3Wed25

03:20hrs: Strangely, I woke with a peace of mind, a serenity that has long been missing in my life. Not empirically, or egotistically, but heuristically, with far fewer worries and concerns belting about in the head! At the same time, the EQ warned me not to get too excited about this. But I could not help but feel a bit of self-satisfaction with this unanticipated phenomenon. Yet, it worried me at the same time!

As this odd new to me transformation, hopefully not a temporary one, sank in, the well-enveloped-in-flesh innards bubbled and rumbled, and I was out of the tatty, not-working £300, second-hand, recliner in seconds, and stumbling my way to the Porcelain Throne!

WD 150.0.0 The evacuation was even faster than yesterday mornings. I swear it was all over within seconds, again! But still found time to be painful and messy! I cleaned up and changed PPs.

4Thu001WD 150.0.0 On the way out of the door, the new Intercom on the opposite wall lit up! There was no tune playing, and as you can see by this photo I took (the camera was in my dressing gown pocket), no one in sight?

And, this was about 0325hrs? When I got around to doing this post, I added a photograph from the intsruction pages given to 7Sun10us.

WD 150.0.0 Baffling really, the different layout between the real thing and the instruction leaflet. Don’t you think? Highly suitable for the elderly to comprehend, fathom, grasp, discern, and work out? As if senility, decrepitude, infirmity, and dementia needed this sort of help! It’s bad enough that I am going to have to spend many hundreds of pounds out, for and thanks to the upgrading already done for us by Nottingham City Homes. New carpeting from the plasterer’s mayhem. The waste chute opening has been reduced in size, so now we all have to buy extra black bags to use. Holes left in the wall and floor to repair after moving the newly installed heater. These are the ones that Einstein would have difficulty in understanding how to set them! The wall and new electricity socket for the foam that was left to run down the wall and cover the electric-socket with rock-hard gel! The soaked-through and gone mouldy clothing that needs replacing, from the two repairs done to a leak! We, well I, do not need my mind attacking as well as my bank-balance!

By gum, I’m glad I got rid of that. Won’t make the slightest, smidgeon, modicum, or molecule of a difference of course. But better out than in! Hehehe!

4Thu04I got the handwashing on the dryer, and some hung up, for drying.

I wondered how long I could manage without burning or breaking the two new saucepans? The expensive, ‘heavy’ one with the drain gaps at the sides, which I thought was pricey at the Special Price of £17.00, let alone the original £21.00, looks like it will be easier to use. The other (left) one with the standard lid has not been used yet.

Then, I got some fresh pod peas podded and into the old pan. Added a bit of demerara sugar and a splash of Balsamic vinegar. I used the last of the peas I got from the Arnold Market, and mostly the Morrison ones delivered yesterday. Oddly after adding the seasoning, some peas absorbed it, and other floated to the top staying the original green colour.

There is an apparent reason for this. But blowed if I know what it is!

I noticed that the blood papsules on the right hand had almost disappeared. Another of the mysteries of my beloved Woodthorpe Court. That lies somewhere between the twilight zone and a wormhole slipping through a tear in the fabric of space & the universal continuum. Illusion, delusion, & hallucination are rampant at Winwood Heights. That only those older residents living here can explain. Well, sort of! Hahaha!

I was a long haul, and I slogged away in getting the Wednesday post finalised. The late start and the slow internet connection was most frustrating. The arm, fingers, hands and shoulder were not too bad, although they had their moments! It was very late by the time it was finished. I got it posted off to WordPress.

I had a local news update email. This item was staggering:

Iraqi asylum seeker Qadir, 30, of Whitemoor Road, Nottingham admitted theft of toiletries and laundry products from Tesco Express on August 7; theft food and alcohol worth £358 from Lidl 13 days later. He also pleaded guilty to stealing shower gel worth £20 on May 30; toiletries valued at £40 on June 25; beauty products worth £60 on July 4; £90 worth of razors and toothbrushes on July 5; protein drinks worth £24 on July 9; Lynx shower gel worth £24 on July 11.

City magistrates ordered him to pay £100 compensation to Poundland and the same amount to supermarket chain Lidl. Well, that’ll scare him into honesty! Huh! He’ll be back, laughing again!

In Your Area Court Report.

I went to make another brew, before starting on this blog. I took a left, ahead and to the right shots of the view.

4Thu05

The sky was not so bright as yesterday. But the forecast for the Bank Holiday, in Nottingham is:

4Thu06I’m hoping that the door mechanism that will let us out to sit in the sunshine on the bench is mended by Saturday. I can take a drink of spring water and orange and the crossword book out with me. Oh, and a cushion. The benches are made of slated wood. (Haemhorroids you know!) Haha!

It was well late in the day now. I’ve been missing doing the Facebooking, time so limited, so I decided to try and catch up – it’ll take me a long time though. Back in a while.

Blimey that took some time!

4Thu25Nosh next job. Potato boiled, drained, Leicester red cheesypotatoes, mashed in the skins and baked, beetroot, tomatoes fresh garden peas, and turkey slice mul loaf sarnies. To follow, cakes, and a limoncello.

To much, too tasty and too guilty afterwards, but a flavour-rating of 9/10!

4Thu26Washed the pots, and got down to watch some TV. Too much really, I just couldn’t nod off for ages.

WD 150.0.0 When I did drop-off, I was awake and in near agony an hour later. The right knee, was being Arthur Itis’d to buggery! A new leg ulce had appeared, close the where the last one was situated. A cracking head-aches rounded off the waking misery! Tsk!

I did get back to kip though, as things settled down.

Inchcock Today – Wed 27 Mar 2019: A diverse, niggly, oddly-most day!

Wednesday 27th March 2019

Scots Gaelic: Diciadain 27 Màrt 2019

WD 0.0.255c 23:54hrs. I woke up reluctantly. A throbbing headache and Shaking Shaun and Dizzy Dennis toying with me, all at the same time. I lay there, feeling a tad dispirited and waited until things calmed down. Shaking Shaun let go of my body first. Dizzy Dennis later, but the headache remained, throbbing away. I remembered I have the food delivery coming twixt 06:00 > 00:700hrs. No blood test this week. I felt there was something else to be aware of, but could not pinpoint it. Eventually, the need for the Porcelain Throne arrived. I manipulated my grossly over-stomached body free of the £300 second-hand, ci1968 rickety recliner, and off to the wet room.

3Wed001The legs and feet felt much improved this morning, (not the knees, they were Arthur Itis affected in the extreme) as I walked far easier than of late. The evacuation went well, despite it being of the mini-rugby ball style. Made a nice change that did, Hehe!

The legs knees had lost a lot of warpedness, the lower shins had gained some blue tinge spots, many blood papsules seem to have disappeared, and the pale anaemicness had been replaced with the yellow pigmentation again. Still, it is interesting to find out how and what on the pins has changed each morning. Hehe! It took my mind off of the throbbing head for a while.

Got the kettle on and the Health Checks done. Sys 145, Dia 78, Pulse 78 and Temp 35.1°. Took the medications, then I  got the computer on and began to update the Tuesday blog.

Hours later (without any wee-weeing!) I got it finished and sent off.

To the kitchen to make a brew of tea. I took two snaps of the morning skyline through the unwanted light and view-blocking windows with the glass that it is impossible to reach to clean. The first one I used Gold Auto mode, the second, Green Auto mode? The green was far closer to how the sky actually looked.

3Wed05a1

WD 0.0.255c Well, well, well. It had to happen because it hadn’t happened for ages now. I stubbed my corn toe on the edge of the cupboard bottom. Naturally, being the refined person I am, there were no cursing, swearing or unhealthy words uttered. (Fib Mode Detected!) Hehehe!

I made up a Morning Thought ode and graphic for today’s Inchcock Today. I may well be a poetaster and baviaan (a writer of insignificant, meretricious, and shoddy poetry), but I love writing it.

I began this post and got as far as here on it. Aha, a wee-wee needed. Ten minutes later another was required. Both of these were of the SNSWW (Short-No-Sensation-Wee-wee) variety.

I went on Pinterest to put some photographs on, then to Facebook.

Tended to the ablutions next. Which went well, no shaving cuts, Harolds Hemorrhoids not bleeding, no toe stubbing, and no knocks or bruises… well, at first anyway.

WD 0.0.255c The fun and games (pain and agony might have been a better description) of getting the new Amazon bought, men’s diabetic long bamboo-fibre socks with stretch non-tight tops on, proved dangerous, harmful and more effort than I would have liked! But all the same, if you could have seen my efforts, you would have been in tucks. Even I was! The right leg was not to difficult, and idiotically, I let a touch of ‘Smugness-Mode’ creep in. The real show was with the left leg. I kept getting up to rest on the right leg while I got the sock rolled up ready – and it kept springing off, repeatedly. I gained two new bruises and a scratch, as the leg clouted the floor cabinet corner, the floor and once the Porcelain bowl! Finally, I changed tactics and lifted the leg with the sock in hand to try to avoid 3Wed05a2resting it to get the sock on – got it on and fell backward hitting the back of my head on the door! That did the headache a lot of good! Oy Vey, I’ll be glad when the sock glide becomes available for me to collect from the surgery. But when that is likely to be, is anyone’s guess!

