Yet another sleepless night for the old man! Men’s Day UK as well! If any non-man is interested, I’ll be in all day, should you want to pop over. Oh, never mind then! Hehe!

Just after midnight, I was finishing off the Friday blog, and I decided to make a mug of Glengettie tea and dunk some of the Biscoff caramelised biscuits. Take a break, you know?
It didn’t quite work out like that. Nothing unusual in that for me… but this time, the mess I made of it is worthy of mentioning. Mayhap they could make a comedy series out of it. Humph!
I may as laugh about it now… Although I didn’t at the time, though! Here goes, “Inchie decides to make some tea…”
⓿ Took the cold mug of tea to the kitchen, put the kettle on, washed the mug, warmed it and got the Glengettie tea bag ready to use. All without any hassle…
❶ Kettle boiled, made the mashing, stirred it well left it to brew. As I turned around to check that I’d not left the tap running, my sleeve caught the cup as Pete shook the right arm.
❷ The mug travelled via my dressing gown and jammies and hit the most painful area available, smack onto my Bouncing against the bottom of the cupboard, and broke into several pieces.
❸ The hot water began to seep through my thick jammies, and I had to remove them sharpish! However…
❹ I rushed at it, well, I had to… and lost my balance as I lifted the second leg out of the jammie bottoms… ending up with a thud and on my backside on the wet floor!
❺ I had to crawl on all fours into the computer room to use the recliner to haul myself back up on my feet. During which…
❻ I knocked a bottle of Spring water off of the ottoman. It didn’t break or spray or even leak… but it did land on my other damned !!!
❼ When I got painfully up onto the plates again, my balance was all over the place, but I managed to limp, hobble and carefully get back to the kitchen to clean up the broken crockery and mop the floor.
❽ Trying to clean a floor and manipulate the mop and bucket, as well as using Metal Micky to keep your balance, is no mean feat! And I managed to stub a toe, Twice cleaning up the mess! In fact, a .
❾ I coped somehow, got the bucket & mop back in the wet room, and I made my way to the medications on the Carer’s table. I struggled to get the Germolene onto my toes and took two Codeine 50g tablets to ease the pain.
❿ I decided it was time to sit quietly for a while. I knew that sleep would not be an option. And for a couple of minutes, I sat there with my eyes closed, and the started!
❶❶ Then, just when I was getting over the scares, fears and worries, the kicked in. I just had to get up and check that I’d not left any taps running or puddles of tea to slip over…
After checking in the wet room and kitchen, I seemed to be getting unbothered by how things had gone. It was, I imagine, what taking drugs is like, I became light-headed and unnaturally almost carefree?
This lasted for about half an hour or so. I was back on the computer, and I was doing so well with the typing. I knew where the icons and hidden assist were without having to check in the book I made of them for CorelDraw… I was starting the graphics to use in the Health Checks. Then it was as if some git turned off the light in my head; everything returned to confusion and memory blanks. I think the outside graphic box specification, which I’d used ten minutes earlier, and found I had no idea how to get at it again?

I must get someone to phone one of the Help Line numbers given to me by the Nuthall Hospital; Just to talk to someone who might know and understand the problems that bring with her. To know that others struggle too… Oh, I don’t know…

I’ll stop now and give the blogging a break. It’s getting more stressful every day, but much worse this morning, of course knocking the mug of Glengettie over, burning your own belly and legs, making and having to sort out a mess, twice stubbing one’s ingrowing toenails after dropping the mug on one of them… and having to face Esther on Monday, having no warm dressing gown to put on now… may have contributed to my current . Did you see that? The Thought Storms are coming from my fingers now as I type!

What was I going to do? Ah, I’ll get the done. A stand-up job, of course. /it’s far too early to use the noisy shower and disturb my neighbours. Ah, well, I’m sick of hearing myself complain
Hi-Ho, it’s off to the wet room I go, then…
I faffled about getting some clothing to get into after the ablutionalisationings were all done and dusted with.
Took me a while to get the socks I required, I knew in the cubby-hole I had a few pairs of the long black bamboo diabetic socks. But the other day, Esther put some socks in there after doing the laundry and mixed up my organised layout, and all the footwear was mixed up.

acci-whoop Of course, I got all the short socks together to move back to the front left and showed her skills, and I dropped all eleven pairs! Having to keep bending started off… it was too late by then, but I went and got a picker upperer to use. Which separated the paired socks, and then I had to sort them back into sets and get them back in the cubby hole.
Took the shirt, trousers and the nearly dried but partially damp tea-covered dressing gown to the airer in the hall and got the others into the wet room.
It was when I was brushing my teeth that I realised I’d still not got the diabetic bamboo sock from the cubby hole.
That was the first of the three bleeding incidents during the ablution session; I rushed to get the teeth finished, and the blood flowed from the last broken tooth.
Out of the lovely warm heater-on-full wet room, into the cold rubbish room, and got the bamboo socks. No sleep, nothing much gone right… I was getting het-up again! And it was so cold out there in the other room.
Got the saving started; I used the four-bladed razors, thinking it would be quicker. Then, I changed to a two-blader to shave the back of the neck

As I looked in the shaving mirror, there appeared to be a blood flow from somewhere at the back? I got the camera out to try and see what it was by photographing as best I could to look at the viewer. But I could not locate the source of the blood.
Cunningly (and stupidly), I dabbed some Brut aftershave on toilet paper as far as I could reach around my neck. That solved the issue! Boy, did I jump! But it did the job and stopped the flow.
Then, seconds after checking on the annoyingly bothersome scab from last Wednesday’s burnt finger, got knocked off against the seat raiser corner…
I believe I may have used some naughty language at this stage, as the blood ran down my leg and foot onto the wet room floor. Luckily I still had loads of toilet paper to hand from using it on the tiny-teeny-weeny little nick on the back of my neck shaving.

The leg’s DVT spider and saphenous vein look rather artistic this morning. They were bulging or swollen with it today, though so little snippets of good news are welcome here in the Woodthorpe Court mental institute.

After medicating various delicate areas and using the talc’ and the roll-on deodorant, it was time for the big challenge.
Getting the knee-high bamboo socks on without using sock glide, Glenda!
I feared for my newly opened-up scab on the finger… There is no way I could risk Glenda nipping, trapping or squashing it. I was dubious of my ability to get these extra-long socks on without Glenda, but I was determined to – if I could!
acci-whoop It was a mixed-result session. I banged my head and then my arm against the door as I got my bulbous-shaped body into the corner of the room. Not sure how I managed to do it, but I stayed on my feet?  Naturally, a . I’d still have to get the PP’s and trousers on; getting them on is not exactly a walk in the park nowadays.
Well, the long socks and PPs were on; I then tackled the jumper and trousers. Huh! Easy-peasy!

I’ve not done the Health checks yet. So, I will!

Well, the body temperature result was most pleasing.

The Blood Pressure was surprising to me anyway, up back in the Hypertension – 2 Red areas? What? Why? How?

The Sys was only 138. in the green as well.
Ah, the DIA was well up on yesterday’s 82 at 92, wasn’t it? Mmm!
Fair enough, then.

The Pulse was high as well.

Ah! You win them all, can you? Well, I can’t, anyway. Hehehe!

I’d better get back on the computer and make a start on finalising the Friday blog. Not too much to do with it, being as I didn’t get to sleep, and I seemed to be in a virtually virulent mood in my work last night.
Virulent? I’ll check to see if that’s the right word.
Apparently, it was the wrong word.
I’d love to remember which word I was thinking of using in the first place.
Methinks the concentration is already crumbling. I must try to get caught up with some sleep.

08:30hrs: Burst forth in tune. And Carer Chirpy Charley bounced into the room. In a rush, she was late.
Got the medications sorted out. We had a mini-natter, treats were given in thanks, and off Charley flew.
For some reason, possibly induced and prompted by , I thought it was evening, and followed Charley to the door and locked it, as I should at night. Although, the key-safe; is still unopenable to the carers and me? Which could prove fatal if I have another strike and no one can get in to rescue my muscular-ripped, tall, athletic body after a tumble or stroke?
I must mention this to ILC, Tightrope-walker, and Warden this Monday. Oh! Also, I must ask her to read the multi-paged leaflets and instructions from the Coppice Hospital I have to digest. But the important bit is the things I have to take with me, the time etc. Not to mention I have to arrive ‘Not Late – but no earlier than 5-minutes
? And to book an Easy-Link lift.
There is a list of about five organisations, that I may use to ask for help over the long waiting period for the hospital appointment. I need help on which one to use cause I feel I do need support over this. The print on the paperwork is just too small for me to read.

It’s no wonder that Deana is ducking & diving from me, and I can’t get to talk to her. Hahaha!

