Best as I could recall, it would have been about five o’clock when I went to put the kettle on to make a Welsh brew of Glenghetti tea.

This Ode writ to show yer the wee-wee rate today!

While doing the brewing,
A mug of tea ensuing,
The bladder continued bubbling…
Took one photo. and off for a peeing,
Washed, back to photographing,
Tea had done brewing…
Got out the milk & off for a wee-weeing!
Out of the wet room singing…
Forgot the tea, did the binning,.
Ah, the tea, which was now freezing,
Still, it didn’t matter to me.
Weeing,
It was not free-flowing…

I could be in the shit; you see! Hehe

Ouzzat! Back-Down to High-Normal!

And, I not long since when taking the shower shaving routine, that my right hanging-sack is swollen and so tender. Humph!
I presume from the effects of the urine infection or whatever it is. As the wee-wee rate was dropping. The swelling and pain started coming and still getting worse. Typical, I get an appointment, then find that I can’t get an Easy-Link bus; the poor devils are out of volunteers.
It’ll be dodgy on the buses, but I’ve no choice. Finding it a lot harder to see things now, like traffic, walls, kerb, and bus stops, and have to manoeuvre around the 3-wheeler walker trolley. Do you know, I’m genuinely nervous about going out, not being able to see or hear.

About 45 wee-wees later, I’d stopped drinking before going to the doctor and got things ready to go. But if the Carer is any later I may miss the bus… “I may miss the bus!”! You may not believe the farce that took place… However, by way of a cheer, the had developed what a work of an art form is. I felt like it must be a label or something that could be pulled off? Off course, in my condition, there was no way I could reach it anyway – and should I have tried, my right onion bag would have likely burst as I swashed it, getting down to it. Not to mention the agony it would have given me. Hehehe! Believe me, it gave me plenty of chance for the odd Argh! Winching & cursing throughout the day and night!
Arrived, and I asked him if he could help me with getting the does on, Or to be more precise, fasten the velcro on them. TY was happy enough to do that for me. I waffled too much, and the lad forgot to give me the second Omeprazole table, my fault. Treats selected in, on my insistence, thanks. Took the waste bag with him as he left. I wandered of again there, sorry.
Now, it was now up to me to get to the bus on time. And I did too! My left side lips gave a slight curl upwards. Initially, I did, but the Swaggering blossomed.

I caught the 40 bus to go down Winchester Street, get off on Mansfield Road, and catch another bus into Carrington, where the Sherrington Park Medical thingamabob is.
acci-whoop When a lady got on who I’d not seen for ages, I started a chinwag with her. As she got to get off, I realised that we were on top of Mapperley Plains
Activated, and I got off with her but could not catch her up. I was in a mental flap of sorts, concerned about being late for the appointment.
This kindest lady came to me and asked me if I was alright. I explained my big , and she asked if she could call a taxi for me. Bless Her!
And she did. A taxi arrived in about three minutes and put the trolley walker in the boot and me in the back, and we were soon arriving at the surgery. Phew! There was a decent wait to be seen. Which told me I’d got the timing wrong again. I was proven right later on when the Doctor mentioned how early I had arrived. Tsk!

I told doctor Vindla of wee-wees, how painful they were and only the off sprinkle coming out. Off t the treatment room And she had a look ot the bladder and Shot up the backside to have a feel around. I felt that one! Then something long and cold. I didn’t ask.

Two Meridian gals… I think Tina and Jodie came in as I was sat sitting at the computer, trying to resettle the giant-sacked ball whatsit between my legs. The legs also grew greatly today?
I fear that the photographs I took while out, fifteen of them, many never made it to the SD Card. A message something like ‘This photo cannot be viewed’ showed on the Lumix screen. Huh!

The FARCICALISATIONAL began.
I got wrapped up well, remembered the Sample tube thingy, filled, of course. Hehe!
I got to the public bus stop, and other tenants joined us there. And a bus arrived within minutes.
I got into the vehicle with no injuries, got sat down and off we went.
My mind was concerned at that time about what and how I was going to explain my symptoms to the Doctor. (I would have checked my notes written earlier… but they were in the living room back at the flat.
We arrived at the next stop, and a lady and gent got on. It’s been so long since I saw them since I don’t get out much, and I greeted them like family and launched into questioning them about how they were getting on. The lady said she was sorry, but they were getting off at the next bus stop. Then a sickening feeling filled my stomach, with a self-hating mode coming on when I realised where we were, going in the opposite direction. I’d got on the wrong bus!
I alighted with the pair, and not a full mode, but it soon became one when I realised the problem I was going to have to get to the surgery on time now.

I crossed the pelican lights to the other side, but none of the buses went to Carrington from there. (I wondered at that moment if this was a suitable name for EasyLink to use) But did not blame them; I more cursed my own luck and Dementia Doreen!
This very kind lady came to me (I supposed I must have looked worried?) and asked if I was alright. I briefly explained my cock-up, and asked if there was a taxi place nearby. Bless her. She got on her mobile and ordered a car from DG for me.
SherringtonThis arrived within three minutes and five more, and we were pulling up at the Sherrington Park Surgery. The sun came out as I paid my dues.

Whoever the lady was To whoever the lady was who helped dave the appointment for me. ♥
I got inside, and when I logged in, the lady in reception pointed to the chairs. (Doctoresse at this surgery for Please take a seat) Which in many ways was such a comfort; because it meant I was not late.
With how the eyes were, there was no point in taking the crossword book (although I meant to, I just forgot to, Ahem!)
I looked through every leaflet on the walls, and there was no shortage, but there were only about four with print big enough to read.
I sat for about twenty minutes: Not easy sitt
ing, you know! When one of your man bits is three times the size of the other one, without trapping or sitting on it. Well, impossible, actually!

Dr Vindla came to me, smiling… that always scares me for some reason nowadays Hehe! The first thing she sails was, “You’re good and early today, Gerry. Let’s have you in…”

I’d got the appointment timing all mixed up again! Shouldn’t really be such a shock with my record, but so many in such a short space of time were worrying me a smidgeon.

