TFZer Battles the Virus!

Thursday 7th January 2021

Macedonia: Четврток, 7 Jануари 2021 година

23:55hrs: I stirred back into imitation life, passed the seemingly regulatory blast of wind as the innards rumbled away. Up and out of the recliner with little difficulty, this morning, caught my balance and passed an FBL (Forceful-Blasting-Lengthy) style wee-wee in the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee Bucket), and off to the kitchen to make a brew of Glengettie tea.

Moving with such ease that it almost had me worried?

I got the kettle on and took a photograph of the morning view, from the light & view-blocking new kitchenette windows.

As I was closing the window, the ailment free start to the day soon ended—the adventitious right leg Neuropathic Schuhplattler dance kicked-off. I think I may have dented the cupboard door with my right patella as it slammed into the door a couple of times! It was only a short fling, but was enough to leave me with BPB (Back-Pain-Brenda) and CKC (Cathy’s-Knee-Cartilage) giving me some gip! When I made and took the first sip of tea, the toothache started as well!

Judging by the warm wet sensation in the PPs, I think that Little Inches fungal lesion had been pulled in the dance and was bleeding. Off to the wet room, to find this was so. Ten minutes, and much discomfort later, I’d cleaned things, washed and medicated and got fresh PPs on. I was a smidge more unoptimistic for the day, now!

I got the computer booted up to load last nights photos, and the summoning to the Porcelain Throne arrived, so back to the wet room. (The most used room this morning, Haha!)

Oh my, oh my, and Wowser! I settled, and with no signs of any movement, I got the crossword book out, I’d got one answer written in, and the evacuation began, with little effort from me. A big torpedo again, yet amazingly. No pain and no bleeding! Damned messy though! Cleaned up (again) and back to the computer.

The tea had gone cold of course, so off to make another one, Co-op 99 this time. I did the Health Checks while waiting for the water to boil. The sphygmomanometer results were not good. SYS up to 181 and the pulse up to 92! I’d hoped things were getting better with the SYS, the last few were 162, 168, 167 and now this, 181? Tsk!

The Harpin Xian Di contactless thermometer gave a better reading of 36.8°c and was back in the green waiting range colour.

The tea had gone cold again, so off to make a brew of Thompsons Punjana. I saw the Morrison substituted can of chilli-con-carne, and pondered on what to have for my nosh later on. The Stagg and a tin of beans of some sort, I’ve plenty to choose from bean-wise. Might add some tomatoes, onions and make a drop of gravy to go in as well. Then again, knowing my dithering, dilly-dallying and tergiversation, it may be something else I decide on by the time I’m ready to start the cooking?

I got back to the computer and started updating the Wednesday post. But drinking the tea was just too painful with the toothache.

Got the post finished in a couple of hours. Some odd noises while I was doing it, from somewhere above the flat? Hard to describe, though. A sort of rattling come tap-tapping sound? And the flaming ‘Hum’ was slowly getting so much louder.

I posted off the blog. Emailed the link, Pinterested some snaps, and went on Facebooking catch-up.

I went on the CorelDraw and used the photo that Brother-in-law Pete had emailed about his hair growing and him being in remission (Marvellous!), to make a humour graphic. I hope he likes it and gets a laugh from it. Hahaha! Well done, Pete!

Carried on with the Facebooking. Then went on the WordPress Reader, ended up sorting and answering the comments.

Several more wee-wees was taken, but they had, just like yesterday, have gone down to the weak WUNT (Weak-Unwilling-Negligible-Trickling) style.

As I got up to have another wee, BPB and CC were both still protesting about the earlier involuntary right leg Neuropathic Schuhplattler dance, in no uncertain terms. By hurting, a lot! Hahaha!

Spotted a card had come through the letterbox. Royal Mail seems I have a parcel at their depot, they can’t deliver it cause there is some money to pay to cover short postage. Is this a con-job? Mmm!

I’ll ask someone what they think if I ever get to see anyone.

The fog and mist were freezing, as I opened the window to try to take some snaps of the weather wintery weather, well, it is January. (See how quick I was there? Haha)

I looked further into what to dine on today. And got the meal prepped, far too early in the day, but I carried on with it. I opened the can of Kala Chana beans, drained them and tasted some of them. They were okay tastewise and soft enough to risk with the damned toothache.

That’s the toothache that the dentist told me, is nothing to worry about! Nothing for her to worry about maybe! Swine!

I put some mixed Oxo in with the beans and got them into the saucepan. (That’ll be the one I burnt, last night) Sliced some tomatoes and onions, and I added them to the pan and gave everything a joy-good stirring up, all ready to just warm up later. What, do yer think? I do hope it comes out alright.

Well, on the last template now. So I need to get at least one made up for tomorrow. So, I had to make some graphics up. Onto CorelDraw and did so. A long job. Got the needed graphics finished at long last. Making the templates is another long job, but that will have to wait until I get the ablutions sorted out. Back in a bit, I hope!

I’m back. Everything,  (well, not BPB or Toothache Thomas, but other than these) went spiffingly, ablution-wise. My recently acquired acrasia was all calm for once. Why? I’ve no idea! The total dropsies were only about half-a-dozen. Not a single Balance-Brain, or Dizzy Dennis attack! Only two tiny cuts shaving! After drying off without incident, and medicationalisationing so comfortably, I was tempted to hang on in the wet room for a while for some calamity to happen, I felt it must come, but it didn’t. Hehehe!

I set about getting the templates started. And boy, did take me a while. The template log looked like this when I started, just the actual templates to make up now I have all the graphics done and ready now.

No interruptions, I got belting at it… Seven hours later, I got it finished!

I kept checking on the CCC (Chilli-Con-Carne) in the saucepan as I put the heat back on. I tasted some, it was a little stong for me, but I liked it. The new beans seem to go well with all the other stuff I added to this aromatic, veritable nosh.

I took a couple more photographs of the evening view, to the accompaniment of Herberts, banging and scuffing.

Then I served up the meal and got the saucepan etc. washed quickly. As I mentioned earlier, it was a tad strong, but as I ate it, I began not to notice it so much. No bread was eaten with it, just a lemon dessert afterwards. The flavour rating given was 7.9/10, well praiseworthy. But, I kept spilling the liquid down my front and dirtying the quilt. Humph!

I got up and washed the things up. I was getting proper cold again in the flat. Well, it does if some idiot keeps opening the window to take photographs. Chuckle!

No Thought Storms again, as I settled in the c1968 recliner. Put theTV on, but didn’t see any of it, for Sweet Morpheus came so easily. Not surprising really, as it was three hours passed my usual head-down time.

The peace lasted for four hours then something, perhaps a noise of some sort (I think), had me springing awake. I had to do a search for the cause of whatever it was that disturbed my slumber, nothing found. By then, I’d stubbed my toe, walked into the door frame, and needed a wee-wee… Tsk! So, stayed up and got the updating done on this blog.

Welsh: Dydd Mawrth 5ed Ionawr 2021

00:10hrs: I stirred back into an imitation of the absurdity of life, and involuntarily passed wind. The couple of rumbles from the innards, then I grappled with my substantive, overly-sufficient, superabundant, unweildly, flobby-bellied body, and got up on my feet, painfully this time, due to CC (Cartilage Cathy) being very tender underneath the right kneecap area, for some unknown reason. Caught my balance, and was about to go to the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee Bucket), and realised I didn’t need one!

Well, well, that’s the first time I have woken up for months, not wanting a wee-wee? This threw me off kilter a bit!

I tore off the plaster on the arm from the blood taking, to find another new thing, the arm vein seems to have bled a little, which is no surprise of course, but the blood under the skin looked a little pinkish. Mmm? Of course, it could be my eyes, with me being colour blind on reds, maybe.

I was at a loss, with the brain wanting to wee-wee, but the body, not. So, I got on with the Health Checks, hoping for better results today. But the Sphygmomanometer showed that the SYS had crept back up a tiny bit, at 166. A shame that I thought it was getting lower, as well. Thunderhopesdie! and the flipping pulse was up, to 97 bpm! Can’t win!

Then the body temperature on the thermometer, came up in the warning-orange colour in the background, at 37.5°c.

Disappointing results, to say the least.

Made a brew of Glengettie, I and cracked on with the updating of yesterdays blog.

Loaded the photographs from last night. Took me a long time, but I got there in the end.

When I came across a picture of the funny cartoon. I got sidetracked, giving me an idea to copy and use it as a page topper, and I made it on CorelDraw and Paint.

Posted the diary to WordPress. Emailed the link. And went on Facebook catch-up. Then had a perusal of the WordPress Reader. When closing it down, the ‘Hum’ seemed to get a smidge less loud?

I started this blog going, but could not get caught up with it, as the Morrison (The Substitute Experts) are due, twixt 08:00>09:00hrs. Had to stop to get the ablutions seen to early, too early to use the noisy shower. But it went fairly well. All done, I made a brew of 99 tea, and back onto the computer, I went.

