Inchcock Today – Fri 15 Mar 2019: Windy day, had some chinwags, got some bread and the legs were like balloons. By gum, I lead an exciting life! Hehehe!

ZZZZWA01b

Let’s not forget the lily-livered, chicken-hearted coward, turd-Cameron, who made all this deceitful, false, dissembling, insincere, disingenuous, hypocritical, fraudulent, double-dealing, duplicitous, perjured, perfidious, fabricated, paltering, prevaricating, shifty, spurious, maniacal, muddled, mendacious, meshugge-farce possible in the first place, before he ran away! Leaving Theresa May right-up the creek!

Friday 15th March 2019

Welsh: Dydd Gwener 15 Mawrth 2019

23:25hrs. The repeated SNSWWs (Short-No-Sensation-Wee-wees) had ensured I eventually woke up properly, suffering from clinophobia, but having to get out of my £300 second-hand, pile-encouraging, rickety, ci1968, recliner, to have yet another SNSWW.

The precious EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-wee Bucket), had never been so full. And considering how little was being passed on each visit, I reckon I must have spent more time going to, using and returning from the EGPWWB overnight, than did in the recliner! Oy-Yoy-Yoy! Hehe!

WD 0.0.128a Off to the wet room, in need of the Porcelain Throne. I soon found out that the boil that is coming up on the inner thigh, had been joined by another one or more, they were tender and sore, on the posterior (The poetry comes free, Hehehe!) The evacuation was a painless, bloodless and an unmessy affair. (I felt like Hanukkah had come early!) Hahaha! Rinsed, medicated things in need, and emptied and disinfected the EGPWWB, ready for further use.

WD 0.0.128a Then to the kitchen to get the Health Checks sorted. I’d got as far as getting out the hemadynamometer, and thermometer on the counter; and had to rush back to the Porcelain Throne!

5Fri002However, it was another easy evacuation for me, no bleeding from the rear, only from the boil, or whatever it is, gave me any pain. I checked out the pins (legs). They were a little bloated, some of the papsules and pot-marks seemed to have done a runner, with one new one appearing. No, two, I just spotted the bottom one.

Ah, I’ve just thought of a name for them. The Mutational Alien Pins!-M.A.P., like on the lunar surface! Hehehe!

I rinsed up again and poddled back to the kitchen. Got the Health Checks done, and imbibed the medications.

5Fri004

Made a brew of the Glengettie tea, and turned on the computer. I felt tired now. Considering I’d only been up about an hour or so. Still, with all the waking to use the EGPWWB overnight, I shouldn’t be surprised should I?

But it is a shame. Cause I have to go out today, to get some sample tubes, a pair of shoes that are one size too big, so they will fit over anything the leg ulcer clinic might put on them, and a loaf of hopefully, a small sliced Milk-Roll variety if I can find any.

I started and pressed-on with updated the Thursday post, then got it sent off. Then went on the WP reader. Next, I had a look to see if Facebook would let me work on the albums and TFZer site. All seemed to be working okay.

Made a start on doing this blog. Then turned my attention to things jentacular. I still haven’t bought any more cornflakes, not surprising I haven’t been out for what seems months but is only a few days. Hehe! So, a pot of porridge it will have to be for brekkers.

WD 0.0.128a I got the ablutions all sorted, I had to have a stand-up wash, so I could leave the night socks on because it was just too painful with the swollen legs to get to change them! It was another hurtful enough exercise just getting the new PPs on. This situation is not acceptable! I’ll have to mention it to the nurse at Monday’s blood test. Then again when I go to the Mary Potter Leg-Ulcer clinic on Thursday. He says in full (hopefully) expectancy that they will listen to him!

Still, sometimes the pins can change so quickly, and I might get a bit of walking in today, that sometimes gets them to slim down a bit. The wee-wees had stopped altogether now?

Went to tidy up the kitchen counter.

