Now there’s a Challenge!

WD 0.0.5 23:00hrs: Woke-up and removed my body-mass from the recliner, and had a wee-wee, it was a long, painful, reluctant wee-wee, in the LSDOP (Long-Slow-Drawn-Out-Painful) mode. The Porcelain Throne usage was also required when I got in the wet room.  A little-tiny ‘Phwlup!’ escaped from the rear end. The aroma was atrocious and instant! The evacuation was most reluctant, bottom-splitting, slow, massive, and bleeding. Humph!

Then I washed and got the kettle on. Did the handwashing and got it wrung-out and hung. 5Fri02

I used the Nikon camera to take this straight-ahead view from the unliked, unwanted, thick-framed, light and view-blocking new kitchen windows that they cunningly designed so old less able folks can’t reach the glass to clean it! Being early, and still night time, the lights seemed brighter, and of course, the emergency 5Fri01services blues and headlights added to the colourfulness. I made the mug of tea, took the medications early, and took a blind picture of Chestnut Walk below the flats. I say blind, cause the new windows having such wide sills, at 5’2″, I’m not tall enough to lean out far enough to see what I’m picturing!

I got on the computer… but, it was such a slow slog! So, I got the graphics done first.

VirgSlowblack

I worked on CorelDraw for a good few hours, and eventually got the needed graphics, page tops, and Thoughts done. I was just going to start making up the templates. Several wee-wees were taken during the CorelDrawing, all in the same style. I began to update the Thursday blog. I achieved this and got it sent off to WordPress.

WDP11Lwd 0.0.5A WD 0.0.5 I went to make another mug of tea. I poured it out and waited for the bag to brew. Then I dropped the spoon and cup all over the darned kitchen floor! The fingertips had started to lose their sense of contact again! The cleaning up, made Arthur Itis kick-off as well, and I clouted my head on the counter corner, bending down. I got some biscuits to have with the freshly brewed cuppa! Holly-Molly!

WDP 11fLWD 0.0.5 Back to the computer, and found that WordPress had been updated while I was away, and a new ‘Block-Editing’ system installed. A new layout and I was having enough bother with Pheriphral Neulagia, without getting stuck and unable to get my pictures on correctly! Eventually, (two-hours later), I got back to the current editor, but can’t find the spell-checker. A headache came on! But the coughing got far less?

Took this Nikon camera shot of the now blue sky.

5Fri003Had a bash on WordPress Reader, then onto TFZer Facebooking. The door chime rang out, and the chap from the Physio team had arrived. I’d got it all mixed up in my bonce, I thought the Medicine Team lady was calling today? We went through some questions and answers and I started using the things left for me for physio. It was hard going, and the landline rang and flashed while I was doing the ups & downs. It was Sister Jane. She’d sent me an Email and was just telling me so. I had to ring-off, to get back to the times exercises.

WDP12LWD 0.0.5 When the bloke had departed, I got attacked by Dizzy Dennis, and now, hours later, pains in the stomach and the dizzies are still with me, plus the headache is getting worse! Hello, sharp pains behind the eyes now! This is not good, cause the fatigue is setting in as well, feeling weak and tired with it? I may have to call for help. Maybe a hobble-out might help? No, perhaps not.

5Fri08I checked on what Jane had sent me: Well, it’s of no help, other than bringing on the guilt that is already there. Haha! But I blew up the picture to have a read of it, she thought it might be worth me putting in the Inchcock Today. It should get a smile or two, methinks. Definitely, something I suffer from! Called, Oniomania!

5Fri007c

5Fri005Glad to hear that Pete didn’t pass on any radiation poisoning after his scan! And his not glowing in the dark is reassuring! He-He!

I re-jiggled the handwashing on the airers. Had another wee-wee, slightly different variety this one, catch-you-out type: an AUMSOBO (An-Uncomfortable-Marathon-Session-Of-Blasting-Out) mode.

WD 0.0.5 I can’t make my mind up about this funny turn I’m having. Dizzy Dennis, headaches, sore-throat back again, odd stings in the stomach, and weariness was coming over me suddenly. The stabbing pains behind the eyes are persistent. Mmm?

5Fri007I decided against going out, I’ll try eating, and just settling down I reckon, watch somebody call at the door or ring me!

I got the Korean and Irish mushroom in the pan earlier, and I’ve just turned them on, a low light. Oh, heck, the stomach ain’t half-churning now!

WD 0.0.5 Christ, I just stood up to go and check on th5Fri10e mushrooms, and all but toppled over! Humph! Good job I was using the four-pronged stick. It suddenly went all dark outside!

I don’t want to moan, but I ain’t feeling good at all, I’m not even feeling like eating now! Still, I’ve put some black bean sauce in the pan with the veg chilli and mushrooms on low light. I’ll just try a bit of it, I don’t think it’s a good idea to eat too much how I’m feeling.

I’ll get the medications taken. Half the nosh served, and settle down to eat, and then hopefully fall asleep.

I might feel better when I wake up… that’s if I can nod-off… confusing innit? Hehe!

5Fri27With a great deal of care that was not commensurate with how I felt, I got the meal prepared and served up. Took the medications while eating. Per contra, not feeling too good in myself did not stop me from eating all of the noshes on the dish and tray.

WDP 11eLwd 0.0.5A The Korean and Irish mushrooms, along with the added black bean sauce, seemed to cool down the strong chilli taste, and it suited me down to the ground – which is where the first spoonful ended up, via my belly, legs, chair, and foot! Hahaha! Good job I overordered on the kitchen towels. Got it cleaned up, and was soo back dining to my heart’s content, on this 9/10 taste-rated delight.

6Sat03aThe landline burst into hardly-hearable sound, but the red flashing light worked okay. It was my pulchritudinous, highly-desirable, heart-flutter-causing, beautiful angel of a Polish phlebotomy nurse on the line. Informing me that she is due to call on me, Monday, twixt 09:00 > 11:00hrs. The heart warmed at just hearing her voice! I thanked her and got the computer on straight away to put the appointment on the Google calendar. A few medical meetings are coming up.

6Sat01I got the nosh things in the washing-up bowl and settled in the xyrophobia-suffering Brother-in-Law Pete damaged, while he was flat-sitting, when I was in the Stroke Ward, and he fitted new CCTC cameras, and searched for my valuables, which he found and took, (I still haven’t got them back yet six-months later), £300, second-hand, near-dilapidated, gungy-beige coloured, c1968, sometimes working, sometimes not, uncomfortable, rickety, rinky-dinked, rattling, rusty, resurrected, reconditioned, recalcitrant, recidivating and rotting-away recliner. With my feet up on the chair, and cramps were attacking the legs and feet, something awful! The dizzies and other ailments were still with me, but they seemed less severe and bothersome for some reason? I reckon that my speaking on the phone with the Angel of Mercy and twinkling passionate eyes had had a good effect on me!