An email had come in from Morrisons (The Substitute Experts), with a list of what had been substituted, Cunningly, they had not put the amounts of substitutes or missing goods? So I’ll investigate later to see if they have.

The tea had gone cold (Fancy that!) I went to wash the mug, and for some unrealised reason, all of the lights outside seemed to be so much brighter than they usually are. It could just be Saccades Sandra or the achromatopsia. The scene looked beautiful to me, even though it wasn’t an outstanding photograph.

The Morrison (The Substitute Experts), deliveryman ran the intercom. Like lightning, he was soon up at the door with the groceries. Put them through the door for me, and was off, after refusing a canned topple in thanks—nice chap, friendly enough. I got the stuff put away, rather swiftly, I boast! For, I wanted to get to see about sorting the substitutes and missing goods.

I donned my Sherlock Holmesian mode and checked on the Substitute and Missing items.

No disposable Bic-1 or 2 razors. The spring water subbed with Morrisons own brand. The 50p vinegar, substituted by a bottle three times bigger.

The really nasty one for me was the Morrisons Savers Chilli Con Carne, I suspected this might happen, but took a chance (Will I ever learn? No!), and ordered four cans, at 90p each, with these being my favourites taste-wise. But no, they send me two cans of the highest priced Chilli they sell, which is too strong for my palate, at – £5.70! Fungleboggles! Gruffungrobblings! and Grumbleclonkackers!

I’d love to pop down to see them, and have a gentle little pow-wow with them, and explain the problems they have and still do cause me, on every order I can a get a slot for. I’m sure they would understand…

I made some brekkers. Savoury, of course. The tiny cheese and pickle pork pies from Iceland are deliciously tangy, and for once I could taste a bit of it. Which makes me think that the taste-buds are regaining their flavour-appreciating days if old. Yeehaa! Oops! Sod-it, I’ve set the tooth-ache off again, now! Serves me right for the naughty thoughts I’d just had. Hehehe! Oh, I’ve just seen a face in the crisps in the photo. A bit like a lions head, or apes maybe.

Out of sheer spite, I did an order with Sainsbury. They are as bad with substitutes when I forget to mark think as no substitute. Like the wrong size PP’s (Protection Pants) being sent, and the Soda Bread being substituted with pikelets! Tsk! But I made sure this time, that I ticked everything almost as no substitute. Not the milk and bread cause that wouldn’t matter so much… mind you, even they are likely to send disinfectant as a substitute for bread.

I’ll find out when the delivery arrives. An email arrived to confirm the order, for next Tuesday 12th January, twixt 06:30 > 07:30hrs.

I opened the YourArea news sheet, the first news was not very good at all, Coronvirus figures!

The next item was:

A teenager was taken to hospital with a reported gash to his head after masked men allegedly attacked him in his home. Police say a 15-year-old boy suffered stab wounds to his eye, leg and head during the incident. His injuries have since been described as not life-altering.

There were photographs of Nottingham, yesterday, the first day of the new lockdown.

More stabbings, arrests for parties, sop much crime. It depressed me a bit. So, I got some bags sorted out to take to the bins and chute.

I dropped the small bags down the chute. Took the recycling bag and box down to the caretaker’s place, and back up to drop the bag off at Jenny’s. Found the INR results had been posted on the way out. That was quick this week, the day after the blood taking!

I took a photo of the overloaded trolley, it had the box, two carrier bags and the bag was full of waste bags, it was a battle not to lose anything just getting it out of the door.

Somehow, this photo, one of my betterer ones, of course, it had to be, didn’t it? Had gotten lost from the SD card into the ether. At times I could cry when this happens, Hehehe! I know it went on, I recall looking at it on the viewer and being so chuffed with myself at the quality of it… Grumph Gnash, and Grangleclomps!

I went straight down in the lift with the all of the bags boxes and trolley-walker. And was going down to Jenny’s floor, when I realised I’d forgotten to drop the small bags into the waste chute!

Then, annoyed with myself, I forgot to press Jenny’s floor number, and went down to the ground floor!

The worker lads were busy working on the final upgrading before their lunch or maybe just starting after having their din-dins. I gave them a cheery ‘Are you all okay, lads?’ But either, they didn’t hear me due to the facemask, or they were keen to get the job done. Hehe!

I took these terrible photos of the lift lobby to my left and right. But of course, these stayed on the SD card, Huh!

As I walked out through to the front door, the box on top of the trolley was slipping off the top of the trolley-walker, all I did was grab it, it wasn’t heavy, and put it back between the handlebars… But, this was enough to set of BPB (Back-Pain-Brenda), and she’s been hurting ever since, and was as I finally got my head down on the recliner in the flat, a couple of hours or so later! All a part of ‘The mysteries of ‘Woodthorpe Court’. The mysteries of Woodthorpe Court, with the hobgoblins, extraterrestrials, spectres. gnomai, phantasms, ghost, succubuses, the grotesque succubae, fata morganas and ectoplasms that have been sent to taunt, irritate and poke mullock at Inchcock! (And very successful they are, too!)

I put the box and behemothic recycling bag near the bins. Offered a cheery, “Good afternoon, I hope things are going alright for you”, to Robert. Then made my way back into the building, nobody about, and up in the lift to Jenny’s floor. Dropped the bag near her door, I don’t think the bell is working, but I pressed it, and knocked on the door, back to the elevator and back up to the 12th floor.

As I started readying the food, I realised that the taste-buds had gone again. I’m confused (which is my usual state, I suppose nowadays, Tsk!), about this tasting problem. I’d had about three days tasting nothing, or things tasted different to usual, then yesterday my appetence for food returned. However, the linguae were not working properly, I did eat a meal.

Now, suddenly things have gone back to an almost non-desire for food, I forced myself to make a small snack. I deliberately had some of my favourite foods. The Walls sausages, Irish potato farls, tomatoes, a pickled egg, Marmite cheese disc, and a Bliss lemon dessert. So disappointing, when I couldn’t eat it all, there was only a small amount as well, but the waste bin bag got most of it, Hehehe! For the first time ever, some of the lemon dessert was left uneaten!

My craving for food has been eliminated, I’m eating far less and throwing more away than ever. What I’m managing to eat, tastes nothing like it used to. And for some reason, the spring water mixed with Jif lime, lemon or orange cordial, is more appealing and I’m guzzling down a fair amount of it?

If this cold whatever it is, doesn’t get better soon, and the taste-buds reactivate soon, I may get depressed, you know. Hunglegrumps!

Got the pots washed, then I got down in the £300, second-hand, c1968, cringingly-beige-coloured, not-working, rickety recliner, and turned on the telly.

After a couple of hours waiting for Sweet Morpheus to arrive, and battling the Thought-Storms, I noticed a Kitchen Nightmare programme was starting in the box. I managed to watch it up until the adverts came on… ZZZ!

Sadly Missed!

Monday 4th January 2021

Icelandic: Mánudaginn 4 Lanúar 2021

01:35hrs: In slow motion this morning, the gradual renewal of consciousness arrived, with the brain working straight away! Not very well, a little confused, but activated! Facts, worries, fears etc. soon started milling about in my poor battered mind. Yes, it was a Thought-Storm!

As the toothache got peskier with me, I realised I’d had six-hours-kip! Albeit fragmented, the total was the longest for many weeks. The lack of taste, coughing, and then the blasted-loud ‘Hum’ came to mind. Luckily, the need for the traditional early-waking-wee-wee arrived to break the thoughts.

Disentangling myself from the grotty, £300, second-hand, c1968, unsteady, not-working, incommodious, sickenly beige-coloured, haemorrhoid-testing recliner, was far easier for some reason… oh yes, the urgent need for the wee-wee possibly? Another half-hearted effort, of the UTD (Unwilling-Trickling-Dribbling) variety, this time with a lot of annoying PMAD (Post-Micturition After-Dribble).

I went to the wet room to clean things up, giving the door frame a fair whack on the way in. I may have muttered something along the lines of “Well, fancy that!”

Not the slightest desire for a mug of tea, that worried me a bit. I got the made in China Chinese made Harpin Xian Di contactless thermometer used. And got a fair result at 36.3°c, a bit down on yesterdays 36.6°c, but it did feel colder all around this morning, Brrr!

The £38.99 Boot’s made in China Sphygmomanometer readings showing that the SYS at 162, was the same as yesterday. If I remember right. Still a smidge high, but it always has been for months now. The annoying thing is that whenever a medical professional takes the BP, the Sys is around 145? Even doing so with the same machine!

A new pain, just under the left nipple on my chest, started up. I don’t think it’s Duodenal Donald or Anne Gyna? The End is Nigh! Well, hopefully, not. Hehehe!

