SisterJane rang. Pete was feeling a little better, thank heavens. Anf, Jane’s eye still had no vision. We are a set!

She’d seen my Warden Deana on the BBC 1 News and told me to put it on, so I could take some photos of it. It will come on again. We had a natter and laugh, and that was great!

But with the Doctors, Hospital things to sort out, and trying to get some blogging done, I couldn’t really concentrate.

No time to do owt on this blog at all. And needed to get the ablutions done, then get the things needed to take with me sorted out.

Got the first sample, and it was coloured like level 5-6. Which was much better now, got it in the three-wheeler walker guide bag, so as not to forget it!

The ablutions were done next. The mind was confused with so much detail to go through. The Ablutionalisationing is almost a blur, so much did I rush, and with my mind on so many things at the same time.

Jane rang back, and they will try to get some photos if Deana comes back on the BBC, for me. Bless em! That was good of them. I hope she can get some.

I found a letter on the floor near the door, only Sainsbury offering money off vouchers, but only if I spend £60! Oh, Goodie! Makes a change from crushed cakes and lousy silly substitutes, I suppose.

I got some breakfast. Marmite bread thins, potatoes from last night, and Frazzles with a mug of Glengettie tea! And most enjoyable it was too! As my Dad used to say: “It went down a reet treat, that did!”

I got some hand washing done, wrung and hung. Only one Zip-up jacket, and left it drip-dry at its leisure, on a coathanger above the kitchen sink.

I tried to get my head together and make sure I’d got everything needed for the medicalisational visits. Then the bus-pass, keys, cash, etcetera.

I didn’t feel too confident, and had a nagging feeling that I’d forgotten something or other! Which I suppose would not be anything new. Hehe!

I got the trolley, with the nibble-treats for the Hospital and Surgery staff, and set out, feeling apprehensive, and not knowing why I felt that way.

I turned and figuratively, waved farewell to the flats at the end of the road.

The hobble down Winchester Street was a hard, nervous-making experience. I’d forgot about the brakes being useless on the three-wheeler, and had to take my time and extra care not to topple it over. I stayed on the right-hand side pavement going down, to avoid having to walk in the road again to get by, for I had spotted a lorry in the distance parked on the pavement, Swine!

Not that the men had any alternative, really than to park there, they were in a sort of, mission impossible situation.

I walked up the Mansfield Road hill and stopped to check on the timing.

I was in plenty of time to get to the first appointment without any rushing. I had an hour before I needed to be there, so took my time and tried to take in the scenery, even though it was a bit bleak at times.

Near the hospital, on the ring road, a Pavement Motorist was spotted, for a change.

I crossed over at the Pelican lights and was soon entering the DVT Antigoagulation Unit. Where I registered and was taken straight into the treatment room.

(Well, they probably considered me an important, powerful, dynamic, wealthy patient, who was due the best care and not to be kept waiting… A Smug-Mode of ginormous proportions came over me) Hehehe!

I was soon on and attached to the machine, and within minutes, while the Q&A session was done, I was on my way out again! No obvious problems they said, an analysed result report will be sent to me. I thanked them and handed over some plonk in thanks.

I caught the bus, intending to stay on it into Carrington, and the Doctor’s surgery. Good planning, or what? On the way out, I walked to the Stroke Ward I was in, to leave them some nibbles and treats in thanks.

But, they were that busy. I decided it was best not to intrude. called to. From what I saw, they had just had a new patient come in.

: The bus arrived within minutes of my getting to the bus stop (It’s going too well, I thought – Little knowing what lie ahead!) I got on the bus and decided to have a ferret around in the bag, to check that I’d got everything needed for the surgery visit. Concentrating on this, as the bus neared the stop I’d usually get off at in Sherwood, I panicked thinking I would miss the stop, rang the bell, and the driver waited patiently for me to struggle and get off? Bless him!

When got on the pavement is when it dawned on me… I’d got off at the wrong stop!   ‘Whatta a Plonka!’ Oy, oy, oy! I decided, as there was still bags of time available for me, I’d walk into Carrington, maybe even go in Lidl to see what they had on offer. It was very leisurely, and I was not too annoyed with myself – I’ve come to almost expect such calamities nowadays. Tsk!

I set of at a steady-hobble, no need to overdo it, still bags of time to get there punctually. Sherwood looked so barren this morning, with more retailers than ever closed down again, it’s so sad. All those people with their dreams shattered! Humph!

I’d not gone far, and Pavement Cyclist came from behind me, I smelt his B.O. as he passed me by. It’s not as if there was a lot of traffic for him to be scared off, on the Mansfield Road. I noticed he had the bike in the lowest gear, his legs were going like the clappers, but he was not getting anywhere fast. (A Sherlock Holmisianism moment, there) Hehehe!

I crossed over to the other side at the Pelican lights, over the hill and down int Carrington towards the church. It was still looking glum.

A bit further down the hill, and another Pavement Cyclist appeared. This one was more determined to ignore or injure any pedestrians than the previous one, and really did come close to hitting me, and the ladies further on. Git!

There was still time to spare, so I visited the Lidl store. Got some bits, and paid on the self-serve tills, no idea what I was doing wrong, but an assistant came to me on each of five times I did something wrong, and muttered something to me, and put it right. I didn’t realise I’d bought so much stuff, and had to stop on my way out, and rearrange things in the trolley, and make up another bag to hang on the handlebars. This took me a while to do, and I realised

I had to get a nip on to get to the surgery in time for the appointment, so I did!

I hastened to the surgery; thus, I was in a bit of a state when I arrived. They have now got an intercom system for us to use, which is not good when because of the mask-wearing, I can’t use the hearing aids when out and about. I’ve no idea what the lady was saying, but she let me in eventually. She thought I looked poorly and told me to take a seat, one of the only two seats now, in the waiting room. It was the late rushing to get there that had caused my laboured breathing.

I was soon being called into the treatment room by the new surgery nurse. A most pleasant blood pressure, temperature, pulse, weighing, measuring, recording, and questions and answer session took place. During which, Doctor Vindla came in and gave me my Flue-Jab. Lovely to see them all again. I was leaving and Nurse… (Oh, dear, the phlebotomy nurse, I’ve not seen her for that long, I’m, ashamed to say I’ve forgotten her name. lovely lady too! Caroline was it? I bet Tim Price will remember for me?), came to chat for a few seconds. I handed the giant bottle of Perry for them all to share at Christmas, and sadly, I had to leave, by the front door now, as part of the Anti-Corona rules. Ah, Gorrit, I think, it was Nurse Nichole! ♥

I was weary but happy enough as I wobbled along Mansfield Road with the trolley, up and over the hill. (Travailing with the well-filled heavy trolley, which will be fun getting onto and off of the bus when I get to Sherwood, Tsk!)

As I was getting to Spondon Street, another ignorant, nasty, anti-social, objectional, offensive, law-breaking, seditious, thoughtless, inconsiderate, mannerless, yob, scumbag of a Pavement Cyclist belted by me, making my jump, he was so close! Grrr!

But it didn’t bother me.

But, as I went up the hill to the bus stop, another ignorant, nasty, anti-social, objectional, offensive, law-breaking, seditious, thoughtless, inconsiderate, mannerless, yob, scumbag of a loutish young Pavement Cyclist, was doing wheelies on the wide pavement?!?! I had to go around him to get into the Wilko store for my bleach! Grobleknackerbangles!

I paid and heaved my body and trolley up to the bus stop. The distant skies did not bode well at all. Incidentally, while I was waiting for the bus, three cars went through the traffic lights on red. Tsk! I suppose they know that those traffic-light cameras do not have any film in them?

I took a photo to the left, down the hill before the number 40 bus arrived. The driver getting a smidge annoyed as I struggled to get on the bus, and then to get sat down where I could hold onto the trolley. But it couldn’t be helped. Sorry, driver!

I was son back up Winchester Street and alighting the bus. Two residents to get off, I went first, and I’d like to mention that I did so without any Accifauxpas, injury or damage! And, I assisted the chap from my block behind me, to alight the bus with his trolley. Mega-Smug-Mode-Adopted!

We walked to the end of the road and got inside the Woodthorpe lobby and to the lifts. I got in and invited the chap to join me, which he appreciated, he looked as done-in as I felt, bless him. He had to get out, to let me out of the lift, I didn’t realise he loved on the 4th floor. Still, we managed a laugh about it. I fumbled about getting the trolley in, with its extra weight and bags, and into the corner.

I soon realised that my original plans to get the updating done of this diary were not going to happen. I was jiggered, exhausted in body and mind! My new plan; was to get something to eat, wash, and head-down, even though it was still early, even for me to seek sleep.

As I got into the kitchen with the purchases from Lidl and Wilko, I spotted what looked like a fire in the far distance.

I got the camera from my jacket pocket and took this picture. Then got the bags opened and sorted the things needed for the meal I’d planned on the bus, earlier. The Potato Rosti was a must-have, even though I left some new pots cooking in the crock-pot. I could taste it before I’d got it in the oven. Took some grapes, an apple, tomatoes and washed them, for slipping on the plate.

I made the feast up and got it served n the tray. But made far too much for me, in my tired state of health; however, the potato rostis, grapes, some of the tomatoes and potatoes were eaten. A Taste-Rating of 7/10 given, it was just me being so tired.

I was happily amidst feasting, and the door-chimes rang out. I put the food tray on the chair, and fought my way out of the £300, second-hand, c1968, cringingly beige-coloured, unkempt, fluctuant, ramshackle, broken-down, uncomfortable, dusty, rusty, decaying, tatterdemalion, heavy yet tottery, rickety recliner, and off to investigate who my caller was.

Aha! My visitor had been my patron saint Jenny, from the 8th floor. Who had kindly left me some yellow tomatoes, a big bag too! She does look after me! ♥

Then I got settled back in the c1968 recliner, it was nippy in here tonight, so I used a heavier quilt. Put theTV on, but I didn’t need the TV, or anything of a somnifacient nature, for the Sweet Morpheus, enwrapped herself around my body and brain within a few minutes – and it was good! I believe I was dreaming of being asleep in my sleep?

I put the tom’s in the fridge, and got my ponderously pot-bellied, portly-paunch placed back onto the recliner; grabbed the tray of food, got my legs up on the chair, and was just about to restart noshing it, and the Landline burst forth and flashed!

So, I put the food tray on the chair, and fought my way out of the £300, second-hand, c1968, cringingly beige-coloured, unkempt, fluctuant, ramshackle, broken-down, uncomfortable, dusty, rusty, decaying, tatterdemalion, heavy yet tottery, rickety recliner, got the stick, and off to answer the phone.

It was my Alma Mater, Jenny. She told me of how she managed to get some yellow tomatoes for me again, and we had a chinwag with laughs for a while. I was a smidge out-out-it and didn’t write down what else was talked about, so I must find out if anything was arranged or agreed upon tomorrow. We bade each other a fond-farewells, and I think (hope) I thanked her again for the tomatoes ♥.

I returned to the rickety recliner, to have another go at eating the meal. But couldn’t each much more, and was back to wide-awake mode. However, what I did eat was more than enough for what I needed, so is a blessing in disguise, and stopped me gobbling too much. Hahaha!

I washed the pots and took a snap of the threatening skies.

Took the evening medications, cause I forgot earlier with flailing so early.

I realised that my being out and about so long, I’d missed taking two of the Dioctyl® stool softeners. Uncertain whether to take three now or just the one, I veered on the safe side, and just took the one. (A choice that I much-regretted in the mornings’ Porcelain Throne session – Rock-solid again, Argh!)

Inchcockski. Tuesday 20th August 2019: All good at the Hospital check-up. Yee-ha!

2019 Aug 20

Tuesday 20th August 2019

1Mon07

01:24hrs. I woke, all calmly, and took a look around for any signs of nocturnal nibbling. I’m glad to report that none were found.  Semi-Smug-Mode-Adopted!

I dismounted the £300, second-hand, not-working-at-the-moment,  grimy, beige-coloured, c1968, rickety recliner. The first thing was a wee-wee, it was another LWDS (Long-Weak-Dribbling-Sprinkling) wee-wee. I took the bucket, a lot fuller this morning, with me to the kitchen and got it cleaned and sanitised.

