Inchy: Wednesday 2nd August 2023 – Defeatism, Vexation and Penitency!

I gave up trying to sleep at 05:05hrs and shuffled to the edge of the c1966, £300 pound, second-hand charity-shop bought, crumb-containing, odour-retaining, Harold’s Haemorrhoid-testing, nauseatingly beige coloured, non-working, virus-breeding recliner, to reach down to remove the detach. But it wasn’t there! I was so tired last night, I thought it had been put on…

This left me with a heavily full urine day bag that dropped with some alacrity the moment I’d grabbed . This caused a certain amount of pull on poor Little , via the inserted catheter tube that tried to do a runner. Obviously, a man of my calibre winced-not at the agony. I can endure and tolerate such minor mishaps with ease. I did not flinch, swear or cry out ‘Arrgh!’ at all over the trifling matter. No forlornness or glumness from me.
Off to sort out the day pouch in the wet room. The rumblings from within, made me adopt the use of the toilet seat with some haste. And there I sat, with the crossword book for ages.
CW01bNothing other than large doses of wind were evacuated.
Hehehe!
The urine in the day bag was the darkest it’s been for a while.

To the kitchen and I took these terrible photos…
of the heavy rain.
Then onto the balcony to see how the mudslide was.
Sizeable, cause it wasn’t raining much yesterday.

Did the waste bins sorting, and made a mug of tea, I later regretted having one of the two allowed so early.

Carer Shaquille arrived. Checked out the new eye treatments, the and . He could read the small print, and Chris & I could not last night. I thought it was four times a day for the Spray, and two for the Gel, but it’s the other way round. He did the eyelids like a professional. Sorted out a new day pouch and fitted it, too.
Thanked him muchly and off he went on his rounds.

Got the computer on, and what a surprise.

I had a safety check around the flat when I got back, and the internet was on again. It must have been off for about only 15 minutes. Please don’t tell, the owner of Mr Fries of . It might upset him if he knows.

The Iceland delivery arrived.
Just after I took this later view of the oddly shaded sky.

.
Carriers taking into the kitchen for me by the driver. Thanks!
.
Fresh foods
.
& Frozen Foods… I’d got them put away, and returning to the computer, I espied the laundry had not been unpacked and hung up. So, I unpacked it & got it hung up!
All three dressing gowns had their sleeves inside out. The shirt and belts took a lot of untangling, too.
But I got it done, and back on the computer.

ILC (Independent Living Coordinators), Oberstgrüppenfuhreress, Warden and Primo Ballerina, Warden Deana came in. Bless her cotton socks. Hearing of my failure to get some cotton pads for using the gel on the eyes, yesterday; she had found a pack at home, and had brought it for me to have! ♥

Then Domestic Assistant Denise arrived. We had… well, I had a natter while she was working. Nice gal.
Back on the computer…
Fancy that!

I titivated the laundry and started a new bag, by into a clean dressing gown. As Denise was about to leave, doing her paperwork, Carer Kara arrived for her weekly financial guidance visit. Be lost without that gal.
As I was leaning forward to take a closer look at some mail she had gathered from the letter box – How can I put it? The catheter tube seemed to twist of its own accord! A little blood was found when I inspected things in the lower regions. I went off to the wet room and got things cleaned up. No idea how it happened? And this caused me to get confused with so many visitors, and my concentration bit the dust for a while.

Kara tried to ring Age UK about two letters sent to me. It took her a long time to get through the automated system in place. When she did, she was told to ring back later on 28th August? Kara was baffled as I was at this?

Then she rang PayPal, which ware suddenly unobtainable. No joy with phoning them. But she knew the problem, they had the wrong mobile number for me. She will try to find a way to contact them for me.
What a crazy day!

I used the Deana-gifted eye pads to gel the eye.

Before the rain returned, the sky was wonderful.
The Citrus Way car park.