5Fri007Then I did the second set of Health Checks early. I caught sight of a mini-rainbow on the horizon and opened the unwanted hard to clean, light and view-blocking new window, to take this photograph of it. Not as awe-inspiring or large as rainbows in other parts of the world, but a rarity here. A bit like common sense and logicality are rare in Inchcock and politicians in the UK.

WD 0.0.128a In reality, it was three shots I took, the other two did not come out very well. Those two were memorable only for their blurriness! Tsk!

5Fri005I heard a lot of mechanical commotion as snapped the rainbow, so I bravely (given the last few days Accifauxpa record using them!) got the stepladders out, so that I could take this picture straight down, of the busy-bees working below.

I gathered the bag and three-strong shopping list. Fumbled around checking lights, the stove, the taps (faucets), lights, etc. to ensure things were left in order, and set off, dropping the black bags down the waste chute on the way.

It was windy again, but not a cold one at all. I got to the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights Flats, and Administration shed for the Generalleutnantess Wardens Temporary HQ, Willmott-Dixon workers breakfast and tea-break room, Sarcasm & Insult distribution area, Tenants Socialisation Shed. Rumourmongering Clinic. Telling Inchcock off Zone, Things like porcelain and pottery to be stolen from, and residents shed, to find three other tenants in there. No Guards in, I think some pro-tem ladies were due on site today, according to one tenant. I had a natter with Mary, who was telling me she was still waiting to move to her new flat at Sneinton.

WD 0.0.128a I was a tad embarrassed to, but I asked Mary if I could get my foot up on the chair, would she be kind enough to close the velcro for me, as my legs were so bad and blown up this morning, I couldn’t manage the simple task! She was okay about and laughed, telling me of similar troubles she had suffered! Bless her! A few other residents arrived to wait for the bus with the rest of us. The moaning began! Mary, Roy, and Malcolm all had a little chunter, hehehe! Something to do with pigeon spikes, I think it was.

5Fri09I went out to the bus stop, and the others joined me and those already at the stop.

Mary is in the blue and black coat, centre back. Tom, Elizabeth, Mary, Roy, and the others were still grumbling about something or other. Haha!

I had a laugh and chinwag with the chap on the left. A grand couple, his wife and him are. (Names fail me again, Humph!)

I got on the bus, everyone bar two, got off in Sherwood. I had a pathetic bash at the crossword book en route.

5Fri12When I got off of the L9 on Front Street in Arnold, I crossed the road and went straight into the Shoe Zone shop. I bought the required size-nine brown shoes. As long as they had velcro-closures, felt soft enough and looked sufficiently broad fitting, I was not concerned about style or colour. (But then again, I never am. Haha!)

This pair fitted all the needs, so I grabbed them and took them to the lady at the counter. I think I bought a pair earlier this year of this style, for £14.99. These were £16.99. Hey-ho! Brexit?

Then out and over the road to the Asda Store, and rushed as much as I was capable of doing. Got my three-strong shopping list. The legs felt more cumbersome than they have ever done, and the soles of the feet were very tender when walking. I was struggling somewhat to get about. But, I was not miserable with it, cause I knew that next Thursday, I will be seeing a different specialist to be ignored by. Tsk! I paid at the self-serve checkouts for my three items, without any problems with the machine! Smug-Mode Temporarily Adopted! Two packs of the French baked, small soft baguettes for £3.30, (Asda had none of the Milk Roll bread on the shelves, Grumph! And some part-baked Petit-pains.

WD 0.0.128a I don’t know how or why, but I forgot to get the cornflakes! Klutz!

I hastened painfully and hobblingly out and up to the bus stop, with minutes to spare. I knew the L9 had not been and gone because a chap tenant was sat in the bus shelt5Fri10er.

I made a comment to him about the beautiful sky and got a ‘Grumph!’ back. That was the end of that discussion. Haha!

I took this photo of the amazing clouds in the sky over the car park. While keeping my eye out for the bus coming. I was pleased with how it came out, considering how quickly I snapped it.

