Dang, keys!

INCHCOCK TODAY

Monday 22nd February 2021

Greek: Δευτέρα 22 Φεβρουαρίου 2021

Forever waking up, at times with memories of a dream or nightmare, and repeating the process for hours and hours… it was a horrible experience. The worse bit now is I cannot recall the happenings with any clarity at all. The old standard on a boat or barge was in there somewhere, but nowt concrete memory-wise.

02:40hrs: I lay there, having woken up for the twentieth time, and the innards indicated it would be a good idea to pay the Porcelain Throne a visit. So, I did!

Gathering the equilibrium and ability to do so safely was a little harrowing. The catching of my balance didn’t work as well as usual, and I had to really take care not to go over en route to the wet room and when I opened the door…

I’d left the light on and the wall-heater on full blast! I turned it off and continued getting my rear-end down on the raised plastic seat – and only just in time, too! A puke-making aroma came with the evacuation. Again a red and black mixture of mini meatballs, seemingly linked together? Painful, stinky, and messy! One of the most unpleasant evacuations I’ve ever had. The tremendous heat in there didn’t help any.

I was muddle-headed when I came out, and entering the cold flat, made me shiver. Brrr! I got the Thermal Hat on posthaste. And did the Health Checks. Al looked fair to me.

I made a start of the updating of the Sunday blog. I pressed on and got it finished. Posted it off, emailed the link, and had a go at the WordPress Reader section. Coughing and sneezing throughout!

I went to make a brew of Glengettie, and doing this, I had a sneezing bout again. I felt a little escape from the rear-end and rushed back to the Porcelain Throne! The evacuation was almost entirely liquid, this time an olive coloured small dollop. It left me feeling weak for some reason? The feeling that I would be back shortly was with me. Humph!

I did the Post-Dump Health Checks. The coughing and sneezing are getting annoying now! Phlegm from the chest was flowing a little freer.

Made a start on this post and then went of Facebooking catch-up. Not for long… I had to rush back to the Throne again! This one was worse in one way; it was 90% water and yellow water at that. It took me ages to clean the place up after the evacuation, and I was beginning to feel a bit bilious now? I keep shivering, coughing, sneezing and nervous of puking up; this is not going to be a good day; I don’t need the EQ to tell me this. A smidge of self-pity sneaking in, here?

Back to the Facebooking. The stomach giving off little rumbles, and on tenter-hooks that I will soon be off in a hurry again to the Throne.

I am not doing too well today. I wonder what time the Warfarin vampire will come? I’d better try to get the ablutions done early, in case she does arrive at a reasonable time.

The tummy seems to be settling a bit at last. I’ll risk a cuppa and some biscuits, methinks.

I had a few involuntary Thought Storms, which did me no good at all. The shivering moments continue!

I took off the quilt I was wearing around my stomach, and I set to giving it a good washing. It took a good while, but eventually, I got it hung above the sink, smelling much fresher than it did before.

Next, I got the ablutions tackled, the body shivering while I did the teeth and shaving. The tummy beginning to rumble again!

I didn’t feel as bad as I thought I would during the ablutionalisationing.

No calls for the Throne. The legs looked in fine form, the blotches and lumps seem to have gone on holiday?

The showering was something else altogether, only three dropsies, no bangs or knocks, and Dizzy Dennis didn’t visit me at all! In fact, the total dropsies added up to perhaps six at most!

I got dressed, hoping I smell a bit better than I did when I woke up, and I updated this blog. Expecting the Warfarin Vampire nurse will arrive early rather than late.

I risked making another mug of Glengettie Gold! Got the kettle on and wrung out the quilt hanging, and the intercom burst forth. It was the Warfarin nurse, one of my favourites. Cuddly and pleasant.

We spoke of the reactions I was having to the Covid Vaccine.

  • I mentioned my sleeping for fifteen hours, and she said her mother did the same, but for twenty-four hours! Blimey!
  • The dizzies and stomach rumblings. Almost every one of Angel’s patients having the vaccination suffered the same.
  • Told her of the repeated watery Throne visits and what they were like. Angel said several of her patients had the same thing for up to four or five days! Oh, dearie me!
  • Said I was losing track of the days. Several of Angel’s other patients had the same thing…
  • In fact, she had the same reactions herself! And knew how worried I must be. Bless her!
  • She recommended that I do as little as possible and just rest. That sounded good advice to me!
  • She told me to try and eat something today, but not to force it,
  • if I get any reactions from the innards.

She took the blood painlessly. Helped me back into the zip-up jacket and had to go to her next patient. I convinced her to try a packet of the Lemon Wafers as a thank you.

I got back to making the tea after the angel had gone. I pondered what she told me about eating and made up a saucepan of Chillie-Con-Carni, adding some garden peas, rost paprika, Oxo, and gravy salts. Gave it a good mix-up and will leave it to marinate, stirring again now and then, to try eating further along the day.

I am feeling drained again already today. I’m going to take a rest, I think.

This was the worst period since the vaccination. All I could do for many hours was just sit there, unmoving apart from a few painful Throne trips, resulting in stomach ache each time as the terrible black stinking wet bits flowed. Many times I considered pressing the alarm button. I felt that bad. I dreamt, woke, did nothing but feel sorry for myself; I did find this photo on the camera the next day. Obviously taken from where I was lounging for so many uncomfortable, head-spinning hours in the recliner.

I was getting more and more fed-up and out of control mind-wise. I think I was blurring thoughts from the nightmares and reality, and this went on for hours.

On one of the many visits to the Throne, I recalled what the nurse said and could smell the Chilli-Con-Carni mix coming from the kitchen. I struggled with it, but I got some served up,

I was determined to eat something, as the nurse said. I slowly got through most of it, went to through the rest away, and promptly spewed-up what I’d eaten.

I think it was the last visit to the Throne, and I just settled again. Sweaty, unhealthy, depressed, and sorry for myself. The Vaccine has made me properly poorly, and many others, according to the nurse. The effects of it go on and on relentlessly. I get worse and worse, coughing and sneezing again now; the phlegm from the chest feels almost solid at times, destroying any chance of sleep every bout.

Eventually, another visit to the throne was needed. This was so terrible, the pearl-like strings of contents were bloody and black, but at least they flowed free enough this time. Sheer depression and self-loathing reigned.

As I sat there in pain and a fed-up state like never before, bits of a repeated dream, I’d been having came to mind. By the time I got to write a bit down, most thoughts had gone off to the ether. I know for sure that I was in a model train shop, and everything started to so so small I could not see or buy what I wanted? Why this, above all the other crap I’d dreamt of, some of them while awake,

I’m not sure why this should be so special, I don’t know, I just felt it was?

I dare not risk a cup of tea yet, with the innards so delicate.

I am my lowest ebb for years. The thought of the second-follow-up vaccination coming, and going through all these mind-boggling, body and mind-tormenting times again, scares me to death!

That’s how bad I feel. Horrible!

INCHCOCK TODAY

Sunday 21st February 2021

Spanish: Domingo 21 de Febrero de 2021

05:40hrs: I woke up wondering what day it was, the time it was etc., confusion reigned. By the time I’d realised that I’d been sleeping for over fifteen hours, things didn’t seem to matter anymore? I had to battle the puddled mind to get a semi-grasp on reality. The first thing that came to me was that the prescriptions had arrived and needed sorting out into weekly pots.

I got in a muddle sorting them, and made a mistake after error, and have no idea if I’ve got them right or not. It took me hours.

I got the kettle on, and the summoning to the Porcelain Throne arrived. Off to the wet room.

I got down hastily on the raised plastic seat, and a most other-type evacuation began. The escaping product was black and red, looked like nuggets moulded together in a line? It hurt as well but at least didn’t last too long, which is just as well because Harold’s Haemorrhoids have never been more painful! It took a couple of hand-filled tank flushes to clear things away. Not a good experience, which I partly put down to the vaccine, mayhaps?

I cleaned up and got the Health Checks done. The pulse was up a smidge at 99bpm. The SYS and DIA were in range.

The body temperature at 37.0°c looked okay.

I cracked on with updating the Saturday blog. Got it finished and emailed the link. Pinterested a photo or two. Went on Facebooking catch-up. Then I went on the WordPress reader section.

I did the 2nd Health Checks a little sooner than planned. Looked okay to me.

I made a brew of Glengettie Gold and made some brekkers.

I took the fodder to the computer and ate my breakfast from the drawer as I started this blog going.

I got the ablutions sorted out, so I had plenty of time to get Josies Sunday meal cooked. The session went marvellously well!

Only one cut shaving, and a total of only about four dropsies! The showering was uneventful, but I did manage to misjudge the spacial-awareness coming out afterwards, but no damage to the door frame. I managed to clout the arm right where the vaccinations spot was. Hehe!

I mage up some waste bags and got them in the box on top of the three-wheeled walker in the hallway. I’ll take them down later, but not yet; there will be more mess made making Josie’s meal that will need sorting first.

I decided to get everything prepped as much as was possible beforehand.

I got the nosh together and all ready for doing up later and got on with handwashing my thin long-sleeve t-shirts.

All was done, wrung and hung, above the sink.

I got on with serving up the Sunday nosh, taking care with presenting it, as any Sunday chef would do. The BBQ sauced mackerel smelt lovely, and extra cheese and butter sneaked into the potatoes again; I wish I could have eaten it. Hehehehe!.

Delivered a couple of minutes before the instructed time of 12:00hrs, Josie seemed content with it.

I got on the computer to update this diary and was unsure how I felt in myself, not really. With the phenomenal amount of sleep I think I’d had, I felt I should have been perkier than I was.  I was almost irritable at any and everything that was happening, suddenly? I began to question whether I had had so much sleep… But it makes sense, so why do I begin to feel tired again, so early in the day? Mayhaps just the effects of the vaccination yesterday?

I made my way out of the flat door, stubbing my toe en route, and carefully made my way to the Waste-Chute room. Not a soul about. the usual Sunday misery.