I don’t suppose for one second that they bother my uninvited interloping brain resident, Dementia Doreen, do you think?
I’m surprised I don’t have a headache; I bet she’s in there amongst the confused brain cells, throwing a party. or maybe having a revelrous-celebratory knees-up with Alto-Ego?
I wonder how long it will be until my grip weakens so much that I will not care anymore? Jus
t a thought. Well, at the moment, anyhow. Back to the surgery… I strayed well off-topic again there; sorry.
I told the Doc all about my four sleepless nights and the mushrooming, three-time it’s usual size tender right bit in my men’s department. I can’t be certain, but I thought I detected a little wry-smile creep into her expression.
It was off into the examination room for me with her. She got me positioned and ready for her to delve into certain orifices. She said; I’m going to have a feel… (By gum, that took me back in time, Hahaha!) a feel of your Prostrate, which she did. I just lay there in bliss for a minute. Then, another delve into the rear quarters, I sensed a bit of squelching, and then Dr Lona said something, but I didn’t hear what she said clearly.

Back in her room, then spoke again. She has sent an email to the chemist, which I can fetch now, for some MacroBid antibiotics. Do I did. But not until Dr Vindla gave me an appointment with the Nurse – I nearly got excited then. Haha! It’s with Nurse Lisa. For 30th December at 10:30hrs. I wish I’d asked what it was for, not hearing her tell me earlier, but by now, no-doubt Doreen was back in action, making sure that any signs of contentment, peace, or understanding had no chance in hell of maturing. She’s good at that.

For some reason unknown to me why this is the moment that what I thought was a swollen and painful right testicle started to turn into a really swollen and agonising pain-giving testicle! No idea what caused this, but as the day went on, in the morning, typing this, it got worse. I really am in the shit now, and have to walk to the chemist and then catch two buses to get home!
A daunting challenge, that daunted me! Argh!
Got to the chemist, collected the prescription, and had to decide whether to walk into Sherwood or use the bus. Not an easy decision. (Well, none are for me nowadays)
I knew that on the bus, there would be no chance of avoiding injury to Spanish Onion Henry. (I christened him that as I give names to all my ailments) Well, he feels that size, you see, to me. Hehehe!
Knowing that I had to catch the bus from Sherwood. No way would Spanish

Onion Testicle Henry have coped with walking up the steep hill; I decided it would be easier to walk into Sherwood.
There was only one really near-bothersome that happened en route.
When I was passing some of the brand-new Escotters on the kerbside. (
Putting them in that spot must tempt the scallywags to use them on the road, surely?) I had the above thought (Oh, yes, I have thought every now & then, Why I recall having one in Made 1968). I had a few seconds scary . BY Gawd, SOSTH didn’t half sting for a bit. Good job, I didn’t go over. Anyway, I made a tag for him cause I see no signs of him getting any smaller.

Caught the bus in Sherwood back up to the flats and got inside, and must say, although I thought at the time, was painful, it was going to get a lot worse.

I dare not sit down at the computer at first for fear of inflaming SOSTH. So, I got the kitchen floor mopped. A pathetic effort, but it made me feel better for trying.

Then. Tina and Sam or Jodie from Meridian called. To tell me, Richard has spoken with them, and she has worked hard to get the NCC to allow some extra care time and arrange for the laundry to be done at no extra cost. She’s also trying to arrange for Richard – or another carer to go with me on Thursday to the Coppice hospital. That is a worry less; if it’s Richard, the hospital tells me it must be someone that can accurately answer questions about how I have changed in personality. Richard is the only one who can do that. I do appreciate them trying for me. ♥

After this, I honestly don’t know what occurred until the evening Carer arrived. It was not a good visit, a tension in the air as I recall.
I was not given the new double dose of Omeprazole. The Peptac server was left on the carer’s table. And the waste bags were not taken. But I still offered him a treat in thanks. It may have been me talking too much again.

Shortly after the Carer left, my body closed down after I’d taken my third wee-wee in an hour. I . Woke at about 03:30hrs and was soon back in the c1966, £300, second-hand charity-shop bought, crumb-containing, odour-retaining, Harold’s Haemorrhoid-testing, nauseatingly beige coloured, non-working, virus-breeding recliner again, after taking a wee-wee.
Great, only four awakenings all night to use the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee-Bucket).
A record that!

Sleep, repose, siesta, catnap, cwsg, shut-eye, in the arms of sweet Morpheus, inertia, schlafen, state of stupefaction, or whatever you want to call it: Was a most welcome visitor last night! An estimated snoozing period of around 6 hours was enjoyed. Grrreat! Brilliant!

Mind you, the actual awakening frit and shook me, I have to say. 05:00hrs, one of, if not the most violent yet reinvigorating, returns to consciousness I’ve had since waking up in the hospital after the stroke.

I have got bruises to prove it!

acci-whoop Oh, and two bottles of spring water, the torch and the eye drops were knocked off of the ottoman. Hehe!

After using the Porcelain Throne: Which incidentally was one of the best sessions in months, No bleeding, not a sign of pain, no mess, no repugnant pongs, and zero effort or input was required from yours truly, either! Grrreat! Brilliant!

I began to question if I was not still with Sweet Morpheus and dreaming.

Made a mug of Thompson’s Punjana and onto the computer. Not the tea on the computer, me! Thought I’d just clarify that.

Went onto the WordPress comments and had two come in… yes, twice the usual. Both are amusing, one from Tim Price (see above Ode). Another one from Professor Billum. I hope to find the time to make an ode about that one too.