I realised I should not have locked the door when Carer Charley left, and I went to put things right.
Found two bags of rubbish that had not been taken to the chute for me. I told you she was in a rush tonight… I mean, this morning.

Well, would you believe it?
Liberty-Global’s $23.7 million salaried boss, Mr Fries, has failed to get a connection to Nottingham yet once again!
I wonder if he still gets his annual bonuses and expense account? I mean, good luck to him. How many incompetent smoke and mirror men and number-crunchers like him get can earn so much for failing miserably?
No wonder he told the UK Virgin people to never mention Liberty-Global to any customers when they ring in to complain… is it? No good; I’m going to try blogging again later, Mr Fries.

I’ll get some nosh and try to get some precious sleep caught up with. Fingers crossed! Oh, food first!

Warmed two part-baked bread rolls in the oven, and I cooked a microwave oven- ready-meal in the microwave. No problems with the timing, and they were both ready at the same time (9-minutes).
One of the mini-pots of lemon-flavoured yoghourts. Atr it slowly, enjoying every forkful and spoonful! 9.15/10, Flavour! Of course, I added some vegan BBQ sauce to the vegetables and gravy. Washed the pots, and I got down in the recliner.

Into a deep sleep that was, I believe, unbroken. It felt like I had been resting peacefully for many hours when roused me back into ersatz life.
The tune rang out; it was Carer Ty. He was in a rush too. He said he’s had his mobile for three years; and had just dropped it and cracked the perspex, which annoyed the lad so, as is to be expected. I asked him to take the waste bags with him, “No problem!” Thanked him.

I got confused again and thought it was morning, but it was still night! I’m getting fed up with this scenario!

Got the medications and asked him if he could check the taps in the wet room and in the kitchen, along with anything left cooking in the oven. “No problem!” Thanked him. After he departed, I noticed that the bags were still there near the door. No taps were checked. Well, I said he was in a rush. Hehe!

As it was only about 20:00hrs, I took the bags to the waste chute.
No finger trapping, toe-stubbing or walking into anything. Although when I bent down to retrieve the dropped Metal Micky, it was
acci-whoop: As I was reaching down to grab the stick, a mini came on. It only lasted for literally a few seconds, but it could have been almost fatal had I gone over and hit my head on the heavy iron chute drawer.
Still, I didn’t take a tumble as I thought I was going to. That was because of my cunning avoidance tactics! I leant into the nearest part of the wall, and as I did so, the involuntary leg dance stopped dead in its tracks. As I had to get back to the flat yet. Hahaha!

I mused over the two incidents where I became confused as to what time of day it was. This regularly seems to happen to me when I am woken up by either the doors , or when above starts his banging and clanging.
GC Humph 01My musing moved on to the Hospital appointments and the genuine fear of the Cataract operation, and the first Memory and Mentally-Affected assessments at the Nuthall Hospital will arrive on the same day. what are the odds of that? Not as high as you would think, knowing my luck.
I tried to stop the mind-wandering and depressing moments of self-doubt and insecurity.

MedPhorpainAs I started to get deep into the quagmire of self-pity and self-hating, the started off in both lower legs. That really didn’t help at all. I  massaged, and Phorpain gelled the legs, giving it plenty of energy and a good massaging.
Of course, it didn’t help! So I took yet another extra Codeine, 30g. Else it may be the third night of no sleep if   gets as nasty with me again. !

I started the routine again. Got down in the £300, bought eight years ago from the second-hand shop, Harold Haemorrhoid testing, repugnantly beige-coloured, crumb containing, virus-breeding, acne-giving, rickety, itch-producing, none-working recliner.

The flourished. Sleep stood no chance!

May the blessedness of Good Luck befall You!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

04:30hrs: I can’t tell you I woke up cause I never got to sleep! Because I had   For all night long! I was forever getting up to stretch the calves, massage them and dollop on and rub in the Phorpain Gel. MedPhorpain
And take painkillers. I meandered into the kitchen to get the kettle on for a mug of Glengettie tea. I took these photos from the window; in two different settings, and the second came out much better than the first one did. But can I remember which settings?
Made a brew of the Glengettie, left the bag to marinate well, and I sorted out the waste bin bags. Had a wee-wee and cleaned and disinfected the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee-Bucket)
To the computer with the tasty strong mug of black tea and photographed the calves; they were coming down, the carves were easing off now. As long as I do not spend too much time inactive, I hope they will stop twisting my legs. I can’t understand why they played up so much last night and just didn’t stop for about nine hours? However, they seem to have had a calming effect on the able ulcer; I could hardly see it this morning. Hey-Ho!
Finished the tea… ah, now that might be a possible reason for the bad Cramps. I’d run out of Glengettie teabags and not had any for a day or two until they were delivered yesterday. And had drunk a number of mugs last night? But I’ve never heard of that before? I’ll look it up later.

I’ll get the Health Checks done. hopefully, the results will again be in the Amber Zone? We shall soon find out…

Back up again!

Still, it’s better than Wednesdays!

I set to getting the Thursday post done, and after half an hour, I could feel the cramps building up in the calves again. So, I had a walk around and did some stretching exercises, which seemed to work for me.
Which reminded me to have a look on the web for tea and cramps. Back in a while…

Carbonated drinks, caffeine, and aerated drinks should also be avoided during menstrual days because they have high levels of sugar in them, which can cause inflammation and make the cramps more severe.

No mention of tea there, then?
I started reading another page, and it said: 13 more ways to stop period cramps. I moved on…
I altered my queries to “What to drink when legs are cramping?”
Black tea is safe to drink. When he switched to plain black tea, the symptoms disappeared within a week. The scientist who reported this case pointed out that the flavouring in Earl Grey tea is bergamot oil, which can block the movement of potassium in muscles. This can lead to muscle cramps and twitches.
Well, Glengettie is black tea. So that should be safe, then.

Came in. She looked very tired, but I bored her with tales of my past Whoopsiedangleplops, which brought some smiles. She got the medications handed out.  A can of the new Carer’s treat I got from Asda. Rum & Cola, with strawberry. And a choccy bar in thanks. Took the waste bag with her as she departed! I thank you!

I was making another brew of Glengettie, and Esther came in.
she called int ogive me the change from the overpayment.

I’m going to get the ablutions done now… then get something to eat, and try to get caught up with some sleep… Pleeease! Sweet Morpheus!

I got sidetracked when I saw the wonderful evening sky from the kitchen window and decided they would be worth photographicalisationing.
The hue was so different. Bootiful!

I stripped and put the clobber in the laundry basket, well, bag.

I got into the bathroom, and the ablutioning went well, other than two things.

❶ I managed to get several nicks shaving, and they were a devil to stop bleeding. (Possible Warfarin INR level low?)
❷ After it all was washed and medicated and dried... I did feel like l a fool… I came out and put trousers and day-wear on to go to sleep in!. So I had to changed back into the jammies! Tsk!

🍽️ I got the meal sorted out.
That veggie minced beef & onion pie was gorgeous tasting! Brilliant vegan pastry.
Potatoes, tomatoes, and a pot of the soya lemon yoghourt. My regulation issue of BBQ sauce added, of course.
A well-worthy 8.2/10 for Taste-Rating.
As I got into the aged, grotty-looking c1966 made, charity-shop-bought, horribly beige-coloured, £300, Harold’s Haemorrhoid-testing, non-operational, acne-giving, virus-breeding, rickety, easy-to-fall-out-of recliner, I think I felt the start of a visit from ! I offered a prayer to anyone or thing interested, not to have another agony-ridden sleepless night.
Then thought it wise, to massage the legs.
Dolloped some Phorpain gel and rubbed it in well, and I took two paracetamol. Got back down again.
I’ve no idea if it really helped, but by Jimminee – once I got to sleep, I had the longest unbroken kip I’ve managed for years! (This should not be surprising, I suppose, considering last night’s total absence of sleep?) Damned nearly 8 hours before I woke up!
Sleep at last! Grrreat!.

Inchcock Today: Sunday 30th October 2022:

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Panic-Modes – depressions – self-pitying,
Doreen Dementia & Anne Gyna, combined
with Frustration Frank today. To curse everything
that I tried to do or find solutions too!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Woke up. (Well, it’s something to do, innit?) Got the waste bags made up took the overnight wee-wee bucket to be emptied, washed and disinfected, and back to the kitchenette to make a mug of tea.

And I started sorting out the fridge contents. As you’ll have noticed, the mind was a smidge wayward and wandering this morning. I took a terrible photo of the morning view as the day was getting brighter, the thought to myself, I do a lot of that, you know, Doreen Dementia permitting, of course!)

Made the brew of Glengettie and took it with me to the computer, and… a Panic Mode was engaged. What had I done wrong here? The time on the computer was an hour different to all the other clocks. I checked on the mantle top one, the kitchen clock, the wristwatch, and the wet room clock. In fact, I used the Porcelain Throne while in there – one word covers the experience – Solid!

