GM brown L03:00hrs: I woke, and immediately started trying to solve the issues of the lost end of yesterday. I got nowhere, and am still none the wiser as to any actions for about a four hour period of Thursday evening. I spent a good while attempting to glean some memory, but no! The toothache began to come on, then.

Abruptly, the need for a wee-wee arrived. I fumbled my way out of the £300, second-hand, c1968, not-working (Broken by xyrophobia-suffering Brother-in-Law Pete), recliner. Caught my balance, got the stick, and over to the empty, unused overnight GPEWWB (Grey-Plastic-Emergency-Wee-Wee-Bucket). Thus, I was caught out by the violent nature of the TTSLTATO (Torrential-Throughout-Stopped-Like-Turning -A-Tap-Off) mode wee-wee!

wd 0.0.30 As I made my way to the kitchen, the demand for the Porcelain Throne came, so I diverted to the wet room. A contrary session compared to the last few; Not much input needed from me, very swiftly evacuated, no overly putrid pongs, far less painful, but messy in the extreme. A lot of the preciously-short supply of toilet paper had to be used. Much cleaning and medicating and the PPs changed. Oh, and the bleeding from Little Inchies fungal lesion and Harolds Haemorrhoids was minuscule.

Back to the kitchen. My waking up so late, the view was lighter than normal, so I took a shot of the lights straight ahead. Then, I stupidly thought I’d get the step ladders and take a shot of Chestnut Walk down below. Not easy of course, with the new, unwanted, unliked, thick-framed, light and view-blocking windows that let the rain in! It looked like a tenant, who had vacated the free parking space next to the white car, might have an oil leak?

5Fri05

5Fri007cwd 0.0.30A But, foolishly I thought if I take care, it should be safe enough. (Klutz!) I got the steps from the balcony without any bother, set them in position. And climbed up just two of the runs, and took the second picture on the way down. (Talk about bad timing!) Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters failed, and an unintended no-control-over right-leg Neuropathic Schuhplattler Dance routine from the right leg for a few seconds only was enough to have me over on my back on the floor! Frumpworthy Grobblecurses! Still, it could have been worse. The tumble and landing were not too bad, but the getting back up again was painful and farcical. Good job I had the four-Pronger-stick with me at the time. Hey-ho!

I took the step ladders back and returned to imbibe the medications, oil the ear-holes, pain-gel the leg, spray the saccades stuff on the eyes, and make a brew of Morrison’s Extra Strong Black Assam tea. To the computer.

I started on CorelDraw, with making up some mini-graphics for the greeting pictures for the blog. Then I had to make up a template for today’s post. Then I got the updating done for the Thursday post, which proved easier and quicker than usual. This was helped by my not remembering much and probably missing off much of what happened in the evening. This is not unusual; it’s happening more often nowadays. I did mention it some months ago to the doctor, who wasn’t concerned, and I think DR Vindla had anticipated me starting to go a tad senile. Tsk!

I got the post completed anyway. Emailed some links to it. Then put a couple of graphics on Pinterest. All this in-between so frequent wee-wees, all of a variable mode, from dribble-drip to hose-pipe like ones? Then went on the WordPress Reader. Finally, a blast at the TFZer Facebooking.

5Fri01wd 0.0.30 I had a go at trying to find a food delivery shop with slots free. It would have been easier for me to appear as Prima Ballerina in Swan Lake! No chance! It’s getting harder, not more comfortable to get food!

I am a little concerned about the future.

5Fri06It was getting light already. I went to make another brew, of Thompsons Punjana. And I decided to get some mushrooms sliced and into the slow cooker for later in the day. I used the last of the light soy sauce, and balsamic vinegar to flavour the fungi. I might use the tin of minced beef with it, or I have one of the cook-in-the-bag braised beef I could use. Then again, I have a can of chilli baked beans and potato wedges in the cupboard… Mmm? My shilly-shallying, indecisiveness, and mental-stammering, really wee’s me off! Oh, I don’t know!

I made the tea, and returned to this blog, and made a start on it. I was doing well, until Saccades-Sandra kicked off, making eye-focussing a problem. And this slowed everything down again. The ever-having-to-correct-things mode had to be engaged! Frogglemoths!

5Fri11I took a break and went to make yet another brew, this time Glengettie. But I’m glad I did at that time. For outside, down on the bottom field, I saw a human being! Yes! Hehehe!

One man and his dog. I can’t say I’ve ever seen them before. Then again, under normal circumstance (Yes, I can remember them, just!), I would have been in the wet room at this time, doing my ablutions.

Amazing how watching this chap, probably the poor chap has been laid off from work, and his dog, playing fetch. The dog was a bundle of energy, just watching him tired me out. Hehe!

I got a feeling elation just watching the only two tellurians in my sight, so contended and happy!

The full of fun pooch will not be bothered by the Coronavirus! Bless him or her!

5Fri12I tried to get an Iceland delivery slot again. Fool!

Pressed on with CorelDrawing to do some graphics, but it’s a slow, frustrating job.

Then, things got complicated. Well, somewhat confusing for this old-timer. Things started to become busy suddenly. A business that required decisions and my memory to be used! Asking a lot this was. Hehehe! Tsk!5Fri13

wd 0.0.30 Jenny called, asking if I wanted some whole milk from her freezer. I could put it in the fridge to thaw out for later. I thanked her. And told her I’d leave the caramel wafers in a bag for her. I hastened to find them, but could not! Dummkopf! I knew I’d put them in a bag ready, but where, I have yet to discover! I found the other things I’d saved, but not the caramel wafers? I put them on the door-knob.

wd 0.0.30 I put the milk in the fridge door and the four letters I’d found on the floor, to the main room.

  • 5Fri16One letter was about the apartment’s rent.
  • Another about how the Nottingham City Homes are responding to the Coronavirus outbreak.
  • The third was an NCH one about the City Rates, with a Nottingham Arrow newsletter. I must find time to give it a perusal.
  • The last one was heartwarming, indeed! It was from someone signing it, “From ‘A Resident'”, and no name indicated. How amazing and kind some people are. A big thank you to whoever it was that donated these for me!

5Fri14

They will be super to counter the toothache! I took one straight-away! Cheers, and appreciation to my unknown benefactor!