I got the nosh tended to.
Photoed it when ⅔rds of the way through eating it, and Carer Chris called on me. I was just about to watch ‘Heartbeat’ as well on the goggle-box.
Although I was keenly aware that I would fall asleep at the first set of commercials, as per usual. I was well drained by then, and could not hear a lot that Chris was saying to me, as he seemed to find it hard to understand what I was saying. It was a bit surreal, really. He said he was doing the last call later. I finished the meal in between medication taking.
Put the tray on the Carers desk, and had to get up when Chris had gone, to empty the .

As expected, I nodded fitfully off when the commercials came on. I took the plate and cutlery and put it in the sink, with baking soda, bleach and washing-up liquid, to soak and free the gunge from the oven tray.

Very early last call from Carer Chris, about 08:35hrs as I recall. The chime rang out and in rushed Chris. He almost forgot to put the night pouch on, but amazingly I remembered to ask him. Off like a shot the lad perused his other duties, I told him to take a treat-can or bottle with him.

Sleep was no longer an option; all this being woken up breaks the pattern methinks? Laying there waiting for to return… and !!! I suddenly feared that I had left the washing in the sink with the hot water tap running – and found that I had!
No hot water for a late-night shave! I was going to have one cause I couldn’t get to sleep!
Change of plans, then!
I took this photograph of the moody-evening sky.
Bootiful!

I clambered back down in the £300, second-hand, musty, Haemorrhoid Harold Testing, cringingly beige, crumb-covered, not-working, rickety recliner.
It must have taken hours for Sweet Morpheus to enfold me. None of the , which I thought would do in my sleep again, as it has for several nights now. It was so easy to nod off… but it felt like every time I did, I was jumping awake within minutes, repeatedly!

Humph!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Waking up, I was tremendously resistant to the thought of trying the computer.
As I took off night bag, I was not concerned about anything other than ‘Will the computer work?’ After yesterday’s performance with the mystery ‘Process thingummybob’ for eleven hours, I felt it might be the end for the Bang & Olufsen. My heart was not in what I was doing, and I feared the worst. I was resisting any activity apart from removing the night bag. However, the need for the was getting urgent, and the bubbling and grumbling from ruled innards forced me into action… reluctantly.

Deserved a ‘Medal-of-Muckiness’. Splattery, phooey, sloppy, and the last lb of it did not want to evacuate.
So 15-20 minutes passing and cleaning up was followed by ten minutes fetching and carrying water from the kitsch to the bathroom, three trips needed.

Got the waste bags sorted out, the computer was about to be put on, and the Carer arrived. Got me medicated, and as she left, it was back to the for me! Not so messy, but three trips, well six come think of it, were needed. This time, BPB kicked off Summat rotten and has been a bother ever since up to now. Then, believe it or not, the started on me! Then I found that poor Little Inchies . And I had to find out if the computer worked yet – that bothered me more than anything else.

The computer started, looking good, then the risk of going onto Firefox. Dang gang, dwang,,, Dwang! I got the browser on, and nothing was opening… was it Firefox or the Internet. A quick look at the Liberty-Global Virgin box revealed that it was indeed due to the $26 million a year plus guaranteed bonus’s boss of Liberty-Global, Mr Fries, inability to send a signal to Nottingham that had caused my current dilemma.
Well, fancy that, Liberty-Global Internet going down. It’s not done it since yesterday as well! Utter (overcharging) Rubbish! Still, the oligarch is good-looking. Jealous? Me? Yes!

I made the first brew of Glengettie of the day while awaiting Liberty-Global to reinstate the overcharged-for-crap service to the flats.
I was surprised at how dark it still was when I took this snap of the view through the kitchenette window.
$26 million a year plus guaranteed bonus Mr Fries, Liberty-Global service had not yet returned.
Not that I was too bothered, I had to visit the for the third time. 6 more trips with the water and BPB is even more painful!

Aha, Mr Fries, $26 million a year plus a guaranteed bonus paid, the boss of Liberty-Global – Virgin Media had got the signal working again. Well done to that number-crunching oligarch! Hehehe! I’d just taken these blue photos. The mist is not clearing yet.

FINGERS CROSSED – I OPENED FIREFOX!
Yee Gawd, it seems to be working again?.
.

