Inchcock – Saturday 2nd February 2019: Odd sort of day. Got a hobble in, was in a right grumpy state of mind today. Tsk!

Welsh: Sadwrn 2 Chwefror 2019

WD 0.77.77 00:45hrs: What a mess of a night! Forever waking and nodding-off repeatedly for hours and hours! When I did wake, and the brain engaged its usual imitation of modus operandi, my first thought was, “Well, that was a waste of time!” (Trying to sleep).

WD 0.77.77 Signs of nocturnal nibbling were spotted, crumbs on the expanse of the stomach folds and craters, and liquorice allsorts sweet on the recliner arm… but this realisation was lost when I spotted something even I found astounding:

6Sat06WD 0.77.77 The swollen legs had gone down at last, but the obese midriff was now a massive blown-up balloon, that had expanded surely as far as it is possible for it to become distended, without exploding! Let’s hope I don’t prick myself with anything sharp! Hahaha!

Taking this photo, and Duodenal Donald and Reflux Roger kicked off. So, off to the kitchen to get some medications and do the Health Checks. But first, the challenge of removing my even more-bulbous-body than usual, from the nocturnal nibbling residue-covered £300 second-hand, 1968, rickety, rusty recliner! (Try saying that mouthful when you’ve had a few drinks! Haha!) But, I was well-pleased with the ease in which I manipulated my torso from the chair. Smug-Mode-Adopted!

I took an extra Ramipril and Omeprazole in the hopes of easing the pain for Reflux Roger and Duodenal Donald. Then I got the Health Checks done.

6Sat05

WD 0.77.77 Cor blimey! The Sys showed 203 and the Dia 80! Still, the others seemed okay. I’ll take the second reading early, to put my mind at rest. Why do these splanchnic problems always happen at the weekend when there is no help available! Grumph!

6Sat03The view from the kitchen window has an airliner flying across the sky, so I took this photographicalisation.

But by the time I fetched the camera to take the shot, it had gone or disappeared behind some clouds perhaps. But a picturesque contrasting effort, all the same, I thought.

Porcelain Throne demands arrived, so off to the wet room I plodded. The evacuation was a little messy, but no complaints, I’ve had much worse before, and no bleeding from Haemorrhoid Harold!

This picture provides proof that the pins fluid retention had reduced dramatically. And, no new spider-veins, papsules or blood-swells, either. Good! Only a dr6Sat02op of liquid in the ankles this morning. Thanks to Lona, Jenny, Sandie and the others for their advice. ♥

But, the ginormous bloated stomach that came on overnight remains. Ah well, it could be much nastier, and many folks are far worse off than I am.  I felt a lot better than yesterday. Maybe I will take a hobble to Daybrook later, to see if the B&M store there has any Glengettie tea bags on sale?

I got the computer going and did my best to finalise yesterdays diary. A lot of it I couldn’t remember at all with my getting the dizzies and shakes as I did last night. I thought I’d missed the medications and not had any meal. But I found the dosage pots for last night empty,  and a photo of a tray of tomatoes and bacon meal! I got the diary finished eventually and sent it off to WordPress.

I got on with starting this blog. During which, there were very few wee-wees needed.

I got corn flakes for my brekkers and watched a YouTube video while eating it.

Went on WP Reader and answered comments.

WD 0.77.77 Got the ablutions tended to, and worra farce it was! All went well with doing the teggies and shaving, then I got under the shower and got myself carbolicalised all over with the soap – Boing! The two red lights on the panel on the wall flashed red, and a bleeping started, and the water stopped! The sodding Weekend Whoopsiedangleplops continue!

