04:55hrs: I woke up for what must have been the 20th time overnight and decided to give up trying to sleep and get up.
The instant I rose onto my feet, a giddy spell developed, and at the same time, I realised I was not in full control of things in my head. A confusing babble of thoughts raced to and fro. I think I did the right thing; I sat down and let Dementia Doreen have her run. As it happened, she or whatever the cause, was bringing forth ideas, regrets, guilt, mistakes etc., so fast, I was barely bothered by it.
But it left me struggling to concentrate for a few hours.
Some things seemed foreign to me, not everything to mind. I can recall, over the next hour, a few incidents, which I’ll share with you, and the Dementia nurse when I see her again. If I remember! I had three trips to the Porcelain throne in about 15 minutes. On the first, I actually had to think where the flush was and was physically reaching up for a second to pull the nonexistent chain?
On the last call, when I decided to put some olive oil in the ears, I could not pick up the bottle. No reason at all for this, as far as I could tell. I just could not grab the bottle? Seconds later, I tried again, and no problem, all back to usual?
I really want to tell the nurse and Carer Richard about this; it was so weird. I’ll tell Richard he can pass it on if he sees the nurse again.
I felt disorientated for a time.
As I was making up the waste bags, I stopped to take some photographs from the kitchen window. I suppose because the scene looked so beautiful. Yet no different than usual, well, it was to me.
Then I forgot all about the waste bin bagging and found myself putting the laundry to go into the big bag.
I went to get the kettle on and realised I’d left the flipping tap running again! My self-hating and inner lambasting erupted. Worran, odd morning.
♫Things Ain’t Wot They Used To Be♫.
Made a brew and checked that the Georges-Asda dressing gowns were still coming. George’s says delivery today, but the transport company (Hermes, I think) only say estimated to come today? Not another Amazon-like farce, Please!
Arrived. Helped me with the computer order and Amazon cock-up.
Didn’t take the waste bags with him. Got him all day today, clever lad.
Updated the Friday WordPress blog. Went on WP comments. Then Pinterested some photos.
Arrived, but I forgot to ask him to take the waste bag again. He departed, leaving it on the box in the hallway near the door.
I was so tired. But had to try to stay awake in case Hermes delivered the dressing gowns. (Ha!) What a dreamer this idiotic, retarded, in-pain, beyond-help, uneducated, bald, large right testicled, mentally and physically crumbling old-timer is!
Euthanasia comes to mind.
As I was taking these pictures of the brightest part of the day, and I thought pretty too…
A vicious tummy ache started. Bladder side. And I am now worried, as I was of writing this at 19:35 hours, it is still giving me some stick. Getting no easier, despite taking extra Peptac. This is not good. I fear the wrist alarm may have to be activated if it gets worse.

A MURDER INVESTIGATION AFTER A MAN WAS FOUND DEAD WITH STAB WOUNDS
Somehow headlines like these in Nottinghamshire shock us less and less.
As usual for the Nott’s Police, out goes an appeal for anyone who caught the scene on their car cams. Anyone passing by noticed anything unusual.
CCTV, dash-cam footage.
It appears the Police have arrested a woman and are questioning her.
I wonder if it was what they call a domestic?
Will a lawyer be building a defence at this moment?
Wife beating? Mental Stress, did the man drink at all or take drugs?
Whichever, the Parole Board will free them early.
Arrived and did the medications. didn’t stay to make sure I took the Peptac. Didn’t do any tap checks or take the waste bag with him. I know I’m right about this; because the bag was still there in the hallway, and… when I went to wash the Peptac pot…
I FOUND THE HOT WATER TAP I’d left RUNNING. Hot water, stone cold. Mess on the floor and counter. Not my day, is it?
20:25hrs: Got a text message coming in on my mobile. Which depressed me so much.
Just like the messages from Amazon started. False promises? They went on for five weeks after the assured delivery date.
I thought with George-Asda offering a one-day delivery for an extra £4.95 or whatever it was, would assure me of getting a shower and shave and having something clean to wear, like a dressing gown. So I paid up, full of confidence in the superior service of Georges…
After waiting in all day with no TV on so I could hear the intercom buzzing when the delivery arrived. (Yes, I still thought it would arrive. What a burke!
I spent hours fighting off and falling asleep. Then the stomach ache started, and Carer Ty failed to do the tap-running checks. I found after he’d gone, I’d left the hot tap running again, a mess to clean up – Ah, all that bending might have started the stomach off? I wonder if the dressing gowns will come with the Asda food order in the morning?
Arrived for the last short safety checks and gave me a Paracetamol to counter the tummy pains. Which I do believe are getting less severe now? A little natter and treats selected, at my insistence. ♥

Another punk who can’t hold his beer. Chittock; is a suitable name for a Shithead wino.
What a cowardly bully he obviously is.
Blaming things on his drinking, thus getting the sympathy of the port drinking judges, judging by the pathetic sentence they gave this animal?
Now we await the Parole Boards scumbag’s decision to free Chittock early on licence. Will he do a year, even?
Well, I can’t get a wash and shave, no hot water.
But I can get down in the second-hand, £300, charity shop bought, crumb-retaining, microorganism-microbe-producing, gungy, moth-eaten, beige-coloured, non-working, bacillus encouraging, blown-up testicle-squashing incommodious, Haemorrhoid Harold testing, c1968 recliner, and pray for sleep. So, I did!
Gave up and made a meal. A can of Chilli-con-carne, with some roast vegetable sauce, added. I heated two cobs in the oven and had a pot of the soya lemon yoghourt.
Very nice, too. Taste: 7.4/10.
I was just nodding off and chimed out, and the late safety-check Carer called. I’d forgotten about that!
It was . Nice to see her. Told her about the stomach cramps, and she gave me a Paracetamol with the Peptac. Selected a treat, and I went with her to lock the front door as she left.
Sleep came quickly enough, but yet again, the jumping awake throughout the night pestered me.
