Sorry for the contents being short on details today.
One of those impossible-to-concentrate days.

Another can’t-get-to-sleep night. But at least I slept in, a reaction from the body mayhap in protest at Sweet Morpheus’s attitude to my requests for rest. So I reckon I’d got nigh on 6-hours of kip, much better.

I didn’t get up until 06:30hrs. A hint of mode came to me when I realised that if I slept this long on Wednesday, I could blob getting the lift to the hospital. Oh, dear!

I got up, had a wee-wee, emptied and cleaned the overnight bucket, and pressed on with getting the sorted. A couple of nicks shaving, but nothing serious. The teggies, shaving and washing etc., went rather well, actually.
With the Porcelain Throne session, though. Unexpectedly, Trotsky Terence took over the bowels this time. What a mess!

I dressed and got the computer on, and did the health checks for today.

Well, what a nice surprise! Still in the Amber.
.

arrived while I was making a brew and looking at what I’d got to eat for dinner in the fridge and cupboards.

Richard got the medications sorted and went and fetched the Flash speed mop and assembled it was a little quick for me to follow, but he kindly went through it again a little later for me. Who’s getting thick in his Dementia Doreen affected days? Hehe! You’re right!

Not only that, he used it… Fancy using someone’s new mop for the first time! It’s taken the edge off of my enthusiasm now, for the first time to use it. Hehehe! Only joking!

I must say he did it in no time. He didn’t move everything out of the way for this demonstration, and it seemed like three minutes before it was done!
Not confident about setting the new pads, but when I’ve done it a few times I should be alright. As long as the shakes don’t come on while I’m trying to fit them. What are the odds you’re offering for that a fit, shake, involuntary leg dance and or that the neurotransmitters don’t go offline when I try to fit the pads the first time? Hahaha!

Richard put the attachments on the old Carers table for me, telling me to leave them there, so you don’t lose them, keep them in sight! Richard knows what’s what. Bless him! We had a little natter, and he had to go; understandably, his bed awaited his attention.

I slipped him some treats, I insisted, said my farewells and thanked him for his help. But something was not right the moment he departed, and I shut the door; EQ told me not to panic… I wasn’t panicking. at least, I didn’t think I was. I thought I was in a good mood after just having Richard helping me. Annoyingly, EQ did not to me speak again? Somethings coming up that do me no good, but what and when? I forgot all about it and went to make a brew of, not Glengettie – for I have run out of their teabags. I could have sworn I had a box of them in the spare room, too! I also believed I had another box of the Co-op 99 teabags, but neither was seeable? Such are the mysteries of Woodthorpe Court, with the ghosts, wraiths, spectres, cacodemons, apparitions, and other grotesqueries that haunt the hallways and lobbies, searching for Inchcock; to curse with bad luck, create ambiguities, abstrucities, perplexities, misfortunes and botherations, to scare. worry and confuse me! They hide things as well!

I took photographs of the morning view from the kitchenette window! When I got around to loading these, I found the top one from yesterday.
I’m pretty certain I did not put it in the Sunday blog.
The morning rain was just bringing down another mini mudslide at the end car park.

I took a shot of the much-missed tree copse. I really loved walking through that up the hill to the Woodthorpe Grange Park every day… sadly I miss the smells and the odd wildlife when walking through the trees… and if anyone was about, I’d talk to the trees and any animals showing themselves to me.
I noticed how full the bottom car parking spaces were, and this made me realise how late I’d got up, and it brought about the worries of me not getting ready in time if the hospital transport came early. In fact, I dreaded missing them.

It cheered me up so, to see it was Nurse Hristina from the Phlebotomy DVT Warfarin Clinic to take a blood sample for the INR reading. She patiently read the Cataract letter for me to see if there were any signs of whether or not they were going to perform the operation on Wednesday – or if it would be another two Pre-assessments. I’ve had six already? When Deana rang the Queen’s Medical Centre Hospital about it, whoever she spoke to said she didn’t know either! Getting fed up comes easier for me! Hristina was very patient with me. ♥

Very belatedly, I got on the computer to update the Sunday blog, going on the WordPress comments section first. After an hour or two, a message came up from Microsoft warning about heavy rain in your area today?

Herbert in the flat above started his banging about again.
I did not retaliate. Although I’m not saying I wasn’t tempted to.
Eventually, very late on, I got the updating done and posted.

l wandered into the kitchen and added some items to the planned meal.&- Roasted veg sauce and some soya imitation bacon bits.

While making a brew, I think whatever EQ was on about affected me.
Not going into detail; just saying that my concentration was abysmal. I struggled to get making a brew of Thompson’s Punjana tea made properly. I decided to sit down for a while to drink the tea. (It went cold)
I nodded off, and I was flabbergasted when about three hours later. rudely woke me up. I thought it might be the evening carer, but no one came in. So I went to the door, and it was Josie bringing back the pots from her Sunday lunch. I was awake enough to ask her if she enjoyed it, and she answered, ‘Yes, very nice!’ That was good!