I arrived, and dropped the various waste bags down the chute, and had a farcical series of dizzy spells. Odd, because each time it came on repeatedly, I was in a perfect position to grab hold of something for support. Amazing!

I got back and was not in any position to do owt constructive. Indeed fatigue and weariness ruled.

Didn’t feel up to eating or drinking at all. Got down and was soon in the land of nod; it was horrible. Forever jumping awake, specific concerns to the fore, a minute or two sleeping and back awake, remembering bits of dreams… well, nightmares.

INCHCOCK TODAY

Friday 19th February 2021

Samoan: Aso Faraile 19 Fepuari 2021

23:25hrs: Woke with a start, in need of a wee-wee. I disentangle my overly-stomached body from the £300, second-hand, c1968, eyesore of a horrendously-grungy coloured, haemorrhoid-testing, unfit-for-use recliner, and caught my balance. A few hobbles to the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee Bucket) and, I was somewhat disappointed in the reluctant trickle that followed.

My head seemed clearer this morning; the vagueness of the last few days seemed to be lessening? We’ll see! I made a brew of Glengettie Gold, but the taste-buds tasted only acidy, metallic flavour, eurgh! I’ll stick with the spring water, methinks.

Despite the best efforts of SSS (Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley) and SS (Saccades Sandra), I pressed on and got the updating of the Thursday diary completed. I long, a mistake-ridden affair that took too long, with the ever-correcting. Posted it off to WordPress. Pinterested two snaps, Emailed the link, and I went on Facebooking catch-up.

Had a go on the WordPress Reader section. I’m not sure if they have problems with it, but only a handful of new posts showed up?

I did the Pre-Dump Health Checks. The Boots Sphygmomanometer, manufactured by ZDEAC (Zhongshan Daguan Electrical Appliance Company Ltd) in Guangdong, China, gave up some amazing results. SYS at 137, the lowest it’s been for many a month, DIA at 67 and PULSE at a nice low reading of 80 bpm!

The Chinese (Hong Kong) made by Shenzhen Relee Electronic & Technology Co. Ltd, contactless thermometer result, cheered my up no-end! 33.1°c – 91.58°f… Grrreat! At the back of my mind, there was hope that the virus is improving? The dry sore-throat remains, as does the cough, but not as bad as it was. Fingers crossed!

Pondering whether to have a mug of Glengettie or not, I had a pica craving. I decided to have a mug of the Glengettie and eat a sour iced-sucker with it… I know; I’ve no idea where the allotriophagy came from, either. But the lolly affected the flavour of the tea, and it was well passable? Not so acidy or metallic tasting when eating the sucker with it.

Then, I got the urge to do the handwashing. Just the maroon Pakistani made Cedar Wood Hollow-out Round Neck thermal Sweater. I got washed, rinsed, fabric softened and hung above the sink.

I used the new substituted from Iceland, fabric conditioner. Very costly, too. According to the label: Comfort Creations, blended by perfume experts! Honeysuckle & Sandalwood. Super-Concentrated. I  thought it was time for a bit of well-intended, advice-giving…

This crap but expensive fabric conditioner stinks awful! Like when one walked through a ladies perfume stand in a shop. Sweet and sickly!

The bombilation from the ‘Hum’ began to get louder, and I think there was machine-made noise coming from above as well.

There has been no gurglings or signs of life from the innards at all this morning? Most different? Then as I was cleaning up from the washing mess I’m made, I had to make my way to the Porcelain Throne in some haste, all to no avail!

CW05Again, I felt the sensation that a few pounds of compacted-product wanted to be released, but the innards clung-on to it like glue! I had a go at the crossword in the hope things may activate – they didn’t. Mind you, I did get two answers to the puzzle!

I carried out the Post-Dump Health Checks.

The Sphygmomanometer showed: SYS 145, DIA 69 and PULSE 84, noting to worry about there.

The Chinese (Hong Kong) made by Shenzhen Relee Electronic & Technology Co. Ltd, contactless thermometer, had shot up from earlier. 36.5°c – 97.7°f. Quite a jump?

I made a start on this diary. Then went onto CorelDraw to do a couple of graphics for later use.

Then I got the ablutioning sorted out. And jolly fine it went, too! The teeth-cleaning two dropsies, but otherwise, it was problemless! Oh, yes!

The shaving had a few more dropsies but no hassle in retrieving the razors. One, I say, one tiny nick only!

The showering had a couple of losses balance and one dizzy spell. No bangs, toe-stubbing or walking into anything at all!

The medicating went well, although I did get an attack of the dropsies doing it. The olive oil bottle, the Germoloid and the Cortisone cream (twice) tubes. Both nasal clearing sprays as well. But on the bright side, Harold’s Haemorrhoids were as good as gold! I dropped the Brute spray and putting on the new PPs.

I found out how easy the Morrison ones are to split and tear! Hehehe! Not a bad session compared to some I’ve had. I got dressed easily enough.

Came out and made a brew, then called Deana to ask her to phone the chemist for me; I’ve only a few days of prescriptions left.

Answer phone, so I assume the gal is busy. I meant to ask her yesterday, but I forgot all about it. I tried twice more during the day, without any luck. I may have to bother and ask Jenny to help me again and give the chemist a ring about my prescriptions.

I know what you are thinking, how can such a young, fit, healthy, keen, alert, intelligent, distinguished, well-educated youthful, cherished person like me forget anything. Ahem!

But, I did remember to see if any Sainsbury delivery slots were available. No morning slots and only one day-time spot was available.  For next Friday 26th February, at 16:00>17:00hrs. Not so bad, just a week to wait. So, I made the order and sent it off.

The tea had gone cold, so I went to make another brew, not that it stated ‘right’ yet, but it is a little less irony tasting.

I had a look at the comments that had come in. And flaked…

I got the Chilli-Con-Carni made up and coked slowly… mainly because I was stirring away and taking nibbles of the American vegetarian chilli on and off, for an hour, then realised I’d not turned the cooker power on!

What a plonka!

Some milk toll bread to soak up the amazing flavoured gravy. I’d added some veg and meat Oxo to it and a few extra black beans. Flavour Rating: 9/10! The pot of jelly and custard went down well, too.

Grrreat!

Sweet Morpheus welcomed me, even though I wanted to stay awake long enough to watch ‘Tales of the Unexpected’.

No chance! The bliss enveloped me as the programme started, and I stayed in the land of nod for three hours – but sprang awake as the landline flashed.

The Community Nursing lady confirmed that they will be coming Saturday for the Covid and Monday to do the Warfarin blood testing.

Sleep was no longer an option; I was wide-awake. Thoughts-Storming away and coughing a bit.

Hey-Ho!

TFZer Prizegiving Ball – Damned Covid-19! Hehe!

INCHCOCK TODAY

Wednesday 17th February 2021

Italiano: Martedì 17 Febbraio 2021

Been up all night, since giving up on my attempts at getting some sleep: Colin Cramps, Coughing, Shivering and Thought Storms put an end to the search for Sweet Morpheus.

I had a wee-wee, then got another bottle of spring water, the throat was dry and sore. I think te taste-buds have gone on strike again. The brew of Glengettie was undrinkable. An irony taste, and despite not having a meal yesterday, I had no desire for food.

I went to empty, clean and sanitize the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee Bucket), and found a letter had been posted. It was from Matt Hancock, Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, re the new Coronavirus, can and can’t do details and instructions. Telling me to continue to stay at home in lockdown, until 31st March 2021.

Fancy that!

I cleaned the bucket and returned it to near the computer for later use. Then got the Pre-Dump (Thanks to Tim Price for this terminology, Hehe!), got the Health Checks done. Gotten Himmel! What a change again. The SYS had gone down to 121. Never been lower. DIA 68. and PULSE at only 80. The Chinese (Hong Kong) made, by, Shenzhen Relee Electronic & Technology Co. Ltd, contactless thermometer, was in the green again, with 36.8°c-98.24°f, might be smidge high, but much lower than the last two readings taken.

I started and persevered with the updating of the Tuesday blog. The ailments were being kind to me, just a lack of concentration delayed me to start with. Then Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters started to become intermittent, and I lost a lot of time, forever making errors and correcting things.

Got it finished, had an SP wee-wee (Short-Powerfull) type, which had a long, frustrating PMAD (Post-Micturition-After Dribbling) follow-on. Posted off the diary, emailed the link, and viewed and read the WordPress reader section. Facebooking, then I pondered on whether to make a brew or not… but the irony taste in the throat was still there.

The dreaded ‘Hum’, suddenly became much louder. How the poor devils with good hearing can cope with it, I don’t know.

I went on CorelDraw to do some graphic catching-up. Within a few seconds, the innards tightened, no gurgling, just a stabbing pain.

So, off to the Porcelain Throne, I hobbled. Nothing happened! I was sat sitting there, praying that Constipation Konrad would be kinder this time to me this time… but other than a little wind, that actually hurt when it escaped, the crammed-full innards contents refused to budge! Tsk!

I gave up and went to get the 2nd Health Checks done. Cor blimus! The SYS had gone down even further, to 112, now!?!?! DIA down to 64, and the PULSE 84.

The body temperature on the reliable Chinese (Hong Kong), made by, Shenzhen Relee Electronic & Technology Co. Ltd, contactless thermometer, was in the RED now! 37.7°c – 99.86°f! This has been up and down now, for weeks, since I caught this cold, or whatever it is. According to Mr Google, this morning I’ve got hypotension and hypertension at the same time?

I still don’t fancy a brew, so onto CorelDraw to do some graphic catching-up.

Many hours later, I’d managed to cobble-together about six graphics, two TFZ and four ‘Thoughts’. Now to get the templates started. I scanned the YourAream Emagazine for owt of interest. The Covid-19 latest figures. Mapperley and Gedling are introducing Covid Marshals on the streets, to check that people are wearing their facemasks when shopping!

