WD 128.0.128N 01:20hrs: Awoken by I know not what, but I felt it must have been a noise of some kind. I had no alternative, but to escape the clutches of the Brother-in-Law Pete damaged while he was flat sitting, fitting new CCTC cameras, and searching for my valuables (He found and took them too!), £300, second-hand, near-dilapidated, gungy-beige recliner, and investigate the source of the noise. Back-Pain Betty was stiff, aching persistently and yet stinging at any touch? As soon as I moved my endomorphic, paunchy body, she started-off! The rear-bottom area was very sore and tender? Arthur Itis was in a bad mood, too! Not a good start to the day!

I had a hobble around, looking for anything that might have fell-over, collapsed, exploded, or shattered. You might’ve not believed it, but yet again I failed to find anything untoward, inappropriate or suspicious, that could show any reason for any noise. Was it caused by a dream or something from outside?

Come to think of it, what is white noise anyway? I looked it up on Mirriam Webster; A: a heterogeneous mixture of sound waves extending over a wide frequency range — compare pink noise. B: a constant background noise, especially one that drowns out other sounds. C a meaningless or distracting commotion, hubbub, or chatter. Oh! I got that wrong then! Tsk!

I tended to a wee-wee, on my walk around. The grey bucket was about a third full. So things must have started moving a bit, at last. The USBUWSS (Ultra-Slow-But-Uncontrollable-Weak-Sprinkly) wee-wee, didn’t do much to add to the contents. I took the bucket to empty it, then tp clean and sanitise it. Then got the handwashing done and hung to start drying.

1Mon02The call to the Porcelain Throne arrived, suddenly and urgently. Off to the wet room. The naufrageous evacuation meant it was more of a messy affair this morning. (I’ll not go into any detail. Hehe!) Suffice to say, a lot of cleaning up had to be done. And, a fair bit of stinging and bleeding took place. The pins were not looking too bad today. Only the Arthur Itis ridden knees looked, warped, felt old, stiff and painful. Hehe!

WD 128.0.128N A good wash and back to the kitchen. Where I was most displeased with myself when I found last night’s medications on the countertop! Oy Vey! Klutz! So, I took them with the morning doses but avoided any duplicating. Which is not easy, as the tiny tablets were confusing. The 30g Codeine, Beta-blockers and Furesomide pills, are all about the same size. But with the last blister-packs, the chemist is using a different supplier for the water tablets. I just see which are which! Pot-luck, really.

I could hear the bombulation sounding again, all around. In every room! A most annoying drone! Other tenants have said they can hear it, too. But without my hearing aids in, even I can have to harken to it this morning? Chrissie, thinks its something from the rooftop, some machinery or other? Most carking!

I went to make another brew of tea, to replace the one that had gone cold. The view from the thick-framed, light & view-blocking, unliked, new kitchen windows, with glass that cannot be reached to clean, was beautiful.

1Mon06

I used the suddenly redevised Lumix camera to take these shots. I may try using it, for taking photographs at the Winwood Court official opening this afternoon.

The phlebotomy nurse is due today. But I can’t find the INR Warfarin test result letter. I had a good hunt around and had to give up.

I made a start on updating the Sunday blog, when out-of-the-blue, a synapse twixt brain and memory came forth! Had I left it on the heater in the hallway and forgot about it? (As has often been the case, Humph!)

1Mon07I went to investigate. And Glory be and hallelujah! The result sheet was on top of some empty jars on the radiator!

WD 128.0.128N I had left them there so I wouldn’t forget to take them with me when I went out… oh, four or five ago now. Another failed plan! But I thought it was a good idea at the time. What a Shmegegge I am! Tsk!

WD 128.0.128N1Mon08 I was somewhat rather pleased with myself, to the point of smugness. When I decided to use the scissors to cut open letter. Tim Price had suggested I keep the scissors in the knife block, cause I do keep losing them. Straight to the box, and got the cutters.

Despite the fingers CIDP affected interference, the bleeding was only slight. Haha! I even returned the domestic shears back the knife-block! Smug-Mode-Increasing!

Finally, I got the updating finished, and the post sent off to WordPress. I visited the WP Reader section next.

Jentacular distractions, and what to have to nibble came to mind.

1Mon11A packet of cheese curls, two mini cakes, and a mug of tea seemed like a fair enough choice. So, that’s what I had.

But, guilt showed its ugly face, so I only ate half of each of the cakes. They just had to the parts where the strawberry jam and imitation cream were situated! Guilty-Mode-Adopted!

I watched some Gordon Ramsay clips on YouTube.

WD 128.0.128N WDA 128.0.128N The got the ablutions were then tackled. I’m afraid with the fingers having a little sensation of touch or contact at the moment, meant I dropped more stuff than ever during this morning’s wash-shave & showering, and afterwards too! I think this list from memory is about right: Toothbrush x3, Toothpaste x1,  Olive oil squirt bottle x1, Aftershave bottle x1, Flannel x2, Soap x2, Showerhead x1, Body spray x1, Sock-Glide x1, Socks x5 (using the gripper, or trying to), and,  the Pro-Pain gel tube x2. During the Porcelain Throne session: The toilet roll x2, Toilet cleaner bottle and bleach bottle x1 each and the nasal Spray x2. Tsk! A record number, I reckon.

I got dressed and made up three bags for the waste chute to go on my way out. And two bags of recyclables and two empty jars for the green bin, to take down to the caretaker’s door on my way out. All prepared, I set off, black bags down the chute, then me down in the lift. To the caretaker’s gate, and jars in the bin left the yellow bags next to the door.

1Mon10I walked along the front of the flats to the bus stop. Gawd, it was a cold wind, and without a hat on! Klutz!

I got to the bus stop, Pennt and Herbert were there. We had a gossip, well Penny and I did. Welsh William arrived and joined in. He noticed I did not have a hat on, and hastily returned to his flat to get one for me to borrow until I buy another one. Now, that was kind of him.

WD 128.0.128N During his absence, Penny said something that triggered my mind and memory. The Blood Nurse is due today! William arrived and handed me the Andy Cap. I thanked him very much and explained that I was going to return to the flat to wait for the nurse. I hope she will arrive early, so I get to the Winwood Court Official Opening ceremony in time. The time-capsule burying and all that, you know!

I got in the apartment, feeling a tad flummoxed with myself. Made a brew, checked the Gorilla taped three-wheeler guide’s lid, it seemed to be holding. Then got this blog updated.

Time went by like a shot, and by 10:35hrs, the phlebotomy nurse had not arrived. I hope that the Sherrington Park Medical Practice staff had not forgotten to arrange for the nurse… Again! Oh dearie me, I’m feeling down!

I thought I’d give them a ring to confirm that they had not made it for Tuesday. I have told them about the 13-week After-Stroke session on Tuesdays starting tomorrow. Yes, I’ll give them a ring, I think. I hope I get a receptionist I can hear on the phone. Back in a bit…

  1. WD 128.0.128N I rang at 10:40hrs: Got a recorded message I could not understand, it might have been about the call being monitored? Then got the engaged signal when put through. I rang off.
  2. WD 128.0.128N I rang at 10:50hrs: Got a different (I think) shorter message, all our lines are busy, followed by something else undecipherable. I rang off.
  3. WD 128.0.128N I rang at 11:05hrs: Phone company Message “The number you called is busy” I’m getting more frustrated and rattled than ever now!
  4. WD 128.0.128N I rang at 11:15hrs: Phone company Message “The number you called is busy” I remain frustrated and rattled!
  5. WD 128.0.128N I rang again at 11:28hrs Phone company Message “The number you called is busy” I remain frustrated and rattled… and pee’d-off is joining.
  6. WD 128.0.128N I rang again at 11:45hrs. Got a recorded message I could not understand, it might have been about the call being monitored? The ringing tone was heard, then: All our lines are busy, followed by something else undecipherable. I rang off.
  7. WD 128.0.128N I rang again at 12:02hrs. Recorded Message, I’ve heard it that often, I am beginning to understand what she’s saying, better now. “No prescriptions over the phone… Call back after 10:00AM??? – Ringing tone… All our lines are currently bust… Grrr!
  8. WD 128.0.128N I rang again at 12:20hrs. ‘The number you have called is busy – please ring back!” Grubblestreaks!
  9. WD 128.0.128N I rang again at 12:32hrs. ‘The number you have called is busy – please ring back!” Double-Grubblestreaks!
  10. WD 128.0.128N I rang again at 12:40hrs. Engaged tone!
  11. WD 128.0.128N I rang again at 12:45hrs. Engaged tone! Gave up!

1Mon12Had a drink of spring water, a wee-wee. Went on YouTube, and noticed the Tim Price owns property in Nottingham, in Goosegate!

Coat and hat on, and made my way to the Winwood Court opening. Hope I don’t miss the nurse! But it looks like, if indeed they have arranged a nurse, she might be coming tomorrow! Stroke Meeting Day! And I cannot get to check with anyone! Shit!

I hobbled to the Opening Ceremony, the place was filled to the rafters! No one to help me out with my problems of course – they will be busy burying a time-capsule, patting themselves on the back, and smiling for the local newspaper cameraman!

WD 128.0.128N I got the camera out, and realised I had taken the old Lumix with me by mistake! Pratt, idiot, Eizel, Tsooris-ridden Eizel! In the well-lit lounge-room, all I could get was dark shadowy photo’s, and my spirits-sank, all these unsolved problems, frustrations, annoyances, irritations, disappointments, resentments, aggravations and bitter-botherations were Coming to a head! And the thought of tomorrow being lost all day to one physio and pep meeting… How do I get the blood tests sorted out? Why am I so angry with things today? I took two terrible pictures and left for home.

1Mon13

I was in a sad state emotionally, even sorry for myself.

As I left, not a soul in sight, I meandered down the link-corridor with the new warden aided Extra-care Winwood flats on each side, I thought I’d try the green open push button on the door out to the seating benches, to see if they had been mended yet, that might cheer me up a bit if they have. They hadn’t!

1Mon14

WD 128.0.128N If the green blob button does not work, and if it doesn’t, of course, I wonder if the Emergency Door Release would? Still, if it doesn’t, in the case of a fire and being trapped, I can always throw myself through the lovely new big windows… or die trying! Hahaha!

You’ll find all my few valuables at Brother-in-Law Pete’s house. Mind you, getting them off him is not going to be an easy job, he’s buried them in his cellar, CCTV and booby-traps all over the place! – I can’t even get em back! The parsimonious, philargyristic phenakism-expert him! But I like him. Hehe!

1Mon14aWD 128.0.128N Already my being in a right depressed and pissed-off, irritated, piqued and downhearted state, it did not help when collecting the three-wheeler guide, and finding that the lid was coming off again.

I do intend to call at the Disabled Equipment Shop near Woodthorpe Drive, to have a look to see if they have any unbroken ones, with brakes that work in stock. But, when I will get the time, is anyone’s guess. I’ll probably get too decrepit to get to the shop, and 95, or dead, by then! Especially if I still can’t get in touch with the Sherringham Park Medical Practice!

1Mon17WD 128.0.128N When I got back in the flat, I’d had a letter delivered, from the Sherringham Park Medical Practice! About my booking the flu jab. Can you believe it, they said: Please ring the Surgery AFTER 11:00hrs to make an appointment! Phwert and botherations! Sarcasm, disparagement and resentment boiled over inside of me!

They added the session is for flu vaccination only, the nurse will not be able to deal with any other treatment at the time of your appointment! I’ll try to get to the chemist and have my Flu shot taken there!

WD 128.0.128N So, I still don’t know if any nurse is calling to take my blood or not, or if she is expected to call tomorrow, on the Stroke Physio Session Day. And would like to inform them of the same (What a dreamer!), and I can’t get through to the surgery anyway to find out, and there is no chance of getting an appointment with the magically none-existent surgery on the phone, and with other things… Oh, shut up your moaning Inchcock!  If I have to go to the nurse for the INR Warfarin blood test, it’s a shame I have to make two appointments on separate days! Not that I can make any at all at the moment! I am in an unwanted and bitterly cantankerous frame of mind, and it’s not doing my health any good. Duodenal Donald is kicking off now! Still, nothing for anyone to worry about… not that they would anyway, whatever happens.

WD 128.0.128N Full of ersatz confidence, yet again, I rang the surgery at 15:00hrs. It went through the recorded waffle again’, the ring tone was heard, then, All out phone lines are busy – please ring back after 11 AM. Treble-Grubblestreaks! This is doing my head in!

Then, the door chimes rang. It was a Patch Manager who wanted to do a Fire condition check. Doing it while nearly evert tenant was at the Time-Capsule ceremony and Official Opening of Winwood Court??? I fear my temperament might have been a little short. But I declined, giving her a brief explanation of my current problems, and she obviously did not listen, cause she told me to ring Angela Gould Again I mention my deafness, and suggested Emails. Which she said she would get Angela to use, to make an appointment… Appointment suddenly, I hated the very sound and thought of that word!