As I went into the kitchen, I took a photo, and then again with the flash on of roughly the same area. What a difference. With the flash on, you can see the unwanted new light & view-windows, and the foam put in a year ago in the air vent by the Nottingham City Homes bloke. That spewed out after he had gone and dribbled down on the electricity socket. I mentioned it, but no one was interested. It’s too solid to get off. So, there it remains.

2Tue02

2Tue01The hanging to dry hand-washed jacket was still dripping water. So, I put it in the wet room and left the heater on for a while. Cunning, eh?

I remembered that there is no need for the 07:30hrs visit to the surgery, and this will free up some time to get the Monday blog finished and sent off. Then I pondered on how I should get to the hospital for the Stroke Unit visit. I could walk it, that would be best, getting in some exercise? It’ll take about an hour and a quarter. Or, get on a 40 bus on Winchester Street, and that will drop me off at the City Hospital. Else, an L9 would take me to the other end of the hospital?

2Tue04No, I’ll walk it. I examined the paperwork to double-check the time and things I have to take with me.

If I leave here by 09.40hrs, it should give me time for the hobble and to find where the place I need to be is. I hope!

2Tue06From the picture I took of the hospital, it looks closer than it actually is. Of course, this an as-the-crow-flies thing. In reality, the roads to it take a roundabout route.

Still, I’m looking forward to a mini-hobble.

I got the medications taken and made a brew. Then got the computer going to update and finish the Monday diary. But…

Vir 0.50.0

The regular fiasco, the Mr (Sod-the-Customers) Fries routine. Turned everything off, tried a restart, to no avail. So everything closed down and rebooted. Huh, failed again. The Liberty-Global bully-boy’s crap router turned off and unplugged. Waited, and restarted it, and hoped for the best, fingers crossed. It came back on, oh, the joy! And pissed-offedness!

I’d had an email, from the surgery from last night. Giving me the new dosages for the INR Warfarin results. The didn’t mention what the level was, but they usually don’t anyway. Why they did not inform me of the change and me no longer having to go into the surgery for it, is beyond me. It made me realise just how kind the CIDP in the leg has been lately. Even the nurse noticed yesterday and said how much better I was moving. I’m taking advantage of this break, and definitely walking to the City Hospital later on now. Why the leg, usually so regular with it’s Neuropathic Schuhplattler (The neuropathic medicine drop kettle dance) routines, was not giving me any? The hands, fingers and shoulder are trying to make up for it, though. Hahaha!

I pressed on with the Monday blog, getting it done after many annoying shoulder-shudders, and the fingers electric-shock imitations tried their best to annoy me. But I got there! Satiety-Status-Adopted!

Made a beginning to this blog, but time-limited my performance, and the ablutions had to be tended to. All went well, no cuts at all shaving! Only two dropsies, the razor and the shower-head. I gathered all the things needed, took the bags to the chute on the way out, and walked through the new passageway into Winwood Court. The exit swipe to the new sitting-outside space was still not working. I mentioned it to Rob, the caretaker.

As I got to the lobby door, I handed some nibbles out in the Warden’s holding-cells. And then;

WD 0.40.0. I’d forgotten to take the paperwork for the hospital. Oy Vey! Back to the flat to collect them.

So, with the paperwork this time, the three-wheeler-walker, in high spirits despite the Whoopsiedangleplop, I set off on a mini-hobble to the City Stroke Unit. The weather was grand, the with hopes high as I followed my prearranged route. Well, I started to, but holes in the ground and roadworks forced minor altercations en route.

2Tue07

2Tue08Down and out of the flats, and tackled the steep gravel hill opposite the apartments, that lead up to the Woodthorpe Grange Park.

A challenging climb today. But this was the only part of the journey that was any bother.

Apart from getting a little lost at the Nottingham City Hospital. So much had been changed building wise, and what I thought would be reference points on my way to the N5 corridor, proved to have been demolished or rebuilt without access. Ah, well!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

I hobbled happily along Magnus Road, Edwards Lane, crossing at the pelican-lights on Valley Road Ring Road and walking back to Edwards Lane to continue my journey.

WD 0.40.0. The difficulties in getting by the roadworks added a lot of time to my journey. But, onwards I pressed, still singing away to myself in the sunshine.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

I got to the gate, and in passing the flat car park. I couldn’t see any free spaces.

2Tue23

But at this stage, the grey-cells brought forth City Hospital memories, so many of them, and I pondered over them for ages. The building that was at that time used to handle the post-mortem examinations of patients.

  • Where I went for a job as Trainee, in preparing the bodies for family visits. I was very young and raw, but remember my not understanding some of the questions they put to me. After this, if I went for a job, I tried to find out as much as possible of the business before I applied anywhere. Amazing how such long-gone events come back to you?
  • The building where the did the X-rays and found Duodenal Donald after giving me a barium meal – and forgetting to hand me any chrystals, resulting in two-and-a-half hours on the Throne in agony! That had gone, now part of the Out-Patients new clinics, where I was today!
  • Later I passed the Trent Cardiac Centre, who did the heart operation and memories of the Acute Cardiac Recovery room. Where the Morris ward threw me out with an hours warning, at 05:00hrs in the mornings, and I had to call brother-in-law Pete to collect me. NO Ambulances!
  • Later I tried to find the Newell Stroke Unit ward, to thank and give the staff a treat I had taken with me. But, no! Every person I asked, didn’t know how to get to it?

WD 0.40.0. The mind-wandering stopped when I realised the buildings that were there last time I went in this gate, had gone! The entrance to the North Corridor, was now a  new building altogether, Supplies or something. The way through was so different, with winding narrow roads and areas without footpaths at all! Eventually, I arrived at the halfway and new entrance to the North Corridor. I had to take a long circuitous hobble around a pathway to get the six feet to the doorway, as the six feet were all steep steps!

2Tue24

Finding the Out-patients., was easy enough after the reception, bloke explained it to me. All the way to the end of the centre North passage and I’d find it. On the way, I recognised a corridor, like the one I came out of when calling at the Newell Ward. I tried to locate it, but no luck. It seemed to be a secret.

I returned to the North corridor and soon arrived at the Out-Patients, and asked for Clinic Two. I got there, it was very cramped and narrow. I got sat down as the nurse had indicated I should. She then came for the paperwork. Within a couple of minutes, I was moved down a corridor outside the Doctor S K Raghumathan’s office. I had plenty of time for a go at the crossword book. Not with much success!

I recognised the Doctor’s face straight away as he came out to call me in. Only in there for about 30 minutes. All very low-key stuff, sort of going through the motions. He said he was happy with how things were going, and off I went.

Leaving by the entrance that I’d entered through on the way in. Because I spotted a bus stop as I was going there earlier. Amazingly, a number 40 bus was due to arrive in four-minutes! Good timing, indeed!

3Wed01NWD 0.40.0. I was whisked home, well nearly, I got off on Winchester Street, and walked up to the Winwood Heights complex. That damned seemingly abandoned Mercedes van was still parked there on the pavement! So I had to walk in the road again to get by it. I must try to remember to mention this when I see a policeman… Hahaha!

Whatever am I saying, ‘Me, see a Policeman?’ Hehehe!

As I turned onto Chestnut Way, it looked a sad, lonely place, just one lady with her young one in a pushchair in sight.

The arriving L9 bus passed me on my way back to the flats.

A few of the Winwood Heights resident dismounted, but unfortunately, the ywere long gone by the time I reached them in search of a chinwagging session. I do love a good laugh and natter! And I was in the mood for one! Never mind.

Here’s a snapshot I took of the temporary Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights, Generalfeldmarschallesses Warden’s Temporary HQ. Sarcasm & Insult distribution area. Tenants Socialisationistical Meeting hut. Telling Inchcock off Zone. Where things like crockery and pottery get stolen from, Rumourmongering Clinic, and somewhere to rest while waiting for the bus, Portakabin, once stood! Somehow, after two years or so of seeing it when going out on the bus or a hobble, this is a sad sight. Silly soft-old-fool!

2Tue20I had an amazingly long MESWW (Marathon-Endless-Sprinkling) wee-wee. Surprising, when you consider how thin and water-retention free the legs are at the moment? Puzzled-Mode-Adopted!

Took the afternoon medications, and set about making a quick, cold, easily prepared meal. Tomatoe (salted) and sliced cooked turkey on milk-loaf sarnies, cheese sticks, a marmite cheese disc, beetroots, Poppit salt & vinegar crisps, and some yoghourt flavoured rice cakes. Which (The rice cakes) were a different brand, Kallø, that I got from Asda and cost less than the Lidl ones. I’m not in the least bit surprised, they were hard and tasteless! Eurgh! I wouldn’t even put them in as a raffle prize for anyone! But, I ate all the rest of it. A taste rating, not including the crap rice-cakes, was 7/10.

2Tue21As I went to get the washing-up done, it seemed someone was having a fire in the distance. Intentional or accidental. I don’t know. There was nothing on te news, so it might have been a garden fire, perhaps.

I got the hand-washing done and hanging to dry.

2Tue22Got settled in the ancient recliner, and watched some ‘Heartbeat’ episodes on the goggle-box. Needless to say I nodded off. And woke feeling thirsty like crazy. So I went to replenish the bottle of spring water.

I took a decentish photograph of the wonderful looking sky.

I recall having a right dizzy-spell when returning to the front room. All else, memory-wise has gone off into the ether?

Inchcock Today – Fri 22 Feb 19: The wee-wees are back – ensuring another day indoors. Hello, The trotskies now too!

Croatian: Petak, 22. veljače 2019

00:30hrs. I woke, remembering a bit of a dream. I was underground in the dark tunnel and walking towards the exit door, which bore a neon sign above it; “Freedom beyond – Have your bus pass ready!” Suddenly, I realised I did not want to escape anymore. That’s it really, all I can recall, and my walking back into the darkness?

Getting out of the £300 c.1968, second-hand rickety recliner was a little more difficult this morning. Due to the pain from where I banged my right leg against the corner of the chair arm yesterday, at the Social Hour.

WD 0.0.255c The first of the day’s wee-wees arrived. The Emergency Grey Bin was utilised. It was an SNSWW (Short-No-Sensation-Wee-wee), as was the one I had to take just five minutes later?

Off I went to get the Health Checks done.

5Fri001

5Fri001bThe results looked fair enough to me.

Not the weight of course. The pulse has been high all week.

WD 0.0.255c Off to the wet room for another wee-wee, this time of the SSPWW (Short-Sharp-Painful-Wee-wee) variety. Tsk!

2019 Feb 22While wee-weeing, I had to change tack to cope with the sudden demand for a Porcelain Throne evacuation that arrived! Messy!

The legs were checked, only a slight bruise where I banged the leg, but masses of thick spider-veins had appeared.

5Fri002The famously distorted right knee had changed its shape again. I can see no faces in it this morning. The wound is looking far less like that of a saprogenous type.

More like a lunar landscape perhaps? Hehehe! Oh, off to the grey bucket again.

I washed and went to the kitchen to make a mug of tea.

5Fri003aWD 0.0.255c I tried to do a panoramic shot of the view from the unwanted light and view-blocking new window.

But, I failed on around eight tries to get it to record one on this old Sony camera. I was unable to hold the thing steady enough to take the panoramic shot. So, I made an ordinary one of the early morning lights of Nottingham.

I got on the computer and made a start on this blog.

Had to have another wee-wee. They seem to have settled back into the SSPWW (Short-Sharp-Painful-Wee-wee) style, now.

At 02:30hrs, I heard a dull bang from somewhere. Five minutes later, I heard a louder thud? I hope someone has not fallen over, I’ll put the hearing aids in, so I can listen in case I hear knocking again and try to locate where it is coming from. All I can discern is that it came from above my flat. Fingers crossed there is no one in trouble.

02:45hrs. I got this post caught up with to here, then went onto updating the Thursday Post. This will take a while.

05:45hrs. Blimey, it did ages as well! Along with nine SSPWWs. I got it posted off, then went on the WP reader section.

06:00hrs. Went onto Facebook, to catch up with the TFZers and photo albums. This took a while as well. Plus, three SSPWWs.