Best as I could recall, it would have been about five o’clock when I went to put the kettle on to make a Welsh brew of Glenghetti tea.
This Ode writ to show yer the wee-wee rate today!
While doing the brewing, A mug of tea ensuing, The bladder continued bubbling… Took one photo. and off for a peeing, Washed, back to photographing, Tea had done brewing… Got out the milk & off for a wee-weeing! Out of the wet room singing…
Forgot the tea, did the binning,.
Ah, the tea, which was now freezing,
Still, it didn’t matter to me.
Weeing, It was not free-flowing…
I could be in the shit; you see! Hehe
Ouzzat!Back-Down to High-Normal!
And, I not long since when taking the shower shaving routine, that my right hanging-sack is swollen and so tender. Humph! I presume from the effects of the urine infection or whatever it is. As the wee-wee rate was dropping. The swelling and pain started coming and still getting worse. Typical, I get an appointment, then find that I can’t get an Easy-Link bus; the poor devils are out of volunteers. It’ll be dodgy on the buses, but I’ve no choice. Finding it a lot harder to see things now, like traffic, walls, kerb, and bus stops, and have to manoeuvre around the 3-wheeler walker trolley. Do you know, I’m genuinely nervous about going out, not being able to see or hear.
About 45 wee-wees later, I’d stopped drinking before going to the doctor and got things ready to go. But if the Carer is any later I may miss the bus… “I may miss the bus!”! You may not believe the farce that took place… However, by way of a cheer, the had developed what a work of an art form is. I felt like it must be a label or something that could be pulled off? Off course, in my condition, there was no way I could reach it anyway – and should I have tried, my right onion bag would have likely burst as I swashed it, getting down to it. Not to mention the agony it would have given me. Hehehe! Believe me, it gave me plenty of chance for the odd Argh! Winching & cursing throughout the day and night! Arrived, and I asked him if he could help me with getting the does on, Or to be more precise, fasten the velcro on them. TY was happy enough to do that for me. I waffled too much, and the lad forgot to give me the second Omeprazole table, my fault. Treats selected in, on my insistence, thanks. Took the waste bag with him as he left. I wandered of again there, sorry. Now, it was now up to me to get to the bus on time. And I did too! My left side lips gave a slight curl upwards. Initially, I did, but the Swaggering blossomed.
I caught the 40 bus to go down Winchester Street, get off on Mansfield Road, and catch another bus into Carrington, where the Sherrington Park Medical thingamabob is. When a lady got on who I’d not seen for ages, I started a chinwag with her. As she got to get off, I realised that we were on top of Mapperley Plains Activated, and I got off with her but could not catch her up. I was in a mental flap of sorts, concerned about being late for the appointment. This kindest lady came to me and asked me if I was alright. I explained my big , and she asked if she could call a taxi for me. Bless Her! And she did. A taxi arrived in about three minutes and put the trolley walker in the boot and me in the back, and we were soon arriving at the surgery. Phew! There was a decent wait to be seen. Which told me I’d got the timing wrong again. I was proven right later on when the Doctor mentioned how early I had arrived. Tsk!
I told doctor Vindla of wee-wees, how painful they were and only the off sprinkle coming out. Off t the treatment room And she had a look ot the bladder and Shot up the backside to have a feel around. I felt that one! Then something long and cold. I didn’t ask.
Two Meridian gals… I think Tina and Jodie came in as I was sat sitting at the computer, trying to resettle the giant-sacked ball whatsit between my legs. The legs also grew greatly today? I fear that the photographs I took while out, fifteen of them, many never made it to the SD Card. A message something like ‘This photo cannot be viewed’ showed on the Lumix screen. Huh!
The FARCICALISATIONAL began. I got wrapped up well, remembered the Sample tube thingy, filled, of course. Hehe! I got to the public bus stop, and other tenants joined us there. And a bus arrived within minutes. I got into the vehicle with no injuries, got sat down and off we went. My mind was concerned at that time about what and how I was going to explain my symptoms to the Doctor. (I would have checked my notes written earlier… but they were in the living room back at the flat. We arrived at the next stop, and a lady and gent got on. It’s been so long since I saw them since I don’t get out much, and I greeted them like family and launched into questioning them about how they were getting on. The lady said she was sorry, but they were getting off at the next bus stop. Then a sickening feeling filled my stomach, with a self-hating mode coming on when I realised where we were, going in the opposite direction. I’d got on the wrong bus! I alighted with the pair, and not a full mode, but it soon became one when I realised the problem I was going to have to get to the surgery on time now.
I crossed the pelican lights to the other side, but none of the buses went to Carrington from there. (I wondered at that moment if this was a suitable name for EasyLink to use) But did not blame them; I more cursed my own luck and Dementia Doreen! This very kind lady came to me (I supposed I must have looked worried?) and asked if I was alright. I briefly explained my cock-up, and asked if there was a taxi place nearby. Bless her. She got on her mobile and ordered a car from DG for me. This arrived within three minutes and five more, and we were pulling up at the Sherrington Park Surgery. The sun came out as I paid my dues.
Whoever the lady was To whoever the lady was who helped dave the appointment for me. ♥
I got inside, and when I logged in, the lady in reception pointed to the chairs. (Doctoresse at this surgery for Please take a seat) Which in many ways was such a comfort; because it meant I was not late.
With how the eyes were, there was no point in taking the crossword book (although I meant to, I just forgot to, Ahem!)
I looked through every leaflet on the walls, and there was no shortage, but there were only about four with print big enough to read.
I sat for about twenty minutes: Not easy sitting, you know! When one of your man bits is three times the size of the other one, without trapping or sitting on it. Well, impossible, actually!
Dr Vindla came to me, smiling… that always scares me for some reason nowadays Hehe! The first thing she sails was, “You’re good and early today, Gerry. Let’s have you in…”
I’d got the appointment timing all mixed up again! Shouldn’t really be such a shock with my record, but so many in such a short space of time were worrying me a smidgeon.