WD 128.0.128N I tried once more to call the Sherrington Park Medical Practice, on 0115 9858552, 402 Mansfield Road Nottingham NG5 2EJ. I thought it was only fair to give the full details, just in case anyone reads this, who might be looking to move their GP in Nottingham, they are warned!

WD 128.0.128N “I rang and got a Phone company Message “The number you called is busy” I gave up trying, for it was time to worry about the 09:30hr APPOINTMENT in the morning, in the City Centre on Chaucer Street, with roughly a 13:00hrs finish. Getting there means getting a have-to-pay bus at around 08:30 hours, which means a none-shower ablution session, which is not good. After the Strokeability session, and if I’m not too tired or dead by then, I’ll try to get some shopping in, body permitting.

Then, to add insult to injury…

Vir 128.0.128

I am being tested further than I can cope with today! My limit is close to being reached. I decided to make a brew of tea and wait to see if it comes back on-line.

1Mon15To remind me of my depression and frustration with life, even the sky looked gloomy!

Well-past my usual head-down time and no fodder sleep or hope seemed in the offing. Grumph!

The internet had come back on when I got back to the computer. I felt I had to continue with updating of this blog, as I cannot imagine me having much time to do a lot on it tomorrow.

1Mon19Rattily, I gave up after a short while. And got some fodder organised, just chips, the last of the bacon, and the last tomatoes, thrown on a plate, with the last few slices of Milk Roll bread and some beetroot, Josie’s donated to me lemon dessert, and some bacon flavoured Asda (Walmart) chips. As annoyed and angst as I was with things, I enjoyed this meal. A flavour rating of 9/10!

1Mon18Washed the pots, and retook another snap of the sky. It still looked threatening.

I got the handwashing done and hung to dry.

I got settled in the rickety recliner and put the TV on… I soon fell asleep and stayed like that for around six-hours uninterrupted (not a single wee-wee!) dream and nightmare filled) hours.

Woke up, panicking about getting things sorted for the first After-Stroke Session.

Inchcockski Today. Wednesday 14th August 2019: Got out to town, even though it was precipitating on me. Haha!

Enzo Ferrari past-away this day, in 1988

I’d been awake since 19:00hrs last night, initially thinking I have overslept and it was 07:00hrs in the morning. I’d been working for hours on doing some graphics for the blog headers and thoughts, when, well, fancy that, and blow me down…

Vir7 200

Then things got more serious…

Vir7 200Stop

Twenty minutes later…

Vir7 200Stop

My gustatory desires rose up, and I had two Club biscuits and three sweeties!

After much aggravation, exacerbation, frustration, and concentrated augmentation, it came back on, although it was still slow. It was getting me more and more angry with Liberty-Global, with only silent swearing and cursing, I might add! Smug-Mode -Engaged!

I pressed on with the Tuesday Diary, finished it and sent it to WordPress.

The first wee-wee since waking up, approximately five hours ago, was a rattling ‘I thought it would be a never ender’. An ELWP (Extremely-Long-Weak-Powerless) wee-wee that meant the EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-Wee Bucket) needed emptying afterwards. Humph! One of the longest ever, I think it was.

WD 200.0.0 The ablutions were done tackled. Which was a mistake, a bad one, too! I completely forgot all about how early it was. So, if any of my neighbours are reading this, and the noise of the shower bothered you, I humbly apologise to you! I just didn’t realise until after, when I was having the daily confrontation with the sock-glide! Shame-Mode-Engaged!

WD 200.0.0A The accifauxpas and injuries were all minor ones; Only one tiny-weeny cut shaving. Many dropsies, including the toothpaste tube, the toothbrush (twice), soap, shaving foam, flannel (twice), the ear spray can, and the nail-cutters.No dizzies and no falls! (Head shakes cockily from side to side!)

The Sock-Glide didn’t cause any real hassle pain-wise, but there may a bruise or two to come up on the hand and leg. Hehehe!

3Wed01gIt was drizzling outside. I took a shot from the balcony side window. That’s one of those with a finger masticating already going rusty metal spring opening devices, that need pushing and pulling at the same time to open the window. Which regularly involves injury, finger-gouging, bruise-making and bleeding profusely. But not today.

3Wed01iNo thanks to the potentially lethal or deadly to Warfarin-takers opening; More to the fingers and hands not playing up and shaking or making the electric-like jumps.

I fearlessly closed the window, and as it misted up, I took another shot from inside. Hehe!

Back to starting this blog going on the 3Wed01Jcomputer. Another round of odd noises from above?

The Morrison delivery arrived. The chap dropped the bags just inside the door for me, I fetched the return carriers and thanked him. I moved the bags into the kitchen. Then I set about sorting, stacking and cramming the fresh food in the fridge and freezer.

3Wed01L Then got the black bags sorted and taken to the chute. Somehow or other I got it stored away. It looks like I overdid it again with the supplies? Shame-Mode-Engaged! And I plan to go to town today, to try and get some photographs, and Sherbert Saucers and Pork Farm Pies from the Poundland Store, if they have any in stock. I must resist any of the specials on offer! (We’ll see!)

3Wed01QI got the nibbles in the three-wheeler and set out to go through the new walkway, to the Hauptbereitschaftsleiteress Wardens new holding-cells and interrogation room.

WD 200.0.0 The passageway trip into the Winwood Court area, started the mind wandering.

  • I must take care not to catch the three-wheeler on the new flooring. Haha!
  • I must take care not to catch the electric wires sticking through the wall near the swipe entry door.
  • When some decent weather arrives, I’d love to get out in the back area and have a chinwag hopefully and a mug of tea!
  • The new flats, although I haven’t looked at them yet, the surrounding areas look very comfortable.

I spotted a leaflet in the foyer area, inviting anyone who wants to, can come along to see the official opening of the Winwood Court flats. It is on Monday 2nd September at 14:00hrs. I know I have a Hospital appointment on that day, but cannot recall for what time. Tsk!

The Obersturmbannfhreress Wardens, Deana and Julie were in the holding-cells when I arrived. I dropped off the nibbles that I couldn’t deliver yesterday and had a quick giggle and laugh. I left via the Windwood foyer door. And took some pictures as I did so.

I returned to Woodthorpe Court along Chestnut Way, and Jenny & Frank were waiting for a taxi in the foyer – they were in the lobby, not the cab! Haha! I remembered their treats up in the flat and shot up and fetched them. When I returned, Gaynor and Mo had joined the others. So, I handed out some nibbles and gave Jen and Frank their treats, while listening to the gossiping and general contentment shown, with a few moans thrown in. Hahaha!

3Wed05To the bus stop, where a gang of residents had massed to wait for a bus. The journey to town was spent, deep in my crossword book. And a jolly successful session it was, too!

I dropped off the bus at the terminus on Queen Street. Fairly wet, I made my way down and over to the Poundland shop. Taking some shots of the city centre en route.

3Wed05a1But not many, I was getting soaked. Hehe!

I got in the Poundland store, and went crazy-potty on a spending spree! Oy Vay! What a fool! I ended up spending a lot of money, on treats and fancies! Humph!

When I got to the self-serve tills, the kind lady saw me struggling again, and did the job for me, including helping fill the pathetically small bag on the trolley, and filling the heavy-duty carrier bag, too!

IMG_1399I thanked the lady earnestly. And came out with two bags containing: Two x6 mini Twiglets, New varieties of Kit Kat for the social nibbles and treats, Two Pork Farm pork pies, Salt and vinegar Poptastic crisps, Lavendar Dettol disinfectant (4), and four bags of Payne’s misshaped chocolate almonds and brazils! Oh, dearie me!

3Wed10aA slight Ashamed-of-myself mode came over me!

I took a walk around the slab square. It looked a terrible hodge-podge of customer-free rides, wooden divider panels and a gloomy depression hung over the place.  Although the Nottinghamians around, did not seem their usual grim, scowling faces on?

IMG_1398I took a few pictures. This one, of Wheeler Gate when I came out of the shop, shows the fantastic windows designed by Fothergill Watson.

Unfortunately, there were so many shops up for rent, letting or sale! This applied to all the streets in town. Everyone had a business that had collapsed!

IMG_1400I walked through the Exchange Aracade under the Council House, on my hobble, and this was possibly the saddest shot of them all. Not a single customer in view!

I went down Long Row, and had a memory blast-session, from way back in the sixties. When Burtons of Smithy Row occupied the whole ground floor inside the arcade. They were IMG_1401bought out by Fine Fair, who were bought out later my Asda, who was bought out then, by Walmart! The wonderful smells from their fish department, fresh cakes, delicatessen, bakery, etc., still come back to me!

Memories of Suzanne came flooding back too.

No more photographs were taken here. I was nervous about the camera getting too wet and damaged.

Although, I did get under cover of some abandoned offices, to take these shots below, of the waste bin on Queen Street.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

A quick ‘Hello how are you’ with some tenants, waiting to get on the bus, as I got off of the bus on Chestnut Way, and back to the Woodthorpe Court. I went back through the cut-through from inside Winwood Court, to avoid the rain. I went up in the elevator, talking with Chrissie and a builder chap.

I got inside, and sudden fatigue overcame me again. But I was not feeling down at all with it. Got the fodder put away. Did the handwashing and hung it to dry. Stripped ready for my head-down time, and got the nosh prepared.

3Wed12 (2)No hard work about this today. No cooking at all needed. I made some milk roll bread tomato sarnies and salted them. The BBQ ready-cooked free-range chicken legs, raw shelled garden peas, gherkins and some sliced apple. A side dish of sorts was the Poptastic Salt & vinegar flavoured crisps. And a naughty but delightfully tasty Limoncello dessert! The chicken legs were not too good tastewise, but everything else was great. Taste Rating; 6.5/10 given. Note to self: Do Not buy any Lidl cooked chicken again!

3Wed12Did the washing up, and heard some noise from the hallway. Went to investigate. A letter from Boot’s Opticians had arrived. I threw it in the bin, without opening it. When Boots closed their branch I used on Friar Lane, they told me to go to either Victoria Centre or Canal Street branches. So, I went to the Victoria Mall, and it was on the upper floor. I waited patiently for a customer service person to appear, and she approached me. She was seemingly out of breath and told me to pick a frame over there, she pointed to them, adding I will find someone to tend to you. Twenty minutes later, no one had appeared. So, I left. I went to AC Allen in Sherwood, to get a test and my new glasses from him. Very satisfied with the spectacles, price and the service.

I got settled to watch a Rumpole of the Baily episode on the TV. But didn’t get to the end of it, I fell asleep during the first commercial break. Waking up some four hours later.

3Wed12aWD 200.0.0 Again, like yesterday, thinking it was morning! But this time soon realised it was not!

I put the kettle on and went out on the balcony to have a gander. Oh dear! Another ambulance calling! I hope it is not Roy or Frank, they have both been unwell recently. Fingers crossed!

3Wed12aaI visited the Porcelain Throne. Another painful but messy evacuations.

The stubbed toe was looking a little better now. But it seemed to be hurting, or stinging more than ever?

I got the handwashing onto the upright airer.

Made the tea, and got a packet of cheese curls to nibble, and settled down in the embarrassing grotty second-hand, c1968 recliner again. But I nodded-off again before I could drink the tea.

Waking once more an hour or so later, but feeling so refreshed, it was unbelievable?

3Wed12bI got up for a wee-wee, back again to the RPDD (Reluctant-Painful-Drip-Drip) mode of wee-wee.

I went to make another mug of tea, and get it drunk this time. Hehe!

I took this photograph of the evening sky. It is not as awe-inspiring as many other shots shown on the web, but it is beautiful to me.

I got the computer started to update this diary. I got it finished, just before midnight.

Yawn quiescently!

TTFNski.

Inchcockski – Tues 13 Aug 19: A decent little hobble photographicalisationing today. Didn’t do the stubbed-toe much good though. Hahaha!

The policeman is the rarest!

Tuesday 13th August 2019

Icelandic: Þriðjudaginn 13. ágúst 2019

2Tue01WD 0.0.0. 1:10hrs: The stubbed middle toe was the reason for little sleep last night. So tender, anything that comes close to touching it, hurts! Haha!

I gave up any idea of trying to get back to slumberland. The extraction of the cumbersome wobbly body from the £300 second-hand, c1968, unappealingly-dour, beige-coloured, currently on strike, rickety, recliner, was done exceptionally obnixely, and with care. I wanted to avoid any Accifauxpas and or further toe-stubbing at all costs.

The mind was still in the same state as it was last night, obnubilated and worry-filled. A wee-wee was taken in the used-just-once overnight, EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-Wee Bucket), and it was of the LRWS (Long-Reluctant-Weak-Sprinkly) variety. The hand-washing was hung up to dry. I was taking great care as I moved about, to avoid any toe-stubbings! I took the medications with spring water. No health checks were done.

2Tue03

It looks like a new sphygmomanometer and thermometer will be needed. Made brew of Yorkshire Tea. The flavour of the tea has not been up to par over the last few days. Perhaps it is with the upgrading of the water system? Or, of course, it could be my innards or taste-buds?

