Sethoso: Labohlano la 12 Tšitoe 2020

04:25hrs: Lethargically, I came back to life, unsure of if I had actually woken, or was still in the middle of the dreams I’d been blessed with overnight! A medley of ever-changing subjects, from the embarrassing, fearful, and belligerent, to plain confusing, but longed for, impossible, (nectareous!) romantic happenstances.  I’ll not go into details, cause I’m short of tablets, and don’t want to get myself all excited) Hehehe!

I’m putting the changes in the view photograhicalisations, that I took over four hours, on the right-hand side here.

To show the amazing difference in colouring, light, etcetera, that took place.

There was a light mist with the morning views that turned into a fog, but only for an hour or so, then it reverted to just being a little misty.

Then the fog started coming back! All very interesting. (Or not?)

The last one was taken through the balcony window, as the fog paled back into a slight mist. Sorry about the diversion.

Now, back to the tale of the short, plump, wobbly-bellied, bald, deaf, Saccades Sandra affected, 5′ 2″, well-overweight, hobbling, Nottinghamian pensioner’s rising from his recliner. His £300, c1968, second-hand, obnoxiously-beige-coloured, none-working (my Xyrophobia suffering, over amour propre Brother-in-law Pete, when he was searching the flat while I was in the hospital after the Stroke, and taking my valuables, and he took a rest. Fatal! He could not resist the electrics and mechanics of the chair and fiddled with them. Now the machine no longer works!), ramshackle, uncomfortable in the extreme, rusty, rickety, none-working recliner.

When I had manoeuvered my ever-changing legs to the ground, the thin night-quilt went with the tootsies to the carpet – entwined painfully in the overgrown toenails! Getting the toes freed was also a most uncomfortable experience! Cragknackling & Teeth-grinding!

As I was getting up and grabbing the stick to catch my balance, it became evident that Toothache Thomas was going to give me bother. I decided to risk taking an extra painkiller with the morning brew, for the pain seemed to be getting worse as time passed. Arglebonkangony!

I took the first of the photos at the top right, got the kettle on the boil, and did the sphygmomanometerisationing. Made the tea, and took the second picture. The SYS reading had come down, but it was still a tad high, methinks. The pulse at 76 should be okay, The thermometer gave a numbered readout for a change, 86°. Fahrenheit, I hope. Out of interest, I looked at the temperatures on Google.  I got this explanation to my question.

By the time it had sunk in, I’d forgotten what I’d read! Hahaha! Looks good to me.

Off to the wet room, to satiate the demands for the Porcelain Throne. It was all over within a minute or so! No pushing from me at all. Things moved under the control of the innards, and the evacuated product was massive, but not messy. The rear end bled a lot afterwards. I’m not sure if this was due to Harold’s Haemorrhoids or something else. The piles, I hope! Cleaned and medicated. I’m so glad, almost thrilled, to tell you that Little Inchies fungal lesion, had not, and wasn’t bleeding at all. So no hurtful medicating needed here, Yippie!

As I left the wet room, the flat seemed so cold suddenly? I adorned the thick dressing gown. Brr!

The Assam mug of tea had gone cold, so I invested in a brew of Glengettie Gold. Off to the computer, and made a start on graphicalising input. Added to the scribble on the notepad to remind me later of things, and eventually made a  start on the updating of the Thursday blog.

Many hours later, I’d got it done and sent off. Pinterested a few shots. Then I went on the WordPress Reader. Onward, to Facebooking, TFZer then to Winwood Heights.

I made a start on with this post, then went on CorelDraw to make up some more TFZer graphics. I read that a tenant ordered some from Amazon. So I ordered some. I’d hate to be in the pickle of not being able to get on a bus! Should be arriving tomorrow.

The day was dark, the sun didn’t put in a smile all day. The mist lingered on and on.

11:25hrs: Then I got seriously involved in graphicalisationing on CorelDraw. Back later.

15:55hrs: The intercom chimed out.

It was a young lady bringing me my prescriptions that the chemist told Obergruppenfhurer, Gymnast and Warden Deana yesterday, would be arriving on Saturday! No complaints, though! I’m just glad that I didn’t go out, expecting them the next day.

At least Carrington Pharmacy, 343-345 Mansfield Rd, Carrington, Nottingham NG5 2DA, Telephone number: 0115 960 5453, just up from the Lidl store, have kept to their habit of making me confused, every month. This time in reverse, and delivering them early for once, thanking them, kindly.

I thanked the young lady and gave her a can of cola with Jack Daniels in, to show my appreciation.

I put the bag on the kitchen counter and carried on trying to sort out the mess I’d gotten myself in with the graphicalising. I was trying to save some space on the hard-drive, by transferring some of the earlier graphics I’d done, to the drop-box. Well, I got deeper and deeper into a state of utter frustration and confusion.  All caused by Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley, making me hit wrong buttons, or hold onto them too long, or not pressing, but thought I had!

Suddenly it was 19:00hrs! Oh, dearie me! I’m tired and weary. The head is spinning, and I have to give up. Too mentally-exhausted, to carry on. I did get so involved in the task as well.

I’ll make some Dagwood filled rolls, I dare not risk any cooking, how I feel now. Beef and tomato methinks. I may have to fight off, falling asleep to eat them. I’ll get them made up now. I’m an old furshlugginer, who should have my name mentioned in despatches!

Well, that was farcical again! No bread, other than frozen! Some, thick bellied and thicker brained old pensioner forgot to take the loaf out of the freezer, didn’t he! This failure of memory means I shall have bake to some cobs in the oven after all! It’s quicker than defrosting without a microwave. Grumph!

I shall have to wait for the oven to get hot enough, of course.  Bungle-Grumplewuncks! What happened to the hours of the day? Still, If I can save internal memory on the computer, it will be worth the anguish.

What next? Here’s what: I burnt my left middle finger, as I put the rolls in the cooker for regulated ten-minutes. Burnt my fingers as I got the rolls out, and again when I tried too soon to slice and butter them.

I ran the water over the worst of the scolds. At least there was nothing on the plate to go cold while I did this. I was getting wearer all the time, but the thought of eating kept me going. Hahaha!

