WD Indigo 00:25hrs: I woke, with some of my joints, bones, tendons, etc. not hurting. (There must have one somewhere on my overgrown hulk of body mass, not in agony, surely? Haha!) The moment I tried to move, Arthur Itis let me know, in no uncertain terms, of his reluctance to move without causing me more than flesh and blood can stand, excruciating torture!  I applied a generous dose of the Phor-Pan gel, thought of getting up but fell asleep again. Unwonted, in the extreme for me!

01:00hrs: I stirred again, this time in need of a wee-wee. I disentangle my abundant-body from the Brother-in-Law Pete damaged, while he was flat-sitting while I was in hospital, fitting new CCTC cameras, and searching for my valuables (I’ve not got them back yet!), £300, second-hand, near-dilapidated, gungy-beige coloured, c1968, sometimes working, uncomfortable, rickety, rinky-dinked, rattling, rusty, resurrected, reconditioned, recalcitrant, recidivating and rotting-away recliner. This caused much uncomfortableness and agony! I was astounded to find the GPWWB (Grey-Plastic-Wee-Wee-Bucket) had not been used, in fact, it was still in the kitchen! Where I went to do my duty. The wee-wee was of the SSAOW (Short-Sharp-All-Over-With) variety.

WD Indigo Ac The handwashing hanging up to dry was no longer hanging up! It had fallen into the water-filled bowl beneath! I cursed silently and got it rang put again, and re-hung. But I mustn’t kvetch. Not after the last two days worth of utter depressionalisationing, Whoopsidangleplops. Accifauxpas and failures, this is nothing! Humph!

Gawd, the legs and back ain’t half bad this morning, as is to be expected, but not wallowed-over. Haha!

Off to the Porcelain Throne. This evacuation was so different again to yesterdays. A right messy affair! Got things cleaned up, and had a stand-up wash. Too early to use the noisy shower, and had to be done, before the Morrison food delivery arrives twixt 06:00 – 07:00 hours.

The aches and pains were not easing off at all yet. Ablutions tended to. Results: Dropsies 5, Sock Glide 0-1, and one stubbed toe. Hehe! Medications were taken.

3Wed001On to the balcony to take a shot through the glass, of the morning weather.

Then I got onto updating the Tuesday post. Which took me three hours or so. In between, the Morrison delivery arrived. I’d got some cans of Triple Coffee that were on offer, to treat the Wardens, they were delivered cooled, so I put them in the fridge. Put the rest of the fodder away, and took the black bags to the chute.

Made a start on this blog. Got things ready to go out. Put the treats fro, fridge to the trolley bag. Then double-checked, lights, cooker, taps (faucets), heaters, etc. and set out, taking the yellow bag of recyclables with me, dropped it off at the caretaker’s door.

1Mon14

Then back in and along the link-corridor to Winwood Court. Checking the door out to the new sitting area outside. It is still not been repaired. I’m losing interest in sitting outside as winter approaches. Tsk! I don’t even know if the Emergency door release would work in the event of a fire alarm activation. At least there is a fire alarm button that we can press before they find our charred dismembered bodies.

I got to the Obersturmfuhreresses and Catwalk Model wardens holding cell and interrogation room and handed the treats and nibbles out.  Then walked out to the bus stop. A few tenants already there and a chinwag developed.

WD Indigo Then when I was struggling to ear-wag, I realised that I had not got my hearing aids in. So, back to the flat, and could not find them at first! By the time I discovered where I’d left them, in the hallway radiator and got back to the bus stop, the bus was City Bound bus was arriving. Phew, lucky there!

3Wed001bMary had bought herself a new three-wheeled trolley from Argos. She’d bought some clips that she can hang a brolly and so forth on. A good looking one, with a bag and wire carrier as well, it cost her £59. Big wheels, which looked nice and stable. She nattered while we were en route, and in town, we both went into the Poundland Store, for her to show me where the handy looking lever-hooks were to be got from. But they had not any in stock today. Mary insisted that I have two of her’s, she would not allow me to refuse. Bless her. I bought two bags of Sherbert Saucers.

We left and parted company. I hobbled to the Tim Price Building on Woolpack Lane in Nottingham, that I found an old photo of on the web, to see how it looked now.

3Wed01i

All changed in today’s view. Tim has been busy! Haha!

3Wed01JWith an aching body and painful knees, I had an amble to Huntington Street, to call in the Aldi store.

On Glasshouse Street, all the old closed down for thirty-odd years shops were being demolished, at last. Apparently, they are to build even more students accommodation flats!

The current 23,000 Council provided ones, seemingly, are not enough.

After an aching limp aroundAldi, I came out with more than I needed… again: 3 packets of sliced Smoked Brunswick ham, Sourdough Baguettes, Smoked streaky bacon, Dutch Vine tomatoes, Cooked pork loin slices, Worcester apples, Chicken drumsticks, and a dry room Spray. Paid for the things, during which …

WD Indigo The leg did a Neuropathic Schuhplattler dance, and the hand started to lose all contact sense. Hence, most of the fodder was being put in the bag, via a trip to the floor!

The girl on the checkout came out and put the things in the bags for me. While tutting and eyes-to-the-skies customers behind me got a little irritable. I felt such a fool! I thanked her and paid. Then went to the wall near the door and waited for ten minutes or so until everything neuralgia-wise had calmed down. Hoping that Arthur Itis might join in the easing-off stakes too.

3Wed01eWD Indigo There were even more closed down, for rent retail premises. As I meandered painfully around the streets, taking a convoluted, all over the place hobble, eventually arriving at the Victoria Centre shopping centre (mall). I went to the Tesco store. I haven’t been there for many a month, but my EQ told me I had not missed anything, a right dump of a shop!

