Inchcock Today – Wed 10/7/19: I feared what the day may bring. A touch of lyssophobia, mayhap? Hehe!

Catalan: Dimecres 10 de Juliol de 2019

WD 128.0.128N  02:10hrs. I had a great six hour and a bit, kip! But got no joy out of it though, for my EQ told me that the terrible happenings of the last two days, could well be made to look like picnics by today’s events! No logic or sense to the thoughts, just a knowledge that things will not go as planned. Whether is to be the late arrival of the DCUK people (After assuring me I would be visited early, 08:00hrs, the first one of the day, I was told), or some other disaster that’s lurking in wait to descend upon me! I pray my EQ is wrong, but my faith is not precisely fidimplicitary in style, but following Monday and Tuesday’s horrendous happenings, I am not confident of any success at all – indeed I expect more tribulations, Whoopsiedangleplops, Accifauxpas and near-disasters to come today. We’ll see!

I glumly removed my odiously overweight and painful body from the cheap £300, second-hand, c1968, rusty, rickety, recliner and started the active day with an even longer than it took me yesterday first releasing. An MESNSWW (Marathon-Endless-Sprinkling-No-Sensation-Wee-Wee Again the usual problem of guessing when or if, it had stopped, thanks to the view-blocking midriff, was there for me. I suppose this might make me go for it with the Weight Loss Program (or not). I could not help feeling like I did, all sour and chagrined, and not sure why? A kind of timidity, neurasthenia, anxiety, apprehensiveness, trepidation and expectancy of failure (I’ll have to make up an acronym for this, perhaps, maybe, if I can instill some drive and energy into life) binding its time, ready for some armageddon-driven calamity to eagerly strike at Inchcock with casualty making (Mental or physical) intentions! I’ve had two bad days, they seem to have knocked the wind out of my get-up-and-go apparatus. My pzazz has turned to passivity, pity! Puh!

I cleaned and sanitised the grey bucket, then to the kitchen to do the hand washing and take the medications, before doing the health checks and making a brew of tea. All the time is this feeling of gloom hanging with me, most discombobulating!

To add to my depression…

Virgin (2)

I set about swearing and mock-spitting, and struggled to update and finally finish the Tuesday dairy, and got it sent off. During these hours, it took me to complete the task, I had only six wee-wees, they were all of the SSWW (Short-Sharp-Wee-Wee) style. Which was good, cause I can tell when things have stopped and needed shaking, with this mode of wee-wee! Haha! At least the fingers, hands, arm and shoulder we all behaving remarkably well. I can’t say the same for the leg, that was imitating the Hokey-Cokey and the Locomotion occasionally, but even then, only for a minute or two at longest. Perhaps the EQ was wrong about the imminent disasters to come! (Mmm! – confusion reigned)

As I moved on to doing the WP reader, I heard noises nearby, knocking and banging, perhaps some drilling as well. I assumed that the DCUK chaps were doing Josie’s bathroom and old airing cupboard first. Which is just what Josie and Josie and I didn’t want. Josie has lost her usual stay in bed late kip, and I will miss getting out on the 09:30hrs bus to the clinic for the Podiatrist appointment making. Life is not a bed of roses! Hehehe!

3Wed01bThen I tackled the ablutionalisationing session. The pins (legs) were looking good. On the pale-side again, but this seems reasonable nowadays, for Inchcock. The old leg ulcer still looked like it might be threatening to come back, but less so than yesterday?

Harolds Haemorrhoids were painful. I’ll find out more when the Porcelain Throne arrive, which surely must be soon? I took a Senna with the morning medications earlier?

WD 128.0.128N The water was not going down the sink plughole, well, it was, but so slowly! So, I have to keep covering the hole with the plug or a cloth to try and get it moving so I could use some drain-unblocker on it. Costing me a small fortune this is! Not that it was terribly successful, though. But I think it got a tad freer flowing away. Huh!

3Wed001bWD 128.0.128N I caught the tiny burn on the knuckle on the sink plug hole, and it turned into a baby blister in seconds? Shaving, and the right hand became active again. The shaving cream I was applying, got generously spread around the head, chest,  knee caps, sink, and floor! Hehe! I’m not sure why I cleaned the place up at this point, cause it is sure as heck is gonna need cleaning again soon.

3Wed01aWD 128.0.128N I then quickly managed to cut the flesh on the cheek, under the right eye, only a tiny lesion, as the right hand did one of its neuralgia induced little dances. I think it was trying for the Bolero this time. Hahaha!

I made a start on creating this blog and did the page top and Thoughts graphics. No Porcelain Throne summoning yet, but three more wee-wees of the RPDDWW (Reluctant, Painful-Drip-Drip-Wee-Wee) mode. These are more 3Wed01ctroublesome than might appear.

I made a brew of the Glengettie tea and took a photographicalisation from the hated, light & view blocking, impossible to get to, to clean new kitchen windows. The beauty of the view did not go missed by me.

WD 128.0.128N The door chimes rang out their mock-instrumental version of Dusty Springfields ♫I only want to be with you ♫. It was one of the DCUK men, telling me they had just done Josie’s and were coming to me. I could not resist asking him why? I a got a ‘How dare you’ look of daggers in return. I explained about my being told I would be the first of the day, and Josie wanting a late call. It didn’t endear me to the lad. Minutes later they returned, and after ten minutes or so of letting the door bang to each time they fetched something, one bloke came to me to say they had to go down and bring something to enable them to carry on with the job from down in the van. “That’s alright,” I said, “I’ve missed the bus anyway, so I’m stuck indoors all day, mate”. One minute later, the door slammed twice, as obviously, they left individually. They came back after, and the knocking, banging, drilling, etc. commenced. They didn’t mess about, and the job was soon reported as being done. I had to sign an electronic pad. The young chap said they have to clean-up yet. A minute later, I thanked him, and off they poddled. Then the job of my cleaning up began. I started with the kitchen. Not too bad at all! Thanks, lads.

The vent workings looked alright to me. The picture on the right is in the wet room the left one, is the old, no longer working airing cupboard.

3Wed01L

The wet room next. Had to mop up of course, as is to be expected. But finding some sort of filler mix in the sink plug hole concerned me. If this is being left in all the sinks, no wonder the water is not draining away, and the repeated doses of sink unblocker liquid is making no difference? I had carried the chair and shoe-glide back in, but that was no problem, cause I’d only have to carry them out again with doing the mopping, then back in again. No problem for me, here.

Incidentally, I had a bit of luck in the kitchen. I managed to find five of the escaped garden peas from when I was shelling them at the weekend. Haha!

I got wit some more wee-weeing and updating this blog. Went to make another mug of tea, determined it would not go cold before I’d drank it this time. Then let it go cold while I spent some time on the balcony, taking shots down in the car park areas.

3Wed01O

3Wed01pThere were not many free spaces, and not much for the emergency services to get down to Woodthorpe Court. Winchester Court, which has no such problem, and had the bus stop outside their foyer door. But I’m not jealous! Hehe!

The saddest picture I took is the most beautiful to me. The beloved Tree Copse. The unfortunate bit is that I can never again take a hobble through it again. I could cry!

3Wed01QWD 128.0.128N Got the oven warming up for the chips, and I heard something coming through the door. It was some unwanted bumf and a letter from the Cancer Screening Programme. Oh. dear! I forgot all about asking someone to call them for me when I lost the envelope. I must ask Deana if she’s in, or Julie tomorrow to call them for me. I do feel a fool, again!

I went on the Facebooking, to catch up at last. By gum, that took a few hours!

3Wed26Going to get the nosh going now.

I sliced the last of the Pork Farms pie, opened a tin of beans, sliced some tomatoes and had some of the McCain’s oven chips, which were of a particular disappointment. A good flavour, though. But I had to pick out many chips with fusarium spots in them. Nothing like the McCain’s usual quality, but not disastrous. Being frozen, I could not cut out the infected parts. So lots of chips had to be dished in the bin. Even after this, some bad ones I missed, ended up on the plate.

I ate it all and enjoyed it all the same. A flavour Rating was given, of 6/10. The evening meds were taken.  I was soon settled on the c1968, rickety-recliner, and off to sleep like a shot!

WDA 128.0.128N A noise (I think) woke me suddenly, and I had to check things out. I was in a little too much of a hurry getting out of the recliner; I lost my balance and over I went. I caught my back on the other chair on the way down to the carpet. At least I was surrounded by sturdy furniture, and getting back up was relatively easy. I checked around the flat, for fear that something had exploded, fallen over or collapsed. I found nothing. On my way to the chair, Back-Pain-Brenda kicked off, and she was more painful than I would have liked. So much so, that getting back to sleep was a no-no, I’m afraid. Well, I did eventually nod-off very late on, but the twinges kept waking me up, and the tossing and turning started Brenda off. My battle for sleep was lost really.

Heavy sigh from Inchcockski!

Inchcock Today – Mon 8 July 2019: A Distressing, disturbing, dejectional, despondent, depressing, disastrous, detrimental, devastatingly, denigratory, Whoopsiedangleplop saturated day! Humph!

Monday 8th July 2019

Samoan: Aso Gafua 8th Iulai 2019

21:30hrs (Sunday). After falling asleep early, Even with my baryecoia, I was woken by something, a noise, or whatever, and sprang back into ersatz-life! As I lay there on the £300 second-hand, c1968, grotty-beige coloured, uncomfortable in the extreme, rusty, rickety recliner, I pondered. I have to get ready for Jenny’s visit in the morning. She has offered to help me this coming morning. To sort out the airing cupboard for the electricians to come and make another mess, servicing the air intake system to the wet room. Bless her, she is so kind to us all. So I decided, as I was well behind on the blogging, to get up and sort the computerisationing requirements ASAP.

6Sat18bWDA 153.51.102 I rose gingerly and took the two paces to the hardly used EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-Wee Bucket). The shock of SHLNSWW (Sharp-Hosepipe-Like-No-Sensation-Wee-wee) caught me off-guard, and I had to do some cleaning and sanitisationing, splashbacks, after the unexpectedly fierce, yet sensitiveless, wee-wee was done. Oy Gevalt!

1Mon01aI got the medications taken and did the health checks. The readings all looked good this morning, I think. SYS 146, DIA 59, Pulse 91, and the Temperature was 35.1°f.

As you might have guessed by the state of the picture on the right-hand side, the hands and fingers were doing some  Peripheral Neuralgia inspired dancing and shaking. They were at it on and off all day, yet never for very long, thankfully.

1Mon02I took a snap of the sky, from the fearsome light and View-blocking, with glass one, can’t reach to clean, and the step-ladder is needed to see anything down below over the wide ledge, kitchen window. A beautiful evening!

Made a brew, and took it into the utility room with me, and with great assiduity, I began to create some graphics for the blog page top.

No calls to the Porcelain Throne yet, this was out of the usual for me.

Having got the graphics nearly done. I set about making the template for the diary.