On with the templating. A slow, slog, many slip-ups, silly errors made, and no wee-weeing at all! Failing at both ends in the evacuation stakes – No wonder, the innards are giving me some stick. The chances are as the pressure increased, I’ll likely explode of summat. Hahaha!

I replied to some emails… had a rare wee-wee, of the SSPV (Short-Sharp-Painful-Variety), no pre or post dribbling. But I noticed that the colour was that of the unhealthy number-four option on the NHS record card. ‘Dehydrated’.

Off I poddled to get the ablutions seen to. Started earlier today, so I can take my time and make sure the wall heater is on first and the room snugly warm – I don’t want the shivering to start again. I remember how damned cold it was in there yesterday, and the sweating warm started, and it toyed with me for the rest of the day, must avoid that, if I can. Got the heater on, and did the handwashing, all done, rinsed, wrung and hung above the sink, back to the wet-room. The Hum suddenly came much loader for some reason. So loud!

The ablutions were done, and some concerning, but not a lot, discoveries were made. The old heart op scars had become very vivid. Arthur Itis and particularly Cathy Cartilage knees were looking a bit tattered and battered?

I dropped both razors at the same time. No mean fete! And I was annoyed at myself and shot down a little too quickly to retrieve them. I went over and hit my cheek against the deadly unused sock-glide! A conclamation of inner voices burst forth… Idiot, Pillock, Pratt, and much worse curses flowed. Getting back up was a challenge and a half!

On all fours to the shower chair, and somehow or other I manipulated my onerously over-bellied body back up onto the now oh, so painful knees and legs. Got the job finished, between even more swearing and self-loathing comments uttered. By the time I’d failed again to pass anything on the Porcelain Throne (Somethings got to give soon?), I was a physical wreck. Hehehe!

I made an order for Iceland, due in the morning twixt 06>08:00hrs. I phone Deana, and Sister Jane phoned me. Can’t remember much of either call, sorry.

I spent hours and hours on Template making and graphics, proper industrious I was!

It took a lot of effort on the part of my poor old confused brain, and lots of mind-rubbish was desarcinated and deracinated along the way. Which eventually was too much, and the Template making had to stop, just too many thought-Storms were being prompted – Most of self-disgust and personal shame, past and present.

I got the made in Myanmar (Burmese), maroon zip-up jacket hand-washed, done, rinsed, freshened, and hung to dry above the kitchen sink.

I took this photograph of the Chestnut Walk car park from the kitchenette window. And felt the need to settle and try to unwind a little.

But, first, something to eat had to be arranged.

A canned chilli, with tinned potatoes, seemed an easy option, and it was, too.

After eating, I ate most of it, I planned to get the pots washed, sit quietly for an hour or so, and see how I felt. Which I did

Boy, oh, boy… I drifted off into the sweet land of nod in no time… waking up… ready for this? Seven hours later! The body must have been ready for this marathon?

TFZers in the Woods – Nibbling?

Sunday 14th February 2021

03:00hrs: I was still awake with cramps, evil, more persistent than ever, and had been driving me crazy, for five hours now. Hands, fingers and both lower legs!

As I gently eased my Goliath-like stomached body up onto the legs, the pain and unsteadiness made me plop back down into the recliner. Which really pleased Harold Haemorrhoids, I can tell yer! I waited patiently and started doing gentle leg exercises. I was actually a little nervous at walking, but the wee-wee was needed. So I grabbed Metal Micky, and gently slow-hobbled to the wet room, the bucket was full?

I went about six-feet or so, and the agony in the knees was chronic! Of course, a young full-blooded, healthy, dynamic person like me didn’t wince, swear, cringe, cry or give out noises that sounded a bit like a dying mousse! Took the wee-wee, it made me wonder how the bucket ever got filled last night, cause even with the after-dribbles, the whole effort wouldn’t have filled a coffee cup! I got the camera, to have a look at the state of the legs: They looked like they did last night, after Colin Cramp’s first half-hour attack. The muscles at the bottom of the leg, were all soft and gooey to touch, and the tops of the portion, seemed to have got fatter? There’s an apparent reason for this… but I don’t what it is.

It was clear to me that both of the old ulcer scars had been active on the surface, although once again, why, defeats me? While we’re on about my Not-Knowings, a lovely new bruise at the top of the leg? I’m sure I’d have remembered if I’d fallen over or walked into something? I’m not so sure now I’ve just said that… Hahaha!

I don’t know why I bothered, but I applied some Phorpain Gel where I could reach. I must have used half a tube last night, took extra Codeine, and later on, a Zapain (which was donated by a kind mystery resident, thank you). Germoloided poor Harold Haemorrhoids, and took the morning medications.

For a moment, the throat was parched, and when I coughed, I brought up a tremendous amount of phlegm.

At the back of my mind, I feared the bug was going to come back again. I wasn’t apprehensive, I laughed at the thought, and verbally challenged the flu bug to try again! Ahem!

I began the Pre-Dump Health Checks. At least the Boots Sphygmomanometer, had SYS down to 142. Dia 78, and thankfully, the pulse down to 87bpm.

The Chinese (Hong Kong) made by Shenzhen Relee Electronic & Technology Co. Ltd, contactless thermometer temperature, down to 36.8°c. Things might be improving, eh?

I made up some bags of waste and added them to those already in the walker-guide box. Washed the pots, and off to the Porcelain Throne. Apart from some ferocious sounding, almost audible rumbles and grumbles in the wet room, along with some near-lethal microscopic escapages of wind, nothing happened? Things felt rock solid, methinks that this DESB (Daily-Evacuation-Stakes-Battle) between Trotsky Terence and Constipation Konrad, was one-sided, favouring Konrad! I gave it a good few minutes, just in case, like. I’ve been fooled and caught out before! In fact, I’m ace at it!

As I washed my hands, I noticed that the two packets of PP’s I’d bought, both had ladies wearing them on the wrapping? A closure inspection found they were Unisex, but the Tena ones were XXL! I’ll try one of these when I get the ablutions done, dying to find out what they are like.

After all that hassle with Morrisons and Sainsbury’s who substituted the wrong size PPs – Now Amazon have sent the wrong size as well. Tsk!

I made a brew of Thompsons Punjana. Took the medications, and onto the computer to update yesterdays Inchcock Today. After an hour or so, the second summoning to the Porcelain Throne arrived, a little bubbling from within, told me one could be the real McCoy, off to the wet room.

I got settled down and got the crossword book handy, but it wasn’t needed. The rumbling inside felt like the old music played at the cinema, and things come to a crescendo – a few seconds later, the movement started, smooth as silk… a thunder of plop-plops, water hitting the rear-end, and it was all over! No pain at all! Well, I didn’t expect that! Nor, unfortunately, the copiousness of the flowing blood! Tsk! I’d just cleaned the bowl as well! As I looked down at the blood, it was all the same colour as poor old Herbert’s Haemorrhoids usually pass. That would be, I assume, blamed on my plopping back down on recliner as I first tried to get up. So, I wasn’t too concerned, I’ll get the ablutions done shortly and clean and Germoloid the little things.

I got the Post-Dump Healthier Checks done. The Sphygmomanometer had the SYS up to 163, DIA at 75, and the Pulse was 83bpm. This is not bad at all compared to what the last weeks readings have been.

The Chinese (Hong Kong) Shenzhen Relee Electronic & Technology Co. Ltd, contactless thermometer, made me nervous though.

Mind you, it not in the red proper, more like an orange or amber.

The temperature was back in the red again, at 37.7°c – 99.86°f. It’s been higher on three of the ‘Flu-Affected’ days this week.

I’ve looked at the HC log, the SYS is more worrying now…

If I’m not fretting, fearing or frightened of something, I’m just not happy! Hehehe!

Off to get the Ablutions sorted out. And what an unanticipatedly pleasant way to start this session! The look got an inspection while I was doing my teeth, I had to fetch the camera and see how they changed early morning? Fair enough the old ankle scars still look like they are about to get ready to erupt again, but they are not fooling me, they often do this, haven’t burst for well over a year now.

The shaving produced just two nicks. And Teeth and shaving combined, only five dropsies! On the other hand, the shower had I got a video of it, would have gone viral – at least ten dropsies! Two clouts on the grab bar, and decent headbutting of the power box! Followed up with a toe-stubbing against the shower chair. Ah, well! The medicationalisationing went fine! Too well, it was worrying!

I remembered to put one of the XXL PP’s on to see how they fitted. Just look at the size of them.

*At least if I get caught out in a snowstorm, I can use them for a tent! Hehehe!

*If I sneeze, I might jump out of them?

*They are comfortable enough, though, just a little tight under the armpits.

Har-Har! I’m back on form with the witticisms. I must be getting better.

Unlucky in shop substitutes, lucky in love. No, that’s not right…

Time to get my chef’s hat on, and prepare Josie’s cheesy potato nosh. A reet treat this week. The cheesy mash was p[probably the best I’ve ever made, mind you, it cost a bomb, it the butter, Leicester Cheese, strained Tuna Chunks, Surimi sticks, tomatoes roast crispy onions, pickled egg, demerara-sugared garden peas, Baby bell coins, Pink Gin and Tonic, cream strawberry, or is it a raspberry trifle. Ah, I’ve just put the photo on the blog – can you see a face in the potatoes, of a fish? I’ll make it a little larger.

Delivered it, I don’t want to spoil Josie and overdo it, she might expect a feast each Sunday, then. Hahaha! She seemed to like the look of it.

I made a start on removing the waste to the chute room. Through the lonely, abandoned, eerie 12th floor. Haha!

The top middle picture shows some light coming at the end of the lobby, through from the window that views the back of Woodthorpe Grange Park.

The windows cannot be got at to clean either, but the site of the frozen snow on one part of the field, and hardly anywhere else. A closer look, the area had been fenced off.

I didn’t go back to the flat, I went and got a lift down to Jenny’s apartment. Dropped of some nibbles for the three of them. That’s Jenny, Nora and Frank. I really do miss having a natter, chinwag, moan, gossip, call it what you will. Ahh!