Sister Jane rang me. The line was breaking up badly, and I was struggling to catch most of what she said. Then the next Carer rang the bell.
I pressed on and got the Friday bl… no, Saturday blog finished, not much in it, but there you are. I can thank the oligarchical Liberty-Global’s Mr Fries for that.

Cor, Blimey! A fourth trip to the flipping . And naturally, 6 trips to and from the kitchen to fetch water for the W.C. tank. Worst of all, BPB
was so persistent with her agony giving twinges!
I wonder if last night’s vegetable soup with added seasonings might be the reason for my messy, sickly, repetitive marathons?
I didn’t take any photos of it cause I thought I’d be without a computer this morning.

Got the Health Checks sorted and a graph made in the new Enforced upon me CorelDraw. I’m still and will be until , and have been repaired… as I mentioned yesterday… if I live long enough.

The Wee-wee Mystery

Hello, the wee-wee has started to rapidly flow…
And yet all day yesterday, it was so slow!
And I’d drank Spring water, 3L or so…
Today my guzzling rate was far below?
I reckon I’ve already passed a kilo…
Coming more often suddenly…
Will I ever again get to see…
Me taking a manual wee-wee?
Hehehe!

I went to the kitchen to see if I could plan a salvage operation on what was left of last night’s nosh in the saucepan. After a bit of ponderisationing, I made my mind up.
I added a tin of cheapo tomatoes to the stick mess, tasted it cold, and added some liquid sea salt to it. Then popped the last of the vegan min-sausages in… then gave them a good stir. I can heat them up later, with the last of the terribly bland; I’ll never repurchase them from Asda, mortgage-needing priced sourdough rolls.

I had a blast on the computerisationing.
But I didn’t get very far with my blogging. Why? I’ll tell yers…
Yet another call from the innards to the !

came in support of BPB , they mutually got at me, without mercy, after fetching the water in agony from the kitchen to refill the not working W.C. tank, yet again! I know I shouldn’t, but I took two Impofrufen Extras. But did not take any Paracetamol when the Carer arrived. I went back on with blogging but realised the semi-final twixt Manchester United and Brighton was on the box; thus, I made more and more mistakes, and my eyes worsened as I got tired… Poor old thing!

Ah, Extra-Time to be played. That’s put the kybosh on me getting some blogging done!

It’s no good, I sat here doing nothing physical, and the pains from the two ailments are still so bad. I risked taking another Codeine; I hope it helps with the gals, BPB and Please!

Watching the extra time of the match… and I smelt burning! Arrgh!
I hobbled rapidlyish to the kitchenette to find I’d left the heat on under the saucepan. An awful lot of the sausages had split open. Not that it matters, I suppose.
Back at the end of the match and trying to concentrate on this blog. Not a cat in hell’s chance, of course.

I gave up on the blog and watched what little was left of the match. Then went to see if any decent shots were available of the sun going down. Too early yet.
So I got the heat under the pan, slowly warmed up the food, and served it. Two rolls of bread and a mini-pot of dessert. Not too bad at all. Gave this one a Taste Rating of 7/10. The Carer called when I was eating it.

Added the night pouch too , and slipped me a couple of Paracetamols.

Washed the pots and took these shots of the amazing sky over the next half-hour or so.

Bootiful!
High, but on her way down…
The last fullish blest of her heat…
All but hidden now. Gorgeous!
A last quick peek

♥ Au revoir ♥

Having got to kip so late last night, I resisted getting up every time the jumping awake occurred… but when I needed to get up… Zzzz!
Thus, it was gone at 07:00hrs when I rose, and that was reluctantly. The first thing needed was to take off the .
Which was containing some urine that looked like there might be some blood in it, judging by the colour. However, my having protanopia (Colour-Blindness to reds), you can decide for me, please.

Then I detached the , and emptied and packed it up for disposal. And the need for the arose. So, I meandered to the wet room.

I found a spoon used last night in the dressing gown pocket. How and why it was in there… I don’t know. But it was. An uncomfortably messy, Trotsky Terence-controlled, gooey splattery session again. still, cleaning it up was not as painful as usual.

I went into the kitchenette and got the kettle on.