Still, once I got them both on, I found they were very comfortable and came up above the knees.

Just leaving me with the concerns about them off later, to worry about! Hehehe!

WD 0.0.255c Unfortunately, I found the socks were creeping down below the knees minutes later. Humph! But, I’m getting used to living with my being pitifully accident-prone and luckless. I suppose I’ll just have to accept that I’ll never enjoy oblectation or success ever again! Grumph!

I made a brew and got on the computer to update today’s badinage, while I waited for the food to arrive.

WD 0.0.255c Dang me! I’ve got earache now to accompany the cephalalgy! Tsk!

3Wed0607:50hrs now. The Ocado order is due between 07:00>08:00hrs.

I looked out of the unwanted light and view-blocking new kitchen window, with its unable to access areas to clean, to see if any signs of the delivery could be sited. Nope! Just a line of tenants parked cars, none reversed into.

I had a look at the Ocado site.

3Wed07

It seems they are having problems. Order status, ‘We are preparing your order’ it said? Not good, is it!

08:15hrs, no food from Ocado yet?

I went on CorelDraw.

WD 0.0.255c What a plonka! I’d ordered the food for the evening, not morning! Tsk! So now I have to stay awake if I can manage it. Globstuckenists!

I got the things ready and went to the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights, Hauptbereitschaftsleiteress Warden’s Temporary HQ. Sarcasm & Insult distribution area. Tenants Socialisationistical Meeting Shed. Telling Inchcock off Zone. Where things like crockery and pottery get stolen 3Wed05a1afrom, Rumourmongering Clinic, and somewhere to rest while waiting for the bus, Portakabin.

I called to see Frank on the way out. Jenny is still very poorly.

I felt terrible for Jenny and Frank. Off to the hut. Running the gauntlet of vehicular dangers.

3Wed08WD 0.0.255c No one in. A few tenants arrived, and I had a chinwagging session with them. But, Dizzy Dennis attacked me, and the Porcelain Throne summoning visited again. So I decided to return back to the flat and not go out today. I wasn’t in a good mood or feeling on top form anyway. As I went through the lobby, I spotted a washing machine was not in use. I got up to the flat ASAP, Porcelain Throne duties carried out, then back down with the washing.

Back up to the apartment and had a we3Wed09e-wee, then back down with the crossword book, to the lobby.

Got the washer going, and had a natter with some people who I did not know for a while. I moved the gear to the dryer.

Doris and Mo, then Gaynor arrived and stopped for a chinwag and laugh. I had another a go at the crossword puzzles, with the help of Malcolm and Mo. Well, they laughed at my failure with the crossword. Hehe!

The headache and the knees and feet were all giving me hassle. I was getting irritable with myself, and feeling so tired again. Not getting out, didn’t help I suppose.

Got the dried stuff folded and in the bag. Cleaned the filter and drum, and up to the flat. Not in a good mood for some reason, still getting irked at myself.

I set about getting the meal prepped when the phone rang. IT was Sister Jane, who had left her phone on loudspeaker, and I could not understand much that she was saying. She took the speaker off, and things improved. “Will I be in on Friday around 10:00hrs, as she and Pete would pay me a visit?” I explained about the possible Emails. I am expecting about the sock-glide, the GUM clinic, and the Kidney appointments, all to give me a time to go to the relative place. She told me to ring her if I was not going to be in. I agreed, as was too nervous not to. Haha! The mess she will see in the flat will not go down well.

3Wed10I got my clothes off and the glorious old slippers on. Then the computer on to update this blog. (You watch it, someone will call on or ring me now!)

Got the nosh sorted out and served up.

Chips with stewed steak and a sourdough baguette to soak up the gravy with.

3Wed11Got the nosh eaten up.

Not one of my best efforts. 5/10 Flavour rating. Washed the pots and got in the second-hand, £300 ci1968 recliner to watch some TV.

WD 0.0.255c Determined not to fall asleep and miss the late Ocado delivery… Zzzz!

By pure good luck, I woke at 1830hrs in need of 3Wed12a meg-mega, slow trickling wee-wee! And realised I had to rise, get some clothing on, and get ready for the food delivery.

Which came at 1920hrs.

I found that the tray of five Sicilian tomatoes had now gone up to… wait for it…

This will surprise you, it did me!

3Wed12aa£5! Cor blimey! Love a duck!

I got on the computer to update this diary.

I got as far as here, and just had to stop and get some kip.

No doubt about it, a diverse oddlymost day!

Inchcock Today – Tue 26 Mar 2019: Not one of my betterer days. Humph!

Tuesday 26th March 2019

2Tue01

23:55hrs. I woke and immediately found myself frantically fumbling my way out of the ci1968 second-hand, £300 rickety, rusty recliner; and taking the few paces to the EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-wee Bucket).

wd 255.102.0 Where I discovered that the wee-wee mode had changed to that of being an SSPWW (Short-Sharp-Painful-Wee-wee). By the time I had readjusted things ready to take the EGPWWB off to be cleansed and sanitised, I needed another further session! The stinging and tingling was a lot worse this morning. And yet, the legs felt and looked like most of the fluid retention had gone? I hobbled to the kitchen with the bucket and antisepticated it, in readiness for what was obviously going to be further heavy use later on.

I collected the tray and plate from the main room where I’d left it last night, and washed them up. There were no signs of any Nocturnal-Nibbling. Smug-Mode Adopted!

wd 255.102.0 Got the sphygmomanometer out, and had to nip to the wet room for a wee-wee and to use the Porcelain Throne. The rear-end evacuation went okay. But, Little Inchies Lesion was leaking, stinging and painful for some reason, overuse probably. Tsk! Back to get the Health Checks done. Sys 154, Dia 80, Pulse 88 and Temp 35°.

Got the computer on and updated yesterday’s blog. With all the farces and photographs taken, this took me aeon. Four wee-wees later, all SSPWWs. I finally got the blog posted off, and went on the WordPress reader.

I actually fancied some chips for breakfast, But, I refrained, abstained, resisted and went on the food-wagon in shame at myself! Smug Mode increased to Super-Smug-Mode!

I made a start on this post. The top of the page Morning’s Rhyme of Thoughts just flowed from the brain for once! After one more wee-wee and about an hour or so, the need for another Porcelain Throne session arrived. Again, the evacuation was okay, but the following wee-wee was for a change, of the ELDWWIEEWW (Extra-Long-Dribbling-When-will-it-ever-end-wee-wee) style. I got a feeling of deja vu, as I got out the Victoria Wood biography to read, and completed several pages before I dared move and was moderately confident that things had completely finished. Luckily, they had. Phew!

wd 255.102.0 I got the camera and took some shots of the pins (Legs). Only the area around where the leg-ulcer gave cause for concern. The different pigmentation and white spots might be the ulcer beginning to return. The ankle did this before the sore appeared nine weeks ago? The usual one leg more fluid-filled than the other, but not so markedly today. If the Tate gallery is interested in financing me, so they can use these photographs as part of a display, just let me know. They are better than a pile of bricks, surely? Bringing my legs to put on show at the gallery, will cost more of course. And also, if any medical laboratories are interested? Thank you!

I went to make a fresh brew of tea, and get some biscuits to dunk for breakfast. A quick diversion to the EGPWWB for an ELDWWIEWW (Extra-Long-Dribbling-When-will-it-end-wee-wee) style wee-wee. Washed the dandies and got the brew and Scottish Highland biscuits.

I shot some snaps with the newer camera, from the unwanted new kitchen windows. That cannot be reached to be cleaned, and are light and view-blocking.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Back to the computer after an ELDWWIEWW.

The doorbell chimed-out. T’was Riechsführeress Commanding Officeress and Catwalk Model Warden Deana, to check the Wrist Alarm with the NCH Control.

I was advising her of my problems with the Glide and socks, and telling her about the nerves problems in the legs.

wd 255.102.0 I was a bit embarrassed as I had not done any ablutions and was in my jammie-bottoms, because of how bad I felt. The dizzies kept visiting. Then the chimes rang out again. Marvellous innit, for eleven days one does the ablutions, shaving, etc. early, the one day you don’t feel like bothering, Two people call at the flat! The second caller was an engineer to check on the length of cable from the heater to the plug.

wd 255.102.0 I still dare not go out, because of the wee-weeing and Dizzy Dennis. I ain’t too good at all. The Doctor must listen to me on my next visit.

I made an order from Ocado, for delivery for tomorrow.

I went on CorelDraw to do a few more page top graphics. Three wee-wees and three hours later, the fatigue set in. Which was a little worrying, as I had not done ‘owt over-physical all day?

Took the medications and got the oven on for the chips or waffles whichever I decide on having. Dizzy Dennis visited, the first time for hours.

2Tue10Feeling right depressed and weary now, not really knowing why, apart fro, persistent Dizzy Dennis, maybe.