Washed and back to the computer. Even I can’t believe this… but I phoned Jenny to see what time it was! Yes, I’d missed the clocks going back! Which explains why I was also concerned, thinking I’d not heard the Carer arriving. Tsk! It’s beyond sad; this is bad.
Class One – Grade A – Docility-Status, Frustration and Self-Loathing modes briefly attended as well.
Arrived, and looked tired again, poor lad. But he was bright enough, and after the tablets were taken, we had a minute nattering he was in a rush but still took the waste bags with him for me to the chute.
Josie’s meal prepping next.
I boiled a large potato, and when it was nearly done, I cut it up into Josie-size pieces, and got then sprayed with oil, and into the preheated oven to crisp up.
I think Josie likes these in the chilli-stew. Which had been on the stove gently warming through, with 7-Veg sauce, tomato passata, onions and some chopped tomatoes. I hope she appreciates the effort I put into this for her. She rarely says thanks to me. As long as she’s happy. It’s getting harder and harder to do now. Still, as long as she enjoys them, I can ask no more.

What a great session that was. So many of my usual annoying ailments gave me a free ride this morning –
And, as well, besides that, I only had one shaving cut, a tiny one. The were also kind to me. I may be laughing here, but it’s Worrying this is? Hahaha!

Grrreat Blood Pressure Result today!

Finally, and proudly on time yet again, I got the meals for Josie prepped and served up on the tray. A cold version in the grey-lidded tub so she can put it straight into her fridge to eat on Monday.
Drinkies and after nibbles supplied as per... and off to deliver it to her door.
There was a long wait, several minutes, and I pressed the bell again; in case she was in the shower and did not hear the first one. The meal was getting colder and colder. There was no point in me having heated it up for 30-seconds in the microwave before delivering it, was there. The main worry was is she alright?
As I was going back into my flat to call someone about Josie possibly being poorly or having taken a fall… The door opened to reveal Josie. That was a relief! The casual semi-annoyed likelihood at me pressing the bell twice was, “I was on the phone, too, my Sister!” I think she was a little peeved? Ah, well, you can’t win them all. Hehe!

Finally, I got the Friday.. no, Saturday blog posted off. And had to have a break and sit down; the sudden fatigue arrived. I put two baking potatoes in the oven, and .

I woke up, and darkness was falling.
I went off into the kitchen and took this photo on the left, of the evening view, in mid-stream of getting the potatoes out of the oven. I halved them and removed the innards into a large mixing bowl. Where the flesh was mangled and mashed with a blob of butter, sea salt and much of the gated Leicester cheese!
The resulting meal from my culinary escapades, with the last cod and veg sausages, was one of my better efforts, I’m proud to say.
The cheesy baked potatoes were the highlight, taste-wise. Stunningly tasty, the sausages were grand; even the cheap large white cob, which was used to wrap around sausages and dipped into the BBQ sauce, was a cut above my usual too. A Flavour-Rating of 9.3/10 was given! A record-high score, I think? Well filled up and satisfied by the feast… I .

Rudely awoken by , as (I think?) came into the room. Being half-asleep and not having made any notes, I’m not sure if anything of note occurred during the visit, but have a vague idea she was asking me if I was sure I was okay? Just being so tired gave the impression. But I was fine otherwise… hope I thanked her for the concern. Sorry if not, Jodie… also I hope I got your name right too?

But it was fitfully broken. So many times did I wake up and nod off again. I lost count of how many springing awakes I had. But, I was grateful that I got back into the land of nod each time.
After the umpteenth time of waking, I needed a wee-wee this time. And the most annoying was needed as I was preparing to use the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee-Bucket) with such a lot of PMAD (Post-Micturition-After Dribbling) that by the time I’d waited for it to all flow, I was much more awake, and started working on this post updating around 00:30hrs.

Someone said I should lead my life precociously…

So I looked it up on synonyms; Advanced, forwardly…

Before one’s time, improperly, preliminarily & brainily…

Precedently, unwelcomely, cleverly & soonly…

Well, this has stumped me!

Inchcocks Diaries

Diaries In Short Form

Sorry, I’ve got some photos from Friday. But little memory.
Some scribbled notes helped, what I could read if it anyway along with the photos. I had things going bonkers-wrong: The computer, the camera, I could load no images on Friday at all. Got a few on Saturday morning, then the picture app threw a funny again. I was struggling to get the Local News Snippets done… more and more frustrating. But Saturday, I got the blog finished and posted. Then, got stopped again, by the most heartwarming happenings, Sister Jane rang, and the delicious angel Jillie💜 called – she came… well, I’ll not spoil it for now…

Friday 25th February

Up at 05:50hrs. Four & a half hours kip. Prepped laundry. Then hoovered the room and kitchen. (Yes!) If you had a painfully dislodged Cathy Cartilage kneecap and hoovering with the bit of vacuum while using a walking stick and fighting off Dizzy Dennis a few times, you’d realise wot-an-‘ero, I was! Hehehe! Ablutions done.

Carer Richard arrived. I was fine up until then, really, but the memory of what took place is vague and no notes written? Not like me, that!

Onto the computer, Snippets blog started. Got the graphics from the YourArea site on the web. No photos being allowed by the darned computer again! Interesting word of the pad ‘Froir Back?’

CorelDraw to touch up and add to the graphics, and got carried away, making personal words to use file, for the odeing (Didn’t get any done until Saturday).

Now we are in Vague-land! I got something to eat and took a photo hoping that it would go on the computer in the morning. Until carer Helen arrived, I think.

Had a nasty attack from Dizzy Dennis after washing and getting the nocturnal clobber on. Can’t recall going over, and no bruises or aches anywhere in the morning, so I couldn’t have. Cartilage Cathy had been bothersome all day; I put that on the pad.

I retook some photos of the sunset.

Saturday 26th February 2022

I had no record of what time, but I got up in darkness and found myself topping up the Treats shelf? I must have done other things?

I recall knowing that an Amazon delivery is due today and feeling a little chuffed for doing that. I think it was morning Carer Helen who called. But it’s just a guess. After she had gone, I decided that I’d hang on until Monday and call the Doctor for an appointment; things are not right at all with me. It could just be Dementia-Doreen, of course?

Got the ablutions done and back onto the blogging. It was hard going. There is no bother from DD (Dizzy Dennis), just CC (Cartilage Cathy)

Spent many frustrating hours getting the blog formulated. I worked on presenting it at long last. Posted it off, to my amazement, the card reader read the SD card, so I got them on the file post haste.

These are from Sat’s sunset shots.

Then finished off and posted the blog. Hurrah!

Sister Jane rang, we had a natter. Humph! (Although this might have been on Saturday).

Heinz bean burgers for lunch, I like ’em! (Saturday)

Jillie rang me. And decided to pop up to see me – My world lit up! I got the template for this blog done, and Jillie arrived. A hugging session later, we were chatting away and laughing – What excellent medicine that was! Jillie had brought me some sausages that she’d cooked for me – Wonderful! She got me some at Christmas, and boy, they were good then; going to have these tonight. Mmm! Thanks, Jillie, my sweetheart, 💋

When Jillie had to go, wine and treats had to be forced upon her, and I found myself singing!!!

Oh, I better check on the Amazon tracker; all good, it says it’ll be here by 21:00hrs.

Continued to work on this blog, awaiting the arrival of the evening Carer, whoever that may be. Carer Elena, I think. Wrong again, it was Carer Valerie. On her phone again. No chatting time. Gave me the medications and carried on with her phone call. I tried to get her to turn around to take this photo, but as she was on her mobile chinwagging, she wouldn’t. Hehe!

The whatever they are called on the ends of my fingers on the right hand are getting painful; When they touch anything, including keypad buttons. They look like bits of food. I spent a while trying to scrub them off. Hahaha! I think it is specs of blood from under the skin. Then going back to normal, the returning, you get what I mean. Konrad Confusion, again! Something development in the Peripheral Neuropathy, I assume.

I got the belated Health Checks done. Starting with the Boot’s Sphygmomanometer, made and manufactured by ZDEAC (Zhongshan Daguan Electrical Appliance Company Ltd) in Guangdong, China. (Okay, as it appeared to me, a smidge high SYS) But not worrying, it’s been a lot higher. No doubt it will droppeth like a stone. Or maybe not.  Hehe!

The Shenzhen Relee Electronic & Technology Co. Ltd™, contactless thermometer, scarily gave a reading lower than ever at 32.9°c! Nervous of this, I tried the in-the-ear thermometer. I could not get a reading, just a display of Lo?