Taking this photo while waiting for the kettle to boil. Before it did, I had to nip back again for more activities.
, as it was filling up a bit urgently.

With it being such a small day bag, the smallest ever used; I was concerned that if I failed to check it, an acci-whoop could well happen, and the overfilled bag may burst?

The Ocado order I believed I’d slotted for next Tuesday – arrived!
I am!

I got a call from Meridian’s Tina, asking me to ask if the Urology nurse arrived for her to call Tina. I said I would, and I noted it on the pad.

But it was a treat that I will still eat!
Hahaha!

.
I’m so glad I emptied the part filled now. The bag was really heavy and stretched.

The Urology Nurse arrived.
I told her of the terrible pains and bleeding I was having from Little Inchie. She took a look and was surprised at the amount of blood and puss. She set about cleaning it up. Then adjusted the tubing and clips on the for me. Ah, so much less painful now! I thanked her.
I assumed she had brought some new s for me. She reminded me to keep drinking and then ran Tina. Who came up to talk to the nurse. I could not hear what they were speaking about, though. But I assumed it was about the supply of the bags.
The nurse departed with my thanks.
Tina made me a mug of tea. Then she departed with my thanks.

I took this picture and then carried on doing yesterday’s blog.

As the night began to fall…

I took this photo.

arrived. Gave me the evening medications, and we had a little natter and laugh.

Back on the computing lark.

I thought I heard knocking on the door and found on the floor underneath the letterbox some Ibuprofen and Paracetamol.
I think they were from Jenny. I must ring to thank her.

Arrived, theoretically, to attach the to the … But she discovered that we had no night pouches that we could use!!!
I had no choice other than accept it and stay up awake all night. I believe there is no way the day bag is big enough to cope with all the night wee-weeing without bursting.
Can I stay awake, though? This is going to be an unwanted stressful struggle I could do without!

Can I ever be free of worries?
I suppose not?

Evening night shot from the kitchen window.

With staying up late, I’d lost any sense of time.
And thoughtlessly rang Jenny to thank her for the tablets she’s kindly posted through the letterbox for me earlier.

♫ Food, Glorious Food! ♫

Worra meal!
Taste rating: 8/10

In mu efforts to stay awake and monitor the tiny day bag, I made many pots of tea, nibbled an unhealthy amount of Cheesy Curls and Vinegar flavoured Quavers, and even sat on the end of the £300, bought eight years ago from the second-hand shop, Harold Haemorrhoid testing, repugnantly beige-coloured, crumb containing, virus-breeding, acne-giving, rickety, none-working recliner, so if I did nod off, hate jolt of slipping off the chair should wake me. It didn’t work!

I fell asleep; I’d estimate at 04:00hrs.
Woke up at 06:00hrs, and I had to empty the tiny catheter bag.

Another day of cock-ups, got through!

Inchcock Today: Tuesday 22nd November 2022

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
01:25hrs: Porcelain Throne, a wash, a second Throne visit, got the waste bags sorted out. A couple of wee-wees while I was making a brew of Glengettie.
Got the Monday blog tackled and did it all the way through (although I anticipate a number of errors and mistakes).
Back to the Porcelain Throne again. They were all of a sloppy Trotsky Terence variety and not a lot of it.
As I was getting the Health Checks done and making the graph… and I am sure that this would amaze and stun you… But the internet went down!

Difficult to apprehend, I know. A man earning now, $26.8 million a year, plus bonus and shares, who buys Virgin Media from Mr Branson for so many billion. 24 billion, I think it was
And can’t even get a service to Nottingham that is even slightly like a reliable service?
You have to admire the number-crunching Smoke and Mirrors money manipulator.

Of course, it’ll be mainly jealousy at how much he is earning. And can’t do the job right… innit?
Also, he must be a cunningly lucky man. He’ll know the few bosses of Liberty-Global above him, and no doubt fear of his spilling the beans on them ensures that Fries keeps his job? That and the back-handers they must be giving to the financial regulators. Just thought I’d mention it.

I thought the wee-weeing was bad now, but little did I know what was waiting for me overnight!

