Welsh: Dydd Sadwrn 22 Mehefin 2019

02:35hrs. I wok5Fri24e with a determination, rekindled, reignited, rejuvenated, to stop my ever-increasing weight the last few days! Perhaps I’d been dreaming about it, but I cannot recall for sure. I was confident that the oleogustusness of the body had shot up, (not surprising eating meal such as last nights veritable feast – photo right), as I freed the torso from the £300, c1968, ancient, grotty beige coloured rickety recliner. So sure, that I decided to weigh myself, expecting the worse.

As I was using the stick to gain my balance and get up, it became evident that the need for a wee-wee and the Porcelain Throne meant a diversion to the wet room. The damaged toe was far less bother and painful this morning, but I still tried to take care not to have toe-stubbings anymore than I could! No dancing leg, shoulder or arm, cheered me up a tad. But the hand was playing up a bit. Which did cause me some worry. As I got myself gently settled onto the Porcelain Throne. (Naturally, Hehe!) The evacuation went well, only the slightest spot of bleeding from Haemorrhoid Harold, and things were far less messy.

WD 0.0.255c Then a wash and off to the spare (junk) room to weigh my enormously elephantine wobbly body. The mystery of the disappearing scales confused me for a while. After faffling around searching, moving the three and the four-wheeled trolleys, stacks of boxes of Protection Pants, knocking over one of the metal hanger racks, and picking up the togs and replacing them, I found the scales. They were nestled in a corner, under a pile of clothes to take to the Charity Shop? I dug them out and adjusted the setting, so they were correct, and cautiously stood on them… Well, it was not a bad as I thought it would be,  but still up on the last weighing. Although lower than before the stroke, at 14st-9lb. So, the stone I’d lost had gone down to about 9-10lb, I think. So, today onwards, I must try to eat a little less, every bit uneaten must be to my advantage? Semi-Guilty-Mode adopted.

Back to the wet room, for another wee-wee, and what a wee-wee this one was! I didn’t time it, but it must have been close to a record time-wise. But it was only trickling out 6Sat01again, and stinging a bit as it did so. A new classification for this one, a DTPLWW (Dribbling-Trickling-Painful-Long-Wee-wee) Humph!

WD 0.0.255c I took a picture of the poor old stubbed-toe, not an excellent one, mind, the fingers and hands untimely started jumping and the electric-shock-like dancing at that time. Tsk!

Then, I noticed a concern that 6Sat09bothered me a smidge. It looked like the ankle ulcer was coming back. Well, it looked like it to me, I could see the colouring coming on like it did last and the first time. I could feel the same tingling sensation from it as before, just before the growth bursting out?

Fingers-crossed that I am wrong. Mind you, if I recall it rightly, that time, it took me two weeks to get to see the Doctor, who got nurse Ann to bandage it, telling me not to go back, but replace the cream and bandage myself. Made an appointment at some Health Centre, the first one that can see me and is free will be used. Four weeks later, I got a letter appointment to go to the Mary Potter Health Centre, the date was in another fortnight. So, after the leg ulcer appeared, they had like a shot, got me an appointment within two months! Hahaha! Not funny, really, is it? The ulcer had all but cleared up by the time I got there (Which was a struggle, with the clinic not having a bus service that goes near it, Huh!). Then they diagnosed the Axonotmesis and Peripheral Neurosis nerve damage, told me there was nothing they could do about it, and eventually, I will lose the use of the leg and possibly the arm and hand as well. There is no diacatholicon. I remember thanking them! I got myself side-tracked and waffled on a bit there, Sorry!

6Sat10Got the health-checks done and medications taken.

The readings looked much betterer this jolly sunshine-coming-out morning. With, Sys 120, Dia 64, Pulse 74 and Temperature at 34.9°c: Decent looking figures for once?

A bit of a red sky showing. ‘Red sky in the 6Sat06morning, Shepherds Warning’ – I checked on the weather for today on Google. Possible thunderstorms around 16:00 hrs! But not much rain until the early hours of tomorrow morning.

I got on with updating the Friday Inchcock Today. Not too hard a job, the dancing and jumping from the hands, fingers, arm and shoulder was not too bad at the moment. And with so few photographs to publish, I got it done and sent off in almost a record time.

WD 0.0.255c I had to go for a wee-wee, I was using the EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-Wee bucket) by now. They were all of the new DTPLWW (Dribbling-Trickling-Painful-Long-Wee-wee) variety, this one had a tiny bit of blood in it. I may have caught ‘something’ against the top edge, though.

I hand-washed the t-shirt and, left them soaking for a while.

I went to make a brew, and about to take a few shots out through the unwanted, dangerous, hard-to-reach and clean kitchen windows, the ones with the thick plastic light & view-blocking frames, and changed my mind. I went out on the balcony to take a few shots of the Sunday morning views without a single tellurian in sight.

WD 0.0.255c I closed the windows without an injury. It was when I was gathering the walking stick to come back into the flat, that it dawned on me, that I had taken these photographicalisations… with no clothes on underneath the open dressing gown! Coy-embarrassment Mode Engaged! Thank heavens there were no people around! Phew and faugh! I just pray there were no photographers out there, laughing!

WD 0.0.255c I made up a template and got on with today’s creation. The fingers were now getting worse. They were so bad that I tried the ‘Talking to them’, as proposed by Sonia and Caroline. Amazingly it seemed to work, or perhaps they were ready to ease off? No telling, really. But they soon started again, and I swore at them… then again, I usually do this on bad sessions, Humph!

WD 0.0.255c I needed another wee-wee, and the bucket was so full, I decided to take it for emptying and being disinfected. And, damn-well stubbed my toe en route to the wet room! Argh and Asdfghjkl!

This led to a real shocker of a discovery! A fear-indu6Sat08cing moment! Oh, Gawd-blimey, yes!

WD 0.0.255c

Evil ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles!

As I passed the corner stand, I noticed how dusty that my Auntie Kath’s old Snoopy-type ‘Porcelain Peter’ ornament dog had gotten.

I immediately collected him to clean and took him into the kitchen, placing him in the bowl and filling it with hot soapy water

The will-power sank – they are back, I lamented to myself, adding some naughty words in frustration!

After the initial shock, I found that only one of the weevils was alive?

They all came from inside the pottery. I returned to investigate around the corner shelf stand. But could see no more of the cursed Evil ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles EIBWBBBs. I’m all confused now! They felt fresh, not dried out, but all but one that came out in the water were dead?

I can’t remember what time of year they started to wake up in 2018. I pray that they do not start over with their invasion again. Oh, Dangwangles! I checked to see that I had plenty of the bug-killer spray in stock, which thankfully, I had! Mind you, the side-effects of that spray might have helped give me the stroke? I’m even more confused now!

WD 0.0.255c I made another brew, and the ear-holes were itching, and I decided to put some olive oil in them. I was scratching a little, and the blighted fingers started to jump and dance about, and I cut the ear lip with the fingernail! Is it worth carrying on? Hehehe!

I cleaned up and got back to the computer with the mug of tea, and started this blog writing. Eventually getting up to here.

Then I went on the WordPress Reader. Only 08:00hrs now, not having to do Josie’s cheesy potato meal has saved me some hours today, but of course it will cost me some tomorrow. But I was disappointed in the lateness of being adviced of the change of day, but the gal didn’t know her family were going to invite her on the trip to some grand mansion. (blown if I can remember the name of it now. I’m not surprised, though! Haha!

I went to replace the mug of tea that I’d let go cold.

WD 0.0.255c I’d left the damned hot water tap (faucet) running. It had, of course, gone cold. So now, I had eight hours to go before any hot water was available. A showerless stinking day! I pondered over what I could cook for the meal, that would not need a lot of cleaning. I decided that some battered sausages could be oven baked in a foil dish and some baked beans in a saucepan that could be left in soak afterwards, in a kettle of boiled water. So I set about opening (ring-pull) a can of beans… I dropped the ring-pull, bent down leaning on the stick and side of the sink to pick it up… and the flaming arm and shoulders went into one of their dance routines. Which meant I spilt the beans on the floor!

WD 0.0.255c It gets better: I got down to clean up the mess, and struggling up, in what I thought was a careful manner, I clouted the back of my head on the shelf edge!

Good God, it’s not 10:00hrs yet, and I am already a physical and nervous wreck! Lost the scales! Then been talking to my fingers, hand, arm and shoulder! Stubbed my poor toe again! Having a new variety of DTPLWWs (Dribbling-Trickling-Painful-Long-Wee-wees) to contend with. Discovered another leg ulcer coming up! Suffered the Peripheral Neurosis inspired results of dancing fingers, hand, arm, leg and shoulder! I’ve done involuntary flashing while photographicalisationing from the balcony! Cut my ear hole! Discovered invading cursed Evil ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles. Spilt half a can of baked beans on the floor! Clouted my head on the kitchen drainer!  Ran the hot water away! And, there is still so long left for more cockups and disasters!

WD 0.0.255c And now, Horrible Herbert above has started his knocking and banging about!

And what help does one get? “You must be more careful!” Phwert! The Axonotmesis and Peripheral Neurosis dancing right-limbs at any time, the Stroke-induced loss of balance going. The untreated for months toes and feet don’t exactly help.

And Horrible Herbert above is still knocking and banging about! But this is acceptable, the Generalfeldmarschalless Housing Patch Manager/ Catwalk Model, Angela Gould says so! Which it is, of course, it’s just me getting ratty and sorry for myself over my ill-fortune today – Naughty Inchcock!

Sorry about that verbal outburst. But, things ain’t good at the moment, and there are no signs of any immediate improvement.

I made another replacement brew for another one that I let go cold. Then went on the TFZer site Facebooking. I stopped briefly to get the potatoes in the oven cooking and returned to the Facebooking for another two hours or so, then back to cheese-up the potatoes and put them back in the oven to brown off the tops.

6Sat13Some sorting of paperwork, then got the nosh served up.

I had to boil some water to leave the soaking utensils in a soak in the sink.

WD 0.0.255c I had one helluva Dizzy Dennis spell, just as got the fodder arranged on in the deep dish. Thankfully, only a short one. It’s a good job I had the stick with 6Sat14me at the time.

The meal was as disappointing a one as I’ve ever made. Shame! The sausages were tasteless and fatty, the beans were overcooked and just as insipid and unappetising as the rest of the meal. I even made a mess of the cheesy potatoes! They were poorly mixed and lumpy! Shame-Mode-Engaged! Flavour rating was given, of only 4/10! Most of it was thrown away, and naughty nibbles were eaten as a substitute!

The clearing up and cleaning afterwards was fine, for the hot water had come back on, which helped de-miserablise the situation somewhat!