I got today’s sunset shots onto the computer, and they are here below. (I suppose you noticed them? Hahaha! The top two were taken first. Then the kettle boiled, and I poured the tea…

Then took the second two. But I don’t know what it is! I’ve said it before, but it’s incredible how quickly the colouring changes this time of year. Naturally, there is a logical reason for this…

Doing well now… I got the photos of Valerie, the nosh and the end car park loaded. 😁

Just look at those sausages that Jillie did for me! All I had to do was reheat them Bootiful! I must ask where she got them from; these had bits of red peer in them, absolutely perfectly part-burnt, just how I love them. I could get addicted to these, which is fair cause I’m already addicted to Jillie! Thanks again, you Angel! I ate it all up, not a scrap left on the plate. The only thing not so good was the Sugar snap peas from Iceland. They usually get Nigerian; these were Egyptian and nowhere near so sweet. But, as I’d long ago had a cuddle and hug with Jillie, it didn’t matter so much. The tomatoes were sumptuous again. I ate each sausage with a slice of the thin, soft Milk Roll bread, dipped into the BBQ sauce. Wunderbar! Taste: 8.9/10

Washed the pots and meandered into the balcony to take a photo of the end car park car in the dank darkness. Eerie looking, with so little vehicular activity and no signs of life!

Then I remembered the coming any time now Amazon order. Huh! Went on the tracker site to investigate…

Carer Helen, I think arrived. Bit of brain-block as to what happened, if anything worth mentioning. I’m doing this the following morning, and the recollections of the end of Saturday are very blurry. Not that I felt terrible physically. The memories of Jillie’s visit were still zooming around in my head.

I could still taste the beautiful sausages she did for me. Mmm! I know I took a Hemp capsule cause when I got up for a wee-wee, the bottle fell from between my legs. Hahaha! Which in itself perked me up.

Sweet Morpheus and an excited brain meant it took ages to drop off. The usual first-response, of putting the TV on, searching for something interested showing, and trying to watch it – that sends me typically off at the first set of advertisements. But not tonight… Well, I watched a murder documentary, nearly all the way through, a 2-hour program as well! I needed the sleep that arrived, but of course, it meant missing the last 10 minutes or so of the programme. Tsk! But turning off the TV, and I reckon I was off into dreamland within minutes! I’m sure I had many dreams… likely with Jillie in there somewhere, but I had no recollection of any actual details, just happy thoughts.

Ode to Thought-Storm Sufferers

Together we can get through this mental breach…
Avoiding counsellors who want to preach…
I know the confusion when storms unleash…
At times, Dementia Doreen can actually be a peach!
Sometimes the Thoughts arriving, I cannot reach…
Or forget them, and start designing my wreath,
Or, I’m off somewhere fishing, the shingles of Meath?
Not for me a sunny suntanning beach…
Picking pickled walnuts from my teeth…
Making passionate love to a hairy cailleach!
But Thought Storms follow – I’m sick to my back teeth!
Today it was Tony Blair, Hitler and Edward Heath!

Billum treats Inchcocks Ailments!

Bill & HRH

Lobotomy Sorted Out The Problems

HRH Lisa, Problem Sorter Outer, Ether-Carer to Inchcock, Electrician & Nurse (and a cracking looker) was at hand throughout the operation. First Aid box at the ready. Backing up professor Billum all the way.
The electrics and life monitorings were handled by Alan.

Billum prepared for the removal of the brain. Amazingly, Inchcock felt not a single pain! He was put at rest, by HRH covering his head area in Phorpain, and giving him an iced lolly.
The kindness showed by Billum, was gobsmacking. (They actually had to smack his gob to bring him round later, when refitting the brain and reattaching his head; but that’s for part two to come later.) Billum had thought of everything beforehand, he’d been planning this procedure for over two days, in his glasshouse laboratory.
He explained that when the brain comes out, Inchcock may not notice any difference, but not to worry.

Because a false moustache, spectacles, hearing aids, a missing many teeth plastic mouth, and a BO spray would be adorned on the brain straight away; so that it would feel at home without Inchcocks mass of blubber and accoutrements surrounding it.
He even supplied mini-walking sticks, crutches, and had the foresight to keep giving the brain a clout now and then, so, as he named him, Brian the Brain would not miss Inchcocks pains from tumbles, walking into things ad the desperate pain from the overactive bladder, Brilliant!

I’m afraid this will have to be caught up with later, because Inchcock’s eyes are too bad to continue, sorry. He may have to skip a blog or two, or just put a few words on. The poor old git is not too good at the moment. The eyes and bladder are the two main reasons.

Professor Billum started with Inchcock’s worst affected area, naturally the brain, but Billum had to take it out first.

Cheers, each.

Hawaiian: Pōʻahā 4 Pepeluali 2021

Good Morning!

01:05hrs. I seemed to wake up more slowly this morning, it took a while to engage the brain. A few moments of vagueness, and utter disinterest in anything, soon passed, and I realised that I’d just had over five hours in the arms of sweet Morpheus, which surprised me a little after the four previous nights of broken, disturbed rest. Maybe things are going to go better today for me? What a stupid thought! My brain was near-fully operational, and the Thought Storms began. Thankfully, the need of a wee-wee broke the trend.

I rose calmly, and carefully from the c1968 recliner, and caught my balance easily enough. Hobbled over to the ‘unused’, overnight nocturnal wee-wee bucket, and boy what a shocker it was! Back to those of last year; Stinging like hell, bursts out for a few seconds, then went into a dribble mode with even worse pain! Silver Lining Search: There was no pre or after dribbling!

Started doing the Health-Checks, with the Blood Pressure on the Boots Sphygmomanometer, manufactured by, ZDEAC (Zhongshan Daguan Electrical Appliance Company Ltd) in Guangdong, China. Great! The SYS was down to 130, it’s never been so low! Dia 83, pulse 79.
The Chinese (Hong Kong) made by Shenzhen Relee Electronic & Technology Co. Ltd, contactless thermometer, gave exactly the same reading as it did yesterday, of 36.7°c. That was pleasing, cause I reckon that is a fair level.

I took the morning tablets. Please note that I did not miss last nights doses! Hehe! About time too!

I turned the computer on to do some graphics, then had a look at the emails. One indicated that L9 bus service is to be cancelled in apart of the Nottingham City Councils efforts to claw back £millions, due to Covid-19. There was an email address to offer our views on the subject, and I sent one. But it will inevitably have to go. Shame, but it can’t be helped.

I went to make a brew of Glengettie, and I got side-tracked (I do tat an awful lot, lately). Into sorting the seasoning cupboard out. Glad to say I’ve now got some various seasonings in hand. Mild chilli, basil, paprika, chives, various types of salts, peri-peri, etc. Soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, Squid sauce, normal and extra-strong matured Marmite (Hehehehe, lovely!), black pepper, too. Shame that Iceland and Sainsbury’s didn’t send me any fresh onions, leeks or shallots. Tsk!

I put the remainder of the mini-potatoes in the crock-pot, and added some chives and sea salt, leaving them to hopefully, marinate. Note how SSS (Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley) encouraged me to tip in half the pot of chives? Grumph!

Titivating the fridge, and I came across this whatever it was in the photo on the right? It was snuggled in the door tray, hidden under some pots of milk. I wonder what it was? You have to laugh! Well, I did anyway, during which, I let pains in both eyes, not bad at all, but it worried me. So much that I got the camera to investigate.

It was the subconjunctival haemorrhage in the eye. But it didn’t look so bad as the last time.  I wondered why it was in the right eye this time, but the pictures looked the same as previously? It dawned on me after a while, the Nikon camera, now deceased; I’m afraid, had something called an unmirrored lens… I might be getting myself all confused here? Anyway, I sneezed a few times again, and now both eyes are itching like mad? My typical bad timing, with the vaccination due tomorrow, I don’t want to get in a pickle appointment-wise. Then, of course, Saturday and Sunday, so no help available. The left eye is getting filled with mucus, and making seeing properly difficult as the day goes on.

I went for another painful pee, of the same mode as the first one. And got started on updating the blog from yesterday. I fear many mistakes have been made with the eyes problems. I fear that if Saccedes Sandra comes on as well, I’ll just have to summon help.

It was uncomfortable and Oh, so slow job doing the updating. Got it finished eventually. Posted it off, Emailed the link, Pinterested a photo or two, then went on Facebook catch-up. Hard work seeing things correctly. Went on the WordPress Reader section. Next, I replied to the WP comments.

Then, I did some template adjusting, changed the font, I wanted to widen the main text body, but couldn’t. This might am not allowed on this template, or, as is more likely, I couldn’t remember how to do it. Tsk!

I put the computer into sleep-mode and got some handwashing done. The made in Myanmar (Burmese), maroon zip-up jacket, and the new made in India, Tru-Size pyjama bottoms-lounge pants, are not true-to-size very warm, but comfortable enough with all the heating on full.