I went back to the computer, and I started doing this blog. But soon found it unbelievably hard work. Something was wrong; I just couldn’t spell words, understand them, or understand what I was doing minutes earlier… genuinely worrying.

Then the fretting over not getting up in time for the j074:00 > 09:00hr pick-up on Wednesday. Anything was likely to get me worrying at that moment. What’s going on?

Then, Herbert kicked off again. This time I matched each clatter and bang with one of my own, hitting the top[ of the tall bookcase. At least he stopped.
Around 18:20 hours, I got the chilli mixture cooking. Hope the Carer doesn’t come while I’m eating it –  didn’t think of that before.

As I typed that, in walked Carer Jodie. Hehehe! Early tonight, but she sounded a little Jaded. I soon got her laughing with my natterings after she did the medications. Treats in thanks, and off she went on her mission. Hehe!

Got the bean chilli and veg nosh served up. Had the last two brown cobs with it, and a lemon soya yoghourt

Very nice; the seasonings seemed to work alright. The smoked 7- Mediterranean Vegetable sauce suited this chilli.

As you can see, I didn’t leave a lot in the dish. Hahaha!

A flavour rating of 8.2/10 seemed to be a fair judgement. I just hope that the innards don’t start erupting later…
Sweet Morpheus was again reluctant to let me nod off. He relented in the early hours of the morning, and I think I got four-hours-uninterrupted shut-eye!  Then sprang awake, nodded, woke, slept, woke, fell asleep, woke…
Humph!

Inchcock Today: Wednesday November 2nd, 2022

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

I bounded out of the recliner, did some skipping, touching-toes, and a few press-ups, and went onto the balcony for the hip hinges and Tai-Chee exercises. I yodelled as was worked the weights. I gave out a loud “Whoop!” as I made a perfect double-flip-over loop.
NokiaI grabbed my Nokia G400, Android 13, 5G, 128GB, 6GB RAM, Glass front (Gorilla Glass 3.45), aluminium framed, Nano-SIM, GPS, GALILEO, microSDXC (dedicated slot), LED flash, HDR, panorama, FM radio, Type-C 2.0, USB. With On-The-Go Features; Sensors Fingerprint (side & rear-mounted), accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, and barometer. Li-Po 5000 mAh, non-removable. Charging Fast charging 20W – Power Delivery 3.0, N1530DL £345.25 mobile phone, and rang King Charles to see how he was going on and asked if he needed anyone else topping… Hahaha!
02:30hrs: Then I woke up, belched and got the taste of the cheesy potatoes I had last night come up my throat, and I took a swig of Tonic Water I’d flavoured with Roses lime juice – the two tastes did not go well together. But they blended together enough for me to get out of the £300, used, second-hand shop bought nine years ago, c1966, discomfiting, alarmingly Karki-beige coloured, crumb containing, TV remote hiding, not working recliner, on a mission to get myself a good string mug of tea, Glengettie perhaps, to rid my mouth and tongue of the terrible taste.
I caught my balance and was feeling in better shape than of late. Of course, that was corporeal.

Mentally I was a wreck; Thoughts wandered into my mind at will, no chance of me sorting out any that may need attention or were important though… The need for the Porcelain Throne arose. Yesterday morning the evacuation was rock solid torpedo style – knowing my cunning innards have the ability to alternate twixt brick-like torpedoes and slimy-sludge on each visit, I anticipated that Trotsky Terence would be in charge this morning. How wrong I was!
I sat there on the Throne and had to force things along painfully. I had the hearing aids in, so heard a rare plop every now and then as another one of the pebble-sized products was pressured-free, and it was like this for ages!
What made it more frustrating was that I’d left the crossword book in the three-wheeled walker trolley from yesterday! The cracks in the wet room ceiling seem to have reduced? I could only see 21 today? I’m sure there were 34 yesterday?
It must have been a good ten minutes or more before the last of the dark brown hazelnut-shaped turds was pressured into evacuating! What a relief I felt! But not for long; as I got up to clean things, I felt poor warm blood running down my inner thighs. I cleaned things up and gently applied some Germoloid ointment onto the pained area at the rear! Real Relief!
Had a stand-up wash.
I had a farce with trying to put in the Chloramphenicol antibiotic eye drops. More went down the cheek, in the nose and mouth than ever got close to the eyes! I got dressed and took a Senna tablet, just the one, to try to ease the concrete rear-end passengers’ trip to freedom on the next visit.

