03:35hrs: I stirred, passed the wind and coughed a little. Found a couple of chips in the crumpled cushion as I exited the recliner. Between my legs was a kitchen towel roll, crushed?
I remembered the diabetes session and the need to get the blog done and posted before going out. So, without any delay, I got the computer going. But Mr Fries, the overpaid smoke & Mirrors boss, decided I wouldn’t! Down Again!

I got the Boot’s Sphygmomanometer, manufactured by, ZDEAC (Zhongshan Daguan Electrical Appliance Company Ltd) in Guangdong, China, and carried out the I used the Lumix cameras on Auto mode, to take this photo, not good is it?

As has been the blood pressure habit now for a week or more, up and down twixt the Red’s Hypo-1, 2, and 3, and suddenly back down into the amber zone; Today’s being on the border of the Hypertension 2 & 3.
This does not seem to bother my Doctor much at all. Nor me, for that matter; there’s no way of getting any helpful advice. I put the figures onto the Excel record. Someone just might be interested. I can hear and see them now: ‘Well, of course, I knew this would nobble him in the end. Still, he’d had enough, having Dementia, Cataract, and Depression… it’s a blessing in disguise. Where did you say he kept his money?
Hehehe! It’s essential to keep a sense of humour, innit?

Back on the computer, to see if ambidextrous Mr Fries, the money-cruncher and con-man, has worked out how to get the Virgin Media Internet back online – Oh, it’s working!
Well, done, Mr Fries; give yourself another $1 bonus.

I got the blog finished and sent it off to WordPress. A funny one about me and Alto-Inchy.

But of course, it went down again.

So I got the ablutionisationing done.
A few cuts shaving, but nothing serious. Then the came into use. Trotsky and Constipation Konrad were both about equally effective.

Carol, not seen her for a week or two. Lovely woman. Got the meds sorted and had a laugh and natter. ♥.

Got the things that needed to be checked ready for the Link bus to arrive. Got in a pickle with finding some of the stuff needed, Tsk! Down and outside with the trolley walker in good time. The driver took the payment from my pocket, and we were soon in Bulwell, in the Riverside car park. An unexpected scene presented itself… As the driver got me out of the minibus, I spotted the number of people queuing. along the back of the car park, up to the main road and around the corner!
I thought there might have been a fire alarm at first. There were people mustering the queuers who all had Nottingham City Council Badgers on. One of them came over to the driver and said something to him. He related, “You’ve got to join the queue to get in “. I joined the rank and file, behind what I estimated as 120 people! The driver drove off.
After 15-minutes and very little movement, I observed that an inordinately large percentage of the people were wearing face masks. Then it clicked, and I asked the man and woman in front of me, “Is this the Covid vaccination queue?” Yes, the lady said. The Nottingham City Council bouncer has assumed that is what I went there for. And sent me to join them. Naughty!
I walked into the centre, but I could not see any of the others on the course? Mind you, by now, it was well passed the starting time. So I went up in the lift, and I found some standing in the hallway. It seems some of them had had a text telling them the course will now start at 11:00 hrs, not 11:00hrs? While three of them had one telling them it will begin at the usual time?
Several of them said, Sod this, it’s farcical; I’m going home! As they approached the stairs to leave, the course man Nathanial arrived. I’m not sure if they all came back or not, but there seemed to be more space in the room compared to the last meeting.
As the meeting started, I stopped Nat to tell him, “I can’t hear what he’s saying, he’s too quiet, and when you do speak up, it’s too fast for me to catch”. I set the ball rolling there! Three others backed me up. Nathanial was amazed and thought we could all hear him. Then carried on in just the volume!

We all made a rush to escape when the meeting was over. I went down with Helen in the lift with our trolleys. Got outside, but the queue was still massive, nowhere to sit while waiting for the minibus. Helen’s taxi arrived, so then I had no one to talk to either. Hehe!

The bus arrived, and the non-communicative driver soon me back at the flats. Gave him a bottle of shandy in appreciation and hobbled up to the flat.

To find a letter delivered that looked official! Had a wee-wee, washed and investigate the correspondence. It was the Co-op Bank informing me of the balance of my savings account. It had gone up from last year… from £2.99, to £3.00. Ah, well!