I got back to CorelDrawing, but again, I did not get far, the landline chirped and flashed into life.

wd 0.0.30 It was Oberstgrüppenfhureress Desk-top dancer Warden Deana. She asked how things were and, had I any problems. I could have mentioned my Amnestic Syndrome Sinbad, Harolds Haemorrhoids, Anne Gyna, Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters dying, Duodenal Donald, Toothache Thomas. (Stopped for a breather) Reflux Roger, Clopidogrel, Lethologica, Peripheral Neuropathy Pete, Thrombophlebitis Barry, Dysaesthnervesia Dai, Axonotmesis Axle, Konrad Confusion. (Stopped for a breather again) Dizzy Dennis, Shaking Shaun, Saccades Sandra, CDP, Deafness Derek, Flatulent Frank, Trotsky Terence, or the Neuropathic Schuhplattler dancing right leg, but I didn’t. Hehehe!

wd 0.0.30 I expressed my concerns over the prescriptions and would they be delivered. Deana said she would ring them and call back. She inquired about shopping help, and put me on ‘The Golden List’ Bless her for the assistance!

wd 0.0.30 I got back on CorelDraw. The shaking had stopped, but the weariness was dawning. A few minutes late, Deana rang again. The Golden Helpers will get in touch with me. I’d remembered the problems with not being able to get any cash, and mentioned it to Deana. Saying without the help I’d had from Jenny, I would be in a right pickle! She told me to tell the Golden people when they call. She would mention this to the volunteers, who might have a swipe machine, next time she speaks with them, what if anyone has no cash? I thanked her.

wd 0.0.30 Back to the Coreldrawing, yet again. The ♫ I only want to be with you ♫ tune rang out. I got to the door, and it was someone delivering part of the wax-removal kit I’d ordered some time in the distant past! No use, of course, the inserts without a rod to attached to use them. Humph! Still, at least I’m halfway there now, Haha! The problem with this Coronavirus ain’t going away!

I made a brew, during which it dawned on me (Things have been known to in the past, you know!) I’ve got to keep alert in case any helpers ring. So I can’t go in the shower in case I cannot hear the telephone, mobile or intercom ring. They may be phoning anytime from in two hours, up to tomorrow night, I think Deana said. This has kyboshed my plans for getting the ablutions done! I’m smelly, need a shave and medications doing? But if I do, I risk missing the shopping helpers, the Haemostasis, and DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis) Warfarin Anticoagulation Clinic at the Nottingham City Hospital, (Gawd I love that title!), or any possible answer from the Dentist.

Life has become such a struggle. Harrumph!

I’ll try to get a wash and shave in the kitchen, now. Means moving everything into there first, and must taketh care over dizzies, shakes and dropsies. Oh, dear, here goes!

I decided to use the wet room after all, and I kept the door wide open. Which I thought was a great idea so I could see any flashing and have a chance of hearing any ringing. Put the shirt and socks to soak in the washing up bowl, and off to the wet room.

wd 0.0.30 Unfortunately, leaving the wet room door wide open was also perfect for walking into! Grumph! Ah, well, at least I didn’t have the spectacles on to break this time. Looking in the bright side here!

No socks put on, so I avoided the sock-glide battle! Noi bleeding from Little I~nchies fungal lesion! And, Harold’s Haemorrhoids, only bled a smidge. The dropsies we about average, the five drops of the razors was a little 5Fri019ahigher than usual, though.

I didn’t really feel refreshed or properly clean, with not using the shower. But betterer in myself anyway. And the pins (legs) were looking a lot better, as well.

5Fri019I got the washing in the sink done, wrung and hung. Got the veg and potatoes into a normal saucepan, tasted it, and added a little more light soy sauce, it was a bit bland.

I added some things to the shopping list for the kind volunteers when they arrive, well, call me.

I really was tired now. But dare not let myself fall asleep, just in case the people ring up about the shopping and means of payment.

5Fri30I got the meal served up and turned on the TV, anything with subtitles, so I don’t need the headphones on and fail to hear the door-chimes, intercom or telephone.

I added a can of potatoes to the saucepan, heated in with the other stuff, and got the feast eaten. A 7/10 for flavour and taste. I had three wholemeal bread thins with it, leaving me three for tomorrows nosh. The cupboard with the canned goods stock, had never looked so bare in all the years I’ve been here. But, the has been overstocked for months. I wonder if my EQ was telling me to stock up? Haha!

5Fri31

I got the pots washed, and checked plugs, stove etc. and settled in the hopes of getting some rest and sleep in. Then remembered, I needed to stay awake, in case the Golden volunteer people or dentist calls me.  Flanglemanglingly-Frenetically-Frustrating! As I got down on the recliner and turned the TV on, a late sun came out! I’d not closed the curtains either, so that helped prevent me from nodding off to start with. I decided to get up and close the blinds.

wd 0.0.30A The curtain hooks, several of them, dropped from the top rail. I left them for attention in the morning. I was not up to tackling the step ladder at that moment.

5Fri32I found that Law & Order was showing back to back episodes with sub-titles, so had a look at them. I say them, I nodded off for a few minutes so often, I just couldn’t follow the storyline. Grumpworthiness! I found an Interscepter programme and turned to it, that was subtitled as well.

5Fri33wd 0.0.30 But the nod-offs were winning the ‘Stay-Awake’ battle.

I woke often but was soon back in the land of nod for another few minutes bliss. I’ve no idea if I missed any callers on the landline, mobile, on the intercom, or at the door.

Again, sweet Morpheous resisted for a long time.

I think?

WD 0.0.0 (1) 00:10hrs: Woke, throne needed, struggled out of the recliner to the wet room. Things went a little easier today, but still messy. Little bleeding. No toe stubbing. But I managed to give the humerus and ulnar nerves a clouting on the corner of the door frame, as I came out of the door. When I temporarily lost control of the walking stick. It was the least I could do. After all, the ailments were being so kind to me this morning! Hehehe!

I was in an anxious mood when I got to the kitchen. I usually am when I get up to find the ailments in a calm mode with me. I know it can’t last, and if they do carry on being placid for a while, there is always an Accifauxpa, calamity or disaster to fill the vacuum. Every time! Hence, my nervosity, jitteriness and disquiet. I’m not being quixotic.

1Mon04I got the kettle on, then decided to get the vegetables prepared, to marinate in the seasoning in the crockpot. I tried to recall the seasoning I used last week. Beef stock, hickory, and Sharwoods black bean sauce. I’ve not many tins of garden peas left now, so I’ll miss them off this time. No mushrooms to use either. Dangwangles!

Parsnips, turnips, onion, carrots and leeks were cut up and added to the sauces and left in the slow-cooker pot to soak in the flavouring for a few hours. I mustn’t forget to turn it on later!

Then the second-summoning to the Throne arrived. No messing about, the rumbling and grumbling from the innard soon turned to involuntary movement taking place!

1Mon04aWD 0.0.0 (1) I got to the toilet with seconds to spare! The intestines were in control of all activity, I played no part at all, well, other than a little pushing to get the last of the product out! Messy again. More bleeding from Harold’s Haemorrhoids too. However, Little Inchies fungal lesion was not bleeding!

A good wash up again, me and the wet room. Antisepticated contact points. Back to the kitchen, I limped, with the bum a bit sorer. Haha!

Took the medications, made a brew of Thompsons Punjana tea, and onto the computer. Got the updating of the Sunday post done, in about three hours. (Smarmy-Mode-Utilised!)