This could prove to be a mistake if Trotsky Terence makes a comeback on my next visit to the Porcelain Throne?
To the kitchen to make a brew of tea. This time it will be a tasty Thompson’s Punjana The kettle was put on.
I took this shot of the car park below from the kitchenette window. It was drizzling with rain at the time, but I’m blown if I can see any in this rather decent picture? To the balcony…
Where I spotted the rain-induced mudslide from the nearby Woodthorpe Grange Park, had made another entrance into the end car park.
I think there is a drain under the water, but obviously, it isn’t coping very well when we get a rainstorm. The people taking the dogs for a walk and crap go via this route, coming and going… I’ve forgotten why I said this now! Dementia Doreen! I can say this now the Doctor’s confirmed my latest ailment. Hehehe!

Sounded, and in came . I had forgotten to unlock the front door again! apart from giving me a sideways glance and tutting as he came in, he was fine about it. Haha!
What a great Carer Ricard is. As we got into the room, he produced a list in an envelope of all my medications and how much and when they are given. Worra, great chap! I thanked him profusely and pulled out the pink gins I got for him yesterday at Lidl’s. That was a marvellous thing to do for me; another worry over the trip to the hospital was now sorted! Merci Mon Ami, Richard!
I fear he was over-yawning again. But this didn’t stop us from having a little natter and laugh after he gave me the medications.
After he’s left, taking the waste bags with him, I found a bag with some bottled water, a rice meal and chilli in it – it was for Richard! Thanks again, Doreen!

Back to the computer. This time, thanks to Jenny, I was expecting it. Yet an hour or so later, it came back on? And seemed a little quicker. But an hour later, it was back to slow coaching. We’ll see if it goes off again… if they are upgrading, it must surely go off again? Or the upgrading has failed… hard to believe from Liberty Global Virgin Media, Hahaha!

So, I got a meal made up. It looked good, and most of it was fine. Those gorgeous Frikadellens tasted superb!
The tomatoes were just grand and sweet flavoured, both yellow and red ones.
The Lidl Parmesan potatoes, let it down. They were so tasteless! But looked and smelt good? Taste: 6/10.

GC sleepSat down to wait for the Carer to arrive . And that was it until the Evening arrived, and I got a rude awakening stirring me back to life when the chimed from the power box in front of me, forcing a Shake, Rattle & Roll in surprise, and I all but fell out of the recliner!
The lad Jozeph looked so weary and tired, he’s even caught the yawning bug from Richard – both hard-working Carers. It looked so odd when yawned with his facemask on. Hehehe!
I tried to cheer him up. He got the medications sorted. He even cleaned the Pentax measure-dose pot for me and returned it to the carer’s desk. Had to push him to select a can of pop in thanks. Walked to the door to lock it, and he took the waste bags to the shoot with him.

GC sleepI thought I’d try the computer again to see if it was reconnected yet, to update this blog. But my body and mind had other ideas for me… I again!
And I stayed there for hours. But it was an often broken sleep, interspersed with weird dreams. Short odd senseless ones and I woke up after each one. At least, it felt like I did, to lay there trying to fathom out what it was all about, then drift off and have another dream that was short and unfathomable to me. Repetition is the word needed here.

PART RECOLLECTIONS OF THE FIRST DREAM

I dreamt I was an auctioneer...
Folks were bidding to buy gunpowder?
But I knew it was only chowder flour?
Some as they ran to their helicopter…
Said, “Aha, we’ll blow up another tower!”
A policeman I.D.’d himself, a CID inspector…
He asked them to reconsider…
Cause there had no M.O.T. for their copter…
This dream couldn’t have been gimpier!

WD 0.0.255 2 01:15hrs: I woke up to the wind, rain and the pestiferous, infesting everywhere ‘Hum’, that was the loudest its ever been! Grrr! I escaped the clutches of the uncomfortable, £300, second-hand, c1968 recliner with ease! No Arthur Itis grumbling this morning, he’s giving me a breather I think. But, once I was up on the pins, walking stick in hand and on my way to the kitchen, Saccades-Sandra and Back-Pain-Brenda joined in with Toothache Terrie, and my spirits sank back down a tad.

I got the kettle on and needed a wee-wee. It was of the SSPP (Short-Sharp-Painful-Powerful) mode, so I kept the GPWWB (Grey-Plastic-Wee-Wee-Bucket) handily near the computer chair, my EQ told me it would be needed frequently! Took the medications and made a brew of Glenghettie tea, then straight on the computer.

WD 0.0.255 2 I had to create some graphics first on CorelDraw. This took a while, but at least Neurotransmitters-Nicodemus was a lot easier this morning. Then I got on with updating the Saturday post, it was not a good day. The rain came, and the light resisted coming out. The wee-wees that were for some reason tenacious were all of the same style, SSPP (Short-Sharp-Painful-Powerful). The toothache was not too bad after I’d taken the medications.

