A proper short one this time, sorry.
But, it took me that long to get the.
Monday blog updated (15:00hrs) & I
must rush cause I’m out tomorrow for
the Covid booster. TTFN.

Up at 03:30hrs: Worked on yesterday’s ode until 05:30hrs. Then off to the Porcelain Throne. Easier today! I set the alarm off by accident in the dressing stage, didn’t know I’d done it, but I thought I heard a voice in the flat. Had a look around and saw the alarm box flashing. Apologised.

Morning Views

Richard arrived, Yawningly – he was so tired. But, we managed a little natter and laugh, even a moan about things to each other. He was reluctant to take the freebies in thanks, but I sulked, and he took them. Hehe!

Was noisy again.

I literally got lost in everything I tried to do today.

Got a call from a woman. The only words I caught were Virgin Media?

I got some potatoes on with the black bean sauce; I hope it works out alright.

In the amber, nearly the green!

Grrreat!

PHOTOS?

CARE IS DUE SOON MUST GET SOME MOSH SORTED

Just getting the meal served up, and Kylie arrived.

She helped me prep the meal. Then got the medications given. Had a laugh and natter, which was nice. Took the bags with her as she left.

Back to the meal, for me.

I soon demolished it!

Today felt like the longest day – ever!

0525hrs: I sprang awake with the usual verbal Huh! In mental confusion and a mind-muddle. That’s also a regular awakening scenario.
However, I was soon out of the c1968 recliner. And after a regulation wee-wee; The brain seemed to come partially together, and I remembered both the Amazon order was coming today and the delightful Carol to do the washing in place of Esther. The Amazon order should be the gigantic bottle of Ben’s hickory smoked barbecue sauce on its way to me. I adore the flavour of this one. It may not as strong as some other sauces are, but it’s smoked to perfection! And along with the wonderful Stubbs Hickory Liquid Smoke, will be used in the chilli I make. This passes Josies and my taste buds test to a tee! I also use it on the veggie burgers. Oh, I do live well… That might be a slight exaggeration. Hehe!

I checked the state of the plates first, not the dinner plates, my plates of meat, feet. They looked good, but they were painful underfoot. Having said that, They’ve been a lot worse, so I’m not going to grumble!
For some weird reason, I remembered the mould on the bottom of the shower area. I got the Mr Muscle Spray and used it all, covering the affected area. Then thought I’d leave it for the recommended 15 minutes and, naturally, I forgot all about it. Ahem! !

I made up the waste bags, then I cleaned the cooker top… I did think about cleaning the oven… but, well, you know how it is… Hehehe!

Arrived and inquired as he came through the door what that smell was. At this point, I remembered the mould spray I’d lathered the wet room and floor with. Richard went in, looked around and turned to me with that famous half-smile and a he is, look on his face! He pointed out that I’d used shower gel, not a mould cleaner. He helpfully told me to nip down to Sherwood and buy some. Hehe!

It was so late in the night that by the time I made a start on this blog, my eyes were making it so hard for me to see properly. The notes on the ‘remember-pad’ have wriggling letters and words, so I’ll have to either guess or ignore what I cannot decipher. Sorry!

I’d not heard from HRH or Billum for a while. I was a little worried, so sent an email asking how things were – with hopes that they were okay. I love them both; they have such great personalities and are caring people.

Little did I know of what lay in store for me today. Ups and downers and more frustrations through things I did wrongly cost me dearly in time. I was up all day and night, trying to make things right again. Humph!

Carol, the ex-carer, who is standing in for Esther, came in, but of course, I could not hear her. Good job that I wasn’t using the bucket or medicating any bleeding areas at the time. I mentioned that it would be best if she pressed the doorbell before coming in. I spoke very matter-of-factly so as not to hurt her feelings. She apologised, and I said there is no need for that; you were not to know. She’s a lovely lady. She took the laundry for washing and said she will return. Bless her.

Now all the scribbling I’d done for over 14 hours was getting harder to read. I think I see “To the waste chute with Richard… Stubbed Toe and then mixed in. Back at the flat – Carol returned with the washing. But there is a lot of writing that means nothing to me now. Grungleturds! Carol and I had a natter, and she left the bag in the junk room for me. I still haven’t got around to taking the clothes out as hung up yet! It’d been the sort of day.

I do remember a … Oh, yes! As Carol was leaving, I, yes me! Realised I’d not paid her yet! Which I did, post haste… well, as soon as I found where I’d left my money, that took the edge off of my smugness, Hahaha! Another line of nothingness on the pad.

As I sat down to check on the Amazon delivery tracker, Anne Gyna kicked off, and she made a good job of it. So much so that like yesterday, I took gulps of Pentax, and having taken an extra Beta-Blocker, I dare not take any more, so took a Codeine 30g, but she’s been at me ever since. Even now, so many hours later, Anne is letting me know she’s still there, and it’s nearly midnight now! Being worried about Billum and HRH isn’t helping, I suppose. Worra day!

I then sorted it out. Better late than never.
The figures looked okay to me, and the body temperature was almost spot-on. Surely the NHS result configurator will show this time a lower overall figure? I put in the numbers on their site, And sure enough, I was nearly in the amber zone. Yee-Ha!
I had an email come in while I was making this graph copy. It was from the wonderboys at Iceland – telling me the order is on its way, but with a few changes – confusing ones at that!

At least I got some No-Bull mushroom steaks and Vegan Ice cream. Not that I needed the ice cream at all; after finding out how much I’d already got in the freezer when I put the goods away later when they arrived. Well, would it be impossible to put them away before they arrive? Hahaha! It’s also so sad that the best burgers, the No-Moo brand, have stopped being stocked by Iceland – The Gits! I can’t find any of the other shops that are stocking them! Humph! The Iceland order arrived. The chap went through and put the food bags into the kitchen for me.

I thanked him and offered a cold drink for both men. Vodka and lime and a G & T were selected.
I had an extra problem on my hands now. Reading the short life dates on the chips, potatoes, burgers and what was the other thing? I forget now; it seems like days since the delivery to me, with no sleep for so long. Grumps!
I got the things in the fridge as quickly as I could. I needed a bit of jiggling about to make everything fit in there.
I spotted the vegan cheese that I bought earlier. Must get that used up.
You see here on the left what I mean about my being overstocked on the vegan ice cream? That is because they  (Iceland) have stopped selling the No-Moo burgers, and I suspect that the ice cream might be the next to be abandoned. I have little confidence in Iceland’s system.

Got on the computer, at last, to start finalising yesterday’s blog. I can see another early morning to bed job for me again. But soon got disturbed. But on this occasion, I welcomed it, for it was Carol returning the laundry. This is when I got smug at remembering I’d not paid her, then looking somewhat of a , when it took me five minutes to find my cash so I could pay Carol. Tsk!

I found that two letters had been posted; one was the DVT Warfarin Anticoagulation figures and doses. The other was from the CT4N transport.

.

Some of the writing on the leaflet from CT4N I could read. The graph with the prices for each trip out and in, or in and out, was clearly seeable. So, I assume I can use my oldies bus pass to get the cheaper rate, I think. So, it will cost me £9 for each of the 24 sessions of the Diabetes Training or whatever it’s called.
I must see Deana tomorrow to see if she’s arranged a lift for each session for me. Cause I reckon it says I’ve got to ring them for each trip? The eight A4 double-sided pages on rules and actions needed to use them (DT4N) are just too small to read. I think I can feel Cataract Cathleen laughing inside my head. Hahaha!

He’s now playing away at drilling, and knock-knocking, with the occasion clattering sound effects. Not getting on well with the blogging at all here. However, I did finally get the Monday post done and sent off, 14 hours later than usual, to WP. Email links were sent out, and then the “Oh, Susana” tune chimed away.

It was the Amazon delivery. Well, a part of it anyway. The extra-large super-duper Ben’s hickory smoked barbecue sauce, my taste buds were tingling at the thought of it! It is mouth-wateringly tasty!
I think I must have got something wrong again when I ordered the writing pads. I’,m sure I used the steel ruler to measure that t the page size would be the same as the ones I’m using now… but no!
You see the pack of eight pads next to the BBQ sauce bottle – eight pads! The bottle of Ben’s is thicker than the pads are wide!
I think my Arithmophobia let me down again somewhere along the line in ordering these. Ah, well, I’m not really surprised. I’m just so annoyed with myself again!
Then the biggest time-coster of the day…
Last week, I made up some of the tabs, like the Whoopsiedangleplop one above, in this colour, ready to use here. I can even remember when I did them. Straight after, the metal-tasting reflux came up, followed by a scary Dizzy Dennis bout. Within minutes things improved, but although I was close to getting my head down, I stayed up all night CorelDrawing and creating the tabs. (Truth is, I was weary of sleeping in case the reflux came up again). I am a cowardy-custard!) So today should have saved me time, not cost me it!
I went to use the first one and realised I made them all the wrong size. I thought at first, slightly annoyed again, I’ll just have to edit each one with a new size; time-consuming, yes, but a damned site better than having to spend literally hours making a new set… I thought.
❶ I didn’t realise that the editor only allows you one edit per photo per graphic, and I could not alter them. ❷ But before I could start to create a new set, I had to clear the blog gallery of all the old ones, so they wouldn’t clash with the new ones! So, I did! ❸ Then, take all the old ones off of the hard-drive file to lighten the load on that, so I did! ❹ Double checking that the file and gallery were free of all the old ones, and at just the wrong moment shook me silly; I’ve no idea what I might have pressed as the cursor shot across the screen… but Corel Draw closed itself down!  I genuinely think I might have cried! ❺ As if she was mocking me, kicked off!

