02:40hrs: Things seemed all calm, and under control, as I came to semi-life this morning. Maybe my dreaming of being a Holy Father had rubbed off on me, I thought. I rose to, for a change, to find a well-filled GPWWB (Grey-Plastic-Wee-Wee-Bucket).

WD 0.50.0 This began the seemingly never-ending tormenting series of humiliations, Whoopsiedangleplops, Accifauxpas, and frustrations!  Unexpectedly, the wee-wee was of the BOBSL (Blasting-Out-But-Short-Lived) style. Which involved me having an annoying struggle to get things cleaned up afterwards! I turned into a fervid panegyric, as I spent what felt like time-immemorial, cleansing myself, and the surrounding items. Silently (mostly), waffling, carping on and complaining to myself about my recent Whooopsiedangleploop infestation and suffering with so many reverses. The waking up feeling in better spirits didn’t last long!

I was almost drained just by the time I finished the cleaning up of the wee-wee fiasco! I was in the kitchen after sanitising the bucket and moved the handwashing to the airer. Took the medications, and off to the Porcelain Throne.

WD 0.50.0 The session was as different as chalk and cheese compared to the last one. Back to the substantially-sized torpedo, rear-end damaging mode! Oy Vey!

I pressed on with getting the Saturday post updated and sent it off to WordPress.

WD 0.50.0 Made a brew, and started to do this blog…

Vir 0.50.0

It would not come back on despite trying all my usual ploys and tricks.

WD 0.50.0 So, I sent into the kitchen, and taking the seasoning out of the cupboard to use on Josie’s meal later, I dropped it on the floor! It reminded me of a Will Hay scene! I used the long brush and dustpan to sweep it up.

WD 0.50.0 The very moment I was about to tip it into the bin, the right leg launched into one its imitation Neuropathic Schuhplattler (The neuropathic medicine drop the dustpan) dances!

WD 0.50.0 Not only did I bang myself against the server, but the long dustpan shot away and knocked the dishes in the drainer on the sink, and amongst the clutter and clatter, the blue serving dish shattered!

WD 0.50.0 Then still had a job to do again, of sweeping up again, the now spread all over the place mixed herbs, as well as the pieces of the dish, and cutlery that was knocked over as well! It’s difficult to say exactly how I felt at the time, without ranting and using bad language! I’ll settle for, Well, and truly Pissed-Off!

The time was so late now. No time to get the Facebooking or this blog done. Because the ablutions needed tending to.

WD 0.50.0 I had a check on the internet… A no-go! Spit, Globblegooks, and Argh!!!

Vir 0.50.0

I got a large potato in the crockpot cooking, to make Josie’s cheesy mash later.

To the wet room, then. Back in a while. Probably bleeding from shaving, that will likely cause me to bleed to death, thanks to the Doctors failure to do an INR Warfarin blood-test for over two weeks, with an injury from the sock-glide, a stubbed toe, and ready for another stroke! Tsk! Gawd, I hate Sundays! Virgin, The Sherringham Park Medical Practice, Pavement Cyclists, Myself, and… I’d better stop here. I’m not doing myself any good! Mind you, if I get through until Tuesday, the After-Stroke Physio might help me… Argh! I think this week, we get some homework in the form of sophrology, to do daily at home. But, I do get confused at times. Hehehe!

Back in a bit… or not.

7Sun01Well, well, well! I do feel a fool for writing all that doom-ladened stuff about the ablutions, now! The pins (legs), were looking a lot better. Even the RAI (Rheumatoid Arthur Itis) in the knees had died down! The little scratch from when I hit the road with my knee when I did a Whoopsie yesterday, was already clearing. Amazing! The best bit was my dysphoricalness is improving.

Just two dropsies, toothpaste and then the razor. And one close call in the shower as I was cleaning the tiles afterwards, and Dizzy Dennis paid me a visit. But the grab rail proved it worth, and no CIDP activity or shaving cuts either! No other problems or glitches at all. Mind you, I didn’t put any socks on, so the daily battle with the glide was avoided altogether. Cunning eh? I’ll have that pleasure if I do get out later, to Sherwood to try and get some flakey-pastry finger sticks.

WD 0.50.0 I tried the computer again, checked on the internet supply from Mr ‘Soddum em all’ Fries…

Vir 0.50.0

So, not as annoyed as I was earlier, I don’t know why. I made sure I had all the ingredients for the nosh to hand. Moved the handwashing on the airers. Then I considered the possibility of trying to do the kitchen windows, cause I can’t get hold of the chap who didn’t arrive last Saturday, who Jenny put me onto. Then, I recalled my going backwards off of the stepladders the last time I tried cleaning the unwanted new, thick-framed, light & view-blocking filthy windows – being a chicken-hearted whimp, I decided against doing them. Mardy, Mardy Custard! Haha! I don’t know how I thought of that phrase, I think we sang it in spite to other kids when I was an ankle-snapper – or rather they sang it at me! Ha-ha!

I had a wee-wee, a nice calm SNS (Short-No-Sensation) version.

Back to the computer, and was amazed, flobble-decked, to find Mr Fries Liberty-Global, Virgin Media Internet, was working. Bloody slow, though! WD 0.50.0

Vir S 0.50.0

I pressed with blogging. It was as if the ailments knew the problems I was having with the Doctors over the lack of Warfarin blood tests, and, Mr Steven (Fabricationist, facetious, falsifier, failed-service supplier, and fat-cat) Fries, frustratingly-overcharging philargyrist. For they all eased off or affected me less often!

Got getting the meal prepped and cooking for Josie. Took the potato out of the slow-cooker, removed the skin, and got it well mashed with some Leicester Cheese, balsamic vinegar and a little sea salt, and what a mess I made doing this. Hehe! I got the fodder in the oven to brown off. While it cooked, I mixed in some malt vinegar7Sun07 and mayonnaise with the brined tuna. I had the pleasure of using the new tomato-slicer for Josie’s plate. Got the arrangement for the plate laid out, leaving space for the cheesy potatoes to go on last, so they will keep warmer longer.

While waiting a few minutes for the potato to brown off in the oven, I thought I’d have a go at clearing the slicer, saucepan, forks etc. into the sink for washing…

7Sun10 WD 0.50.0a I spilt some juice out of the slicer-tray on the floor. Bent down to wipe it up, and clouted my head on the cooker! A bad one this was. I think I hit somewhere near where I clonked my head when I fell off of the stepladder trying to get up to do the windows the other day, cause it stung something rotten! It has been aching ever since. Tsk!

WD 0.50.0 I spotted the large blood papsule in the morning when I got the photo onto the blog. No pain or bother from it at all. It’s just the size of it that registered. Hahaha! I wonder how long it’s been there? Still, they come, and they go.

7Sun02I took a few minutes to unwind, then got the potatoes out of the oven, and onto the plate. Got it all done, and delivered it to the gals door. Josie didn’t answer until I was going back in the flat, she’d been on the phone talking to family. At least she was alright, I handed her the nosh, explained about the mayonnaise and tomato slicer being used, but I don’t think she could hear me properly. But she gave me a smile, thanked me, and I returned to the bomb-site… I mean kitchen! I got it cleaned up eventually, and then, I decided I’d have a hobble into Sherwood, to try and get some decent tomatoes and flakey pastry fingers, I should be able to get the fingers from the Ozan shop.

7Sun10aOut, to Ozan’s in Sherwood, in search of flaky-pastry finger biscuits, tomatoes. I checked on the Fire Escape and exit door out to the alfresco seated area. It had not been mended yet, of course, it is the weekend. I do hope I live long enough to have the pleasure of sitting out there in the sunshine and doing the crossword book. Chances seem minimal, mind! It might be nice if I clock-out before next summer and the door ever does get mended if they would allow my hulk and bulk body ashes to be buried in with the flowers? No plaque or anything wanted, I couldn’t afford one anyway. Unless I get my valuables back that Brother-in-law Pete purloined while he was flat-sitting when I was in the hospital. (Which is as likely as a ten-legged, three-headed alien coming down on a heliotrope coloured leather parachute and doing a nude Neuropathic Schuhplattler dance, and then making love to a daffodil on a pink furry dray horse).  Just a desire to get to enjoy this alfresco facility (Wooden bench), even if a little late in life, or death in my case. Hehehe!

7Sun11As I set off along Chestnut Walk, it seemed that all the other tellurians apart from me had relinquished their occupancy.

I pressed on casually, no rushing, and got on to Winchester Street hill, and the three-wheeler guide, that is not enamoured with going 7Sun11adownhill, especially on the uneven ground, it needed a good bit of controlling. But I avoided any Accifaupaxs or tumbles. Smug-Mode-Engaged! I met Welsh William with two full bags of shopping, and Fred, with his hands in his pockets, coming up the hill. We shared greetings.

7Sun15WD 0.50.0 I continued down onto Mansfield Road. I got to the Oran Continental Foods Store. But no luck in finding any of the finger-biscuits. Trouble is, there were a few, but with the wrapping mostly being in Latvian, Polish or Romanian, I couldn’t read the writing on the packets, to find out what the contents were.

