Basque: Asteazkena, 2019ko Urtarrilaren 23a

2345hrs: Woke up, in need of the Porcelain Throne. Out of the £300 second-hand recliner. Not an easy task when one has to move so much excess body weight and get the mass into a semi-perpendicular position ready for actually walking.  But I coped well-enough.

The evacuation was one of the easier and less messy ones for once. During which the brain engaged with the body, and the stampede of harrowing miscellaneous unwanted thoughts and fears began to reign into the mental picture. Slowly they faded, leaving me a nihility that refilled with ponderations of a weak-willed, wimpish compliant mode. I cleaned up and off to the kitchen to do the Health Checks.

2tue06I could not resist taking a shot I’ve done many times before, from the view and light-blocking, unwanted, thick-rimmed, needing more glass area and panes to be cleaned, thick-ledged preventing downward photos from being taken, new windows. Because the view was so beautiful. The evening street lighting helped of course.

I took the dishes and mug from last night to wash and put them in the sink. I had a terrible thirst on me this morning (I still had hours and hours later?), so I decided to make a brew first… which proved to be little heart-breaking!

2tue05WD0.0.128 I got the new China (Well it was made in China, Hehe!) mug, and as the kettle heated up, as any right-thinking sinensophile or tea-lover would, I poured very-hot water from the tap to heat-up the new china mug before making the brew… Oh dear! I let it slip from my grasp, and it dropped onto the older China mug soaking in the bowl! Causing, two chips in the loved old mug! I nearly cried! The receptacle must now be thrown away! Too dangerous to risk using it now. Any cuts in the lip, they bleed much more than other areas, and my being on the Warfarin, I dare not risk it. I’m all discouraged and pitiably sorry for myself, now! Poor old schlemiel! Oy Vey!

I got on with doing the Health Checks, miserably! Tsk!

3wed01a

3wed001aThe Pulse had gone from yesterdays first checks, to being low again now. Mind you, it’s been less, so I don’t know why I mentioned this?

WD0.0.128 Looking closely at this photo, I might have read 161 for 167? Can’t tell for sure. Tsk!

The point worth mentioning is the ultra-slow and little, but definite decrease in the weight over the last three days!

WD0.0.128 Off for a wee-wee again. They have turned back into the SNCWW (Short-No-Sensation-Wee-wee) mode now. Which, as on this occasion, can cause problems, as you might understand. Humph! Had a cleanup!

1mon33Made the brew (carefully), and thought about breakfast later, and decided to have some Marmite sarnies, using the sliced Polish bread. Plenty of it left from the gigantic loaf to use up.

But first things first I said to myself. I must get the Tuesday post updated and sent off. Which turned out be a more extended session than I would have liked, with all the photographs and complicated things that took place, I was right 3wed001in thinking this.

Then, I had to return for another Porcelain Throne session. Another no-bother session.

I checked the pins while in there. Some pretty almost decorous red spots blotches and blemishes had appeared. The fluid containers had altered a little from yesterdays too. I didn’t want to, but maybe a half a Furesomide might be needed as the swelling looked to me to be increasing again. Oh, I don’t know, I’ll leave and see how things go. Or should I? I did!

With interruptions for the odd SNCWW, and my need for drinking, I eventually got the Tuesday diary finished and sent off, but not until gone 07:00hrs! Blimey was I piddling about or what? Had I nodded off and woke up without realising it? Going bonkers here I think, losing it!

Got an Email from the Doctors surgery about my request for an earlier appointment than 11:00hrs for my next blood appointment. I sent a reply, asking for an earlier appointment, please.

I began starting this Wednesday diary.

WD0.0.128 On the first break for about the ninth wee-wee, things changed again! I am now classyiying this and all those that followed as SHLNCWW (Short-Hosepipe-like-No-Sensation-Wee-wees) The unfelt dribble was now a hosepipe like style! Oy-Yoy-Yoy!