Got the nosh sorted out. I couldn’t even be bothered about buttering the bread.

I ate it, but got little enjoyment from doing so, this is not me at all!

The wee-wees seem to have got far less now.

TTFN.

Friday 22nd March 2019

Africaans: Vrydag 22 Maart 2019

WD 0.0.194b 23:25hrs. I woke with a fleeting flash of fleek memories of the dream I had been enjoying so much. The mind lost concentration for a moment, while the Sock-Glide equipment took over for a few seconds, and I looked forward to getting the metal frame and socks from the Chemist next week. Try as I might, I could get back in touch with the dreams memories after that! It didn’t half nark me. Proper irked I was!

5Fri001WD 0.0.194b The moment I attempted to heave my heavily-stomached, plump, wobbly torso and bloated legs from the ci1968, haemorrhoid bothering and making bleed worse, second-hand £300 rickety recliner, boy, the pains from the ankles were not friendly at all.

It was then I realised I had not followed the instructions of the nurse at the leg ulcer clinic yesterday, to desist from wearing socks in bed! The most galling part of it was that there is only me to accept the blame! I then spent a few moments lambasting and chastising myself, and showing self-contempt, using a few well-chosen, if naughty, silent words! If anyone else had said to me, what I uttered to myself, I would have probably cried! Tsk!

5Fri002WD 0.0.194b I was getting to my feet when a wee-wee caught me out. I had to run to the wet room, as I had put away the EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-wee bucket), with me not needing it for a couple of days or more now. But the Wee-wees were back now, and not messing about. A spillage occurred on my way to the wet room. Now not only was I annoyed with myself, but embarrassed with humiliating myself! Self-disgusted! Good job I have plenty of the PPs (Protection Pants). I had a good clean-up in between my wincing and muttering to myself. I got the EGPWWB, disinfected it and placed it near the computer chair, in readiness for what I believed would be many more mini-quick-needed usages to be made of it. I decided not to go out today at all, better safe than sorry.

Dressed and to the kitchen to do the Health Checks and made a brew of tea. Got the kettle on and had to respond to the call to the Porcelain Throne. At least this evacuation wasn’t too bad. Washed and made the brew.

Health Checks okay I think. Sys 150 – Dia 70 – Pulse 89 and temp 34.2.

Next, on the way to the computer with the mug of tea, the need for the EGPWWB returned. I only just got to it in time, despite it only being four foot away from me! An SSPPWW (Short-Sharp-Painful-Powerful-Wee-wee).

I got the appointment dates put on the Google Calendar. Next Tuesday workmen visit, The Leg Ulcer checks and a reminder for me get the frame and socks from the chemist. I also sent an Email requesting the next INR Warfarin blood test for a week on Tuesday, not heard anything back yet. (Later heard it was for 07:15hrs, sent a that is alright, thanks Email back).

I got on with updating yesterdays hectic happenings on the diary. With so much, having happened, and so many photographs taken, it took me until around 04:40hrs to get I all finished and posted off. Only two wee-wees needed while doing this, both of the same SSPPWW variety.

I went onto the WordPress Reader section.

Nearly got caught out with a wee-wee then, Phew!

Prepped din-dins. Battered chicken, chicken min-sausages. Sweet & sour sauce, added tomatoes. I lost the photo that I took, from SD card into the ether! Humph!

Medications were taken. Wee-wee.

WD 0.0.194b A cracking Shaking Shaun session put an end to doing anything but sitting down. Which is just what I did.

I woke up much later, unaware of what had taken place.

Inchcock Today – Thu 21 Mar 2019: Includes ‘Exclusive’ revelations of the farcical Health Centre Visit!

ZZZZX06

2019 Mar 21

Thursday 21st March 2019

Hindi: गुरुवार 21 मार्च 2019

00:25hrs. I stirred into the travesty I sadly call life. The visit to the Mary Potter Centre, taking over my thought processes (Such as they are). The removal and dismounting of my bulbous bellied body from the £300 second-hand, ci 1968 rickety recliner was more comfortable that it has been in years. Another Mystery!

4Thu02I got my balance and checked the legs. I could hardly see any signs of the leg ulcer (That I have waited eight weeks for the appointment, and that day is today, Grumph”). The colourings had changed again, though. The chins had acquired a painful looking shade with a spotty rash. The knees were getting back to a more knobbly-warped, face-outline design. One leg had more fluid retentions than the other, but they were both of similar colouring. But there was no pain from them? Mind you; I wasn’t using them then. Hehe!

4Thu03aI laid out the tube, big shoes, paperwork all together in the hope that I would not forget to take them with me to the Health Centre.

I poddled painlessly, even the heels and soles of the feet were not tender this morning. Off to the kitchen and got the kettle on and did the Health Checks.

All this sudden bout of lack of pains is confusing me a bit.

4Thu001

The summoning to the Porcelain Throne arrived. So, off to the wet room. The evacuation was somewhat reluctant. But this gave me an opportunity to read some more of the Victoria Wood biography. There was no bleeding from the haemorrhoids today. How long can this go on for; Only the tiniest bit of bleeding from the fungal lesion. There was no bother from Arthur Itis, the soles and heels, Anne Gyna, Duodenal Donald. It’s not natural, and a bit confusing, too!

I even started to sing silently to myself, going through what words of my Frankie Vaughan favourites I could remember. Green Door, Tower of Strength etc. before moving on to some Dean Martin (June in January, The man with the mandolino) and Nat King Cole tunes (Mona Lisa, Unforgettable)!

Got the computer on and started this blog going, as far as here. Then I updated the Wednesday blog. 4Thu04Posted that one off to WordPress. Went on the WP reader page. Then on Facebook to catch up with the TFZers and post some pictures to the albums.

Got the brekkers sorted out. A bigger one today. Sourghdough tomato sarnie, marmite cheese buttons, bits of Melton Mowbray pork pie and vinegar potato sticks.

3Wed27A letter was found in the hallway. ‘Electrical contractor will need access to the flat to secure cables to the heater from skirting boards, if necessary.’ The timing was given as, ‘Either Monday 25th, Tuesday 26th, or Wednesday 27th March!’

Got the ablutions sorted out. Black bags to the waste chute as I left.

I called at the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights Flats, Oberstgruppenführer Wardens Temporary HQ, Toilet, Sarcasm & Insult distribution area, Rumourmongering Clinic. Tenants Socialisation Shed. Telling Inchcock off Zone. Things like china and pottery to be stolen from, and residents shed. And informed Pole-dancer and Warden Deana, of my having the INR blood test done on Monday 25th, and doctors appointment for the 27th. So, only Tuesday would I be in. Deana said she would pass on the message for me.

4Thu05I enjoyed a chinwag or two with my fellow alcoholic tenants in attendance. Hehe! We had a few laughs and exchanged insults.

Caught the bus down into Sherwood, crossed over the road and caught an 87 bus to Carrington. It was cram packed, I had to sit on one of the side-saddle seats, clinging on as best I could. But, it was only for about seven bus 4Thu05astops, before I got off at the end of Gregory Boulevard. I had to walk back to the pelican lights, where I was nearly knocked over in the students rush to get to the college.

Then I walked back towards the traffic island, and got over the dangerous crossing there, without any hiccups.

I began the hobble along Gregory Boulevard.

4Thu08

As I limped along slowly, I was well ahead of time at this point, and the memories came flooding back to me. There were precious few Nottinghamians making use of the Forests greenery this lunchtime. The stubs of the metal fencing that was removed in the first world war for munitions. The charity fancy dress football match I played in for the RAOB so many years ago… and I never got to touch the ball the entire game, and my mate Michael playing in the bath towel that imitated a nappy, Hahaha! Goose Fair, Billy Smarts Circus, the long-gone bowling green, the gals who granted me a walk in the bushes and trees (well, one did!), last months stabbings… ah, memories.

4Thu08aWDP My sad indulging in the wool-gathering session came to an abrupt end when I noticed this Herbert of a Nottinghamiam Pedal Cyclist coming toward me, while he was texting on his phone! This annoyed me, he wasn’t even looking ahead! Although he did stop once or twice. As he passed me by, still using his mobile, I tapped his shoulder and said “Oy, bad enough you’re using the #+?~#/g footpath, but look where you’re going at least!” But my childish outburst was ignored completely.

4Thu09WDP As I got a few hundred yards or so further on, another Nottinghamian PAvement Cyclist came from behind me, and his bike hit the bag I was carrying. He just carried on, likely not even aware of what he’d done. I contained myself and did not raise my voice at this animal.

WDP Mainly, because I was checking the vial of urine, I was told to take with me, to use if it had been broken open by the inconsiderate slime-ball on the bike. But, oddly I could not find it at all? Oh, 4Thu10dear, had I left it at the flat? I decided to have another search when I arrive at the Health Centre, which was only about five minutes away. Well, for a fit youngster, it took me ten minutes to get there, at hobbling-speed. Tsk! The feet were painful again.

I found this photograph on the SD card later. I can’t recall why I took it?