I took a photo of the afternoon view.
Did some updating on this blog, and then the Fatigue-Fall fell on me?
I was of no use at all. My concentration collapsed, and my body and mind told me to get sat down and relax.
So I did!

within seconds of sitting down, and I slept unbrokenly for about four hours. To be rudely awoken to the chimes of ♫ Oh Susana ♫ blaring out.
Jozeph had arrived. I was only partially aware of what took place, but I feel we had a little natter. Memories of walking to the door with him to lock it and having to ask him to take the waste bag.

I thought I was going to stay up. So, the evening sky and sunsetting looked so beautiful; I thought I’d take some shots of it from the left to the right.

Mother Nature at her finest.

I then proceeded t get something to eat, but I didn’t feel up to making a full meal.
So, the microwave and kettle were used. A veggie burger on a cob and a pot of instant potato, bubble & squeak with cheese granules added.
I got down in the recliner to eat eat, making plans of updating this blog later, and even scribbled some notes to reaming me to go into it. I soon had it eaten, put the tray on the Carers table, while making plans of all the work I’d got to catch up on…
And drifted off until 03:35hrs in the morning! But it was a fitful sleep, full of jumping awakes, that it felt like were happening every five minutes!
Humph!

Inchcock: Saturday 10th September 2022

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

02:05hrs: Sweet Morpheus shook me awake with more than the usual jump and jerk used. No need for that, even if I did need a wee-wee! I forced myself free of the clutches of the second-hand, £300, charity shop-bought, gungy beige coloured, rickety, c1968 recliner, stood up, caught my balance, and took the few steps to the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee-Bucket)

What a wee-wee that was, worryingly. The bladder did not want to free its contents. When it did come, it was not worth the pain and effort of forcing things along. Not an easy one this morning, but at least there was no blood in it; mind you, there was so little evacuated it might have had blood in it cause I could hardly see it in the vastness of the grey bucket. It looked more damp than liquid. Hehe! I checked to find the Inchies . Very little, though, nowt to fret over.
The pain from the bladder drifted into insignificance as I stubbed my toe on the waste bin turning around; lack of concentration as I was looking for the slippers to get on. It was proper-cold this morning.

I took a snap of the morning view from the kitchen window. I’m having to use the Fuli camera, as the Lumix is having its battery recharged. I wish someone could do that with mine; hehehe! Not pleased with this picture at all and the BP photo was taken, but later on, was about as bad. Humph!

Got the Computer booted; to get the odeing and Cartoon done. Then, of course, changed my plan as I realised I had not yet finished yesterday’s blog.
I’m pretty well known for my cunctation, vacillation, and tentativeness. I could starve to death when making up my mind about what to have to eat. Hehe! So, I changed to updating the Saturday blog… it took me four hours to get it completed. The same sad old trait; I couldn’t stop adding things as I recalled them that I couldn’t remember yesterday. Tsk! Got it posted and started on the first of today’s little odes.

But not for long. Sam arrived. I was hoping for a decent nattering session. we did have a gossip, but nothing like a worthy one. She was agitating (is that the right word?) to get away. I delayed her by getting the can of Rum & Strawberry plonk, and a packet of Jacobs Leicester Cheese flavoured mini-cheddars out for her. She took the waste bag with her, only because I asked to, Humph! And off she trotted. ♥

I decided to get the Health checks done. I got out the Boot’s
sphygmomanometer first.
The SYS was a dangerously high 162. However, the DIA was well down from yesterday at 74. The Pulse was a reasonable 76, and body temperature was a smidgeon low at 32.5°f.

The BP analyser showed that the figure was down a lot via yesterday’s top edge in Hypertension One… which was just as well; cause had it been up, I wouldn’t have been here to waffle on about it.

I went back to the computer but forgot I’d made a start on the Ode and started making the political graphic of Liz at the top of this page.

I’m not going to bother with any more photos until the Lumix has fully charged. The first two pictures were embarrassing enough.

I changed again and got the Friday blog finished when I realised I’d not posted it yet.
Kicked of with his Saturday Morning clanging and banging, but fair does, not for long. I hope he’s not injured himself terribly painfully and is lying up there bleeding to death.