Eventually, after making many crumbs spread about, and cutting my little finger on the slicer-knife, I got the plate served up.

As I took the photo of the served-up meal, I spotted something in the background, that made me feel even more incompetent than I actually am. Laying, where I now remember leaving the Warburtons on top of the crock-pots. The packet of Soft Brown Bread Thins. I’d left them there this morning, so I would not forget to them! Bungleworthiness!

I just left the pots in the bowl soaking, all I was up to was sleeping. I got down in the c1968 recliner, put the TV on, and found a documentary on which interested me, about the Australian murder, years ago. I’ve not watched the telly so late for donkey’s years, I was shattered and all uptight, and decided to watch this long two-hour long programme.

I actually stayed awake for the first hour (well, there was a few short nod-offs). Then the big advertisements came on! I still don’t know how things ended, cause I drifted into sleep mode!

For five hours, uninterrupted kip! That was pulchritudinously, welcome!

WD 0.30.0B 01:05hrs: I woke to the sounds of the blowing winds, rain hitting the windows. And I could still hear the flipping ‘Hum’ from the inside at the same time! Oy-oy-oy! A wee-wee was needed, and it was growing more urgent second by second. The battle to get out of the second-hand, £300, c1968 recliner, was a struggle. During which it came to light that Back-Pain-Brenda and Anne Gyna were both going to be a hassle today. But thankfully, Arthur Itis seemed a lot easier on the knees! The toothache appears to have eased off a tad? I’m not complaining about that!

I grabbed the stick and utilised the GPWWB (Grey-Plastic-Wee-Wee-Bucket). It proved to be of the SSP (Short-Sharp-Painful) style. But with a high degree of splashback. Off to the wet room for a hand wash. I tried for a Porcelain Throne visit while in there, but no luck.

WDP 09aLWD 0.30.0B Off to the kitchen, where I was flabbergasted to find the cupboard doors open, and the medical drawers pulled out. With various bits and pieces of cutlery and pottery in different places than normal? What’s been going on here! I looked around at the disorganised mess, and for the life of me, couldn’t remember, understand or work-out what had happened! Ah, nocturnal meanderings perhaps? Baffled completely now! To a certain extent, I managed to ostracise my worries and concerns from my mind, which was a rarity indeed, an aberration, a deviation from normality and ordinariness in itself! Inwardly, my EQ gave me a smirk?

WD 0.30.0B I got the camera to take a picture of the state of the place, and diverted to take a shot of my extraordinarily, ever-morphing legs!

Gone was the colouring of yesterday, 7Sun07the cadaverousness-bloodlessness had returned. With a few extra lumps, clumps and blood-papule growths more prominent today. The legs were of a different size to each other. The worrying signs of cramps around the shin area… but why can I not recall having any pains during the night? I pondered on trying to understand the when what and why for’s. Why should I go through the cupboards and draw, leave the mall open, and get my head down again? My IQ interrupted, with a sort of; “Forget it, at least whatever happened, you got through it uninjured!” He rounded off his statement with snide-snigger! Which made sense to me.

WDP 003aWD 0.30.0B I took my medications, made a mug of tea, and had to shoot off back to the wet room, which was done with ease, to use the Porcelain Throne. Argh! Squawk, caterwauling and ululations! Talk about pain! What in hell had I just passed? I wonder if I might have eaten a saucepan in my nocturnal wanderings! Hehehe!

WDPH01L4WD 0.30.0B I was most disturbed when I got the computer going to update yesterdays post. Battling for domination of the imperfect brain, was the ‘Hum’, the mystery of the night’s kitchen fiasco, and Back-Pain-Brenda and Anne Gyna’s unwelcome attentions. Then the toothache got a little worse. So, I got another codeine phosphate 60g down my gullet and carried on blogging.

I did the comments first. Then on the WordPress Reader section. Later on the TFZer Facebooking.

Eventually got round to updating the Sunday blog. Which was more relaxed than it has been for ages! Saccades-Sandra and Nicodemus Neurotran1Mon03smitions were both being so kind to me! Yee-Ha!

Ablutions to be tackled! Off I limped to the wet-room. An amazing session! Dropsies were limited to the razor (3), toothbrush, and the showerhead (2).

WD 0.30.0B The pins (legs) looked a little changed, even from the early morning shot? The toes were curling a tad too. Gawd knows why? Still got some of the odd spots from yesterday, and maybe the ankle ulcer is having another go at coming back.

As I was putting the camera on floor-cabinet, I took an unintended picture. Huh! It came out betterer than some intended ones I’ve taken. Hahaha! While looking at the photo later when I got back home, I realised the chest hairs had gone again! No wonder I was getting confused at finding hairs in the sink earlier! This has happened three times since the stroke. Another mystery of my beloved Woodthorpe Court, that lies somewhere between the twilight zone and a wormhole slipping through a tear in the fabric of space & the spacetime 1Mon16continuum. With illusion, delusion, & hallucination, rife! Hey-ho!

I got dried, dressed, and tended to the handwashing. It was easier and quicker than yesterday, I only did a pair of socks and a long-sleeved t-shirt. I don’t recall spilling any water this time, either. Smug-Mode-Adopted!

Then after they were done, wrung and hung, I got a few bags taken to the chute, and one big one to take down with me for the skip.

The timing went well this Monday. As I set off, after a couple of pitiable returns to the flat to check the cooker, then the taps, I got the big bag in my hand and the three small black ones on top of the walker-guide.

WD 0.30.0B Off to the waste room, then down and out to the new skip. I’m afraid the lid has been made a lot smaller on this one. With the strong winds wanting to blow me away from the skip, I had a job getting the bags in it!

WD 0.30.0B 1Mon04Then, the planned amble to the bus stop became another challenge to overcome. The nasty winds did their best to send me back to Woodthorpe Court for a time, then fell-off as quickly as they had started! By the time, a few minutes only, that I got to the bus stop, the winds returned. Then packed in again?