I don’t suppose for one second that they bother my uninvited interloping brain resident, Dementia Doreen, do you think?
I’m surprised I don’t have a headache; I bet she’s in there amongst the confused brain cells, throwing a party. or maybe having a revelrous-celebratory knees-up with Alto-Ego?
I wonder how long it will be until my grip weakens so much that I will not care anymore? Just a thought. Well, at the moment, anyhow. Back to the surgery… I strayed well off-topic again there; sorry. I told the Doc all about my four sleepless nights and the mushrooming, three-time it’s usual size tender right bit in my men’s department. I can’t be certain, but I thought I detected a little wry-smile creep into her expression. It was off into the examination room for me with her. She got me positioned and ready for her to delve into certain orifices. She said; I’m going to have a feel… (By gum, that took me back in time, Hahaha!) a feel of your Prostrate, which she did. I just lay there in bliss for a minute. Then, another delve into the rear quarters, I sensed a bit of squelching, and then Dr Lona said something, but I didn’t hear what she said clearly.
Back in her room, then spoke again. She has sent an email to the chemist, which I can fetch now, for some MacroBid antibiotics. Do I did. But not until Dr Vindla gave me an appointment with the Nurse – I nearly got excited then. Haha! It’s with Nurse Lisa. For 30th December at 10:30hrs. I wish I’d asked what it was for, not hearing her tell me earlier, but by now, no-doubt Doreen was back in action, making sure that any signs of contentment, peace, or understanding had no chance in hell of maturing. She’s good at that.
For some reason unknown to me why this is the moment that what I thought was a swollen and painful right testicle started to turn into a really swollen and agonising pain-giving testicle! No idea what caused this, but as the day went on, in the morning, typing this, it got worse. I really am in the shit now, and have to walk to the chemist and then catch two buses to get home! A daunting challenge, that daunted me! Argh! Got to the chemist, collected the prescription, and had to decide whether to walk into Sherwood or use the bus. Not an easy decision. (Well, none are for me nowadays)
I knew that on the bus, there would be no chance of avoiding injury to Spanish Onion Henry. (I christened him that as I give names to all my ailments) Well, he feels that size, you see, to me. Hehehe!
Knowing that I had to catch the bus from Sherwood. No way would Spanish
Onion Testicle Henry have coped with walking up the steep hill; I decided it would be easier to walk into Sherwood.
There was only one really near-bothersome that happened en route.
When I was passing some of the brand-new Escotters on the kerbside. (Putting them in that spot must tempt the scallywags to use them on the road, surely?)I had the above thought (Oh, yes, I have thought every now & then, Why I recall having one in Made 1968). I had a few seconds scary . BY Gawd, SOSTH didn’t half sting for a bit. Good job, I didn’t go over. Anyway, I made a tag for him cause I see no signs of him getting any smaller.
Caught the bus in Sherwood back up to the flats and got inside, and must say, although I thought at the time, was painful, it was going to get a lot worse.
I dare not sit down at the computer at first for fear of inflaming SOSTH. So, I got the kitchen floor mopped. A pathetic effort, but it made me feel better for trying.
Then. Tina and Sam or Jodie from Meridian called. To tell me, Richard has spoken with them, and she has worked hard to get the NCC to allow some extra care time and arrange for the laundry to be done at no extra cost. She’s also trying to arrange for Richard – or another carer to go with me on Thursday to the Coppice hospital. That is a worry less; if it’s Richard, the hospital tells me it must be someone that can accurately answer questions about how I have changed in personality. Richard is the only one who can do that. I do appreciate them trying for me. ♥
After this, I honestly don’t know what occurred until the evening Carer arrived. It was not a good visit, a tension in the air as I recall. I was not given the new double dose of Omeprazole. The Peptac server was left on the carer’s table. And the waste bags were not taken. But I still offered him a treat in thanks. It may have been me talking too much again.
Shortly after the Carer left, my body closed down after I’d taken my third wee-wee in an hour. I . Woke at about 03:30hrs and was soon back in the c1966, £300, second-hand charity-shop bought, crumb-containing, odour-retaining, Harold’s Haemorrhoid-testing, nauseatingly beige coloured, non-working, virus-breeding recliner again, after taking a wee-wee. Great, only four awakenings all night to use the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee-Bucket). A record that!
Yet another sleepless night for the old man! Men’s Day UK as well! If any non-man is interested, I’ll be in all day, should you want to pop over. Oh, never mind then! Hehe!
Just after midnight, I was finishing off the Friday blog, and I decided to make a mug of Glengettie tea and dunk some of the Biscoff caramelised biscuits. Take a break, you know? It didn’t quite work out like that. Nothing unusual in that for me… but this time, the mess I made of it is worthy of mentioning. Mayhap they could make a comedy series out of it. Humph! I may as laugh about it now… Although I didn’t at the time, though! Here goes, “Inchie decides to make some tea…” ⓿ Took the cold mug of tea to the kitchen, put the kettle on, washed the mug, warmed it and got the Glengettie tea bag ready to use. All without any hassle… ❶ Kettle boiled, made the mashing, stirred it well left it to brew. As I turned around to check that I’d not left the tap running, my sleeve caught the cup as Pete shook the right arm. ❷ The mug travelled via my dressing gown and jammies and hit the most painful area available, smack onto my Bouncing against the bottom of the cupboard, and broke into several pieces. ❸ The hot water began to seep through my thick jammies, and I had to remove them sharpish! However… ❹ I rushed at it, well, I had to… and lost my balance as I lifted the second leg out of the jammie bottoms… ending up with a thud and on my backside on the wet floor! ❺ I had to crawl on all fours into the computer room to use the recliner to haul myself back up on my feet. During which… ❻ I knocked a bottle of Spring water off of the ottoman. It didn’t break or spray or even leak… but it did land on my other damned !!! ❼ When I got painfully up onto the plates again, my balance was all over the place, but I managed to limp, hobble and carefully get back to the kitchen to clean up the broken crockery and mop the floor. ❽ Trying to clean a floor and manipulate the mop and bucket, as well as using Metal Micky to keep your balance, is no mean feat! And I managed to stub a toe, Twice cleaning up the mess! In fact, a . ❾ I coped somehow, got the bucket & mop back in the wet room, and I made my way to the medications on the Carer’s table. I struggled to get the Germolene onto my toes and took two Codeine 50g tablets to ease the pain. ❿ I decided it was time to sit quietly for a while. I knew that sleep would not be an option. And for a couple of minutes, I sat there with my eyes closed, and the started! ❶❶ Then, just when I was getting over the scares, fears and worries, the kicked in. I just had to get up and check that I’d not left any taps running or puddles of tea to slip over… After checking in the wet room and kitchen, I seemed to be getting unbothered by how things had gone. It was, I imagine, what taking drugs is like, I became light-headed and unnaturally almost carefree? This lasted for about half an hour or so. I was back on the computer, and I was doing so well with the typing. I knew where the icons and hidden assist were without having to check in the book I made of them for CorelDraw… I was starting the graphics to use in the Health Checks. Then it was as if some git turned off the light in my head; everything returned to confusion and memory blanks. I think the outside graphic box specification, which I’d used ten minutes earlier, and found I had no idea how to get at it again?