So, I got some vanilla and lemon filled croissants, at three for a quid, and two tomatoes to have with my late nosh. (Another chance to play with the new tomato-slicer? Hehe!)

7Sun16Paid for them, thanked the man, and exited to begin the uphill-hobble back to the flats. No buses on a Sunday.

There was a mixture of cumulus and Alto cumulous clouds in the sky. So much so, that my persistent viewing of them ended up giving me a stiff neck! Haha!

7Sun18They really were so beautiful.

WD 0.50.0 However, further up Winchester Street Hill, I took this rather sad photographicalisation to the North. A zoomed-in shot that came out nothing like it looked to the eye. I was trying to picture a trail of a jet-liner as it crossed the skies. Another cock-up!

The trudge up the hill to the Winwood Heights complex was completed with relative ease, but I took it steady and did have a few stops en route.

7Sun19I walked along Chestnut Way, then into the Winwood Court entrance, and along the linking passage without seeing a soul. I hate weekends!

I noticed the fire doors were wedged open? But, I think they will open automatically in the event of a fire alarm activation. Obviously, the door out to the alfresco benches garden, might not, being as it is still not working, to let anyone out. But fear not, Nottingham City Homes have been made aware of the problem. I mentioned it two weeks ago, no, three now!

I felt so weary suddenly as I went up in the lift. So, I called at Josie’s to give her a lemon cake and advised her that I would soon be settling to try and get some sleep, so no need to return the tray and things later and wake me up. (which she did anyway! Hehe!) We had a natter, and I got in the flat.

7Sun20I had to fight off the heavy eyelids as I put the bits away and prepared the meal.

Easy-peasy this time. The peas were still warm from when I heated them for Josie’s nosh. I put the sourdough baguette in the oven with the earlier prepared cheesy potatoes for ten minutes, and wallah! Added the misshape cooked meat and beetroot. Used the tomato-slicer (it’s had some use today, Haha!), and buttered the bread. Got settled, and really enjoyed the plateful. I ate slowly to fool the guts that I was eating more than I was! Clever, eh? A flavour rating of 8.5/10, given!

Medications were taken, and Phorpain gel rubbed in both knees, and the hands. To try and counter the bound-to-come cramps and RAI (Rheumatoid Arthur Itis).

I can’t remember now what it was, but I was watching something or other on the gogglebox, and almost before you could say Jack Robinson, I’d drifted off into a world of divertissement – Sleep!

WD 0.50.0 A couple or so hours later, the door chime rang out. I tried to ignore it… it rang again. I forced my way out of my Brother-in-Law Pete damaged while he was flat-sitting, when I was in hospital, as he fitted new CCTC cameras, and searched for my valuables, which he found and took, I still haven’t got them back yet four-months later, £300, second-hand, near-dilapidated, gungy-beige coloured, c1968, sometimes working, uncomfortable, rickety, rinky-dinked, rattling, rusty, resurrected, reconditioned, recalcitrant, recidivating and rotting-away recliner. It took me a while to get to the door, the chimes rang out again before I got there. It was Josie (Bless her), returning the plates, pots and tray things from the nosh. The gal looked so amazed at me in the dressing gown (which I had put on, thankfully as I got up, Hehe!). At least she said she enjoyed the meal.

I crept, almost like a ghost to the kitchen and plonked down the tray and that on the counter. Then, had a wee-wee, an  RDD (Reluctant-Drip-Drip) version, back to the wet room to wash the hands, returned to the front dump… I meant, room, and back into the Brother-in-law Pete damaged-recliner.

Could I get back to sleep again? Despite my feeling so jaded, wearied, drained, tired and fatigued, I could not. For the brain had one its, ‘Let’s think of something to worry about’ attacks’, that occupied the grey-cells for ages. No sooner had a problem or worry been highlighted, and I got close to a solution – then, new anxieties or concerns would arrive to replace it, for consideration and fretting over!

I have no idea what time I nodded off again. Grumph!

Inchcock – Tues 23 July 2019: Fell over getting off the bus, otherwise an archetypical day for the old gollumpus!

Javanese: Selasa 23 Juli 2019

00:40hrs. The previous awakenings have all been unassociated with the one before, different. This morning was noncontradictory to this pattern. I stirred in such a good mood, I thought at first that I was still sleeping and having a dream! I soon sussed-out why. It was the help I’d had from Deana yesterday. In her sorting so out the many medical related problems with appointments, Warfarin etcetera for me.

WD 40.0.0. These exceptional and none-typical, rare, almost gleefull emotions were so welcome. But my EQ put a stop to my enjoying them to the full. Something soon, (possibly with regards to the medical arrangements), is going to go wrong. A suboptimal, unsatisfactory, spirit-bashing wretched complication is due, today or tomorrow. The EQ, although sometimes challenging to read, is rarely wrong! And the message was clear: A calamity emotion-wise is due! No point in fretting, nothing can be done to prevent the unknown!

2Tue01I contentedly galumphed my ever-growing flobby-bellied body, from the £300, second-hand, grotty-beige coloured, seen-better-days, rusty, rickety, c1968 recliner.

I grabbed the walking stick, got my balance, and off to utilise the EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-Wee Bucket). It had been used very little overnight, and the RDD (Reluctant-Drip-Drip) wee-wee I had, added very little to the contents, although it took an inordinately long time.

The nerve-damaged leg seemed to have acquired some extra blood-papsules, spots, what looked like scratches and some more, new spider-veins had appeared. The regular pale, anaemic looking skin was no worse this morning.

2Tue03aOff to the kitchen. Where I rinsed out the soaking overnight hand wash bits and got them on the stand-up airer to encourage their drying process. Then got the kettle on, and did the Health Checks. The results were very pleasing (I think) today; Sys 128, Dia 71, Pulse 78, and temperature 34.8°c. The pulse had gone down a fair bit. I wonder if the lack of the INR nurse coming to take the blood, means that the level 2Tue03of Warfarin has gone too far up or down, and that has affected the reading level?

Shame about the hands and fingers doing a mini-dance routine as I was taking a picture of the sphygmomanometer readings. I didn’t realise until I downloaded it to Coreldraw. Hey-ho!

I took the medications, made a brew, and decided to pop out on the new unwanted, work creating, lumps of hand-flash tearing on its metal spring-clip opener that needs pushing, bending, and pulling to operate it, windows.

I took a couple of photographicalisations. One of below, showing the house and street lights of Sherwood, with Chestnut Way car park underneath.

The metal spring opener was not quick enough to tear any finger-flesh this time! Hehe!

I then went on the computer, opened CorelDraw and began to make, well adapt and put on a vignette effect on the picture. I’ll use it later for an Inchcock’s Thought graphic.

The legs, hands fingers and shoulder were all calm now. And they stayed this way for two hours or more, while I worked at the CorelDrawing.

Then I moved on to updating the Monday Inchcock Today.

Most astoundingly, and hard for even me to understand, but there was hardly any dancing, jumping, shaking or trembling from any affected part of the body at all… well, that’s not dead-accurate. The shoulder did give me some massive twitches, but only occasionally, and not for long at all. A rather warm-feeling that contained hope in there somewhere came over me. Optimistic [Temporarily of course]-Mode-Engaged! Haha!

I got the Monday blog finished and sent off to WordPress. I was getting nervous with things going so well – the EQ message kept coming to mind, I’ve no confidence at all. Sad innit?

Back to the CorelDraw graphics creating.

Then I got this blog started off.

Time to stop and get the ablutions done. Back later, my fellow tellurians.

I needed a Porcelain Throne session. Still painful and very much a struggle. By the time I get to the Doctors. To mention this ‘Issue’ amongst others, it will be three weeks of agonising throne visiting. Of course getting me an emergency visit, by the delightfully entrancingly beauteous Hauptbereitschaftsleiteress Warden and Cosmopolitan Model Deana, for a week, I anticipate the problem may have cleared up. Then again, I’ve been suffering with erm… over-firmness and bleeding for a fortnight now.

WD 40.0.0. WD 40.0.0A Just the one cut while shaving. Dropped the toothpaste. Dropped the razor twice, and stuck the scissors in my finger. All normal there then! Hahaha!

All dressed and smelling a lot better now, I made up three bags and took them to the waste chute. Got the three-wheeler guide out, and thought I must have a look to see if I can do anything about the brakes, later. Which was a rather bold idea, considering my total lack of engineering skills and the Polyneuropathy movement affected the right-hand side of the stumpy yet wobbly body! Hat and sleeveless jacket on, and off, out to the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights, Obergruppenführeress Warden’s Temporary 3Wed001bHQ. Sarcasm & Insult distribution area. Tenants Socialisationistical Meeting Shed. Telling Inchcock off Zone. Memory blank message-giving and taking office. Where things like crockery and pottery get stolen from. Rumourmongering Clinic, and somewhere to rest while waiting for the bus, Portakabin.

Just a social visit.

3Wed01bI took a photographicalisation of Winwood and Winchester Court, and the new passageway that is nearly finished, between Woodthorpe Court and Winwood Court, as I hobbled along Chestnut Way. Coming on well, now. The newly relaid again turf is looking better now we have had some rain. How long before cars go on it, dogs poo on it, and yobboes tear it up? Pessimistic? Me? Hahaha!