I have to admit to feeling infuriated, sulky and a tad pee’d-off!  I could not help but muse over a few facts:

  1. My flat was the only one with a Weevil infestation!
  2. My flat is the only one that needed the newly-fitted storage heater in the kitchen to be relocated cause I could not get into the cupboards and now I have decorating and holes in the floor and wall to sort out!
  3. My flat was the only one that the plasterer left with splashes all over the curtains, the chairs, the storage heater, the glass on the new unwanted balcony door, the TV screen, and the computer keyboard!
  4. My flat was the only one that had plaster splashed and spread all over the new carpets – and had a man from Willmott Dixon come to clean it up with a bottle of spirit and a wire brush, and part-shredded what bit of pile there was left –  and now I need new carpets throughout the apartment! I shall do no buying or repairing until all of the demolition repairmen have finished – plasterers, electricians and plumbers in particular scare the crap out of me with their ability to leave more rubbish behind them than there was when they came. And that’s saying something about the flat! Hehehe!
  5. My flat is the only one last week to have the hot water control trip-out!
  6. My flat was the only one last week to have the light-tube blow in the kitchen! Without the help of the Nottingham City Homes Management, I’d still be waiting for the above two be repaired!
  7. My flat is the only one that has had an infestation of Ladybirds too!
  8. My flat had goods from eBay, no, the other one, erm… Amazon, delivered on a Saturday and it was delivered to the wrong block of flats, I got a call from Nottingham City Homes Control Room telling me where it was, and I had to move it straight away, it is a safety hazard! Which meant I had to go out in the rain to Winchester Court, got a rollicking off from the tenantess for being stupid enough to have it delivered to the wrong address. – Despite my pointing out the address label with 72, Woodthorpe Court on it, And then carry a boxed easy-chair all the way back to  Woodthorpe Court, with a dozen stops to catch my breath. Then go back to collect the other parcel and home again, I was nearly crippled, caught a cold and tore off one of my fingernails lugging the stuff about. Of course, weekend, so no help available!
  9. My flat gets mail delivered for the wrong units, and I take them to the correct one in Woodthorpe or Winchester. My missing letters, I never see again.
  10. 6Sat20My flat had a bloke come to block-off the air vent in the kitchen. This on the right is how he left it. Well, not exactly, he departed, and I went off to the clinic. When I got back it was like this, the filler had dribbled out and down the wall over the electric socket and dried like cement or concrete. Obergruppenführeress Warden Deana rang someone about it for me. A man called and said when they get time, he’ll send someone to look at it for me. I thanked him and apologised for being a nuisance. That must have been three-four years ago now. My hopes are long faded along with my will-power. But, my chronically lousy luck just continues, on, and on, and on!

I’m feeling a little woebegone, melancholic and despondent now. Low-spirited and dejected. Especially now I find out I owe the dentist money I thought I’d already paid them. Oy gevalt!

I used up several rolls of kitchen towel and ricked my neck trying to clean off the carbolic soap from my Billy Bunter-like moulded flobby-body. Then readied my things for a limp into Daybrook in search of some Glengettie tea. My EQ told me there was no chance of this! Not with my current run of Inchockamian Luck!

6Sat07By gum, it was nippy when I first got out onto Chestnut Walk. But I kept hobbling as quickly as I could and then didn’t feel the cold so much, except for when  I had to wait about or take a photograph, and I made plenty of them today, mind.

I crossed over the Walk a started up the gravel hill to Woodthorpe Grange Park.

6Sat08I soon found the scenery pleasant. There is something fresh about mornings like this, don’t you think?

Taking extreme care in the ice and frost underfoot, I was soon up, and at the top, a cyclist came down quickly, but he gave me plenty of room.

6Sat09To the top of the hill and left along the Park Footpath towards Mansfield Road.

Now taking even more care as the path was well icy.

By the time I’d got down to the gates in the distance, I’d been threatened by several times by the Nottinghamian Pavement Cyclists, who each seemed to take great joy in making me jump. Two of them said something to me, as did a chap in a mobility scooter, but I could not make out what it was they said exactly.

6Sat13

I turned right and along Mansfield Road and into Daybrook.

The brain began to churn, but not in an annoying or harmful way for once. The beauty of the weather and the shortage of Homo sapiens around me started me wondering about life in general and the future of we tellurians. The subject matter soon moved on to Brexit and its problems, political subterfuge, shenanigans, roguery and Artful Dodger-like antics of those in charge.

