Monday 04:30hrs: After another abysmal night’s lack of sleep, I gave up. and had, between them, given me the third sleepless night in a row. The Angina was the worst it’s ever been. A series of reasons, of course, are all confusing.
Who can we blame, then?
Well, on first thoughts, they were the people who assured me that they would be handling, ordering, fetching, monitoring and issuing the prescriptions.
But let’s be fair to them. They lost the Carer who did most of the monitoring, that was , taken ill last Monday. The poor lad was going to return today, they thought, but it seems he is still incapacitated. I wish I could contact him to see how he’s going on. Pound to a penny, his Diabetes-2 is involved in some way. (I later found out it wasn’t… Big Gob!)
Did the Doctor inform the pharmacy about the doubling of the Ann Gyna tablets (Omeprazole)? Did the chemist forget about them? Personally, I blame the Parole Board!
After wee-weeing and two, I say two visits in the following fifteen minutes, I got the health Checks done. BP and all that rigmarole.
Oh, dearie, me, back up to Hypertension-2. A shame that. I suspect that the lack of Omeprazole for the Angina and the lack of sleep had some bearing?
Got the blog updated and posted off to WordPress. Then I Pinterested some pictures.
I went to make a brew of Thompson’s Punjana. And took three pictures out of the kitchenette window, which had roughly the same view.
The top one was in Auto+ mode, the second in Auto, and the third one was taken in Night Scene mode.
None of them came out as I would have liked. And I’ve learnt nothing from this little experiment… Other than when I reach up to turn the window handle, the pain shot right around the back into the… I think the kidney or bowel area.
A quick swearing session and the need for yet another visit to the overused this morning.
The session was again in full control of Trotsky Terence. Got the ablutions done while in there. A stand-up job; too early to use the noisy shower.
Finally got a brew made and got an email that came in from Iceland.
Minutes later, I was back, seated on the Porcelain Throne. A heck of a messy job this one was. I was cleaning it when a carer came in. I asked about the Omeprazole 20mg. But she didn’t know and could not help me get in touch with Richard.
arrived and gave me the medications. We spoke, and she is going to ask about the prescription situation for me.
Then. the DVT Warfarin nurse arrived; it was Hristina.
She soon got the blood taken. The IRN result form has not arrived from last Monday yet – Postal Strike and work to rule in the UK, don’t you know. Railway workers, NHS Nurses and power workers are all to follow. Oh, dear!
That was followed by the Iceland delivery arriving.
I struggled to get the bags into the hallway.
The treat bottles were put in the 1963-built, falling to pieces, Hopewell’s E-Plan Sideboard, with the doors falling off.
A shame Richard has not got back to work, but better safe than sorry.
I still think his Diabetes-2 is part of his problem. All the best to him.
Thanks for caring for me, my mate! Keep safe!
I got the coffee treats and what should have been Richards into the fridge.
If the lad can’t get back to work, I’ll have to hand the burgers and meals to someone else. Gawd! is persistent this morning! Oh, it’s nearly teatime!
Came back, and she’s got the prescriptions for me. ♥ UNFORTUNATELY: They’s only sent one box of Omeprazole – with a difference. They were 25ml and not 30 like the last ones, white, not yellow, and with a new name;Lansoprazole”
Came; I can’t remember why.
I had a phone call from Easy-Link to confirm they have booked a lift in the morning at 10:00hrs. For me to go to the Doctor’s. Grrreat!
I got a call from Easy-Link, to confirm the lift in the morning to the Doctors… well, nurses’ appointments at the Surgery.
Better get something to eat, then. Vegan sausages, tomatoes with basil, rolls… I’ll go and see what is available. I made a decent meal, but I took a photo of it, and it is not on the SD card. This is not surprising now, as I found I’d left it on the computer.
Came in. I was still groggy from sleep. But did notice the lad was still not looking or sounding very well. Croaky voice, coughing a lot, too.
He checked on the medical draw, and we spoke a lot... but most if what was said had gone into the ether.
I should see him in the morning.
Oh, I’m going to see the nurses Tuesday… pick-up is at 10:00hrs, I mustn’t forget.
05:00hrs: So, another waking up all the time, night. I’m fed up with these now! Still, it could be worse! Rose for a wee-wee, with both PMD (Pre-Micturition-Dribbling) and PMAD (Post-Micturition-After Dribbling). A bit of a job to sort me and things out afterwards! Sorted the waste bags. Had another wee-wee. Put the kettle on to make a brew of Glengettie. I was going to get the ablutions done to freshen things up but thought being as I keep forgetting to do the Health Checks regularly, I do them first while it was in my memory-challenged mind. So, I did! The pulse was fine again, for five days on the trot now.
Although the NHC analyser had put me in the red area again, it was so close to the amber; I was content with the result this morning. But it would have been nice to see it in amber on the graph.
I’ve had some results in the greens over the past week, which is nice.