As the buses both arrived, I went to the Winchester Foyer, to help Christine to the shelter in the high gusty wind, and it dropped again. Ah, well! A big crowd for the buses today, as is expected on a Monday, though. The City-bound bus arrived ahead of the Bestwood one. Surprisingly, only about four tenants got on it, including me. I had a bash at the crossword book to start with, and the trip was excellent and steady, no battling to stay in the side-saddle seat.

I arrived in town at the terminus on Queen Street, thanked the kind lady driver, and gave her a nibble bar.

The wind was evil in the City Centre as well when I got off the bus. I hobbled against the weather, down to the Slab Square. I took a series of photographs, left to right.

1Mon07I walked the periphery of the Square and crossed over South Parade on my way to the Poundland Shop. Where I had a sniff around, and arrived at the self-serve checkouts, with the following in my basket:

A pork Farms pork pie (well they are excellent value at a quid [Guilt-Mode-Adopted!]). A BLT brown bread ready-made sarnie. Kitchen roll (they are just the right size for blowing my nose on!) A beef pastie, Dettol plain and lavender disinfectants. Toothpaste. A toothbrush (to replace the one I broke in half in my gob on Saturday, Tsk!) Cashew nuts, razors (To replace the ones I broke on Friday). And, a spray of ‘For Man – Addiction Gold perfume spray! (Well, I can try! Hehehe!)

1Mon08I had help from the same kind lady in putting them through for me. (I got a look from her when she put the ‘Man Perfume’ through the till, that said; Ah, bless him!) I gave her a can of Gin & Tonic in thanks. Then out back to the Slab Square. I took a zoomed-in shot of the flag pole on top of the Council House, that had been bent over in the high winds! Oh, dear!

I had an amble around the Square, snapping merrily away.

1Mon10The winds seem to be dying down, but no! As I made my way up Queen Street to Parliament Street, they gusted again. I can’t remember winds doing this before – I blame Brexit, myself! Hehe!

A chappie had apparently been assigned to watch over some underground works taking place. But the girls trying on clothes in the White Rose 6 store that sells ladies handpicked recycled fashion and accessories in support of Aegis Trust, was too much of a distraction for him. You can’t blame him!

1Mon14bWD 0.30.0B When I got up onto Parliament Street, to take a photo of the traffic, I noticed a right born pillock. I think he was a food delivery nit, judging by the box on his back. He rode the wrong way against the traffic, then road his moped whatever it was, over the pelican lights 1Mon14aweaving between the crossing pedestrians! Terrible! Anyway, I took the snap along Parliament Street of the buses, in case any of my thousands of followers and reader from the USA, might find it of interest. I know they both like buses. Hehehe!

Then, as I hobbled down the hill to t1Mon14he bus stop, to take the last photo in town for the day, the wind got up again and the sun did a runner, luckily I caught it just right! Or I thought I had.

WD 0.30.0B Ailing Nicodemus Neurotransmitters packed up as I was just pressing the button on the camera! Luckily, I have got into the habit of slipping my hand in the grab strap regularly nowadays, and this trait saved me dropping the Canon on the floor! Phew! Lucky!

WD 0.30.0B I got on the bus, and immediately recognised the driver as being the Stirling Moss fan! I braced myself for a journey of battling to stay in the side-saddle seat. Just as well I did. By the time we got home to the falts, Back-Pain-Brenda and Arthur Itis had both started off! Humph! Still, I had a Chinwag with Christine on the bus.

We arrived back, and I made sure I was nearby her, in case the winds got blustery. We had a lovely natter as we walked through to Woodthorpe Court, and in the lift. Sadly I said my farewells as I got off the elevator.

I got in the flat, and no needs for any wee-weeing came. (A little unnerving that!) I got the purchases put away, and sliced some mushrooms and got them in the saucepan, with onion salt and balsamic vinegar.

WD 0.30.0B There were noises I could not recognise, banging, rustling tapping coming from somewhere inside. The ‘Hum’ continues unabated and is joined by gusting, almost singing winds occasionally. Back-Pain-Brenda and Arthur Itis were both bothersome since the bus ride home. Thank heavens the toothache was not so bad, but it’s early yet.

I made a start on updating this blog, as the sky turned into what must have been a nephrologists delight. Beautiful!

1Mon20

1Mon21WD 0.30.0B But, when I opened the unwanted, light & view-blocking, thick-framed, disliked photographer-hating kitchen window, the howling wind blew through and spread about the kitchen towels, tea bag pots and oven mitts onto the floor. The window almost clouted me in the face! Cholericalisations!

1Mon23I got to three hours past my usual head-down time. Gave up on the computerisationing, and got the nosh sorted out.

WD 0.30.0B When I got it into the front room, I wondered why I left a gap in the middle of the plate? In this photo, I’d forgot to add the mushrooms. I went back to the kitchen and got them out of the saucepan and added them to the dish. Tsk!

Taste Rating of 7/10.

Got the TV on, an interesting program open the Smithsonian channel, about failed Moon missions. I thought I’ll watch that! Huh! Zzzz!

Inchcock Today – Wonderful Wed 22 Jan 2020: Griping, verbal-sniping, insults, chinwags, put-downs, argle-bargle, the world put to rights! Yee-Haa!

XJan22

WDP 2019B0122:25hrs: I stirred, in somewhat of a bit of a puddled state. I thought I had only been asleep for a few minutes, I got the spectacles on and found I’d kipped for about four hours or so. I withdrew my excessively overweight, lardy-stomached body from the £300, grotty, second-hand, c1968 recliner.

WD 0.0.0 (1a) I grabbed the walking stick, and within three paces on my journey to the Porcelain Throne, I stubbed my toe on the hearth of the electric fire! As I was busy absorbing the pain and trying not to swear out loud,  the ‘Hum’ became more and more noticeable and loud! Grangle-Grumps and Hoggledruids! That put an end to my plan to get my head back down after the evacuation, I was physically more awake now, at least! Haha!

I got to the wet room Throne in time, barely in time again, thanks to the altercation twixt my toe and the furniture! The releasing was less painful, less messy, and quicker than recently. But a considerable amount of bleeding? Why the difference almost every time I visit, I don’t understand. It doesn’t take much to obnubilate my brain nowadays.