Dropped the bag outside the folk’s door, and back to get a lift up to my floor. The notice was on the lift floor.

Had a bit of a wait to get an elevator back up, and tried to take a photo with my reflection against the lift doors.

I got back up to the flat in no time, and en route, the shivers came over me, and some phlegm came up. I do pray that the flu isn’t trying to come back. Or, whatever it was. Please!

Got the trolley in the corner in the hallway, and guess what? I found waste and recycling bags I’d missed loading – so I loaded them. Tsk!

The Amazon treats arrived, I intend to hand these out as thanks for the help I get. Jenny, Doris and Frank, the nurses and the ILCs. The review I read on these lemon wafers, indication aa certain deliciousness!

I spent the next five hours doing this blog, then decided to stop, cause I was done-in suddenly. I’ll make some sarnies for my nosh and a few tomatoes methinks. Which I did, and it went down a treat! Flavour rating was a decent, nae, highly satisfactory 8/10.

When I settled and got me feet up, almost instantly, and Colin Cramps kicked off, legs the worst, but the hands and fingers were put through the mill a bit. Thank heavens, it didn’t go on all night for the third time. But I’d been drinking a lot of spring water throughout the day, this may have eased things, but I don’t know.

TTFN.

Friday 12th February 2021

Finnish: Perjantai 12 Helmikuuta 2021

22:45hrs: Not going to get much done again on this diary. I woke from slumber, more than sleep. The painful dry, sore throat, tight chest, dizziness, loss of balance, shivering, and the inability to organise the littlest thing, (that’s a new one!) and the eyes were running, then the coughing started off.

I’d hoped the Doctor yesterday, would have suggested something for me to take to ease the symptoms, but no.

I got the B.P. taken, the Sys and Dia seemed alright-ish to me. The Pulse was again so very high, this time at 97bpm—the Chinese (Hong Kong) made by, Shenzhen Relee Electronic & Technology Co. Ltd, contactless thermometer, was up in the danger-Red section, at 38.1°c.  Oh, dearie me!

I forced myself to get the updating of yesterday’s minimal news diary done. I was confused and struggling to get things done. Concentration kaputt!

But pressed on, keeping amazingly calm about things?

Sent it off, emailed the link.

To the kitchen, with the intention to get some potatoes into the crock-pot for, later on,  might be up to eating something then. Then I saw the dollop of a stew I’d made yesterday and not eaten, I even tried stirring it to see if it looked eatable. It wasn’t!

I threw it away, took me ages to drain and double-bag it, so it didn’t leak in the chute.

Then I got the new potatoes in the slow-cooker and left then on a high setting. Later, I must remember to keep an eye on it and turn it down to low.

I had a turn, and I decided to sit down for a while. Well, I was feeling awful and considered pressing the wristlet alarm. I fell to sleep for about five hours! I must have needed it, my body was telling me?

I woke, and it was completely disoriented. I took me a while to reclaim my awareness and work out what had happened. Then it dawned on me about the potatoes in the crock-pot, Oh, heck!

Off into the kitchen to check on the spuds… well it’s hard to believe I know, a man of my calibre as well, but I’d not turned the power on at the socket! So, I did!

As I decided I’d better get the ablutions sorted, along came the Porcelain Throne summoning. That was a messy job, painless mind, so no complaints from me. Trotsky Terence was making a determined comeback! And what a mess to clean up afterwards, at least I handily placed. Hehehe!

I opted for a stand-up wash, else I would be late getting to see Deana, to get her to call 119 for me. The teeth cleaning had three dropsies, a neuropathic arm wobble, and a cut gum. The shaving had four dropsies, all razors, and only one tiny cut!

Medicationalisationing went well, and the dressing only one mini-tumble, no harm. I got the trolley-guide and made my way out and down the lift.

Out through the caretakers’ passage, onto Chestnut Walk… Gawd, it was cold out there… Brrr!

♫ I simply must go (But, baby, it’s cold outside)
The answer is no (But, baby, it’s cold outside)
Your welcome has been (How lucky that you dropped in)
So nice and warm (Look out the window at the storm)
My sister will be suspicious (Gosh your lips look delicious)
My brother will be there at the door (Waves upon the tropical shore)
My maiden aunt’s mind is vicious (Gosh your lips are delicious)
But maybe just a cigarette more (Never such a blizzard before)
I’ve gotta get home (But, baby, you’d freeze out there)
Say, lend me a coat (It’s up to your knees out there)
You’ve really been grand (I thrill when you touch my hand)
But don’t you see? (How can you do this thing to me?)
There’s bound to be talk tomorrow (Think of my lifelong sorrow)
At least there will be plenty implied (If you got pneumonia and died)

Sorry about that, I went off track a little there.

Got into Winwood Court, and knocked on the  Wardens, and ILCs (Independent Living Coordinators) Interrogation and body-search room Only Generaloberstess, Ice-skating champion, Warden Julie in, she was on the phone, so no bother, I waited until she’d finished. Then explained the situation, and she said she’d call the 119 number and arrange a testing kit to sent to me. I thanked her and back to Woodthorpe Court.

The ground floor lobby had been creeded, a message on the board was about the laundry room being closed for flooring in there. There was not a soul to be seen. And, I got the lift quickly enough. Both were on the fifteenth floor together when I got to the lobby, never seen that before. Not that it matters, I don’t know I mentioned it now. Haha!

I got back to the flat, and I found a bag on the floor outside the door. Dang, dang, dang… dang! I opened the bag, to find a pair of comfy looking slipper boots! They could have only come from Jenny, I was sure of it.

I got the trolley stored in the corner, and I began to sweat profusely. Bit of dizzy came over me, and the telephone rang at the same time. It was Jenny, I’m afraid that what we spoke about is lost in the ether, I really am not feeling too good again. I hope I thanked her for the slippers. ♥

As much as I love it when someone calls me, at this time, in my state, I couldn’t really grasp what was what. Then Brother in Law Pete rang me. I have the same problem in remembering what we spoke about, which worries me, but seem to have the idea that it was a longish call, and I got more into it as time passed, and am confident that we had a laugh. I don’t like it when this almost instant forgetfulness comes over me. At times today, I’ve had moments of lucidity, short ones, fair enough, then I’d go back into the land of Confusion Conrad. My EQ spoke, telling me I can do nothing to help, go with the flow???

I checked the potatoes, and that I had really switched the power on, all okay! I had another sweating session, it was pouring out? Seconds later, it felt wet because it had stopped and cooled down. I wiped the head, and no signs of any pyretic dampness now? I wish they would send someone to look at me, even if only to convince me that I am or am not going bonkers!

I made my first mug of tea for ages, and I drank it okay, then maybe the taste buds are coming back online? I carried on with the blogging. During which, a message came up. Telling me that the Thompsons Punjana tea had been delivered. News to me? And even I can hear when both bells are pressed at the same time.

I went to check outside the door. Ah, there was the package of teabags! Well, that was right-good timing, I down to the last 50 or so Pumjana, so this perked me up a smidge! I got the bags from the box, into dry storage. I was so pleased that Amazon is still doing these bags because they are my second favourites of them all. Glengettie being the tip dogs.

There I was typing away again. I decided to get the second set of Health Checks done. And make a brew of course, but the tastebuds failed also! The SYS was up a smidge on the earlier results, at 150. DIA 69, Pulse at 96bpm.

The temperature reading made me cringe somewhat. 39.3°c – 102.74f!!! Oh, heck! Still, it didn’t matter to the Doctor when I told her yesterdays readings. But it worries me! The high Pulse rate and Temperature are far above the average expected. You can see by this I clipped from the XL file, if it keeps on going up, I’ll most likely internally combust! Hehehe! Does no one care? Daft question, I’ll take that back!

I was deep in concentration doing the blog, and the worst-ever visit from Dizzy Dennis came over me. I was sat down but still held onto the Hopewells E-plan, 1966 cabinet which the computer is on. I decided to press the panic alarm, I could not get out of the chair, I almost toppled over when I tried it…

Disaster, I’d left the alarm bracelet in the wet room. I gave it about ten minutes until the haziness lifted a little. Grabbed Metal Micky, and took the slowest ever limp to the wet room, carefully and nervously. When I got there and put the wristlet on, I was instantly nauseated, luckily it couldn’t have happened at a better time nor place, with me standing in front of the Throne at the time. I was sick into the bowl, not a lot, but it left a metallic taste in the mouth. I stayed in the wet room for a few minutes, just in case a second bilious bout was due. I began to feel much more comfortable in myself, the dizziness gone, but not the metallic taste in the mouth.

I’m getting miffed-off about whatever unembraced ailment that’s attached itself to me. Cold or flu mayhaps, it’s having a ball, with my body and mind as its toys! I bet Shakespeare would have liked to use this description? Hehehe!

I got back on the computer again, and noticed that the veins on the back of the right hand, were far less prominent than usual? There were far fewer showing through and lost the blue colouring that is normal for me. Hey-ho!

I got the medications belatedly taken with a drink of the spring water. It dawned on me that since this flu bug, I’ve missed no end of medications without realising? Might be a cause of the veins hiding? Then again, maybe not.

I have been thrown out of sync with the sleep being so varied these last few days. And when I glanced at the clock, was amazed to see it was an hour beyond my usual head-down time! Still, I’m feeling a little better since the spewing-up, I pressed on, and read and replied to some comments on WP.

In came another phone call, it was a lady from and about the Covid-19 vaccination. I answered her questions, and when I told her my condition, she said ‘We cannot do you until you are feeling well’. ( Feeling well, me? Come on!) So, I have to go through the laborious time consuming, booking routine again! This is sad, but can’t be helped. I mentioned that today’s body temperature was 39.3°c – 102.10°f, I was after confirmation that it was too high, really. But she just carried on talking as if I hadn’t spoken. So, I slipped in and mentioned that the Pulse was 39.3 bpm. Ignored again. But I understand, though, they must be terribly busy, so took no offence. Oh, dear, int life a bugger sometimes!