3wed03I went to make yet another mug of tea, and the moon was still showing in the sky!

When I opened the light-blocking, unwanted, thick-rimmed, needing more glass area and panes to be cleaned, thick-ledged preventing downward photos from being taken, new unwanted window, there was ice all over the outside of the black chipped new frame.

3wed05a1It’s not a good photograph, but this is best three I tried taking. Amazing, here I am now 09:00hrs, and the moon still battling to come through. Which told me, it must be below freezing out there. I put the thermometer as far as I could get it to go without losing a grip on it. It showed -3°c. Brrr! Glad it is as snug as a bug in the apartment!

I noted the frost and or snow was covering the 3wed05bottom field now. Not many birds about, apart from the nasty seagulls.

I took this photo as best I could, with the sticking out too far window ledge would let me. I had to zoom in the take the picture blind, but this one came out alright.

The frost clearing shows frost on the cars and their windscreens.

3wed05a1aI got the Marmite jar out for use later on.

Then I noticed the bottom of the new mug, It claims it is ‘Fine Bone China’. If so, it is was a bargain at £2,  I think. The tea tastes as good as in the old one.

Another SHLNCWW, being prepared for the hose-pip element, I was more cautious this time. It’s not so easy when one cannot get any feedback from the senses when Wee-weeing. Humph, but Hehe as well!

Back to the updating of this post for a while.

3wed05a2Then the desire for my super-breakfast of Polish sliced bread with Marmite got too strong for me to resist any longer. I made up the sarnies, watch a YouTube while I ate it up!

I might not need a meal again today.

I set about checking the Page Top graphics and made a few more up on CorelDraw.

Got an email back from the surgery about my request for an earlier appointment than 11:00hrs for the next blood test. All they have available is 10:05hrs! Not good is it, Grumph! Depressed once again now!

I fell asleep in the computer chair! Woke up just as I was falling over and off of it! Miracle I didn’t cripple myself!

I did the Health Checks and took my medications.

6Sat01

Titivated this graphic I did months ago

WD0.0.128 I spent more hours on the computer, before falling asleep (it turned out to be a fretfull fiesta full of waking ups and worries) as I was watching Law & Order on the telly.

Had to get out of the £300 second-hand recliner to go for a wee-wee. It came out as an LHBLWWs (Long Hosepipe-Blasting like Wee-wee)!

TTFNski.

Inchcock Today – Thur 10 Jan 2019: Best intentions foiled, Weevils return, missed Social Hour, yet still a decent day for the old man!

2019 01a

Willmott Dixon’s Ian Incharge to the rescue! Hehe!

jan10 2019

Thursday 10th January 2019

Afrikaans: Donderdag 10 Januarie 2019

23:10hrs. I’d had a terrible kip, waking up so often and nodding off again, each time with a new worry, fear or anxiety to ponder over for a short while. I felt a little drained. However, once the mind returned to concentrating on current affairs, it assessed the needs of the day: the Morrison order due twixt 0630 > 0730hrs, remembered that the Clinic has been cancelled, the spare room in desperate need of tidying up, I must call the Surgery to find out when my next blood test is due, the workmen and planners are scheduled to call between 1300>1500hrs to sort the arrangements for the messy dirty disruptive, but necessary job of either the sprinklers or communication systems to be installed etc., I changed into action mode! (Loosely speaking, Hehe!)

I was out of the £300 second-hand recliner in double-quick time, and without any hassle! The toes and feet felt fine now, apart from another change in the appearance of the 4thu001tootsies. They are going the way that Sister Jane’s did again, but not as bad.

WD 0.0.255c The right foot ones this time. Toes curling, I put this down to the side effects of the Furesomide. As I did with the weight increase, the loss of all hair on my stomach, the increased dizzies, the bloated stomach… I shan’t go on. Haha!