I must get someone to phone one of the Help Line numbers given to me by the Nuthall Hospital; Just to talk to someone who might know and understand the problems that bring with her. To know that others struggle too… Oh, I don’t know…
I’ll stop now and give the blogging a break. It’s getting more stressful every day, but much worse this morning, of course knocking the mug of Glengettie over, burning your own belly and legs, making and having to sort out a mess, twice stubbing one’s ingrowing toenails after dropping the mug on one of them… and having to face Esther on Monday, having no warm dressing gown to put on now… may have contributed to my current . Did you see that? The Thought Storms are coming from my fingers now as I type!
What was I going to do? Ah, I’ll get the done. A stand-up job, of course. /it’s far too early to use the noisy shower and disturb my neighbours. Ah, well, I’m sick of hearing myself complain Hi-Ho, it’s off to the wet room I go, then… I faffled about getting some clothing to get into after the ablutionalisationings were all done and dusted with. Took me a while to get the socks I required, I knew in the cubby-hole I had a few pairs of the long black bamboo diabetic socks. But the other day, Esther put some socks in there after doing the laundry and mixed up my organised layout, and all the footwear was mixed up.
Of course, I got all the short socks together to move back to the front left and showed her skills, and I dropped all eleven pairs! Having to keep bending started off… it was too late by then, but I went and got a picker upperer to use. Which separated the paired socks, and then I had to sort them back into sets and get them back in the cubby hole. Took the shirt, trousers and the nearly dried but partially damp tea-covered dressing gown to the airer in the hall and got the others into the wet room. It was when I was brushing my teeth that I realised I’d still not got the diabetic bamboo sock from the cubby hole. That was the first of the three bleeding incidents during the ablution session; I rushed to get the teeth finished, and the blood flowed from the last broken tooth. Out of the lovely warm heater-on-full wet room, into the cold rubbish room, and got the bamboo socks. No sleep, nothing much gone right… I was getting het-up again! And it was so cold out there in the other room. Got the saving started; I used the four-bladed razors, thinking it would be quicker. Then, I changed to a two-blader to shave the back of the neck
As I looked in the shaving mirror, there appeared to be a blood flow from somewhere at the back? I got the camera out to try and see what it was by photographing as best I could to look at the viewer. But I could not locate the source of the blood. Cunningly (and stupidly), I dabbed some Brut aftershave on toilet paper as far as I could reach around my neck. That solved the issue! Boy, did I jump! But it did the job and stopped the flow. Then, seconds after checking on the annoyingly bothersome scab from last Wednesday’s burnt finger, got knocked off against the seat raiser corner… I believe I may have used some naughty language at this stage, as the blood ran down my leg and foot onto the wet room floor. Luckily I still had loads of toilet paper to hand from using it on the tiny-teeny-weeny little nick on the back of my neck shaving.
The leg’s DVT spider and saphenous vein look rather artistic this morning. They were bulging or swollen with it today, though so little snippets of good news are welcome here in the Woodthorpe Court mental institute.
After medicating various delicate areas and using the talc’ and the roll-on deodorant, it was time for the big challenge. Getting the knee-high bamboo socks on without using sock glide, Glenda! I feared for my newly opened-up scab on the finger… There is no way I could risk Glenda nipping, trapping or squashing it. I was dubious of my ability to get these extra-long socks on without Glenda, but I was determined to – if I could! It was a mixed-result session. I banged my head and then my arm against the door as I got my bulbous-shaped body into the corner of the room. Not sure how I managed to do it, but I stayed on my feet? Naturally, a . I’d still have to get the PP’s and trousers on; getting them on is not exactly a walk in the park nowadays. Well, the long socks and PPs were on; I then tackled the jumper and trousers. Huh! Easy-peasy!
I’ve not done the Health checks yet. So, I will!
Well, the body temperature result was most pleasing.
The Blood Pressure was surprising to me anyway, up back in the Hypertension – 2 Red areas? What? Why? How?
The Sys was only 138. in the green as well. Ah, the DIA was well up on yesterday’s 82 at 92, wasn’t it? Mmm! Fair enough, then.
The Pulse was high as well.
Ah! You win them all, can you? Well, I can’t, anyway. Hehehe!
I’d better get back on the computer and make a start on finalising the Friday blog. Not too much to do with it, being as I didn’t get to sleep, and I seemed to be in a virtually virulent mood in my work last night. Virulent? I’ll check to see if that’s the right word. Apparently, it was the wrong word. I’d love to remember which word I was thinking of using in the first place. Methinks the concentration is already crumbling. I must try to get caught up with some sleep.
08:30hrs: Burst forth in tune. And Carer Chirpy Charley bounced into the room. In a rush, she was late.
