Croatian: Petak, 22. veljače 2019

00:30hrs. I woke, remembering a bit of a dream. I was underground in the dark tunnel and walking towards the exit door, which bore a neon sign above it; “Freedom beyond – Have your bus pass ready!” Suddenly, I realised I did not want to escape anymore. That’s it really, all I can recall, and my walking back into the darkness?

Getting out of the £300 c.1968, second-hand rickety recliner was a little more difficult this morning. Due to the pain from where I banged my right leg against the corner of the chair arm yesterday, at the Social Hour.

WD 0.0.255c The first of the day’s wee-wees arrived. The Emergency Grey Bin was utilised. It was an SNSWW (Short-No-Sensation-Wee-wee), as was the one I had to take just five minutes later?

Off I went to get the Health Checks done.

5Fri001

5Fri001bThe results looked fair enough to me.

Not the weight of course. The pulse has been high all week.

WD 0.0.255c Off to the wet room for another wee-wee, this time of the SSPWW (Short-Sharp-Painful-Wee-wee) variety. Tsk!

2019 Feb 22While wee-weeing, I had to change tack to cope with the sudden demand for a Porcelain Throne evacuation that arrived! Messy!

The legs were checked, only a slight bruise where I banged the leg, but masses of thick spider-veins had appeared.

5Fri002The famously distorted right knee had changed its shape again. I can see no faces in it this morning. The wound is looking far less like that of a saprogenous type.

More like a lunar landscape perhaps? Hehehe! Oh, off to the grey bucket again.

I washed and went to the kitchen to make a mug of tea.

5Fri003aWD 0.0.255c I tried to do a panoramic shot of the view from the unwanted light and view-blocking new window.

But, I failed on around eight tries to get it to record one on this old Sony camera. I was unable to hold the thing steady enough to take the panoramic shot. So, I made an ordinary one of the early morning lights of Nottingham.

I got on the computer and made a start on this blog.

Had to have another wee-wee. They seem to have settled back into the SSPWW (Short-Sharp-Painful-Wee-wee) style, now.

At 02:30hrs, I heard a dull bang from somewhere. Five minutes later, I heard a louder thud? I hope someone has not fallen over, I’ll put the hearing aids in, so I can listen in case I hear knocking again and try to locate where it is coming from. All I can discern is that it came from above my flat. Fingers crossed there is no one in trouble.

02:45hrs. I got this post caught up with to here, then went onto updating the Thursday Post. This will take a while.

05:45hrs. Blimey, it did ages as well! Along with nine SSPWWs. I got it posted off, then went on the WP reader section.

06:00hrs. Went onto Facebook, to catch up with the TFZers and photo albums. This took a while as well. Plus, three SSPWWs.

5Fri0050720hrs: Brekkers time now. I’ll have the sarnies I couldn’t eat last night, with marmite crisps and a mug of tea and watch a YouTube clip or two. Back soon.

As soon as I stood up, the body seemed to come to life: I needed a wee-wee, the wind began spontaneous emissions of wind from the rear end, the hiccups started and the worms in the leg wound became active! Hehehe! Don’t know why I’m laughing? Had to empty the Emergency Grey Plastic Bin before I could use it. Tsk!

08:55hrs: Guess who fell asleep in the computer chair, only waking up as started to fall off of it? What a Plonka!

09:05hrs: I set about creating some diary page graphics and then made-up some drafts.

11:55hrs: I’d got a few done. Feeling tired already. Then I made a start on the drafts done and saved to file. Accompanied by four SPWWs.

WD 0.0.255c 12:45hrs, a lot scraping and tapping noises coming from 5Fri007above. I expect it might be from either the Sprinker work or BJ doing his model making.

I finished the drafts in full. But, I only managed to get ten done in total before I felt so drained and tired. Poor old thing!

15:00hrs. I’ve had it now, drained.

Did the health checks then, I got the cooked bacon in the pan with the baked beans. I left them on a low light to keep warm and marinate with the added mustard and BBQ seasoning. Put the chips in the oven.

In between wee-wees, I got the Health Checks sorted.

Served up the meal. I thought at first when I got it on the tray, that I’d made too much for me to eat again. But, not this time, I scoffed the lot!

5Fri29

5Fri30I took the things to soak them in the sink bowl, and the sky colouring I thought was worth recording.

As I was clicking the button on the camera, it became apparent that I needed the Porcelain Throne yet again – urgently!

WD 0.0.255c Oh, Boy! Trotsky Terence was on good form this time. Talk about messy in the extreme! Perhaps having the seasoned baked beans was a mistake? Hahaha!

I got me settled to watch some TV… Zzzz!

Inchcock – Thur 14 Feb 2019: A difficult to understand, disconcerting, beyond my comprehensibility sort of day. Regrettably!

Thursday 14th February 2019

Polish: 14 Lutego 2019 r

4Thu03aWd BLACK 23:40hrs. As I woke up, the brain was a torrent of many confused thoughts. A breach of the peace of my mind. I wasn’t sure if I was still dreaming or not, but I was musing over my being in a condemned cell, playing Monopoly with a chap I thought was my executioner. The themes changed, but over the next fifteen minutes or so, I always seemed to come back to the distempered brick walled cell, and my being beaten into Monopoly bankruptcy by the hangman. Who incidentally was wearing a pink hood, while the rest of the visions were in mono? The side thoughts and fears were all involving nerterology of some sort. These mystifying ponderations eventually dissipated into the ether, as a wee-wee was required. Luckily, I scribbled some notes on the pad on the Ottoman. For when it came to my writing this blog, all actual memories of any dreaming had gone, apart from the picture of me in the cell, which I tried to reproduce in the graphic above.

Getting my abdominally weighty body free of the second-hand, 1968 rusty recliner, was done with no problems or pains. Amazing how things are so different from one morning to the next?

Wd BLACK Ah, back to the SSDWWs (Short-Sensationless-Dribbling-wee-wees) again. Always difficult to judge whether they have finished or not, so, extra care was needed to be taken. Tsk!

I went to the computer to turn it on and saw the reminder note hanging on the screen. The Doctor today 0850hrs. Leg problems, falling asleep all the time, kidney pains, Furesomide, and hosiery availability. I put this note into the jacket pocket straight away, so I didn’t forget to take it with me to the surgery and made sure the INR Anticoagulation and Arterial Thrombosis clinic record card was in there too. This made me remember the nibbles for the nurses and staff, so I put them in the bag.

Had another SSDWW, then I got the Health Checks done.

4Thu001a

4Thu01Wd BLACK Aha, I expected this to happen, especially as I am off to the Doctors later; The BP has come down suddenly. Huh! The temperature and pulse are still high though.

I’d just made a brew of tea, and had to nip off to the wet room to use the Porcelain Throne. The evacuation was a bit messy and with a little bleeding.

4Thu001 Wd BLACK When I checked the pins, the blood papsules, welts or whatever they are on the ankle, were a little more vivid this morning. But dry, no leaking at all.

Another SSDWW, they are coming a bit regularly at the moment. Oh, dear!

Made a start on updating the Wednesday blog, and within minutes, another Porcelain Throne visit was required.

Sept 11e

The thought of them coming back!

This one was far less messy and with much less bleeding. However, the aroma that accompanied the evacuation was so strong, I had to shut the window in case it attracted any Scarabaeidae (dung beetles – surprisingly there are 40 species in the UK!) who might have caught a whiff, to join the Weevils in the flat. Hehehe!

As I wrote this, and not having seen any EIBWBBBs (Evil ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles) for a while, I looked up on the web to find out if they hibernate. I found out that: Boll weevils do hibernate in winter and before sleeping they produce many further generations. The female can lay up to 300 eggs over a 10 – to 12 -day period! They come out of hibernation in Spring it says. Argh! I’m glad I’ve got some sprays at the ready for when they relaunch their attacks!

Oh, the memories of my losing battle with them haunt me. The thought that they will return pees me off!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Got some brekkers. Marmite biscuits with a round of Marmite cheese, and a mug of tea and few Scottish Shortie biscuits to round it off.

Ablution sorted. Did the midday Health Checks in case I am back too late from the surgery.

4Thu04I set off out: the weather was not too cold at all as I plodded down Winchester Street Hill.

Left onto Mansfield Street and first right along Marshall Street and onto Mansfield Road, turning left towards Carrington.

I was feeling pretty good in myself, apart from 4Thu05a few wobbles here and there, but they were not proper dizzies, just a loss of balance. Likely due to the blood pressure, and the water retention in the pins.

I ambled along, no rush, I’d given myself plenty of time to get to Sherrington Park in time.

4Thu05aWd BLACK At the Library, a Nottingham Pavement Cyclist nearly hit me as he sped by me from behind. Too quick for me to get the camera out.

Near the top of the hill crest, an idiot of a disabled scooter rider was travelling on the road in the bus lane! Unbelievable!

Wd BLACK Down the hill and into the surgery. I was instantly cheered when a lady asked me if I was feeling alright! “Fine thank you” I replied, she added: “Well you don’t look it, very pale you are!” I’m not if this was due to the water retention or the Warfarin INR level being so far out.

I logged in and had to nip to their WC for a wee-wee. Back to the waiting area got the crossword book out. But the concentration was terrible, and I didn’t answer many clues today. Dr Vindla came out to call me in.

I thought it would be polite to start with “How do you feel now you’re back from holiday” and threw her a smile…

Busy!” came the reply!