I arrived at the Mary Potter Health Centre, and it was a larger place inside than I imagined it would be. As I got the camera out to record the breadth and length of the hallway with the reception/helpdesk at the far end, I espied a notice informing me that it is not permitted to take any photographs in these premises! Shame!

I was thirty-nine minutes early, so I called at the Help Desk (Not that it was very helpful initially). There was just the one chap who overtook me and got to the desk first, and I stood behind him, a fair distance so as not to hear what was being said twixt the bloke and lady assistant. They chatted, with the assistant not looking too happy about things. Later she disappeared into the back room, leaving the chap looking annoyed for some reason.

Twenty-minutes later, the queue behind me had grown to around twelve people, the man was beginning to look annoyed now. The other behind me had begun a muttering campaign, that was getting louder by the minute.

Ten-minutes on and one of the security guards looked over, and came to ask if he could assist me… or rather said: “Wot can I do fer yer, youth?” I showed him my letter, asking him for the location of the said Treatment Rooms. He pointed out to the stairs and told me I need to go up to the first floor, adding, thankfully, there is a lift around the back of the stairs I could use. I thanked him and went to the elevator. Pressed the call button for the first floor, and arrived upstairs. Where the layout was distinct, but I stopped at another reception desk and showed them the letter. The lady pointed to the chairs at the end of the corridor, I thanked her and went and got myself down in one of the higher chairs. Got the crossword book out, and a nurse arrived within minutes to collect me. She led me through a maze of corridors to the treatment room. I made notes of the route we took so I would know the way back out later. Clever stuff, eh? Hehe!

I got to the room and sat down as instructed by one of the two very nice ladies in the office. A Q & A session was carried out. When they were asking about the leg ulcer, I got the camera out to show them photographs of the wound and legs in their differing daily conditions. It transpired that the younger of the ladies had attended Winchester Court, and had had a tour of the Winwood Court?

WDP I still could not find the vial of urine!

They explained bits of what they were to do, then I sat on a manoeuvrable trolley. Rolled up both sleeves, and trouser legs. I liked that, hahaha! They placed BP cuffs attached to the four aneroid manometer gauge and inflation bulbs, to both ankles and arms. They spent half-an-hour taking a reading from both right sides, then all variations possible of other options, they got the results and recorded them. Then, they took BP readings for each toe.

After a confab between themselves, they told me that the blood is still getting to the feet. It is possible that Axonotmesis is causing the problem if so, there is nothing that can be done about this. I looked this up in the following morning: Axonotmesis is more severe than neurapraxia, with complete internal disruption of axons, loss of axon continuity, and demyelination. However, the epineurium, perineurium, and endoneurium remain intact. Glad I did, Hehehe!

They asked about what Nurse Nichole had told me about help with the stockings. I said it was a ‘something’ glide, to help put on the stockings/socks easier. The lady kindly fetched one of these guides from another room and proceeded to show me how it worked. Adding that they were ordering two pairs of the elasticated legwear for me. They must be hand-washed daily, and never put in a dryer. I am concerned on how I am to get one pair dry in a day without heat, in time to use it to replace the other one I would be wearing in time? But I failed to mention this, my being whimp. Also, because she said I could search for these on the web and buy some. I can use this frame with loose-top socks as well, these are machine washable but expensive, I can try Amazon to buy some from. I’ll check these out in the morning!

4Thu27I have to collect the Sock-Donner from the chemist, along with the socks. This picture is the nearest I could find on the web, that was anything like the one they showed me how to use, which I will be getting. The layout workings are similar. The NHS one had thicker stronger square tubular tubing, is bright green and a lot stronger and durable looking to me. It has a snap-on grabber at the back, to trap the sock tops once you have inserted them in the grid. It is much larger too so there may be less bending down to use the NHS one? You can use it from seated. That’ll be bettererCould be fun lifting the leg up, but far less hassle than what I have now! Carrying it home from the chemists should be fun, especially on the buses.

I’m looking forward to getting and trying it.

I thanked the ladies and gave them a bag of nibbles, which I am pleased to say, tickled them pink.

WDP Said my farewells, and still got lost on the way out. But I found the stairs and used them, coming down in the different area to that I went up from. Haha! Klutz!

I hobbled along Gregory Boulevard and turned right onto Radford Road and made my way to the Asda (Walmart) store. Where I came out with, a can of hot dogs, Polish sausages, custard pots, sliced brown baguettes and two fresh-cream horns (Naughty!)

4Thu17WDP Paid at the self-serve checkouts, needing assistance when I blocked the machine somehow.

Out and to the Tram Stop on Radford Road. When the transport arrived, I had to sit on a side-saddle seat again, and they are a lot smaller on these trams, you know. Not to mention much-harder on the haemorrhoids!

I arrived in town, with only fifteen minutes before the L9 was due. So I had a nip down Queen Street to get some pictures of the happy-go-lucky, gay, abandoned Nottinghamians in the slab-square area.

The bus arrived, and I got on, the only passenger. This will not help the campaign to save the bus cuts, will it! No other residents got on the bus either en route. When I arrived home, a few folks were wanting to get on the bus. When I got back to the modernisation-mayhem of my beloved Woodthorpe Court, I took a few snaps of the entrance area.

4Thu22

Off course, by then I was done-for, tired, weary and not up to doing anything. No health checks were done. I intend to do just one a day from now on. (On advice from Tim Price).

4Thu24I did ring my neighbour’s door, to hand her the strawberries. I hope she likes them.

Got the chips in the oven cooking. Then I got the trousers then socks off. A bit painful removing the socks, though. But I felt a lot better after that.

I got the meal sorted out and served up. Brown baguette, buttered and sliced up some Sicilian 4Thu25tomatoes as filling. Chips and chicken mini-sausages. Initially, I put a pot of lemon mousse on the tray to have afterwards, but I remembered I had the fresh cream French horns, (Ahem!) to have.

WDP Which were horrible, and after two bites, the second nibble was to convince myself of how terrible the first one really did taste, I didn’t eat any more of them. Eurgh! Very disappointing!

4Thu23I thought I could hear the sounds of a police helicopter.

So I had a look outside but could see no signs of any emergency vehicles whatsoever.

Took the medications with a Furesomide tonight.

The legs felt a bit fuller than of late.

4Thu26Having taken the pills and medicines, I spotted a little white smoke on the distance. It seemed to be coming from near the Hadyn Road/Hucknall Road junction area.

I flaked out on the £300 second-hand rickety recliner within minutes of getting settled.

I slept right through for around six hours, waking in desperate need of a wee-wee!

Inchcock Today – Wed 20 Mar 2019: A schmegeggy, some pleasant, enjoyable and embarrassing moments today!

WD 0.0.0a 2017b01:35hrs. I woke with a perspicuousness, clarity of mind. Lamentably, concentrated on the vagaries and negatives of my life. I immediately sensed the warm-wet sensation from the PP’s from both front and rear.

When I put in the hearing aids and the spectacles on the head, more haemoglobin showed up on my hands. The nose had been bleeding, too. I felt a little dolorous and engaged Defcon Three status. Hehe!

I hauled my crassulent body from the £300, second-hand, ci1968 rickety-rusty recliner. Not such an easy task as it had been over the previous few mornings, cause I wanted to take care not start the haemorrhaging flowing from any dried-blood patches.

Off to the Porcelain Throne. The exceedingly messy evacuation went reasonably well. Harold’s Haemorrhoids were cleaned and medicated without much bother. Little Inchies fungal lesion was a problem sorting out, but the pain was worth it after it was all done. The nosebleed was stunted easily, too!

3Wed05a1WD 0.0.0a Checked the pins (legs) and they seemed to have got a little thinner than on Tuesday, with some new coloured areas, bruises and blotches. But, many of the blood papsules have disappeared? The Mystery Continues!

Changed into fresh PPs, washed and off to the kitchen to get the Health Checks done and make a brew of the extra-strong Glengettie tea bags!

3Wed05a1a

3Wed01aAs I took this photograph of the scene outside, through the unwanted, light and view-blocking windows. That I can’t physically get access to for cleaning, I could hear the familiar sounds of the emergency vehicles sirens and klaxons, as the moon shone down on the Nottinghamian burglars, street sleepers, shoplifters, gangs of druggies and hoodies, pavement cyclists, muggers, alcoholics, pickpockets, racists, fascists, terrorists and party goers.

I updated yesterday’s diary, got it finished and sent off to WordPress. Went on the GP Reader section.

Then made a start on this blog.

I popped onto Facebook to catch up with the photo albums and visited the TFZer blog.

Got the breakfast cornflakes and watched some YouTube clips.

Ablutions tended to. Towelled off, medicationalisticalisations completed, deodorised the overbearingly large torso, and got dressed.