The GPWWB (Grey-Plastic-Wee-Wee-Bucket) was utilised several times over the next few hours of failing to get to sleep. Varying from USBUWSS (Ultra-Slow-But-Uncontrollable-Weak-Sprinkly) to BOBSL (Blasting-Out-But-Short-Lived) types. Evacuations must be terribly dull for folks without bladder problems. Hahaha!

WDP 11gLWD 0.0.5 And, the late in the day Porcelain Throne visit, was a right scary affair! Constipational in nature, marathon-lengthed, bloody, massive and about as painful as I could cope with. Add the coughing bout and my toe stubbing when getting off of the throne, led to an uncomfortable, hurtful, cleaning, and sanitisationalling session! I returned to the recliner literally pooped and tuckered-out!

Yet still, sleep would not come! A few times, I felt the eyelids drooping, and a coughing bout would destroy my sleeping plans, repeatedly! I put the TV on and thought I’d watch a DVD; this usually sends me off to kip. I was viewing Clint Eastwood’s Gran Torino (50p at the Charity Shop in Sherwood) when the cruel Colin Cramps came again. It took ages for them to ease off this time. I tried the Phorpain gel and took an extra Codeine 30g, but they had little effect, mind you, the headaches eased off nicely. Tsk!

WDP11LWD 100.20.0 00:30hrs: I woke up feeling terribly sorry for myself and in a self-loathing mood at the same time. The mind was not really interested in working on anything else. Getting free of the Xyrophobia-suffering, flat-robbing Brother-in-Law Pete damaged, while he was flat-sitting when I was in the Stroke Ward, and he fitted new CCTC cameras and searched for my valuables, which he found and took. (I still haven’t got them back yet six-months later), £300, second-hand, near-dilapidated, gungy-beige coloured, c1968, sometimes working, uncomfortable, rickety, rinky-dinked, rattling, rusty, resurrected, reconditioned, recalcitrant, recidivating and rotting-away recliner, was so easy, almost painless! I thought I might still be sleeping or had died and was dreaming.

I was soon uprightish, had grabbed the stick (oddly the walking was such a lot easier this morning, with no dizzies or shakes?), and off to the kitchen. As I got the kettle on, the summoning from my innards for a visit to the Porcelain Throne arrived, so, off to the wet room. The evacuation was, erm…, well, it astounded me! Fair enough, there was the usual massive dollop coming out, but not messy, no pain at all, no bleeding, and no fluids escaping with it!

WD 100.20.0 I stood there afterwards, pondering for a few seconds. Had I actually woken up yet? I reviewed the happenings and non-happenings of the day so far. Finding the situation to be inscrutable: No hassle whatsoever from Anne Gyna, Hernia Henry, Duodenal Donald, Reflux Roger, Back-Pain-Brenda, no stubbed toe or the Cornelia Corns, no Neuropathic Schuhplattler dancing! Minimal bother from Rheumatoid Arthur Itis,  Peripheral neuropathy, Tight Chest Charlie, Polyneuropathy Pete, or Arnold Axonotmesis! Even the sore throat and coughing was easier. Not only these but the howling, droning noise that surrounds the flat 24/7 sounded less loud to me? I suppose I should have felt delighted and gratified, but the EQ was preventing this, with it’s “Don’t get too excited” message.

WD 100.20.0 1Mon 01With a sense of unrealism, I made my way back to the kitchen and got the kettle back on, and made a brew, getting the medications out ready. A feeling of vagueness lingered within me. My thoughts were all over the place now, mind-blasts peppering the brain, unanswered questions to the fore… Oh, dearie me!

1Mon02I tried taking a picture of the view from the unwanted, light & view-blocking, thick-framed new kitchen windows, with the unreachable for old farts panes of glass to be cleaned. I tried the Nightime Panorama option on the Nikon camera this time. Then, I got the medications imbibed and off to the computer to get the updating of Sunday’s post done.

Although there were precious few photographs taken yesterday, it still took me several hours to get the job completed. I think the main reason being my lack of concentration today. The mind-blast of questions, fears, and the nervous-making EQ quoting away at me caused some concern. Am I finally going bonkers? Hehe!

WD 100.20.0 During the updating work, I must have had four mugs of tea, and taken around ten or twelve wee-wees! All pathetic attempts of the WSS (Weak-Short-Sprinkly). In total, the passed liquid might just have filled a small cup!

I made a start on this blog. Then went on the TFZer Facebook page to catch up. I enjoyed that.

Ah, I have just seen the calendar, Iceland delivery this morning. Better ger a stand-up was done before the time arrives. Today’s lack of pains and Accifauxpas continued with the ablutionalisational session! No cut gums doing the teggies. No cuts shaving! No bleeding from Little Inchies lesion! And, as well as and besides, only three dropsies! Mmm?

Also, the Phlebotomy Nurse is due some time today to take the blood.

I made a brew and took another WSS wee-wee. Then got on CorelDraw to do some in advance.

WDPH01LMany hours spent graphicalisationing, during which, first, the delightfully attractive, twinkle-eyed, desirable, breathtakingly sultry-looking, 5’4″, perfectly-bodied, beautiful Polish phlebotomy nurse arrived to take some blood for the INR Warfarin test. The old heart, even if it is plastic and metal, fluttered! We had a natter while she removed the haemoglobin, I handed her some of the Lemon Wafers, she said goodbye and shot off, leaving a Nottingham Pensioner, a tad sad at her going.

I popped down to Jenny & Franks flat with some nibbles and PP’s. No answer, I left the morsels on the door handle in a carrier, and carried the PP’s back down, cause I did not want to block the hallway by leaving them outside Jenny’s door, I can take them down again later on.

WDPG02RBack to the CorelDrawing. An hour or so later, my Iceland food delivery arrived. Items short delivered, monies to be returned to my account within nine-working days… Mmm! Still, seeing the food made my mind up what to have for my early din-dins.

1Mon09aBack to the CorelDrawing. Many, many WSS wee-wees later, and hours later, the time arrived for the nosh to be made. I had a ready-made meal, the Iceland bean & sausage casserole, adding some tomato and bacon cooking sauce part-way through cooking, and was eaten with far too many slices of the Milk Roll bread I’d defrosted. I put the extra sauce into the food, cause there seemed an awful lot of red peppers in it this time, to cool it down a bit. It wasn’t bad at all — flavour rating, 7/10.

I decided, that late as it was in the day, if the rice-cooker arrived in time, I could go to the Sherwood shops and get some… wait for it, the one thing missing… Rice!