As I was about to start the blog updating, I needed to divert to the Porcelain Throne, which I did. There felt like no rush, though, as it proved when I got down on the Throne. The indications were that the DESB (Daily-Evacuation-Stakes-Battle) between Trotsky Terence and Constipation Konrad, was going to be a different result this time, a victory for Constipation Konrad. And it was! After the torpedo had wedged itself solid, getting the motion started, I needed a lot of effort and input. It took ages before it began moving again. The pain was maybe on a 5/10 on the agony-scale, so not too bad. Not messy at all, solid and the largest dollop that flushing three times failed to clear away!

I added some bleach, toilet cleaner and the last of the sink-unblocker liquid then poked a stick down into the water, left it a few minutes and tried a fourth time at flushing… Nope, it didn’t have it!

I put more bleach in (and got the rear end cleaned, there were just a few blood spots). After each flush, I refilled the tank with the jugs of water from the sink, to hasten the process. I lost count of how man times I refilled and reflushed the tank, and eventually, it looked alright, but I had no confidence and would check it later. Writing this reminded me, and I went to have a look!

Shit! The evacuated product is back up in the bowl again! Another hour lost, unplugging, refilling, flushing, and still, I’m not sure it’s all gone. I’ll leave it, and keep an eye on it, not that I can much more, while I get the ablutions done. Retirement they call it, huh! Never been busier!

I got the blog finished, emailed the link, went on Facebooking, then the WP Reader. I was getting a tad confused at this time.

I turned off the computer to cool down and got the ablutions seen too. The Blood nurse is coming anytime after 08:00hrs. But, yet again, my woolliness, tergiversation of mind activated, and I ended up hand-washing the maroon zip-up jacket, instead. But not before taking this photo of the moon. Tsk! More indecisiveness to the fore! I suppose as a shilly-shallying persons go, I must be the cream? Hehehe!

Blimus O’Reilly, and Dangnationables! I got in the wet room, and the evacuated content was coming back up into the toilet bowl again! I spent even longer than the last time trying to clear things! I got the stick to try to reach and break up the torpedo again, the stick broke. Flushed and refilled the tank several times, to many to count, put bleach down it, toilet cleaner, disinfectant, more bleach, and still it kept coming back up!

Many more flushes and tank refills later, I’d tried the last of the drain unblocker and put mould removal in as well! I’m praying it will keep clear this time, but the water keeps turning a light brown after a minute or so of flushing! I’m fed up with it now! Sulking-Mode engaged!

At last, I got the ablutions started: No showering, it’s too early for that with the noise. The session was off to a bad start, as the toothache was worsened by the Detox toothpaste cleaning. Dropsies three.

Aha, bit if good luck with this. Fair enough there were five or six dropsies, but there were only the two cuts! The medicating went well also, no complaints, and only three dropsies!

As I was getting the new PPs on, I lost balance; but I did not go down this time. Luckily I fell towards the door, which very unfortunately set of SSS with her shoulder-shuddering. Yer, can’t win ’em all!

Then, I noticed the colour of the water in the toilet bowl. Scrapbongles! Brown! So, I flushed and refilled a few times, no success. I had a go at poking with another stick, without any luck. A damned good job I had plenty of bleach in, cause I poured a full bottle in, and left it to hopefully work, while I got dressed.

Back to have a look, reflushed and refilled the tank, and waited. I’m still not sure it worked, but at that moment it was almost clear. I can get depressed, you know!

I took this shot with the Canon camera. Then put the kettle on, it’s about time I tried a mug of Glengettie.

More out of habit than really needing or wanting one. The taste-buds going on strike is a puzzle to me. Back to the computer, and booted it up, and downloaded some photographs. Not that the Microsoft Photo thing was working again. I’ve found that when the One-Drive photo thing refuses to recognise the SD card, if I go on CoralDraw, and import, sometimes the F-Drive comes up, and I load from there, as it was today. If I leave the SD card in the drive, sometimes, anything from 2 minutes to an hour later, the One-Drive crap opens and reads the card? Farcical!

As I was uploading the pictures, the intercom flashed. It was the Vampir Nurse, bless her, Caroline; I think her name is. I pressed the admit button, and the gal was up and in the door within two minutes!

A nice natured gal. She did not mess about getting the blood taken, but she had the nouse to chinwag while doing it.

This was marvellous for me, after seeing nobody, and going chinwagless for several days now. Apart from Josie, of course. Who, I am the proud Sunday Chef for, and someone for her to wake up nearly every week. Haha! Bless her!

Caroline soon had me sorted out, and with a part-armful of blood, she went to leave. But I wasn’t having her go without a treat of a can of plonk of her choice. Being her first port-of-call so as to put it, I could understand her rushing a bit, to try and make a good start to the day.

I took the belated morning medications and back on the computer to update this blog.

Doing the pleasing job of CorelDraw graphics was still needed, so I had a quick look at the comments and then got on with it. Three hours later, the wariness dawned, a bit later than usual – that’ll be because I was enjoying doing the graphics for the blog templates. Unfortunately, I still have some more to do yet. But I made progress with them.

Feeling not so bad now, I feel up to some chilli-con-carne, I’ll do some cobs in the oven to go with the CCC.

I’ll be back in the morning, or later this evening to update things. TTFNski.

Tuesday 01:30hrs: I’m back, updating.

I got the Chilli-Con-Carne can in the saucepan and added some Squid Sauce (Anchovy),  made some gravy and added it with the garden peas. O actually felt I could manage this, at last, I felt hungry again. I’ve not been sop desiderate over a meal in weeks, I just hope to eat it and enjoy it. It looked like it was well-eatable to me.

I put the rolls in the oven, to find one single one in there from yesterday, that had now been cooked twice. Haha! Ah. Well, at least I was still feeling hungry, but not for that cob, of course.

I got the meal served up in the basin and the cobs on the tray. Down in the recliner, put the TV on to watch, got ‘The Bunker’ showing on TV film on, and started to wallow in the food, and enjoy the film. Peace, contentment and satisfaction, great!

The landline light flashed, oh, dearie me, what timing. I fought my way out of the recliner without any Accifaupas and got to answer the phone in time before it rang off.

T’was the Doctors surgery receptionist, with the results of the INR test, and new dosages. The INR level was down to 1.7, and she checked that I had any loaded in-date,  Enoxaparin hypos in stock. I told her I had about eight 80mg needles in hand. (I’m not sure how I knew this but felt sure I was right I was wrong as it happens, Humph!) The patient nice receptionist gave me the new dosages for Warfarin.

Which was massively increased, considering the 1.7 level, I thought. Tonight 3, Tue 2.5, Wed 3, Thurs 2.5, Fri 2.5, Sat 3, Sun 2.5. And she will arrange a blood test for Monday, 12th January. The blood will be that thin, I anticipate Little Inchies fungal lesion, and Harold’s Haemorrhoids to be bleeding well after a couple of days. Maybe I could use the Warfarin intake as my main meal for a few days? Hehehe! I thanked the kind lady.

Putting these details on the calendar, I noted that someone from the DVT, Warfarin Anticoagulation team will be contacting me tomorrow? I can’t remember this being arranged, or happening? I made notes of the details of the call.

Back to the now gone cold, Chilli-con-carne, but I still ate it all up. Although the last session, I didn’t enjoy so much. Lost the plot in the film, turned it off, and put some radio music on instead.

Which I think helped me to nod-off. Cause I got five hours sleep in! Grrreat!

Sethoso: Moqebelo Oa La 2 Pherekhong 2021

022:10hrs: After a grand four-hours kip, I stirred back into a mock, ersatz, imitation life, in need of a wee-wee.

I started to sing ♫Oh, what a beautiful morning♫, bounded up sprightly springing out of the recliner, and hastened skippingly to the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee Bucket). I passed a healthy, powerful, light coloured wee-wee…

Oh, alright then; I struggled out of the £300, rusty second-hand, c1968, cringingly-beige-coloured, not-working, rickety, incommodious, grotty recliner, and somehow manipulated my horrendously flabby, overly-stomached wobbling body up on its feet. Caught my balance, and limped to the bucket, and spent a few minutes waiting for the wee-wee to start, and few more waiting for it to stop.

Washed my hands, and started the Health Checks, then took the medications.

Disconcertingly, the Boot’s made in China Sphygmomanometer, gave a higher reading for the SYS, up again!

The previous two readings, Thursday; 178, Friday; 184, and this morning, it had climbed to 189! Not good, this?

However, the Chinese’s body temperature made Harpin Xian Di contactless thermometer, was back down and in the green. I’m not doing very well here, am I? Tsk”, Spurgledamnations! and Hogglebogwash!

I made a start on the updating of yesterday’s post. Got it finished and posted off to WordPress. During which, I only needed two wee-wees, and the taste of last nights Marmite feast kept coming back up. I liked it! Hehehehe! Went on the WordPress reader. Then the blog comments.

Emailed the link. Did the Facebooking catch-up. A better than average, for me, TFZer graphic (top of this page) was created, it is TFZer Keith, who has just got home from a week or more in the hospital, with the bloody Coronavirus! Hope it cheers him up a tad. Good luck, mate!