A bad one this time! I’d gone into the kitchen to sort out a meal and just opted to have sliced potatoes and roast-vegetable risotto Ready-Made meal and got the required foods out of the fridge; as I turned to take them to the counter, Peripheral Pete gave me an energetic right leg dance – it was only a 30-second twirl, but with the food in my hands, I didn’t get the stick in time. Clunk thud, I landed right on the offending knee!
But there was still a silver lining. Oh, yes! The veg-risotto and potatoes were still in their wrapper, so the food was rescued. Hahaha! A smidge shook up now. Well, I haven’t had a tumble since Tuesday, and I was getting a smidge overconfident, methinks?

While resting for a while, I made some more odes, parts two and three:

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

After doing these, I still felt a little groggy, so got something to eat and settled in the second-hand, £300, c1968, overwhelmingly-sickeningly beige coloured, tatty, uncomfortable, wobbly-recliner.
I kept waking up, as per normal, but there was no inspiration nor desire to get up again. So I kipped woke – kipped and woke for another few hours, still no interest in getting up.

Eventually, the need for a wee-wee forced me into action. Hehe! And, in the wee-weeing – the action was the word! After getting to the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee-Bucket), things started straight away this time! FPB (Forceful-Painful-Blasting) marathon of a wee-wee flowed out as if from a fireman’s hose pipe! Little Inchie has not hurt so much in months. To make things that little bit worse, I suffered a massive amount of   I think the bladder was making up for his lack of action recently. It was as if someone had pulled a plug and Whoosh!

I cleaned up, changed PP’d, and refreshed the NNWB, now being used in the daytime, and got my ponderously cumbrous, over-weight, massive-bellied body down on the recliner again. And I was soon kipping again.
When I woke up with a start, I checked the clock and read it as 22:25hrs. No Evening Carer has called! Or, have they been and fed me the tablets while I was half asleep and did not notice? Confusion Conrad took over.
Aha, thought I, I’ll check the Carers register. Nope, no one had been.

I’m not feeling too bad now,  can take them myself and avoid having to ring about them. I thought I’d give them some more time, so went to get a cold drink from the fridge and took this snap, with the battery charges Lumix, of the sun going down… Hang on, Inchie, I said to myself as the fog cleared in my brain for a moment… What’s the sun doing up there at this time of night?
I realised then that I’d misread the clock. (Thanks, Cataract Katie!) It must have been 17:35hrs!
A flipping good job I didn’t phone them, innit?
Back on the computer or the last Ode making.

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Feeling betterer now. I’ve got over the tumble and clanger over what the time was when I woke up last.
On to CorelDraw to make some tabs up.
Then made a J Sainsbury order for next Tuesday.
A final of the day photograph of the evening sky.

Evening all!

Oh, it’s morning!

Or is it night in America?

Thursday 8th September 2022

.

NO CHANCE OF GETTING A DIARY DONE TODAY
Obviously, the Doctors farce yesterday, the tumble on Mansfield Road, and getting Wednesday’s blog done, took me far too long, well into the morning. Today so many phone calls coming in, I thought for a minute I was getting popular… only joking! Then an Amazon delivery, and an Iceland delivery, knocked most of the things out of the fridge door when I got the shakes when supposedly filling it. That cost me another hour cleaning things up.

More phone calls from someone, a different voice each time, all with an Asian accent, but I just could not understand what they were saying. The first one I said, it’s no good I can’t understand you, sorry, and rang off. The Second one, who was a woman, got almost nasty when I said I could not understand what she was saying, and she rang off. I told each one that I was hard of hearing. Just had yet another call…  the same result, I rang off when he got shouting at me, which of course, made it worse for me to hear. Then another call. I almost didn’t pick up the phone. It was the lady from Community Transport, she will be calling in the morning to take me to Bulwell. Well, I thought it was for next week!

Afraid I’m totally lost now.
So I’ll put the Cartoon and ode on, and a few photos I’ve taken. But I need to get things sorted for the morning, and I’m getting myself all agitated again. The ablutions must be done tonight, ready for the early start tomorrow… gonna look a right twit if it isn’t the right day for the diabetes class? It’s gone 15:00hrs, so it will be a long job getting things as far as I can to post it off in the morning. I’ll have to rush things.