❻ I stopped, and a Dracula Depression fought its way through the pain to get at me. And a sad Inchy just sat in the chair here, saying nothing, but the Thought-Storms were raging. I felt so sorry for myself, then I felt ashamed, and it was me sinking to a new low… ❼ Silly, but I believed a mug of tea would somehow help and went to the kitchen to put the kettle on… ❽ I didn’t make it, for fortuitously I got a en route… which made me even angrier, I’m not one for getting angry, but this time I think I was; everything blurred for a short while as if I was walking through fire and smoke… I’m not joking! The pain I was in must have triggered some defence mechanism I’ve not had before. For I suddenly resolved myself not to be beaten – and returned to the computer, and admittedly with a certain amount of incertitude, restarted CorelDraw. ❾ Of course, then I had lost the last saved version of the file! So, I saved this saved version to the old name, and things looked good. Hope was in the air! ❿ Then, all I had to do was pray that neurotransmitters and SSS didn’t bother me again and spent well over two more hours getting the new set of tabs completed!
I’d not had a shave or wash; I was in agony and so tired… yet this new spirit of resistance won the day, and I could get on with this blog once again. A SUPER . But was soon disturbed, in the nicest way…

By Cheeky Charley, the cheerful tonight carer. Because last night, I had dropped a tablet, tonight she hand-fed them to me, one at a time. She washed my stomach, where some blood had dropped earlier in the day when bile came up, and Charley made sure I was feeling okay before she left, all chirpy and gay! I think tonight she was going on the Girlie-Night-Out, and if so, I bet she was the star of the show, wherever they went. Hahaha! ♥

Back to the blogging grindstone, but a happier lad… well, I say lad… I was so worn out mentally, but Anne Gyna eased off at last, and then I had a break and checked on the emails. To Billum and HRH Lisa, they had replied to my email, letting me know they were okay and recovering from a nightmare hospital visit for Lisa. The nightmare was the hotel they were staying in. So much noise they could not get any sleep. Youngsters with their music and noise. Which is so sad. Between the three of us, who all suffer from sleep deprivation, and all three of us get it at the same time! I’m just thankful their absence was not caused by illness or accident; they both have more than enough to cope with as it is. This news kept me going. I checked the email again.

Billum let me know a bit more of his Whoopsiedangleplops. HRH and he went through. A sad Tale of Woe. We three share that trait. Hehehe!

Evening All!

March 1st 2020: Inchcocks Diary

The Monday Nosh… Ode

It doesn’t look like it would get the taste-buds tingling,
Baked potatoes, sausages… something was missing?
But did I care? No, for the eyelids were drooping…
I wasn’t really eating, just refuelling…
The taste buds were pleased, the stomach revelling…
In as tastier a meal for months, I was eating!
The Thought Storms came but were untroubling!
I know, it’s so rare, but tiredness was growing…
The little banana for dessert, I was enjoying…
A lemon & lime yoghourt… I was happily guzzling!

Peripheral Neuropathy Pete attacked me, what for?
The yoghourt fell down my legs onto the floor!
Shaking-Shoulder Shirley joins in, and furthermore…
The TV remote flew away; where to? I’m not sure!
A right mess to sort out, but I did perdure…
No injuries, bruises or blood, but this, I can assure…
It left me with my sanity a little insecure!
Save some of the food to eat later? No, It’d lost its allure!

The March Begins...

Another very decent night’s sleep! I reckon six hours. With only two spring-awakes! I lay pondering on what’s what for today demand-wise. After a couple of minutes, I realised two things; ① It was late, and the mooring carer was almost due. ② I needed the Porcelain Throne. So, hoping for a better evacuation than yesterday, and having taken a few capsules of Dioctyl yesterday after the concrete-like evacuation, I bravely limped off and ventured to the wet room! Haha!

Another release, similar to yesterday’s but far more manageable in comparison. Which foolishly made me think, well, that’s better, perhaps things might improve today… What an idiot! You’d have thought I’d have learned by now, wouldn’t you?

While in there, I thought I’d get the ablutionisationing done. So I did! The teeth and nasal cleaning went fine. The shaving too, only thee tiny nicks two on the chin, one on the ear lobe. I can recall saying my Alto-Ego saying something like; Let’s not get over-confident, Inchcock, no more banging into owt or tumbling over. I know you’re worried about the Carer coming but just take care!”

Not a single banging into anything, only a handful of dropsies; I got the showering done post-haste without rushing and got the same feeling as when I woke up… a foolish feeling of semi-contentment and a smidgeon of a Smug-Mode. No toe-stubbing, no walking into the door frame on leaving the wet room; a full-on Smug-Mode was adopted! I hobbled into the kitchenette to make a brew. As cheery as is possible for me, and no particular reason, other than this threatening semi-confidence in its going to being a betterer day today? Worryingly!

The only ailments hassle were Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley and Cartilage Cathy. I got the kettle on as ♫ Oh Susan ♫ rang out, and Carer Richard came in. He got the medications, and alert wristlet alarm check done, then handed me a camera he says he does not use. That was kind. I gave him the new far too big to fit anywhere air fryer I’d foolishly bought. Exchange is no robbery, as they used to say. Hehehe!

Being his last call, we had an excellent nattering session and laugh or two, the moan, and I enjoyed it so much. Richard made for his bed, and I don’t blame him! Haha!

I made the brew and nearly moped the kitchen floor, but I left it for her to do as Esther might call. I got on the computer, but it was not good. The Peripheral Neuropathy nerve ends always start, contacting and losing it when I’m typing! It never fails. Grrr! So progress was snail-paced, made worse by all the errors and correctionalisationing I had to cope with.

I took a break and had a close look at the Fuji camera Carer Richard had kindly donated. Put some batteries in that didn’t work. Then looked on the web and found out how, or which way around they have to go, and wallah! It worked! I didn’t use it then, as updating Monday’s blog was so far behind. Got back to blogging…

The intercom rang, and it was the Iceland delivery that I’d forgotten all about coming. I know… Dementia Doreen strikes again! Because I could use neither camera, cause the computer card reader did not recognise them, I used an old one from file here; I’m getting fed up with this palaver every day. Got the fodder stored away and found an exciting occurrence, even for Iceland! ① The strawberries I ordered were on the last day before consuming; they sent them for free. ② Again, they substituted ordinary sausages for the microwave ones I’d ordered (Sent back). ③ Substituted water for another brand, same price. ④ No fresh peas. ⑤ No microwave sausages. Choices are getting sparse in all of the stores now, for supplies. Oh, dearie me!

He was working well all day today; he was noisy so often. But none of the bouts lasted for too long, so no complaints.

I eventually got yesterday’s blog completed and sent off. Went on Facebook, then WordPress Reader. Got around to doing Email checks and then WordPress comments. Had some long ones today, which put me further behind. Haha! But they are welcome; I love getting messages and comments.

Then, the arrival of cleaning operative dominatoress Esther. She was collecting the laundry. She told me to take off my shirt, and she’d take that. I asked if she could mop the kitchen floor for me later – But No! She doesn’t like my mop and bucket. So I gave her some money, as she said she’d get one she likes. Obviously, every time she comes, she’s talking and walking into other rooms without stopping… I reckon I heard about 40% of what she said. Hehehe! Someone else who one can’t do anything right, but can’t help still love ’em!

She took the laundry with someone else’s, and I treated myself to a banana. Do you see the size of it? Miniature, I think, Hahaha! But they just sit me down to the ground.

Tried to get on with the blog again… Oh, no, such luck! The Amazon delivery arrived. In it were three things; ① Treats for the nurses, Carers and (kind only) delivery people, in the form of some cans of Southern Comfort Whiskey & cola. ② A tray of 12 cans of Beef Chilli (for Josie’s Sunday meals), and ③ 24 cans of garden peas, I got these cause they are hard to find nowadays after the Covid-virus estimated staff levels. Iceland has stopped selling them altogether. Sainsbury’s have put theirs up from 30p to 50p! Ocado’s only brand they sell now is £1.49 a can!!! So, I got these in before they rise anymore in price! Argh! It’s getting worse. The rents have just been increased, and electricity is going up by 15% this month. Get it while you can, I say!

I took the rubbish from the delivery to the waste chute. Trapped a finger end in the cast iron lid, pulled my hand away sheepishly, and hit the knuckle on the edge of the metal lid.

I thought the day had started so well, too!