WD 0.0.0 (1) I went on Pinterest and doing this, Saccades-Sandra kicked off. I was almost glad she did. As long as the ailments are satisfied with just the one having a go at me, so am I! But soon got irked, as the eyes were making things difficult for me. I moved onto the TFZer Facebooking. But seeing, reading words was a bind, with Sandra on my case.

I coped better with the WordPress Reading, more prominent lettering on there. Then started this blog off, but didn’t get far… A third summoning to the Porcelain Throne unexpectedly and urgently arrived again!

WDP 03f

1Mon05

The pins looked better, though!

WD 0.0.0 (1) Again, it was a close call, but somehow or other I got there in time! Well, at least it was a different style evacuation this time. Down, Sphplurt!, Done! Worra change! Auto-mode throughout! Over in seconds! No real pain from the movement itself, at all! This pleased me at first. But, the blood flowed with a vengeance! I hope, from Harold’s Haemorrhoids. When I applied the cream, I had a job not to cried out loud!

WDP 11gRWD 0.0.0 (1) The PPs had to be changed, the rear-end was stinging worse than ever, something awful, and topping it all up, I banged my right elbow against the door edge – Again! I thought about how am I going to get any new supplies of some, any sort of Haemorrhoid cream with the lockdown and isolationing? This was not a good thought! No wonder I’m finding myself to be nigglier, cantankerous, grouchy and prone to gnashing the few teeth I have left, more often, than usual. Tsk!

Back to the computer. A different person. I was getting all het-up again.

But, graphics and templates needed making. But another mug of tea first, and some brekkie methinks. Ah, a Pot Noodle will do, and a few minutes relaxing watching some YouTube while I eat it! Idleness and lack of commitment intruding here methinks?

The pot noodle went down well enough, but the stomach churned a bit afterwards? O pt some Hoisin sauce in with the noodles.

WD 0.0.0 (1) An hour or so into graphicalisationing, I proceeded in an Easterly direction, for yet another Throne visitation! Almost a replica of the last one, but less content. Change of PPs again (Good job I’ve got plenty in hand!), and the bleeding was easier to stop this time. Things are looking up! (Of course, this didn’t last long!) Cleaned again, and back to CorelDrawing.

Another hour passed, and I went to check on the stew, and get the cook in the bag meat on the cook. There is not very much meat in the bag again, but plenty of gravy. I went to make a brew and moved the saucepan so I could get to the kettle easier…

IMG_3761WD 0.0.0 (1a) I caught mt thumb on the bottom of the hot saucepan. Hard to believe that I could do something like that, I know. Hehehe! I put some vaseline on it, and it bubbled!

Back to the graphics.

Jenny phoned, if she can get an order into Sainsbury’s, I should send a list of anything I need on Email. How kind and helpful she is to me! ♥ I made a list and sent it.

Later, I thought I might have been a bit cheeky, in putting so many items on the list. I guiltily sent another Email, apologising. The thought of eating the black tomatoes again, got my taste buds flowing. But, of course, the chances are minimal, with the caring, social hoarders out shopping every day, still. Thanks to Jenny again!

A catalogue came through the door for OAPs to order none foods from. Walkers it was.

The phone rang, I didn’t have the hearing aids in, but realised it was the district phlebotomy nurse, telling me she would be calling in the morning, between 09:00 > 11:00hrs. Aha, a blood test at last! Hope I don’t croak-out overnight and miss it.

Back to the graphicalisationing, and the door chime went. It was Josie returning her meal things. She said she really enjoyed it! That cheered me up somewhat.

CorelDrawing again. Went to check on the overcooked meat and veg.

WD 0.0.0 (1) Back on the computer, and all of these ailments kicked off almost together: Shaking-Shoulder-Shirley, Duodenal Donald and Anne Gyna.

I gave up on computing and got the dinner prepared. Not that I felt hungry any more, Anne and Donald were making sure of that. Worra life!

Email back from Jenny. She is caring and full of compassionateness!

WD 0.0.0 (1) Got to the kitchen and prepared the meal, making something of a mess of it! Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters, which had been better all day, than they have been for months, started affecting all of the right-side of the body. Usually its either the fingers and hands or right leg. Else the arm and shoulder, but this time the lot got a bashing! That’s a first!  Thus, the dropsies were frequent, and I ended up with the green dish broken, and a series of cleaning ups that seemed unending! I persevered and got the stew served up.

1Mon23By which time the appetite had returned, at the smell and sight of the bowlful of stew I’d cooked! The so-called braised beef in onion gravy just may have weighed 3-4 ounces at most! But, this did not fuss me too much, all the more onion gravy in the bag! Along with my (for once) successfully seasoned and cooked vegetables, they created a meal I gave an overall flavour rating of 9/10, too!

I used some of the bread thins that Jenny had got for me, (She got the beef in gravy as well) to wipe the well-emptied dish! The stomach was contented, the problems of the day disappeared as I limped to the kitchen to wash the pots! Ahh!

WD 0.0.0 (1) I spotted the state of my shirt and jammie-bottoms. The meat, being so minuscule, it left more room for the onion gravy. Most of it appeared to be stuck on my t-shirt, pyjamas or cheeks and chin! Hahaha! Nicodemus and Shaking Shoulder-Shirley were the guilty parties in causing this mess, though!

WD 0.0.0 (1) I washed and cleaned up the gravy and onion splattered body, put the shirt and jammie-bottoms in to soak. (This was another Fauxpas; although I didn’t realise until the morning when I found the clothes in the bucket with washing liquid and no water in it!) Sad, isn’t it?

WDP 11fLWhen I did finally get settled to watch some TV, Law & Order episodes, (they usually send me to sleep at the first set of commercials), I got the feeling that the phone or mobile would go off and wake me.

They didn’t, and I lost sleep again, by waiting for them to ring! Hahaha!

GM Neut02aWD 180.50.0 02:30hrs: I stirred into mock-life, and realised that just about everything attached to my wobbly-overweight stomach, was shaking to varying degrees. Shoulder-Shaking-Shirley was so bad, she was hitting my elbow on the recliner arm! Shaking Shaun had taken a fancy to the head and neck this morning. Worst perhaps, was Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters failures were making it so difficult to sense anything hard, and getting up to respond to the urgent call to the Porcelain Throne was not easy! (The bonus, was, that there was no Neuropathic Schuhplattler dancing from the right leg)

I imagine that had a video been taken of my perilous hastened-hobble to the wet room, it would have gone viral! Hehehe!

WD 180.50.0A After much faffling-about, I got on my feet, caught my balance, grabbed at the four-pronged walking stick, dropped it, bent down to pick it up and ‘Klunk’ down on my knees I went! Bearing in mind, the imperativeness of my getting to the Throne in time was increasing! Humph! I actually appreciated having the shakes from Nicodemus at the time, because there was hardly any pain at all when Arthur Itis’s patelas hit the floor! That usually come later, when the transmitter nerves start working again. Unnerving getting pains and you can’t see or remember why!

