Well! Another struggle, but of differing natures.
Gone were fleeting visits of ‘Out-Of-It’ Ollie.
The momentary Mind-Blanks too.
The odd toe-stubbing…
The odd struggles to form words when I spoke.
Stuttering Stephanie had changed as well.

All the above kicked of early wakening (05:45hrs),
and stayed with me until almost midnight!
I’ll need a new nickname for this.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Good morning.

Woke up and took off the night bag.
The feet were again looking much better.
Off to the . Back to messy!
Washed the pots from last night.
Got the done, then the.
again. Fed up with carrying the water in
a bucket and bowl to refill the water tank.
Sorted the waste bags, and got the kettle on.
The day bag had filled up quickly!
The took well over two hours this morning.

Carer Sam arrived, and she did the medication. I meant to ask her to help me put the shoes on for later when I go to cast my vote in the election procedure down in Winwood Court. I think I forgot to ask her.
She took a photo of the affected right eye, so I could show the district nurse if she comes. Left in the picture above.

Morrison’s email arrived, saying it was on the way.
I turned off the computer and ready things for when it comes.

Which it did shortly…
Got some new drinkies in for the Carers, delivery drivers, Wardens and hopefully, crossed-fingered, the nurses.
The fridge stocks looked healthier!
Fresh vegetables, potatoes, oven-ready chips,
and some lovely-looking Vegetable Risotto!
Also, for the first time ever, I ordered a cheese, leek & potato Quiche in the shape of a pie. Trying that tonight with peas and oven potatoes?
Cheapo bread rolls, although they were dearer than Asda’s.
The monthly flowers for LC (Independent Living Coordinator), Oberstgrüppenfuhreress Warden and Primo Ballerina, Warden Deana, and ILC (Independent Living Coordinator) Generaloberstess, Ice skating champion, desk top dancer and Warden Julie; were odd looking to me. They didn’t have any daffodils or tulips, even roses, but sent these as substitutes. They made four substitutions, and I sent three of them back. Phoned the gals to tell them the flowers had arrived.

Got the computer back on again, and I started blogging away…
I stopped for a while to add some Przyprawa flavouring to the potatoes.

Back to the computer.

After a couple of hours of uninterrupted mistakes, errors, grammar failures, and memory blanks, I felt the sensation of warm pee dribbling onto my feet and onto the carpet!… I grabbed some paper towels and got them on the escaped patches of urine! I whipped out the camera to take this shot… Life can be a bugger at times!
I sprayed cleaner and disinfectant all over the carpet (and feet).

Carer Kara called. Glad to report she had a good day at Skeggie!

An email from DHL came in. Bad news, after sending me one yesterday, telling me exactly when the MyFooDen parcel would arrive… now I get this! Am I lucky, or what?  It was out for delivery this morning, they said, but no, another failure… And: Where are they going to store the fresh food in the order? Eh?
Friday 11:38hrs: Still no notification from either MyFooDen or DHL about the chances of me getting it delivered. Now Friday 13:05hrs – Zilch by way of any emails with information.

Hello, Hello, Hello!
VOTING TIME
NOW THE FUN STARTED
Challenge One: After two months of avoiding putting any trousers on, to avoid chaffing from , I tackled the task. One foot in the right leg, the heavier, more bloated left leg was manipulated, with using the picker-upper to pull them up… Things seemed to be going pretty well…
acci-whoopOver, I toppled backwards, catching the left foot under the c1966. charity shop bought, second-hand, wincingly grotty, beige coloured, not working, crumb-covered from the nocturnal nibblings, itch-making, uncomfortable, virus breeding, easy-to-fall-out-of, recliner. c1966. charity shop bought, second-hand, wincingly grotty, beige coloured, not working, crumb-covered from the nocturnal nibblings, itch-making, uncomfortable, virus breeding, easy-to-fall-out-of, recliner. Right on the !
This deflated me, not to mention hurt a bit! I crawled and clawed my way back up my feet. And set about another attempt…
I was very cautious and eventually got my foot into the second leg.
This altercation kicked off
I put on a shirt, and then the other risky business was faced... getting the shoes on. Not easy with a bad back and swollen feet.
Collected the Polling Card and bus pass, got the sleeveless jacket on, readied the three-wheeled walker, and as I was opening the door…
I felt the blood coming slowly from poor little Inchie having the inserted catheter tube pulled.

