WD 200a 04:15hrs: I was woken, yet again, by the stabbing pains from a Colin Cramp’s visit to the feet! I got the camera off of the Ottoman and realised I had also left the light on overnight, but at least I’d remembered to remove the bamboo socks. The signs of the toe-stumpings had all but cleared up! The toes were warping with the cramps, I presume.

4Thu04

The cramp hassle softened. I noticed that the toes had seemed to settle into a different position to normal. Thankfully, the pain slowly lessened later, as I moved (hobbled) around.

I removed my cumbersome burly short body from the £300, second-hand, grotty-beige coloured, rickety, c1968, rusty recliner, grabbed the stick, and used the EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-Wee Bucket), for a most unwilling wee-wee of the UWT Unwilling-Weak-Trickling) variety. The bucket was taken with me to to the kitchen, for cleaning and sanitisationing. I got the hand-washing done, rinsed and on to the slow-airer for drying. Took medications. Did the health checks, and had another UWT Unwilling-Weak-Trickling) wee-wee.

Then I made a potent Glengettie brew of tea.

I began to update the events of Wednesday, frightfulness, horridness and dreadfully ropy happenings. The fingers and other limbs, apart from the shoulder, which was annoying me regularly, were pretty tame, so I made decent progress for once. Also, an even higher rarity… The Virgin Media Internet did not cut-off, and was moderately speedy! I appreciate this may sound like a porky-pie, but it’s true! Mind you; I’m sure it will not last long!

4Thu05I took a picture out through the light & view-blocking kitchen windows that have unreachable glass panes to clean and needs a stepladder to be used to photograph or see anything below on Chestnut Way.

In the event that the fire alarm goes off, and we need to check if any emergency vehicles have arrived on site. I used auto-extra option.

Not that I can hear the fire alarm anyway, mind you. So, it’s a grand job that the Nottingham City Homes are doing in making sure we do not have the dangerous cladding, like that the poor devils had at Grenfell Tower.

I got the post finished and sent off to WordPress, then decided I’d better get the ablutions tended to. Obersturmbannführeress, Housing Patch Manager, and part-time Cosmopolitan Model, Angela Gould, said I could have a shower at 07:00hrs alright.

WD 200a3Wed01a I had another even less-willing UWT wee-wee first. Then had to utilise the Porcelain Throne, which turned out not to be a good thing. First, the evacuation was big, hard, yet messy. One of the most painful I’ve ever had, lots of bleeding from internal and external haemorrhoids. And second reason; The putrescent, nidorous after-aroma had to be endured, while I did the teggies, shaved, and had the shower and won the battle with the sock-glide! Hehehe!

WD 200a I thought I heard the new Intercom tone playing, so I went to the panel on the wall. But no indication of a missed call? I got the foyer-door picture up, and the door was just closing, but I could not see anyone in the view. So I assumed someone had let the Iceland man or woman in. A few seconds later, the panel alarm went off again, but nobody was there… then I realised it was the door chime ringing but in another tune! The exact-same melody as the panel has! I let in the delivery driver and explained and apologised for keeping him waiting. Someone had allowed him in the foyer door. He took the fodder through to the kitchen for me. I thanked him and set about putting the food away.

WD 200a This was when I understood what the problem was. The engineer who put the Intercom in for me must have caught the door alarm box, that’s just below the new box he’d fitted, and changed the tune option without realising. It does happen sometimes. It is only a little button on the side. It needs scrolling through to find the tune you want, but if you leave or do not press it long enough, it sets on whatever theme is playing. I tried to reset it, but without thinking, I used the peripheral neuralgia affected right-hand, and it was a bit of a farce. I could not find the “I only want to be with you” tune I like to use, and can identify with the front door. I tried again using the left hand, not easy, but well doable, and hey presto, Dusty Springfield’s song is now back on! I wonder if this has happened to anyone else.

An email from Jenny earlier soon put me right on a few things. I’d got the wrong date for the eight-hour water turn off. (Fancy that, me getting something wrong. Hehe!) Also, there a lot of tenants with the problem of not hearing the new Intercom, with it being so soft and low. She has reported this to the Nottingham City Homes Management, already! The gal is coming back on to being herself again! Precious, impavid, intrepid, compassionate and benevolent Jenny is! Bless her cotton socks!

The Iceland order had some Substitutes. The yoghourts had been replaced with Toffee flavour in place of lemon ones. Disappointing, but I will hand all four of them to the Social Hour as prizes, with the other bits later on.

I put the computer in sleep-mode and took some bags to the waste-chute. Then set out to go to the Willmott Dixon supplied Portakabin, Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights, Hauptbereitschaftsleiteress Warden’s Temporary HQ. Sarcasm & Insult distribution area. Tenants Socialisationistical Meeting Shed. Telling Inchcock off Zone. Where things like crockery and pottery get stolen from, Rumourmongering Clinic, Holding cells, and somewhere to rest while waiting for the bus, Portakabin.

As I got outside of the foyer doors, I wanted to photograph the new grass on the end carpark, in different settings, but the hands and fingers started playing up as I did so. A workman, the one in the first picture, came over to me and saw I was struggling. He took the camera and shot the photographs you see here. He even chose a different setting for each one.

WD 200a I forgot to ask him what settings he was on. Huh! If we get the forecasted rain for today and tomorrow, it should help the turf to settle and grow, methinks?

4Thu10As I limped along with the trolley-guide to the hut, I took this shot which caught Winchester Court, showing how nice and close the new bus stop is situated for the tenants of the said court.

I’m not jealous, of course.

Oh, no! I’m just glad it’s us at Woodthorpe Court who has the pleasure of a nice brisk walk to get to the bus stop. We’ll be much fitterer & 4Thu09healthier then! Haha!

I was well-pleased with how this zoomed-in shot turned out. Left to right (I hope I’ve got the names right – Jenny will correct me if not) Ray in his new disability Scooter, Pete, Angela, and Mary seated. And Roy, with his customised four-wheeled ‘L’ plate bearing trolley, giving me a rum stare! Hehehe! Good job I’m not wanting the bus. With Ray and his scooter, and Mary and Roy’s giant trolleys, I would not have been able to get on the bus with my walking-guide.

I got in the shed and left some pressies, prizes, and nibbles. And had a little natter or two. I went over and enjoyed a chinwag with the gang at the bus shelter.

4Thu11Then on the way back to the beloved, but further to walk to and back from than Winchester Court than is Woodthorpe Court.

But it doesn’t bother me, Oh no!

The new grass seems to be doing a lot better here as well. This is the frontage part of the new Winwood Court and, that along with Woodthorpe Court (At the end of the road, farthest from the bus stop, letterbox and new Oberschützeress Wardens HQ) than Winchester Court, which all will comprise Winwood Heights when its all finished. Confusing innit? The shed being used at the moment is due to be removed later this P1220982month, I think.

I shall be sorry to see The Willmott Dixon supplied Portakabin go, after over two years and a bit, but not sorry to get some peace and hopefully far less harassment, and noise. I pray!

Shame about the new balconies. I loved the old open, far less maintenance requiring ones.

I had a natter, well for a few seconds, with Frank on the way back to the flat. Got in, and made an excellent brew-up. Then got the computer restarted and updated this blog to here.

Then, went on the WordPress Reader to see what the other bloggers had done. Some great stuff on today.

Then I visited the Facebook site to visit the TFZers and put some photographicalisations on. I enjoyed that.

4Thu28Time to close down and get some nosh prepared, ready for me to (I hope) fall asleep. By gum, I need it! Sadly!

One simple but most satisfying meal. Instant potatoes with added grated cheese and dried onion, gherkins, chicken stick thingies (I’ve forgotten the name, flipping lethologica!), freshly podded peas, and lip-smackingly tasty sausages. Followed by a pot of wantonly, promiscuously, naughty-but-oh-so-nice, Limoncello. A most worthy taste-flavour rating of 9.20/10!

4Thu27I washed-up, and got the hand-washing done.

WD 200a Then I got settled down to watch something on the TV, but the nodding-offs soon started, so I turned off and no sooner had I done so, that Colin Cramps came on! The toes and hands were targeted at this time. I fully expected another long sleepless night as the cramps gave me some stick.

After ten minutes or so, almost miraculously to me, Morpheous took over, and by Golly, he did, too! I think I had over six-hours sleep, straight through to 01:30hrs, no wee-wees, no ailment pains waking me either, mind you, when I did wake, the efforts to get a wee-wee tout de suite, were a tad ridiculous, but humorous at the same time! Hehehe!

Inchcock Today – Thursday 11th July 2019: A betterer Day! (I might be sorry I said that, later, Hehe!)