WD 0.0.0a The whole ablutioning jobs, teeth cleaning, shaving, showering and medicalisationing took about 40 minutes – Getting the socks on, made me suffer pain and frustration and took me about 30-minutes! A tragicomic, painful farce! But at least I managed it! I decided to try out the two-sizes-too large shoes that I had bought under instruction from the Health Centre, to wear at tomorrow’s appointment. I was only going to call at the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights, Hauptbereitschaftsleiteress Warden’s Temporary HQ. Sarcasm & Insult distribution area. Tenants Socialisationistical Meeting Shed. Telling Inchcock off Zone. Where things like crockery and pottery get stolen from, Rumourmongering Clinic, and somewhere to rest while waiting for the bus, Portakabin. Then get back to the flat for the Ocado order to be delivered. I dropped two back backs of rubbish down the chute on the way out.

It was a warm day out there and very little wind. The sun out, although not brightly so. I arrived at the hut, and there were Brenda, Mary, another lady, and Roy within. More outside waiting at the bus stop – usually these eight would be tobacco addicts.

I had a natter with Obersturmführeress Warden and Catwalk Princess Deana, and Stabsfeldwebeless and Primo-Ballerina Julie, I told them about tomorrows appointment. And we had a bit of fun. Ah, I remembered, I am barred by the Nottingham City Homes Management, from mentioning anything taking place between Nottingham City Homes agents, representatives or employees and myself. So, I’ll say no more. Hehehe!

Had a chatter with the tenants. Welsh Roy had arrived, but he threw some insults at me, 3Wed05a2had a laugh, then he soon went out for a fag. I followed on my way home, stopping for some beloved gossips with the residents at the bus stop.

Hauptsturmführeress Warden/Catwalk Deana was caught by Welsh William and another tenant, for a moan gossip or put-down, I know not which. Haha!

3Wed06I got a shot of the Winwood Heights. I had to stand back near the edge of the grass close to the thirty-foot fall-off down to the allotments below, to get all the courts in the shot. Right Winchester, centre Winwood Court and at the dead-end, my treasured Woodthorpe Court block.

There were a lot of jet plane contrails across the sky.

I got back to the apartment and got some turnips cooking with some balsamic vinegar. I’d got some Soulful One Pot Pulled Jackfruit smoky BBQ Chilli with corn and beans. I had no idea what Jackfruit was, so I inquired of Google. I discovered: The jackfruit, also known as jack tree, is a species of tree in the fig, mulberry, and breadfruit family native to southwest India. Hope I like it when I try it later.

3Wed07I ventured into the unwanted light and view-blocking new balcony, and risk injury to open the refractory metal left-hand curved release bar the needs fressing forward and pulling inwards at the same time, without any Whoopsiedangleplops. I caught the worker chaps coming into the compound of the Winwood Court Extra Care block.

WD 0.0.0a I then went to open the other dangerous metal right-hand curved release bar, that also needs pushing outwards and pulling inwards at the same time, this one didn’t go so well. It was such a lot stiffer, and when it did open, it did so sharply and noisily. No-bother though, the wrist didn’t bleed for too long.

3Wed08I took this zoomed-in photo of the kids playing area in Woodthorpe Grange Park.

Apart from one dog owner being taken for a walk by her animal, I could see no ankle-snappers or young trainee muggers anywhere in the whole park. Puzzling me this?

Aha, I realise now, that the kids are not on holiday from school. I got there in the end! Mind 3Wed09you, the last time I had a walk near that playground, most of the kids had some type of contraption or other linked to their earholes, or were texting, whatever.

I took this long-distance shot. I think the areas covered are Hucknall, Papplewick, Blidworth and Bestwood. But of course, I might be wrong.

3Wed10The intercom burst into life. It was the Ocado delivery. I must take some sourdough bread for the Wardens later. I got a large loaf which is far too large for me, but I like to share things, as the small loaf costs twice as much in ratio to the large one! The retailers don’t want single people, especially old people on their own!

3Wed11I put away the fodder. The Soulful Pulled Jackfruit vegetarian meal looked lovely through the plastic container. I’m looking forward to trying it with the turnips.

I dealt with Health Checks and midday medications. Then got on with updating this post and getting the photographicalisation sorted out.

Then I nipped out to the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Flats, Oberstgruppenführer Wardens Temporary HQ, Toilet, Sarcasm & Insult distribution area, Rumourmongering Clinic. Tenants Socialisation Shed. Telling Inchcock off Zone. Things like china and pottery to be stolen from, and residents room. Hopefully, I can catch them in and give them their treat and bread. (I’ve split the sliced loaf between us. I can dunk mine in the Chilli perhaps).

Off to see the gals. Julie was in.

WD 0.0.0a I forgot to take the camera with me. Tsk!

3Wed28I returned to the flat and got the meal prepared. I hope that Ocado keeps the special offer on the ‘Soulful One Pot Pulled Jackfruit smoky BBQ Chilli with corn and beans’ What a mouthful!’ Hehe!, vegetarian meal. For it tasted so good, and was not, as I feared it might have been, too hot/spicy for me. Easy to prepare as well. A Flavour Rating of 9.25/10. The Polish sourdough bread was a delight also when dunked in the juices.

WD 0.0.0a Then I realised that the product contained sweet corn. Something I should not eat, as the passing of such food can cause my haemorroids to bleed. Crap! Fingrs crossed!

5Fri12WD 0.0.0a Did the Health Checks, and got the too large a size shoes out so as not to forget to wear them in the morning, on the trip to the Mary Potter Health Clinic. Even though I found that it is dangerous to wear them, judging from my experience doing so today. Any uneven surfaces hobbled along, and the thicker, heavier soles, and loose fitting along with catching the more extended ends, made it a smidge of a dodgy hazardous practise, tripping up-wise. Tsk!

When the fatigue started to dawn, a little earlier than usual as well, I resisted not! I got my dough-bellied, spare-tyred body down in the now-working-again second-hand, ci1968 rusty recliner. I did put the TV on, but obviously knew I was not about to be able to stay awake much longer, but still foolishly tried to watch an episode of ‘Pie in the Sky’. I did well actually, and got through until the second set of banal advertisement, before drifting off into the bliss that is sleep!

Inchcock Today – Tue 19th Mar 2019: A right bleeding day, for the fungal lesion, nose, haemorrhoids and blood test wound. Tsk! Hey-ho!

Hawaiian: Pōʻalua 21 Malaki 2019

23:50hrs: I woke without the usual reluctance this morning. Probably because I fell asleep sp ridiculously early yesterday! I slowly moved the limbs to test the pains and aches after the Monday Marathon Hobble that troubled me so afterwards. I knew the biggest danger would be when I got up on my poor feet. I gently moved my legs and feet to an area from which I could stand up from the shortest distance when I’d got the £300 second-hand, ci 1968, rusty-rickety, refusing-to-work recliner.

wd 0.0.255b The old recliner had not failed me before. Yes, it had shaken and whined a bit the odd time, but now it was point-blank refusal time! I tried pressing the button a few more times and then decided to logicalise my situation. (A brave move I thought, Hehe!) I could see the light on from the socket points in the extension plugs, so I knew I had not had a power-cut. I reached out to the small Ottoman and turned off the recliner plug, took it out and put it back in and turned it on again. Wallah! It worked. At this point, I started sneezing away and blowing my nose, and neither stopped repeatedly coming for several minutes. I used up a full new kitchen towel roll. But all is well now. Puzzled me a bit that did.

wd 0.0.255b I got the recliner down and hauled my pot-gutted flobby body out and in an uprightish position, very wearily. The phalanges were tender and painful when I moved the limbs. The interphalangeal joint was fine though, no bother. The calcaous areas were both extremely tender and sore. But, overall, I was pleased with how things were this morning, so much easier than last night!

2Tue06The legs felt and looked a lot better than yesterday. Although very much more on the anaemic, pale side. The arm and everywhere else on the body looked pale as well.

wd 0.0.255b This was when, as I bent my arm to take the picture of the legs, I felt then realised that the blood taking cover was blood-soaked inside. No blame on Nurse 2Tue01Nichole. It was a good thing that she had put on the exterior plasters, they held it all in. Nurse Ann only uses a tiny round plaster and no cotton wool, so I was pleased with this.

The fool who is to blame, is the bald-headed, plastic heart-aorta-valved, duodenal ulcered, Angina and Arthritis suffering, kidney problemed, waiting for a new hip and knee caps, bespectacled, hearing aid wearing, Nottingham pensioner with the leg ulcer and a bleeding fungal-lesion, with the bad memory, lack of confidence, and is colour-blind, who lives in Woodthorpe Court! Yes, Me! Guilty Again! I foolishly hobbled on my marathon to town, and kept swapping the bag from the left to right-hand as I usually do, to even the burden and forgot all about the wound! Tsk, Schmuck! Oy Vey!

Off to the Porcelain Throne, for a session that was messy, but nothing compared to the lower regions fungal lesion that had also been pouring out the haemoglobin. Perhaps I should cut down on the Warfarin doses? Another uncomfortable cleansing and creamings session was needed. I didn’t change the socks, cause I’m not planning on going out anywhere today.

Up and down day so far. I went to get the Health Checks done. The sphygmomanometer operated the first try.