Another failed effort at the crossword book on the way back home. In Sherwood, some tenants got on the bus. But none spoke to me, they didn’t see me. (Well, I can’t blame them, I might not have talked to me either. Hahaha!) Doris, Peggy, and Roy were amongst them. Four minutes later, we were back at the flats. I walked back with the chap on the sunglasses from the earlier photo, and we did have a little laugh or two and natter. When we got back to the flats, his other half who had sped ahead, opened the lobby door from inside for us. A pleasant couple, bless their cotton socks.

I sliced some chestnut mushrooms and got them in the saucepan. Put the oven on. Got the cobs put away all bar the ones I will have with tonight’s nosh. No wee-wee demands at all yet? With the legs now seeming so heavy and supposedly full, I would have thought the wee-weeing would be rampant?

Got the last Health Checks done, and made a brew. Then on with updating this diary. After around two hours or so…

Virgin6

I tried the reset button. Why don’t they just call it the Lost Hope Button? Then I turned off everything, losing some work in the progress of course, that needed doing over again later! Oy Vey! No connections, so I tried turning off the computer and back on. No luck! Another power-off, waited a minute and turned it back on. Nowt improved!

WD 0.0.128a I poddled about in the kitchen, got down on my knees (How stupid can one old man be!) The fight to get back up on my feet was agony and time-consuming. This started off the knees. Both of the boils started stinging, and then Anne Gyna joined in with the assault on my body!

Now, I was annoyed with myself!

I limped (literally), back to the computer. Wallah! Mr Fries internet came back on at last! But now I had lost interest.

5Fri11Went to check the legs out.

It was not a pretty sight. I decided to take a Furesomide tablet, now I expect the wee-weeing to start again with a vengeance soon.

Got some chips in the oven to have with the tomato baguettes I was about to prepare for when the chips are ready and serve up the mushrooms with them.

5Fri26Although the flavour and taste were grand, and a worthy 8/10 rating, I’d made too much. I ended up eating only about a third of it, but I enjoyed what I did consume.

The chips and the Halal chicken mini sausages were very flavoursome indeed.

5Fri28Went to made a brew, and poured it out. As I was taking a photo of the evening sky, the dreaded wet and warm feeling came from the PPs Protection Pants.

So, off to the wet room to check on things. Little Inchies fungal lesion was flowing blood again. By the time I had cleansed and medicated things and got back to the kitchen, the tea had gone cold.

5Fri29So, I made another mug of Glengettie tea and took a second picture of the view.

The darned legs felt more substantial than ever, I expect that in the morning when I do the Health Checks, I will see a considerable increase in weight, due to the now bloated more than ever, storage of bodily fluids in my poor old pins (legs).

I hope I can get the pants and socks on in the morning. I’m gonna have to try and get some help from somewhere if I can, if things don’t improve soon.

I got the loose-fitting socks off okay, by trapping them with the other foot and heaving the leg away. But there was no way I could cope with getting the night socks on.

I settled in the rickety second-hand recliner5Fri30 that was born ci1968, and the fretting mind kicked off, just about everything it was possible to worry about, be afraid of, or was not going right hassled my brain.

I sat there with my plates-of-meat and pins on the Ottoman to watch TV, and it looked to me, like the leg-ulcer that had almost cleared-up, was beginning to make a come-back! Fancy-that!

I found it impossible to view anything on the goggle-box, nodding-off and waking repeatedly, I gave up. Pulled the woolly-hat down over my eyes, and drifted off into the land of Nod, for a wee-wee free sleep!

Inchcock – Fri 8th Feb 2019: Sort of day, that one stops worrying about things, and realises Que Sera Sera! You can’t win anyway!

2019 Feb 09

23:52hrs. I woke up, the mind racing, battling incoming thoughts, ideas, and fears. Full of inconsequentialities, unconstructiveness, negativities, and dubiousness. All unhelpful, and ridden with habitual scepticism and lack of logicality or certainty! Eventually, the brain settled back into its accepting-mode of nebulosity and ambiguousness, and I released my overly-puppy-fatted bellied body from the £300 second-hand recliner.