I got in the room, whipped open the dressing gown and down with the PP’s. To my surprise, I had to use a little effort to get the movement started. Things were not so messy this time, and the bleeding from the rear end, a lot less. The recently acquired pungent-pong was still with me, though.

By the time I’d cleaned up and medicated, I realised the shaking had almost gone. Apart from Shoulder-Shaking-Shirley, that is. I think she might have been having a go at me in my sleep, cause the joint and scapula were a little sore.

This got me wondering if the Phlebotomy nurse will manage to get here next week to take the Warfarin blood sample. It’s been three or four weeks since it’s been done now. But, with the loathsome Corona Virus pandemic, I’m not holding out much hope.

I got the camera out to photo the legs condition. Why I’m still doing this with no nurses coming to take them, I don’t know.

6Sat01WD 180.50.0 Anyroad, I spotted a sort of rounded-rectangle impressed on my chest, twixt my man-breasts and my portly pot-belly. I was a tad puzzled as to what could have caused this? I took this snap on the right of it, before taking the pins (legs) photograph.

The image-shape positioned just where mechanical ticker lies underneath. But obviously, the marking was made on the skin, outside. I later searched around for anything this shape in the front room where the recliner is, but I found nothing to match it. Unfathomable, but intriguing all the same.

6Sat04The veins in the pins had started to protrude again. The varicose were not too bad, mind. The spider and superficial phlebitis were showing off somewhat. Where I fell on the knees was just starting to sting as I took this picture! Haha!

6Sat03While in there, I did the teggies and had a shave. And very pleased with how it went, considering that Shirley didn’t ever stop shaking, although she kept altering the rate of power. And I only had two tiny cuts after the session! Smug Mode Adopted!

6Sat02To the kitchen, and put some bits in a carrier, to give to Jenny when she comes. As a thank you for helping me out again.

I got the kettle on, then took a snap of the early morning view. Imbibed the medications and made the brew of Glengettie Gold tea.

I got the computer on and did some much-needed page top graphics. Which cost me a couple of hours, Tsk! Then did the Friday diary updating and got it posted off. Pinterest photos sent off. TFZer Facebooking (Three hours). Made a start on this post, and went on the WordPress Reader section.

During which, the innards started to give me some gip. And quickly got worse, more acute. So, I nipped limpingly to the Porcelain Throne, just in case things were brewing up inside for an evacuation. Oh, off I ran, stick in hand, hoping to arrive in time, to the wet room!

Phwoar! Just in time! The evacuation was quicker and less painful than any has been over the last week! But, there was so much of it! I had to manually assist the system in accepting it, and move it on to the sewers below! Shaking Shirley and Shaun helped me in spilling a lot of the water I was taking in the tub from the sink to WC, and that had to be wiped up afterwards. Washed and medicated the rear-end, and returned to the computer to get on with the Thoughts graphic creating.

Lost a opt of work and don’t know why! I’ll try to remember bits.

Jenny rang she’s coming with the Iceland bits for me, I put her treat bag on the door handle outside. She left the good and rang the tune-bells. Fetched them in. No tomatoes and Golden delicious substituted, at first I thought they might have been Jenny’s order, she told me they were on special offer. Nae fuss, I can eat them alright.

I spent hours doing graphics.

WD 180.50.0 Porcelain Throne visited. Running short on actual cash now, with not being able to order food on site. Morrisons and Iceland both checked, and neither having any delivery slots available.

6Sat24I dug out some chips from the bottom of the freezer. Got a pate and a few tomatoes left to have with them.

Got the nosh sorted. Last of the Piccolo tomatoes, oh, no it’s not. I just found a few more in the cupboard. Some Truffle fries, somewhat ageing beetroots, mushroom pate, onions, Marmite out of date but still tasty cheese medallion, one of the apples that Jenny got for me from her Iceland order, the last fresh orange drink, and a lemon mousse. I used up the last of the Jenny-donated bread with them, and enjoyed an evening feast! Thanks again to Jenny! 7/10 Flavour rating.

I got the washing up done, resisted the ‘none-urge’ to do some handwashing, (HaHa!) and got down in the £300, second-hand, on-its-last-legs, c1968 recliner. Put a Last of the Summer Wine DVD on, and wallowed in nostalgia.

6Sat28The landline flashed, it was the Chemist, telling me the prescriptions would be at the door in a few minutes. I waited five or six minutes, not wanting to make social-contact with the lady, and carefully opened the door, making sure she had gone first and collected the pack from where she had left it for me.

Back to the DVD, and watched another episode of the ‘Summer Wine’. It’s got something this programme, it always did have. A gentleness, no bad language, so relaxing to view, and memory provoking.

As I went for the last Porcelain visit of the day, it dawned on me how the ailments had eased off. Not all of them, of course. Dizzy Dennis, Shoulder-Shaking-Shirley and now, Duodenal Donald all helped to stop me getting to sleep very soon.

When I did nod-off, a storm of dreams made sure that recuperation and rest, were not there for the fuddled, fermenting brain. Shame!

WD 130.0.0 02:40hrs: I gave up trying to get to sleep. The eyes were heavy, GM01 Brownthe spirits sagging, and borborygmus grumbled within! A rare of late wee-wee was developing, so I fought my clinomania and gingerly extracted my cyclopean-sized-belly and body from the £300, second-hand, c1968 none-working recliner. Manipulating the folds of stomach flesh, was not easy!

As I grappled for the stick, which had fallen over, the sound of the damn & blasted ‘Hum’ was as loud as it has ever been. I actually thought something else might be the cause of this horrendous unceasing, droning wind-like noise, but on checking later, nowt was found. Still feeling so tired and drained did not help my irritability stakes at all. Sleep, sweet Morpheous, where art thou? Or summat like that. Hehe!

WD 130.0.0 I got to the GPWWB (Grey-Plastic-Wee-Wee-Bucket), I was benumbed to see it had not been used overnight. Then again, I think I spent the most significant part of my nocturnal time, awake! Cholericalisations! The wee-wee was of the TBKIWAWBC (The-Bladder-Know-It-Wants-A-Wee-But-Can’t!) variety. A few painful drips, a long time waiting and hoping for more to flow, then I gave up, and went to wash the hands and the barely damp bucket. Hehehe!

As I was putting the kettle on, the grumbling innards doubled their efforts, and I returned post-haste to the wet room.

WD 130.0.0 I got on the Porcelain Throne, and things moved of their own accord, but so painfully. Then, it got a little awkward. Part-way through the motion, the evacuation got in a jam! Half in, half-out, stinging like hell, and refusing to budge! I reached for the crossword book. Partly in an effort to distract myself from the antagonisticalisationing, and the trickling started from Little Inchy. It was if the innards had come to some peace treaty together, the wee-weeing was allowed to go ahead, although in a long-drawn-out marathon, then the heavy stuff started actioning again. Argh!