Got the ECG to go for tomorrow. I still can’t work out why I’ve had to have a blood test and now the ECG, as apparently demanded by the Mind Hospital; the appointment with them is not until January? Still, I’m glad I got one. Off to the wet room, I trotted with the clothing needed. I had to utilise the first. I could have made a marathon tale of what took place, but haven’t the time now. Suffice it to say nuggets, pain and pong. Somehow, I realise it now when typing this, but I forgot to clean my teeth again. (Fear of bleeding gums?) Then, having the shave did not go so well this morning. It was due mainly to , she’s been good lately to me as well, but her cunning timing today ensured that I gleaned many cuts of varying degrees from the razors. Now’t really serious, though. During the stand-up body wash, I needed two more wee-wees? No blasters; they were all of the SSAO (Sprinkly-Spraying-All-Over) variety. Got dressed (No socks, why risk injury using when your not going out?) And made a mug of Glengettie, and went onto the computer, to update the Monday blog. The Norton Virus started a check, and for once, I watched the progress. Confused me more than helped. I just can’t get my head around anything that is new or has changed. to blame? I’d let the tea go cold, so ventured into the kitchenette to get the kettle on again… Guess what? I’d left the hot tap running yet again. idiot, dumbo, twit… take your choice!
Still, I managed to take a couple of photographs that didn’t come out too bad. Not that that dissolved any feeling of guilt. Self-hatred, or simply feeling shame, at leaving the tap running.
l went back to the grind of blogging and making little progress other than to amend mistakes that I had made earlier on.
The tea went cold again! Back to make another, and the haze had cleared a little. Back with the brew to the front room.
I got the Lumix and took these to slightly clearer pictures through the glass on the balcony. Almost reluctantly, I got on with blogging. Because I was making such a mess of things, and I just carried in in the same way again, I’m not feeling too good here, as you may have noticed. Hehe!
Arrived, he was not looking too good at all. His ticker was racing, and he looked drained. This worried me, I asked if I should call an ambulance, but he said no. The poor lad was not food at all. The session was lost to my concerns, can’t be sure, but I think he helped me with the paperwork… I’m just not sure. I walked with him to the door and wished him well. If he turns up tomorrow, I’ll be surprised; I’m concerned for him.
That put the mockers on everything after that. Couldn’t concentrate on anything at all. I believe I had a turn myself then. Cause at around 14:30hrs, it was as if I woke up, wondering what I’d been doing. I vaguely remember Josie returning the plates and things. Not much else. The oven was on, with nothing in it. Which I put to rights and got some potato Rostis in it.
I burnt my right index finger on the oven! Doesn’t look much, but it hurts like hell! Can’t type now; the finger is so tender to touch for typing. Odd, that?
Going to have to try again later.
Wednesday updating of this post, from the scribble pad: Dementia Doreen is withholding the actual memories. So, not much detail, I’m afraid. Found this graphic in the diary file. Can’t recall making it? Dated for today, mind you?
I do recall this rather sad-looking meal that I made. Two sourdough baps, six potato-Rostis. A liberal portion of BBQ sauce for sipping into. And a pot of the soya lemon yoghourt. But I did enjoy it, and I spotted a scribbled 8.4/10 on the notepad. Which I assumed to be the taste rating given?
Must have some rain then.
Naturally, I was trying to watch a ‘Heartbeat’ episode again. I was soon woken up, though. Appeared, and we soon had the medications done. I was waffling again, Tsk! Went with her to the door (I know this because it was locked this morning). Carolynne took the waste bag with her, and I locked the door.
Tried to watch the second episode of ‘Heartbeat’. Zzz!
Last night, well, this morning, at about 00:30hrs, I burst awake in needing a wee-wee. Wretchedly, I suffered one of my longest-ever Post-Micturitional (PMD) dribbles; It came and looked like stopping more times than I have fingers on my hands, but it didn’t! When it eventually stopped, I was wide awake. You tend to wake up after ten minutes of cursing and talking to Little Inchie under your breath! I think I passed more urine in the oh, so slow after-dribble than I did in the main event. I took the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee-Bucket) and emptied it in the WC, washed the container, disinfected it well and sprayed some Dettol in it – then returned it to its usual standing place, which has no obstructions or anything to fall over getting to it in an emergency or hurry.
Off to the kitchenette, pleased to note that the taps were both off, not left running, no parts of the stove were turned on, the slow cooker was also turned of, and the fridge and freezer doors were shut. . Aha, a decent start to the day, then! I thought I’d celebrate by making a mug of Thompson’s Signature Blend tea for myself. I soon got distracted by the pretty lights on view through the kitchen window, though. I knocked the kitchen roll holder off of the ledge, opening the window to take a look. As I got down to retrieve the loose mass of paper towels and the broken-in-two wooden roll holder, I had a rare (recently, anyway), attack from . He’s not visited me for weeks now… but he’s back! I stuck the spindle into the base of the holder and hoped for the best. Shaun only persisted for a couple of minutes, but had anyone seen him, they would be a bit weary of me; he could shake me a bit viciously at times.
I took four shots of the beautiful night scenery. The second one came out a bit blurry, but I took it again, and it came out just fine. once again!