WD 0.0.255c I went straight to the spare room and started to painfully box things, and sort out others. An hour later, I stood back – and things didn’t look any better! I gave up and went to do the Health Checks, after an SSPWW (Short-Sharp-Painful-Wee-wee).

4thu01

4thu001aI reckon the results were all okay, weight not included in this decision of course. Off for an SSPWW.

WD 0.0.255c I went to get the medication pots out and found that I had missed taking last nights doses. Schmuck! I took the morning tablets along with last nights untaken Warfarin, Simvastatin, and the Magnesium. Off for an SSPWW.

I got on the computer and started this blog off. But minutes later the call to the Porcelain Throne arrived. A cherry picker evacuation without any bleeding anywhere! While on the Throne, the grey-cells found a few adscititious things for me to worry about. Ranging from the hearing aid batteries stock are down to the last few. Did I order the milk on the Morrison delivery? Why is my right foot now so painful and the left one far less so?

WD 0.0.255c Why did I just see a Weevil, just the one, that was so massive, it struggled to get down the shower drain hole? Haha! I had a spray around all rooms with bug-killer.

Back to the blogging. I got as far as here, off for an SSPWW, made a small mug of tea, and went on to updating yesterdays diary. (In between SSPWWs)

Facebooked for a short while, but realised I had to get the ablutions done before the Morrison food delivery arrives.4thu04

WD 0.0.255c Well, well, well, another new anomaly with the legs! So, now, the bottom half of the legs have drained off a lot of fluid. But the stomach and top half of the pins have gained fluid?

Also, the boils seem to have gone from the rear-end? How can things change so often and so quickly? Am I still asleep and dreaming? Tsk!

4thu05I got the ablutions finished and had some brekkers. Then back on catching up on Facebooking while I awaited the groceries to arrive. I put the TV on the CCTV and watched to see when the Morrison man came.

I thought I may have overdone the ordering when so many bags came. But I realised it was all of the bottles of spring water that took up most of them. I got the things away and put some raffle prizes and nibbles in a bag, along with some Wholemeal bread wraps, that I am sure Jenny will like.

I’d left the CCTV on, and noticed Angela, going out through the foyer, one minute later she returned and pressed the call buttons. I thought I could help, so I shot down to the door to let her in. She had rung hubby Roy to bring down her scarf. (It was cold outside… ♫ Baby, it cold, outside… ♫ Sorry about that, I got carried away, Hehe! I enjoyed a little laugh and natter with Angie and Roy, then back up to the flat.

Later, I went out again, take the prizes and nibbles to the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights, Generaloberstesses Wardens Temporary HQ. WC, Rumourmongering Clinic. Sarcasm & Insult distribution area. Tenants Socialisationalistic plot. Telling Inchcock-off Zone. Crockery and pottery to be stolen from location, and residents porta-cabin. Roy and Mary were sat there, and I got another chinwag in. Out and dropped off the stuff for the Social Hour.

2019 01On my way back to the apartment,  heard my name being called.

It was Willmott Dixon’s Ian Incharge high up on a cherry picker. It was pleasant to be greeted and smiled at with a thumbs-up! I later used this photo as a template for the above page header graphic.

Back in the flat, an SSPWW and made a brew and back on this blog for a bit. Then back to Facebooking. Again, interspersed with the Wee-wees.

I had a go at cleaning up the kitchen, but the bending started of Back-Ache-Brenda and Anne Gyna, so I didn’t get as much done as I would have liked to.

It was Lynne who arrived to talk me through the things for the installation of the sprinklers. They will be calling next Wednesday 16th 09:30 > 11:00hrs. Then on Friday 25th, 08:00 > 1430hrs to fit them, or drill holes. Or the other way around? We had a jolly-good little natter, I thanked her, and off she trotted.

4thu25Feeling weary now. So I got the nosh sorted out.

Imitation pretend-vegetarian meat and tomato sarnies with wholemeal bread thins. The last mini-pork-pie, gherkins, and a bit of strong stilton cheese. Followed by a very naughty Limoncello with squiggly spray cream sprayed on top. I taste-rated this one as a 9.1/10.