A summons to the Throne arrived, and it felt imperative that I got to the Throne in time… Oh, dear! But I managed it.

It was yet another mammoth content affair, it needed a fair bit of input from me to get things moving, and rid the innards of it, too! Which went against the earlier believe that things were going to be under the control of Trotsky Terence. Constipation Konrad was back in charge. The crossword book had a good bashing in between the starting and stopping of the torpedo’s evacuation. Hehe

Washed the hands and as I was doing so, a noise like yesterday morning was heard. Much like heavy machinery starting up, followed a minutes later, the sound of it dying down again. I wonder if anyone else heard it? Ah, well, as I am in lockdown, the chances of seeing anyone, to ask them is minimal.

I nipped to the kitchenette to make another brew of Glengettie, and crack my ankle knuckle on the door frame edge. Naturally, I merely laughed at the pain, smiled and carried on to make the brew… but the innards rumbled, and a second summoning to the Porcelain Throne arrived, off to the wet room I hobbled.

Well, this visit was totally different than the one that was taken only a few minutes ago?

Trotsky Terence easily won the ESB (Evacuation-Stakes-Battle) Constipation Konrad was defeated this time!

How come, the change? Why? What’s going on here? The blood pressure is going ape-shit! The Porcelain Throne visits are different every time! The wee-wees are, too! Shit is going. The skin varies from pale to almost transparent! The balance is so variable, but why? And another thing is why it is always holiday times when people are not available to get help from, that these things happen? Hey-Ho! Rant over!

As I was washing after the evacuation, I spotted a new burst of veins coming through on the right leg. And, a new spot developing and growing quickly, well several of them. Ah, well, back to the computerisationing.

The sounding much-like heavy machinery starting up, followed minutes later with the sound of it dying down again, just repeated itself once more. I’ve started shivering for some reason, feeling so cold. I checked the heater, its warm, but only just? Looked at the thermometer-humidity thingy, then checked it against the wall thermometer. One indicates it is 38°c, the other 23°c? Was it something to do with the heating, the noise I mean?

The temperature on the wall thermometer puzzled me a bit. So I picked it up to investigate further, in my Sherlock Holmesian, style. Guess what? It shattered to pieces in my hand! The mysteries of Qoodthorpe Court, returning? Humph!

I got breakfast made up. I really did feel hungry and made a decent plateful. Once I settled to eat it, I could manage even a quarter of it. Everything tasted different than I expected? Horrible! Even the mini pork and pickle pie and MArmite cheese were tasteless. The majority of it ended up in the bin. What a shame!

Back to CorelDraw to do some graphicalisationing for later on. A couple of hours later, the weariness dawned, I continued to update the blog for another hour or so, and oddly the hunger returned? What’s going on here? Beats me! I went to get the main meal sorted out. I got the meatballs in the oven cooking, and the CCC (Chilli-Con-Carne) in the saucepan (canned today). I must order some more minced beef.

As I took a wide shot of the view out the window, I noticed what looked like another fire. I took a zoomed-in shot of what looked like the Basford area,.

Then got the meal served-up and in the dish. It looked good, I’d got the milk roll bread to soak up the liquids, and started the feasting… Oh, sod-it! The taste goblets were still flat. I’m sure I cooked the meatballs right, this should have been a right treat to gustatory cells. But again, half of it was thrown away. Tsk!

I put the things in the kitchen, turned off the computer, and sat down, to have a ponder over things. I think I fell asleep straight away…

I woke at 23:00hrs, feeling uncomfortable in mind and body.

Friday 1st January 2021

Welsh: Dydd Gwener 1af Ionawr 2021

23:45hrs: I woke wanting a wee-wee. Fought my way out of the recliner, caught my balance and to the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee Bucket). For what turned out to be a worryingly wearying, and debouching, in a trickling long-winded style. At least there was no PMPD (Post-Micturition Pre-Dribble) or PMAD (Post-Micturition After-Dribble).

I had a rare headache, but only behind the left eye?

Remembering it was the first of January, I got the camera, but the Nikon would not display the view in the screen? So I fetched the little Canon one. Got the kettle on and awaited the fireworks to celebrate the new year to start.

The eager beavers started firing them a minute early, not that it matters. The second shot  I took, came out as one those artistic ‘Let’s pretend we did it in purpose’ ones, Hehe! I might be able to use that one for a background graphic later? I’ve still got the Vespa Bazooka ones to use, no rest for the wicked.

I was a smidge disappointed at the resulting pictures. But I was, even more, let down, when the entertainment finished so soon. Last year, I think I was at the window for over half an hour, this time, ten-minutes if that long.

I got the medications taken, and Health Checks completed. And with two unwanted surprises. The sphygmomanometer’s SYS reading was at 184. What? I hope I last until Monday when the nurse arrives to take the blood for the Warfarin test.

Then the Chinese made Harpin Xian Di contactless thermometer reading came out as 37.5°c. I thought it was a good one, but the background turned to red, as a warning that it was too high? A bit worrying this is. I checked on the NHS site for Coronavirus symptoms and got this snipped from the site.

Another NHS Coronavirus page said if your temperature if above 38.7°c. Some confusion to start with; the page above says you do not need to measure your temperature? I’ve no new coughing. I think I should be alright though, although I’ve anosmia, it’s been this way for weeks now. Hey-Ho!

Onto the computer, and got the pictures uploaded. Another trickling wee-wee, a mug of tea, and started to update the Thursday blog. I pressed on regardless (I’m getting better at editing and correcting mistakes now, I just wish I wouldn’t make them in the first place, Haha!) Three more wee-wees, and another two hours and I got the blog finished.

WordPress Reader visited. Emailed the link. Pinterest some snaps. Went on Facebook updating, then on WP Commenting. Another unwilling trickle of a wee-wee, then I made a start on this blog.

Got a message on my Nokia 9 Pureview Mobile, with its Android (Pie) updatability, Corning Gorilla Glass 5, Octa-Core Gold CPU, 4K@30fps, 1080p@30fps, HDR video, USB Type-C 3.1, %x12 MP. 28mm Camera, Bluetooth, A-GPS, Fingerprint (under display, optical), accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer, Li-Po 3320 mAh, non-removable, fast charging 18W, Quick Charge 3.0, USB Power Delivery. Fast wireless charging 10W – Qi Battery… Well, similar anyway. Hahaha! A nurse will be calling next Monday to take my blood. Bless ’em!

Got some late brekkers/snack sorted out. Too tired to bother with much, so bunged a brown part-baked baguette in the oven for ten minutes, and I lathered it in Marmite! Added a bag of Marmite flavoured crisps. Enjoyed it, too! Flavour 7.6/10. The sound like machinery booting up then dying as heard more than once while eating.

Jenny phoned, wish Happy New Year, bless her!

I became so weary again, and early on, too. But had no option other than to get my head down. Sleep took many hours being attained. The Thought-Storms seemed determined, slow, and illogical.

I woke a few minutes after nodding off, realising as I did that I had not taken the evening medications, but was too reluctant to get out of the c1968 recliner, for fear of not getting back to sleep… Zzzz!

Enchanting Inchies, Thursday 31st December 2020 Diary (Ahem!)

Thursday 31st December 2020

Welsh: Dydd Iau 31ain Rhagfyr 2020

23:45hrs: I bounded out of the four-poster, touched my toes, a couple of dozen push-up, then ten one-handed, jumped up and bar-belled for five minutes, and drank two pints of carrot juice and a bowl of figs, with extra vitamin D. I oiled over all of my masculine lithe muscled body, splashed some Bute on, and…

Oh, all right then... 23:45hrs: I woke up coughing and sneezing, the eyes were running, and I was involuntarily passing wind. The sound from the flipping ‘Hum’ was tremendously loud. Little Inchies fungal lesion was bleeding, and the lens fell out of my spectacles as I put them on. And I needed a wee-wee.

Undaunted, I freed my body-mass from te c1968 recliner, and off to the wet room I trotted. The wee-wee was another of the long FBL (Forceful-Blasting-Lengthy) style, but pain-free. I cleaned up and doctored Little Inchy with the Clobetasone Butyrate cream, that was painful. Changing the PP’s, and I needed the Porcelain Throne. The timing of which, proved a life-saver. The evacuation flowed the second I got on the Throne, it as under the control of the innards, it was massive, pongy, and a great relief! Had I not been stood within the two feet I was of the toilet once the movement began, I’d have been in a right mess, embarrassment-wise! Bit of good fortune there, unnatural and worrying!

I got the hurtful stinging job of cleaning up and medicating Little Inchies fungal lesion. One of the genuinely more difficult and almost harrowing jobs of all the ailment treating. This and using the Sock-Glide, are tasks I do not look forward to at all!

I cleaned up, and got on the computer, to upload the photographs from yesterday. Oh, crikey! The computer was telling me that the SD card needed formatting. I went into these details in yesterday’s blog and did not want to upset me about it again. I’ll skip it if you don’t mind. Thanks.