I got the Sunday blog updated and made myself another mug of tea, this time Glenghetti. Took a wee-wee and got the ablutions done.
Yet another (I know, it’s worrying, innit?) By flipping Lords of , Not a single nick shaving! Only a couple of harmless dropsies and one heading of the control box. Got the medications done, not needing to treat , , or the or !!! Grrreat! Brilliant! Fantastic! Fair enough, I did make the teeth and gums bleed a bit, but the only thing really bothersome was missing the eye with the drops. Not that it tastes too bad when it dribbles down into my mouth, discolouring my white (Now brown & White) moustache en route, but are they good for me? Haha!

Emailed the blog link, and did some Pinteresting… And then I fear all the good luck I’d been having crumbled… Nothing on the notepad or in the brain until announced the arrival of . Everything is patchy from here on until about 18:20 hours. I feel Richard and I spoke after getting the medications sorted. Treats in thanks, and vaguely think I went to the waste chute room with Richard? We spoke near the lift (elevator) doors; I’m almost certain, and I may have given him a man-hug?

This is as far as the notes and memory of that bit go. Yep, Blanks
I obviously got the sonw, cause the graph had been updated, so I got it copied from Excel.

I think that Asda sent a message about short items and substitutes; think I deleted it cause it didn’t matter or something.

I was going into and out of awareness.

Reckon I got through to ILC Deana, cause it says on the calendar that she is calling to see me tomorrow.

Things are so puzzling. Seems even worse after waking up so sharp-minded as well.

I cannot remember doing these graphics at all. No idea when things came back into sense again for sure.
But the notepad next page was found with some notes on it? But mostly undecipherable. I took a photo of what it looked like. My typing skills were well bad when I tried to get back onto blogging.
I found some photos on the SD card. But it’s a guess as to what and where some of them were from and of.
Amazingly some memories returned when I saw the pictures.

Remembered (now) taking these.
Doing the ablutions. I was
fine then, but still can’t
recall taking them?

Oh, yes. The cooking tongues arrived.
Now I remember why I took these, despite
forgetting later on. It was the size of
the box compared to the contents!

A wet mystery.

Asda delivery. Treats table new
lines for Christmas added.

Whoopsiedangleplop
Got the food in the oven and veg
in the saucepan. Forgot about these.
Burnt the hell out of them!

About 18:20hrs, sounded, and in came . I was back to normal by then and feeling much more aware and alert.
We got the medications sorted out and had a mini-chinwag (Well, I did… Hehehe!) Treat in thanks, and off Jodie went. I can’t remember now if I locked the door or not… I’ll go and check. Nope, not locked. But it is now.

Chiselled the food out of the saucepan and got some fodder.
I had to do some resuscitation on the food to make it eatable.
However, the partially crushed Asda rolls were kind on the teeth.

Fungleturds!  Back to my waking up all the time.

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Been up all night again! Now I’ve got the computer going again, Josie’s meals need prepping, and I feel I can sleep – ! I was feeling so slow-witted and tired suddenly. Everything is normal then!
At least I knew it was the morning this morning. humph!

Light-headed. heavy eye-lidded, and with a new (to me) style of viewpoint, I shall call it ‘Soddumall Sunday’, I pressed on with getting the Health Checks sorted… No wee-wee! No call to the Porcelain Throne, no Dizzy Dennis when I stood up from the computer; I’d been on for about six hours, none-stop… and; I genuinely felt I just wasn’t going to get all hot and bothered about anything!
And this was surprising, as I was in some discomfort from the trapping of the already burnt finger. It now has a bruise as well… well, two!
I waffled a little there, and I lost the plot; sorry about that.
The figures had come down.

I poddled out into the balcony and was greeted by the wind and rain. So, I took these photographicalisations through the window.
“I’m no fool!”. Well, I am really…

A few spaces in the Chestnut walk and end car parks this morning, I thought. Slowly it dawned on me that it is still only 01:30hrs.

The Red Van Man just will not give up that illegal parking space he seems to be making his own? Not that it matters, but there were a lot of white vehicles out there today.

I made a brew of Glengettie, and I got on the computer, and a text message came in at about 02:20hrs.
By 03:00hrs, I finally found my superlative new mobile phone. Well, my 1970 bought one. I heard the beeping noise when the text came in, but I just could not locate where it was. It had to be close for me to have heard it. I checked all my pockets and got down with the torch to look underneath the Hopewells 1966 broken, with doors hanging off dangerously cabinet, but it had not fallen underneath that.
I believe it was and that was the cause of this. As the day progressed, I saw more and more areas of the carpet mainly, that looked like they had water running along them. Looked in the wet room, junk room and kitchen without any success. So I gave up.

Into the kitchen to make another brew of tea, Thompson’s Punjana, this time.
Checked the potatoes on the oven to go in Josie’s nosh and took a look out of the window now the rain had stopped.
I looked at the balcony and saw the mobile phone lying on the duckboards!.

Got the spuds sliced and put them into the oven

Back to the computer. leaving it every few minutes to make sure the meal is going on alright. I’m going to have to get my head down when … Hello…
Cutting this short now. Just got to get some sleep; not feeling well at all.
Carer Jozeph arrived.

Split the chillie into two bowls and added potatoes to one of them, and a bit of basil. Can’t see well at all now; what’s going on?
The potatoes looked and tasted okay.

Missing stuff off, sorry.

Caught the burnt and bruised finger on the saucepan lid ring.
May have swore.
Then cleaning the first saucepan, I tore the scab off of the finger. put a plaster on.

Saved some spuds and ate a few

Wee-weeing is back in fashion… not half!

Made up Josie’s meals tray, though it looked okay. Been a grind getting it done today, but felt a smidge smug about my struggles and efforts.
Had to be careful taking it out and to Josie’s front door cause I was having a visit from Shaking Shaun and feared dropping the whole caboodle on the floor. Haha!
GC why Proudly rang the bell… Five minutes later, I rang it again. No reply. Now I was in a pickle. Worried about if she was poorly. Stayed ringing the bell a few more times in case she was in the shower. Half an hour later, I gave up.

Now how can I sleep now? Fretting over the gal. Has she gone out with her Sister again and not told me?