I was reet wee’d-off when I hobbled back to the flat. I decided to try on the Fuji camera again and got it going!!! These are the photos I took with the Carer Richard gifted Fuji.

I’ve got to work out how to get different sized pictures, but not now; too much left to do on the blog and running out of time, energy and willpower.

I took a shot of HRH Lisa’s presents, Marie’s Koala Katie, and Patties Teddy Bear, who have all become members of my family now and are chatted to and given a cuddle in their turn, every day in passing. 💜

I poddled off into the kitchen, taking this photographicalisation en route. It was not as dark as this came out, but the flash worked on it. I saw the potatoes on the counter near the microwave and realised I’d not had anything to eat today… Ooh! I tell a fib, I had the baby banana. Haha!

I opened the window, and I took this effort of the teatime view of the darkening but still pretty looking skies over Sherwood.

The ♫ Oh, Susana ♫ tune brought forth my Caring Angel, Julia! 💖

I instantly became another person; depression and worries faded, to be replaced with joy and admiration. Julia is such a caring Carer and is so helpful to me. We managed a little gossiping laughter, and she, as usual, brought my spirits up from the depths I was in before she arrived. Luckily, I was just replying to an Email from sweet Jenny, in which she mentioned the strawberries, which reminded me of the packet I had in the fridge for the evening Carer. I think I may have looked and appeared to be with it, by remembering… but words kept leaving me as I was talking, which soon had me back as a recognisable dodo! Hehehe!

Julia departed, and the dark depression of frustration soon returned. Also, the damned computer was not recognising the SD card again. Grrr! Damnangles and Groggleturds!

I pressed on with the blogging, making so many mistakes you wouldn’t believe it. Suddenly, as I got up for a wee-wee…

It was gone 23:00hrs! And I’d still had nowt to eat! I decided to pack in on the computer. So I did! I’ll have to do my best to catch up tomorrow.

Oh, no, I’ll read and reply to any comments on WordPress first. Three or four had come in.

Phew! Finally… at the end of the day (literally midnight), very most belatedly, at long last, I managed to get some nosh prepared! Despite feeling spot weary, I had the impulse for fish! So made a plate of battered fish fingers, fishcakes with peas in batter, potato waffles, yellow, red and black tomatoes for lunch, or dinner, no, supper. Maybe even breakfast? Hehehe! Another mini-baby banana, a pot of lemon & lime mousse, and two tiny tea cakes. No guilt filtered through at all! But it did after. Tsk! Taste Rating; 8.6/10, it went down a treat!

As I prepped for kipping sent took off the wristwatch, it seemed that it left a splat of bruising around the wrist? Not that it hurt at all, but once I detached the reluctant-to-leave my skin, watch, it started itching. Not that it woke me or anything. I was out of it for four hours solid! Again, praise to the Hemp capsules!

The London Philharmonic Orchestra could have come in the flat and performed Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture around the Beige, second-hand, £300, c1968, uncomfortable, recliner…

It reminds me, I also took a Dioctyl and some Docusate. The rock-solid evacuations might ease a little in the morning. Did you see that? That was me being optimistic!!! Me! Me? Worrying, innit?

Inchcock: Sunday 27th February 2022

Inchcocks Morning Ode…

There are some things of interest, some nostalgic…
I wish to admit to and share on this Samstag,
Like my being an insomniac…
But not a kleptomaniac…
My ailments ensure I move about, looking like a maniac!
My stomach doesn’t look like a sixpack…
The flesh wobbles, flails about, and bounces back…
This is not my only physical drawback…
Cateracted eyes are going; I can just see a haystack!
The hearing is fading, teeth covered in plaque…
Medical bother, I can’t get to see the quack,
My hobbling pace is down to that of a lollygag!
When Jillie came yesterday, she brought me a snack…
Did I mention it? To me, she’s an aphrodisiac! 💘

Inchcock: Sunday 27th February 2022

Gobsmacking! I woke up at 06:40hrs, having had an uninterrupted straight six hours of kip! At last! I think the Hemp capsules, just one at night, must be working! We’ll see!

The fight to free my substantially flabbier and grossly larger-stomached body from the £300, second-hand bought, c1968, nauseously beige-coloured, not-working, rusty, rickety, difficile, crumb-covered tatty recliner; went so smoothly! No Dizzy Dennis’s antics, Cartilage Cathy was hardly any hassle at all, and no toe-stubbing. Arthur Itis, Duodenal Donald, Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley, were all calm!!! I realised this may be bluff from the body, so I delayed going into a Smug-Mode!

As I was hobbling into the kitchen and working out how long I’d been asleep, I cracked the right shoulder against the door frame! The glasses came off, I dropped the empty bottle I was going to refill! Of course, I took in all in good spirits. After respectaclising myself and cleaning up the mess, and laughed away as I got into the kitchenette. Ahem!

I realised it was Sunday (I usually work these things out within an hour or so of waking up, you know). So, I got all the food and implements needed for Prepping Josie’s chilli stew. Doing pork for her today, for a change. Chopped the veg and added it to the saucepan with the seasonings.

As I rinsed out the lemon washing up liquid bottle before putting it in the waste bag, the bubbles went everywhere, including up in the air! Got back and reran the tap, but it was no good; the suds had died a death. Shame! Like lightning… well, I hobbled as fast as I could and got the Canon to photograph this min-phenomenon.

I got on the computer to finish off yesterday’s blog. The door chime chimed, and I thought it might be the Amazon man with the belated bleach, but it wasn’t.

It was the nippy, perky, Cheeky Charley Carer. Who told me off for spelling her name wrong. She got the medications sorted out, and we had a little nattering session. During which she took a selfie with the Canon, of both of us! Chose her choice of treats (Back of photo), and off she went, taking the waste bags with her. ♥ You just can’t help liking her!

Ten minutes later, ♫Oh Susana ♫ chimed again. It was the food from J Sainsbury’s. The chap took the bags through to the kitchen for me; that was a nice gesture. As he left, he mentioned that I did not look too good. Oh, I felt okay? The first thing I did was get the potatoes in a cool fark place. See the potatoes above? Sainsbury’s new slogan, Helping everyone eat better, Does not ring true, does it! They also had only one day’s life on Strawberrys and two on the yellow tomatoes. One substitute and two unavailable items;  Which really helps the new slogan get across, dunnit? ‘Sainsbury’s, Helping everyone eat better‘ Crap!

The food cupboard had room left in them both? And the fridge was looking most positively sparse! Ring-pulls on the peas and chilli were no longer on the cans.

No fresh garden peas are available, along with lemon cheesecakes. And the baked cheese curls were loose in the box, with no wrapping!

I wonder which overpaid dimwit came up with this Catchphrase-Motto’? Hogwash! Proof of J Sainsbury’s commitment to their new logo.

Got on with updating the Saturday blog via what bits I could remember and the scrawl on the notepad. I kept checking on the cooking meal for Josie, in between wee-weeing and blog working.

The intercom buzzed, and I thought the Amazon bleach had arrived, even though their Email said it would be coming twixt 15:00>18:00hrs. But I could see no one on the lobby camera? Mmm?

Eventually, I got the blog almost finished, then realised the time, and had to get the Josie-meal readied and served. So, I did! I’d made far too much. So I put another serving in the grey-lidded pot, so she can have another nibble later on. I have to say, this pork one did taste good when I tried a spoonful! Added the extra tidbits; The G&T, Yorkie bar, Cadbury’s chocolate mini rolls, cheese discs, a pot of Devon custard, and two tiny pots of pineapple jelly desserts. Then in a bid to get it to her before it lost its heat, I plodded out into the lobby and rang her bell. She soon answered the door, making her usual perusal of the meal, asking what is it this week then?

I told her I’d put pork instead of beef in the Chilli-stew this time. And again, she told me I’d have her looking like Betty Bunter. Can anyone remember the Betty Bunter character? I’m sure she was in a comic in the ’50s. The comic title was June! The lads had Billy Bunter and the gals Betty Bunter… not sure I can remember the comic’s name. I’ll have a look on the web for Betty Bunter later. Which I did, here she is! It was Bessie Bunter!

I got back to the flat and got all the washing up done. Then posted the blog off. Visited Facebook, WordPress Reader, WP Comments… all between taking wee-wees, of course. Tsk!

16:40hrs: The Amazon box of bleach arrived. As the deliveryman plonked it on the floor through the door – I thought… this is poor! I immediately had a bit of a panic-station, DEFCON-two warning come over me! I didn’t like the idea of the label being on the side of the box. Got it into the kitchenette and used the sharp knife to carefully open it. It was apparent that every bottle had leaked! Good job; it was crap bleach; it had only worked its way through the inner box. I had a bit of a kerfuffle as I got the bottles from the decaying box and into the sink. Where I checked each one and cleaned it with paper towels.

Having not long gotten over J Sainsbury’s insulting treatment, now it was Amazon’s turn to insult me. Some of the bottles weighed far less than the others; obviously, they had spewed out more bleach. Grumph!