5Fri0050720hrs: Brekkers time now. I’ll have the sarnies I couldn’t eat last night, with marmite crisps and a mug of tea and watch a YouTube clip or two. Back soon.

As soon as I stood up, the body seemed to come to life: I needed a wee-wee, the wind began spontaneous emissions of wind from the rear end, the hiccups started and the worms in the leg wound became active! Hehehe! Don’t know why I’m laughing? Had to empty the Emergency Grey Plastic Bin before I could use it. Tsk!

08:55hrs: Guess who fell asleep in the computer chair, only waking up as started to fall off of it? What a Plonka!

09:05hrs: I set about creating some diary page graphics and then made-up some drafts.

11:55hrs: I’d got a few done. Feeling tired already. Then I made a start on the drafts done and saved to file. Accompanied by four SPWWs.

WD 0.0.255c 12:45hrs, a lot scraping and tapping noises coming from 5Fri007above. I expect it might be from either the Sprinker work or BJ doing his model making.

I finished the drafts in full. But, I only managed to get ten done in total before I felt so drained and tired. Poor old thing!

15:00hrs. I’ve had it now, drained.

Did the health checks then, I got the cooked bacon in the pan with the baked beans. I left them on a low light to keep warm and marinate with the added mustard and BBQ seasoning. Put the chips in the oven.

In between wee-wees, I got the Health Checks sorted.

Served up the meal. I thought at first when I got it on the tray, that I’d made too much for me to eat again. But, not this time, I scoffed the lot!

5Fri29

5Fri30I took the things to soak them in the sink bowl, and the sky colouring I thought was worth recording.

As I was clicking the button on the camera, it became apparent that I needed the Porcelain Throne yet again – urgently!

WD 0.0.255c Oh, Boy! Trotsky Terence was on good form this time. Talk about messy in the extreme! Perhaps having the seasoned baked beans was a mistake? Hahaha!

I got me settled to watch some TV… Zzzz!

WD 0.0.0 00:40hrs. The vagueness of my mind took me some time in clearing away. It was as if a fog was milling about, preventing me from getting my thoughts into order for a while. I have to admit, this concerned me for a while. Eventually, the wandering introspections and musings started off. I can cope with these, I’m used to them nowadays!) Having cleared away the inconclusive, unexplainable thoughts of weevils, my ischaemia, worms in my leg wound, loneliness and fear of reincarnation, I removed my morbidly obese stomached body from the £300 c.1968 second-hand recliner.

WD 0.0.0 Off to the Porcelain Throne. Oh, dear! What a messy affair. Tsk! Washed the dandies and antisepticated the contact surfaces.

Got the Health Checks sorted out and took the medications.

4Thu001a

4Thu01Sys had gone down well, the Pulse remains high, and the weight, we’ll not bother mentioning, eh?

WD 0.0.0 Made a brew of tasty, strong Glengettie tea, managing without any bother to drop the milk bottle as I took it out of the fridge!

WD 0.0.0 It took me so long to clear the mess up, that the tea had gone cold by then! So, I made another and took it with me to the computer to make a start on doing yesterday’s diary updating. But, a second call to the Porcelain Throne arrived, os off to the wet room. Same evacuation style as the first visit, so much cleaning up to be done again. Washed the dandies and antisepticated the contact surfaces.

WD 0.0.0 Back to the computer and the gone-cold-again mug of tea! So, I made another, and took it with me again, to the computer to make a start on yesterday’s diary updating. Which proved to be a long time in doing. Four hours before I had got it finished. Concentration was not good, but worst of all, the internet had gone all dead-slow and jittery on me!

4Thu04

4Thu03aI went on the WordPress reader for a while.

Then had some brekkers, Marmite based again. With a mug of tea that I actually got to drink! Haha!

Made a start on this blog up to here.

Then made a mug of tea I could maybe get around to drinking.

4Thu02Went to get the ablutions done. Did the midday Health Checks, cause I’m not sure what time I will get back from the surgery.

Another wee-wee.

The leg wound is looking better this morning. Leg fluid is filling up a bit, though.

I prepared myself for the trip to the surgery. Nibbles, paperwork, bus-pass and the Social Hour nibble-box all in the bag or jacket pocket. Grubbed about making sure that no taps (faucets), lights, heaters or cooker had been left on. Checked the fridge doors. Took the two black bags to the waste chute. Cleaned and sanitised the Emergency Grey Bin. Got the hearing aid put in the lug-holes. Searched for the door keys (finding them in the jammy-bottoms), and set out to the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights, Hauptbereitschaftsleiteress Warden’s Temporary HQ. Sarcasm & Insult distribution area. Tenants Socialisationistical Meeting Shed. Telling Inchcock off Zone. Where things like crockery and pottery get stolen from, Rumourmongering Clinic, and somewhere to rest while waiting for the bus, Portakabin.

Where I found UN adjudicator Jenny and  Obergruppenführeress Warden Deana having a natter.Which I intruded upon. Left the nibble-box and raffle prized in case I did not get back in time from the doctor’s for some of the Social Hour later.

I departed in a better frame of mind after seeing Jenny and Deana and our persiflage, off on my hobble.

WD 0.0.0 As I turned down onto Winchester Street Hill, over the next twenty yards or so, I found an excellent array of Nottinghamian Street Art!

I wonder if suspicion will fall on Deacon Tyres? Their premises are about 800 yards up the hill from this place where they were left?

4Thu12

Personally, if I were investigating this bit of Fly-Tipping, I’d concentrate on Deacon’s cunning competitors. (A bit of Sherlock Holmes style advice here for the police, no charge Ossifers!)

4Thu07I plodded on, with only Back-Pain Brenda, and or, Kevin Kidney Aches out of all my ailments, giving me any bother. (Smug-Mode-Adopted)

As I passed by Cavendish Vale, I took this photo of my beloved Woodthorpe Court from a distance.

Not much traffic this morning along Mansfield Road. Maybe the kids are off school?

4Thu08I got into Carrington (Note the lack of vehicular activity? Very odd it looked to me that did!

I got into the surgery early, waited until the receptionist had finished on the phone, and checked in. Sat down, got the crossword book out. I had to cheat and look up a solution to be able to finish a crossword I’d been doing for months! Tsk!

I heard Nurse Ann call my name, and my EQ immediately informed something was coming that I would not appreciate. I was sent to her treatment room to await her arrival as she spoke with the receptionist. I was getting my jacked off so I could roll up the sleeve when she came in.

WD 0.0.0 She said something that I didn’t make-out. Always get her hackles up when I can’t hear what she says). In a voice that was probably heard in the next room, she said: “Are you well enough to take this injection!” – “I think so” – That’s not good enough, I need to know if you are well-enough… these cost us £125 each, you know! Are you well enough?” – “Yes!” – “Are you sure?” – “Erm, Yes!”

I felt a little discommoded at how things had gone verbally. But, being aware of the many times I have said the wrong thing at an inappropriate, untimely manner over the years. So, I was in no mood to quodlibetificate about this put-down I’d received. But, I did feel just a little bit miffed.

Another thing I noticed, was that the only times this Nurse smiles is when she is inserting a hypodermic needle, or pulling off a plaster! Hehehe!

She added when I mentioned the fluid building up again in the legs: “Make an appointment to see the doctor on your way out!” See, she does care!

WD 0.0.0 I carried out her command and went to the receptionist. Which didn’t get me very far, mind? Mostly due to my own stubbornness, I’m afraid. I explained the situation, telling her I had got an appointment on Monday for my INR Warfarin blood test, asking if I could get a meeting with Dr Vindla somewhere near the same time. As each time I have to come here, that is the end of my active day. No appointments were available for Monday or Tuesday. I said, “Ah-well, forget about it!” And ashamed with myself, I departed, to try and get back to the complex in time for some of the Social Hour.

The timing was terrible today. I left and caught a bus back to Sherwood. The L9 back up the hill was not due for forty-minutes. So, I went on a shopping spree of sorts. To the Post Office shop, and got some nibble-box bits and a Polish Sourdough sliced loaf. Then over the road, into Wilko, and got a mug as a pressie for one of favourite fellow tenant gals, disinfectant for the Emergency Grey Bin, and some bleach.

Then up to the bus stop. Where a couple of residents were waiting, and we had a chinwag. Two more joined us, and the words and laughs flowed. I enjoyed that.

I got off the bus and straight into the Social Hour hut. Handed round the nibbles, handed the China mug to the gal and had a few chinwags again.

I was fortunate enough to leave at the same time as Cyndy, and we walked to the flats nattering (Well the talking came from me, Tsk!)

In the foyer, we had a chinwag with the lady tenant who is moving to nearer her family4Thu09. I’m glad for her, a was Cyndy.

I felt a wee-wee forming up, an went to the lifts. Where Cyndy joined me a minute or so later.

A laugh and verbal banter later, I got off of the elevator, and Cyndy carried on up to her home. Lovely gal.

I got in the flat and had a wee-wee. Got the oven heating up for the chips later. Health Checks were done, and I took the medications.

4Thu13Made up the German smoked ham and tomato sandwiches with the excellent tasting Polish Sourdough bread, added the pies to the plate.

I then got some of the Aviko Thick-cut Super-Crunch Oven Chips cooking, (Contents: Potatoes, modified starch, sunflower oil, rice flour, salt, dextrin, raising agent (E500, E450), maltodextrin, thickener (E415), turmeric, paprika extract) I bought them because they were on Special Offer.

WD 0.0.0 The cooking time given on the packet said 20-minutes. But I ended up giving them 35 minutes, as I had fallen asleep in the chair waiting for them to cook, Klutz!

4Thu11They still looked to be rather pale and insipid to me.

When I tried one while taking them out of the oven, I found I couldn’t have been more wrong! They tasted so good!

I couldn’t eat anywhere near all of this meal, though I enjoyed what I did eat. I bagged up two of the meat and tomato sarnies and put them in the fridge, in case I woke and fancied a nibbled later. (In fact, I ended up having them for breakfast on Friday morning) Haha!

The usual sad efforts to stay awake to watch some TV were more miserable than ever before. Viewed a few minutes of the A-Team, nodded of waking an hour later. I watched 2Tue24several one or two minutes worth of Boon. I did better with the Pie in the Sky though, viewed a good ten-minutes worth, nodded off and woke in time to see the rolling ending credits for Pie.

I gave up and switched off the TV. I reckon I must have nodded off within seconds, for about six hours.

A reminder that I have a Toshiba TV for sale.

Inchcock – Thur 14 Feb 2019: A difficult to understand, disconcerting, beyond my comprehensibility sort of day. Regrettably!

Polish: 14 Lutego 2019 r

4Thu03aWd BLACK 23:40hrs. As I woke up, the brain was a torrent of many confused thoughts. A breach of the peace of my mind. I wasn’t sure if I was still dreaming or not, but I was musing over my being in a condemned cell, playing Monopoly with a chap I thought was my executioner. The themes changed, but over the next fifteen minutes or so, I always seemed to come back to the distempered brick walled cell, and my being beaten into Monopoly bankruptcy by the hangman. Who incidentally was wearing a pink hood, while the rest of the visions were in mono? The side thoughts and fears were all involving nerterology of some sort. These mystifying ponderations eventually dissipated into the ether, as a wee-wee was required. Luckily, I scribbled some notes on the pad on the Ottoman. For when it came to my writing this blog, all actual memories of any dreaming had gone, apart from the picture of me in the cell, which I tried to reproduce in the graphic above.

Getting my abdominally weighty body free of the second-hand, 1968 rusty recliner, was done with no problems or pains. Amazing how things are so different from one morning to the next?

Wd BLACK Ah, back to the SSDWWs (Short-Sensationless-Dribbling-wee-wees) again. Always difficult to judge whether they have finished or not, so, extra care was needed to be taken. Tsk!

I went to the computer to turn it on and saw the reminder note hanging on the screen. The Doctor today 0850hrs. Leg problems, falling asleep all the time, kidney pains, Furesomide, and hosiery availability. I put this note into the jacket pocket straight away, so I didn’t forget to take it with me to the surgery and made sure the INR Anticoagulation and Arterial Thrombosis clinic record card was in there too. This made me remember the nibbles for the nurses and staff, so I put them in the bag.

Had another SSDWW, then I got the Health Checks done.