As if was in need of support in giving me hassle when I was closing the windows, joined in the ‘Give-it-to-Inchie onslaught!’ She stayed for ages! I took a guzzle of the Pentac medicine to calm her down. It didn’t!
I took the tea to the computer and started her up… Of course, it wasn’t a surprise to see the Liberty-Global, Virgin Media, go down before my very eyes. If you are an unlucky customer with them, you tend to expect it to be down than be available. Humph!
With number-cruncher, flimflam, hokum, smoke & mirrors man, Mike Fries in charge, what else can you expect? On his pathetic, paltry $23.6 million pay packet per year. Spit! But this man’s inability to run an internet service that works does not bother me at all, really. It’s just jealousy!
Rang came in and presented me with a whiteboard with a pen and eraser attached. How kind of him! We got the medications sorted out, and Richard checked the medicine drawer. He’s got an extra call today to do yet, so couldn’t stay too long. But we had a natter and laugh, I gave him his bagged-up Monday treats, and off he went, taking the three waste bags with him as he departed. Thanks, Richard!
Into the kitchen, I wobbled.
Got the vinegar and salt mixes made up and re-bottled.
Then it came to me… Things do that occasionally, you know… not very often, I admit! But with making an error on the Cataracts day on Saturday, I’d moved the Asda order to Thursday, so it didn’t clash – which it doesn’t now; I decided to get a Morrison order in with Amazon for later today, so as long as they have them in stock, I can get some bread, washing-up liquid, flowers for the Wardens treats, tonic water, tomatoes and Thompson’s Signature tea bags in. Oh, and some potatoes.
Aha! Liberty-Global Virgin Internet was back working! Not a lot of people can say that! Hehehe! Finally, I got on with updating the Sunday blog. Posted it off and did some Pinteresting of the photos. Then started this template creationing. Into the afternoon now, and I’m miles behind. No one from Meridian Health & Care has gotten in touch with me as I asked them to. Still, they may come later. I gave Deana a ring and got her this time. She will kindly call later. I’ve got to ring her when and if the flowers arrive, and she’ll take a look at the Cataract’s letter for me. She will ring Easy-Link to see if they will make a card account for me. Nice!
Photograph loading and I found this picture on the SD card. Apparently, another Shaking Shaun or Peripheral Pete prompted an accidental shot to be taken. I know where I took it, but why is a mystery. Methinks another accidental one?
I went into the kitchen, and because I could not remember why I had made the trip into the kitchenette, I took this photo of the now brighter day from the window.
The intercom buzzed before I could remember why I was standing there, and it was the Amazon delivery of Morrison’s food arriving.
A nice young man who was patient with me. He made two trips up the lift for me so as not to squash the food. I think the Asda deliverymen feel obligated to split-open packets, and dented cans and ensure that the bleach is leaking!
There were just two items unavailable They only had one pack of curried chips, and I’d forgotten what the other thing was, but I know that I wasn’t bothered about it. Very pleased that they had the baking potatoes in stock. They looked okay, not battered and bruised. I could have said Not like Asda. Hehe!
The tomatoes were from the Netherlands. Not like the near-poisonous Spanish Asda ones. ILC (Independent Living Coordinator), Oberstgrüppenfuhreress, Warden and Primo Ballerina, Warden Deana, arrived to help me with the mammoth, many double-sided sheets of Cataract details and instructions.
The gal was getting phone calls all the time. But she coped magnificently well with it all. And still sorted me out with the things that I needed to take with me. Told me to ask Meridian’s bossess, Tina, if she could supply a list of medications I’m currently taking. I’ve to take it with me to the QMC. It seems that this visit is for two more assessments and not for the operation. That’s five assessments I’ve already had, and it will be six on the 9th of November… No seven!
She really is a treasure, our Deana. I don’t know how she copes with all the problems from the clients, lifts breaking down, taps and leaks, yobboes breaking into the place, repairs etc. And now she has another Vascular Dementia sufferer that needs more help than ever. ♥
❶ Deana made a list of things I need to take with me to the hospital. ❷ She rang the QMC, and Deana arranged an NHS lift for the 9th of November. ❸ Arranged an Easy-Link lift for 10:00hrs in the morning, 1st of November, at 10:00hrs ❹ She’s awaiting an answer from Easy-Link to see if I can open an account with them. All without breaking into a sweat – Worra Gal! ♥
Gave her the Warden’s flowers; I get some whenever I can early each week as a special thank you. Then five minutes after she had left, my Nokia 9 Pureview Mobile, with its Android (Pie) updateability, Corning Gorilla Glass 5, Octa-Core Gold CPU, 4K@30fps, 1080p@30fps, HDR video, USB Type-C 3.1, %x12 MP. 28mm Camera, Bluetooth, A-GPS, Fingerprint (under display, optical), accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer, Li-Po 3320 mAh, non-removable, fast charging 18W, Quick Charge 3.0, USB Power Delivery. Fast wireless charging 10W – with Qi Battery… rang. here?