I had hoped to watch the two ladies football matches. The Germany v Nigeria, then the Netherlands v Australia. The first match was a cracker. The Australia (who I wanted to win) v Netherlands match, was on too late for me to stay awake!

When I got to sleep, dreams made it a restless night. Hey-Ho!

Inchcock Today – Wed 12 June 2019: Bestest trip to town in ages!

Croatian: Srijeda 12. Lipnja 2019

02:35hrs. Woke, remembering the Stroke Aid visitors Caroline and Sophia, Morrison’s delivery to arrive twixt 06:30>07:30hrs, and the Blood Taking Nurse all to sort out this morning. Freed my bulbous-body from the £300 second-hand, c1968, grotty-beige coloured, rickety recliner, then, off I went for a wee-wee. Taking care to avoid any more of the painful toe stubbing en route!

I must say the colouration was very bright this morning on the toe inspection picture. But I had to use a flat board to hold the camera steady, as the right hand, fingers, and arm were in a full electricity inspired dancing mood.

To the kitchen to do the health checks next3Wed01. The readings seemed excellent to me. At, Sia 122, Dia 64, pulse 83 and temperature 34.8°c.

Got the medications out to take later, and placed them near the computer, so I do not forget to take them. (I hope!)

I got the computer on, to get started and finish off the updating of the Tuesday blog.

3Wed03I noticed the Cancer Screening kit laying near the sock-glide as a reminder to me.

Maybe today, a Porcelain Throne Evacuation might come. I feel like one is on the way, so I’ll attend to taking the samples first thing when I get in the wet room.

Yesterday, there were none at all? Mmm!

WD51.51.0 deepOlive Working on the keyboard today was a nightmare. The flaming right side fingers, hand, and arm were pretty consistent with their electrified jumping and dancing about. Making doing the post update, a long, frustrating session. Nevermind! I did get it done eventually.

3Wed05Then caught up on the WordPress Reader, and TFZer Facebooking.

Time to get the ablutions tended to, I hope the shaking doesn’t cause problems with my taking the samples, that could be really embarrassing!

Took the photo on the right of the rain, from the balcony windows.

Back in a while, I’m off to the wet room, hopefully, for Sample-Taking and to get the ablutions done and sorted. Too early for a shower, though.

3Wed04WD51.51.0 deepOlive Well, what a comical fumble about! I was advised to ‘catch’ any evacuated material, in a disposable container, to take the two samples from it. Print my name (Already done) and date in the sleeve cover, seal it up, and ready the next lot for tomorrow’s sampling. Of course, everything was as solid as a rock, and despite my best efforts, nothing could be moved! Not even any wind escaped!

So, I gave up and got an extended stand-up scrubbing, shaved, teggies, and got ready to adorn my clothing.

WD-A 51.51.0 d olive I achieved using the sock-glide without any toe stubbing the hand/leg shakes. But I did take a little skin off of a finger knuckle on the metal and rubber holding grip. I’m not sure why I tried the glide with this small pair of socks made from Bamboo. I considered putting on the Ankle-Support, but the toe was stinging as it was, without the blood flow being cut. I battled my aboulia, hesitatingly, hummed and faffled about, should I, shouldn’t I, for ages. In the end, I decided to leave the decision making until later. Humph!

Back to the computer, and did some Coreldraw work, and edited this blog.

The intercom rang and flashed, it was the Morrison delivery. I got to the phone as quick as I could, for the toe seemed to be getting more painful. I buzzed him in and… The damned right hand burst into one of its involuntary Axonotmesis inspired shakes and twitching session, and I dropped the phone…

The coil wire allowed the phone to fall straight down, as the shaking hand made me drop the handset, and guess what?

3Wed05a1aWD-A 51.51.0 d olive It was just long enough for the receiver to reach far enough for it to land on, and clout my already suffering and unlucky poor stubbed toe!

I took a photo of the perilously bad-luck ridden for me, intercom phone, with the flex in its “Watch-Out-Inchcock – pain on the way” position. Tsk! Showing how well, nay, perfectly, that it was set-up, the optimum length of flex available for reaching, falling on, bashing, bruising further, and clouting any unsuspecting stubbed toes that might foolishly be joined to the end some fools foot, that is in the vicinity or using the intercom. Hahaha!

3Wed001A few words of a naughty variety were uttered underneath my breath. Like, ‘Oh fancy that!’ ‘Well, blow me down! and ‘Arghh!’ Hehe!

The Morrison chap arrived up at the flat and placed the bags in the hallway. I could not resist telling him of my Accifauxpas with the phone. He was not impressed, but he m3Wed06anaged a half-smile. I thanked him, and off he shot.

Once again, I had forgotten about returning the carrier bags that should have been recovered from the previous order delivered. Ah, well! Worse things happen at sea!

Yet, still, my IQ told me things would improve later?

3Wed08I put the purchases away. I had overdone it again, and, or, made more cock-ups doing the order in the first place.

I’d ordered six pots of Limoncello desert, the most significant bag of chips (Fries) available, a ready meal (that I thought about, but think I changed my mind but didn’t, Hehe!) amongst the many items bought that were not needed! I even got some more of the baked beans and vegetable sausages. I must stop getting back into this bad habit!

I was so pleased when Caroline arrived at the flat. All business to start with, a firm and determined: “Are we going out on the bus today, we must do! No messing about, after a little natter, the gal started to get the four-wheeled trolley out ready for me to rush things along. I was having trouble keeping up with things. And when it came to us going out, I was all confused whether I had left lights on, heaters, stove, faucets, etc.

We had an enjoyable gossip as we walked along Chestnut Way to the new bus stop. At the bus stop, there were many Winchester Court folk, but a scarcity of Woodthorpe ones? But a chat here an there was had. On the bus to town, talking was difficult, but Caroline and I managed some. It was decided while being monitored by Caroline, I’d go to the pound shop, for toothpaste, drain-cleaner, and Pork pies if they had any in. Then to the Victoria Market for a pair of trousers, and get the bus back so that Caroline was not out too long. That was the plan!

We dropped off the bus on Upper Parliament Street and walked in the light drizzle to the Poundland store. I moved as fast as I could around the store, to impress Caroline ♥. First I got the drain cleaner, the into the fridge but no Pork Farms large pies on sale, the into the toothpaste, and what a mind-blowing selection they had! I usually use the Colgate gel type. Today they had many different brands on sale. I ended up getting one that was smaller, 75g compared to the 100g normal one. Maxfresh, with intense foam! I thought I’d try it out.

3Wed12aaOn the way to the self-serve checkouts, I spotted they had some cans of Churchfield Chilli Con Carne, I bought a couple to try.

This little lot filled the pathetic storage box come seat, on the four-wheeled trolley to capacity.

We walked over the road into Boots, through to the Victoria Centre. Caroline pointed out the lifts, and we used it to get up to the Market level. As we walked through the fruit & Veg market. I said I’d look to see, but thought it was too early, for any fresh garden peas. Caroline said she had seen some in Tesco earlier.

WD51.51.0 deepOlive That was it, the thought of getting trousers was abandoned, and we made out way out to the lift and down to the ground floor, and walked to Tesco, in my search for the garden peas! I’d have a look for some Pork Knuckle at the same time. Miserable at having found neither, we walked back onto Upper Parliament Street. Where I took a couple of pictures of the traffic lights opposite Clinton Street.

3Wed11

The Nottinghamian’s, as usual wandering across the (Only one fatal accident at these lights so far this year) pelican lights, against the red light. Bless em!

4Thu06

Not so bad, really, I’m just glad I don’t have to use the trolley or stick in Tokyo! Hehehe!

We made our way to the L9 bus stop and caught it back to the flats.

As we got off, farewells and Caroline shot off to her car, having spent too long looking after me, on to her next mission of the day.

As I began the walk down Chestnut Way, the bus turned at the new traffic island, to pick up passengers at the outward bound request stop shelter.

3Wed11a

Winwood Heights was looking more like it is meant to now. But we have until around November until everything is in place and sorted.

WD51.51.0 deepOlive I got in the apartment, and the feet, ankle, knees, stubbed toe, feet, and Anne Gyna were all giving me bother. Tired and weary feeling to, poor old chap! I got the purchases put away. Stripped off and adorned the dressing gown and slippers.

3Wed12bI decided on the Chilli-Con-Carne and frankfurters for the meal, with some of the chips from the gigantic bag morning. Huh!

I liked the Chilly-Con-Carne. It was not too hot for me. The franks tasted fine, but the substituted or wrongly ordered chips were a disappointment. Had some Milk Loaf to soak up the tasty fluids. A limoncello to follow. A Flavour rating of 7/10, despite the crap chips.

I had a search for the missing return envelops again, no luck!

All I did, apart from the odd wee-wee after doing the pots, was watch TV for ten-minute, nod-off, wake up fifteen-minutes later, nod-off. Wake up…

Inchcock Today – Thurs 6 June 2019: Frustrating day, ending off badly mind-wise. Oy Vey!

2019 6 June

2019 June 6

Thursday 6th June 2019

Croatian: Četvrtak, 6 Lipnja 2019

04:40hrs. After what must have been six hours kip, I woke, late, but gently this time – with a clear memory of having had a short dream about one of my fears – water, and swimming (That’s two innit? Hehe!).

WD153.51.0 I wrote down some notes, but there was not much to remember, apart from the changing emotions. It was night time, and people were encouraging me to swim over the river Trent with them. I had heavy clothing on, but none of it mattered at the time, because I really did believe that I had lost my phobia and learnt to swim? I joined a queue of people, waiting for my turn to get into the water… With seconds all the same people, were on a beach, nighttime again, with intentions to swim the channel! This, I was not prepared for, and started to panic and find ways of not going… I recall sitting on the stone wall with my feet dangling in the water… I’m pretty sure this was the time I woke up, needing a wee-wee.

WD153.51.0 The extraction of my gothopotamus frame and body from the £300, second-hand, c1968, gungy-beige, rickety recliner, was a little more unpleasant than of the last two mornings. Also caused the uttering of a few words that were encouraged by the pain of my stumping the already painful toe against the legs of the computer chair; descriptive words, like ‘Oh, blow it! ‘Fancy that!’ and ‘Oh dear! (Loosely). Hehehe! The wee-wee was of the LHBLWWs (Long Hosepipe-Blasting like Wee-wee) mode. I’ve not had one of these for a while. The EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-wee bucket) was well-filled, yet I cannot recall using it during the night?

3Wed28I sat and took a photo of the pins. Not so blotchy today, but a well-fluid-filled pair of limbs, I’ve got.

Physio Charlene is due in today around 08:30hrs, as is the Morrison delivery. I was not keen on doing the exercises, but they need to be done. And, I hope I’ve got this week’s Morrison order, right.