One visit to the Doctor, now I have two more appointments, hope I’ve got them right at least. Did Carer Richard tell Deana about the second change of dates for the Bulwell run? Have I got them tight on the calendar… All this, and a Doctor who isn’t interested in helping, giving advice at all. Then the fall. Sorry about this blog, but I can’t seem e getting caught up with all the problems amassing that need sorting, and no help now; Richard is off until Monday, Can’t get hold of either warden. That’s not their fault by the way. The door knocker who tried to sell me things may be back again, and I just feel confused. Sorry again.

POLITICAL CARTOON OF THE DAY

Oh, Lucky me!

Iceland Delivery.

Balcony from inside
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Lousy night, constantly waking up, a mixed bag of dreams and nightmares.
CorelDraw problems. No hot water yer cause I left the hot tap on yet again! Carer Richard was in a rush again, so natterings were missed again! The poor lad was yawning away again.

Did some comments on WordPress. Then the above Iceland order came in.

Window cleaner Joe arrived, I did keep bothering him with my natterings.
Back on the Wednesday blog and got it finished. Gone midday already. No further Asian calls. I wonder if it was something important. If the Doctor ignores my plea for help with coping with Doreen’s Dementia, well, it’s getting worse. I am totally fuddle-brained over the Bulwell bookings
The two other appointments they made have both been changed since Deana spotted they had made one at eleven o’clock… at night!
It’s late now; I’ll get the ablutions done. Watch it… I bet I get a when I’m in the shower… if I ever in it. I’ll use new razors for shaving today. Made a start on this blog first. Tsk! The Carer will be here soon, must rush… TTFN.

Carer arrived, Sam, I think.
I was asleep in the recliner and half awake.

Thank heavens that I fell back to sleep. I was at least temporarily free of worry, self-hatred, fear and frustrations.

INCHIES DAIRY, IMITATION ODE, & CARTOON

06:30: Up later than planned, hoping the J Sainsbury order, which was due twixt 06:00 > 20:00hrs, had not been, and I’d not heard them. I meandered wobbly into the kitchenette and took these photos of the view.
I took the one on the right through the bottom window. It had been raining but was just stopping now.
The houses looked reasonably wet, I could not see the roadways clearly enough. So I used the camera to zoom in to have a look at Cavendish Road, or Close, or Street, or whatever. Hehe!
I was not exactly soaking wet, more severely damp.
I stripped off to get the ablutions tended to, and the left wrist looked terribly swollen and blotchy. No idea why; it itched but did not hurt at all. I got in the bathroom and realised that I had only got two pairs of my smaller American-made Nappies… I mean Protection Pants, left! I had the best of them all, the Tena, but they are not suitable for going out in, they are so bulky, they show through the trousers, but ace at coping with any leakages! So, I ordered some of the American Depend ones from Amazon. Sod the cost, I got a multipack to last me for a month at least. Likely even longer cause, as I say, the Depend ones are not used other than when someone is visiting, or I go to the hospital or as it happens tomorrow to the Doctors. Not a lot of people can say that! Hehehe! Got the ablutions sorted out.

J Sainbury sent me an email about the order due today.
As you can see, they continue to be short of various foods, like bread, nuts, and veggie products.
They also sent a tray of ‘Fresh’ Parmentier potatoes that showed on the pack it arrived today as the last use-by date!
What’s the Sainsbury slogan? Sainsbury’s, making life taste better!
Yes…
I’m sure!

Arrived while I was bending down to pick up some bits I’d dropped, putting them in the wast bag. He fetched the picker-upper, handed it to me, and told me off for not using it. Hehe!
Pillock! I lost it again and thought for some reason that I was going to the Doctor’s today, not tomorrow. And although Richard wanted to get away, I asked him if he could go through the things I need to remember to tell the doctor about. Obligingly he did. But rushed off afterwards – Whoosh! He still took the bags to the chute for me. Bless him. Moments afterwards, I realised my cock-up; I did feel like a right proper fool!

Oh, Susan chimed out ♫ It was my precious Nurse Hristina, come to take the Warfarin INR test blood. She is an Angel. I managed to have a natter with her this time. So, that made up for Richard having to shoot off early. A sweetheart, remind me of HRH. ♥ Of course, she fancies me so much!