Nearing the hut, I saw how the same little yellow wildflowers as the ones I shot yesterday, had been battered by the overnight winds. Many thin bee-like insects were showing great interest in the petals. But the close-up shot I tried to take of them, just went to prove my lack of photographicalisational skills and how the hand was shaking. Tsk!

3Wed01f

I got in the cabin, and several of the NCH chaps were in there on their laptops. Deana and Julie were busy in their office. Must be a hectic time for them, with the upcoming relocation into the Winwood Court building. I offered the ladies a quick good morning, and I handed out some nibbles to the gentlemen. I even got a smile out of some of them. Then, out and over the road to the bus stop. Where the tenants were having a good chinwag, and I joined in, and some laughs were inspired. I had a struggle getting the trolley on to the bus. I was soon chatting away, sat next to Mary.

WD 40.0.0.WD 40.0.0A: As the bus stopped near the Asda store on Front Street, in Arnold, I was getting off with the three-wheeler trolley-guide, last, as is usual, and the trolley tipped over, and I followed it to the floor! Thanks, to the leg doing its involuntary ungraceful version of the Bharatnatyam, with the heebie-jeebies thrown in for good measure! The driver came to assist me down the aisle and off the bus. I did feel the right Klutz! I think I banged or pulled something in the lower back. But the pain soon eased off.

Mary showed some concern for me, bless her. We both went into the Asda store. I needed some Uncle Benn’s BBQ flavour rice, bacon fries and bread. Mary and I split-up, as I went in search of the rice. Ending up asking an assistant where they were, and she kindly walked me to them; at the far end of the store! Hehe! Kind of her. Then I had to walk back to the other end again, to get the bread and chips. I found some wholemeal flatbreads, which will go in the freezer, I hope. I also got a pack of cheapo lollies. I paid at the self-serve till without any problems.

3Wed01gI realised that I might not make it to the bus stop on time. So, my top rate of knots (fair enough, it might not be much, but it got me breathing heavily). Mary was in the shelter, she said she is going to town on a 58 bus. The bloke behind when I snapped Mary, looked a bit guilty of something, judging by his facial reaction. Haha!

The 58 arrived, and I bade farewell to Mary. The L9 followed, and I wearily got on and settle down on a side-saddle seat. The driver was the same one we had when going to Arnold, and he waited until I was sat down before moving off, I thanked him with hand signals!

3Wed01hThe bus soon had us back at the flats. My back was stinging a little again, as I hobbled along Chestnut Way to Woodthorpe Court. Which had had a long-overdue facelift and clean-up. I got up and in the flat without seeing anyone.

I almost went in the wet room for a wee-wee. Had to stop myself realising I didn’t need one! Sheesh!

Another letter from the Nottingham City Homes. Regrettably, about rats being seen near the Woodthorpe Court lobby entrance door! It said that the Tenants leaving waste and rubbish outside the caretaker’s area might be attracting the vermin. If the bags of waste are too big to go down the (much reduced in size opening, to help avoid blockages in the shaft) chute, “You may want to consider splitting the bag 2Tue21into two separate bags so that the items can be disposed of in the correct manner.” They advised that residents do not throw out food for the birds, or throw food items out of their windows. Section 3.16 of your tenancy agreement does explain how you should dispose of your waste if you live in a flat.

Well, I agree with what they say. I, personally, myself, me, Inchcock, only leave recyclable waste bags outside. But, they have a point about this, I hadn’t considered. The empty food cans, although rinsed out, may well still have a bit of food in them. The rats can smell this, and will bite through searching for fodder! So, I’ll stop doing this from now on.

I have now got four waste bins in the flat, and regularly, well, daily dispose of them down the chute. It cost a bit in buying so many black bags for the general waste and white ones for the recyclable stuff. Yet, I still spasmodically see folks using the old, but looking new, orange bags previously supplied for the recyclable use, adopting them as shopping carrier bags, now they are not being distributed. Feeding the birds is a no-no!

It made me wonder, when we had a delay in the building update works, by a discovery of pipistrelle bats, that are a protected species. The hassle this caused! I hope they do not make Homo sapiens a protected species. How would they punish North Vietnam, Russia, China… in fact, any Government! Haha!

I made a brew while cooking, and pondered on the week’s appointments up to now, anyway. Busy!

3Wed001

I got the nosh served up. What a disappointment, though. It looked just fine at first. Chicken breast, tomatoes, gherkins, garden peas, and some of the bacon flavoured fries.

The taste-buds were limbering up, and I got it served up.

2UseWD 40.0.0. When I was tucking into it, I realised that the chicken was not as fresh as it looked. A close nasal inspection and I dispensed with the chicken breasts, immediately! The rest of the meal was fine! A taste Rating of 6.5/10. Note the two vinegar flavoured rice cakes in place of bread. Smug-Mode-Adopted!

2Tue19As I was washing up the pots, the and its cloud formations looked fantastic, so much so, I got the Nikon camera and took a picture through the open, unwanted, work-creating, view-blocking, light-limiting, thick-framed new kitchen window. (In the morning, I tried to use the Red Eye remover, to take out a spot. But it was not an entirely successful first attempt. The place I tried to remove can still be seen. Huh!

WD 40.0.0. As I settled down to watch some TV, the ankle-ulcer and right leg started to tingle, and a sense that I had worms inside the limb, wriggling about began. I reckon I could see the skin /flesh moving!

WD 40.0.0. As for my viewing the Rumpole of the Baily episode, that lasted around five minutes before I nodded off!

WD 40.0.0. The landline rang, and the light woke me, but, by the time I got to the phone, it stopped!

I watched intermittent five-minutes worth of TV, then fell asleep, repeatedly for an hour or so.

WD 40.0.0. I roused myself and got the hand laundry washed, rinsed and hung up above the sink. Then got the medications taken, and back in the dangerous, unreliable, sometimes working, £300, second-hand, gungy-beige coloured, c1968 recliner again.

WD 40.0.0. I was woken again by the landline red light flashing. Too late once more, and the caller rang off before I got to the telephone. It might have been the phlebotomy nurse? Oh, dear!

I’m not sure about how things went in a way, today. The frequency of the wee-wees had significantly reduced. Good or bad? Only three adverse occurrences of the leg doing its dance routine – but the last one had me over and onto the bus floor? The ankle vesication appeared so much calmer and less vivid, yet the sensation of worms in the ulcer was stronger? THe legs are both far thinner now, but one or the other is always fatter than the other one? Why am I still… Oh, it doesn’t matter. Haha!

TTFNski!.

Inchcock Today – Frid 12 July: Most hurtful day for months. Power cut supplied via the sprinkler fitters, for seven hours! Pissed-offedness all day!

Scots Gaelic: Dihaoine 12 Luchar 2019

01:30hrs: I woke up with a start, and in surprisingly good spirits, beyond one’s expectations, considering my physical and mental health situation. This worried me somewhat. Naturally, this was most unnatural for me. Hehe!

I was out of the £300, second-hand, c1968, grotty and fading grungy-beige coloured, rickety-recliner, in no time, and with no seriously hard pains or troubles (Summat else to fret about, this is all so incredible to me! Haha!)

WD b 0.0.255 The EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-Wee Bucket) was utilised. But the welcome SSWWs (Short-Sharp-Wee-Wees) of yesterday, was replaced with a terribly-trying and painful ELDOPWW (Extra-long-Drawn-Out-Persistent-Wee-Wee). By the time it was over, it felt like the time gained in my getting up so early had all been lost!

Pain 01RWDA b 0.0.255 As I hobbled over to get the slippers on, one of possibly, my equal-best-ever toe-stubbings was suffered, against the large Ottoman! The pain and residual stinging were so chronic for a while. I was so pleased (And Surprised at my will-power!) and that I kept my wailing and cursing in a silent mode. Well, I think I did!

5Fri01I made a brew and finished off the hand-washing I’d left soaking in the bowl.

I noticed later, the moon seemed to be red and low, in the night sky.  So, I opened the unwanted light & view blocking kitchen window, with the glass to clean that is unreachable, and took this terrible photo. It was drizzling a bit outside.

Pain 01RWDA b 0.0.255 As I started the computer to update the Thursday post, the summoning from the innards for the Porcelain Throne to be visited, was answered. I really believed that the last couple of evacuations I’d taken were the most painful ever – I was wrong! This one must have come close to the claim, though! This massive, colossal evacuation must have been one of the biggest-ever! It needed several flushing! As for the discomfort… Arrgh! Things were getting back to my regular unhappy happenings now, after the over-optimistic start to the day. Hehehe!

Back to the computerisationing. The fingers and hands, in fact, apart from the dancing leg, all the other right limbs were not playing up at all! Even the Virgin Media was going well (I beg that I don’t regret saying this later!). Only three wee-wees were needed over the hours it took to do the post. Every one now of the RWPSWW (Reluctant-Weak-Painful-Spraying-Wee-Wee) style. Which was fair-enough for me; at least I could tell when things had stopped, cause the pain eased off. Haha!