Got the medications sorted out. We had a mini-natter, treats were given in thanks, and off Charley flew.
For some reason, possibly induced and prompted by , I thought it was evening, and followed Charley to the door and locked it, as I should at night. Although, the key-safe; is still unopenable to the carers and me? Which could prove fatal if I have another strike and no one can get in to rescue my muscular-ripped, tall, athletic body after a tumble or stroke?
I must mention this to ILC, Tightrope-walker, and Warden this Monday. Oh! Also, I must ask her to read the multi-paged leaflets and instructions from the Coppice Hospital I have to digest. But the important bit is the things I have to take with me, the time etc. Not to mention I have to arrive ‘Not Late – but no earlier than 5-minutes? And to book an Easy-Link lift.
There is a list of about five organisations, that I may use to ask for help over the long waiting period for the hospital appointment. I need help on which one to use cause I feel I do need support over this. The print on the paperwork is just too small for me to read. It’s no wonder that Deana is ducking & diving from me, and I can’t get to talk to her. Hahaha!
I realised I should not have locked the door when Carer Charley left, and I went to put things right.
Found two bags of rubbish that had not been taken to the chute for me. I told you she was in a rush tonight… I mean, this morning.
Well, would you believe it? Liberty-Global’s $23.7 million salaried boss, Mr Fries, has failed to get a connection to Nottingham yet once again! I wonder if he still gets his annual bonuses and expense account? I mean, good luck to him. How many incompetent smoke and mirror men and number-crunchers like him get can earn so much for failing miserably? No wonder he told the UK Virgin people to never mention Liberty-Global to any customers when they ring in to complain… is it? No good; I’m going to try blogging again later, Mr Fries.
I’ll get some nosh and try to get some precious sleep caught up with. Fingers crossed! Oh, food first!
Warmed two part-baked bread rolls in the oven, and I cooked a microwave oven- ready-meal in the microwave. No problems with the timing, and they were both ready at the same time (9-minutes). One of the mini-pots of lemon-flavoured yoghourts. Atr it slowly, enjoying every forkful and spoonful! 9.15/10, Flavour! Of course, I added some vegan BBQ sauce to the vegetables and gravy. Washed the pots, and I got down in the recliner.
Into a deep sleep that was, I believe, unbroken. It felt like I had been resting peacefully for many hours when roused me back into ersatz life. The tune rang out; it was Carer Ty. He was in a rush too. He said he’s had his mobile for three years; and had just dropped it and cracked the perspex, which annoyed the lad so, as is to be expected. I asked him to take the waste bags with him, “No problem!” Thanked him.
I got confused again and thought it was morning, but it was still night! I’m getting fed up with this scenario!
Got the medications and asked him if he could check the taps in the wet room and in the kitchen, along with anything left cooking in the oven. “No problem!” Thanked him. After he departed, I noticed that the bags were still there near the door. No taps were checked.Well, I said he was in a rush. Hehe!
As it was only about 20:00hrs, I took the bags to the waste chute. No finger trapping, toe-stubbing or walking into anything. Although when I bent down to retrieve the dropped Metal Micky, it was : As I was reaching down to grab the stick, a mini came on. It only lasted for literally a few seconds, but it could have been almost fatal had I gone over and hit my head on the heavy iron chute drawer. Still, I didn’t take a tumble as I thought I was going to. That was because of my cunning avoidance tactics! I leant into the nearest part of the wall, and as I did so, the involuntary leg dance stopped dead in its tracks. As I had to get back to the flat yet. Hahaha!
I mused over the two incidents where I became confused as to what time of day it was. This regularly seems to happen to me when I am woken up by either the doors , or when above starts his banging and clanging. My musing moved on to the Hospital appointments and the genuine fear of the Cataract operation, and the first Memory and Mentally-Affected assessments at the Nuthall Hospital will arrive on the same day. what are the odds of that? Not as high as you would think, knowing my luck. I tried to stop the mind-wandering and depressing moments of self-doubt and insecurity.
As I started to get deep into the quagmire of self-pity and self-hating, the started off in both lower legs. That really didn’t help at all. I massaged, and Phorpain gelled the legs, giving it plenty of energy and a good massaging. Of course, it didn’t help! So I took yet another extra Codeine, 30g. Else it may be the third night of no sleep if gets as nasty with me again. !
I started the routine again. Got down in the £300, bought eight years ago from the second-hand shop, Harold Haemorrhoid testing, repugnantly beige-coloured, crumb containing, virus-breeding, acne-giving, rickety, itch-producing, none-working recliner.
So, listen to this, you may not believe it, my maties: I woketh up and soon had it worked out that I’d been asleep for very nearly eight hours! EIGHT HOURS! Danged well staggering! I didn’t write the time on my memory pad, but it was almost light when I went to make a brew and take these two photos through the kitchen window. I didn’t make the tea after all and made for the wet room to get the Ablutionalisationing done. Collecting the clothes needed for afterwards, with me. The teeth-cleaning triggered , and it bled a fair bit. The shaving went well, just two teeny-weeny nicks, and they didn’t bleed much at all. At had to divert to the before getting into the shower. That didn’t go so well. A smidge messy, it seems that is making a fight out of it, for control of the evacuations with . He’s ahead at the moment, and a messy result that needed much cleaning up and disinfectioning. Amazingly one of the tiny on the neck started bleeding after I’d looffered the back. It reminded me of that Hotel horror movie. Hehehe! I wanted to take a photograph cause it did look scary with the blood swirling around the drain. But I hadn’t taken the camera in with me. Shame, that would have looked great in the blog!Tsk! Being as it was Saturday, I decided to put the jammies back on with the heavy dressing gown. No deliveries (I thought at the time), nurses, only the carers to come today. (How even I can forget that the Iceland order was being delivered today... Made a brew, did the and on the computer to feed the figures in the analyser a create the graphics. In the Red Hypertension – 1 zone again, but not too far away from the Amber. Content with this.