Eventually, I got the post finished and sent off to WordPress. Then a few pictures to Pinterest. Then onto Facebooking, which, with me not getting any done yesterday, cost me a few hours.

I did a couple of graphics, then had a bash at the WordPress Reader section.

7Sun10a

I made a start on Josie’s plate layout while her potatoes, cheese, butter and onion salt, and peas were laying ready to be mashed and served up.

7Sun04Ablutions time. I don’t want to look scruffy when I take Josie her Sunday lunch. I’ve not seen her this week, I’ve called at her apartment a few times.

Another decent ablutionalisationing session again.

I took the new long socks in with me, the get on after the teggies, shaving, showering and medicationalisationing etc. I just hope they will be comfortable and long enough.

A few, as-to-be-expected dropsies. The only bad one was after the session when I was leaving the flannels in the sink to soak in disinfectant and liquid soap flakes; I dropped the bottle! A bit of cleaning up needed. The sock-glide battle was a draw.

7Sun05The pins (legs) looked to have more colour. But it was most likely due to my having the wall convector heater on. Feeling a touch more vibrant and smelling nice, I made a start on creating Josie’s meal. Well, vibrant was not the word, erm, err… perhaps, Feeling not so bad, is a more accurate way of saying it. That was until I tackled the sock-glide, although no injuries or 7Sun08knocks were suffered, I discovered that the new ‘long socks’ were not so long after all! Ah, well, my own fault for buying the wrong ones! Pillock!

WD 0.0.255 2 I got everything meal-wise prepared and was about to get on the computer to do some graphics, and I realised the handwashing still needed doing! I changed direction to go back to the kitchen, lost control of the stick, and bounced into the door frame! If I remember correctly, I think I said out loud, something like; “Well, fancy that!” The bad thing about it, was, that I caught my chin on the frame, and now the blasted toothache is really giving me some stick!

7Sun09I then got the handwashing done, rung and hung. A more challenging job today, t-shirt, the weighty jammie bottoms, socks and the thin dressing gown.

I pondered a while, should I take yet another pain killer to ease the tooth? Hope the Dentist can fit me in tomorrow, and also, that he 7Sun06doesn’t (but he will) charge me for the appointment I missed!

Went to check on the cooking for my meal, and it was like someone had turned off the light! The rain was coming, on and off. By the time I’d checked the fishcakes and cheesy potatoes, it was light again. Storm Dennis? Phwert!

I got Josie’s dinner ready and served it at her door. She was in good form today, bless her.♥

Then I got my cheesy potatoes in the oven to crisp-up and did some computer catch up. Then I tended to the meal, still wondering if I dare take another painkiller. I resisted it.

WD 0.0.255 2 I moved the dressing gown and hung it in the wet room, but the wall heater on, with the intentions of turning it of in a couple of hours. (In reality, I found it ten hours later, when I went in for a Porcelain Throne session, on Monday morning! – the dressing gown was dried! Oofta!)

7Sun11I got the herring in sweet onion and pepper sauce left-over from Josie’s plate, and I sliced a black Ibera tomato. Kept checking on the fishcakes and cheesy mashed potatoes in the oven.

Got a Rumpole of the Bailey DVD in the player, ready to watch after the fodder-intaking.

7Sun12What a feast of a meal today! Cheesy mash, baked in the oven to crisp up. Garden peas (not so good, from Lidl). Herring in sweet onion and pepper dressing, black tomatoes, battered fish cakes. Onion relish, and two wholemeal cobs. A light lemon yoghourt for afters. Taste-Rating of 7.5/10.

WD 0.0.255 2 But, I paid for this treat, with a load of washing up to do, from both meals. I cut my finger on the tomato slicer. Dropped and broke the tea-bag pot! Spilt the water on the floor when emptying the bowl. Sad, innit?

Got settled early to watch the Rumpole on the DVD. Fell asleep after a few minutes, and wondered what the noise was, surely the ‘Hum’ can’t be this loud!

WD 0.0.255 2 I got up, fell over, thanks to Arthur Itis’s sudden attack in both knees, got myself back up with the aid of the four-pronged stick and the Ottoman for leverage, and went to the kitchen to have a look around to investigate this odd, loud noise. It was the rain pelting down, and wind galing around the flats!

I returned to the recliner, restarted the DVD from the beginning, and fell asleep again. A couple of hours later, I woke up again, with a start! As I considered getting up back for another poke around to see what might have shaken me from my reverie… but decided not to bother, and promptly nodded-off again! Zzzz!

Inchcock Today: Mon 31st Dec 2018: Best if it is forgotten! Humph!