2019 July 10

Thursday 11th July 2019

Croatian: Četvrtak 11 Srpnja 2019

03:10hrs. I had managed to get some sleep, two hours or so (Humph!). I woke with a rare visit from Colin Cramps. But he departed before I had got my lumbering, short, rotund body from the £300, second-hand, c1968, decrepit, gungy-beige coloured rickety recliner. No morning thoughts or ponderations at all.

WD b 0.0.255 I had a rather fearsome wee-wee, of the LHBLSWW (Long-Hosepipe-Blasting-Like-Splashback-Wee-Wee) mode. It was so unexpectedly forceful, it nearly made me lose my balance and drop the bucket, and walking stick! Hehe!

4Thu04I limped into the kitchen with the bucket and sanitised and cleaned it. Then I did the hand-washing, rinsed them with some Wilko softener added to the water, and got them on the stand-up airer in the hallway, to dry.

I did the health checks and imbibed the medications. When at last, and it’s been a long time in coming this one, a visit to the Porcelain Throne! And what a session it was!

WD b 0.0.255 It took a considerable length of time, and agonistic efforts to free things. I half-expected to find myself split in half lengthwise when I stood up! I don’t know about torpedo, it felt like I’d passed a submarine! The effort actually wore me out! Haha! The bleeding was surprisingly little, though… nae, amazingly slight!

Because of the nature of the painfull Porcelain performance, I made a brew of tea and took another Senna tablet. (I must remember to buy some more, I’ve used up all the Movicol prescription powders!)

4Thu03I could see the early morning view through the unwanted and unneeded new kitchen windows, with the light & view-blocking thick framed glass that cannot be reached to be cleaned, was rather appealling. So I took this first photographicalisation, trying to get a shot with the lighted greenery, the housing and the sky. It didn’t come out well. In fact, I tried three times, but this was the best I could procure for the diary.

4Thu02Then, foolishy, unthinkingly and stupidly, I thought I’d get up on the stepladder to take a shot of the amazingly eerie view of down below in the car park on Chestnut Way… A mistake!

The photograph came out really well for once, I thought. Then I started to wallow in my skills this isolated, rare, bit of success, as I climbed down the steps. Just what I wanted, I thought. Oh, I am good! I thought! Smug-Mode-Adopted… A more significant Mistake to make!

Blog01aWDA b 0.0.255 Irrationally and without due consideration, I had not put the slippers on and was bare-footed still. Stepping down to the next rung in the ladder, I caught the corn on the metal edge. Which was a nocive enough thing to do, but it got worse as I lost my balance, and for the third time in 24 hours, my body tumbled into contact with the kitchen floor!

WDA b 0.0.255 The bruises came out quickly. As I struggled again to get up on my legs again. I clouted my head against the draining board, went down, and Back-Pain-Brenda was not happy with this at all. She hasn’t stopped aching ever since! After the incident, skirmish, scramble, scrap or scrimmage (I want to avoid saying accident, cause it wasn’t really one, it was my silliness that caused it!), I took another pain-killer and went to check things best I could for any injuries in the wet room. Only a couple of bruises and a tiny mark on the bonce. I’m so glad and grateful that the polyneuropathy inspired leg and limb dancing and shaking didn’t happen at the same time. Phew! It would have been far worse.

I moved the steps on to the balcony, out of the way.

I began to update the Wednesday Diary. Of course, I lost some artwork again, thanks to:

Virgin blue

Got the blog done and posted eventually. Thank you, Mr Fries!

WD b 0.0.255 Then I forced my aching body to the wet room for the ablutions to be tended to. All went well, apart from a mystery cut on the back of the head, after shaving?

I readied the things for the trip out and took the four-wheel-guide with me today. I called at Josie’s flat, but no answer to the chimes. Off to the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Flats, Oberstgruppenführer Wardens Temporary HQ, Toilet, Sarcasm & Insult distribution area, Rumourmongering Clinic. Tenants Socialisation Shed. Telling Inchcock off Zone. Things like china and pottery to be stolen from, and residents room.

It was smashing to get to the Winwood Social Hour Meeting. But I wasn’t feeling too good, and I think the four-wheeled trolley got in the way and annoyed folk a bit. I took a few nibbles around, but I had to leave the rest of the bag to be handed round. Some excellent chinwags were enjoyed. Annoyingly, when I left early to get the bus, Dizzy Dennis left me, Huh! He might have done it when I was inside!

I had an unwarranted telling-off and natter with Obergruppenführeress Night Club Dancer and Warden Julie on the way out. Haha! Over to the bus stop, listened to some chinwagging and got on the bus last again, they are too quick for me! Hehehe! I chatted with two brothers, and one told me to put something in Google to find the value of it, but I’m blown if I can remember what it was, now. Fool! The bus got a tad busy en route, and the four-wheeler was in the way of other passengers, this made me feel “In-the-way” and guilty.

I dropped off in town on Queen Street and walked down to the slab square to take some photographicalisations. From the bottom of the road, from left to right, I did a series of shots. I followed the lady in the red top with the photos. She was getting a move-on!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Then, I went to the Poundland shop to see if they had any Pork Farms pies in. But they didn’t. However, I foolishly bought more stuff that would go in the pathetically small box on the four-wheeler, and had to buy a bag as well! I ended up buying a bar of orange chocolate, a pack of bacon offcuts, Dettol, jelly-babies, liquorice medallions, nibbles for handing out, and yet another drain unblocker!

4Thu11Came out and had a roundabout walk taking photographs (I hope to make a blog with all the photos in it later).

Plenty of Nottinghamian cyclist, most of the delivering food, driving out in front of buses and traffic, and threateningly scaring old folk, and possibly young ones, as they belted along the footpaths.

4Thu27I caught the bus home, on Queen Street, taking this rather appealing photo, I thought?

And it was packed almost solid. Which meant me, as usual on the uncomfortable side-saddle seat, taking up room and stopping anyone else from sitting down with big four-wheeler guide. Oh, dear! Christine got on en route, but we were far too apart to talk.

Back home at the flats, and I carried a bag for Chrissie, who had a lot of heavy stuff she’s bought, to carry so far for her. We were enjoying a verbalisationing session, as  Generalfeldmarschalless Housing Patch Manager/ Catwalk Model, Angela Gould was passing in her pap-pap. Crissie stopped for a natter, but I dare not, as the need for a wee-wee was unwelcomingly close. So I slowly walked on with the bag and trolley and waited a few seconds, and Christine caught up. We went up in the elevator, and U foolishly got in first, forgetting that the gal lived above me! So the poor gal had to get out of the cage to let me out and then back in again. But she was very civil about it. Bless her! We said our farewells, and I hastened to the WC in the flat!

4Thu28Got the things bought put away, and started to make the fodder.

For some reason, I felt hungry. I was going to have some bacon and beans, but decided this meal, would be quicker to make. Haha!

A flavour rating of 8.5/10, and went off to get the washing up done. During which I needed another SWWW (Short-weak-wee-wee).

Took the medications, made a brew, and I tried to watch an episode of Rumple of the Bailey on TV.

Zzzz!

Inchcock Today – Thur 20 June 2019: A visit from my mate Michael, saved a chronically bad day!

2019 20 June

2019 June 20

Thursday 20th June 2019

Hawaiian: Pōʻalima 20ʻO Lune 2019

03:30hrs. I was full of beans, psyched-up, full of pep, vitality, high-spirits, and ready for anything the day threw at me when I stirred into semi-life this morning. Then I moved… I was freeing my overweight torso from the £300 second-hand. c1968, rickety, near dilapidated, ramshackle, grungy-beige, sometimes working, rusty recliner, to use the emergency grey wee-wee bucket…

WD153.51.0 4Thu03And I gave the already, wounded, still-tender, bashed about right toe, another right-good stubbing on the Ottoman!

The feeling full of beans, being psyched-up, in high spirits, and ready for anything the day threw at me when I stirred into semi-life this morning, declined, ebbed then vanished (probably permanently) into the ether!

The wee-wee was of the rare SPSHPLWW (Short-Painfull-Semi-Hose-Pipe-Like Wee-Wee) variety. Which didn’t help the rapidly-destroyed and dematerialised spirits, either!

I got the hand-washed t-shirt and socks on the stand-up airy. Took the medications and turned my attention to making up a blog on yesterday’s Tropical House visit. This took me several hours, with so many photographicalisations needing sorting out. However, the fingers, arm, and shoulder were not doing their Hokey-Cokey routine. Well, they were, but only for a few seconds each time, this was encouraging, I can cope with this.

So, by the time I had got it finished and posted-off to WordPress, In between a much-varied selection of wee-wees), it was a good four hours beyond my posting time for the previous days dairy.

4Thu001I did the belated health checks, which did not look good today. Sys 89, Dia 69, Pulse 105, and Temperature 34.1°c.

I made a mug of tea, and a heard a muffled sound from the hallway. Some mail had arrived, well a circular. It was about avoiding false Fire Alarms. The advice was the usual, but I wish they had added to their ‘Cook with care, switch cooker off,’ with, in between uses!