❺ It was Deana, to tell me that Easy-Lift had given me an account. FANTASTIC! No more searching around and struggling to find the cash to pay them! ❻ Deana has saved the day for me again! I am currently now feeling more content than I have been for months! (The last time that Deana rescued a bad situation for me!) ♥.
In celebration, I put the oven on to make some chips and sausages to have with some of the Sourdough bread and BBQ sauce later on! I’ll watch Heartbeat and eat them… Oh, the chips were the other thing not available at Morrisons. They sent battered onion rings. They’ll do me. Anne Gyna seems to be settling; I took an extra Omeprazole while Deana was here.
Back in the morning or later tonight, we’ll see to update things. It’s morning. Update:
A right mixed bag of a meal tonight. Bad, worse and horrible contents of the plate! The beer-battered onions substitute sent for curried chips were Horrid! Greasy as heck, with rock-hard batter and runny onions inside. I did eat a few of them, proving my sadistic side! Haha! Is that the right word? Imitation sausage burgers, tasteless, dry and pointless! The tomatoes were nice, though. The sourdough bread was tasty enough, dipped in the unpleasantly, too strongly flavoured HP BBQ sauce. The lemon yoghourt was weak and watery. So, thank heavens for the tomatoes and bread. Overall Flavour-Rating: A too generous 4/10. Been belching all night after this meal!
Came in, stirring me back into a life of sorts. When I mentioned that Meridian bossess Tina had not called, Sam said, Yes, she’s been busy. She’ll call tomorrow if she gets time. I explained that I had to go to Doctor for the Frailty Test Review results on Tuesday. Sam said she could come in the afternoon, maybe? I said I had no idea how long the appointment would take, and it might involve another department being sent to. Sam said she’d ask Tina to call on Wednesday. It’s all complicated getting senile and old. Don’t let anyone tell you differently! Sam got the medications sorted, and we chatted. The canned treats for nurses and Carers are getting so low in choice now. I’ll see if I can get some G&T cans in tomorrow while out and about. Carer Sam departed; I forget what we were talking about as she took the waste bag, but have an uneasy feeling it might have been something I ought to have written down on the Carer Richard-donated whiteboard? Humph!
Once again was in a stubborn mood. Each time I dropped off, I’d shoot awake after a few minutes, with my mouth full of the adipose flavour of the battered onion rings. I assumed I’d continued burping and belching in my sleep. The last time I remember shooting awake, I had to use the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee-Bucket); it was 03:30hrs. The next waking and the rising were at 0535hrs, so I did get some sleep in. !
Mayhap this was my best day in ages, with help and verbiage… Even with the Liberty-Global Virgin Media stoppage! And Doreen Dementia’s thoughts pilferage! Taking an extra Omeprazole dosage, Contentment was on turbocharge! Today held far less umbrage, I even had some persiflage! Oh, and a lousy sausage! Hahaha!
I was up out of the second-hand, £300, charity shop bought, crumb-retaining, microorganism-microbe producing, gungy, moth-eaten, beige-coloured, non-working, incommodious, Haemorrhoid Harold testing, c1968 recliner on my feet, by 03:30hrs. But the mind was so confused. I could remember the night before how well I felt in body and mind as well. It was as if a different person had woken up? Paramount in my head was being so far behind with my blogging. And apart from when the Carers called, I spent the next 16 hours trying to get caught up with it. But, it was a failed mission I’d given myself. Mainly due to my making cock-up after cock-up with trying to rush the job. and made (that I know of, at least).
① Using CorelDraw to put some word info re the Ode. The CorelDawr progamme froze. I had to lose the progress I’d made. Turn the computer off, also losing the Ode I’d just written! ② Rebooted the computer, and some autosaved was available for the last used page. Opened it, and there were some bits of use on it. Then I had to save this one in a new name. Then find and delete the old one. ③ Then I got the Health Checks done. Copied the results on the NHS site and saved some graphics I could use to make up the finished product. But, No! The dam blasted Liberty-Global Virgin Media went down in the middle of it! How I hate that man, know-all Fries! Considering the salary he gets, he can’t even get his internet to work! ⑤ I had to wait for ages for the signal to return, then it was so slow! ⑥ I’d forgotten where I was when it came back on! ⑦ I made even more mistakes by getting all agitated and hateful of Fries. ⑧ Then, in the middle of mind-blank trying to sort things out, The kicked of with his tap-tapping and knock-knocking! ⑨ I’m afraid this was too much for me… Every knock he gave was returned by my trying to copy the noise with my Wooden-Wally Walking Stick against the top of the high bookcase. I’m not proud of this – but at the time, I even shouted out as loud as I could, “You Noisy *astard!” He gave me some more hassle later – which got the same response – but not the naughty language.
Not the best start to a day at all!
That’s all apart from the few things below that were not involved with getting on with the blog and making even more errors in it. I was fixated on getting it caught up with.
Genuinely worried about my lack of concern at the same time. As I said, it was like someone else ruling my mind. At around 2150hrs, I still hadn’t done any ablutions or even changed out of my jammie bottoms. What’s going off
Here is a quick rundown of the day’s non-blogging events;
Carer Sam arrived. Can’t recall too much of it, but I’m sure I must have mentioned how I felt. Had a Snowball as a treat in thanks. ♥
I got the finished eventually.