Yet afterwards, there were no signs of any bleeding and no mess? Just blessed relief that it was over! As I was cleaning up, the left chest pains started again, like yesterday?

WD 130.0.0 Back to the kitchen, took the medications, made the brew and returned to the front room and got the computer going. Arthur Itis and Duodenal Donald both being kind to me. I can’t tell about Anne Gyna, cause this aching, dull pain in the chest, is similar but the same as her usual stabbing pains. So, I don’t know what it is. But I do know I’ve been through more pain this morning, from various ailments and bodily functions, than since the heart op! Hogwashalisations! Ah, well, that’s my self-pity, and the choplogic moments over with. Haha!

I got on with updating yesterday’s Friday diary. It took me a considerable amount of time, with so many photographicalisations to go on it. But I got it all finished, in between many pathetic sprinkling wee-wees. I put some stuff on Pinterest.

A niggly dry cough came and went as it pleased.

6Sat01WD 130.0.0 Then when adding to the Facebook photo albums, and enjoying doing it, about half-way through, I got this message come up on the screen, as the screen froze. A bit piss-offing that was! I turned off Facebook and back on again. Same message when I tried to add photos again.

6Sat01WD 130.0.0 So, I gave up on it and made a start on this Saturday post. A couple of hours later, I tried again. Nope, the same, I can’t put any more photographs on! Gragnipples!

I went on the WordPress Reader.

Then, on to CorelDraw to make up some more graphicalisations. Slow work.

I realised I had ordered the Morrison delivery for the wrong Tuesday, the 24th! They were showing toilet rolls as available, but they were not on the email list of goods ordered! Shitski! Appropriate exclamation there. Haha! So, out of desperation, I did an order for this week from Iceland, but for this coming Tuesday. They were also showing toilet rolls as available, but they were not n their email list either! Unscrupulous Herberts!

6Sat02I then got the vegetables, well, the chestnut mushrooms prepped and in the crock-pot.

Then, got some parsnips, onions, and tomatoes and added them to the pot. I made up gravy, with vegetable stock cube mixed in, and put the that in the slow-cooker alongside the veg.

6Sat03I hope it comes out alright, then I can use them with the braised beef, and make an imitation stew. I took these shots while doing it.

Then to the computer, and added them to this blog. Back to the graphicationalisationing next, it’s takin me ages to get them done. Tsk!

6Sat04Tried Facebook again. Grrr!

Pee’d off now!

Pressed on with CorelDrawing for a while, but my mood is not good and concentration very poor! I got just three done, and they were a lot for me in my present, erm… oblique state of mind.

I kept going into the kitchen, got the pan of water on for the boil-in-the-bag beef. Panicked a bit when I didn’t check it for a while, hobbled hastily to the stove, convinced I’d find a right mess all over the cooker.

WD 130.0.0 Anxiety over! Huh! I’d not turned the power on!

The vegetables are getting overcooked now, and it will be about forty-minutes before the meat is cooked. Oh, I am a Klutz!

I got the nosh sorted out. I’m going to eat it from the big cheesy potato mixing basin, cause I don’t want to spill all over me and the recliner. Like I did last w6Sat28eekend. Oofta!

The beef in the bag was so small, but the extra gravy in it might have made up the legal weight. But it was lip-smackingly tasty!

The veg came out as good as I could have hoped for, too.

The irritating dry cough paid me an evening visit, which took the edge off of enjoying the meal. But at least I didn’t spill any! Flavour Rating 7/10.

At last, I got some sleep in. So much for watching the ‘New Tricks’ DVD. Hehehe!

GM09LWD 100.20.0 01:05hrs: I stirred into imitation life, and as soon as I tried to move from the rickety recliner, Dizzy Dennis was there ready to pounce, and he sure did! Thankfully, Arthur Itis, Anne Gyna, Duodenal Donald, etc. were all calm.

The struggle to get up and grab the stick on its own, nearly me toppling over!

Fantastically, by the time I got to the GPWWB (Grey-Plastic-Wee-Wee-Bucket) and the few spots of wee that had to be forced out, started; Dizzy had done a runner? (But he kept returning, for a few minutes at a time, then things got back to normal, repeatedly all morning long!) For some reason, the pins felt terribly stiff all over?

WDP 20194Off to wash the bucket and have a quick wash. The need for the Porcelain Throne arrived, fortuitously, while I was in the wet room, a foot away from the bowl! One of the most comfortable sessions I’ve had for a long time, weeks possibly. The pain, as usual, was there, but not so acute. The evacuation was quicker and the mess minimal. I was pretty chuffed at that!

3Wed01I dropped the jammie-bottoms and had a look at the pins (legs)Good heavens! They looked odder in size to each other, but both were carrying a lot of fluid retention—time for the Furesomide tablet to be taken for a few mornings methinks.

3Wed05To the kitchen, got the kettle on, took a photographicalisation of the morning view, took the medications (with a Furesomide), then dosed the ear-holes with olive oil, and made the super-flavoursome Glenghettie tea.

3Wed06An email from Iceland, telling me there had been changes made to my order. Humph! To the computer, and checked on the Iceland delivery email. As I anticipated, the ‘unavailable’ list was all toilet rolls and kitchen towels! Still, they were kind enough not to charge me for them. Hehehe!

WD 100.20.0 I had a visit from Shaking-Shoulder-Shirley and Dizzy Dennis, they spent a while keeping me company.

3Wed12 (2)I got on with making some needed to continue blogging graphics, first. Then to the job of updating the Tuesday post diary. Which was very time-consuming. But I eventually got it finished. All done and posted off.

3Wed08I then opened the Amazon box. Everything was there, the ear-blower ball, dropper bottles and the ear-wax remover tool. Soon as I get the time, I’ll try the de-waxer out. All three were made in China. No Coronavirus germs in with them, I hope?

Back on the computerisationing. I put some snaps on Pinterest. Then answered some comments on WordPress. Next, a long time spent on TFZer Facebooking. I really could not ask for more pleasant cyber-company, I love ’em all. ♥

A big bash on the WordPress Reader section. With being so busy lately, I’d got behind with it. All caught up now, glad I didn’t some of them they were great photo’s.

3Wed03WDP 20194Time to get the ablutions done! And a good session this was too!

No bangs or knocks disrobing. The dropsies were less than they’ve been for ages, just the shaving foam, razor (2), shower gel bottle and I did drop the spectacles when putting them back on after the shower.

As for the Sock-Glide, well, I had a little talk with it before tackling getting the hosiery on. I know, I’m bonkers! But it seemed to work miracles. No bruises, trapped or cut fingers, dropping it, knocking it off of the shower chair, no falling-off of 3Wed13the seat either! Brilliant!