With a dogged conscientiousness, I began to update the Sunday post.

WD 153.51.0b Then, I got that feeling of, what can I call it? Thinking I had not done or done something wrong, left taps (faucets) running, windows open, cooker on, etc. Best described perhaps as, one of my nervous-panic-sessions. I just had to go and check things. The wet room and kitchen both looked okay. But a lingering feeling inspired by the EQ perhaps, would not go away, I felt uncomfortable of mind. What a wanwit, I am!

6Sat18bWDA 153.51.102 I made a mug of tea. I’d put the milk in and was stirring it, and the right hand and fingers kicked-off with the jumping and I splashed hot tea on my bare, bulging stomach. That made me jump a bit! The humming and whistling-like noises started again. There was no way of locating where they were coming from, but still, they seemed to surround me? I just hope it is not the fabric of the building creaking! Many other tenants have said they can also hear this noise. I’m worried about myself now! Haha! Moments later, the wind like sound started, almost like a generator in the background? Might be the crumbling concrete of the building? Well, at least if the place does fall down, reading this record might help them to understand why? Or not, of course.

WD 153.51.0b I finished off the diary updating, and, with great assiduity, I finished creating the graphics for the blog page top.

Still,1Mon06 no summoning to the Porcelain Throne arrived yet? Oh, dear!

I’ll ask Jenny if she would like the DVD I bought a while ago. Some oldie actors in it, but I was not impressed with the storyline, acting or the script. I bet she will know someone who might like it. With Michael Caine, Jim Broadbent, Tom Courtenay, Michael Gambon, Charlie Cox, and Ray Winstone being in the cast, I expected something better and less crude. 1Mon03It seemed to me that they were not enjoying making the film at all. Certainly not a classy or original movie at all.

I made another mug of tea to replace the one that had gone cold (again). As I made a start on this post. The burning of the back of the hand yesterday, has left some almost bluish-purple scars for me to view. Hehehe!

With my not going out yesterday, I noticed that I had also not done my ablutions correctly, and was undoubtedly over-chaetophorous. So I must take extra care later when shaving! Odds are, a nick or cut will cause some bleeding. And with the INR still being high, care is due!

I went for a wee-wee in the wet room, now back to the UWTWW (Unwilling-Weak-Trickling-Wee-Wee) variety. I noticed how obrumpent my stomach was, and I was surprised at how it had bloated overnight. I dare 1Mon07not go on the scales!

Got the ablutions done early, to give me time to get the place tidied a bit before Jenny and the INR Nurse arrive.

No shower, of course, too early. I took extreme care in shaving, it took a long time, but was a bloodless exercise! Hehe!

A hell of a job afterwards, the sink took over ten minutes for the water to flow away. I used the last of the drain unblocker. Tsk! This is getting expensive!

As I was pulling the sock-glider fitted bamboo socks on, I noticed that the leg ulcer on the ankle can’t seem to make its 1Mon07amind up, whether to come back or not? Tsk! It keeps looking like it will return, and the next day, it doesn’t?

The pins were still looking more warped than they have of late. The right leg is definitely a lot thinner than the left one is.

But the left limb is the one that has acquired a new super-bruise. Tsk!

WD 153.51.0b Arthur Itis is visiting them both, well, the knees!

I set to sorting the black bags to take down to the caretaker’s door. It’s still too early to use the waste chute, yet. I carried them down, dropped them at the door, and returned back up to the flat.

I thought I would remove some bits from the old defunct, out-of-commission airing cupboard. Those that would not require any reaching, stretching, or bending to get at, I feel a bit guilty, with Jenny having to come and help me. Humph!

6Sat18bWDA 153.51.102 Oh heck! I pulled gently at some kitchen towels, and a ton of things came tumbling out and down onto me and the floor! I felt a right nincompoop! I dare not leave the stuff on the floor, for fear of the leg doing any of its shaking and stamping. I used the picker-upper stick and moved most of the things. All I could do was stick it in the rubbish room (Steptoe’s front room) Haha!

1Mon07dThen I had so much more stuff, I filled another two black bags. I got the camera with me and nipped down to the caretakers’ room again.

I noticed the end bit of newly laid lawn, had some patches seemingly coming on well, and others dying a death! So, I took this photograph of the sad scene, outside the apartments foyer door, near the extra car parking. Humph!

1Mon07cAs I re-entered the foyer, I spotted some clothes, well jeans and a jumper had been thrown in the waste bin. I wondered what if any, was the story behind this?

Back up in the elevator, and made a brew of Glengettie tasty tea. The shaking in the leg was terrible for a few minutes, and the involuntary Okey-Cokey performance was not welcomed! But, it only lasted for a short while this time. The hands were shaking as I used the walking stick.

Then I had to go for a wee-wee. Naturally with Jenny, bless her, coming to see me, I do not want the grey bucket in view. And, of course, there is my catagelophobia. Yet another mode of wee-wee, this time. An LHBLWW (Long Hosepipe-Blasting like Wee-Wee). Variety is the spice of life they say. I don’t know who said it, but someone did, I’m sure.

1Mon08As I began today’s blogging, the door chimes ran out Dusty Springfield’s tune, “I only want to be with you”. Jenny had called to sort out the cupboard for me. We had a lovely chinwag while she did it. Very organised, Jenny had brought some carrier bags with her. She told me off for moving the stuff that had fallen out of the airing cupboard when I grabbed the kitchen towels. (Told off in the most helpful, most beautiful possible way, I almost enjoyed it!) I explained that I dare not leave them on the floor, in case the leg started stomping and stamping, then I’d have myself over again. Jenny soon had the job done for me. I waffled on a bit about things, and she was very patient with me. I wanted to give her a thank-you kiss but was not brave enough, so I just thanked her copiously and profusely. BPAFM (Beyond-Pathetic-and-Feeble-Minded-Mode engaged)

Timing-wise, I’d missed the chance of catching the 09:30hrs bus to town, so I did some catching up on this blog, and went to find the 10:30hrs L9 bus to City Hospital. Then the 40 bus to town for a photographicalisationing session. Then the L9 back to the flats. That’s the plan, anyway!

I got ready, no rain forecast so left the umbrella, got the three-wheeler-guide, bus pass and card, and set out to the bus stop at the other end of Chestnut Drive. That is outside Winwood and Winchester Courts, this leaving we Woodthorponean tenants with the pleasure of a little extra exercise each bus trip. How kind of them! Hehehe!

There were many tenants at and around the bus stop, in spirits ranging from delirious, sullen, miserable, friendly, and NIWID mode ‘No-Idea-What-I’m-Doing.

WD 153.51.0b Moments later, the INR Nurse and Angel appeared, and my heart sank, and I tried to make myself look as small as possible! I was so embarrassed at forgetting about her calling, and was red-faced and nervous when she spoke to me! She was amazingly calm, after going to the flat to find me not in, and said she would call in the morning AGAIN! Her cunningly vocalisation of the word ‘Again’ was of a fashion that drove home, I can tell you; it will remain with me forever! USMA (Shame Mode Adopted!) I inwardly vowed to try and not make cock-ups anymore again! (But as you will read later, this prayed come desire did not mature. Oy-Vey!)

WD 153.51.0b I had a few slightly nervous mini-chinwags while waiting for the L9. On the bus to town, I was unsettled, feeling awkward, ashamed and disconcerted at my forgetfull failings. I stewed over them in my mind for a while and decided there was no hope of any improvements in this area. There is none physically either, and I was soon in the depths of depression. Arriving in town, without any memory of the actual bus journey.

1Mon09WD 153.51.0b Getting off of the bus, amidst a crowd of other folks, and it dawned on me. I should have caught the other bus, and I had missed the City Hospital appointment now! I had a hellish job fighting off the wickedly demoralising dysphoria, and self-hatred had crept in the scenario. I fought to get some equanimity back; but had to settle and accept, that a ‘crestfallenness’ was with me to stay. I tried to ignore my failings. I wrote a note to remind myself to call the Stroke Unit number as soon as I get home, to apologise and cringe to them. They said in the letter, if I fail to turn up, they will refer me back to my GP. The last thing I wante1Mon09ad. Dr Vindla does not understand the mental problems involved. But, I only have myself to blame. It’s always the same (life), just when something cheery that goes right (Jenny helping and seeing her again), unbelievably joyous, or a minimal success or victory happens, is when things go tits-up. Usually of my own making. Aka today!

I had a walk around the city centre, but my spirits were not good. On Parliament Street, I 1Mon10took a couple of pictures. Taking the second one, as I turned, I noticed some new, to me anyway, Graffiti and Street Art.

WD 153.51.0b There are CCTV cameras all over the place in Nottingham City Centre. I just hoped that they would identify the scumballs responsible for this appalling anti-socialness!

1Mon11 The street art near the shelters didn’t help me to cheer up either!

Being in the mood I was, low! (my own fault, I know) I started to dream of the punishment I would meter out, if I were in power, of some sort of autocracy, where liberality, mercy, and tolerance were frowned upon! My options for the ignorant graffitier’s and pavement cyclists are best not mentioned. A few of my chosen in mind punishments were anatomically impossible anyway! Hehe!

I pulled myself round as best, to take an interest in what I was doing as I could, and had a walk around the city, taking photographs en route to the Poundland store on Lister Gate. Note that on two of the photographicalisation, I caught a Nottinghamian smiling! Also the giant blow-up man?

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

I got the Poundland Store, where my spirits were temporarily lifted when I found they had some Prok Farms Pies in stock. Bootiful! Being in the self-reproachment mood I was, is my excuse for buying so much stuff today. I came out with; Two Pork Farm pies, another drain unblocker, four nibbles, Lemon slice cakes, Twiglets, orange smarties, mini Kit-Kats, penguin nibbles, jelly babies, and stilton cheddars. Paid at the self-serve tills. £14 worth! Only some were for myself mind, the Pies, Twiflets, jelly-babes, orange Kit-Kats and the lemon cakes. Ahem!

1Mon15A slow walk back to the L9 bus stop on Queen Street, afterwards. Being in the mood I was, I ignored many photo opportunities of the Nottinghamian Pavement Cyclists. Boy was I on a downer!

I took a zoomed-in photo on my way up Queen Street, of the recently opened, ‘The CutFather Turkish Barbers’ on Upper Parliament Street. As last week, there were no customers 1Mon16in the shop. I must have a look at the prices next visit to the town. There has to be a reason for his lack of trade – apart from the fact that I walked by six barber shops on my little hobble today from the bus stop into the Slab Square area!

I took a snap along the street, that shows a collection of buses. I think it might appeal to my beloved American TFZers. (I hope)

WD 153.51.0b Got on the bus. I tried to have a talk with a regular traveller gal, but we were both hard of hearing and the look of the incredulity of her expression, made me give up trying to natter with her.

WD 153.51.0b Back at the flats in no time, it seemed. I had been stewing in deep unhealthy thoughts en route, I think.