6Sat14Passing a neat piece of Nottinghamian Street Art, on Mansfield Road pavement.

This time, it had been created with the help of McDonald’s sauce pots and potato waffle-like food, plastic cutlery a straw, and some unrecognisable extras. And possibly a few pints and or chasers over the top?

Hehehe!

6Sat19

The Mini-Hobble today

6Sat15As I got into Daybrook and crossed over the road, I passed the BP Petrol Station.

Not being able to drive anymore, I spotted the price of petrol. I didn’t think that was too bad considering. Later I wanted to compare this with America, for when I post the photo on the TFZer Facebook site. I found out: The price of fuel in the USA. When we were in Colorado last September, unleaded petrol was $4.59 a gallon. Taking all the conversion factors into account, including smaller US gallons, that equates to about 76 pence per litre. Currently, unleaded in the UK is about £1.40 per litre. So, Nottingham’s prices seem fair enough? I’ll find out I hope, about Australian, American actual and Canadian prices from the lasses and lads on the TFZ later.

6Sat18aI seemed to be going off in tangents with the mind today. Back to the blog, sorry. I called into the B&Q Store and searched for the Glengettie tea bags. Nope, none left, and they will not be getting any more in. Ah, well!

I did get the last of these whole peeled tomatoes in tomato sauce though. They were short dated, and cost only 20p each! And a pot of porridge.

I paid and left the shop. I walked over the crossing and to the bus stop in Daybrook Square.

6Sat16I was soon dropping off the bus in Sherwood. Where I stayed, to await the arrival of the L9 back up the hill to Winwood Heights complex. I later came across this Time-lapse video of the progress being made in the new Winwood Court Extra Care Flats buildings. I hope I put it on here correctly and it works. Interesting few seconds for folks to watch.

https://www.nottinghampost.com/news/nottingham-news/time-lapse-video-shows-how-1417176.

6Sat18I took this picture of part of the new Winwood Extra Care building.

I think this is part of a passageway between Winchester Court and the new block so they can keep out of the rain when then go to see the  Oberscharführeress Wardens in their new command-post.

I got into the flat, and no wee-weeing was 6Sat18bneeded? Good that, I think!

WD 0.77.77 A little tip here, folks: When you climb on the stepladder to store a pot of porridge on top of the cupboard, it is best not to slip off of the tread and grab the first thing you can to stop yourself falling. Cause you might fall-off anyway and get your fingers stuck in the slide of the ladders and leave some imprints in your finger. Just thought I’d mention it, like. Haha!

I got the mushrooms, carrots and peas in the saucepan cooking with a little demerara sugar, then got on with updating this blog.

An hour or so later, I got the Cumberland Pie, added extra cheddar cheese on top of it and into the ready-heated oven and set the timer so I can put the sourdough bread in and hopefully, they will both be cooked at the same time.

6Sat30The bread and nosh came out almost perfect!

Everything was eaten this time and enjoyed.

I think my realising that I have had no Dizzy Dennis or Shaking Shaun hassle today, helped me to relish the fodder more?

A Flavour-Rating of 9.4/10 was granted to this mini-feast.

5Fri004I washed the pots up and got the Health Checks done.

Settled to watch some TV (I’ll have to stop trying this, I never stay awake long enough to watch owt proper!)

Zzzz!

Corsican: Venerdì 1 di Frivaru 2019

23:45hrs: I woke, and after the brain had found and engaged its first-gear, I seemed to feel in fine fettle, mentally. I was up and out of the ageing 1968 second-hand rickety recliner and into the kitchen in at such a rapid-rate-of-knots, it surprised me. I was cheered with finding the hot water was back on again, and no demands for any wee-wees yet either.

I set about doing the Health Checks.

5fri001b

5fri001No dramatic changes noted to the readings this morning.

I took the medications and medicines and got the kettle on to make a brew of Glengettie strong tea.

wd 0.0.30 Then, the first wee-wee of the day arrived, with little warning. Luckily, the emergency grey plastic bucket was close to hand to be utilised. This was an LHBLWWs (Long Hosepipe-Blasting like Wee-wee).