I got my head down and tried to relax and recuperate.
But five hours later, Mr Fries, Liberty-Global, Virgin Media had not returned Internet was not on again.

Slept and woke for an hour, with no interest, and a totally confused brain caused me much misery. At 08:00hrs, Carer Shekiel came. Nice lad, we had a natter, treats in thanks, and he took the waste bags with him.

Noisy neighbour Herbert kicked off with his concerts of noise. At least they were different this time. The usual tap tappings, intermingled with the odd cappella serenade from his drilling tones.

I reluctantly started to fo the Health Checks again
Not so good today, back up in the Hypertension-3 Red Zone. The SIA bringing a rather high figure. A shame about that.

Although I did this okayish, my tiredness and weariness returned. And my concentration was all over the place. I turned off the computer and sat down in the £300, second-hand, c1968, charity shop-bought, eyesorely-horrendously grungy coloured, Harold Haemorrhoid-testing, easily-falloutable from, unfit-for-use, not working, recliner.
All a part of the mysterious nature of Woodthorpe Court, with the ghosts, wraiths, spectres, cacodemons, apparitions, and other grotesqueries that haunt the hallways and lobbies, searching for Inchcock; to curse with bad luck, create ambiguities, abstrucities, perplexities, misfortunes and botherations, to scare. worry and confuse me!.

My mind was all over the place. I was hoping that ILC (Independent Living Coordinator), Oberstgrüppenfuhreress, Warden and Primo Ballerina, Warden Deana, Or ILC (Independent Living Coordinator) Generaloberstess, Ice skating champion florist and Warden Julie would find the time to get me some help on the ultra confusing instruction from the Mental Status Hospital. Even the address is confusing me.
Hazelwood House, ‘The Coppice’, Highbury Hospital, Bulwell, Nottingham.

I spent the rest of the day in the recliner; in fact, I spent 12 hours in the chair. The wee-wees slowly increased in frequency and got more and more painful, with less flowing each time!
As I said, no sleep again whatsoever.
I felt cold all night, a feeling that someone kept walking over my grave.
I made an ode in the morning for the Wednesday blog about this.

At 01:25hrs, I must have had 80 wee-wees! The total passed, would not have finked a tea mug! I started using the WC after this, hoping that it may encourage the rate of flow. It didn’t

Then I suddenly felt the cold more. I took off the jammies and put the dressing gown in the laundry bag. Then bot a thick bobble hat on my head, got a jumper on my torso, and a jacket on top of them. and a thicker pair of trousers on, and some socks… Boy, was that painful!

The rest, indeed even some of this, indeed repeated, I think, on Wednesday’s blog.

The Worst Night Ever!

Descriptive Ode Coming Tomorrow!

Yet another not-nice night of nodding and jumping awake minutes later – repeatedly! At 03:25hrs, I got up from the semi-comfort of the £300, used, second-hand shop bought nine years ago, c1966, discomfiting, alarmingly Karki-beige coloured, crumb-containing, TV remote hiding, not working recliner, for a wee-wee. And, after several minutes of waiting for the to stop. I gave up any silly ideas of getting back to sleep, knowing full well that I would be jerked back into reality within a few minutes.

I got the computer on, then went to make a brew of tea.
The early morning view was most pretty, so I fetched the Lumix to take a photograph of it. I went back to the computer to collect the camera, back to the kitchen and took this picture on the left, and realised that the toes and feet felt a lot easier this morning. Good!
or were making it hard for me to see. Made the brew, got the mug of tea made safely, and returned to the computer carefully with it. I gave myself a stubbing on the right big toe against the Ottoman corner of the Ottoman on my way back. Spilt some tea that found its way somehow on the clean jumper I’d put on, my left knee and the right foot sock, and the carpet!
There was no swearing or cursing.

The rain started again.

I then proceeded quite professionally to get myself into a proper pickle with the updating of the Tuesday blog. I did get uptight about that. I think the odds are that with having made so many mistakes in correcting and formatting, I think I may well have forgotten to move some writing that I put in the wrong place and had to move – one of them was possibly corrected and put in another wrong position. I don’t really want to check it again…

I started sorting out the template for this blog, and I was so disappointed when started to kick off so early in the day. Especially after she was not too bad yesterday.
WP Comments.