When I had got off the bus and exchanged ‘hello’s’ with other tenants waiting to get on the bus, I noticed the poor old new lawn. So as I hobbled along Chestnut Grove, I took some pictures of sad scenes.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

2Tue03I didn’t see a soul in the flats as I got in and up the lift but felt in a slightly easier frame of mind (Fool, I should have known better!) as I got in the apartment.

WD 153.51.0b I found a note had been put through the door, from the INR nurse. Saying ‘Please contact your GP to re-arrange another visit!’ At first, my heart sank… then on reading it correctly and carefully, I saw the time on it was 10:20hrs, Phew! She had left it before she saw me at the bus stop earlier. So, the precious nurse will still be calling in the morning to see me.

WD 153.51.0b This reminded me that I had to call the Stroke Team at the City Hospital to grovel and explain things about my missing the appointment. I could not find the letter, so I went on the computer, as I was sure I had put the number on the Google calendar. I found it eventually, only to discover: It was for in August! Another Whoopsideangleplop! I’m getting fed up with myself!

WD 153.51.0b 1Mon22Then I remembered I had not put the Pork Pies, or anything else, away yet! So, I got one pie in the fridge, put the other stuff away and cut up the other pie onto a plate for the meal. Only some part-baked cobs to cook for ten minutes in the oven. Sliced and onion-salted some small tomatoes, opened and drained a can of peas, some Marmite cheese medallions added, and a pot of lemon mousse for afters. Buttered the cobs, and dug into the meal. Flavour rating of 6/10, the cobs, not being sourdough, was so bland, I might as well have had cardboard! Tsk! I ate it all, though! (Pig!)

I had a rinse, stayed stripped off and the expected weariness, with me getting up early as well, as expected came over me. I got in the recliner and put a DVD to watch.

WD 153.51.0b I soon drifted off into a deep sleep. Unfortunately, not deep enough for me to ignore the door chimes. I struggled painfully out of the chair, got some clothes on, got the stick, and made my way to the door. But no one was there, by that time!

Back in the seat, and in no time, I was back in the land of nod!

Zzzz!

Inccock Today – Sunday 7th July 2019: Bad day. But congratulations to the Ladies Team on winning the World Cup!

Welsh: Dydd Sul 7 Gorffennaf 2019

04:05hrs. I stirred and realised that I had just enjoyed a heck of a long sleep! Fair enough, it was interrupted a few times for a wee-wee, but most appreciated. A couple of minutes later, I up out of the £300, second-hand, rickety, c1968, beige coloured recliner, and making use of the EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-Wee Bucket), for an SSWW (Short-Sharp-Wee-Wee). That made me jump

WD0.0.128 During which, the mind was having a turmoil moment, of cognitive and syntax confusion. What day it was, let alone what the time was escaped me for a moment or two? With the usual fears and various anxieties milling in the background! For perhaps the only time, I stubbed my toe against the dangerous metal sock-glide and was content about this. As it brought things back into their usual muddled but to me acceptable order. It hurt, mind! Hehe!

I worked out that I had had eight hours of sleep, on and off. I had woken late for me and accepted things without any moaning or griping. I wondered what Sister Jane and Brother in Law Pete were doing. Pete might be getting up, so he can fetch the papers, impress the young lady at the paper shop, and check his bank account. Jane may well be turning over and going back to sleep… then I questioned why I am thinking about this; things were not right or explicit in the old head yet. Had I had a funny turn?

Anyway, the need for the Porcelain Throne arrived, and this helped me to get back to some vague imitation, ersatz version of normality, which, of course, is not normality to most people. Am I going bonkers? I feel like someone has taken over my brain and is toying with things? I’m not joking, this got me a tad worried.

But, all got back to usual when I got on the Throne. I got seated and started pushing things to move, and had a go at the crossword book while I waited, as I painfully exerted and pushed things along as best I could. For a change, when things moved, it did so unexpectedly quickly. And, there was no bleeding at all! So, this little triumph made me feel better, I almost adopted a smug-mode, but the EQ told me not to, so I didn’t. I washed and off to the kitchen to do the health checks, take the medications, and made a mug of Yorkshire tea.

WD0.0.128 I took four photographs from the unwanted dangerous new balcony windows, with the unreachable to clean glass, and the deadly flesh-chewing metal spring opener, that needs you to pull and push on it at the same time. Note, the straight down one is blurry. This is due to trying to take the shot with only the left hand, and the dancing and shaking had started from the Peripheral Neuropathy (or neuritis) affected right hand and arm. Just as I had got my balance, as well. Ay-yay-yay!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

I needed to use the Porcelain Throne again, but I think this was from Haemorrhoid Harold. I cleaned up and applied some of the new Clobovate 0.15% ointment, carefully. Haha! I was foolishly feeling almost optimistic.

WDA 0.0.128 WD0.0.1287Sun11 Oh, this sensation of idiotically feeling so pleased with things… It’s always at a time like this that one gets caught out; I rinsed the hands, and as I turned to get the towel, I knocked the much-feared metal sock-glide off of the shower chair, and it landed on both of my feet, giving the poor old toe another bashing!  I believe I might have said something along the lines of “Oh, fancy that!” I went to the kitchen medicine drawer, and put some antiseptic cream on the toe and foot. Not the easiest part of the anatomy for me to reach. So it took me a while. I returned to the wet room, and discovered I had left the hot tap running! Even the little black spot, whatever it is, underneath the little toe, hurt! I might not have cried, but I think I went into a deepish Sulk-Mode!

Back to the kitchen, to make another mug of tea. I must say, I have not been tempted to break my self-imposed ban on drinking alcohol for years now, but I’m glad there was no alcohol in the flat to have whetted my momentary appetite!

7Sun11aI got the hand-washing done, rinsed and on the slow-airer.

I bravely, nae, courageously, got the step ladder out and mounted rather quickly, to take some different shots from the light & view blocking, disappointing, lock-sticking, with the glass that cannot be reached for cleaning Or take any pictures of directly below. Due to the wide ledges, new kitchen windows. I wanted to picture them while the hands and fingers were not playing up. I wanted to take an upward view or two. I had to take them ‘blind’ of course, to avoid my falling off of the step ladder, or tumbling out of the opening, and ending up splattered on the floor below. Hehe!

7Sun15

Finally, I got the computer on and began to update yesterday’s diary. Which, with the hands and fingers being kind to me for once, I was getting on well with, despite a few interruptions for mostly WPSWWs (Reluctant-Weak-Painful-Spraying-Wee-Wees). Getting the post finished and sent off – but not until late in the morning. Humph!

Then, I started creating this post. I went to catch up on of TFZer Facebooking next. It’s getting late now (for me), must set the cooker.

7Sun38One of the worst-ever tasting meals I’ve ever failed with! Horrible, terrible!

A flavour rating of 2.5/10! And that’s being generous!

The sourdough baguette was alright. Nowt else to say, without being tempted to use naughty language!

Eurgh!

I watched the Ladies World Cup Final, and I am glad to report that the USA won the day.

2019 Mar 2

Well, that cheered me up! Of course, they had an English Coach! Hehehe!

I soon fell asleep. Just over two hours later, something woke me and I sprang awake!

TTFNski!

Sethoso: Moqebelo 6 July 2019

01:30hrs. I awoke with the feet and ankle in remarkably good condition, considering all things. The ankle/leg ulcer seems to the wane, again, a bit of a pain! Hehe! I could see no sign of the of any of the new growth on it, of the last two or three days?

The need for a wee-wee, not surprisingly came to the fore, and the EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-Wee Bucket) was but a pace or two away. This was another change in styles this one, it was of the UWTWW (Unwilling-Weak-Trickling-Wee-Wee) variety.

Then, off to the Porcelain Throne. But it was something of a farce, a failure, and a time-consuming exercise, again. Still, I got the ablutions done afterwards. I seemed to be more chaetophorous (in need of a shave) than usual. I thought, maybe my famously lethologica-ridden, absent-mindedness and woolgathering tendencies, may have had me shaving with the razor covers on again yesterday? I recall doing the shaving with the plastic guards on the Bic’s when I was in the Residential Home after the stroke, so I know it’s a possibility. Humph!

The feet were looking in good condition as well. Although it doesn’t show in this photograph, the left foot little toenail’s black patch underneath it had grown somewhat in size. I wonder what it is? Although the water retention in the legs and feet was getting a touch more.

6Sat08.jpg

Oddly, a change this morning, the left leg was not as swollen as the right, but the right foot was more swollen than the left… confusing innit? Hehehe! No cuts shaving or doing the teggies, either! Swank-Mode-Engaged!

6Sat18bWD 200.0.0B Some new, barely perceptible, odd marks had appeared on the right arm. Not the bruise from the INR blood extraction, lower down the limb, just higher than the wristlet-alarm. It ached around it. Another medical mystery! Haha!6Sat02

Washed, got dressed, and went to the rather disorganised and untidy kitchen. (Jenny, bless her, has offered to help me clear out the old airing cupboard, to allow electrician access. ♥) I shall not do any cleaning until they have been, they will only make more mess to be sorted. Where I prepared Josie’s ingredients for her dinner, ready to use later.I’d got the delivery server prepped last night, although I 6Sat03can’t recall doing it?

My shelling of the pod peas proved to be somewhat of a bothersome, annoying, irritating, tedious, exasperating, infuriating, and a maddeningly pestiferous procedure! Which got me going a bit! The Axonotmesis-driven dancing and jumping of the hands and fingers, left me with an assessed, guessed dozen or more peas that shot all over the place, 6Sat04never being found!

Then, I got the Health checks done. Got the medications taken, and made a pot of tea… well, a mug of pleasantly tasty, tangy, and strong-flavoured Glengettie.

The rain started to fall, and I fetched the Canon camera, with the short battery life, no eye-viewer, fiddly tiny controls, but a welcome 6Sat04handy selfie-taking moveable screen. The rain had stopped as I got back to the nightmarishly untidy kitchen, and took a couple of shots of outside.

The first one on the left required me to bravely risk using the step ladder, so I could reach out far enough beyond the ridiculously wide window ledge, which can be seen with the raindrops on it, protruding and ruining my 6Sat05already below par shot with the hands shaking again. But, this nerve-damaging and killing Peripheral Neurosis, no, neuralgia, will always be with me. Humph! Ah, well!

I then went to the balcony to take this shot through the unreachable to clean, and finger strapping and flesh removing metal opening clips. That need to be pushed at the same time as being pulled to open. The one on the right is so stiff, after a couple of risky (INR blood level) cuts trying to open it to take pictures, I gave up and abandoned the dangerous idea forever. It can stay closed and uncleaned forever as far as I am concerned! Too risky! Ideal for old folks with their ageing ailments. The younger of us love their balconies. Those, no we, with physical disabilities, illnesses, and loss of mental abilities and our sanity, do not! Hahaha!