I got on with cleaning and drying them, putting each one in the rectangular bowl, in case they leaked again later; at least the escaping bleach should be contained to some degree… I hope!

Francis

I nipped the Strawberries down to Francis’ apartment. I almost forgot about taking them for her this week. Slipped her a cheese twist pastry as well. I hope she likes the cheese twists… ♫ Come on let’s twist again, Like we did last summer, come on… ♫

Been such a busy day for me in some ways. Good job, I remembered, cause they were delivered with one-day shelf-life left on them by J Sainsbury’s! Oh yes… How does it go? ‘Sainsbury’s, Helping everyone eat better.’

Made a long-awaited start on this blog, and an hour or so later, the tune of ♫ Oh, Susana ♫ chirped up. I was so glad that Carer Julie came to see to tend to me.

Julie kindly listened to me moaning about the Sainsbury’s and Amazon deliveries. She even checked the bottles to see they were safe. She really is an Angel to me. America’s loss, and aged decrepit Nottinghamians gain. 💗

The Sherwood sunset was not as dramatic as it has been these last few nights, but still a wonderful Mother nature sight to see.

The blogging was slow-going yet again. I surrendered to the eyelids’ demands and gave up. I’ll continue in the morning. Hopefully, Hahaha!

Impute-Inchy, Friday 5th March 2021, Diary

A Touch of Class, from TFZer Nancy!

22:40hrs: I shot awake, with the thoughts of getting at least some advance templates done: For some reason, it was my day’s commitment, mission and incumbency! A resolution, willpower or even a dedication that has been scarce these last few months. Somehow, and I know not how – I knew I was going to get them done. Equally worrying was that I knew it was not going to be easy!

I even lay there on the recliner a while, planning a different way of setting them up that might save me some time. Fair enough, it didn’t work and cost me even more time… But. the fact that I thought about it, and tried, is the genuinely galvanising part.

But, first things first, a visit to the Porcelain Throne was needed. I manoeuvered my way out of the recliner, bit by bit, with comparative ease as well, caught my balance, and off to the wet room.

Well, this was an unexpected ding-dong of an evacuation. But it made a change. And for some reason or other, I was in a bit of a good mood with things at the time. Yes, it worried me as well! The same as yesterday, things took their time to start, and I got the crossword book out – another improvement here, I got one clue answered. Sad innit? One solution in three days and five Throne sessions! Tsk!

Once the movement began, it was one of the slowest I’ve ever coped with. And with so little evacuating as well. But Constipation Konrad was continuing his comeback, I think. Still, it was far less messy to clean things up afterwards! Mind you, the flaming cistern wasn’t coping with even such a minimal part-wet deposit! Several refills of the tank and many flushes later, I’d got it cleaned up, though!

I took the missed evening medications, and I did the Health Checks. Still, with an absolute determination to get the Templates done, there seemed no wavering on my behalf (Hard to believe, even for me!) I did the body temperature first on the easy-to-use Chinese, made in Hong Kong, contactless thermometer. Best reading for a few days methinks at 37.1°c The Chinese made Boot’s sphygmomanometer proffered the best readings for a while as well! SYS 148, DIA 68, and the PULSE at 88 bpm! The chart is looking like it’s improving somewhat as well. Temperature back in the green at long last!

A made a drink of Glengettie tea. It’s so lovely that the taste-buds are beginning to work again. Dang-nabbed AstraSeneka vaccine side-effects! Grrr!

I dedicated my time to getting the templates done and persisted for many hours before needing another Porcelain Throne visit. It replicated the first trip, but the tank actually took everything evacuated away, with just two flushes! I noted that the wrist alert bans had been trying to strangle me again! Hehe!

I returned to the computer and updated the Thursday blog. Not a lot needed doing. Emailed the link, Pinterested a few snaps, passed wind violently and started coughing something awful, and kept on doing so for a long time? Visited the WordPress Reader section and then onto Facebooking catch-up. I read and replied to the WP comments. A good came in today; that was nice.

Just before eight o’clock (Ten hours of Computing!) I’d got the templates finished! Yee-Haa! But no time for self-praising. For the ablutions had to be done, he would help me with sorting out the newly fire-proofed cupboard if the worker chap returns. And I need to get the waste bags to the chute and medical bottles to the recycling bin downstairs.

As I got into the wet room, I noticed blood on the jumper in the chest area? Hello, what’s this then? I asked myself. Well, you would, wouldn’t you? I discovered a cold or on the lip had caused the problem. Makes a change, Hahaha!

  • I dried up the leak with a kitchen towel.
  • Did teeth, and the split tooth started bleeding, so I had to dry that up, too. Only the one dropsy, mind!
  • Only three dropsies shaving. Two little nicks bled a bit, but nothing serious.
  • The nasal clearing went well, one dropsy!
  • The showering was started. But it became a smidge farcical! There cameth a landline phone call, that at first, I thought was coming for the radio show, ‘The Men from the Ministry’ on Radio Four Extra. By the time I realised this was not the case, and got my cold, coughing body out and to the telephone – it had stopped ringing!
  • Back into the shower, clouting my right shoulder on the door frame. Wich started SSS (Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley) off, as well as BPB (Back-P{ain-Brenda) too!
  • So, coughing, sneezing, and in pain, I resumed the showering.
  • Repeated dropsies of the shower-gel bottle later, the telephone rang again! Now, I was getting a smidge annoyed!
  • Out of the warm shower, the landline stopped again before I could get to it! Grangleplops!
  • Back yet again to the showering, at least I got around this time without any injuries!
  • But Expuslivications! Only Neopathic Pete launched into one of his adventitious right leg Neuropathic Schuhplattler dances! A short but brutal flailing performance and I just don’t know how I stayed upright, but I did!
  • I was cold again, coughing, and Cathy Cartilage joined in! Gadzooks, Crockledimdogs! and Gnatwrangles!
  • Guess What? The bloody landline rang again!
  • This time, with the pain, shivering, and in particular, the knee, I didn’t even get all the way out of the wet-room before the phone stopped!

The washed yesterday diabetic bamboo socks had definitely shrunk! Humph! Oh, and the fluid retention seemed to be getting worse today? Am I bovvered? Nope!

I should have been a physical and mental wreck by the time I got out of the wet-room. But, No! All the Accifauxpas, Whoopsidenagleplops and injuries, bad luck, etc. Still, I was singing away to myself as I shivered. The cold sore opened up again, the coughing started one more, and Cathy Cartilage was getting worse by the minute… But was I bothered? No! As I was getting soap powder and handwashing, I pondered why I felt so uncaring, take-it-as-it-comes? An atypical abnormality, even an illusoriness confused, baffled me. But I was not going to let anything to get me down. Why? Something like this would usually get me all hot & bothered, but not today, Josephine?

I simply pressed on with the hand washing and got the heavy long-sleeve jumper, the bamboo socks and pyjamas bottoms all washed, wrung, hung and done! I used Surf Soap powder this time, it smells as good as the liquid one, and things seemed to clean up alright.

Then, I got the waste bags made up, added them to the walker-guide trolley box, and put the recycling glass into a carrier bag to take down outside to the green bin after using the waste chute.

As I got to the door, a much-dreaded letter had been posted, so I investigated. Huh! The Water Rates going up again now! Another integral part of the Government and utilities claw-back campaign to pay for the Covid-19? So, if I remember right, suddenly starting last week, I’ve had notifications of increases in costs for; EE Mobile, Liberty-Global Virgin Media, Internet; the rent and service charges are going up. British Gas has gone through the roof, the Bank has reduced my interest from 3% down to 1.5%, and the free bus service has been removed. I’m sure there is something else that I can’t remember! Yet, even this news of more costs did not get me down??? I wonder if I’ve died and no one has told me?

I struggled but got the walker out of the door and went along the lift foyer to the waste-room.

Aha! A new poster on the side of the lifts. Water Supply Interruption, no sorry, disruption. It’s for Friday 19th 2021, between 08:00hrs > 17:00hrs. I’m assuming it is for March, as the 19th is a Friday?  Onwards I plodded, no longer singing now, to the chute, but I was coughing better… Haha! I got the six bags down the tube and returned and got a lift down the bin outside. It was a little dim and grim in the ground floor lobby?

Down in the elevator and out to the bin. Handed the bottles to caretaker Stephen… Whoops, I mean, Robert!

And back up in the lift. In the lift lobby on my twelfth-floor, I noticed that the Art Deco all at our end of the hall had now been painted over, the same as all the other ones! I’ve put a photo from last week under this mornings, to remind you of the how pretty it was, but not for long.

Do you agree that the patchy art deco was different? It was growing on me each time I saw it, but no longer, now we share a bare baron wall, along with all the other floors. Tsk!

I got in the three flats lobby, Horse-Betting Addicted Malcolm, near lets, Forgetful Josie far left, and demented Inchcock far right.

Got the trolley indoors, and it was getting late for me, and the weariness was dawning. But, I needed to start this diary and get it finished if possible, or mostly anyway.

So, I pressed on, but the zest was dwindling as time passed by.