I handed her the notes I’d made of things of concern.

Furesomide: “Have you been taking the Furosemide?” – “No, I’ve run out! – “Why?” – I asked for some and was told it would be best to wait for your return before getting any in case you wanted me to stop them!” Her fingers flashed on the computer keyboard, and she told me that, “A prescription had been sent to the chemist a fortnight ago and not been collected!” Although I had not been informed about this, I felt a right fool!

Showed her the new welts and papsules on the ankle top. She had a poke about and took a swab from the wound. Called Nurse Ann into the room (No nurse Nichole for me today! Sob!) They both had a prod around, and I was informed that after the sample had been analysed in a day or two, I would be contacted to go to a Treatment Centre somewhere, whoever can fit you in, and be examined. Also, they will sort out some support hosiery for you if needed!

I mumbled my thanks to her.

“You can go now,” she said. Pointing to the other door in the room, “That way, and don’t forget Nurse Ann will put a dressing on that wound!” Me: No, thank you very much! Head down and off out and sat in the nurses waiting area.

I was called in and told to sit down! The blood was taken, and I handed her the Anticoagulation record. She took the blood sample and said: “Press hard on that, right!” So I pressed hard on the cotton wool. As she set about putting some cream and a large plaster on the leg wound, which was uncomfortable with my pushing down hard on the arm vein and leaning against the arm on the trolley top to aid the pressure, with the other foot spread out in the opposite direction being medicated. Hehehe!

The kidney examination and the Shingle injection are both booked for next Thursday, now. And don’t forget to fetch the Furesomides from the pharmacy! “Thank you” I sheepishly replied.

4Thu06I left her some nibbles and departed to the receptionist. Left them a box of the chocolate wheels.

Just so glad to get out.

I made my way to the Chemists in Carrington. Scarily I caught my reflection in the barber’s window: By Gawd the lady was right, I did look very pale! Tsk!

The pretty young lady in the chemist then asked me if I was feeling alright? If I looked that bad and poorly, how come no one in the surgery said anything? Confusion-Mode-Adopted!

I asked for the medications. She looked confused and summoned the pharmacist. He told me that I came in two weeks ago, and I was told that the next monthly prescriptions would be ready around the 2nd March! Yes, I said, but I do not want them, the Doctor told she had sent a prescription for Furesomide… He interrupted: We have not received any prescriptions for Furesomide for you! As I was saying, the Doctor told she had sent a prescription for Furesomide two weeks ago. It’s just that no one told me!

Ah, yes. And then, he went behind his counter and gave the said medications to the pretty girl, and he pretended to look busy and spoke to me no more!

Am I going mad, or did all this really happen to me? No wonder I’m looking pale!

4Thu07I went into the Lidl store and came out with a fresh ready-made dinner, nibble-box top-ups, crispy onions, tomatoes and a bag of very costly, but classy Swedish, or was it Switzerland made nougat. Which, of course, I will limit myself to eating just one cube a day, and not overdo it, cause it has a lot of sugar in it. Ahem!

4Thu06aThis Nottinghamian Pavement Cyclist shot by, and I am sure he did not even know or was bothered about how close he came to hitting the lady stood in front of me. Git!

Now a little concerned by my pale appearance and the uncomfortable medical experiences, I caught a bus back to Sherwood, to get the L9, up the hill to the apartments.

The timing looked good. 4Thu08Dropped off in Sherwood and crossed over the road and met resident Roy doing some window shopping.

We tried to have a natter, but both of having low voices and suffering hearing loss, it was a bit ridiculous.

The bus arrived on time and soon had us back at the apartments.

I popped into the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights Flats, and Administration shed for the Generalleutnantess Wardens Temporary HQ, Willmott-Dixon workers breakfast and tea-break room, Sarcasm & Insult distribution area, Tenants Socialisation Shed. Rumourmongering Clinic. Telling Inchcock off Zone, Things like porcelain and pottery to be stolen from, and residents room.

With them medics seeing me early and rushing me through, this meant I could catch the last few minutes of the Winwood Social Hour. But, most had left by then. Had a natter with BJ outside the hut, and went in. Jenny was in good form, telling me off for me not telling the doctor people I could not attend Thursday meetings. I did mean to, but the confusion over so many things, appointments, treatments, and ailments is my excuse for not doing it. Hehe!4Thu09

I think maybe I still looked a bit pale, cause Frank and Shirl asked if I was okay, and they don’t usually. I said mt farewells to Cyndy, no, she’d already left, Mo and Shirl, not many other folks in there, and departed back to the flat.

4Thu10As I hobbled along back to the apartment, I took these two pictures. The top one of Winchester Court with Winwood Court on the left in the image.

Then, on the left, a shot of Winwood and Woodthorpe on the far left.

Met no one on the way up to the number 72. Got in the flat and the first thing that I did was to take a Furesomide, with the other medications. Put the bits away that I’d bought, and got on the computer to update this dairy before the memory faded.

Wd BLACK Ten minutes or so into starting the updating, oh boy, did the wee-weeing start! And they were of the LHBLWWs (Long Hosepipe-Blasting like Wee-wees), And they came and came for hours and hours. Just one Furesomide tablet has caused me such discomfort it’s unbelievable!

Wd BLACK Little Inchies fungal lesion is now bleeding!

I am now, so irritable with the day, myself, and everything!

4Thu12Wd BLACK Even made a right mess of cooking the Cumberland pie, I dropped it and made a right mess! Substituted it with the Dirty Fries and a pie slice.

Got it prepared eventually. Ate it in misery, having to break off for more wee-wees. Already I’ve had to empty the Emergency Grey Bin!

Even the bloody legs had gone white in support of the face. Now the stomach has started aching, I don’t believe this! I’m fed up! Sorry about that, a little self-pity-sorry-for-myselfness sneaked in there. Tsk!

4Thu20Got the nosh sorted. This was a little hot for my liking, but I still enjoyed it mix. Dirty Chips with various cheeses. I added some tomatoes, roar dried onions and a meat slice with some American BBQ poured on the pastry.

A taste-Rating of 7.9/10 for this meal.

I got settled in the £300 second-hand rickety recliner, with some biscuits and sweeties in case I woke up and wanted a nibble later on.

I recall wondering if I should bother trying to watch some TV… And off into the land of Nod, I drifted.

Not waking for a wee-wee or any other reason for a solid seven-hours! Yet I still woke up feeling tired.

Ah-well! TTFN!

Inchcock – Thursday 7th February 2019: The day started off well – then got worserer and worserer, mentally and medically! Humph! Tsk!

Thursday 7th February 2019

Finnish: Torstai 7. Helmikuuta 2019

GCPram23:40hrs: Woke and tried my best to recall a dream I’d been having. About childhood and schooldays I think, I can’t recall any detail at all, but have the ‘feeling’ that I didn’t enjoy it.

The urgent call to the Porcelain Throne arrived, so I manipulated my grossly stomached body from the £300 second-hand 1968 recliner, and off to the WC. Amazingly, I had little bother getting free of the chair, standing up or hobbling to the wet room at all!

GC scowl Wd BLACK Got settled on the Throne, the evacuation took all of three seconds and was a right messy-sloppy affair. But this did not grab my attention much at the time, because the moment the movement began, Back-Pains-Brenda kicked-off around the kidney area, lower back on the right, and has stayed with me on and off all day! It feels like an intense but dull aching pain, no stabbing, just persistent while it lasts, and that varies from ten minutes to an hour or two? What next! Oy gevalt! I rubbed plenty of the Phorpain Gel into the area, but do not have a lot of faith in it doing much to relieve the situation. I dare not take any extra painkillers, cause I’m on my maximum allowed at the moment. What with Duodenal Donald, Arthur Itis’s knees and the left ankle and heel; now being joined by Brenda-Back-Pain and the kidneys. I wonder if the back pain is splanchnic? And boy, am I tired all the time lately! At least I got to book an appointment with Dr Vindla for next Thursday. I hope things don’t viliorate in the meantime. But I suspect my own senescence will be the cause of whatever this new debilitating ailment turns out to be.

Got the porcelain cleaned up and disinfected, washed the dandies, felt sorry-for-myself and went to get the Health Checks done. As like yesterday, I was getting the accoutrements gathered, and had to have a wee-wee again. Today, they seem to be of the SSNSWW (Short-Sharp-No-Sensation-Wee-wee), variety, up to now, anyway.

Back to the kitchen again.

4Thu001a

4Thu01At least the Sys and Dia had come down a good bit. The temperature had gone up a tad. Not that I fully understand it all yet. As for the weight, I’d sooner not mention that; else it will get Sister Jane annoyed and set her off on one her ‘Shame-Inchcock-For-being-Fat-Missions’ again! Hehe!

Got the medications taken, and had to trot back to the wet room for another Porcelain Throne session. Tsk!

4Thu02Another super-quick, spurty, liquified, messy evacuation.

Checked out the pins (legs). They seemed to have far less fluid in them this morning. Still misshaped and rock hard though. And now, the left leg is bigger than the right one – opposite to yesterday. Confusing, innit?

I can see an unhappy face just above the Arthur Itis affected left knee in this photo, it even seems to have a moustashe! Can you? Hehehe!

I started to update and finalise the unhappy Wednesday blog. Got it finished and posted off and went on the WordPress Reader. Then caught up with the comments.

I caught up with Facebooking, which took a long time, a really long time with all the photos I’d missed putting on the albums. Klutz!