6Sat18bWD 200.0.0B I spent many hours updating and making more errors, miss-typing, grammatical, and spelling than ever before. The time spent in correcting is getting farcical now! At one stage, I gave serious consideration to stopping and just giving up! It was as if the Axonotmesis knew, and the dancing stopped! But it was a ploy to get me to continue. Fifteen minutes later the dancing returned, this time with the shoulder joining it! Ah, well, at least the legs Hokey-Cokeying did not start.

Finally, I got the updating finished and posted off.

Then off to the Porcelain Throne. Back to the reluctant, bloody evacuation mode. I was so glad when I eventually succeeded. Haha! When all was done, and I was refreshed again. I had a moment of panic, and I have no idea why, but I had to check on the bus pass and bank card in the coat pocket? I went to the hallway, and all was okay. Phew! I noticed a letter had been posted, it was from the NHS again. From the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. An appointment is to be sent to me for a (Clinical) pathological condition assessment? I looked this up on the web, but am not a lot wiser as to who they are or what they do? Still, it’ll be some company for me. And someone to make laugh and smile, I hope. Haha!

7Sun38I set about getting Jocie’s meal cooked. I kept nipping on the computer to do some graphicalisationing, and back to Josie’s door to make sure she wanted the meal, but could not rouse her. Oh, dear! On my third try, the gal answered. She had been in the shower, and was more than ready for her meal!

This photo is one of the earlier meals, the shot I took of today’s smoked kipper in veg sauce with tomatoes and cheesy-potatoes, with fried onions, tomatoes and gherkins, was another of the ‘Into the Ether’ pictures! Humph!

I got it sorted and delivered it on the server wheeled-tray. Jocie’s eyes smiled as she looked at it, and that did me some good, I love helping when I can. Jocie was the only person in the whole of Winwood Heights, who called to see how I was when I got back home after the stroke. Bless her ♥. She was looking so much better today. I am so pleased to be of use, too!

I spent some more hours, starting this blog going; interspersed with varying modes of wee-wees having to be taken.

6Sat18bWD 200.0.0B That humming noise was heard again. It seemed to be all around, and even with the hearing aids out, I couldn’t help but listen to it. It put a stop to my already limited concentration, and I got cooking my dinner. I suppose it could be the wind being in a particular direction? But maybe not, there were no gusts, and the noise was continuous.

WDA 200.0.06Sat07 Oh6Sat18b, ‘eck! Putting the chips in the oven, and the damned hand and arm started its Axonotmesis inspired dancing and jerking! Naturally, the tray was dropped, and with the door being open, the chips fell out and down into the less than hygienic opening to the floor underneath! I got down on the knees and retrieved them, at least I think all of them, and had to dish them in the bin, and start again!

6Sat18bWD 200.0.0B The getting back up, was most trying and painful. I used the method as shown me by the nurses, but the agonising effort, still started off Anne Gyna, Back-Pain-Brenda, Duodenal Donald, and Arthur Itis! Consequently, my EQ told me the dropping and painful getting up from the floor, were two of three – things always come in threes! I wish I had listened! Aches, discomfort, pains, and feeling a right fool now!

6Sat18bWDA 200.0.0 By6Sat28 the time I’d got the fresh load of chips in the oven, I needed another wee-wee, this one was of the LHBLBWW (Long-Hosepipe-Like-Blasting like Wee-Wee). I went to check on the chips, and foolishy thought they could do with some turning over… The ointment again bubbled on the skin after my applying it!

6Sat29I eventually got settled to eat the meal. The chips came out alright, tasty, in fact! A bit of a treat. Cheesy potatoes as well, with garden peas, tomatoes, dried-onions and a beef pasty. Followed by a lemon mousse. Half-way through, and Josie rang the door both of the door chimes. ♫ I only want to be with you! ♫. She was returning the cleaned cutlery and plate, bless her. She said how she loved it, and I was spoiling her! ♥ I returned to the £300, c1968, grotty-beige, antiquated,  third or fourth-hand recliner, to finish the meal.

Erm… an hour or so later, I found myself nibbling at some Cheesy Curls! Guilty Mode Adopted!

Anne Gyna stopped my getting to sleep early, and I put the TV on. When I did nod-off, I slept for… wait for it. Eight Hours! Amazing for me, I must have needed it?

Inchcock Today – Friday 5th July 2019: A nerve-wracking Fraught Friday!

2019 July 5

2019 July 05

Friday 5th July 2019

Croatian: Petak, 5 Srpnja 2019

12:08hrs: I woke, well I didn’t really, I just gave up trying to get to sleep. I had to get up anyway, for a wee-wee (Hard to believe, I know. Hehe!) Dean Martin’s version of ‘Just one more chance, was firmly embedded in my head, and I was singing or humming to myself for hours and hours. Here’s a link for anyone who doesn’t know it, a smooth ballad and catchy tune. Just one more chance

My sort of music. Enough of my noctuary, back to the lactarium.

WD 0.51.0 I rose from the £300, second-hand, c1968, clapped out recliner, got the stick and made for the EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-wee Bucket), where I had to endure another of the ELDOUWW’s (Extra-Long-Drawn-Out-Unremitting-Wee-Wee’s). After what seemed a ridiculously long time, the flow finally ebbed, and the bucket was in need of emptying and sanitisationing. So, a limp to the kitchen, which revealed that after such a long time, Arthur Itis was in full-damage mode, pain wise, in the knees. Boy, he was in a bad mood!

5Fri001WD 0.51.0 I got the bucket cleaned and returned to near the computer, and had to use it again. This time, for a surprising VSHLP (Very Short-Hosepipe-Like-Painful) wee-wee. After the first one, this caught me out a bit.

I got the kettle on and did the health checks. With good results, today: Sys 136, Dia 66, Pulse 85, and Temperature at 35.1°c (93.2°f), is that a little high? No, I don’t think so.

Made a brew, and got the computer on. Checked the Google Calendar, to make sure I’d added the date for the Air Filter appointment for it to be serviced. I had. (Oh, yes! Haha!) Smug-Mode-Adopted.

WD 0.51.0 The first task was to get a top-graphic, and a Thought was done for the next post. This was when the fingers and hand started to dance-away to its heart’s content! Grumph, and bother! It came and went for several hours, for varying periods of time. During which my patience was tested to the full. As I was finishing off the Thought graphic, I had to go for a Porcelain Throne session. But, it was not to be. Everything seemed solid and immovable again. I washed, made a brew, and took another Senna tablet.

Then the big push, despite the jumping-fingers and the lousy language used, I pressed on and got the updating done. Finished and got it posted off.  But not, until gone 05:00hrs! Huh!

WD 0.51.0 I made a start on this blog but had the call to the Throne again. Full of hope for a successful evacuation this time, I grabbed the stick and was off to the wet room. What a change, still painful and a fair bit of bleeding, but far less resistance. This confused me a little. After some thought on the problem, I realised I had taken the last Senna, from a new pack that I had emptied earlier.

5Fri002So, maybe the old packet was a little out of date, and that was why I had been struggling to free things lately?

I took a snap of the plates-of-meat. The water retention has gone down well, the feet look healthier, and the leg-ulcer seems to be fading away again. New marks on top of the right foot. But it appears different each day lately.

I continued (Wee-wee interrupted frequently) with this blog for an hour or two, and went to make a mug of tea. The view of outside’s sky, made me get the camera, and go onto the balcony, at high risk of losing a chunk of finger when opening the metal spring opener that has to be pushed to bend the metal, and pulled towards you, to open the window, at the same time!

But, my bravery was rewarded with some half-decent shots of the cloud formations. I still can’t work out how to do Panorama shots on this camera, it will just not do them! So I took pictures across the sky. They were naturally beautiful, I thought.

5Fri08I got the peas podded and in the pan to marinate with some demerara sugar.

I’d better get the ablutions done, try to see Josie for when she wants her meal this weekend, and get out for a walk with the trolley. I must not stay in for too long, it makes one get idle.

Ah well, off to the wetroom. Mustn’t rush with the shaving, cutting of the skin and toe-5Fri08astubbing skills I have acquired! Hehe! All sorted.

WD 0.51.0 I noticed that the legs and knees were suddenly starting to return to their normal warped, fluid-filled, papsule covered status! However, the feet were looking and feeling much better, and the leg ulcer is hardly noticeable now? Every day something changes, sometimes more than once!

5Fri08bI made up some black bags and one for recycling and was going out the door with the trolley, and Josie came out, she kindly took the bags for me. Bless her cotton socks! But was in a rush to meet with her family, and I couldn’t find out which day and at what time she fancied the cheesy potato meal in the morning. Tsk!

5Fri09I stopped underneath the bottom trees on the footpath hill, that goes up into Woodthorpe Grange Park for a while. It was shaded and fresh, and I took a minute or two to take in the smells. Realising that this is now my tree copse, for I can never get into the trees again, but this little patch is a good substitute that I can walk 5Fri10into for a few moments and appreciate wildlife and the beauty of the wildflowers.

WD 0.51.0 As I started to continue up the hill, Dizzy Dennis came over me, and I considered going back to the flat. An uncomfortable sensation and the vagueness of mind increased a lot. So, I took it very slowly 5Fri11and carefully and carried on up into the park, determined to get some more photographicalisationing done.

I stopped under the pathway trees and took a shot of the fallen warped tree branches. A certain sadness always comes over me when I see this area as I pass by.

5Fri12As I neared the gates out onto Mansfield Road, my newly-found fixation and nephelognosy with the clouds made me take a picture of the sky, showing the fantastic patch of clouds in which I saw a figure that reminded me of something.

But I can’t find it now! Humph! Hehe!

5Fri13As I plodded up and over the hill into Sherwood, I spotted this agricultural machine doing a fair rate of knots and bouncing about.

I think the chap driving it, posed for me as I took this picture of him. Haha!

5Fri014Dizzy Dennis returned and was determined to ruin my day. I have to admit it, he won!

I decided to just walk down Mansfield Road and take some photographs, and catch the L9 bus back up to the flats. I felt a little fragile, and the mind started wandering.

WD 0.51.0 Down the hill, and took some photos. With a few Nottinghamian Off-Road Cyclist included.

5Fri018At the bus shelter, the amazing nubilous sky again caught my nephelococcygia’s attention. And once again, afterwards, when I viewed this picture, I could not see what it was that I had read or seen in the sky. I don’t know why I bother!

The bus arrived, and the short, jerky, almost violent side-saddled seat on the bus journey, was survived. Hehe!

WD 0.51.0 I was still not feeling up to scratch, as I walked along Chestnut Way back to Woodthorpe Court. Dizzy Dennis lingered, giving me a few afflictive moments en route.

5Fri019a

The appalling mess they had made of laying the lawn, irked me a bit. But, Nemo Mortalium Omnibus Horis Sapit (No Man is at all hours wise!) came to mind. And I thought of some of the things that I have done over the years! (I flinched and even eschewed at some of them, in embarrassment!)