WD128.0.0 The pins were solid as rocks, but less filled with fluid I think than yesterday morning. I’d have taken a photo, but haven’t found the camera yet!

Then it flooded back to me, the horrible afternoon I’d had yesterday. Memories were few and far between, from when I left the Social Hour hut. Thankfully I had taken some photographs to use for updating the Thursday post that tweaked the brain-box a little. Oh dear! Memory blanks, Shaking Shaun and Dizzy Dennis all had a good go at me I reckon!

Off to the Porcelain Throne. An even messier affair than the last one. Still, I found myself gently singing songs to myself as I cleaned things and myself up. Going potty has its benefits sometimes. Hehehe!

Got the Health Checks done, took the medications (Unsure of whether I should take a Furesomide tablet or not. I made a brew of tea.

5Fri001

BP is still a bit high. Hey-ho!

Computer turned on. I’d received an email from the surgery. After all the fuss and hassle of sorting out the four appointments for me, the Shingle injection has been rearranged again. For Thursday 14th, at the same time as the Winwood Social Hour again! My luck is getting thinner on the ground lately, and the new ailments, etc. (Legs, foot, Kidneys, and Back-pain-Brenda, combined with memory blanks and dizzies are getting to me. A chance of Self-Pity-Mode adoption now Hehe!).

Got on with updating the Thursday blog. Then went on WP reader.

No wee-weeing, other than the initial. Should I be glad or sad? Tsk! At least, there has been no dizzies yet, and that’s a blessing!

Spent some time creating this post, and a couple of close wee-wee’s were needed.

I got the ablutions sorted out, no shower this early of course. But the Morrison order should be arriving in an hour (twixt 06:00>07:00hrs), so I pressed on with the scrubbing up.

WD128.0.0 The dull kidney pains started as I got in the wet room, but eased off twenty-minutes later, then came on and off at will for the rest of the day! Tsk!

Where the second Porcelain Throne session was activated. A lot less messy this one, almost a pleasure. Haha!

Got sorted and dressed, gathered the washing bag for the laundry later.

Went on Facebooking while I waited for the Morrison food to arrive.

I couldn’t face any breakfast today. I think the kidney aches are putting me off, perhaps?

5Fri001bAshley arrived with the Morrison fodder for me.

I got it stored away. I now have an almost full freezer, fridge and several storage cupboards. Hehehe! They sent a freebie bottle of cordial, Melon, strawberry and something else. I can pass this on in the shed for someone. The milk bread was not so soft today as usual. Grumph!

I went on YouTube while awaiting the one-off delivery from Ocado.

5Fri002I’ve ordered some Marmite foods that Morrison do not sell from them. And, some Glengettie teabags. Two boxes of the normal Gengettie which is undoubtedly my favourite one of them all. And a box of Glengettie Special Gold teabags to try out! (Others that I am fond of), Strong Assam, Yorkshire and strong English Breakfast teabags, I have in abundance!

5Fri003aWhen the delivery arrived, I sorted it out.

I now have, Marmite flavoured biscuits, Crisps, Cheese, and Rice cakes stored away, along with the Genghettie tea bags and other stuff.

Some very nice looking turnips, and Chinese leaves. However, both are high in Vitamin K, and there is too much for me to eat while they are fresh. So, I took the leaves and two of the turnips with some food bags with me to the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights Flats, and Administration shed, Generalleutnantess Wardens Temporary HQ, Willmott-Dixon lecture room. Breakfast and tea-break room, Sarcasm & Insult distribution area, Tenants Socialisation Shed. Rumourmongering Clinic. Shoplifting training room. Telling Inchcock off Zone, Things like porcelain and pottery to be stolen from, and residents room, shed. If any of the gals are in, they can have a good half of the Chinese leaves and two turnips if they like them. Which will do me a favour, cause it will stop me overeating, cause they are high in vitamin K as well? But Nurse Nichole ♥♥♥ tells me I may eat just a small amount.