bleed
Nipped, or rather, limped back into the wet room to clean things up and get yet another pair of PPs on – then remembered the struggle I had in putting on the trousers, so l left the current PPs on. By the time I’d done it and got out into the hallway with Three-Wheeled Walker William, I could sense it leaking again. Better not take too long over this.
Down to the lift, and along the link corridor to Winwood Court.. where the access to the polling booth was blocked off. So I had to go outside and down the road a bit and use the French windows to gain access to the polling section. Two nice ladies greeted me; I was a smidgen embarrassed when I could not find the I.D. My bus pass.
Out I went and trundled back into Winwood Court and back along the link passage to Woodthorpe Court.
Stopping to take a photo of the flowers in the rest area.
It was raining, but for some unknown reason, I cannot see any in this photographicalisation? It might have been partially sheltered by the towering building? Up in the elevator and back to the flat.

Then the reversal of the earlier challengers. Getting my shoes, jacket, and shirt off, but I thought I’d the , first.
Only a mini-spot or two of leaking, no problem.

Got the trews off with relative ease, I thought – but that was before I saw that I’d torn the stitching on one leg. Getting the shoes off was no fun. The folds of flesh from the ankles seemed to be cemented to my feet? I merely used the picker-upperer; it makes nice scratch marks on the ankle and tore at them in turn…
But the shoes remained on the feet!
A few minutes of pondering on how to extract the plates from the shoes provided me with an answer. I’d use my thick wooden long shoehorn to encourage the swollen feet to release themselves from the grip of steel of the shoes. And, it worked!
I’m afraid I broke the shoehorn in doing so. Humph!
😖 RIP To Wooden Shoehorn Whilmer! 😖.
My help and companion of seven years.

The sky was darkening a smidgeon.
Fantastic pareidoliaising!
Can you see the long-jawed beasts mouth?

What a short sunsetting time. The clouds soon concealed it.
But not before I got some shots in…
Lovelt!
A minute or so later…
Another minute…
The sun’s last gasp of the night!

Deana & Julie collected the flowers.

I made a start on the cooking of the never had before Quich.

Then took some last pictures of the darkening sky.
Aliens shing a light on us? Hehe!.
Blimey, the creature depiction is still showing?
Looks more like an eel now… or not. Great!

My computer is off; I’m just drained.
Not that I’ve done much!.
Food Time!
I got the potatoes in the oven, and added the wuiche… no, quiche ten-minutes kaster, no, later; so they cooked at the same time. Peas in the saucepan. It looked, and what bit of smell I could detect, seemed to be good to me.

I think the ingredients were potato and leek. In a white sauce of some sort, very nice. The flakey pastry shell is gorgeous!
Overall Rating: 8/10. Slurp!

PANIC STATIONS…
I don’t want to go into this too much… but…
The text from the bank indicated a worrying fact.
My balance has gone down by £3000 in a month!
I asked Carer Jodie if she could ask Carer Kara to
please have a go at getting me back in online
banking again. She tried a while ago, a couple of weeks
back, using the phone, and got the details needed and
tried to get me online with it. But, no joy. The details
given to her did not allow her/me into my account.
I really appreciate her trying in her own time too.
I’m worried, to say the least, now. Of course, I may
have got something wrong. I explained this to Jodie

and to Carer Sam later. I’m a bag of nerves!
Sam (1n:40hrs) said she would ask Kara to assist me.
Not heard anything yet (20:20hrs).
Hoping she can get hear tonight; she might be on the late
call. Every day there is something not going right! Well,
going wrong, summat to fret about.
The new medications and part of the original monthly
one have not arrived. No night catheter bags.
All a part of the NHS collapse and strikes?
My already shattered confidence and concentration are
not doing me any good. And without the needed
medications at the same time.
The thought of having to have a permanently fitted
catheter strangely left my mind today. Until a few
minutes ago, when I got some stabbing pains and
realised the bag was full & needed emptying. But
the colour of the wee-wee has been so much better
today. Although not the flow.
Which problems to worry about?
I’m sinking mentally as well.