Off to get the ablutions tended to. I had a nosey at the eye again, it looks a tad worse than yesterday, and the annoying itching continues. As for the ablutions, well, hardly any problems at all. It was as if I was in a dream! Total all the way through, there were only about six dropsies, nowt knocked over – Grrreat!

Back to the computer, and I saw the thick quilt that I was going to wash earlier. It was where I left it, folded on the clothes airer, so I wouldn’t forget it – but I did! So I set to washing it in the sink, and it was a bit of a job, with it being thicker. I then hung on the shower track in the wet room to dry.

I made a start on the waste bag assembling. And found four letters had been posted, I went off to investigate, one from the NHS – DVT Deep-Vein-Thrombosis Warfarin clinic with the results of the last blood test, the INR was up to 3.4, which is almost spot-on, at last something went right! Yee-Haa!

The next one, was from the City of Nottingham City Police, about the Pegasus listing I presume, I’ve not opened it yet. I must ask Deana if she can help me that one, it needs a lot of living details filling in about Winwood Heights.

Another from the NHS, telling to book an appointment for the Covid-19 Vaccine – this is the third one I’ve had, and the appointments were made last Wednesday, I think it was. Another, telling me the same thing, including a leaflet of what to expect and do at the appointment.

Sister Jane rang, I was in the middle of sorting out the waste bags, and she said she’d ring back. Which she did! I got the job cleared up, and she rang back with impeccable timing, as is her way. Haha! We had a good chinwag, Pete chipping in. He’s doing so well with his Big C – Super! We even managed a few laughs and a spot of reminiscing, too!

I got the waste bags on the walker and limped along through flat looby, to the end of the lift lobby, and into the chute room – not an uneventful little poddle as it turned out…

As I fumbled a little to get in without scratching the new paintwork with the trolley-guide wheels, the blasted git of a bad timer, SSS gave me a bashing at the worst possible moment! Just as I opened the cover and reached down to pick the bag up, SSS made me clout the back of my elbow joint on the cast iron metal!

I’m writing this a couple of hours later than when it happened, and the elbow still hurts! Grigglesbogworthy!

Of course, it didn’t bother me really.

I went down ion the lift to take the recycling stuff to the bin. The flooring chaps were working in the lobby, and the main front doors were out of bounds, so I went through the caretaker’s access room, and out to the big bin.

Back up, had a mug of Thompsons Punjana tea, rubbed some Phorpain Gel on the bashed up elbow, and top, the midday medications, olive oiled the lugholes nibbled some Pretzel pieces, the Honey, Mustard and Onion flavoured ones. Gawd they’re good!

I then investigated the chances of getting a Sainsbury order done for next Monday or Tuesday. I see what’s what and available, back in a bit folks…

Few options on slots I’m afraid, I had no choice than to have a late one – Fangnations! Wednesday 10th February 2021 – 18:30>19:30hrs. Still, I can look forward to getting some of the ordered minced beef to make the Chill-Con-Carne with, hopefully, some leeks, parsnips, onions and carrots to go with it this time. I’ve blocked substitutes on the veg, else I might have ended up their Sainsbury’s famous Super-Substitutes and got things like; a cheese knife, pickled walnut and/or some postage stamps.

The weariness is coming on. I put the delivery on the Google Calendar. Added some diced onions on the Iceland order for Saturday.

I got an email telling me that the damned charges for the mobile are going up again! That was nice… Grumphs!

A year or so ago, I called in the shop in Victoria Centre to cancel the contract… and the smooth, villainous, young Arthur Daily type assistant manager, said they could put me on a contract with free calls and texts, for a sim, at £15 a month. Naturally, I fell for the con. It’s gone up three times since, and a limit on free phone calls has come into play. Well, I don’t have Network Envy!

Going to get some nosh sorted, I’m fading fast here. Haha!

I took this snap from the kitchenette window, I’ve forgotten why, but there was a reason. (Tsk!)

Then I set to serving the meal up on the tray. And a decent one it was. The turkey slices were supposed to be Chilli-flavoured, some folks would have been disappointed, but the mild taste suited me down to the ground… Which is where some of the meat ended up when SSS gave me a rattling good shaking as I was getting it out of the packet! Cringleblastit! A worthy flavour-rating of 7.5/10, though. The sourdough bread had kept well, and as delicious with the Lurpac loaded on the slices! I noticed the bag’s writing had changed, and now states ‘Slow-fermented Starter-Dough’, what does that mean? I’ll get time eventually to ask Mr Google.

I washed the pots, and took the evening medications (that’s two nights remembering to take them on the trot, now! Hehe!).

Settled to watch two episodes of ‘Tales of the Unexpected’, on Freeview channel 11. Wonderfully, I flaked-out at the first set of adverts and was in the hands of Sweet Morpheus… Ahhh!

TFZer Battles the Virus!

Thursday 7th January 2021

Macedonia: Четврток, 7 Jануари 2021 година

23:55hrs: I stirred back into imitation life, passed the seemingly regulatory blast of wind as the innards rumbled away. Up and out of the recliner with little difficulty, this morning, caught my balance and passed an FBL (Forceful-Blasting-Lengthy) style wee-wee in the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee Bucket), and off to the kitchen to make a brew of Glengettie tea.

Moving with such ease that it almost had me worried?

I got the kettle on and took a photograph of the morning view, from the light & view-blocking new kitchenette windows.

As I was closing the window, the ailment free start to the day soon ended—the adventitious right leg Neuropathic Schuhplattler dance kicked-off. I think I may have dented the cupboard door with my right patella as it slammed into the door a couple of times! It was only a short fling, but was enough to leave me with BPB (Back-Pain-Brenda) and CKC (Cathy’s-Knee-Cartilage) giving me some gip! When I made and took the first sip of tea, the toothache started as well!

Judging by the warm wet sensation in the PPs, I think that Little Inches fungal lesion had been pulled in the dance and was bleeding. Off to the wet room, to find this was so. Ten minutes, and much discomfort later, I’d cleaned things, washed and medicated and got fresh PPs on. I was a smidge more unoptimistic for the day, now!

I got the computer booted up to load last nights photos, and the summoning to the Porcelain Throne arrived, so back to the wet room. (The most used room this morning, Haha!)

Oh my, oh my, and Wowser! I settled, and with no signs of any movement, I got the crossword book out, I’d got one answer written in, and the evacuation began, with little effort from me. A big torpedo again, yet amazingly. No pain and no bleeding! Damned messy though! Cleaned up (again) and back to the computer.

The tea had gone cold of course, so off to make another one, Co-op 99 this time. I did the Health Checks while waiting for the water to boil. The sphygmomanometer results were not good. SYS up to 181 and the pulse up to 92! I’d hoped things were getting better with the SYS, the last few were 162, 168, 167 and now this, 181? Tsk!

The Harpin Xian Di contactless thermometer gave a better reading of 36.8°c and was back in the green waiting range colour.

The tea had gone cold again, so off to make a brew of Thompsons Punjana. I saw the Morrison substituted can of chilli-con-carne, and pondered on what to have for my nosh later on. The Stagg and a tin of beans of some sort, I’ve plenty to choose from bean-wise. Might add some tomatoes, onions and make a drop of gravy to go in as well. Then again, knowing my dithering, dilly-dallying and tergiversation, it may be something else I decide on by the time I’m ready to start the cooking?

I got back to the computer and started updating the Wednesday post. But drinking the tea was just too painful with the toothache.

Got the post finished in a couple of hours. Some odd noises while I was doing it, from somewhere above the flat? Hard to describe, though. A sort of rattling come tap-tapping sound? And the flaming ‘Hum’ was slowly getting so much louder.

I posted off the blog. Emailed the link, Pinterested some snaps, and went on Facebooking catch-up.

I went on the CorelDraw and used the photo that Brother-in-law Pete had emailed about his hair growing and him being in remission (Marvellous!), to make a humour graphic. I hope he likes it and gets a laugh from it. Hahaha! Well done, Pete!

Carried on with the Facebooking. Then went on the WordPress Reader, ended up sorting and answering the comments.

Several more wee-wees was taken, but they had, just like yesterday, have gone down to the weak WUNT (Weak-Unwilling-Negligible-Trickling) style.

As I got up to have another wee, BPB and CC were both still protesting about the earlier involuntary right leg Neuropathic Schuhplattler dance, in no uncertain terms. By hurting, a lot! Hahaha!

Spotted a card had come through the letterbox. Royal Mail seems I have a parcel at their depot, they can’t deliver it cause there is some money to pay to cover short postage. Is this a con-job? Mmm!

I’ll ask someone what they think if I ever get to see anyone.