I set off down and to the shed, where Obersturmbannführeress Warden and Ballerina Julie was working away. She took the cordial, Chinese leaves and turnips, I’m glad to say.

WD128.0.0 She mentioned that yesterday at the Social Hour: I was spotted falling asleep! I am blown if I can remember doing so. But it is believable with how I felt at the time. Oy Vey! I hope that doesn’t start again, the dropping off at any time, anywhere. Oh, dearie me!

WD128.0.0 I left and returned to my beloved Woodthorpe Court, with the kidney area becoming painful again. But this did not stop me seeing the funny side of the sign on the fenced-off walkway, with the thirty-foot drop on the right as I hobbled by it. Hehehe! I took these photographs and doctored them when I got home later, with Lovers’ Leap wording added to them. Hahaha! I must be feeling a bit better if the humour is returning! As usual, I anticipate regretting having said that!

5Fri004

5Fri007aAs I crossed over to get to the flats, I snapped the bottom part of the building. I think that the new doorway being built on the right, will become part of the passageway through to the being built Winwood Court, and the Oberstleutnantess Wardens Holding cells, offices and possibly the bouncy castle on the roof? Haha!, I said I must be feeling better, I might be, right?

I met Malcolm in the foyer and passed acknowledgements with him.

5Fri08WD128.0.0 As I got in the lift, suddenly I didn’t feel any better, though. Hell of a visit from Dizzy Dennis made sure of that. I got out of the elevator and had to stand to lean against the wall for a while, before carrying on to the apartment. The drilling and dust continue from the workers doing sprinkler-prepping work. Seem and sound decent enough chaps to me.

I checked, but both of the washing machines were in use. Ah, well!

5Fri08aI got in the kettle on the boil.

I perched myself up two steps of the ladder so I could get beyond the ridiculously wide new unwanted window ledge, to take this photograph of below.

I think that might have been neighbour Malcolm in the white car escaping. I know he bought a new white one recently? Haha! He might be off to pick up his grandkids, I reckon. Or go to the bookies. Or to threaten his Bank Manager. Haha! Of course, it might not even be Malc at all!

Then, I can report that I had a four-minute brewed, first ever mug of the ludicrously pricey Ocado Glengettie Gold tea!

Chuffing hell, it was good!

1Mon01

This Gold variety is a blend of Assam and South African black. It has a flowery tang with it; Jolly tasty, but worth the extra cash to me.

The 100% Assam Glengettie is costly enough and not so sweet tasting, so I’ll stick with that one as my 3wed05favourite still. The next best is the Special Morrison Assam. Then the Gold Glengettie.

All three of them put the weak, watery, bland, tasteless but called Strong Twinings Assam to shame.

Sound a bit like an addicted expert tea 5Fri09sommelier, don’t I? Hehehe!

I think I’ll do some sandwiches for the meal today. With perhaps some pickled gherkins, Chinese leaves, tomatoes and a knob of Marmite cheese maybe?

I’ll see how I feel later. The old appetite has lessened lately. Might be due to the kidney problem?

I made a mug of Morrison Special Assam and nipped to the wet room while the kettle was boiling up, just to check that I had not left any lights or taps running. That little walk was hampered by the legs hurting again, not the left heel of the foot though? I had a look at the pins.

5Fri10aThe impression of a face that was above the knee yesterday had changed. But what into, I could not decipher. Ah, is it like a Skoda car badge?

But the legs had certainly got even harder and more fluid in them compared to earlier this morning.

So, back to the kitchen made a brew of Yorkshire tea and swallowed a Furesomide belatedly, with the lunchtime medications and did the Health Checks. BP was still very high.

I spent about an hour updating this blog further, then it started: the wee-weeing! The first one being an LHBLWWs (Long Hosepipe-Blasting like Wee-wee), all following ones were of the LSPWWW (Long Slow Painful Weak Wee-wee) and frequent, mode. I’m getting fed up with this! Hahaha!