3Wed04WD 0.0.0 (1) I put the kettle on and moved the handwashing to above the heater. Then I realised I’d not taken the evening medications. So I did.

I had a look, out through the light & view-blocking, unwanted thick-framed new kitchen windows, and the fog was about. I took a photo, sticking my camera attached to my hand by loop, out and blindly had to take this photo, of the Chestnut Walk car park below. I say blindly; because the new window’s poorly painted black ledges stick out so far. That it is 3Wed01a physical impossibility for someone of my plump stature, lack-of-height, physical limitations, ailments and old age, and I cannot get to see out and down, through these hideously-designed windows, like the old ones that we were happy with. That was before the two-year plus, two-million pound plus modernisation. That has left me with dangerous electrical sockets. Ruined carpets. New storage heaters Einstein would not understand how to use! That crumbling new balcony that the glass fogs up to block the view, windows in it that need a masters degree, the strength of Goliath and a first-aid-box at the ready before I dare try to open them! Hello, I wandered of the subject again. Sorry!

Where was I? Oh yes, gorrit now! I made the brew and took the medications and got on with updating the Tuesday diary. Which with my being stuck indoors again all day, few photographs were taken or needed. So I got it completed fairly quickly.

I got some mushrooms and new potatoes into the slow-cooker, added some .balsamic vinegar to it. No real plans on what I was going to have to eat later on, but it had to involve mushrooms and potatoes, now. Har-har!

WD 0.0.0 (1) The EQ butted in as I got the blog finished, and I was feeling rather pleased with myself! Just a simple warning; “Something is going to go wrong, you’ve been lucky so far. Try to accept it as a natural part of your existence – it has to happen to stem any chance of Inchcock feeling any contentment! And you know how nervous that makes you feel!” A bit precise there, Humph!

The ridiculously loud ‘Hum’ was growing more emphatic than ever! It might be the end of the world coming. I didn’t think I would live long enough to see this. Not that it matters much to me, I’ve not been very successful at living anyway. Never got the hang of it, I suppose.

WDP 001 LaWD 0.0.0 (1) I was on CorelDraw, uploading the photo I’d taken, and the computer screen flickered, and the Dreaded Blue Screen came on with the message: Your computer has met a problem. We will record this and restart when the details are accrued. I fumbled to get the camera to photo the screen, found that the SD card was still in the reader, got it in the camera, switched on… as the computer started to reset.

WDP 13cLWD 0.0.0 (1) I opened things on the computer and found that I’d lost the CorelDrawings, the blog and Word notes I’d done! Crying was an option that I considered, as was smashing up the computer and suicide. But I settled for some silent, although I have to admit, hellaciously-vicious, heinous cursing! But I still wanted to cry! The EQ was right again.

I had to get some graphics done again, I had none ready in advance at all now! I was in a right furciferous mood now, and almost instantly, Duodenal Donald kicked-off, and it was most uncomfortable. I know the Peptic crap medicine is not much use, but I took a good few gulps and a Ramipril and Lansoprazole in the hopes of calming the innards down. For what good it did, I might as well have phoned for the Bank Manager to help!

So, fed-up, in pain, being driven mad by the dastardly-annoying ever louder, ‘Hum’, and in a right pee’d-off mood, I began working again on CorelDraw (Fingers-crossed!) But things went wrong, and CorelDraw was playing me up. So, I abandoned the computer, resisting the temptation to drop it down the waste-chute, and went to get the ablutionalisationing sorted.

I took a couple of photos from the kitchen window first.

2Tue30

While performing the ablutions, Duodenal Donald, suddenly departed? Most pleasing, but surprising. The session went very well, indeed. No toe-stubbings, no Sock-Glide injuries, only one shaving cut, and the dropsies were only about five in number!

4Thu06WD 0.0.0 (1) After getting freshened and medicated afterwards, I had a few incidents. I dropped the fresh-air spray can twice, the Germoloid and Savlon tubes, the body spray, and Saccades-Sandra drops! The only one that really wrangled me was when I was struggling to get the trousers on, Shaking Shaun visited me at just the wrong moment! I lost balance and fell towards the floor cupboards.

WD 0.0.0 (1) Then I had to retrieve; the toilet rolls, the Corticosteroid and Daktacort tubes, the Olive-oil and Eye drop bottles, and a load of PP’s, which I had stacked neatly in the corner, thinking they would be safe and handy to get at, from where they’d fallen on the floor! I have little confidence in the way I had got them re-stacked. Grungle-Grumps!

Hey-ho! Things could be worserer. At least I am pleased to be getting out and about, even if it is only to see the Bank Manager!

Made up the black bags to take to the chute on the way out, and got some potatoes in the crock-pot. Then, I got dressed up nice and warmly. I could see it was wet and cold outside, but the fog had lifted.

I set off, to the chute, then down in the elevator. Along the link-passage to Winwood Court lobby, and bravely knocked on the ILC’s (Independent Living Coordinators) Holding Cell, Interrogation Room and Office door! (Haha!) Sheena was in on her own, I handed out the Easter pressie treats for all three, chatted at least 12 words between us, and set off for the bus stop through the Windwood Court Social room.

WDPT02LMeeting up with Jenny ♥ and Frank, Doris, Margaret, Christine, Betty, Penny, Welsh William (who ignored me in his usual casual, but expert fashion), and some other Winwoodonians. We moved out to the bus stop, and much laughter, accusations, griping, verbal-sniping, insults, gossiping, put-downs, argle-bargle, and putting the world to rights was done and I enjoyed hearing it all. By gum, some days like today, it is a pleasure and honour to listen to the gang when they are in full verbalistical flow. I love it!

On the bus, the nit-picking continued for the few stops down Winchester Street, where most of us alighted the bus. I got off last as is usual. To avoid catching anyone with my trolley and or, being shoulder charged or trod on. Hahaha! I had a natter with Jen and Frank as I waited for the lights to change, then crossed over to the bank and entered.