2Tue03

2Tue02Aha, the sys had come down a fair bit at last, perhaps too much?

I looked up on Google what the acceptable readings should be for a male fool of my age. It gave me: 120/80, though the risk of heart disease can begin to increase once blood pressure reaches levels of 115/75, a systolic range of 120 to 139 and a diastolic range of 80 to 89. I’m more confused than before I looked! Mind you with the problems I’ve got: I expect these figures might not be applicable?

They can’t even get the Warfarin level right. I have only ever once got the target figure right in all the years since my ticker operation. Mind you. I’ve been close a few times. Hahaha!

I got on with the updating of the Monday blog. It took me a long time. Went on the WordPress reader section. Hello, the internet signal failed again!

Virg 255Got it back a few minutes later. Made a start on this post.

2Tue07Then, after a few hours, my mind turned to things of a jentacular nature.

I got some cornflakes and a mug of tea and watched some YouTube funnies while I consumed it.

Off to the Porcelain Throne. Where the evacuation was messy and the ensuing struggle to get the socks and new PPs on, proved to be a Battle-Royale, I could have done well without.

2Tue08Fell asleep on computer seat!

After the rain stopped, I went out on the unwanted, letting rain, rubbish bits, and wind in, view and light-blocking balcony, to take a picture of Chestnut Way below. I managed it without trapping any part of my anatomy in the metal spring release tab.

As you can see, the ‘for our safety’ temporary footpath is not very popular with some of the tenants. Hehe! Then I got the Health Checks done.

An unwelcome visit from Dizzy Dennis put an end to my doing anything constructive after that. I merely sat in the £300 second-hand rickety recliner with the TV on, but not viewing much, as the mind tormented me with fears and worries. Got a nose-bleed for some reason?

No meal tonight, but I did nibble some bits of fodder ( I found the nocturnal nibbling signs in the morning, Tsk!)

Eventually, I drifted off to sleep. I was woken up, with my mate Michael stood next to me! I had left the door unlocked, just as well cause this meant he could get in to see me! I was half-asleep, I cannot recall all that we spoke about. I know that I felt a bit poorly. Well, more out-of-sorts and discombobulated. I’m sure I did most of the talking if memory serves me right, but recalling what it was we spoke of is an ambiguous mystery.

I nodded off within seconds of Michael leaving. ZZZ!

Inchcock Today – Mon 18 Mar 2019: The day started well, blood test, went for a marathon hobble and regretted it later. Tsk!

Maori: Rāhina 18 o Maehe 2019

23:45hrs. There was obluctation from the body when the brain told me to get up. Not because of the ailments, just a general reluctance to rise and face whatever the day held for me. I didn’t move for a few minutes, despite a wee-wee demanding me to.

I pondered: The visit today for the blood test, must get some work done on sorting out the kitchen, I’ll take a walk to the Mary Potter Health Clinic to make sure I know where it is and the layout for Thursday’s Leg Ulcer appointment. Buy some bread. Don’t forget to take the nibble treats for the medical staff. The shower tiles need cleaning… thankfully, many of these brave, but rejectionable ideas faded, and I rose to get the wee-wee tended to. Hardly needed to have bothered, it was just a weak trickle.

1Mon02I had a check of the pins (legs) while in the wet room. The knees looked better than they have for ages. The remnant of the leg ulcer had cleared up even more, and the fluid retention has gone down a lot. Tsk! I’m going to look a right clot when I go to the centre on Thursday, with legs that will look like there is nothing wrong with them!

The mind was a little vague this morning, concentrating was not easy. Off to the kitchen to do the Health Checks.

1Mon06

1Mon07Wd BLACK Where I found last nights medicine pot with the tablets still inside, I’d missed taking them. Klutz! I just imbibed the Warfarin and Magnesium along with the morning doses.

Made a brew of tea, and got on with updating yesterday’s blog. Finished, I sent it off to WordPress.

Visited the Porcelain Throne. A somewhat reluctant evacuation, still a messy one though. Read a bit of the Victoria Wood biography while I waited for the movement.

Got the ablutions sorted out. Although the legs looked less blown-up, it was another battle to lift the still heavy things enough to get the PPs and socks on? Made sure the HC readings and INR Dose sheet were in the pocket.

I thought I’d have a hobble into town after the limp to Carrington and the Doctors. I took the second Medications, in case I am not home in time. Checked that the nibbles were already in the bag.

08:06hrs: I set off out into the not too bad looking morning, dropping off the bag of recyclables near the caretaker’s door.

Made my way thr1Mon07aough the maze of works on Chestnut Way.

Wd BLACK The spirits sank an iota when a Paramedic Response car came on site, passed me by and went to Woodthorpe Court!

I pressed a smidge despondently along to the end of the Way and turned right down Winchester Street.

1Mon07cThe sky looked to me, to be beautiful if a tad threatening.

I walked down the hill, with the mind having one of its storming sessions. Worries, fears, hopes, needs all fighting each other to get prominence of place in my poor demented brain’s acknowledgement department, that was struggling to cope before the brainstorm began! Huh! I certainly did not want to put up with conceptualising, or even recognising my problems at that moment!

1Mon07dWd BLACK I got an immediate release from the worries when I got onto Mansfield Road and began to walk up the hill. An uncaring, antisocial, inconsiderate, antagonistic, indifferent, animal of a Nottinghamian Pavement Cyclist passed by far too close-to-me, and sped off, weaving around other pedestrians at speed. The scumbag was probably unaware of the results of his threatening and illegal (but no one is interested) actions affected others. Fehl!

Wd BLACK A1Mon08 couple of hundred yards further up the hill, and another Scumbag Nottinghamian Pavement Cyclist flew by me.I’m afraid this one got to me, he was even closer to hitting me, and let out a verbal utterance, “Go forth and multiply!” but using fewer words. Luckily, I was wise enough to speak in a voice that ensured he could not hear me, just to avoid the fit young man doing so, and knocking the-hell out of me. Hehe! I was momentarily cheered when I saw the car pulling out of a driveway, and immediately prayed that it would hit the primate riding the bike. But, no such luck! Tsk!

Over the brow of the hill and down the hill into Carrington. I got in the Sherringham Park Medical Practice, and being in plenty of time for what I thought was my 09:00hrs appointment, and, having hobbled there in less than 55 minutes, I felt almost proud of myself and adopted my ‘Smug-Mode!’

Wd BLACK The look the young receptionist gave me, you know, that sort of sideways glance, assisted by the unspoken,  ‘Poor old fart’, expression! Followed by her sympathetic sounding words; “Oh, Mr Chambers, you will have a long wait, your appointment isn’t until 0950hrs with Nurse Ann!” As the realisation that I’d boobed again sank in, I found myself replying, nonchalantly, “No problem, I have my crossword book with me”. I smiled weakly, as the self-chastising words in my head burst forth, making me feel such a fool. A right Schlub!

I got seated and doing the puzzles. But only for about five minutes or so, and my beloved Nurse Nichole arrived and called out my name. She had seen my name come up when I logged in at the reception on the computer, and her next patient had not yet arrived, so she could hurriedly fit me in for the blood taking, to save me waiting. Now, this kind of lovely action brought me back to a much better mood! How thoughtful she is ♥. She took the blood in record time, still managing to natter to me a little, which was also appreciated. I asked her about the name of the thing I have to ask for at the Mary Potter Leg- Ulcer Clinic on Thursday. It was a ‘Glide’. I handed out the nibbles, and thanked everyone, and departed. Setting off on the second and longest part of the marathon hobble, into the city.

1Mon08aJust by the traffic island junction with Gregory Boulevard, I spotted some new life forcing its way through in the hedging. Bootiful!

As I tackled the steepest part of Mansfield Road, passing the Rock Cemetery, the feet, not the legs, began to become my most painful problem. Gawd, they were stinging, even the toes! But I did nit at this time regret making the marathon hobble. I felt with my not getting any decent walks in for ages, it was needed. It was only the plates-of-meat that complained about it. Hehe!

1Mon15I veered off down Huntingdon Street and called in the Lidl store. Where I bought a Melton Mowbray pork pie, German-Smoked cooked meat, part-baked sourdough baguettes, chicken thighs and remembered to get some cornflakes this time. Paid the lady at the checkout, and left to go on a walk-about to take some photographs of the older parts of Nottingham. But the feet objected, so I changed plans, and made my way directly towards the L9 bus stop on Queen Street.

I swear the toosies were getting so bad now, I must have looked like aright cripple to anyone watching me. Wish I’d taken the stick with me now… but that’s me all over, wishing I had done something different. Humph!

As I limped by the end of Clinton Street, I had never seen so few people walking through it in my life ever! It looked rather sad, really.

I ambled along Upper Parliament Street, and many Nottinghamian Pavement Cyclists were spotted. But taking any photographicalisation would have meant stopping and starting walking again, and I thought the feet would not like this. Oh, dearie me, they were playing up! That should teach me not to miss having walks regularly whenever I can.

1Mon11I was the only passenger to get on the L9 bus. IT felt a smidge eerie, cause usually there would be a good few others waiting, including some of the Winwood Heights residents, but not today.