The fog and mist were freezing, as I opened the window to try to take some snaps of the weather wintery weather, well, it is January. (See how quick I was there? Haha)

I looked further into what to dine on today. And got the meal prepped, far too early in the day, but I carried on with it. I opened the can of Kala Chana beans, drained them and tasted some of them. They were okay tastewise and soft enough to risk with the damned toothache.

That’s the toothache that the dentist told me, is nothing to worry about! Nothing for her to worry about maybe! Swine!

I put some mixed Oxo in with the beans and got them into the saucepan. (That’ll be the one I burnt, last night) Sliced some tomatoes and onions, and I added them to the pan and gave everything a joy-good stirring up, all ready to just warm up later. What, do yer think? I do hope it comes out alright.

Well, on the last template now. So I need to get at least one made up for tomorrow. So, I had to make some graphics up. Onto CorelDraw and did so. A long job. Got the needed graphics finished at long last. Making the templates is another long job, but that will have to wait until I get the ablutions sorted out. Back in a bit, I hope!

I’m back. Everything,  (well, not BPB or Toothache Thomas, but other than these) went spiffingly, ablution-wise. My recently acquired acrasia was all calm for once. Why? I’ve no idea! The total dropsies were only about half-a-dozen. Not a single Balance-Brain, or Dizzy Dennis attack! Only two tiny cuts shaving! After drying off without incident, and medicationalisationing so comfortably, I was tempted to hang on in the wet room for a while for some calamity to happen, I felt it must come, but it didn’t. Hehehe!

I set about getting the templates started. And boy, did take me a while. The template log looked like this when I started, just the actual templates to make up now I have all the graphics done and ready now.

No interruptions, I got belting at it… Seven hours later, I got it finished!

I kept checking on the CCC (Chilli-Con-Carne) in the saucepan as I put the heat back on. I tasted some, it was a little stong for me, but I liked it. The new beans seem to go well with all the other stuff I added to this aromatic, veritable nosh.

I took a couple more photographs of the evening view, to the accompaniment of Herberts, banging and scuffing.

Then I served up the meal and got the saucepan etc. washed quickly. As I mentioned earlier, it was a tad strong, but as I ate it, I began not to notice it so much. No bread was eaten with it, just a lemon dessert afterwards. The flavour rating given was 7.9/10, well praiseworthy. But, I kept spilling the liquid down my front and dirtying the quilt. Humph!

I got up and washed the things up. I was getting proper cold again in the flat. Well, it does if some idiot keeps opening the window to take photographs. Chuckle!

No Thought Storms again, as I settled in the c1968 recliner. Put theTV on, but didn’t see any of it, for Sweet Morpheus came so easily. Not surprising really, as it was three hours passed my usual head-down time.

The peace lasted for four hours then something, perhaps a noise of some sort (I think), had me springing awake. I had to do a search for the cause of whatever it was that disturbed my slumber, nothing found. By then, I’d stubbed my toe, walked into the door frame, and needed a wee-wee… Tsk! So, stayed up and got the updating done on this blog.

Welsh: Dydd Mawrth 5ed Ionawr 2021

00:10hrs: I stirred back into an imitation of the absurdity of life, and involuntarily passed wind. The couple of rumbles from the innards, then I grappled with my substantive, overly-sufficient, superabundant, unweildly, flobby-bellied body, and got up on my feet, painfully this time, due to CC (Cartilage Cathy) being very tender underneath the right kneecap area, for some unknown reason. Caught my balance, and was about to go to the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee Bucket), and realised I didn’t need one!

Well, well, that’s the first time I have woken up for months, not wanting a wee-wee? This threw me off kilter a bit!

I tore off the plaster on the arm from the blood taking, to find another new thing, the arm vein seems to have bled a little, which is no surprise of course, but the blood under the skin looked a little pinkish. Mmm? Of course, it could be my eyes, with me being colour blind on reds, maybe.

I was at a loss, with the brain wanting to wee-wee, but the body, not. So, I got on with the Health Checks, hoping for better results today. But the Sphygmomanometer showed that the SYS had crept back up a tiny bit, at 166. A shame that I thought it was getting lower, as well. Thunderhopesdie! and the flipping pulse was up, to 97 bpm! Can’t win!

Then the body temperature on the thermometer, came up in the warning-orange colour in the background, at 37.5°c.

Disappointing results, to say the least.

Made a brew of Glengettie, I and cracked on with the updating of yesterdays blog.

Loaded the photographs from last night. Took me a long time, but I got there in the end.

When I came across a picture of the funny cartoon. I got sidetracked, giving me an idea to copy and use it as a page topper, and I made it on CorelDraw and Paint.

Posted the diary to WordPress. Emailed the link. And went on Facebook catch-up. Then had a perusal of the WordPress Reader. When closing it down, the ‘Hum’ seemed to get a smidge less loud?

I started this blog going, but could not get caught up with it, as the Morrison (The Substitute Experts) are due, twixt 08:00>09:00hrs. Had to stop to get the ablutions seen to early, too early to use the noisy shower. But it went fairly well. All done, I made a brew of 99 tea, and back onto the computer, I went.

An email had come in from Morrisons (The Substitute Experts), with a list of what had been substituted, Cunningly, they had not put the amounts of substitutes or missing goods? So I’ll investigate later to see if they have.

The tea had gone cold (Fancy that!) I went to wash the mug, and for some unrealised reason, all of the lights outside seemed to be so much brighter than they usually are. It could just be Saccades Sandra or the achromatopsia. The scene looked beautiful to me, even though it wasn’t an outstanding photograph.

The Morrison (The Substitute Experts), deliveryman ran the intercom. Like lightning, he was soon up at the door with the groceries. Put them through the door for me, and was off, after refusing a canned topple in thanks—nice chap, friendly enough. I got the stuff put away, rather swiftly, I boast! For, I wanted to get to see about sorting the substitutes and missing goods.

I donned my Sherlock Holmesian mode and checked on the Substitute and Missing items.

No disposable Bic-1 or 2 razors. The spring water subbed with Morrisons own brand. The 50p vinegar, substituted by a bottle three times bigger.

The really nasty one for me was the Morrisons Savers Chilli Con Carne, I suspected this might happen, but took a chance (Will I ever learn? No!), and ordered four cans, at 90p each, with these being my favourites taste-wise. But no, they send me two cans of the highest priced Chilli they sell, which is too strong for my palate, at – £5.70! Fungleboggles! Gruffungrobblings! and Grumbleclonkackers!

I’d love to pop down to see them, and have a gentle little pow-wow with them, and explain the problems they have and still do cause me, on every order I can a get a slot for. I’m sure they would understand…

I made some brekkers. Savoury, of course. The tiny cheese and pickle pork pies from Iceland are deliciously tangy, and for once I could taste a bit of it. Which makes me think that the taste-buds are regaining their flavour-appreciating days if old. Yeehaa! Oops! Sod-it, I’ve set the tooth-ache off again, now! Serves me right for the naughty thoughts I’d just had. Hehehe! Oh, I’ve just seen a face in the crisps in the photo. A bit like a lions head, or apes maybe.

Out of sheer spite, I did an order with Sainsbury. They are as bad with substitutes when I forget to mark think as no substitute. Like the wrong size PP’s (Protection Pants) being sent, and the Soda Bread being substituted with pikelets! Tsk! But I made sure this time, that I ticked everything almost as no substitute. Not the milk and bread cause that wouldn’t matter so much… mind you, even they are likely to send disinfectant as a substitute for bread.

I’ll find out when the delivery arrives. An email arrived to confirm the order, for next Tuesday 12th January, twixt 06:30 > 07:30hrs.

I opened the YourArea news sheet, the first news was not very good at all, Coronvirus figures!

The next item was:

A teenager was taken to hospital with a reported gash to his head after masked men allegedly attacked him in his home. Police say a 15-year-old boy suffered stab wounds to his eye, leg and head during the incident. His injuries have since been described as not life-altering.

There were photographs of Nottingham, yesterday, the first day of the new lockdown.

More stabbings, arrests for parties, sop much crime. It depressed me a bit. So, I got some bags sorted out to take to the bins and chute.

I dropped the small bags down the chute. Took the recycling bag and box down to the caretaker’s place, and back up to drop the bag off at Jenny’s. Found the INR results had been posted on the way out. That was quick this week, the day after the blood taking!

I took a photo of the overloaded trolley, it had the box, two carrier bags and the bag was full of waste bags, it was a battle not to lose anything just getting it out of the door.

Somehow, this photo, one of my betterer ones, of course, it had to be, didn’t it? Had gotten lost from the SD card into the ether. At times I could cry when this happens, Hehehe! I know it went on, I recall looking at it on the viewer and being so chuffed with myself at the quality of it… Grumph Gnash, and Grangleclomps!