5fri002wd 0.0.30 After which, just as unexpectedly and urgent as the wee-wee, the need for the Porcelain Throne arrived.

Off I went to the wet room (I must have looked like a shortened fatter version of John Cleese doing a funny walk. Hehe!). The evacuation went very smoothly and unmessily.

Although a slight reluctance to be freed from the rear-end was indicated.

But this gave me a 5fri003achance to read some more of the sad, yet fascinating Victoria Wood biography.

I checked the pins. Fluid retention seemed to have gone down from last night, and a new papsule and welt had appeared. Still, it keeps the interest going, dunnit? Haha!

The left wrist began to itch like crazy, and I could not help but scratch away at it for ages. No marks on the skin? It felt a little like I had worms wriggling in the arm? It ultimately stopped bothering me and has not come back again.

Back to the kitchen and disinfected the little emergency grey bucket and left it handily placed twixt the kitchen and front room. (What me, fall over it? Ahem!)

I made a start on the Thursday blog. It took around five hours to get it done. Partly because of the number of things that had taken place yesterday, that I needed to recall, and the abysmal, wretched appalling performance of the Liberty-Global Virgin Media connection!

5fri004

Would you buy a second-hand car from him?

I decided on some (Which shamefully turned out to be far more than planned – [Shame Mode Adopted] Tsk!) Scottish Shorties and another mug of tea for brekkers. Nice! Had an LHBLWW and back on the computer, to make a Morrison order for next week.

wd 0.0.30 The following hours were spent battling Dizzy Dennis and Shaking Shaun, I’m afraid. Memories are patchy.

5Fri34I found on the morning that the medications had been taken, so that was good.

I did have a meal though, because I found this terribly blurred photograph on it in the camera too.

Recalling taking the meds and doing the meal is impossible. But I’d filled in the result sheets?

A bad few hours. Tsk!

I had nodded off and woke up, feeling a lot better, but not right. (That about covers it, Huh!) I checked the place for stove, taps, light dangers, it seemed I had left nothing on that I shouldn’t have.

Reflux Roger was in as bad a mood as he has ever been.

Ah, well! TTFN.

Sunday 13th January 2019

Italian: Domenica 13 Gennaio 2019

23:50hrs. Once more, I woke with an entirely altered and different outlook and health condition than of the previous morning. I found my physical fettle alrightish, but the mental side was a little fragile, seemed to be psychoactive. Fretful, angstful, restless, all of a dither. Actively searching for something to worry over, fear or give me concern? Luckily, once again the SSPWW (Short=Sharp-Painful-Wee-wee) pulled me out of my clinomania and mind-warping terrors!

wd0.0.90 I exited the £300 second-hand rickety recliner within seconds and took the three paces to the emergency grey tub, and painfully relieved myself. It had to be a forbearing exercise this time. For things flowed and flowed… and flowed. Not as powerfully as of late, but for so much longer!

wd0.0.90 Just as things were coming to an end, Dizzy Dennis attacked. I was able to avoid dropping the tub thankfully. I got it back down on the floor. Then I needed to hold on to the door for a few seconds as the dizzies slowly eased. I understood that this problem may well be caused by the Furosemide side-effects.

More hassle next!

wd0.0.90 I realised that Litte Inchies fungal lesion had been bleeding away as I’d wee-wee’d. Oy-Yoy-Yoy! What next!

wd0.0.90 Off to the wet room to try and medicated and clean things up. I had used the last of the 2.5% Hydrocortisone cream. Ululation-Mode-Adopted! I used the tube of 1%, but have little confidence in its effectiveness. I don’t mean to kvetch, folks, but may be forced into it if things don’t start getting better soon! Tut-tut! Another wee-wee was taken while in the wet room. From here on, they seem to have returned to the shorter but more frequent mode. As they did yesterday. Had a rinse and disinfected contact points, taps, WC, handles etc.

wd0.0.90 Guess what I found as I was leaving the wet room? A rather large and alive EIBWBBB (Evil Ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetle) I ha7sun01d hoped I’d seen the last of these! He kindly posed for me to take this photograph, then suddenly he/she was off down the shower grate like a flash! It appeared to have longer legs than the other earlier ones. This weevil indeed moved much faster than any I’ve seen before, and I have seen thousands of them in the flat over the last year? As someone said: Perhaps Nottingham City Homes could make money out of these. They must be full of protein, we could sell them to a laboratory, Far-Eastern fast-food outlet or somewhere? Hehehe!