Thanks, Doreen!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

First bag emptying. Not as dark as it looks. These day bags are in three compartments, with a shaded outer plastic.
Off to the . Only two (messy) trips up to now
Sorted the waste bins and bags. Carer Shaquille’s first call.
The second call was from Jodie, who calmed me down a bit over the banking cock-up. But not solved anything. No Kara came, though. Second visit.
Om the computer to get all mixed up and mistake making. (It was no bother!)

The weather was not nice….
Brrr!

Carer Sam arrived and said she would ask Kara if she could call on me.

This shot was a better one, got the colour as it was!

Getting dark earlier now.

A bit if a shock on the next bag emptying.
Blimey, talk about bloody!
And yet, the next emptying…
Much better? Not complaining like!

Oh, where did the time go?

Pressed on with the blogging.
Getting late now, 21:10hrs.
Better get some nosh sorted out…
Off to the kitchenette, I go… Hey-Ho!

Made the nosh, took a photo, and it didn’t appear on the SD card? Again!

GC ERWashed the pots, during which I felt liquid on my left lower leg?
Can’t be the , that’s on the right leg. I felt a grope of the area and found some new fungal growths, about four of them, different sizes, and all leaking what appeared to be water?

I put a self-adhesive pad on them, check the
Catheter Bag & colour of the urine…
That was too red again. Tsk!
And got my head down.

The pad was soaked in minutes and fell off. Fancy that!

Yet another crap night of sleeping. I had to keep wiping the liquid away all through the night with kitchen towels. One of the lesions is still running now (at 09:40hrs Saturday). The eyes and nose are doing a good imitation of the lesions. This reminded me of a Dr Who episode. Hehe!

Thus another horrible, tormenting night of getting up to empty the tiny day bag and wiping the weeping lesions.

I feel so lucky and blessed, you know…
There are plenty worse off; wherever you go,
But I’ve lost confidence and my mojo…
Doreen makes my thoughts and mind an imbroglio,
Whoopsies, accifauxpas, ailments to me are ipso-facto,
Coping with pain? I’m an aficionado,
Depression? Yes! But still a simpatico!
This mind is full of confusion & mumbo-jumbo!

Morning all!

Annuver mind-blowing, busy, getting nothing done, and frustrating… but not so much so as yesterday was! I think.
But don’t let fool you. It was horrendous!
When I say horrendous, it wasn’t all horrible; there were about ten minutes of near-contentment around 13:00hrs.
The promise of the medications about to arrive was soon demolished.
About a third of them came. But no Catheter night bags, and the new tablets for the Prostate reduction, failed to make it.
So, the night is going to be another one of agony.
Another promise of the rest of the things to arrive tomorrow; I’m not too hopeful of fruition after waiting for a fortnight. No Warfarin, but I do have a few left. No INR nurse arrived to take the blood for testing. No DVT nurse came for the vein draining. Heard nothing about the next brain scan. The after-stroke & falls team have not appeared for a few weeks. I’m out of the cream for Little Inches’ fungal lesion.
And I’ve had a tumble in the kitchen. Hands and knees job back to the front room, knocking the bottles of spring water off of the ottoman en route… with one of them landing right on my Onychovryotosis (ingrowing toenail). Slipped using the arm of the  c1966. charity shop bought, second-hand, wincingly grotty, beige coloured, not working, crumb-covered from the nocturnal nobbling, itch-making, uncomfortable, virus breeding, easy-to-fall-out-of recliner, to get back up on my feet. Had to sit down for a while.
The Carer gals had done their best for me.
But there is always that feeling; ‘What next!’ There’s always something going wrong. Now it’s emails from Grammarly telling me my renewal has been refused, but not why. Is it another con job?
Depression is a constant in my life now!
Still, the Matron called to see me. She’s been asked to by the Doctor, who was worried about me? Now that’s new and nice! I mentioned the lack of medications, night bags for the catheter, and the odd sensations that overcome me at times. The problems with mail, email and the computer, not being able to get onto online banking to sort things out; and no help available with these issues. At least, I think I mentioned these difficulties to
Matron. If not, I meant to.
Now 23:45hrs, and I’m up to here in the blog. Tired, smelly, worried, half-out-of-it, and so hungry. Nowt new here then…
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

A night of with the odd bother from tormenting ensuring that I seemed to spend longer awake than asleep. I gave up trying around 05:00hrs.

The urine looks darker than it really was when I emptied the pouch.