4Thu04The morning was nice and bright, even a bit of sun came out.

WD153.51.0 I made a start on updating the Wednesday diary. And what a job that was, the electric-like dancing fingers, right leg and shoulder were now coming on for more extended periods, making more corrections and time needed than ever to be sorted out. Most vexatious! I had to have a rest.

4Thu05I got some sliced mushrooms in the crock-pot with a splash of the 40% balsamic vinegar, and podded some peas and got them in the saucepan.

I thought I had done an excellent job, added a little vinegar and demerara sugar. When I was doing the pot cleaning, I espied one pea on the floor. How he escaped, I don’t know! Hehe!

I got the ankle-strapping on, then remembered I am not supposed to wear it without socks on. Klutz! Tsk!

The landline light flashed. It was my old mate Michael, he was checking to see if I was in or not. Great! He’s on his way to see us.

For a phlyarologist, I surprised myself as I persistently nattered with myself for the next hour. I chinwagged of the Porcelain Throne, chattered in the kitchen and waffled having another wee-wee. The so-called conversation for mostly a two-way disaster. With much of self-talk topic or subject matter being forgotten as I spoke it. Humph!

4Thu05aMichael arrived, and I was over the moon to have a great, proper two-way varied discussion for an hour or more. I wasn’t aware that Michael had had three strokes, and it proves his determination, they only kept him in the hospital for three days last time! Then he found out he should have gone to another hospital or clinic, but nobody had told him! Yes, we share our luck sometimes, Mike and me! I regretted it when he had to go, but it was great of him to call, and it cheered me up considerably! I tried to take his photo as he got in his car, but the shakes meant I could not take one in time. Still, I got his tank with him in it! Haha! The one on the left.

4Thu06Feeling a little blue after he had departed, I heard more muffled sounds, so checked, and I had had three letters delivered. The Warfarin INR level results. A letter from Boots opticians Which I screwed up an threw in the recycling bin. And, a message about the fitting of the upgrading of the door-entry Intercom communication.the very thought of any electricians working in the flat, gives me goose-bumps and scares me to death, at the thought of having to clean up after them!

At last, gone 13:00hrs, I made a start on this blog! Eight hours at least, later than usual!

4Thu27I got the nosh on that wasn’t already on, and put some chips (fries) in the oven.

Had another heck of an extra long wee-wee of the LSPWWW (Long Slow Painful Weak Wee-wee) mode.

Then got the nosh served up. Good one, nice mixture. 7.5/10 flavour rating.

Medications and I got down in the c1968 rickety recliner, to watch the ladies football matches. I started jumping twixt channel 9 and 61 on Freeview, between the two games being shown… I woke up and could not get back to sleep after the football had all finished. Spit!

Inchcock Today – Thursday 13th June 2019: Bus trip out, Fresh Pod Peas purchased and digested. Exciting life, innit? Haha!

2019 13 June

2019 June 13

Thursday 13th June 2019:

Finnish: Torstai 13. Kesäkuuta 2019

02:50hrs: Woke up, with a bit of what was, or seemed, a long dream in the memory box. I was in the jungle in a campsite, staked out on the floor in a clearing, and being skinned alive by Charles de Gaulle?

As is usual lately, the waking-thoughts being processed were rapidly replaced with the need to have a wee-wee.

I exited the £300 second-hand, gungy-beige c1968, rickety recliner with ease almost. No Arthur Itis, Reflux Roger, Hernia Harry or Shaking Shaun was bothering me at all! Although, I did take a little longer than usual to gain my balance. With the aid of the walking stick, I got to the wet room without any accifauxpas.

4Thu02WD90..0.0 While in there, I carried out another rummage around in vain hopes of finding the misplaced or lost Cancer Sample return envelope. No luck, of course. Humph! I also tried to pass on The Porcelain Throne to get a sample. Going through almost agony, but managed.

But, I still had no return envelope to use. Most irritating and annoying, my not knowing what the heck I did with that envelope. Frustration Mode Adopted. Humph!

Off to the kitchen, and got the hand washing done. Washed a shirt and socks, and got the trousers from yesterday drying on the flat airer. Hung the t-shirt up over the sink, and put the socks on the pipe-airer.

I took the morning medications. A little early, I know. Then I did the health checks; Sia 81, Dia 72, Pulse 92, and the Temperature was at 35.5°c.

I put a large potato in the crock-pot and started it going on low.

The view outside had to be photographicalised. The morning’s colouring was one of almost ghostly, and or phantasmagorical. Well, it was to me, but I am partly colourblind.

4Thu05a

Back to the wet room for another wee-wee. This time of the rare LSPDOWWs (Long-Slow-Painfull-Drawn-out-Wee-wee) classification. While in there, I put down the drain dose of drain unblocker, in the wet room sink.

WD90..0.0 I set about on the Computer updating the Wednesday blog. It soon turned again into hard work. As the fingers kicked off on their dancing and electrified-jumping routine. To be joined at times by the wrist and shoulder; which at times, was so violent. This Peripheral neuropathy seems to be getting worse each morning, as is to expected thinking about it. It is in the mornings mostly that I am to be found belting away at the keyboard. So, the nerves at the finger-ends are bound to be worse at this time. Forget I said owt!

4Thu07I got the Tuesday lactarium finished at last. And went to make a brew.

The lightness of the morning caught me out. Of course, I had to realise how long I had been working at getting the diary updated and finished.

I got it posted and sent off to WordPress.

Then its time for the ablutions to be done, in case the INR blood nurse comes early, as she did last week.

4Thu08Off to the wet room again. The shave was almost blood-loss-less! Haha! The new toothpaste was, how shall I put it? Erm… Well, er, disappointing at first. Not a nice taste. I thought I ought to go back to the regular one.

But as I was showering, the mouth felt a lot fresher? Was this due to the MaxFresh paste? If so, it might be better if I put up with the odd, taste that comes with it.

I got things ready and poddled to the hut, and handed some prizes and nibbles out. Then caught the 09:30hrs L9 bus to Arnold. Many nattering sessions and chinwags were enjoyed, very much so.

Most folk got off in Sherwood, but four of us from the flats went on, to Arnold. I was chatting away, en route.

In the Estate, I took these shot on the bus, from the side-saddle seat.

4Thu13aa

They show how murky it was getting. I dropped off in Daybrook, and called in the Sainsbury store, in the hope of getting some fresh garden peas.

I was in luck. I came out with some garden peas. Anya potatoes, yellow sunglow and brown Caramella tomatoes. Not a lot! Paid the woman on the till, and out to catch the same bus on its return journey. Mary, Pete, and Ray were on the same bus. We had another natter en route to the flats. In Sherwood, three more Winwoodonians got on. Angela, Roy and Shiela. Even more, gossip ensured.

Walking along Chestnut Way with Angela and Roy, I stubbed the same flipping toe against the wheel of the trolley-guide when a car came from behind and broke my concentration. No complaints, we were all walking on the road to avoid the filthy footpath with our wheeled aids. Haha!

Roy needed a sit down in the lobby. I stayed to keep him and Angela company and keep them smiling. Cyndy came in later, and we all went up in the lift together. Up in the elevator and another bit of jollity shared.

4Thu11Fond cheerios shared, and I got in the flat. A wee-wee. Wash. And got the peas shelled and in the saucepan for cooking later. Got the mature cheddar out to add to the spud later on.

Here are the day’s purchases (Just showing off the healthy foods I got, Hehehe!).

WD90..0.0 Then as I was setting about updating this post, the intercom rang. It was the INR nurse – Blimey! I’d forgotten all about her coming! Thank Heaven, she arrived late. I avoided making a right clanger there! Oy vey!

I mashed the slow-cooked potato and husk up with some shredded mature cheddar cheese, and got it in the oven cooking and browning, I hope. Washed the crock-pot and cutlery. Did some more blogging, and it was soon time to get the nosh served up!

I got a call from a Stroke Physio nurse (I think). Making out what was said was confusing. (I shall be so glad when I eventually get the hearing aids mended… mind you, I might be ninety by then, the way things are going so slowly Tsk!) I think she is calling in the morning, to put me through the agony of physical activities. Argh! Hehehe!

2Tue15eBoy oh boy, the potatoes came out beautifully burnt and crisp on the outside! The fresh garden peas were just fantastic (So were the ones that never made it to the saucepan as they were being podded!). The fancy tomatoes were tasty and sweet. The Polish herbed-meat was magnificent. Even the gherkins tasted so good today!

A flavour rating of 9.55/10 for this one!

I got the pots washed, had a wee-wee, and settled down for few dozen five-minute nod-offs – waking up and repeating the process. I’d put the TV on to keep me amused for the odd three minute sessions when I woke up! It also allowed to see what programmes I was missing Hahaha!