4Thu001a

4Thu01Wd BLACK Aha, I expected this to happen, especially as I am off to the Doctors later; The BP has come down suddenly. Huh! The temperature and pulse are still high though.

I’d just made a brew of tea, and had to nip off to the wet room to use the Porcelain Throne. The evacuation was a bit messy and with a little bleeding.

4Thu001 Wd BLACK When I checked the pins, the blood papsules, welts or whatever they are on the ankle, were a little more vivid this morning. But dry, no leaking at all.

Another SSDWW, they are coming a bit regularly at the moment. Oh, dear!

Made a start on updating the Wednesday blog, and within minutes, another Porcelain Throne visit was required.

Sept 11e

The thought of them coming back!

This one was far less messy and with much less bleeding. However, the aroma that accompanied the evacuation was so strong, I had to shut the window in case it attracted any Scarabaeidae (dung beetles – surprisingly there are 40 species in the UK!) who might have caught a whiff, to join the Weevils in the flat. Hehehe!

As I wrote this, and not having seen any EIBWBBBs (Evil ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles) for a while, I looked up on the web to find out if they hibernate. I found out that: Boll weevils do hibernate in winter and before sleeping they produce many further generations. The female can lay up to 300 eggs over a 10 – to 12 -day period! They come out of hibernation in Spring it says. Argh! I’m glad I’ve got some sprays at the ready for when they relaunch their attacks!

Oh, the memories of my losing battle with them haunt me. The thought that they will return pees me off!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Got some brekkers. Marmite biscuits with a round of Marmite cheese, and a mug of tea and few Scottish Shortie biscuits to round it off.

Ablution sorted. Did the midday Health Checks in case I am back too late from the surgery.

4Thu04I set off out: the weather was not too cold at all as I plodded down Winchester Street Hill.

Left onto Mansfield Street and first right along Marshall Street and onto Mansfield Road, turning left towards Carrington.

I was feeling pretty good in myself, apart from 4Thu05a few wobbles here and there, but they were not proper dizzies, just a loss of balance. Likely due to the blood pressure, and the water retention in the pins.

I ambled along, no rush, I’d given myself plenty of time to get to Sherrington Park in time.

4Thu05aWd BLACK At the Library, a Nottingham Pavement Cyclist nearly hit me as he sped by me from behind. Too quick for me to get the camera out.

Near the top of the hill crest, an idiot of a disabled scooter rider was travelling on the road in the bus lane! Unbelievable!

Wd BLACK Down the hill and into the surgery. I was instantly cheered when a lady asked me if I was feeling alright! “Fine thank you” I replied, she added: “Well you don’t look it, very pale you are!” I’m not if this was due to the water retention or the Warfarin INR level being so far out.

I logged in and had to nip to their WC for a wee-wee. Back to the waiting area got the crossword book out. But the concentration was terrible, and I didn’t answer many clues today. Dr Vindla came out to call me in.

I thought it would be polite to start with “How do you feel now you’re back from holiday” and threw her a smile…

Busy!” came the reply!

I handed her the notes I’d made of things of concern.

Furesomide: “Have you been taking the Furosemide?” – “No, I’ve run out! – “Why?” – I asked for some and was told it would be best to wait for your return before getting any in case you wanted me to stop them!” Her fingers flashed on the computer keyboard, and she told me that, “A prescription had been sent to the chemist a fortnight ago and not been collected!” Although I had not been informed about this, I felt a right fool!

Showed her the new welts and papsules on the ankle top. She had a poke about and took a swab from the wound. Called Nurse Ann into the room (No nurse Nichole for me today! Sob!) They both had a prod around, and I was informed that after the sample had been analysed in a day or two, I would be contacted to go to a Treatment Centre somewhere, whoever can fit you in, and be examined. Also, they will sort out some support hosiery for you if needed!

I mumbled my thanks to her.

“You can go now,” she said. Pointing to the other door in the room, “That way, and don’t forget Nurse Ann will put a dressing on that wound!” Me: No, thank you very much! Head down and off out and sat in the nurses waiting area.

I was called in and told to sit down! The blood was taken, and I handed her the Anticoagulation record. She took the blood sample and said: “Press hard on that, right!” So I pressed hard on the cotton wool. As she set about putting some cream and a large plaster on the leg wound, which was uncomfortable with my pushing down hard on the arm vein and leaning against the arm on the trolley top to aid the pressure, with the other foot spread out in the opposite direction being medicated. Hehehe!

The kidney examination and the Shingle injection are both booked for next Thursday, now. And don’t forget to fetch the Furesomides from the pharmacy! “Thank you” I sheepishly replied.

4Thu06I left her some nibbles and departed to the receptionist. Left them a box of the chocolate wheels.

Just so glad to get out.

I made my way to the Chemists in Carrington. Scarily I caught my reflection in the barber’s window: By Gawd the lady was right, I did look very pale! Tsk!

The pretty young lady in the chemist then asked me if I was feeling alright? If I looked that bad and poorly, how come no one in the surgery said anything? Confusion-Mode-Adopted!

I asked for the medications. She looked confused and summoned the pharmacist. He told me that I came in two weeks ago, and I was told that the next monthly prescriptions would be ready around the 2nd March! Yes, I said, but I do not want them, the Doctor told she had sent a prescription for Furesomide… He interrupted: We have not received any prescriptions for Furesomide for you! As I was saying, the Doctor told she had sent a prescription for Furesomide two weeks ago. It’s just that no one told me!

Ah, yes. And then, he went behind his counter and gave the said medications to the pretty girl, and he pretended to look busy and spoke to me no more!

Am I going mad, or did all this really happen to me? No wonder I’m looking pale!

4Thu07I went into the Lidl store and came out with a fresh ready-made dinner, nibble-box top-ups, crispy onions, tomatoes and a bag of very costly, but classy Swedish, or was it Switzerland made nougat. Which, of course, I will limit myself to eating just one cube a day, and not overdo it, cause it has a lot of sugar in it. Ahem!

4Thu06aThis Nottinghamian Pavement Cyclist shot by, and I am sure he did not even know or was bothered about how close he came to hitting the lady stood in front of me. Git!

Now a little concerned by my pale appearance and the uncomfortable medical experiences, I caught a bus back to Sherwood, to get the L9, up the hill to the apartments.

The timing looked good. 4Thu08Dropped off in Sherwood and crossed over the road and met resident Roy doing some window shopping.

We tried to have a natter, but both of having low voices and suffering hearing loss, it was a bit ridiculous.

The bus arrived on time and soon had us back at the apartments.

I popped into the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights Flats, and Administration shed for the Generalleutnantess Wardens Temporary HQ, Willmott-Dixon workers breakfast and tea-break room, Sarcasm & Insult distribution area, Tenants Socialisation Shed. Rumourmongering Clinic. Telling Inchcock off Zone, Things like porcelain and pottery to be stolen from, and residents room.

With them medics seeing me early and rushing me through, this meant I could catch the last few minutes of the Winwood Social Hour. But, most had left by then. Had a natter with BJ outside the hut, and went in. Jenny was in good form, telling me off for me not telling the doctor people I could not attend Thursday meetings. I did mean to, but the confusion over so many things, appointments, treatments, and ailments is my excuse for not doing it. Hehe!4Thu09

I think maybe I still looked a bit pale, cause Frank and Shirl asked if I was okay, and they don’t usually. I said mt farewells to Cyndy, no, she’d already left, Mo and Shirl, not many other folks in there, and departed back to the flat.

4Thu10As I hobbled along back to the apartment, I took these two pictures. The top one of Winchester Court with Winwood Court on the left in the image.

Then, on the left, a shot of Winwood and Woodthorpe on the far left.

Met no one on the way up to the number 72. Got in the flat and the first thing that I did was to take a Furesomide, with the other medications. Put the bits away that I’d bought, and got on the computer to update this dairy before the memory faded.

Wd BLACK Ten minutes or so into starting the updating, oh boy, did the wee-weeing start! And they were of the LHBLWWs (Long Hosepipe-Blasting like Wee-wees), And they came and came for hours and hours. Just one Furesomide tablet has caused me such discomfort it’s unbelievable!

Wd BLACK Little Inchies fungal lesion is now bleeding!

I am now, so irritable with the day, myself, and everything!

4Thu12Wd BLACK Even made a right mess of cooking the Cumberland pie, I dropped it and made a right mess! Substituted it with the Dirty Fries and a pie slice.

Got it prepared eventually. Ate it in misery, having to break off for more wee-wees. Already I’ve had to empty the Emergency Grey Bin!

Even the bloody legs had gone white in support of the face. Now the stomach has started aching, I don’t believe this! I’m fed up! Sorry about that, a little self-pity-sorry-for-myselfness sneaked in there. Tsk!

4Thu20Got the nosh sorted. This was a little hot for my liking, but I still enjoyed it mix. Dirty Chips with various cheeses. I added some tomatoes, roar dried onions and a meat slice with some American BBQ poured on the pastry.

A taste-Rating of 7.9/10 for this meal.

I got settled in the £300 second-hand rickety recliner, with some biscuits and sweeties in case I woke up and wanted a nibble later on.

I recall wondering if I should bother trying to watch some TV… And off into the land of Nod, I drifted.

Not waking for a wee-wee or any other reason for a solid seven-hours! Yet I still woke up feeling tired.

Ah-well! TTFN!

Inchcock – Tue 22 Jan 2019: Someone forgot about their Clinic Appointment today. I wonder who? Klutz! Interesting chinwag day though!

ZZZZW01E

jan22 2019

Tuesday 22nd January 2019

Welsh: Dydd Mawrth 22 Ionawr 2019

01:25hrs. I stirred in need of a wee-wee. Not urgently though, for once. I escaped the warm, comforting clutches of the £300 second-hand rickety recliner and without much hassle, I ambled into the wet room and discovered the wee-wee classification had now returned to the SSPWW (Short-Sharp-Painful-Wee-wee) mode. The mind had not fully engaged yet.

WD0.51.102 As I was shutting the door as I left the wet room, I had to reenter swiftly, with the Porcelain Throne duties demanding attention! Sat there, the brain kicked into2tue05 action. I remembered I now had hot water again, and a light in the kitchen. Thanks to the kind intervention of Obersturmführeress Housing Patch Manager and East Midland Come Dancing Champion, Angela (26). ♥

As I left the room again, I spotted just one of the EIBWBBBs (Evil Ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles) alive and kicking on the shower drain cover. As I approached with menace to get him or her, it shot down the drain.

It didn’t bother like it usually would, as I was in mixed but generally high spirits. Due to the much-appreciated help, I had was given in solving the water and light issues. The mind wandered again: The late appointment given me for today’s blood test appointment took the edge off of things a little though. I have to get bread, tomatoes, cheese, and some bleach somehow today. The Clinic I can get to anytime after 1400hrs. The dentist demand to be paid what I’d already paid rangled. My minds abstemiousness was being tested with these fears, worries, and challenges milling about in the brain.

WD0.51.102 Luckily, I was shaken out of this tempestuous mental turmoil, when I stubbed my toe on entering the kitchen to get the Health Checks done. Tsk!

2tue03

2tue04The sphygmomanometer worked the first time. But it produced some results that fretted me a bit!

The SYS and DIA were both higher. And as for the pulse… that was 103! Mmm?

Still, I found it pleasant to do the checks with the rooms light one. I got the medications taken.

WD0.51.102 I had to grab the grey tub quickly for another SSPWW. I’m sure it fizzled and bubbled as it hit the bucket. Now, this did frighten me at first. Then I realised I might have left some drops of antiseptic disinfectant and bleach at the bottom when I cleaned the tub. Phew! I saw the funny side of this, and may have laughed out loud! Hehehe!

I got on with the updating and finalisationing of the Monday Diary. Which took me far longer than I thought it would.

Made a start on this blog. Many errors were needing repeated correcting. Humph!

Got the kettle on to make a brew. A lot easier now I can see things in the kitchen. Haha!

I got the bag ready for the surgery and clinic with the nibbles collected and bagged. Then added some things to the Morrison order for Thursday (Porridge, cheese, and bleach)

2tue08Then went to make a pot of porridge for brekkers.

Oh, I am a milksop! Change my mind and had cornflakes instead.