No change in the ankles.

No chance of any cloud pareidoliaing this morning.
White cars rule in the car park.

Jimminee, the colour of the wee this time was almost perfect.
And I was passing a lot, too!

The computer on! Made an order for Asda for next week. And signed up for the Delivery pass, which should save me a little. Went for the cheaper one, so I have to book orders for Tue-Wed-Thur each time to get it free.

The urine is getting a move-on today.
Lovely colour too!

Wonderful clouds this afternoon!

During the day, I had Carers Kara, Domestic Denise, Carer Josef, and Carer Carer Sam, who brought the part-medications for me; bless her. And bless Carer Carolynne, who looked at the computer problem for me. No decision was made or action was taken; mind you, she didn’t have the time.

Went to check on the spuds in the slow cooker.
Not sure how I took this photo?

Matron arrived. As I said earlier, whatever I could remember about the medicationalistical situation, I passed on to her. Got a student with her.

Hahaha! The wee kept on coming!
A good thing, methinks?

Overcast as the rain stopped, I took this picture.
Not very good, is it? Tsk!.

It’s gerrin’ a better colour as the night comes on! Great!

Nosh Served Up

The potatoes were slow-cooked with sea salt & vinegar.
Can if garden peas, and a first for me, never tried them before, imitation fish goujons, with a cob or two. Followed by the cheapest of yoghourts, flavoured with some lemon curd mixed in. (Nice!)
The vegan batter on the goujons was okay; the content of them was, well… tasteless! Disappointing, shan’t bother with them again.
Overall, a flavour rating of 6.2/10.

Left the pots in the sink soaking and got my head down.
Colin Cramps gave me a break, and even Anne Gyna only woke me up with her stabbing pains about six times.
The tiny day catheter pouch Still none of the larger night bags delivered); let me know it needed emptying twice.
As you can see by the top Ode, Dementia Doreen gave me an odd dream to use in the rhyme. Bless her!

May you find fun and festivities & have fantastic future feasts frequently!

of Nottingham Sherwood pavement cyclists
Just to make the point, they are a danger!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

As of now, 17:05hrs, there are still no night catheter pouches, prescription medications or Finasteride tablets for the shrinking of the prostate to allow a trail without the damned painful, annoying, clumsy, messy, painful… Painful, oh, I’ve said that, haven’t I? (Well it is!) catheter, to see if I can have a manual pee once again, delivered to me. So, I’m doomed to agony and discomfort. Not that it bothers me.
Just thought I’d mention it!

The day bag was not a good colour this morning.

Had a sad moment over my not being able to go on one of the trips-out days! Ah, well, “Que sera, sera!”

Spots of morning rain.

The requirements were the same as over the last three days. A first visit – messy to evacuate and clean up.
The tank had to be refilled manually again, which involved fetching water from the cold faucet/tap that works in the kitchenette, carrying it back to the wet room, and pouring it (or at least some of it) into the tank – three times. Then flushing, but it didn’t take all the product – so I had to repeat the actions. again. acci-whoop This time my luck wasn’t so good… I lost grip of the bowl and water from the kitchen – drenched the dressing gown, me and the floor! Naturally, I took it all in my stride and did not get angry or get pissed off, swear, spit or curse!
Finished cleaning the wet room, then off to the kitchen to do the same in there. I broke the handle on the mop and banged my knuckles on the edge of the radiator! Within minutes of returning to the front room, the 2nd visit was required!
This seems to be the usual pattern nowadays.
The second visit was even messier than the first evacuation. Bu7t at least I didn’t have any spillages. I cunningly only filled the bowl a third full, thus, I could carry it with the one good hand  I have and used Metal Mickey in the other. Crafty eh? but of course, it meant four trips to the kitchen instead of two. The morning was getting into the lunchtime zone with all the farting about that I had to do! Now a hemerine task and risk to add to the others!
What with no new Finasteride medications arriving for the prostrate… I mean prostate, running out of tablets, the constant pain from this and . Then there’s a new problem… although I had been warned it was bound to start. This is from an old friend . Now both or either hand fingers are not letting me grip things or refusing to allow me to let go of things? The cursed Eye-Ailment-Brigade; , and , is making things harder as well. Doing this blog will be too much shortly, I fear. CorelDrawing is easier and can be resized quickly, so all is not fatal yet. No night bags for about a week either, so the bladder cannot have its nightly flushing out of the infection? Still, it was day bags I ran out of last time. Nobody is telling me anything. The After-stroke falls team lady and District nurses have not been for a long time.
Just listen to me! Whingeing, grumbling, grumping, and snivelling-on?