WD 0.0.0. Off to use the 2Tue02Porcelain Throne. What an ultra-messy affair! Things had softened a lot, yet still, the pain in passing remains? The hand was starting to shake a little, hence the terrible photo of the bruised middle toe. I think the toe next to the big one must have got a stubbing along with the centre toe?

I cleaned things and myself up, and returned to the kitchen to collect the tea, took it carefully with me to the front-junk-office-bedroom, and started the computer.

I updated the Monday post and got it sent off. The fingers and hands were not playing up much at all? But I was concerned, that with the odd tremble in the right leg, it might burst forth into a full-blown Neuropathic Schuhplattler routine. All was well, though, up to now. I dreaded to think of the pain from the stubbed toe if the limb did start dancing. Oy Vey! It is a rarity for shaking, stomping and dance routine to activate, though. I think it has only done it around ten-times since the stroke in total. So, I must stop fretting!

WD 0.0.0. I tried adding some photographs to the Pinterest site, but it never told me of any problems, the photos just didn’t appear? The Liberty-Global Virgin Media box had its lights flashing and the occasional slowing down. But I don’t know why this problem persisted. I gave up with trying to upload in the end.

Made a start on this post. Got as far as here, and had another LRWS wee-wee. Washed the hands and made another mug of tea, determined to drink this one! Huh! I took care not to stub anything when moving around. But the EQ told me, it would come again, the moment I lost concentration. Damned EQ!

Got the ablutions done. A good session, no toe-stubbing, (that had been done earlier, Tsk!) I wore the middle-size bamboo socks, to avoid the daily morning battle with the sock-glide, I can usually manage to get this pair on without the torture-glide farce. No shower taken, I had a stand-up wash this morning, being as I was going out early, to avoid the noise. The dropsies were increased a bit, mind; Twice the soap went, once with a little venom and flew off into the shower via the wall! The toothpaste tube, the razor, and the ear-sprayer also abscondicated. Hey-ho!

It was time to use the waste chute then, so I put the bags down and returned to get the three-wheeler and empty jars to take down with me. The original plans for me to go to Asda (Walmart) in Arnold, were waylaid on my way down in the elevator. I decided to go to the Continental shop in Sherwood, and the Lidl store in Carrington, thus allowing myself a decent hobble, before the weather turns nasty, if it does as they say it will, starting tomorrow! I just can’t recall which shop I bought the yoghourt covered rice cakes from. But I think it was from the Ozan store. High winds and showers warning on the radio (Not the wind and rain, I mean the message! Hahaha!)

2Tue03I placed the jar in the recycle bin on the way out. I threw a good morning to the caretaker, Steve, I think, but I didn’t hear what was offered in reply.

I took a half-decent picture of Winwood Heights from Chestnut Way, near to the Winchester Court Flats. And made my along to Winchester Street.

2Tue04WD 0.0.0. I was most impressed with workmen’s ingenuity in creating a genuine piece of Nottinghamian Street Art near the corner of the roads, using the signs and broken barriers that they had been removing. The subtle originality in doing this; are they have covered up the fractured sewer access hole at the same time! Very impressive, lads!

2Tue05WD 0.0.0. The mystery rusty white Mercedes van was still their, along with several other vehicles, parked right on the pedestrian’s footpath.

So I had to walk down the middle of the road again! I still think it just might be a stolen van that has been dumped. It’s been there for about three weeks, I guess.

I was once again, in an unaccountably, unwonted decent frame of mind. Found myself singing some Elvis and Cliff Richard 1960’s hit songs as I plodded down the hill. Which took me back and the memories flooded into my grey cells. Good and bad ones!

2Tue06WD 0.0.0.I was nearly on Mansfield Road realising I had got that far yet (I hope that makes sense?).

A little more Nottinghamiam Street Art on the corner of Dornoch Avenue. Whoever had hit the post, had a left a pretty display of glass, with some red light plastics scattered around. Hehehe!

2Tue07I went into the Ozan International Food Centre store. I could not find any of the yoghourts covered rice cakes, so I asked the young, tall, thick, appealing, attractive, highly desirous lady if they sold them. But they didn’t. So, maybe it must be Lidl then?

Or was it Asda, after all? Tsk!

2Tue15I bought some cakes and lemon baguettes for Jenny, Deana, Julie and Josie for a treat.

I can drop them off on the way home for them.

The weather was perfect for a hobble, and I took a really steady one, along Mansfield Road and into Carrington.

2Tue08I was still taking extra-care because of the stubbed-toe, and not wanting to trap it again on the three-wheeler trolley wheels!

Better safe than sorry. The pain from the toe got no worse, despite all the limping along I did. I was getting a bit of a decent pace going as well.

2Tue09WD 0.0.0. The same ignorant, supercilious, self-centred, arrogant shit-head, who did it on yesterday, came from behind and swerved around me. Making me jump. The bombastic, nasty, superior acting, uncaring, maleficent, pernicious, sanguinary, truculent, slob, carried on doing the same to other people as he cycled on into the distance. But it didn’t bother me! Humph!

2Tue23Over the hill and down to Carrington. Where I was greatly cheered when I met Big John outside the laundry on Mansfield Road. We had a great chinwag. He said he’d come to see me soon, at the flat.

So, I took my newly inflated ego to the Lidl Store. Which might explain why I bought so much stuff!

Nibbles for the Social Hour, beef pasties, sweets, Japanese rice snacks, Bavarian ham. To along with the cakes I got from the Continental shop. I paid up and left to catch a bus back up to Sherwood. Oh, I found the milk chocolate and yoghourt covered rice cakes in Lidl. Not cheap, but so delightful tasting!

2Tue18On the bus, I found the self-serve till receipt had an extra bt on it, for a copy of the Sun newspaper? Mmm!

I was soon back in Sherwood and alighting the bus. I had a walk around window shopping at first, as there was plenty of time before the L9 bus was due to arrive. There were two chaps sat on a bench. Both profoundly involved in their mobile phones. The younger one started his e-cigarette going. The smoke encouraged the older gentleman to say something to him, swear at him (I heard that, a four-letter word!), and turn his back to him Hahaha!

2Tue11

I called into the Wilko store and bought a bottle of their fabric freshener with the Y-Lang scent, that I am so fond of. They did not have saucepans in stock!

I called in two of the charity shops, to see if they had any small saucepans with lids. But they hadn’t got any either.

Up to the bus stop. No fellow tenants in the shelter. When the bus arrived, there was only one who I knew to say hello to, was on the vehicle?

Back at the complex, only five residents were waiting for the bus, and they all needed the outward bound L9. I chatted to a couple of Winchesteronaian’s, then made my way to the new Obersturmbannführeresses Office in Winwood Centre, to hand over their nibbles. But the holding-cell was locked up. So, I decided to use the new walk-through corridor back to the Woodthorpe Court.

Up to the apartment, and called at Josie’s to hand her the treats. I got in the flat and got some potatoes simmering to use to make the cheesies later for the nosh.

2Tue19No demand for any wee-weeing. Which was worrying!

A letter and form from the local constabulary had been posted through the door.

I made a brew, then got the updating of this blog started.

2Tue20It was slow going, and a bit of a grind is today’s updating.

So I went out on the balcony, to take some photographs, while the sun was out. I took the first one, through the bottom half of the glass on the terrace. I didn’t risk life, limb and losing any more chunks of a finger on the metal spring clip that need pushing and pulling at the 2Tue21same time to open the end window.

I went to the kitchen next, and opened a window, one of the thick-framed, light and view-blocking ones, with the glass that cannot be reached safely for cleaning; and took this zoomed-in photograph. It really looks like another country.

2Tue24Got the nosh prepared. Bit of a feast this time. The cheesy potatoes were made with a drop of vinegar, and onion salt, using Leicester Red cheese. At least today, I got it all enjoyed and eaten. A worthy 7/10 for Flavour Rating. I watched Rumpole of the Bailey on TV, while I was dealing with the coenaculous activities (eating).

The clearing and cleaning up afterwards was an arduous task. The potato mix didn’t have any butter in it today, and the spoons and forks used to do the mixing and mashing were unbelievably sticky and hard to remove! Tsk!

2Tue22I got the handwashing done and hung to dry, and went for a wee-wee.

WD 0.0.0. The super-stubbed middle left toe’s bruising/bleeding seemed to be going a two-tone purple shade. Made an interesting change. Hehe!

I got the medications out ready for taking later, into the £30 second-hand recliner, and it appears, swiftly fell asleep!

07:30hrs: When I awoke with a bit of a jump, it was already light, and the brain panicked, and the body almost of its own accord, extracted itself from the rickety recliner, and the grey bucket was utilised for a remarkably forceful ELPSOA (Extra-Long-Powerful-Spraying-Out-Allover) wee-wee.

Feeling unexpectedly tired and heavy-eye-lidded, I went to make a brew and take the morning medications. During which, I noticed last nights doses in their pot, and for a few seconds, confusion reigned.

WD 0.0.0. Ah, things fell into place then! It was not 07:30hrs, but 19:30hrs! I had not overslept. I had only been asleep for an hour! No wonder I was feeling so tired! What a Meshugener!

I took the evening pills, got a home-made drink of orange and spring water, and got the computer on, to update this blog.

Virg8 black

Turned things off then back on. No good! Tried the reset button, no luck! Turned everything off and back on again, and Mr Fries Liberty-Global Internet came back on.

Ten-minutes or so later…

Virg8 black

Is there no authority that can bring these expensive, lying, untouchable, money and wealth greedy, con-men to book, for their lies, false claims and lack of decency and morality? No, I suppose not! If there were one, people like Fries,  Jan du Plessis, BT Internet, Trista Harrison, Talk-Talk etc. would probably have wangled or bribed their way onto the board of any regulators as well. Gnash!

Things, Fries-wise restarted of its own accord, but it was so slow!

I had run out of templates, so set about making some up in advance. Went on CorelDrawing first. To make the graphics.

Then back to WordPress, to get the blog templates set up for a couple of days.

Midnight approaches, TTFNski!

Hindi: शनिवार 10 अगस्त 2019

02:30hrs: I bestirred into semi-life, sure I had been dreaming all through the night! What I was dreaming of is a mystery. But I think I was making myself nervous with whatever the nightmare was about. For, although it felt nippy all around me, I was pouring out sweat like never before. The lingering pong with it wasn’t very nice, either.

Amazingly, there were no calls for a wee-wee or the Porcelain Throne? Most uncharacteristic! The mind was a tad reluctant to activate at first, but when it did, the hateful stampede of unwanted worries, fears, guilty-conscience driven penitancy invaded my peace of mind.

wd 0.0.128 WD 0.0.128A Rising from the £300, flea-bitten, grungy beige-coloured, second-hand, c1968 recliner, I pushed over the spring water bottle. Bent to pick it up and knocked the walking stick over, then as I retrieved the stick, the back went, and I slid down and hit my head on the chair arm, right where I banged it on the cupboard door yesterday. Then stubbed my toe against the Ottoman! I recall thinking, well, that’s got a few Whoopsiedangleplops out of the way in a short time – As I made my way to the kitchen, I kicked over the EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-Wee Bucket)! Panic set in, “I’d spilt urine all over the carpet, Argh!” I grabbed a kitchen roll nearby, and got down on my knees and began to wipe around… but there were no wet or damp patches? I soon worked out the confusing dilemma, though. The bucket was empty in the first place! I’d not used it all night! I did feel a twit! I got myself semi-perpendicular again, and hobbled to the kitchen, with a headache, but in a reasonably good frame of mind, all considered.

What an unforgettable, extraordinary awakening that was!

I got the medications taken, and the health checks were done. Moved the handwashing onto the airer to continue the drying process.

Then I tackled the updating of the Friday blog. Starting so late didn’t help, but the hands and fingers were being kind to me. I was (unfathomably) full of determination after finishing the post and sending it off! Made a brew of tea, and went on the WordPress Reader on an excellent session of reading others blogs.

Then, I made a new post of the photographs I took in town yesterday and posted it off.

A pictorial plod around the Slab

It should go with the old Old Slab Square post I did some years ago. A sort of saddish mini update. Hehe!

Ye Olde Walk around Nottingham Slab Square

6Sat01I got in the wet room and had a refreshing wash. The legs seem to be mutating again, and going back into a knobbly, misshaped blotchy sort of mode? Hehe!

They have definitely acquired different sizes and dimensions once more. A tinge of reddishness seemed to be returning this morning as well.

6Sat02The hands and arms had much more colour to them as well.

When I returned to the computer, Liberty-Global Virgin Media Internet, seemed to be going like the clappers! Well, not so slow as usual, anyway.

I made up a Morrison food order for next week. Then made another brew, to replace the one I’d left to brew-well in the kitchen and forgotten all about. Tsk!

Made a start on this blog.

My allotriophagy came to the fore when I fancied a BBQ pot noodle for breakfast! So, I had one!