WD 0.0.0 (1) Only one cashier on duty and a fair-sized queue to join. But it didn’t matter to me, I was in no rush, I had an hour before the bus to go back up the hill was due. Then the full force of Shaking Shaun and Dizzy Dennis came! With a peripheral neuropathic inspired, involuntary Neuropathic Schuhplattler drop-something and flail-about dance from the right leg was performed! I did feel a fool, right in front of many customers, the CCTV camera as well!

WD 0.0.0 (1) Luckily, there was a long wait in which I regained some control of the limbs, all bar the right arm and shoulder anyway. They were twitching away for ages, even when I got served.

WDP 1RWD 0.0.0 (1) Then the stuttering starting! The lady was short on sympathy and empathy. She got a little vexed and irked with me, I think. But she was under pressure being the only one on the counter. The line of customers was ever increasing as I struggled to get my messages across to her. Then a slightly harassed looking lady opened the till next to the one I was on and started to serve people. I didn’t actually look directly at her, but then I didn’t need to. I and my EQ sensed the daggers!

Very slowly, Shaun and Dennis began to ease off, although Dizzy Dennis stayed with me for a while longer. Eventually, Stuttering-Stephany departed as well. I handed in the cheque. Asked for some money, and explained why I needed to see the Manager, to clear up my confusion and sort out why the interest had been cancelled.

WDP 1LWD 0.0.0 (1) However, the Manager was not available today, I could make an appointment. I agreed, hoping and praying that it would be on a good day for me healthwise. So, I agreed. One was made for 10:00hrs on Wednesday 29th January. Hope I’m still alive then. Hehehe! When the stuttering stopped, the lady began to change her firm stance and obvious 3Wed14annoyance at me. She gave me a card and stapled the time and date to it. Telling me that if I can’t get at that time, I’ve to ring ASAP the number on the card and inform them. I thanked her.

As I departed, the dividing plastic protection glass, seemed to mist up a bit? I assume it was her exhalation of air, her massive sigh of relief, at getting rid of me! Haha!

I got out of the bank onto Mansfield Road. Still not feeling right, a smidge unbalanced, and stood a minute or two leaning up against the wall, and took a photo of up, then down, of Sherwood’s, Mansfield Road.

3Wed06

3Wed05I then spotted the piece of Nottinghamnian Street Art, beneath the cashpoint (ATM). Possibly an Alcoholic inspired display of an overrated takeaway meal? Tsk!

By then, I was free of bother from Saccades-Sandra, Duodenal Donald, Arthur Itis, Stuttering Stephany, Reflux Roger, Back-Pain Brenda, and Peripheral-Neuropathic-Pete! Dizzy Dennis was lingering a bit, but far less severe. I do hate it when I get a visit from Stuttering Stephany, and always, well mostly, when I am talking to someone unknown to me? Thank heavens these episodes are a rarely suffered.

I hobbled up the hill, knowing if I did go into a shop, I might miss the bus! But the craving for the Puff Pasty Fingers was too intense for me to resist them. So, I popped into the Az Local Sherwood shop. As I went in, my old mate Big John (Wayne), appeared on the pavement. It CydMargBJwas nice to see him after so long. The girls at the flats have certainly missed him. This photo was taken a few years ago. In the temporary social and wardens cabin. Happy times, but it makes me realise how much I missed seeing Jenny and Cyndy every week. Hehe! We don’t go to the new Thursday social now. I wandered off the subject a bit there! John said he’d call on me later on. But he said that fourteen months ago when I met him in Carrington. It doesn’t matter though, he’s a popular and busy bloke, who’s helped me out so many times in the past.

3Wed08I popped into the shop, with the help again of Big John, who held the door open for me to get the three-wheeled walker-guide through the narrow doorway, bless him.

I didn’t have the time to nosey around, I made for the Puff Pastry Fingers shelves and was glad to find some in stock, I got two packets. Then I grabbed a pack of tomatoes as I made to the checkout counter to pay Az. Who actually greeted me when I hobbled into the shop. Made me jump, him talking! Haha!

3Wed11Out and made my way up to the bus stop, across the pelican lights to the top of the hill. I have to say; I was in much better condition by then. The only ailment still giving me bother Dizzy Dennis, but, nowhere near as bad as earlier, hardly bothering me really, but the fact that he was still there, boded poorly for the evening. He is usually in the face or no there at all; he doesn’t often hang on like this. But hey-ho, I can cope with it if he doesn’t start spinning me. Like Prince Andrew, No sweat! Humorous, biting sarcasm sneaked in there! Hahaha!

It helped cheer me up when I got to the shelter. Jenny, Angela, Roy,  and Frank joined me, and the sarcasm’s, telling Inchcock off’s and laughter began! Meeting them, reminded me of how much I miss the old Hut Social Hour. And Roy was looking so much better today, I have been a tad concerned after his fall last week, on Mansfield Road. He’s a fighter and bouncer-backer, without a doubt! Good for him, and Angie! As are Jenny and Frank too. And me. We all are! Har-har!

3Wed012a

The bus arrived, and we were soon back at Windwood Heights. I got off last again, and with light, a not loaded trolley, I had no trouble getting off the bus. I did have a job catching up with Angela and Roy. Angela with her new three-wheeler-trolley guide, had mastered it already, as they eventually waited for me to catch up with them at the foyer. That was nice of them! They had a sit-down in the Winwood lobby settee. I didn’t want to have Arthur Itis having another go at the knees by bending to sit again after the bus trip, so said my farewells and carried on to Woodthorpe Court.

3Wed12 (2)I got in the apartment and tried to concentrate the mind on what needed doing. The first thing was, I got the computer on and added the Banks appointment to the calendar. No excuse to miss it now!

It dawned on me, how the calls to the WC had been so scarce today? Mmm!

I pondered with great assiduity and much ditherisationing on what to eat as sustenance to help keep my magnificently honed body and mentally-alert brain in good condition. (Alright, that’s enough laughing! Hehehehehe!) After deep thought, I opted to have the braised steak in gravy (boil in the bag type) for my din-dins. Then I can put the mushrooms, potatoes and garden peas in. And, maybe have a dip of bread in the gravy? Dad used to do that… when we could afford meat or gravy. A rare treat!