Blimey, it was suddenly ten to five at night! Boy, oh, boy, that’s about 18 hours I’ve been up and about! As I checked with my watch, I found that whatever is causing it, the wrist bands, soap powder, I don’t know, the Clopidogrel returning, maybe? But the bits of whatever on the arm were bleeding again. Mayhaps the Warfarin has gone too high? That may account for the lip bleeding so badly earlier? Mmm!

I stayed awake long enough to make an order for Morrisons, on Amazon, for tomorrow A.M.

I gave up on computing and got some sarnies made up for the meal. A dagwood imitation on bread thins, with ham and tomatoes, with mini pork pies and chilli chicken and a bit of Marmite cheese.

Apart from the terribly tasteless bread thins, the disappointing Anchor butter, the dry pies, the wet bland chicken, soft tomatoes, the Marmite cheese disc was tasty! Oh, and the lemon yoghourt was curdling a bit. Overall flavour rating, a barely deserved 3⅜/10! Gawd, it was lousy!

Of course, I settled far too late to watch the Tales of the Unexpected. I put on a Heartbeat DVD, but in my state, I didn’t even get through five minutes of it and drifted off into a terrible (well, there were some good bits) dream-filled, disturbed slumber. I seem to keep waking and remembering bits, some that involved activities I can no longer perform but used to enjoy… then nod off dream again, and wake to ponder over what I’d been dreaming of! For some reason, I did not write anything on the notepad?

Ah, well!

Inchy – Thurs 30th July 2020: Horrendous, gruesome, busy, insufferable, and at times, hellacious day!

TFZer, Model Lona

Thursday 30th July 2020

Scots Gaelic: Diardaoin 30 Luchar 2020

03:40hrs: I almost fluttered into life this morning, mainly due to Saccades Sandra taking a while to let me focus visually, enough to risk getting up to move about. My attempts at getting some seeable vision by blinking and stretching the eyes with the forehead reminded me of butterflies and old black & white films. Eventually, things settled a lot, and I began to hunch my overly-weighted, bouncing-bellied body from the c1968, none-working, rickety, rusty, recliner.

As I had just got up on the pins and caught my balance, the need for the Porcelain Throne arrived. The innards enforced the urgency of the situation, by adding to its typical signs of stabbing pains, a gurgling sound, and mini-escapages of wind, that left a putridness, that seemed to follow me around for ages! Stick in hand, and being wary of the creases in the ever-moving carpeting, I moved as quickly as I could, to the wet room!

I just made it in time! The motion began entirely of its own accord. It was once again of the Diarhorrea Duncan mode, like yesterday, the only difference was it seemed to stop short, and I had to painfully force the last bits out. Argh!

I was foolishly, somewhat over-rigorously antisepticising a certain area, and Little Inchies fungal lesion started bleeding. I cleaned things up and applied the Corticosteroid cream generously, in hopes of stemming the flow of Warfarin and Morphine contaminated Haemoglobin. To my satisfaction, it did the job!

Manly, I merely winced, then threw back my head, and mockingly laughed at the pain! Eurgh-Ouch!

Thus,  Harold’s Haemorrhoids bled profusely, and much cleaning-up and medicationalisationing were needed. Oh, by the way, I’d like to sing the praises of Andrex Toilet Tissue here. So much less painful, and it allowed the first flush to remove everything! Shame, I’ve only got the one roll left, Tsk! I’ve got plenty more rolls though, that I’ve Christened ‘Ten-Flushes-Rolls’, left. Hehehe!

After cleaning and creaming certain areas in need, I departed off to the Kitchenette. Noticing how flipping cold it was this morning, in the flat anyway. The first thing I checked was if I had left a window open, but no.

Got the kettle on, and the Health Checks things out ready, and risked opening the thick-framed, light & view-blocking new windows, and attempted to take a shot of the morning view. As you can see on the right here, it didn’t come out very well, crap actually! Humph! It’s that bad, the Tate Gallery might be interested in showing it, perhaps?

Did the Health Checks, and was pleased with the results, the temperature showed as just ‘Low’, it might be stuck on this and not working? Tsk!

Made the brew of Assam Extra-Strong tea, went to the computer and got her going, and had to return to the wet room for a wee-wee. I’ve not had a leak like this for ages, of the VSWAOTP (Viciously-Spraying-Wildy-All-Over-The-Place) fashion. So, more cleaning and disinfecting had to be done. It’s a good job that I don’t have any friends to visit. I’d be cleaning their toilets, the wall, floor, and porcelain out of habit! Hahaha!

I found two photos from last night, one of the meats prepared for cooking, and then what turned out to be delicious Chinese belly pork nosh!

Crock-pot cooked potatoes, with just sea salt added. The fresh pod peas, boiled with a bit of castor sugar, Piccolo tomatoes, a disc of Marmite Cheese, and the Chinese Hoisin seasoned belly pork. I recall enjoying this one very much. A flavour rating of 8/10!

I pressed on and got a template made for tomorrow, then started this blog going. After about an hour or so, of relatively ailment-free botherations, I went to make another mug of tea, Glengettie this time.

After another fireman’s hosepipe-like wee-weeing, and cleaning up session, I went to get the vegetables prepped and in the crock-pot. I used the large one today, for the first time in ages.

Shelled the peas and cut the leeks. Then sliced some red onions, and added them all to the potatoes in the large crock-pot. Added some sea salt and Oxo vegetable stock. Put it on the low-setting, then got the things washed up I’d dirtied prepping the vegetables.

Only a few peas were dropped and lost. Not cuts with the knife! No burnt fingers either! Mind you, I did hit my head bending down to retrieve a lost pea. Hahaha!

Back to Computer Cameron, and did a search for any local Corona Virus updates.

Then got things ready to get the ablutions done. And off to the wet room, and looking forward to getting a shower, and talking to the Sock-Glide, in a sneering manner, as it sits there, sulking contemptuously, almost scathingly. Desperate to get back to cutting me, bruising me, tripping me over, stubbing my toes, and mostly donating blood blisters, and welts on my fingers! (Sorry, I’m losing it here!)

After checking that the Amazon delivery tracker, I(They have not reached the delivery base yet!) to make sure the slippers would not arrive early, I trundled off to the wet room.

Well, a surprisingly few Whoopsies suffered (Some, of course!) session!

The teeth cleaning went well, the shaving had only two dropsies (both razors). The showering, well. a few here, the showerhead dropped (2), and the shower gel bottle.

Drying off, the sock glide sat there, staring at me all the time. I’m, not sure it didn’t even scoff at me at one time! Hahaha!

Bit of a set-back on the medicalisationing tasks, though. Little Inchies fungal lesion started to bleed again, but only a bit. I double-winced as I applied the cream. I clouted my right elbow against the sink, then.

Probably the most entertaining new, a first-time-ever Accifauxpas! As I was holding the towel in each hand, going to and fro drying my back, Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters failed me! My right hand shot off, and I gave myself a hell of a thump, right on my nose! Cribblebogangonies!

A drop of blood flowed, I went dizzy, Saccades Sandra kicked off, the nose went red, and I felt a right fool! After cleaning up the tiny spots of blood, I just had to take a selfie of the red nose. But, by the time I’d got around to taking the photo, it had all but gone. Hehehe!

Well, Tate Gallery, are you interested? Or am I to think of something along the lines of the American minimalist sculptor, Carl Andre, and do something like his brick display? I can think of a few words to describe what I thought, and still do, think of it.

Pitiable, pathetic, lamentable, dismal, ludicrous, feeble, phoney, laughable, hair-brained, asinine, and glaikit, come immediately to mind.

Carl Andre, an artist? Pull the other one! Humph and Fiddlesticks! Art, my Arse!

I came out from the wet room, feeling in a half-decent mood. And decided to get the blue Mayanmar (Formerly Burma) made, Primark zip-up 100% Polyester, £9.99, top washed.

You can see how well I live can’t you, pure class!

I really didn’t think it would be quiet as dirty as it was! Cor Blimus, I rinsed it that often until the water came clear, it must have taken me an hour before I got it done, wrung and hung above the sink to drip-dry! Dirty Inchcock! It should be dry by about September.

I make a brew of Thompsons Punjana tea. And took a shot of the City Hospital. Where my Xyrophobia suffering, over amour propred Brother-in-law Pete, pools winner and three-time Lottery winner (Not counting his up-to-now 278 scratch-card wins – counts them every week you know!), went in for his Big C treatment, and I got good vibes back while I was taking it. Fingers crossed, for the lucky, handsome, hair on head, clever-with-his-hands, electrical genius!

I rang out the hanging shirt come jacket, as I have been doing regularly since having washed it. Then returned to the updating on this blog, I’m getting a little weary now, and reckon the Amazon slippers will arrive late today. And still haven’t caught up on the WordPress Reader and Facebook yet!

An hour or so later, I went for a mug of Glengettie tea. Amnd noticed I’m not-half doing some sneezing?

I returned and took this photo on the right, from the computer chair, of the view out of the balcony, on my left.