The Iceland man cometh I remembered he was coming the moment I saw that… I got the bags inside and sorted them out. I did wonder why I’d bought the Starbucks Coffee at first. But as I went on sorting the other stuff out, I remembered! It was on offer at very nearly half the normal price. So I thought I get some in, in case the carers or nurses like them. I may have made a mistake. If they do like them, I can’t afford to get any more at the full price, like.
But I can’t really see anyone liking them; cold coffee? Got the bottles of wine for Christmas pressies. Two items short, but no substitutes, so that was good. Bread and Vegan pie missing.
Arrived: it was during this visit that I had a mind-blank, I think. I know I was talking almost non-stop… or was I? Oh, I don’t know. Many hours later, I sort of came around a lot and found this was the only other photo on the SD card. Nothing concrete in the memory box, but maybe I was seeing this and thought about how active and fun-loving I was in those days. Or, maybe even proud of winning my first-ever angling cup fishing match award? Most likely, I was feeling guilty for fishing in the first place? I had been working on CorelDraw and Excel doing a blog. I had no idea what time it was, and as I turned to look at the clock… Came in. I reckon I was nattering away again. As Jodie was picking up the bags to leave, she said she could not get in the key safe. I went out to her, and we both tried again, but no luck. Must mention this to Deana or Julie.
I took some photos of the evening view.
Better check on the taps and stove. make sure I’ve not left anything that might be during my absence of awareness hours.
I tried catching up[ on the blogging. Spent a few hours at it and realised things were not going well.
Which brought to mind the appointment at the Mental Health place regarding Doreen Dementia. The address is confusing and long-winded; I’ll have a look at the Google map if I remember. Hazelwood House, The Coppice, Highbury Hospital, Highbury Road, Bulwell, Nottingham NG6 6DR. The bits of the letters and pamphlets I can read (and forget so easily). tell me: Bring your Medications, Eyeglasses & hearing aids. Wear a face mask. Use your own toilet before leaving home. Bring only one carer/relative with you. Bring your own drink if needed. You must arrive for your appointment early. Try not to be more than 5-minutes early. Use the hand-sanitiser on arrival. During your appointment, a hand sanitiser is to be used. Leaving Your Appointment: When finished, a member of staff will walk you through showing you the way out. I’ll have a look at the map now.
Not confident; I can’t find which reception I’ll need. Knackered now. No desire for food or drink.
Get my head down, I think. Hope I’m up to doing Josie’s meal in the morning.
Changed my mind as I was getting the jammies on. I needed a meal, after all.
I made up a meal that looked okay. But it wasn’t; I was not concentrating, methinks. The veggie burger and pastie were only warm at best. The sausages were undercooked. Taste: 3/10! Still, didn’t visit, so I had a good sleep for once.
04:30hrs: I can’t tell you I woke up cause I never got to sleep! Because I had For all night long! I was forever getting up to stretch the calves, massage them and dollop on and rub in the Phorpain Gel. And take painkillers. I meandered into the kitchen to get the kettle on for a mug of Glengettie tea. I took these photos from the window; in two different settings, and the second came out much better than the first one did. But can I remember which settings? Made a brew of the Glengettie, left the bag to marinate well, and I sorted out the waste bin bags. Had a wee-wee and cleaned and disinfected the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee-Bucket) To the computer with the tasty strong mug of black tea and photographed the calves; they were coming down, the carves were easing off now. As long as I do not spend too much time inactive, I hope they will stop twisting my legs. I can’t understand why they played up so much last night and just didn’t stop for about nine hours? However, they seem to have had a calming effect on the able ulcer; I could hardly see it this morning. Hey-Ho! Finished the tea… ah, now that might be a possible reason for the bad Cramps. I’d run out of Glengettie teabags and not had any for a day or two until they were delivered yesterday. And had drunk a number of mugs last night? But I’ve never heard of that before? I’ll look it up later.
I’ll get the Health Checks done. hopefully, the results will again be in the Amber Zone? We shall soon find out…
Back up again!
Still, it’s better than Wednesdays!
I set to getting the Thursday post done, and after half an hour, I could feel the cramps building up in the calves again. So, I had a walk around and did some stretching exercises, which seemed to work for me. Which reminded me to have a look on the web for tea and cramps. Back in a while…
What not to drink when you have cramps?
Carbonated drinks, caffeine, and aerated drinks should also be avoided during menstrual days because they have high levels of sugar in them, which can cause inflammation and make the cramps more severe.
No mention of tea there, then? I started reading another page, and it said: 13 more ways to stop period cramps. I moved on… I altered my queries to “What to drink when legs are cramping?” Black tea is safe to drink. When he switched to plain black tea, the symptoms disappeared within a week. The scientist who reported this case pointed out that the flavouring in Earl Grey tea is bergamot oil, which can block the movement of potassium in muscles. This can lead to muscle cramps and twitches. Well, Glengettie is black tea. So that should be safe, then.
Came in. She looked very tired, but I bored her with tales of my past Whoopsiedangleplops, which brought some smiles. She got the medications handed out. A can of the new Carer’s treat I got from Asda. Rum & Cola, with strawberry. And a choccy bar in thanks. Took the waste bag with her as she departed! I thank you!
I was making another brew of Glengettie, and Esther came in. she called int ogive me the change from the overpayment.
I’m going to get the ablutions done now… then get something to eat, and try to get caught up with some sleep… Pleeease! Sweet Morpheus!
I got sidetracked when I saw the wonderful evening sky from the kitchen window and decided they would be worth photographicalisationing. The hue was so different. Bootiful!
I stripped and put the clobber in the laundry basket, well, bag.
I got into the bathroom, and the ablutioning went well, other than two things.
❶ I managed to get several nicks shaving, and they were a devil to stop bleeding. (Possible Warfarin INR level low?) ❷ After it all was washed and medicated and dried... I did feel like l a fool… I came out and put trousers and day-wear on to go to sleep in!. So I had to changed back into the jammies! Tsk!