I went straight down in the lift with the all of the bags boxes and trolley-walker. And was going down to Jenny’s floor, when I realised I’d forgotten to drop the small bags into the waste chute!

Then, annoyed with myself, I forgot to press Jenny’s floor number, and went down to the ground floor!

The worker lads were busy working on the final upgrading before their lunch or maybe just starting after having their din-dins. I gave them a cheery ‘Are you all okay, lads?’ But either, they didn’t hear me due to the facemask, or they were keen to get the job done. Hehe!

I took these terrible photos of the lift lobby to my left and right. But of course, these stayed on the SD card, Huh!

As I walked out through to the front door, the box on top of the trolley was slipping off the top of the trolley-walker, all I did was grab it, it wasn’t heavy, and put it back between the handlebars… But, this was enough to set of BPB (Back-Pain-Brenda), and she’s been hurting ever since, and was as I finally got my head down on the recliner in the flat, a couple of hours or so later! All a part of ‘The mysteries of ‘Woodthorpe Court’. The mysteries of Woodthorpe Court, with the hobgoblins, extraterrestrials, spectres. gnomai, phantasms, ghost, succubuses, the grotesque succubae, fata morganas and ectoplasms that have been sent to taunt, irritate and poke mullock at Inchcock! (And very successful they are, too!)

I put the box and behemothic recycling bag near the bins. Offered a cheery, “Good afternoon, I hope things are going alright for you”, to Robert. Then made my way back into the building, nobody about, and up in the lift to Jenny’s floor. Dropped the bag near her door, I don’t think the bell is working, but I pressed it, and knocked on the door, back to the elevator and back up to the 12th floor.

As I started readying the food, I realised that the taste-buds had gone again. I’m confused (which is my usual state, I suppose nowadays, Tsk!), about this tasting problem. I’d had about three days tasting nothing, or things tasted different to usual, then yesterday my appetence for food returned. However, the linguae were not working properly, I did eat a meal.

Now, suddenly things have gone back to an almost non-desire for food, I forced myself to make a small snack. I deliberately had some of my favourite foods. The Walls sausages, Irish potato farls, tomatoes, a pickled egg, Marmite cheese disc, and a Bliss lemon dessert. So disappointing, when I couldn’t eat it all, there was only a small amount as well, but the waste bin bag got most of it, Hehehe! For the first time ever, some of the lemon dessert was left uneaten!

My craving for food has been eliminated, I’m eating far less and throwing more away than ever. What I’m managing to eat, tastes nothing like it used to. And for some reason, the spring water mixed with Jif lime, lemon or orange cordial, is more appealing and I’m guzzling down a fair amount of it?

If this cold whatever it is, doesn’t get better soon, and the taste-buds reactivate soon, I may get depressed, you know. Hunglegrumps!

Got the pots washed, then I got down in the £300, second-hand, c1968, cringingly-beige-coloured, not-working, rickety recliner, and turned on the telly.

After a couple of hours waiting for Sweet Morpheus to arrive, and battling the Thought-Storms, I noticed a Kitchen Nightmare programme was starting in the box. I managed to watch it up until the adverts came on… ZZZ!

Sadly Missed!

Monday 4th January 2021

Icelandic: Mánudaginn 4 Lanúar 2021

01:35hrs: In slow motion this morning, the gradual renewal of consciousness arrived, with the brain working straight away! Not very well, a little confused, but activated! Facts, worries, fears etc. soon started milling about in my poor battered mind. Yes, it was a Thought-Storm!

As the toothache got peskier with me, I realised I’d had six-hours-kip! Albeit fragmented, the total was the longest for many weeks. The lack of taste, coughing, and then the blasted-loud ‘Hum’ came to mind. Luckily, the need for the traditional early-waking-wee-wee arrived to break the thoughts.

Disentangling myself from the grotty, £300, second-hand, c1968, unsteady, not-working, incommodious, sickenly beige-coloured, haemorrhoid-testing recliner, was far easier for some reason… oh yes, the urgent need for the wee-wee possibly? Another half-hearted effort, of the UTD (Unwilling-Trickling-Dribbling) variety, this time with a lot of annoying PMAD (Post-Micturition After-Dribble).

I went to the wet room to clean things up, giving the door frame a fair whack on the way in. I may have muttered something along the lines of “Well, fancy that!”

Not the slightest desire for a mug of tea, that worried me a bit. I got the made in China Chinese made Harpin Xian Di contactless thermometer used. And got a fair result at 36.3°c, a bit down on yesterdays 36.6°c, but it did feel colder all around this morning, Brrr!

The £38.99 Boot’s made in China Sphygmomanometer readings showing that the SYS at 162, was the same as yesterday. If I remember right. Still a smidge high, but it always has been for months now. The annoying thing is that whenever a medical professional takes the BP, the Sys is around 145? Even doing so with the same machine!

A new pain, just under the left nipple on my chest, started up. I don’t think it’s Duodenal Donald or Anne Gyna? The End is Nigh! Well, hopefully, not. Hehehe!

As I was about to start the blog updating, I needed to divert to the Porcelain Throne, which I did. There felt like no rush, though, as it proved when I got down on the Throne. The indications were that the DESB (Daily-Evacuation-Stakes-Battle) between Trotsky Terence and Constipation Konrad, was going to be a different result this time, a victory for Constipation Konrad. And it was! After the torpedo had wedged itself solid, getting the motion started, I needed a lot of effort and input. It took ages before it began moving again. The pain was maybe on a 5/10 on the agony-scale, so not too bad. Not messy at all, solid and the largest dollop that flushing three times failed to clear away!

I added some bleach, toilet cleaner and the last of the sink-unblocker liquid then poked a stick down into the water, left it a few minutes and tried a fourth time at flushing… Nope, it didn’t have it!

I put more bleach in (and got the rear end cleaned, there were just a few blood spots). After each flush, I refilled the tank with the jugs of water from the sink, to hasten the process. I lost count of how man times I refilled and reflushed the tank, and eventually, it looked alright, but I had no confidence and would check it later. Writing this reminded me, and I went to have a look!

Shit! The evacuated product is back up in the bowl again! Another hour lost, unplugging, refilling, flushing, and still, I’m not sure it’s all gone. I’ll leave it, and keep an eye on it, not that I can much more, while I get the ablutions done. Retirement they call it, huh! Never been busier!

I got the blog finished, emailed the link, went on Facebooking, then the WP Reader. I was getting a tad confused at this time.

I turned off the computer to cool down and got the ablutions seen too. The Blood nurse is coming anytime after 08:00hrs. But, yet again, my woolliness, tergiversation of mind activated, and I ended up hand-washing the maroon zip-up jacket, instead. But not before taking this photo of the moon. Tsk! More indecisiveness to the fore! I suppose as a shilly-shallying persons go, I must be the cream? Hehehe!

Blimus O’Reilly, and Dangnationables! I got in the wet room, and the evacuated content was coming back up into the toilet bowl again! I spent even longer than the last time trying to clear things! I got the stick to try to reach and break up the torpedo again, the stick broke. Flushed and refilled the tank several times, to many to count, put bleach down it, toilet cleaner, disinfectant, more bleach, and still it kept coming back up!

Many more flushes and tank refills later, I’d tried the last of the drain unblocker and put mould removal in as well! I’m praying it will keep clear this time, but the water keeps turning a light brown after a minute or so of flushing! I’m fed up with it now! Sulking-Mode engaged!

At last, I got the ablutions started: No showering, it’s too early for that with the noise. The session was off to a bad start, as the toothache was worsened by the Detox toothpaste cleaning. Dropsies three.

Aha, bit if good luck with this. Fair enough there were five or six dropsies, but there were only the two cuts! The medicating went well also, no complaints, and only three dropsies!

As I was getting the new PPs on, I lost balance; but I did not go down this time. Luckily I fell towards the door, which very unfortunately set of SSS with her shoulder-shuddering. Yer, can’t win ’em all!

Then, I noticed the colour of the water in the toilet bowl. Scrapbongles! Brown! So, I flushed and refilled a few times, no success. I had a go at poking with another stick, without any luck. A damned good job I had plenty of bleach in, cause I poured a full bottle in, and left it to hopefully work, while I got dressed.

Back to have a look, reflushed and refilled the tank, and waited. I’m still not sure it worked, but at that moment it was almost clear. I can get depressed, you know!

I took this shot with the Canon camera. Then put the kettle on, it’s about time I tried a mug of Glengettie.

More out of habit than really needing or wanting one. The taste-buds going on strike is a puzzle to me. Back to the computer, and booted it up, and downloaded some photographs. Not that the Microsoft Photo thing was working again. I’ve found that when the One-Drive photo thing refuses to recognise the SD card, if I go on CoralDraw, and import, sometimes the F-Drive comes up, and I load from there, as it was today. If I leave the SD card in the drive, sometimes, anything from 2 minutes to an hour later, the One-Drive crap opens and reads the card? Farcical!