Inchcock Today – Thursday 16th May 2019: Caroline, Sonia, Jemma, Muhsina and Inchcock gathering in the flat – Yee-Ha!

May 16

2019 May 16

Thursday 16th May 2019

Chichewa: Lachinayi pa 16 May 2019

WD0.51.102 03:25hrs. After a night of oh, so many WPSWWs (Weak-Painful-Spraying-Wee-Wees), that together would not have filled a small cup. Naturally, I was still tired. I woke in need of another visit to the EGPWWB Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-wee bucket (And peed-off, Hehehe!), out of the £300 second-hand, c1968, grotty-beige rickety recliner, and to the bucket. I reckon I passed enough this time, to wet a cotton wool bud, but not saturate it! I must tell the nurse about this ongoing problem.

WD0.51.102 Then as I was getting myself balanced and sorted, a call to the Porcelain Throne arrived, and with some urgency about it for once. Unhesitatingly, and with high hopes, I grabbed the stick to facilitate a quicker journey time, and shot (Well, that may be a little overdoing it), to the wet room. Where to my surprise, a motion was passed at last! Painful and not a lot, but more than for days now. A multi-coloured offering; that left a frowsy, mephitic aroma, that I hope will hold no pheromonic content. Haha!

I wish there were a kind of panchymagogue available over the counter, I might have tried some. Hehehe!

I sorted the morning medications and had a search again, for the thermometer. (I found the box days ago), but the machine needed finding. To my own amazement, I found it in a 4Thu02drawer I must have searched in several times this week. What a putz! 35.4° Low, was the reading.

I got some Gungo beans marinating in, tomato puree, black bean sauce, mustard, demerara sugar, and balsamic vinegar.

I got on the computer and updated the Wednesday post.

I believe that my blog, is a way for me to desarcinate my problems, and write in such a way, humorously; that it may encourage readers to have a laugh at my antics and Whoopsiedangleplops. And I get the satisfaction in return when it does. I don’t know why I said that! Hehe!

I got the post finalised and sent off, at last.

Then, I set about sorting the old hearing aids, cleaning, getting rid of the wax, and drying them and refitting. During which, the Carer arrived. New chap again, name of Chris, decent sort of chap. He got the hang of the Ankle-Support with the help of the larger photo I’d put on the computer, no bother.

After he had gone, the Axonotmesis ridden right leg went into one of its ‘Shaking Shaun’ Modes. Honestly, if anyone had seen it belting away on its own accord, they would have thought it was a comedy sketch! Hahaha!

WD0.51.102 Several more unnecessary trips to the WC, well for what came out, every WPSWW was nothing more than Inchcock giving out ‘Oohs and Arghs, as he lunged over the raised toilet, knowing he should have used the EGPWWB really, cause the few seconds of splashed needed cleaning up every time. Most vagarius! Humph!

4Thu001I started this blog going and made a Thoughts and a page top Brexit graphic. While listening to the noises from up above. Scratch, tap-tap bang!

Around 09:00hrs, I checked the calendar to confirm today’s appointments.

Afternoon sessions that are going to guarantee sleeplessness for me. But you never know nowadays.

I gathered the raffle prizes and nibbles in the walker-trolley, ready for the Social Hour at the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights Flats, and Administration shed for the Generalleutnantess Wardens Temporary HQ, Sarcasm & Insult distribution area, Tenants Socialisation Shed. Rumourmongering Clinic. Telling Inchcock off Zone, Things like crockery and pottery to be stolen from, and the much-used emergency Toilet.

4Thu03aTook the nine black bags to the waste chute and set off down and out to the Social Hour. A long time since I’ve been to one, looking forward to it.

The legs and ankle felt reasonable this morning, as I plodded along Chestnut Way with my Three-Wheeled-Walker.

There were very few people about, and I did 4Thu04not see a single worker on site. Might be there tea-break time.

I limped along at what I thought was a fast pace, and was overtaken by a lady with her Three-Wheeled Walker. Left me standing she did! Haha!

I got a decent welcome when I entered the hut. I put the raffle prizes on the trolley, and Cyndy handed around the nibbles for me, Bless her! ♥

WD0.51.102 I spoke with Big Brian, getting the conversation going, and I sensed that I needed a wee-wee. By the time I had stood up, it was too late… I had an accident and the fluid escaped of its own accord! The embarrassment crescendoed, and I had to leave for fear of any smells that may humiliatingly show themselves. Thank heavens that I had the Protection Pants on, at least. Another Social Meeting ruined for me! This Stroke is making life so hard, wearying, worrying, debilitating, fatiguing, daunting, and stressful. Still, I’m still here. Na-na-na-nan nana! Hahaha!

I beat a quiet as a possible retreat, back to the flat and the wet room to freshen and clean things up. The shame helped me move faster, I think.

It may be all that time with the catheter on in Hospital that is part of the reason. I recall they were about to take it off so the body could get used to handling thins itself when  I found I had an allergy to one of the new medicines. That took a few days to sort out, by then, they needed the bed and moved me to the Residential Home at the Acorn, no, Oaks. So not much time for the bladder to get working again. I’ve not had a proper wee in eleven weeks!

4Thu05I did stop a minute to take a shot of Woodthorpe Court, though. Snapped it so quickly, I was surprised how well it came out.

As I got to the flat door, I pressed Josie’s doorbells, but no answer. I got inside and put the trolley in the spare room, and then to the wet room and washed my crassulent body, and put new fresh PPs on. I felt a little better but still self-conscious and aware of my Whoopsiedangleplop, and a little guilt-ridden.

My doorbell chimes rang out with Dusty Springfield’s “I only want to be with you” tune. It was Josie, she was in the shower when I rang. I asked if she would like some Cheesy Potatoes this Saturday, and she seemed agreeable to that. I get pleasure out of cooking for someone, it’s been donkey’s years since I have before. The conversation was not easy. Josie’s hearing worse than mine, and with my current hearing aids awaiting having new moulds fitted, and the old ones I was wearing seemingly gone to pot, it was, to say the least, an entertaining gossip. Hahaha! Cheered me, all the same.

4Thu06I stirred the Gungo beans again and got the computer on to update this post.

Went to make a brew, and took these pictures in the sunshine, through the unwanted, multi-paned, light & view blocking, this framed new kitchen windows.Bootiful!

The camera battery-light flashed. So, I put it on to recharge.

I used the new Panasonic to take this photo.

4Thu05a

I’ve got three medical staff coming to see me at the same time later today. That should be fun trying to hear what they say! What next can go wrong? I’ll take that question back. Please, I don’t want to know. Oy Vey!

Did some TFZer Facebooking and went on the WordPress Reader.

In the space of ten minutes, I had Nurse Jemma and a student nurse Muhsina, and Caroline and Sonia in the flat. Pandemonium reigned. Cause of having no hearing aids, things got a little confusing for me. Hehe!

WD0.51.102 After some initial sorting out, pandemonium, brouhaha, hurly-burlyness ensued. And it was good! Nurse Jemma and Muhsina were left in the flat, for her to try and sort out the medications for me. Caroline, Sonia and I went outside, to try out the four-wheeled-walker they had brought for me to try out. It is naturally more significant, but so much safer! Bless em! ♥ Plenty of comments from the gals as we passed by in the lobby. Haha! I took the camera with us, but I forgot all about it. Humph!

When we got back, Jemma had done an excellent job and took me through the current medications. She had called the doctors and the chemists for me. And arranged for someone from, ‘Medical Compliance Service’ to call and see me on Monday, about blister packs that she had also organised, and the new medications.

Caroline and Sonia, gave dates for their next visits, and we spoke of so much safety methods, antics, etc. and much more that I just cannot remember. The pair left, with me a more contented person for their visit.

Jemma went through the medications as were in the drawer. Told me not to use the Gee-up pills or magnesium at all again. Taking my pulse took about eight attempts and two machines.  I joked that I must be dead! Hahaha! Jemma, aware of my wee-wee problems, got me supplied with some urine in a sample bottle and she checked it against the listing. Seems I have a urine infection and need some antibiotics. Which she had already informed the doctors and arranged for a prescription to be sent to the chemist – then offered to fetch and return to the flat with them! Off she went, leaving me a pleased and happier person.

I got the beans stirred and on a low heat. And the oven warming. Updated this blog, again.

WD0.51.102 Jemma returned, with April’s prescriptions! She explained they had been forgotten about by Doctor, and the Chemist! She reminded me that the Antibiotic course could turn the urine green or brown, but this is to be expected and of no concern. The tablets are to be taken four times a day, with food, to avoid sleepiness and something else, I forgot what it was. They are named Nitrofurantoin.

She went through the bag and found several more medications that are no longer to be taken. I must take these to a chemist for destroying, or could give them to the ‘Medical Compliance Service’ man or woman, on Monday or Tuesday.

With helpers like Caroline, Sonia, Jemma, and Muhsina, the Stroke was almost worth it!