I gorrit done, eventually, Phew! Now I’ll get some brekkers! Had some porridge.

Got the ablutions done, and sorted out the nibbles and prizes for the Social Hour and got them in the bag.

4Thu03aWd BLACK The pins and ankle were starting to kick off again. Ah, well!

The drizzle looked threatening, but not to me, I was only going to the Social Hut today. Cause I didn’t feel all that good. Poor old thing, Hehe!

Took the black bags to the waste chute, and set off down in the lift and out onto Chestnut Walk.

4Thu04Angela was waiting to go out, I got the umbrella out and covered her as we hobbled in the rain to the hut. I turned to take a photo of Woodthorpe and the New Winwood Court and the Oberstgruppenführer Wardens new holding-cells and offices.

I got in the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights Flats, and Administration shed for the Generalleutnantess Wardens Temporary HQ, Willmott-Dixon lecture room, Sarcasm & Insult distribution area, Tenants Socialisation Shed. Rumourmongering Clinic. Telling Inchcock off Zone, Things like China crockery and pottery to be stolen from, and residents room. A good crowd today, but I with my feeling under the weather and the damned legs giving grief I was struggling. Then Dizzy Dennis joined in the ‘Let’s give Inchcock more pain’ brigade.

I feel sure I enjoyed most of the meeting, but memories are not specific. Jenny I recall was on good form, bless her. I think I left early, cause I found photographs that triggered memories in the morning.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

I got in and did two Health Checks straight away, and took the medications early, cause my EQ told me I was about to fade alertness-wise and this means memory blanks. Feeling-sorry-for-myself-Mode-Engaged. Tsk!

4Thu08I grabbed something to eat, eggs, sausages and bread with a dessert while I was still awake and aware.

I know this cause I found this photo on the SD card in the morning.

The wee-weeing seems to have stopped altogether, don’t know if that is good or bad, cause the legs are filled up and hard, still?

4Thu09I do vaguely recall taking this beautiful shot of the sky later. I think.

I fell asleep at a ridiculous time and just kept on waking up, the TV on, nodding off, waking up, nodding off, waking… well, you get the idea.

Terrible night!

I must get all this written down, to tell the Doctor about things.

TTFN.

Inchcock – Thurs 24 Jan 2019: Busy, busy day.

Thursday 24th January 2019

00:30hrs: After a most disturbed night trying to stay asleep (I’m sure I was awake more than resting all the time, Tsk!), I woke feeling drained and with the mind racing away over worries, concerns, etc. Within a minute or so, the summoning to the Porcelain Throne arrived. I struggled out of the £300 second-hand rickety recliner and off to the wet room. Where I remained for about ten-minutes, sat on the Throne.

WD 0.31.0 Waiting not for the big evacuation to end, but the side-show of the wee-weeing to finish! A new LSPDOWWWSOPs (Long-Slow-Painfull-Drawn-out-Wee-wee-with-spurts-of-power) Mode this morning. I’d taken three of these over the next half an hour. Tsk! Cleaned-up, and returned to the recliner.

WD 0.31.0 Where I found multiple signs of nocturnal nibbling. Guilt-Mode Adopted! No wonder I felt so tired, I must have been nipping to the kitchen cupboard and or fridge all night long!

The mind pretended to function, and I pondered over the needs of the day. Morrison food arriving twixt 06:00>07:00hrs, the nibbles and prizes need sorting for the Social Hour, this diary must get done before 05:00hrs, so I can get the ablutions done before the fodder delivery comes, the Laundry has to be fitted in somehow as well. Oh, and I have to get some filled Enoxaparin Syringes from the Chemist soon.

The mind gave up on me, and all I could think of was getting the Wednesday post done and posted.

Did the Health Checks and the medications were taken.

4thu001

4thu001aSYS and DIA down nicely. Overall a good set of results methinks.

Had a Wee-wee, and got on with updating the blog.

WD 0.31.0 I had to go again a few minutes later, and this time I could not make it to the wet room in time. I had to use the stand-by emergency bin. The wee-wee took so long, I nearly fell back to sleep, stood-up! The sudden spurts in power were a little more abrupt, too. I was amazed at how filled the bin was. I’m so glad I didn’t take any Furosemide earlier!

Cleaned up again, and started the blog once more. Got it finished and posted off. Went on the WordPress Reader section, then, after another marathon wee-wee, I made a start on this blog.

Added some pictures to the Facebook Albums.

Ablutions tackled next. No shower, cause of the early hour. So a stand-up jobbie, like in my young deformative years (Hehe!), but with hot water and not having to heat water up on the stove… and the pleasure of not using a cut-throat razor but Bic disposables. Ah, and no ice forming on windows. And, having electricity supplied. I don’t really miss the old days that much! Hehehe! I left facecloths soaking in washing powder and disinfectant in the sink.

4thu01Had a look at the fluid containers (legs) to see if any new welts, boils, scars or bruises had arrived overnight.

All I could see that had altered was the blue mark on the shin had somehow wholly disappeared? Only to be replaced with a dark blue welt above the left ankle. Oh, and the fluid content difference between the pins!

4thu02Every day something different! Wasn’t that a catchphrase in an old advert on TV?

I departed the wet room, only to realise I had left my alarm wristlet and watch inside, so I returned to collect them.

WD 0.31.0 And found just one very dead EIBWBBB (Evil Ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetle) with its legs seemingly shrunken? He or she was on the sink edge. If anyone can explain to me how, this dead weevil had appeared on the sink, five minutes or so 4thu03aafter I had just put the clothes in to soak and it wasn’t there then… I would appreciate it. Baffled-Mode-Engaged!

The Morrison delivery arrived at 0700hrs. It looked like I’d gone over the top a bit again? Haha!

Readied the nibbles, raffle prizes and pressies. Left the cream cakes and wine in the fridge. Hopefully, I won’t forget to pick them up when I get out.

09:00hrs. Got the things checked and gathered and off to the jolly old Social Hour.

4thu05The fire door at the outer corridor end was wedged open, a door matt at flat 70 was in use, both of which I thought had been banned since Grenfell fire.

A mini obstacle course was manoeuvered around. Dropped some back bags down the waste chute, then down in the lift.

4thu05aDropped the bag of recyclables at the caretaker’s door. I didn’t disturb him, because he was on his mobile phone.

I took a snap of Winwood and Winchester Court.

The hobble along to the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights, Generaloberstesses 4thu06Wardens Temporary HQ. Handily placed WC. Rumourmongering Clinic. Sarcasm & Insult distribution area. Tenants Socialisationalistic Area. Telling Inchcock off Zone. Crockery and pottery to be stolen from location, and residents porta-cabin.

Before entering the shed, I snapped this shot of Winwood Court and Woodthorpe Court.

Not many folks at the Social this morning. But all seemed to enjoy themselves, and a few natters and laughs were enjoyed. I tried to wangle a gossip with Jenny, Nora, Doreen, Cyndy, Gaynor, John, Frank, and others.

4thu06aI decided while in there, to get the laundry done. On the walk back, I saw how close the thirty-foot drop was to the new walkway we have to use until the turning circle for the buses is completed.

Hopefully, none of our alcoholic dipsomaniac residents will use it and topple over in doing so. Hahaha!

4thu07Access to the Woodthorpe Court entrance looked a bit dodgy as I limped in the drizzle along Chestnut Walk.

It must be terrible to getting access for the delivery drivers.

When I got in the foyer, I checked to see if any machines were free, and both were. So I hastened up to the flat and brought down the 4thu08washing and got the short cycle going.

As I went back up, Nora got out of the lift with her washing too. We had a short natter as best as two auditorily challenged people could. The wee-wees had reverted to the SSWW (Short-Sharp-Wee-wee) style.

Up and started to update this blog until it was time to go down and move the togs to the dryer. It was lovely to see, Mo, Gaynor and Big John sat there in the lobby. I got the clobber into the dryer. Much mirth, merriment, chinwagging, reminiscing and laughter flowed between us. Nora came down to move her washing to the dryer. I checked, and my stuff was almost dry enough. We had another laugh and natter between all five of us, as I removed and packed up my washing and cleaned the filter and helped Nora get her things into the dryer. Nora also helped me, when I dropped some socks on the floor, bless her.

4thu09I departed the company I was enjoying and back up to the apartment. Noticing a new poster on the lift foyer wall.

Had an SSWW. Got the oven warming for the meal.

The door chime rang out. It was the workmen who are calling tomorrow to do the pipework fitting and prepping for the Sprinkler System.

4thu25They told me they would move the heavy stuff for me. I thanked them both. And updated this blog to here, and got the nosh cooking proper.

Now the weariness came in floods. I could have worded that better!

I managed to view a complete episode of the ‘A-Team’ before nodding off!

Inchcock – Thur 17 Jan 2019: Uncontrollabilities caused unconventionalities today. I think!

Thursday 17th January 2019

Norwegian: Torsdag 17. Januar 2019

00:15hrs. I woke with the new big bruise on the leg stinging and aching something rotten. Then my concentration changed, and I pondered over the task of moving the flats stuff around in preparation for the visit from the demolition men to install the pipework for the new sprinkler system. Would I make it to the Social Hour today? Will the bruise and feet allow me to walk okay when I get up? Little Inchy is bleeding, ah, no signs of nocturnal nibbling. Eventually, my wandering brain returned, to the moving the things around problem, so much did it concentrate on this, that I decided to get up straight away and get the computer on to check the Google Calendar for the timings. Despite the Clinomania that hovered in my mind.