I then went on the WordPress Reader section. Then onto Facebooking, to try and catch-up. A bit slow going on the computer again. Humph!

I thought as you do, I’ll enlist with Sainsbury’s, and make an order. What could go wrong? Hah!

The hands were bad, Nicodemus again. But I signed on with them and started doing an order. When it came to the checkout, well, what performance. All the numbers and details they wanted, and I must have made so many mistakes, cause I to repeat things sop often, I ren out of time and I got blocked by them!

Then I found I was supposed to have signed up with Nectar, that was of great confusion for me, the numbers and passwords was a nightmare, after filling in the pages, it kept coming back that the details were wrong! I had to repeatedly reset at least four passwords and I got myself into a bad panic (My numbers phobia again), in a right muddle.

Then I got blocked for a second time for not completing in the given 30/40-minute (Security) window!

Then Nectar sent me another password reset, and I just didn’t know what I was doing! The only time I wished I lived with someone for years, no help, no time to get any. everything was being tightly timed, and Shuddering-
Shoulder-Shirley kicked-off, Oh dear!

Eventually, Gawd knows how, but I got back on the Sainsbury page, and they had kept the order I was doing on the page. Then I had to put in all the bank details again. More passwords needed! Then I had reset one a second time!

The scribble on my notepad was barely readable! But, I found a doggedness, and eventually, signed in again with Sainsbury’s (3rd time), and had yet again, to put in the card details, with time running out for the third time!

I got the order sent off eventually, but I had to confirm various details again first, and I kept getting emails… Crap!

Then, when they accepted payment, sent me details, I found they had charged me £7 for delivery!

Believe it or not, I’m feeling proper poorly now. I can’t cope on my own anymore.

I’ll just have to take that offer up to marry me from Michelle Pfeiffer, then.

And the slippers have yet to come, the vegetables for the stew have been overcooked methinks!

Then the INR test result record was delivered. From Monday’s blood giving. Took them a while this week, and I realised that no one from the surgery or Anticoagulation and Deep Vein Thrombosis Clinic, had called with me new dosages.

Pathetically, I felt a little sorry for myself, after such a reasonable day as well. Then realised I’d been up for fourteen hours, Nicodemus and Shirley were both pestering me, what a state to get into.

Then I realised, in getting signed on with Sainsbury’s and Nectar, had cost me three hours of my life! And left me drained, and wee’d off. I’m guessing the numbers and figures going all wrong, has started this depression off, but I’m only guessing.

No one to talk to, fall out with, and even Herbert is not knocking and banging about today! Ah, well, Que sera, sera!

I’m not even feeling hungry yet, what’s going on? Hahaha! Knick-knockers!

I’ll see if the slippers are anywhere near, on the Amazon tracker.

My stupidity continues! It knows no bounds! The Universe is its Oyster! I looked at the tracker and it was showing the map. I saw the red circle, and assumed the van was outside the flats! So, I went and stood near the intercom waiting for it to go off. I stood there for ages, too scared to move in case I didn’t hear the pathetic, weak tone of the intercom box when it went off. It can’t be much longer I said to myself. But it was!

Forty minutes later, I nipped back quickly to check on the tracker again, below on the original tracker when I looked, I widened the picture and realised the red circle was the flats, a green one was the lorry, that didn’t show up on the first screen, thus, this old fart was confused! What a pillock!

I was just glad when the driver did eventually get up to the flat, it was about an hour later. He was in a terrible rush, dropped the bag on the floor and shot off! I don’t think he heard my thank you, especially as it was being interfered with by Stuttering Stephanie!

I put the well-squashed bag down, dropping the four-pronged metal stick as I did so, and of course, naturally, as is to be expected, it goes without saying, came down and hit my toes! Grubblesoddit!

I tore open the bag, to reveal the semi-flattened brown slippers, with outside-soles! Tsk!

I tried to reshape them, had a modicum of success too.

I got the vegetables out of the slow-cooker and into the pan of canned stewed steak, seasoned with some gravy salts. Came back to this computer, and within minutes I could smell burning! I limped ASAP into the kitchen, to find the pan of stew bubbling merrily away! I’d turned the heat up, instead of off!

Is there any hope or future for me? Grobbleknangles! I wonder if there’s a Senior Citizens adoption society or Grandpappy Replacement Union? No, that wouldn’t be fair on anyone.

Shattered as I felt, I had to make up a template for tomorrow. So through closing eyes, Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley, and the Stinging Harold Haemorrhoids, I did just that. Smug-Mode-Engaged!

Went on the comments to catch up, I’ve had a wickedly busy day again.

I grafted away at this blog until fatigue defeated me! Managed to make a template for tomorrow, then I went on email to sort out all the harassing from Sainsbury’s and Nectar, but mainly, cause I’m feeling guilty for not answering Lisa until so late, so I’ll do that first.

I may be back… Hahaha!

I’ve replied to Lisa, at last, and had a bash on the WordPress reader.

Went to make a brew of Glengettie tea, and despite it being so late, the Sun was high and blasting.

A lovely evening, weatherwise!

Shattered, I am! I’m going to post this off now, then get summat to eat, the stew, if it tastes alright overcooked.

TTFNski, each!.

Inchcockski – Sunday 19th December: Busy, messy day, got some photos taken, Back-Pain-Brenda not happy at all!

WD 128.0.128 23:20hrs: I bestirred, to find an awful lot of signs of nocturnal-nibbling around me. Then until 00:30hrs, all is recorded in yesterdays diary.

00:30: I got on the computer to update the Saturday blog, which was a sad day, no chinwags or signs of any other tellurians. But then again, with the memory-loss, finishing off the post did not take as long as usual. I soon had it sorted and sent off. With only one wee-wee needed the whole time, mind you, it nearly filled the GPWWB (Grey-Plastic-Wee-Wee-Bucket).

7Sun02WD 128.0.128 Then, I went to take the morning medications, and found I had not taken the evening ones! Tsk! The monitor supplied by Nottingham City was off the green on both sections. But being as I don’t know what humidity means, I didn’t worry.

WD 128.0.128 Made a brew, and when I went to press down the contents of the waste bin, I spotted part of the meal I thought I’d eaten last night!

I put some bits on Pinterest, then went on the WordPress Reader. Lots of good stuff on this morning. Then TFZer Facebooking.

StarbucksI got going on a funny ode that came to mind from nowhere. The incident dates back a few months. I was in town on South Parade, the rain took a nasty turn for the worse, and the heavens opened. I joined some others under the cover of the Starbucks coffee shop doorway. I was asked to move as my trolley was blocking peoples access, so, no problem, I hobbled away into the rain. I got the task done, with doing the graphics, it took me over three hours to get it something like right.

The Ode tells of what happened next. It is here: Whoopsiedangleploppery

Then it arrived, the belated call to the Porcelain Throne. A slow, uncomfortable evacuation, but not too painful this time. Minimal bleeding. And, not messy either. Quite copable with.

At last, time for a break and mug of tea. While the kettle was boiling, I opened the unwanted, unliked, impossible to get at to clean, light and view-blocking, thick-framed, window. The wind-letting-in new windows, with the sticking-out too far ledges that prevent me from viewing down onto Chestnut Walk to see if any emergency vehicles coming on-site, due to my not being able to hear the fire alarm.

7Sun02

I took one shot (left) in Aperture Priority status, the second in Night-Landscape mode

I did a Morrison order and told them of the short-dated mushrooms (one day) and damaged can of Daniels coke. I don’t know why I bothered.

WD 128.0.128 I had a jolly-decent ablutionalisationing session. The dropsies in total were, wait for this…it’s true; only four! The least ever since the stroke! Razor, carbolic soap, body spray and, unfortunately, the Sock-Glide, which ensured it hit the toes as it landed! Smug-Mode-Adopted! Yee-Ha! Oh, hardly any bleeding from Harold or Inchies fungal lesion, either!

No sooner had I left the wet-room, and the Porcelain Throne summoning returned, back into the wet-room I poddled. But nothing happened! No movement at all, it didn’t feel blocked, no gurgling, no innards-pains, just not interested. The Smug-Mode was cancelled!

7Sun03

But, it gave me a chance to have decker at the pins (legs). Aha, a change in colour, and a new blemish! I’m so lucky to have this interesting ‘leg-status’ changes every day. Just think, there are people out there, with dull, staying-the-same pins. Missing all this excitement of searching and medicating the blood-papules, Clopidogrel lumps, deep vein arterial thrombosis, spider and varicose veins! The weal’s, scars, bumps, bulges, spots, bruises, welts, contusions, blemishes, and boils. And, even now still, getting amazed at the daily transformations. I am blessed. Hehehe!

I planned Josie’s meal-making. Got the haddock & cheese ball and smoked haddock fillet in the oven, peas in the pan, tomato ready in the slicer, the crispy onions warming, sliced the beetroots and got the gin & tonic and limoncello dessert on the tray. Looking good now.