I was well shattered when they had all left, but in good spirits that someone really cares.

Updating this blog, and Nottingham City Homes Housing Patch Manager and Belly-Dancer Angela rang me. She had read the Inchcock Today and informed me I could use the shower any morning at 0700hrs. That was kind of her. ♥ I thanked her for her concern and kindness.

Got the nosh prepared and served up. Taking the medications, starting the antibiotics at the same time. I looked it up: Nitrofurantoin is an antibacterial drug used to treat urinary tract and bladder infections caused by Escherichia coli or Staphyloccocus saprophyticus strains of bacteria that are sensitive to this drug. By gum, that makes me sound clever, 4Thu07Hehe!

I did take a photo of the meal, but I had left the SD card in the computer. Gnash! I found out when I took this picture later. I had actually eaten all of the food! First time in ages. Must have been the attention of the ladies that perked me up! Certainly brought my appetite back! Hahaha!

And getting to sleep was no problem either… ZZZ!

Inchcock Today – Fri 22 Feb 19: The wee-wees are back – ensuring another day indoors. Hello, The trotskies now too!

Friday 22nd February 2019

Croatian: Petak, 22. veljače 2019

00:30hrs. I woke, remembering a bit of a dream. I was underground in the dark tunnel and walking towards the exit door, which bore a neon sign above it; “Freedom beyond – Have your bus pass ready!” Suddenly, I realised I did not want to escape anymore. That’s it really, all I can recall, and my walking back into the darkness?

Getting out of the £300 c.1968, second-hand rickety recliner was a little more difficult this morning. Due to the pain from where I banged my right leg against the corner of the chair arm yesterday, at the Social Hour.

WD 0.0.255c The first of the day’s wee-wees arrived. The Emergency Grey Bin was utilised. It was an SNSWW (Short-No-Sensation-Wee-wee), as was the one I had to take just five minutes later?

Off I went to get the Health Checks done.

5Fri001

5Fri001bThe results looked fair enough to me.

Not the weight of course. The pulse has been high all week.

WD 0.0.255c Off to the wet room for another wee-wee, this time of the SSPWW (Short-Sharp-Painful-Wee-wee) variety. Tsk!

2019 Feb 22While wee-weeing, I had to change tack to cope with the sudden demand for a Porcelain Throne evacuation that arrived! Messy!

The legs were checked, only a slight bruise where I banged the leg, but masses of thick spider-veins had appeared.

5Fri002The famously distorted right knee had changed its shape again. I can see no faces in it this morning. The wound is looking far less like that of a saprogenous type.

More like a lunar landscape perhaps? Hehehe! Oh, off to the grey bucket again.

I washed and went to the kitchen to make a mug of tea.

5Fri003aWD 0.0.255c I tried to do a panoramic shot of the view from the unwanted light and view-blocking new window.

But, I failed on around eight tries to get it to record one on this old Sony camera. I was unable to hold the thing steady enough to take the panoramic shot. So, I made an ordinary one of the early morning lights of Nottingham.

I got on the computer and made a start on this blog.

Had to have another wee-wee. They seem to have settled back into the SSPWW (Short-Sharp-Painful-Wee-wee) style, now.

At 02:30hrs, I heard a dull bang from somewhere. Five minutes later, I heard a louder thud? I hope someone has not fallen over, I’ll put the hearing aids in, so I can listen in case I hear knocking again and try to locate where it is coming from. All I can discern is that it came from above my flat. Fingers crossed there is no one in trouble.

02:45hrs. I got this post caught up with to here, then went onto updating the Thursday Post. This will take a while.

05:45hrs. Blimey, it did ages as well! Along with nine SSPWWs. I got it posted off, then went on the WP reader section.

06:00hrs. Went onto Facebook, to catch up with the TFZers and photo albums. This took a while as well. Plus, three SSPWWs.

5Fri0050720hrs: Brekkers time now. I’ll have the sarnies I couldn’t eat last night, with marmite crisps and a mug of tea and watch a YouTube clip or two. Back soon.

As soon as I stood up, the body seemed to come to life: I needed a wee-wee, the wind began spontaneous emissions of wind from the rear end, the hiccups started and the worms in the leg wound became active! Hehehe! Don’t know why I’m laughing? Had to empty the Emergency Grey Plastic Bin before I could use it. Tsk!

08:55hrs: Guess who fell asleep in the computer chair, only waking up as started to fall off of it? What a Plonka!

09:05hrs: I set about creating some diary page graphics and then made-up some drafts.

11:55hrs: I’d got a few done. Feeling tired already. Then I made a start on the drafts done and saved to file. Accompanied by four SPWWs.

WD 0.0.255c 12:45hrs, a lot scraping and tapping noises coming from 5Fri007above. I expect it might be from either the Sprinker work or BJ doing his model making.

I finished the drafts in full. But, I only managed to get ten done in total before I felt so drained and tired. Poor old thing!

15:00hrs. I’ve had it now, drained.

Did the health checks then, I got the cooked bacon in the pan with the baked beans. I left them on a low light to keep warm and marinate with the added mustard and BBQ seasoning. Put the chips in the oven.

In between wee-wees, I got the Health Checks sorted.

Served up the meal. I thought at first when I got it on the tray, that I’d made too much for me to eat again. But, not this time, I scoffed the lot!

5Fri29

5Fri30I took the things to soak them in the sink bowl, and the sky colouring I thought was worth recording.

As I was clicking the button on the camera, it became apparent that I needed the Porcelain Throne yet again – urgently!

WD 0.0.255c Oh, Boy! Trotsky Terence was on good form this time. Talk about messy in the extreme! Perhaps having the seasoned baked beans was a mistake? Hahaha!

I got me settled to watch some TV… Zzzz!

Inchcock – Thur 14 Feb 2019: A difficult to understand, disconcerting, beyond my comprehensibility sort of day. Regrettably!

Thursday 14th February 2019

Polish: 14 Lutego 2019 r

4Thu03aWd BLACK 23:40hrs. As I woke up, the brain was a torrent of many confused thoughts. A breach of the peace of my mind. I wasn’t sure if I was still dreaming or not, but I was musing over my being in a condemned cell, playing Monopoly with a chap I thought was my executioner. The themes changed, but over the next fifteen minutes or so, I always seemed to come back to the distempered brick walled cell, and my being beaten into Monopoly bankruptcy by the hangman. Who incidentally was wearing a pink hood, while the rest of the visions were in mono? The side thoughts and fears were all involving nerterology of some sort. These mystifying ponderations eventually dissipated into the ether, as a wee-wee was required. Luckily, I scribbled some notes on the pad on the Ottoman. For when it came to my writing this blog, all actual memories of any dreaming had gone, apart from the picture of me in the cell, which I tried to reproduce in the graphic above.

Getting my abdominally weighty body free of the second-hand, 1968 rusty recliner, was done with no problems or pains. Amazing how things are so different from one morning to the next?

Wd BLACK Ah, back to the SSDWWs (Short-Sensationless-Dribbling-wee-wees) again. Always difficult to judge whether they have finished or not, so, extra care was needed to be taken. Tsk!

I went to the computer to turn it on and saw the reminder note hanging on the screen. The Doctor today 0850hrs. Leg problems, falling asleep all the time, kidney pains, Furesomide, and hosiery availability. I put this note into the jacket pocket straight away, so I didn’t forget to take it with me to the surgery and made sure the INR Anticoagulation and Arterial Thrombosis clinic record card was in there too. This made me remember the nibbles for the nurses and staff, so I put them in the bag.

Had another SSDWW, then I got the Health Checks done.

4Thu001a

4Thu01Wd BLACK Aha, I expected this to happen, especially as I am off to the Doctors later; The BP has come down suddenly. Huh! The temperature and pulse are still high though.

I’d just made a brew of tea, and had to nip off to the wet room to use the Porcelain Throne. The evacuation was a bit messy and with a little bleeding.

4Thu001 Wd BLACK When I checked the pins, the blood papsules, welts or whatever they are on the ankle, were a little more vivid this morning. But dry, no leaking at all.

Another SSDWW, they are coming a bit regularly at the moment. Oh, dear!

Made a start on updating the Wednesday blog, and within minutes, another Porcelain Throne visit was required.

Sept 11e

The thought of them coming back!

This one was far less messy and with much less bleeding. However, the aroma that accompanied the evacuation was so strong, I had to shut the window in case it attracted any Scarabaeidae (dung beetles – surprisingly there are 40 species in the UK!) who might have caught a whiff, to join the Weevils in the flat. Hehehe!

As I wrote this, and not having seen any EIBWBBBs (Evil ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles) for a while, I looked up on the web to find out if they hibernate. I found out that: Boll weevils do hibernate in winter and before sleeping they produce many further generations. The female can lay up to 300 eggs over a 10 – to 12 -day period! They come out of hibernation in Spring it says. Argh! I’m glad I’ve got some sprays at the ready for when they relaunch their attacks!