Now WordPress, Windows CorelDraw or something keeps telling me messages about my being out of space on the computer??? I was pissed off and ridden!

At last, sleep, peace, escape from the fretting and mental nitpicking and panicking… Great!

Kiya, I think, woke me up… it was a foggy memory in the morning; nothing scribbled on the notepad, and no recollectionings either?

I must have drifted off again when Kiya left… So did get some much-needed sleep… I assume!

Inchcock Today: Short Diary & an Ode

.

———————————–

SATURDAY 23rd JULY 2022

———————————–

I rose, mentally weary and physically so tired. Sweet Morpheus has been unkind to me for a few days. Not much sleep at all.

I pottered about, starting many things and drifting merrily off to such others. Not many saw completion or fruition.
I found some photos that were supposed to have gone on yesterday’s blog. Last night’s meal. A veggie dinner and veggie ice cream, not that the brain was clear enough, but I think it was nice and tasty. I gave the memory an 8/10 score. Apart from the beetroot, which tested my loose teeth. Which reminded me, I must remember the Dentist’s visit on Monday!
arrived and sorted out the medications. I noticed when I opened the new bag that some of the same medicines had shorter-dated packs at the bottom of the drawer. Of course, there were only a few that I could read the date on, thanks to the Cataracts. The carer soon got me sorted. Didn’t want any drinkies or nibbles and left leaving the waste bags in the hallway. I didn’t think to ask her to take them; a new gal is not up with the system yet. Nervous and weary, but nice enough, bless her.
It was a bit colder this morning, a lot, in fact.
I took some photographicalisations from the kitchen window.
Then went on the computer – that was it; I spent around eight hours doing odeing and never got around to starting this actual blog!

Had a shower, shave and a sh… well, we’ll leave that bit. Not that it was a bit. A Constipation Konrad controlled session. Firm, painful and in the end, a little bloody, Harold’s Haemorrhoids suffered.

Then realised I’d not done the Health Checks yet. So I did!

Yet again, an overall lower than ever before result! Phenomenal

I started on an Ode for the top of this blog. And it took me hours to get done. Mind-Blanks! Kungleturds! My efforts were accompanied by Herbert’s mechanical and metal cacophony concert.

Nearly tea time now. It won’t be long until the evening carer is due. What happened to the time?

Mind you, every wee-wee was followed by  , and Little Inchies a few times, which cost me a lot of lost time. I’m still tired, is slowing me down now. I’m struggling with using CorelDraw. The keyboard keys blend into each other. Grollocks!

———————————–

My daily walk through the tree copse mattered…
If I tried it nowadays, I’d be devoured…
By various ailments pains, again and again…

Can’t get up the hill or down in the subterranean…
Would it help me if I took some cocaine?
Or a few more Codeines for the pain?
I’d likely end up an addicted crackbrain?
Better not think of doing this then…
Should I be eating bread that’s multigrain?
I hope the cataract is done soon, my vision to regain…
Oh, dearie me, I need the Throne made of Porcelain…

Bloody Constipation Conrad; he’s barbaric!
I lost blood from the piles, trapped something in the seat of plastic!
The rock-hard evacuation nearly sent me ballistic!.
Sorry, I mustn’t be so melodramatic…
Little Inchies fungal lesion bled; it’s only miniaturistic,
It’s no use me being all nostalgic,
Or far-seeing and nostradamic,
And I’m not getting into a tizwas or panic…
Even with all my ailments, and now I’m osteoarthritic…
I intend to learn how to be optimistic,

Being depressed has been making me feel sick,
As do people who call me a prick…
For having such a tiny man-dick…
Bullies, gangs, fiddling MPs, Doctors charlatanic…
I find these scumbags are lowlife, oxymoronic,
They concern, bother me, even if I’m thanatognomonic,
Dementia Doreen, toys with all things mnemic…
Dates, appointments, names, days… it could be hilaric…
But with me, there are other things to make me feel despotic,
Peed off, humiliated, and depressogenic…
I’ve forgotten what they are; because I’m a schmendrick!

Yet I used to be known as being hyperdynamic,
I’m so fat naturally; I’m not bulimic,
I don’t see the end of mankind as cataclysmic…
If there is a God, our actions must have made him sick…
If St Peter wants to send me back to earth again… Horrific!
One failure is enough for me; that would be so dramatic.
Unless he assures me this time, my man-worm will be pythonic!
———————————–

———————————–

Turned the Computer off and thoughts of food developed. But there are not many choices fresh-wise, and I’m too tired and shaking to bother too much.

I decided first to take some close-up photos of the ankle and feet. Here they are on the left here. The left foot is getting worse, but the right one with the ulcer is far easier and better looking tonight.

The left toes and foot had lost a lot of fluid. The right one was still retaining a lot of water. Walking remains more like hobbling and a smidge risky when the PN wobbles and shakes come on while getting around the flat.

Ah, off to the wet room. A tough evacuation that almost brought tears to my eyes. Washed up, and I medicated poor old Harold’s Haemorrhoids.
Then back to pondering on what to have to eat. Well, I was not interested in cooking, and the tiredness decided me to have a quick snack. A pot of pot noodles, with extra seasonings, added. Liquid smoke and BBQ sauce. A pot of instant potato with liquid salt, soya bacon pieces and more BBQ sauce. A few sad-looking slices of dry bread to dip into the noodles and wrap up some of the potatoes to make a sarnie out of.
The picture looks terribly sparse, unappetising, a pathetic meal. That is because it was all these things!
Yet… maybe because of Sweet Morpheus’s determination that I will not get any sleep, combined with his success in doing this, I enjoyed the nosh. I think a Taste-Rating of 6.5/10 would not be over-gracious?
Even though I fell asleep eating it! Woke and finished it off and drifted into the land of nod again. I think it must have been a deep one, cause I reckon I was dreaming I was sleeping… and great joy was floating in my mind, peaceful…
♫Oh, Susana♫ burst out from the door chime box six foot away in front of me. It jerked me awake, and Valerie came into the room, and instantly the tiredness hit me again. I’d only been sleeping for five minutes! I was hoping to stay in the recliner while Valerie gave me the medications, then I could nod off again when the gal had finished, but no!
Valerie needed some medications, and I got up and hobbled into the kitchenette to get her some from the medicine drawer.

