0015hrs: Woke, a different person again. I felt angstful, apprehensive and vulnerable. I vaguely recall dreaming of my past failings and wondered if that had any effect on me?

I lay there in the £300 second-hand recliner, wondering if it would operate and let me out of it this morning. The protuberant bulge, known as my stomach made me cringe – especially when it is compared to my skinny arms and wrists.

2Tue03 I thought about the time of the Warfarin INR blood test, but could not remember it – so I struggled out of the working recliner and got the computer on to check on the Google Calendar. Finding that it only said – Blood Test – awaiting time-confirmation. Oh dear! Then I recalled getting a call from the surgery on my mobile last week when I was out walking, and I thought I wrote down somewhere, to update the calendar later. A forage around found no signs of the writings. Eventually, I had to look at the surgery opening times, because a glimmer in the memory told me the appointment was for 0730hrs, but plainly the centre would not see anyone that early? Aha! Seems on a Tuesday, they now open at 0720hrs! I’ll just go for that time, and take the crossword book with me, in case I’ve made another ‘Inchcock Cock-up’. What a Yutz!

Into the kitchen with the camera to do the Health Checks and assess the Evil ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles situation.

I took a picture of the windows, first one with the flash on, second with it off.

2Tue001

Then got the Health Checks and medications sorted.

2Tue02f

The wee-wees this morning were frequent and short & sharp!

Back to the computer, and started this blog off up to here, then I started the long slog of updating yesterdays diary (Lots of graphics and photos).

Got it finished and posted off. Sent some funnies to Pinterest.

Then had a look at the local news. Glad to report that the fire (kitchen) at our sister flats, Manvers Court turned out with no injuries. Manvers Court Kitchen Fire – No injuries

Time to get the ablutions done so as not be late at the surgery for the INR blood test.

Did the stand-up ablutions. To early to use the noisy shower, or the hand-hoover to collect the dead weevils, the noise would disturb my fellow tenants. Medicated certain areas in need of the same.

Got the Anticoagulant Record card, new hearing aid batteries inserted, spectacles on, wristlet alarm left on the cabinet and I set off, in plenty of time.

Once outside, it felt warmer than I thought it would (but turned windy and colder later on). I took the shot of the Woodthorpe Court Asylum on the left, and on the right, The Winchester Court  Institution. I noticed that there were many more lights on in the Winchester apartments. They’ll be a reason for this… I’ll let you know when I find out what it is. Hehe!

2Tue06

I hobbled along in no rush, with my setting out early. The thing that hit me most was the dawn chorus. Of course, there were no cock-a-doodle-doos Hehe! But, the chatter of the bird songs and calls seemed so loud to me this morning. Mind, I had got new hearing aid batteries in! The chicks must have been demanding their breakfast, I suppose.

2Tue07To the end of Chestnut Way and right down the Winchester Street Hill.

Passing the bus shelter on the bend, I spotted some new Nottinghamian Street Art.

Created from a tray and wrapper from some takeaway meal, a takeaway coffee container and I think, a crushed lager can. I’ve seen much better artwork. Hehe!

There were many of the rebarbative Nottinghamian Pavement Cyclist about on the walk to the surgery, and on the way back too.

2Tue10aBy the time I’d got to Carrington, the traffic had increased and come to a stop.

I realised at this point that I was going to be a bit early for my appointment. Partly due to the lack of ailments slowing me down on this mornings journey. No, Anne Gyna, Hippy Hilda or Arthur Itis hassle at all?

Not moaning, of course. Hehe! So, I decided to 2Tue09face my nemesis, and walk into Carrington Square and back onto Mansfield Road, walking through the cut-through where I was mugged a couple of years or so ago. I haven’t walk through it since.

I noticed the lights were working on it today.

Smug Mode Adopted, as I proudly got through and out the other side. My mind had a little daydreaming session about those bad times, of its own accord. But, this only made me feel a bit better, knowing how things had improved for me now.