I got the handwashing sorted out post-haste, done wrung and hung.No proper Whoppsiedangleploppings, but I made a right mess doing it.

3Wed10aDid the ears with the new remover tool. Doing the right ear-hole, relied on Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters not playing up, first signs of this, and I’ll stop and try again later. It’s not worth making the hearing any worse. A fiddly, painstaking task, but I coped pretty well with it today.

Anyroad, today they were not too frequent, so I got the tips assembled with a few dropsies suffered. I have to say, they were good at getting a grip on the ear wax. Of which much was removed from each tab-hole. Cleaning the tips was a hard job, trying not to break them at the same time. I put some more olive oil in both external auditory meatus (I looked that up, hehe!) I’ll try to do the de-icing every week methinks. (De-Icing? I meant de-waxing, Tsk!) Returned to the computer, with a fresh mug of Thompson tea, of course.

3Wed33On the CorelDrawing for mere seconds, and the doorbell chimed out its ♫I only want to be with you♫ tune. It was the Iceland delivery man with only a few bags for me. (Someone had admitted him in through the foyer door) He dropped them in the hallway, I thanked him, and off he shot. As anticipated, the paper towels and toilet rolls were missing, out-of-stock!

3Wed34WD 100.20.0 I got the bits stored away. You may note the Skinny Whip box? I thought they should be alright, as they are small in size, and only 99 calories each. I thought when I ordered them, they were ice cream bars. And I put them in the freezer. Later I found they were not. Tsk! The Special price, 50p Willow, the beef and half of the onions I put in a bag for the social kitchens.

I assembled some black bags to go to the chute and put them near the door to take with me as I left. A carrier with the nibbles, and Beef joint for the kitchen in another. Then the faffling about double-checking lights, taps etc. was completed, the trolley and jacket checked to see that everything needed was in them. Finally, I got out. The workmen, well it was workwomen this morning working in the hallway, took the bags off of me and took them to the chute. Then cleared a way through for me and the trolley. Bless ’em!

Down to ILC’s (Independent Living Coordinators) Obergruppenführeresses Wardens, Holding Cell Office. I passed Warden Deana en route. Then dropped off the nibbles. Into the Social Lounge area and handed the beef and bits over for the kitchen. Then to the Winchester Court lobby to await the bus.

3Wed14aThe trip to town was a battle-ridden to stay in the side-saddle seat job. But I managed to have a go at the crosswording all the same. The bus was diverted today, this did not please the driver.

Arriving in town and alighting on Parliament Street. I noticed that the vandalised fencing had survived the nights Nottinghamian Drunks attentions this time… But maybe it had been re-erected earlier? Hehe!

3Wed15Into the Poundland Store, in search of kitchen towels and/or toilet rolls. There were many empty shelves around the store. Panic-buying I imagine being the cause?

I got a 40litre roll of black bags, Washing freshener granules, a bag of Cox’s apples, and to my surprise, a pack of two Andrex toilet rolls with foreign printing on it. They were really tiny, thin rolls, that were so light, I dropped the pack when I grabbed it? But at least I now have some bog roll to use when the one at home runs out. But I can’t see theses I bought lasting for long. I also got a roll of their thin small kitchen rolls, these might come in handy as a toilet-roll-substitute? Needs must! When I got to the self-serve-tills, a lady appeared and put the things through for me without any prompting. Kind actions like this cheer me up, renew my faith in mankind!

I departed and took a walk to the Bargain Store, in what turned out vain hopes of getting some potato biscuits. Taking these photos on my way.

3Wed35I did get some more of the Turkish-made and printed Woolite liquid though. And they were all low measure. But, at £1.99 from £2,99 seem fair value. I genuinely believe this ‘Black’ one does work well, and bring back the colours of dark clothing. A few more tins of the garden peas and a kitchen roll (No toilet rolls available).

Then an amble through Trinity Square, down onto Parliament Street again, and down King Street into the Slab Square, and back up Queen Street to the bus stop.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

WD 100.20.0 There were fifteen-minutes before the bus was due, so I hobbled up to Parliament Street, to take some photographs while I waited. As yoy will see below, many ‘Failed Shots’ of Nottinghamian Pavement Cyclist were made, but I did get a few. Humph!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

I moved down to the L9 bus stop, and it arrived in a couple of minutes. This driver told me that when the diversion was put in place, no one from the bus company told him!

3Wed27Alighted back at the flats, and walked to the Winwood Court entrance, turning back to take this picture. It caught the bus I’d arrive on leaving, and the City Bound one arriving. The best thing about this shot, for me, was the lack of vehicles parked around the bus turning 3Wed28island. I got inside and shouted a ‘Hello’ through the open door of the ILC’s Wardens Interrogation office. No response. They could not have heard me.

3Wed29Along the link-passage back to the Woodthorpe Court lift lobby. Passing the al-fresco seating outside, I wondered if I’ll ever get the chance of going out there and sitting on one of the wooden benches, with the crossword book, a flask of 3Wed30tea, and some sun-shining? Out of the lift, and to the flat.

WD 100.20.0 ac I made a mess of getting the trolley with the two light, but bulky bags on the handlebars in through the door. I now have a decent-sized bruise on my right elbow. Haha!

I left the things in the bags and trolley a while and got the meal prepared. Well, the handful of fries and fritters in the oven, that I had cunningly left on a low light! Then unloaded the trolley and got the bits stored away. Then I made up the rest of the plate of food. A veritable feast! Piccalo halved tomatoes, chicken pieces, a mini pork and pickle pie, beetroot, garden peas, and mushroom pate.

Made a brew, and checked if owt worth watching was on the box. (Why do I bother – I’m going to nod-off watching it anyway?) hear me.

3Wed31WD 100.20.0 ac The fritters and fries were ready… but unluckily, after taking out the fritters, I dropped the tray with the chips still in it! I caught the dish, but most of the fires fell out – where did they land? Incredible! Straight into the waste bin! With the mobile phone doing this yesterday, I’m likely to get a ‘Bin-Phobiaitis Complex!’, Hehehe! I only salvaged about six little fries. Still, it made them taste all the better I’m sure!

I got the washing up completed, got into my night attire, and down in the grungy recliner, and got the TV on.

3Wed32After a while of nodding and waking, I got up to make a brew of tea. The sky encouraged me to take a photograph of it.

WD 100.20.0 In the morning I tried the red-eye remover on CorelDraw, but it wouldn’t do anything, Humph!

I returned to the second-hand, c1968, rickety recliner, and fell asleep. With the mug of tea getting cold in the kitchen where I’d left it. Nebbish fool!

GM01 red01:25hrs: I woke up, feeling strangely contented? (If a dream caused this, I want another one like it, Hahaha!) A wee-wee was soon needed, the grey bucket had not been used all night, another conundrum! Hmm? Off to the wet room.

