Inchcock Today – Thur 28 Mar 2019: I woke all sort of confused. But got more so as the day progressed. A niggly, frustrating day, with the odd sweet highlight! Tsk!

3Wed27

02:00hrs. I woke up after the broken night’s sleep, with Headache Henrietta still keeping me company. The mind was unusually active for me; busy, it was a mixture of fears, worries, and dissatisfaction with how things are progressing at the moment. I considered my worth and abilities as incompetent, my self-evaluation was low.

WD 153.51.0 I lay there in the second-hand £300 ci1968 rickety recliner for a couple of minutes contemplatively mulling things over. As usual, there were no answers found, no targets or aims set, no solutions presented themselves, and a distinct lack of interest suddenly came over me. I conveniently stored away from reality the emotional fears and wants in the ‘I can’t cope with this’ storage section at the back of the brain, praying they would not return later to chafe, rankle, necrotise, and torment me. (Knowing full well that they would!) By gum, I’d woken in a right emotionally unbalanced state, this morning! Still, after having guiltlessly sent the ruminations and fears to Coventry, I actually felt a little easier, with less theorisationing and practical mental work being needed to fret over!

Getting my heifer-sized-stomached body and protuberate short torso out from the recliner, was an amazingly easy task today? Arthur Itis was absent, fair enough the knees were stiff, but not really painful at all. What’s going on here? I gained a semi-perpendicular stance and trotted off for a wee-wee.

WD 153.51.0 Which requires a further description for you to understand just how different this was to any that had gone before. As a classification, I’ve had to write a new one. I graded this and all the ones that followed today, as a DTAOWWTH (Dribble, tinkle, and-all-over, wee-wee, that hurt). I really should not have bothered, but the sensation that came with each release, told me I had was about to release a torrent of fluid. But never did? What next, Huh! When I was already in the wet room, conveniently, the Porcelain Throne was needed.

4Thu001A fairly good evacuation. Washed up and had a perusal of the legs with the aid of the camera.

I wonder if it really was my wearing the bamboo socks that have made the pins look so much better this morning? The toes felt more comfortable, and didn’t feel so cramped up if you know what I mean?

The few blood papsule had appeared, but no new spider-veins. The fluid retention was still there, but it was shared-out more evenly now, between the top and bottom halves of the pins, the ankles, and tootsies.

I’m already missing the gnarling of the knees. Like the nephelococcygiac I am, I enjoyed finding figures and patterns in the old knee cap area. Hehe!

Took the morning medications with an extra Codeine Phosphate to try and ease Headache Henrietta.

WD 153.51.0 I made a start on updating the Wednesday Diary and got it posted off to WordPress. Taking just three more DTAOWWTH wee-wees, and had an attack from Dizzy Dennis while I did it.

4Thu05I got the Health Checks sorted out. With the sphygmomanometer needing three tries to get it to work.

Results looked fair enough apart from the Pulse going down to 72, from its previous readings of 90 for the last three checks? I didn’t use the scales today. (Well, I just knew I didn’t need them to know my weight had increased!)

Off for another DTAOWWTH. Even less flowed this time, and it had lost its colourisation?

WD 153.51.0 I checked the Emails.

3Wed28

This means I will have to miss the third social hour in a row; if I collect them today. If I go tomorrow, I’ll miss seeing Jane and Pete! Life stinks sometimes!

4Thu04I don’t know why, but the brain started thinking of comestible eatables. Whatever I end up having for my nosh, later on, it will include the Nayoora Sicilian Marina tomatoes. Having unthinkingly paid a pound for each of the toms, I intend to enjoy them! Haha!

The Liberty-Global, Virgin Internet service was slow and kept going down and I could not save what I had done

Virg 153.51.0

As I made a start on creating this load of tripe, I had to take another DTAOWWTH. The colour was very pale again.

4Thu05aIt was 06:25hrs, already.

I made a brew of the wonderfully tasty Glengettie tea, and photographicalised the scene through the unwanted light and view-blocking new kitchen windows, with its unreachable in safety to clean panes of glass.

Red sky in the morning – Shepherd Warning?

WD 153.51.0 Back to the computer, and… Tsk! I got this updated as far as here and went on the WP reader section.

The wee-wees were lessening now, one more and then they seem to have stopped altogether? It appears that phenakism is now creeping into my everyday life (Using the word, life, in its loosest sense). Hehe!

Then got the ablutions sorted out.

WD 153.51.0 The activity of getting the PPs and socks on afterwards was worthy of being filmed! It would have come close to the merits of an Eric Sykes or Spike Milligan class script. And probably have earned some Comedy Award of some sort!

In defiance of things being a tad confused and my irritableness with things going wrong lately, I was in a decent mood, as I departed the flats to go to the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights, Hauptbereitschaftsleiteress Warden’s Temporary HQ. Sarcasm & Insult distribution area. Tenants Socialisationistical Meeting Shed. Telling Inchcock off Zone. Where things like crockery and pottery get stolen from, desarcination depot, Rumourmongering Clinic, habrobaniacal-elimination booth, and somewhere to rest while waiting for the bus, Portakabin.

2019 Feb 26aI spoke with Pole dancer, Leutnant Untersturmführeress Warden, and perimeter Guard Machine Gun nest Officer Deana.

We chatted, and in the hopes that she might pass it on to the other tenants when the Winwood Social hour began, about the Email and my I had to go to the chemists to pick up the prescription for the sock-glide and the socks. Because I could not see me getting back in time for the start of the Social-Hour.