On an impulse, no reason really, unless maybe the sky appealed, I took some photographicalistions, from inside the unwanted, light and view-blocking, impossible to clean, knuckle tearing openings on the windows, balcony.

4Thu06

I took the morning medications and did the health checks. Sys 88, Dia 65, Pulse 60 and temperature 35.3°c.

I made a brew and no hand washing to be done, I did it last night, then got on with finishing the Wednesday blog. The effort and irritation varied, as did the electrified finger jumping. Eventually, I got it done. Then, I stopped to get the ablutions tended to.

WD153.51.0 During which, I stubbed the poorly toe, again, against the WC riser-leg! More unpleasant and curse words were muttered! The stubbed-toe pains became quatridual today. And not a lot easier yet. But nevermind, pain is something I am good at coping with, being accustomed to it. Although this one, tried me further than some of the more serious stuff, has.

4Thu07As I was leaving the wet room, the intercom rang out, the Morrison chap was early, but this was nae bother.

He took the bags through to the kitchen for me and reminded me about the carriers to return, too. I set about the task of getting the rather larger than usual delivery of food stored away. Ending up with a chocker-block filled fridge and freezer, again.

4Thu08

The baked beans & vegetarian sausage, are on offer at 40p, down from 75p. I tried one last week, and they were a lovely flavour, so I got some more in. Which helped pay for the 25% Hot Balsamic Vinegar (Hot, as to be used in cooking). Now, they’ve gone up to £3 a small bottle.

4Thu08aWD153.51.0 Unloading, I did realise I had made a faux-pas, yet again this week. I was under the impression I had ordered a single ready-cooked meal, a beef hotpot, of 300gr – But no, that life would be too simple and things go right? I ended up with a £5, mind you, it was reduced on offer, Minced Beef hotpot, of 600gms! Humph! Clot!

My hand on the box and the milk loaf shows how large it was. It wouldn’t even fit in the fridge or freezer! I did feel a fool!

Minutes later, after getting everything sorted, Nurse Charlene arrived to do some physio aerobaticalisationing with me. But after a few of the movement, she realised how painful it was for me with the toe and Arthur Itis playing the knees up too, she put a stop to the exercises. We had a good natter, though. She told me if I could manage it, to get a steady walkout done today. I thanked her, and off she went.

So, a bit of a rush about, but I got things ready and took two bags to the chute on the way out, and two jars for the recycle bin. I also took the gigantic beef hotpot down with me. Then down to catch the bus. I handed the food in at the  Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights Flats, and Administration shed for the Generalleutnantess Wardens Temporary HQ, Sarcasm & Insult distribution area, Tenants Socialisation Shed. Rumourmongering Clinic. Telling Inchcock off Zone, Things like crockery and pottery to be stolen from, shed. For the catwalk models and wardens, to share for a meal, as a bit of a treat for them. At least my cock-up came in for a bit of good.

4Thu09At the bus stop, Mary and Pete shared a chinwag with me. Caught the bus into Arnold, and had I had a bit of a shoppers delight visit.

Firstly into the Wilko store. With the daily hand-washing, I needed some more of the Y-Lang scented Fabric softener and the washing granules. Some liquid soapflakes, as well. Then out into fresh air and walked along to Front Street and the cheapo shop, Savers. They had some economically priced lemon fresh-air spray cans at 99p, so I got a couple, a 1ltre bleach at 99p, and a Neutrodol spray, at 99p. But of course, I wasn’t really thinking, was I?

WD153.51.0 When I paid for the stuff, the chap who served me had the job of fitting it all in extra little back-bag I’d taken, as the trolleys farting small bag was full of stuff from Wilko that I’d had bought earlier on. Huh! Fool! Eizel!

To make things worse, what a mug that I am, I came out and walked into the Asda store, to get some potatoes for the cheesy-spuds at the weekend, for Josie. Me? Gone into sop and buy one thing? Sadly; No Chance! I came out with, a bag of 6 packs of cheesy curls, the potatoes as needed, tomatoes, curried beans and a DVD! But a great one!

4Thu10 I paid at the self-serve tills.

WD153.51.0 And what a pickle I got into! I had to take everything out of the shoulder pack, most things from the trolley bag, and repack everything to make room for the Asda stuff!

The chap behind, despite his tut-tutting, and gruff-heavy-breathing, resisted saying anything 4Thu11to me, bless him! A big chap too. Ahem!

I was walking up the hill into the car park on the way to the bus stop, and a chap shot by me and said; “It gets steeper every time you walk up it, dunnit!” And shot off. Obviously, I must have been struggling more than usual, then? Hahaha! A lady passed me by, and said, “Never mind midduck, it’ll all soon be over! Gave me a lovely smile, winked, and walked on? Mmm!

4Thu12At the top of the pathway, I had to take a shot of this lovely wildflower. It looked so fresh and beautiful to me.

There was a spider,  which I spent ages and many failed tries to picture, but I was so small an I was unable to get a clear shot of it. I was a tad disappointed with myself at this failure!

4Thu13Through the car park to the bus stop shelter. There were not many free parking spaces available this Friday.

I noticed that many folks were making the best of the sunshine and were scantily dressed. And there was little tubby old me, with more clothes on, than even I  needed. The sweat poured out of my pores as I made my way over the park to the roadway.4Thu13aa

I took a photo of the Asda petrol station across the road from the bus stop. I had a ten-minute wait for the bus, and only three cars called for petrol?

Still, they can’t do a runner without paying at this station. It’s card only payments. Hehe!

I caught the bus, and in Sherwood, several residents got on. Which was great, cause it enabled me to have a natter with them on the way up the hill to the flats. About nine of us got off the bus, and the other eight scattered with alacrity and speed? WC requirements, most likely?

The pins, toe and right knee were all giving me some bother on the hobble along Chestnut Way to the block of flats.

4Thu16But, once in the foyer, May and Gaynor who were sat there, let me have a gossip and laugh with them. Which was super!

They both let me take their photographs too!

Gaynor was looking rather attractive today, mind you, she usually does to me.

4Thu14What a pose May gave me for her photo!

The bestest natter and fun since I got back to the flat after toe Stroke!

I got upstairs and had another wee-wee, of the SWWW (Short-weak-wee-wee) variety.

WD153.51.0 Then, a cuppa and got on with updating this post. It took many hours I’m afraid. The fingers kept jumping, and even the leg had a few goes at involuntarily doing the Hokey Cockey! But luckily, up to now, it has been each time I was sat down, so, no Accifauxpas! Phew!

4Thu27I got the dinner going and took the evening medications.

The meal: Beef pasty, chips, salad (tomatoes, lettuce, cucumber, yellow peppers), chips, milk bread and an apple. A limoncello dessert to follow.

I gobbled it all up and enjoyed it. A flavour rating of 6/10 granted to it.

4Thu17WD153.51.0 I got the new DVD on to watch… kept falling asleep and rewinding, got fed up with doing it, and turned it off. I put the TV on, fell asleep and kept waking up and missing things.

Gave-up again, and decided to get my head down.

WD153.51.0 Woke up in need of a UWTWW Unwilling-Weak-Trickle-Wee-Wee.

WD153.51.0 Head down again, and the landline light flashed. By the time I had struggled out of the recliner, it had stopped.

Head back down again.

The brain started to fill with the dreaded, past depravedednesses committed, wrong decisions, mistakes etc. and sleep did not return for hours. I stewed in self-made misery!

When sleep came properly, it was filled with unpleasant dreams.

I ought to publish this bit, titled; “The madman’s route to madness!” Hehehe! I blame the stroke!

TTFNski.

Inchcock Today – Wed 5 June 2019: The day slowly got my poor mind, into the depth of confusion. Nowt new there, then! Tsk!

Wednesday 5th June 2019

Welsh: Dydd: Mercher 5ed Mehefin 2019

23:20hrs: I sprang awake, in grave need of a wee-wee. No time to faffle-about or for my aboulomania! I freed myself from the £300 second-hand, c1968, gungy-beige, tatty, beloved, rickey rusty recliner and gained my balance; taking care not to do any more toe stubbing! As I made my way to the EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-wee Bucket),  the pain from the previously nastily-stubbed toe seemed a lot less, But then, I had not been wearing the Ankle Support, or shoes for over a day?

WD 0.0.0a By the time I’d covered the few feet to get to the bucket and relieve myself of the SNSWW (Short-No-Sensation-Wee-Wee), I had changed my mind about the stubbed-toe-pain. It is 3Wed01astill stinging, now I had been standing and walking on the plates again! Tsk!

I examined the damaged digit, and took a photo of it, using the new Canon camera.

Even the left hand was a bit shaky this morning. Humph! The toe seemed to be getting less swollen, fingers crossed.

3Wed001The pins (legs) appeared to have lost some water retention. They looked considerably less warped and misshaped, too. Also, I think a little less anaemic looking (Or maybe that was the lighting in the front room?).

WD 0.0.0a Some new lumps and papsules were coming through. I couldn’t see any new growths, spots or blotches, though. Good!

On to CorelDraw, to do the political fun and Thoughts graphics for the next two days.

WD 0.0.0a I then got the kettle on for a brew of the Glengettie tea and did the health checks. Sys 166, Dia 88, Pulse (still low I think?) 54, and the temperature was at 35.5°c.

3Wed03Next, I made a brew, then started on updating the Tuesday blog for publication. This was done with reasonable alacrity, thanks to the ring and fingers end temporarily losing their electric-like jumping and dancing every time they come into contact with anything hard, like the keyboard buttons. Nice to do some work without the frustration of this, peripheral neurology ailment. Or, as the medical centre called it, ‘One of your too-many medical issues, you have’ when they refused to tend to my feet and nails, on Monday. That reminds me, if I have not done the calendar wrong again, and Caroline comes today, I must remember to inform her that the doctor told the Age UK lady when she rang the surgery, in an effort to get help for me; She (The Doctor) would either phone me or call on me this afternoon. Surprised me that did, she’s never been to the old house of new flat before? And, of course, there has been no contact made.

The wee-wees were steady enough this morning, only four in three hours.

Around 02:30hrs, I took the medications, forgetting how early it was. Schmuck! Grumph! Twit!

I got the t-shirt washed, wrung and hung to dry while I was doing other things.

3Wed04Then, I went on Facebook to add some photos I’ve not had time to do and catch up on my beloved TFZer Facebooking.

Made another brew, and got ready for the ablutions at 07:00hrs(ish).

Took a shot of the odd-looking windy morning, from the unwanted, light & view-blocking new kitchen windows. And off to the wet room for a wee-wee.

I got on with yesterday’s post’s Pinterest photo adding.