But things cheered up when Christine caught up with me on the road, and we had a very welcome side-tracking chinwag moaning session and laughs! Bless her ♥. We went up in the elevator together, and I was so glad we did, she was in a gregarious mood, and in those few moments that we spoke and joked, she cheered me up no end!

WD 0.51.0 As I got into the flat, Damned Dizzy Dennis came at me again! I decided to get the nosh sorted first, as at least the dancing and shaking from the right-hand side limbs, was not so active!

As I got the meal on, I wen5Fri20t to put the three-wheeler away in the junk room and found a letter from Nottingham City Homes. Confirmation of Video Door-Entry Installation Date, for the flat. Next Friday.

The changed appointment day and time,  I confirmed on the Google Calendar.

5Fri20aThe meal was one of betterer ones, I think. Franks, chips (fries), garden peas, tomatoes and a mini-cheese and pickle pork pie. I had some caramelised onion pickle with it and milk bread and butter. A lemon mousse to follow.

WD 0.51.0 I had a bottle of spring water with some added orange cordial, and with the tray still nestled on my lap, I drifted off to sleep! Minutes later, I sprang back to life, and as expected, the tray fell off of my knee! Propitiously, I had eaten everything on the plate, apart from some bread. So there was minimal cleaning up to do!

WD 0.51.0 5Fri20cI got the evening medications taken and made a brew. While waiting for the kettle to boil, I popped out on the petrifyingly dangerous, light & view blocking, multi-window that can’t be reached to clean, and the finger chewing metal spring clip opener that needs to be pulled and pushed at the same time to open new balcony.

Once again, I could not resist snapping the clouds up in the sky.

5Fri20bThe magnificence of them did not escape my attention.

Nor did the metal-spring clip closer’s inability to let one close it quietly. I’m afraid it made one hell of a thud when I eventually got the window to close

19:00hrs, I woke with a start, some noise from above for a few seconds. Sounded like someone had dropped something on the floor. I hope it wasn’t himself! I pondered on going up to check on things. But then I heard some scraping and tapping noises, so I knew he was back working and was alright.

WD 0.51.0 I nodded off again, and was woken by I know not what? I had to have a look around, to satisfy myself that all was well. I opened the flat door to listen for any fire alarm, none in progress. I looked out of the window, the kitchen window, that required me to use the step ladder. I could have gone out on the balcony to have a look below, but the finger-mauling metal spring clip opener I deemed as more of a danger to me, that the using the step ladder was. As I was checking around, I had to visit the Porcelain Throne. I say visit, it was more like my moving into the wet room for the night! There I was, on the Throne, the evacuation half-way, and waiting painfully for something to move! I had a go at the crossword book, I’ve never known things to take so long!

WD 0.51.0 When finally the motion was completed, (Ah!) cleaning things, the blood and myself up, I took another Senna and pain killer and got back in the £300, second-hand, rickety, grotty-beige coloured, rusty, rickety, recliner. I fell asleep just as I was thinking that sleep may not come quickly. It did! But only for around four hours. But this was more than of late. Hey-Ho!

WD 0.0.0a 03:10hrs: I woke and released my overweight body from the £300, second-hand, c1968, grungy-beige coloured tatty recliner. Got the stick and had a WYSAOWW (Weak-Yet-Spraying-All-Over-Wee-Wee), in the partly-filled EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-wee Bucket). I had to empty and clean the bucket and myself afterwards. Sanitised the bucket, and had to use it again!

WD 0.0.0a Got the health checks, then the medications were done. Made a brew, and got onto the computer to update yesterday’s blog… Oh, dearie me!

Virgin5

WD 0.0.0a 03:25hrs. Very unfortunately, unwelcome, silly, cataclysmal, detrimental, soul-destroying, pathetic, and typical of old Inchy nowadays. Who, in conjunction with the amazingly unreliable Liberty-Global Virgin Media, and the Peripheral Neuralgia/Axonotmesis ailments, or as the Podiatrists said, too many ‘Issues’, and the photographicaIisationing  handicap: I managed, after hours and hours of work, to lose all the efforts (apart from the first couple of paragraphs) I’d done on this post! Mainly the damned fingers, they were jumping and pressing unknown keys, I got blue messages I did not understand, and the catastrophe ensued! Eventually, I stopped crying and swearing. Then I started again! Grrr! Nash! Sob!

So, I made up the post from the few distant memories I could recall, (not many) a few notes I had made, and the recall-prompting photo’s I’d taken. The dancing fingers, hand, arm and shoulder, may win today. If anything happens like this again, I’ll give up. It’s too soul destroying!

I finished the post update (Eventually, despite and in defiance of the problems I was having) and got it sent off to WordPress. It took me as much time making corrections as original typing, though. Most Aggranoyying!

I got the kettle on, and sat down with the sock-glide, and realised I’d not had done the ablutionising session yet. (I pick up things sometimes, belated, mind) I was going to get up 4Thu001again and spotted a rather intense, not discreet, or subtle, change in the leg-ulcer markings.

It looked like a burn mark maybe, but that is not the case? Unless I had been doing some unknown nocturnal gadding about? I’m pretty sure I had not, but who knows with me, nowadays? Hehe! So I took a photographicalisation of it. It’ll look different tonight or in the morning again. Ever-changing!

4Thu05Up and back to the kitchen, and the view outside, although nowhere near as good as it would have been through the old windows, was marvellous. I tried to take a panoramic shot of the scene, without any luck. I fear that since the Stroke, I just cannot take a panoramic shot at all. Even when I think the fingers are not shaking, the camera does, the instant I try to pan with it. I can get over this with the still shots. I’m trying to train myself to use the left hand, which as you can understand, is not comfortable or sometimes possible, with a right-handed camera. (Grump, moan, complain!) Bottom-Lip-Out-Sulk-Mode engaged!

The shadow of the rising sun from behind was caught reasonably well in the first snap I took. The second one, I tried to get the balconies of the other fine folk’s flats in the frame, as well as the distant view.

3Wed01gI had a nosey at the leaflets that had been delivered from the Residents Association Team.

One about a two-course lunch, Liver & Onion, pudding & custard, £3, Friday 12th July.

The next one, Shopping Trips, one for Leeds – £20 a seat. Another for Grantham, Friday 19th July, £13 a ride.

Then one: Making Music Together, if you play a musical instrument, come along share your music! IIth July 13:00hrs. To be confirmed 8th August & 12 Sept, location to be confirmed.

And a leaflet with details of a helpline for the old & lonely. 24-hour contact number and some features of it.

5Fri003aAnd a letter from Nottingham City Homes, about a visit coming on 10th July, from a company called DCUK – Re: Bathroom Extract Cleaning. To check the airflow at the fan – Remove existing fan cover – clean ducting and install a new fire-rated vent cover.

The old heating cupboard and storage area is to be emptied and made easily accessible, and all items removed from this area. Huh! Have you seen it and the stuff crammed into it?

4Thu15

WD 0.0.0a Ah, yes, I have to say that the desperately wanted, and much longed-for peace of mind and rest here the old people’s flats, and our growing senile without disturbance or hassle of any kind… is non-existent here!

Made the tea and back to the computer and created a couple of graphics for the Inchcock Today page tops and Thoughts theme.Three wee-wees, all now if the SSPWW (Short-Sharp-Painful-Wee-wee) variety.

Time to get the ablutions tended to. Then I can catch the 10:30hr L9 bus to Arnold. Oh, I’d better check the Googe calendar first to see if any appointments are down for today… No, all clear. I’ll call in to get some hearing aid batteries at the Arnold Health Centre.

I took three black and a recycling bag out with me to the chute, on the out.

4Thu05aI gathered all the needs, and was off to the wet room, stick in hand. All went well, and I was soon rushing to get out in time to catch the L9. I passed Riechsführeress and Catwalk Model Warden Deana talking to a lady, Good Morning’s were exchanged. At the bus stop, were the two Scottish lads from Winchester Court, and we had a chinwag and set the world to rights at the same time. Hehe!

4Thu06I took a photographicalisation of Winchester Court, with the jet-streak contrails in the sky above. It came out alright, and I was pretty pleased with this left-handed shot.

We were joined at the last moment by a few other tenants from both flats.

It was a fine morning, the only thing that unsettled me a bit, was with me having the troller with me, I had to sit on the side-saddle seats. An uncomfortable and even painful experience, especially with the driver being heavy on the breaks. I offered my cheerios to each of the others who the others got off in Sherwood, one even acknowledged me. Haha!

4Thu07I spent most of the journey, fighting to stay on the seat, struggling to hold on to the three-wheeler, or banging my elbow on the rails.

I found myself to be the only passenger on board after Sherwood. Plenty got on en route mind you.

Once I dropped off in Arnold, it looked and or, reminded me of Skegness or Mablethorpe, in the sunshine and with people wandering aimlessly about. Hehe!

I poddled slowly around, calling in endless shops. Wilko, to get the liquid soapflakes. Chambers meats, but the roast belly pork looked very fatty, so I didn’t invest.

Then to the Boyes store, where I got Dettol, citrus Zoflora, drain unblocker, can opener and some Bamboo socks!

Next to the Saher shop: Deo fab, air spray, olive oil and Colgate foaming toothpaste.

I called in Iceland then and got some Southern Fried chips (fries). Never tried these, they look like they might be tasty.

Finally, to Asda. I came out of there with far too much stuff, and had the devil of a job getting them in the trolley and shoulder bag, and had to buy another bag! I came out of Asda with Cheesy Curls (2 packs of six bags), fresh pod peas, DVDs and a Bag for Life!

Caught the L9 front High Street, and was soon home. No Winwood residents got on the bus en route. I dropped off, thanked the driver and made my way to Woodthorpe Court at the far end of Chestnut Way.

WD 0.0.0a During the hobble, the strap on the shoulder bag broke! Humph!

WD 0.0.0a The new lawn that was laid about three weeks ago, in front of the being built and finished off Windwood Court and Wardens detention cells, was, well, here are some photos of it… So sad!

4Thu12

Dearie me, good gracious me, and Pshaw! Worra Mess! I wonder who contracted the firm that made such a hodgepodge job of the new lawn? Nottingham City Homes, or Most likely Willmott Dixon?

4Thu12aGot in the flat, had a WYSAOWW (Weak-Yet-Spraying-All-Over-Wee-Wee), washed, and into the dressing gown. Got the dinner cooking.

Aldi’s Sopocka Slices and tomato sandwiches, gherkins, beetroots, garden peas and the new Southern Fried chips (fries). Which tasted smashing! Garlic in the seasoning I think. The Limoncello dessert was naughty but nice!

A Flavour Rating of 8.8/10! Got the evening medications were taken, a bottle of spring water with orange cordial added from the fridge, and settled down in the exasperating, c1968, Grotty-beige coloured, second-hand recliner to watch a Rumpole of the Bailey episode off of DVD. Fell asleep during the second set of advertisements. Fancy that!