Valerie gave me the doses, and I had a little natter with her. She pointed out that my Stuttering-Stephanie habit was a lot worse tonight. I’d not noticed? Why I wondered? And stayed not knowing!) I can’t remember if I offered her any nibbles or not? I hope I did. I think I stayed in the chair as she left after I thanked her.
But there was no sleeping early tonight for me. I soon realised I’d not locked the door. So, what with the memory of the yobboes coming in at two in the morning still fresh in my mind, I had to get up and go to lock the door – Not a hard task, really…
However, stubbing my toe on the way back against the clothes airer ensured a minor curse word was emitted, thus, cocking up any chance of getting to sleep early!

After an hour or so, I gave up and put a DVD on. Humph!

Inchcock Today – Mon 25 Nov 2019: Mayhem and confusion, and a fair bit of disillusionment! Worra rotten day!

WDP 08R02aWD 0.0.5 01:35hrs: I woke up, feeling instantly depressed at the thought of having to go to the After-Stroke Physio session, knowing how it always gets to me mentally, as well as physically. Then I pondered, have I got the right bus fare? Then it dawned on me; it’s Monday, not Tuesday! (I’m quick, you know. Tsk!)

The regular first thing in need of the Porcelain Throne soon arrived. So I disencumbered my onerously-overweight body from the £300, second-hand, c1968, sometimes working, horrendously tatty, beige-coloured, rickety recliner. The one that xyrophobia-suffering Brother-in-Law Pete damaged, while he was flat-sitting when I was in the Stroke Ward. And he fitted new CCTC cameras, he erected a drone-landing platform outside and searched for my valuables, which he found and took (I still haven’t got them back yet six-months later).

I got my balance and the four-pronged walking stick and carefully wobbled off to the wet room. The evacuation, as it has been doing for a few days now, started on its own accord, was substantial and insalubrious, grungy, and messy again! I had a good clean up of the room, utilities, and myself, then made for the kitchen.

1Mon02

WDPT03LWD 0.0.5 The moment I turned on the hot water tap, hot water flowed from the tap (faucet) over the block and into the sink. Oh, dear! I’ll have to beg Brigadefuhreress and pole-dancer, ILC Warden Deana later, if she can inform the Nottingham City Homes repairs for me. I’ve already got to ask her to call the NHS Medicine team about the appointment they made clashing at the same time as the Podiatrist’s Sherwood Health Centre trip on Thursday. And the Police Pegasus Record people for me. I’m not going to be a very popular tenant again, bothering them! Mind you. That is if the gal is in today? If not, and she’s on holiday or working at another complex somewhere as holiday cover… I’m well-up the creek without a paddle! Confusion and depression were on the way, the EQ told me.

1Mon05I moved the handwashing onto the airers. I kept jiggling them about to get it to dry better as the morning went on.

I then got on the computer and started to get the Sunday post updated. But it was a slow and frustrating job today. The myasthenia gravis finger-ends were alternating between total and partial none-response. So, much time was lost in finding errors and correcting them repeatedly. This got to me, a bit, and my spirits sank somewhat. Having to go bothering people for help with the phones didn’t help much either. I always feel a hindrance to them. They seem so busy all the time. Which they are, of course.

1Mon 01WD 0.0.5 I’d nearly got the updating done when I realised that I had taken the morning medications yet! Tsk! So I made another brew and did so.

Back to blogging. Another hour or so, and I’d posted it off. Then put some pictures on to Pinterest.

Then I made a start on today’s post.

1Mon07The right arm, where I’d burnt it on the oven racks taking out Josie’s smoked haddock last night, began to itch, and I found it difficult not to keep scratching it. So I rubbed some Savlon cream on the little scars, this should ease off the itchiness! And it did, too! Any more medical help or advice you need, just call me! Hahaha!

I went on the WordPress Reader next. Then onto TFZer Facebooking.

WDP 11eLOff to the wet room for a wee-wee. And what a wee-wee it was! Of the MES (Marathon-Endless-Sprinkling) variety. I thought it must be time for dinner when it finally ended! It must have taken several minutes to trickle its way to a final conclusion. I think that maybe, had I used a receptacle to relieve things in, a teacup might have been too big! The pain, as well. Blimey!

I got the ablutions done, so I would have time to try and get down to the Oberuppehfureress’s Holding and Interrogation Cell office, and not be late in getting back for the Angel of Mercy Phlebotomy Nurse’s arrival. Which I didn’t want to be late or miss the beauty of!

1Mon06I got in and stripped off for the cleaning session, and boy oh boy, were the plates (feet) colourless! They were whiter and paler than I have ever seen them before! I could be dead here, and no one has bothered to tell me about it, you know. Hahaha!

WDP 02lb

WD 0.0.5 The day’s ablutions Whoopsiedangleplops are worth recording. Just for the sheer number of them! During my time in the wet room doing my ablutions, I considered giving up, moving to the Guinness home on Colville Court, Nottingham NG1 4HG. Where assistance is available 24/7, for just a few pounds more a week in rent… but realised there would be no point in moving again, I’d only take my bad luck with me. Suicide was not on the agenda. Just a pissed-offedness of 1Mon08mega-proportions. Anyway, how could one leave Jenny, Cindy, Penny, Mary, Gaynor, Margaret, Christine, Angela, Josie, Mo, Deana, Julie etc.. Not that I see them much, but when I do, it never fails to cheer me up. Back to the farcical wet-room session: Oh, the legs looked a little better today.