I extracted my obeast stomach-supporting body from the £300 second-hand rickety, rusty recliner, without much bother. As soon as I stood up, the new bruise let me know its displeasure. I’m still not convinced this is a bruise. The type of pain it gives are nothing like the ones the multitude of other bruises gives me? But if Dr Vindla says it is, then it must be.

2Tue03 First thing I did was get the computer on, and check the Google Calendar. Oh heck! I found that it is not on this Thursday, but next Thursday that the men are calling to do the pipework! Another Cringe-making! Whoopsie! Sheepish-Shamed-Faced Mode Engaged!

As I got up to respond to the call to the Porcelain Throne, the new bruise gave me more stick and pain than I thought it should be doing. And during the evacuation, I felt Dizzy Dennis trying to issue me some hassle, but only very mildly. I do not need him to kick off again like last night. Else my brain will end up being useless to me. Not that it is all that concentrated or useful as it is. Hehe! Tsk!

I got the Health Checks done next.

4thu001

4thu001aNow I have cut down on the Furesomide; the BP is creeping up. Well, I think it is, I’m not sure what if means when the Sys and Dia both go up?

Still, not complaining. The fear of Dizzy Dennis returning, this dang bruise making walking difficult, and the feet are top of my worry list this morning. Of course, things can change in an instant. Hehehe!

4thu01The wee-wees were thankfully back to an LSWW (Long-Sharp-Wee-Wee) mode this morning. Although the legs were not yet freed of all of the stored fluid. Once again, the spider-veins had mysteriously moved and changed colour and or positions.

The bruise came out looking like a scar on this photo? It doesn’t look anything like so severe to the eye, just the lens of my old Sony camera?

I got with this blog, so I could record things while still fresh in my head.

Then went on to finalise the Wednesday Woes post. Then I made a blog page of Tim Price’s Brilliantly written and composed song titled: “Inchock’s wonderings while he’s wandering through the many streets of Nottingham” This one is with the correct lyrics. I made a mess of the ones I put in my previous blog. Sorry Tim, now you’ve saved the day by giving me the proper wording, I couldn’t wait to get it posted! Cheers, Mate!

2Tue03 I was so pleased with myself in getting it done correctly, at last, I held on to a wee-wee for a while, as I finished it off – Oh dear! Boy am I suffering now! Agony seems the most suitable word! Hehe! Why am I laughing? Still, Dizzy Dennis and Shaking Shaun are leaving me alone.

4thu02I decided to get one of the pots of the porridge I got yesterday for breakfast with a mug of tea.

2Tue03 I’d like to give a tip for anyone making one of these pots for their brekkers. Don’t squeeze the tub too hard when you pour in the boiling water. Tsk! Klutz!

4thu05Went to wash the mug, and my keen powers of observation noticed it had been snowing a tad.

4thu05aSome snowflakes had lingered on top of the vehicles, rooftops, and the grass, but most of it had melted now.

I got the ablution sorted next. A stand-up wash, 4thu03awith it being too early to use the shower for fear of disturbing my neighbours.

2Tue03 These throwaway Bic razors are getting blunted quick lately? Humph!

I ran out of shaving foam and had a search for the spare one. Took me a few minutes to find the new one.

4thu04I took a picture of the pins after cleaning up. They are definitely holding less fluid now. Gone down noticeably. The blue almost circular papsule that had come up on the left leg had gone, leaving signs of it at all?

Also, I didn’t see a single, not one I say! Evil ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetle (EIBWBBB) anywhere!

I’d finished the ablutions with time to spare before the hour for the Morrison Delivery arrived. (0830 > 0930hrs). They may be late with the snow perhaps.

09:30hrs, no Morrison delivery yet? I went through the bag to make sure I had all the prizes, nibble, etc. there.

About 09:50hrs, the landline light lit up. It was the poor old Morrison delivery driver saying he’d be arriving in about ten minutes. Which he did. He’s been stuck on the A453 in traffic, and it took him an hour to travel a mile and a half! There are a lot of roadworks going on in that area. True to his work he arrived when he said he would. I have to say, they couldn’t help the traffic, yet they knocked £5 off of my bill and sent me a free can of light ale in with the order, and a sample of six mini-bottles apple juice; which will be nice for me to take the medications with.

I hastened to get the fodder stored away, put the light ale in the bag for an extra nibble for whoever fancied it at the Winwood meeting. Grubbled about checking things were left safe, and off to what was left of the Social Hour.

4thu24It was colder than I had expected out on Chestnut Walk. Frost on the road and cars still. The sun was fighting its way through, though.

By the time I got into the hut, there was precious little time left for me to socialise much.

My arrival was not one of the best I’ve had. I’d missed the raffle etc. too. I got the nibbles handed out, but no time to natter much, the box went round and came back almost emptied, but I didn’t get the usual opportunity to take it around and have a gossip as I did so. Jenny, Cyndy, Margaret, Doris, Gaynor, May, Doreen, Beryl, Frank, William, BJ, John and others were all deep in their conversations. But they did seem content enough bless them. And a few laughs were heard, which satisfied my complaisant nature. I had a job getting anyone to take the can of light-ale, Frank obliged me in the end.

As some of the clan left, I got a much-needed chance to have a chinwag with one or two of my amazing fellow-residents at last.  Which really made my day, even though it was me who did most of the talking.

4thu25When I got back to the apartment, the weariness dawned, and a pang of hunger took hold of me.

I made some overly-well-buttered sandwiches with the last of the polish bread. Tomatoes and the German smoked ham, with the thick crust having cheddar and a few drops of Hoisin sauce on it. Some salad, egg, apple sliced, too. A Limoncello dessert to end with. I must resist this in future!

An A-team episode was on the TV. After watching this, I was determined to make a start on the spare room sorting.

But I fell asleep instead: and didn’t wake up for hours and hours. Tsk!

Inchcock Today: Thurs 27th Dec 2018: Woke to an Accifauxpas and Whoopsiedangleplop, legs, ankles full of fluid… and things got worse! Worra rotten, ‘orrible day! Hey-ho!

Greek: Πέμπτη 27 Δεκεμβρίου 2018

3Wed2923:25hrs. WD 0.0.255c As I stirred into a simulation of life, the strong smell of cooking permeated my nostrils, and a spot of panic arrived in the brain. ‘I’d left the crock-pot on full, and then fell asleep last night!’ I fumbled and fought my way off of the £300 second-hand rickety, rusty recliner, stubbed my toe, knocked the mineral bottle off of the Ottoman and rushed to the kitchen! The crock-pot had almost boiled dry! So, no meal last night, oddly I did not feel particularly hungry.

Self-recrimination’ and ‘I Do Feel a Fool’ modes engaged!

WD 0.0.255c While cleaning things up, the most urgent of needs for an SSWW (Short-Sharp-Wee-wee) arrived. I grabbed the small plastic waste bin that I now keep handy for just such an emergency, and Christened it. Oh dear, the blood flowed from Little Inchies Fungal Lesion, so off to the wet room to treat and clean things up. This is not a good start to the day, and I have to go for the blood test and to collect the prescriptions later!

4Thu02WD 0.0.255c I treated the lesion, painfully, and cleaned things. Spotting three of the EIBWBBBs (Evil Ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles) on the floor near the shower drain this time.

As I took this photograph of the cunning weevils, I noticed blood on the paper towel. Yes, the lesion had started leaking again. I assume this will mean me trying to find time to get to the GUM Clinic… Oh, it will be closed today, Boxing Day! I dabbed away the blood, I can sort things out again when I have the shower during my ablutionalisationing session.

WD 0.0.255c The mind started off on one of its frenzied, neurotic, panicky brain wanderings, driven on, no doubt, by apprehensiveness and insecurity. Anything to fret about or be concerned over flitted through the grey-cells. A desire for anthropinisation lingered in amongst the other anxious-making, self-seeked fears. I was getting too much detail, all at the same time. For a few moments, I was another person altogether. I felt trepidatious. A Nervous Wreck!

While writing the above, the words flowed smoothly, but these mind-blitzes do me no good at all.

Back to the kitchen, feeling a great deal better and not knowing why I felt in such an improved mental state, I got the Health Checks done, made a brew of tea and took the medications.

4Thu03a

4Thu01The Sys seems to be going up and down regularly this week? I don’t think the problems I’m having with the Warfarin INR level should affect this, though?

The fluid retention in the legs has returned, they feel like hard balloons when I squeeze them. Will I be forward enough to ask the Doctor for a check-up when I get to the surgery?

I cleaned up the mess up that I made earlier in my panic-evacuation from the recliner. Bending down was more painful today, but the fluid retention might be the reason.

I opened the unwanted light & view-blocking new kitchen window and took three shots of the scene in front of me. I tried different options to see what they would come out like and learn their qualities. Auto, Night Sky and Stars. I’d best stick to using the Auto, do you think?

4Thu001

I got the computer on and updated the Woeful Wednesday post.* Taking four SSWWs while updating. *Mind you, today’s might be more Woeful, the way its started. Hehehe!

Off to the Porcelain Throne. Decent session, only the tiniest drop of blood from Harold’s Haemorrhoids.