Then, I decided; yes, it has been known for me to make decisions in the past. Usually wrong the ones, mind. But still. Along with my lethologica, this with my famous aboulomania (pathological indecisiveness), is a relatively new hindrance, that has joined the labyrinth of ailments recently. But decide (rightly or wrongly) I did, to get the t-shirt I’d washed earlier wash on the flat-airer, and get the other, brown bath towel washed. Then left it to start drying, and got the ablutions done.

WD 0.0.0a Not one of the best shower sessions, due to the toe being caught a few times. However, the electric-finger-ends seemed less bothersome. And the toe, having put on some socks, was stinging somewhat, wait until I try to put the shoes on! Oy Vey!

WD 0.0.0a The INR Blood nurse called a different one this time. So, I assumed that I made an error (Don’t laugh! Haha!) in putting Caroline down for a visit. Tsk!

I got the shoes on, (Argh! The toe!) dressed, the three-wheeler trolley, and shot out to catch the bus into Arnold.

WD 0.0.0a Getting ready to go my way, I could not find the new camera. Stroke Support worker and cat-walk model, Caroline arrived. So, I had made a cock-up on the calendar. A bit rushed this morning, and she had to move fast. She decided there was nothing she could do for me and cancelled the next visit. The Thursday next visit, which I felt sadly, might be the last one, with Sonia 3Wed05a1(or Sophie) might go ahead, if it does, we will try out the four-wheeled trolley on a bus trip.

No big smile from Caroline when I asked to take her photograph with the three-wheeled trolley, today, on our way to her car.

They are busy gals, doing a marvellous job though. I was fixated with finding the camera, much to Caroline’s annoyance, quite rightly too. I decided as I walked her to her car, to go up to Aldi and get some sourdough bread. But by the time we had reached her vehicle, the right toe was stinging too bad for a walk that far. I said my farewells to Caroline, and returned morosely, slowly, and limpingly to flat.

3Wed05a1aI thought on the walk back; I knew it was inevitable, the ending of the visits, but sadness still overcame me.

In the flats to the foyer, no residents about at all, but there were some unhappy looking floor fitter chappies, working on the cut-through to the new Extra-care units, Windwood Heights, and the new offices for the Nottingham City Homes, catwalk models and Generaloberstesses Wardens.

I felt a tad lost, confused, sad and verklempt for some reason or reasons when I got in the apartment.

3Wed27I worked on some CorelDraw graphic making for a while. But the mind was stewing again, fretting over my actions, choices etc. I soon gave up through lack of concentration and made an early meal.

WD 0.0.0a I think it was a case of comfort eating, but I gulped it all down, and then I ate a bag of Marmite crisps and a few sweeties. Yet I enjoyed it?

Why I felt so down, suddenly was a mystery. Depression, I suppose, but why?

I got washed and down in the £300 second-hand recliner to watch a ‘Frost’ episode on the TV. I fell asleep, which was a surprise to me.

WD 0.0.0a I was woken by the mobile ringing and shaking, which without any hearing aids, also surprised me a bit that I heard it? But by the time I had stirred and grabbed at the mobile, dropped it, retrieved it, and failing twice to get the thing answered as it would work for me, it was too late and whoever it was (number withheld), had rang off, or more likely this stupid phone had sent them through to the message thingy.

Mega-fed-up now. It might have been the doctor about the feet or legs? I feel that my mind insisted of it own accord, that I fall asleep again. Mercifully, removing some worrying anguish and self-pitying thoughts that were gathering in my bonce at the time.

I remember reading about Mental Dysmorphic Disorder a long time ago. I might look it up tomorrow, or not.

Sorry, I suddenly feel so low, can ‘t help it this time.

Cheers.

Inchcock Today – Fri 31 May 2019: To the City Centre. Bought a new camera, but the setting-up confused me. So, nothing new there then. Hehe!

Turkish: 31 Mayıs 2019 Cuma

03:15hrs. I woke with parts of a dream I’d been having, clearly lodged in my head. I scrawled down on the notepad what I remembered. No mind-stewing this morning, straight out of the uncomfortable, c1968, second-hand, £300, grotty-spotty-beige coloured recliner, in record time, and tottered carefully to avoid any hemming and hawing by stubbing any toes, to the EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-wee Bucket). Again, it was in the style of an LHBLWWs (Long Hosepipe-Blasting like Wee-wee). Now back to its natural colouring and pong, I’m glad to say. I assume that the increase in velocity was due to the Furesomide doing its job.

Got the health checks done, Dia 85, Sys 76, Pulse 89 and temperature 35.7°c, medications taken, made a brew and got on the computer on. And guess what again…

W Court

1Mon02I consulted the scribbled notes about the dream. Oh, dear, much of it not readable. Tsk! However, for once, some memories did stay with me. I kept going to the hospital to have bits removed. It started with the odd finger and toe. Then an arm went. Then an eye. Then a testicle. Later both legs were amputated at the same time. I kept asking why, but I could not get an answer, other than you’ll have to ask your doctor. But this became impossible when they decapitated me. Then sent me home without the head. The last thing I recall was being in a wheelchair and trying to find a bus stop, wondering why they had not given me a new bonce. Hehehe!

I got the blog updated for yesterday and sent it off to WordPress. Being up late on the computer this morning (two-hours sleep max, Humph!), there was not a lot needed doing, and the hands and fingers were not shaking. As a departure from the usual, speedy progress was made. And, only one wee-wee was taken while doing the post. But, it was an LHBLWW.

As I was putting on the kettle

5Fri002

WD0.51.102 Golly, the pins looked a bit. Er, what are the words? Manky? Papsules blotches and new spider veins were predominant. But the fluid retention is not so bad, I think. Hey-ho!

Got the things (clothes) readied for after the ablutions, in a while.

I’ll use the three-wheeler trolley guide today. Going on the bus to town. I have to get a new camera, the Lumix has just about had it. It’s pot luck with it now I’ve had the shakes and dropped it a few times. Humph!

The wash and brush-up went well, despite several interruptions for a wee-wee.

WD0.51.102 5Fri003aI took off the dressing from yesterday’s blood taking, and immediately started scratching at the itching. Haha!

I got dressed and ou with the trolley, then realised I had not got my hat on, so nipped back for it. I returned to the lift lobby to find that two people were showing great interest in the contents of the three-wheeler-guide, I’d left in the lift lobby. No idea who they were. Mmm? I took the contents of the trolley, black rubbish bags to the 5Fri004waste chute as the man and woman disappeared down in the lift, and I followed them down and outside, to take my empty sauce bottles to the recycling bin. Well, someone has to put some non-alcoholic glass in the bin. It looked like I was the only one who had. Hehehe!

But I’m not jealous of those who can still afford to be alcoholics and drink heavily and are fit enough… Oh, no! No!

5Fri005An absolutely fine morning out there. I took a photo of Winwood and Winchester Courts on the way to the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights, Hauptbereitschaftsleiteress and catwalk Warden’s Temporary HQ. Sarcasm & Insult distribution area. Tenants Socialisationistical Meeting Shed. Telling Inchcock off Zone. Where things like crockery and pottery get stolen from, Rumourmongering Clinic, and somewhere to rest while waiting for the bus, Portakabin.

5Fri006Where I enjoyed a chinwag with Obersturmführeress Warden Deana, and Sturmbannführeress Warden Julie, Angela, Doreen, Mary, Christine, Roy and Malcolm for a bit while we waited for the bus. I handed out all of the nibbles I had with me, bar two. I was content like I haven’t been for months.

More nattering on the bus to town was enjoyed. I got off on Upper Parliament Street and limped 5Fri007bmy way to Jessops camera store on Clumber Street.

The staff didn’t seem too interested in me, as I perused their ever pricier than ever selection of photographic equipment. Eventually, I asked a young lady for help, and she fetched a young man to tend to me. A waste of time, but I explained my physical difficulties and problems to him, and got back an instant, “Well if you want a higher shake 5Fri013camera or anything above 30x optical, you will get no better, in fact probably find it a more bothersome time trying to use it.

Then he spent a while explaining his reasoning. But, it left me behind. After my annoying him further by asking about various cameras, he sold me a 40x Canon Powershot SX740 HS camera.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Confused, and £349 lighter, I left the shop and out onto Clumber Street. I took a photo with the old Lumix both up and down the street. Well, I did all of the pictures on this page, bar the first one when I got home, from the unwanted and disliked kitchen window. I think they catch the spirit of the Nottinghamians. Many of them believed the weather forecast for strong sunshine and hot temperatures for this morning and wearing very little. Hehehe! Many of the Lumix efforts were either unusable due to the poor lighting in the photos, or they didn’t go on the SD card at all? The Lumix has got to 5Fri08go! At least the new camera is the same size as the Lumix, and a great deal weightier, so that might be a good thing… or not?

I meandered to Long Row, and strolled along limpingly to the Slab Square, the corner of Queen-King Street.

The Slab Square had some entertainments on it, but I did not have a lot of time to spare before the L9 5Fri08ahome was due at the top of Queen Street.

So I took a few shots ad nauseum, no that’s not right! Ad-hoc? Unconcentratiously?  Without deliberating? Tsk!

My lethologica can be absolutely lethiferous to my self-confidence! Quickly, anyway. Ahem!

5Fri09A last zoomed-in shot across the Council House towards Exchange Walk that didn’t come out half-bad, as it happens. It shows one of the famous Nottingham City Council House stone lions. Between 1927 and 1929, local man, Joseph Else was put in charge of all carvings on the new design for Nottingham Council House, including the lions, the frieze on the arch of the building and twenty-one other figures all displaying arts and public services. I just thought he ought to be remembered.

Then up to the bus stop. Where Shirley (I think that’s her name, it might be Elsie), from the flats, was waiting, and we had a natter while waiting for the late arriving bus, which soon caught up with the schedule, though.

5Fri11I got in the apartment, and the wee-wees started. Amazingly none bothered me while I was out in town? Amazing!

I  took a photo with the new camera while there was some battery-life in it. I can’t say I was over impressed with the resulting.

I tried to set the date on it, don’t know if I got it right, yet, as the battery had to come out to go in the 5Fri10charger to be boosted?

I am not happy with the mechanics of this new machine. The buttons and switches were a lot fiddlier than the old Lumix are. It weighs an awful lot more, too. Although that might not be a bad thing? The SD card goes in differently. The other way around to all the cameras I’ve had before.

It took me half an hour to thread the hand cord through. And the battery has to come out for charging? Ah well, I might get used to it eventually.

5Fri22Got the oven on to do some chips for the nosh.

The eyes too big again. I must stop making such massive meals! Feel-a-Fool Mode Engaged!