Having got the thing working again (and losing a few hundred photographs!), I went to make a brew. I took this early morning shot from the kitchenette window. I think it looks better in a large size, you can make out the street, house and Christmas lights better.

Then, went to get the Health Checks done. I recall thinking to myself, I hope the SYS will have come back down. But No! It had gone up to 183 from yesterdays 180!

Should I still be alive? Hahaha!

Updated blog. Posted, Email link. WordPress Reading. Massive, none-stop, trickling, spraying, but pain-free wee-wee. Back to computing, got distracted into making the header for this edition of Inchcock Today.

Ablutions tackled, got the crossword book out, seated, no time for crosswording, though. The actions started and flowed freely, but still rather painfully, messy and bleeding again, the same as it was yesterday morning.

The legs and feet still looked a smidge pale. But again, no complaints from me! The Clop[idogrel marks were not even seeable! Fair enough the middle right foot toe was still tender from the last toe-stubbing. But the veins were not protruding, the ankle ulcer had calmed down and could hardly be seen! Great!.

I got the urge to wash the woolly bobble-cap. I used the sock-glide to hang the hat onto to let it drip dry. I have to say I got a certain pleasure from two things, here… One was mocking the sock-glide, telling it: ” You horrible nasty blood-hungry bruising git (not the exact word I used) you, I hope you get rust-rot and disintegrate!” The other, the p[leaasure of denying the contraption of any chance of further injuring me, by deciding not to wear any socks today!

Yes, I had a momentary loss of sanity there, Sorry about that!

Went to make a brew, took a snap of the descending fog from the thick-framed light and view-blocking kitchen windows. I made a mug of Glengettie tea, got a handful of biscuits to go with the cuppa. I took the tea through to the computer; first, I try not to use the right hand for carrying hot drinks, in case Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters die-off, and I drop the drink. I put the tea down and returned to get the camera from the kitchenette.

En route back, a gave my right shoulder one decently hefty clout against the door frame (Luckily, I’d got the camera wrist strap around my wrist!) Phew! Amazingly, astronomically, unbelievably, this did not set SSS (Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley) off? I’m not complaining!

The Iceland Foods delivery man cameth. I let him in and made my way to the front door. Which seemed like a good idea, Hehe!

He gently threw the bags in through the door for me, I gave him a choice of cans for his new year pressie, he chose a can of pink gin & tonic. Said something to me IK couldn’t understand and went off back to his task of delivering to fools who order food for 06:00hrs in a morning. Hehehe!

I got the bags into the kitchen and started unloading them. I put the bottles od wine for Sister Jane and Pete behind the £300, second-hand, c1968, cringingly-beige-coloured, not-working, rickety, incommodious, grotty recliner. I don’t know when or how I will get them to J and P?

Iceland had not delivered any bread thins, but new bother! For they’d sent a milk roll loaf and some part-baked cobs and baguettes that will do me nicely.

Started this blog off. Getting sidetracked for several hours while doing the blog. Wee-wees, which were and stayed, of the UTD (Unwilling-Trickling-Dribbling) variety henceforth today), and my losing track of what I was doing, by getting ideas for the ‘Thought’ graphics and popping on CorelDraw to make it while I thought of it. Conrad Confusion was in a pestering mood. Oh, and nipping onto Gmail as they came in

I got another one from HMG about Nottingham going into Tier Four Coronavirus status. I foolishly had a look at the long message and visited all the links within it.

It was as clear as mud to me, but I don’t think it will make any difference to how things are now for me, as with kind Jenny and others here, who are being sensible about the dangers anyway.

After a good few hours making mistakes, error, and suffering mind-blanks on this blog, and CorelDrawing to for that matter, the weariness dawned on me early again.

I got off the computer and went to investigate what to have for my nosh. I’m sure I had a plan in mind for the meal earlier, but it had gone off into the ether.

The fog might be lifting.

Then I realised I had not done the Facebooking catch-up.

So, I did. I spent hours on it, and enjoyed doing it, too! Then did another graphic for the future WordPress blogs.

Drained now mentally, I got the nosh prepared. I made a right mess in the kitchen doing so, too! It resembled a mini-bomb site by the time I’d got the chilli done. Spills, droppages etc.! By the time I cleaned up, the food was not so hot.

There were some ‘Tales of the Unexpected’ on the Sky Art channel. I got the pots washed and settled for the start of the four half-hour episodes.

Fell asleep when the first set of adverts came on. Woke up as the fourth episode was just finishing! Wide awake! Ah, well, at least I got two hours kip in then, and when I eventually got back to sleep, another hour. I’ve had worse.

May the fruits of your compassion and labours, sweeten your life! ♥

Wednesday 30th December 2020

Irish: Dé Céadaoin 30 Nollaig 2020

00:00hrs: As I woke, half-hanging out of the recliner, with the bottled water, headphones, woolly-hat, spectacles, pen and pad and other bits on the floor around the chair, there were little bits of the dream I must have been having, milling about in my head…

I was determined to write down the thoughts, and I attempted to get free of the recliner, up on my feet and get down to pick up the pen and pad, to record the memories. Things did not work out as planned, though!

In my haste, I got up too quickly, and without catching my balance. Crumpled to the floor on my knees. Unfortunately, setting-off RAI (Rheumatoid Arthur Itis) and CC (Cartilage Cathy) hurting. The thoughts of getting the pad were lost, replaced with the task of getting myself back up on my feet. Tsk!

By the time I’d managed to get back up, with the assistance of the heavy recliner as a lifting aid, and had used the picker-upperer to get the articles dropped in the night, any residue of memories of the dream were long gone into the ether! Fungleboggles! I was well miffed with myself now! Mind you, I did find the missing TV remote control while I was down there!

The need for a wee-wee arrived, so over to the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee Bucket) for an SSAO (Sprinkly-Spraying-All-Over) mode wee. With SSS (Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley) kicking into gear as I did so, it was a miracle that I managed without and spillages!

So, I’ve been up for around five-minutes – A tumble onto my knees, CC, and RAI giving me grief, then SSS joins in, a pathetic wee-wee, and now I’ve just stubbed my toe taking the bucket to be sanitised!

And now, I think I’ve set Little Inchies fungal lesion bleeding. This is not the sort of start to the day that bodes well, is it?

Still, it didn’t bother me in the slightest. A man of my calibre, youthful exuberance, and happy-go-lucky outlook. “Huh!”

I took photos of the moon, which came out decentish, for me.

Made a brew of Glengettie, and got the computer going, and had a wee. The wee-wee was of a different mode this time – a little stronger than the first weak one, but it went on, and on and on!

During the first hour or so on the computer. The eyes started running, I started sneezing, then coughing, back to sneezing, then had a visit from Dizzy-Dennis. Saccades-Sandra is also playing up this morning. After the 60-minutes or so, the sneezing and coughing stopped completely?

I got the photos on CorelDraw from yesterday, and then in WordPress, and got the Wednesday blog all done. Sent it off to WordPress. Emailed the link. Pinterested a couple of graphics. Then did the Facebook updating. On to the WP Reader next. Again, not much on with it being the holidays, but there’s some great stuff posted.

Made myself a mug of 99 tea, and read assessed the emails. I was glad that I read the one from Iceland, for they are arriving tomorrow, not today now. Same slot, 06:00 > 08:00hrs.

I’ve no problem with that. I can rearrange my meets with President Biden and Her Majesty for a later time. Hehehe!

Then I had a look at the Nottingham, and Nottinghamshire email magazines, to see if anything interesting was on it today.

The latest figures for Nottingham was not up to date, because of the holiday period, obviously.

The national Patients Admitted graph looked like a bit of a spike is developing, after a dip?

I received this mornings edition of Nottinghamshire Today, and I  found this article about the local and National Coronavirus figures.

Then, like lightning, (Well, that’s me all over, Haha!) I realised that I had not done yet done the morning Health Checks! Sad innit? The SYS was a bit of a shock, at 180, I’m sure I’ll implode or explode any time now!

I still can’t believe that when the hospital, paramedics or Doctor takes readings, it’s always, but always in range! Grumph!

Of course, it could be Woodthorpe Court’s mysteries; the phantoms, kelpies, spectres, poltergeist, spirits, manifestations, zombies, daemons, cacodemons, rakshasas, hellions, aliens, extraterrestrials, hobgoblins, apparitions, elfins, pishogues, apparitions, or gremlins?

Still, the body temperature came out alright.

On with the dating of this bog, then decided some brekkers would be a good idea. A Jenny supplied pickled egg, halloumi sticks and a Cornish pastie. A fair feast I found veritably tasty!

Summonings to the Porcelain Throne arrived. Apart from losing a fair bit of blood, things went well enough. I got the ablutions done at the same time. Which went well, a few dropsies, no more than ten, mind. Two decent sessions! The legs were looking good too.