Woke an hour later, had to have a wee-wee, this time of the LHBLWWs (Long Hosepipe-Blasting like Wee-wee) variety. Made myself jump! Hahaha!

Back in the recliner, and decided to watch TV… Fell asleep again!

3Wed01aThursday 3rd July 2019: 0325hrs: Very unfortunate, unwelcome, silly, cataclysmal, detrimental, soul-destroying, pathetic, and typical of old Inchy nowadays. Who, in conjunction with the amazingly unreliable Liberty-Global Virgin Media, and the Peripheral Neuralgia/Axonotmesis ailments, or as the Podiatrists said, too many ‘Issues’, and the photographicaIisationing  handicap: The following updating in the morning, I managed, after hours and hours of work, to lose all the efforts (apart from the first couple of paragraphs) I’d done on this post!

Eventually, I stopped crying and swearing. Then I started again! Grrr! Nash! Sob!

So, I made this up from a few distant memories I could remember, (not many) a few notes I had made, and the recall-prompting photo’s I’d taken.

Bulgarian: Сряда, 3 юли 2019

04:00hrs. I woke late, it was light, getting up was a fight. (Free poetry thrown in there, folks, Hehe!) Knocked things off of the Ottoman, as I freed myself from the clutches of the c1968 second-hand, grotty-beige coloured, near-dilapidated, rickety recliner. The EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-wee Bucket) was utilised, for a messy WYSAOWW (Weak-Yet-Spraying-All-Over-Wee-Wee).

WD 0.0.0. c I had to sprint (Gawd, if ever I’ve used the wrong word, this is it! Hehehe!) to the wet room. As I settled on the Throne, the stick I’d rested against the wall, slipped down and the handle-part landed in my shin and slid down hitting me on toes. But it didn’t register with me entirely at the time. Cause the evacuation needed all my attention. Most reluctant again. Plenty of bleeding after it eventually got released, with a kerplonk! Much cleaning to be done. Thinking about it, I must have one of the most stubbed, trodden-on and ugly, big toes in England? Haha!

3Wed01cVague.

The Morrison order arrived. A big one as well!

The chap had got in without ringing the intercom, so someone had let him in again. The NCH management has left posters and sent letters to each flat asking us not to admit anyone, but let the caller use the communication device and whoever they are 3Wed01dvisiting for any reason, can let them in.  But with the man having on his uniform and the groceries with him, as with seeing a nurse, it is hard not to admit them. A problem this, cause one day someone is going to come in wearing a uniform of sorts and will be let in!

Well, this big lot means I will not need another delivery for next week. My having an order every two weeks, is working out well. As long as I can get out for bread, milk and fresh stuff in between. I’m not doing too bad at all, under the circumstances (The ailments). Ah, no, the ‘Too many Issues’ It sounds a lot posher! Hehe!

3Wed01hI spent many hours on CorelDraw doing graphics for later use on the blogs. Far too long! With the speed of typing and doing the artwork being handicapped by ‘Too many Issues’ and all the correcting work needed, it is hard work and time-consuming!

The meal was a bit special. A Flavour-Rating of a mammoth 9/10 was given for it. The mushrooms, done with Balsamic vinegar, the 3Wed01ipeas, the tomatoes were all great tasting. Yet the ham off-cuts and milk bread sarnies were the best of the lot. Gorgeous!

Settled down with a Rumpole of the Bailey to watch on TV. I took this photograph of the pins while sat sitting there.

WD 0.0.0. c The leg ulcer is trying to return again, I think. Some new blotches appearing on the ankle. But it seems to change each day, recently. Keeps the Hypochondriasis side going. Munchausen’s syndrome, I do not need. Hahaha!

Tuesday 2nd July 2019

Welsh: Dydd Mawrth 2 Gorffennaf 2019

4:05hrs. I woke, still feeling tired, but this was soon forgotten, when I realised the need for the Porcelain Throne was urgent, top-priority and as ineluctable, as it was! I got hold of the walking stick, and grudgingly freed my voluminous flobby-body from the clutches of the near-dilapidated, rickety, gungy-beige coloured, c1968, £300 second-hand, sometimes working, dangerous, but comfortable recliner. I was off to the wet room to satisfy my needs.

To my surprise, the brain had retained a modicum of cerebricity, for I remembered to take the stick with me, and to carefully avoid any toe-stubbing against the WC seat-riser’s metal legs!

wd 0.0.255 The evacuation was a painful, unwilling effort again, and much blood flowed and needed cleaning up afterwards. Perhaps the INR level had gone up, at least I assumed it had, because Harold’s  Haemorrhoids, were not the cause of the bleeding. After sorting out the cleansing of the room and myself, I took a wee-wee, and what a different type this time. A WYPSAOWW (Weak-Yet-Persistent-Spraying-All-Over-Wee-Wee). A new kind of variety this one! More cleaning up had to be done again! Tsk!

2Tue04No sooner had got into the kitchen, and another wee-wee was needed.

I used the EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-Wee bucket). This time around, the action was of an RDDWW (Reluctant-Drip-Drip-Wee-Wee). Well, it saves me getting bored!

2Tue06A wash and I took a photo out through the thick-framed, light & view blocking, multi-glass paned that can’t be reached for cleaning, and the step ladders are needed to view down below, in the event of a fire alarm activation that I can’t hear new windows anyway.

2Tue05T’was a red sky on the horizon this morning.

I got on with the Health Checks and took the medications. The ageing sphygmomanometer I bought from Boots, the one that said ‘Made in India’ on the box, and ‘Made in China’ on the actual machine, worked at the third attempt. The results looked fine to me. Sys 147, Dia 73, Pulse 79 and the Temperature was 35.1°c.

Well, well, another wee-wee! And a different mode too. This one was of the SSDWW (Short-Sensationless-Dribbling-Wee-Wee) variety. At least there was no pain with it. Haha!

wd 0.0.255 Oh dear! Back to the Porcelain Throne. (I decided on no going out today, to avoid any getting caught -short!) The same again this time, hard, painful work to free the reluctant mass!

wd 0.0.255 As I started the computer, the Peripheral Neuropathy stimulated dancing and jumping began in the hands and shoulder! The timing was terrible, just as I was about to start on creating page headers in CorelDraw. By the time that I’d got one graphic done, and updated the Monday post and sent it off – about six-hours had passed! And a varied mixture of about six wee-wees had been taken!

As I went to make a brew, carefully though, the hand and shoulder that gave me so much hassle in doing the blog up, were still prancing about to their heart’s content! Grumph! Sorry-for-myself=mode adopted!

2Tue07I had started to feel a bit weak or tired, just delicate, and the mind was becoming a little vague. This worried me.

When I noticed the insect bites, blood papsules, blotches, whatever they were, had increased on the lower arm?

I felt the need for yet another Porcelain Throne Visit arising. So off to the wet room, what still had 2Tue08the aroma lingering from the last visit. Hehe!

The Porcelain Throne alarm was a false one this time?

I must admit, when I was washing the dandies and looked in the mirror, it was not precisely a very encouraging sight to see. I seem to have gone all pale and blotchy in the face, again. I was unsure of whether or not, to call, phone or see the Doctor, or dial 111? Hehehe!

I continued with beginning this post, up to now, then went onto CorelDraw to do some more templates. But it was hard, slow and frustrating work with the dancing digits. After an hour or two, and three wee-wees, I needed another. I visited the wet room this time, so I could take a look at how the pallid face was going on. But I didn’t feel too bad in myself.

2Tue09Ablutions were done, and I got ready to go out.

I spotted a couple walking their dogs in the bottom field. They went up and into the tree Copse, and a twinge of jealously irked me!

I wondered; I don’t suppose I’ll ever manage to be fit enough to have another beloved hobble through this tree copse, again? Sulk-Mode Adopted!

I took a photo, well, the nubilous sky demanded it.

2Tue10aI found myself doing some nephelococcygia (The act of seeking and finding shapes in clouds) for ages. I kept thinking I could make out a face in them, then losing it again.

A final wee-wee before I left to get the L9 bus down the hill to Sherwood. It turned out to be of the WYSAOWW (Weak-Yet-Spraying-All-Over-Wee-Wee), which needed some cleaning up afterwards.

12:30hrs: Off to the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights, Hauptbereitschaftsleiteress Warden’s Temporary HQ. Sarcasm & Insult distribution area. Tenants Socialisationistical Meeting Shed. Telling Inchcock off Zone. Where things like crockery and pottery get stolen from, Rumourmongering Clinic, and somewhere to rest while waiting for the bus, Portakabin.

As I got out of the lift, Jenny’s Frank arrived. And taking his photo, a half-decent one became a problem. The hands and fingers started dancing, and Frank wouldn’t stay still at first. Hehe!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

We had a chinwag, and I hobbled out to the shed. Only a few folks inside, but plenty out at the bus stop. Who, after natter, I joined for a gossip and earwigging session. Joycie arrived. She was meeting up with her  Sisters for a drinking and laugh, in Nottingham. I intended to go down on the Arnold bound bus to get some fresh garden peas and bread.

wd 0.0.255 But, 2Tue12cI got on the wrong bus! Hard to believe even for me, the number of times I’m doing this lately! So, no Sherwood. I got off on Woodborough Road and limped along to the Aldi store.

I came out with Soughdough baguettes, lemon mini-muffins, peas, some lemon yoghourts, vinegar and something 2Tue12dI tried for the first time; Halloumi Fries. I’ll try these tonight, fingers crossed on what they taste like.

Paid at the tills, no shaking fingers, arms, leg or shoulder there today, unlike last Sunday’s palava a2Tue12end embarrassment! No involuntary external dancing at all today – and I hope that is the way it stays.

I walked along Woodthorpe Road, towards and down Woodthorpe Rise, and the L9 bus stop.

2Tue12fWhile waiting for the bus, one of the dangerous Nottinghamian Pavement Cyclists came by, and hit the trolley with her pedals as she passed me! Humph!

A lady I often talk with on the bus arrived, and we chatted. She got off two stops later, and I went down to the Winwood Heights Complex.

I walked to the flats with a lady tenant, and we had a laugh and natter as we did so.

In the flat, I was again in a weary state, so early as well? A wee-wee and I got the meal cooking. Taking care not to fall asleep while doing it. Ahem!

2Tue12gWell, what a feast I had! The Halloumi slices were wonderfully seasoned, the beef pasty great, along with the tomatoes, sliced potatoes, and garden peas. A lemon mini-muffin and jar of lemon yoghourts went down well, too. The overall flavour rating was 8.2/10.

A wee-wee, a wash and a change of togs to nightwear, which means I got some fresh PP’s on, and everything else off. Scary, I know, Sorry!