Got the cold nosh prepared after another three hours on the computer, that has CorelDraw playing up now! Grumph!

As I got the simple meal served up, the bloody weariness and drained sensation returned again5Fri34, suddenly so tired and weak.

I think that with no one seeming to think these periods are worth doing anything about, is more annoying than the periods themselves. Whoops, a drop of self-pity slipped in there, sorry.

I couldn’t eat anywhere near all of the nosh, Again! Yet it was tasty enough? I expect to get told off for eating white bread and my weight again soon. Sorry, Sister Jane. Hehe!

6Sat03I got settled down very early again, in the £300 second-hand 1968 rusty, rickety recliner with some spring water, jelly babies and got the TV on.

The legs felt like I had worms inside wriggling about, but the redness was getting far less.

The fatter fluid container on the left was now filed more than the one on the right, another reversal from the layout this morning. Hehehe!

As for watching TV: the A-team, Boon and Pie in the Sky… no chance! I nodded off at the first set of commercials during the A-Team!

Waking up hours later, in need of the Emergency Grey Bucket. So often it is hard to recall how many times it was utilised. Any more bits of sleep I got in, seemed to be in ten-minute segments between wee-wees!

Fed-Upski, now! Haha!

Inchcock Today: Tuesday 19th June 2018

ZZZ16d

Tuesday 19th June 2018

Yoruba: Ojobo 19 Oṣù 2018

0400hrs: WDPBL Woke up to Neuralgia Nigel’s stabbing pains giving me some stick, and they stayed this way all day, on and off. Tsk! I’ll ask to see the doctor in the morning when I go for my blood test… Oh, hang on, they have not given me an appointment again? I’ll have to go to the City Hospital for the INR Warfarin test, then make my way to the surgery to beg to see the doctor. Tsk! By the time I get to the hospital, then get two buses to the Sherrington Park Medical place, the day will be gone. Ah, never mind.

It felt a bit nippy this morning, so I extracted my body from the £300 second-hand recliner and got the dressing gown on. Doing this, I noticed how the legs were almost thin now? The water retention must have had a leak? Hahaha!

2Tue01Caught my reflection in the kitchen window as I was getting the Health Checks things prepared. (A bit of a shock, but I’m alright now, thanks. Hehe!)

Took a selfie, to show how pale and pasty I appeared. The blotches had returned as well. Innit odd how I wake up a different person nearly every day?

I like the ghostly hieroglyphics on my forehead. Another mystery, possibly an alien visit during the night? Haha!

I pondered over which ailments were currently hassling me, and those giving me a break. Neuralgia Nigel, we know about, he is very persistent at this time. I could sense I’d been bleeding from the Fungal Lesion again overnight. Must go and clean things up after I’ve done the Health Checks. However, these ailments have ganged up together to all take a break from giving my grief, bless ’em: Haemorrhoid Harold, Reflux Roger, Arthur Itis, Duodenal Donald, Hippy Hilda, Hernia Harry, Dizzy Dennis, Shaking Steven, Collywobbles Colin, Water-retention Rupert, even Anne Gyna at this time, all at peace. A rare event. How kind and sympathetic of them! Shame that Nigel is not in the same frame of mind, but that would be too much to expect.

Got the HC’s done.

2Tue02ad

2Tue02abBrewed up and got the medications taken. No creaming, lotioning or medicating done yet, I think I’ll do them when I get the showering session.

On the computer and updated and eventually posted off the Inchcock Today Monday diary to WordPress.

A call came for me to utilise the Porcelain Throne. But, it wasn’t the usual urgent one, just a gentle reminder. You’ve no idea how this pleased me. These ailments being so considerate can be very worrying to me, you know, Ha-ha! I strolled into the spare room to get some PP’s from the box and noticed how rather fascinating the view was from outside. That blue hue is lingering again, I thought it well worth photographicalisationing.

2Tue02f

WDPBL I’m sorry I did now. I clouted my knuckles getting the camera back inside from the little gap allowed in the narrow opening of the windows.