7Sun04WD 128.0.128 WD 128.0.128aI started the Back-Pain-Brenda annoying task of emptying out the shelves under the sink, in readiness for tomorrows visit from the Nottingham City Homes plumber. But didn’t get very far, for two reasons, the agony from Brenda, and the clump on the chin I’d given myself bending down to get to the cleaning stuff! Hahaha, what a clot!

7Sun05Josie’s nosh was served up, and the dishes put in the sink to soak. Making the red Leicester cheesy-mashed-potatoes don’t-half make a mess of the mixing bowl, fork and spoon used! Onto the wheeled server, and out of the door, two paces and I was ringing her bells. (Hehehe!) We had a little natter, and she handed me a tray of leaf-salad, as a thank you.

I returned to the untidy, messy flat, and got the washing up done. It took some time and effort, as usual, to get the spoon, bowl and fork freed of food and cleaned.

I got the Nikon camera in the three-wheel-walker, donned my heavy coat, and off I went to take some rooftop photographs from Winwood Court.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Despite the bright dazzling sunshine, it was bitter cold on the roof. I didn’t stay up there for too long, took a few photographicalisations and got back in sharpish! Down in lift and out through Windwood Courts entrance, to take some pictures as I hobbled down Chestnut Walk back to my beloved colder than Winwood,  but warmer than outside, Woodthorpe Court. I took a shot showing Winwood and Winchester Court, then Winwood and Woodthorpe Courts.

7Sun21

As I ambled limpingly along toward Woodthorpe, I had an aphoristic moment of meditational reflection. I would never have thought I’d end up like I have done. Alone amongst so many others, possibly many of them thinking the same.

7Sun17The plastic and metal new ticker fitted. Duodenal Donald. Cancer of the bladder and prostate. Reflux Roger. Kidney Kevin. Arthur Itis. Peripheral Neuropathy Pete, Saccades Sandra, then the stroke; Mind you, I was pretty surprised I was even here, considering the last few years problems.

There was no feeling sorry for myself or anything like that. Just a sort of ‘How the heck did this happen’ feeling. Hehehe!

As I hobbled by the Electric-Vehicle Recharging Points, I saw a funny in the situation. Why has no one come-up with electric 3-wheeler-trolley-guides? Then I realised, with my absentmindedness, abstraction, amnesia, falling-asleep at a whim, and memory-blanks; I’d only do the same thing as I used to do with the laundry washing, I’d forget all about it being on! Sad, I know, but laughable at the same time. Hahaha!

7Sun18As I got in the foyer, I spotted that someone had been ornamentalisationing! A bit of decoration for us! I made sure that I did not go near the edge of the ledge, cut of but not painted shelf and pottery. If I had a Shaking Shaun, Wobbly William, Dizzy Dennis, or right-leg Neuropathic Schuhplattler dance when close to them, they wouldn’t stand a chance of not being knocked 7Sun06over and broken! Tsk! Very pretty and easy on the eye, I thought.

I meandered up to the flat, in a sort of neutral frame of mind, more relaxed than of late.

A mega-wee-wee, wash, then I decided to get on with the handwashing. Heavy work this time, the thick jammie-bottoms, the thin (How as it lasted so long) dressing gown, a  pair of socks, and a long-sleeve t-shirt.

WD 128.0.128a Feeling unexplainably energetic, I had a go at sorting the cupboard under the sink again. But I pulled the back again, Back-Pain-Brenda kicked off, and I gave up once more. The energy drained away. Humph!

7Sun19I took the medications, with an extra Codeine 30g, to counter Brenda’s bother. And reviewed the fodder situation. I was beginning to fade fast, and opted for a simple meal of rice and garden peas, with BBQ seasoning added. Which was not scintillating, but sufficient, considering the amount of food I’ve thrown away due to making the meals too large, was more than enough. Taste-rating; 7/10.

WD 128.0.128 At least the washing up was going to be easier this time…I thought! There may have only been a bowl and two spoons that needed doing, but I had not envisaged by knocking the hanging to dry dressing gown off of the bar it had hung on above the sink! What an absolute Schmendrick!

Whoopsie

I made up this photo from memory, in the morning to go on here. Haha!

Down the wet coat came, landing on me, in the washing up bowl and getting water on the kitchen floor. I was scunnered!

Then, of course, had to sort things out. Dry my self off, then the floor and cabinets, change the washing up water and do the pots again.

And most aggravatingly, wash the dressing gown again! During all this bending, Back-Pain Brenda, got very nasty with me, de novo!

I was now flaked-out. I got in the £300 second-hand, c1968 sickeningly beige coloured, tatty recliner. There were three Ramsay kitchen thingies showing in succession that I planned to watch. Hahahahaha! No chance!

Inchcock Today – Tue 7 Jan 2020: Busy-busy, hectic day. The caecity of faith and hope, shattered! Or, not, like?

00:05hrs: I stirred, back in the regular needing the Porcelain Throne mode. Without delay, I cumbersomely removed the misshaped body, with odd-sized legs now, from the £300, second-hand, c1968, scarily putrid beige-coloured recliner, and grappled my way to the wet-room.

2Tue13

The now messy offending carpet!

WD 80.0.0 Unfortunately, en route, I tripped on the curled up bit of carpet edging, lost my balance, and ended up on the floor, via the electric fireplace and the clothes dryer – and squashing the wooden walking stick in my rib-cage! But nonetheless, the need for the Porcelain Throne prevented any self-pity or rolling around in agony. The fear of an accidental release was too intense for me to mope! I rose like a right-hero (well I thought so), with the assistance of the solid recliner arm, and continued on my way for the evacuation.

A just-in-time job again. However, it went well this time. No bleeding from Inchies Fungal Lesion, and very few spots from Harold’s Haemorrhoids. Plus it happened so quickly, there was little pain as well!

2Tue06WD 80.0.0 Mind you, the tumble had left me with a few aches and pains. Arthur Itis was not happy, and Anne Gyna joined in. A tiny bruise on the hand, (which looked more wrinkled and warped than usual?) The wrist ached, and the rib-cage feeling tender, were the only things that really bothered me. (The headache started later) Hehe!

2Tue01I noticed after cleaning up, that the difference in the size of the legs, was more marked as well. They appeared really odd to me. And much paler than of late, but less pot-marked. I assume the odd mark above the knee was from the earlier Whoopsiedangleplop.

I returned to the front room and sorted the mess I’d made out. But couldn’t get down to level up the carpet. Partly, I think through fear of not getting back up again. When I went over, I had the trepidation then, helping me to rise from the floor. Fear of getting caught short! Ah, well!

I went and took some pictures of the moon before it got away in the clouds. I did them in Auto mode, as Tim recommended.

2020 WTreb Jan7

WDP 003dWD 80.0.0 I checked on the t-shirt delivery day and found that the ETA had been changed to Thursday. Christ! After all that planning and rearranging, so I could get to visit HRH Sister Jane as well! Well-pissed-off with this! After some investigative site manipulations, I changed the delivery to three days and got away with it, so I changed the calendar. I hope they do not change it again! Swine!

2Tue02

WD 80.0.0m To the kitchen, and made the first brew of the day, Thompsons Punjana. Lovely! Imbibed the medications, and had another rubbing in of the gel session on the knees, ribs and lower back. Then to the computer to get the updating done of yesterday’s blog. Phwert! It took me many hours to get done! So many photographs to sort out, the Ocado order coming, so having to get the ablutions done earlier than usual, and any concentration I had, was all over the place. All combined to make it gone 0900hrs before I got the post finished! Thank heavens the nerve-end were not playing up to much this morning!

And the pathetic wee-wees kept disturbing me and my thought patterns. Gawd, I can’t remember ever needing so many, and they were all of the SHDTBS (Starting-Heavy-Duty-Torrential-But-Short) mode. Which on their own were tiring me out! Humph!

2Tue04aI had to stop doing the post, so I could get the ablutions done before the Ocado delivery came. The dropsies were not no worse than normal, only two little cuts shaving.

But the difference in the size of legs (I’ve got two you know? Haha!), was getting ridiculous now! Blimus!

2Tue05I took another shot of them in case the first one had got warped somehow or other. The mark on the knee was a bit tender when I pressed it. So I suspect it is just a welt or bruise coming up.

I went to the kitchen again and made a mug of 2Tue07Glegettie Gold tea. Superb!

The intercom flashed. It was the Ocado delivery arriving. I dug out the carrier bags from the last delivery and took them to the door. The young put the bags inside the front door for me and said something I didn’t catch, he was off.

2Tue08I said a thank you, but I don’t think he heard me properly.

I unloaded the carriers and put the stuff on the counter and serving tray, so I could check them against the email of what was delivered.

Well, doing this was a waste of time for sure!

When I got to the computer, no confirmation email had been sent to me! Oh! That wasn’t nice at all of Ocado!

How am I supposed to know if any substitution were made? Or if any product was on offer or not and I had been charged correctly?

Ah, well, I only use them when I need what I cannot get anywhere else anyway. Such as Glengettie and Glengettie Gold, as well as Thompsons Punjana tea bags.