WDP 2019a2WD 0.0.0 (1) I got the photographs onto the computer and kept nipping into the kitchen to check the pan of mushrooms and potatoes, the pan of peas and the pan of water with the beef in didn’t overflow. Of course, it did, several times! I can’t remember ever having a meal using three saucepans and nowt else? I had to clean up almost every time I went to check the fodder!

3Wed15What an ambrosial feast!

Rich onion grave, beef, mushrooms, garden peas, new potatoes, two slices of bread, a strawberry trifle for afters, and no need for wee-weeing during eating. Flavoursome in the extreme! Add to this, the ailments, (well Dizzy Dennis was lingering, but not badly, I just hope he hasn’t taken up permanent residence!), and the ‘Hum’ dying down – and the contented well-filled stomach… I felt great! (Of course, I knew it couldn’t and wouldn’t last, but made the best of it!)

4Thu08I stayed in the chair, wallowing in a sort of satisfied, happy stomached self-contentedness for ages, then forced myself to go and get the pots washed.

It’s surprising how sharp them cheapo Wilko forks are, innit!  Tsk!

Another rotten night in which I woke-up frequently and in a disoriented state of mind. This I put down to either the wonderfully luxurious meal I enjoyed, or, and more likely; the brain not being used to coping with my having a decent day!

TTFNski!

Inchcock – Wednesday 30 February 2019: Another day indoors. Ending with a dazzling Dizzy Dennis visit. Tsk!

Wednesday 30 February 2019

Turkish: Merkredo 30 Februaro 2019

23:30hrs: I woke, and when the brain joined me in wakefulness, I tried my best to recall some of the dreams I’d been having. I was being chased, by Tony Blair and John Prescott amongst other unknown pursuers, along what seemed miles of office corridors. They were snarling, cursing and shouting at me for some reason, also strange to me. Lots more happened that is all confused now, but they ended up throwing me out of a window, that I can recall. No notes had been scribbled down on my pad, shame that.

Around 00:00hrs, I dismounted the £300 second-hand 1978 rusty recliner, hauling my gargantuan, out of shape, pendulous, sagging stomach burdened torso into an upright position. It’s not easy you know! I had to utilise the emergency grey bucket which luckily I had disinfected and left in place near the electric fire as usual. This wee-wee was of the SPSHPLWW (Short-Painfull-Semi-Hose-Pipe-like Wee-wee) variety. I’d no sooner finished that, and the call to the Porcelain Throne arrived. I’m getting regular with these Throne visits lately, ain’t I?

Off to the wet room. The evacuation well reasonably well, no bleeding from the rear end, which I fear was not the case with Little Inchies Fungal Lesion. Another almost involuntary SPSHPLWW (Short-Painfull-Semi-Hose-Pipe-like Wee-wee) had to be taken. In fact, I was so glad it came then, cause had it happened elsewhere, I might not have got to the WC or EGB (Emergency Grey Bucket) in time. Oh dear, not another day like Sunday… Please!

3wed001I checked over the pins. Well, they didn’t look too bad, fluid retention wise at all.

Some of the mish-mashes of spider veins seemed to have faded too?

Although just one new bruise had appeared on the left ankle. Which is the one that let me down twice, yesterday. I wondered if it might because I’d cut the tops of my socks so they wouldn’t be too tight, and the fluid had gone down and caused the problem. You know me, I’m always worried when there is nothing to worry about. Haha!

Cleaned up and off to the kitchen to risk a small mug of tea, and get the Health Checks sorted out.

3wed01a

3wed001aHello, the Sys has gone down, at last, so has the pulse and dare I say it, the weight! Can’t understand why the temperature is down, though? Not worried mind, it has been lower than that before.

I like this new thermometer now I’ve worked out how to use it properly. It gives an almost instant reading from the ear-hole.

3wed12I had another SPSHPLWW and went to get some brekkers. I’ve no idea why, but I fancied trying a pot of the Sweet & 3wed05Sour Noodles that I bought yesterday in Mansfield.

So I did! By gum, it was excellent along with a cup of the Glengettie strong tea.

Of course, this means if 2tue15dI am to get any more of the pots or teabags, this says I’ll have to go to Mansfield to buy them as no one else sells them! And that is if they have some left in stock. Mmm! Tsk!

Only one Sharwoods Noodle left up there on top of the cupboards now. I’m not too keen on Batchelor’s Super-Noodles at all. They can go as raffle prizes for anyone who fancies them. Or I can put them on the table in the lobby for anyone to help themselves to.

wd 0.0.255b I set about updating the Tuesday blog.

7sun12

wd 0.0.255b Most frustrating. Each time I checked my syntax and spelling, the signal would die after, and I had to do it all again on the failed saves. And there were many them! After many SPSHPLWWs, two mugs of tea and more effort than I could cope with, I got the diary finished a sent off. But not until gone 06:30hrs! Nearly Seven Hours It Took me! Oy Vey!

I went on WordPress Reading for a while. Then answered all the comments, I didn’t miss any, I relied on both of them. Hehe!

An SPSHPLWW then I made a mug of Assam tea and took these photographs from the kitchen window.

3wed06

It looked a little frosty out there. When I opened the new unwanted light and view-blocking and needing more cleaning, and there is no way I can reach to do that without moving everything and using the step ladders then hang out of the window itself to reach all the glass to clean them, windows. The dew dripped inside. All down my jammies, the oven glove and onto the electric storage heater. Just thought I’d mention it, like. Huh!

3wed05a1Made a start on doing this post at last.

A good job I kept making notes to refer to earlier.

Mr Fries, Global-Liberty Virgin Media Internet had got a little less slow now. Honestly, it can be done you see!

I took another break, one for another brew because the earlier one had gone cold, and a wee-wee was needed again!

I got the kettle on and ventured out into the bare balcony and took these two photographs of roughly the same bit of sky.

3wed08

As I opened the metal spring clip and opened the left-hand window to take these shots, the dew came in and again my jammies and slippers got soaked in the incoming water. 3wed09Humph! The first was in Auto mode, and the one on the right in Distance mode. Can’t see much difference in them, myself.