I tried again to get a delivery slot for the Amazon-Morrison order for next Saturday. But got it taken as being for tomorrow! Ah, well! The only delivery slot left as well. Luckily there is no frozen stuff on it, and only a couple of fresh things than need going in the already filled to capacity, fridge.

Took the evening medications. Went on WordPress reader, some fantastic photos and blogs on there today. Made a brew, and even with it being Thompsons Punjana, the taste bud would not allow me to drink it. Back to blogging.

A couple of hours later, and I went to make a brew of Glengettie tea. The taste-buds were not working, and it tasted foul. I took a couple of photos, ahead and to the left and right, from the new kitchens thick-framed, view-blocking, impossible to get at to clean, designed by some old-people hating draughtsman, for the Nottingham City Homes Management, who I find it hard to believe they would have fitted these types in an aged people complex (there that’ll get me thrown out, Hehe!)

Still, I’m happier here than at the old house by a mile. Even when in the lockdown, and not seeing anyone for weeks. Har-har! No that’s not night. I’ve seen the odd nurse, the fantastic wardens, delivery people and had a chat with the female ghost who haunts the flat. She didn’t reply, though.

As I stood up, Arthur Itis’s knees and especially Cathys Cartilage made me stop in my tracks. Yee-Gawd the agony! I got the sensation from my EQ that this may be a good sign. If whatever it is that has made into a gibbering, being sick, feverish, sore-throated, coughing wreck, just might be lessening its grip on me? Of course, it might be wrong, but in reality, is rarely so.

I dropped the pants and had a nosey at the legs. Not a pretty sight, Hehe! Something strange and supernatural was going on because the bullet hole from when I first got shot wound was clearly visible? Impossible innit? Cathy’s Cartilage had hardened a lot? The regular spider, trunk and reticular varicose ones, seem to have almost disappeared. Not to mention the hair on the knees that have also quixotically gone AWOL?

There’ll be reason and or cause for this. But it beats me what it is. The best guess is, it’s the effects from the obstreperous mysteries of Woodthorpe Court; the phantoms, kelpies, spectres, poltergeist, spirits, manifestations, zombies, demons, cacodemons, rakshasas, hellions, aliens, extraterrestrials, hobgoblins, apparitions, elfins, pishogues, apparitions, gremlins, ghosts, and goo-like ectoplasms! Thus, turning me into the querulous, jibbering wreck, I am today. Hehe!

Further proof that the flu bug was easing off was when I glanced at the clock, expecting to see something like 14:00 to 1500 hrs, it was 19:30hrs! This bug has done a good job on me, I’m disoriented, confused and fed-up. I pray it is not playing a cunning ploy with me and returns full-blast again. But I do feel a bit better, at this precise moment. The shivering, sweating and eye aches have reduced greatly. God willing! Fingers crossed. And some else, the wee-wees have dried up, I had many less than usual today? I know I’ve not been drinking so much tea because the taste-buds failure makes the tea taste horrible, but I’ve more than made up this in the fluid intake with the spring water. Confusion Conrad is visiting again. Haha!

Did you notice that? My sarcasm and humour are returning! I must be getting better!

I’m suddenly feeling so weary. No idea if I’ll be able to sleep, so I kept on blogging on this post, see how it goes. It’s 22:00hrs now.

I’ll have to get my head down, I’ve not… Fungleboggles! The potatoes. I quickly got up, but no serious loss of balance and off to check the crockpot. Which was looking fine, such are values of using a slow-cooker,

But, in my haste to get to the kitchenette, I clouted my shoulder against the door frame, knocking down some hand-washed clothes. This kicked SSS Shuddering Shoulder-Shirley off. And bending to pick up and sort the gear, BPB Back-Pain Brenda joined the list of activated ailments. I felt like things were coming back to near normal now! Hahaha!

I took an extra pain-killer with the much, oh, so very late evening medications.

I turned off the computer, and I got a nosh of sorts made-up, and I thought this time, I might enjoy eating! I savoured the overcooked potatoes though, I’d added a drop of Soy sauce, and, could taste it! Methinks the linguae are slowly getting back to working again. Grrreat! I just left the tray on the second-hand, imitation leather, splitting various places, and with a broken wheel, chair. And put the TV on, that’s bound to send me into the land of nod. I thought.

But no! Unaware of what I was watching, I waited for the commercial break to come on. Then, Colin Cramps started in the left hand, and sleep was out of the question. I got the Phorpain from the Ottoman, and I rubbed it in well, but it didn’t seem to ease things at all. Then I tried, an extra Codeine 60g, again without getting any relief. I was getting more and more frustrated. A couple of hours later, Colin Cramps eased off in his attack on the left hand. Minutes later, it was the lower left leg that caught his venom! Phorpaining, the leg, was so painful getting to it, that BPB kicked off. I was in near agony for another hour or so, until Colin got fed-up, and departed.

Somewhere around 03:00hrs, it was, I think, I got off to sleep. And apart from one taking a wee-wee, slept for 4 hours, waking at 07:00hrs, feeling much better!

Irritating Inchie Friday 5th February 2021

And no one better deserving!

Friday 5th February 2021

Italiano: Venerdì 5 Febbraio 2021

02:35hrs:  I woke wearily, unsaddled my over-bellied body from the recliner, caught my balance without, any bother or Whoopsies, and had a wee-wee. Utilising the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee Bucket), it sank in how late I’d risen back to semi-life. And realised that I’d had… Six-Hours of sleep! Yee-Haa! The wee-wee was of the SP (Short-Powerfull) type, followed by a lot of PMAD (Post-Micturition-After Dribbling).

The mind started wandering from one thing to another, as I emptied and cleaned the bucket. But one thing was overriding all others – I wanted, no, needed a mug of tea, so off to the kitchenette and brewed a mug of Glengettie. This thirst, but only for tea, remained with me all morning, by Gawd, I drank so many mugs, it worried me?

Summonings from the innards demanded I rush off to the wet room and pay the Porcelain Throne a visit! So, I did!

A soon as I’d got my bum down on the plastic, I knew this was going to be a session dominated by Constipation Konrad! Things were not going to move easily this time. I tried applying a little pressure, but the pain was overbearing, so I grabbed the crossword book and failed to get any more solutions. Things began, the motion was painful, and oh, so slow with it! Not too messy under the circumstances.

But the cistern was not taking away the contents deposited. Hand refilling several times, and eventually the product was cleared down to the sewers. Belatedly, my EQ warned me of stressful times coming. He was out of sync with the happenings this morning, not like him at all?

I cleaned up and got on with the hemerine Health Checking duties. In doing the body temperature first, making a change with the made in Hong Kong, by the Chinese Harpin Xian Di company, and reliable contactless thermometer. Result: 36.9°c. Fair enough!

Blood Pressure was taken next, on the Boots Sphygmomanometer, manufactured by, ZDEAC (Zhongshan Daguan Electrical Appliance Company Ltd) in Guangdong, China. By gum, the SYS had shot up to 176 from yesterdays low of 130!

I had a quick look at the Covid-19 leaflet that arrived yesterday.

Not than I’m terrible thick (Maybe a little, mind you) but I just couldn’t seem to grasp all of the details.

I went to make another brew, Glengettie Gold this time. (Am I becoming a tea addict? But I prefer t call it tea lover or tea connoisseur. Hehe!)

Then I got diverted from the plan and wobbled off sorting out the handwashing I did yesterday. I checked the clothes I’d hung above the kitchen wall window near the window. That was the maroon, made in Myanmar (Burmese), zip-up jacket, the Pakistani made Cedar Wood Hollow-out Round Neck Acrylic Sweater, and the made in India, Tru-Size pyjama bottoms-lounge pants. Moving them as they were almost dry now.

Checked the made in Turkey, heavy fluffy quilt hanging in the wet room, and moved it onto the stand-up clothes airer in the hallway.

Finally, at last, I got on the computer to download some photographs for use.

Then, off to make another brew, of Thompsons Punjana.

As I was doing so, I noticed the marks coming on the wrist again, that resemble the Clopidogrel allergy ones. I felt the feet giving off the same warm, itchy sensations too? Fortuitously, I had a look in the medications drawers and found a tube of Germolene, and an old Boot’s Derma Care, which I expected to be long out-of-date, but it had six-months use-by life left! No point in my using them before the ablutions and showering, so I took them into the wet room to utilise later on. A touch of good luck there! Smug-Mode-Adopted! Much changes of fortune today, already!

I took a snap of Chestnut Drive below. The car park bit. I caught a reflection of my mush in the mirror, the presence of blood in the anterior chamber of the eye (hyphema). It didn’t seem any worse than yesterday.

Then I started farting around checking the flavourings in the cupboard again. What’s a matter with me? I might use some later. I’ve decided to have a tin of CCC, add peas and the potatoes currently slow-boiling in the crock-pot.

After a while, I decided to try putting in, smoked paprika, and onion salt. I’ll try to get some guidance for next week when the minced beef arrives, and I try to make Chilli-Con-Carne from scratch.

I made another brew of tea, Glengettie, and cracked on with updating the Thursday blog. The ailments had died down, and I soon had it completed. Smug-Mode-Engaged! Posted off the dairy. Pinterested photos then went on Facebook catching-up. Read and replied to WP comments, both of them. (Hehe!) Emailed the link, and went to make yet another brew, Co-op 99 this time.

Had a wee-wee, pleased with the colouration of it, according to the colour guide, it was a healthy wee, at number three! Hehe! Which reminds me, the Gastroenterologist-Urologist Doctor has not called me this last month – why would she, there are plenty of other more suitable names t ca;; me, Hehehehe!

I made another mug of tea, Glengettie!

Another load of paperwork came in! Grumph! More brain testing to be done, and to think I was nervous about being bored in my old age – Hah!

Off to get the ablutions done. The blotch on the left hand is still there, but a lot less noticeable. This is where I took off the Warfarin and Loss of Hearing medical wristbands, and have not seen them since! I ordered some Diabetes, Hearing loss and Warfarin wrist band alerts from Amazon, oh, and some Dettol. One coming Monday, two on 15th, and one between a week on Saturday to Tuesday.