Surprisingly arrived. He seemed in good spirits too! I was flabbergasted to see him; I thought he was off work ill! He said they changed his rota for yesterday. So glad to see him looking perkier too! No yawing, either.
We had a natter and a moan after he’s done the alarm wristlet check and got the medications given. Then, Richard explained why the Goose Fair burgers were so high in price – he said they were ginormous! Nice to see him so unexpectedly. It cheered me up. I gave Rich his bag of teats from yesterday. He pointed out how little I had in the fridge.

I spent hours trying to get started on this blog. But it was hard-slog cause the concentration had crumbled again, and the eyes made it an error-ridden effort.

I made an order for Iceland on Saturday. Then one for Morrisons through Amazon, which reminded me I’ve got the belts coming from them today. But the estimated time was late; 17:00 > 21:00hrs.

Bloody Marvellous!

I was getting the details of the food orders on Calendar when it went down…

Got a message come telling me that TODAYS Morrison order is on its way!

Couldn’t check anything at Mr incompetent-overpaid Liberty-Global Virgin Media Fries net was down again…

Then I got a phone call from Easy-Link to confirm times for the bus in the morning and kindly add that they will return to pick me up from the Doctor’s to lift me home to the flats at 09:40hrs.

Then I got a call from the DVT Clinic changing the Warfarin doses…

I changed the Warfarin list on the Carers folder.

I am now completely confused. I’m not really surprised about this!

Just to cheer me up, the rain started again!

Aha! The Liberty-Global Virgin Media Internet came back on.
But talk about slow! Never known it so slow as this, then…

The $23.6 million a year salaried, plus bonuses and an unlimited expense account genius and number-cruncher, Mr Fries, who has no clue as to customer service or even how to run an internet service without it going down several times a day, went down again!

Now I’m worried about the belts arriving, and the for tomorrow but coming today (most likely my fault though, I’ll put money on it!), Morrison Delivery, and all are due to arrive at the same time as the evening Carer!

Blobber hobble-grobble, plunk tiddlywinks doo-da, Criclebunkwood toad-stools! Losing it? Me? Yes!

Now all I need to do is not hear the intercom when they arrive; if they arrive – Oh, dear, sorry I said that! Well, fancy that, the rains falling again. Argh!!! Got to do something important? Or, I think I have forgotten something… Oh dearie me! I’ve all het up with everything happening at the same time, so there must be a decent chance that I’ve misheard or misunderstood something?

The Amazon Morrison order arrived
Got the goods put away. Josie rang the chime to give me some gigantic bananas. I’ve asked her not to gift me food I cannot eat so many times, bless her. The diabetes course has told me motto eat bananas, but I do have them when I can get mini-ones.
These ones must have been a foot long!

The belts from Amazon arrived. Two fit, just. The third I can gift to Carer Richard in the morning.

Carers Shannon and Sam arrived, both in good spirits.

Took these shots of the sunset period and then got the ablutions done.

It was not a good session.

Five little dicks shaving.

Bleeding away.

Gave me a few good shakings!

Cut gums teeth cleaning.

A session of agony, bleeding, and extreme effort was needed on my behalf to force the evacuating product to start its journey to freedom and the Nottingham sewers!

Vicious!

The battle with Glenda left me with a bruised toe and finger. Humph!

Bedded down. Shattered Mentally!

Worra Day!

Inchcock Tuesday 16th July 2019: A day of inner-moaning. Tsk!

2019 July 16

Tuesday 16th July 2019

Hungarian: 2019. Július 16, Kedd

22:00hrs: After falling asleep so early, I woke in a relatively refreshed mood, but still feeling a little tired. This was ignored at first, not given any deep thought. I was up out of the £300 c1968, second-hand, rickety, noisy, grotty-beige-coloured, disagreeably uncomfortable, sometimes working but as often not, recliner. Needing to use the almost empty EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-Wee Bucket) and being caught out, my not expecting the SSPPWW (Short-Sharp-Painful-Powerful-Wee-wee) that flowed violently out from the bladder. I don’t know where the power came from. Haha!