Dec 31 2018

Monday 31st December 2018

Monday 31st December 2018

23:40hrs. I woke and stayed where I was, preciously perched half-on, half-off of the £300 second-hand rickety recliner. The mind deep in muddled, confusing thoughts. I spent a few moments trying to reclaim some recollections of the dream I knew I’d been having, and that it was not pleasant, could no memories were found lurking in the brain-box. Various bits came to mind for the day… The Asda (Walmart) delivery is due twit 06:00>07:00hrs. Another jet of wee-wee was building up. At least on the Furesomide, although the powerful evacuations cause splashbacks and a little pain, at least I get some warning beforehand now. What time is it? (Good heavens 2340hrs!) The fluid retaining legs feel a lot easier this morning. Hello, a Quick visit from Dizzy Dennis and Reflux Roger is kicking-off. The stomach is rumbling. Why are some of the Papsules bleeding? Maybe I might have been scratching them during the night? Did I take last nights medications? (I found out I had later, Phew!) I wonder if Nurse Nichole will do me today at the blood test? I mustn’t forget the Doctors appointment either… on and on the mind waffled to itself!

WD128.0.0 When I eventually tried to remove my hog-like body from the recliner, I felt Inchies Fungal Lesion crack and bleed, at precisely the same time a message arrived from the innards, telling me to get to the Porcelain Throne without delay! (I recalled at the time, thinking this does not bode well for the day’s fortunes, circumspection needed methinks. Hehe!)

WD128.0.0 Avoiding knocking anything down or any toe stubbing, I was off of the chair and got to the wet room and onto the Throne. (The legs felt a lot better, but the left ankle was giving me some grief) The splattery evacuation was all over within about ten-seconds! The cleaning and medicating of Little Inchies lesion took about ten excruciating minutes! Humph!

WD128.0.0 Another slight Dizzy Dennis spell as I left the wet room. I went to the kitchen to take the medications. Adding an extra Simvastatin to counter the ever-active sticking Roger Reflux valve!

1Mon01

Made a brew of good-strong Assam tea, and had another LHBLWW (Long Hosepipe-Blasting like Wee-wee).

WD128.0.0 While sitting at the computer making up the above graph of the INR Warfarin test results… I felt itching on my back, just below the neck, and it just had to be scratched! Which turned out to be somewhat of a problem for me, as I could not reach the spot that needed attending to. I tried up against the corner of the door, but this was very awkward and painful as I could not control the amount of pressure I was applying.

1Mon01aWD128.0.0 Then I tried using the small ‘picker-upper’ stick to apply some Germolene cream and have a good scratch at the same time, but this proved to be a bloodier approach to the problem! Hehehe!  Puzzled by what it was I was having a go at, I set about manipulating my right hand with my right hand and forcing the hand to reach to the area. I had a feeling about the session and decided that it was small boils that were the problem! I guessed at this by the blood and yellow/greenish puss on the tissue. Now, I have discomfort from both arms, elbows, wrists, and shoulders as well! Klutz! I’ll give the area a good rinse after the shower and try to apply some cream on it.

Another LHBLWW and I got the weekend diary post finished off. It was sad reading when I edited it, but a few times I found myself laughing out loud at my own antics. Hahaha! I sent it off to WordPress.

I went on the WordPress Reader section.

Made a start on this blog. I thought about having a bit of brekkie but resisted.

Had an SSWW (Short-Sharp-Wee-Wee) for a change? Then another one, five minutes later, Tsk!

Got the ablutions done early, no showering of course yet, too soon.

The Asda man delivered at 0615hrs.Thanked him and got the fodder sorted, after yet another SSWW!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Got updating this blog, and consumed the Raspberry Ripple later on.

WD128.0.0 Shame it didn’t taste like I remembered it did. Ah-well, likely the old gustatory cells stiff out of sync or tilt, with the ailments being like they are?

1Mon07cI got the baked beans in the saucepan with the seasoning, to marinate for use later. I’d decided on beefburgers for nosh today. I’ll buy some while I’m out.

At 0800hrs, I took the black bags to the waste chute and deposited then.

Got to think things through now. Dr Vindla at 11:20hrs, INR Blood Test at 12:00hrs, must remember to ask about the QMC appointment to see if they have it yet. Being holidays, I imagine it will be a few days before I am advised. Can’t be helped.

1Mon07bTook my shower and got things ready.

WD128.0.0 A quick snap of the morning view from the unwanted new light and view-blocking kitchen window, a fumble around to see if I’d forgotten anything. Glad I checked, I’d left the tap running.

1Mon08Off I trotted, down and out onto Chestnut Walk.

AS I limped along, I was overtaken by a few other inmates. I was limping along even slower than usual this morning. A tinge of jealousy overcame me, seeing the others getting a move one s they belted by me. Hehe!