As I was uploading the pictures, the intercom flashed. It was the Vampir Nurse, bless her, Caroline; I think her name is. I pressed the admit button, and the gal was up and in the door within two minutes!

A nice natured gal. She did not mess about getting the blood taken, but she had the nouse to chinwag while doing it.

This was marvellous for me, after seeing nobody, and going chinwagless for several days now. Apart from Josie, of course. Who, I am the proud Sunday Chef for, and someone for her to wake up nearly every week. Haha! Bless her!

Caroline soon had me sorted out, and with a part-armful of blood, she went to leave. But I wasn’t having her go without a treat of a can of plonk of her choice. Being her first port-of-call so as to put it, I could understand her rushing a bit, to try and make a good start to the day.

I took the belated morning medications and back on the computer to update this blog.

Doing the pleasing job of CorelDraw graphics was still needed, so I had a quick look at the comments and then got on with it. Three hours later, the wariness dawned, a bit later than usual – that’ll be because I was enjoying doing the graphics for the blog templates. Unfortunately, I still have some more to do yet. But I made progress with them.

Feeling not so bad now, I feel up to some chilli-con-carne, I’ll do some cobs in the oven to go with the CCC.

I’ll be back in the morning, or later this evening to update things. TTFNski.

Tuesday 01:30hrs: I’m back, updating.

I got the Chilli-Con-Carne can in the saucepan and added some Squid Sauce (Anchovy),  made some gravy and added it with the garden peas. O actually felt I could manage this, at last, I felt hungry again. I’ve not been sop desiderate over a meal in weeks, I just hope to eat it and enjoy it. It looked like it was well-eatable to me.

I put the rolls in the oven, to find one single one in there from yesterday, that had now been cooked twice. Haha! Ah. Well, at least I was still feeling hungry, but not for that cob, of course.

I got the meal served up in the basin and the cobs on the tray. Down in the recliner, put the TV on to watch, got ‘The Bunker’ showing on TV film on, and started to wallow in the food, and enjoy the film. Peace, contentment and satisfaction, great!

The landline light flashed, oh, dearie me, what timing. I fought my way out of the recliner without any Accifaupas and got to answer the phone in time before it rang off.

T’was the Doctors surgery receptionist, with the results of the INR test, and new dosages. The INR level was down to 1.7, and she checked that I had any loaded in-date,  Enoxaparin hypos in stock. I told her I had about eight 80mg needles in hand. (I’m not sure how I knew this but felt sure I was right I was wrong as it happens, Humph!) The patient nice receptionist gave me the new dosages for Warfarin.

Which was massively increased, considering the 1.7 level, I thought. Tonight 3, Tue 2.5, Wed 3, Thurs 2.5, Fri 2.5, Sat 3, Sun 2.5. And she will arrange a blood test for Monday, 12th January. The blood will be that thin, I anticipate Little Inchies fungal lesion, and Harold’s Haemorrhoids to be bleeding well after a couple of days. Maybe I could use the Warfarin intake as my main meal for a few days? Hehehe! I thanked the kind lady.

Putting these details on the calendar, I noted that someone from the DVT, Warfarin Anticoagulation team will be contacting me tomorrow? I can’t remember this being arranged, or happening? I made notes of the details of the call.

Back to the now gone cold, Chilli-con-carne, but I still ate it all up. Although the last session, I didn’t enjoy so much. Lost the plot in the film, turned it off, and put some radio music on instead.

Which I think helped me to nod-off. Cause I got five hours sleep in! Grrreat!

Sethoso: Moqebelo Oa La 2 Pherekhong 2021

022:10hrs: After a grand four-hours kip, I stirred back into a mock, ersatz, imitation life, in need of a wee-wee.

I started to sing ♫Oh, what a beautiful morning♫, bounded up sprightly springing out of the recliner, and hastened skippingly to the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee Bucket). I passed a healthy, powerful, light coloured wee-wee…

Oh, alright then; I struggled out of the £300, rusty second-hand, c1968, cringingly-beige-coloured, not-working, rickety, incommodious, grotty recliner, and somehow manipulated my horrendously flabby, overly-stomached wobbling body up on its feet. Caught my balance, and limped to the bucket, and spent a few minutes waiting for the wee-wee to start, and few more waiting for it to stop.

Washed my hands, and started the Health Checks, then took the medications.

Disconcertingly, the Boot’s made in China Sphygmomanometer, gave a higher reading for the SYS, up again!

The previous two readings, Thursday; 178, Friday; 184, and this morning, it had climbed to 189! Not good, this?

However, the Chinese’s body temperature made Harpin Xian Di contactless thermometer, was back down and in the green. I’m not doing very well here, am I? Tsk”, Spurgledamnations! and Hogglebogwash!

I made a start on the updating of yesterday’s post. Got it finished and posted off to WordPress. During which, I only needed two wee-wees, and the taste of last nights Marmite feast kept coming back up. I liked it! Hehehehe! Went on the WordPress reader. Then the blog comments.

Emailed the link. Did the Facebooking catch-up. A better than average, for me, TFZer graphic (top of this page) was created, it is TFZer Keith, who has just got home from a week or more in the hospital, with the bloody Coronavirus! Hope it cheers him up a tad. Good luck, mate!

A summons to the Throne arrived, and it felt imperative that I got to the Throne in time… Oh, dear! But I managed it.

It was yet another mammoth content affair, it needed a fair bit of input from me to get things moving, and rid the innards of it, too! Which went against the earlier believe that things were going to be under the control of Trotsky Terence. Constipation Konrad was back in charge. The crossword book had a good bashing in between the starting and stopping of the torpedo’s evacuation. Hehe

Washed the hands and as I was doing so, a noise like yesterday morning was heard. Much like heavy machinery starting up, followed a minutes later, the sound of it dying down again. I wonder if anyone else heard it? Ah, well, as I am in lockdown, the chances of seeing anyone, to ask them is minimal.

I nipped to the kitchenette to make another brew of Glengettie, and crack my ankle knuckle on the door frame edge. Naturally, I merely laughed at the pain, smiled and carried on to make the brew… but the innards rumbled, and a second summoning to the Porcelain Throne arrived, off to the wet room I hobbled.

Well, this visit was totally different than the one that was taken only a few minutes ago?

Trotsky Terence easily won the ESB (Evacuation-Stakes-Battle) Constipation Konrad was defeated this time!

How come, the change? Why? What’s going on here? The blood pressure is going ape-shit! The Porcelain Throne visits are different every time! The wee-wees are, too! Shit is going. The skin varies from pale to almost transparent! The balance is so variable, but why? And another thing is why it is always holiday times when people are not available to get help from, that these things happen? Hey-Ho! Rant over!

As I was washing after the evacuation, I spotted a new burst of veins coming through on the right leg. And, a new spot developing and growing quickly, well several of them. Ah, well, back to the computerisationing.

The sounding much-like heavy machinery starting up, followed minutes later with the sound of it dying down again, just repeated itself once more. I’ve started shivering for some reason, feeling so cold. I checked the heater, its warm, but only just? Looked at the thermometer-humidity thingy, then checked it against the wall thermometer. One indicates it is 38°c, the other 23°c? Was it something to do with the heating, the noise I mean?

The temperature on the wall thermometer puzzled me a bit. So I picked it up to investigate further, in my Sherlock Holmesian, style. Guess what? It shattered to pieces in my hand! The mysteries of Qoodthorpe Court, returning? Humph!

I got breakfast made up. I really did feel hungry and made a decent plateful. Once I settled to eat it, I could manage even a quarter of it. Everything tasted different than I expected? Horrible! Even the mini pork and pickle pie and MArmite cheese were tasteless. The majority of it ended up in the bin. What a shame!

Back to CorelDraw to do some graphicalisationing for later on. A couple of hours later, the weariness dawned, I continued to update the blog for another hour or so, and oddly the hunger returned? What’s going on here? Beats me! I went to get the main meal sorted out. I got the meatballs in the oven cooking, and the CCC (Chilli-Con-Carne) in the saucepan (canned today). I must order some more minced beef.

As I took a wide shot of the view out the window, I noticed what looked like another fire. I took a zoomed-in shot of what looked like the Basford area,.

Then got the meal served-up and in the dish. It looked good, I’d got the milk roll bread to soak up the liquids, and started the feasting… Oh, sod-it! The taste goblets were still flat. I’m sure I cooked the meatballs right, this should have been a right treat to gustatory cells. But again, half of it was thrown away. Tsk!

I put the things in the kitchen, turned off the computer, and sat down, to have a ponder over things. I think I fell asleep straight away…

I woke at 23:00hrs, feeling uncomfortable in mind and body.