2Tue14wd 0.0.255 I found out I’d left the Brunswick smoked ham out of the fridge on Sunday, and had put it in the biscuit box, instead! Spit and bother, I hate myself at times!

The World Cup, Ladies Semi final, twixt England and the USA, began. After much-biased cursing, a penalty retracted by Var, Bookings, a penalty given wrongly by VAR, a late sending off by the Brazilian officials. (The Brazil that since 1970, where over 700,000 square kilometres (270,000 sq mi) of the Amazon rainforest have been destroyed. Just thought I’d mention it). No doubt about it though, the best team won – oh did I not mention it? America won 2-1.

Today, the other semi-final between the Netherlands and Sweden will take place. Then on Sunday, the final. I will transfer my support to the American’s now. Netherland (Amsterdam counts about 250 coffee-Drug-shops and most of them are located in the Red Light District. From psychedelic to hipster-ish but also from very local ones to more touristic places, each of Amsterdam coffeeshops has its own atmosphere. You will surely find one that suits you perfectly. They are not only to smoke weed. They are real social places where you can easily meet people and spend some good times with friends. Watching TV, playing chess or card games and much more can be done here. And always in a very relaxing way) will play Sweden (They have an outright, zero-tolerance policy ban on the possession, sale, transport, and cultivation of cannabis, including for medical use). Given that Britain had been unable to prevent the successful invasion by Nazi Germany of both France and Norway, the Swedish government was not convinced that the British could protect them and opted to continue exports. The iron ore provided much needed gold bullion, food and coal from Germany.

So, there you are, Druggies v Abstainers in the semi-final of the world cup. I’ve no idea what this means, and little interest in the match, either. But whichever team wins, I just want them to lose against America. Bias? Me? Yes!

3Wed01awd 0.0.255 Yet another little sleep night. Again I tried all the tips from the stroke ward hospital. Put a hat on to hide the light. Think of happier times, (well I spent hours trying to find one! Hehe!). Breathing deeply. Avoided nicotine. Do exercises, I did! Turn the heating off, it was already off! Very late on, when I eventually nodded off.

Hence, I didn’t get up until around 03:30hrs, and could not get back to kip again… Schmuck! Life, is becoming of a little less value, nowadays. Haha!

Inchcock Today – Mon 1 July 2019: INR nurse, Sister Jane rang, Computerisationing marathon, but little achieved! (Dancing fingers). Humph!

Finnish: Maanantai 1 Heinäkuuta 2019

05:00hrs. I sort of sprang awake this morning, originally somewhat antipathetic at the idea of getting out of the £300. c1968, gungy-beige, rickety recliner. I soon realised that a few surprises were in store for me! Firstly, I saw how light and what the time was. Worked out that I’d just had seven hours kip. A rarity nowadays! Recognised the signs from the innards that I needed a wee-wee and to use the Porcelain Throne.

I rose gingerly, but no longer reluctantly from the quaintly antiquated recliner, got the stick and utilised the hardly used EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-Wee bucket). The RWPSWW (Reluctant-Weak-Painful-Spraying-Wee-Wee) that followed took some stopping of the flow, well, trickle!

Then off to the wet room, and settled on the Porcelain Throne. The evacuation was about as painful as the wee-wee, was, but less so, than of late. Some bleeding took place.

WD 51.0.0b The black spots or papsules under the left little toenail were increasing in size?

1Mon01a

1Mon02The brain slowly began to operate in an imitation, semi-logical mode. (You’ll find this belated thought process activity as you get older, so be prepared, folks!)

WD 51.0.0b Some new bruises had appeared. One on the left arm and one on the lower right arm. Trying to recall what caused them, defeated me. It’s unfathomable; No tumbles or fall had, no bags or knocks as far as I know or can remember.

1Mon03I rinsed the hand washing and hung it to dry.

When I got the medications out, it dawned on me, how few there are to take nowadays.

I’m slowly getting used to this but still have the feeling occasionally, that something is missing. Hehe! I did take another Senna, to soften things up a bit, and try to avoid the bleeding from the rear end evacuations.

1Mon07The sun seemed reluctant to put in an appearance this morning. But it did later on in the day/.

The INR nurse, the beautiful Polish gal, is calling today between 09:00 > 11:00hrs to take my blood sample. A sweet-natured helpful gal. I must remember to give her the Brunswick ham I got for her from Aldi yesterday, and the lemon wafers, to thank her for the assistance she has given me.

I got the computer on and made a start on this blog. Then began to update the Sunday Diary. I must remember to stop at 07:30hrs, to get the ablutions done and ready things for the nurses visit. I remembered too! Shame cause the hands etc. were being very good to me, and I had to stop typing. Oy Vey!

The ablutions went very well this morning. I took my time and was careful. All I got was a little cut shaving. No bleeding from Litte Inchy, the teeth/gums or Haemorrhoid Harold. A slightly puffed-up ‘Vainglory-Mode’ Adopted

WD 51.0.0b Som1Mon06e more papsules, or whatever they are, had come up on the leg and feet. Another Flat 72 Mystery! Haha!

WD 51.0.0b Oh, and yet another mystery, not so rare by any means, but I can only find one of the pair of long Balsa Socks. No, I got that wrong as well, Bamboo Socks! So I donned the shorter pair that I’d bought from Amazon.

Another Porcelain Throne evacuation was needed after I had just got dressed and was walking out of the wet room. Tsk! Back in the shower room again, and found that the Senna was still not being very productive! Humph! Still, the stink left behind was not as putrid as it has been. Haha!

WD 51.0.0b I made a brew of tea and got back on updating this post. And the damned peripheral neuropathy inspired shaking and dancing began in earnest! The shoulder seemed much more affected than usual, the others, fingers, hands, legs and feet were in the normal: Knock-And-Annoy-Inchcock-Mode! The ‘Vainglory-Mode’ of earlier, changed to a sort of ‘Soddit-I’m-pissed-off-Mode! Hehe!

09:25hrs: While waiting for the nurse to arrive, I went on to update the TFZer Facebook photos.

The lady arrived, and we mad a quick chinwag as she took the blood for me. I saw her off and carried on with the TFZing for an hour or two. A long job catching up, but the fingers were easing off.

I should have got some graphics tops done, but the energy faded quickly for some reason. I don’t understand why, after all, I’d got up late for me, and had a decent sleep last night for a change?

1Mon15I checked that I had put the Stroke appointment on the Google Calendar. I’ve to go to:

C-SKR2C Stroke Medicine, and see Dr S K Ragunathan, Outpatient Department, North Corridor. N5. Nottingham City Hospital. On Tuesday, 20th August 2019 at 11:15hrs. They need me to take with me: This letter. All glasses (Spectacles), and hearing aids. A list of all medications and dosages. And an up to date Mobile phone number. And, gave me an email address I must visit: WWW.nuh.nhs.uk/8-steps-to-safety/ Well, I had a look at it. And I got this:

1Mon16

Ah-well! It’s not unusual, as Tom Jones sang.

I set about getting some fodder sorted. A haddock in batter then added the fish cakes fifteen-minutes later, and another quarter an hour after I put in the sourdough baguette. Hope it turns out alright. I’m fading fast here, so tired and weary. Also puzzled as to why? 1Mon33

Getting the tray and meal served up, I was pleased with how it looked and took a photographicalisation of it.

WD 51.0.0b Picking up the tray to put on the server-trolley, I managed to drop a fish finger and a fish cake, along with the cutlery, when the shakes came on. Saving a lot of it from falling as I caught the tray, I got food all over myself and the floor in the process. Some of it was hot! Tsk! It had got coldish by the time I dished the dropped fodder, and cleaned things and myself up and was ready to eat the meal. A disappointment, I’m sure it would have been close to a record Flavour Rating if it had still hot when I consumed it.

Still, it saved me eating so much. Giggle! A rating of 7.4/10 was given for it. I think I missed a treat here; damned peripheral neurosis! No, I meant neuropathy. Although looking up neurosis in the morning: (abnormality, hang-up, mental derangement, mental instability), I might have been right in the first place! Hehehe!

I started to watch some TV and was amazed when I lasted over an hour before nodding off. As I woke up, I was not sure if the door chimes had woken me up, that would be something. Or if I had just woken up while th1Mon34e chimes were ringing. Getting up I stubbed the little toe on the left foot, got the stick and hobble to open the door.

WD 51.0.0b Realising too late, that I only had on a pair of socks! It was Josie, bless her.

She can’t grasp the idea of my going to bed early, and getting up early routine, yet. (As indeed, I can’t get used to Josies staying up late and sleeping in late either!) I hid behind the door and opened it just a few inches. Bless her, she had bought some potatoes and a pack of tomatoes for me. I red-facedly thanked her, profusley. Oh dearie me!

As I got back, I got the socks off and dived into the old recliner, but no sleep came. The humiliation of my opening the door almost in the raw bothered me. Then I noticed the legs had gone all warped and looked like they do sometimes when Arthur Itis or Colin Cramps are rampant. But, neither were giving me any bother at the time?

2Tue03

2Tue03aI found this photo on the card in the morning. And it was a mystery to me. What is was of though? Well, the arm, yes. I don’t think I intended to take this one! After a little studying of the picture, I think the left side is the leg, and right the arm?

If nothing else, the Axonotmesis, and Wee-weeing are giving me some variety in life! Haha! For the next wee-wee was of a far different mode again. It was an SSPWW (Short-Sharp-Painful-Wee-wee).

The sweet Morphius inspired sleep still refused to come. Another disturbed sleep and lack of ability to nod-off! I tried the TV, but the brain doggedly resisted sleeping, as it usually would have done? So, I got the book to read. But again, no drooping eyelids, despite my feeling so drained. Peeing me-off this was! I had a go at the crossword book, but a total lack of concentration soon made me give that up. Now getting ridiculously late, I went back to viewing the TV… at last, I drifted off into blessed, heaven-sent sleep! No idea what time it was, but it was well into the morning… However, I managed three hours restful slumber, before waking in urgent need for the Porcelain Throne! Humph!

Inchcock Today – Sun 30 June 2019: A heterogeneous Sunday for old chap. The fool also walked up to Aldi and limped painfully back down. Hehehe!

2019 30 June

2019 May 25

Sunday 30th June 2019

Welsh: Dydd Sul 30ain Mehefin 2019

WD 0.0.0a 02:00hrs: I didn’t precisely wake-up, cause I’d been snuggled up in the second-hand, £300, c1968, near-dilapidated, rickety, rattling, faded-gungy-beige coloured, sometimes working, uncomfortable recliner, for hours! Trying to get to sleep, finally giving up trying. I needed a wee-wee anyway.

WD 0.0.0a I got stood up, grabbed the walking stick, and took the few paces to the EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-wee Bucket), and had a UWTWW (Unwilling-Weak-Trickling-Wee-Wee). Like the previous three I’d taken over the sleepless night, the evacuation was accompanied with an obnoxious, industrial-strength effluvium, and the colouring was of an odd, almost banana shade of yellow, and a smidge cloudy. I had to take the bucket to the wet room, to sanitise it and get rid of the odour. I had a spray around with the air-freshener as well!