WD 0.0.255c One more EIBWBBB spotted near the sink. A live one this time, I decided to go for the kill! But, the Sanmex Killer spray can was empty! By the time I’d collected a new one from my arsenal in the main room and got back to the wet room, the cunning EIBWBBB was gone, Tsk!

Made a start on this blog up to here. Taking three more SSWWs while doing it.

Then went on the WordPress Reader. On to the comments. Another SSWW, and on to the TFZer Facebooking.

CorelDraw next, I must get some page top graphics done in advance! I managed about three.

Got the ablutions tended to. Being later in the morning now, I could use the shower without disturbing my beloved neighbours, a very refreshing and enjoyable scrub-up! WD 0.0.255c I did manage to nick the chin shaving, which was a bit of a battle to stop bleeding, had to use the after-shave. Of course, the stinging pain was of no bother to a man like me. “Lie-Mode Engaged!” But it told me that the Warfarin level might still be too high, hence thin blood?

Got the dressing gown on and sprayed with deodorant and back to the kitchen to check on the beans in the crock-pot.

4Thu06aBack to the wet room for an SSWW…

In the few minutes, I’d been gone from the shower room, four EIBWBBBs and a baby one had shown up in there! One of the larger ones (Top right) was very-much-alive, kicking and trying to bite me! The dang things are winning this war I think! Cunningly using only small patrols to invade with and fooling me into thinking I might be 4Thu07winning the battle! Humph!

I got undies and socks on belatedly, and it came apparent to me why the joints and limbs were hurting and making movement a task for me. The legs were solid with the retained fluid.

I’ll mention this to the nurse, whichever one is on duty today.

I dressed and took the seven black plastic bags of waste to the rubbish chute.

The walk to the surgery is going to take some effort with how the legs, feet and ankles are feeling. Still, needs must.

4Thu08I had to push myself more than I would have liked, due to my taking too long in doing the ablutions, I’d left myself with only 50 minutes to get there.

I pressed on along Chestnut Walk and down Winchester Street. I thought I might regret not putting on the big coat, as everyone I saw had their scarves, gloves and hats on, but I didn’t feel too cold at all?

4Thu09Of course, I was manipulating two rock-hard swollen legs and feet, with a gallon or two of fluid in them, as fast as I could. Hehe! So that might have helped me keep warm a bit?

I cut through side streets to save some time.

I got to the surgery in Carrington, with five minutes to spare!  Smug-Mode Adopted.

I logged in and sat down doing the crossword in the book. Fifteen minutes later… Nurse Ann came to collect me! This was ineludible really, the way the day had gone so far! Grumph! 4Thu15Anyway, she fooled me today, and she listened to me when I spoke and did not answer at me before I’m finished making my point. Oh, Yes!

Concerned about how solid the fluid-filled legs were, and concerned about my dizzies, she made an appointment there and then for me – she even printed out a letter for me to take with me, to show Dr Vindla… 0900hrs in the morning! No rest for the wicked is there! Marvellous! 09:00hrs Doctors Appointments. 11:20hrs: Clinic Appointment. Shopping to do. Graphics page top headers need tending to. And I am expecting the appointment to arrive from the Anticoagulation and Deep Vein Thrombosis Clinic, and The GUM clinic. Gonna be a busy lad! As for the next laundry and getting the flat sorted… Humph!

I thanked her, and meant it, gave her a New Year pressie, left the treatment room, left nibbles for the reception staff and off outside and along Mansfield Road to the Carrington Pharmacy.

4Thu10And, I had a camera view of what was nearly an accident as a lorry pulled away from the opposite kerb, close to clouting the red car! Ace Reporter Inchcock Strikes Again! Hehehe!

WD 0.0.255c I collected the prescriptions from the chemist and bought a thermometer that takes the temperature from the ear-hole. Not cheap. But the thing that narked me, was once one bought it as I foolishly did – it needs a supply of plastic wax-defender-covers. What will they cost to buy? The few in the box will not last long, the instructions I read later said a new one needs to be used each time a reading is taken. Oy Vey! What a schnook, First-Class with Bar, Grade A, I am! I might get someone to scrawl ‘Gullible’ on my forehead for me! I could write a book, Gullible’s Travels! I really wee myself off at times!

Depressed and annoyed at myself, I trudged limpingly along to the Lidl store. I got some bread rolls to have with my attempted Chilli later. Honey Mini Ribs and Honey Gammon shanks and some beef cubes.

Paid at the self-serve tills without any problem.

4Thu11Caught the bus back into Sherwood.

With bag being heavy, due to the month’s supply of medications, the knees and ankles were suffering. Hey-ho!

I caught a bus back up to the  Winwood Heights.

WD 0.0.255c A sickeningly 4Thu12worrying sight near the Woodthorpe Court lobby entrance doors.

A paramedic car and an ambulance in attendance. The stomach went acidy on me when I saw these. I hope and pray that it is not too severe for whoever was in need of them.

Fingers crossed!

Limped up to the flat, had an SSWW and cleaned up 4Thu13where the lesion had been bleeding a bit.

Got the purchases put away. The mini-ribs and Gammon shanks looked like they should be tasty when I get around to nibbling them.

I opened the sack of medications and laid them out ready to rotate and store them in the drugs drawer.

4Thu14WD 0.0.255c You can see rip-off, expensive thermometer, that needs covers to be bought every time I use it and a massive battery that will cost I don’t dare to think off…

Sorry about that, Self-Pity Mode slipped in there!

Naughty, Inchcock!

I got the medicines stored and checked the 4Thu16crockpot contents. I moved the beans and mini-potatoes from the slow-cooker to the saucepan on a low light and added the chilli and some tomatoes.

It took me ages to clean the slow-cooker.

Another SSWW and I got on with updating this blog. So tired now, it’s gon my head-down time already. But, the late appointment today has cocked up my clock altogether today.

4Thu15Did up to here, and put the appointment letter in the jacket pocket, so I did not forget it in the mornings.

I kept nipping in to stir the concoction in the saucepan and nipping off for many SSWWs.

Proper fed-up, weary and the legs etc. are giving me gip! And, now I have just found some new boils. I won’t say where they are, but I found them by feel! Tsk!

Back on the computer… Guess What!

4Thu06

I gave up and got the nosh prepared. It looked and smelt highly appealing. But in reality, it was a major disaster in the seasoning department! Not sure what I put in the thing now, but, best forgotten anyway. The rolls soaked up the decent gravy, but I could not eat it all… Horrible comes to mind. Tsk!

4Thu19

I got the pots in the washing up bowl to soak. Tired as I felt, I thought it best to get the saucepans, and other things washed as well. Then, if I did feel as bad in the morning, I wouldn’t have to face the decoking job then. Haha!

I think I rang Sister Jane to update her on the medical matters.

Dizzy Dennis paid me a visit as soon as I got down in the £300 second-hand rickety recliner to watch a Frost DVD. Not sure what happened after that…

Dec 20 2018

Thursday 20th December 2018

Zulu: NgoLwesine 20 Disemba 2018

23:54hrs. Despite my many recent forfeitures of fair-fortune, I woke up feeling as if I had discovered overnight, the panpharmacon to all my worries and concerns! I hadn’t, of course. Most likely that I had been dreaming. Possibly a simulacrum of hope? At least the mind was not in a dwall again, in fact, it was concentrational this morning from the start. Smug Mode Adopted!

I knew I had a lot of catching up to do on yesterday’s Inchcock, the Morrison delivery was due twixt 08:30 > 09:30hrs and I wanted to get out to fetch another of the Aldi Sourdough part-baked baguettes that I have fallen in love with, and the Winwood Social Hour at 10:00hrs… Now, my remembering all this was a surprise to me, but a feeling and expectancy of a sudden return to my standard, gutless and passive ‘it’s-bound-to-wrong’ mode lingered, implanted in the grey-cells.

The extraction of my body, with its over-proportionately abdominous region from the £300 second-hand rickety recliner and off to the wet room for an SSWW (Short Sharp Wee-wee), was done without any toe-stubbing, knocking into or over anything, treading onto, or walking into owt! No signs of any EIBWBBBs (Evil Ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles) either! Double-Smug-Mode Adopted!

I tended to the Health Checks.

4Thu001a

4Thu001I collected the tray with the meal residue, not food-wise, I gobbled all of that up, from the easy-chair where I’d placed it and fell asleep so quickly last night.

Got the cutlery used and bowl washed up and made a mug of Assam tea for myself. Which I suppose didn’t need saying did it? Only me in here, and I would hardly be inclined to make one for the Weevils! I think I might be on the verge of losing it again here? Hehehe!

4Thu01WD255.0.255 I think a little advice is called for at this stage, folks. When you go to dry off your cleaned cutlery, in particular, the steak knife, be careful.  Although this may well be a tip from a Nebbish, I think its still valid. Hehehe! Tsk!

I got the computer on and checked the Emails. One from the doctor’s surgery. Giving new level (3.8), the Warfarin doses and giving me an appointment for the next blood test, for Monday 24th December, at 0815hrs. I added this to the Google Calendar.

Then got on with updating the Wednesday blog. Got it finished and posted off after what seemed an aeon.

I made another brew of strong Assam tea. Noticing how the rain was coming down still, no harder than earlier, but with smaller but more frequent droplets. I hope it isn’t settling in. Because I am determined to get out to buy some more of the Aldi Sourdough Baguettes to keep in over the holiday period. Best tasting bread I think I have ever had.

Made a start on this blog.