WD 0.0.128A I was getting the very late indeed breakfast made, and the worst Dizzy Dennis attack ever came over me! It took me ages to regain balance and a clearish head again. Still, I got the pot noodle eaten and enjoyed. But, I sensed that things were not finished yet in the dizzy-stakes.

I spent hours on CorelDrawing, making up graphics to store until later.

6Sat29WD 0.0.128A An early desire for the meal and I made up this mishmash and got it served up. Asparagus, Urgh! Beetroot Ball-bearing-hard! Fresh garden peas, Gorgeous! Tomatoes, Bitter! Pork Pie slices Tasty enough! Gherkins Rock hard! Sliced apple, Okay and McCains low fat oven chips, Very acceptable! A Lemon mousse

Flavour rating was just a 5/10. But, being as I was suddenly not feeling 100%, this might have caused the taste-buds to play up. Even the mug of Glengettie tea afterwards, tasted different, off somehow?

I washed and stripped off, well, I put on some fresh PPs, and settled in the £300, c1968, horrendously-beige-coloured, grotty, second-hand recliner. With moments, I was up and off to the Porcelain Throne.

WD 0.0.128A Where I remained for ages and along time, after getting a visit from Dizzy Dennis while on the Throne. It’s hard to explain really, I’ve never had such a thing happen before, at least I can’t remember it if I had. It was as if the brain had given up, and settled into a sort of ‘sleep-mode’, and felt as if there was a definite chance I may fall off of the Porcelain. This lingered, and went on for ages.

When I managed to get up and wash things, I decided to do the hand-washing. Washed, rinsed and onto the hanger to dry. (The clothes, not me. Haha!)

Got down in the recliner, the head still spinning. And I assume, fell asleep. But no notes found on the pad, or memories to call on until I woke up.

Thank heavens, without the attentions of Dizzy Dennis!

Thursday 8th August 2019

Indonesian: Kamis 8 Agustus 2019

23:25hrs: I woke in the specific knowledge that something was going to go wrong. The EQ was positive of this!  I was calm about this, for it was a definite happening and warning from the EQ, so nothing could change things. I just had to try and stay relaxed when it arrives.

I disentangled my short, plump body with its skinny quivering limbs, from the £300, second-hand, c1968, hideous grotty, beige-coloured, rickety, sometimes working, recliner. I utilised the EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-Wee Bucket). The very rare for me, BOBSL (Blasting-Out-But-Short-Lived) wee-wee, was a bit of a shock at first, but painless.

WD 153.51.0b WDA 153.51.102 I hobbled off to the kitchen to put the kettle on primarily – but my plans had to take a back-seat. The overflow pipe from above I think, was dripping into the kitchen sink. I don’t know what water it is, but it has stained the metal sink! I’ll have to mention this to Generalfeldmarschalless Warden and part-time Financial Advisor Deana, later. If I can get into their new Kamp Commanders offices in Winwood Court.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Ah, well, nowt to be done about it now. So, I cleaned things up, the staining was too deep to get cleaned off, Huh! I got the kettle on and rinsed-out the handwashing and got them hanging to dry.

4Thu05WD 153.51.0b I started to do the health checks. The sphygmomanometer took me three tries to get it to work, but the results were just fine! Sys 149, Dia 72, and the pulse showed 81. But the problem was the thermometer. It would not show me what the temperature reading was, just ‘Low’? Then after giving up on it…

WDA 153.51.102 The ear spray 4Thu05asqueezer, flew out of the hand as the arm did a peripheral neuralgic inspired, imitation orchestra-conducting routine! It travelled through the air and hit the window, fell downwards and drained itself of all the contents, all over the kitchen towel it dropped down the cardboard tube of. At the same time, the back of the hand gave the cupboard one hell a vicious, back-handed upper-cut! That made me flinch a bit! Haha!

As I was taking the medications, the need for the Porcelain Throne made itself known. So, off of the wet room. This session was more like I like them to be! Far shorter, and less painful than they have been in ages. Almost, a pleasure,

WD 153.51.0b Then I started to update the Wednesday blog a last, and the finger-ends went numb on me. Not any twitching, just a loss of sensitivity to touch again. Which was making typing more challenging to get right! Many errors and far too much correctionalisationing needed!

WD 153.51.0b Then, just to pee me off, even more…

Vig 153.51.120

I pressed on as best I could with the fingers, (well, it’d be impossible without them, wouldn’t it. Hahaha!) with the updating. Which took me ages to complete, but I got there. Posted off to WordPress. I made some more page top graphics and thoughts, then made a start on this post.

4Thu001WD 153.51.0b I made a brew and noticed the red moon as I did so. For some reason, when I took this picture of Earth’s only natural satellite, it showed up as white? Could this have been due to red-eye correction? I don’t even know if there is an option on the Canon. Mind you, I can’t find out how to get to cut down the lens timing, or make it store smaller pictures. Despite my fumbling around and thinking I had opted for small storage size, it continues to drain the computer memory with massive ones. Tsk! Tim in New Mexico told me how to do these things, but finding out where to change them well, its a challenge for a thicko like me!

I went on the WordPress Reader, and had a read and look at others work. Some great stuff enjoyed and liked.

I just had to try and catch up on Facebook, I’m so far behind. Spent two hours getting it done! Swagger Mode Adopted!

4Thu06WDA 153.51.102 Off to get the ablutions sorted out. A couple of little nicks, shaving. A new bruise from the battle with the sock-glide. And lastly, as I was coming out of the wet room, I went back in to get the wrist alarm, and gave myself a rather painful toe-stubbing, on the metal legs of the shower chair! I believe I may have something like; Oh, blow it! The pins were okay. I made up the black bags and took them with me and dropped them down the waste 4Thu06chute. Caught a lift down to the foyer. Not a soul about. Outside, there was a bit of wind blowing up, but no cold with it at all, and no signs of rain in the air.

I strolled delicately along, slowly with the three-wheeler, and towards the end of the complex, the yellow no-parking lines, which cannot be in force yet, were buried by parked vehicles.

4Thu18

How the bus can get through, beats me. On Winchester Street Hill at the top, the Mercedes van was still parked in the same spot on the pavement. Again I had to go on the road to get by it. I took a photo that shows the registration number. Thinking if I see a policeman in Sherwood, I can tell him, so he or she can check to see if it had been stolen.

What the heck am I thinking of – ‘See a Policeman in Sherwood?’ Not a cat in hells chance! What an Eizel, and alter cocker, I am!

I made my merrily, contentedly and singing to myself, down the hill, occasionally nearly losing control of the three-wheeler guide. Hehe! At the junction of Mansfield, I took snap to the left, then to the right. I had planned to take some pictures of the whole row of shops, but the shakes forced me to take four tries before I got these two that were unblurred enough to use!

4Thu19

There were very few shoppers about. Which is understandable, with the selection of pathetic shops on offer to tempt anyone.

I called into the Co-op and remembered to get a packet of demerara sugar. They had some fresh pod peas that looked in decent shape, so I got a pack of them too. Then hobbled up the hill, and into Wilko’s store.  I was looking for some bleach, they only had scented, so I got a lemon one. My search for a small saucepan with a lid failed as well! I did get a packet of yoghourt covered peanuts, though.

4Thu08eAs I came out of the shop, I took a picture of the Sherwoodanian pedestrians crossing the pelican lights against the red lights. It took me several tries to get a picture decent enough that I could use. Such was the hand-shaking at that moment.

I was putting the camera back in the pocket, and a Nottinghamian Pavement Cyclist was 4Thu21acoming towards me, up the hill. I managed to get a viewable shot of him on my second try. I nearly missed the gentleman. He was middle-aged, but by gum, he was fit enough to get a moved on, even going up the incline, bless him. Then another Herbert came down the hill!

It was eerie, the lack of people about for a Thursday morning. I reckon that Sherwood, as a shopping centre, is dying a death!

4Thu10I worked it out, that if I caught the bus at this stop, I’d have to pay £2.20 for the three or four stops lift up to the flats. I cunningly walked down the hill and into Winchester Street and caught the bus at the second stop.

Where it arrived at 09:32hrs, hence I could use my free bus pass! Oh, I am a tight-wad! Hahaha!

I was soon driven the three stops back to the flats.

4Thu11Dropped off the bus, and had a few words with man residents, Mo, Penny, Nydia, and Wilf, amongst them.

I took a phot of Winwood and Winchester Courts as I made my way home to my beloved Woodthorpe Court. As I got inside, a lady who I cannot for the love of me remember her name opened the door for me as I approached. Nice lady and her hubby a grand chap too. We had a chinwag, laugh and a nibble. She told me the walkthrough to the Winwood complex is now open. I wished her all the bestest and made my way to the elevators. I took three shots of the new empty of people cut-through.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

I noticed the toe-stubbing qualities of the pins sticking up from the counter barrier in the floor. Obviously, it isn’t finished yet. I hope Hehe!

I put the fodder away and got the oven warming up.

4Thu21Updated this diary until the meal was ready, then served it up.

The yellow plum tomato was sliced, and tasty a bit meaty, not bad at all. The bacon fries were grand! Beetroot was superb. The fresh garden peas, excellent!   Mini pork & pickle pie, heavenly! The baguettes were putrid! The lemon mousse, passable. Overall taste rating, 8.8/10.

While digging into the feast, Stroke Unit Support nurse Jenny rang and made a new appointment for Stroke Physio. Next Thursday at 10:00hrs. I put this on the calendar.

WD 153.51.0b 04:00hrs, I was just getting settled after watching Rumpole of the Baily, and falling asleep throughout and missing the ending (Huh!)  Then, loud clattering noises almost made me panic. Had something collapsed? A search around the flat, found no reasons or causes, and things looked as they were before? I settled again, but not in mind, I was worried a tad in case the noise hab emanated from within the apartment. It sounded very close? Surprisingly, I managed to nod-off!

WD 153.51.0b 04:40ish, the noises came again and woke me. Another look around, but found no cause? It might have been someone throwing loose stuff down the waste chute, I thought. But no real reason or any proof, of course. It could have been anything, I don’t know. GC June 14e

Took the evening medications, and put a hat on to block the light, and tried to get back to sleep. Which, amazingly, I did!

TTFNski!

Inchcock – Tues 23 July 2019: Fell over getting off the bus, otherwise an archetypical day for the old gollumpus!

2019 July 23

2019 July 23a

Tuesday 23rd July 2019

Javanese: Selasa 23 Juli 2019

00:40hrs. The previous awakenings have all been unassociated with the one before, different. This morning was noncontradictory to this pattern. I stirred in such a good mood, I thought at first that I was still sleeping and having a dream! I soon sussed-out why. It was the help I’d had from Deana yesterday. In her sorting so out the many medical related problems with appointments, Warfarin etcetera for me.

WD 40.0.0. These exceptional and none-typical, rare, almost gleefull emotions were so welcome. But my EQ put a stop to my enjoying them to the full. Something soon, (possibly with regards to the medical arrangements), is going to go wrong. A suboptimal, unsatisfactory, spirit-bashing wretched complication is due, today or tomorrow. The EQ, although sometimes challenging to read, is rarely wrong! And the message was clear: A calamity emotion-wise is due! No point in fretting, nothing can be done to prevent the unknown!

2Tue01I contentedly galumphed my ever-growing flobby-bellied body, from the £300, second-hand, grotty-beige coloured, seen-better-days, rusty, rickety, c1968 recliner.

I grabbed the walking stick, got my balance, and off to utilise the EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-Wee Bucket). It had been used very little overnight, and the RDD (Reluctant-Drip-Drip) wee-wee I had, added very little to the contents, although it took an inordinately long time.

The nerve-damaged leg seemed to have acquired some extra blood-papsules, spots, what looked like scratches and some more, new spider-veins had appeared. The regular pale, anaemic looking skin was no worse this morning.

2Tue03aOff to the kitchen. Where I rinsed out the soaking overnight hand wash bits and got them on the stand-up airer to encourage their drying process. Then got the kettle on, and did the Health Checks. The results were very pleasing (I think) today; Sys 128, Dia 71, Pulse 78, and temperature 34.8°c. The pulse had gone down a fair bit. I wonder if the lack of the INR nurse coming to take the blood, means that the level 2Tue03of Warfarin has gone too far up or down, and that has affected the reading level?

Shame about the hands and fingers doing a mini-dance routine as I was taking a picture of the sphygmomanometer readings. I didn’t realise until I downloaded it to Coreldraw. Hey-ho!

I took the medications, made a brew, and decided to pop out on the new unwanted, work creating, lumps of hand-flash tearing on its metal spring-clip opener that needs pushing, bending, and pulling to operate it, windows.

I took a couple of photographicalisations. One of below, showing the house and street lights of Sherwood, with Chestnut Way car park underneath.

The metal spring opener was not quick enough to tear any finger-flesh this time! Hehe!

I then went on the computer, opened CorelDraw and began to make, well adapt and put on a vignette effect on the picture. I’ll use it later for an Inchcock’s Thought graphic.