Ablutionalistic Whoopsies:

  • Dropped the toothpaste tube.
  • Clouted shoulder when bending down to pick it up.
  • Hit the other shoulder on the sink, getting back up.
  • Cut the inside of my mouth, when the autonomic nerves started the right hand shaking as I cleaned the teggies.
  • Dropped the toothbrush.
  • Dropped the razor, three times!
  • It broke on the third occasion, replaced it with the spare one.
  • Cuts on cheek, neck and the ear-hole acquired.
  • Dropped the carbolic soap twice in the shower.
  • Dropped the shower-head, it hit the knee on the way down.
  • Grabbed the towel from the hallway airer, and knocked over the machine.
  • The warmer gave out a little dull-sounding ‘Plump’ as it stopped working!
  • I hit my knee on the shower stool, fetching it back in.
  • Finally (I hoped at least!), I knocked the Sock Glide off of the chair as I lost the old balance a bit.

One of my more interesting, shall we say, shave & shower sessions that one was. (And saying that isn’t easy, Hehe!) Having got the spit and polishing up done, I hastened to get ready for the trip down in seeking assistance.

1Mon09 In the lift lobby, it looked as if the Mysteries of my beloved Woodthorpe Court. That lies somewhere between the twilight zone and a wormhole slipping through a tear in the fabric of space & the universal continuum, illusion, delusion, & hallucination, had been busy again? Haha!

I poddled along, the three-wheeler in front of me, and my mind all over the place. I arrived at the ILC’s Kamp Kommander’s Interviewing and Correctionalisationing Office. The three sweethearts were all in the room, busy catching up with their Tenants Monday morning problems moans and gripes, I should think.

  1. WDP 02aLI explained my problems, starting with the Pegasus form to be filled in, and the silly bit of paper with the return address on, in need of guidance on how it supposedly works. Oberstúrmbannfhreress Warden Deana (Just a cognomen), knuckled down and helped out straight away. She filled in the form from details held on the Nottingham City Homes computer record for me. Then supplied a safer envelope for me to use for posting back to the Nottingham Police Headquarters. Thanks, Deana!
  2. Then, she tackled the problem of the two appointments this Thursday at the same time. The lady who will be calling from the Medicines Team, Leoni will call back to me later when she returns to the office. Thanks, Deana!

I passed the nibbles around, and Deana gave me the envelope to post. Thanked her and walked out to near the bus stop, and posted the form. I went over to the bus stop, and a lady who thought I was going for the bus, stood up let me have her seat, bless her! I explained that I had just come over to offer a ‘Good Morning’ to everyone. No one answered! Haha!

1Mon09aWD 0.0.5 WDP 02LcRI made my way back to the flat, taking a snap of the windblown al-fresco seating area in the drizzle. I noticed that the door was ajar. I pressed the green open button, and a chap came along to tell that I must not push or force the door! I explained to him that I did have to if I wanted to get outside! He repeated that it was a fire door – I pointed out that it is not like the doors in the new Winwood Court, that is how come there, is a green button to press, it does not open automatically, you have to push the door! That is what I have been told. He was not impressed; he just repeated that I must not force the door, tutted and went off in a huff! Humph! I don’t know who he was.

1Mon09bWDP 02lbWD 0.0.5 I got inside the flat, (09:40hrs) and found a note from the Phlebotomy nurse, who wrote she could not get me to answer the door at 0930hrs. Talk about bad luck in the timing. If it hadn’t been for the know-all bloke, who was wrong in what he said anyway, I wouldn’t have missed the nurse! Globdollocks and Rumbustiousness!

WDP 14LWD 0.0.5 Now I have to ring the Sherringham Medical Practise Surgery. It ended up that I have to go to the surgery for my Warfarin blood test. The only slot they have left is for Wednesday at 11:45hrs. Just can’t be helped, though. Not with my rotten, horrendous, continuos, lousy, soul-destroying, heart-attack-prompting, pathetic, suicidal-tempting, crap, horrible luck! But, it doesn’t bother me, mind. Lie01a!

The doorbells chimed-out, and it was Josie, returning the things from her Sunday nosh. Happily, she said she loved it! Which, despite the Whoopsies, cheered me up a tad!

WD 0.0.5 Then Leoni, from the Medicines Management Team rang. To change the Thursdays double-booking with the Podiatrist, at Sherwood Health Centre. Cancelled Thursdays, and made one for Wednesday 4th December for 09:30hrs. Bless her, she made it nice and early for me! ♥

WD 0.0.5 Then the phlebotomy nurse rang me, making an appointment with me, also for Wednesday 27th November, but did not know what time it would be for yet!

WDP 4RI was now in a state of utter confusionableitis!

WD 0.0.5 My head was spinning – My concentration shattered – My will-power was virtually none-existant! – It was gone passed my head-down time! It had gone dark and dank, and the rain is falling slowly again!

And the thought of going to the miserable, pettiness and sarcasm-ridden After-Stroke Physio session in the morning is already lingering ready to grow and develop into a new depression…

WDP 03RWD 0.0.5ARGH! I’ve just realised, with having to stay in all day. I’ve not got the money for the bus fare in change for the rotten, unwanted morning! I’ll have to walk to the bloody-physio work-out now!!! That means two and a bit hours, so I’ll have to leave by 06:00hrs at the latest, and knowing my sodding luck, and the British weather, it’ll probably be raining!

1Mon14WD 0.0.5 Oh, so fed-up! I went to make a brew and think about something to eat. And the door chimes rang out again! It was an Amazon delivery! The mood changed slightly, still not happy, and even depressed, but a twinkling of hope came into my mind – “Aha, is this the Rice-cooker replacement lead! Hahaha!

1Mon13WD 0.0.5 No such luck! It was the monthly Mannen Lemon cream wafers that were being delivered! Ah, well, I should expect something to go right? An absolute, Shlimazel like me? Don’t make me larf!

So, I’ll have some of the quick rice later. Not all that later, I hope. Cause I’m worn-out and mentally drained now.