I waited until 08:00hrs, then I could use the shower without disturbing anyone, and had a jolly-good, long enjoyable ablutionisationing session.

The legs remain abnormal. Haha! The difference in shape and fluid content remains a further oddity. The spider-veins, papsules, pimples, spots, bruises, pot-marks, 2tue07and unaccountable mystery scars seem to have changed, appeared or disappeared of their own accord, again!

WD0.51.102 Looking at this picture of the pins, reminded me of what a good idea of mine it was in response to advice given me by the Age UK advisor, to pay a professional decorator to paint the flat when I moved in. Humph! (See door frame bottom!)

2tue09WD0.51.102 When I got out of the shower, I found two EIBWBBBs (Evil Ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles) apparently swimming in the sink that contained the soaking in antiseptic disinfectant, facecloths? I had hoped that allowed entry by Willmott Dixon when they installed the new windows, weevils, had emigrated or hibernated for the winter, but no! Humph! Perhaps, with me having hot water for a few days, they thought they’d take advantage and have a bath? Hahaha!

2tue10I had a wee-wee, then gathered all the needs of the day into the bag and had a small mug of tea.

Which, is when I spotted the fantastic skyline outside. As the sun broke through from behind the flats, it clashed with the gloomy dark mist to produce this view. I can’t think of the word I need to describe it, surreal perhaps? No?

I took the four black bags of waste to the rubbish chute and got the sizeable white recycling bag fastened, and took it down with me on the way out.

WD0.51.102 Got to the lift door, then returned to the apartment to collect the hearing aids and swapped the reading for the right glasses. What a Nebech!

I called into the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights Flats, and Administration shed for the Generalleutnantess Wardens Temporary HQ, Willmott-Dixon workers breakfast and tea-break room, Sarcasm & Insult distribution area, Tenants Socialisation Shed. Rumourmongering Clinic. Telling Inchcock off Zone, Things like crockery and pottery to be stolen from, and residents room, and greeted Brigadeführeress Warden Julie. We spoke of recent events. But of course, I have been forbidden from mentioning any communications I have with any Nottingham City Homes personnel or agents, on this blog. So, I won’t.

Said our farewells of a sort, and I departed. A few residents in the distance were on their way to the bus stop.

WD0.51.102 As I meandered down Winchester Street Hill, the mind began to adopt its Negaholism-Mode. So strong were these depressive thoughts, I had got to the bottom of the hill and onto Mansfield Road, almost without realising it. Shame!

2tue10aI crossed over the road, spotting this sad sign of Nottingham’s future, and took a picture of it. Another closed-down Nottinghamian business up for lease! The bleak, wet roads, lack of shoppers and the sun beginning to shine, but it brought no hope with it… Sorry about that, got carried away. There must have been some traces of the minds moment of negaholism left-over. Hehe!

I hobbled up to the Post Office shop and got some sliced Polish bread, and two for a pound Scottish Highland Shorties. Paid the chap and out. Crossed back over the road, and down to the Continental store to see if they had any of the lemon croissants or chicken bacon in stock. They had neither, so back out to continue my slog to the surgery.

WD0.51.102 As I left t2tue11he store, this ‘Herbert’ of a Nottinghamian Pavement Cyclist nearly hit me as he came across the pedestrian crossing at speed and rode up the pavement.

By the time I got the camera ready, he was swinging his legs off of the bike, before he went into a door on the right between the shops. I recall thinking: “Wouldn’t be nice if he lost his balance at this point while there was nobody 2tue12cnear for his to fall on, and hit the lampost in front of him!” It was just another failed hope, like.

I legged it in the nippy weather up the hill, over and down into Carrington and worked out I had plenty of time before the late appointment blood test, to carry on to the Lidle store and shop.

2tue11aWD0.51.102 As I neared the Lidl, another Nottinghamian Pavement Cyclist came close to clouting me. I called out at this one, but apparently, it made no difference as the antisocial-scumbag, inconsiderate, selfish, arrogant, uncaring, blasé, callous, bullying, intimidating, git of a podle just carried on weaving between pedestrians at speed.

Into the shop, and I got a little carried away with the shopping. I arrived at the Self-Serve checkout with Lemon Swiss Roll (Treat for Nurse Nichole), Cooked Meat trimmings, Maple Cured Bacon, tomatoes, lemon cheesecake pots, Turkey weiners and Porridge pots. I got the things through without any hassle or need for the overseers to assist me, scowl at me or get annoyed! She still gave me a first-class scowl of contemptibility though! The bags were now heavier, and I blamed the doctor’s receptionist whoever it was, that gave me such a late appointment. Huh!

2tue12aWD0.51.102 As I left the store to walk back up to the surgery – another damned Nottingham Pavement Cyclist all but ran into me. I had to do the moving out of the way, she didn’t even attempt to change direction to avoid me at all. Until she came to a stop and locked her electric bike up near a shop! And walked into the store with a blank sort of vacant expression on her face. A good job she missed the most attractive and desirable looking mobile-using pedestrian lady!

Thinking about, the bike looked brand new, perhaps she had not got used to riding yet? Like with the mobility scooters, electric bikes: there are no laws to have any training, insurance, registration or testing before the riders set about scaring the hell out of the elderly, disabled, hard of hearing, sight challenged or disabled with sticks pedestrians.

Perhaps, The Rt Hon Matt Hancock MP, Secretary of State for Health and Social Care who graduated from Oxford University with a 1st in Philosophy, Politics and Economics, having studied at Exeter College, Oxford. He went on to earn an MPhil in Economics at the University of Cambridge, where he studied at Christ’s College, Cambridge, may like to make a note of this?

2tue12g

Or he may be too busy to bother?  He has a lot on his plate at the moment:

  • His love of horse-racing takes up a lot of his time. A fiddle-filled wanting something for nothing addicted sport, that should have prepared him perfectly for Politics!
  • His determination to hold a second Brexit Referendum.
  • Once, he chartered a private jet on the way back from a climate change summit as energy minister, as well as accepting money from climate change sceptics.
  • He’s mentioned the ‘NHS’ or ‘National Health Service’ in the Commons on average once a year during his time in Parliament.
  • His saying that the Government was planning a further £1bn worth of cuts to the health service next year!
  • He’s been accused of breaking the ministerial code after appearing to endorse his own smartphone app.
  • When Business Minister, he was made to repay £1,674 after being found to have misused House of Commons facilities.
  • He also retweeted a poem that suggested the Labour Party was full of ‘queers’, which he claimed was a “total accident”.
  • But lets give him credit, he is not yet as repugnant as the supercilious, overbearing, pompous, condescending, gut-wrenchingly nauseating Rt Hon Jeremy Richard Streynsham Hunt who he replaced as Health Minister, and has remarkably been made Foreign Secretary instead of being put out of Government, only because of the things he knows about other MPs and Ministers! Gott strewth, poor Theresa May is trying to Govern the country and sort out Brexit with morons like these, supposedly at her side. Poor gal!

Just a few thoughts, you know! Whenever our well-practised gormandizing, quomodocunquizing clusterfists and rapacious varlets known fondly to us proletariats as Right Honourable expense fiddling MP’s come to mind.

2tue12bI got to the surgery and logged in. The lady receptionist said in response to my bemoaning the late appointment time and telling her of the problems this causes me: “That was “?” who made your appointment, I thought at the time how late it was for you!” Ah-well! Got the crossword book out, but my befuddled brain was not really up to getting many answers solved.

Nurse Nichole arrived to fetch me into her treatment room. I could tell at first sight of her pretty smiling face, she was in a much more relaxed mood today. We had a hilariously entertaining (to me, anyway!) nattering session, aided by the bleeding really reluctant to stop after the blood taking. Much chinwagging and laughter ensued. It was almost like a happy ten-minute unbeatable holiday for m2tue12de! Gave her some nibbles, and thanked her. She told me to take off the wadding on the wound later than usual. Her word is my command (I left doing this until the morning, but mainly because I fell asleep so unbelievably early). Dropped off some nibbles for the reception team an off out.

I caught a bus back into Sherwood. Walked up the road and into the Wilko store. Plenty of time before the L9 bus back up the hill was due, So had a walk around nosing.

1mon32I bought a pot of fragrance boost and a new China type mug. It was £2, but I thought worth it because I had found how good the tea tastes from the similar little mug I got for 50p from the charity shop months ago.

I paid the lady and had a look around the next two charity shops, not buying anything.

Then to the Co-op and bought some Cox’s apples.

To the bus stop, where I met Mo and Frank, and we had a really good natter and laugh waiting for the bus. Back at the flats, we alighted, and Frank shot off at an impressive rate of knots. The wee-wee needs, Mo and I thought, Hehe!

More gossiping as Mo and I limped to the flats. Mo had a sit down when we got in to catch her breath, I stayed with her a while, more blathering enjoyed.

2tue12eUp and into the flat. Had an SSPWW, did the Health Checks and medication taking. Put the fodder away and made up some Polish bread sandwiches and some tomatoes, gherkins apple slices and mushroom added.

Made a brew in the new China-type mug, it tasted delicious! So pleased I have another one now, just in case I break the old one. Hehehe!

I enjoyed the salad. That Polish bread is so palatble, and with the extra salt in it, I didn’t need to use any on the tomatoes.

WD0.51.102 While eating and enjoying this nosh… I remembered that I had not visited the clinic! The emotions of nemesism, self-loathing, embarrasment, penitentiary thoughts, self-condemnation and disgrace came over me. I put the plate and tray on the side of the Ottoman, and stewed in my own disgust!

Evntually I turned on the TV, and drifted off to sleep before the TV had come on!

4Thu001aI woke with one heck of a start an hour or so later!

I had a wander around to see if I could identify the cause of me rude awakening but without any luck.

For some reason, I noticed that the temperature on the Nottingham City Homes gadget were both out of the green zones. But I still haven’t worked out if this is good or bad. My being uncultured, untaught, unschooled, untutored, untrained, unread, unscholarly, uninformed, uneducated, uncouth, unsophisticated, and an unaccomplished, unconfident philistine might be the reason. Nowadays, with the memory, concentration and eyesight going, there is little chance of any improvement? Hehe!

I got myself back into the £300 second-hand rusty, rickety recliner, and was off back into the land-of-Nod in seconds. Zzz!

Inchcock Today: Mon 31st Dec 2018: Best if it is forgotten! Humph!

Dec 31 2018

Monday 31st December 2018

Monday 31st December 2018

23:40hrs. I woke and stayed where I was, preciously perched half-on, half-off of the £300 second-hand rickety recliner. The mind deep in muddled, confusing thoughts. I spent a few moments trying to reclaim some recollections of the dream I knew I’d been having, and that it was not pleasant, could no memories were found lurking in the brain-box. Various bits came to mind for the day… The Asda (Walmart) delivery is due twit 06:00>07:00hrs. Another jet of wee-wee was building up. At least on the Furesomide, although the powerful evacuations cause splashbacks and a little pain, at least I get some warning beforehand now. What time is it? (Good heavens 2340hrs!) The fluid retaining legs feel a lot easier this morning. Hello, a Quick visit from Dizzy Dennis and Reflux Roger is kicking-off. The stomach is rumbling. Why are some of the Papsules bleeding? Maybe I might have been scratching them during the night? Did I take last nights medications? (I found out I had later, Phew!) I wonder if Nurse Nichole will do me today at the blood test? I mustn’t forget the Doctors appointment either… on and on the mind waffled to itself!

WD128.0.0 When I eventually tried to remove my hog-like body from the recliner, I felt Inchies Fungal Lesion crack and bleed, at precisely the same time a message arrived from the innards, telling me to get to the Porcelain Throne without delay! (I recalled at the time, thinking this does not bode well for the day’s fortunes, circumspection needed methinks. Hehe!)

WD128.0.0 Avoiding knocking anything down or any toe stubbing, I was off of the chair and got to the wet room and onto the Throne. (The legs felt a lot better, but the left ankle was giving me some grief) The splattery evacuation was all over within about ten-seconds! The cleaning and medicating of Little Inchies lesion took about ten excruciating minutes! Humph!

WD128.0.0 Another slight Dizzy Dennis spell as I left the wet room. I went to the kitchen to take the medications. Adding an extra Simvastatin to counter the ever-active sticking Roger Reflux valve!