The days’ events took the shine off of the results. I was actually down in the amber!!!
Checks were done on the taps and fridge/freezer doors. Heaters and stove not being left on.
The late morning mist was lingering a little. I took these snaps of the view that seemed to look more like an artist’s watercolour effort than a photograph to me.
.Aha, sa trip to the Porcelain Throne was called for. After eight bloodless evacuations, it had to happen. Especially today… let’s cram some other Accifauxpas on the lad. ‘Humph!’ More blood from poor old than for ages. An almost grey-coloured torpedo slowly, bloodily and painfully escaped.
Many hours later, when I got around to putting the above snaps on, I found this photo on the SD card. I reckon I must have taken it when setting the Lumix before taking the two earlier photographs. An unintentional selfie of decent quality?
Then I also discovered the one below, of the car parking on Chestnut Way. I can’t recall taking this one at the moment, though?.
Evening Carer Charley arrived, her usual cheery self. I was getting the stuff out for a meal… this was at 19:05hrs. We had a natter and laugh for a minute when she’d done the medications giving. Cheeky-Charley selected a can of WooWoo and a choccy bar in thanks. ♥
At long last, around 2I:40hrs, I got the chilli meal sorted. Chilli, beans send 7- Roast smoked vegetable sauce added, and a pot of instant mash. Two out-of-the-oven part-baked rolls that went down well; and helped me to mop up the delicious, if a bit strong for me, chilli. Sweet Morpheus was resistant again. Cragknangles! TTFN all.
So, this will be a condensed version instead of my usual waffling on. However, you can rest assured there will be the normal errors, grammatical, factual & miss-seen or typed selection of Whoopsiedangleplopping and assorted other cock-ups committed. Likely more of them than average. Thank you.
04:00hrs: I woke, legs looking so foreign to me. what happened? It might have been the fact that I got a decent sleep-in for once, so had the legs up longer? Got the BP and Blood Pressure taken. Had to take two wee-wees while doing this task? No sooner finished, and it was back to the WC again; the bucket was so full! Cleaned it and put the figures on the NHS site. Ah, look at that, down in the amber again! Then back to the wet room to utilise the Porcelain Throne. Trotsky Terence is still in charge. Phoo! I’m having trouble here reading my own notes, so a guesstimate might have to do. It’s 25 hours after this event that I finally got down to doing this blog. As I said, it’s been a messy day. Not much went right. Made an order for Iceland for tomorrow, with J Sainsbury having so many items unavailable… or was it Morrisons? A full paragraph is unreadable here, but something happened; I can tell by my harried handwriting. Ah, well! Next readable bit: Arrived, Gawd, was he yawning or what? He was doing it while he was talking, and by the time he’d had a few great long ones, I forgot what it was he had started saying to me. Hehehe! He was not in a talkative mood, really, compared to usual. He’d got another extra call to make. Took his bag of treats and the waste to the chute on the way out. Hope he’s in a better state tomorrow. Oh, he did say he’d made a report of the health conditions he’s encountered to the office. Other stuff as well, but I forget now, notes of no use. My fear is being moved into a care home – like the one they sent me to for a month after the stroke. It was hell!
I tried ringing Deana to tell her of the strawberries and plonk having arrived and the new changes to the Diabetes course days. No reply.
The Morrison order arrived.
There was a farce again in the man getting in through the door, he phoned me on the mobile, I don’t think we could hear each other… too long a story for now. It’s getting so late as I write this… I’m tired out and confused again. Nothing new. I think I made a mistake in ordering from Iceland. Yes? Put the goods away. Five minutes into this task, and it was back to the toilet for a wee-wee yet again! Trotsky firmly ruled. Messy! Plenty of fodder today. They had substituted a veg pie for a beef one; I can give that out later.
The bananas were well over-ripe. And were put in the bottom of a bag to get squashed further. Inside, the fridge was looking well full. Good job I’ve not ordered much to go in it from Iceland – more luck than judgement. I took the waste made to the waste chute room. Aware of yesterday’s near suicidal use of the chute, I took my time and received no injuries whatsoever.
I got on the computer and must have spent four hours doing up the old word list for the odes and making more labels to use in this colour. I just couldn’t stop myself! I knew it would mean another late night and loss of sleep, but just carried on! The Amazon, belated by several days, dried mushrooms arrived. Another cock-up getting the deliveryman into the flats. Too long-winded, I’m trying to save time here and get some sleep. I opened the large bag of mushrooms and was going to put them in storage containers… I tried one when opening them – they were disgusting! Semi-hard on the outside and wood grain dry on the inside. They really did taste like newspapers! I let Amazon know and did a review to let other customers know just what they were like. No bad language, just plain facts. Humph!