🍽️ I got the meal sorted out. That veggie minced beef & onion pie was gorgeous tasting! Brilliant vegan pastry. Potatoes, tomatoes, and a pot of the soya lemon yoghourt. My regulation issue of BBQ sauce added, of course. A well-worthy 8.2/10 for Taste-Rating. As I got into the aged, grotty-looking c1966 made, charity-shop-bought, horribly beige-coloured, £300, Harold’s Haemorrhoid-testing, non-operational, acne-giving, virus-breeding, rickety, easy-to-fall-out-of recliner, I think I felt the start of a visit from ! I offered a prayer to anyone or thing interested, not to have another agony-ridden sleepless night. Then thought it wise, to massage the legs. Dolloped some Phorpain gel and rubbed it in well, and I took two paracetamol. Got back down again. I’ve no idea if it really helped, but by Jimminee – once I got to sleep, I had the longest unbroken kip I’ve managed for years! (This should not be surprising, I suppose, considering last night’s total absence of sleep?) Damned nearly 8 hours before I woke up! Sleep at last!Grrreat!.
03:00hrs: I woke, but without the usual jump and or jerk? Not complaining, mind you. As I was manipulating the challenging struggle to get up on my feet, I got a little help to make me move faster… The rapidly getting urgent need of a wee-wee!As I approached the grey overnight bucket, it became apparent that I would also require using the Porcelain Throne. So, I went to the Porcelain Throne. Well, it seemed sensible! Boy, what a session! I’d got myself ready for the usual struggle to pass, got the crossword book out… Things started moving straight away! Smoothly, painlessly and bloodlessly! Yee-Ha!
Rinses and cleaned, and went out into the kitchen to get the kettle on.
Number One: I took these photos of the morning view as the water boiled, and I made a right mess of the first one. I didn’t think I’d even had any shakes, , and were not giving me any bother? But I still made a hash of it. Tsk! The second try came out a lot better, even if not like modern art, as the first one was. Hehe!
Then, as I was making the tea, there seemed to be water all over the countertop. At first, I thought the kettle was leaking. But after a quick inspection, I found nothing untoward there. The water seemed to be getting worse, so I got some paper towels and wiped it up. Then had, a look up to see if anything was coming down through the ceiling. Nope! number two: Eventually, it clicked. The slow cooker had been leaking, and I think must have made me miss a load of it from last night. Phew!
I got on the computer to update yesterday’s blog. Five hours later, had blanked out a lot of concentration, and blogging was a morning nightmare. If anything was forgettable, do-wrongable or losable, I did it. I had to take a break, so I did.
I pottered about in the kitchen; even in doing that, I started things and moved on to sorting something else with the first thing being finished. At one stage, I started to pour all the part bottles of disinfectants into an empties spray bottle. Then found I was placing a baking potato on the counter to cook later? What? Got back to the disinfectants and saw I had no bleach under the sink. I wandered around trying to remember where I put the bleach that was delivered on… erm… last week. Talk about confused! I got back to the disinfectants and mixed in the different types and scents with each other… at least judging by the smell of them later on. And I was happy doing them?
The light was coming early. Then again, I didn’t realise how late it was in the morning then – Confusion Conrad was in charge this morning.
These three photographs were taken, its a miracle they came out so well. Because my mind seemed to want to get back to sorting the cleaning bottles? Well, I thought they did.
Came in, the poor thing was yawning again. Hehe! Got the medications sorted, and as if something had clicked during this visit, my concentration began to return? We had a little natter about this and that. I insisted she takes a drink and nibble with thanks. She took the waste bags with her. ♥ Oh, I nearly forgot; I asked her to take a look at the dates on the Enoxaparin hypodermics. They are too small for me to read them. They were well out of date. Jodie said to tell Richard on Monday. So I will!
I got back to the computer, still not concentrating as I should, but better than earlier. It’s funny that; getting it back never happened so quickly before? I wished it had lasted for longer.
The noisy neighbour from above kicked off big time with his banging and clanging. The concentration was lost again. But I pressed on, not doubt missing many errors, and making more, I got the blog finished. Then made up an Ode for today and then one for tomorrow. I was feeling so tired suddenly. Then realised I’d not had much in the way of sleep again and had been up for over twelve hours already. I got the potato in the oven: it’ll be about an hour, I should think. Now I have to ensure I don’t fall asleep, and it burns.
I’ll try to get on the WP reader now. Ah! Not done the Health Checks – Next job then! Better late than never…
Not bad, down a little anyway!
The potatoes in the oven looked like a giant passion fruit when I took a look. Hehehe! I dished it and had the last two Sourdough cobs well-buttered. Cooked chestnuts, gherkin slices, red and orange tomatoes and all of the remaining mock bacon slices. Which were rather nice! Flavour: 8/10. I cleaned the pots, wee-wee’d washed, medicated the eyes, olive-oiled the ear-holes, and got down in the c1968, £300, second-hand charity-shop bought, crumb-containing, odour-retaining, Harold’s Haemorrhoid-testing, nauseatingly beige coloured, non-working, virus-breeding recliner. To watch the regular weekday ‘Heartbeat’ episode.
But: Can you believe what they did? The Swine at Channel ITV 10, on Freeview? They only took of the Heartbeat episodes! Gits! Scumballs! Have they no compassion or understanding of senile old fools who watch this programme? (Fair enough, I usually fall asleep when the averts come on). And what did unthinking twerps show in the place of the best TV series ever made? Horse Racing! My being lucky enough not to have any pathological gambling, compulsive gambling or other gambling disorders or interest, I looked up this race day: The Breeders’ Cup 2022 with Grade 1s each way you turn at the Kentucky venue. The year-end championship for North American Flat racing, it has attracted star horses from across the globe.
But at the cost of making many old farts in the UK sulk and even get annoyed at losing their ‘Heartbeat’ to watch.