Went on Facebooking on the TFZ site. Spent more time than I had planned on it, I got carried away answering comments and adding the photos.

The ablutions were completed in plenty of time before the Morrison delivery arrived. Got the things put away.

No Porcelain Throne summoning yet?

I got the nibbles, raffle prizes and pressies sorted into the bag for the Social Hour.

WD255.0.255 I took three photos from the unwanted, misty, light and view-blocking new kitchen window. I tried a similar shot with three different settings, but I’m still not sure which is the better one. Negativity and nilhilities seem to have moved into my life lately. Just saying, like!

4Thu06aDown again and outside, dropped the empty beetroot jar in the recycling bin, greeted a couple of fellow prisoners… no, I mean tenants as I stopped to take this photo of the New Extra care block being built and Winchester Court.

Gave a good morning to one or two Willmott Dixon lads as I passed them.

Arrived a little late at the Winwood Social, and was taken aback by the number of inmates… residents, sorry, in there. Realised as soon as saw the amazing Christmas get-ups that many were wearing, and the biggest stack of raffle prizes I ever have seen anywhere, it was the Christmas Social Hour! Jenny must have worked so hard to get it all prepared for us. Thanks to Jenny! ♥

Here are shots of the lovelies I managed to take.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

4Thu10aI noticed a blood pool forming on one of my fingers, and remembered I was supposed to go to the clinic today! Klutz!

Made my excuse, and went out to wait for the bus. Handed the nibble box after distributing them; to Oberschützeress Warden Deana, and asked her to keep it safe for me, please.

Had a chinwag with neighbour Malcolm, at the bus stop. I decided, the lighting being like it was, might be a good time to take some decent shots of the Courts.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Just before the bus arrived, I fumbled in my pocket for the bus pass. Getting on the bus, I found the mini-diary.

WD255.0.255 Opened it up to find that the clinic appointment is for tomorrow, not today! I felt self-chastened, regretful, self-condemning, shamefaced, reprehensible and such a Nebekh!

I decided to stay on the bus and call at the Aldi store to see if they had any of the sourdough bread for me. Got some wine for Sister Jane and Pete (Both alcoholics, but friendly with it… Hehehe! The sourdough baguettes. Spring water for me. Belly pork bites and some lemon and lime yoghourts.

The chilly walk back down the hill to the flats was enjoyable. So, out came the camera!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

I called in to see the tenants in the shed, and tell them of my Accifauxpa. Best, to be honest, innit. Even if you get the rise taken out of you! Hahaha!

The plates-of-meat were stinging by the time I got home. Did the Health Checks.

The potatoes were cooking okay in the slow cooker, I put the oven on to warm ready for decided nosh later. Pork Belly Bites, curried beans and some wholemeal bread thins, and a dessert from the massive choice now residing crammed in my full fridge!

Got this blog updated as far as here.

Getting weary now.

Al ingredients finished cooking now, I served up the nosh.

This meal took a lot of (to me, anyway) time, planning and effort.

4Thu19WD255.0.255 I admit it looked nice, smelt nice and had an appealing look to it. But a Flavour Rating of only 6/10 was the best I could grant it.

The flavoured baked beans (from a can this time), were excellent, I’d used Hoi-Sin marinade and mustard. The same sauce mix on the belly pork, when added to the dish. The potatoes had some dark Soy sauce added. I shall not try this again! Actually, the beans were first class tastewise, and the potatoes were passable – just the Aldi belly pork destroyed the enjoyment. Talk about fatty! Tsk!

The naughty and shameful lemon dessert was exquisite. Hehehe!

4Thu20I took the pots to wash them up, and get the Health Checks done.

I snapped this nephogram, through the unwanted, thick-framed light and view-blocking new window.

WD255.0.255 Off for an SSWW, and found that Inchies Fungal lesion had been bleeding. Humph! After a few minutes pure agony trying to medicate things, I gave up. My mind turned to the prospective investigation coming up tomorrow, by the Doctor, nurses, student nurses, Trainee Doctors and possibly this visit, they may bring in another class of about eight students again, to let them toy with things under the microscope discussing their take on the problem and trying not to laugh, like last time? It wouldn’t surprise me, if they let the caretaker in, too! Still, I mustn’t complain, unless they bring any morticians in! Hahaha!

I’d got some great gossips in today. Call them what you will; Schmoozes, kibitz’s, confabs, chit-chatting, verbal-ventilations or chewing of the fat, I love em!.

Got down in the £300 second-hand recliner and put a Torchwood DVD on, to watch for the twentieth time. Amazingly, as tired and weary as I felt, I stayed awake and got through three episodes with only two nod-offs and rewinding.

This resistance to nodding-off is annoying. Very later for me before I drifted off properly. Huh!

Inchcock – Thur 13th Dec 2018: Brilliant Social Hour, Chinwags galore, betterer day all round – Dream of Old Father Time! Hehe!

Thursday 13th December 2018

Welsh: Dydd Iau 13 Rhagfyr 2018

01:25hrs: I was once again a different person when I bestirred. The mind seemed to be taking a break from activity. The only concern felt, was to get the diary updated so I can find time between the two deliveries: Asda Walmart 06:00 > 07:00hrs, and Morrisons which should be coming 08:00 to 09:00hrs, and get the ablutions completed, and the raffle prizes and nibbles sorted ready for the Social Hour.

I was soon out of the £300 second-hand 1986 rickety recliner, and into the kitchen to get the Health Checks done and take the medications. Oh, and to make a brew.

I caught my reflection in the little mirror (a nasty experience at any time for me!) and saw that the bruise I got in the Dizzy Dennis tumble last night, was far less onerous looking than I expected. It only hurts if I bang it on something, then just a tiny bit. I did a silent prayer for no dizzies again today. I’ll try not to headbutt the sink edge on my way down to the floor if it happens again. Haha!

Got the Health Checks completed.

4Thu001

I had an SSWW (Short, sharp wee-wee). Then got on with updating the Wednesday Diary.

wd 0.0.255 Emptying the saucepan that I was boiling water in yesterday when I left the hot tap running to go cold, I dropped the dang pan. How it slipped from my grasp, I don’t know. But I do know it landed right on the corn on the left foot! I also know I silently used some naughty words and offered myself insults and personal abuses for being such a Klutz! Humph! They say things go in threes: I’ve got the bruise on my head, now the pained corn and foot, and an aching back and knees from getting down then up again, after cleaning the mess I’d made… wonder what will come next?

When I think of it, my bad-luck is diuturnal in nature so anything can occur in the Whoopsiedangleplop and Accifauxpas arena at any time. Tsk!

I finished off the Wednesday Woes, and tool another SSWW. No signs of needing the use of the Porcelain Throne yet?

Made a start on this blog.

The Asda (Walmart) delivery arrived, and I stored the items away.

Summoned to the Porcelain Throne, I visited the wet room, and another normal passing was achieved. No bleeding. Good!

Next, the Morrison delivery arrived. Getting this pile of things away took a bit of ingenuity in finding room in the cupboards, fridge, and freezer, but I managed it.

0735hrs: I could hear noisy, banging and tapping, but could not locate where the sounds were coming from?

4Thu01 I got the mushrooms, carrots, and peas in the crock-pot. With the aim of making a Chill-con-carne of sorts later in the day by adding red beans and seasoning.

I got the pressies, nibbles and raffle prizes gathered in the bag, and set off out. Taking the black bags to the waste chute on the way.

4Thu03aI dropped the white bag of recyclables near the caretaker’s door that was being replaced by a workforce of six men.

I took this picture on the right of the Winwood Court, through the compound gate.

I met Frank on the way, he looked a little ruffled, bless him. HE did his usual good job running the raffle again for the folks in the social meeting.

Then I met Riechsführeress, Warden Deana on Chestnut Walk going in the opposite direction. But of course, I have been forbidden from mentioning any communications I have with any Nottingham City Homes personnel,  Obergruppenführers, agents, or ghosts, on this blog. So, I won’t.

Got to the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights, Hauptbereitschaftsleiteress Warden’s Temporary HQ. Sarcasm & Insult distribution area. Tenants Socialisationistical Meeting Shed. Telling Inchcock off Zone. Where things like crockery and pottery get stolen from, Rumourmongering Clinic, and somewhere to rest while waiting for the bus, Portakabin Social Meeting room.

Not so many scallywags there today at first, but it soon filled up and gay time seemed to be had by all. I enjoyed some chinwags, exchanges of insults and tom-foolery with many residents.

Jenny seemed a little under the weather, bless her. But she kept a grip on us all. I handed out a few Christmas nibbles and treats.

I left a tad early, to get back and take some painkillers as the head was stinging and throbbing a bit.

4Thu04I hobbled back to Woodthorpe Court with Nora and Lynne.

Who, after I asked them, kindly posed with the flats in the background so I could post it to the TFZer site later.

It was cold out there, as you can see by the sensible clothing being worn by the gals.

As we entered the foyer, I noticed that both washers were free. So after a natter with the lasses, I got up to the flat, took a pill, and collected the washing and down again.

Got the washing going.

Up to the apartment, checked the crock-pot and started to update this blog.

Down to move the things to the dryer. Mo and Gaynor were sat nattering, so I joined in, and we had a laugh or two. Love it!

Back up and carried on with the updating on WordPress, until it was time to go down again. Down to collect the clothing. Mo was still there, she was going to move Nora’s washing into the dryer when I moved my stuff out of it.