The legs, hands fingers and shoulder were all calm now. And they stayed this way for two hours or more, while I worked at the CorelDrawing.

Then I moved on to updating the Monday Inchcock Today.

Most astoundingly, and hard for even me to understand, but there was hardly any dancing, jumping, shaking or trembling from any affected part of the body at all… well, that’s not dead-accurate. The shoulder did give me some massive twitches, but only occasionally, and not for long at all. A rather warm-feeling that contained hope in there somewhere came over me. Optimistic [Temporarily of course]-Mode-Engaged! Haha!

I got the Monday blog finished and sent off to WordPress. I was getting nervous with things going so well – the EQ message kept coming to mind, I’ve no confidence at all. Sad innit?

Back to the CorelDraw graphics creating.

Then I got this blog started off.

Time to stop and get the ablutions done. Back later, my fellow tellurians.

I needed a Porcelain Throne session. Still painful and very much a struggle. By the time I get to the Doctors. To mention this ‘Issue’ amongst others, it will be three weeks of agonising throne visiting. Of course getting me an emergency visit, by the delightfully entrancingly beauteous Hauptbereitschaftsleiteress Warden and Cosmopolitan Model Deana, for a week, I anticipate the problem may have cleared up. Then again, I’ve been suffering with erm… over-firmness and bleeding for a fortnight now.

WD 40.0.0. WD 40.0.0A Just the one cut while shaving. Dropped the toothpaste. Dropped the razor twice, and stuck the scissors in my finger. All normal there then! Hahaha!

All dressed and smelling a lot better now, I made up three bags and took them to the waste chute. Got the three-wheeler guide out, and thought I must have a look to see if I can do anything about the brakes, later. Which was a rather bold idea, considering my total lack of engineering skills and the Polyneuropathy movement affected the right-hand side of the stumpy yet wobbly body! Hat and sleeveless jacket on, and off, out to the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights, Obergruppenführeress Warden’s Temporary 3Wed001bHQ. Sarcasm & Insult distribution area. Tenants Socialisationistical Meeting Shed. Telling Inchcock off Zone. Memory blank message-giving and taking office. Where things like crockery and pottery get stolen from. Rumourmongering Clinic, and somewhere to rest while waiting for the bus, Portakabin.

Just a social visit.

3Wed01bI took a photographicalisation of Winwood and Winchester Court, and the new passageway that is nearly finished, between Woodthorpe Court and Winwood Court, as I hobbled along Chestnut Way. Coming on well, now. The newly relaid again turf is looking better now we have had some rain. How long before cars go on it, dogs poo on it, and yobboes tear it up? Pessimistic? Me? Hahaha!

Nearing the hut, I saw how the same little yellow wildflowers as the ones I shot yesterday, had been battered by the overnight winds. Many thin bee-like insects were showing great interest in the petals. But the close-up shot I tried to take of them, just went to prove my lack of photographicalisational skills and how the hand was shaking. Tsk!

3Wed01f

I got in the cabin, and several of the NCH chaps were in there on their laptops. Deana and Julie were busy in their office. Must be a hectic time for them, with the upcoming relocation into the Winwood Court building. I offered the ladies a quick good morning, and I handed out some nibbles to the gentlemen. I even got a smile out of some of them. Then, out and over the road to the bus stop. Where the tenants were having a good chinwag, and I joined in, and some laughs were inspired. I had a struggle getting the trolley on to the bus. I was soon chatting away, sat next to Mary.

WD 40.0.0.WD 40.0.0A: As the bus stopped near the Asda store on Front Street, in Arnold, I was getting off with the three-wheeler trolley-guide, last, as is usual, and the trolley tipped over, and I followed it to the floor! Thanks, to the leg doing its involuntary ungraceful version of the Bharatnatyam, with the heebie-jeebies thrown in for good measure! The driver came to assist me down the aisle and off the bus. I did feel the right Klutz! I think I banged or pulled something in the lower back. But the pain soon eased off.

Mary showed some concern for me, bless her. We both went into the Asda store. I needed some Uncle Benn’s BBQ flavour rice, bacon fries and bread. Mary and I split-up, as I went in search of the rice. Ending up asking an assistant where they were, and she kindly walked me to them; at the far end of the store! Hehe! Kind of her. Then I had to walk back to the other end again, to get the bread and chips. I found some wholemeal flatbreads, which will go in the freezer, I hope. I also got a pack of cheapo lollies. I paid at the self-serve till without any problems.

3Wed01gI realised that I might not make it to the bus stop on time. So, my top rate of knots (fair enough, it might not be much, but it got me breathing heavily). Mary was in the shelter, she said she is going to town on a 58 bus. The bloke behind when I snapped Mary, looked a bit guilty of something, judging by his facial reaction. Haha!

The 58 arrived, and I bade farewell to Mary. The L9 followed, and I wearily got on and settle down on a side-saddle seat. The driver was the same one we had when going to Arnold, and he waited until I was sat down before moving off, I thanked him with hand signals!

3Wed01hThe bus soon had us back at the flats. My back was stinging a little again, as I hobbled along Chestnut Way to Woodthorpe Court. Which had had a long-overdue facelift and clean-up. I got up and in the flat without seeing anyone.

I almost went in the wet room for a wee-wee. Had to stop myself realising I didn’t need one! Sheesh!

Another letter from the Nottingham City Homes. Regrettably, about rats being seen near the Woodthorpe Court lobby entrance door! It said that the Tenants leaving waste and rubbish outside the caretaker’s area might be attracting the vermin. If the bags of waste are too big to go down the (much reduced in size opening, to help avoid blockages in the shaft) chute, “You may want to consider splitting the bag 2Tue21into two separate bags so that the items can be disposed of in the correct manner.” They advised that residents do not throw out food for the birds, or throw food items out of their windows. Section 3.16 of your tenancy agreement does explain how you should dispose of your waste if you live in a flat.

Well, I agree with what they say. I, personally, myself, me, Inchcock, only leave recyclable waste bags outside. But, they have a point about this, I hadn’t considered. The empty food cans, although rinsed out, may well still have a bit of food in them. The rats can smell this, and will bite through searching for fodder! So, I’ll stop doing this from now on.

I have now got four waste bins in the flat, and regularly, well, daily dispose of them down the chute. It cost a bit in buying so many black bags for the general waste and white ones for the recyclable stuff. Yet, I still spasmodically see folks using the old, but looking new, orange bags previously supplied for the recyclable use, adopting them as shopping carrier bags, now they are not being distributed. Feeding the birds is a no-no!

It made me wonder, when we had a delay in the building update works, by a discovery of pipistrelle bats, that are a protected species. The hassle this caused! I hope they do not make Homo sapiens a protected species. How would they punish North Vietnam, Russia, China… in fact, any Government! Haha!

I made a brew while cooking, and pondered on the week’s appointments up to now, anyway. Busy!

3Wed001

I got the nosh served up. What a disappointment, though. It looked just fine at first. Chicken breast, tomatoes, gherkins, garden peas, and some of the bacon flavoured fries.

The taste-buds were limbering up, and I got it served up.

2UseWD 40.0.0. When I was tucking into it, I realised that the chicken was not as fresh as it looked. A close nasal inspection and I dispensed with the chicken breasts, immediately! The rest of the meal was fine! A taste Rating of 6.5/10. Note the two vinegar flavoured rice cakes in place of bread. Smug-Mode-Adopted!

2Tue19As I was washing up the pots, the and its cloud formations looked fantastic, so much so, I got the Nikon camera and took a picture through the open, unwanted, work-creating, view-blocking, light-limiting, thick-framed new kitchen window. (In the morning, I tried to use the Red Eye remover, to take out a spot. But it was not an entirely successful first attempt. The place I tried to remove can still be seen. Huh!

WD 40.0.0. As I settled down to watch some TV, the ankle-ulcer and right leg started to tingle, and a sense that I had worms inside the limb, wriggling about began. I reckon I could see the skin /flesh moving!

WD 40.0.0. As for my viewing the Rumpole of the Baily episode, that lasted around five minutes before I nodded off!

WD 40.0.0. The landline rang, and the light woke me, but, by the time I got to the phone, it stopped!

I watched intermittent five-minutes worth of TV, then fell asleep, repeatedly for an hour or so.

WD 40.0.0. I roused myself and got the hand laundry washed, rinsed and hung up above the sink. Then got the medications taken, and back in the dangerous, unreliable, sometimes working, £300, second-hand, gungy-beige coloured, c1968 recliner again.

WD 40.0.0. I was woken again by the landline red light flashing. Too late once more, and the caller rang off before I got to the telephone. It might have been the phlebotomy nurse? Oh, dear!

I’m not sure about how things went in a way, today. The frequency of the wee-wees had significantly reduced. Good or bad? Only three adverse occurrences of the leg doing its dance routine – but the last one had me over and onto the bus floor? The ankle vesication appeared so much calmer and less vivid, yet the sensation of worms in the ulcer was stronger? THe legs are both far thinner now, but one or the other is always fatter than the other one? Why am I still… Oh, it doesn’t matter. Haha!

TTFNski!.

Inchcock Today – Sun 21 July 2019: A sad day of much dysphoria, Accifauxpas, dizzies & dysautonomia. But it ended well!

Haiwian Creole: Dimanche 21 Jiyè 2019

WD 0.40.0. 02:15hrs: It was a rare case of dysania for me this morning. As it is well known, I am not a slugabed. In fact, I’m semi-proud of my ability, especially with the ‘Issues’ I have, to rise and shine with particular enthusiasm, even fervour sometimes, for whatever my unfortunate circumstance in life has thrown at me, or has in store for me, good and early. But the depression I woke up with today, was overbearing.

7Sun01My first thoughts were of the rather pathetic I’m-dooomed-mood I was in, and self-recriminations flowed, for my being in it. The problems fleeted through my mind; No INR blood test, not done, no message from the medical people about it. Will it be done or not? Who knows, who cares! I have to call at the surgery to book a health check and ask for an appointment to allow me to bore the Doctor with my depressiveness, and ask for some beta-blockers. Josie’s meal to prepare, I can’t hear (As so many other tenants) when anyone calls on the Intercom, the dysautonomia is getting worse, not that they can do anything about it, mind. Cleaning the flat is getting too much for me. The Accifauxpas are increasing (Little did I know what was in store for me later – Humph!). I’m losing, misplacing things more and more. The legs are coming up with blotches and bleeding without any knocks? I must remember to mention this when I can get out to call at the surgery if I call tomorrow, then will I miss the INR Nurse again – will I hear her if she does come on the Intercom? And many others worries to be ruminated about and no solutions to be found. I took about twenty-five minutes to write this paragraph or more. Not through any over-thinking about, the thoughts came to me like a shot. But the Autonomic nerve-damaged hand, fingers and shoulder, even the arm are dancing about so often this morning!

————————————————————————————————————————-

WD 0.40.0.

One thing I want to tell you about now while I think of it, in case I forget. This was so funny and annoying at the same time. When I was finishing off the Sunday post earlier, the famously erratic right-hand shot up and out; like I was giving a sudden Hitler salute! I clouted the back of the hand on the desk corner (Humph!). Of course, I have no control over the Axonotmesis inspired actions at all. I knocked over the glasses and clock. Hit the computer, and knocked down the walking-stick as the errant limb moved to the right! Cleaning things up causes me more grief and pain! Memory problems were oddly missed from this list. The poor old devil!

Despite my having to smile about it at the time, this did not help my mood, frustration, and foul early-morning language still came forth, inwardly, thank heavens, not out loud! My neighbour might tell me if I did? I hope I didn’t, anyway!

————————————————————————————————————————-

I tried to not allow myself to sink any further into the mire of morosity. Had a few words of admonishment with myself! Feeling suitably reprimanded, I carefully rose out of the £30, second-hand, seen-better-days, sometimes working, yucky beige-coloured, rickety, 1968, recliner. Got the walking stick, and plodded the few paces to the almost half-full already from last night, (that I cannot recall using once!) EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-Wee Bucket) and the following wee-wee, was of the RWPSWW (Reluctant-Weak-Painful-Spraying-Wee-Wee) style. Then made my way cautiously to the kitchen, to make a brew and get the hand-washing done. Rinsed them and put them hanging and on the airer to dry.

7Sun02Then I needed another wee-wee! This one was totally different. A painless ELSOAO (Extra-Long-Spraying-Out-All-Over) mode.

I had a wash of the hands, using the left-over water from the washing up bowl. So I should smell of Y-lang and lavender Dettol disinfectant. Nice! Hehe!

I ate the medications, oiled the ears and drank the medicine. Made a belated brew of tea. The leg was of no bother at all this morning, but, the fingers and hands were active. Double-Humph!

I got the pod peas shelled, for Josie and me later one, and in the saucepan. There should have been enough from yesterday, but I got carried away, on Saturday – and ate them all. Haha! Put the mushroom in the crock-pot, and cooking.