Back to the CorelDrawing. Going to the wet room, and the intercom chirped into life and lit up. Aha, it was the Rice-Cooker! When the young man had delivered it, I hastily opened the box and investigated the contents.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

The instruction leaflet will need a good reading before I dare try it out. Anyway, this made me decide to catch the bus down into Sherwood to get some rice, which sort to get, was a gamble, but still. I got the things ready. I collected some of the too large-for-me PPs, to drop off at the Oberstgruppenfhreress Warden Julie’s and Hauptsturmfhureress Deana’s holding and interrogation office as I pass on the way down. Bit of a struggle to carry, with the bag of recyclables, I wanted to leave near the bin, but I managed it. I took some Christmas treats as well. I set off down and placed the box outside the caretaker’s bin. Doubts about whether or not I should venture out came in question, as the rain and the terrible wind blew! Walking along the link-passage to Winwood Court, the incredible warmth hit me, ah, another world. I got to the Oberschutzeress Warden’s cell and tapped nervously on the door. Handed the PPs over, and the treats. I went through the significant social room on the way to the bus stop, and I stopped for a chinwag with Mo and Herbert, who were doing a crossword together.

Then on and almost into Winchchester Court until I saw the deterioration in the weather through the windows! This decided me not to go out, I’ve got to go out in the morning, to catch the bus to the After-Stroke Physio Torture… I mean, session!

I can see no solution to the parking problem1Mon09 at Winwood Heights. I imagine that one day, either a bus will hit a vehicle parked half-on the kerb and blocking room at the buses turning island. Or someone will get knocked over having to walk with their trolley-guides on the road, cause they cannot get by the cars parked on, and already breaking-up the new tarmac pavement. But what else can they do? An accident, injury or death might encourage someone to tackle the issue, or even identify, recognise that it exists? I mean, let’s face it, it is an old people’s prison… erm, complex. Hehe!

I returned to the flat, and had a wee-wee, washed, then made a brew and sat down to watch some of the Hustle DVD. Fell asleep!

1Mon13

WDP 11hLI was caught out when I woke up, the late sun, although heatless, had blossomed out, the rain had stopped. The most noticeable thing was the legs had lost nearly all their Clopidgrel, bruises, lumps. welts and blotches! Fair enough, they had started the fluid retentioning again. But it was nice to see them without the blemishes, blood-papsule and ecchymosis scars! It’s really incredulous, inconceivable, how things have changed so suddenly! Mind you, the cramps are still there. Haha!

Ten-minute or so later, I drifted off again. I woke up, to the most beautiful skyline showing through the balcony door windows. I took a shot through the glass, then went out to take another one, through the open window.

1Mon10

WD 100.20.0 Which proved to be a painful experience. I trapped my finger when closing the metal spring shutter, that needs pushing in and pulling at the same time to use it. Tripped over the raised door runner on the way back in. Fortunately keeping my balance and not going over. Slid the door shut behind me. Turned and went tit-over-tail onto the floor, as I got myself entangled with the four-pronged walking stick!

WD 100.20.0 Getting back up was a battle, but the use of leverage from the rickety recliner helped me get up.

It’s been a day of mixed blessings.

As if I needed a warning!

WDP 13cLWD 0.0.30B 01:35hrs: Woke, coughing, and feeling sorry for myself as the sore-throat seemed to be burning. I pondered a few seconds on what day it was, and the duties and desires needed to be completed, how and when they will be carried out logistically and physically.

WDP 13cLWD 0.0.30B But I was soon fumbling my way out of the recliner, caught my balance, grabbed the four-legged walking stick, and off to the Porcelain Throne. For perhaps one of the worst evacuations I’ve had in a while. The constant expectation of it starting lasted for a ten-minute crosswording session – and then things moved, a tiny bit, and stayed there! I felt like my body would split-open at any time! As eventually activity began, painfully, progressively and procaciously, I could either feel or sense the blood trickling through. Much later, the final uncontrollable burst of activity came, welcomingly quickly, the splash was unheard, I think things must have already been in the water before that final push. I stayed exactly where I was for a few moments, almost weary, but still glad things had been completed at last.

WDP 13cLWD 0.0.30B This feeling did not last long after I rose from the throne and saw the state of the Porcelain, which surprised me. The evacuated material had somehow disappeared altogether, leaving traces of itself and some splattered hæmorrhœa everywhere! I set about cleaning things and myself up. I must get some more of the haemorrhoid cream if I go out today.

All cleaned and refreshed, I returned to the recliner-room to investigate the state of it. Remarkably, no signs of nocturnal-nibbling, any dropped or spilt articles or items, but the reserve walking stick was not hanging on the door handle where I usually leave it? Not too bothered, I’m bound to come across it later. I tend to keep the short stick near the front door, and the reserve one on the kitchen or front door handle, and use the four-pronged stick, that many times, because it can be left standing of its accord so as to speak, I forget about it, and spreading the others around, means in the event of any Colly-Wobbles or Dizzy Dennis spells, I don’t have far to go to get support.

Doing this spreading around of the sticks actually makes me feel good. To me, it shows I still have some little logicality, lucidity, and smidges of organisational integrity and semi-clarity left in me. So my lethologica, absent-minded, forgetfulness, paramnesia moments, and waters of Lethe incidents don’t get to me so much. I think anyway! No doubt there will be more Whoopsiedangleplops which will test me later on. I believe that my tendency for such Whoopsiedangleploppery (Thanks to Tim Hancock, from New Mexico for this word), needs to be tackled, but who can anyone help in this?

3Wed001bI made a brew of strong flavoured Thompsons tea and took the morning medications.

Off to the computer, and had a dedicated session of updating the Tuesday post. The finger-tip-nerves were not too bad, and I pressed on determined to get the job finished in time for me to catch the 09:30hr L9 bus, to Arnold. And boy, did it take some doing! Tons of photographs to be loaded, edited in CorelDraw, and then be added to the blog. This task took me over five hours! But without many wee-weeing, which is making me worry a bit?

I then went on the TFZer Facebooking, another couple of hours. Then the WP reader section. Finally, turning everything off and going to get the ablutions sorted, as there was not much time left if I was to catch the bus.

There is missing writing here… the tag died one me, and I lost everything!

Re-written in the morning: I went to catch the bus and knew there would be a chance of my missing it. So I hastened down, and out along the front on Chestnut Walk to the bus stop. I had a jolly nattering session with others.

The L9 arrived within a couple of minutes. I got on the right bus for once (Hehe!) First time I’ve seen the bus fully-filled at out stop, before. All the side-saddle seats were taken up, and with trolleys taking up three of the spaces. I got a bruise or two getting my mass in a tangle with the three-wheeler getting into an ordinary seat. Most folks dropped off in Sherwood. I moved to a side-saddle seat, which was not comfortable with a James Hunt supporting driver.

3Wed001I had a viewing of the book on 1950’s cars loved in England. I had the urge to go somewhere other than the Asda-Walmart to do my shopping after they had let me down with the delivery, so I dropped off in Daybrook and went straight into the Sainsburys store. Which proved to be an expensive choice. Tsk!

WDP 13cLWD 0.0.30B I spent well over an hour strolling around, being assaulted bu other customers elbows, bags, shopping carts, having my feet trodden on, elbow bashing, and merely being walked into by a couple of them! It was a lesson, in future, I must not go into this store again: Their customers are violent and were not kind to me today. Haha!