1Mon01

Made a brew of good-strong Assam tea, and had another LHBLWW (Long Hosepipe-Blasting like Wee-wee).

WD128.0.0 While sitting at the computer making up the above graph of the INR Warfarin test results… I felt itching on my back, just below the neck, and it just had to be scratched! Which turned out to be somewhat of a problem for me, as I could not reach the spot that needed attending to. I tried up against the corner of the door, but this was very awkward and painful as I could not control the amount of pressure I was applying.

1Mon01aWD128.0.0 Then I tried using the small ‘picker-upper’ stick to apply some Germolene cream and have a good scratch at the same time, but this proved to be a bloodier approach to the problem! Hehehe!  Puzzled by what it was I was having a go at, I set about manipulating my right hand with my right hand and forcing the hand to reach to the area. I had a feeling about the session and decided that it was small boils that were the problem! I guessed at this by the blood and yellow/greenish puss on the tissue. Now, I have discomfort from both arms, elbows, wrists, and shoulders as well! Klutz! I’ll give the area a good rinse after the shower and try to apply some cream on it.

Another LHBLWW and I got the weekend diary post finished off. It was sad reading when I edited it, but a few times I found myself laughing out loud at my own antics. Hahaha! I sent it off to WordPress.

I went on the WordPress Reader section.

Made a start on this blog. I thought about having a bit of brekkie but resisted.

Had an SSWW (Short-Sharp-Wee-Wee) for a change? Then another one, five minutes later, Tsk!

Got the ablutions done early, no showering of course yet, too soon.

The Asda man delivered at 0615hrs.Thanked him and got the fodder sorted, after yet another SSWW!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Got updating this blog, and consumed the Raspberry Ripple later on.

WD128.0.0 Shame it didn’t taste like I remembered it did. Ah-well, likely the old gustatory cells stiff out of sync or tilt, with the ailments being like they are?

1Mon07cI got the baked beans in the saucepan with the seasoning, to marinate for use later. I’d decided on beefburgers for nosh today. I’ll buy some while I’m out.

At 0800hrs, I took the black bags to the waste chute and deposited then.

Got to think things through now. Dr Vindla at 11:20hrs, INR Blood Test at 12:00hrs, must remember to ask about the QMC appointment to see if they have it yet. Being holidays, I imagine it will be a few days before I am advised. Can’t be helped.

1Mon07bTook my shower and got things ready.

WD128.0.0 A quick snap of the morning view from the unwanted new light and view-blocking kitchen window, a fumble around to see if I’d forgotten anything. Glad I checked, I’d left the tap running.

1Mon08Off I trotted, down and out onto Chestnut Walk.

AS I limped along, I was overtaken by a few other inmates. I was limping along even slower than usual this morning. A tinge of jealousy overcame me, seeing the others getting a move one s they belted by me. Hehe!

I called into the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights, Generaloberstesses Wardens Temporary HQ. WC, Rumourmongering Clinic. Sarcasm & Insult distribution area. Tenants Socialisationalistic Area. Telling Inchcock off Zone. Crockery and pottery to be stolen from location, and inmates porta-cabin, and managed a natter with a few others, but they were apparently in the same mood as I was, and poorly with it. They also looked a little the same as me, in appearing to look so tired-out. Bless us all!

WD128.0.0 Disastrous news was given to me, that revealed perhaps, why the gloomy looks were on the faces of my fellow inmates… The L9 bus service is being taken off! Some of our residents were told this by the drivers. I am hoping and praying it will prove wrong. How do we get to the shops, surgery, blood tests and clinics without transport in bad weather?

1Mon09I got on the bus with the others and dropped off on Winchester Street Hill bottom. Where some disgusting Nottinghamian Street Art had been freshly deposited on the pavement. Some poor devil had taken a step in the wrong direction. Eurgh!

I set off along Mansfield Road and up the incline. I was moving at a fair rate of knots for me but was coping well with the pace for once.

1Mon10WD128.0.0 Near the top of the hill, the usual Royal Mail van, with the same two drivers sat in it, had parked in their regular place, right across the pavement.

I managed to walk by, on the inside giving the chaps a look of disgust as I did so, banging their mirror on the way by. How are people with prams, disabled carts, shopping carts supposed to get by, without going on to the road to do so?

I got myself to the surgery and logged in. WD128.0.0 Had a bit of a dizzy spell in there while I was sat doing the crossword. Tsk!

DR Vindla did various tests and seemed pleased with how the fluid retention had gone down in the legs and told me to carry on with the Furismide and come back to see her on Monday week. She needs to monitor the effects on the kidneys and liver. The QMC appointment will arrive next week in the post. She did not mention any blood-tests other than confirming today’s. I would imagine, I’ll get an Email from them when the results come back on the test I am about to have. I was dismissed, and returned to the waiting area, to be called to the Nurses room. I opened the crossword book (neither session on this book today, proved very auspicious).

Bit of luck then, it was Nurse Nichole who came to collect me. Luckily, the bleeding took an age to stop after the test, thus expediting a short but so-pleasant nattering session for me. Thanked the gal and handed her some nibbles for the New Year, leaving a bag of nibbles on the reception desk on the way out.

Once outside, I really didn’t feel well at all. A partial visit from Dizzy Dennis, the innards rumbling and fear of wee-wee escaping all made me nervous. So, I went to the nearest shop that sold beefburgers (Carrington Co-op). I selected a pack of four Co-op brand burgers from the freezer. That was the only choice they had!

Out to the bus stop, I went, and caught a bus within a minute, back up to Sherwood. Right timing too, (I thought at the time anyway), there was about five minutes before the bus was due. Four other tenants were also at the shelter, and a chinwagging, laughter and snide remarks were enjoyed by all, while we waited.

WD128.0.0 And I mean, waited! The bus was twenty-minutes late when it arrived, and the bladder was being tested like never before. I was scared stiff of being embarrassed if things should burst-forth, I had the PPs on but felt these would not cope if the Furosemide activated LHBLWW did arrive. WD128.0.0 It did so as I thought about it! I felt so ashamed and flustered! I tried to stand as far away from anyone as I could on the bus, and placed the bag in front of me, in case anything showed-up. The short trip up the steep hill seemed to take ages. I got off the bus first and dare not stop to talk to Cyndy and Roger who spoke to me… I made my way as quickly as I could to the flats. The other of course caught me up and passed me by.

Hell, I was so glad to get inside. Straight to the wet room to sort myself out. The PPs had coped better than I expected them to. The lesion had been bleeding. So, off with the clothes and binned them, under the shower for a long session of cleaning and freshening. While I was taking a shower, another unstoppable LHBLWW evacuation arrived! This state of affairs is getting to me now! Finally cleaned and changed clothes and did the Health Checks, the BP is very low again, and I wasn’t feeling too good. I put this down to my embarrassment factor. What will I do if this happens again, when no L9 buses are running?

I am now, sorry for myself, depressed and in a state of utter dysphoria. A nervous physical and mental wreck!

1Mon11I got the nosh sorted. I must be doing something right, cause I ate it all up. Beef seasoned baked beans with beefburgers, sourdough bread and a lemon dessert.

Flavour Rating of 8.8/10!

I got the things in the washing up bowl. Did the Health Checks. Then I got myself into the £300 second-hand recliner.

Lots on the gogglebox to watch.

Zzzz!

Nepali: शुक्रबार 28 डिसेम्बर 2018

00:08hrs. I bestirred, feeling tired still, and gently moved the limbs and joints of my poor old body… The fluid retention was still testing the limitations of the resistance of the skin in the legs and ankles. I found that my usually scrawny fingers had swollen a bit too. I didn’t fancy the walk to the surgery later for the wickedly timed 09:00hrs appointment with the doctor, then another blood test. But, I think the exercise is needed overall.

WD 0.31.0 I had to laugh when I lowered the £300 second-hand rusty recliner, the legs were so heavy with fluid, the thing ‘clunked’down with a thud! Hehe! I escaped the clutches of the recliner, and poddled carefully to the kitchen, with the intentions of getting the Health Checks done.

WD 0.31.0 But, I was side-tracked by a call to the Porcelain Throne, so, off to the wet room. Massive evacuation, a bit of bleeding… but worst of all, the little boils on the bum seemed to have increased in number. Worra life, gerrin’ old! Then I discovered the Little Inchies Fungal Lesion had been leaking again.

5Fri004WD 0.31.0 Cleaned up, to the kitchen. Oh, dearie me… When I did the washing up last night, I placed a cleaned saucepan on the hob, and had not turned the power off! Luckily, it was left on the lowest setting. I even managed to save the pan for a change and cleaned it up. Rather pleased with my effort in this.

5Fri001WD 0.31.0 Ah, the papsules had returned to my left hand! I’m getting fed up with all these sudden ailments coming at the same time! The Papsules back, Haemorrhoid Harold bleeding, the fluid retention, Little Inchies Fungal Lesion flowing again, Anne Gyna, Reflux Roger, etc.

However, the knee and ankle giving way had not happened for a few days. I assume that the fluid crammed in the legs is preventing it? Hahaha! Hey-Ho!

At last, I got around to doing the Health Checks.

5Fri002

5Fri001bI think the resulting readings were fine this time. Guessing really, Hehe!

I’m assuming the fluid retention is the reason for the increase in weight?

I noticed that this month Cetraben emulsifying emollient cream, had a new warning on the 5Fri003alabel:

Flammable Keep your body away from fire or flames after you have put on the medicine dressing and clothing in contact with this product are easily ignited by a naked flame!

I got the computer on and checked the Emails first in case any appointments or messages had come in from The GUM clinic or other of my medical second-homes. Hehe! I got this one from Sherrington Park Medical Practise:

5Fri006

WD 0.31.0 So, that’s been Monday, Thursday, and today this week, and now I’m booked in for next Monday. I’ve had calls from the ADVATC Anticoagulation Deep Vein Arterial Thrombosis Clinic as well. Might the end be nigh? Hehehe! Fret not, though. ♫’Que sera, sera’♫, there is more in life to worry about than death! Anyway, I’m not ready yet. Haha!

I set about updating the Thursday written narrative. Got it finished and posted off, then started this blog off. Visited the WordPress Reader section. Went on the TFZer Facebooking.

5Fri007Got some breakfast nibbled.

Watched a bit of YouTube accident clips.

Off to get the ablutions sorted out. The cunning EIBWBBBs (Evil Ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles) were all keeping their heads down, I didn’t see a single one?

5Fri007aBoy, were the legs well-bloated with water, or what? I’d just taken off my night socks. The limbs look ready to burst open. Hehe!

Then hurried and scurried around getting ready and off to the surgery.

5Fri08It was about 0800hrs as I left the flats, but it was still a little murky looking out there.

I place my big white bag of recyclables near the caretaker’s door. To the left of this photographicalisation, taken as I set off!

As I walked along Chestnut Walk, I took this 5Fri08aphotograph on the right about, of part of what will be new parking spaces for the better-off of the inmates with vehicles.

As I got ready to take a shot of the Winwood Extra Care and Winchester Courts, Obersturmbannführeress Deana came out of the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights, 5Fri09Generaloberstesses Wardens Temporary HQ. WC, Rumourmongering Clinic. Sarcasm & Insult distribution area. Tenants Socialisationalistic Area. Telling Inchcock off Zone. Crockery and pottery to be stolen from location, and residents porta-cabin. We exchanged a few words, had a laugh, and I went back to taking the picture.

5Fri10As I turned right, down Winchester Road Hill, the colouring was much different to yesterday, and the daylight seemed to arrive quickly.

I plodded on down the road, and on to Mansfield Road.

Were I nipped into the Continental Store to get a loaf of their excellent, but very expensive sliced bread. I came out with the sliced bread, 5Fri10asome cooked meat to go on it and a beef tomato. Now all I need is some potato curls from Lidl and a bottle of liquid soapflakes from Wilko.

A few more vehicles and Nottinghamians about this morning compared to yesterday. At the traffic light junction with Haydn Road, I thought the view related to how I felt for some 5Fri11reason, I forget what it was now. Tsk!