Many hours later, I got the post all finished and sent it off to WordPress. Then I realised I had not taken the morning medications yet. What a fertummelt old fool I am!

5Fri005Off into the kitchen, even having the nous and sense to stop half-way, and returned for the walking stick. (Smug-pleased-with-oneself-Mode-Adopted!).

As I opened the unwanted light & view blocking new window to take a shot of below, I took a blind shot. This being due to my fear of using the stepladder and coming off of it again manifestly, perspicuously, and colliding with the floor, and ending up with back pain and a bruise on my bonce! When I leant out to take the picture, the smell was a delight to my nostrils. It was obviously the petrichor of the late evening downp5Fri004our, that had dried up or was drying up quickly, judging by the marks in Chestnut Way, and raindrops on the unwanted, nasty, wide, overhanging, black-painted, photographers-nightmare window ledge.

The clouds looked nice but were later covered in a light mist or fog, as was the distant views.

5Fri003aI put the olive oil in the ears, and drops in the eyes, the cream on Harold’s Haemorrhoids. Then got the medication out from the blister-pack, and made a tasty strong brew of the Glengettie Assam tea, and took them with me to the computer, Alway a dodgy, risky thing to do, with the walking stick hanging over an arm as I do it!). I observed that one tablet was of a proportionately larger size than the others. So, I assumed that it was one of the regular ones, but made by a cheaper supplier that the chemist had used. I don’t blame him, either! But it can confuse old senility-approaching people… like me! I took the tablets and pressed on with starting this blog, and yet again…

Virgin blue

I stopped doing the blog and made up a Morrison order for next week.

The door chimes rang out. It was the engineer who’d come to fit the new communication portal on the wall.

5Fri006LieBlue Of course, I hadn’t forgot about him coming at all! But my greeting him with just the dressing gown and slippers on, did not go unnoticed. (Ahem!) I proffered cringing apologise’ and left him to the job. I got a ripe look in return, that correctly said; “The senile old fool!” I can’t say that I blame him, either!

5Fri08aWDA b 0.0.255 I shot into the wet room for a hurried wash and shave. I knew of the two cuts I made on the chin and lip in my haste, and when I got dressed and out, the man informed me of blood running down from my neck. Tsk!

He moved the clothing off of the hooks in the hall and got on with fitting the console. He soon had the job done and commenced to speedily bamboozle me the instructions on how to use the communicator. A good job he left me several A4 leaflets on it. He said he would go down and try out the system.

As he left, the Fire Sprinkler fitter team arrived. They were plainly an expert, well-trained, demolition crew. After a while; Amidst the door slamming, drilling, knocking and general audial mayhem, I started to make up the Nottingham City Centre Hobble Photographicalisations. But I didn’t get it finished…

WD b 0.0.255 Total power loss!

I was in a picklement. Hoping I might save some of the Coreldraw work, when and if the power returns, no Emergency Wrislet, no landline telephone etc. Nobody explained or said anything to me. I had no idea what had happened. Other than the belief that the team had made a faux pa of some sort, and none of them knew what the problem was, what they had cocked-up, or how to get the electricity back on. They had blokes of sorts of shades coming and going, but no information for me. It happened at 09:25hrs. At 09:49hrs, a chap came in asking for a key to the electricity-box in the outer hallway. I explained that the one I had, an electrician waltzed off with it. Then his colleagues called him back outside. I followed, and there were six blokes around the opened box.

WD b 0.0.255 Losing the Coreldraw and possibly WordPress work already done, brought on feelings of being deprived, anxiety, snubbed, ignored, disappointed, heartbroken, dismayed, nefastousness, wretchedly miserable, displeased, disgruntled, and pissed-off – the only 5Fri007flat out of about 224, that this has happened to. Humph! Unlucky! What!

WD b 0.0.255 I sillily went to put the kettle on! Oy Vay, what a right Shlimazel!

WD b 0.0.255 I tried to think things through if there is no reconnection possible. I made some sarnies up, wrapped them and… wait for it; put them in the fridge to keep them fresh! What a right Bozzo and Shmegegge! With having no wrist or panic alarm working, I thought I’d better mention it to Obersturmführeress and Catwalk Model, Warden Julie soon.

5Fri005The noise of the drilling recommenced. Battery drills? No, they were using Josie’s electricity from next door! Cheek!

WD b 0.0.255 A right mess had accrued in the inner hallway, wrappings, flex, etc.! Loud wails of frustration as heard, but I thought better of going to have a look at the workmen.

The door slamming returned, they had wedged mine open, though. In fact, both fire-doors were stuck open!

5Fri007a10:30hrs. Suddenly it all went quiet! I went and took a peep. I picked up some bits of plastic and screws; I didn’t want to get them in the hoover, not that I can charge it up anyway, though. The Peed-offedness is growing worse!

I cleaned the emptied glass jars and bottles and took them down to the recycling bin. A chap nipped in front of me to put his wine and spirits bottle in. I said: “Alcoholics first, mate!” He saw the funny side and laughed! I went back up, with thoughts of having a shower in my demented brain. I was losing it here! I fond two blokes investigating the electricity box. One told me they were expecting an SSE and British Gas engineers to arrive. I need them both because of the convoluted mixture of suppliers in use! Hmm!

5Fri08bA different bloke came and cleaned up the outer hallway using Josie’s electricity. I got a Brain Clough book out to read.

10:50hrs, The banging of doors started again. Then the shouting mixed in with mumbling?

WD b 0.0.255 I was getting more depressed now. No computer, no TV, no radio, no intercom, no DVD; And all the computer work to do when help finally arrives. Grr!

Then, as I settled to read the book, I spotted two of the missing items from last week. Both were under the 1963 falling to pieces, second-hand Hopewell’s G-Plan, cabinet. A pod pea, and an air spray cap. Hehehe!

5Fri007bb

I put the book down after a few chapters of the book and went to the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights, Hauptbereitschaftsleiteress Warden’s Temporary HQ. Sarcasm & Insult distribution area. Tenants Socialisationistical Meeting Shed. Telling Inchcock off Zone. Where things like crockery and pottery get stolen from, Rumourmongering Clinic, and somewhere to rest while waiting for the bus, Portakabin. I was lucky enough to catch Julie and told her about my problem. No answer or advice, just acknowledgement. So I hobbled back to the flat, no doubt she will get in touch with the relevant department and let me know.

WD b 0.0.255 It really is rebarbative, this situation. I can’t go out to get any food for Josie’s nosh tomorrow. It’s already well gone my head-down time. I want to get the diary updated, which will mean it’ll be hours beyond mt sleep-time. And will I get up early enough tomorrow, to go and get some potatoes from Sherwood? Double Humph!

Julie called at the flat and told me an electrician from Nottingham City Homes will be calling and will sort the problem out for me.

14:25hrs: A man called from Great Western Electricity? Another arrived as I was talking to the first one. I could tell them nothing. All the sprinkler men had made another mess and gone again. I suggested he calls at the hut.

5Fri08aI tried to clean up the hallway with the battery Black & Decker vacuum, but it died a death.

I studied the leaflets about the new intercom and entrance panel screen. But being such an irritated and now tired state as well, the advice and pictures were not being absorbed well at all.

5Fri08I went to the panel for an assessment of sorts. Oh, dearie me!

WD b 0.0.255 I found three missed calls on the screen! I had feared this might happen. I could not hear the tone ringing. The requests may have come in when the Sprinker lads were banging door or drilling, but there is no way of knowing!

5Fri007cJust what I didn’t need; another leaflet, this time telling me about work on the water supply, for three separate days! I am to leave the plug out of the toilet sink. Hah! Does no-one listen? I keep telling people about the sink not draining, and how it costs me a fortune in drain unblocker fluid every week as it is! And it overflowed last week!

WD b 0.0.255 I am absolutely getting to the end of my tether with all the work going on. We’ve had how long now? Over two years? It’s aided me having the Stroke. Thrown the IRN level all to pot. I’ve tripped over a mat outside a flat, and they have removed mine and others on Health & Safety grounds. Fell off of the stepladder repeatedly. The new light and view-blocking windows I cannot reach to clean, even if I was fit enough: Started Duodenal Donald and Anne Gyna off. I get on the wrong buses repeatedly. Diagnosed with Axonotmesis, Peripheral Neuralgia and Diabetic Polyneuropathy. Gone partly crippled and bonkers. Contracted Lethologica and Mental Dysmorphic Disorder, have to wear ankle support straps, use a stick or trolley guide! I am the only flat to get the Evil-Boll-Weevils invasion. Now, the sole flat that the Fire Sprinkler crew have cut the power to for about eight-hours and left a right mess for me to clean up. Forever losing and dropping things. Life is currently persistent in doing my physical and mental health no favours! Humph!

14:30hrs. An electrician arrived from Nottingham City Homes and set about sorting the problems.

Then the Sprinkler men returned, a little door banging, mess making, cover cutting and drilling followed. Then a chap said, they were going to clean up as they had finished now and would be on their way. This gave me a little heart -they were going to clean up!

Here’s what I had to clean up. The inside and outer hallways.

Shortly, true to his word, the power was back on. I got the kettle on and updating this post.