WD 0.0.5 1Mon11Hello, a noise from the door again, I’ll investigate. Fancy that, a load of junk mail had been delivered for me to enjoy! Well, that cheered me up no-end that did! A good job I live on my own, for the mutterings coming from under my breath, that was not to be repeated in any civilised company! The Houses of Commons, perhaps?

I had another look at the Google Calendar. Now, what needs doing? Ah, the surgery must be contacted, about the phlebotomy, or have they already been in touch with the nurses?

1Mon12

I feel deficient now. I imagine that the electric lead will be delivered tomorrow while I’m out unhappily being glared at and spoken of behind my back, be read to from a book. Listen to crap “You are walking along the beach, the sun is warm, and to paddle along the water’s edge…” or some such so-called relaxing taped talking, and hearing of other’s holidays to Asia, America, Australia. Their latest new car. Their families Christmas arrangements. Going through agony with the exercises from Arthur Itis, Anne Gyna, Maria Myasthenia Gravis and so on, leaving the… oh, I got carried a bit there. Sorry.

I had to close down the computer, through over-fatigue (Mental I think).

1Mon22I got the handwashing done, wrung and hung. Got into the night-attire, and once the meal cooked and served up, tucked into it!

Cooked Turkey, RRQ flavoured rice, with chopped tomatoes and onions added. Some wholemeal sliced cobs, but I only ate two of them. Flavour-Rating: 7.5/10.

I got the pots washed, and settled in the second-hand, c1968, recliner.

I lay for a while, pondering on the things, well, the cock-ups that had come my way today. But did not get around to actually thinking-out any solutions or damage limitation. For once sleep came quickly, defying the mind-blast in my head!

I’m not sure how I got through today’s mighty, mayhem of macabre, morose, mentally-testing mishaps.

Inchcock – Mon 21 Jan 2019: Terrible start to the day. Got betterer, light and heater mended. So tired!

Icelandic: Mánudagur 21 Janúar 2019

WDP001B 00:00hrs. I stirred into a shambolic simulation of life, with the old mind in a state of worryingly mental-mayhem this morning. I was addlepated, muddleheaded and the fretting, panicking and confusions reigned, tormenting the brain somewhat for a while. Slowly the mind semi-focussed, and I saw the tray with the dirty plate and cutlery on the side chair. Signs of nocturnal nibbling were scattered around: an empty crisp packet, a jelly baby in the folds of my stomach, and a sucker wrapper in the waste tub, along with an empty desert pot! Oh, dear! This meant I must have got up out of the £300 second-hand rusty recliner during the night, and gone into the lightless kitchen to fetch the food, surely? But I could recall nothing of doing so at all?

WDP001B An extemporaneous and sudden demand arrived for a wee-wee! I fumbled my way out of the recliner, and stepping on a teaspoon on the way, I lunged for the emergency grey-plastic wee-wee bin, to find it was nearly full! (I could not remember taking any wee-wees last night either?) It turned out to be an LSPWWW (Long Slow Painful Weak Wee-wee) effort. It eventually filled the tub almost to overflowing.

WDP001B I engaged my ‘Had-Enough-Already-Mode’ I hobbled to the wet room, and thoroughly cleaned and antisepticated the grey bin after emptying it. While I was doing this, the need for the Porcelain Throne’s usage arrived. It was a miracle that I was in the wet room at the time. For the evacuation was a five-second-long Diahorrea Donald, Trotsky Terence type, messy and soft! More cleaning up needed!

WDP001B I returned to the recliner room, stepping on the errant spoon again. A silent curse word, a painful bend-down to retrieve the now warped cutlery piece, and gathered the plate and tray and off to the kitchen with them. The light tube was still on its last legs, and I foolishly forgot about this and turned the switch on. Within seconds Dizzy Dennis started off. Oy Vey, already! I left the items on the sink, I’m not going to sort them until it gets lighter and I ca1mon01n see properly.

The wind-up torch was utilised to do the Health Checks and take the medications and medicationalisational activities.

I had to use the torch again, to be able to take this photograph of the medicines.

1mon06

WDP001B I got the computer on and made up last weeks and today’s charts on the Excel record sheet. (During which I had to take two more LSPWWWs!) The readings today were up and down a bit. The pulse had never been lower, the weight and temperature have never been higher. Tsk!

1mon01aWDP001B Back to the Porcelain Throne. (Tsk!) The rear-end evacuation was over, again in seconds. But the follow-up LSPWWW took so long! I read the ‘Catastrophe’ book for a chapter or so. Huh!

This Monday morning’s Whoopsies, and Accifauxpas, so far had not installed much confidence in me for the future of the day. Humph!

1mon05aThe electrician should be arriving twixt 08:00hrs > 12:00hrs, to replace the kitchen light tube. I hope!

WDP001B A few short, light Dennis Dennis visits and two more LSPWWWs came while I was updating the Sunday Diary. So it took me longer than usual by a long way. But, finally, I got it finished and sent off to WordPress.

I began to wonder about these wee-wees, and questioned if I had taken a Furesomide without realising it? But I don’t think so, as I cannot recognise one in the photo with the tablets in it above.

I made a start on doing today’s diary for an hour or so. Then decided to get some brekkie, a pot of porridge I think. I’ll make in the light of the other room this time, to avoid pouring boiling water on my digits again. Hehe!

06:30hrs. Started to get the ablutions done.

An LSPWWW was passed. Then, would you believe it, I had a spot of bad luck. (Hard to comprehend, I know.) Half-way through the stand-up washing session, and the hot water started to run cold! Is today really happening? Or, am I still asleep and in the middle of an incubus nightmare? Mayhaps, it’s the Grim Reaper going soft, and making this day on earth so horrendous for me, that I won’t mind his taking me away? Haha!

I prepared the black bags and recycling bag ready to take down. I can’t take them yet, its too early cause of the noise, and the tube replacement chap might turn up anytime after 08:00hrs.