Mid morning.

Overview, Revue & Waffling Ode
I sat looking at the screen for an age, impotent,
Trying to be creative, but I couldn’t,
The brains power and batteries were absent,

The mind was not interested nor compliant!
But, I was determined to get through this addlement…
This Mind-Blank, with a feeling of being insignificant,
My thought process is uncomplaisant…
Was it Doreen’s Dementia being defiant?
The thoughts fused, terribly absonant…
Focus clarifies a smidgen, then back to blent,
Many hours I’ve just spent…
Doing this ode, although claudicant…
I’ve written very little, originally meant…
Going through denudement, with no denouement!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

The urine was another bad colour.

Popped through the letterbox was a leaflet regarding Winwood Heights Social activities. Which was impossible to read due to the small print and, of course, , & are chief suspects as well. My immediate desires inspired, were for me to go on a day trip out to the coast, maybe?
Then, of course, reality kicked in.
How the heck would I cope with the catheter and bag emptying?
Taking the medications? Ans, should be some miracle I made it to Skegness; there would be no way on the planet that I could resist a fish & chip meal!
Then, of course, should I be foolish enough to go on one – there is little doubt that one of the medical procedures I’m on the list for would arrive on the same day! Plenty to choose from; Cataracts, Glaucoma, Saccades, replacement bladder, and DVT vein bleed. Or another one of the Brain Scans.
I’ll have to go into a self-sulk mode and forget about any idea of a day at the seaside; it’s just impracticable! (Is that the right word?)

The Iceland order arrived.

Strawberry treats for the gals. With some different drinks this time. Vanilla ice-cream-flavoured ones. I tried one later from the fridge – very nice!
The especially ‘flattened’ wholemeal rolls. Miraculously, they had some of the cheap kitchen towels in stock for once.

The highlight was a meal I had never tried before.
Looking forward to this.

Good Heavens…

The urine was running a much healthier colour!

Mind Blank Time
One minute I was on the computer, went to the Throne, and found myself five hours later, standing in the kitchen taking photos in the dark? Obviously, Carers had called, but could I remember who and when? No!

Raining!

Got back to the computer but just could not focus, so packed up and back to take the photos again.

The rain has stopped, and as I went into the kitchenette, the sun found a gap in the clouds, offering me some pareidoliaing time.

Got the oven on heating up for the potato chunks. The ready meal will go in the microwave for nine minutes. So potatoes in when the heat gets to 200, 20 minutes later, I can put the Moussaka in the microwave, and hopefully, they will both be ready at the same time.

Back to the . acci-whoop The messy evacuation needed cleaning up. Then I realised that the WC tank was filling up very slowly – and while doing it, there was no water available from the cold tap on the sink? Friday night again – things always go wrong when there is no one on-site to help! Grumph!

Back to check on the meal to check…
But could not resist these views, a Pareidlia’s delight!

.
Both of these snaps offered up a multitude of figures for me to identify. The fact is, I was at it so long I overcooked the potatoes – but nae bother, I like them tinged a little brown around the edges.

Gorgeous tasting this one was!
I was sat in the second-hand shop-bought, £300, c1968, overwhelmingly-sickeningly-beige coloured, tatty, uncomfortable, wobbly, germ-producing, falling to pieces, food residue collecting recliner, feasting on this wonderfully flavoured fodder; when, in came Carer Jozef. He was soon off, with no night bag to change and no medications to give – they have still not arrived yet!

Finished off the nosh, washed things up and settled to watch a Jonathan Creek episode on the TV.
But it was not to be...
Zzz!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

I’d like to report that things were very much better today.
But I can’t!
The agony of worries over the shortages of medications and the tube chaffing from tube; many other things, but the main one was , who was winning the battle with never having been so bad.
, & Sac ensured that my vision was crap and getting worse. Plus, so many hours were spent correcting mistakes. Just thought I’d mention it.