Oh, the memories of my losing battle with them haunt me. The thought that they will return pees me off!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Got some brekkers. Marmite biscuits with a round of Marmite cheese, and a mug of tea and few Scottish Shortie biscuits to round it off.

Ablution sorted. Did the midday Health Checks in case I am back too late from the surgery.

4Thu04I set off out: the weather was not too cold at all as I plodded down Winchester Street Hill.

Left onto Mansfield Street and first right along Marshall Street and onto Mansfield Road, turning left towards Carrington.

I was feeling pretty good in myself, apart from 4Thu05a few wobbles here and there, but they were not proper dizzies, just a loss of balance. Likely due to the blood pressure, and the water retention in the pins.

I ambled along, no rush, I’d given myself plenty of time to get to Sherrington Park in time.

4Thu05aWd BLACK At the Library, a Nottingham Pavement Cyclist nearly hit me as he sped by me from behind. Too quick for me to get the camera out.

Near the top of the hill crest, an idiot of a disabled scooter rider was travelling on the road in the bus lane! Unbelievable!

Wd BLACK Down the hill and into the surgery. I was instantly cheered when a lady asked me if I was feeling alright! “Fine thank you” I replied, she added: “Well you don’t look it, very pale you are!” I’m not if this was due to the water retention or the Warfarin INR level being so far out.

I logged in and had to nip to their WC for a wee-wee. Back to the waiting area got the crossword book out. But the concentration was terrible, and I didn’t answer many clues today. Dr Vindla came out to call me in.

I thought it would be polite to start with “How do you feel now you’re back from holiday” and threw her a smile…

Busy!” came the reply!

I handed her the notes I’d made of things of concern.

Furesomide: “Have you been taking the Furosemide?” – “No, I’ve run out! – “Why?” – I asked for some and was told it would be best to wait for your return before getting any in case you wanted me to stop them!” Her fingers flashed on the computer keyboard, and she told me that, “A prescription had been sent to the chemist a fortnight ago and not been collected!” Although I had not been informed about this, I felt a right fool!

Showed her the new welts and papsules on the ankle top. She had a poke about and took a swab from the wound. Called Nurse Ann into the room (No nurse Nichole for me today! Sob!) They both had a prod around, and I was informed that after the sample had been analysed in a day or two, I would be contacted to go to a Treatment Centre somewhere, whoever can fit you in, and be examined. Also, they will sort out some support hosiery for you if needed!

I mumbled my thanks to her.

“You can go now,” she said. Pointing to the other door in the room, “That way, and don’t forget Nurse Ann will put a dressing on that wound!” Me: No, thank you very much! Head down and off out and sat in the nurses waiting area.

I was called in and told to sit down! The blood was taken, and I handed her the Anticoagulation record. She took the blood sample and said: “Press hard on that, right!” So I pressed hard on the cotton wool. As she set about putting some cream and a large plaster on the leg wound, which was uncomfortable with my pushing down hard on the arm vein and leaning against the arm on the trolley top to aid the pressure, with the other foot spread out in the opposite direction being medicated. Hehehe!

The kidney examination and the Shingle injection are both booked for next Thursday, now. And don’t forget to fetch the Furesomides from the pharmacy! “Thank you” I sheepishly replied.

4Thu06I left her some nibbles and departed to the receptionist. Left them a box of the chocolate wheels.

Just so glad to get out.

I made my way to the Chemists in Carrington. Scarily I caught my reflection in the barber’s window: By Gawd the lady was right, I did look very pale! Tsk!

The pretty young lady in the chemist then asked me if I was feeling alright? If I looked that bad and poorly, how come no one in the surgery said anything? Confusion-Mode-Adopted!

I asked for the medications. She looked confused and summoned the pharmacist. He told me that I came in two weeks ago, and I was told that the next monthly prescriptions would be ready around the 2nd March! Yes, I said, but I do not want them, the Doctor told she had sent a prescription for Furesomide… He interrupted: We have not received any prescriptions for Furesomide for you! As I was saying, the Doctor told she had sent a prescription for Furesomide two weeks ago. It’s just that no one told me!

Ah, yes. And then, he went behind his counter and gave the said medications to the pretty girl, and he pretended to look busy and spoke to me no more!

Am I going mad, or did all this really happen to me? No wonder I’m looking pale!

4Thu07I went into the Lidl store and came out with a fresh ready-made dinner, nibble-box top-ups, crispy onions, tomatoes and a bag of very costly, but classy Swedish, or was it Switzerland made nougat. Which, of course, I will limit myself to eating just one cube a day, and not overdo it, cause it has a lot of sugar in it. Ahem!

4Thu06aThis Nottinghamian Pavement Cyclist shot by, and I am sure he did not even know or was bothered about how close he came to hitting the lady stood in front of me. Git!

Now a little concerned by my pale appearance and the uncomfortable medical experiences, I caught a bus back to Sherwood, to get the L9, up the hill to the apartments.

The timing looked good. 4Thu08Dropped off in Sherwood and crossed over the road and met resident Roy doing some window shopping.

We tried to have a natter, but both of having low voices and suffering hearing loss, it was a bit ridiculous.

The bus arrived on time and soon had us back at the apartments.

I popped into the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights Flats, and Administration shed for the Generalleutnantess Wardens Temporary HQ, Willmott-Dixon workers breakfast and tea-break room, Sarcasm & Insult distribution area, Tenants Socialisation Shed. Rumourmongering Clinic. Telling Inchcock off Zone, Things like porcelain and pottery to be stolen from, and residents room.

With them medics seeing me early and rushing me through, this meant I could catch the last few minutes of the Winwood Social Hour. But, most had left by then. Had a natter with BJ outside the hut, and went in. Jenny was in good form, telling me off for me not telling the doctor people I could not attend Thursday meetings. I did mean to, but the confusion over so many things, appointments, treatments, and ailments is my excuse for not doing it. Hehe!4Thu09

I think maybe I still looked a bit pale, cause Frank and Shirl asked if I was okay, and they don’t usually. I said mt farewells to Cyndy, no, she’d already left, Mo and Shirl, not many other folks in there, and departed back to the flat.

4Thu10As I hobbled along back to the apartment, I took these two pictures. The top one of Winchester Court with Winwood Court on the left in the image.

Then, on the left, a shot of Winwood and Woodthorpe on the far left.

Met no one on the way up to the number 72. Got in the flat and the first thing that I did was to take a Furesomide, with the other medications. Put the bits away that I’d bought, and got on the computer to update this dairy before the memory faded.

Wd BLACK Ten minutes or so into starting the updating, oh boy, did the wee-weeing start! And they were of the LHBLWWs (Long Hosepipe-Blasting like Wee-wees), And they came and came for hours and hours. Just one Furesomide tablet has caused me such discomfort it’s unbelievable!

Wd BLACK Little Inchies fungal lesion is now bleeding!

I am now, so irritable with the day, myself, and everything!

4Thu12Wd BLACK Even made a right mess of cooking the Cumberland pie, I dropped it and made a right mess! Substituted it with the Dirty Fries and a pie slice.

Got it prepared eventually. Ate it in misery, having to break off for more wee-wees. Already I’ve had to empty the Emergency Grey Bin!

Even the bloody legs had gone white in support of the face. Now the stomach has started aching, I don’t believe this! I’m fed up! Sorry about that, a little self-pity-sorry-for-myselfness sneaked in there. Tsk!

4Thu20Got the nosh sorted. This was a little hot for my liking, but I still enjoyed it mix. Dirty Chips with various cheeses. I added some tomatoes, roar dried onions and a meat slice with some American BBQ poured on the pastry.

A taste-Rating of 7.9/10 for this meal.

I got settled in the £300 second-hand rickety recliner, with some biscuits and sweeties in case I woke up and wanted a nibble later on.

I recall wondering if I should bother trying to watch some TV… And off into the land of Nod, I drifted.

Not waking for a wee-wee or any other reason for a solid seven-hours! Yet I still woke up feeling tired.

Ah-well! TTFN!

Inchcock – Thursday 7th February 2019: The day started off well – then got worserer and worserer, mentally and medically! Humph! Tsk!

Thursday 7th February 2019

Finnish: Torstai 7. Helmikuuta 2019

GCPram23:40hrs: Woke and tried my best to recall a dream I’d been having. About childhood and schooldays I think, I can’t recall any detail at all, but have the ‘feeling’ that I didn’t enjoy it.

The urgent call to the Porcelain Throne arrived, so I manipulated my grossly stomached body from the £300 second-hand 1968 recliner, and off to the WC. Amazingly, I had little bother getting free of the chair, standing up or hobbling to the wet room at all!