I am aware that in our block of flats where will have several senior-aged ‘Born Gamblers’ who will welcome horse racing. Good for them! Gambling is classed as an impulse-control disorder. It is included in the American Psychiatric Association (APA’s) Diagnostic and Statistical Manual, fifth edition (DSM-5). Problem gambling is harmful to psychological and physical health. Ha!The gambling-addicted lads and lasses in our apartments look fitter and happier than I am! Mind you, they all have ticks, smoke and drink!
Good luck to them, I say. A man with my luck cannot dare risk gambling, so I’m safe from one addiction, at least. Hahaha!
I’ve forgotten what I was on about now… Oh, yes, ITV Channel 10 removing Heartbeat. The Swine!
chimed out and came in. He looked a lot less tired tonight. Nice lad. We had a decent chinwag after he’d done the medications. Selected a cold can of orange juice from the fridge by way of thanks and took the waste bags to the bin on his way out.
I resettled in the £300, bought eight years ago from the second-hand shop, Harold Haemorrhoid testing, repugnantly beige-coloured, crumb containing, virus-breeding, acne-giving, rickety, itch-producing, none-working recliner. Sleep did come easier this time, but t was dream-filled crap again.
Three hours later, I burst almost nervously wide awake to find myself needing the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee-Bucket), with a lot of PMAD (Post-Micturition-After-Dribbling) following the main event.
That did it, of course. I tried but could not get back to sleep. Humph!
04:45hrs: I returned to the land of the limitation living. At the same instant, I required the attention of the . So did the balance exercises (that sounds so good, dunnit? Ha-Ha! They take about 30 seconds. Caught my balance, put the slippers on, grabbed Metal-Mickey, and started to go to the wet room? Blimey, the toes were tender this morning!
The evacuation was as soft as grease. No bleeding, and Harold’s Haemorrhoids were not stinging too much. I decided, as I often do on a morning when the Throne is needed so early, to get the ablutions done. And the went exceptionally well, so much so that a . One cut shaving… did you read that? Grrreat! Only the situation was of any real hurt. Mind you, I do have two of them, Humph! The fear is that will join in later on. She’s been a right nuisance these last three days.
I got Carer Richards bit on the server top; I just got the stuff from the fridge added to them later. Made a brew of Thompson’s Punjana tea and got the computer on. I was updating the Sunday blog but got another summoning to the Off to the wet room, carefully. I must avoid any stubbed toes now the ingrowing nails have started. What a difference this session! It was only 45 minutes ago when I last sat on the Throne. But this time, the evacuation was reluctant. And it needed much forceful input on my behalf to get it started. Once the bomb started escaping, it gathered great speed, hitting the water, splashing some water up my bum! As I stood to inspect the results, Hehehe! The main thing on my concentration was the pain from the toes – which soon changed. Temporary Boy had it bled! I was concerned about where the blood came from. An inspection, a blind one of course, of the rear end using the kitchen towels, and it soon became apparent that it was , but not the usual deep red, so I assumed it was the internal ones that copped for the tearing treatment? Certainly set off the stinging again. Washing myself afterwards and , the absence for the best part of a day, kicked off. That was when I realised that Harold’s externals were torn as well… Either that or I cut them when I started performing, Which raised an interesting question; Why can’t I wipe my bottom with the left hand? I’m a lefty at writing? Just a thought, like. Finished up and went back to the computer.
The snotty neighbour from above started his banging, and I replied each time with a bang back on the top of the high bookcase. Childish, I know.
Oh, I forgot to put the photos of the early morning view on the blog. So, here they are.
How does the saying go? Red sky in the morning, Shepherds Warning – Red Sky at night, Shepherds Delight.
Arrived, and he was making out things were not too bad when I inquired if his status. But the lad was coughing, sneezing and yawning an awful lot this morning. He’s got an extra call to make. Hehe!. I told of Fridays happening in the wind and rain, the Vampire foot girl cutting two of my ingrowing nailed toes, etc. But I gave him the short version, or I might have lost him as he fell asleep.
He left his treats until the next day. Took the three bags of waste to the chute and then returned to say a fond farewell to me. Bless him; he looked all done in.
I got the started. The figures returned were similar to yesterday. The body temperature was climbing again. SYS 168, DIA 77. Pulse was still pretty high at 89.
I made an addition to the Blood Pressure Chart. I put a caricature of me using with a paintbrush on it. Just for fun! Another day all in the Red Zone. This time back up to Hypertension Red – 2. It’s not looking good. When I went to the doctor in error last week, I mentioned this High Blood Pressure to Doctor Vindla. She didn’t answer, speak or acknowledge that I was there. At least she’s consistent nowadays. Tsk! I was going to mention Doreen Dementias’ part in my life. But what was the point? Then I finally got the blog sent off to WordPress. Made a start proper on this blog and; started on me again. Just as I feared she may. With Anne Gyna, and then when I stand or move bothersome ingrowing toenails, I don’t think I could handle anymore at the same time. This is bad.
At about 15:00hrs, an alarm went off, but only for a few seconds. It sounded to my ears as if it was in this room. But if it was the fire alarm for the flat, I’d have heard that, alright.
And her stabbing pains are getting more severe all the time.I’ll see how it goes but I may dial 111 if she doesn’t ease up soon. I took a Codeine; that might help… or burst the duodenal ulcer. Fed up? Me? Hehehe.
Oh, Testicles! I took some formatted frame text from CorelDraw to the blog – and lost everything when CorelDraw crashed. My language was sickening; I was so angry with myself!!! Grumbling, sulking, cursing… Grrr! It took me over an hour to get it back on track. Then another two hours to get the photographs I prepped for the blog back on from the SD again. Then I start to doctoring them again. and !
What felt like a week later, I got caught up. As if to spoil my pleasure, started again, but at least she gave me a small break… or the CorelDraw disaster may have taken my mind off of her? Then:
So, I’m going to get something to eat, the evening carer will be here in a while. I got some chestnut mushroom on the boil. Added liquid smoke and salt and simmered them for ages. Then got the sausages