4thu06aWent to get one of the made-up bottles of spring water and cordial from the fridge.

WD 0.0.255c I found some dead EIBWBBBs (Evil Ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles) in the bowl in the sink, and one live one on the kitchen floor! Those in the bowl, looked like they had been dead for a good while. How did they get in there? The mysteries of Woodthorpe Court continue! Hehe!

Did the Health Checks, then settled to watch another ‘Frost’ episode on a DVD. After a farcical hour or so; my nodding off, waking, rewinding, nodding-off, waking, rew… you get the picture. Tsk! I fell asleep for an hour or two, only to spring awake thinking it was morning. Realised it was not, but could not get back to sleep again. The old brain went off on one of its panic-fretting-nervous routines, in such a frenzied fashion. Over a few hours, just about anything came in for consideration for a few seconds, related to my life or having nothing to do with me!

This went on until around 00:20hrs when I gave up trying to get back to kip when I heard a buzzing noise? At first, I thought it was in my head or perhaps I had nodded off again and was dreaming. I had to get up to investigate.

Inchcock Today – Part 1 of 2: Wednesday 21st March 2018

ZZZ07f

Wednesday 21st March 2018

German: Mittwoch, 21. März 2018

0310hrs: Woke having enjoyed three-hours of dream-filled nonsense toying with my mind, leaving me even more confused, disturbed and discouraged than ever with life’s current situation.

I felt (Rare for me) I just wanted to go back to sleep. But all the current hassles, tasks and disasters, forced me to evacuate the £300 second-hand recliner and get up and sorting things. Hopefully, the workers to do the balcony door will be arriving at 0800hrs, then out sharpishly to hobble to Carrington for the Blood Test with Nurse Ann 0905hrs. Bus to City Hospital and the GUM clinic for 1100hrs. Having been stuck indoors and unable to get out since last Thursday. Thanks to the snow and ice, and every appointment being rearranged by Nottingham City Homes or the Willmott-Brown team. I must get some fresh food in as well. Oh, and not get carried away on this computer either. Essential I start my ablutions at the latest at 0645hrs, giving me time scrub-up, medicate the lesion and piles in time for the arrival of the blokes to do the upgrading, then I can go off for the blood test, then to the clinic.

I hope things will be all right when I get back later.

Off to the kitchen and got the sphygmomanometer in use to do the Health Checks.

3Wed00b1

3Wed00b2Sys and pulse well up again. But I shouldn’t be surprised should I? All the hassle of late, and with more to come today with the inside balcony doors being installed.

Tomorrow the dentist appointment at 0930hrs, so I just hope I can get back for some of the Social Hour in time.

I’m feeling pretty low at the moment. Ah, well!

When it came to taking the medications, I realised I’d missed two doses so far this week, they were still in their pots. Tsk!

Off to the Porcelain Throne, more blood than ever from the Haemorrhoids this morning, splattered the bowl before I even passed anything. I put this down to all the enforced sitting around (on the computer mostly, thanks to Virgin, rearranged appointments and the weather) while I’ve been incarcerated inside this flat for days on end.

Got the computer on and finished off the Tuesday post.

Started this one off up to here, then posted the last one to Facebook and email friends. Did WordPress reading, some brilliant stuff on again today. Then sorted comments and replied.

I must get the ablutions and medicationalisationing of some regions of my obese-wobbly-body done now. Can’t use the noisy shower this early, so a stand-up scrub-up will have to suffice this morning. At least it is not like in the 1950’s. When I stood at the kitchen sink (No bath or shower or hot water, central heating, electricity or unemployment, in those days. Hehehe!) with ice forming on the windows, saucepans and kettles on the gas stove, carbolic soap, cut-throat razor… Enough! I can’t stand to think about it now. How the heck did I manage back then?