Tired out as I felt, sleep again denied me any rest. It took me hours to get to sleep. I tried the usual reading a book. Thinking of good things from my past (That was difficult, Haha!). Pulling the bob-cap over my eyes. Even put the TV on. But all in vain!

Inchcock Today – Sat 25 May 2019: An irritating, omnium-gatherum ridden day, and sleep deprived night!

May 25

2019 May 25

Saturday 25th May 2019

Icelandic: Laugardaginn 25 Maí 2019

WD 0.0.50 W 03:30hrs. What a horrible, macabre, perturbing and disturbing night’s effort at sleeping. (I might think of more words to add to this list later, like atrocious, dreadful, direful, hideous, contemptible, execrable, lousy, frustrating, heinous, laughable, doleful, third-rate, rebarbative… depictive words like that! Oy Vey and Pickled Walnuts!

I only got about an hour in, then woke in need of the Porcelain Throne. Or at least I thought I required the Porcelain Throne. An almost nippy exit from the £300, c1968, grotty-beige coloured rickety, ramshackle recliner, the feet,, and toes were giving me bother once I stood up, and off to the wet room. Much wind and no movement, despite great painful efforts made, and my continuing to take the Senna tablets? While I sat there a long time, failing to prompt any activity from the innards, the causes of my lack of kip flowed monositantly and incessantly into the brain. Of course, as to be expected, there were no understanding or solutions found on my behalf, of why, or what can be done to solve this relatively new conundrum?

By the I capitulated and gave up all hope of internal movements, I was not interested in sleep anymore. In fact, it was a struggle to find anything to be involved in. Then I remembered it was Saturday, the Cheesy potato meal for Josie. This cheered me up a little.

WD 0.0.50 W A wee-wee of the VSSWWW (Very-Short-Sprinkly-Weak-Wee-Wee) urination classification. And then went to get the medications ready and do the Health Checks. A bit different today; Dia 154, Sys 69, Pulse 88, and temperature 54.8°. Getting the tablets out of the blister packs reminded me of Ping-Pong. Humph! The finger-ends were dancing about when they made contact with anything hard, more than ever before, and it lasted far longer too, this time. The right leg was occasionally jumping, but I’ve almost gotten used to that.

WD 0.0.50 W I wanted to make a start on Saturday… erm Friday Inchcock to get it done. There is a lot of photographs and writing to take place. The fingers slowing me down was bad enough, but then the Liberty-Global crap Virgin Internet started going so slow! Of course, its the weekend again!

Virgin (4b)

I stopped trying to use the computer, in the hopes that it will come back to its average pathetic speed soon. “In the hopes…” saying such a thing brings on a feeling of dysphoria, and an acceptance of just how stupid I really am!

I made a brew of tea and got some hand-wash clobber in the bowl with freshener and liquid soap powder6Sat07. A heavy shirt and a pair of bamboo socks. Oh, and the Ankle-Strappings.

WD 0.0.50 W I checked on the computer, and surprisingly, the Liberty-Global internet service was still hogwash and slow. So, I have to be careful without the Ankle-Support on, but at least I am not going out anywhere. Another reason for feeling low!

6Sat06So I carried on with the hand-washing, and did my best to wring them out and got them on the slow-airer flatbed, and hung some up.

Despite the Liberty-Global ramshackle pretend service being so slow, I pressed on, battling not only internet, but the electrified jumping fingers, and it was a hell of a struggle, too, I can tell yers. Humph!

Some or other I got the blog finished but was really in need of some sleep. iLife was feeling mashugana to me now!

A lot of tap-tap, nock-knocking from the flat above this morning. I hope he’s fell over and injured himself, self-stabbed with one of his screwdrivers or drills. Oh, I meant I hope he’s not fell over and hurt himself, self-stabbed with one of his screwdrivers or drills. Silly me!

WD 0.0.50 W I called to see what time Josie would like her nosh, but no answer.

I kept turning the clothes that were drying.

I went on TFZ Facebooking then WordPress Reader.

WD 0.0.50 W I called to see what time Josie would like her nosh, but no answer.

I made a start on this post. But after an hour or so, the internet became even slower.

WD 0.0.50 W I called to see what time Josie would like her nosh, Aha! She was up and answered.

We agreed 12:30 > 13:00hrs for the food to be delivered.

I took some photographs from the view-blocking, thick-framed, multi-glass-panes cleaning needed new Kitchen window, that I have to get on a step ladder in the event of my wanting to see anything below, like a fire engine, ambulance or policeman. I take back the last one, we don’t even see any policemen anywhere in Sherwood, and precious few in Nottingham. Tsk!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Got the cheesy potatoes in the oven already, turned them up and went into the wet room to get the ablutions done.

Virgin (4b)

All cleaned up and feeling better, I got Josie’s nosh prepared and went to deliver it for her, at 12:55hrs. No answer to her doorbells. Oh, dear!

I titivated the drying clothes and got my potatoes in the oven.

WD 0.0.50 W No answer to her doorbells. Oh, dear! Mark Two!

6Sat09

Later, with my potatoes burning and hers going cold, I went again to delivery Josies for her. She answered she had not heard the last two bell rings.

WD 0.0.50 W Shame it was as hot as I would have liked to have been for her. Still, the gal ate it all she said, apart from the bread, she does not eat white bread, sourdough or otherwise.

I did a bit of updating on this blog, then Josie called to return the tray and things. She seemed to have enjoyed it, which pleased me.

6Sat29WD 0.0.50 W I got my plate of food. But once again, I overdid the quantity. I ate the cheesy-potatoes (Of course, Hehe!), some of the tomatoes, sausages, and cucumber, and a little of the greenery, along with the mandarins in water. Not so bad though, I reckon I consumed about 70% of the fodder on offer. Not too bad, really, and the cheesy-potato flavouring was out-of-this-world, delectable. I used distilled vinegar this time, with a little bit of mustard and sea salt added to the mix.

I got down to watch some TV and set the timer, so I wouldn’t miss that Jackie Chan’s film, ‘Who am I’. A light-weight semi-comedy.

Josie rang the ‘I only want to be with you’ tuned doorbells. She gave me some yogourts and two potatoes. It was her way of saying thank you, I think, bless her cotton socks. ♥

Back to trying to get to sleep, and I saw an advert for the Hughie Tyson v unheard of Canadian Norrad fight. Being as kip was again showing no signs of coming, I foolishly stayed up to watch it. Crap! Absolute rubbish!

WD 0.0.50 W To make things worse, I was feeling so tired, despite having done nothing physical for ages, but Morpheus meant to avoid me at all costs. Then the brain started throwing things at me, my worries, desires, and failures, with childhood misery-memories thrown in the salmagundi of sleep denying torments.

WD 0.0.50 W The curtains were drawn, and I pulled the bobble hat down over my eyes. This was not working. So I tried the thinking of happier times… which took a lot of memory searching, and brought to mind more errors and wrong choices I had made over the years: Which made sleep even more distant and reluctant! I concentrated on the angling days at Attenborough reserve. And this brought on how much I miss my pipe of Erinmore Mixture. Getting disturbed, wanting a wee-wee so often. This was not working at all.

However, sheer tiredness, I think, got me off to kip eventually. By then it was about 03:00hrs!

I woke in need of a wee-wee at 05:35hrs. Peed-off! Tsk!

Inchcock Today – Fri 24 May: Busy long day, so a long diary I’m afraid. A tectonic day, and a sleepless night! Humph!

May 23

2019 May 23

Friday 24th May 2019

Welsh: Dydd Gwener 24 Mai 2019

03:00hrs. Oh, what a great nights sleep! I woke up, feeling better than I have done in ages. Six hours deep restful slumber, most appreciated. Thanks to Caroline ♥, for her tips on getting to sleep. Although at the time she was telling me, I was somewhat half-not-with-it, she left some printed A4 tips, which I read and used last night. Zzzz… Great, bless yers!

I was in need of a none-urgent (I thought) wee-wee. So I mangled my way out of the £300 second-hand, grotty-pot-marked, c1968, rickety recliner and stood to gain me balance for a moment.

WD0.0.128 There were no signs of any nocturnal nibbling or nighttime wanderings. But I must have been doing some moving about, for there were tablets, a tube of pain-gel, a pen and a part-filled bottle on spring water laying on the carpet near to the Ottoman? Perhaps I yawned or something and knocked them off? They were not knocked very far, they lie close to the box… (Please note the increase in my analysationistical and investigative capabilities this morning, Hehehe!)

WD0.0.128 I grabbed the walking stick and went to the kitchen. On entering through the door, my heart fluttered and a feeling of ‘Oh, not again’, rang in my head, as I thought I could hear the tap running! And this without any hearing aids in! (All broke awaiting repair, which is not for two weeks yet, and then a five-week wait for the new inserts to be made, Humph!) I nearly slipped into ‘Moaning Mood Status’ then! However, contrariwise, the hot or cold taps were not running. Phew! But what or where the noise was coming from, I’ve no idea, but it stopped a minute or so later? Another flat 72 Mystery!

WD0.0.128 A good one this was! I’d got the kettle on for the tea, and as I was washing the mug from last night, the right leg devilishly went into dance-(shaking)-mode. The foot was coming up a good few inches, twisting and slamming down again. If a CCTV camera had been fitted in the kitchen, I imagine it would have looked like a cross between a pregnant overweight baby elephant with three legs trying to dance the hokey pokey, or some poor devil suffering from Sydenham’s chorea (St Vitus). But it only lasted for an entertaining minute or two. I grabbed the counter and let it have its way. Not that I could have stopped it anyway. This reminded me of a week or so ago when this happened. I was at the bus stop on Winchester Street, waiting for the 40 bus. About five other passengers were waiting, who were all taken like I was, by surprise by my sudden impulsive jerking about. When the bus arrived, and we all got on, the other folk all sat as far away from me as they could. The situation was made worse, by my stuttering as I tried to explain why I was seemingly dancing. Tsk!

All calmed down again, and I made the brew, took the medications, including the last of the Nitrofurantoin antibiotic tablets, and did the health checks. Sys 175, Dia 71, Pulse 98, and temperature 35.2°c. With no Carer any more, I can now have a shower at 0700hrs (Okayed by the Tiller Girl and Nottingham City Homes Patch Manager, Angela!), when I do the ablutions later. I’ll struggle with the fresh socks-glide and Ankle-Support-Strapping after the ablutions are finished and done.

WD0.0.128 Off to the wet room in response to the need for the Porcelain Throne. This was the third movement in over a week now, and a right painful one too! A solid torpedo that amazed me at how it came out at all! This time the blood from Harold’s Haemorrhoids was only slight, that was a good thing! I am still taking the Senna, though. At least things are coming at last, but I couldn’t half do with things softening a bit. Haha! No idea why I laughed there?