WD 0.40.0. I decided to take some panoramic photographs from the balcony. Brave lad! What’re a few chunks torn-out of a finger and being chewed up by the deadly spring opener to worry about? And tried to take a scenic shot. But the Neuropathically damaged nerves were not allowing the hands to stay still enough. So, I took singles. And not good ones, either! Shame Mode Adopted!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

I went to make another mug of tea (the wee-wees were getting less often at last). I got it poured and left it to marinate so it would be tasty and strong, cause I had to visit the Porcelain Throne.

WD 0.40.0. Although the resulting evacuation was a little less bothersome than yesterdays, it was still too painful for comfort. Had a wash, stubbed my toe, and returned to the front junk room (as opposed to the Other junk room) to start on the computerisationing. The trying-to-type problems varied, from just about managing to sod-it, I give up scenarios! I persevered with perseverance (Hehe!), and after several hours, I got it finished and posted off. The whole time this took to do, and only two wee-wee’s were needed. Amazing!

Then, weary in mind, I made another brew and looked up the peripheral neuralgia effects that medications can be the cause of. But the only site with a lot of names, I didn’t know which brand name they were using. Simvastatin was the only one I recognised, and I have just been taken off of them by the hospital, not the Doctor, and been put on an alternative, Atorvastatin.

The shaking and dancing limbs have never lasted so long before. But the wee-weeing became less often.

WD 0.40.0. a When I had to empty the grey bucket again, I very nearly dropped it, just before pouring it into the WC bowl. Huh! Then when it was left, the shakes enabled me to dropped it accurately, and it hit the right ankle, which made me jump, and I stubbed the right big toe against the seat-riser metal legs!

I got Josie’s nosh all prepared, and Brother-in-law Pete rang while I was doing it. It’s the hidden clandestine CCTV cameras he put in while he was at the flat when I had the stroke, going through everything and taking all my money, cash card, keepsakes and valuables. Now he knows when to call me for the most considerable inconvenience. Hehehe! Only joking! Well, not about the money and valuables, of course. Hahaha! We had a jolly chinwagging session. I like a laugh with Pete, takes a gag well, a decent sort he is!

I checked the cooking and shot off to the wet room… Hehe! Shot Off, what a mistaka to maka! I limped with the walking stick to the wet room. That’s more accurate! Snigger! A wee-wee of the WYSAO (Weak-Yet-Spraying-All-Over) variety was taken. The teggies and shaving were done without any bleeding!

7Sun16WD 0.40.0. Then, just like yesterday, a heavy-duty session was needed, so I got on the Porcelain Throne. Oh, dear, a  lot of bleeding this time. But not to worry, it was only from Harolds Haemorrhoids. The shower went well and safe, despite a little dizziness, that only lasted a few seconds, but it was intense. The chair in there and the bars on the tiles meant I coped with it well. Holier-than-thouMode-Adopted.

I spotted while putting on the sort balsa socks, that the lesions, spots, papsules, hickeys, pimples, pustules, erythemas, skin eruptions and other unknown pot-marks, were looking less inflamed!

Lie01b 0.51.0 Oh, I said balsa socks, didn’t I – I meant bamboo socks. Not like me to make mistakes! Mmm!

Afterwards, I got Josie’s meal served and delivered to her door. I was pleased as punch that she liked the look of it.

WD 0.40.0. Got back inside the fleapit, and realised I had forgotten to put the mushrooms on her salva – What a Schlemiel! I got them out of the cooker and into a pot and took them to her. She was not happy at being disturbed eating. I apologised, told her that they were hot, and not to hold them by the bottom. (I took that as an honour, her being irked, tells me she was enjoying it). She obviously could not hear me, (Not her fault!) bless her. She grabbed the tub by the bottom and said; “Oh, they’re hot!” Hehe! I didn’t think to photograph it, with rushing to get it to her on time.

I got back on the computer, which Virgin Media was currently running okay. Honestly!

WD 0.40.0. But the fingers and shoulder, although less hassle than earlier, were still playing up occasionally. Believe it or not, but the sensation went in the finger tips for a while completely, and as I had just pressed the ‘O’ key, I ended up with three and a half lines of ‘O’s, to correct, along with many more errors! Oy Vay!

I went on CorelDraw, to make up some more page top and Thoughts graphics. I made one for the TFZer site as well. I hope they like it, their pussies, you know. “The Shredders!”

1Mon07

Some odd clanging noises coming from somewhere or other? I hate it when I can’t identify sounds I can actually hear!

I closed down the computer and watched some TV for a bit, until Josie, bless her, returned the plate, tray and cutlery. She said she enjoyed it a lot, thanked me, and added that it was little too much for her. So, I promised to make a little smaller meal next weekend. She offered me some desserts, and I gently explained that I cannot eat strawberries, even in yoghourt. She was meeting her Sister for a drink later, and I wished her an enjoyable trip. So glad she liked the meal.

1Mon01aI set about finalising my grand feast then. A big plateful. With: Seasoned chips (fries), tuna chunks in brine, fresh garden peas, tomatoes, and some well-burnt, crispy cheesy-potatoes! Followed by a criminally naughty Limoncello second course, dessert!

Smug-Mode Adopted: I’d done it again. Another most delightful and flavoursome nosh! Taste Rating: 9.25/10!

I did the washing up. Then the hand-washing. Back to the TV, to keep nodding-off and waking repeatedly, until I got fed up with it, and settled to get the head-down. But proper sleep was a long time coming. Tsk!

Inchcock Today – Saturday 20th July 2019:

2019 July 20

2019 July 21

Saturday 20th July 2019

Welsh: Dydd Sadwrn 20 Gorffennaf 2019

WD 0.0.30b 23:45hrs: Somehow or other, this morning, I woke up and found I was relieving myself using the EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-Wee Bucket), and what another change in modes this one was. This did not need any acronym, two words will do: Long-Sensationless wee-wee! And, of course, this style can be dodgy for me knowing when things have stopped… or not! Haha! But, I could not remember actually getting out of the £300, second-hand, grotty-beige coloured, sometimes-working, c1969, near-dilapidated, rickety, uncomfortable recliner, or getting the walking stick either? I found this almost traumatic and off-putting. But the brain soon forgot all about it when the need to use the Porcelain Throne arrived.

WD 0.0.30b I made my way with the walking-stick in hand, and the evacuation was a repeat of the last two. Reluctant, and when things moved, so slowly, there was no way of stopping it. Painful in the extreme again! Am I doing right in taking the Senna tablets? Mind you, if I didn’t, I might be in a bigger mess?

WD 0.0.30b5Sat01 Then the simple, but the confused brain, decided I should have a clean-up and get the hand-washing done, so I did! As I was putting the towel on the rack, I spotted some fresh-looking blood, only tiny spots on the material. I had a look around everywhere, cause there was no pain at all anywhere, ah, the pins again! I’m sure that I was not scratching at it still last night?

5Fri10Then again, I can’t recall my getting out of the recliner this morning either?

I took the medications, then made a brew of the Glengettie tea.

I started to wash the togs, only a t-shirt and pair of bamboo socks and noticed I’d not taken the antacid medicine. I placed it on the side of the sink to remind me not to forget.

WD 0.0.30b Then, as I rinsed the togs out, I knocked the bottle into the bowl of disinfectant and liquid soapflakes I was emptying! After closer inspection of the receptacle, it seems the cap had held tight, and no water had gone in the bottle. Luck? Me? Unnatural this is! Of course, I’m hoped after taking the four-gulps, that I had not made a mistake. Tsk! (Things were okay later, though!) Luck? Me? Unnatural this is!

5Sat02I took a photo with the Nikon camera, of the lights still on, outside. I tried again to take a panoramic shot, but the hands were not free from shaking, and the shoulder was jiggling quite often. But the still shot, I look, pleased me. Swank Mode Engaged!

Then I got on the computer with the mug of tea at hand and started to update the Friday post. The hands, fingers and shoulder’s involuntary jumping and dancing increased in severity, on and off all the time now. They were not doing it for long at a time, though. The leg has not had a shuffle, stamp or tried to do the hokey-cokey at all today yet, and it usually does this every morning to some degree? Luck? Me? Unnatural this is!

I eventually got the Friday Diary finished, and went to make another mug of tea. I had to have another wee-wee, this time an SSPWW (Short-Sharp-Painful-Wee-wee).

Then I started photo album loading and visited the TFZ Facebook. That took a while, but I enjoyed it.

I made a start on this blog next. As I got to download the photographs, I was taking some off of both SD cards, the damned hand and fingers kicked off big time, and I dropped the SD card!

WD 0.0.30b I could not find the torch anywhere, although I was sure where it was. But it wasn’t (Does this ever happen to you? Hehe!) As for finding the gone astray, abscondicated missing SD card, I thought it might have fallen into the waste bin. So I carefully went methodically through all of the contents a little at a time. No luck!

6Sat01WDA black WD 0.0.30b So, I had to get down on my knees, and searched under the cabinet (which I needed the torch for, Tsk!), and failed to find it. As I was getting up, using the method the nurses had explained to me, the shin of the right leg had stuck to the carpet, in the blood! As I shuffled along on my knees, the lesions must have been scraped and opened up. Didn’t half-sting when I tried to get to my feet. Hehehe! It took some effort and discomfort for me to get back upright, but the main thing I was concerned about was where the flipping card could have got to! I knew it had the photograph of the morning view and felt it was a decent one, too, That wrangled me! I had to take another wee-wee in the grey bucket, and what a one it was, it was totally different again. This one was an ELSOA (Extra-Long-Spraying-Out-Allover) type. While I was waiting for things to end, I spotted the SD card on the carpet where I had been bent down searching for it! How I had missed it, I don’t know. Perhaps it had stuck to the blood and dropped off as I was getting up again? I don’t know! I was worried it might have been damaged and got it in the reader straight away. Phew, it worked!

Pain 01L WD 0.0.30b I know the nerve-end dying, and other ailments have me at a disadvantaged position. Yet I still feel that the Boss in the sky, was being discriminatory in giving me such a teensy-weensy, itsy-bitsy, puny, miniature manhood to start with, allocates me to two battling parents, a Mother who ran away, then arranges for me to get shot, be made redundant several times and grants me little wisdom! I struggled financially and with depression into retirement, with Duodenal Donald, Reflux Roger,  Kidney Stone Kevin, failing eyesight, going deaf, Shingles Shiela, then I was given a Hernia, all before I retired! Then, he adds Colin Cramps. Removes any signs of positiveness within me, masticates my memory, blesses me a worrying capability that brings on frustrations and depression.

Then cruelly lets more wicked ‘ailments’ free on me to enjoy over my twilight years: three muggings, Arthur Itis, Anne Gyna, Aorta Heart valve replacement, Peripheral Neuralgia, Diabetic Polyneuropathy, Peripheral Neuralgia, Axonotmesis, Lethologica and this year, a Stroke. I could get depressed, you know! Hehehe!

He makes my flat the only one that gets a mass invasion of Evil Boll Weevils for seven months. The sole unit which gets his power cut off by sub-contracting electricians, allows a new intercom to be fitted that I cannot hear (Along with many more tenants!), so I miss the INR Warfarin nurse calling and no message or interest from the doctor about it! My flat’s the only one that the plasterer destroys furniture and carpets! Gives me windows that need a stepladder to clean and see out off and fall off of the steps! A metal spring clip opener on the balcony, that need pushing and pulling at the same time, and has had a few chunks out of my finger already…

Still, Rumpole of the Bailey and Red Dwarf are to be shown again next month! Hehehe!

Got the ablutions done, without any cuts, sock-glide-battles, knocks, falling off of anything, banging into anything, or stubbed toes. Smug-Mode-Adopted!

6Sat05WDA black I got back on with this blog, and realise the time was getting on. So I got the ready-sliced mushrooms, to rinse and get them in the slow-cooker. The flamming dancing hands and arm began… and the just washed mushrooms hit the deck, and came out of the tray upside down (Of course). Grobbleknobwits!

I made up two templates for future use with the graphics done earlier. Must rush, I’ve got some peppers to give to the social to sell later. But I changed my mind, and put some away for Jenny and Josie later on. I took the black bags to the waste chute. Put the jars in the three-wheeled trolley.

WD 0.0.30b Called at Josie’s on the way out, but no answer.

This is the round-about route I took.

6Sat05a

6Sat07Dropped empty sauce jars in the glass recycling bin with the umpteen wine, whisky, Gin, bottles etc. already on there. But this week I did not see any Absynth bottles. Haha!

Took this snap of Winwood and Winchester Courts along Chestnut way.

6Sat06

I spotted some BT Media vans near the traffic island. The first bus is due in about 50-minutes, that could be an exciting altercation twist the bus drivers and the BT pretend engineers. I’m not biased, of course. My past experience of BT’s couldn’t care less attitude and the superior, smug way they ignored me, it well remembered. Unfortunately, I went onto Virgin Media after that. Humph! A born Loser Me!