WDP 13cLWD 0.0.30B At the self-serve checkout, I had an embarrassing few incidents of incidents. I gat ti putting the things through, and when it came to the DVD, it was locked in a security casing, so I asked an assistant, he said, “Not me, I’m off for a break, ask them!”, pointing in the  general direction of two young ladies having a natter. I stood patiently waiting for them to stop, which they did a few minutes later, and one of them shook her head up and said dominantly, “Yes?” I apologised for bothering her and handed her the DVD, and she offered an automatic smile, tutted, muttered, and went off to take the security tag off of the DVD. I returned to the cash-till, and a couple of more items were put though, as she returned and handed me the CVD-DVD, then went back to her natter with the other assistant. I carried on and got the things through. Taking care to position the heavy stuff for the trolley bag, and lighter goods for the carrier bag separately from each other.

WDP 13cLWD 0.0.30B When it came to paying the rather large bill of over £39, I put the digits in the card reader, and nothing happened. I signalled to the nattering assistant again, and she came over and gave me a look that said, “This old fart should not be allowed out on his own!” As she pointed out, that I had not inserted the card in the machine! I did feel the right Schmuck!

WDP 13cLWD 0.0.30B I thanked her, feeling a proper idiot, and carried on and paid. I struggled a bit to get the things into the bag and carrier, but the trolley seemed semi-stable as I was walking away, now having to rush a bit to get to the bus stop on time, I looked back to see if I had left anything on the checkout, and was extremely glad I did! I’d left the card in the machine! I returned to collect the cash-card. I spotted the ladies still deep in conversation, both offered me a look that spoke volumes, one of detestation and nauseousness. The other of guilt, perhaps at not noticing the card cock-up I made?

WDPH01LI came out of the store, feeling an even bigger shmo than earlier, and panicked a smidge, convinced I would now miss the bus. Fortunately, the L9 was a couple of minutes late, and I made it with about 30 seconds to spare. So, the day was mixed with some good and bad luck! A couple of Winwoodonian’s who got on the same bus pointed out how lucky I was!

3Wed01gaWDP 11LI got the receipt out and read through it on the way home. Surimi Royal fish, Graham’s whole organic milk, a can of gammon, a turnip, black beans, cough linctus (I can keep one in the shopping bag for when I’m out, the other in the kitchen. [Smug-Mode-Adopted]) baby beetroot, packets of mild chilli sauce, passata, roast cashew nuts, the DVD ‘We Die, Young’, a cheese baton, Dried onions, mushrooms, tomatoes and a pot of Magnesium tablets (Cramp-easers!) Unnervingly, I realised I had bought both a vegetarian and a proper meat packets of Pork Ribs in sauce. I do remember looking at them both but felt sure I got only the meat one… Obviously, I was wrong. Another bêtise on my behalf, Grumph! I’ll have this for tonight’s nosh, and get it out of the way. Otherwise, I’ll never eat it, served me right!

3Wed01fBack at the flats, I made my way through the link-passage into the big room. Where I stopped for a natter with a couple of folks. The fruit and veg man had not yet set-up his stall, so I thought I can always pop down again later. Which of course didn’t happen, I forgot all about it!)

I got the fodder put away, still annoyed at myself for getting two different pork ribs packs! I left the vegetarian one out for cooking, and put some mushrooms in the pan, and tomatoes ready for slicing and adding later. The imitation pork ribs, I must say, when I opened the packet, it looked and smelt good.

I got the not-meat in the oven. And set the timer to remind me to add the mushrooms, tomatoes and extra bbq sauce later. Sliced the tomatoes ready, and got on with the handwashing.

Which with the jammie-bottoms, took a little longer than planned. I stopped when the alarm sounded and put the extras in the tray, and back in the oven.

Then finished the washing and got it hung up.

3Wed01iI got the meal served-up on the serving tray, I used the oven dish instead of a plate, to save time washing up Hehe! It appeared to be tasty enough to me, with the tom’s and mushrooms, an apple the cheesy baton, and a can of Pepsi, I got settled into the recliner to feast! Full of contentment and anticipation.

WDP09LWD 0.0.30B 3Wed23What words can I use? What can I say? Just when I anticipated a royal feast and thought my allotriophagy had found success. The flavour and context, of the imitation pork, was disgusting! Deglutition was hard, especially with the sore throat. Most of this abhorrent meal was binned, and rightfully so! Oy-yoy-yoy, the disgustingest and indigestible, chronically bad-tasting vegetarian dish I’ve ever had! Eurgh! All sugary and sweet! My Taste-Rating of 1/10 is the best I can manage, I might as well of just ate a bag of sugar!

I threw away the ribs and loaf, but I did eat the tomatoes and mushrooms, with some milk roll bread. The cheesy baton, very hard crust, was too much for my sore throat and mouth ulcers to cope with. I settled down and wondered whether I should watch the DVD or some TV – not that it mattered, I fell asleep before making a decision!

Worra day!

WDP 12c23:00hrs: Already awake, after cleaning up the mess from my leaving the potatoes boiling while I fell to sleep! I did the handwashing and then got on the computer to update yesterday’s diary. I got on with the task. Due to a little relief from the nerve-ends jumping and sensing, I pressed on until it was finished!

1Mon02WD 125.0.0 Stopped to make a brew and take the medications. To find that yet again I had missed taking the evening dosages! However, I didn’t feel the usual self-hating and annoyance that I would generally hold. I knew it was only due to the Whoopsiedangleplop of my letting the potatoes boil over and having to clean it all up last night! (That’s my excuse!) I 1Mon03took the morning’s medications, with just a Simvastatin and the Warfarin tablets from those missed off.

WD 125.0.0 I nearly gave myself an injection of the Enoxaparin, but thankfully realised they had been stopped and I didn’t need one. How I could have thought I did need one, remains a mystery. Fool!

I got the Nikon camera, and took three shots of the morning view, in.

Shutter-Priority, all I can see is dots? Aperture-Priority, gone all non-coloured? And Auto mode, blurry. Just to see what, if anything would come out differently. And they certainly did!

I must not forget to go to the Podiatrist session at the Sherwood Health Centre later, I’ll check the time on the Google calendar.

Ah, 11:50hrs. Horrible timing that, it means I’ll be incapable of doing anything mentally pr physically afterwards, apart from nodding-off, I seem to have become quite adept at that. Harf-Harf!

I finished the updating and went on the WordPress reader for a bit. The ever-present drowning, humming noise all around, suddenly started to get to me. Humph!

I made an Asda order, wth mostly Christmas pressies on it, for next Tuesday delivery.