3Wed01fI got some Leicester grated cheese for the cheesy potatoes of Josie and me on Sunday, and a jar of beetroot and gherkins Which were so leathery and bland, even I considered returning them with a complaint.

WD Indigo But I recall the first time I returned anything was to the Carlton Road Tesco store. A pork pie I had bought had bits of what looked like J-clothes in it. The haughty customer Service lady said there was nothing they could do without my having the receipt! And walked off, leaving the pork pie on her counter! The second time, when I moved into the flat here, I ordered a wall clock, which was delivered broken! I got Pete to call them and inform them about things, and I never heard anything from them, let alone a mention of any refund! This coming to mind, I shall not go in the flea-pit again!

3Wed01LWD Indigo As I left the mall, onto Milton Street, a Nottinghamian Pavement Cyclist nearly clouted me as he shot by… then pulled up in the middle of his weaving through the pedestrians… to answer his mobile phone! Making people have to walk around him on the pavement! I boiled inside at the ignorance and uncaring attitude of these young cyclists, this one in particular. But I shall not call him names. Even if he is an ill-bred, bully-boy, scared of riding on the road, the prat-pants wearing to show off his tattoos, scoundrel of a moronic, arrogant, imbecilic, antisocial son-of-a-grunt!

I made my way to the bus stop and caught the L9. Mary got on the bus at the next stop and nattered away en route. I was well-drained, but the aches and pains, apart from Arthur Rheumatoid Itis, were more manageable. I told Mary of the sourdough baguettes and gave her one when she showed an interest.

3Wed01NWe had a moan and laugh as we walked through the link-passage. We tested the door opening on the exit door to the alfresco seating.

WD Indigo Of course, it was not repaired or working yet. But, one day, it might get done. I just hope I’ll not be too old to use it by then! Mind you, in a month or so, the weather will turn too cold for me to sit outside, anyway!

Mary got off the lift on her first floor, farewells exchanged, and back to the flat, I went. I actually felt worse after I’d got inside, suddenly so drained, and so early in the day again?

A wee-wee (they have been few and far between today?), took the medications and stripped-off and got the handwashing done, hung to dry.

3Wed01mThen started the meal. A cold imitation salad of sorts. Chicken thigh, sliced Worcester apple (Very tangy!), rice & corn pats, gherkins (the Tesco ones, that were horrible to the palate), cooked beetroot, and Milk Roll buttered tomato sarnies. A mini-bottle of orange juice added.

WD Indigo As I was serving it up, I remembered I had not got what I went to town to get in the first place, a tomato slicer! What a nitwit and klutz, I truly am! Some folk might say, idiot, fool, do-do, lamebrain, wazzock, gobdaw, dunce, or a cretin. But they’d all be right!

I washed the pots and had a rinse, and settled into the The Brother-in-Law Pete damaged while he was flat-sitting, when I  was in hospital, as he fitted new CCTC cameras, and searched for my valuables, which he found and took, I still haven’t got them back yet four-months later, £300, second-hand, near-dilapidated recliner. I turned on the TV, and amazingly stayed awake to watch nearly a full Rumpole of the Baily episode, but missed the ending. Woke later, and the A-Team was on… fell asleep again. Woke later, Interceptors were on the box.

Zzzz!

  1. You need to write TOMATO SLICER on your computer screen and take a photo of it. if you check your camera’s screen when you are ready to do a street photo it will act as a reminder. I’ve done that before. Went out for a specific thing, go distracted and forgot what I went out for until I go home and didn’t have it. It’s very annoying and curse word worthy.

I see my building has had some work done on it over the years. Is it cold there? People are bundled up in winter jackets.

You body was complaining at you for all that therapy session yesterday. We had a meeting in Socorro today, 70 miles south of Albuquerque. I was reminded that one of our staff who had a stroke five years ago lives in Socorro. After five years she still has very limited use of one arm, and has a very hard time getting around, and difficulty speaking. Another staff member who had a stroke about 10 years ago, recovered really well. He retired a few years ago and he is still quite ornery.

You put together a decent looking dinner.

    • What a brilliant idea, Tim, thanks. I’ll try that, I’ve just taken a photo and put the SD card back in the Canon.
The dang “Off into the ether, never to be seen again” photos, still amazes and annoys me. Tsk!
‘Curse-word worthy’, I love that phrase, mate.
I thought I was having another stroke this morning, frit me for a while. A new funny-turn style. Getting in touch with the doctors is a challenge, it might be easier to climb Mount Everest, with my legs tied together and blindfolded!
Ah, the Stroke Physio session, they say the exercised get a little harder each week. Humph!
You mentioning the poor stroke sufferers, I did notice the vast difference in my fellow patients on Tuesday. I was the only one with a walking guide. Next week I’ll take a stick with me if I can carry it, and only use the trolley outside. I got some very odd looks from the others. Some of whom, you would not believe had had any stroke, so well they had recovered, outwardly. Pot-luck, I suppose, but good for them!
I’m sure, if it wasn’t for the CIDP, neuralgia, Rheumatoid Arthur Itis, Duoden… the other ailments, I would not have been so affected, Sir.
I hope the two employees, especially the lady, are still going and coping with things. I’m lucky, I can still hobble about and love walking, even now. The time everything takes to do is the most annoying thing.
      I’m waffling again! Sorry.
All my bestest wishes to the clan and yourself.
      TTFNski.

      • I’ve got the tune in my head, straight away, Tim. A cracking uplifting song tht one was.
I meant so long to do everyday jobs. Socks on, typing (depending on how the neuralgia is) and my amazing new trick of dropping things! Haha! I still forget and use the right hand, that often lets me down. The ablution sessions can turn into marathons, Hehehe!
I’m far better off than many folks, though.
        Cheers.