As Hristina went, the Sainsbury man arrived. This chap usually does not squash the soft stuff at the bottom of the boxes… but not today. I cheered up a smidgeon when I got the boxes into the kitchen, and I spotted something in the left carton… Germoloid Cream!
What a sight, I could feel pain from easing just looking at it. Har-Har!
Not cheap, as the Protection Pants I’ve ordered, but both are sort of vital to me.
I placed it in the usual place in the wet room, safely in view, where I knew I can find it when needed… which was now! But the food needed storing away first. You can just see the crushed cakes, almost out-of-date Parmentier potatoes? Along with orange desserts, disinfectant, orange cordial, cheesy Idaho potatoes and Richards beef slices, I always get him a pack or two each week. He’s a good lad.
Here are the baked bean pasties, freshly podded garden peas I bet the bank manager can’t afford these, well, I can’t, but they are delicious) Yellow and red tomatoes, ordered before Jenny gave me some, strawberries for Warden and Table-Top Dancer, Deana if I ever get to see her again, and sliced potatoes.
The fridge has never been fuller, and I think I’ve got another order coming later in the week, I think… maybe. Perhaps?

A bit of bad luck here; hard to believe, I know! I was taking the waste bags and boxes back to the front door and had a spot bother with a , only of a few seconds, but enough to have me over this time. The bags and boxes I was carrying prevented me from using the walls as support. Shook me for a minute or two. But all okay when I got back up, apart from a leg on the airer that I fell on, Gorilla tape to the rescue. A minuscule scratch and an even smaller bruise on the right knee. All goodski!

♫ Oh, Susana ♫ chimed up again. It was the Amazon long Diabetic socks arriving, with the Organic Hemp Capsules, Hemp and Lemon Balm. A bigger bag this time, not in a tub, but three times as many

They seem bigger to me as well. And, they work out cheaper. Plus, of course, they will last longer. On a rare winner here, I think! But I’m not going into a
Well, knowing my luck, Hehehe!

I gave the socks a good check-over. I have to admit they seem strong enough and long enough to me. All ready for the winter months!

I very belatedly got the Sunday blog finished and sent off. Busy day up to now; I don’t think I’ve ever been so late in posting one off to WordPress. Obviously, this means another stay-up-late job to get this one started. Just when I needed to get the sleep in to be prepared for the Doctor’s tut-tutting and ignoring me in the morning’s appointment.

I’ve not done the darned yet! I’d better get them sorted, then.
Just look at the results! They tell me to take these Blood Pressure readings in the morning, but taking them tonight – and I got the best ever results!
I AM IN THE GREEN!!!

Happiness, Happiness…
Great, a definite upgrade to a Class One – Grade A, Super Class One upgrade! There’s a chance I may regret saying that!

♫ Oh, Susana ♫ burst forth from the door chime. Jodie called. Nice to see her again; we had a little chinwag and laugh after she’d tended to my needs. (Ahem!) A special thank you treat & choice of cold drink.

Then, I went to put the kettle on. A habit of mine; the same as finding the mug of tea I made hours ago on the counter and stone cold! Getting late now. This photo of the dying sun was taken. I got this decentish shot on the first try. It had to happen sometime! Hehe!

At last, I got around to doing some work on this blog. I was doing well… until the two little fingers started dancing about of their own accord! I nearly dropped the camera taking this photograph of little monkeys!
It was impossible to type safely while they were wallowing all over the place, so I gave up until they stopped dancing.

Then, ♫ Oh, Susana ♫ burst forth yet again! A little late for a caller? I opened the door, and there was Jenny’s hubby Frank. A nicer bloke does not exist! He was returning the tablets that I gave to Jenny yesterday. Just one used. A note with them from Jenny: Said they did not agree with her at all. Poor gal was sick and unsteady, then fell asleep for four hours.
I wanted to call her on the landline but thought better of it in case it disturbed her. Poor Jenny. So I sent an email of condolences at her predicament. Not that would help her. Typing that was fun.

Off to put the oven on, ready for the now past-the-sell-by-date Parmentier potatoes that J Sainsbury delivered yesterday. (It is Friday morning now!) Not that the folks around here would know, lights still showing in all the houses. Have I lost it again, timewise? I took another photo of the multitude of household lights. The flippy photo disappeared from the SD card again! So much for bragging about the last photo I took. Humph! Big-Gob strikes again.

I’ll put the photo of the meal on tomorrow. He’s say’s full of confidence!

Hope I don’t get up late, must get things done for the Doctors visit. So the blog may be even later… Fed-up!

Cheers, all!