WDP 10LWD 125.0.0 I went to fetch the money bag for the bus fare for this mornings ride into town for the After-stroke Physio Session, and what a clot I felt. I’d actually forgot that Xyrophobia-suffering crook Brother-in-Law Pete, had stolen all of my cash when he was flat-sitting (robbing!), while I was in the hospital after the stroke! Sugar-Plumb Swine! So I had no bus fare. I’ll have to walk it to town now! Gobble-shacks!

I’d better get the stand-up ablutions done. Tsk! I am a clot, it’s not Tuesday, but Monday today! It gets wicked when you don’t even know what day it is! So change of plans; Get the ablutions proper done – and get a bus into Sherwood, get change for the bus, to Wilkos for some freshener and bleach, then on to the Sherwood Health Centre Podiatry appointment, for 111:50hrs.

The ablutions went reasonably well. The dropsies were a little numerous, mind; The toothbrush, razors (2), shaving foam, soap (4), flannel (2), the sock-glide, shower spray (2) and towel. The sock-glide battle was lost, apart from dropping it while positioning the frame for insertion of the right foot, I ended up with a few new bruises. Humph! But the shave and wee-wee were bloodless! The pins, well, see for yourself.

1Mon08Got myself dressed and freshened up. Took the black bags to the waste chute. Then went down in the lift to talk to and see the Wardens, but none were in the room. So I dropped the PPs in through the new kitchen in the Winwood room. Popped into the big social area, and dropped the PPs off in the kitchen window. Noticed some stuff for sale?

Back to the flat, and had a look outs1Mon09ide through the Al Fresco area door. It was awfully wet out there. Haha! Got back to the flat, and Josie brought the tray and plate back from yesterdays nosh. I am mostest pleased to report that after interrogation, she revealed that she enjoyed the smoked haddock and cheesy-potatoes. So, I’ll do some more next week.

A quick update on this blog, and out again to catch the bus. I left a message about the PPs at the warden’s room and carried on out to the bus stop. A pleasant round of chinwags, moans, complaints, snide remarks and much laughter was enjoyed.

WDP 13cLWD 125.0.0 I got on the bus and settled in a side-saddle-seat, then realised I was on the wrong bus! I vacated the vehicle, feeling an even bigger fool, much to the mixed amusement and derision of the tenants still out at the bus stop! Hehehe! I knew things went in threes. So the getting up thinking it was Tuesday, not Monday, then getting on the wrong bus left one more to come. (It didn’t take long!)

WDP 13bLWD 125.0.0 I got on the other bus behind, for just a few stops, and got off in Sherwood. I missed the stepping off of the bus but avoided going over, although the three-wheeled-walker did it’s best to topple over. This was when the third Proper-Whoopsie happened, I gleaned that the reason for my near tumble, was that I had the wrong spectacles on, the reading glasses! I was glad that third in the series had come and gone! Hehe!

I ambled along to the bank, to get some change for the bus fares. (Thanks, Stubble-Pete, for knicking all my cash and causing me so much hassle) If there is anything I can do for you, like break your arm, cut your plonker-off, or rearrange your facial features, just let me know!

WDP09LWD 125.0.0 Could I remember my number? Not to start with! Waiting in the queue, I did my best to remember it, but the paper I have the number clandestinely written down on was not in my pocket! Nor was the mobile phone. Nor was the £30 I was sure was in the coat top pocket last night! I was getting into a state here. I let others go forward ahead of me as I continued to try and remember the digits, where the mobile and money was… then Eureka and Buggermaquilt! From nowhere, the four number came to mind – but of course, were they the right ones? I moved to the counter, much to the displeasure of the person behind, who must have been expecting me to let him go in front of like I had to several other folks, and offered me a lout Tut-tut as I left him. Haha! I had to ask the teller-lady for some cash as well as the coins. Now, and at the back of my mind was, ‘Where is the mobile, what have I done with it? But all priority-wise, behind the worry of, “Are these figures that have come into my mind, the right ones? They worked! I avoided any, cachinnation or shouts of joy!

WDP 08LWD 125.0.0 I got the gelt from the lady, thanked her and proceeded to have a Dizzy Dennis spell as I hobbled to the door. I got to the wall, clinging onto the three-wheeler, and pretended to be casually waiting about, I read some of the notices on the wall. I could tell that the money-seekers in the waiting queue were all concerned for me… well, I got a few looks of incredulity, that said to me, “The senile old fart shouldn’t be allowed out on his own!” And the odd sneer from some of them. As I left a few minutes later, I was a smidge concerned about how things would go, but I needn’t have worried, once outside and limping up the hill, everything was fine, no signs of any dizzies, or wobbles at all? Perhaps the worrying about the number had brought the spell on? Hey-ho!

1Mon09aWDP 12dOver the road and to the Wilko store. Where I stocked up with, Dettol Disinfectant spray, Ylang laundry freshener, bleach and some yoghourt peanuts. Paid the bill, and the lady at the checkout, kindly put the things into the bag for me. Help like this is so precious and appreciated. Strangers, young ones at that, showing a bit of empathy, really restores my faith in youngsters. Very welcome, appreciated and kind!

Out up to the top of the hill1Mon09b, and right down Elmswood Gardens and into the Sherwood Health Centre.

WDPright04The welcoming smile of the young female receptionist, who remembered my name, and what I was going to the centre for! Bless her, this cheered me up!

I got ensconced in the Podiatry waiting area and had a bash at the crosswords. Not very successfully, though! The lady came out to call me in. She did the tootsies while having a chinwag, and was done in no time. She told me to see my Doctor about the Clopidogrel induced excessive spider and varicose veins and the risk of Thrombophlebitis. (I asked how to spell it, and made a note! Thank you muchly!

1Mon10AS I got to the bus shelter in Sherwood, things got a little dark, and I anticipated some heavy rain is due. But it held off.

While waiting for the bus, I listened to some of the Winwood Heights gals at the bus stop nattering as best I could. They all seemed very content today.

1Mon11Back at the flats, I waited until last and dismounted the bus. Made my way in the Windwood Court entrance, and down the link-passage. As I ambled with the three-wheeler along the corridor, I could see how the sunshine has come out again at the far-end windows.1111

I met with Christine at the Woodthorpe Court lift lobby, and along with a new tenant chap, we went up in the elevator. Chap 2nd floor, me 12th and offered Chrissie my best wishes, as she went up to the 13th level. I got inside the apartment, and put the nuts and stuff away, kettle on, and took the evening medications. A little early I know, but having missed the last two evening-dosages, I was being cautious.

1Mon13I put the roast vegetable risotto ready nosh in the oven as soon at it reached temp.

Got some mushrooms in the saucepan and added a drop of Sukang Puti vinegar. Got them simmering. Then added some black bean cooking sauce, and some sliced tomatoes and gave it all a good stirring.IMG_2606

Slowly adding some onions and basil. The rather delightful aroma of this sauce, that needed constant attention, was making me even hungrier, and this was just the flavouring. The risotto in the oven had a good proportion of caramelised red onion in it. Mmm!