I went back to CorelDrawing and was forcing myself to stop the label making – and get some photos on… Huh! The jerking hands came on as I was moving a photo on the screen, a bigger jerk and the screen froze, just the same as yesterday. But this time, after waiting and hoping for far too long that things might right themselves, nothing happened. I could not close anything down other than the internet, which I did. Then had to turn off the computer with the message “CorelDraw is stopping us from closing this computer”
There was an option that said ‘Close Anyway’, which I chose. I’ve idea if would help, but I closed it down and gave it a rest, and I went to make a brew of Glengettie. I took this photo. The sky looked as depressing as I felt! My mind was confused, and I felt harassed. I forgot about making a brew and returned to the computer, almost scared to try it, for fear of CorelDraw of the computer being damaged when I hit whatever I did earlier. I did a little hoovering, checked the letterbox, anything other than start the computer. The dark clouds had seemingly cleared (but not for long), and I took this snap of the front car parking. A little sparse today?
I tried ringing Deana to tell her of the strawberries and plonk having arrived and the new changes to the Diabetes course days. No reply. Is she busy, ill, or on holiday? Hope she’s alright.
Carer Sam arrived. I was much more responsive tonight. We had a chinwag, and she chose a Gin & Hit for her treat. Taking the bag of waste to the chute for me on her way out. The night was falling. I did manage to make a brew this time. Haha! This photo looks like there is a tear in the fabric of the sky.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Well, it’s so late; better get some food cooking. I lost the photo of the meal and a few more today. Into the ether. This happens a lot with the Lumix… Why?
Yet the next photo, of the ice cream for afters, was on the card?
Dropped of to sleep and got four hours in the land of nod!
The door chime rang out, but not for the usual length of time? I thought I must have dreamt it, going into and out of wakefulness. A minute later, the chime rang again! I got up and went to the door and looked through the spy-hole – the motion detector light in the lobby was lit! I remembered the note about youths gaining access to the flats through a fire escape door and going around the block, pressing door buzzers and bells, and trying doors! I think it must have been them! Now I was nervous, so sleep was out of the question.
And later, the buzzer went again; I put the light on and heard the door closing noisily! Shit!
I checked, and the lobby light was on again, so someone had been there. I suspect the youths rampaging again, and this time they were coming into the flat with no doubt nefarious criminal intentions. But with me putting the light on so quickly, it must have surprised them. I heard a voice saying what sounded like ‘Scram! and shadows from the lobby light as they shot off.
I shall have to report this to Warden Deana in the morning… oh, it is morning now. When the wardens arrive at about 09:00hrs.
I am a fool! It is the weekend now. There are no wardens on duty Saturdays and Sundays or evenings. I’ll have to find the Nottingham City Homes control room number and let them know.
I’m a little apprehensive and twitchy now. I bet the scumballs will be back again tonight? Clapthunder!
As I lay there fretting, I passed wind and made a mess in the Protection Pants to make things worse! Good job that I’ve got plenty in stock. Cause this happened again later! Trotsky Terence was in charge.
The evacuation started and ended before I got down onto the plastic seat! Virtually liquid. What few shreds of solids were a khaki colour, with yellow liquid. The stomach ached and was rumbling throughout. What had I eaten that could have caused this?
I washed, shaved, the teeth were done, olive oiled the ears, Germoloided Harold’s Haemorrhoids, and put the eye drops in (some of the drops actually getting into the eyes!). New PP’s adorned. Changed into the day clothes, and I put the kettle on. Took a Galpharm capsule and a Co-codamol for the tummy pains.
Later on Sunday, I worked on this blog then, the Morning Carer arrived and sorted the medications for me.
I tried to find the number to report the incidents to Nottingham City Homes, but the number was only for Mon to Friday. I mentioned this worry, on the Winwood Heights Facebook page, hoping there may be another number to use. No answer, but it’s only 10:30hrs yet.
Then thought, I’ll report it on the non-emergency police number 101. A fat lot of good that was!
I was getting into a right state, mentally. I rang the 111 NHS number by mistake!
I carefully dialled the 101 digits: The first recorder voice I could hear clearly and got my hopes up. I had to press for Derby or Nottingham Police, which I did. I got a female squeaky to my ears to understand the recorded message.
Farcical! I’d no chance of understanding what was said. So, I had to give up on that, too! People with hearing, sight, and dementia problems are lost in the ether of evolutional methods of contacting anyone for help.
Much as I don’t feel safe locking the door, just in case of another stroke or bad tumble… I do not want the yobs getting into the flat again… Do I lock the door or not?
I got back to the flat from the Covis-19 booster. With the delicious, kind, beautiful, highly-most desirable, tantalising, titillating, sex-pot, Gillian. Who still refuses to adopt me as a granddad. Tsk! Gillie put the things away in the kitchen, and I insisted she take some bottles of plonk and cans of spirits, in thanks, for her help.
Just look at thou that the gal had made for me…
She’s cooked six sausages for me. I can warm them in the microwave. I made some BBQ sliced potatoes and garden peas and added BBQ sauce. Gorgeous! Bless her cotton socks!
Getting off to sleep was a Challenge.