Off to the wet room. Once again pleasantly pleased with the mission. Haemorrhoid Harold was not bleeding at all, only the Fungal Lesion needed attention and a change of PPs.

Back to the computer and made a start on this post. Spent a few hours getting this far. I must get some new spectacles, and the ability not to tread on and crush this pair!

Getting late now, I’ll have to get the ablutions tended to. I do not want to miss the bus up to the top of Mapperley Plains. I intend to go to Aldi’s to try and purchase another pack of their marvellous tasty pork ribs, to have at the weekend. Although my EQ is telling me that something is going to happen, that will change all my pathetic, poorly prepared and irrelevant plans, soon.

WDPBL One Whoopsiedanglepop right at the end of ablutionising. I dropped the soap powder box and walloped my head against the sink as I bent down to clean it up. What a shlemiel!

I have to listen to my EQ, but can’t understand how it works or sometimes what it means. This would be due to my having the highest ever at the time (2010) EQ rating in England, and in the same interview, they found I had the lowest IQ they have ever recorded. All I know is some calamity is going to take place, and affect me shortly. It’s never wrong. So, I worry not. Quidquid erit, omnis fortuna ferenda est. Off to the wet room for a shower, shave, teeth cleaning, gargling and medicationalisation session.

I had a good long cleaning and medicationalisationing session.

2Tue04I took the black bags to the chute on the way out.

I observed that some strange marks had been made, on the outer edge of the lift door.

Into the elevator and down one floor to visit Penny with some more plasters I have found for her. No answer.

2Tue03

I could see out of the window, why the chaps are so extra noisy at the moment. The underseal they are fitting has white plastic whatever-they-are implanted. They have not reached my floor yet, I took this from the 11th level. I’d called on Penny to give her some more plasters I had found for her. No answer, she might be at the bus stop.

2Tue05Down and outside, I took this first photo of the front of Woodthorpe Court, showing how far they had got up with the undersealing job.

I wonder if this might be the cladding after all because the blueprint photo shows this colour as what the finished block will be in? Multicoloured, you know. Hehe!

2Tue06I turned and took a long shot of the Winchester Court flats.

Willmott-Dixon started on Woodthorpe first, then began Winchester Court upgrading. They are catching up with the first block now.

Throughout, they have not stopped with building the new extra-care block in between the other two.

2Tue07This time of the day, during the week, I get to see many folks. The Willmott-Dixon lads and managers, people, going to or coming from walking their dogs.

Best of all, I can converse with other tenants.

Mind you, I have to take care of the lorries, plant machinery and traffic, no room for a walkway, while the build goes on.

I had a funny thought while hobbling to the hut. One day a lorry delivering building materials, from, say Lithuania, might open its doors and out will pop few dozen immigrants. We can house them in the new ready-made extra-care flats. Haha!

I got to the hut as Cyndy caught me up. Only a few tenants in the room, but all friendly ones. I wish I could remember their names, I’ll have a go; Cyndy, Margaret, Doris, Brenda, Welsh William and Roy. But of course, I have been forbidden from mentioning any communications I have with any Nottingham City Homes personnel or agents, on this blog, by the Management. So, I won’t.

I was feeling better now after having a few natters and chats and felt pleased with the helpful nature and asking of how I felt from some of the clan… well, Mishpochehs (My family) to me, nowadays. Obergruppenfurheress Warden Julie inquired as to my health as well. And I love it! Handed the nibbles around.

But three of them mentioned the blotch on my forehead. Cyndy got out a vanity-mirror for me to have a look. Bless her. I think it was when I spilt the soap powder and clouted my head on the sink, to blame. Tsk!

2Tue08Out to the bus stop and more chinwagging was enjoyed. Caroline, from the Car Home at the end of the road, was with Doris (I might have got this pleasant lady’s name wrong, sorry about that if so), and I was in the middle of listening to tales when the buses arrived. Doris and I were the only ones who got the City bound L9. I said my farewells to Doris, as I alighted a few stops further on.