Then I called in the cabin and handed some nibbles out. The capsicums didn’t last long! Well, they were fresh and free! I must remember to take some up for Jenny later and give Josie a couple if I can catch her. I really thought I had ordered tomatoes, not peppers! This is the reason I’m going out today, to get some so that Josie and I do not go without. But, no contact with Josie, so I still do not know if the gal would like her meal today or tomorrow, and at what time. It’s like this every weekend. Not her fault, she is just like me. Either can’t hear the bells or goes out and forgets to let me know. A note though my door, saying when she would like her nosh, something like, ‘Saturday 13:00hrs this week’, is all it would take. And it would save me so much hassle. But I do understand and empathise about forgetfulness. I do love making a nosh for the gal! Bless her. Nemo Mortalium Horis Sapit!

6Sat08WD 0.0.30b I spotted some Nottinghamian Street Art as I walked along to Winchester Street. We can’t usually see this in the week, as the place is packed with contractors vehicles and block the view as well as the pavement.

Looks like a sewer entrance of some sort, but I don’t know. Only guessing at what it might be. It seems some equipment was down there. Glad the full power of Health & Safety procedure was 6Sat09followed… well a traffic cone was dropped on top of the hole! I kept well back from it!

WD 0.0.30b As I turned the corner, the same van was on the pavement, blocking access again. No room to get through, so out onto the road with the trolley I had to go. No idea who’s it is, but there were enough nibbles and drinks in the cab, to have kept me going for a year or more. Hahaha!

6Sat10WD 0.0.30b A little further along down the hill, and I decided to stay on the road until I got beyond a load of seeds and pods on the sidewalk.

They make a mess of the trolley wheels, and some always, inevitably get traipst into the flat afterwards!

6Sat11The three-wheel trolley-guide just does no like going downhill at all!

I got back on the pavement a little further down the road. But I remembered yesterday mess accrued on the four-wheeled guide, and that has smaller wheels. Mind you, the brakes work better than the ones do on this one. When 6Sat12I say work better, I mean are not so bad!

I got to the bottom of Winchester Street, as the wind started to blow strongly. I noticed the Big Issue lady, the one with two or three mobile phones, was not there today. Her orange chair was, so I kept an eye out for her, so I could avoid her if possible.

WD 0.0.30b They were having some sort of art and craft stalls on the pavement today, getting through to the Co-op store was not easy, especially with the booths and this trolley and the worsening wind! I got in the Co-op, and food trays blocked my way! Tsk! I had to walk to the end of the shop and back up another aisle to get to the tomatoes, and the shredded cheese. Which was on offer if you bought two packs. And still dearer 6Sat13than Asda’s at their regular price per pack! Bought the tomatoes, the chap on the checkout was so laid-back, I thought he might be on drugs or booze? Haha!

“Touch of jealousy creeping in there?”

I noticed some more stallholders on the other side of the road as I walked up Mansfield Road. I’d decided to make it a circular mini-hobble, 6Sat14and return via Woodthorpe Grange Park. I’m glad I did. I felt sorry for the merchants, as I do the shopkeepers in Sherwood. I believe that precious few of them are making a profit from their retail units.

Up and over the hill, down to the park gates. By Jiminy Cricket, the wind was blowing much 6Sat15stronger now. But it was not a cold one.

A quarter of the way up the footpath, and not many folks about. Although some dogs taking their owners for a walk did pass by. Haha!

WD 0.0.30b Avoiding grit, leaves, petals and seeds from the trees getting onto the trolley, was mission impossible.

6Sat16About half the way up the incline, there is a next of trees, that always draws my attention and admiration. Two years or so ago, the old trees were on the verge of dying. In fact, one did, and is still laying there, between the other trees that have recovered. Thanks to the hard work from the Nottingham City Council Park Workers. Bootiful!

6Sat17To the top, and right down the gravel path. This got the wind up me! The trolley was controlled and didn’t tip or blow over; but that was pure luck more than judgement, I’m sure!

The wind was howling now. I carefully took a picture of the Winwood Heights Complex. It came out alright, despite the wind and shaking 6Sat18hands and elbow!

WD 0.0.30b The trees and bushes were being blown about something awful. I took this photograph because I thought it would catch a view of how bad the wind was.

WD 0.0.30b My journey down the gravel path became something of a nightmare for me. The flaming leg started dancing, controlling the trolley and not falling over, was as difficult as it ever has been. Although the wind nearly had me over, and the leg stayed in dancing mode all the way to the bottom of the slope, before settling down.

Home. Foyer note, Note on panel, Many intercoms not working.

Called at Josies, no reply.

Cleaned the three-wheeler, wheels, making more mess as I did so. Humph!

Updating the blog for a while then called a Josie’s, she answered, she’s been out. She’ll be going out with her Sisters for a dinky-poo and nibble in an hour or so. So, no meal needed today. I can delivery it tomorrow at 12:00hrs. She looked in good health today, I’m glad to say. I’ll get her nosh, with the smoked mackerel fillets done, in the morning. All my pleasure.

6Sat18aGot my nosh going. Potatoes, boiling them this time, them I mashed them up with some Leicester Cheese and brown them off in the oven, the freshly podded peas, sliced tomatoes and mushrooms, a can of the tuna chunks in brine (I’m so glad that Josie put me on to this food, they taste super-duper!). And three battered fish fingers, done in the oven when I browned off the cheesy potatoes!

6Sat19A naughtykins Limoncello as dessert made a feast worthy of another 9/10 Flavour Rating! I got the pots washed up, as the weariness slowly grew.

A wee-wee, of equal longest-ever duration, was taken. I’d forgotten what I was to do next by the time it had finished, and judging when that was, was hit and miss! An LWDS (Long-Weak-Dribbling-Sprinkling) wee-wee, messy!

One Hell of a Dizzy Dennis-spell came over me as I was taking the medications. The longest one I’ve ever had, I think. Frit me a bit! Then, suddenly back to normal. A most peculiar sensation.

As I began to move from where I was stood in the corner of the kitchen (in case I went over during the funny spell), the heavens opened up with a vengeance. For a few minutes, it was like a thunderstorm, without thunder. (Another gem of a phrase from the autodidactic old Nottinghamian Pensioner!) Before you could say, Jack Robinson, it stopped altogether, and 30-seconds later, it was back to full flow? A minute after that, it stopped altogether.

I thought I’d have a look at what was on the TV… but this was prevented by Mr Steven ($17m salaried) Fries!

Virgin5

So, I put the TV on, to look at the Virgin Media supplied TV Guide. Nope, that was off too! Perhaps the little short storm, had affected something? It makes me sick, when I see the advertisements for various frauding companies, about ‘Super Fast Broadband’ – they should be banned! Phwert!

Got the head down, and I stewed inwardly.

Inchcock Today – Frid 19 July 2019: Another mixed day: Frictious, Accident-Prone and Logic-Free!

2019 July 19

2019 July 18

Friday 19th July 2019

Welsh: Dydd Gwener 19 Gorffennaf 2019

WD 0.0.150 01:35hrs. I woke up wobbling and shaking all over – but whatever the cause was I’ll never know, it stopped within a minute or so, I lay there for a few moments, fearing I may have had another stroke, got pneumonia or whatever. But things were fine, no pains whatsoever, and the shivering stopped. Perhaps I had had a dream? I expect so, it’s not rare for me to forget the nocturnal meditations, and something later in the day triggers the brain to recollect things.

I became almost sprightly, as I removed my obesely potbellied short torso, with its fluid-filled legs and gangly thin arms, slumbering, short, plump, ailment-ridden body from the second-hand, tatty, beige coloured, c1968, rickety recliner. Walkingsticklessy I hobbled the few paces to the EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-Wee Bucket), revealing that it had not been used overnight at all (a rarity indeed!), and had an ELWPWW (Extremely-Long-Weak-Powerless-Wee-wee).

Apart from some lingering cramps in the fingers, I began to feel practically perky! Without the walking stick, I limped into the kitchen and put the kettle on and started to do the hand-washing. Rinsed and put the things on the upright airer for drying, when a smattering of common-sense broke into my brain, and I decided to fetch a stick to use.

WD 0.0.150 A WD 0.0.150 I was in the wet room, cleaning and sanitising the grey bucket, and needed another wee-wee, so I used the WC. What a change for this passage of fluid! An ELPSOA (Extra-Long-Powerful-Spraying-Out-Allover) wee-wee. Unbelievable! By the time I had stopped the persistent flow, I don’t think there was anywhere in the room that had not been sprayed or splashed on, including me! Why this outburst from my inner splanchnic area, I don’t know, but the humorous side came out in me a little. I was having a persiflage, a repartee, or banter with myself about the calamity, all of the hour I had used up while cleaning my torso and the room!

WD 0.0.150 A But the self-nattering soon stopped! As I was cleaning out the mop head, the danged arm and shoulder went off on one their polyneuropathy inspired dancing sessions. It didn’t last for long, but enough for me to clout myself on the head with the mop handle as it swung around before I could let go of it! I should perhaps have been more annoyed than I was, but I appreciated how god things in the ‘dancin’ department had been lately, I think that relieved the temper a bit.

5Fri01Back to the kitchen, stick in hand, and got the kettle on the boil again.

Got the medications taken, and after winning the battle to get the sphygmomanometer to work, I did the health checks.

Another reason to be pleased, all bar the temperature which was only 34.6°c, things looked really good to me.

WD 0.0.150 Well, blow-me! Back to the wet room for the Porcelain Throne to be utilised. What a painful struggle and experience that was! Cor, Luvvaduck and blimey! (which is nearly what I said, ahem!) I have not laboured like that before, but at least there was no bleeding (astonishingly). I thought it was bad enough being indoors waiting and not knowing if the nurse will call or not to take the blood, without being stuck in the wet room on the throne! Hehe!

I observed that something had been put through the letterbox, and went to investigate. The envelope contained a sample-vial, and Jenny had delivered it for me. She is so kind to me. ♥

I went to find some clothes to put on later and noticed the legs were looking a bit battered again. The skin was ashen looking once more. The papsules, lumps and spots seem to have increased, too. It’s the first time since I’ve been wearing these bamboo socks that the swelling marks have shown up on the pins?

5Fri003a

WD 0.0.150 I needed another wee-wee and used the grey bucket to control the spray in case it comes out like last time. It came out worserer! At least the splashback from the short, but hose-pipe-like release, was more concentrated and forceful, thus, to avoid getting anything but me wet! Tsk!

I had a wash down, then got on the computer to update and post off the Thursday post. Which was at first. Easier than of late, no dancing from the limbs kicked off for ages, I’m glad to say. I got through the finalisation and got the post all but posted when the arm and shoulder started playing up.

In celebration, I thought I’d make a cuppa. The drilling noises, presumably from the on-going fitting of the new intercoms, was much fainter now, so it might get more so, as the day goes on, and the chap moves on to a higher floor? (I was wrong, it got louder an hour later, Hehe!).

The view from the unwanted light and view-blocking new kitchen windows looked rather nice, and I tried with the old Nikon camera, to take a panoramic shot. I’m afraid it took me eight tries, but on the last one, it took alright! Smug-Mode Adopted.

5Fri005

A shame the Nikon on will not let me take any wide shots. I assume this is because it so much smaller, with tiny buttons, and my Anoxonotmesis Neuralgia affected hands, arms, leg, and shoulder know about this, and refuse to hold steady long enough for me to take the shot? Hehehe!

I got the Thursday file updated and sent off at last. A total of nine wee-wees, all of the persistent and of various ‘Getting-Yourself-Wet’ modes!

WD 0.0.150I set about creating the graphics for and then started off this blog. It took me ages, far longer than it should have, thanks to the twitching and jumping limbs. I got as far as here and went to get the very-belated ablutions done. Hopefully, I will not rush about and risk any cuts!

I haven’t heard from the doctors about the INR Warfarin blood not being taken. I don’t suppose they are too interested.

Made some black bags and one recycling up, took the rubbish ones to the chute of the way out. With my walking down Winchester Street,

Bags, to the waste chute, one to the recycling bin.

Taking a walk to Sherwood with four-wheeler trolley-guide. It is better at going downhill  (I thought!).

WD 0.0.150 I was greeted by rain when I got outside. Dropped the bags at the bin, and had a miserable, wet, depressing walk along Chestnut Way, to the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights, Hauptbereitschaftsleiteress Warden’s Temporary HQ. Sarcasm & Insult distribution area. Tenants Socialisationistical Meeting Shed. Telling Inchcock off Zone. Where things like crockery and pottery get stolen from, Rumourmongering Clinic, and somewhere to rest while waiting for the bus, Portakabin.

5Fri007Oberstgruppenführeress Wardens Deana and Generalfeldmarschalless Julie were in the hut. A quick natter and nibbles handed out, then back out into the rain.

I took this first shot from under the brolly as I set off. See the orange bowser and chap in the picture? He was watering the grass lawns. Haha!