Had another SSPWW as I went to check on the recliner area. (Thank heavens for that grey bin!) I could not see any signs of nocturnal nibbling, but I did note the tray with the dish cutlery on from last nights meal. So I removed it to the kitchen sink and got them washed up. Another Grey-Bin-Wee-wee!

Finally, I’d got around to getting the Health Checks done!

7sun02

Things looked a little lower in with the SYS & DIA, the pulse is up a bit, which is good I think. Got the medications taken, wondering what will happen with the wee-weeing now I’d imbibed the morning Furosemide. I soon found out. I put the kettle on, and by the time it had boiled, I had to make a dash for the Grey-Wee-Wee-Bin! On this single release, I thought the day would be gone before the flow stopped! I had a vision of them having troubles at my cremation as I leaked and put the fire out! Hahaha!

7sun03wd0.0.90 Amidst all the morning troubles, the mind going potty… finding the new breed of giant weevil, Dizzy Dennis’ attack, Inchies Lesion bleeding, the wee-weeing and having just clouted my knee against the cabinet in the kitchen,  I found myself humming ‘Silent Night’ to myself? Possibly a mix of old age, deliration, dementia, and mental derangement, I imagine.

7sun05I checked the condition of the legs. I discovered a tiny welt from the knee-banging, and much rescaping and reshaping of the surfaces had taken place since the last check. Definitely, a lot more misshaped knobblier appearance today.

The distribution of the retained fluid, not so much now, but it was still the top half of the legs with the higher content. The blue marks from yesterday, had vanished? Inevitably, blood and fluids flow downwards, don’t they? If I were an American, I’m sure some biology laboratory would have paid me to examine them. The moon’s surface comes to mind. Haha!

At last, I got around to updating the Saturday blog, finished it and got it sent off to WordPress. (With only about five Wee-wees needed, too!)

Made a start on this post, got up to here and felt a bit peckish. Went to make a pot of porridge, but I had none left. So I had a pot noodle. Watch a YouTube thingy while I ate it.

Worked on CorelDraw, to make some headers for the series. Started the nosh preparations.

Did the Health Checks and suddenly I didn’t feel too good. Duodenal Donald was giving signs of his intentions. Alack! I thought this might affect my appetite, but no! I gobbled up the meal, meat pie, tomatoes and cheesy mashed potatoes, followed by a limoncello. A rating of 9.55/10 for this effort!

7sun38

I was incapable of doing much now, and got down in the chair and just drifted off.

But things turned a little bothersome, as the dreams kept coming and coming… but any rest (Tut-Tut!) Did not! Oy Vey! – So early, this was the end of my day!

TTFN each.

23:35hrs. WD 0.31.0 Oh, boy! If you had seen my antics in painfully trying to get my overweight gargantuan-stomached body out of the £300 second-hand recliner and to the emergency SSWW bin in time, for what turned out to be a Power-Short-Sharp-Wee-wee, you would not have been able to resist bursting into laughter; even I smiled afterwards! Hehehe!

2Tue10

WD 0.31.0 Just like yesterday morning, after using the emergency SSWW/LHBLWW (Long Hosepipe-Blasting like Wee-wee) bin and starting to clean it, the porcelain Throne had to be used. I got to the wet room in enough time this visit. Phew!

I washed, got the room cleaned up. And got the Health Checks done and medications were taken.

2Tue04

2Tue03The BP seemed to be worryingly low. I took the medications and made a brew, then took the second Health Check. Which seems to have gone high within the ten minutes or so since the earlier one I did?