At the Victoria Centre bus stop, about twelve did get one, including Elizabeth from the flats. We had a little chinwag, and she told me off for doing the walking, and not demanding better service from the medical people. A right character she is, we all love her to bits.

Arriving back at the flats, with my feet not being in good condition, I got off of the bus last, so as not to delay anyone who might be in need of a wee-wee, up. Haha!1Mon16

Lizzie had shot off ahead by the time I got off. But I gritted my teeth at the pain and managed to take these photographs as I hobbled on and caught up with her. Note the proximity of the roller near the barriers that form our old folk’s temporary footpath, complete with metal legs as obstacles to trip over and the lack of room. Just thought I’d mention it.

We had a good laugh and chinwag and moan en route and in the lift. I like the colour of Elizabeth’s coat. Said our farewells as I got off and Lizzie went up another floor to her flat.

I got in the apartment and set about doing my best to ease the pain from the feet. What a good idea, I thought!

GCB05d Wd BLACK If you had seen the performance in my trying to apply the Surgical Spirit to the feet, you would have thought of a scene from ‘Faulty Towers’ or ‘Some Mother Do Have Them”. I probably went through much more pain applying the mixture, as any pain it might have eased on the feet! In fact, I had to use the picker-upperer stick to affect where I could not reach (which was about 90% of the limbs), I ended up cutting a toe with the edge of the grabber! I spent over an hour doing it, and felt much worse than when I started the job! What a Schmuck of a Zeyde!

My body, mind, concentration and outlook faded fast. I did the Health Checks and took the medication, and got the nosh prepared while I was still awake. The weariness increased abruptly. Humph!

1Mon14The meal was made up of two flat-bottomed buttered tomato cobs, Marmite crisps and cheese buttons, yellow and orange mini-tomatoes, chicken thighs and the last of the mini-chicken sausages. I enjoyed the flavour of this effort, but the tiredness and exhaustion I felt, meant I did not eat it all.

In fact, I fell asleep eating it, waking up some hours later. Moved the amazingly unspilt tray to the side, and drifted off again. Zzz!

Finnish: Sunnuntai 17. maaliskuuta 2019

00:00hrs. This mornings expergefactor’s were a dream I’d been having, and the assumed need to use the Porcelain Throne. Here’s how it went;

  1. I woke, still worried that I could not get the mobile phone, that was shaped like a battery charger to work. A young motorcyclist had come off of his bike, on a dark, lonely city side-street. I wanted to call for help because he had fallen down a lidless man-hole, bike and all! (in the nightmare) That’s all I can recall, but I think the frustration of the dream might have continued into my reality for a moment or two.
  2. WD0.128.128 As my uhtceare about the dream faded, a rather violent rumbling and grumbling from the innards, convinced me to escape the £300 second-hand recliner with all 7Sun01haste and get to the wet room. (Knocked my leg ulcer against the corner of the ottoman, in doing so, Humph!)
  3. WD0.128.128 I hurriedly settled on the seat, expecting instant movement; but all that came was wind and a foetid, unfit for human sniffing at pong! I’d left the old camera in the wet room, so I took a shot of the pins (legs) to see what sort of state they were in now. Back into the second-hand £300 recliner. Zzzz!
  4. 7Sun02WD0.128.128 00:40hrs, I stirred again, even more, convinced that the Throne was needed more than ever. I got out of the ci1968 rickety recliner with ease and shuffled to the wet room. The ‘aroma’ of the previous visit greeted me, and as once again the wind and scent escaped, but nothing of a solid nature was moved! Disappointed a tad, I cleaned up and went to make a mug of tea. Took another shot of the pins… mainly because I’d forgotten that I took one earlier. Tsk! Got my head down again.
  5. WD0.128.128 01:35hrs, I awakened again, with the exact same sensations regarding the urgency of the call to the Porcelain Throne. I escaped the clutches of the £300 second-hand, ci1968 rusty, rickety recliner with little bot7Sun03her. No false alarm this time. The innards decided they would give me the longest and biggest evacuation in donkeys-years! Not a messy one, but the haemorrhoids were bleeding profusely with it. Tsk! The pins looked to have gained some red patches since the last picture I took. The retained fluid seems to have gone down well, mind. The darned knees were still as stiff and painful to bend as ever.

02:05hrs. I decided to give up on getting any more sleep and got the Health Checks sorted out.

7Sun10

A lot of change in this morning’s results. Just like with the legs from one day to the next. Hehehe!

I was washing (well, drying) the new China mug, and it slipped out of my hands. But somehow I was quick enough to catch it before it hit the floor. Smug-Mode-Adopted! Then, I needed my first solo wee-wee of the day. It was a UWTWW (Unwilling-Weak-Trickling-Wee-Wee. [As were all following ones]) Despite my taking a Furosemide yesterday as well. With the legs looking less swollen, I decided not to take any more of the loop diuretic tablets. Although of course, they are not only for fluid retention, they also treat the high blood pressure (hypertension), in conjunction with the Ramipril. (I just looked this up on Google!) So, I’m not sure if I made the right choice or not. Nothing new here!

7Sun07I made a start on this blog before I forgot all that had occurred. Then went on to updating the Saturday post. Got it finished and sent off.

Made another brew and tool this picture from the unwanted light & view blocking, impossible to get to, to clean new windows. Those partly hidden clouds were sending down some drizzle.

05:30hrs now, and still no more wee-wees? I put a couple of photographs on Pinterest, then went on the WordPress reader. Again, there was some interesting stuff on there.

I put some photos on the Facebook Albums and visited the TFZer site.

Guess what, Humph!

Virg 0.128.128 teal

Did the early Health Checks while I killed-time. while Mr Fries internet was down.

When it came back on, I made a ‘Thoughts’ graphic or two.

Got the chips on the oven, I’ll add the sausages later so they should both be cooked at the same time.

1Mon01aGot the plate served up, got comfy in the £300 second-hand recliner and started to imbibe the meal.

The phone light flashed. Doesn’t surprise me, I’ll be on the throne, on top of the stepladder, eating, medicationalising,  or just about to go out of the door, when this happens.

T’was Sister Jane for a natter. Which I enjoyed as the dinner got colder and colder.

I put it down to Jane’s techno-wizard hubby, Pete. And his installing covert CCTV cameras all over the apartment last time he called, so they can pick the most inconvenient, bothersome, awkward times to ring me. A Cunning Planner, he is! Only joking, Hehehe! I think my telling them about my ‘Will’ might have been a mistake as well. Haha!

I got back down and finished the algid meal. But it didn’t matter much, the audio-chinwagging to someone was more important to me.

I realised how few wee-wees I’d had today.

I put down the tray, to watch ‘My Cat from Hell’. I didn’t get as far as the first commercial break before I’d drifted off… Zzzz!

Inchcock Today – Fri 15 Mar 2019: Windy day, had some chinwags, got some bread and the legs were like balloons. By gum, I lead an exciting life! Hehehe!

ZZZZWA01b

Let’s not forget the lily-livered, chicken-hearted coward, turd-Cameron, who made all this deceitful, false, dissembling, insincere, disingenuous, hypocritical, fraudulent, double-dealing, duplicitous, perjured, perfidious, fabricated, paltering, prevaricating, shifty, spurious, maniacal, muddled, mendacious, meshugge-farce possible in the first place, before he ran away! Leaving Theresa May right-up the creek!

Friday 15th March 2019

Welsh: Dydd Gwener 15 Mawrth 2019

23:25hrs. The repeated SNSWWs (Short-No-Sensation-Wee-wees) had ensured I eventually woke up properly, suffering from clinophobia, but having to get out of my £300 second-hand, pile-encouraging, rickety, ci1968, recliner, to have yet another SNSWW.

The precious EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-wee Bucket), had never been so full. And considering how little was being passed on each visit, I reckon I must have spent more time going to, using and returning from the EGPWWB overnight, than did in the recliner! Oy-Yoy-Yoy! Hehe!

WD 0.0.128a Off to the wet room, in need of the Porcelain Throne. I soon found out that the boil that is coming up on the inner thigh, had been joined by another one or more, they were tender and sore, on the posterior (The poetry comes free, Hehehe!) The evacuation was a painless, bloodless and an unmessy affair. (I felt like Hanukkah had come early!) Hahaha! Rinsed, medicated things in need, and emptied and disinfected the EGPWWB, ready for further use.

WD 0.0.128a Then to the kitchen to get the Health Checks sorted. I’d got as far as getting out the hemadynamometer, and thermometer on the counter; and had to rush back to the Porcelain Throne!

5Fri002However, it was another easy evacuation for me, no bleeding from the rear, only from the boil, or whatever it is, gave me any pain. I checked out the pins (legs). They were a little bloated, some of the papsules and pot-marks seemed to have done a runner, with one new one appearing. No, two, I just spotted the bottom one.

Ah, I’ve just thought of a name for them. The Mutational Alien Pins!-M.A.P., like on the lunar surface! Hehehe!