WD 0.0.0a I was coming out of the wet room and had to return for another wee-wee. This time, a right sharp one, of the VSHLP (Very-Short-Hosepipe-Like-Painful) mode. I wasn’t expecting one of these and could not help but spray the WC, floor, cabinet, wall and myself. I got caught in the splash-back! I felt a right jobbernowle! I had to spend a long time cleaning things up afterwards, accompanied by some muttering and naughty cursing under my breath! Haha! I think it must be another urine infection. These things always seem to come on at the weekend, when no help is available! I only finished a course of antibiotics the week before last as well. Tsk! Ah, well!

I started doing the updating of the Saturday post. During which, yet two more, different wee-wees had to be taken. These ones were both of the LSPWWW (Long Slow Painful Weak Wee-wee) variety. They say that a change is as good as a rest… The nincompoops and schmucks!

I got the kettle on and did the hand-washing, only a t-shirt and a pair of socks.

WD 0.0.0a I suddenly had to go to utilise the Porcelain Throne. I only just made it in time. I anticipated the usual ‘sit-there-and-do-the-crossword-book’; while going through the pain and effort to encourage things along. But not this time – there was a lot of it, but it flowed of its own accord, leaving a similar industrial-strength effluvium, that filled the room and my lungs! Yet again, I had to spray around some air-freshener and disinfect things! (A good job I got the citrus spray and Dettol lavender antiseptic in bulk while they were on offer) Whatever this ailment/infection is, it seems to be affecting my front and rear exits, and I suppose, the innards? Still, the differing wee-wee varieties are unusual. Haha!

WD 0.0.0a I washed up again and went to make the brew and take the medications. Oh, dear, I could not find the medication blister pack currently in use. I didn’t panic, but I fretted a little. I could see the other three weeks packs in the drawer, and remembered (vaguely) that last night I thought I’d keep the current one separate, so as not to get confused. (Of course, the thought of me not getting confused, was ludicrousness and nonsensicalness in the extreme!) I went through all of the drawers, cabinets, checked in the junk room, and shower room without any success.

WD 0.0.0a Now panic was brewing up! I tried to calm down and leave things and try looking later, but this was not easy. I decided to take some pictures of the red sky, from the unwanted new kitchen light & view-blocking windows, with the glass it is impossible to reach to clean. I made four efforts, all using a different setting, so I could learn the difference between them. But they all look the same to me?

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

7Sun11As I was leaving the kitchen, Aha! I spotted the partly used medication blister pack currently in use! I must have decided, although I do know why, to store them on top of the tea bags, and they had fallen down between the cooker and cupboard.

Well, I never! I took the medications and made the mug of tea. I forgot to do the health checks! Guilt-Mode Adopted!

Finally, after I don’t know how many hours, I got around to finishing off the updating of yesterday’s blog. Only the arm and shoulders seemed interested in doing much Axonotmesis inspired dancing about. The hands and fingers only gave me the odd spot of frustration, so I got the Inchcock Today finished quicker than usual. Smug-Mode-Adopted!

I had to make some page top graphics and Inchcock Thoughts up, and get a few advance templates made up. So I went on CorelDraw and Google to use and adapt any suitable pictures to use. Well, that took a long time as well. However, the fingers are still not acting too wicked. So, I’ll leave the ablutions for a while and get the templates done… Oh, not yet, I’m off to the Porcelain Throne again… Same again, evacuation-wise!

Computer off. Got the ablutions tended to, only one little nick with minimal bleeding, in the shaving department. Dressed and refreshed, I made up four bags for the waste chute, and took the waste disposal unit; calling on Josie en route and on the way back. No answers, though. Not too worried, cause it’s early for her to be up yet. I only wanted to know if she needed anything from Aldi getting. A night gal, she is!

Down with the three-wheel trolley and shoulder bag. Had a few words with Mary, who was in the laundry room. Gawd, it looks well shabby in there today. Out and along Chestnut Way, the strength of the wind caught me out, blimus, it was strong, but warm with it. I took some photographs as I hobbled along.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

7Sun23I somehow got up the third steepest hill, in a reasonable time, and took this semi-dramatic photo of the changing sky, at the corner of Woodborough Road and Sherwood Rise.

Even windier up at the top, but still really warm with it.

I hobbled on to the Lidl…, no, Aldi store, to find out I had got there too early, and it was not 7Sun24open yet.

WD 0.0.0a En route, a naughty Nottinghamian Pavement cyclist shot by me, and as I got the camera out to snap the dangerous ignoramus chap, a female Nottinghamian Pavement cyclist was coming from the other direction.

More Nottinghamian cyclist as I walked to Porchester Road junction lights, and crossed over the 7Sun25road, but the damned camera was telling me the battery needed charging, and I missed the opportunity as they shot away out of view. Tsk!

I took an across the road picture of Bennett Street, I think it was. This show how England’s old narrow streets look, for my foreign cyber friends.

7Sun25aI doubled back toward the Aldi store, passing some shops on Woodborough Road. A new Chinese takeaway and eat-in, is opening in unfortunate old bankrupt Toney’s takeaway and eat-in, Caribbean Bistro. I think he has opened a shop in another location in Nottingham, but I’m not sure. Anyway, three shops down the road is another Chinese takeaway! How can they expect it to pay?

WD 0.0.0a I got into the shop, and almost immediately, the flipping shakes in the hand, arm and shoulder jumping kicked off. I was getting some extremely odd looks. I saw the pod peas on the top shelf of the fridge, but would dare to try and reach them with the jerky arm, and ask a chap if he’d please to pass me a pack of peas down. He was alright about it and handed one to me. I got the sourdough baguettes in the basket. Then some tomatoes. I went to the fridge where the Brunswick Smoked Ham is kept, and the hand really had a session with me. I dropped the packets I was trying to get a hold of, then I let the basket! I was not very popular with the nearby shoppers. One lady helped me pick up the goods and put them in the shopping bag. I couldn’t thank her as she was off like a shot, looking a bit wary of me, after assisting me.

Things calmed down ailment-wise then. I got a pack of crispy smoked bacon and saw some excellent value smoked ham offcuts, that looked really tasty, and I weakened and got a packet. Bin bags next, and finally a box of two cream doughnuts. I can share them with Josie later. I got to the long queue at the checkout.

WD 0.0.0a When it got to my turn, the dancing started just as I was packing the things away – I was so disconcerted! Dropped the cream cake box, cooked ham and bacon on the floor, then the should bag slipped down an joined them.  I was struggling to get down and retrieve them, and the bloke on the till was waiting to be paid… a chap waiting behind for his turn, (it turned out to be the one who’d passed me the pod peas earlier), came forward and collected all the stuff up for me and packed it as well! I thanked him profusely, and red-facedly. Paid the bill and, I assumed, moved away to gather myself for a moment or two. The dancing and jumping had stopped, but not the embarrassment of the situation. The discomposure and uneasiness faded a bit when I got outside, but the edginess and flusterment remained with me for a good while.

7Sun26Thankfully, no more jerking or dancing incidents took place before I got home.

As I got to The Wells Road, I noticed that all the cars waiting to join the main Woodborough Road looked the same basic shape to me? Why I saw this, I don’t know, but it was a sign that I was getting over the Peripheral Neuropathy attack; if that’s the right wording?

As I began walking down Sherwood Rise, or should that be Mapperley Rise? I’ll check… I went on Google Maps; It should be Mapperley Rise.

7Sun34

I photographed a thing of beauty, one of ugliness, and another bit of nature and beauty, on the verge and hedging. Bless her!

We parted at the home she lives in, and I pressed on to the apartments.

7Sun30The mobile rang, but it stopped by the time I’d got it out to answer it.

I’ve just noticed I had missed off a picture, that I took on Mapperley Rise. Across the road was the collapsed garage, with the embankment behind it, having collapsed. I think they had replaced the old signage with new. So maybe it will soon get mended?

7Sun31The wind had played more havoc on Chestnut Way. Some fencing was blown down, and more than sufficient rubbish had blown into the Woodthorpe Court frontage.

U in the elevator, and called at Josies flat and rang the bells. No answer again. Now I was beginning to worry about her again.

Into my flat and I had a wee-wee first job. A UWTWW (Unwilling-Weak-Trickling-Wee-Wee) mode. Of which the many following ones I had to have, were, all the same.

I got the nosh purchased, in the fridge. Went for another wee-wee, as the doorbell chimes rang out. I hastened to the door, and I’m glad to report that it was Jocie! She returned the meal stuff all washed up to me. Josie mentioned how she had enjoyed the meal, and almost took a photo of it. Chest-Swelling-Mode-Adopted! I gave her the fresh cream doughnut, and she licked her lips, and she told me she was going to make a cup of coffee and eat the cake now! Slightly Bigger-Chest-Swelling-Mode-Adopted! Hahaha! I wished all the bestest and asked her to take care.

I then got on with updating this blog and getting the photographs organised. (In between the wee-wees!) I was well-pleased with the fingers and hands etc. not being bad at all now! I looked up if there was another wording of Peripheral Neuropathy, and found this little gem of a question and answer on Google:

Q: Can you die from peripheral neuropathy?
A: If the underlying cause of peripheral neuropathy isn’t treated, you may be at risk of developing potentially serious complications, such as a foot ulcer that becomes infected. This can lead to gangrene (tissue death) if untreated, and in severe cases, may mean the affected foot has to be amputated. Any breaking of bones, may not be recognised my the nerves. If not treated immediatley, this can be fatal.

So, how come they told me the Mary Potter Leg Ulcer Clinic, that nothing could be done about. Ah, that may have been for the Axonotmesis they also diagnosed? Sorry, I spoke (typed). Hehe!

Sister Jane phoned on the landline. Brother-in-Law Pete was walking to the paper shop this morning and came across a car parked up with the driver slumped over the steering wheel. (It all happens to our family dunnit?) He could not get the fellows attention, so phoned the police. Who attended within two minutes. (Obviously not Nottingham Police then!) The line kept fading and going crackly, so I missed some bits of the story.

Got the fodder on. Going to have some potatoes, the last of the Mini-Rostis, and some tomato and ham milk roll sarnies. Yum-yum!

2019 Mar 2I fell to sleep for a short while but luckily woke before any rostis or potatoes were burnt.

I got it served up, in fact, a little too much of it. The eyes were bigger than the stomach again! Huh!

I saved a sandwich in a food bag for later. Cunning eh?

The flavour rating of this not particularly appealing looking meal was 7.5/10, and worthy of it.

I put the TV on, and soon began the nodding off, in the £300, c1968, grotty-beige recliner. I kept repeatedly waking and drifting off for hours. When the kip came adequately, it was deep, undisturbed, and a long one!

Ahh!