5Fri007aThe four-wheeled trolley was uncontrollable with only one hand. The other was holding the umbrella! It was going all over the place, and progress was hard and slow. Especially going down Winchester Street hill.

WD 0.0.150 Heck of a struggle and the brakes were useless in the wet, meant I had to go out onto the road, and nearly went over as I did so.

5Fri007bI got back on the pavement further down the road.

It was not cold at all, and no wind to worry about, either meteorological or physical. Hehehe!

As I got down and passing the bus stop, the cars gave my trousers a splashing, soaked the legs and bum!

5Fri007baA bit nearer Mansfield Road, a car gave me a splashing, and the shoe and socks got soaked as well!

The trolley was even more wayward as it got wetter en route. Near the trees and bushes, the leaves and petals got stuck to the trolley wheels, and it became even more difficult to control!

5Fri007bbThere were not many folks about, but who can blame them in this weather.

WD 0.0.150I tumbled down the kerb at this junction with Winchester Street. I didn’t fall over, mind, but the foot did go in a deep puddle of water. I may have one of the cleanest pairs of feet in Nottingham soon!  Humph! I got down to the bottom, and turned right, to the Co-op.

I got in the shop and bought just a packet of decent looking quality pod peas. Paid the lady, and back out, and up the hill towards the L9 bus stop, to get home. I was far too miserable and wet to stay out. On the short hobble, a Big Issue seller, with two mobile in use, Two Heart Foundation and a beggar tried to stop me for a cash donation.

5Fri007cAt the bus stop, the shelter was full, but no bother, I was so wet by then it didn’t matter to me one iota. Anyway, if I went under, out of the rain, the trolley couldn’t be used to sit on, it was also precipitationaly affected. Haha!

A queue had gathered, that kept going down in number as each bus arrived, yet still, two women were sat in the shelter. I assumed that they must be waiting for the L9 as well.

5Fri08But no, a minute or two later, a Land Rover Vogue pulled up and collected them. The cheek of it! Keeping all those bus passengers out in the rain! Haha!

The lock-up shop opposite the bus stop, although still having the For Rent sign above, had opened again, a second-hand clobber retailer.

When the L9 bus arrived, it was late, but in this weather, I felt lucky it came at all, there were many of the Winwood Heights clan on board. As usual, I got on last as all those who arrived after I had, rushed forward. Ah, well! I sat on a side-saddle seat next to Mary, we chatted, and Ray and Pete joined in on the short trip up the hill, and home. I walked back to Woodthorpe Court with Mary, and we continued our chinwagging.

WD 0.0.150 A WD 0.0.150 Just as I was getting the trolley up the kerb, the leg, arm and shoulder burst into a Peripheral Neuralgia inspired dancing and shaking! Mary showed her concern, and it all over within a minute or so, thankfully. At least it waited until the end of my vicambulation. Doris joined us afterwards, and we all went up in the lift cage together. Nibbles were shared, and a laugh had between us.

5Fri08aI got in the flat, and dried and cleaned the trolley. Had a wash, then decided to get a load of the fresh pod peas podded, ready for the morning. Enough for me tonight, and Josie and me on Saturday, or Sunday, I’ve not been able to get in touch with her again this week either, to find out what day and time she’d like her nosh doing and delivering. Most frustrating every weekend!

5Fri08bWD 0.0.150 I cleverly used the bowl to catch the pods and any escaping peas, while I  podded them. However, things didn’t go according to plan, But, with my luck, this was no surprise. Hehe! By the time I had shelled just three pods, two had gone missing, flew off into the ether. Finishing the last one, and around eight peas had absconded in total. I found two later, though. Huh!

5Fri09The meal was served up. It consisted of beef pasties, Marmite cheese, tomatoes, fresh peas, and some mash with lots of mature cheddar cheese! Another good un! 9.22/10 Flavour rating!

Put the TV on to watch Rumpole of the Bailey, nodded off and missed the ending of it.

Had to get up for a wee-wee, they seemed to be changing again, this one was of the SHS (Short-Hosepipelike-Sensationless) mode of wee-wee. One of the dangerous ones, that one cannot tell when or if it is finished! Hahaha! Thinking things in the wee-wee department might get worse (They didn’t), I emptied and sanitised the grey plastic bucket. I’m glad I did, though. I found two more peas!

Got down, and soon nodded off again!

Inchcock Today – Wed 10/7/19: I feared what the day may bring. A touch of lyssophobia, mayhap? Hehe!

Catalan: Dimecres 10 de Juliol de 2019

WD 128.0.128N  02:10hrs. I had a great six hour and a bit, kip! But got no joy out of it though, for my EQ told me that the terrible happenings of the last two days, could well be made to look like picnics by today’s events! No logic or sense to the thoughts, just a knowledge that things will not go as planned. Whether is to be the late arrival of the DCUK people (After assuring me I would be visited early, 08:00hrs, the first one of the day, I was told), or some other disaster that’s lurking in wait to descend upon me! I pray my EQ is wrong, but my faith is not precisely fidimplicitary in style, but following Monday and Tuesday’s horrendous happenings, I am not confident of any success at all – indeed I expect more tribulations, Whoopsiedangleplops, Accifauxpas and near-disasters to come today. We’ll see!

I glumly removed my odiously overweight and painful body from the cheap £300, second-hand, c1968, rusty, rickety, recliner and started the active day with an even longer than it took me yesterday first releasing. An MESNSWW (Marathon-Endless-Sprinkling-No-Sensation-Wee-Wee Again the usual problem of guessing when or if, it had stopped, thanks to the view-blocking midriff, was there for me. I suppose this might make me go for it with the Weight Loss Program (or not). I could not help feeling like I did, all sour and chagrined, and not sure why? A kind of timidity, neurasthenia, anxiety, apprehensiveness, trepidation and expectancy of failure (I’ll have to make up an acronym for this, perhaps, maybe, if I can instill some drive and energy into life) binding its time, ready for some armageddon-driven calamity to eagerly strike at Inchcock with casualty making (Mental or physical) intentions! I’ve had two bad days, they seem to have knocked the wind out of my get-up-and-go apparatus. My pzazz has turned to passivity, pity! Puh!

I cleaned and sanitised the grey bucket, then to the kitchen to do the hand washing and take the medications, before doing the health checks and making a brew of tea. All the time is this feeling of gloom hanging with me, most discombobulating!

To add to my depression…

Virgin (2)

I set about swearing and mock-spitting, and struggled to update and finally finish the Tuesday dairy, and got it sent off. During these hours, it took me to complete the task, I had only six wee-wees, they were all of the SSWW (Short-Sharp-Wee-Wee) style. Which was good, cause I can tell when things have stopped and needed shaking, with this mode of wee-wee! Haha! At least the fingers, hands, arm and shoulder we all behaving remarkably well. I can’t say the same for the leg, that was imitating the Hokey-Cokey and the Locomotion occasionally, but even then, only for a minute or two at longest. Perhaps the EQ was wrong about the imminent disasters to come! (Mmm! – confusion reigned)

As I moved on to doing the WP reader, I heard noises nearby, knocking and banging, perhaps some drilling as well. I assumed that the DCUK chaps were doing Josie’s bathroom and old airing cupboard first. Which is just what Josie and Josie and I didn’t want. Josie has lost her usual stay in bed late kip, and I will miss getting out on the 09:30hrs bus to the clinic for the Podiatrist appointment making. Life is not a bed of roses! Hehehe!

3Wed01bThen I tackled the ablutionalisationing session. The pins (legs) were looking good. On the pale-side again, but this seems reasonable nowadays, for Inchcock. The old leg ulcer still looked like it might be threatening to come back, but less so than yesterday?

Harolds Haemorrhoids were painful. I’ll find out more when the Porcelain Throne arrive, which surely must be soon? I took a Senna with the morning medications earlier?

WD 128.0.128N The water was not going down the sink plughole, well, it was, but so slowly! So, I have to keep covering the hole with the plug or a cloth to try and get it moving so I could use some drain-unblocker on it. Costing me a small fortune this is! Not that it was terribly successful, though. But I think it got a tad freer flowing away. Huh!

3Wed001bWD 128.0.128N I caught the tiny burn on the knuckle on the sink plug hole, and it turned into a baby blister in seconds? Shaving, and the right hand became active again. The shaving cream I was applying, got generously spread around the head, chest,  knee caps, sink, and floor! Hehe! I’m not sure why I cleaned the place up at this point, cause it is sure as heck is gonna need cleaning again soon.

3Wed01aWD 128.0.128N I then quickly managed to cut the flesh on the cheek, under the right eye, only a tiny lesion, as the right hand did one of its neuralgia induced little dances. I think it was trying for the Bolero this time. Hahaha!

I made a start on creating this blog and did the page top and Thoughts graphics. No Porcelain Throne summoning yet, but three more wee-wees of the RPDDWW (Reluctant, Painful-Drip-Drip-Wee-Wee) mode. These are more 3Wed01ctroublesome than might appear.

I made a brew of the Glengettie tea and took a photographicalisation from the hated, light & view blocking, impossible to get to, to clean new kitchen windows. The beauty of the view did not go missed by me.

WD 128.0.128N The door chimes rang out their mock-instrumental version of Dusty Springfields ♫I only want to be with you ♫. It was one of the DCUK men, telling me they had just done Josie’s and were coming to me. I could not resist asking him why? I a got a ‘How dare you’ look of daggers in return. I explained about my being told I would be the first of the day, and Josie wanting a late call. It didn’t endear me to the lad. Minutes later they returned, and after ten minutes or so of letting the door bang to each time they fetched something, one bloke came to me to say they had to go down and bring something to enable them to carry on with the job from down in the van. “That’s alright,” I said, “I’ve missed the bus anyway, so I’m stuck indoors all day, mate”. One minute later, the door slammed twice, as obviously, they left individually. They came back after, and the knocking, banging, drilling, etc. commenced. They didn’t mess about, and the job was soon reported as being done. I had to sign an electronic pad. The young chap said they have to clean-up yet. A minute later, I thanked him, and off they poddled. Then the job of my cleaning up began. I started with the kitchen. Not too bad at all! Thanks, lads.

The vent workings looked alright to me. The picture on the right is in the wet room the left one, is the old, no longer working airing cupboard.

3Wed01L

The wet room next. Had to mop up of course, as is to be expected. But finding some sort of filler mix in the sink plug hole concerned me. If this is being left in all the sinks, no wonder the water is not draining away, and the repeated doses of sink unblocker liquid is making no difference? I had carried the chair and shoe-glide back in, but that was no problem, cause I’d only have to carry them out again with doing the mopping, then back in again. No problem for me, here.

Incidentally, I had a bit of luck in the kitchen. I managed to find five of the escaped garden peas from when I was shelling them at the weekend. Haha!

I got wit some more wee-weeing and updating this blog. Went to make another mug of tea, determined it would not go cold before I’d drank it this time. Then let it go cold while I spent some time on the balcony, taking shots down in the car park areas.

3Wed01O

3Wed01pThere were not many free spaces, and not much for the emergency services to get down to Woodthorpe Court. Winchester Court, which has no such problem, and had the bus stop outside their foyer door. But I’m not jealous! Hehe!

The saddest picture I took is the most beautiful to me. The beloved Tree Copse. The unfortunate bit is that I can never again take a hobble through it again. I could cry!

3Wed01QWD 128.0.128N Got the oven warming up for the chips, and I heard something coming through the door. It was some unwanted bumf and a letter from the Cancer Screening Programme. Oh. dear! I forgot all about asking someone to call them for me when I lost the envelope. I must ask Deana if she’s in, or Julie tomorrow to call them for me. I do feel a fool, again!

I went on the Facebooking, to catch up at last. By gum, that took a few hours!

3Wed26Going to get the nosh going now.

I sliced the last of the Pork Farms pie, opened a tin of beans, sliced some tomatoes and had some of the McCain’s oven chips, which were of a particular disappointment. A good flavour, though. But I had to pick out many chips with fusarium spots in them. Nothing like the McCain’s usual quality, but not disastrous. Being frozen, I could not cut out the infected parts. So lots of chips had to be dished in the bin. Even after this, some bad ones I missed, ended up on the plate.

I ate it all and enjoyed it all the same. A flavour Rating was given, of 6/10. The evening meds were taken.  I was soon settled on the c1968, rickety-recliner, and off to sleep like a shot!

WDA 128.0.128N A noise (I think) woke me suddenly, and I had to check things out. I was in a little too much of a hurry getting out of the recliner; I lost my balance and over I went. I caught my back on the other chair on the way down to the carpet. At least I was surrounded by sturdy furniture, and getting back up was relatively easy. I checked around the flat, for fear that something had exploded, fallen over or collapsed. I found nothing. On my way to the chair, Back-Pain-Brenda kicked off, and she was more painful than I would have liked. So much so, that getting back to sleep was a no-no, I’m afraid. Well, I did eventually nod-off very late on, but the twinges kept waking me up, and the tossing and turning started Brenda off. My battle for sleep was lost really.

Heavy sigh from Inchcockski!