I called into the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights, Generaloberstesses Wardens Temporary HQ. WC, Rumourmongering Clinic. Sarcasm & Insult distribution area. Tenants Socialisationalistic Area. Telling Inchcock off Zone. Crockery and pottery to be stolen from location, and inmates porta-cabin, and managed a natter with a few others, but they were apparently in the same mood as I was, and poorly with it. They also looked a little the same as me, in appearing to look so tired-out. Bless us all!

WD128.0.0 Disastrous news was given to me, that revealed perhaps, why the gloomy looks were on the faces of my fellow inmates… The L9 bus service is being taken off! Some of our residents were told this by the drivers. I am hoping and praying it will prove wrong. How do we get to the shops, surgery, blood tests and clinics without transport in bad weather?

1Mon09I got on the bus with the others and dropped off on Winchester Street Hill bottom. Where some disgusting Nottinghamian Street Art had been freshly deposited on the pavement. Some poor devil had taken a step in the wrong direction. Eurgh!

I set off along Mansfield Road and up the incline. I was moving at a fair rate of knots for me but was coping well with the pace for once.

1Mon10WD128.0.0 Near the top of the hill, the usual Royal Mail van, with the same two drivers sat in it, had parked in their regular place, right across the pavement.

I managed to walk by, on the inside giving the chaps a look of disgust as I did so, banging their mirror on the way by. How are people with prams, disabled carts, shopping carts supposed to get by, without going on to the road to do so?

I got myself to the surgery and logged in. WD128.0.0 Had a bit of a dizzy spell in there while I was sat doing the crossword. Tsk!

DR Vindla did various tests and seemed pleased with how the fluid retention had gone down in the legs and told me to carry on with the Furismide and come back to see her on Monday week. She needs to monitor the effects on the kidneys and liver. The QMC appointment will arrive next week in the post. She did not mention any blood-tests other than confirming today’s. I would imagine, I’ll get an Email from them when the results come back on the test I am about to have. I was dismissed, and returned to the waiting area, to be called to the Nurses room. I opened the crossword book (neither session on this book today, proved very auspicious).

Bit of luck then, it was Nurse Nichole who came to collect me. Luckily, the bleeding took an age to stop after the test, thus expediting a short but so-pleasant nattering session for me. Thanked the gal and handed her some nibbles for the New Year, leaving a bag of nibbles on the reception desk on the way out.

Once outside, I really didn’t feel well at all. A partial visit from Dizzy Dennis, the innards rumbling and fear of wee-wee escaping all made me nervous. So, I went to the nearest shop that sold beefburgers (Carrington Co-op). I selected a pack of four Co-op brand burgers from the freezer. That was the only choice they had!

Out to the bus stop, I went, and caught a bus within a minute, back up to Sherwood. Right timing too, (I thought at the time anyway), there was about five minutes before the bus was due. Four other tenants were also at the shelter, and a chinwagging, laughter and snide remarks were enjoyed by all, while we waited.

WD128.0.0 And I mean, waited! The bus was twenty-minutes late when it arrived, and the bladder was being tested like never before. I was scared stiff of being embarrassed if things should burst-forth, I had the PPs on but felt these would not cope if the Furosemide activated LHBLWW did arrive. WD128.0.0 It did so as I thought about it! I felt so ashamed and flustered! I tried to stand as far away from anyone as I could on the bus, and placed the bag in front of me, in case anything showed-up. The short trip up the steep hill seemed to take ages. I got off the bus first and dare not stop to talk to Cyndy and Roger who spoke to me… I made my way as quickly as I could to the flats. The other of course caught me up and passed me by.

Hell, I was so glad to get inside. Straight to the wet room to sort myself out. The PPs had coped better than I expected them to. The lesion had been bleeding. So, off with the clothes and binned them, under the shower for a long session of cleaning and freshening. While I was taking a shower, another unstoppable LHBLWW evacuation arrived! This state of affairs is getting to me now! Finally cleaned and changed clothes and did the Health Checks, the BP is very low again, and I wasn’t feeling too good. I put this down to my embarrassment factor. What will I do if this happens again, when no L9 buses are running?

I am now, sorry for myself, depressed and in a state of utter dysphoria. A nervous physical and mental wreck!

1Mon11I got the nosh sorted. I must be doing something right, cause I ate it all up. Beef seasoned baked beans with beefburgers, sourdough bread and a lemon dessert.

Flavour Rating of 8.8/10!

I got the things in the washing up bowl. Did the Health Checks. Then I got myself into the £300 second-hand recliner.

Lots on the gogglebox to watch.

Zzzz!

Inchcock Today: Sat/Sun 29/30th Dec 2018: Wee-wee splash-back like a hosepipe! Depressed Weary and Poorly, and the body growing like Robert Morely! Tsk!