Walked along to the Aldi store, the taste of their tasty pork ribs was making me lick my lips at the thought of them.

WDPBL Calamity! They didn’t have any in stock, and a lady I asked about them said: “I think they have stopped selling them, now”. My heart sank, and I drifted into a temporary semi-depression and sulking-mode-mood. Haha!

But this didn’t stop me spending a fortune on unneeded, unessential, but I suspect blithesome comfort foods. Social hour nibbles. Fresh orange juice. Strong cheese. OVen 2Tue09Bottom Muffins (Hurrah!). Yoghourts. Beetroot salad. Pork Pie. Fruit Fool. Ice cream cones. Frikadellens. Finally some fresh tomatoes.

Far less well-off now. I struggled with the weight of the bags. The glass bottles caused this dilemma. Grumph!

A certain vagueness of mind continued as I ambled along Woodborough Road to go down Mapperley Rise onto 2Tue10Winchester Street and home. Hard to find the optimum words to describe his sensation.

As got to the bend where the road drops off even steeper, where I turned right into Chestnut Walk, the view was fantastic and so much clearer than the last time travelled it on the way home. As I got down the road a fair way, a view of the complex was photographed, and I zoomed in from the same spot to see the workers on Woodthorpe Court all that way off, too. Not up to Tim Price’s standards, but a fairish effort, I thought. (Smug mode adopted) Hehehe

2Tue11

2Tue12A little nearer and I took another shot. The Willmott-Dixon lads were still busy with upgrading, deliveries and removals.

Not many tenants about, though. In fact, none.

I hobbled the length of Chestnut Walk to the flats without seeing any residents whatsoever.

Got to and through the metal maze and went 2Tue12ain, through the foyer, up in the lift out and into the flat without any human contact.

Had a short, sharp wee-wee.

Put the fodder away and did the Health Checks and took the midday medications.

Found a letter from the Nottingham Queens Medical Centre about the Strangulation Procedure for the haemorrhoids. I found this rather strange and gnomic, as they are being done at the Nottingham City Hospital, or so I thought.

But I appreciate that my memory problems are a ready-made omnium-gatherum of forgetfulness and confusion, disorientation, misleading, even to me. A mishmash of shortcomings, foibles and panic-mode inspiring, self-inflicted preconditions that do not bode well for my sanity. Just thought I’d mention it like.

Put the oven on to heat-up. I plan on having two of the Aldi bought pork frikadellens in two oven-bottom-muffins, tomatoes and chips of nosh today. No football of any interest for me to watch.

Got on the computer to update this post.

2Tue15The workers were right outside my window now. It reminded me of when I worked at Carters pop factory, the noise I mean, but memory fails, and I think this drilling was even louder than the factory. It probably wasn’t, but they gave one hell of a headache. Ah-well! Decent s0rt of lads, I gave them a Nottingham “Aye-up mid duck, you-awl-right?” They replied in a North East accent that they were.

2Tue14The lads finished for the day. Leaving me a new decorative covering of red dust on the outside of the window and frames.

Had a bash on Facebook while the potato fritters were cooking (Changed my mind about the chips).

A super-nosh. I felt guilty about the fat in the Frikadellens though. The beetroot in vinegarette tasting right-grand too! A 9.1/10 Taste Bud Rating was given.

WDPBL Now a mystery of even greater depth than ordinary arrives in my life. I know I bought a packet of oven-bottom-muffins; it is on the receipt. I certainly got it home, I remembered taking it out of the bag.

But, when it came to my wanting to eat them – they were nowhere to be found! I searched high and low, giving up after a while, in case the prepared meal went too cold to eat.

I conducted another hunt for the muffins, after washing-up the pots. No luck.  How did I lose these tasty treats? Aliens? Ghosts or goblins? What a schmuck!

Got settled to watch whatever was on TV. Hoping it would help me get to sleep. This time it did, and I got-off-to-kip earlier than I have been doing. Slept a long time too.

TTFNski, each.