I’ll get back ASAP folks.

I’m back, all smelling nice with a less painful Haemorrhoids now they have been tended to, showered and shaved without any Whoopsiedangleplops too. But still not my old self.

Went to make a mug of tea to have before the workman arrives.

I found the new windows were obstructing the view and light in the room. With the bottom of the frames so high, and the new ledge below the window sticking out so far: This means I will not be able to take any photographicalisation straight down of Chestnut Walk, the car park, the bottom field, or in Panorama, etc. Because the window is set far further out, and with the new thicker heater as well, it is impossible for me to reach out enough.

P1270890

Still, in a few weeks when I can get out onto the new balcony, it might be easier to take them from there? Fingers crossed.

Got the nibbles for the nurses in the bag, updated this tosh to here, and awaited the arrival of the Nottingham City Homes man with his clipboard.

Who did not arrive? So, I got the things needed and set off out into the cold sunshine of the day, to start my mini-marathon hobble. I thought I needed a good blow-out after being stuck indoors for so long, and oh boy, did I give myself one! About 2.8 miles I reckon after checking on the Google map.

3Wed0001a

3Wed0001bHad to take care, because there were patches of ice on the higher ground.

Took this photograph as I went along Chestnut Way to Winchester Street.

There were no signs of life in the Obergruppenfruheresses Wardens and Social Hut as I hobbled by it. Well, there wouldn’t be at 0815hrs.

3Wed0001cTook this photograph half way down Winchester Street.

The weather fooling everyone into thinking it was a warm sunny morning. I can assure you it wasn’t in the slightest. Although it did warm-up later on.

But I was well wrapped up in my new coat, titfer and the PPs helped keep out Jack Frost.

The shadow in the picture made it look as if I was on a plinth.

3Wed0001dPutting back on my fingerless gloves, I was surprised to see the nail thumbnail, which I cut last night seemed to be leaking puss? It had the texture of toothpaste.

Odd that? Mind you, it is the thumb that as a young whipper-snapper I had crushed and decapitated the top half of it. No problems afterwards as such, but when it was stitched back on, the nail grew triple thickness for some reason. Just thought I’d mention it. Hehe!

3Wed0001f I proceeded in an Easterly direction (Haha!) and turned left on Mansfield Road.

Not much traffic about this morning.

No ice down here either, it was only lurking in the higher laying areas, you know, up the hills.

Up the hill and down into Carrington.

3Wed0001gaArriving at the surgery with a few minutes to spare for the appointment with Nurse Ann to take my blood.

Registered with the two not seen receptionists previously eventually. Both of them were on the phones, and I waited patiently, before logging in.

Called in by Nurse Ann, who was in a good mood. It felt quaint not being told-off. She got me done, and I gave her the nibbles, 3Wed0001hthanked her and was out. Left a bag of bites on the reception desk, and set off on the trek into town.

Plodded along the A60 through the strangely quiet hamlet of Carrington. Boy, I’m so glad I got out of there! Mind you, with all the hassle at the flats going on, I may be a little less-glad now. Hehe!

3Wed0001iHobbled along at a steady pace, no rush today. The sooner I get back to the apartment, the sooner I will have to face what will obviously be a right mess from the balcony window installation. That is if it has been done.

With Mr Clipboard not arriving, at o8oohrs as he had promised to earlier, I was in a pickle decision-wise as to what to do? If I locked the door, would they be able to gain admission? So I’d left it unlocked so they could. Not the best of situations, but I thought I had no choice.

3Wed0001J The plates-of-meat were beginning to hurt, but, I expected this to be the case, what with me not getting any walks in for ages.

As I struggled up the incline near the Rock Cemetary and the Forest, this Nottingham Pavement cyclist came close to clouting me as he passed me from behind. Unprecedentedly, this did not bother me much?

I assumed this was due to my having enough to worry about with the hassle of the flat?

3Wed001Up to the lights and over down the hill towards the City Centre.