So, back to the kitchen to put the things away. I found some things I cannot remember ordering? Like the Venison burgers? Something I had never had before or wanted to try really? But, knowing me when I get Dizzy Dennis or Shaking Shaun moments, anything could have happened.

2Tue08a

WDPH01L2The King roasted cheese cashews nuts, must have been expensive? I’ll look up the price of them up on the web. Crickey, I paid £3.30 for 120g of them! How much does that make them for a pound? Never mind, I can’t work that out! But did the Sensory nerve-damaged fingers order them? I don’t think the brain did! Hahaha! No, I meant Soddit! Still, how much was Venison Burgers? Ah, they were half-price at £1.65, I could well have meant to get them then. I downloaded the well-hidden receipt, and found that the Chilli bean, Irish Butter and the smoked ham were all substitutions! Never again, will I trust Ocado; they can go on the list of (worst first) Tesco, Iceland, Ocado, Amazon and Morrisons as the most-rotten apples in the orchard of retailing!

I finally got the Monday blog finished and sent off. Phew!

9:10hrs, I had about the twentieth Wee-wee of the day, and the intercom burst forth again. It was the delectable, desirous, Nurse Christina arriving to take my blood. She also, helped me, by moving the carpet and getting rid of the bulge I fell over, for me. And also, rang the chiropodist and made an appointment for me. Bless her cotton socks and twinkling eyes! She had to rush off, which was sad, and yet understandable. Her assistance was invaluable. Thank you, Christina. ♥

2Tue14I took a shot of the rainy view outside, from the open kitchen window as I made another brew, in between two successive wee-wees!

This can’t go on like this surely?

I got with beginning this blog off.

At about 13:50hrs, I got the stomach-cramps. Why I don’t know. But I was soon beyond working on the computer, as Saccades Sandra started playing me up, and the knees (Not Arthur Itis), the injuries from the fall, and tiredness dawned.

I felt like a gibbering wreck. Not too good at all, but I had to stay awake for the Amazon delivery, Oh, dearie me!

I did check the eta of the delivery 2Tue12for the t-shirt.

It was about 1400hrs now, and I couldn’t really start the meal cooking, and dare not put the TV on for fear of not hearing the intercom. So I turned off the computer, my concentration shot to pieces anyway. Then started some handwashing, and hoped it would arrive soon.

IDSCN1505 went to check the bags ready to take to the waste chute later had not leaked and found the parcel with the t-shirt in it, had been squashed through the letterbox! I had only looked at the tracker minutes ago, so I got the computer back on and looked again, and it said delivered. ‘Posted Through letterbox’!

DSCN1506I opened the package. A most disappointing purchase, dead thin material, no wonder it said quick-drying on it. Tsk! Never mind.

Computer off again, a wee-wee, a wash, and I got around to checking out the venison burgers.

DSCN1507The oven was heated. The mushrooms in the crock-pot and peas and potatoes in the saucepan were turned down to low. I sprayed some oil on the oven dish tray and got the burgers warming up.

Another wee-wee, this time of the annoying SSP (Short-Sprinkly-Painful) type. I had wash next.

DSCN1509After keeping a careful eye on the foods, they came together cooked, and I got the feast onto the plate. Sliced tomato, new potatoes, garden peas, and mushrooms. The two wholemeal baps were a perfect size for me to eat the venison as beefburgers. I liberally dowsed the meal with caramelised onion chutney.

Everything went down well. These venison-DSCN1510burgers at half-price were worth it, but I wouldn’t pay full price for them. Even so, I ate it all up! Hehehe!

A flavour rating of 7/10 given.

I put the pots in the bowl to soak, then moved the handwashing on the airers.

I got down in the £300 second-hand c1968 recliner and had the worst ‘brain-thought-storm’ I’ve had for a long time. A rush, a mangled, disorientating mishmash, a gallimaufry of galling fears, worries, which left me with apprehensiveness and disquietude. And oddly, feeling worn-out and cherophobic?

Which may have unintentionally helped me, to get to sleep?

Inchcock Today – Wednesday 11th December 2019: Poorly, Plutonian and pitiful day! Hey-ho!

1 Dec 11

Wednesday 11th December 2019

Portuguese: Quarta-Feira 11 Dezembro 2019

01Dec 11

22:00hrs: Woke up early, but then again I fell asleep early, too. The Hum, the droning grinding, piss-offing, tormenting wind-like howling sound was the loudest as I can ever remember it being. At one stage it sounded like an old tube radio that had been left on full volume, and the station had gone off the air! Argh! I later found a map of ‘The Hum’ reported locations. The UK seems to be getting the worst of it… nothing new there! They say only 6% of the population can hear it. Lucky sods those who can’t!

3Wed001

I rose with ease, got the stick and went for a wee-wee. Which turned out to be a rare PWWDIB (Pathetic-Weak-Why-Did-I-Bother) mode. However, the EQ cautioned me to fetch the GPEWWB (Grey-Plastic-Emergency-Wee-wee-Bucket) into the front room near the computer. Because things felt a little out-of-order in the urination-storage tank department this morning, and I felt sure it would be well-used later on.

I abandoned the comfort of the £300, second-hand, c1968, abhorrent, nauseous beige-coloured, rickety recliner, rose on my feet and grabbed the four-pronged walking stick. Yet again the balance was reasonable, no Shaking Shaun, no Dizzy Dennis, the right-side Peripheral neuralgia seemed calm, too. The finger-end failing sensory neurotransmitters were shaking the fingers, but I would never have known without looking at them. This later made my brewing-up a mug of tea interesting. Only Duodenal Donald was in a bad mood at this moment.

3Wed001b

I took a couple of pictures of the moon.

Into the kitchen, and got the kettle on. Took the medications, dropped the jammies pants and massaged some Phorpain Gel into Arthur Itis’s knees. Had a swig or two of the pathetically inept, picayune, Peptac ulcer medicine. Made the tea, then went back to the front room and to get the computer on.

I seemed to be doing well manoeuvrability wise. Amour-Propre-Mode-Adopted!

Got on with finalising the Tuesday Inchcock. Despite the finger-end insensitivity to touch, I got it finished in record time! That sounds impressive, doesn’t it? Truth is, I only had one last photograph to go on, so that saved the time, not me. Hehehe! I got it sent off to Facebook. Then went on the WordPress Reader. Some excellent posts and photographicalisations on today.

Next, I visited the TFZer Facebook page for a couple of hours.

I went on to make some graphics and tomorrow’s template. (4 hours!) That took a while. The nerveless fingers are playing up. Then I got some bags of treats ready in case Sister Jane and Brother-in-Law Pete call tomorrow. (That’s the same xyrophobia-suffering, philargyrist Brother-in-Law Pete), who broke the recliner and stole my valuables on the pretence of keeping them safe, while I was in the hospital stroke ward.

WD 0.30.0B I got the black bags made-up and taken to the waste chute at the other end of the floor’s lift lobby. Coming back out of the cubby-hole, Dizzy Dennis attacked! A bad one, I had to wait for ten minutes or so, before I dare walk back to the flat. I realised later that I was looking down the chute just before Dennis visited? I was feeling a lot better as I got through the flat door.

WD 0.30.0B Out of the blue, I had to rush to the wet room, I was bilious. I cleaned the porcelain up, but did not move, I sat down on the throne, I was still feeling a tad nauseous. No more bother, so I went and made a mug of tea, to try and get rid of the horrid taste in my throat from the spewing up. I also took some Peptac.

WDA 0.30.0 I got the ablutionalisationing done. A few dropsies, a couple of little tiny cuts shaving, but the worst, was a painful left foot big toe stubbing! The legs were a tad rougher again, no walking you see!

3Wed01ga

Dizzy Dennis decided for me, I would give up on the computerisationing and cleaning I’d planned. Another heavy bout of the dizzies, during which I clouted my shoulder against the door frame. I decided to stop everything and just sit down in the none-working Brother-in-Law knackered recliner. Writing this, reminded of the visit tomorrow. The radio said it could be -2° in the morning. And how I was feeling, I may ask them to leave calling until another time. Then, the sneezing started!?!? I soon fell asleep. Dreaming of a cat named Loki, playing in deep snow with me.

WD 0.30.0B I shot awake a couple of hours later, and somehow thought of the Global-Liberty Virgin Media shit-head boss, who is cutting the service on Friday for about 5-6 hours! This forced me to get up and back on the computer. I wanted to finish this early, so I could get some template graphics from the web before it goes down. As Virgin put it: We’re doing some important maintenance work in your area – We know how important it is for your brilliantly fast and reliable Virgin Media services… Hang on! I’ll double-check that; Yep, Brilliantly fast and reliable Virgin Media service? Hahahahahahaha! Wackerplonkers!

There was no need for meal-making tonight, I couldn’t face one. I did have a drink of Orange Juice and nibbled a few nuts, but now as I settle to do CorelDrawing work, the stomach is grinding now! I may have caught a bug. Tsk!

I changed my mind, I thought I’d close this and post it off now. Then if I do fall asleep and wake up with no internet service, it will be done first. Fingers crossed!