Back up and got the togs put in the airing cupboard.

I moved the crock-pot contents to a large saucepan and added the red beans, tomato passata, and onions. Going to be a little different this meal I think. I’ve put mushrooms, carrots, and a few peas in with my imitation chilli-con-carne – I hope it comes out alright.

I went on TFZer Facebook to add the photos and read any comments with other peoples posts.

Got the nosh served up, here goes, I’ll soon find out if it is okay or a disaster. Fingers Crossed.

Great Flavour! Ate it all up with some sourdough bread. No guilt, it was terrific!

4Thu22

4Thu21Washed the pots up, did the health Checks and back on the computer, cause as I photographed that amazingly flavoursome meal, I realised I had missed off a picture I took in the lift.

A slightly eerie shot do you think?

In the morning after having a dream, I used this photo as a background to my morning thoughts and did a funny ode. I was so pleased with it, I posted it on its own.

I had hoped to stay awake long enough to watch a Hustle episode that I liked, on channel 40 at 08:00hrs.

I was asleep about 18:00hrs, I recall the starting screen and music coming on for Heartbeat at that time, but nothing after that.

In my reverie, I had a dream of my talking with Old Father Time!

Ah-well, TTFNski.

Thursday 6th December 2018

Swedish: Torsdagen den 6 December 2018

00:25hrs: Extraordinarily, as I woke up, I found myself already disentangling my roly-poly, paunchy, pot-bellied body from the £300 second-hand recliner. With some speed and ease as well! The brain finally informed me that the need to utilise the Porcelain Throne was why I was up and about in no time! Without further ado and avoiding toe stubbings and knocking into or anything over, before I could say, Jack Robinson, I was in the wet room and seated on the Throne.

Perfect timing. Had a cleanup and antisepticalisationing session, and I spotted only one of the 0Stegobium paniceum (Evil Ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles) anywhere in the room. Not to be fooled by the cunningly guileful army of insects again, by their crafty pretending to be retreating and a day later they return to counterattack in number, I decided to use up what was left of the £6.59 can of Rentokill bug spray over the wet room floor and in the corners. Persisting with my expensive battleground defensive counter-measures, I put a replacement can of the killer in the wet room, and then used up another can, this time of the Sanmex bug killer in the kitchen. There were many baby Weevils in there this morning, some alive others dead. Not giving up on my mission, I went to check out the spare room… surprisingly that was all-clear of the Stegobium paniceum (Weevils).

WD54.39.1 In all, I had used up or finished off £15 worth of insecticide, and started the coughing off again. Oy vey is mir! I blame myself, if I hadn’t told people where I keep my hoard of jewellery and stash of cash for them to help themselves to when I croak-out, I might have got more help with the Evil Ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles problem. Only joking! Tsk! Hehehe!

Industrially… that’s not the right word, is it? Productively, I got on with updating the Wednesday post, and eventually, got it posted off.

Then I had a brainwave for an idea for a funny ode. Got it written and graphicalisationed, then I posted that off.

4Thu04Went for the forth of the day up to now, SSWW (Short-Sharp-Wee-wee).

Checked the emails. Morrison sent this one on the left. Tsk!

I had planned that as a little Christmas present for someone as well. Grumph!

Also and as well as, I had an 4Thu001aemail from the surgery.

The Warfarin INR level came back as being very high for some reason?

So, I must take care not to cut myself. No wonder that the Fungal lesion is bleeding, I know why now.

The appointment for next week was a bit disappointing; they had made if for 1020hrs.

Which will mean with my sleeping pattern, by the time I get their and back, the day will be over for me, I’ll be too shattered to get anything else done. I sent an email in return thanking them and mentioning the lateness of the appointment for me. Hey-Ho!

WD54.39.1 Just about to make a start on this blog, and I realised I had not done the Health Checks or taken the medications yet! So, I put things right. Klutz!

4Thu001

3Wed29The readings had come down nicely.

Please note the weight decrease!

Extra Smug Mode Pleasurably Adopted!

It’s not been easy this dieting and exercising.

Mind you, look at what I’ve had to do to get it down, shall we?

  • Long Walk Sunday
  • Mammoth getting soaked to the skin hobble Monday
  • Long hobble in the drizzle on Tuesday.

And the toe and ankle are giving me some real hassle now. As for cutting back on the food, that is the hardest bit of the plan for me. No, I lie… cutting back on the nocturnal nibbling is the worst and most difficult! My pot of jelly babies has had sweeties taken out and put back in so often, they have gone misshaped and soggy! Truth Mode Adopted!

I got the nibbles, prizes and the treats into the bag ready. I’ll have to carry that weight with me to the Dentists so I can call at the hut for the Winwood Social Hour on the way back if I get it done in time, that is.

I counted out the four Scottish Shorties ready to be dunked in my tea later for breakfast. Four! Pathetic! Damned dieting… Grrr! Sod-it, I’ll have six now instead! Naughty boy, hehe!

Got a start made on this diary at last.

Ablutions all done, changed, got the bag and set off out, taking empty jars of pickled egg and gherkin to the Alcoholic addict’s glass bin. Haha!

I got the second Health Checks done, in case I forget later in the event of my having any injections at the Dentists.

I called in the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Flats, Oberstgruppenführer Wardens Temporary HQ, Toilet, Sarcasm & Insult distribution area, Rumourmongering Clinic. Tenants Socialisation Shed. Telling Inchcock off Zone. Things like china and pottery to be stolen from, and residents room shed. Glad to see Regal Jenny there and both of the Wardens. Quick natter and nibble giving, and off on the walk to the dentist.

4Thu05Going down Winchester Street, I took a photographicalisation of the allotments on the corner.

Doris, my neighbour has one of these plots, I believe.

Down the hill, and took the opportunity of 4Thu06making another of the ‘Moody’ traffic shots again.

I went right up the hill, to the Wilko Store. I came out with some liquid soap flakes, nibbles for the box, Dia-limit capsules and stress relief tablets. And, £10.20 less well off.

Up to the Dentist, and logged in. The nurse came to fetch me, and up the apples & pears to the number three surgery. The dentist and nurse were both new to me and were most helpful. After the check-up, I was passed AOK.

Down and out into the gloomy weather again, and further up the hill to the chemists, 4Thu06awhere I got some Co-Codamol capsules. I struggle with the tablets sometimes, they being so large and in need of breaking can cause me bother, too. I’ve still got two halves somewhere in the kitchen that I’ve never found after they shot-off while splitting them. Haha!

Another piece of Nottinghamian Street Art between two shops was recorded.

4Thu07Up the hill into the Woodthorpe Grange Park.

I stopped on the way to have a bit of fuss with some dogs who were taking their owners for a walk.

The top of the gravel footpath that had all the wet leaves that made walking difficult it was even worse today. But I got through it alright without any Accifauxpas.

4Thu08Halfway down the pathway, I took this picture of all three components of the now named Winwood Heights complex.

Woodthorpe on the left, the new Extra Care Unit in the centre Don’t know what they are going to call that yet? And Winchester Court on the right as you look at the picture.

4Thu09Down and into the foyer to the lifts, taking this shot of our Christmas Tree.

Up to 72, and took an SSWW I got this blog updated and rushed off to the Winwood Social Hour.

A most delightful session, although not many in attendance, we had much laughter and rib-taking to keep us amused. And much pleasure was taken in my having stick about the size of my meals and walking too far on my hobbles. Hahaha! Many little chinwags, as well. I do enjoy having these confabs, laughs and even the mick-taking. Haha!

I walked back to the flats with Catwalk model Gaynor, Cuddly Mo and Herbert-John.

While I waited for the Morrison Delivery (No alcohol-free wine, though, Humph!) I again updated this blog, then got some page top headers prepped for the Inchcock Diaries.

4Thu10Got the nosh prepared and consumed, a little earlier than planned.

Baked beans seasoned with balsamic vinegar, mustard, BBQ flavouring and oregano. Beef pie and a few oven chips. Naturally, being a dedicated dietist, I had no bread, the gorgeous pastry of the pie was more than suffice.

The common or garden custard and strawberry (I think, it was a fruit of some sort) jelly dessert, followed. A worthy Taste Rating of 9.2/10 granted for this one.

4Thu11The Morrison delivery arrived.

A smaller one than usual. I got most of the nibbles and pressies needed for the season of ‘Goodwill’ in now.

Got the fodder put away.

Washed the dish and pots.

Did the Health Checks. Had an LSWW (Long-Sharp-Wee-Wee)

I settled to watch one of my most favourite of all my films on DVD. ‘Pat & Margaret’. Starring the much missed, Victoria Wood and Julie Walters.

But the usual fatigue got the better of me. I tried rewinding a few times but kept nodding off, so I gave up, and fell asleep, to have what turned out to be a hilarious dream!

TTFNski folks.

Inchcock – Thur 29 Nov 2018: Woke in an odd mood. Great Social Hour. Whoopsiedanglepop ridden visit to the doctors. Fire Alarm… Normal sort of day for old Inchcock. Hehehe!

Thursday 29th November 2018

Croatian: Četvrtak, 29 Studenog 2018

WD 0.128.128 23:25hrs: I woke up in the opposite mental state to yesterday’s hectic, frenetic spate of mental anguish. I was in a sluggish, lethargic, lazy, ‘I don’t want to know’ mode. The mind did not bother me much at all, and I was content with that, lackadaisical really.