WD0.0.128 5Fri001The morning’s picture of the pins left me a tad concerned. The pale white, cadaverous, almost hoariness of the skin was more acute than ever.

I found the pitiful paleness, ominous… no, that’s not the wording, erm, ill-boding, or baneful perhaps. Certainly not precisely over-hopeful for how things are going. Ah-well, c’est la vie. I think Hehe!

5Fri002WD0.0.128 Later, when I put the photos from the card to the computer, I found this picture that had been taken? Another Inchcock’s Flat 72 Mystery!

Finally, I got on with completing the Thursday post. I was in a better frame of mind yesterday, as I am today too, so doing up the draft was a pleasant job this morning. I got it done relatively fast also.

WD0.0.128 Until the fingers started wobbling, and that slowed me down somewhat. Made a brew (I’ll get one drank, I hope. Haha!) I took a shot of the distant cloudiness that was hiding a lot of the distant view. The shadow in the foreground is from my (Despite all the mess we’ve had for two years of upgrading), beloved Woodthorpe Court.

5Fri005

I created a page Brexit Humour graphic for top for the Inchcock Today, then I made a start on this post next.

WD0.0.128 Typing was still tricky, as the fingers insisted in acting like they getting an electric-shock each time the ends touched the keyboard. Yet any sensation of making contact was absent? Humph!

5Fri003aWD0.0.128 I went again to the kitchen, determined to make a brew and get it imbibed this time. Talking of time, I feel the need to add some advice for other Warfarin users;

  • Do not take things for granted when washing your tea mug. There may be a pair of scissors in the washing up bowl that you were soaking. The pointy ends of the scissors have a habit of sticking down your fingernails and drawing blood, not good if you are on Warfarin. So try to avoid this scenario, please.

I gave up with making the tea. As it was 0700hrs now, and I opted to get the ablutions sorted, then tackle the sock-glide and the titanic painful struggle to get the Ankle-support strapping on.

5Fri006Got some shirts and socks in soak for a hand-washing.

Back in a bit, I hope! Hahaha!

The shave and teggie-cleaning were bloodless. (Haha! Smug-Mode-Adopted!) A mid-shave wee-wee proved to be of the SHSNCWW (Short-Hosepipe-Splashing-No-Sensation-Wee-wee)  variety. A rarity!

WD0.0.128 The shower was enjoyed. Getting dressed was alright, and no problem until I went to fetch the Sock-Glide from the spare room, and stubbed my toes on the four-wheeled-trolley! A couple of silent unmild-oaths were uttered. But getting the long 5Fri007bbamboo sock on went well.

I went to the kitchen and titivated the clothes I’d left soaking and drying from the had-wash.

I got the two drying/airing devises out, after wringing out the togs as best I could. It’s incredible how much strength I’ve lost since the stroke.

5Fri007It’s going to take ages for them to get dry, but never-mind, at least I’m still here to make a mess of it. Haha!

One, the flat one in the kitchen with bowls and paper towels underneath to catch the dripping water. Sad innit?

The stand-up machine in the hallway with the damp extra large shirt and the socks on it. 5Fri007aThen, having avoided the task for a while, I tackled the dreaded job of getting the Ankle-Support put on.

But it was no bother or hassle, whatsoever, a piece of cake, simplicity itself, cushty, couldn’t have been easier…. all right then… that might not have strictly been absolutely correct as descriptions go…

Lie025Fri08

This picture of the Ankle-Support-Strapping on my foot does look like it has been achieved successfully alright, and this may be the case indeed.

The fib is in my saying it was no bother. If I could bottle the pain and frustration I used-up in getting the thing on; We could then send it to Jean-Claude Juncker, to show him what pain and frustration really feel like! I would not charge a fee for supplying it!

Lucy from the stroke support team and Clinical Neurosis ladies are calling this morning. So I must catch up on this blog as much as possible, for it may be a long meeting with the neurosis ladies.

Lucy arrived, I had put down the appointment wrongly on the Calendar. Hard to believe I know! Haha! It was just Lucy. Cognitive tests, Memory Tests, Blood taking, and Physio tests all done over the next two days… Well, it felt like it! A nice lady, patient with my waffling and going off track, too! She may see me in a year she said when sadly departing.

11:25hrs. I got ready the three-wheeled-trolley- guide and had a limp down to the shops.

The weather was perfect for a little hobble-out. The three-wheeled trolley has still not been mastered going downhill, though. Hehe!

5Fri09WD0.0.128 On the walk down Chestnut Way, the place looked busy today, contractors mostly. I called in the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights Flats, and Administration shed for the Generalleutnantess Wardens Temporary HQ, Willmott-Dixon workers breakfast and tea-break room, Sarcasm & Insult distribution area, Tenants Socialisation Shed. Rumourmongering Clinic. Telling Inchcock off Zone, Things like crockery and pottery to be stolen from, and 5Fri10residents shed, but nobody was in, so I continued to the end of Chestnut Way and turned to take a shot of Winchester Court and the vehicular obstructions.

Going down Winchester Street, I should have known the name of these wildflowers, after Caroline told me them the other day, but I can’t recall it. Humph! But to me, they are beautiful!

5Fri11Down in Sherwood, I bought the groceries and the right-size this time, sink plug.

The Big Issue sellers spot had the daughter in the spot today. She only has two mobiles compared to her Mother’s four.

I went to the Ozan food centre. I had a heck of a job getting around with the three-wheeled trolley, up the steps and getting in peoples way. 5Fri015Huh!

I came out with cucumber, two tomatoes, a potato (For Josie and my nosh tomorrow), and a packet of some chicken cooked skinless sausages, with lots of ingredients, but they taste awfully delicious.

Then I hobbled up to the Co-op store. Again, just like last Friday, the shelves looked bare. 5Fri016Well, the fresh food one did.

I spent a lot in there. Baguettes, mini-tomatoes, salad tray and some smoked mackerel, to go with the Cheesy-potatoes on Saturdays shared fodder with Josie.

She says I am her weekend cook. Haha!

Out and across the road up into Aslam’s Post Office shop5Fri017.

Got disinfectant for the EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-wee bucket). Now the Nitrofurantoin antibiotics are finished, I expect that the frequent, everyone-different wee-wees will return. A bottle of spring water.

WD0.0.128 And the most disappointing loaf of Polish Sourdough I’ve 5Fri018ever had! In fact, looking at the picture, I may well have bought the wrong bread altogether. It was dry and tasteless. Eurgh! Hey-ho!

Back across the road and into the Wilko store. Where I got an air-freshener, sink plug (the right size this time) and some more liquid soapflakes for the hand-washing. Paid up, and made my way up the hill to the Dentist to confirm the appointment for a check-up.

WD0.0.128 The feet and toes were getting painful, and I 5Fri12was limping badly now. I think that the earlier stubbing of the toes has caused a problem.

As I limped rather embarrassingly up Mansfield Road, just before Hood Street, I stopped to allow the foot and toe-pain to ease.

It took a good while to ease off. And for some reason, I was amused at some poor devil of the motorist who was struggling herself, to get out 5Fri013of Hood Street to turn right up Mansfield Road.

I almost gave a cheer of congratulation out loud, when after I don ‘t know how long, she eventually got out. I wondered how much petrol had been used up in that one manoeuvre? Ah, well! Just thought I’d mention it, after my taking the pictures.

I got to the dentist near the bus stop, and as luck would have it, Christine and her hubby were standing outside. I asked them to keep an eye on my trolley; then struggled up the steep step into the hallway then, to the reception. Apparently, they have sent me a letter telling me the appointment has to be changed as the technician (not Dentist?) was not available on that day. She gave me a new date, Tuesday 28th May 2019. I must remember to put this in the Google Calendar.

WD0.0.128 I added about the stroke and Warfarin, asking that he does not do any work that is not absolutely needed. She gave a head-moving smirk and said: “None of our technicians do that!” I replied: “You’re talking to someone who knows different. His skill in banging in his screwdriver to make a cavity is well known to those patients who have moved surgery after paying out!” I laughed. The look on her face – I should have shrivelled up and died, really! Hehehe! I departed and joined Christine and hubby. A natter of sorts was had. Getting on the bus, only one seat remained a side-saddle, which of course with the trolley, was fine.

Back up to the flats in the bus, a quick hello with some residents waiting to get on the vehicle, after I all but fell with the trolley getting off. Then limped, no, really limped, with Christine back to the flats.

5Fri014When I got inside, many letters had been delivered.

One from the dentists was telling me about the need to reset the appointment.

The INR Anticoagulation & Deep-Vein Thrombosis Clinic results and dosages for the week.

I needed to take a look at the pins and feet; they were giving me agony now.

I got the Ankle-Support-Strapping off and got some immediate pain relief from the feet and toes.

5Fri20WD0.0.128 Not a pretty sight. The area stubbed earlier had left some scratches/bruises. The wear-blotches were from the Ankle Support Strapping and shoes. The long overdue nail cutting was adding to the discomfort. The big toe is moving behind the next toe, worryingly like Sister Jane’s is doing, though nowhere near as advanced or corrupt yet. But she has her eye problem that has taken precedence now, bless her.

WD0.0.128 Called at Josie’s to see when she wanted her nosh tomorrow and if she like Smoked Mackerel, but no answer.

After a one-off LHBLWW (Long Hosepipe-Blasting like Wee-wee), I got the purchases away, and the nosh prepared.

I sorted the evening medications into a pot. Jane rang while I was sorting the tablets out. We had a good chinwag. Afterwards, I started the medication pots again, in case I got anything wrong with stopping half-way through.

Took the night medications, a little earlier than I should have, but at least I won’t forget to take them now.

5Fri019WD0.0.128 Got the fodder sorted and prepared. I didn’t eat all of it this time. Mainly because the Polish sourdough sliced bread was nothing like it usually tastes. It was bland and dry. Bit of a cock-up at the bakery, or is it me?

The chicken & vegetable flavour skinless sausages were sweet, though. Flavour Rating (Not counting the Sourdough bread) was 7/10 – Counting the bread: 2.5/10. Tsk!

Did the washing up, and settled into the c1968 rickety recliner. Eating and watching the TV at the same time now. I was tickled pink to see that an hour programme called ‘Dusty Springfield at the BBC’, was on BBC 4… but it didn’t start until 21:00hrs. Oh, dear! I dilly-dallied, equivocated and fence-straddled over whether to stay-up-to watch it. My vacillating is getting worse lately.