The legs were looking good as I stripped off. I say good, I mean a lot better than they usually do. The welt, raised veins, and blotches seem to have disappeared altogether? Of course, this might seem this way due to my bad cameramanship, or the steam from the wall heater being just switched on? I’ll take another afterwards. I noted that the water retention was no longer a problem? What’s going on here?

The teeth cleaning went painlessly? Another mystery? Shaving made me take another shot of the… this has not been Christened yet has it? Erm… Red-Eye Robert? Worra yer fink? Haha!

I’d sooner not mention how the showering went if yer doesn’t mind. The bruises will soon go, I’m sure. The first real attack from Dizzy Dennis for over a week, caught me off-guard, Tsk!

Drying off, I also noticed, that the new designer legs ankle ulcer was all but gone?

I’m baffled by all this improvement healthwise in things, it’s not natural for me! I’m a bit nervous, not used to it!

I got dressed (well, it seemed a good idea, Haha!) and got the kitchen cleaned and mopped. Back-Pain-Brenda, who I started off when I fell in the shower, was not happy with me at all. Now that, I can understand and live with!)

I got some more updating done to this blog.

I got the meal prepped a bit more. Chilli in the saucepan with the peas, the spuds will soon be ready too. The weariness is dawning, nosh time!

A fair nosh. 7/10 flavour rating.

Hawaiian: Pōʻahā 4 Pepeluali 2021

Good Morning!

01:05hrs. I seemed to wake up more slowly this morning, it took a while to engage the brain. A few moments of vagueness, and utter disinterest in anything, soon passed, and I realised that I’d just had over five hours in the arms of sweet Morpheus, which surprised me a little after the four previous nights of broken, disturbed rest. Maybe things are going to go better today for me? What a stupid thought! My brain was near-fully operational, and the Thought Storms began. Thankfully, the need of a wee-wee broke the trend.

I rose calmly, and carefully from the c1968 recliner, and caught my balance easily enough. Hobbled over to the ‘unused’, overnight nocturnal wee-wee bucket, and boy what a shocker it was! Back to those of last year; Stinging like hell, bursts out for a few seconds, then went into a dribble mode with even worse pain! Silver Lining Search: There was no pre or after dribbling!

Started doing the Health-Checks, with the Blood Pressure on the Boots Sphygmomanometer, manufactured by, ZDEAC (Zhongshan Daguan Electrical Appliance Company Ltd) in Guangdong, China. Great! The SYS was down to 130, it’s never been so low! Dia 83, pulse 79.
The Chinese (Hong Kong) made by Shenzhen Relee Electronic & Technology Co. Ltd, contactless thermometer, gave exactly the same reading as it did yesterday, of 36.7°c. That was pleasing, cause I reckon that is a fair level.

I took the morning tablets. Please note that I did not miss last nights doses! Hehe! About time too!

I turned the computer on to do some graphics, then had a look at the emails. One indicated that L9 bus service is to be cancelled in apart of the Nottingham City Councils efforts to claw back £millions, due to Covid-19. There was an email address to offer our views on the subject, and I sent one. But it will inevitably have to go. Shame, but it can’t be helped.

I went to make a brew of Glengettie, and I got side-tracked (I do tat an awful lot, lately). Into sorting the seasoning cupboard out. Glad to say I’ve now got some various seasonings in hand. Mild chilli, basil, paprika, chives, various types of salts, peri-peri, etc. Soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, Squid sauce, normal and extra-strong matured Marmite (Hehehehe, lovely!), black pepper, too. Shame that Iceland and Sainsbury’s didn’t send me any fresh onions, leeks or shallots. Tsk!

I put the remainder of the mini-potatoes in the crock-pot, and added some chives and sea salt, leaving them to hopefully, marinate. Note how SSS (Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley) encouraged me to tip in half the pot of chives? Grumph!

Titivating the fridge, and I came across this whatever it was in the photo on the right? It was snuggled in the door tray, hidden under some pots of milk. I wonder what it was? You have to laugh! Well, I did anyway, during which, I let pains in both eyes, not bad at all, but it worried me. So much that I got the camera to investigate.

It was the subconjunctival haemorrhage in the eye. But it didn’t look so bad as the last time.  I wondered why it was in the right eye this time, but the pictures looked the same as previously? It dawned on me after a while, the Nikon camera, now deceased; I’m afraid, had something called an unmirrored lens… I might be getting myself all confused here? Anyway, I sneezed a few times again, and now both eyes are itching like mad? My typical bad timing, with the vaccination due tomorrow, I don’t want to get in a pickle appointment-wise. Then, of course, Saturday and Sunday, so no help available. The left eye is getting filled with mucus, and making seeing properly difficult as the day goes on.

I went for another painful pee, of the same mode as the first one. And got started on updating the blog from yesterday. I fear many mistakes have been made with the eyes problems. I fear that if Saccedes Sandra comes on as well, I’ll just have to summon help.

It was uncomfortable and Oh, so slow job doing the updating. Got it finished eventually. Posted it off, Emailed the link, Pinterested a photo or two, then went on Facebook catch-up. Hard work seeing things correctly. Went on the WordPress Reader section. Next, I replied to the WP comments.

Then, I did some template adjusting, changed the font, I wanted to widen the main text body, but couldn’t. This might am not allowed on this template, or, as is more likely, I couldn’t remember how to do it. Tsk!

I put the computer into sleep-mode and got some handwashing done. The made in Myanmar (Burmese), maroon zip-up jacket, and the new made in India, Tru-Size pyjama bottoms-lounge pants, are not true-to-size very warm, but comfortable enough with all the heating on full.

Off to get the ablutions tended to. I had a nosey at the eye again, it looks a tad worse than yesterday, and the annoying itching continues. As for the ablutions, well, hardly any problems at all. It was as if I was in a dream! Total all the way through, there were only about six dropsies, nowt knocked over – Grrreat!

Back to the computer, and I saw the thick quilt that I was going to wash earlier. It was where I left it, folded on the clothes airer, so I wouldn’t forget it – but I did! So I set to washing it in the sink, and it was a bit of a job, with it being thicker. I then hung on the shower track in the wet room to dry.

I made a start on the waste bag assembling. And found four letters had been posted, I went off to investigate, one from the NHS – DVT Deep-Vein-Thrombosis Warfarin clinic with the results of the last blood test, the INR was up to 3.4, which is almost spot-on, at last something went right! Yee-Haa!

The next one, was from the City of Nottingham City Police, about the Pegasus listing I presume, I’ve not opened it yet. I must ask Deana if she can help me that one, it needs a lot of living details filling in about Winwood Heights.

Another from the NHS, telling to book an appointment for the Covid-19 Vaccine – this is the third one I’ve had, and the appointments were made last Wednesday, I think it was. Another, telling me the same thing, including a leaflet of what to expect and do at the appointment.

Sister Jane rang, I was in the middle of sorting out the waste bags, and she said she’d ring back. Which she did! I got the job cleared up, and she rang back with impeccable timing, as is her way. Haha! We had a good chinwag, Pete chipping in. He’s doing so well with his Big C – Super! We even managed a few laughs and a spot of reminiscing, too!

I got the waste bags on the walker and limped along through flat looby, to the end of the lift lobby, and into the chute room – not an uneventful little poddle as it turned out…

As I fumbled a little to get in without scratching the new paintwork with the trolley-guide wheels, the blasted git of a bad timer, SSS gave me a bashing at the worst possible moment! Just as I opened the cover and reached down to pick the bag up, SSS made me clout the back of my elbow joint on the cast iron metal!

I’m writing this a couple of hours later than when it happened, and the elbow still hurts! Grigglesbogworthy!

Of course, it didn’t bother me really.

I went down ion the lift to take the recycling stuff to the bin. The flooring chaps were working in the lobby, and the main front doors were out of bounds, so I went through the caretaker’s access room, and out to the big bin.

Back up, had a mug of Thompsons Punjana tea, rubbed some Phorpain Gel on the bashed up elbow, and top, the midday medications, olive oiled the lugholes nibbled some Pretzel pieces, the Honey, Mustard and Onion flavoured ones. Gawd they’re good!

I then investigated the chances of getting a Sainsbury order done for next Monday or Tuesday. I see what’s what and available, back in a bit folks…

Few options on slots I’m afraid, I had no choice than to have a late one – Fangnations! Wednesday 10th February 2021 – 18:30>19:30hrs. Still, I can look forward to getting some of the ordered minced beef to make the Chill-Con-Carne with, hopefully, some leeks, parsnips, onions and carrots to go with it this time. I’ve blocked substitutes on the veg, else I might have ended up their Sainsbury’s famous Super-Substitutes and got things like; a cheese knife, pickled walnut and/or some postage stamps.

The weariness is coming on. I put the delivery on the Google Calendar. Added some diced onions on the Iceland order for Saturday.

I got an email telling me that the damned charges for the mobile are going up again! That was nice… Grumphs!

A year or so ago, I called in the shop in Victoria Centre to cancel the contract… and the smooth, villainous, young Arthur Daily type assistant manager, said they could put me on a contract with free calls and texts, for a sim, at £15 a month. Naturally, I fell for the con. It’s gone up three times since, and a limit on free phone calls has come into play. Well, I don’t have Network Envy!

Going to get some nosh sorted, I’m fading fast here. Haha!

I took this snap from the kitchenette window, I’ve forgotten why, but there was a reason. (Tsk!)

Then I set to serving the meal up on the tray. And a decent one it was. The turkey slices were supposed to be Chilli-flavoured, some folks would have been disappointed, but the mild taste suited me down to the ground… Which is where some of the meat ended up when SSS gave me a rattling good shaking as I was getting it out of the packet! Cringleblastit! A worthy flavour-rating of 7.5/10, though. The sourdough bread had kept well, and as delicious with the Lurpac loaded on the slices! I noticed the bag’s writing had changed, and now states ‘Slow-fermented Starter-Dough’, what does that mean? I’ll get time eventually to ask Mr Google.