A really strange never been seen before view when I took this photographicalisation of Mansfield Road.

Usually, lines of traffic would queue up at this spot from the traffic lights. But, all I could see in view was one bus coming up the hill!

3Wed01Always a sad sight or two to be spotted on this stretch of road.

Mostly reports of crime, and closed retail businesses.

I recall my beloved Auntie Kath was bothered by this many, many years ago, and wrote to the Council and local paper about it. Nothing has changed here then, apart from so many more 3Wed01ashops and pubs have closed down.

In the blocks behind these shops, are thousands of student flats of all types. I’d have thought they would have made use of some of the food retailers that have endlessly gone out of business, other poor souls and bought or rented and reopened so many, but to no avail, they have gone under too! I’m waffling again, sorry.

I meandered down the road and into the Victoria Shopping Centre (Mall) via the bus station and entered into the top floor. Walked the length and into the Boots Store, near the Optical Department, and searched for someone to speak with about my broken spectacles. A lady approached me. The unfortunate thing was obviously woebegone underneath her bravely displayed signs of mock interest. I explained about the fractured nose thingy on the glasses, handed them to her, and she told me to wait while she got them sorted for me. Returning a few minutes later, she returned the spectacles to me, and I inquired about the cost of getting a new pair with reading lenses. The lady told me to view the frames while she went to get someone to deal with me.

I meandered over to the wall of frames. Walked up and down them, but could not see an that appealed to me, at a decent price, and there were none with the large lens area which I wanted. Well, there was one, but that would cost me £299. I did another walk up and down in case I’d missed any… then realised that no one had come to deal with me yet. I walked out.

3Wed02I exited the centre onto Upper Parliament Street.

It was still nippy, and the sun tried to fool us. But as you can see, the Nottinghamians were like me, all wrapped up well.

Shadowy photo this one.

I legged it to the end of the road and over Maid Marion Way and up the dreaded Standard Hill to the Audio clinic. I took what I thought was a super picture of the skyline when I was half-way up. But mysteriously yet again, this one dissipated into the ether, never to be found on the SD card?

Into the clinic and to the reception desk. I made my needs known to the lady, who seemed to spend an inordinately long time giving me her inquiring up and down looks. After what seemed like minutes, but would have been a few seconds, she put her hand out and sternly spoke: “Record Log!” I really wanted to reply, “No, Gerald Chambers!” But was too scared of her practised expression and eyes raised momentarily, saying unspeakingly; “Come on you old fart, snap to it, move!” It really cheered her up when the zip on the inside pocket where I’d put Audio Log got stuck. I kerfuffled a bit in getting it open. I pictured a cartoon in my head, of this receptionist having an explosion coming out of the top of her head and me laying on the floor bleeding where the pencils had been stabbed into my chest. I left ten minutes later along with the batteries and tubes, but having forgotten to book the next test.

3Wed04I departed and hobbled down into the slab square. Sometime before the L9 bus was due, so I had a wander around and took some photographs while I was waiting.

The first one shown here. The other three had joined the Standard Hill photo in the ether and have never been found since? Not in the camera memory, not on the SD card either. I wonder just what I’m doing wrong here? I thought the slab square shot reminded me of some of the Alberquery shots that Tim Price does so well. Weather-wise I mean.

Caught the bus and had a chinwag with a lady tenant.

Back at the flats, I went into the Obergruppenfureress Temporary Social Hut. I needed to find out it the apartment had been done or not. I inquired of the Warden, but she had no idea, and suggested I got up and found out. I explained about Mr Clipboard not arriving on time as promised, but got no response at all.

3-2Wed 01So I did go up to the flat to find out what was going on if anything.

I could hear the noise and knew some of the lads were working in there. I part-opened the door, and the dust encouraged me to close it.

So, then back to the Obergruppenfureress Wardens Temporary Social Hut. Confident that a cup of tea and biscuits would welcome me, and I could rest there while the working continued.