As it happened, there was no getting to sleep anyway. So I watched the programme. How disappointing it was, though. Cover songs and a few newer ones, but none of her good stuff at all! An old one of the Springfields doing a version of Wimoweh was interesting. A lot of time was spent about her work in the USA, and the sad Pet Shop Boys with Dusty. A duet with a young Tom Jones, in there. All crap!

Although I felt annoyed that I’d stayed up late (for me) to watch it, really I had no choice, because sleep was still not an option even after the programme had finished.

WD0.0.128 Plenty of repeated bouts of leg cramps, and a few SWWWs (Short-weak-wee-wees), ensured it was hours before I managed to nod off. The mind was doing its toying with me, fears, worries, past errors, even uncomfortable, thorny memories from my childhood joined it the stampede of uncherished thoughts from so many years ago; especially some wrong choices I have made. No chance of any kip, really.

I pondered on whether I should wear the Ankle-Support in the morning, then remembered it needed washing tonight. I’ll do it in the mornings along with a shirt and socks… anything but sleep!

Inchcock Today – Thursday 23rd May 2019: Yet another busy day for the doolally Nottingham Pensioner and Whoopsiedangleplopper, Hehe!

Thanks, Lynton mate, I love it!

Thursday 23rd May 2019

Zulu: NgoLwesine 23 Meyi 2019

02:50hrs. Well, flipping ‘eck, a good nights sleep had! Caroline’s advice tried, and it seemed to work brilliantly! Only interrupted twice for a wee-wee, and the last session last for about five hours, I reckon. Of glorious, unbroken bliss! Woke a lot more refreshed, but still, the heavy eye-lids from previous sleep deprivationing lingered. (Clever word, eh? I looked it up!)

A little mind-musing and wandering about nothing and everything, then I pulled together my thoughts and freed myself from the second-hand, £300, c1968, grotty-beige rickety recliner. Got my balance, Arthur Itis and Anne Gyna both in a good mood; got the stick and wandered off for a wee-wee. Definite improvement with the infection now, a fair liquid this time, a blast experienced that lasted a decent while, and, with no pain or blood with it! Double-Smug-Mode engaged!

The legs amazed me. They are almost in the same condition as yesterday, and that hasn’t happened in months. Same colour (pale), knees not as warped, etc. No new papsules or bruised.  Although maybe the left leg has gained some fluid retention? Even the right ankle is not sticking out so far today. Most encouraging!

4Thu04

The morning medications were taken, and health checks are done. Sys a bit high at189. Ah, well, you can’t win em all!

Back to the wet room for a Porcelain Throne visit that came on a bit suddenly. The second session of the week. It was more a tad painful, but far more voluminous (is that the right word?) and a successful session this time. And, no bleeding either. Smug Mode Adopted!

It was then that I began to muse about all the medical appointments for the rest of the week and next week. They seem to get added to pretty regularly as well! Just look at them! Grumph! Still, it shows that someone is caring for me. Caroline – Sonia – Jemma – Muhsina – Angela – Josie – Jane – Stroke Kerry – Physio Charlene, etc. ♥ Contented-Smug-Mode-Adopted!

4Thu001

Please note: No Whoopsiedangleplops heretofore? Yee-Haa!

I got the Thursday… no, Wednesday blog updated and sent off.

Washed the mugs, made a brew, and put some shirts and socks in to soak – cleaned them and got them hanging to dry. All with no accifauxpas! Treble-Smug-Mode-Engaged!

I’m not used to these Midas Touches, and streaks of good luck – surely something will go wrong soon? Hahaha!

4Thu03aGot the ablutions sorted, wee-wee, teggies, shaved, washed and polished the head. Again without any mishaps! (Haha!)

Peripheral neuropathy nurse and Jemma are calling today. Getting out shopping and appointments is hard.

I then had a go at putting on the Ankle-Support strapping myself. I found it problematical, discommodious and devilishy difficult, not to mention detrimental to my determination. However, surprisingly, my willpower was rejuvenated, when after what had begun as a mission impossible, I struggled on and got it fitted, in a fashion. But it was not tight enough for real protection. However, if I can do this today, I can on other future days. I can always ask someone to tighten them later, thus pleasing the Care supervisor and cancelling the carer calling. I decided to cancel them today.

Carried on with creating this blog, until a carer arrived.

WD 255.0.0 A first-time caller. Etienne (French). I explained I could manage in future and asked him to cancel the visits. I also told him to tell his boss that he could have four boxes of disposable Protection Pants. Then explained to him what they were and showed him. I asked him to tell his boss to call and make a date for collecting them, to suit himself. Showed the man the unwanted new balcony with its finger-trapping openings, gaps, feathers that had come through the cracks between the windows and the complicated, uncleanable for old folks, farcical opening system.

I considered making a prandicle for a late breakfast. But decided not to. My options, preferences, selections, choices, alternatives, opportunities, appraisals, judgements and decision-making qualities; even before the Stroke, left much to be desired. Nowadays, things have gone from bad to worse, retrogressed to an unfortunate state of affairs. This is noticeable every time a decision or alternative are called for. So much so, I tend to find myself being manipulated easily or going along with anyone’s first suggestion. Without working out the problems or affect decisions can have on other issues. Oy Vey!

08:30hrs. Made another brew, and went on CorelDraw to do some more blog page top graphics, and then created another draft for WordPressing. This was the plan anyway!

Around 10:00hrs, Jemma and Muhsina arrived, from the Stroke Support Team. Much chinwagging took place in between tests, exercises and medical examinations.

Shame about the pulse-finding, apparently I died twice. Shame. Hehe! The third time I sprang to life: Dia sat down: 124, Sys was 64. Stood up: Dia 128, Sys 68.

They kept it quiet about what the pulse was or wasn’t. Haha! My weight was 88 or something in foreign money. I inquired what that was in English; it pleasingly turned out to be 14.4st Super-Smug-Mode-Adopted!

Jemma tightened the Ankle-Support for me, as I explained that I am freeing the carers from their duties, and going to do it myself, despite the pain and struggle – in the hopes that things will improve later.

Rubbish, Josie not eating chicken, so I had a black bean meal readied for tonight.

Mushina called the St Anns Valley Centre, to check if the drop-in Nail-Cutting Service will be available next Monday or not, with it being a Bank Holiday. Nope! So I changed the appointment on the Google Calendar, to the following Monday – if I can still walk, that is! Humph!

Some physio exercises later, with well-aching limbs, the nurses prepared to depart. They reminded me that I have to vote, and I went with them, using the three-wheeled trolley; down and some more nattering was enjoyed. A real tonic these helpers are. Caroline picking flowers for me, all with a caring nature… Made my day, they did! Ah, Bliss!

Jemma gave me a list of medications to check with the Doctor, for those that should have been stopped according to the Chemist they are still on the list?

We parted company as the girls got to their cars Sad! And into the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights Flats, and Administration shed for the Generalleutnantess Wardens Temporary HQ, Tea-break room, Sarcasm & Insult distribution area, Tenants Socialisation Shed. Rumourmongering Clinic. Telling Inchcock off Zone, Things like crockery, raffle-prizes, books and pottery to be stolen from, and residents room. Cast my votes in the Euro elections, glad I took the three-wheeled-walker me.

WD 255.0.0 On the way back, I had a little Dizzy Dennis moment and had to stop. But it was all over within a minute, and I continued nice and steadily up to flat 72.

Joycie was letting someone out of her apartment as I passed. I checked to see if she like chicken, but she does not eat it at all. So I will demolish the black bean and chicken meal tonight. I got inside, put the wheels away in the spare room, changed into my slippers, then got the oven warming up, ready for the black beans and cobs to be cooked later on.

Shaddath, the Carer Supervisor rang, he will be calling to see me in about an hour. He can pick-up the PPs then to distribute to those in need.

Updated this blog for a while until Shaddath arrived.

WD 255.0.0 He stopped the Carer service. Then got me to carry some of the boxes off PP’s down to his car. Humph, cheek! Made worse, when I realised I had not taken the door fob with me to get back in! Hahaha! Luckily someone4Thu27 came out, and I nipped in!

I got the nosh in the oven, intending to add the part-baked cobs later. Added some part-baked cobs later when I stirred up the black bean with an extra half can of black beans and black bean sauce. Yes, I like black beans and sauce. Hehe!

Although tired, the day has been another busy mind-testing one for me; I ate all of the meal with a certain relishness, but ate it slowly, to savour the excellent delicate flavour! I did three whole mushrooms with balsamic vinegar over the day in the slow-cooker, added some small tomato-halves. The Sharwoods black bean sauce with peppers is another discovery I made, expensive, but truly tasty and worth a mention for any food connoisseurs. I purposely overcooked the mixture, almost caramelised it – and it was gorgeous!

I reckon the wee-wees infection is a lot better now. Just one more Nitrofurantoin in the morning finishes the full antibiotic course.

Despite feeling so weary tonight, and all the concerns milling about in the brain, which I oddly expected to keep me awake, although it took a while, Caroline’s tips on getting to sleep, eventually worked ♥. And a good seven hours uninterrupted sleep flowed blissfully for me! Ah!

Inchcock Today: Saturday 18th May 2019: I felt so lonely without the medical folk calling. Hehe!

May 18

2019 May 17a

Saturday 18th May 2019

German: Samstag, 18. Mai 2019

04:25hrs. I woke, feeling so sapped and narcoleptic. This, despite my having just been in the arms of Morpheus, for the most extended sleep I’ve had in years! (At least I think I had). And yet unwanted ignavia, persisted? I believe that I’d slept for about eight-and-a-half hours!

Thinking about it, I suppose the therapy exercises with Nurse Sue yesterday, might have taken more out of me than I thought?

I heaved my crassulent torso from the £300 second-hand, c1968, gungy-beige recliner, and took the two steps to use the EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-wee Bucket). I was benumbed when I found it almost a third-filled. I have no recollections of waking up to use it during my nocturnal head-down? I shall resist telling you of what it looked like, apart from unnatural. I added to the quantity without much pain for once. Still thick and coloured a pale yellow, damn it, I’ve told you now. Hehe! A new bowdlerisation or an acronym for today’s latest style of wee-wee would be a TCRWW (Thick-Colourful-Reluctant-Wee-Wee). But more aggressive than those of recent days. It seems the Nitrofurantoin antibiotic tablets are doing their job, I hope.

I took the medications, including the Nitrofurantoin, and carried out the Health Checks.

Then off to the wet room, for a shave, wash, teggies and scrub up. Applied the pain gel generously on the Arthur Itis and Axonotmesis affected legs and knees. Then Haemorrhoids Harold was creamed. The next job, tackling the Sock-Glide, which was a log, difficult job today. PPs and togs on. Deorisational spraying and aftershave applied. Both pairs of Spectacles cleaned. Hearing aids de-waxed. Olive oil inserted in both of the lug-holes. And off to make a mug of tea.