Which took me a couple of more hours to get up to here.

Virgin blue

5Fri016Pee’d-off, even more frustrated, tired and knackered, I got then nosh ready.

I was way too tired and irritated at life and its Inchcock-bound Whoopsiedangleplops and disasters, to fully appreciate the fodder but was glad I made up the sarnies earlier. Those French fries were terrible, so foul – then it dawned on me…

WD b 0.0.255 The cock-up by the Fire Sprinkler crew, knocking the damned apartment’s power going off for so long, has kiboshed all the food in the freezer! I’ll have to dish it, and replacements bought – how, I don’t know, physically it will take me days with the little trolley carrying space, and finding the time. Of course its weekend again, another no-help or advise available situation.

I’m more bent-out-of-shape and forlorn, woebegone and Angry with life than ever! It’s been four horribly horrendously hurtful-to-live days now, and I’m getting more irritable, cantankerous, short-fused, huffy and exasperated than ever.

I wonder if I can claim against the Sprinkler company? Loss of the food, Stopping my getting out for fresh fodder, causing undue-suffering, my lack of sleep, damaging the wall, radiator paint, and me! Hehe! I’ll try my best to catch up with the Nottingham City Homes Hauptbereitschaftsleiteress Housing Patch Manager and Razzle Magazine Model, Angela Gould, and ask for her advice on this.

5Fri017I left most of the nosh.

I had to get up for a failed wee-wee and washed the tray and plate etc.

I took this photo as the night neared 21:00hrs, six hours later than my usual head-down time.

I was too weary for any recrimination and accusation to be mused over.

What a miserable, frustrating, hope-robbing, enthusiasm destroying, and crap day!

Yours faithfully; from a pathetically, persecuted, unlucky, had enough, depressed, pee’d-off, and shattered, Inchcock. Tsk!

Inchcock Today – Wednesday 19th June:

2019 June 19

Wednesday 19th June 2019

Italian: Mercoledì 19 Giugno 2019

02:45hrs: WD 0.0.50 W I woke, (a decent six-hours kip) this Wednesday with an unnatural desire, nae, craving, to get the hand-washing I did last night, to the drying process. It was as if it was crucial, life-threatening or catastrophic consequences would be suffered if I di3Wed01d not get the t-shirt and socks onto the drier?

This was not a velleity! But an essential, vital job that needed to be done post-haste, at least it did to me at the time? I don’t know or understand why, either!

I extracted the increasingly more massive torso from the £300 second-hand, c 1968, rickety, gungy-beige, occasionally working, vintage recliner. I totally ignored the need for a wee-wee and got the hand-washing bits on the drier. And for some weird reason, a feeling of satisfaction overcame me?

I responded to the need for a wee-wee, using the almost-full EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-Wee bucket). It was of the LSPDOWWs (Long-Slow-Painfull-Drawn-Out-Wee-wee) variety, the type that actually wears me down a bit, all the waiting, praying and hoping for an end to the evacuation. Hehe! A long time later, all was done, and I emptied and sanitised the (often life and embarrassment saving) grey bucket, and disinfected it.

On to the computer, to update the Tuesday Inchcock. The computer or maybe the internet was very slow, but on the plus side, the right fingers, hand, arm, shoulder, and legs were a lot more kind to me, and their little electricity-inspired dances were few and far between. I can’t win, can I? The Axonotmesis, and the Peripheral Neuropathy damage to the nerves, for once eases off – which is terrific! But the flipping computer or internet plays up!

While on the computer, I found out I had been alive for 26,228 days, 3,747 weeks, 861 months, 37768321 minutes, 629472 hours, and 2266099348 seconds! Hehehe!

3Wed01aYet, still, I suffer ailments (Issues as used by the NHS departments who refused to tend to my toenail cutting and pediatric needs – no, I mean podiatry needs). I suffer from abasia, ischaemia, anxiousness, nervousness, equivocation, aquaphobia, ophidiophobia, I regularly get urine infections, insipience, I’ve overcome alcoholism, got inscience, get panic-attacks, absent-mindedness, and anandriousness. I stopped smoking, Arthur Itis, Shaking Shaun, Dizzy Dennis, Peripheral neuropathy, Lethologica, Axonotmesis, Have a metal/plastic ticker, never got beyond being a Prol, aboulomania, arithmophobia, atrial septal defect, duodenal ulcers, dysphoria, deafness, colour blindness, and prostate cancer. Bullied at school, been shot, generalised anxiety disorder (GAD), made redundant twice, loneliness, then had a stroke, lost mobility, balance, and coordination. And I was granted at birth, with the smallest most embarrassingly miniscule whatsit, anyone has ever seen! A source of total shame, embarrassment, awkwardness, mortification, self-consciousness, shame, humiliation, and shyness in my younger years. Thus the weltschmerz joins this list!

But you don’t like to complain does yer!

In between a few more LSPDOWWs (Long-Slow-Painfull-Drawn-Out-Wee-Wee) wee-wees, I got the Tuesday post finished and sent off to WordPress and emailed.

I took some photographs of the early fog, which soon turned to a light mist.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

I went to take the medications, do the health checks, and make a brew of tea. The flipping sphygmomanometer needed three tries to get it to take. The results all looked fair to me: Sia 95, Dia 71, Pulse 34.9, and Temperature at 34.8°c.

I sudden call to the Porcelain Throne arrived, so off to the wet room. I went there without the stick. Although pleased with how I coped, I knew it was a silly thing to do. If the leg and arm started doing their involuntary ‘Hokey-Cokey’, I could have been in trouble. I must remember, no matter how galling it seems, I must take the stick or trolley-guide with me everywhere I go indoors.

3Wed05a1I’d got the camera in my dressing gown pocket though, and decided to show you a picture of, possibly the most lethal piece of equipment in the apartment! Indeed, this month it has been, Hahaha!) The right big toe stubbing leg on the Red Cross provided second-hand used toilet seat raiser. I actually flinched as I took this photographicalisation! At the thought and memories of past-picklements and toe stubbings, I’ve had recently! Hehe!

Virg8 black

Grumphski!

Turned all off, swore, and went to get the ablutions done. I took my time and was careful, all went smoothly. Got smelling nice, then dressed and readied the trolley, etc. for setting out to the Doctors to beg for some Biprolalol Beta-Blockers.

WD 0.0.50 W Then a thought came to me, (it has been known before, although not very often). I think that Caroline and or Sonia is due today? So I decided to go down to the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights, Generaloberstesses Wardens Temporary HQ. WC, Holding cells. Rumourmongering Clinic. Sarcasm & Insult distribution area. Tenants Socialisationalistic zone. Telling Inchcock off thumbscrew room. Crockery and pottery to be stolen from location, and residents porta-cabin, and ask Obersturmführeress Warden and pole-dancer Deana, if she could phone them for me to be sure.

Just as I was about to go out, the landline light flashed. It was the surgery with the INR results and new doses. Took them down, thanked her and shot off out.

I got down and onto Chestnut Walk3Wed05a1a, and took a photo of the ‘Turf Accountant Gang’. The lads were laying the lawn in front of Woodthorpe Court.

T’was then I realised I had come out without the £2 second-hand rust-cased wristwatch. So back in, up in the lift and to the flat. I collected the watch.

Down and out again.

I met Sturmbannführeress Warden Deana as she arrived at the foyer door. I asked her, and she willingly called the Stroke Team for me. They were due today at 10:00hrs. I thanked Deana, and back in, up in the lift and to the flat, again.

I did of hoovering until both of the girls arrived…

WD 0.0.50 W On their last ever visit! (Gawd, life can be so cruel!) Sonia said she would have a talk with the nurse, to see if she can help sort out the tablet shortages for me. Caroline will refer me to an After-Stroke team who hold a weekly support group. The course will last for 18 weeks, and try to get me in the morning meetings.

The last farewells and cheerios with the ladies put me on a real downer!

Fed-up, I decided to catch the bus to anywhere! The mind mussed as I got things ready. I’ll go to Arnold, take some photographs, and get some pod peas. I was in a totally uninspired and dispiritingly dejected mood.

I was only half-with-it as I left the flats with the three-wheeled trolley-guide and shoulder bag with me.

WD 0.0.50 W I ambled out, not really with any oomph or gusto, just a determination to rid myself of the miserableness that had taken over my life, but no idea how to, and along to the bus stop.

WD 0.0.50 W A good crowd were at the bus stop, they were off for dinner at the cafe in Arnold. As I was handing out some nibbles, a chap came up with bad news: The Arnold bound L9 bus had broken down in town, and might not even get here at all! This would make a lot of folks late in getting to the diner. Many individual’s ideas, some people accepted lists from other tenants, some waited for the bus, others called for a taxi. Not a happy bunch of Winwoodonians at all! Oh, dear!

I pondered as I waited for the City bond L9 to arrive. And decided to go up to Woodborough Road on the bus, do some shopping, and made the penurious, masochistic decision to walk back down and through Woodthorpe Grange Park and nip in the Tropical gardens.

WD 0.0.50 W (Which proved to be one of my most painful ever mini-marathons, Humph!)