4Thu06I said my farewells and set off, on the hobble to Carrington’s Pharmacy. With a feeling of oblectation; at the thought of at last getting the sock-glide and hosiery at long last! I thought of my beloved TFZer on Facebook, who mentioned the blue skies in a comment on one of last weeks photos, when I saw how blue they were again, as I limped down Winchester Street. Sandie, Janet, Marie, Shirley, and Linda I think it was who mentioned this. ♥

I walked down and left onto Mansfield Road. Where I called in the Oran International Food centre store. I came out with a loaf of bread, three slices of Polish pork shoulder, and a packet of Lemon Cream Wafers. Oh, and some Silesian thin cooked sausages.

I went all the way up the road and out of Sherwood and was going down into Carrington before I seemed to know it. The feet reminded me. Hehe! I pressed on with more of a 4Thu09struggle, after this. Tsk!

WD 153.51.0 As I pressed on, a naughty Nottinghamian Cyclist passed me by. I turned back and took this photo of the young ‘Herbert’. This does no good, I know!

WD 153.51.0 Minutes later as I neared the Carrington Chemist shop, another Nottinghamian Scum-Ball Pavement Cyclist was approaching me in the centre of the footpath, and he was riding with no hands guiding his handlebar! With pedestrians all around him.  I don’t mind in the least if he should fall off of his chosen form of transport and break a leg or more hopefully bleed to death before help can arrive.

But his putting others at needless risk, annoyed me. So much so, I spoke a few words to him as he went by me. I did not swear or curse, I just pointed out his antisocial riding on pavements was not only illegal but a danger to others, especially, when he was not in proper control! Oh, Yes!… In return, he questioned my parentage, told me to Go forth and multiply, and stuck a finger up at me. He added as he rode away, that I was a silly-old-man, but he used different wording! Ah well, the poor young unshaven thing was obviously too scared to ride his bike on the road a yet a cable bully. The lady all in black, behind the one in an amber coloured coat, advised me not to upset him, even if he was in the wrong, he’s a thug! I wish she’d been able to warn me earlier. Hehehe!

WD 153.51.0 Full of hope and expecting to pick up at long last, the prescriptions, I went into the chemists. The moment I got that infamous look that said: “Oh dear, him again!” I knew I was in for a disappointment.

4Thu14

But, he did say he could phone me when they arrive, ETA a couple of weeks! I meekly pointed to my ears, I was devastated, I could not find the words or will-power to tell him about my hearing! He offered to send me an email, and I gave him my address.

A very let-down, disheartened, irritated and pissed off old man Inchcock muttered a thank you, and left the shop!

4Thu10I went to the bus stop, already too late to get any benefit from going to the Winwood Social hour, not enough in time.

I spoke with some pigeons at the bus stop. This really impressed the other people in the queue. Tsk!

But I was on such downer, it didn’t bother me. I couldn’t remember feeling so browned off, 4Thu11narked, resentful, aggrieved, piqued and irritated with things for many a year! And I felt a touch guilty about it.

While waiting for the bus, I took a shot of the blue sky over Carrington, I can post with some others to the TFZ site.

When a bus did arrive, it did not stop when a bloke put his had out. I didn’t notice if the PSV 4Thu12was full or not, and that was why he didn’t pull in. Oddly, this did not bother me?

Caught the next bus into Sherwood. I crossed over the pelican crossing and made my way to the Hall Street request stop. There would not be another L9 for forty-minutes yet, but a 40 bus that would take me part-way to Winwood Heights was due in ten-minute, so I caught that up Winchester Street, walked up from the bus 4Thu13stop, back to the flats.

Walking up by the garage and dry cleaners, I spotted something I missed on the way down Winchester Street earlier.

A lovely bit of Nottingham inherent nature.

As sweet as any rose methinks.

4Thu13aaI got to the top of Winchester Street, to Chestnut Grove, and took this photograph of the Winwood Heights in all its glory.

The small white cabin on the left, is the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Flats, Oberstgruppenführer Wardens Temporary HQ, Toilet, Sarcasm & Insult distribution area, Rumourmongering Clinic. Tenants Socialisation Shed. Telling Inchcock off Zone. Things like china and pottery to be stolen from, and residents room. Where I was headed to try and catch at least some of the Winwood Social meeting.

I felt bad at having to miss it again. I’m sure the NHS keeps making appointments on a Thursday just to keep me away from it. Haha! I got in, but sensed that I was a naughty boy for being so late! Although, Cyndy, Gaynor, Doris, Nora along with and Frank. Bill (William on Sundays) were kind enough to have a natter with me. Even if it was one-sided with me wanting to moan about things, bless um! It was soon time to get off back to the flat, and it was a pleasure to be able to walk Nora back home. Which cheered me up!

Said my farewells to Nora as she left the lift (I should have taken her to her door really, Grumph!) and got in the apartment and got the computer on to update this blog, which took me until 16:00hrs! With the usual delays from Mr Fries!

4Thu27I made some sarnies and chips for the nosh.

Such a tiring day, I fell asleep, into a deep welcoming, forget-your-woes, sleep.

WD 153.51.0 The landline light flashed. T’was Jane’s Pete, it seems I had missed sending them a link to the blog for yesterday, and they were concerned.

A niggly, frustrating day, with the odd sweet highlight!

  1. Your stockings and sock-glide ordeal reminds me of the song “Long Distance Runaround” by Yes. You have to dodge kamikaze pavement cyclists and endure disgusted looks for nothing. Arg how frustrating. At least you had one heck of a great looking dinner.

    • I’ve not heard “Long Distance Runaround” by Yes before. Looked up the lyrics, a few lines that fit with my farce in it, you’re right, Tim!
      Niggly day it was! Humph!
      cheers Sir!