WD173.2.2 On the way to the kitchen, the right arm, hand and leg went off on one of their Shaking Shaun episodes, a vicious one. Nothing could be done, so I just waiting, glad that no one was there to see it, and waited for the bout to stop. Luckily, I had the walking stick with me when it arrived. The fingers were reluctant to stop the shakes, but all the other affected areas calmed down to a stop for me, in about ten minutes or so. Much longer than usual.

WD173.2.2 I made the brew, and got on the computer, to update yesterday’s diary. Which was a little farcical! With the finger ends jumping all over the place each time I hit the keypad; a lot more time correcting was spent than typing. Then, just to make things a bit more interesting, the violent sneezing started! Humph!

The Carer, Anton arrived and soon had the Ankle-Support fitted. He’s mastered the job now.

WD173.2.2 Back to the computer and: Most annoyingly…Virgin (2)

I battled on against the ailments, the Liberty-Global Internet and repetitious amendments, and got the post finished and sent off, eventually. Worra life! Hehe!

I made a start on creating the draft for this post. When another Shaking Shaun episode arrived. But this one only lasted for the more usual few minutes. I began to type again and realised I had to take an antibacterial tablet. So took it, and made another cuppa. Then I got the potatoes baking in the oven.

Then onto CorelDraw to make some Page Headers and Thoughts to use for tomorrow’s blog.

Josie called. I plan to get the meal ready for 13:00hrs, so she can get the bus put to visit her family in time.

6Sat29Stopped computerising to take care with the nosh.

Delivered Josies, then got mine sorted.

Again I couldn’t eat it all, but the cheesy potatoes got devoured completely!

I think the new medications are making me more tired, lose my appetite, and struggle with the wee-weeing. Tsk!

Josie returned the plates etc. I’m so glad she enjoyed it.

Did the washing up, took the antibiotic tablet and settled down to watch some TV. I was soon asleep again, a deep one.

But the need for another wee-wee woke me up (luckily!), and things were changing for the better I think. I passed what must have been half a cup. That’s more then I have moved in a long time. So the Nitrofurantoin is working with the infection.

Back down in the £300 second-hand recliner, and nodded off again.

Woke in need of another wee-wee. Washed up and took the medications, changed into the nightwear, and again nodded off.

Woke up to use the Porcelain Throne, but things were still hard and solid, although a little evacuated, painfully. Humph!

The rest of the kipping was intermittent throughout the night. I kept waking with a different problem or worry on my mind each time. It was heavy going.

Inchcock Today – Friday 17th May 2019:

May 17

2019 May 17

Friday 17th May 2019

Haitian Creole: Vendredi 17 Me Me 2019

WD 51.51.153 5Fri00101:40hrs. I woke, I noticed the legs were a little different again. Boy, were they pale and anaemic looking. The left one still had far more water retention than the right leg. Is there a name for ‘Leg Watching’ I wonder?

WD 51.51.153 I soon sensed the need, dismounted the £300 second-hand, gungy beige, rickety recliner, wobbled a bit in standing – then lunged for and used the EGPWWB Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-wee bucket. With a resulting releasing of what must have been more content than for weeks, now. Only an SSPWW (Short-Sprinkly-Painful-Wee-wee), but it might have half-filled a small cup, and that is more than I have managed, as I said, for weeks now! The pain was worth it! Thank heavens for Nurse Jemma yesterday, and her getting me some antibiotics! ♥

5Fri002I limped along to the kitchen to put the kettle on, and get the health checks done. I realised that I had not had any Colin Cramps last night!

The Sys 121. The Dia 63, both much lower than yesterday. The temperature was 35.4°c. The new medication doses are far less now, as can be seen in the blue pot lid. The scales are now hidden behind the two walker-trolleys in the spare room, so I used this as a self-excuse for not weighing myself. Guilt-Mode-Adopted!

Thankfully, thanks to Jemma getting things sorted for me, the following prescription medications in June will be blister-packed, all bar the Warfarin which will come separately, as the doses change all the time. She really has helped sort things out for me. She earned her wages yesterday, bless her!

WD 51.51.153 I made a brew and got on the computer to update the Wednesday blog. It took me a long time this morning. Partly due to the mistakes I keep making from the shaking fingers and inattention, and the other reason, I had to break off at least eight times for an SSPWW!  I used the WC for these, and was, despite seeing the state of the legs earlier, I was almost horrified to see how pale the rest of the body was. I considered taking a photo but decided I could manage quite well, without seeing it myself. Humph!

When the blog was done and dusted then sent off, I went to make another mug of tea. And it dawned on me, that the wee-wees had stopped. I’ll see how long this last for. I must try to remember the Nitrofurantoin tablets at 10:00hrs, 14:00hrs, and 18:00hrs.

WD 51.51.153 Well, fancy that, I just took two SSPWWs in the EGPWWB, within two minutes. I spoke too soon!

Time to get a wash and shave, teggies and dressed, etc. A bit concerned about the shaking right hand and leg today, I’ll take care when shaving. Back in a while.

Blimey, I had three SSPWWs while doing the ablutions! Then they dried up again? Got all spit and polished, shaved (one little cut, no… I tell a fib, it was two, Hehe!), teggies, scrub up and dressed.

The shorter-wider topped 5Fri005socks were adorned.

WD 51.51.153 Me using the sock-glide, really ought to be filmed and sent for a comedy award of some sort or other – it’d be a winner! I can see the headlines now; Nottingham’s nearly toothless Pensioner Inchcock’s Sock-Glide Farce, beats all to win the British Comedy Award for the best Medical – Whoopsiedangleplop of 2019! “Sock-Glide Company Sue”! Hahaha!

5Fri004The face had a little more colour, but then I had just had a shower and bleeding shave. Hehe!

I made a brew, got the antibiotics put on the calendar as a reminder. I made them for 06:00, 10:00, 14:00 and 18:00hrs, I’ll check with Jemma to see if that is okay, later. Taking them with fodder is essential the advice leaflet reads.

While washing, the right leg did one of its shake, rattle and roll performances. I could have sent a clip of that to ‘You’ve been framed’ perhaps. It must have looked to anyone watching like I was having an electric shock down my right side. But these episodes never last long, and somehow, oddly, even I find them funny. (Not when they catch me out and cause injury, though. Haha!)

The tea had gone cold, so I made another brew.

5Fri003aIt looked a little precipitation threatening. As I opened the new unwanted, light & view blocking window, now with extra glass to clean that we cannot even reach, in the kitchen, it started to spit rain. But it was still a beautiful view!

When I was taking the picture, I swear my nephelococcygia recognised a shape of a fish up in the clouds. But I’ll be blown if I can see it now.

I had a bash at the headphone connections again, and they are working? But the sound is muffled. To me, anyway.

Called to see Josie a few times, but she was out. Hope she’s enjoying some time with her clan.

The wee-wees were the same for the rest of the day, but less frequent, SSPWWs.

Nurse Sue arrived around 10:20hrs. Nice lady, who commenced the occupational therapy exercises with me. Gently and kindly, though. We also had a jolly-good natter at the same time. What seemed like a day-and-a-half later (Hehe!), Sue had to leave me. Boking another visit for next week… or the week after, whichever. Fitting the gal in the medical calendar was fiddly. It is already pretty full. Hard to get anything else done. She said I could nip out to get my potatoes now. I hobbled to the door with her and said my farewells and thanks.

5Fri007I’m looking forward to her next visit already.

I had missed the bus, but no bother.

I decided to walk slowly and carefully down Winchester Hill and get some bread and potatoes for tomorrow’s cheesy-potato-nosh.

5Fri006Out and down the hill, as I say, nice and steady with the three-wheeled-trolley. The trip went well, without accifauxpa or incident. There were very few Nottinghamians about on Mansfield Road.

WD 51.51.153 I called in the International Food Store, to investigate what large potatoes they had on offer. Oh dear! Not very good, they were a little motheaten looking and cracked with shoots growing out of them! The shelves looked a little barren.

5Fri007aWD 51.51.153 So I walked up to the fruit & veg shop… only to find it had Closed Down! A sad state of affairs!

So I crossed over te Abdul’s store on the other side of the road, in search of a Polish sliced Sourdough loaf.

WD 51.51.153 But none available!

5Fri007bWD 51.51.153 Back over the road and called in the co-op. Where I got some baking spuds. But the fresh food shelves there were even more barren than in the other shops, minimal choice or options. This was not good for a Friday, and very depressing for anyone with a family who were hoping to get in the week’s vittles.

5Fri08I moved up past Hall Street, making my way to the bus stop to catch the L9 back up Winchester Street to the flats at Winwood Court.

A little busier here, the bookies and cheap alcohol shop probably the main attractions. Hehehe!

Surprisingly, there were none of my fellow residents at the bus stop. So, a lonely wait and ride up the hill home.

5Fri08aAs I got off the bus, I could see Mary coming towards me from the other end of the road. But, no doubt due to the magical time-space continuum’s tear in the fabric of space, and or the ghosts and goolies of Winwood Heights, it was as if I blinked and she was gone? This photo proves I did not imagine Mary being there… but where did she go? Another mystery not to get solved!

5Fri09Apart from the legs and feet, I was in pretty good knick. I took a photograph of Winwood Court as I made my way down Chestnut Way.

WD 51.51.153 Called to see Josie, but she was not in.

Weariness dawned. All that effort, just to get two potatoes, hehe! But worth it, for me to do some Cheesy-Potatoes for Josie and me, on Saturday. I got the nosh sorted, and it was a disaster of sorts.

WD 51.51.153 For the appetite had gone again. Despite the meal looking, tasting, and smelling fair to me. Only ate a little of it? Why? I wondered if the Nitrofurantoin may be a cause of this? One of the many possible side-effects is loss of appetite? Now I’ve taken a few more tablets it may be affecting me?

The plate when served, and how it ended up.

5Fri11

I got washed, took the medications, removed the Ankle-Support (Not without some grunting, pain and curse words, hehe!), and settled n the £300 second-hand, c1968 grotty beige recliner. Sleep came early, easily and quickly. The occupational therapy exercising helped I think.

WD 51.51.153 Deep in sleep, and the mobile rang. I tried to answer it, fumbling about and the Axonotmesis nerve affected fingers, ensuring I made a mess of replying and it rang off before I could answer. I rang Jane back, and she rang me again. We had a chinwag, although not a lot of it remains in my memory. I was so deep in sleep. I must get in touch later, I think she has another problem, with her eyes this time. I must find out.

Getting back to sleep I thought, would be a problem. So I watched some crap in TV. Turned it off, and within fifteen minutes I was back in the land of bliss!