An interruption arrived, it was some mail. I could not help but smile at the Repairs booklet. After being told every day for nine days that someone would come out to tend to my lack of hot water, and nobody did! Staying in from 08:00hrs to 22:00hrs every day, in vain hopes they would arrive. No sleep. Made myself poorly with it all, and reading the statement, somehow I found it hard to grasp and believe that improvements will come!

Josie rang the bells, to return the cutlery tray etc. from her nosh yesterday. I inquired if she had liked the smoked haddock cooked the way it was, and she said yes. So now I know, we can have it the same way next Sunday. So glad she liked it.

I added the sauce mix to the oven dish and got the sourdough baguette in the oven.

Then I got the jumper hung and got the socks on the airers.

1Mon16I got the meal prepared. It didn’t look appealing, just like the earlier ones didn’t, but my gum, it tasted delicious! I masticated, savoured and slurped away at it for ages, enjoying every mouthful!

Flavour Rating, 9.35/10.

1Mon12WDP 01b rightWD 125.0.0.a After dining, I took the meal things, tray, dish cutlery etc. to be washed… had an imitation Neuropathic Schuhplattler dance routine from the Peripheral Neuralgia affected right leg, and sadly, dropped the whole darned lot on the floor! Worse still, I nearly lost my balance and went over, but luckily the door frame got in my way. Tsk! Got it all cleaned up, not that it was all that bad, case there was no food to spill, only a few (thousands of tiny ones!) bread crumbs! The dish had been wiped almost dry and licked, it was that good! No more left now, I must get a Morrison order done for next week and get some more in. No other shop sells them.

WDP sleepLSettled in the Xyrophobia-suffering Brother-in-Law Pete damaged, while he was flat-sitting, when I was in the Stroke Ward, and he fitted new CCTC cameras, and searched for my valuables, which he found and took, (I still haven’t got them back yet six-months later), £300, second-hand, near-dilapidated, gungy-beige coloured, c1968, sometimes working, uncomfortable, rickety, rinky-dinked, rattling, rusty, resurrected, reconditioned, recalcitrant, recidivating and rotting-away recliner. I got the headphones on, and the TV going… ZZZ!

Hungarian: 2019. November 3, Vasárnap

0Nov 03

00:05hrs: I woke up in my old-tyle traditional fashion today like it used to be every flipping morning, in need of the Porcelain Throne, somewhat urgently. I staunchly battled my way, panickingly I freed myself from the Hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobic, Xyrophobia-suffering Brother-in-Law Pete damaged, while he was flat-sitting when I was in the Stroke Ward. As he fitted new CCTC cameras and searched for my valuables. Which he soon found and took. (I still haven’t got them back yet six -months later), £300, second-hand, near-dilapidated, gungy-beige coloured, c1968, sometimes working, uncomfortable, rickety, rinky-dinked, rattling, rusty, resurrected, reconditioned, recalcitrant, recidivating and rotting-away recliner. And, off to the wet room. Giving the electric clothes airer a wide berth en route!

I’ve no qualms about the evacuation this morning. Still too large in volume, but less messy! No bleeding either! Off to the kitchen, but I had to return for a wee-wee. Tsk!

WDP 13bRWD 180.50.0 The right-hand fingers seem to have lost their sense of contact with anything hard, again. I pressed the handle to get into the wet room and almost walked into the door! The broken-nerves failed to get the message that I was opening the door-handle to the brain, I suppose! I sincerely hope this is not going to get any worse. The leak was unexpectedly of the LHNC (Long-Hosepipelike-No-Sensation) variety. Rewashed the dandies, and back to the kitchen, once more.

7Sun 01I made a most tastefully satisfying brew of the Thompson tea. I’m addicted to this brand and Glengettie Gold tea bags. But fear that finding any Glengettie Gold locally may just be impossible! Ocado has none in stock and might not be restocking. As they have left the availability of the tea on their website as available, and you do not find out they have none until you get to the checkout! If you miss it, they’ll send substitutes! The Swine! This week is the third time I’ve made an order with them, and had to cancel it! I went on the Typhoo, who owns the Glengettie brand, web site. I got a Norton message telling me it was unsafe! I searched the web for local stockists but found none. ‘Grr! The only place I found any on was Amazon! Thank heavens!

WDPright05aWD 180.50.0 I st7Sun04arted on updating the Sunday post, but it was hard work with the finger-end nerves so bad. Ever correcting and making mistakes. None of them an ignotism, it’s not my fault, and I have to cope best I can. But, it’s getting to me this morning.  Hindering, impeding, and aggravating, Globbledigooks!

WD 180.50.0 It got so bad after a couple of hours, I stopped and got the handwashing I should have done last night, undertaken. Which was a farcical experience, I can assure you. The right-hand side of my body was not in a good state to start with today, and walking was not easy even with the stick. The inner-desire of the torso to suddenly want to lean to the right-hand side nearly had me over a couple of times already. And the strength of grip had diminished a lot, so wringing out the clothing was not an easy task, either.

7Sun02Taking my pictures was not plain sailing. I had no sense that the hand was shaking, but could see on the camera screen, that it was. But could not do anything about it. Grumph!

I just hope it is not a permanent thing, and that it eases off later. Please!

WDP09RI tried taking a snap from the unwanted, crap, light & view-blocking, thick-framed new kitchen window after getting the washing done. But had to take four shots of the view above, to get this one that was okay. (My EQ, just knew I’d have to pay for having a decent day, [apart from getting soaked in the rain, Hehe!] yesterday!)

Back to the updating of the blog. Hours later, I’d got it finished. Then posted it off and went on the WordPress reader.

I went on Facebook catching up, and there was plenty to catch up on! Many hours spent, but I was so glad to get back on the TFZer site.

7Sun34aWDP 13dLTime to get Josie’s nosh prepared. Something a little different for her today. The tuna mixed with mayonnaise,  plus some oven-baked smoked haddock on the plate. Mushrooms, gherkins, and tomatoes. Fresh orange juice and naughty but extremely nice, Limoncello desert.

I remembered belatedly when I’d got the food server to Josie’s door, to fetch the camera to photograph the nosh. It came out a shaky, blurred one I’m afraid. Tsk! Then I took a shot of Josie, who was not happy at my doing this, and was waving me away as I took it. But I think it came out alrightish and caught her expression to a tee! The ludic smile showing through. I hope she forgives me for using this picture, it was such a perfect one, with her fun-side showing through. Bless her, I hope she likes the way I cooked the smoked haddock. Happy eating, gal! ♥

I was going to try some haddock myself, but as you will read later, I ended up not having a meal at all, but it was my own fault.

I got back in the kitchen and sorted out the mess I made while cooking, pots washed, and cleaned the floor where I’d spilt some butter.

Getting myself back up from sorting the floor out, the old fatigue hit me hard, and I felt well-drained suddenly. Mind you, I’d been up for thirteen hours by then. I got some King Edward potatoes simmering, and the smoked haddock in the oven, and went for a relaxing sit-down and to watch some TV, with the timer on the Ottoman at my side.