I washed the pots, and took the evening medications (that’s two nights remembering to take them on the trot, now! Hehe!).

Settled to watch two episodes of ‘Tales of the Unexpected’, on Freeview channel 11. Wonderfully, I flaked-out at the first set of adverts and was in the hands of Sweet Morpheus… Ahhh!

Insecure Inchies Diary – Tuesday 2nd February 2021

TFZer Cooking, and another looking?

Tuesday 2nd February 2021

Croatian: Utorak, 2 Veljače 2021

(2.2.21) 02:34hrs: I forced open my eyes and waited for the brain to catch me up. I soon realised that I’d just had a whopping great sleep of over five-hours duration! Grrreat! But why did I feel so tired still? There were no demands for any immediate wee-weeing needs. (Another surprise for me!)

I stayed there, on the £300, second-hand c1968, recliner, and did a bit of enforced bodily wriggling, to access the state of the ailments.

No signs of pain or even discomfort, from Ann Gyna. Reflux Roger, Arthur Itis, SSS (Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley), or hassles, were all absent! Toothache Thomas and BPB (Back-Pain-Brenda) were the tiniest bit uncomfortable, but well-bearable to live with! Only Cartilage Cathy, of the Pain-Giving selection of ailments, was hurtful!  An extraordinary and delightsome state of medical affairs to wake up to! But I held back from going into a ‘Smug-Mode’, all the same.

For as I made my first moves to free myself from the battered and tatty futon, I realised that Nicoemus’s neurotransmitters failing, Saccades was blurring the vision, and Dizzy Dennis were both active! Not good, but far much better than the average upping and at ’em times, pain-wise.

By the time I’d fought my body out of the recliner and caught my balance. A wee-wee was needed. To the overnight bucket, and got a hell of a shock, as an FPB (Forceful-Painful-Blasting) marathon of a wee-wee flowed out, as if from a hose-pipe! Gorblimey! A few specs of blood floaters too, probably from the Fungal Lesion, I’ll check on it later. Still, it woke me up fully, Hehe!

I washed me and the bucket, disinfected and got on with the Health Checks.

Yet another surprise. The SYS reading was down even further this morning, to 140, the lowest for years!

The made in Hong Kong, by the Chinese Harpin Xian Di company, and reliable contactless thermometer result as down a smidgeon on yesterdays reading, at 36.9°c,  (98.42°f). A good count, methinks? It’s ion the green anyway.

I made a mess of photographing the feet as I got dressed. I’ve no idea what I did wrong? But it came out pretty horrible!

Then I took the medications from last night, that again I’ve forgotten to take. Humph!

I made a brew of Glengettie tea, put the milk in, and had to nip to the Porcelain Throne in some haste.

No doubt in my mind from the innards rumbling, and that uncertain feeling in the stomach, this was going to be a session, that was dominated my Trotsky Terence again! Boy, was I right!

Again, like the last three visits, no soon had I plumped my bum on the plastic raised seat, the evacuations started and flowed slowly, but painlessly for once, on and on it went. Where is it coming from, I didn’t have a meal last night? Masses of it! Messy, stinky, mushy, all in long thin torpedo-shapes, that gelled together as I looked at it!

I swear it began steaming!

What a picklement, the flushes were not clearing much away down the hole, despite things looking like they were turning almost liquid each time the handle was pressed, and that was many times! I don’t think I’ve ever had to flush and refill the tank so often? Took me ages free things up. But eventually, it disappeared! Phew!

The towel that I had put on the sock-glide to air-off was left where it was. I felt a comfort of sorts, in not having to look at the vindictive, injury-producing, hateful damned thing! Hahaha!

Off to get the ablutions tackled. The teeth cleaning produced only two dropsies! The shaving was a good session, only two dropsies, and three minuscule nicks. The showering was a bit of a lark, eleven dropsies, two bags against hard objects, and a few worries over loses of balance – however, I got through it without any severe injuries, all the same. It took me well over an hour this time.

The wee-wees were getting a little more frequent for some unknown. Back on the computer, I got sidetracked when I found a site with some good usable old English words. Made a brew, the bitterly cold fine rain was falling.

I had a bash at cleaning the reading glasses, but I had to be careful with Nicodemus and SSS starting to play up. It took me ages to find where I’d left the wristwatch.

After a lengthy and in-depth ‘driving-me-bonkers’ search…

I found it right in front of me, on the 1963-designed and made Hopewell’s G-plan cabinet. I bought it from the charity shop in Sherwood when I moved into the flat. I wish I’d known it was going to fall to pieces so soon. Tsk!

I got the hearing aids decoked and out in. And returned to the computer, and at a whim, I started to create a little humorous rhyme with graphics, about the lockdown.

I got as far as making the header for the funny ode post, and the door chimes burst forth. It was the district nurse, bless her cotton socks! I hobble unsteadily to the door and welcomed her in. Such a lovely lady ♥. She set to getting things done, while I waffled on, going through the usual stuff and checks.

BP, Diabetes, Peripheral Neuropathy. Temperatures, DVT. Urine bladder and bowels, Warfarin level, etc. The Fungal Lesion was explained in full, I only just stopped her having a look at it – that would have been mega-embarrassing for me. Hehehe! We discussed the PPs and the problems I’d been having.

Not too happy with the BP, when she looked at the readings log. Took a photo of it to take with her to the clinic, or whatever. Also, she took the notes of the wee-weeing colour etc. and the heavy-duty Throne activities with her. I always feel cared for after she’s been to see me. ♥

She checked the two Covid-19 vaccination papers details. I thanked her, and feeling so much better for her calling, off she shot to her next old biddy or middy. Ah, so sad to see her go! Sob!

Back to the Lockdown Advice, funny post creating. The odes took me a lot longer than anticipated, and it was getting late now, and the weariness was coming on, as it usually does at this time. So, I pressed on to get the blog finished of and posted it off to WordPress.

In case you wish to have a smile, here is the link: Inchies Lockdown Escape Advice.

As I was posting off, at long last, the graphic and ode funny (I hope) to WordPress, what a clatter of noise from above. I hope whoever is living where it came from are alright.

I found the latest Covid-19 figures locally.

They show new cases being done on the previous full week as being down 14.9%.

I’d forgot to put the photographs of the icy weather this morning on the blog, better late than never I suppose, so here they the be.

Bottom field, with the human footsteps imprinted on the shortcuts that had been taken.

The kitchenette window, as I opened it to take the pictures, wit the droplets showing as the dripped all over my bulging but wobbly belly.

The wet roads and the mist and drizzle gave an eerie aspect to this shot to Sherwood’s left view. The view reminded me of something, but what? I can’t remember.

I was getting another brew (Oh, the wee-wees have died down by the way!), and the landline burst forth, but I could not get to it in time. Back to the kitchen, and the mobile burst forth. It was Jenny, and we had a friendly little gossip, that was good of her to call me. I enjoyed that, thanks, Jenny. ♥

I made sure I had some bread, well baps, unfrozen ready to have ham rolls and tomatoes for nosh later on!

The landline rang and flashed one more. It was the Sherrington Park Medical Practice receptionist, the one with a good clear voice. Amazing, after finding out that was had booked and have to travel all that way to have the Covid-19 vaccinations, I find out I could have had it done at home!!!!!!

Funny that is, just the day after Deana made the appointments, I get the chance, which I can no longer accept, of having the injections done at home arranged by the Doctor! Then it changed to “We were just making sure your covered, being ‘a-high-risker’ That was that, I felt the opposite of what I did after seeing the nurse, and felt a little like I’d been fobbed off in some way. But I soon came round after the call. It’s not going to be easy, and it might be expensive if I have to get a taxi. But, weather permitting, at least if you have to get two buses, either way, I can manage it (he says hopefully). Haha!

I got the nosh, such as it was, prepared and on the plate and tray. So wearified now! No cooking involved, all cold stuff, but I did enjoy it, as I settled and watched a Tales of the unexpected episode, well, tow pf them, but I nodded off when the advertisements came on in the second one, waking up as the music started as it finished.

Zzzz!

Aspergillosis Inchies Diary – Sunday 31 January 2021

TFZer Lillie, and her Butler having a shoe clearout?

Sunday 31 January 2021

Scots Gaelic: Didòmhnaich 31 Faoilleach 2021

I woke several times, and I thought I’d start keeping a record of future ones on the notepad.

22:50hrs: Woke wearily, passed wind, and fell back to sleep.

23:55hrs: Woke, feeling tired. Nodded off again.

00:10hrs: Woke, thought about giving up. Passed-wind. Fell asleep.

01:30hrs: Woke, coughed, and drifted off again.

01:45hrs: Woke, Anne Gyna bother, back to kip again.

02:30hrs: Woke, Anne Gyna bad, more wind passed, and the need of a wee-wee, finally forced me into semi-activity. I rose, hauling my stupendously wobbly-bellied body up onto the feet from the Grotty, £300, second-hand, c1968, unsteady, not-working, incommodious, excruciatingly beige-coloured, haemorrhoid-testing recliner, and caught my balance. Anne Gyna was as painful as she’s been for months. I waddled over to the overnight wee-wee bucket and had a wee-wee of the SP (Short-Powerfull) type. No pre or after-dribbling.

I then took the evening medications I’d missed, last night. Putting in a strictly as needed only (two a day), “Advise Your Doctor”, Nitroglycerin sublingual tablet, letting it dissolve fully. Next, an extra pain-killer. Anne Gyna was a right pain this morning! I must remember to take the morning doses later.

With it being so long since taking these, I double-checked the instructions: A; Sit down – B: Place tablet under tongue. – C: Wait for Five-minutes. D: Do not swallow the tablet. E: If not better, repeat A to C. – F: No improvement? Call 999. I did it right then, now carry on and see how things go.