A little farther up the hill, my first Nottinghamian Pavement Cyclist was espied on the other side of the road. A long way off, but the zoom feature on the camera allowed me to catch the little scallywag!

5Fri12Minutes later, Nottinghamian Pavement Cyclist I caught number two.

He was extra naughty, as he swerved towards me as he shot by! Git!

Up and over the hill and down to Carrington and the Sherringham Park Medical Practice. My second home. Hahaha!

I got inside and handed the receptionist the appointment letter that Nurse Ann had printed off for me yesterday. A gentle frown appeared on the angels face, and after a quick clandestine word with the other receptionist, I was told to take a seat, which I did. I got out the Clarkson book and had a good read before Doctor Vindla came to fetch me into her room.

WD 0.31.0 As I struggled to get up and wavered a bit, my bag caught the decorated Christmas Tree, and a bauble fell off and into my bag!

In the surgery, I was told the blood test for today had been cancelled, and the Monday appointment is still on.

I explained my concerns, and the ever-patient Doctor gave me an examination or two. She checked my legs and asked questions about them. Regarding my memory and dizzies, she arranged for me to visit her on Monday, before the Blood Test with the nurse, she warned me it would be a lengthy examination, and made it for 11:20hrs. (Fungal Lesion?) She then sent a prescription electronically to the chemist, for some Furosemide PhEur tablets. A warning notice:

FDA warning: Liver function warning: This drug has a black box warning. This is the most serious warning from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). A black box warning alerts doctors and patients to drug effects that may be dangerous!
Furosemide is a strong diuretic (water pill) that helps your body get rid of excess water. It does this by increasing the amount of urine your body makes. If you take too much of this drug, it can lead to very low amounts of water and electrolytes in your body. This can cause dehydration. Your doctor will monitor your fluid levels and may change your dosage based on those levels.

Low blood pressure warning: This drug can cause low blood pressure. Symptoms include feeling dizzy and faint after standing up. If this occurs, move slowly when changing positions after sitting or lying down. If this problem continues, call your doctor.
Low potassium levels warning: This drug can cause low potassium levels. (Potassium is a mineral that helps your nerves, muscles, and organs work normally.) Symptoms include tiredness, muscle weakness, and nausea or vomiting. Call your doctor if you have these symptoms.
Low thyroid levels warning: High doses (over 80 mg) of furosemide can cause low levels of thyroid hormones. If you’re taking high doses of this drug and have symptoms of thyroid problems, call your doctor. These symptoms can include: tiredness, weakness, weight gain, dry hair and skin, increased feelings of being cold.

Oh, dearie me!

I will get an appointment from the QMC within six weeks. (Not sure what this is was for?)

I thanked her, and left on my way to the Carrington Pharmacy, to collect the Furosemide. When I told them about the thermometer, I’d bought from them yesterday, the fact that I had to keep buying cover cones for it and I could not hear the supposed two tones, even with the machine inside my ear! The Pharmacist came over, and what flowed from his lips about my thermometer complaint, was pure genius! Admittedly on their own, the facts he stated were absolute gobbledegook, gibberish, balderdash and mumbo-jumbo, but his use of double-talk and his timing were perfect, to bamboozle even an educated person into believing his jabberwocky, let alone an idiot like me. Admiration flowed, as I departed the Chemists and went off to Lidle for a nosey around. I got the curly fries as planned, some mushrooms and a bottle of bleach.

5Fri013Paid on the self-serve till, and caught a but back to Sherwood.

When I dropped off the bus, I wondered if Holland & Barrett had any of the French Chestnuts in stock. I know they are ridiculously costly, but they are gorgeous. I popped into the shop, to find they were selling them at Half-Price! I weakened and bought every jar they had left, all four! £3.50 down to £1.75!

Then over the road and called in the Wilko Store for the liquid soapflakes. Then into the next two charity shops, but I didn’t buy anything.

5Fri014Up to the bus stop, to be joined later by Doreen. A natter and laugh on the way home.

I got the things put away, turned on the oven ready for the curly fries later, had an SSWW, and put half a Furosemide tablet in the evening’s dosage pot with the other ones.

Got stuck into updating this blog.

Got caught up to here, and the weariness downed.

5Fri34So, I got the nosh sorted out. The Lidl potato curls were seasoned perfectly to my palate. The chestnuts tasted A1, and the pork and tomato sarnie was as good a one as I’ve ever had! Flavour rating of 9.45/10 given!

I soon ate it all up, not that there was a lot of it for once, and I made another sandwich up.

Sat down again to eat the new sarnie, and watch a ‘Frost’ DVD… I woke with sarnie still precariously balanced on the folds of my stomach and the TV still on!

Greek: Πέμπτη 27 Δεκεμβρίου 2018

3Wed2923:25hrs. WD 0.0.255c As I stirred into a simulation of life, the strong smell of cooking permeated my nostrils, and a spot of panic arrived in the brain. ‘I’d left the crock-pot on full, and then fell asleep last night!’ I fumbled and fought my way off of the £300 second-hand rickety, rusty recliner, stubbed my toe, knocked the mineral bottle off of the Ottoman and rushed to the kitchen! The crock-pot had almost boiled dry! So, no meal last night, oddly I did not feel particularly hungry.

Self-recrimination’ and ‘I Do Feel a Fool’ modes engaged!

WD 0.0.255c While cleaning things up, the most urgent of needs for an SSWW (Short-Sharp-Wee-wee) arrived. I grabbed the small plastic waste bin that I now keep handy for just such an emergency, and Christened it. Oh dear, the blood flowed from Little Inchies Fungal Lesion, so off to the wet room to treat and clean things up. This is not a good start to the day, and I have to go for the blood test and to collect the prescriptions later!

4Thu02WD 0.0.255c I treated the lesion, painfully, and cleaned things. Spotting three of the EIBWBBBs (Evil Ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles) on the floor near the shower drain this time.

As I took this photograph of the cunning weevils, I noticed blood on the paper towel. Yes, the lesion had started leaking again. I assume this will mean me trying to find time to get to the GUM Clinic… Oh, it will be closed today, Boxing Day! I dabbed away the blood, I can sort things out again when I have the shower during my ablutionalisationing session.

WD 0.0.255c The mind started off on one of its frenzied, neurotic, panicky brain wanderings, driven on, no doubt, by apprehensiveness and insecurity. Anything to fret about or be concerned over flitted through the grey-cells. A desire for anthropinisation lingered in amongst the other anxious-making, self-seeked fears. I was getting too much detail, all at the same time. For a few moments, I was another person altogether. I felt trepidatious. A Nervous Wreck!

While writing the above, the words flowed smoothly, but these mind-blitzes do me no good at all.

Back to the kitchen, feeling a great deal better and not knowing why I felt in such an improved mental state, I got the Health Checks done, made a brew of tea and took the medications.

4Thu03a

4Thu01The Sys seems to be going up and down regularly this week? I don’t think the problems I’m having with the Warfarin INR level should affect this, though?

The fluid retention in the legs has returned, they feel like hard balloons when I squeeze them. Will I be forward enough to ask the Doctor for a check-up when I get to the surgery?

I cleaned up the mess up that I made earlier in my panic-evacuation from the recliner. Bending down was more painful today, but the fluid retention might be the reason.

I opened the unwanted light & view-blocking new kitchen window and took three shots of the scene in front of me. I tried different options to see what they would come out like and learn their qualities. Auto, Night Sky and Stars. I’d best stick to using the Auto, do you think?

4Thu001

I got the computer on and updated the Woeful Wednesday post.* Taking four SSWWs while updating. *Mind you, today’s might be more Woeful, the way its started. Hehehe!

Off to the Porcelain Throne. Decent session, only the tiniest drop of blood from Harold’s Haemorrhoids.

WD 0.0.255c One more EIBWBBB spotted near the sink. A live one this time, I decided to go for the kill! But, the Sanmex Killer spray can was empty! By the time I’d collected a new one from my arsenal in the main room and got back to the wet room, the cunning EIBWBBB was gone, Tsk!

Made a start on this blog up to here. Taking three more SSWWs while doing it.

Then went on the WordPress Reader. On to the comments. Another SSWW, and on to the TFZer Facebooking.

CorelDraw next, I must get some page top graphics done in advance! I managed about three.

Got the ablutions tended to. Being later in the morning now, I could use the shower without disturbing my beloved neighbours, a very refreshing and enjoyable scrub-up! WD 0.0.255c I did manage to nick the chin shaving, which was a bit of a battle to stop bleeding, had to use the after-shave. Of course, the stinging pain was of no bother to a man like me. “Lie-Mode Engaged!” But it told me that the Warfarin level might still be too high, hence thin blood?

Got the dressing gown on and sprayed with deodorant and back to the kitchen to check on the beans in the crock-pot.

4Thu06aBack to the wet room for an SSWW…

In the few minutes, I’d been gone from the shower room, four EIBWBBBs and a baby one had shown up in there! One of the larger ones (Top right) was very-much-alive, kicking and trying to bite me! The dang things are winning this war I think! Cunningly using only small patrols to invade with and fooling me into thinking I might be 4Thu07winning the battle! Humph!

I got undies and socks on belatedly, and it came apparent to me why the joints and limbs were hurting and making movement a task for me. The legs were solid with the retained fluid.

I’ll mention this to the nurse, whichever one is on duty today.

I dressed and took the seven black plastic bags of waste to the rubbish chute.

The walk to the surgery is going to take some effort with how the legs, feet and ankles are feeling. Still, needs must.

4Thu08I had to push myself more than I would have liked, due to my taking too long in doing the ablutions, I’d left myself with only 50 minutes to get there.

I pressed on along Chestnut Walk and down Winchester Street. I thought I might regret not putting on the big coat, as everyone I saw had their scarves, gloves and hats on, but I didn’t feel too cold at all?

4Thu09Of course, I was manipulating two rock-hard swollen legs and feet, with a gallon or two of fluid in them, as fast as I could. Hehe! So that might have helped me keep warm a bit?

I cut through side streets to save some time.

I got to the surgery in Carrington, with five minutes to spare!  Smug-Mode Adopted.

I logged in and sat down doing the crossword in the book. Fifteen minutes later… Nurse Ann came to collect me! This was ineludible really, the way the day had gone so far! Grumph! 4Thu15Anyway, she fooled me today, and she listened to me when I spoke and did not answer at me before I’m finished making my point. Oh, Yes!

Concerned about how solid the fluid-filled legs were, and concerned about my dizzies, she made an appointment there and then for me – she even printed out a letter for me to take with me, to show Dr Vindla… 0900hrs in the morning! No rest for the wicked is there! Marvellous! 09:00hrs Doctors Appointments. 11:20hrs: Clinic Appointment. Shopping to do. Graphics page top headers need tending to. And I am expecting the appointment to arrive from the Anticoagulation and Deep Vein Thrombosis Clinic, and The GUM clinic. Gonna be a busy lad! As for the next laundry and getting the flat sorted… Humph!

I thanked her, and meant it, gave her a New Year pressie, left the treatment room, left nibbles for the reception staff and off outside and along Mansfield Road to the Carrington Pharmacy.

4Thu10And, I had a camera view of what was nearly an accident as a lorry pulled away from the opposite kerb, close to clouting the red car! Ace Reporter Inchcock Strikes Again! Hehehe!

WD 0.0.255c I collected the prescriptions from the chemist and bought a thermometer that takes the temperature from the ear-hole. Not cheap. But the thing that narked me, was once one bought it as I foolishly did – it needs a supply of plastic wax-defender-covers. What will they cost to buy? The few in the box will not last long, the instructions I read later said a new one needs to be used each time a reading is taken. Oy Vey! What a schnook, First-Class with Bar, Grade A, I am! I might get someone to scrawl ‘Gullible’ on my forehead for me! I could write a book, Gullible’s Travels! I really wee myself off at times!

Depressed and annoyed at myself, I trudged limpingly along to the Lidl store. I got some bread rolls to have with my attempted Chilli later. Honey Mini Ribs and Honey Gammon shanks and some beef cubes.

Paid at the self-serve tills without any problem.

4Thu11Caught the bus back into Sherwood.

With bag being heavy, due to the month’s supply of medications, the knees and ankles were suffering. Hey-ho!

I caught a bus back up to the  Winwood Heights.