As usual for the last two weeks, frustratingly, there was no night-bag to change. This mystery of the medication’s non-arrival, and unattainable night catcher bags, is the reason for the pain I’m suffering. The night bag gave the day bag a refresh, which I believe helped clear the infection from the bladder. The mega-high Blood Pressure and the darkening urine since these things stopped coming to indicate this to me. But I’m powerless to do anything about them. No District nurse calling; new medications, along with last months medication, supposedly waiting for collection at the pharmacy. No DVT or
Phlebotomy nurse called in weeks now? I’m in bad pain through the lack of tablets. Doreen’s Dementia is affecting my responses. The eyes are making everyday tasks harder and full of accidents and mistakes. Oh, dear! Just thought I’d mention it. Not that it helps, of course.

Fancy that!
But it lightened later.

Morning view

But the blood pressure was horrendous! I did extra checks in the hope that it would come down, but… Nope! Wonder if this is due to the none attainment of, and running out of some medications?

Fingers crossed

Oh the bright side (I had to look very hard, Hehe!), the ankle ulcers were nice and calm. (Says Inchie as he gets grief from the catheter tube via Little Inchie and cleans the blood up changers protection pants,
.
Then get more stabbings from .

A bad day all round today.
Window-Man Joe called to do them.
I was out of it most of the time with taking so many painkillers, I think.
No idea what had happened for several hours.
I keep mentioning the pain I was in to each Carer.
At least, I think I must have.

Got the meal served up early, I gave up trying to concentrate on the computer. Cooked the meal without any damage. Hehe!

Sat watching TV with subtitles and devouring the pleasantly tasty meal I’d done for myself. Pretend meat (Very nice), beetroot, tomatoes, and potato cubes done in the oven after being sprayed with oil.
Carer Josef arrived mid-feast. Can’t recall what happened, he was soon off, as there was no night bag to change, and I’d already taken the painkillers & Peptac. Nice lad.

Zzz!

To the right, and the City Hospital.

Straight ahead.

Eerie?

Wider.

Odd slippers?
This was thanks to the valve on the catheter pouch going into self-determining mode – and pouring out the urine into my slipper yet again. Mor cleaning up and freshening are required. Humph!

The carer told me I was running out of medications again. Carer Josef said he’d inform the office. Weekend, of course, so nowt to be down now.

I forgot to remind him to take the waste bags and laundry bag with him.
I’ll try to remember on the next call.

Bootiful clouds were coming out when I made my next cup of Glengettie.
Going a smidge dark, though?

I forgot about asking the next Carer to take the laundry & waste bags with him. I am a prisoner of Dementia Doreen!

The new day catheter, with the ‘Dodgy’ loose valve trigger, at least had some better-coloured urine contents this time.

gave me one of his famously-hated routines just as I was opening a jar of soya pieces for later. Naturally, this didn’t irk or bother me in the slightest. No swearing, spitting, gnashing of what few teeth I have left, or questioning the Lord over my bad luck, oh, no. I took it all in my stride. even when I got a stubbed toe on the Hoover, cleaning the mess up. Grrr!

I either fell asleep for two hours at the computer… or I had a Mind-Blank (Most likely, ’cause work had been done on the Health Check listing that I can’t remember doing?)
It was obvious that there would be sunset photos to take tonight. So I did a few close-ups of the nearby dwelling.

And the car park on Chestnut Way outside.
Tow spaces are free! Blimey!

acci-whoopObviously, I had not recovered from the Mind-Blank.
I copied the latest Health Check results onto the whiteboard to use them later in the graphic… Then realised I’d erased the new figures from the board and not the old ones. This can happen to anyone; I understand that.
But why is it always me? Hahaha!
It may be Doreen’s Dementia? Another Mind-Blank? Or the agony I’m currently getting from Little Inchies , thanks to the chaffing from tube inserted in Little Inchy? What am I waffling about? Why?

,

Last call from the Carer, and again I forgot to remind him about the laundry bag again!

There should have been a photograph here; of a marvellous vegan meal that I had. It was delicious! Ready-made potatoes and onion with sauce side. To which I added a can of the mixed vegetables and oven cooked potatoes lumps, done nice and crispy! I was so keen to get my teeth (although I have far left to use nowadays) into it that I forgot about snapping it.