2019 01a1WDP001B As I settled to update this blog, I suffered some splanchnic pains. But not from Roger Reflux or Duodenal Donald. This discomfort is coming from the lower abdomen. It is a nagging sort of pain, but I’d say only a 3/10 of the pain scale. Might be from the urinary bladder area? This organ is linked to the kidneys and may be why they have made the appointment for me on Thursday. No, Friday. Or not, of course. Hehehe!

I got on CorelDraw and creating some more page top graphics for the diaries.

11:10hrs now, no signs of the Nottingham Homes Maintenance electrician yet. So I made up some thoughts of the morning odes and graphics to use later. Shame, I’d hoped they would arrive early enough for me to get some shopping done. But, Hey-Ho!

12:20hrs now. No light, no hot water and in pain with the mystery pangs. Fed-up as well. I’ll nip out to see if I get some information from the Wardens, and ask them to ring about the hot water, or lack of hot water I should say. It’s the third time this has happened.

Hope to back in a while. I dropped the bottle of orange Lucozade on the foyer desk for anyone to take.

1mon07I’m back But feeling a right Schnook & Schmuck. Oy-Yoy-Yoy! Here’s why…

I set off out, feeling confused and irritated with myself.

Took this photo as I left the foyer, of the centre New Build Winwood Court compound.

Hobbled along to the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights, Generaloberstesses Wardens Temporary HQ. WC, Rumourmongering Clinic. Sarcasm & Insult distribution area. Tenants Socialisationalistic Area. Telling Inchcock off Zone. Crockery and pottery to be stolen from location, and residents porta-cabin. I waved to a couple of passing residents, who acknowledged my greetings. That was good.

Got in the hut, and explained about the tube and lack of hot water. I felt even guiltier when I realised that Lynne and Julie were getting ready to eat their midday meals. Tsk!

1mon07c Julie told me that she said the appointment for the tube replacement was for… wait for it… MONDAY FEBRUARY 4TH! Not today! I wanted to run away and die! Lynne handed me a DVD of the ‘Clarence’ TV comedy, bless her cotton socks.

  • Will I fall asleep if they come late?
  • I can’t dare watch TV, cause if I put the headphones on to view the TV or a DVD, I’ll have no chance of keeping awake.
  • I hope I don’t wake up late for the clinic and blood test appointments in the morning.
  • When should I eat my dinner?
  • Mustn’t forget the medications and Health Checks.
  • How am I going to cope for 16 days with the flashing tube in the kitchen and the ensuing Dizzies that are sure to come?
  • I’ll have to wedge the door open I suppose, in the hopes that they come straight in.

Thanked Julie and Lynne for their help and apologised for things getting things wrong again. Klutz!

I was a little in turmoil as I walked back to the flat. But I saw Willmott-Dixons Perambulator Pete and Ian Incharge as I hobbled along. So took pictures of them I can doctor later.

1mon07a

1mon07bI then saw Penny on her way home from the bus, and I chased after her, she was quick, luckily I caught up with the gal as she was sorting out her door fob. The Lucozade was gone, so someone got made use of it, I’m glad to say.

I told Penny of my woes. We had a little natter and laugh going up in the lift. I enjoyed that no-end.

Got in the apartment, and had what can only be called a marathon LSPWWW. Longest ever one for me. Haha!

Did the Health Checks and took the medications. Then got on the blog, to get details down before I forgot them.

While writing about the concerns, the mobile phone rang. It was Nottingham City Homes Housing Patch Manager, Obergruppenführeress and Ballet Dancer Angela Gould. And boy was I pleased that she read my blog! She’s rang maintenance and got them to call today for both the Tube and the hot water problem. Bless her cotton socks. I was a little mixed up when I was telling her about things, but she understood I think. I thanked her and carried on with this blog updating. In a much cheerier mood.

1mon07dAt 14.29hrs, a cheerful chappie arrived and sorted the kitchen light tube replacement for me in minutes. I thanked him, and off he rushed to his next job.

Now, all I have to come is another electrician to do the water tank electrics. If they come soon enough for the heating to start, I should have hot water in an hour or so. I think it begins getting heated around 18 or 19:00hrs?

I must not sit down, or I know I’ll nod-off, wanting to or not!

I did some work in doctoring the lad’s photos on CorelDraw and Paint. Got them finished. Hehehe! Hope the lads see these and like em!

ToUseNov23.jpg

I went on Facebooking then, adding to the photo albums.

1mon3216:00hrs now. Well and truly past my kip-down time, but still waiting for the electrician. Might as well get the nosh sorted.

Oh, a success! Texas sausages, passata, and chilli-beans. The excellent tasting Aldi sourdough baguette used to dip and suck with. The other ingredient in the main dish was some rusty (skin on) potato chips. A sliced apple and another Limoncello dessert rounded off the feast for me. A 9.2/10 Flavour rating, despite my feeling so tired.

I think I was just at the point of nodding off when the intercom phone burst into life. It was another young man, who came mend the heater that had ‘Tripped-Out’ again. The lad was in and out in around three minutes, all done, now. Thanked him, had a wee-wee, did the last Health Checks and medication taking, and sat down on the £300 second-hand recliner. Got the TV on to try and stay awake long enough to watch a ‘Hustle’ episode.

1mon33WDP001B The instant I got down, Colin Cramps attacked! He had a go at the left side tonight and got carried away. The fingers, wrist, toes, foot, and leg all suffered acutely. And these annoying pains from the cramps stayed with me for longer than ever before.

I kept rubbing in the Phorpain 20% gel on and off for over an hour to try and get some relief. I think, in the end, it had little effect. The cramps just got bored with hurting me. Hahaha!

I couldn’t concentrate on the ‘Hustle’! I drifted off into much-needed sleep, hours later than my usual time and before the end of the programme. (Nothing new there, then!)

Hey-ho! What a flipping harrowing, problematical, health challenging, mind-confusing, busy, and yet heartwarming at getting some support, sort of day it was!