I was feeling proper shackered, but not low or miserable with it, just drained. Sweet Morpheus has not been kind to me these last few nights. And with Anne Gyna kicking off, a smidge of ‘feeling-sorry for-myselfness’ lingered. Hey-Ho!

I got the computer going, and I threw my attention at getting the updating of yesterdays IT, done. The wee-wees continued throughout, but each one was of the WUNT (Weak-Unwilling-Negligible-Trickling) style now. At long last, I got the updating finished. Posted it off, emailed the link, and did some Facebooking.

Then. I made the first brew of Glengettie of the day.

Sorted some waste bags out and got them in the box on the walker. I’ll need to take these to the waste chute later on, but must get the computing done first, then prepping Josie’s meals to be done. Oh, I can’t go out in case the delivery arrives… The Thought Storms were at it again!

Tried again to clean the crock-pot basin. I thought I’d done a decent job, but when I put the bowel back in the slow-cooker, I realised I hadn’t done a half-decent job cleaning it at all! I had another go, but the mushroom skins were glued to the porcelain! I put it in soak again. Humph!

I went onto the WordPress Reader section. Next, onto the WP comments. I’d missed these yesterdays, Tsk! It took me over an hour, but I was just glad I’d not missed them again, and I replied to them all. Sorry that it was late, folks!

Then a wee-wee, the kettle filled and turned on, and the moon suddenly came out from the clouds.

That did it – I resolved to get a decent picture of the moon, this time, surely one of them might come out alright? I think since I lot the Nikon, and night shots being so frustratingly bad with the Canon, I may have gone into withdrawal symptoms time. Hahaha! I rushed to get the camera before the clouds hid the moon.

Had I took these with the much-missed and lamented Nikon, I’d have thought they were average at best. But with the Canon, they were much better than usual.

Anne Gyna kicked off again with a venom!

I got the Health Checks done then. Starting with the Boot’s made in China Sphygmomanometer. At least the SYS had fallen from yesterday, down to 159!

The made in Hong Kong, by the Chinese Harpin Xian Di contactless thermometer, showed another decent level of 36.5°c, well in the acceptable green area.

Anne Gyna pains may need me to summon some help if she doesn’t calm down soon. It’s such a struggle to concentrate with the stabbing all around the ribs and chest areas. I dare not take another Nitroglycerin tablet now, with only two being allowed per day, if I did imbibe another one, there would be nothing effective to try if she is still as bad tonight… Poor old thing. I might have a search to see if I have any spare Bisoprolol (Beta-blockers they are used to help treat high blood pressure, angina and heart failure), and take it now, cause things are getting a little nervous-making with Anne Gyna. Yes, I’ll have a look for any spare.

Aha, I found one. I got sidetracked in searching, made up another waste-bag, and sorted out the kitchen towels that had dropped on the floor? Hehe!

I took it, and made a note on the pad, that if things were alright in the morning, not to take the regular one, but keep it safe if needed later on! Fingers crossed, this will ease things a little. I made a brew and took these snaps of the view outside. First a downward photo of the bottom field with the ice and frost looking dodgy. Then another one of the Chestnut Walk car park.

I turned off the computer, checked around that I’d not left anything on or off that shouldn’t be, and got off to get the ablutions done. I needed the Porcelain Throne anyway.

As I got the shower turned on as I entered the wet room, I realised that the ear-cleaning thingies may arrive while I was inside. So, I returned to check on the computer to see what the ETA was. Ah, they may come soon… I decided to skip the showering to save time.

I utilised the Throne first. It was giant meatballs this time. Bloody painful as well. Still, no mess and no bleeding, so, no complaints.

The teeth cleaning did not go very well, Toothache Thomas was angry. The shaving went average, the two activities saw only four dropsies! I seriously considered going into Smug-Mode, but you know my luck, so I didn’t!

The legs ankles and feet did look okay, though there might be a bit of water-retention building up again, I’ve not had that for weeks now.

Cathys Cartilage was the only ailment that was playing up badly. She does that every now and then, for no apparent reason… I suppose that’s why I’ve given her a female ailment name. Hahaha! Only joking! I should have called Austin, after my Allegro, or Estelle after my Skoda that kept playing up?

When I came out to get dressed, I checked the delivery status on the Amazon site. It didn’t look like it had moved to me. The ETA was the same. Oh, dear, not another sleep-stopping delivery time?  Please! Grobbleknackercraps!

I couldn’t find the wristwatch tp put back on. A look in all rooms and the wet room too failed to locate it. Not to fret, it’ll show up later somewhere. I don’t mind, but these Rolex ones ain’t cheap yer know… oh, alright then… I got it from the second-hand charity shop in Sherwood when I moved into the flats, for £2, Hehehe! Within a month it needed a new battery for £18, and a new strap £10. It’s also gone rusty, yet still keeps going!

On the bright side, I’ve just noticed that Anne Gyna is easing off a lot now! Yahoo!

I got the handwashing done in the kitchen sink. I gave it a lot of the Wilko Yan-Ling Chinese made fabric conditioner as I rinsed it out. Got it all done, wrung and hung to drip-dry above the sink

Then, the first proper Accifauxpa of the day! As I turned away from the sink, loss of Balance Brian attacked and momentarily confused, as I started to go down, instead of grabbing the sink unit, I got hold of the long dustpan brush handle. Which, weighing about 4 ounces and made of plastic, surprisingly didn’t afford me any support at all!

Why you may ask, didn’t I grab the sink then? That’s a problem with these sudden losses of balance, the judgement of distances goes to pot at the same time. They are not very good even when things are normal, Tsk!

Anyway, I landed on the right knee – Cathy Cartilages.  I think I may have invented some new curse word in the press! Har-har!

This all put me behind on the Sunday Chef duties, and I concentrated on getting Josie’s meal prepped and served up. It looked passable to me, and I still got it served to her door around the usual hour of midday! Smug-Mode gave way to!

Josie opened the door, said the meal was too big, said something else I couldn’t catch, smiled and shot back indoor with her dinner and weekly carrier with the treats. I think she wanted to get back to the hone with her Sister, my EQ said so, anyways.

I then got back to the flat, cleaned up the mess from hurried meal prepping, had a weak wee-wee, washed, and went on the computer. Cartilage Cathy was still upset with me, but Anne Gyna was much kinder now.

Afterwards, I sat a few moments, pondering on the food situation, I decided to see what slots were available for Iceland. I checked the Amazon tracker first, Same ETA, same place on the progress slide? This is how yesterdays went, and you know how late that came! Oh, dearie me!

When I opened the Iceland site, I found a Priority slot, for Saturday 6th February, 06:00 > 08:00hrs. All selected? So, I made an order, but it was all hit and miss. Four things I wanted were not available – how do they know that this early? Hmm? I got the order in and received a confirmation via email.

I spent a few hours updating this blog. The weariness was beginning to show itself, it is beyond my usual head-down time. Now the struggle to stay awake begins!

Unbelievable, the tracker is at the same position with the exact ETA, as it was hours ago? I’ll have a look to see if there is an email about it… hang, on…

An hour later.

I do believe the progress bar has moved a tiny little bit. But it could be me not thinking that it cannot have stayed in the same place for so long?

But, I waffle, to keep awake methinks.

I got the Chilli-Con-Carne and meatballs in Chilli sauce into the pan, added some peas, and keep nipping through to stir and check on it. No fresh stuff left now, the onions, leeks, carrots and peppers have gone, or thrown away through ageing, Hahaha!

I found today’s figures for local Coronavirus cases. Mayhaps a teeny-weeny bit uplifting? No?

Okay!

Oh, check the food… Turned it off and put the lid on. Not only might sleep not be arriving, but the meal may not be either at this rate, Ama-late-again-zon, that should be their new name!

Still no movement on the Tracker slider from hours ago?

I vainly and stupidly looked outside, thinking perhaps the track has broken and the man may be coming now… Humph!

The cold crisp air of the night brought me back to reality – he’s not going to come for hours yet… even if then! Still, I managed to take two half-decent night shots for once.

I’m clinging on to find a Silver Lining in all this, but, no chance.

Sleep, precious sleep has been destroyed through no fault of my own (I think), for several days, or I should say nights. I’m jiggered! Then I found this. Humph!

Ah! the tracker has changed! I hope it comes soon, I need food and sleep in that order. Shouldn’t be long now, though.

Then, when I was getting my hopes up for food and sleep…

The message on the tracker changed to this one ‘The driver has to make a few more deliveries on his way to your address’, that made me go up to ‘Defcon Three’ status, in the Fed-Up Stakes.

Hahaha!

Frustrated a bit, and so very weary, I summoned the strength to get the thin green quilt hand washed. I got it done, rinsed, wrung and hung above the sink to drip dry. It should be ready by about August.

Then moved the made in Myanmar (Burmese), zip-up jacket, to near the wall heater.

I kept checking on the cooking in between doing the other things.

Then the door chimes rang out… it was Josie, at this time of night, returning the food tray and things from her meal. I tried again to explain to her to please not call after 15:00hrs, that is when I go to get my head down.

Poor gal looked confused. Obviously, I am having to pay for my Sunday chef services with lack of rest. I must have baffled her more, as I explained that had I not been up waiting for the delivery, you would have woke me up again. I’m not sure she understood me. At least she said she enjoyed the meal and treats.

I missed some of course but tried to record where the ‘few’ deliveries I saw recorded were made on the map. Boy, I was mentally shattered!

I just hope I can cope with using the wax-removal after all this hassle.

Eventually, the delivery arrived. Far too tired to do anything with it at this late (for me) hour. I opened it and put it in the second medical drawer down.

Got the Chilli-Con-Carne and meatballs served up, and ate it with some brown bread thins. Really tired, but still enjoyed the meal.

A Flavour-Rating of 7.8/10 for this, well-cooked effort. Even without the missing leeks, capsicums etc.! I got the pots in the sink soaking.

At last, I got down to rest, I fell asleep so soon. Unbelievably I kept making up repeatedly again. The sixth night of this, now!