Doing the washing up after dining, and the night view caught my attention…

.
There are people out there; what are they doing?
Mayhap a little painting & decorating?
Naturally, there will be some burgling…
Or a family having a housewarming?
Is someone opening the latest Gas payment warning?
No doubt a few couples physically fluctuating?
The police, investigating and exhumating?
Gangs of yobboes, selling drugs & mugging?
Bloggers on Facebook, evulgating?
I’m just sitting here, recalling when I was dating…
Grizelda – she’s gone now; very frustrating!

Not that I could anything if she was here with the damned, rotten catheter tube stuck in me. Funny old world! Well, not funny!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

What a rotten, boring, painful, disheartening, depressing… but most all thoroughly confusing day for the old chap (me).
I was hairy-fairy, out-of-it-minded for most of the day. Confused… so mind numb, and forever different things were playing on my mind, worries over the great stack of letters I’ve accumulated waiting for help with them… then the computer problems; the medical situation – Two tablets ran out of, no delivery of the prescriptions or Catheter night bags for two weeks… Then fretting over the water in the wet room not running – the WD tank not refilling… well, it was, but it took 16 minutes to fill this morning, and no water was available from the tap in the sink while the tank filled, then it was barely trickled coming out… Having to fetch water in a bowl from the kitchen to clear the evacuated product and refill the tank. Anne Gyna giving more jip than ever before. I think I must have OD’d on painkillers. No nurses called, District, DVT or phlebotomy Warfarin tests for weeks now! Not wanting to eat, and that’s not me. I think I’ve had enough.

However, the urine was a much better colour today and flowed heavily at times into the Catheter bag. Sorry, but it’s been a mind-baffling day. So only boring catheter photos, mostly. The Mind-Blanks were so regular even I was aware of them after each one (I think), within seconds of returning to my condition of semi-consciousness and awareness. My attention, concentration and brain were all over the place. It does not make much sense even to me. I started so many things and veered of into others – nothing solved, of course, just got myself more frustrated about things.

Sister Jane rang me in one of my ‘dour’ moments. It was a little hard to hear what she said at times, but we did manage a little gossip about the past. I really enjoyed that. Bless her cotton socks. I do miss a good natter! Well, I miss a lot of things as well. Getting dressed and going out, health, having a belly that is not filled and bloated. A brain that worked. The ability to walk and run, especially my hobbles through the tree copse, I enjoyed nearly every day. Having hearing and eyesight. Not having PN… Sorry, I’ll shut up about my struggle now.

Of course, the brain may not, but the self-pity periods will no doubt come again. Likely when (If) I can get my head down, and either Anne Gyna or Colin Cramps – sometimes both over the last four nights, keep waking me up from my… erm, what’s it called… Ah, sleep! Then start shoving the Codeines down my throat in desperation and hope of killing the pain enough to get some rest. Even then, occasionally, the brain can be hyperactive; that’s as bad a sleep depriver as the pains. I do need help.

I can see the future headlines; “Man jumps from 12th-floor flat & lives!”

Just my rotten luck! Hehehe!

On with any bits of newsworthy idiocy and photos with inane comments- – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Why I took this, I know not. No doubt I had some witty comment in mind at the time (Whenever that was). Or… took it accidentally?

Plates of meat on the first catheter bag emptying.

Good colour; the bag needed emptying more times today than ever!.

Murky!

Still yet, the Catheter Pouch Fills – Great!

The ankles and feet swell a little, and blood under the skin?

Aha, an hour later, much better!

The right ankle ulcer starts to glow? Hehe! No pain with it. A few indentations in the flesh still. What they, I’ve not the foggiest! I suppose it’s all a part and parcel of the unaccountable mysteries, ailments, phantoms, failings and hauntings of 72,  Woodthorpe Court.

Do you know… are you listening?
There were times today; I’m not kidding…
When I almost knew what I was doing!
Twelve goes at the Catheter irrigating,

There must be summat else, it’s irritating…
So much I keep on forgetting,
Doreen Dementia’s
inquinating…
My memory, she’s masticating…
The Doctor’s ready for cognoscing,

My concentration is cadencing,
I await good luck commencing,

My brain is beyond assubjugating.
I suppose all this should be heartbreaking?
But a chance of some little ameliorating…
I’ve got cheesy potatoes in the oven baking!