I decided to get the hand-washing done straight away, and walking stick in support, I toddled carefully to the kitchen. After I had done the laundry, rinsing and got the t-shirt and socks on the airer, I tackled the health checks, and took the medications (far to early as I found out minutes later – Fool!

1Mon15WD 0.51.102 As I was getting the sphygmomanometer and thermometer out of the medical drawer, it dawned on me that the sun was still out, and what the time was! Jiminy Cricket, cripes and by gad, what an absolute harebrained, dumb, thick, addlepate I am! A supreme Shmo. Oy Vey!

I went onto the balcony to take a shot of the evening. With its finger-flesh tearing metal spring opener, I decided to be quick about it and not open the window to take the picture.

WD 0.51.102 Which was just as well, as I realised I was stood there naked taking a photograph! A Supreme+ Shmo this time! Oy-Gevalt! Can I get any help? I must be going bonkers! EEM (Extreme-Embarrassment) Mode Engaged!

I made a brew and got on with updating the Monday post. To my utmost pleasure and great joy, the digits, hand, and arm, rarely went into a dancing mode for the three and a half hours it took me to do the job. Fair enough, the shoulder did a bit of jiggling about, but even that wasn’t too often or violent. I’m having a mixed day up to now, some disastrous Whoopsiedangleplops, and some much-welcomed relief from the ailments. I am content for things to stay like this with the dancing limbs, though.

I nipped to the wet room, in anticipation of needing the Porcelain Throne – but I’m afraid things seemed blocked again, and all my bestest efforts and discomfort endured, failed to move anything.

Just a point of interest, I have noticed that recently, since the Stroke, my fingernails on the left hand are growing far more quickly than those on the right one? Also, the right leg, which has and is affected by so many ‘issues’, they keep changing their capacity for fluid retention, one day the left if fatter, then the next day, the right one is plumper?  In recent communications from various medical letters from different teams, the following terms have been used; Neurotmesis, Axonotmesis, Medullary/Myelin sheaths, Diabetic Polyneuropathy, and Peripheral Neuralgia. Surely some of these will be the same thing? It all confuses this already confused pensioner! Haha! I’ll have to ask Lynton if I remember, he’ll know. I’ve Googled them, but cannot understand all that came up. Just a couple of confusing thoughts I had this morning. Thick? Me?… Yes!

GC capI found that I had left my new light blue Andy Cap in the room. And with the ailments so being so kind to me, I took a selfie of me smiling in celebration. Hehehe!

I posted off the blog and went on the WordPress reader. Did a bit of Facebooking next.

Then onto CorelDrawing for a few more hours, creating some graphics for page headers and Thoughts for the blogs. Then I made a start on this post.

I had to nip out for a Porcelain Throne visit.  No bleeding, and it seemed a little less effort and a good deal less painful to complete the motion this time.

With getting up so early, I treated myself to a YouTube viewing hour or so. Mostly documentaries and car-crash clips watched. Then, I got the ablutions tended to…

2Tue02WD 0.51.102 The sickly old pins (legs) looked to have deteriorated somewhat from yesterday. The lumps were far worse in the right limb.

But, on the brighter side, the ankle ulcer is improving quickly. No Arthur Itis, Anne Gyna or Duodenal Donald were giving me any stick, either!

2Tue03WSA 0.51.102 Got the teggies cleaned. Then the shaving was done. But at a cost! Thanks entirely to the Neurotmesis, Axonotmesis, Diabetic Polyneuropathy, Polyneuropathy, or Peripheral Neuralgia prompted shakes, quivers, and Hokey Cokey-like, dancing fingers, shoulder and leg! They are all clever-sounding words, I must find out which is which! Hehehe!

I must get prepared for the INR blood nurse arriving in a bit. With the new Intercom not being heard correctly, well, not at all really!

WD 0.51.102 I set about rereading the leaflets again, in-depth, to try to find out if I could increase the ringing tone on the baffling contraption.