Punjabi: ਸ਼ਨੀਵਾਰ 2 ਦਸੰਬਰ 2018

23:25hrs. WD 51.2.51 I woke, and the first thing that registered in my muddled brain was the unbitten tomato sandwich, squashed into the folds of my bloated stomach! The mind simply accepted this fact, without any expostulatory self-recriminations. Then it moved on to other concerns, and, with a degree of clarity in there too! This, I found surprising and worrying, such a rare stance for my grey-cells as I gain consciousness in a morning?

I removed the belly-dwelling sandwich and had a feel about of the legs. Again, I was surprised, to find that the fluid build-up seemed have gone down a little. Surely one-half of a Furosemide tablet, taken ten hours earlier, seemed to have made some effect already? Or, maybe, was being hopeful? The usual morning struggle out of the £300 second-hand rickety, rusty recliner was not as severe as usual, and I thought I might be right about the fluid retention going down a bit…

WD 51.2.51 That was until I caught the swollen tibialis muscle against the corner of the Ottoman! I take it back, perhaps the fluid is not going down after all. Hehe! A decent purple-blue bruise appeared in seconds. Tsk! But, of course, the pain meant nothing to a man like me. (Lie Mode Adopted!)

I Iimped on, muttering to myself as I did so, to the kitchen to get the Health Checks done and the medications were taken. The legs seemed to swell up as I hobbled on, and were rock-solid again by the time I got the few paces to the kitchen.

6Sat05

6Sat03My sphygmomanometer worked on the second attempt. The new thermometer which I was conned into buying worked, but I still can’t hear the ending beeps, even when the thing is in my ear-hole?

The readings for Sys, Dia, and pulse were all rather low this time. The weight, had gone down a bit? The temperature was looking good to me.

GC blue f03WD 51.2.51 I took one Furosemide with the other medications, and off for the usual SSWW (Short-Sharp-Wee-wee): which after the Furosemide being taken last night and this morning, have now turned into LHBLWWs (Long Hosepipe-Blasting like Wee-wee). Cor Blimey! I got splashback all over the place. You wouldn’t believe how much and how far it went – well, I can’t believe how much and how far it went!

I took me ages to get things cleaned up. I have now positioned three plastic bins, one in each room. Humph! No going out today, then. I do not think the Protection Pants would cope if another blast like that one comes along uninvitedly. As the paperwork that came with the Furesomide said: “…blocking the absorption of sodium, chloride, and water from the filtered fluid in the kidney tubules, causing a profound increase in the output of urine – never a more accurate statement read! Hehehe!

WD 51.2.51 By the time I’d got the sorting outdone, another LHBLWW arrived! Forearmed with knowledge now, I made use of the grey bin in the kitchen and avoided the spray-back… well, most of it. Humph! I might run low on disinfectant and Germolene cream soon.

6Sat06I went on an EIBWBBBs (Evil Ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles) search and destroy mission. I got the 5p coin ready on the kitchen towel to photograph any prisoners I caught.

Something else hard to believe – I didn’t find a single Weevil, dead or alive!

I set about updating the Friday post. Considering all the mayhem and overabundance of events suffered on this day, I was pleased with how the end product came out. Titivated it, and got it sent off to WordPress. During this process, I utilised the thin deep grey bin three times for an LHBLWW!

6Sat15

Emptied and disinfected the grey ‘Emergency bin’, and went to make a very small mug of tea.

While waiting for the kettle to boil, I took five photographs from the unwanted or liked light and view-blocking new window. I tried each one in a different option on the camera. To see how they compared to each other in taking nighttime shots of the same view.

WD 51.2.51 Unfortunately for me, I forgot to make a note of each one’s mode it was taken in! What a Nebbish! Here the yare, anyway. Tsk!

Back on the computer and made a start on this blog. Just the one LHBLWW needed.

Checked the Emails, then went on the WordPress Reader.

6Sat07I spotted that the papsules on the back of the left hand were returning again? A mystery these are. I forgot to mention them to the Dr Vindla yesterday.

Still, I can get another chance on Monday when I go for another Warfarin INR blood test and my appointment with the doctor. I think the original meeting might have been about the memory blanks and forgetfulness? But I forget for sure. Haha!

I went on Facebook to update with the TFZers and get the latest photographs in the albums.

The legs seem to be filling up again now, far more than when I woke up… what’s going on here? Tsk!

6Sat22I’ve decided to get some brekkie now.

I’ll go and have a forage around to see what fodder is available… Tomato sarnies, pickled gherkins, and chestnuts with a drop of hoisin and balsamic sauce, so I can try both of them out.