00:00hrs. New Year:

Austin A40I made up a blog with the photographs I’d just taken out of the windows, of the fireworks from the New Year lovers of Nottingham. And got it posted off to WordPress as a post.

Here are a few of the pictures, many more on the link: New Year Photographicalisations

2Tue11a

2Tue05Despite the heat from the oven, and the thermometer showing the temperature to be about 64°f – 17.77°c in the kitchen, and the warmth coming from the new storage radiator which was fitted too close that I could not open my cupboards and had to be moved, leaving me with plastering, painting and a new floor to be paid for and fitted. But no point in doing anything yet about that or the carpets that were ruined by the plasterer, as the electricians, plumbers and alarm installation people are still to come to make their particular mess in installing communications and a sprinkler system yet. I was still feeling so cold? Heck of a mouthful there, Haha!

2Tue11I got some brekkie made up. Mini pork pies, pickled gherkins, cooked chestnuts, and a few oven chips, followed by a raspberry mousse, that went down very well as I watched a YouTube clip on the Grenfell disaster. I see that no one has been blamed or taken the blame yet. Makes me sick! Well, that’s true come think of it, I am sick! Hehe!

Blimus, I keep shivering this morning, and it’s not cold at all, I’ll recheck the thermometer… it’s the same temperature showing, 64°f – 17.77°c.

I tackled the updating and finishing off of the Monday post. IT took me over five hours to get it done. The concentration has gone to pot, and the odd Dizzy Dennis visit didn’t help 2Tue10ain the least. I went on WordPress reader.

I trotted, well alright then, limped off to make myself a mug of tea. I saw a bit of smoke blowing through the window. I zoomed in to take a picture of it.

It had gone in five minutes, wonder what it was?

2Tue09WD 0.31.0 Back to the computer. Fingers on the keyboard and… well, another EIBWBBB (Evil Ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetle) found on my finger. Having my reading glasses on, I could see the scallywag doing her or his best to bite into the skin? I wondered if it might be the Furosemide they might be after? But why would that be, I tried to think of some funny reason to type, but the brain  was not functioning in it normal mode today.

I made a start on this post and realised it was suddenly thirteen-hours since I got up. Time flies dunnit? Humph! Got as far as this, and decided I needed to catch up on the Facebooking, so I did.

The fatigue arrived, so I got the nosh prepared. Not a lot, but nice-flavour.

Channel 81 on Freeview had some good stuff on that I wanted to watch.

Repeated calls for LHBLWWs (Long Hosepipe-Blasting like Wee-wees) delayed the falling asleep for a while, but I dropped off, halfway through ‘Great Expectations’.

But shot awake four hours later, in need of more Wee-wees. Tsk!

Inchcock Today: Tuesday 25th December 2018: An aches and pain-ridden, natterless day. Depressed, sorry for myself… Hey-Ho!

Tuesday 25th December 2018

Croatian: Utorak, 25. prosinca 2018. godine

WD 29.1.61 00:25hrs. I opened my eyes, at first concentrating on my obvious need for the Porcelain Throne to be utilised with some urgency… but the immediate need was lost as soon as I tried to move the arms and they ached and hurt? Then as I went through the torso, I discovered that the legs, neck, hands, back, wrists, fingers, shoulders, knees… almost everywhere was smarting, aching, stiff or sore.

As I dismounted the £300 second-hand rusty recliner and got up on my feet, (Not easy when one is carrying such excess weight around the midriff, I can tell you. Tsk!). The moment I tried to walk, the left knee and ankle gave off the same pains and disquieting feelings as they did last week, in the shopping centre when I took a tumble as they gave-way. I recall the Security Guard asking me if I had been drinking! Humph! Sorry, back to this morning, I was I have to admit, a little worried about the knee and ankle. Surely, they are not linked directly together, are they?

WD 29.1.61 I got to the wet room, but I was a little late getting there. ‘Mega-Embarrassment Mode Engaged’ I don’t want to go into the details, but the cleaning and medicating after the evacuation took me a long time. Just as well nothing urgent on today.