3Wed12

I made a full pictorial blog about this ill-fated, painful and miserable trip, and posted it the first computer task in the morning. https://gerrynottingham.blog/2019/06/20/72227/

3Wed01cI alighted the bus, and battled the scary traffic on my way first, to the greengrocers. Where I got some pod peas, not many, they were not in a very-fresh condition, toe big potatoes for Josie and me at the weekend, and some eggs.

Back out and I decided to catch a bus back down to the flats, as the feet and toes were particularly painful now.

I wandered down to see if the butcher had any cooked belly pork. He hadn’t, but I didn’t need it. The mood I was in probably had me yearning for some comfort food? All sorry for myself, pathetic!

WD 0.0.50 W But worse, as I came out of the shop, I stubbed my already-in-agony toe on the trolley wheels liting it done the step!

3Wed01dWD 0.0.50 W Then I had to stand pretending to take an interest in my surroundings and took a photograph, till the pain eased a bit. While I stood there, I saw the L9 bus go by early! Oy Vey!

Further dejected, I reverted to my plan to walk back down, through Woodthorpe Grange Park. I called in the mini-Sainsbury store en route and bought some oven-bottom-baked cobs, 3Wed01etomatoes and something else, can’t remember what at the moment.

I resorted the buys, and everything went in the shoulder bag, then into the trolley, well, I hung the container on the cart and set off on the marathon hobble home, down the steer Woodthorpe Drive hill.

WD 0.0.50 W I seemed to have gained the ability at, last, to stop the mind thinking, as I walked do3Wed01fwn the road, even when a pavement cyclist came up towards me, it didn’t really register. I was taking the shot to capture the speed-sign on the kerbside further down Woodthorpe Drive.

I kept stopping to ease the foot and toe, but by now, it didn’t bother me too much, and I have no idea why, but the discomfort was immense. And that’s not the right word either!

3Wed01gWD 0.0.50 W The humour returned home to me, a little further on down the road, as I took this photograph to use for a funny at some time in the future. Something like “I was not speeding with my three-wheeled trolley, here’s the proof!” Hehehe!

Down and around the bend, I arrived at the car park entrance, for the park. Hobbling through, I opted to take a rote to the Tropical Garden, 3Wed01hthat was new to me.

WD 0.0.50 W Crossing the car park into the fields and paths, I gave myself one hell of a good toe-stubbing against the broken road surface! I wish that I’d taken the four-wheeled-guide with me now, then I could have at least had a sit on it while I recovered. I imagine that the toe will be pretty… a bad word that let’s say well-blue by the time I get back home! Grumph! Gawd the pain is 3Wed01Kexcruciating!

WD 0.0.50 W After a while getting lost, I fond the entrance gates to the Garden Centre and Tropical Garden. And procedure through them, stubbing the toe against the broken roadway!

Now I really was getting irritated and annoyed with myself!

WD 0.0.50 W I found a low wall and had a sit-down… then got up as I realised ants were covering my feet and trouser legs… and stubbed the toe once again! To avoid embarrassment, I left this out of the Maraton Hobble blog! Oy Gevalt!

Just when, and the only time ever; I would have welcomed the damned leg doing one of its out-of-control hokey-cokey dance routines, it wouldn’t! I spent an age trying to painfully free myself of those invading ants, I’m not sure there are not some still in my pants!

3Wed01mAfter what seemed like a fortnight, I got myself at last moving again, gingerly, carefully and with a certain amount of trepidation, and briefly visited the Garden shop, nothing of interest in it for me.

Then, at last, I got to the Tropical House. Many more photographs in the dedicated blog near the top photo. The spectacles and camera lens misty-up with the heat. They must be in the middle of sorting things out afresh, cause man tree, bushes and flowers that were in there last time, had been uprooted. The bear had been moved too.

3Wed01ROn my leaving, I spotted the sign about the automatic door. If it’s automatic, why do you need to press the button to open it? Haha!

I made my way, not only in pain, but now feeling drained and tired, and a smidge of an annoying self-Pity-Mode came on.

The rest of the hobble-home seems to have a lot of detail from the brain?

3Wed12aa

3Wed10I know it was terribly painful.

Back at the hospital, no, home at last!

It looked like a ghost town.

I crossed over the road, in the lobby, up in the elevator, around to the flat and got in, with not a soul in sight.

Before doing anything, I had a wee-wee, a long smarting wee-wee! Washed, took a painkiller. Then got two eggs in the saucepan ready for boiling. Sliced and buttered the bottom-of-the-oven baps, and sliced some tomatoes.

Put the purchases away, and changed into my night attire.

3Wed11No fancy meals tonight, no time. I was in agony with both feet and the right big toe, and I wanted to stay awake long enough to watch the England Ladies match against Japan.

So, the battered haddock lump, two eggs, (disappointingly I’d bought the small eggs and not the double-yolk ones, Huh!). Tomatoes and put the eggs into a bap as I ate them! Too tired to be fussy tonight (well, this late afternoon) Although shattered, I ate it all and enjoyed it. A flavour-rating of 7.2/10 for this one.

Washed the pots and settled in the £300 second-hand, c1968, grotty-beige, rickety recliner. Hoping no one would phone or ring t3Wed12bhe doorbell.

I fell asleep and missed the beginning of the football match. I’m so glad they had won the game, but it was nerve-making.

Then I couldn’t get back to sleep.

Worra day!

Inchcock Today – Sunday 2nd June 2019: Exipotic wishes and hopes, came to nothing! Hehe!

2019 Mar 20

Sunday 2nd June 2019

Sunday 2nd June 2019

WD 0.0.0 03:45hrs. I woke, noticing I had still got the diabetic socks on, Humph! Three hours enjoyed, kip I estimated.

I remembered that neighbour Josie wanted her cheesy-potatoes meal today, instead of Saturday this week. The thinking through what was needed had to take a breather, due to a rather sudden need for the utilisation of the EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-wee bucket). I was pleased with my egress from the £300, second-hand, c1968, grungy-beige rickety recliner, and gaining my balance.

WD 0.0.0 The bucket, held in the right hand, shook all over the place as I tried to contain it steady. But it was no bother to use it! Was this a sign of things to come. While wee-weeing, the need to use the Porcelain Throne arrived! I got the stick and hobbled to the wet room. What a session! Hard, painful and a long time coming, needing much forcing, too. Phwert!

7Sun11aI decided to leave the slept in socks on until later in the day, and set about hand-washing the extra-large, warm, long-sleeved shirt. I used the liquid soapflakes from Wilko and added some of their freshener granules. Hung it up over the sink to dry, as I usually do, with carefully placed pots to catch the drips falling from the hanger.

I got the medication morning dosage-pot made up last night put ready, it’s too early to take them yet, but seeing the pot near the computer, should remind me later.

I got the computer on, and the moment I tried typing, I realised my idea of letting the fingernails grow longer, to hopefully help with the electric-shock-like shakes, was not working at all.

WD 0.0.0 So, I set about with the nail-clippers to cut back the nails. Which proved to be extraordinarily portentous and yet annoying at the same time! The right-hand nails, using the left hand, took me about three minutes to do. The right hand, using the right-hand, took me ten minutes to complete. How I managed without cutting any flesh was impressive. Smug-Mode-Adopted!

7Sun02I then purposely took a photo from the new unwanted, light & view-blocking, thick-framed, with glass panes to clean that need a step-ladder and one that cannot be reached at all windows. To see if I could hold the camera steady enough. The answer was, No! I had to rest the Canon, as best I could on the impossible to clean and warped inside of the window frame to get a decent shot.

I changed the setting on the Canon to S=small for the pictures. But they are still coming out massive?

WD 0.0.0 Back to the computerisationing again. What a farce! So much for cutting the nails helping things. All over the place, the fingers, as soon as the tip-ends touch anything. Terrible enough on the keyboard, but the camera is taking endless time to get focussed, too! Humph! Wee’d-Off-Mode adopted! Hehehe!

I made a start on finishing off the Saturday blog. I was hard work, time-consuming and with a bedevilling, irksomeness annoyingness. Grrr!

WD 0.0.0 As I put the kettle on again, I had to go for a Porcelain Throne visit (Two?). And what a dissimilitude to the earlier session. It was of egregariously massive proportions, soppy, wet, and messy beyond apprehension, this time! I actually sat having a go at the crossword book, while waiting for the action to terminate! As soon as it did, a wee-wee of record length followed immediately! Then there was the time and effort needed to clean things up! Still, I did get a few clues answered in the crossword. (Alright, one clue, Tsk! Haha! Gawd knows why I’m laughing!

7Sun15The sunshine was out, and the shadows forming as it came from behind. So, I took a picture from the new unwanted, light & view-blocking, thick-framed, with glass panes to clean that need a step-ladder and one that cannot be reached at all kitchen windows. While making yet another brew to replace the one that went cold while I was on the Porcelain Throne.

WD 0.0.0 The pictures were still coming out massive, I checked on the Canon, the S setting showed up as being set. I must be doing something wrong? Nothing new there, then!

Late, very late, I got the blog updated and sent off. Made a cuppa for the one that went cold again. Took the morning medications and made up the pot for tonight’s doses.