7Sun34bI noticed that the arm bruise had already lost its yellowish glow, and was disappearing fast now. I thought I could see a face-pattern in the markings, that’s why I took this picture but blown if I can see it now. Hehehe!

I quickly nodded-off, into a right deep sleep…

WD 180.50.0 By the time I woke up with a jump, several hours had passed, and it was near midnight. I rose and panicked, the instant I smelt the burning form the kitchen and remembered the fish and potatoes cooking! Oh, dearie me! Off I shot to the stove. WD 180.50.0A Stubbing my toe en route!

WDP 11RWD 180.50.0 To find the King Edwards all over-boiled and were in pieces with peel disintegrated. A right mess of overflowed water all over the cooker, down and onto the floor. Even more of a surprise,  found I’d put the haddock in the oven to cook, and not turned it on! Which turned out to be a blessing in disguise! The job of cleaning it all up was not easy. I had to drain and strain the potato bits and get them in an extra-thick black bag, then put that into another sack. Wash the saucepan stove and floor! The melted, wonderfully smelly smoked haddock was dried and went into the bag as well. They can be taken to the chute after 08:00hrs in the morning.

This incident triggered my acrasia, and sparked-off my cringe-making, remorsefulness, and self-reproach! I was suddenly ashamed at my stupidity, and felt a right jobbernowle!

I decided to stay up! I got the days handwashing done, perhaps as a sort of penance?

WDPright04As Malcolm Cowley wisely said: “They tell you that you’ll lose your mind when you grow older. What they don’t tell you is that you won’t miss it very much” Hehehe!

TTFNski folks.

1Mon03

01:35hrs: I woke, disencumbered the Xyrophobia-suffering Brother-in-Law Pete damaged, while he was flat-sitting, when I was in the Stroke Ward, and he fitted new CCTC cameras, and searched for my valuables, which he found and took, (I still haven’t got them back yet five-months later) £300, second-hand, near-dilapidated, gungy-beige coloured, c1968, recliner of my body-mass. Positioned myself semi-perpendicular, and almost without realising it, found myself in the wet room, and dropping the PPs to use the Porcelain Throne, when I discerned I didn’t need to!

WDP09LWD 125.0.0 So, I had a wee-wee, and it was another of the rare, but long, long, ongoing, ‘When will it ever stop’, LSDOP (Long-Slow-Drawn-Out-Painful) variety. The pain with it was not precisely excruciating, but it was there for the entire time the wee-weeing took place, and that was a good few minutes it lingered on afterwards! Definitely got an infection in the bladder again! Humph!

While it was slowly trickling out, I pondered on the day’s needs, thus not overthinking about the uncomfortable searing stings from the piddling session. A day indoors today, cause the things are to be delivered from Amazon, between 07:00 and 22:00hrs, and the Stroke After Care man said he would call if he could find the time!

5Fri01I got in the kitchen what seemed like hours after I’d woken up, but it was only half an hour or so. I took the medications and made a brew, the first of oh so many today! The thirst was with me again and as strong as ever. I leaned out of the appallingly badly designed new kitchen window, to take a shot of the morning view.

WDP 08L01WD 125.0.0 I got the computer on and began to update yesterday’s blog. I knew it would take me a long time, cause I had taken so many pictures while I was out and about. As I stood up to go for another wee-wee, Back-Pain-Brenda gave me one heck of a twinge! I froze where I was, dropped the stick WDPH01Land nearly went over. But my being such a fit, athletic, in tip-top condition, agile, nimble sort of energetic young man, I used my tremendous courage and physical abilities to avoid falling over. This may be pandiculating the truth a tad? Hehehe! This wee-wee was another unsettling LSDOP type.

It was cold in the flat this morning. Everything had shrunken that could do. Hehe!

WDP09LWD 125.0.0 The getting the post finished and sent off to WordPress, took me over five hours in the end! The slog was broken by five trips to the loo, every one of the LSDOP style! But at least the expected and anticipated further Libert-Global Virgin Media Internet going down on me didn’t happen. Yet! I went on the WordPress reader section, not a lot on there. But what was on, shone out.

I made an Iceland order.

Then got the ablutions done. And they went well for once. I needed another Porcelain Throne visit, too. Yes, a few dropsies; Toilet roll, toothbrush and paste tube, shaving foam can, razors, soap and Haemorrhoid Harold’s cream; but minimal bleeding, no toe stubbings, clouts again anything hard, and I avoided the sock-glide battle by leaving the 5Fri006socks off! Smugness Creeping in Here! Haha!

WDPright05aWD 125.0.0 But, however, and notwithstanding, the pins were in a right mess again. Paler than never, new blotches and blood papsules, spider, lymph vessels. CVI (phlebitis) and Clopidogrel. But the lumps and Varicose veins seemed far less obvious?

Also, the old ankle ulcer had calmed down from yesterday.

5Fri005WD 125.0.0On the L9 coming home yesterday, the bus went around a corner sharply, and I banged my arm against the trolley handle. I remember saying to Louie, well that’s another bruise to come up and laughing about it.

5Fri007Well, here it is (Above) Humph!

I got myself dried and freshly adorned. And found a letter had been delivered while I was ablutionalisationing. From the Stroke CityCare team. Six pages, with forms to fill in. They are 5Fri007ccalling next Friday 11:40 to 12:40hrs.

It’s getting misty now and light drizzle with it. I took a break from the sending-me goggle-eyed computerisationing and got the much-belated hand-washing done. Only a long-sleeved shirt and a pair of socks. Wrung them out and got the shirt hanging above the sink in the kitchen, and the diabetic bamboo socks on the flat airer.

5Fri08I checked on the Tracker for the Amazon deliveries. Best as I could tell, the torches and tea bags might arrive for 19hrs, and the Dressing Gown via Post Office delivery could be about October next year. Haha!

I daren’t go out to take any rubbish to the chute, in case a delivery arrives and I miss the intercom… that’s assuming it will be working today?

WD 125.0.0 I got some graphicalisationing started in CorelDraw, to get me ahead with the task hopefully. It was a slow grind, with the fingertips often losing sensation and causing me all sorts of messes to try and sort out, Tsk!

After giving up on the computerisationing, due to the ailments granted adscititious hassle, and the ever-correcting mistakes problem it was causing me. Not the least is the frustration and the mind’s acataphasia, I had to surrender.

5Fri13WD 125.0.0Ar5Fri09ound 14:00hrs, the doorbell chimed, and a highly-stressed looking Post Office worker, delivered the parcel containing the cheapo-clearance sale priced dressing gown. Which was a bit of a disappointment in many ways. The deep brown colour on the one shown on Amazon (Left), turned out to be a terribly uneven beige sort of tone, Mind you, I am partially colour blind. I opened the package, and bits of cotton fell out of it. Took the towelling cotton gown out, and even more bits of fluff and white cotton ended up on the carpet. I hung up the purchase to photograph it, and left a trail of bits from junk room to the kitchen, in the hallway. Closer inspection, and reading of the paperwork, this was a one-size option? Although I clicked on Large/Extra Large on the order page, the thing was a little small for my endomorphic, adipose, and overweight, many stomach-folds and chins adorned body to fit into. Hey-Ho! Always the Shlimazel!