I bumped into one of the lads and asked him how long it would be before I could get back in. About an hour I was told. Thanked the lad and made my way back to the Obergruppenfureress Wardens Temporary Social Hut, with hopes of enjoying a brew of tea and nibbles.

Hehehe!

I met Mr Clipboard on the way to the shed.

Fair enough, he apologised3-2Wed 01a for not being on time.

Got into the hut.

A solitary figure was I.

Haha!

Ah, well, at least I got a plastic cup of water!

Part Two of Wednesday’s Inchcock Today, to follow.

Back to the flat – maelstrom encountered!

Pictorial

Inchcock Today: Tuesday 28th March 2017

3Wed01

Tuesday 28th March 2017

Tamil: செவ்வாய்க்கிழமை 28 மார்ச் 2017

0320hrs up wide awake. Hastily got out of the £300 scarily shuddering second-hand recliner chair and to the porcelain throne. Managed a wee-wee, but the heavy duty part refused to leave! Tsk!

Got the laundry things ready. Going to need top machines this morning.Laundry

2Tue001a0335hrs: Down to the laundry room with the first bag of clothing.

Got the machine going, and swept the room. It looked like someone had left tissues in pockets and put the clothes into the washer. Bits were all over the place and outside leading to the lifts. On the way back up I saw a notice on the resident’s board that informed us that the L8 bus service is to finish permanently on 29th April 2017. Sad that.

0345hrs: Up to number 72, a mug of tea made, took the medications and computer turned on.

2Tue030410hrs: Down with next laundry load. The first load moved into the dryer, 2nd load into the washing machine.

It was a bit misty outside.

0420hrs: Back in the flat, started the diary work.

0520hrs: Down yet again and collected the dried clothing, folded it and put it in the bag. Cleaned the filter. Got the second load into the machine 2Tue04and up to the apartment to put the washed clothes away. Noticed a car pulling away from the space opposite the foyer doors – early riser there?

0529hrs: Finished Monday’s diary and got it posted. Another brew and tried for a heavy duty session on the porcelain throne – no luck! Started this post off.

0635hrs: Down to the laundry room to collect the second load of washed and dried clothing and towels. Had a read of the other Notice Boards, ’cause the dryer had not finished yet.

Got the clothes out and into the bag (Finding the odd sock and now having a pair again, Hehe!)

As I was taking the photograph, Roy from the 14th floor came into the room and gave me a funny suspicious look.We had a chinwag and laugh.

We had a chinwag and laugh.

2Tue05Back up a final time to the flat, and took a photographicalisation from the kitchen window of the rather beautifully blue misty scene.

Put the clobber away and once more tried to perform a heavy-duty mission in the porcelain throne room. Failed again!

The door to the airing cupboard popped open as I was passing it with a fresh brew of tea.

2Tue08

I really must invest in some type of storage furniture! Tsk!

The new socks had not shrunken in the wash, and for some reason the filter on the machine today, did not need cleaning after use?

I only had one of the Kippah style head caps left, I gave the others to the Nottingham Hospice Charity Shop the other week. They might fit a 3-year-old, having shrunk so much in the wash. This reminded me about the clothing that no longer fits me, due just possibly to my ever increasing girth and mass – but most likely they have shrunken. Hehehe! Made another bag of them to take to the shop later.Back to the diaries

Back onto to this diary and updated it.

Then did some blogging.

2Tue001Then some Facebooking.

Then onto the graphics.

The weather is still a bit misty and uninviting for me to go out yet. Tsk!

Got the things ready for the Nottingham Hospice Charity shop and bagged them all up.

Abluted, dressed, antisepticated, and down the lift 2Tue10and outside the flats.

Took a photographicalisation of the ‘End Garages’ in case they get destroyed in the upcoming external ‘Improvements’ to the apartments.