Well, that was interesting. I spent a few minutes before the flow started, the tiniest bits of discomfort, two or three sprinkles, and that was that! Ah, well!

Got the kettle on, took the medications, made a brew of Thompson’s Punjana, and got the computer on. (and all without much hassle from the ailments at all), Well, apart from Shoulder-Shaking-Shirley, and the right leg twitching a tad. But I can cope with these alright.

I wanted to get the updating and finalising of the Monday post done before the Morrison delivery was due (06:30>07:30hrs). A lot of photographs to go on it, from yesterdays gadabout, and Whoopsidanglelpop with the buses in town. I pressed on, getting a few annoying moments of inorthography had me stumped. This was not due to any 2Tue07insouciance on my behalf. I was concentrating well, I thought, but the brain had different ideas. I plugged away, and finally got it finished at last (Three-and-a-half hours).

I got the veg in the crock-pot on a low setting. Leeks, parsnips, carrots and turnips.

Then, I checked on the Amazon Tracker for the droppers and blow-bulb rough ETA. It looks like it will a late one. Can’t be helped.

2Tue01

2Tue08aNo time to send it off the blog yet, the Morrison delivery arrived. I even heard the intercom with no difficulty. (I pondered if my using the medical olive oil more often had helped? If so, when I the de-waxing tool, it might get even better?) I let him in, and he was soon up at the door. The lad placed the bags inside the door 2Tue09for me and then shot off, bless him.

I got the things into the kitchen and put in the cupboards or the fridge as required.

The fresh sweet potato slices tempted me so much, I decided I’d have them with the veggies and some of the chicken pieces for lunch, dinner whatever. But they were not cheap by any means, so I must taketh care not to make a mess of cooking them this time. Last time when I burnt them, they were frozen ones that cost £1.50 for 300g – these cost £3.50 for 250g.

It’s getting on now, so I put some more olive oil in the tab-holes, checked the veggies progress, and went for a wee-wee.

WD 0.0.255 But it proved a trickle-less effort? Humph!

2Tue10I took a shot of the murky looking sky from the unpopular, dirty, light & view-blocking, photographer-hating, thick-framed, kitchen window.

Then, back on the computer to send off the blog I’d finished, and made a start on this one.

The doorbell chimed out. But I only just heard it this time. The fitter-lads were back at it, just outside the front door in the flat’s hallway, and making an unruly, but, unavoidable din and racket. I thought it might be the Phlebotomy nurse who’d been let in. But it was Josie, returning the things from the Sunday meal. I inquired if she liked the new things I tried. All she said was, the cheesy potatoes were lovely! Good enough for me!

I took the server-tray, plate and cutlery into the kitchen, made a brew of Glenghettie tea, and back onto the computer. Minutes later, the intercom chimed out again. This time it was the nurse. I full-figured Phlebotomy-nurse! She soon sorted out taking the blood and chatted a bit, that was most welcome! Handed her some vanilla wafers, by way of a thank-you. And she trotted of with some haste. Everybody is busy today!

2Tue11I made an order for Iceland. Some of the braised beef in onion gravy (2), I have plans to add some home-made vegetables to them and see what they turn out like. Chicken Satays, Mini ice-cream bars, mushrooms, onions, leeks, cooking butter. And on offer-price, Aberdeen meat joint, orange squash, Hob cleaner, a few different of kitchen-rolls, and some toilet rolls. There was only one type of bog-rolls in stock! Comfort (16-pack), and only one of them was allowed to could be ordered. The panic stock-piling I suppose. The chances are, they might not be any available at all come the delivery time? Oh, dear, dear, dearie me!

I got as far as here and had a search around amongst the mysteries of my beloved Woodthorpe Court, that lies somewhere between the twilight zone and a wormhole slipping through a tear in the fabric of space & the eternal cosmic continuum. It’s illusions, delusions, abstrusities, problemata, emotions, and despair. Katzenjammers and emotional-quagmires; for the missing Olive Oil pots, I had delivered on Saturday. What the heck did do with them. I had four, and can only find the one, now! No luck! Krankelkraps!

Did check on the Amazon order; Looking better now.

2Tue12

2Tue13Sister Jane phoned me, she’s sent me a bit of the Nottingham Post paper on the snail-post, with details about diabetes for me to read. Not arrived yet.

Then I went of CorelDraw to make some graphics. Then checked on the Amazon situation. Nearly here!

That’s it, it had to come, Dizzy Dennis is back like a thunderstorm! I’ll get a sit down quietly. But I must not fall asleep and miss the delivery of the ear cleaners especially.

The intercom 2Tue14came to light and life, it was the Amazon delivery gentleman. I must have looked a sight as I opened the door to him. The Dizzy Dennis shakes were well set-in. The lad kept asking me if I was alright, bless his cotton socks.

Took the parcel through to the kitchen and left it for sorting later, tomorrow maybe.

WD 0.0.255AWD 0.0.255 2Tue15Wearily I got the meal served up, but not without some minor Accifauxpas and Whoopsiedangleplops in doing so. A cut finger, a burnt wrist, various dropsies, including as I recall, cutlery, washing up bottle, saucepan lid and the salt pot.

2Tue16The meal was a worthy 8.2/10 for taste-rating. This was mainly due to the absolutely delightful sweet potato fritters!

But as I said earlier, the fatigue won the day, I struggled through the cleaning up, and got settled, in body, not mind (Hehe!), in the £300, second-hand, cringingly-crude beige-coloured recliner, that xyrophobia-suffering Brother-in-Law Pete damaged. At the same time, as he was flat-sitting and stealing my valuables.

I so wanted and needed sleep. But it was not to be! Shaking Shaun and Shoulder-Shaking-Shirley ensured that. When the Thought-Storming started, I gave up and just went along with the tormenting flow, trying my best to attain a state of apanthropinisation.

Sleep must have come, cause I woke up later. Haha!

02:00hrs: Things went like lightning after I woke up, no time for thought-storms or ponderisationing! Woke, wobbled out of the recliner, wee-wee bucket wetted and to the kitchen. Kettle on, and a diversion to the Porcelain Throne.

WDP 2019B01AWD 250.100.0 That’s where things got nasty again! The second I got down. well, as I got down, the movement started. But it was all out of my control again. (I expected this with the blockage last night, Humph!) I was in there for ages before the mass released itself into the bowl, with a thud. The agonistical pain was horrendous! I was convinced that the blood must be flowing, and I might possibly have just split or broken a part of my innards! Relief, the bleeding was minimal, and things seem to be okay. There was an ominous silence from my IQ? Not so the ‘Hum’! Bogglebugs!

7Sun05WD 250.100.0 Got the kettle on, and made sure I took some Sennas with the medications. With the attentions of Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters failing, I was having trouble opening the packet of Sennas, so got the sharp knife to cut into the foil. T’was not the best Idea! Just a tip here for you, or anyone; Make sure you keep the scissors where you know they will be! Klutz!