I was out of the £300 second-hand recliner like a robot, hardly aware that I had just dragged my outsize, paunchy, plump-stomached body from the chair and struggled up on my feet?

It seemed I was doing and thinking with indeterminateness, with a vague fuzziness? Although I recognised this was happening, I was insouciant about it?

Slowly, very much so, the worries and fretting returned over the next hour or so. It was prompted and helped (not that I wanted them to return and put me back in my usual, unexceptional condition of being anxious, apprehensive and worried over just about everything), by my being distracted by the need of an SSWW (Short Sharp Wee-Wee) arriving. Yet, as the nervousness returned, a sense of a home-coming was felt. Not sure if you can understand that. It might have been better if I’d left it out, to avoid the men in white coats coming for me? Hehe!

WD 0.128.128 Inchies Fungal-Lesion was bleeding this morning, and an icky, painful, messy medicalisationing session had to be tended to. A little annoying, in such that later, when I have my shower, it will all have to be redone again. But at this stage, my usual Worrying Mode had not fully returned, so I seemed little bothered about this at the time.

I spotted just a few odd EIBWBBBs (Evil Ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles) around the wet room floor, and one live on in the handbasin. I got the bug spray and distributed it all around, then I did the spare room and kitchen, where I found just a few dead ones. Threw away the empty Rentokil can and put another one in its place, a Sanmex brand.

Then it was time to return to the wet room for the Porcelain Throne duties. Considering I’d only had the tiniest of meals last night, I was gobsmacked by the evacuation volume. I antisepticated the hands and contact points, and off to the kitchen to get the Health Checks done.

4Thu001

3Wed29The first of the day Sys, Dia, and Pulse results keep dropping each day this week so far. I hope I’m not fading out! Hehehe!

Made a brew of Assam tea and took the medications. I considered taking a Dia-Limit, but after much dithering and procrastinating, I couldn’t decide if this was a good idea or not. Sad, I know!

Got the computer on and updated yesterday’s blog. This took a few hours, a lot of photographs to sort out. The more I did, I seemed to be making less grammatical errors?

I went on Facebooking and got the albums updated, then on to the TFZer site.

I got the ablutions and medicationalisationings done.

Made a start on this diary, then a visit to the WordPress Reader section.

4Thu001aCollated the prizes, nibble box and treats ready to go with me. Black bags to the chute and I was off.

I exited the foyer doors, and oh boy, was it windy out there this morning! Brrr! The odd bit of drizzle fell as I made my way along Chestnut Walk to the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights, Hauptbereitschaftsleiteress Wardens Temporary HQ. Sarcasm & Insult distribution area. Tenants Socialisationistical Meeting Shed. Telling Inchcock off Zone. Where things like crockery and pottery get stolen from, Rumourmongering clinic, Jenny’s workplace, and somewhere to rest while waiting for the bus, Portakabin.

The meeting was poorly attended again this week. We all seemed to have a good time nevertheless. Jenny was grafting away looking after us as usual. Cindy and Margaret did give me a song or two, bless ’em. (Along with threats of a clip around my earhole, and the odd aversive stimulus, Hehe!) I got some fun nattering sessions in while handing out the nibbles and raffle tickets.

4Thu03WD 0.128.128 BJ arrived late as usual, and Margaret and Cyndy shot out of their chairs and mobbed him in greeting! Not that I was jealous, of course. After all, he is taller, younger, braver, more entertaining, more talented, has a car, can afford to take holidays three times a year, he has more hair, is better looking, fitter, healthier, has his hearing, and is 4Thu12much more productive and far less accident prone, and more attractive to women than I am… Oh no, it didn’t bother me at all! Don’t think for one minute that it had me envious, covetous, jealous, desirous, or spitting-blood, or that I will not attend the 4Thu03aSocial Hour again just to see the lucky bugger being cuddled and kissed… Oh no! Hehe!

Joking aside, I reckon while I was in there, everyone had a good time and enjoyed themselves. Thanks, Jenny!

I took this shot of Willmott-Dixons Plonk-Brewer and Plant Perambulator Paulius and Innocentest-Ian-Incharge through the window. 4Thu02I will have to find time to doctor it later, for the Facebook Willmott Dixon album.

I departed early to catch the bus. Taking this photo in the drizzle of the centre compound and the Extra Care Unit. Doesn’t it look bleak? That’s because it was bleak out there! Haha! The wind continued to blow.

4Thu01I moved down to take a snap of the bottom part of Woodthorpe Court. If you look hard enough, you should see, Elizabeth (I think), coming out of the lobby and through the metal maze on her way to the bus stop.

I moved along to the bus stop, and the clan of Winwoodanian residents were having the chinwag and laugh between themselves.

4Thu04I took this quick, zoomed-in photo of Incharge and Paul just as the bus arrived. But Paulius was leaning back in the driving seat, so I didn’t catch him in the frame.

I do so enjoy manipulating these photos for the Willmott Dixon lads. I’m never sure if they see them after they have been done, though.

I dropped off of the L9 bus at the bottom of 4Thu05Winchester Street.

As I walked up Mansfield Road towards Carrington, I snapped this shot of both sides of the road. I’m getting confused with the shop situation here. So many closed down retailer units. And yet, new or upgraded ones seem to be opening as well. The butcher’s shop has reopened with a cafe inside! I’ll try to get some 4Thu06photographs of it later for you. Three new food eat-in take-aways open now too?

Up and over the hill and down into Carrington I plodded.

The only hassle I had was from the mystery bruises on the left leg and Back-Pain-Brenda. All the other usual pains were being kind to me?

I called into the Sherrington Park Surgery to confirm the time of my blood-test for next Tuesday and asked if the appointment for the Anticoagulation Haemostasis and Deep Vein Thrombosis Unit had arrived yet.

4Thu13WD 0.128.128 I got the Anticoagulation Therapy record out to write down the time of the appointment on it… and found that I’d written it there last week so I wouldn’t forget it, which I did, of course, I also forgot I’d written it in the first place… Farmisht Eizel!

Out into the windy and now raining as well Carrington, and down to the Carrington Pharmacy. Where I asked the date that I could collect my monthly bag of prescription 4Thu13aamedications. 4th January. I thanked them and waddled up to the Lidl store for a nosey around.

Got some bits for the nibble-box, balsamic cooked beetroot, Assam Tea, potato slices and Sopocka slices.

Paid at the self-serve till without any hassle and out into the wind and wet again.

Caught a bus back to Sherwood, and had a bit of good fortune (No, honestly it does happen to me sometimes! Hehe!) with catching the bus. As I got to the bus stop, the bus arrived. Within minutes I was back at the flats.

4Thu06a I was last to get off of the bus, as I did Bill (William on Sundays) threw a reprimand at me, Gladys scoffed at me and gave them both a chocolate coin for their bus fare. They did laugh, but tutted at the same time? Haha!

The other passenger who’d alighted, shot off in a hurry, to avoid what looked like heavy rain about to fall.

WD 0.128.128 By the time I arrived at the foyer, I could hear the Fire Alarm ringing out with both caretakers standing by the alarm panel. They did not inform me if it was alright to go up or not, but the other people must have, so I assumed it would be okay.

4Thu07 The alarm test is usually done on a Thursday I think?

When I got out of the elevator on the 12th floor, the alarms were still sounding.

Got into the flat and had an SSWW.

Inside the flat, it is impossible for me to hear the alarm ringing, even with the hearing aids in. So I assumed, as my flats alarm was silent, also, if there was a fire, I’m to stay inside the flat as per instructions, unless it is my alarm inside ringing.

4Thu10I opened the balcony window to take a look and photograph of below.

WD 0.128.128 The rain came in as it fell from the glass and frame, and I trapped my finger in the metal spring sheet on the handle of the window.

This photo shows what I mean when I say the new balcony is light and view-blocking?

4Thu08Two fire tenders were arriving below, and I could hear another on the way in the distance.

I bet the Fire Service love all of our false alarms. Tsk!

About to close the unwanted wet letting in, view and light blocking thick framed window, I 4Thu09spotted activity in a balcony two floors down.

It was the Willmott Dixon Obergruppenführer, presumably preparing someone’s balcony ready for use.

I got the Health Checks done.

Took the medications and started to prepare the nosh.

4Thu14I spotted some EIBWBBBs (Evil Ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles) on the kitchen floor. I’m beginning to think I am not going to win the battle against this refugee immigrant cunning army of Weevils.

If they are still here after I’ve nearly killed myself with the bug spray several times every day for five months, and other tenants have now got them, and it is so cold, yet they remain in situ; what do you think the chances are of their taking over the building completely next summer? Humph!

The wind was still howling outside, the poor old trees were taking a right bashing!

4Thu11I got the nosh served up.

Anya potatoes, mature cheddar cheese, balsamic beetroot, roast dried onions, sliced mushrooms, tomatoes, chestnuts, an apple and a cheesy buttered cob. Oh, and a Limoncello dessert. Ahem!

After digesting the food, I put the washing in the bowl, had another SSWW and fell asleep watching a DVD. Ocean’s Thirteen.

Woke up and did the last Health Checks and medicine taking.

Back in the £300 second-hand rickety, rusty recliner.

Tried again to watch the film, but I found it needed too much concentration for me to understand what was going on in it, talk about convoluted!

I started to watch another old favourite of mine, ‘Changing Lanes’, but nodded off into a deep sleep within minutes. Hey-Ho!