The Thought Storms raged a fair bit quixotically, .Alto-Ego Inchie pestered me telepathically, Terrible pains from Haemorrhoids Harold, posteriorly, Wing, coughing all things somnambulistically… Which came on after a marvellous Gillie day, sadly! Of course, my angel had now gone away… Still, no nodding off, and bled when I had a cough…
But it got worse when I moved to get comfortable, When Little Inchie burst into a blood bubble! Now, stopping that caused me pain and trouble… The agony from medicating things was indescribable! Later Sweet Morpheus arrived, highly satisfiable!
I woke, with the Booster Jab Arm in agony, too!
Saccades Sandra and me dizzy, it’s nothing new…
I planned this weekend, what am I to do?
Tomorrow Sainsbury’s food delivery, only a few…
Co-op order Monday, I’ve ordered some beef stew…
I woke, with the Booster Jab Arm in agony, too!
Saccades Sandra and me dizzy, it’s nothing new…
I planned this weekend, what am I to do?
Tomorrow Sainsbury’s food delivery, only a few…
Co-op order Monday, I’ve ordered some beef stew…
I took some photos of the foggy morning
Just misty, there was no storming…
Hello, is it thickening?
Clearer, on Chestnut Way, down below,
I’ll try a wide shot or two; I’ll give it go…
Didn’t come out very good, though!.
No deliveries today…
Ah, onto Facebooking to play, okay?
Mustn’t forget Josie’s nosh, with the chardonnay…
I think it beats any takeaway…
Then my plans had to be cast away…
Sainsbury delivery came today. What can I say! No deliveries today?
No deliveries today?
I ordered five little bananas, but I got ten…
I’m not sure if they’ll all get eaten,
Asked for 100ml, got a 400ml… It suits this glutton!
Ordered two 60 spuds, got two 500’s, dumbstricken!
Back to Facebooking, but I extemporise…
Facebook went down; I tell no lies…
My plans did once again evaporise…
My spirits sank; they did wantonise!
I realised the Amazon Co-op food had arrived!
I think I ought to be sectionalised…
I’m losing it seriously; I don’t want to sensationalise,
Maybe going in an old folks home might yet be wise?
Cause my brain is refusing to synchronise!.
Got the Amazon bags into the kitchenette, Did you notice the Metal Mickey stick? I know it was there; it’s picturistic… This is really quite worrying, and dramatic, I think the word is mayhap pedagogic? But I haven’t seen Mickey since? It defies logic! I fear I have become recognised as pilgarlic? Then as had to hobble for a wee-wee, nucleonic!…
I walked into the wet room door frame, Only myself to flipping blame… Oh, boy, the agony and pain… I hit the booster shot arm again! My emotions and hopes became disharmonic… The uncomfortable pee made me feel apathetic, When I got back into the kitchen, I couldn’t find the stick!
I got the Co-op crap put away, then…
My stupidity; it must remain unspoken…
More nosh in the fridge, crammed in and swollen,
The freezer’s the same; I feel crestfallen…
Getting dates and figures wrong, stupidity is my song…
In life, I just can’t seem to get along?
And now the pain from Booster arm,
It’d possibly be as bad as napalm. Not really,
I’m shaking more than ever, I must keep calm,
But in constant pain from the flipping arm…
It’s swollen too, and I’ve had moments of dwalm!
Still, I mustn’t set off the wristlet panic alarm!
Gotten Himmel, Josie’s Meal to Do!
Gotten Himmel, Josie’s meal to do…
Fingers crossed, I’m making a sort of chilli stew,
With chestnuts, mushrooms, beans and leeks too!
Getting it made was a bit of a hullabaloo…
Cut the end off of my finger. It’s what knives do!
Looking decent, to her door, I took it to…
I made an extra meal for her on Monday,
Oh, I added some chips into it; I hope its okay,
Sweeties, Limoncello, Vodka… Hey Hoe!
Got on with the blogging again,
Despite the terrible pain…
The slightest movement of the arm…
Only not moving it at all, was it calm…
I got a feeling of sheer self-disdain!
Unbelievably – Door Chime Again!
The door chime rang out once again, so…
I ventured up the hallway, it was the postman, Johnno,
Bills, forms to fill in, upwards the rent must go?
Marvellous news this time, at last something nice did flow,
A parcel from HRH Lisa and Billum, in the Americas. Something that Lisa has sent me for Christmas. Bless her, she is so caring and sweet! Tempted as I was, I did not open it… yet! I will enjoy doing that when I have my Christmas morning pork pie and open the cards.
HRH Lisa, Billum & Inchcock
Bless you, HRH Lisa. You’ve given me something to look forward to, on Christmas Day now, my petal. ♥♥♥
The arm is still swollen, and I am disgusted with myself for making the Whoopsiedangleplops over the delivery dates of the food.
So, who is worthy of the sarcastically Inchcock invented name of a Grobble Knumphchuckle?