However, drying off I did find a new, what looked like a Clopidogrel allergy mark. Its was only cause it was itching and hurting when scratched that I investigated further.

Can you guess from the photograph where I found it: Clues: Not a place that is easy to look at physically – Had to take the picture blind, cause I couldn’t see it visually – Near a joint, affected by an ailment! Not easy is it?

When I came out of the wet from into the kitchenette, there had been a slight covering of snow while I was ablutioning. Took this picture from the unliked, light and view-blocking window.

Then back on the computer to try and get some graphics done. The internet was so slow and causing problems. I phoned Jenny, to wish a happy new year and see how she, Nora and Frank, were doing. They seemed okay, Jenny was pragmatic, is the word methinks, about the current situation.

I got some waste bags done up, took them to the chute, and the big bag down to the caretaker’s bin.

On the way back up in the lift, it shuddered a little for a few seconds. Of course, this didn’t bother a heroic, brave, devil-may-care, outgoing young man like me at all.

No worries, shocks, involuntary escapages of wind from the rear-end, fears, or cheek-pinching. Nor, saying to myself “Hello, this is it!” Hahaha!

I tried getting the three-wheeler-guide in through the flat door, going backwards this time: It was so much easier to get the trolley in and over the high door tread with the double wheels ahead. That’s it, I’m coming in backwards in future! See? I can sometimes get things right with my plans and schemes – I did it once in October 1959 as I recall!

The weariness dawned earlier than ever today, and Duodenal Donald kicked-off for the first time in ages. I made a snack of some soup and the last of the bread…

But in the morning, I  had problems with the SD card, it had split! So I lost all the other photographs on it as well! There were about 2,100 on it. Gragnangles and Grogglebonksworth!

And it got worse, when I tried to put the Canon card in, the computer said it needed formatting and would lose everything on it if it was done? I know there were over 2000 photos on that one as well – I opted to format, and the computer said it was ‘Unable to format this disc!’ I was shattered! I put the disc in the Canon camera, and that gave a formatting option automatically – so I pressed ‘Yes’, and the camera said something, but the screen cleared before I could read it properly. I took out the disc, put it back in, restarted the camera, and the option came up again, and I pressed ‘OK’… it did it, but of course, I lost all of the photographs.

I took a picture or two to try it, and it worked. Then put the disc in the reader, prayed… and the picture thingy came up, and I uploaded the photos post haste. Not happy with this cock-up, and will try not to mention it again, I’ll skip round it in tomorrows blog, the memory is too painful. If you don’t mind. It hurt to write this, and I don’t want to repeat it and bring back memories. Sob!

I got the pots washed, rinsed and down in the recliner, to the depths of depression and self-pity. Spit!

Hawaiian: Pōʻalua 29th Kekemapa 2020

23:50hrs: I woke, wanting a wee-wee, that felt rather urgent. No time for a preamble, I manipulated my colossal-wobbly stomached torso from the £300 second-hand, c1968 recliner. I hobbled over to the with the greatest of speed available to me, to take a wee-wee.

This evacuation was of the WUNT (Weak-Unwilling-Negligible-Trickling) style, and painful with it! It took ages to free, and maybe it added up to enough to fill a couple of egg cups. Not only that, but I felt drained of energy afterwards? Something amiss here? The thought of the treatment and put-downs I had suffered on my last visit to the Oncologist, was enough, to encourage me not to call them, but to wait to see how things develop, first. (How dare she tell me to stop drinking Glengettie tea and go onto the crap-tasting decaffeinated type!) Hehehe!

I washed the dandies and got the kettle on. Made up some waste bags and got them in the box on the three-wheeler-walking guide. The box seems to have got filled-up a lot quicker than it normally does? I may have made the bags up a little too large to fit in the chute? Humph!

Another wee-wee needed, I’ll try not to waste time mentioning this again, they lasted all day on and off, every one of them in the same WUNT (Weak-Unwilling-Negligible-Trickling) mode.

I tended to the Health Checks next. Starting with the Boot’s made in China Sphygmomanometer. At least the SYS was a tad lower than yesterday, the pulse was up a fair bit, mind at 91, compared to yesterdays 87 reading.

The Chinese made Harpin Xian Di contactless thermometer was down a smidge, but within range, I think, at 36.5°c, it was in the green anyway. I like this machine, it is quick and easy to use. Of course, now I’ve said that; somethings bound to go wrong!

I used up the last of the Chloramphenicol antibiotic eye drops. The reason being that the Doctor didn’t show me how to put them in at the hospital. Thus, most of the liquid ended up running down my cheeks, through the moustache and into my mouth! The Carmellose drops had some left in it to use, I still got the biggest part of it down the cheeks. Tsk!

The foul-tasting Docusate was not taken this morning, as the problem with Constipation Konrad had now been replaced with Trotsky Terence. However, I thought I’d still take a Dioctyl® 100mg Poo-Softener capsule, just the one.

I got the medications sorted and taken. Then onto the computer to update the Monday blog to get sent off. First, the photographs from last night needed uploading, but the damned Microsoft Pictures Ap was not having it again! I wrangled a way of getting them in from the plug-in in the end. Heck of a mess about!

Then, the summoning to the Porcelain Throne arrived. No messing about, I stopped everything and made my way to the wet-room. By Jiminy Cricket! This visit was as near to perfect as one has been for months (Note I only said ‘near’ to perfect!) No pain at all! And a quick evacuation to boot! Sadly, it was messier than ever, the Docusate had worked! I regret taking the Dioctyl® now. Still, yer can’t win ’em all! Cleaned up, washed and back to the computer.

I concentrated fairly well this time, and Nicodemus and SSS were both in a good mood for me. So it didn’t take too long before the blog was finished. I got it sent off to WordPress and Pinterested some snaps. Emailed the link. Then went on Facebooking catch-up. This took over two hours, but it was interesting and a few comments to peruse. (Several WUNT’s taken doing the Facebooking)

I went to make a mug of Glengettie, and I took these photographs through the light & view-blocking kitchen window. The first a wide shot that didn’t come out as it showed in the Nikon viewer’s window. However, I thought I saw a fire on the horizon!

I zoomed in to get a clearer picture (Okay, I failed). But it did look like a fire was burning, and a decent-sized one too!

I had a look on the web for any news of any fires but didn’t find anything.

As I was closing the light & view-blocking kitchen window, the moon came through the clouds. So I popped out again and got this photograph taken. I tried to get a closer one, but the Nikon wasn’t having that, and the close-ups came out terrible! Humph!

I opened the YourNottingham news magazine and had a look to see if any news of a fire was on it. I found this disappointing Covid figures for Nottingham.

I also spotted this photo above and recognised the street straight away, Sherbrooke Road, where I lived before coming to these flats. I’m even gladder I moved now!

I was well pleased when I came across the Crime Figures for my new postcode. Down 19%, they say.

Ah, well, better get the ablutions done. I don’t want to miss the travelling shop when it comes. Now then, erm… bread, err… oh, I’ll sort it out later.

What an Awesomesauce Ablution Session!

Please Note: The above statement does not include the medicalisationing!

  • Teeth-cleaning: Not such good a start, the cracked tooth has lost another bit, and is beginning to hurt a little.
  • Shaving: Smug-Mode-Adopted! Not a single cut! A few dropsies, but only three!
  • Showering: Dropsies just two! No dizzies! No hitting the grab bars! Great!
  • Drying off: Nothing knocked over or off of the floor cabinet! No toe-stubbing! Just the one dropsy. Smug-Mode-upgraded to Class C!
  • Medicationalisationing: Ah, the real black spot I’m afraid, didn’t go well at all! I dropped the Haemorrhoid cream tube, bent down to retrieve it, and SSS kicked off. Dropped the furuncle ointment, picked it up and dropped the cap from it. I’ve not seen it since! On the brighter, silver-lining search side, at least the tube was nearly empty anyway! Bending and lifting the leg up simultaneously, to put some Germolene on the stubbed toe from yesterday, I slipped getting myself back up. I scraped my chin against the sharp corner of the cabinet, and I ended up on my bum, via the floor cabinet, of which I knocked several deodorants off of. This started Harold’s haemorrhoids bleeding, and it took me a while to stop them. (At least I hadn’t already medicated them! Hehehe!) Which started of Cartilage Cathy as well! I utilised the WS bowl to get back upright again, this was not easy.
  • Getting dressed: No loss of balance getting the PPs on. No walking into anything on exiting!

I’m sure of the order that things occurred, but they shook me up a bit!

So there it is, had it not been for the medicating, I reckon this would have been my best, least painful, and fewest dropsies ablutioning session for years! A shame that!

I got dressed and off into the kitchen to sort out the last waste bag.

Well, the snow had been falling a bit while I busy in the wet room! I got the Nokia, took its photo, put the camera in the three-wheeler-guide bag, and later took a photo in the chute room.