WD 0.0.255c A sickeningly 4Thu12worrying sight near the Woodthorpe Court lobby entrance doors.

A paramedic car and an ambulance in attendance. The stomach went acidy on me when I saw these. I hope and pray that it is not too severe for whoever was in need of them.

Fingers crossed!

Limped up to the flat, had an SSWW and cleaned up 4Thu13where the lesion had been bleeding a bit.

Got the purchases put away. The mini-ribs and Gammon shanks looked like they should be tasty when I get around to nibbling them.

I opened the sack of medications and laid them out ready to rotate and store them in the drugs drawer.

4Thu14WD 0.0.255c You can see rip-off, expensive thermometer, that needs covers to be bought every time I use it and a massive battery that will cost I don’t dare to think off…

Sorry about that, Self-Pity Mode slipped in there!

Naughty, Inchcock!

I got the medicines stored and checked the 4Thu16crockpot contents. I moved the beans and mini-potatoes from the slow-cooker to the saucepan on a low light and added the chilli and some tomatoes.

It took me ages to clean the slow-cooker.

Another SSWW and I got on with updating this blog. So tired now, it’s gon my head-down time already. But, the late appointment today has cocked up my clock altogether today.

4Thu15Did up to here, and put the appointment letter in the jacket pocket, so I did not forget it in the mornings.

I kept nipping in to stir the concoction in the saucepan and nipping off for many SSWWs.

Proper fed-up, weary and the legs etc. are giving me gip! And, now I have just found some new boils. I won’t say where they are, but I found them by feel! Tsk!

Back on the computer… Guess What!

4Thu06

I gave up and got the nosh prepared. It looked and smelt highly appealing. But in reality, it was a major disaster in the seasoning department! Not sure what I put in the thing now, but, best forgotten anyway. The rolls soaked up the decent gravy, but I could not eat it all… Horrible comes to mind. Tsk!

4Thu19

I got the pots in the washing up bowl to soak. Tired as I felt, I thought it best to get the saucepans, and other things washed as well. Then, if I did feel as bad in the morning, I wouldn’t have to face the decoking job then. Haha!

I think I rang Sister Jane to update her on the medical matters.

Dizzy Dennis paid me a visit as soon as I got down in the £300 second-hand rickety recliner to watch a Frost DVD. Not sure what happened after that…

Inchcock: Monday 24th December 2018: Weevils revenge, a Whoopsiedangleplop surge, and the mind wandered off on its own accord a few times. Tsk!

Samoan: Aso Gafua 24 Tesema 2018

WD0.0.128 23:45hrs. It didn’t take long for the brain to recognise the desperate need (Yet again!) for the post-prandial use of the Porcelain Throne! For some reason, Arthur Itis was in a bad mood, and both knees were not keen on movement without pain.

But, I had to get through the discomfort and to the wet room and Throne – where I had to go through the same with the evacuation. A red-hot, burning and seeming at times to be an endless evacuation. It took a lot of effort, and the blood flowed.  I really must mention this to the nurse at my Warfarin blood test later, and add it to the QMC Anticoagulation Haemostasis and Deep Vein Thrombosis Clinic notes! What a mouthful! Haha!

1Mon01WD0.0.128 After cleaning up,  I spotted and collected several EIBWBBBs (Evil Ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles) from the wet room floor, all deceased. But they did look well-fed and fatter than usual to me?

And I really was starting to think that the Weevil War was over, as well. How come there were so few over the last few days, and now they counter-attack, yet again? It’s a good job I continued to spray the Santex every day! The cunning, mendacious, not-so-little-now,  mites!

Got the Health Checks done, and then updated the record on Excel, for last week and today.

1Mon01a

I worked out that I had to get the ode idea and diaries updated quickly. Because the INR blood test is due at 0815hrs today, instead of Tuesday, that being Christmas day.  Which means I’ll have to get the ablutions done at 0630hrs, to give me an hour to get the ablutions done, dressed, the nibbles ready, so I leave at 0720hrs, no later in case Arthur Itis gives me any bother, I have a feeling he will. Allowing me, about 55 minutes to walk to the surgery.

I got a message from Tim Price, pointing out about my temperature record being too low. So today, after the visit to the nurse, I’ll call in a chemist and get a new thermometer, hopefully, an in-the-ear one. And check on how to use it properly. Thanks, Tim. I turned up the heating on the radiators in the kitchen and computer room.

I got the weekend post finalised and sent off to WordPress. Then did the funny ode and photograph post was done.

Made a start on this blog.

1Mon01aaMade some brekkers again, for a change. Sausages, tomatoes and bread thins.

WD0.0.128 I realised I’d forgot to take the morning medications, so I did so, albeit a little later than usual. What an Utter Eizel!

My EQ told me that the Whoopsiedangleplops were not finished yet. There may well be ululations aplenty to come! The old EQ is rarely wrong, I’m afraid!

I tended to the ablutionalisationing. Not as refreshing as usual, with me not being able to use the noisy shower with it being so early in the day.

I could not take the five black bags of waste to the chute for the same reason, not wanting to disturb the other hostages… I mean residents. Hahaha! But I put two empty rinsed jars and the bag to drop in the recycling bin on the way out and took the white bag of recyclable stuff to place next to the caretaker’s door. Int life awkward, sometimes?

I got to the lift and down into the foyer, to find Cyndy doing her laundry, which cheered me up, having a little chinwag usual does that to me.

WD0.0.128 Tsk! it dawned on me that I had not put the hearing aids in! Back up to the apartment and collected them. Back down again, and said my farewells to Cyndy, who had kindly waited where I’d left my bags on the floor in the panic when I shot off for the aids, to watch things for me. Bless her! Thanked her, and set off out into the gloomy but beautifully coloured morning. I got about 50 yards and… WD0.0.128 I’d not taken the anticoagulation form with me! I’m running out of names to call myself without using naughty words. So many Whoopsiedangleplops this morning! What a nayfish! Back to the building and up to the apartment yet once more. No luck in finding the form, it had disappeared. I could blame the Weevils, but that would not be feasible. Hehehe!

1Mon05aFinally, at last, I set off again!

The colouring as I limped along Chestnut Walk was still looking amazing as I took this photograph.

The plates-of-meat were already stinging after all the extra ups and downs due to my malfunctions, botches and bungles, so far!

1Mon06A short way down Winchester Street, not far from where the Mystery Boots Fiasco tool place, last month, I came across some Nottinghamian Street Art with a difference.

I’d have had a peep at what was in the bags adorning the artwork, but if I delayed now, I might be late arriving at the surgery, and my EQ told me that it was not going to me Nurse Nichole in attendance. (I later found out it was right again!).

1Mon07I hastened with the feet getting ever increasingly pained, Tsk! Down Winchester Street Hill and turned right onto Mansfield Road.

Being the day it is, and the buses on a Saturday service, I was still surprised by the lack of traffic and pedestrians about. I couldn’t even see any Nottinghamian Pavement Cyclists!

I exerted my short, Churchillian-like body and limbs to the maximum, and pressed on up the hill, down the other side and arrived at the Sherrington Park Medical Practice in Carrington, and managed it with two minutes to spare before my appointment time! Not bad, considering all the Accifauxpas and Whoopsiedangleplops I’d suffered. ‘Smug Mode Adopted! (Temporarily!)

I got the crossword book out and had a failed go at it. Fifteen minutes later, Nurse Ann called my name out from around the corner!

WD0.0.128 I cowered, trembled and cringed. But somehow or other, I struggled up and out of the chair, dropped my book into the bag and carried it with me towards her, as I smiled bravely! Heroic I was!  Intrepid, bold, daring, audacious, undaunted, I ignored her rushing me, and took my time as I followed her into the treatment room…

WD0.0.128 Where the stout-heartedness evaporated! My regular famously demure, coy, submissive, cowardly Mode returned. Especially as I had to tell her I had forgotten to bring the Anticoagulation form with me… then mumbled my way through explaining about the farce I had earlier in going back to the flat… My words meant nothing of course. Just one of her Prize-Winning stares thrown in my direction that said: “Oh, yes!”, stifled my words, and I meekly carried out her instructions to the letter without saying anything other than in reply to her interrogational questions. As for asking about the problems I was suffering with, the ankle and knee giving way, the temperature concerns and Dizzy Dennis’s attacks… I’d sooner have gone bungee-jumping than risk asking her. Hehehe!

1Mon08I thanked her, gave her some nibbles and crawled away. I dropped some more treats on the receptionist desk and scuttled out into the now slowly changing morning light.

With a sky that I imagine would have been a delight to any Nottinghamian interested in the hobby of nephelognosy.

The chemist was not yet ope1Mon07an, so I carried on a bit and called in the Lidl Store. I wish I hadn’t now!

In the yellow painted retailer in this picture, the launderette, I noticed Big John and went in to have a chinwag with him for a bit.

A git of a Pavement C1Mon07byclist frit me as he belted by from behind. The Git!

On to the Lidl store. I wandered around, in no rush. I selected some salt & vinegar potato sticks, some mini-weiners, a cheese twist, and a baby pork pie (For Christmas Day breakfast, as has been my habit for years now). I got to the self-serve tills area and joined the end of a long queue.

WD0.0.128 By the time my turn came up…

  • Two women had banged into the back of my bad knee with their trolley.
  • A bloke had trodden on my corn, and gave me a dirty look?
  • And a woman had nipped in front of me taking my turn at the tills.

WD0.0.128 Tsk! My chance arrived, and I moved as quickly as I could to avoid being Queue-jumped again and started putting my few bits through the machine.

WD0.0.128 I was having a problem finding the cheese twist on the price list on the screen, I could hear the muttering and tutting behind me… A chap leant on my shoulder with chin and told me which button to press to find what I needed, I thanked him, then he came out with a naughty four-letter descriptive word for me! Oh, dear, worra day!

I left the store in haste, despite the bag I was carrying. I went to the chemist who was now open. Big John was having a fag near his car, and few words and a laugh were exchanged.

1Mon07cWD0.0.128 I went towards the pharmacy, to find it packed solid with customers. So I did not go in to get the prescriptions or a new thermometer.

The Pelican Crossing further along Mansfield Road was now out of order. The Flats in this picture, are named, Tavistock Court, has a little history. I remember them being built.

1Mon12A former Nottingham Post journalist who travelled the length of England for free using only his old folk’s bus pass started his journey here.

The Post Code had only had 182 reported crimes last year.

A single flat was sold at Auctions for only: £38,600!

Just thought, I’d mention it.

1Mon09I walked, well, limped back to Sherwood and called into the Ozan International Food Centre.

The one with the large young lady who overcharges or shortchanges you when she can get away with it. But what a body!

I got a small sliced loaf (£1.49, but tasty!) pickled mushrooms and two tins of chilli beans for a quid.

Then I called in the Boots Store and got a thermometer. I couldn’t get one that went in the ear but got one similar to the old one.

1Mon10The climb back up Winchester Street, took more out of me than I would have liked.

But I got up okay, with several stops to rest the corn, ankle and heel.

At least there were no Porcelain Throne needs while I was out and about.

1Mon11The sky and lighting were so beautiful when I got onto Chestnut Walk. I took this decent shot of the Winwood Heights as the yare today.

Not many prisoners around, in fact, I didn’t see one on my way to the apartment, anywhere?

I got in, and still, no more demands for the Throne arrived?

I put the bits of food away and got the oven on a low heat ready to warm up quickly for the chips later on. I’m going to make sarnies with tomatoes to go with the chips. Unless there is a change of plan.

A lot of banging and knocking from up above today. Big John I suspect.

I did the Health Checks. I got both of the thermometers and used them straight after each other. Tried them both, and got 33.1° on the new one, and 31.2° on the old one! Threw the used one in the recycle bin! It looks like it was acting up, then?

1Mon33I started to update this blog for a few hours, then decided I was too tired to continue. Poor old thing… Haha!

So got the chips cooking and made the ham and tomato sandwiches. A Flavour-Rating of 7.2/10, was given. Mostly for the wonderful tasting bread and the fries.

I spent about three hours watching the TV, about 70% of the time, asleep! Hahaha!

Woke up many times, and eventually gave up and turned off the telly.

Zzzz!