I can smell the cheese as it’s melting…
I bet this is going to taste belting!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

20:15hrs now. Another day flashes by.
What I’ve done and why.
Who’s been to see me?
Can’t remember, can’t decree…
Been a sad muddled day for me!
So, some photos you can see,
Feeling so confused, I could cry!

First Pouch emptying…

Before the mist descended.

Food order. Some treats for the Carers.

One of the afternoon pouch emptying.
Amazing colour, healthy looking!

Nice parking today!

Mug of Glengettie, note-less notepad,  and a nose bleed.

Blimus! This one filled up quickly.

Late Carer Josef called. Only needed some painkillers to ease the mild agony from the Catheter bag tube in Little Inchy. Argh!

NOSH TIME

The plan was to show a photo of the served-up nosh here.
However: The best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry!
No matter how carefully a project is planned, something may still go wrong with it. The saying is adapted from a line in “To a Mouse” by Robert Burns: “The best-laid schemes o’ mice an’ men / Gang aft a-gley.”

Yes, Inchie forgot to put the SD card back in the camera again!
So the evening shot and shot of the TV on, also,
as Rabbi Burns said… “Gang aft a-gley “.

When I emptied night pouch,
I did remember to put the car in first. Tsk!

Not a good colour.

When I was nodding off, I needed to utilise the.
again. The visit took me half an hour
or so overall. Sticky, gooey, messy. The actual
evacuation maybe lasted a minute.
The cleaning up & medicating… ages!
Costly business nowadays. Last year the above cost me
£2.19 – Now… £4.99! But it does a good job of easing .

On that rather sordid note, I’ll leave you now. (Fri Morning)
And get this blog checked. (I’m bound to miss some mistakes, of course, I’m getting good at that recently) and sent off to WordPress.

TTFN Each!

It’s genuinely difficult to write this little overview,
And wanted to write it in rhyme, too!
I’m not going to start moaning… I’ll try not to…
Naturally, I can’t promise you,
My brain used to act as an autocue…
Now, Wednesday, I’ve another brain scan due,
Dementia Doreen has me as a detenue & détenu,
It’s difficultest to maintain logic & virtue,
There is no point now in taking any long view…
It’s a battle to wash, dress, and take a poor!
Whatever can I do?
I try to stay witty and not feel blue…
Price rises in rent, electricity, & food accrue,
Bad enough, but now the mind does miscue,
The eyes give me misty, mottled view…
The catheter pain, pouch replacement is overdue…
Without help, I can’t get on a sock or shoe!
Taking too many tumbles. walk into doors too!
Deafness worsening will continue…
But I’ll not give in, I promise you!
When I see St Peter and his gate crew…
There’s going to be a right hullabaloo!

————————————
Sorry not have much on today; time beat me again…

This is the punch, one hour after emptying it. Not a lot?

Gloomy morning.

.
Potatoes were put in the slow cooker and forgotten about again.
I can use them on Monday?

Email from Manor Laboratories in the USA. The Time-Machine Professor Billum and HRH Lisa-Petal, are going to ring me again: Bless them!
Being a logical Scientist, Billum asked which time would be bestest to make the call. I checked on next week’s calendar and sent a copy to the Manor. It was early Morning when I found this, hope  I got it right.

Yikes! This ain’t good.

Not so good view photos tonight.
Still, I’ve done worserer ones. Tsk!

The ‘In’s & Out’s of it’ continued today.
I think I had many more than yesterday.
Which resulted in dozens of mini-mind-blanks.
As for  recalling what I was doing… well?

Gotten Himmel!
I think it looked worse than what it was. The light shining on the masculine, jealous-making to others, postmarked scarred, blotchy right leg makes the blood in the bag seem darker than it really is. No? .
The pouch seemed ready to explode as well.

The vegetarian casserole went down well. I’d seasoned t with some Henderson’s sauce, sea salt, 7-Mediterranean vegetables sauce, and tomato passata with basil, and a vegetable Oxo cube. Oh, yes, and a sprinkling of some imitation soya-bacon crumbles.
I gave this a Taste Rating of 7.4/10. Not bad at all.

Sweet Morpheus was not keen on helping me again, and I ended up putting the TV on, that usually guarantees me nodding off. Well, it did this time… But unfortunately, it took a couple of hours longer than usual

Evening, all!
Well, Morning all then. Hehe!