WD 0.51.102 I’ve no idea how, but I was sure the left icon would change the ringing tone level, and the right end one, the voice audio status. And I dare not move from the hallway at all, even for a wee-wee, whatever. I spent about two hours in the hall, making no progress at all. Eventually, I managed to (What I thought was) the voice-audio set to a third, but the flaming tone range went to Muted! I do not have an inkling, as to how this happened. I was getting myself all het-up, bothered, flustered, and frustrated here!

I heard Josie’s door open and had a little natter with her.

WD 0.51.102 I spotted even more bumpf had been delivered.

2Tue07

  1. A confirmation letter for the appointment with Dr S K Raghunathan, at the Stroke Outpatients for 20th August, Corridor N5 at the City Hospital.
  2. Nottingham City Homes Important Notice for Woodthorpe Court Customers. Notification of Interruption of Water Supply. For Tuesday 23rd July at 09:00hrs.
  3. The work will take up to eight hours.
  4. A recommendation that we stock up with water the evening before each of the days, in containers, bottles, and saucepans.
  5. The NCH can supply bottled water if you contact Nick Jones on a certain number. Great for deaf people that!

WD 0.51.102 This can go with another from Nottingham City Homes letter.

  2. Between the hours of 0830am and1700hrs.
  3. With a recommendation that we stock up with water the evening beforehand, in containers, bottles, and saucepans.

WD 0.51.102 And.

  2. Then at 1220hrs hours, Dr Nishapuri for a mental health examination.

WD 0.51.102 That can go with the Outpatients appointment for the duodenal ulcer checks!

Ain’t gerrin’ older a pleasure, so peaceful and relaxing being retired and handicapped in various departments! No damned rest, peace-of-mind or rest here at all! Globallglocks!

WD 0.51.102 After ponderations, I decided to check on the intercom picture for a while to make sure the nurse had not arrived, and I pass her coming up as I go down in the lift. (Yes, both elevators are now working again!) And keep my eyes out for the nurse, and call to leave a message for Deans to get me some help with the not loud enough monitor thingy. When I got outside, I noticed some NCH workmen doing something with the windows outside the laundry room. I asked one if he had a company phone and the man said yes. Seemed a pleasant enough bloke, so I asked him if he could call Deana for me, about my not hearing the ring tone on the new intercom system. He went and got the number and rang her for me. But there was no answer. So he offered to come up to the flat with me, and see if he could help.

WD 0.51.102 In the flat, the helpfull chap agreed that the layout was vastly confusing, as it did not match with the plans that were given me. The chap worked out that I had got it wrong in thinking one icon meant the voice level and the other for the ring tone. One was for up the other down, no control over the ring-tone level it seems. Although something of that ilk should be there for the engineers, perhaps?

I got back to doing the updating of this blog. The nurse hasn’t arrived yet, so I can assume she is not coming? Maybe tomorrow? Something else to fret over! Humph!

2Tue08I got the fodder on the go.

Something new for me to try today. I piece of smoked bacon, vegetarian sausages, and smokey BBQ rice, with some BBQ sauce, added? What do you think?

I wonder if the nurse will come or not today? If it is a different lady, it is just about possible that she will come later on. Not that that will do much for me. I really need to try and get some sleep in if I can. And, if I fall asleep, I doubt if I will hear the new intercom’s weak tune. Oh, I am fed up!

She did not arrive, so I hope she’ll come tomorrow.

I fell asleep for a few minutes and checked the intercom panel, but no one had rung for me.

2Tue09I finally got the nosh served up.

I vegetarian sausages looked a little on the unappetising side, but they tasted alright. I must try some of this Bens BBQ rice again. If it on Special Price at £1, on my next visit, I get some more. Very tasty!

Taste Rating given was 7/10. Good stuff!

I did the hand-washing, got down, and fell asleep again. I woke up later, but the willingness of the mind and body to rise again, was reluctant to be roused, and I nodded off again.

3Wed01gI woke again, what the expergefactor was for this, I don’t know. But, I did rise up and consulted the notebook, to see if anything worthwhile had happened to add to the blog.

I could read ‘fire alarm’ written a few times. But what else at the bottom, beat me, and I wrote it! Hahaha!