I cleaned up the kitchen tops a bit, made a brew of Glengettie. Rearranged the drying handwashing, and went for a wee-wee.

WD 125.0.0 Crikey! What a one that was! A multiple-problem one! To start with, it was another BOBSL (Blasting-Out-But-Short-Lived) wee-wee. But Little Inchies fungal lesion was haemorrhaging. After cleaning and medicating, then changing the PPs, the wee-weeing started again! This time it was a totally different style, in the LSDOP (Long-Slow-Drawn-Out-Painful) mode. Humph!

5Fri10Around 15:25hrs, the intercom lit-up and rang out. Fortunately, I was in the hallway at the time, it was the Amazon delivery.  I opened the foyer door and waiting for the chap to arrive at the flat. He handed the parcel over, I thanked the young man, off he shot, and I took the stuff into the kitchen, to open and inspect the contents.

5Fri11I tried out one of the wind-up torches, and it worked fine. I left one on the Ottoman near the recliner, for my use, and put the other three away as pressies for Christmas. I resisted making a brew of the Punjana black tea, I would enjoy that treat in the morning, I was too tired to appreciate it at the moment. I still had a part-filled mug of Glengettie anyway.

So, now I could start on the meal preparation. I got some black bean sauce and chopped some tomatoes in with it, got it in the saucepan warming up slowly, and kept an eye on it, stirring it regularly. The oven had been heating up to low heat for hours in readiness.

5Fri14WD 125.0.0 I opened the tray of vegetable risotto. Punctured the film, and got it into the oven.

I checked and stirred the sauce and tomatoes, and realised I had put in Korean BBQ sauce my mistake for the black bean sauce! But I left it. I even added a drop of the Sukang Puti vinegar to the mix as well. I’ll try anything once. Haha!

While the Vegetable Risotto cooked, I kept stirring the sauce in the pan, while I had a look at the contents of the meal on the sleeve label. They were: Cooked Risotto Rice (36%) (Water, Risotto Rice), Tomato (20%), Roasted Vegetables (16%) (Red Onion, Courgette, Red Pepper, Butternut Squash), Onion, White Wine, Water, Vegetable Oils (Rapeseed, Sunflower), Pesto Sauce (3%) (Sunflower Oil, Basil, Medium Fat Hard Cheese [Milk], Salt), Regato Cheese (Milk), Garlic, Herbs, Garlic Purée, Demerara Sugar, Cornflour, Salt, Tomato Purée, Rehydrated Sun-Dried Tomato, Black Pepper, White Wine Vinegar, Basil, Sugar, Garlic Extract, Basil Extract. Mmm?

I put a sourdough baguette in the oven half-way through cooking. Got a Limoncello dessert, a bottle of fresh orange juice and an apple on the tray with the cutlery all ready for dining! And awaited the feast to cook!

5Fri12The mixture did not look overly attractive when I served it up and mixed in the Korean BBQ sauce and tomatoes in the dish.

What a stab in the dark meal, but it was the best, the most enjoyable one I’ve had in ages! Gorgeous Flavour! The Aldi sourdough baguette was warm inside and so crispy crusted! I’d overcooked it a bit, but it turned out lovely! The vegetable risotto and BBQ sauce went down a right treat! Even the few drops of the Sukang Puti Vinegar could be tasted. This must be the most potent vinegar on the market? The Taste-Rating of 9.25/10 was deserved!

I dined and wallowed in delight as I gobbled-up the meal. And felt well surfeited afterwards. I lay there, satisfied and happy, then fell-asleep.

WD 125.0.0 I woke an hour or so later, in a desperate need of a wee-wee. And what a calamity followed as I tried to get up quickly out of the Xyrophobia-suffering Brother-in-Law Pete damaged, while he was flat-sitting, when I was in the Stroke Ward, he fitted new CCTC cameras, and searched the flat for my valuables, which he found and took, (I still haven’t got them back yet five-months later), £300, second-hand, near-dilapidated, gungy-beige coloured, c1968, sometimes working, uncomfortable, rickety, rinky-dinked, rattling, rusty, resurrected, reconditioned, recalcitrant, recidivating and rotting-away recliner, to go for my wee-wee! .

WDPright03WD 150.0.0a I grabbed the four-pronged walking stick, and entirely concentrating on getting to the wet room, didn’t realise that the food tray was still on my knees, it fell off, I wobbled, lost control (still half-asleep?) of the stick, and fell in a heap over the Ottoman. Knocking over the airer and handwashing on my way to the floor! Hit my chin and caught the right arm on the bruise, then all was silent. I lay there, I must have looked like a collapsed rhinoceros amidst the clothes, the now bent airer, and the walking stick having come to rest close to the Little Inchy location! I freed myself of the entangled airer and clothing and moved away on my knees, which started Arthur Itis off, I moved to some stable furniture and used it to get myself back on my feet, (Not an easy task!), retrieved the stick, and off to the wet room!

wdp02LeftWD 125.0.0 But I didn’t make it in time! My earlier joy at the wonderful meal, dissipated, to be replaced with an ‘Embarrassing and Self-deprecation’ mood! At my age, something like this has to happen! Even the wee-wee (what was left off it), was one of the RWPS (Reluctant-Weak-Painful-Spraying) type! Humph! I cleaned things up, changed clothes, and put on a new set of PP’s.

Well, I could have done without that series of Whoopsiedangleplops!

WDPright02WD 125.0.0 The Arthur Itis knees, Back-Pain-Brenda and a new pain in the ribs, now! I had to sort out the room. The airer is now bent out of shape. (As would be most things that my substantially voluminous, jelly-mould body falls on!)

The tray and cutlery had to be collected and washed. The carpet had to be cleaned with the brush and dustpan (carefully), too late to use the hoover. The clothes refitted on the airer, which was still working!

WD 125.0.0 Then, sod-me, I needed another wee-wee, this time I fetched the GPWWB (Grey-Plastic-Wee-Wee-Bucket). It was a different type again! Of the LRWS (Long-Reluctant-Weak-Sprinkly) variety. I wonder what the hell is going off with the bladder?

I got a wash and changed PP’s again, just in case anything happens later. Got a drink of Springwater by the recliner and sat down on it… not the springwater, the chair! Much to the displeasure of Arthur Itis and Back-Pain-Brenda.

WDP 12cHowever, despite the recent altercationalistic happenings, sleep actually came, no getting up for any wee-wees, no dream and no ailment pains woke me up? They perhaps felt sorry for me? Hahaha!