Not keen on the balsamic sauce, a little too sweet, but the Hoisin was tasty and tangy. As brekkies go, a Flavour Rating of 5/10 for this one.

I spent hours on CorelDrawing and making a few more page header graphics.

WD 51.2.51 A Blank Spot followed. And I found myself waking up in the £300 second-hand recliner, in need of an SSWW, which again turned out to be an LHBLWW.

6Sat23Dizzy Dennis paid me a visit as I got the meal prepared. I wish I hadn’t bothered now.

I think the taste-buds have gone off a bit again. Pork ribs with seasoned baked beans and a defrosted cob. To me, it all tasted horrible, not just not nice. I left most of it, and I usually would gobble up all of the seasoned beans.

I felt suddenly drained.

I got the pots soaking in the washing up bowl, had another LHBLWW and into the night attire and on the recliner. Despite my weariness, it took me ages to get off to sleep! No hobbles, you see?

Scots Gaelic: Didòmhnaich 30mh Dùbhlachd 2018

23:42hrs. I bestirred with the belief that I had been sleeping for so long like never before, and must have overslept by hours and hours! Then realised it didn’t matter in the least if I had overslept, no medical appointment today. Had grope of the fluid affected legs, they seemed in the same condition as they were yesterday, which was less solidly swollen than the day before… I waffled a bit making that statement didn’t I. Tsk!

WD 51.0.0 As soon as I tried to move my pharaonically-stomached body from the £300 second-hand recliner, I realised I was wrong about the state of the legs. Fair enough, they did feel less filled with fluid, but, oh boy, the pain when I stood up! From the top of the legs down to the ankles were positively painful, every time any part touched against something… like the floor! Ah-Well, nil desperandum! No doubt now the blood’s starting to move, it will ease off in a while.

I shuffled slowly and carefully to the kitchen, when I saw the clock, I realised I had only been asleep for about four hours!

WD 51.0.0 I was getting the Health Checks and medication taking things ready, when the innards erupted and despite the condition of my legs I hastened frantically, quicker than I had ever done before, to the wet room and the desperately needed Porcelain Throne! I did not make it in time! An uncontrollable liquified evacuation. No more details should be told. Nuff said! A lengthy cleaning up session took place.

Back to the kitchen and the Health Checks.

The flipping sphygmomanometer was not in the mood for playing this morning. It took four tries before it worked. Tsk!

7Sun01

I found a blobby patch of whatever it was on the lower right arm, and the papsules seem to have changed colour again?

WD 51.0.0 I made a brew and took the medications… no sooner done, than the stomach rumbled and grumbled and it was back to the Porcelain Throne in another hurry!

7Sun05WD 51.0.0 I got there with a few seconds to spare this time (and was so glad that I did!) Splattering and spluttering, this evacuation was more liquified than ever. But, I could sense… well, I could feel squidgy activity, brewing in the innards still! So, expecting another wet discharge was imminent, I remained  where I was and had a read of the ‘Catastrophy – Europe goes to war’ book, having now finished the Clarkson biography, I thought I’d get back to this exact detail-filled massive (Hardback 628 page) history book, filled 7Sun07awith so much delineation that, it is perfect for an opsimath like me.

And, I got it for only £10 reduced from £30, at The Works – discount store on Long Row in Nottingham City Centre.

As to whether I’ll live long enough to ever finish reading it, I don’t know. Hehehe! As I awaited the threatening onslaught of the third evacuation, I pondered on this thought. I decided that the cleverly manipulated changes in human behaviour, conduct, demeanour, outlook and accepted protocols, is of benefit to the elderly. Who surely must feel less bothered about snuffing it, seeing the madness of mankind, cruelty, lack of empathy and greed getting worse all the time? This train of thought, cheered me up a bit. I got side-tracked again there, sorry.

WD 51.0.0 The third evacuation arrived, less of it, but even wetter than the first two of the day! Nuff said again!

The tummy continues to emit warning signals, even now. The odd rumbling session and occasional little stabs, of mild discomfort. I fear things may be on the move yet again soon. Where the heck is it all coming from! I hope I will be able to get to the surgery tomorrow for the blood test and doctors visit.

Went on the TFZer Facebook page.

7Sun10Feeling peckish, so got a breakfast prepared. Chips, bits of Polish Pork Boczek, beetroot, tomatoes and onions.

Watched a YouTube Dvd while eating it. I nearly ate it all.

Went on CorelDraw to another try at getting some page header graphics done.

Managed to get a few done before Dizzy Dennis called again. I must mention this to the doctor in the morning.

Zombielike I just sat feeling sorry for myself…. fell asleep so early… but I needed it I think if only to escape the discomfort I was feeling.

Sister Jane rang. Not sure what was said. I do recall telling her of the side-effects of the Furosemide, I think.

Zzzz!