I rinsed up again and poddled back to the kitchen. Got the Health Checks done, and imbibed the medications.

5Fri004

Made a brew of the Glengettie tea, and turned on the computer. I felt tired now. Considering I’d only been up about an hour or so. Still, with all the waking to use the EGPWWB overnight, I shouldn’t be surprised should I?

But it is a shame. Cause I have to go out today, to get some sample tubes, a pair of shoes that are one size too big, so they will fit over anything the leg ulcer clinic might put on them, and a loaf of hopefully, a small sliced Milk-Roll variety if I can find any.

I started and pressed-on with updated the Thursday post, then got it sent off. Then went on the WP reader. Next, I had a look to see if Facebook would let me work on the albums and TFZer site. All seemed to be working okay.

Made a start on doing this blog. Then turned my attention to things jentacular. I still haven’t bought any more cornflakes, not surprising I haven’t been out for what seems months but is only a few days. Hehe! So, a pot of porridge it will have to be for brekkers.

WD 0.0.128a I got the ablutions all sorted, I had to have a stand-up wash, so I could leave the night socks on because it was just too painful with the swollen legs to get to change them! It was another hurtful enough exercise just getting the new PPs on. This situation is not acceptable! I’ll have to mention it to the nurse at Monday’s blood test. Then again when I go to the Mary Potter Leg-Ulcer clinic on Thursday. He says in full (hopefully) expectancy that they will listen to him!

Still, sometimes the pins can change so quickly, and I might get a bit of walking in today, that sometimes gets them to slim down a bit. The wee-wees had stopped altogether now?

Went to tidy up the kitchen counter.

5Fri007Then I did the second set of Health Checks early. I caught sight of a mini-rainbow on the horizon and opened the unwanted hard to clean, light and view-blocking new window, to take this photograph of it. Not as awe-inspiring or large as rainbows in other parts of the world, but a rarity here. A bit like common sense and logicality are rare in Inchcock and politicians in the UK.

WD 0.0.128a In reality, it was three shots I took, the other two did not come out very well. Those two were memorable only for their blurriness! Tsk!

5Fri005I heard a lot of mechanical commotion as snapped the rainbow, so I bravely (given the last few days Accifauxpa record using them!) got the stepladders out, so that I could take this picture straight down, of the busy-bees working below.

I gathered the bag and three-strong shopping list. Fumbled around checking lights, the stove, the taps (faucets), lights, etc. to ensure things were left in order, and set off, dropping the black bags down the waste chute on the way.

It was windy again, but not a cold one at all. I got to the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights Flats, and Administration shed for the Generalleutnantess Wardens Temporary HQ, Willmott-Dixon workers breakfast and tea-break room, Sarcasm & Insult distribution area, Tenants Socialisation Shed. Rumourmongering Clinic. Telling Inchcock off Zone, Things like porcelain and pottery to be stolen from, and residents shed, to find three other tenants in there. No Guards in, I think some pro-tem ladies were due on site today, according to one tenant. I had a natter with Mary, who was telling me she was still waiting to move to her new flat at Sneinton.

WD 0.0.128a I was a tad embarrassed to, but I asked Mary if I could get my foot up on the chair, would she be kind enough to close the velcro for me, as my legs were so bad and blown up this morning, I couldn’t manage the simple task! She was okay about and laughed, telling me of similar troubles she had suffered! Bless her! A few other residents arrived to wait for the bus with the rest of us. The moaning began! Mary, Roy, and Malcolm all had a little chunter, hehehe! Something to do with pigeon spikes, I think it was.

5Fri09I went out to the bus stop, and the others joined me and those already at the stop.

Mary is in the blue and black coat, centre back. Tom, Elizabeth, Mary, Roy, and the others were still grumbling about something or other. Haha!

I had a laugh and chinwag with the chap on the left. A grand couple, his wife and him are. (Names fail me again, Humph!)

I got on the bus, everyone bar two, got off in Sherwood. I had a pathetic bash at the crossword book en route.

5Fri12When I got off of the L9 on Front Street in Arnold, I crossed the road and went straight into the Shoe Zone shop. I bought the required size-nine brown shoes. As long as they had velcro-closures, felt soft enough and looked sufficiently broad fitting, I was not concerned about style or colour. (But then again, I never am. Haha!)

This pair fitted all the needs, so I grabbed them and took them to the lady at the counter. I think I bought a pair earlier this year of this style, for £14.99. These were £16.99. Hey-ho! Brexit?

Then out and over the road to the Asda Store, and rushed as much as I was capable of doing. Got my three-strong shopping list. The legs felt more cumbersome than they have ever done, and the soles of the feet were very tender when walking. I was struggling somewhat to get about. But, I was not miserable with it, cause I knew that next Thursday, I will be seeing a different specialist to be ignored by. Tsk! I paid at the self-serve checkouts for my three items, without any problems with the machine! Smug-Mode Temporarily Adopted! Two packs of the French baked, small soft baguettes for £3.30, (Asda had none of the Milk Roll bread on the shelves, Grumph! And some part-baked Petit-pains.

WD 0.0.128a I don’t know how or why, but I forgot to get the cornflakes! Klutz!

I hastened painfully and hobblingly out and up to the bus stop, with minutes to spare. I knew the L9 had not been and gone because a chap tenant was sat in the bus shelt5Fri10er.

I made a comment to him about the beautiful sky and got a ‘Grumph!’ back. That was the end of that discussion. Haha!

I took this photo of the amazing clouds in the sky over the car park. While keeping my eye out for the bus coming. I was pleased with how it came out, considering how quickly I snapped it.

Another failed effort at the crossword book on the way back home. In Sherwood, some tenants got on the bus. But none spoke to me, they didn’t see me. (Well, I can’t blame them, I might not have talked to me either. Hahaha!) Doris, Peggy, and Roy were amongst them. Four minutes later, we were back at the flats. I walked back with the chap on the sunglasses from the earlier photo, and we did have a little laugh or two and natter. When we got back to the flats, his other half who had sped ahead, opened the lobby door from inside for us. A pleasant couple, bless their cotton socks.

I sliced some chestnut mushrooms and got them in the saucepan. Put the oven on. Got the cobs put away all bar the ones I will have with tonight’s nosh. No wee-wee demands at all yet? With the legs now seeming so heavy and supposedly full, I would have thought the wee-weeing would be rampant?

Got the last Health Checks done, and made a brew. Then on with updating this diary. After around two hours or so…

Virgin6

I tried the reset button. Why don’t they just call it the Lost Hope Button? Then I turned off everything, losing some work in the progress of course, that needed doing over again later! Oy Vey! No connections, so I tried turning off the computer and back on. No luck! Another power-off, waited a minute and turned it back on. Nowt improved!

WD 0.0.128a I poddled about in the kitchen, got down on my knees (How stupid can one old man be!) The fight to get back up on my feet was agony and time-consuming. This started off the knees. Both of the boils started stinging, and then Anne Gyna joined in with the assault on my body!

Now, I was annoyed with myself!

I limped (literally), back to the computer. Wallah! Mr Fries internet came back on at last! But now I had lost interest.

5Fri11Went to check the legs out.

It was not a pretty sight. I decided to take a Furesomide tablet, now I expect the wee-weeing to start again with a vengeance soon.

Got some chips in the oven to have with the tomato baguettes I was about to prepare for when the chips are ready and serve up the mushrooms with them.

5Fri26Although the flavour and taste were grand, and a worthy 8/10 rating, I’d made too much. I ended up eating only about a third of it, but I enjoyed what I did consume.

The chips and the Halal chicken mini sausages were very flavoursome indeed.

5Fri28Went to made a brew, and poured it out. As I was taking a photo of the evening sky, the dreaded wet and warm feeling came from the PPs Protection Pants.

So, off to the wet room to check on things. Little Inchies fungal lesion was flowing blood again. By the time I had cleansed and medicated things and got back to the kitchen, the tea had gone cold.

5Fri29So, I made another mug of Glengettie tea and took a second picture of the view.

The darned legs felt more substantial than ever, I expect that in the morning when I do the Health Checks, I will see a considerable increase in weight, due to the now bloated more than ever, storage of bodily fluids in my poor old pins (legs).

I hope I can get the pants and socks on in the morning. I’m gonna have to try and get some help from somewhere if I can, if things don’t improve soon.

I got the loose-fitting socks off okay, by trapping them with the other foot and heaving the leg away. But there was no way I could cope with getting the night socks on.

I settled in the rickety second-hand recliner5Fri30 that was born ci1968, and the fretting mind kicked off, just about everything it was possible to worry about, be afraid of, or was not going right hassled my brain.

I sat there with my plates-of-meat and pins on the Ottoman to watch TV, and it looked to me, like the leg-ulcer that had almost cleared-up, was beginning to make a come-back! Fancy-that!

I found it impossible to view anything on the goggle-box, nodding-off and waking repeatedly, I gave up. Pulled the woolly-hat down over my eyes, and drifted off into the land of Nod, for a wee-wee free sleep!