Made a start on this post – and yet again had to return to the Porcelain Throne. Oh, dearie me! A complete repeat of the second visit. Perhaps even messier, and I didn’t get any answers in the crossword either!

WD 0.0.0 I did notice that the pins were not in such a good a condition as yesterday. Nowt new in that, they are always changing, every day. I’d not got the camera with me, so I cleaned the place up, by the way, the aroma I left behind this last visit was putrid! Just thought I’d mention it, in case any Doctors read this post, who might like to offer some advice, on Arthur Itis, Williams Water-Retention, Alberts Axonotmesis. Allan’s Ataxia, Terry’s Transient ischaemic stroke, or Peter’s Peripheral neuropathy, free of course. Hehe!

7Sun01I returned to the front room and took a picture of the legs. Lumpy, blotchy and the sock-rings showing where I’d forgotten to take them off. The fluid retention looked a lot less, and for once, the legs seemed to be the same size. The paleness doesn’t show, cause this room is darker, I think. Unless it the new camera?

I rang out the hanging shirt, and once more made a brew, to replace the one that had gone cold again. Tsk! Got the potatoes in the oven for later.

Started this post off proper. I stopped computerisationing, to get the ablutions tended to. Back in a bit…

WD 0.0.0 I got somewhat discomposed, and woolgatheringly lost the plot a bit. And found myself, with rediculous-timing, considering I was about to take a shower and shave; set about hand-washing the bath towel! Left it to soak a bit further, when the stupidity of my actions hit me. Muttered some words of self-admonishment, and went off to get the ablutions done – but again got side-tracked and called at Josie’s door and rang the bells. To make sure she was in and ready for her Cheesy-potato meal around 12:30hrs, but no answer.

7Sun18I got the ablutions tended to, with an interruption for a marathon wee-wee. Possibly as long as the one eight wee-wees ago. Hahaha! I enjoyed the shower etc. despite dropping the soap and fresh air spray.

The pins were looking better, and possibly with a little more blood in them? Fingers crossed!

Got redressed, and called to see Josie, no answer again. Oh dear!

I took three bags to the waste bin on the three-wheeled trolley and rang Josie’s door on the way back. Still no answer.

7Sun19I wrang out the bath towel out much as I could manage, and put it on the airer to dry, slowly of course, and it will need turning often, to make sure it all dries out properly.

Back on the computer, and Josie rang my bell. Said she was in the shower. The good news, if I can get the timing right, 12:30hrs would be fine for her meal to be delivered.

I updated this diary a bit and then got on with cheesifying the potatoes and into the husks. Back in the oven to brown them off.

I spotted two people with two little dogs, from one of the houses in the lower field, using the cut through. I took a distance shot and zoomed in to take a picture of them as they entered the house. The first time I’ve seen it used since it was upgraded. I wonder why other householders don’t make one. It must save a hell of a lot of walking?

7Sun20

I put the above on the computer, went for a wee-wee, and then it was time to check the cheesy-spuds progress, 12:05hrs.

7Sun38Got the nosh for Josie served up; Tuna chunks, tomatoes and some glorious looking cheesy-potatoes. I took it to her door, but got no answer, oh dearie me, again!

I returned to my place, disappointed that I cannot keep it warm, the potatoes shrivelled when I tried it last week.

Back to Josies, no answer again. Getting frustrated now.

2019 Mar 2Checked on my nosh (cheesy-potatoes) in the oven, and turned them down. Back to Josie’s, and she answered. Phew! Handed her the meal on the tray, and wished her happy eating. Then, back to the apartment and served up my dollop. And tucked into it. I didn’t make to big a nosh this time, and ate it all, along with a sourdough baguette, that I did leave some of.

During which, Josie rang the door bells, chiming out the tune of Dusty Springfield’s ‘I only want to be with you!’, to return the tray, cutlery and plate. It seems she liked it, and she gave me a tin of tuna chunks to use for next week.

I finished the fodder and washed my pots. Still early, but I took the medications and got settled in the £300 almost mediaeval rickety-recliner, to get some sleep in and catch-up. Of course, my plans failed miserably. I ended up watching some rubbish on the TV, and even that failed to find sleep for me. Huh!

Inchcock Today – Wednesday 29th May 2019: Busy day, yet little done!

May 29

Wednesday 29th May 2019

Welsh: Dydd Mercher 29 Mai 2019

03:45hrs: I woke with some kind of galvanisation of the mind! Suddenly I was in the mood to excogitate things and events around me. The brain and body seemed more alive today!

I soon realised that I had had a fantastic sleep. Last night I drifted off to sleep almost straight away. I woke up three hours later for a wee-wee, and got back down again, and blessedly slept for another six hours! Around 540 minutes! Sounds a lot more this way, Hehe!

When I woke again, in need of another wee-wee, I felt like this, as if I’d taken a drug or something, and felt as if I could face anything today! Perspicaciousness was visiting me it seemed, anyway. Why and how remains an abditive.

I began to think through the needs of the day, using logic, oh, yes! But was interrupted by the need for another wee-wee. The EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-wee bucket) was utilised. Again of the SSWW (Short-Sharp-Wee-wee) variety. During which, a summoning from the innards, for a Porcelain Throne visit arrived. So, off I limped to the wet room. I realised that I had stupidly not taken the Ankle-Support-Strapping off last night. But then again, I did nod-off and get some delightsome sleep in, so on balance, I got a better bargain for once.

Then things all changed. My outlook, hopes, and confidence all took an instant beating, and the earlier optimism faded away into the ether.

WD 0.31.0 GC blue f03The evacuation was no more bothersome than the last, perhaps a little easier indeed. But, as I standing-up, the right leg went into one of its Hokey-Cokey jumping sessions. While this caused no physical injuries whatsoever; I did manage to knock just about everything off of one of the floor cabinet. Toilet rolls (One of which plopped straight into the WC!), a jar of Cetraben, a tube of Savlon cream, a fresh air spray, a kitchen towel and a pack off PP’s. There was probably more stuff. Picking it up, I got myself more and more wound up! Gruffunbotherations!

3Wed001WD 0.31.0 There would be no showering today. With my leaving on the Ankle-Supports, I just left them on, socks as well. But I’ll have to get a shower this afternoon, somehow. A quick shot of the legs revealed their usual pale whiteness and anaemic appearance. Also, some more fluid retention. I dare not take any Furesomides without the Doctors say so, though.

I was calming down a bit now, I’d let the 3Wed01Accifauxpa with the dancing leg get to me.

I eventually got around to doing the health checks and sorting the medications out. The readings all seemed fair enough to me.

Took the medicines with some spring water, then I made another mug of tea, the 99 Co-op one this time.

3Wed06Got the computer going, and checked that I had put the dentist appointment on the calendar.

WD 0.31.0 However, I had put it on (Although I was not sure and did have the foggiest of how I did it), and could not get the original default view back to the weekly view afterwards for love nor money. I still don’t know how I did it, but it went back anyway. Phwert, what a schlemiel!

WD 0.31.0 As I went on the WordPress Reader, the fingers became electrified again, and started to shake, every time the ends touched anything, and lost feeling at the same time. So, typing and CorelDrawing was damned hard work. More time was spent correcting mistakes than the actual typing. Grumph!

What had started as a surprisingly hopeful day, was turning into a frustrating day.

I made a stumbling, annoyingly messy start to the Tuesday blog updating. Persistence paid off, and I got it finished, with naively hoping there were not too many errors in it and sent off to WordPress.

3Wed05a1WD 0.31.0 I went to have a stand-up wash before the Morrison delivery arrived. I had a toe-stubbing again against the leg of the toilet-riser. It’s incredible how painful this was! Of course, the untreated corns and callous suffered as well!

The Morrison man came and, I let him in. A biggish order this week.

3Wed05a1aI thanked him and soon had the fridge and freezer fully restocked with various delights to meet my coenaculous nature and phagomania. I even bought a sweet & sour ready-made meal amongst the picking, and the treat of the month, or longer, some Boczek cooked bacon!

The following happening, I felt like could have been a scene from Red Dwarf, Only Fools & Horses, or a Faulty Towers comedy!

WD 0.31.0 3Wed08I was going to get the chestnut mushrooms in the crock-pot.

As I lifted the pot out of the cooker, a flash emitted! And it was not connected, well, the power was turned off!

I picked up the whole contraption, and two of the three legs came out and shattered on the floor! I decided it had to go! And threw it in the bin. Luckily, I had another one in the spare room, that I abandoned a couple of years ago, but cannot remember why I did so?

3Wed10The thing slipped from my limited grasp as I took it to the black bag bin. I gladly photographed it, picked it up, and got it in the bag. I went and got the other one, washed it, and set it up. Sliced the somewhat jaded looking mushrooms that Morrison had just delivered, and got them in the new cooker. With distilled vinegar and basil, on a low setting.

The mystery of the slow-cooker flashing and dying will remain with me a while yet. Frit me that did! Hehe!

A fair bit of banging and drilling going on somewhere today. The fire sprinkler installation, I assume.