2Tue02fWD 29.1.61 As I was leaving the wet room, I spotted a couple of EIBWBBBs (Evil Ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles) on the floor. Both kaputt. I followed Doug’s advice (Thanks, Doug!) and photographed them against something to judge the size of them against for the next picture. I used a 20p coin and kept it in the wet room to use again.

They were not as large as those yesterday, I don’t think anyway.

2Tue06I got the computer on and checked the Emails. A couple of WP comments and one from the Doctors Surgery about the Warfarin INR blood test results.

WD 29.1.61 It was too late for me not to take the ‘0’, as I had already had 2 on the previous dose listing last night. So, the level must be high, as the dosages had been reduced. Which means I will have to take care not to have any cuts or bruising. At the bottom of the Email, it said: Date of your next dose is 27.12.2018 at 11 a.m. I assume they meant my next appointment is on that date? So, the level has to be high, if they are calling me back in two days for another one. I began to wonder if this can have anything to do with my waking up with such painful,  aching joint and limbs?

At least Janis offered me a Merry Christmas, even if she did confuse me a bit. Hehe, bless her.

Heck, the wrists and knees are not getting any easier yet. But the shakes and shivering have stopped now. I’ll take an extra Codeine Phosphate when I imbibe the medications and get the Health Checks done.

I made up a humorous Thoughts of the day Ode blog about my ailments and posted it off. The words flowed freely and easily for this poem of Woe.

Then I got on with finishing off the updating of the Monday post and got that on WordPress as well. But, due to the message below, this took me ages to get finished! Humph! But it did get a lot less slow later on.

2Tue08

WD 29.1.61 Huh, I then realised I had not done the Health Checks, so I did.

2Tue05

2Tue04I am now more convinced than ever that something had gone wrong with the old, now thrown away thermometer. For since using this new one, the results have been higher, as you can tell on the chart above.

Good job Tim Price let me know about how low the old readings were with the old one! Thanks, Tim.

Both knees and ankles were still feeling stiff and painful. The left ones more so than the right ones. I have the feeling that the joints just might let me down again?

2Tue07While in the kitchen, I prepped the minced lamb and got it in the crock-pot.

I added some lamb gravy granules in the water and some mint sauce with a tiny drop of balsamic vinegar. I gave it all good stir and put it on auto setting.

Some canned borlotti beans to add later, and chop up some tomatoes to use as well.

2Tue0907:20hrs. The earlier crystal-clear view was getting a bit misty now.

I regretted opening the newly installed view and light-blocking, steamed up wet windows to take this photo. It was far colder than I thought. My spectacles steamed up and wet dripped inside off of the excessively thick plastic window frames and fell in onto the ledge where the bread was, and I had to throw away the bread. Well, the cobs I bought yesterday. A good job I bought the continental sliced bread though. I can have a good dunk of that in the lamb and bean stew later. Hehe!

WD 29.1.61 Hello, another trip to the Porcelain Throne. All good this time.

Did the midday Health Checks, not feeling too good now. The stiffness and aches are worse than earlier now. Humph! Still, I mustn’t moan, Dizzy Dennis and Shaking Shaun have both taken my leave.

Suddenly tiredness dawned. All I could do was to switch off the computer and get myself down in the recliner.

Four hours (or so) and many nod-offs later, I sprang awake confused. Got off to the Porcelain Throne, rinsed and got the nosh sorted while I could.

2useWD 29.1.61 A grand headache came on, and some vicious sneezing as I served up the most pathetic tasting meal I’ve made in years!

The lamb was so fatty, (but still, so am I, Hehehe!) The cob had gone hard and dry, but the oven chips were great! Tsk!

I left most it, well, I ate the chips.

I found myself in a right state as I washed the pots, battling to stay awake and ♫Aching All Over♫ still.

Last Health Checks were done, and I remembered not to take any Warfarin as per the confusing instructions.

Certainly not one of my best Christmas days. Hey-Ho!