This end looked beautiful (Mind you, everything did)  the new growth of the vegetation and the fantastic greens coming on.

To the right, and took a photo of the middle 2Tue11garages that we know are due for the chop next week I think it starts.

Over the road and up the gravel path into Woodthorpe Grange Park and left down into Sherwood.

As I got to the top and over the crest to the park footpath, I espied an L8 bus in a traffic queue on Woodside Road.

2Tue12I wondered as I took it if the younger of the residents would remember it in twenty years time and mourn its demise?

Hehe!

This L8 service finishes at the end of the month.

Sadly.

As I turned to go down towards Mansfield Road 2Tue12athis turd on the right, nearly had me over as he coasted down the hill path threateningly close to the few pedestrians on it.

At this point, I sensed a warm wet sensation fro the read end.Further along, there was one tree in a far more advanced stage of ‘fruiting’ compared to the others.

I thing Haemorrhoid Harold was leaking somewhat.Further along, there was one tree in a far more advanced stage of ‘fruiting’ compared to the others.

Oh, dear.

2Tue15Further along, there was one tree in a far more advanced stage of ‘fruiting’ compared to the others.

I took this picture and had a moment of being in awe at nature once again.

Plodded on and into Sherwood, calling first in the Hospice Shop and left the bag for them and had a potter around to see if they had any storage cabinets or drawers for sale. None in at the moment.

2Tue18Down the hill and called into Wilko and got another of the power extensions with the individual on/off switches.

Very handy.

Also got a deodorant spray and a bottle of Dettol Lavender Antiseptic Disinfectant… this being because I tipped the one I got yesterday over in the wetroom.

Down the hill and into the Fresh Cream Cake Shop and got an iced fresh cream bun. (Naughty, I know).

2Tue17Even further down the hill and into the Continental Foods Store. Where I got a small loaf, belly pork slices and a packet of the Hochland Cheese portions. Similar to the one I tried the other day.

I didn’t like the texture or smell of the cheese, but they tasted delightful!

Not cheap. This packet was one that had different types of mushroom bits in the little packets/wedges.

Across the road and up the hill to the bank. Needed to talk to the manager about the farcical situation regarding my new account. It was packed solid with folks, so I left it for another day.

Limping and sweating a bit now I was. Called in a couple of Charity Shops (Cancer Research and Sue Ryder) to see if they had any cabinets in but without any luck.

Up to the pelican lights and over and up further to the bus stop – and had a delightful chinwag and laugh with some other residents (Four girls and one fella) as we waited for the L9 bus up to the flats.

Back in the flat, I dropped everything and went into the wetroom to check of Haemorrhoid Harold’s condition – not good. Cleaned and antisepticated things then washed and got the things bought put away.

2Tue16Opened one of the three for £10 lamb meal I’d gotten yesterday from Marks & Sparks. The food was in a bag with a foil tray, tipped the contents into the tray and placed the sliced potatoes on top as per the instructions.

The food was in a bag with a foil tray, tipped the contents into the tray and placed the sliced potatoes on top as per the instructions.

Not much in it, it did not smell nice either, I thought I might have made an error in trying this one?

Took the evening medications and got the TV on to watch Law & Order.

It dawned on me, the mess the place was in, with all the part sorted paperwork regarding the banking farce laying all over. I must try to sort it in the morning. Mind you, I have yet another load of washing to do now. Tsk!

2Tue14Served up the meal in the oven tray I cooked it in.

Added some mushrooms to it and a drop of lamb gravy mix.

Was not impressed with how it looked at all.

It was surprisingly so delicious, tasty and appetising! Even if was such a minuscule portion.

9.63/10 for this one!

The phone rang while I was eating it, by the time I struggled to get out the £300 second-hand recliner it stopped.

Settled down again to continue eating, and the door chime rang! It was Obergruppenfurheress Deana to do an alarm test.

Not much washing up to do this time, but I had a hell of a dizzy spell while doing it.

Tired.