As I came back in it looked like fog, but it wasn’t.

I think it was the heat going out of the room that caused the steaming up.

But I went back out and took these two photographs of the workers doing their jobs down outside in this cold weather. Oh, and got the jammies and feet wet again. Haha!

3wed12a

I then got back to updating this post and got as far as here with it, before having another SPSHPLWW.

Then I went on Facebooking.  Then made an Asda (Walmart) order to arrive in the morning, remembering to put milk on the list. Haha!

3wed28Nosh in the oven.

Lamb hotpot and burger, a few chips (fries) and mini tomatoes. Had the last few slices of the milk bread with it.

Excellent flavour-rating of 9.3/10.

Got settled to try and watch some TV. But, Dizzy Dennis visited me, and the wholething became confusion.

TTFN.

Inchcock Today – Thur 10 Jan 2019: Best intentions foiled, Weevils return, missed Social Hour, yet still a decent day for the old man!

2019 01a

Willmott Dixon’s Ian Incharge to the rescue! Hehe!

jan10 2019

Thursday 10th January 2019

Afrikaans: Donderdag 10 Januarie 2019

23:10hrs. I’d had a terrible kip, waking up so often and nodding off again, each time with a new worry, fear or anxiety to ponder over for a short while. I felt a little drained. However, once the mind returned to concentrating on current affairs, it assessed the needs of the day: the Morrison order due twixt 0630 > 0730hrs, remembered that the Clinic has been cancelled, the spare room in desperate need of tidying up, I must call the Surgery to find out when my next blood test is due, the workmen and planners are scheduled to call between 1300>1500hrs to sort the arrangements for the messy dirty disruptive, but necessary job of either the sprinklers or communication systems to be installed etc., I changed into action mode! (Loosely speaking, Hehe!)

I was out of the £300 second-hand recliner in double-quick time, and without any hassle! The toes and feet felt fine now, apart from another change in the appearance of the 4thu001tootsies. They are going the way that Sister Jane’s did again, but not as bad.

WD 0.0.255c The right foot ones this time. Toes curling, I put this down to the side effects of the Furesomide. As I did with the weight increase, the loss of all hair on my stomach, the increased dizzies, the bloated stomach… I shan’t go on. Haha!

WD 0.0.255c I went straight to the spare room and started to painfully box things, and sort out others. An hour later, I stood back – and things didn’t look any better! I gave up and went to do the Health Checks, after an SSPWW (Short-Sharp-Painful-Wee-wee).

4thu01

4thu001aI reckon the results were all okay, weight not included in this decision of course. Off for an SSPWW.

WD 0.0.255c I went to get the medication pots out and found that I had missed taking last nights doses. Schmuck! I took the morning tablets along with last nights untaken Warfarin, Simvastatin, and the Magnesium. Off for an SSPWW.

I got on the computer and started this blog off. But minutes later the call to the Porcelain Throne arrived. A cherry picker evacuation without any bleeding anywhere! While on the Throne, the grey-cells found a few adscititious things for me to worry about. Ranging from the hearing aid batteries stock are down to the last few. Did I order the milk on the Morrison delivery? Why is my right foot now so painful and the left one far less so?

WD 0.0.255c Why did I just see a Weevil, just the one, that was so massive, it struggled to get down the shower drain hole? Haha! I had a spray around all rooms with bug-killer.

Back to the blogging. I got as far as here, off for an SSPWW, made a small mug of tea, and went on to updating yesterdays diary. (In between SSPWWs)

Facebooked for a short while, but realised I had to get the ablutions done before the Morrison food delivery arrives.4thu04

WD 0.0.255c Well, well, well, another new anomaly with the legs! So, now, the bottom half of the legs have drained off a lot of fluid. But the stomach and top half of the pins have gained fluid?

Also, the boils seem to have gone from the rear-end? How can things change so often and so quickly? Am I still asleep and dreaming? Tsk!

4thu05I got the ablutions finished and had some brekkers. Then back on catching up on Facebooking while I awaited the groceries to arrive. I put the TV on the CCTV and watched to see when the Morrison man came.

I thought I may have overdone the ordering when so many bags came. But I realised it was all of the bottles of spring water that took up most of them. I got the things away and put some raffle prizes and nibbles in a bag, along with some Wholemeal bread wraps, that I am sure Jenny will like.

I’d left the CCTV on, and noticed Angela, going out through the foyer, one minute later she returned and pressed the call buttons. I thought I could help, so I shot down to the door to let her in. She had rung hubby Roy to bring down her scarf. (It was cold outside… ♫ Baby, it cold, outside… ♫ Sorry about that, I got carried away, Hehe! I enjoyed a little laugh and natter with Angie and Roy, then back up to the flat.

Later, I went out again, take the prizes and nibbles to the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights, Generaloberstesses Wardens Temporary HQ. WC, Rumourmongering Clinic. Sarcasm & Insult distribution area. Tenants Socialisationalistic plot. Telling Inchcock-off Zone. Crockery and pottery to be stolen from location, and residents porta-cabin. Roy and Mary were sat there, and I got another chinwag in. Out and dropped off the stuff for the Social Hour.

2019 01On my way back to the apartment,  heard my name being called.

It was Willmott Dixon’s Ian Incharge high up on a cherry picker. It was pleasant to be greeted and smiled at with a thumbs-up! I later used this photo as a template for the above page header graphic.

Back in the flat, an SSPWW and made a brew and back on this blog for a bit. Then back to Facebooking. Again, interspersed with the Wee-wees.

I had a go at cleaning up the kitchen, but the bending started of Back-Ache-Brenda and Anne Gyna, so I didn’t get as much done as I would have liked to.

It was Lynne who arrived to talk me through the things for the installation of the sprinklers. They will be calling next Wednesday 16th 09:30 > 11:00hrs. Then on Friday 25th, 08:00 > 1430hrs to fit them, or drill holes. Or the other way around? We had a jolly-good little natter, I thanked her, and off she trotted.

4thu25Feeling weary now. So I got the nosh sorted out.