Did you note my deliberate mistake there? Putting Nokia instead of Nikon? Ahem!

I got the waste bag on the box, set out of the door to go to the chute room.

I somehow managed to knock the box off the trolley, as I bent down to get the bags back into the box, I felt the warm, wet sensation in the front of the PPs! I knew straight away what had happened, mind. The medium size substituted for large-sized PPs from Sainsbury’s had squashed Little Inchie and started the lesion to bleed. Swine!

I came back inside the flat to check things in the nether regions. Dang-It! Little Inchies fungal lesion was bleeding a bit. I went to the wet room and cleaned things up and applied some Clobetasone Butyrate cream. Off out again, and took this photograph through the lobby window before entering the chute room.

I took this shot om me putting the last little bag down the rubbish chute. Not a lot of room, is there?

But, fair does, if they had left the big opening on, some folks tend to put loose large waste into the funnel, and so many blockages last year, proved very costly to unblock.

Back to the apartment and got the kettle on, taking two more photos of the snow falling, but was turning to train as I snapped the pictures.

The snow was almost in the rain after a minute or so, but anything can change. I think I heard of a yellow warning for snow, I’ll look at Mr Google. Aha, they, well, the BBC, gave out Sleet Showers and a gentle breeze. Spot on for now!

I’m feeling a bit odd at the moment. Likely the bum-meeting-the-floor incident. Hahaha! Back to the food van’s shopping requirements, that should be arriving in about an hour, if the snow hasn’t blocked him in somewhere.

I got carried away with the CorelDrawing and missed him, well and truly. It was hours after his call time hen I realised, and beginning to get dark. Hahaha!

I went to the Iceland Foods site, and found that they could deliver in the morning! So I made an order up and posted it. I ordered some milk loaf bread, several packs of part-baked rolls and baguettes,  more wine for Jane & Pete, etc. Being delivery twixt 06:00 > 08:00hrs.

Got the nosh made earlier than usual, as the fatigue had come on so early today. While the nosh cooked, I rang dear Jenny, just to see how she was going, not heard from her for a while. I can report that Jen, Nora and Frank are all coping well, which cheered me up… I needed a little lift.

I Got the meal served up, got down in the recliner, put the TV on, and tucked into the chilli with a relish despite feeling so tired.

Boy, did I polish off that meal! Slurp!

I got the TV on and found that some old ‘Tales of the Unexpected’ were just starting that I wanted to view. Good old memory prompting the first one was too! I stayed awake for the entire fist half-hour one, but sadly, missed the rest of them. Waking up two hours later, just as the last episode was finishing. Makes yer sick, dunnit, when that happens!

I expected, my feeling so weary, that I’d nod back off to kip with no problem… But No! I lay there with rubbish spouting from the TV. I’d have turned it off if I could have found the remote control, I hope to find wherever it’s fallen, or I’ve dropped it, in the morning.

Anne Gyna kicked-off and kept me company, until I gave up trying to sleep, and rose up, defeated, for a wee-wee.

Zulu: UMsombuluko 28th December 2020

Such fascinating memories! Ahem!

Head-down 21:30hrs. At 23:10hrs: I shot awake, and the brain soon joined me. Whatever the sudden expergefactor was for this, I do not know! But I did know I could not ignore that something had woken me, and I had to get up and have a look around for any signs of danger, calamity, or risk, that might be lurking. I needed a wee-wee anyway.

The freeing of the onerously large and flobby-stomached torso with the dangly legs from the recliner was achieved with relative ease, this morning. Once up onto my feet and doing the balance exercises, I knew care would be needed in my hobbling around in my search for the cause of me rude-awakening. The balance was all over the place, SSS (Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley), CC Cartilage Cathy and RAI’s (Rheumatoid Arthur Itis’s) knees were all in a cruel, foul mood with me. (Fair enough, yesterday they were all kind to me)

I made an inspection of sorts of the flat, room by room. The Hallway apart from being untidy had no indications of anything out of order.

Apart from being even more untidy and messier than Steptoe & Sons, the junk room bore no signs of wrongdoings.

The wet room, again untidy, but it looked okay safety-wise.

The kitchenette, the three rooms’ messiest, made me feel guilty, but no dangers were found.

Off back to the front room, to utilise the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee Bucket). I think it’s going to be another struggle-to-pee day. The flow was reluctant and needed internal encouragement, which was a risky thing to do; When I applied some power to push the fluid out, the rear-end department very nearly started to evacuate of its own accord! Crivvens, it was a close thing! No question about it, Trotsky Terence is going to be in charge of the evacuations this morning!

As I was getting the kettle on, (and this must have looked the most comical speed-hobble I’d ever done) the movement from the rear-end began to flow of its own accord on the limp to the wet room, I hit my shoulder on the door frame, knocked the clothes off of the coat hangers in the hall onto the floor, and stubbed the same toe as I did yesterday against the heater!

I distinctly recall thinking, ‘Well fancy that!’, as I scrambled onto the much-needed Porcelain Throne! Cough, cough!

The action began before the bum had hit the plastic lid! A mammoth, tremendously long torpedo made its way to freedom. But smoothly! No pain, but much bleeding from Harolds Haemorrhoids, I’m afraid.

Where all evacuated product came from, I’ve not the foggiest? Well, I know that. What I meant was, with me not eating a lot of fodder yesterday, how did such a massive quantity of waste come from. I think? A total victory for Trotsky Terence once again. All over fairly quickly, I began to clean things up, medicate the backside with Germoloid ointment, and wiped around to make sure that none of the sprinkling wee-wee that exited at the same time, had missed the bowl. Thinking all the time, about the mess I have to clean up in the hallway and kitchen yet!

Washed, and cleared, cleaned-up the mess I’d made in the hallway and kitchen in my desperate dash to the throne. Got it done, eventually, and brooded over my bad luck, wondering if it will ever improve before the Grim Reaper arrives. Tsk! Did myself no good though, BPB Back-Pain-Brenda) is giving me some stick now, due to all the bending when clearing up. Humph!

Made a brew of 99 tea for a change, and noticed the two lights were showing again, in fact, they came on as first looked out of the window? An odd thing that, lights coming on at two in the morning? I took a couple of snaps of the view from the kitchen window.

The first one I used the Nightime Panorama, the second was done in Auto mode.

I later found this shot on the right. I think it was an involuntary one, Ahem!

The stomach was beginning to rumble and churn again, I didn’t think it would be long until the Throne was needed again. (Where’s it coming from?)

Then, I went into one of my brain-dead, lacking logicality, total loss of concentration, lost-the-plot-yet again, what-the hell-am-I doing, modes!

I knew what I was doing alright, and yet I didn’t think it was right for some reason. But on I plodded, started on doing the hand-washing and sorting the togs out.

All in a robotic fashion?.

I moved the zip-up jacket, hanging above the sink to drain on a coat-hangar, it was nearly dry enough to use now.

I hung that in the hallway over the clothes airer.

Then got the quilt from the recliner, and hand-washed it with great care and attention? Checking it closely for any loose bits of cloth or spots I’d missed in the washing process.

Even the fabric softener and disinfectant were used in rinsing, and I rinsed the thing several times before adding the liquids in one final rinse. I got that hung above the kitchen sink to drip dry.

Why had I done this? No idea, but I somehow knew it had to be done? I had a spell similar to this a few months ago. I mentioned it to the Falls-Team man if I remember correctly, it just made him laugh! The instant I’d got the quilt hung, a semi-normality returned, and much confusion with it! Why?

So, much later than ever before, I made another brew of Glengettie and started updating the Sunday blog. My doing the sudden handwashing kept coming into my mind to toy with. Why? The wee-wees kept interrupting my progress, and each one was just a tiny sprinkling. The damned ‘Hum’ was again so loud.

At long last, I got the blog finished. I got it posted off, along with the email link. Pinterested a few snaps. (Using the notes from the pad to update this, I came across F13, written clear enough for me be certain that is what I had scribbled – what the heck it means, I’ve not the least knowledge of?) Reading through the other writing on the pad, I realised I had not done the Health checks!

I got the ear drops done first. Another farce, I got more down the face than in the eye. Huh! I was beginning to think I was losing it today!

The flaming SYS was at 165, to high again. There will be no nurses calling to take my blood that I can talk to with the holidays. Shame!

The temperature was fine, though. Not all bad and bonkers then, Haha!

Back to the computing, and went on Facebooking. That took far less time than usual, folks will be busy with their families, sorting out and getting plans made for the New Year?

Aha, the second summoning to the Porcelain Throne arrived. There was nae bother this time. I got there in plenty of time, a repeat of the first visit, but less of it. Hehe!

The well-stubbed toe was not as bad; I thought it might be. The pale skin looked a bit blotchy, but that’s normal, I suppose. I think I should be more concerned about the brain, rather than body, after this morning’s mental farcicalities!

I made a start on this template for an hour or two, but the concentration was ailing. Then went to make another brew of Glengettie. The fog had come down now.