I ambled across the pelican lights and made my way slowly to the surgery. I could see they were doing the flu-jabs again, and feared this might get the staff uptight like last time.

But, no such thing. All the staff were all in a pleasant mood. (Of course, it was still early yet,  and, they had only just started). Even Doctor Vindla spoke to me, in fact, she was behind the reception desk, and logged me in! Looking good up to now!

2Tue03 I sat down and went to get out the crossword book. Humph! I’d left it in the other bag at home. Eizel!

I had to read a magazine, a ladies or lifestyle one for twenty minutes, yet found some interesting facts from the perusing of it. Did you know, that there is a one-bedroom chalet for sale in Dorset? Close to the beach too! It is on sale for only £100,000. Honestly! But this paled into insignificance when I read of a two-bedroom flat on offer, in Bath. This does take some believing, but I kid you not – advertised at the cost of £1.05 million! I had to double-check it, but I was right. Not £105 thousand! Naturally, I considered buying it! Lie Mode Adopted! Hehe!

I was over the moon when it is was Nurse Nichole who came out to call me in, to be done. We met Nurse Ann as we went in, and she spoke pleasantly to greet me a good day. Nurse Nichole had a laugh or two with me and a little chinwag. Made my day! I handed her some nibbles and left a bag for the receptionists, as I thanked them and departed.

2Tue10By gum, the winds had got up since I arrived at the surgery.

The traffic was still heavy, and it felt far colder now too.

Come to think of it, I reckon I read something like Storm Helene approaches Nottinghamshire earlier on.

Halfway home, and the need for a wee-wee became urgent. This, made me put on a spurt with my hobbling. Anne Gyna did not like this at all. She was already unhappy with my struggling up the Winchester Street hill. Tsk!

I threw a cheery ‘Hello’ thought the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Flats, Oberstgruppenführer Wardens Temporary HQ, Willmott-Dixon workers breakfast and tea-break room, Sarcasm & Insult distribution area, Tenants Socialisation Shed, Telling Inchcock off Zone, Things like crockery and pottery to be stolen from, and residents room window, to Deana and Julie. I didn’t take any photographs either, as the wee-wee situation was getting more urgent. Haha!

2Tue12fThen I met Mary as she was coming out of the foyer. She spoke and did not want to upset her by rushing off, so I had a little natter with her.

This caused me some consternation about if I’d make it back to the flat in time.

I made it with seconds to spare. Phew!

Relieved but still in some discomfort, I remembered to check the calendar for when to ring Mr Sherkhanzai at the clinic. It’s tomorrow PM or Thursday AM.

The sky went a little darker. I took these blind pictures on the right, out of the minuscule kitchen window, of around the flat block.

No workers up on the hoists today, but plenty grafting on the new extra-care block and others taking deliveries in and moving plant gear.

I had to go for another wee-wee, a much longer one this time, and it was very orange coloured for some reason.

Even more dead baby Evil ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles on the wet room floor. I decided the hostilities were to continue and got the Raid spray and dosed all the entry points I knew of in all three rooms. A big flat yer know! Hehehe!

2Tue15

The spare room was the worst for finding live Evil ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles found, along with many young ones that were dead on the unwanted light and view limiting new window ledge.

Oh, I forgot to say. Nurse Nichole has now got Boll-Weevils all over her house, and when she mentioned it, a patient told us that she has got them ay home also!?! Oh, dear! I explained about the Rentokil being the most effective, but expensive, and that Wilko had the Raid Spray on offer, that is pretty effective.

2Tue26I got on with updating this diary. Four hours later, I got the nosh prepared.

Last of the pork knuckle with herbs in the sandwiches. Taste rating a deserved 9.45/10.

Washed the pots and got settled in the £300 second-hand recliner.

To watch the A-Team on the goggle-box.

Five minutes or so later… Zzzz!