Imitation pretend-vegetarian meat and tomato sarnies with wholemeal bread thins. The last mini-pork-pie, gherkins, and a bit of strong stilton cheese. Followed by a very naughty Limoncello with squiggly spray cream sprayed on top. I taste-rated this one as a 9.1/10.

4thu06aWent to get one of the made-up bottles of spring water and cordial from the fridge.

WD 0.0.255c I found some dead EIBWBBBs (Evil Ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles) in the bowl in the sink, and one live one on the kitchen floor! Those in the bowl, looked like they had been dead for a good while. How did they get in there? The mysteries of Woodthorpe Court continue! Hehe!

Did the Health Checks, then settled to watch another ‘Frost’ episode on a DVD. After a farcical hour or so; my nodding off, waking, rewinding, nodding-off, waking, rew… you get the picture. Tsk! I fell asleep for an hour or two, only to spring awake thinking it was morning. Realised it was not, but could not get back to sleep again. The old brain went off on one of its panic-fretting-nervous routines, in such a frenzied fashion. Over a few hours, just about anything came in for consideration for a few seconds, related to my life or having nothing to do with me!

This went on until around 00:20hrs when I gave up trying to get back to kip when I heard a buzzing noise? At first, I thought it was in my head or perhaps I had nodded off again and was dreaming. I had to get up to investigate.

Inchcock – Sun 25 Nov 2018: An odd dream. Deceitful, cunning Weevils attack. Didn’t see or speak to a living soul (Apart from some weevils) Hehe!

ZZZZa24a

Sunday 25th November 2018

Maori: Rātapu 25 o Whiringa-ā-Rangi 2018

ZZZZa24ed00:05hrs: I woke, I think in the middle of a dream. (This is odd for me remembering them so well) I was in a skyscraper office of some sort, and people were floating up outside to the window, where I was supposed to be serving them with drinks? A plane was coming towards the building, and I remember seeing it and taking a swig from a bottle, then realising I was drinking orange juice… I called out “Cut”, “I should be drinking alcohol here…” Someone hit me on the head with a clapper-board and told me I was sacked! I shouted to everyone that I was going to throw myself out of the window. The people outside helped me through the window and clapped as I flailed about on my descent to the pavement waiting below, I landed on an old-style American Yellow Cab. Very weird? I made up this graphic from memory as best I could later to go on here.

I had to go to the wet room, for an SSWW (Short, sharp wee-wee).

7Sun01As I fumbled about getting my voluminous, onerous hog-like belly and torso free of the £300 second-hand rickety recliner, and got my footwear on, I realised that the left little toes corn was now worked its way through the new slippers! I can’t understand it, it’s not as if they were cheap from the Poundland Shop, I bought these from the Shoe Zone, paying £4.99 for them, too! And the label said they were Grade A Quality, made in Taiwan. And they are only a few months old. Hehehe! Oh, the wit is flowing now, I do feel a lot better moodwise this morning, I have to say.

Off to the small room and by then I needed to use the Porcelain Throne as well. Another long session and painful with just a tad of haemorrhaging. But, still more comfortable than two days ago. So, no complaints from yours truly.

6Sat07Washed up the dandies, and off on patrol. A right assortment of bugs was collected on my Evil ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles (EIBWBBBs) reconnoitring seek and destroy mission.

As I suspected yesterday, the Weevils seem to have joined forces with some other bugs and counter-attacked overnight. The calculating double-dealing, perfidious, unscrupulous, scheming, deceitful, cunning little beasts! No, I’m not talking about politicians this time, Hahaha!

7Sun02

7Sun03I tended to the Health Checks and took the medications. The bug killer in the picture on the right is not part of my drugs. Hehe!

This A.M. the readings had receded a little again. Up, down, up, up, up, down… Tsk!

Off for another SSWW.

7Sun07aGot on the computer on the 1959 model of the 1963 Hopewells G-Plan cabinet in which the doors no longer open, the drawers stick sometimes, the shelves are rotting, and the polish is rapidly dulling and scratched. Donations appreciated! Hehehe!

On the keyboard with the letters worn off the buttons, and is infested with Weevils, to get the Sad, Saturday post updated and sent off to WordPress. Took me ages to get it finished, mainly due to the visits of Shaking Shaun. Not seen him for a while, I’d hoped he might have moved on, but, no. Humph!

Went on the WP reader section and answered a WP comment.

I then made up an Asda Walmart order for Tuesday. Best day I thought, with me not having an INR Warfarin blood test this week.

Went to make another mug of tea7Sun11. I noticed how bad the floor had gotten with all the Rentokill, Raid and Sanmex bug killer spray that had been used. So, I got down on my knees with a cloth and kitchen towels with the Poundland shop bought Dettol hard-surface cleaner spray and had a good clean up. Dried it off with the towels.

WD54.39.1 This proved to be a trying and painful job for me. Well, I say that; the cleaning was not too stressful at all… It was the trying to get back up on my feet afterwards, that was to prove the most arduous, fatiguing, almost gruelling part of the task. So, my being a good boy and cleaning up, cost more hassle from Anne Gyna, Arthur Itis and Reflux Roger, who all joined in the attack on me with Shaking Shaun. Still, yer don’t like complaining does yer. Haha!

Got the mushroom in the saucepan in water and balsamic vinegar. Made a mug of tea to replace the one that went cold, and had another SSWW. Then made a start on this blog. During which, Shaking Shaun had had enough of punishing me and eased off, bless him.

I tried again to get on with the personal dictionary correcting. More hours of the day consumed!

Blurred Vision Vladimir kicked-off. My own fault maybe, spending too long at the computer screen?

Got the potatoes in the oven.

SSWW and the Health Checks completed.

7Sun38Nosh prepared.

8.8/10 Flavour Rating

Washed the pots and settled in the £300 second-hand recliner to watch some TV, sure that this, as usual, would send me off into the land of Nod.

Oh, no, not this night it didn’t. Over the next five hours, I must have had thirty or more little few-minute drop-offs, the longest lasting for ten minutes or so. But proper sleep? Humph!