GC scowl Wd BLACK Got settled on the Throne, the evacuation took all of three seconds and was a right messy-sloppy affair. But this did not grab my attention much at the time, because the moment the movement began, Back-Pains-Brenda kicked-off around the kidney area, lower back on the right, and has stayed with me on and off all day! It feels like an intense but dull aching pain, no stabbing, just persistent while it lasts, and that varies from ten minutes to an hour or two? What next! Oy gevalt! I rubbed plenty of the Phorpain Gel into the area, but do not have a lot of faith in it doing much to relieve the situation. I dare not take any extra painkillers, cause I’m on my maximum allowed at the moment. What with Duodenal Donald, Arthur Itis’s knees and the left ankle and heel; now being joined by Brenda-Back-Pain and the kidneys. I wonder if the back pain is splanchnic? And boy, am I tired all the time lately! At least I got to book an appointment with Dr Vindla for next Thursday. I hope things don’t viliorate in the meantime. But I suspect my own senescence will be the cause of whatever this new debilitating ailment turns out to be.

Got the porcelain cleaned up and disinfected, washed the dandies, felt sorry-for-myself and went to get the Health Checks done. As like yesterday, I was getting the accoutrements gathered, and had to have a wee-wee again. Today, they seem to be of the SSNSWW (Short-Sharp-No-Sensation-Wee-wee), variety, up to now, anyway.

Back to the kitchen again.

4Thu001a

4Thu01At least the Sys and Dia had come down a good bit. The temperature had gone up a tad. Not that I fully understand it all yet. As for the weight, I’d sooner not mention that; else it will get Sister Jane annoyed and set her off on one her ‘Shame-Inchcock-For-being-Fat-Missions’ again! Hehe!

Got the medications taken, and had to trot back to the wet room for another Porcelain Throne session. Tsk!

4Thu02Another super-quick, spurty, liquified, messy evacuation.

Checked out the pins (legs). They seemed to have far less fluid in them this morning. Still misshaped and rock hard though. And now, the left leg is bigger than the right one – opposite to yesterday. Confusing, innit?

I can see an unhappy face just above the Arthur Itis affected left knee in this photo, it even seems to have a moustashe! Can you? Hehehe!

I started to update and finalise the unhappy Wednesday blog. Got it finished and posted off and went on the WordPress Reader. Then caught up with the comments.

I caught up with Facebooking, which took a long time, a really long time with all the photos I’d missed putting on the albums. Klutz!

I gorrit done, eventually, Phew! Now I’ll get some brekkers! Had some porridge.

Got the ablutions done, and sorted out the nibbles and prizes for the Social Hour and got them in the bag.

4Thu03aWd BLACK The pins and ankle were starting to kick off again. Ah, well!

The drizzle looked threatening, but not to me, I was only going to the Social Hut today. Cause I didn’t feel all that good. Poor old thing, Hehe!

Took the black bags to the waste chute, and set off down in the lift and out onto Chestnut Walk.

4Thu04Angela was waiting to go out, I got the umbrella out and covered her as we hobbled in the rain to the hut. I turned to take a photo of Woodthorpe and the New Winwood Court and the Oberstgruppenführer Wardens new holding-cells and offices.

I got in the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights Flats, and Administration shed for the Generalleutnantess Wardens Temporary HQ, Willmott-Dixon lecture room, Sarcasm & Insult distribution area, Tenants Socialisation Shed. Rumourmongering Clinic. Telling Inchcock off Zone, Things like China crockery and pottery to be stolen from, and residents room. A good crowd today, but I with my feeling under the weather and the damned legs giving grief I was struggling. Then Dizzy Dennis joined in the ‘Let’s give Inchcock more pain’ brigade.

I feel sure I enjoyed most of the meeting, but memories are not specific. Jenny I recall was on good form, bless her. I think I left early, cause I found photographs that triggered memories in the morning.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

I got in and did two Health Checks straight away, and took the medications early, cause my EQ told me I was about to fade alertness-wise and this means memory blanks. Feeling-sorry-for-myself-Mode-Engaged. Tsk!

4Thu08I grabbed something to eat, eggs, sausages and bread with a dessert while I was still awake and aware.

I know this cause I found this photo on the SD card in the morning.

The wee-weeing seems to have stopped altogether, don’t know if that is good or bad, cause the legs are filled up and hard, still?

4Thu09I do vaguely recall taking this beautiful shot of the sky later. I think.

I fell asleep at a ridiculous time and just kept on waking up, the TV on, nodding off, waking up, nodding off, waking… well, you get the idea.

Terrible night!

I must get all this written down, to tell the Doctor about things.

TTFN.

Inchcock – Thurs 24 Jan 2019: Busy, busy day.

Thursday 24th January 2019

00:30hrs: After a most disturbed night trying to stay asleep (I’m sure I was awake more than resting all the time, Tsk!), I woke feeling drained and with the mind racing away over worries, concerns, etc. Within a minute or so, the summoning to the Porcelain Throne arrived. I struggled out of the £300 second-hand rickety recliner and off to the wet room. Where I remained for about ten-minutes, sat on the Throne.

WD 0.31.0 Waiting not for the big evacuation to end, but the side-show of the wee-weeing to finish! A new LSPDOWWWSOPs (Long-Slow-Painfull-Drawn-out-Wee-wee-with-spurts-of-power) Mode this morning. I’d taken three of these over the next half an hour. Tsk! Cleaned-up, and returned to the recliner.

WD 0.31.0 Where I found multiple signs of nocturnal nibbling. Guilt-Mode Adopted! No wonder I felt so tired, I must have been nipping to the kitchen cupboard and or fridge all night long!

The mind pretended to function, and I pondered over the needs of the day. Morrison food arriving twixt 06:00>07:00hrs, the nibbles and prizes need sorting for the Social Hour, this diary must get done before 05:00hrs, so I can get the ablutions done before the fodder delivery comes, the Laundry has to be fitted in somehow as well. Oh, and I have to get some filled Enoxaparin Syringes from the Chemist soon.

The mind gave up on me, and all I could think of was getting the Wednesday post done and posted.

Did the Health Checks and the medications were taken.

4thu001

4thu001aSYS and DIA down nicely. Overall a good set of results methinks.

Had a Wee-wee, and got on with updating the blog.

WD 0.31.0 I had to go again a few minutes later, and this time I could not make it to the wet room in time. I had to use the stand-by emergency bin. The wee-wee took so long, I nearly fell back to sleep, stood-up! The sudden spurts in power were a little more abrupt, too. I was amazed at how filled the bin was. I’m so glad I didn’t take any Furosemide earlier!

Cleaned up again, and started the blog once more. Got it finished and posted off. Went on the WordPress Reader section, then, after another marathon wee-wee, I made a start on this blog.

Added some pictures to the Facebook Albums.

Ablutions tackled next. No shower, cause of the early hour. So a stand-up jobbie, like in my young deformative years (Hehe!), but with hot water and not having to heat water up on the stove… and the pleasure of not using a cut-throat razor but Bic disposables. Ah, and no ice forming on windows. And, having electricity supplied. I don’t really miss the old days that much! Hehehe! I left facecloths soaking in washing powder and disinfectant in the sink.

4thu01Had a look at the fluid containers (legs) to see if any new welts, boils, scars or bruises had arrived overnight.

All I could see that had altered was the blue mark on the shin had somehow wholly disappeared? Only to be replaced with a dark blue welt above the left ankle. Oh, and the fluid content difference between the pins!

4thu02Every day something different! Wasn’t that a catchphrase in an old advert on TV?

I departed the wet room, only to realise I had left my alarm wristlet and watch inside, so I returned to collect them.

WD 0.31.0 And found just one very dead EIBWBBB (Evil Ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetle) with its legs seemingly shrunken? He or she was on the sink edge. If anyone can explain to me how, this dead weevil had appeared on the sink, five minutes or so 4thu03aafter I had just put the clothes in to soak and it wasn’t there then… I would appreciate it. Baffled-Mode-Engaged!

The Morrison delivery arrived at 0700hrs. It looked like I’d gone over the top a bit again? Haha!

Readied the nibbles, raffle prizes and pressies. Left the cream cakes and wine in the fridge. Hopefully, I won’t forget to pick them up when I get out.

09:00hrs. Got the things checked and gathered and off to the jolly old Social Hour.

4thu05The fire door at the outer corridor end was wedged open, a door matt at flat 70 was in use, both of which I thought had been banned since Grenfell fire.

A mini obstacle course was manoeuvered around. Dropped some back bags down the waste chute, then down in the lift.

4thu05aDropped the bag of recyclables at the caretaker’s door. I didn’t disturb him, because he was on his mobile phone.

I took a snap of Winwood and Winchester Court.

The hobble along to the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights, Generaloberstesses 4thu06Wardens Temporary HQ. Handily placed WC. Rumourmongering Clinic. Sarcasm & Insult distribution area. Tenants Socialisationalistic Area. Telling Inchcock off Zone. Crockery and pottery to be stolen from location, and residents porta-cabin.