I took a few pictures.

After which, I had visits from Shaking Shaun, which did me no good, especially as Shaun stayed with me for over an hour! By the time he’d left, SSS had returned for another hour or so, donating a very stiff aching shoulder for me to put up with, making typing with any degree of accuracy a difficult job. I’m literally praying that the other ailments, like Nicolas and Anne Gyna, don’t kick-off. Now the mental and physical challenges were a hassling me. Argh!

I took a break from the concentration-demanding blogging, and I poddled to the kitchen to check on the thin quilt.

I moved the nearly dried quilt, over the server on wheels trolley, and moved it close to the storage heater, to let it get dried enough.

Then had a look into what I might have for the meal today. The tin of Krakus Lopatka (cooked pork shoulder), I’d bought in error, thinking it was pork knuckle attracted my attention. That, with some potatoes or chips, peas or beans sounded a good idea.

Then I spotted a can of sausage and bean stew, that appealed even more to me. Because I vaguely recall trying it before and enjoying it. Of course, relying on what I remember is not a guarantee of anything! But, I took the decision to try it today. I took a decision a few weeks ago, you know, oh, yes!

Of to the kitchen and got the can opened without any fuss A ring-pull!

Put it in the saucepan to find there is only one insipid looking sausage in it! The beans are tasty, though. It’s called a stew? So I got the oven on, to do some frozen pork sausages to add to the pan. Cunning eh?

The fog was still there outside. How I feel, and things are going today, there is probably more fog in my head than there is out there. Hogglebogwash!

The head was getting more confused now, so I gave up on the blogging and prepared the meal. I did some sausages in the oven, and added them to the saucepan, along with some Squid vinegar, and a tin of chilli beans. It came out alright, a Taste Rating of 7/10.

Sleep took a while, but it did arrive earlier than usual. Didn’t stay too long, but I had a  straight-through uninterrupted kip of 4-hours, which was welcome, and is about average for this last week.

Take care, folks.

Incised Inchies, Sunday 27th December 2020 diary

TFZer Nancy, it was a couple of years ago, mind.

Sunday 27th December 2020

Greek: Κυριακή 27 Δεκεμβρίου 2020

01:10hrs: I woke after a rather sad, just under three hours of sleep. Robotically, I climbed falteringly out of the egregious, £300, second-hand, c1968, unsteady, not-working, incommodious, oh, so sickenly beige-coloured, haemorrhoid-testing recliner, and caught my balance easily enough. No calls for a wee-wee!

I turned the computer on. Argh! The greatly dreaded, much-feared, trying, and gut-wrenching ‘Blue Screen’ came up mid-way through its loading!

The heart sank, instant depression dawned, my shoulders sagged, and it seemed as if life had stopped for me! A blackness, blankness and confidence-destroying mood ensued!

As it restarted. It seemed to take a long time, during which I waited patiently… no, that a lie! – I panicked, fretted and prayed for a successful outcome!

‘Phew!’ It started up okay then! I gingerly opened up the Firefox internet, then the CorelDraw, and things seemed to be working in a normal fashion. I cheered up exponentially but did not go into any Smug-Mode, not until I was sure things would work right again. Boy, was I relieved and glad!

Within a few seconds of my renewed faith being restored, the summoning to the Porcelain Throne arrived, somewhat urgently. Off to the wet room I trotted, well, limped.

This Throne session had to be the easiest of the year! (I’ll stop taking the Docusate, now!) I was almost in complete control of the movement (First time in many a month, that!) Minimal pain! No Bleeding! Most satisfying!

However, this for the first time in ages, an easy victory for Trotsky Terence over Constipation Konrad, was the messiest evacuation in months as well! I may even have to order some more toilet rolls if this carries on. Hehe!

I then had to tend to the Health Checks because I’d forgot to do them earlier. Sad, innit? But I digressed from the plan yet again, deciding it was time for the first Glengettie cuppa of the day to be made and drank. While the kettle was boiling, I noticed the lights that I thought were car headlights again, across in Sherwood. This time two hours earlier than usual?

I got the Nokia camera to take a photo, but the rain was pelting down, and the wind was blowing. So I opened the unwanted unliked, light and view-blocking kitchen window, and tried to take a snap from within, of the lights. Aha! I’d made yet another mess of my photographicalisationing! Although there is an artistic aspect to the resulting picture, it was not planned, obviously.

I read the paragraph above later while editing, and realised I got something else wrong too. I’d written Nokia, in error for Nikon camera, yet again! Grobleknackerbangles!

Got the tea brewed, and back to the Health Checks. The Boot’s Boot’s made in China Sphygmomanometer readings were a lot betterer, with the SYS down from 178 to 154. Nice that!

The Chinese made Harpin Xian Di contactless thermometer, was in the green again, showing a temperature of 36.7°c.

I concentrated on getting the updating of the Saturday post completed. During this session, the wee-wees kicked in, and I think had to have about four of them over the next two hours. Mmm!

I got the finished blog sent off to WordPress. Replied to some emails, and made another brew of tea, Thompsons Punjana this time. (Two more wee-wees?)

The car lights were there still, although I do not think they are vehicle lights now. And tried to retake a decent photograph. This one came out much better than the first effort. Then I took an unzoomed shot in Nightime panorama mode. I’d hoped the clouds I could just make-out in the sky would be captured, but no!

Then I went on the Facebooking updating. Next, onto the WordPress Reader. (Three wee-wees) Started this blog off, and stayed with it for a good while. Sadly, mostly due to the never-ending error-correcting that was needed. Not blaming any ailments. They were kind to me, just a lack of concentration, and lousy-memory for facts, the wanted word and details.

The wee-wees were lessening a lot for some reason, in all the hours of doing the above, I only needed two of them. Then I realised I’d not taken the morning tablets yet – So I did. Hello, the rain has stopped falling!

Another mug of tea was fancied, so I went and made a cup of Glengettie. On the way back to the computer, Argh! I stubbed a toe! A pretty good effort it was, on the wheel of the swivel chair.

Of course, it didn’t bother a bold, brave, heroic person like me at all. Ahem!

I got a brekkers of sorts made up. It was supposed to be a little snack, just a Cornish pastie, peas and what was planned to be a tiny portion of cheesy potatoes, which I got carried away making and went overboard with the amount I made. I think doing Josies CP’s later was on my mind, and I did enough for both of us, Hehe!) So, this ended up as breakfast and main meal for the day for me. I ate it while watching a YouTube video about the serial killer and cannibal Jeffrey Dahmer. I ate all of the breakfast, and I even nibbled some nuts afterwards.

Did some blog updating on this post, made a brew.

Then it was time to get the ablutions sorted out. Which, I did! A stand-up job, which took longer than expected, not that it mattered much. The shaving produced a few nicks here and there. One on the earhole, the chin and the lip. I had a tender spot in a delicate area that I assumed was another furuncle coming. I manipulated the Nikon camera, with dexterity, or just good luck. I managed to get a shot of the offending pain giving whatever it was. Anybodies guess, but I’ll stick with it being a … well, it looks like a boil or furuncle. The discharge from it overnight had been captured in the PPs, so no bother there.

I did a lot of blogging, email reading and sorting, got rid of some unwanted photos from the SD cards, and potatoes. The wee-wees were going on strike. And I took this photo after the rain had stopped altogether.

Time to get Josie’s nosh prepared, and what a performance that was!

From the preparation to plating, took only about an hour. But the mess made was astronomical! The dropsies, too many to count included; the mixing bowl, cutlery, saucepan (luckily empty at the time), the mixer tool and the oven tray (luckily, also empty at the time).

Burnt my finger on the oven rack, I knocked the little black clock off of the window ledge (Not working now! I’ll investigate it later), cut my little-finger slicing the tomatoes, Clouted my head getting back up from retrieving the wooden spoon, and hit it again on the cupboard door! (Spacial awareness on the right side). All-in-all, a Nightmare Kitchen purgatory scenario, that Gordon Ramsay would not have been able to help with. Hahaha!

However, with my confidence aflame, I pushed my muscular firm youthful body onwards, ignored the blood, aches and bruises, and got the meal finished and plated! And delivered it to Josie’s door at the regular time of 12:00hrs.

As normal, she was on the phone to her sister again. Every week, it takes the edge off, making all that effort, not knowing if the gal will carry on with her call or get the meal while it’s still warm. Still; ‘Nemo Mortalium Omnibus Horis Sapit!‘ I hope that she does get it eaten and enjoyed. Then I’ll be happy, too!

By the time I’d got back and cleaned up… well, pretended to sort out the mess in the kitchen, I was drained again, even earlier than usual. All-in, mentally.

Dizzy Dennis joined in with the Thought Storms, as I settled into the £300, second-hand, c1968, cringingly-beige-coloured, not-working, rickety, incommodious, grotty recliner.

The brain required respite from the annoying Thought Storming, but it didn’t get any.