A ‘Grobble Knumphchuckle’ title recipient has most of Anthony Charles Lynton Blair qualities and attributes. But the chosen few have the added ‘quality, ‘skill’, ‘trait’, ‘ability to have failed in their chosen sphere of financial skullduggery, hustling, or whatever position they have conned others out of to get employment and absolutely phenomenal salaries! (I’m not jealous at all).
The hated few, selected band of natural, proper, worthy candidates that have been granted the name by both Inchcock and his Alto-Ego Inchie! We start today with the current Top Dog himself…
Mike Fries (Left)
Distraught UK Customer on the right!
Grobble Knumphchuckle? Yes!
A most deserving case. He has all the traits required. Plus, I am dead-jealous of his salary during the Coronavirus he’s paid himself, of… wait for it… $1 million a week! According to the internet, difficult to be sure if this is true as Liberty-Global Virgin Media Internet keeps going down several times a day… and ever upwards in cost!
No wonder he’s smiling! I Can’t blame him!
Chief Executive Officer of Liberty Global
Who acquired British cable group Virgin Media for $24 billion!
Virgin Media’s new owner faces a shareholder revolt for paying its boss $1 million a week during the pandemic. The American chief executive of London-based Liberty Global pocketed $52 million (£36.7 million) last year, even as the broadband and TV provider was hit with a deluge of customer complaints.
A number cruncher? Conman? Mafia-backed?
Who knows. He appears hubristic, conceited, self-assured, smug, arrogant, daredevil, self-asserting, shameless, procacious, scoffing, impervious to failure, and a moralless bloke?
Then again, if I was getting away with conning my bosses, shitting on my Nottingham customers, and an excellent number-cruncher and bean-counter as Fries: And getting away with it, paid a fortune to fail… and cunningly hiding the actual figures so cleverly, I might be the same as he is?
Which does nothing to help me get the over-priced, ever going off-line Virgin Liberty-Global Virgin Media internet to work?
You try to sign off and try another company! Huh!
Fries Virgin-O2 Deal?
O2 and Virgin Media have confirmed plans to create a new company through merging. The deal establishes a quad-play (broadband, TV, phone and mobile) company that will rival BT. The combined business will have up to 40 million commercial and residential customers and be worth over £31 billion.
However, several issues, including regulatory, will need to be worked out as the ‘deal’ progresses.
Quote From Fries
Mike Fries, Chief Executive Officer of Liberty Global, said: “We couldn’t be more excited about this combination. Virgin Media has redefined broadband and entertainment in the UK with lightning fast speeds and the most innovative video platform. And O2 is widely recognized as the most reliable and admired mobile operator in the UK, always putting the customer first.
Putting the customer first?
Oh, my mistake, I thought for a minute that Fries was claiming that was what Liberty-Global Virgin Media were doing… even he is not brave enough to make that claim… is he? He was talking about 02.

Dear Mr Fries:
The figures and statements I’ve found on the internet, maybe pre-juggled or crunched, appear better to the investors. This searching the web and creating this blog is not accessible when Liberty-Global Virgin Media here in Nottingham, England, keeps going down several times, every day! I find it confusing.
Hehe! I am what used to be called a Silver-Surfer, although I am bald. I struggle with disabilities, stroke, heart-surgery recovery, and vascular dementia. Not that this would bother you in any way! Empathy is obviously not in your dictionary. Knowing how to run an internet service that is even close to being semi-reliable is also beyond your capabilities, but hey… we’re only customers!
Liberty-Global businesses operate under some of the best-known consumer brands, including Virgin Media-O2 in the UK, VodafoneZiggo in The Netherlands, Telenet in Belgium, Sunrise UPC in Switzerland, Virgin Media in Ireland and UPC in Eastern Europe.
Is your internet none-reliability the same everywhere, Mike? Or do you have something against the proletariat pensioners of Nottingham, on the tiny island, UK?
Our global investment arm, Liberty Global Ventures, has investments in more than 75 companies and funds in the fields of content, technology and infrastructure, including strategic stakes in companies such as Plume, ITV, Lions Gate, Univision, the Formula E racing series and several regional sports networks.
Reads impressively; At least to anyone who isn’t cursed with your destruction of Virgin Media reliability. Are there any vestiges of mock customer service and Liberty Global’s constant, Nottinghamian internet failures? Several other unhappy old silver-surfers are using Liberty-Global Virgin Media Internet (when it’s not gone down, of course) in these blocks of old folks flats that would like to know. Why am I asking you? Proof of my senility here!
Liberty Global total number of employees in 2020 was 23,000, a 13.86% increase from 2019.
Are the imitation customer services team, electronic or even the human variety occasionally gagged? Do they have scripts to read from? Have you told them never to mention Libert-Global when someone calls? That is if they can get through and the LG telephone is working. Thus, Mr Branson can be blamed for the abysmal service we are receiving?
Liberty Global is a cable company providing video, broadband internet, fixed-line telephony, mobile, and other communications services to residential customers and businesses.
I think you’ve missed a word out of the above Liberty Global statement… Should it read, Liberty Global is a cable company providing video, broadband internet, fixed-line telephony, mobile, and other communications services to UNFORTUNATE residential customers and businesses?