Before entering the shed, I snapped this shot of Winwood Court and Woodthorpe Court.

Not many folks at the Social this morning. But all seemed to enjoy themselves, and a few natters and laughs were enjoyed. I tried to wangle a gossip with Jenny, Nora, Doreen, Cyndy, Gaynor, John, Frank, and others.

4thu06aI decided while in there, to get the laundry done. On the walk back, I saw how close the thirty-foot drop was to the new walkway we have to use until the turning circle for the buses is completed.

Hopefully, none of our alcoholic dipsomaniac residents will use it and topple over in doing so. Hahaha!

4thu07Access to the Woodthorpe Court entrance looked a bit dodgy as I limped in the drizzle along Chestnut Walk.

It must be terrible to getting access for the delivery drivers.

When I got in the foyer, I checked to see if any machines were free, and both were. So I hastened up to the flat and brought down the 4thu08washing and got the short cycle going.

As I went back up, Nora got out of the lift with her washing too. We had a short natter as best as two auditorily challenged people could. The wee-wees had reverted to the SSWW (Short-Sharp-Wee-wee) style.

Up and started to update this blog until it was time to go down and move the togs to the dryer. It was lovely to see, Mo, Gaynor and Big John sat there in the lobby. I got the clobber into the dryer. Much mirth, merriment, chinwagging, reminiscing and laughter flowed between us. Nora came down to move her washing to the dryer. I checked, and my stuff was almost dry enough. We had another laugh and natter between all five of us, as I removed and packed up my washing and cleaned the filter and helped Nora get her things into the dryer. Nora also helped me, when I dropped some socks on the floor, bless her.

4thu09I departed the company I was enjoying and back up to the apartment. Noticing a new poster on the lift foyer wall.

Had an SSWW. Got the oven warming for the meal.

The door chime rang out. It was the workmen who are calling tomorrow to do the pipework fitting and prepping for the Sprinkler System.

4thu25They told me they would move the heavy stuff for me. I thanked them both. And updated this blog to here, and got the nosh cooking proper.

Now the weariness came in floods. I could have worded that better!

I managed to view a complete episode of the ‘A-Team’ before nodding off!

Zzzz!

Inchcock – Thur 17 Jan 2019: Uncontrollabilities caused unconventionalities today. I think!

Thursday 17th January 2019

Norwegian: Torsdag 17. Januar 2019

00:15hrs. I woke with the new big bruise on the leg stinging and aching something rotten. Then my concentration changed, and I pondered over the task of moving the flats stuff around in preparation for the visit from the demolition men to install the pipework for the new sprinkler system. Would I make it to the Social Hour today? Will the bruise and feet allow me to walk okay when I get up? Little Inchy is bleeding, ah, no signs of nocturnal nibbling. Eventually, my wandering brain returned, to the moving the things around problem, so much did it concentrate on this, that I decided to get up straight away and get the computer on to check the Google Calendar for the timings. Despite the Clinomania that hovered in my mind.

I extracted my obeast stomach-supporting body from the £300 second-hand rickety, rusty recliner, without much bother. As soon as I stood up, the new bruise let me know its displeasure. I’m still not convinced this is a bruise. The type of pain it gives are nothing like the ones the multitude of other bruises gives me? But if Dr Vindla says it is, then it must be.

2Tue03 First thing I did was get the computer on, and check the Google Calendar. Oh heck! I found that it is not on this Thursday, but next Thursday that the men are calling to do the pipework! Another Cringe-making! Whoopsie! Sheepish-Shamed-Faced Mode Engaged!

As I got up to respond to the call to the Porcelain Throne, the new bruise gave me more stick and pain than I thought it should be doing. And during the evacuation, I felt Dizzy Dennis trying to issue me some hassle, but only very mildly. I do not need him to kick off again like last night. Else my brain will end up being useless to me. Not that it is all that concentrated or useful as it is. Hehe! Tsk!

I got the Health Checks done next.

4thu001

4thu001aNow I have cut down on the Furesomide; the BP is creeping up. Well, I think it is, I’m not sure what if means when the Sys and Dia both go up?

Still, not complaining. The fear of Dizzy Dennis returning, this dang bruise making walking difficult, and the feet are top of my worry list this morning. Of course, things can change in an instant. Hehehe!

4thu01The wee-wees were thankfully back to an LSWW (Long-Sharp-Wee-Wee) mode this morning. Although the legs were not yet freed of all of the stored fluid. Once again, the spider-veins had mysteriously moved and changed colour and or positions.

The bruise came out looking like a scar on this photo? It doesn’t look anything like so severe to the eye, just the lens of my old Sony camera?

I got with this blog, so I could record things while still fresh in my head.

Then went on to finalise the Wednesday Woes post. Then I made a blog page of Tim Price’s Brilliantly written and composed song titled: “Inchock’s wonderings while he’s wandering through the many streets of Nottingham” This one is with the correct lyrics. I made a mess of the ones I put in my previous blog. Sorry Tim, now you’ve saved the day by giving me the proper wording, I couldn’t wait to get it posted! Cheers, Mate!

2Tue03 I was so pleased with myself in getting it done correctly, at last, I held on to a wee-wee for a while, as I finished it off – Oh dear! Boy am I suffering now! Agony seems the most suitable word! Hehe! Why am I laughing? Still, Dizzy Dennis and Shaking Shaun are leaving me alone.

4thu02I decided to get one of the pots of the porridge I got yesterday for breakfast with a mug of tea.

2Tue03 I’d like to give a tip for anyone making one of these pots for their brekkers. Don’t squeeze the tub too hard when you pour in the boiling water. Tsk! Klutz!

4thu05Went to wash the mug, and my keen powers of observation noticed it had been snowing a tad.

4thu05aSome snowflakes had lingered on top of the vehicles, rooftops, and the grass, but most of it had melted now.

I got the ablution sorted next. A stand-up wash, 4thu03awith it being too early to use the shower for fear of disturbing my neighbours.

2Tue03 These throwaway Bic razors are getting blunted quick lately? Humph!

I ran out of shaving foam and had a search for the spare one. Took me a few minutes to find the new one.

4thu04I took a picture of the pins after cleaning up. They are definitely holding less fluid now. Gone down noticeably. The blue almost circular papsule that had come up on the left leg had gone, leaving signs of it at all?

Also, I didn’t see a single, not one I say! Evil ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetle (EIBWBBB) anywhere!

I’d finished the ablutions with time to spare before the hour for the Morrison Delivery arrived. (0830 > 0930hrs). They may be late with the snow perhaps.

09:30hrs, no Morrison delivery yet? I went through the bag to make sure I had all the prizes, nibble, etc. there.

About 09:50hrs, the landline light lit up. It was the poor old Morrison delivery driver saying he’d be arriving in about ten minutes. Which he did. He’s been stuck on the A453 in traffic, and it took him an hour to travel a mile and a half! There are a lot of roadworks going on in that area. True to his work he arrived when he said he would. I have to say, they couldn’t help the traffic, yet they knocked £5 off of my bill and sent me a free can of light ale in with the order, and a sample of six mini-bottles apple juice; which will be nice for me to take the medications with.

I hastened to get the fodder stored away, put the light ale in the bag for an extra nibble for whoever fancied it at the Winwood meeting. Grubbled about checking things were left safe, and off to what was left of the Social Hour.

4thu24It was colder than I had expected out on Chestnut Walk. Frost on the road and cars still. The sun was fighting its way through, though.

By the time I got into the hut, there was precious little time left for me to socialise much.

My arrival was not one of the best I’ve had. I’d missed the raffle etc. too. I got the nibbles handed out, but no time to natter much, the box went round and came back almost emptied, but I didn’t get the usual opportunity to take it around and have a gossip as I did so. Jenny, Cyndy, Margaret, Doris, Gaynor, May, Doreen, Beryl, Frank, William, BJ, John and others were all deep in their conversations. But they did seem content enough bless them. And a few laughs were heard, which satisfied my complaisant nature. I had a job getting anyone to take the can of light-ale, Frank obliged me in the end.

As some of the clan left, I got a much-needed chance to have a chinwag with one or two of my amazing fellow-residents at last.  Which really made my day, even though it was me who did most of the talking.

4thu25When I got back to the apartment, the weariness dawned, and a pang of hunger took hold of me.

I made some overly-well-buttered sandwiches with the last of the polish bread. Tomatoes and the German smoked ham, with the thick crust having cheddar and a few drops of Hoisin sauce on it. Some salad, egg, apple sliced, too. A Limoncello dessert to end with. I must resist this in future!

An A-team episode was on the TV. After watching this, I was determined to make a start on the spare room sorting.

But I fell asleep instead: and didn’t wake up for hours and hours. Tsk!