3Wed04Sister Jane rang about the Evening Post printing about Winwood Heights. I see they choose not to show it in its usual disorganised, no available footpath mode. Winwood Heights Article link.

The view outside was worthy of a photographicalisation before we lose the shadows.

Virgin Internet went down Again! I can’t save anything. Publish owt… Oh, it’s so frustrating! As if it wasn’t bad enough with the shaking fingers. I may have to consider packing in the blog. The last thing I want to do, though, but it is getting such hard work. No, I can’t see myself doing that yet. As the leg and shaking get worse, I’ll have to review the situation, I suppose. (Depressed At The Very Thought Mode Adopted()

Ah, the internet is back on, damned slow, but it’s going.

Then after I’d posted the diary off, for some reason when I got up today’s post, the formatting had gone all to pot. WordPress’s turn to piss me off! No space between paragraphs and a different font altogether? I turned off and back on again, and it was the same. The other blog template was okay? I had to bin it and start again, then everything seemed alright with the new one?

Why is it that this Wednesday is so hostile to me? Antagonistic, unkind, inhospitable, inimical, and adversarial toward me? What have I done to deserve such an oppugnant day? Will things improve, will the shaking stop? Silly questions, the answer is in the hands of anyone but me! Feeling sorry-for-myself-mode engaged!

I got on with this blog at last. The day is flying and not a lot achieved.

Waleska, the INR Nurse, arrived,  to take the blood. She was on a tight schedule but managed to have a few words not connected with medial matters. Which was nice. She couldn’t stay long and had to move on shortly, bless her ♥.

The afternoon already, and tiredness was taking its toll on me. No blue egg tried either. Hehe!

3Wed12aaI took some bags down to the mobile phonist’s… I mean, caretaker’s door. Got the oven on for some sausages, and plan to have them with a blue egg and baked beans? In the end, I had a tin of vegetable sausages and beans with the mushrooms and a blue egg. Overall, a taste rating of 7.5/10. The blue eggs were a little bland tasting,

I shan’t buy them again.

Virgin5

Not for long this time, but annoying. Thank’s Mr Fries!

I gave up on it and got my head down. But it was a pointless effort, the brain filled with worries, fears, and failures from the past again.

So, I took off the Ankle-Support and washed it, along with a jumper and pair of bamboo socks.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

I tried again to get some sleep but lie there with the brain reactivated in self-destruct mode.

3Wed12bGot up for one of the SSWWs. The bucket was now again, half-full already!

I got down again, gone midnight already, Tsk!

The legs seemed to have gone down a bit, fluid retention-wise. But they remain deathly pale.

I unexpectedly drifted off, and I woke at 03:40hrs after three and a bit hours. In desperate need of a wee-wee. Humph!

Inchcock Today – Sunday 18th March 2018

Sunday 18th March 2018

Icelandic: Sunnudagur 18 Mars 2018

0300hrs: No need for me to waken and wait for the brain to join the body this morning. I didn’t have any sleep last night at all. Depressingly, my night’s activities were: Watching the platitudinous, banal TV, listening to Herbert in the flat above banging about and getting up now and then to take a photograph of the snow. Sad, or what?

Off to the kitchen to do the Health Checks and take the medications.

-3°c outside, and it felt the same inside. And, I can hear you asking how is that then. This is because this old fart left the window open when he took his last picture hours ago! Humph!

I took these two photographs of the conditions outside. It looked a bit bleak. Another day of hibernating and vegetating indoors methinks. There are no buses anyway on a Sunday. Mind you, if there were, I don’t think they would get up or down the Winchester Street Hill anyway. My mind seemed to be concentrating on the negative side of things and life this cold morning.

I made a brew in the small mug, and I had some extra milk in it than usual, because Duodenal Donald was giving me some terrible stick.

The fears and worries in my confused brain were natatorial, flashing and annoying me. Because I was not in a frame of mind, to concentrate very well. I expect this was due to the total lack of sleep.

I started on finishing off yesterday’s diary. Got it completed and posted off, then the sudden grumbling and rumbling in the innards forced me to the Porcelain Throne; and what a session it was. So much blood from Harold’s Haemorrhoids and Little inchies Lesion, it startled even me for a while. Deep red and lots of it. Medication and cleansed thing up. Duodenal Donald continued with such enthusiasm, I began to feel a bit atrabilious, and the stomach started to feel… what’s the word for it? Delicate, with a new to me, aching just below the belly button. It felt tight, yet wobbly. No that isn’t the words. Tsk!

I wonder if Noisy Herbert above will start with his banging and knocking about again today? Silly question, of course, he will, it’s the weekend!

Off to the kitchen to make a brew. Knocking things like the tray, bottles of vinegar and sauce and the crock-pot off of the counter as went in. Purely luck, that they fell into the rubbish bins, thus saving any noise to upset my neighbours. No question about my worrying about Herbert above, sometimes I wish I could make return noises that just affect him. But not this morning, I have no energy left to waste on hatred or revenge.

No question about it, I’m feeling snarky, ratty, and crotchety with myself. I’m a grumpy lad indeed.

Had a wee-wee. Made another brew.

I got this post started off.

Returned to the kitchen, with a feeling of dread that I might have left the tap (faucet) running in the sink. Thankfully all was okay and no calamities.

I took a picture o this rather picturesque scene of one of the roads opposite.

It looked like no one had been walking on the snow in this road. Ramsdale Crescent I think it is named. If anyone has to go out from there, they may have troubles. Mind you, it might thaw out quickly yet?

I did notice down below, somebody had had the pleasure of being the first person to walk along Chestnut Walk.

I went to Facebooking next. Praying that it will not freeze on me again.

Virgin Media Internet Down Again! As Tim Price, cleverly put it in an email to me: “Virgin should just give you an Internet voodoo kit with pigeon feathers, monkey blood, sparrow bones, an eye of newt and bat guano to use for incantations, hocus pocus and giving your router a magical stink eye. It’s more fun than simply unplugging, waiting five minutes and all that stuff.”

Turned everything off and rebooted to see if that would help me get back on the internet supplied and increased in charge five times by Virgin Media!

Tried resetting without any luck, still two blue lights not lit on the box.

Unplugged the unreliable, unconcerned cause they still take the money each month Virgin box. Left it a few minutes and replugged it and turned on again. Nothing. Well, fancy that. Hehehe, I like it!

A wee-wee and I stewed wondering how I could get my own back at the Cable Cowboys Liberty Global who lassoed Virgin Media with a huge £15bn deal. They also have bought Formula 1 racing business, All3Media (50% ownership with Discovery Communications) ITV plc (United Kingdom) (9.9% shareholding). Deep breath: Lionsgate (12% ownership with Discovery Communications), Telenet (Belgium) (58% ownership), Viceland Belgium (a joint venture with Vice Media), UPC Broadband, UPC Austria, UPC Czech Republic, UPC Magyarország (Hungary). Virgin Mobile UK (United Kingdom), Virgin Media Ireland (Republic of Ireland), TV3 Group, Virgin Mobile (Ireland), VodafoneZiggo (50% ownership). Vodafone Netherlands, Viceland Netherlands (a joint venture with Vice Media), Ziggo, Ziggo Sport, Ziggo Sport, Totaal Markets. Liberty Puerto Rico, a provider of pay TV, Internet, and telephone services, CWC’s operations in Seychelles, named Cable and Wireless Seychelles. Or rather, billion-billionaire top Chairman, Michael T Fries, who earns $111.9million a year. And that is only from one of his companies. Naturally, he must get expenses as well and besides.

I wonder if he is even aware of the pathetic performance and demoralised staff and customers since his take-over? Potato cakes with cheese and tomatoes baked, sliced apple, beetroot, BBQ nibbles, red onion, pork pie with crust removed (The weight you know? Haha!), roast courgettes, parsnip and peppers. Lemon Mousse to finish off with. Mmm! Wish I could have made one for my TFZers to dine with me. Humph!

https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.virginmedia.com I’ve read on Trust Pilot about people trying to cancel contracts with this esurient gentleman’s company.

Anyway, after deciding I can’t get my revenge on him, and typing this little monologue above about his crap service, I felt a tad better. Not as good as if could have found him and eliminated him, mind, but a little cheerier, just at the thought. Then, it came back on! Hurrah! Back to semi-sanity.

Back to finish off on Facebook. Problems in importing photos now! Had to give up on it. Tsk!

Hello! Noisy Herbert in the flat above is at it again. Scraping noises, banging too.

To WordPress Reader next. Then the comments.

Had another go on Facebooking. Stuttery and slow, but got a lot done, it just took me hours to get done. Humph!

Duodenal Donald was terribly bothersome again. Settled to watch some TV. Watched the Wigan v  Southampton Cup match. Well, when I had not nodded off that is. Great game.

Did the Health Checks.

Did the ablutions and medicalisationing without too much bother.

Got the nosh prepared.

Fresh pork knuckle, chips, tomatoes, red onion, sugar snap peas, apple slices and a Lemon Mousse. (It may appear that I’m consuming lemon desserts a lot lately? That’s cause it is still on offer price). The orange juice was not touched for some reason.

Ah, I remember now, I fell asleep! Tsk!