I popped back into the wet room to see if I could find the aforementioned scissors. And noticed that I had still not re-attached the curtain rails last hook. dropped the hook, and had to bend down under the sink to retrieve it, Guess what?

7Sun03I found an old, lost-long-ago (Many months!) aged picker-upperer, behind the floor cabinet! So decided to use this, to try and get the hook back in the hole. I would never use the one that Jenny had given me, in case it got broken as I was balancing on the chair. Wallah! The curtain is back to normal! (Head Swanking!)

7Sun08 (2)I got some graphics done on CorelDraw (two) and started to update the Saturday diary.

Shaking-Shoulder Shirley (Gawd she makes my glenohumeral joint ache!) and Saccades-Sandra both gave me a few moments of hindrances, and it took me yonks to get the job done and posted off. Many hours!

WD 250.100.0 I tackled the ablutions next, I was fairly chuffed when the curtain ring didn’t fall off when I used it. Hehehe! The dropsies were plentiful. But, no shaving cuts! No sock-glide injuries either. Fair enough, I did partly clear the high floor cabinet of medications, but I can’t expect too much, can yers?

I tackled the hand-washing next, and what a feat it was!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

7Sun04As I finished spreading the Saturday and this morning’s togs all around the flat, I took a picture of the windows, and just as I was pressing the button on the camera, the lights went out, making me jump a bit. Ah, well! No idea what the problem was, but it flashed back into life in a few seconds? Yet another of the mysteries of my beloved Woodthorpe Court, that lies somewhere between the twilight zone and a wormhole slipping through a tear in the fabric of space & the spacetime continuum. With illusion, delusion, & hallucination, rife! Oh, and the damned ‘Hum’ as a permanent resident!

7Sun13As her personal Sunday Chef, I started to make Josie’s lunch. Cheesy potatoes, pickled gherkins. tomatoes, smoked haddock, tuna in brine with Coronation dressing, cheese and a Limoncello dessert. A can of Jack Daniels & coke, oh, and a bar of chocolate.

7Sun12I delivered to Josie’s flat. We had a little chinwag and laugh, and I took this photographicalisation.

Then, I returned to tackle the washing up. Them-there cheesy potatoes don’t half stick to the cutlery spoon and fork when you mix them. I knew from experience to leave them to soak for a few hours, in red hot water and washing-up liquid, so I did!

The leftover potatoes, I thought I’d have later. And popped them in the oven to brown off and keep warm. Then, I made up six bags of rubbish and took them to the waste chute.

I put my weekend plan into operation! That was to go to Winwood Court, on the roof and take some pictures.

I got the coat on and set off out of the flat: But didn’t get far. Dizzy Dennis attacked, the head spun, and my balance went a little dodgy, so back to the lift and up to the flat.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

It’s just as well that Dizzy Dennis made me return, I’d forgotten about the cheesy potatoes in the oven! Phew, a close call that was!

7Sun41I got my meal made on a used, about to throw away foil baking tray. (That’ll save on the washing-up, Snigger!

WD 250.100.0 A right mess, another failure! Taste rating 5/10.

I got on with the blog updating, but it was gruelling work. Dizzy, Saccades, and Anne Gyna were all hard at work disorientating me.

WD 250.100.0 As I decided to give up, another urgent call to the Porcelain Throne arrived. It wasn’t as bad as the earlier visit, but it was a close call! I must remember to tell Doctor Vindla about it on Wednesday when I for the results of the tests. I’ve taking Senna for a while now, but it doesn’t seem to be doing anything beneficial?

Got the medications and down in the recliner. Some good stuff to watch on the box, but I watched a YouTube of the Fury v Wilder 2 contest on the computer. Turned off the computer, and got in the recliner again.

The thought-storms started, and sleep was very late coming.

From 23:10hrs: I kept waking, having a mini-thought-storm and nodding off again repeatedly. My EQ, telling me to go back to sleep each time? And I did!

WD 0.0.120 02:00hrs: This time, when I woke, there was no mind-storm, and the damned ‘Hum’ seemed to be so much more noticeable and loud! The innards abruptly started to churn and rumble. Shoulder-Shuddering-Shirley and Shaking Shaun almost shook me out of the £300, second-hand recliner! That was the end of any thoughts of going back to kip again, although the body wanted to, the twisted-tormented mind decided it needed the body to rise up for a wee-wee. So I got up!

WD 0.0.120a Not an easy task this morning, with Shirley and Shaun, shivering and shaking away with a high degree of determination. Using the walking stick was farcical, even comical, as I leapt all over the place. I nearly had myself over a few times, dropped the Four-Pronger and almost lost my balance. All within the few steps to the GPWWB (Grey-Plastic-Wee-Wee-Bucket), where I had an SBTSDWS (Started-Blasting-out-Then-Stopped-Dead-Within-Seconds) wee-wee. T’was then I realised the time and remembered all the waking-ups, and scribbled some notes adding to the list of reminders.

WD 0.0.120 I took the bucket for decontamination, cleaning and freshening-up. Which is just as well I did, cause when in the wet room, the stomach gave out a puff from the rear end, and I had to drop-em, and down on the Porcelain Throne sharpish! Oh, dear, things went very similar to yesterdays first visit! I had no control over the movement, it was one long grinding, painful, bloody session! A giant, solid torpedo was evacuated. Kerplunk – Splash! The relief made me sigh with pleasure, Tsk! So, the two Sennas I took after yesterday’s  H-bomb release, had done nothing to ease the situation then? I got the bucket, Throne, and myself cleaned up and medicated.

I took three pictures of the pins, in different settings with the Nikon. The auto was nearest to how they appeared to my eyes. I’ll use Auto in future whenever I shoot the legs.

5Fri05

WD 0.0.120 To the kitchen, Shirley and Shaun still in attendance, me wobbling about a bit, instead of the usual hobbling. (Hahaha!) I got the kettle on and took the medications, with two Senna tablets this time. The ‘Hum’ still belting away, no alternating of tone, on with a constant, horribly annoying rasping, resonating drone, that was really getting on my goat for some reason today? Made the brew. Pondering over whether to have porridge, biscuits or pot-noodle for brekkers – the innards gave off a silent, discrete, microscopic phut of wind from the rear end – believe me, no one could have considered eating with the acrid aroma that the escapage left behind! Cor!

I got on the computer, accompanied by the ‘Hum’! I made a start on this blog first, up to here, while the memories remained and I could still decipher some of the notes I’d made. Then began on updating the Thursday post.

Flopping ‘eck, six hours later I got it done! Splenetic-Spitting!

5Fri001About done in now. I went to the kitchen to get a brew of tea and sort out what medications I had missed or not.

I later found this photograph on the SD card, but taking it is another mystery. Why?

Back on the computer, Pinterest, and TFZer Facebooking, then actually got some graphics done for the diary. But it cost me a few more hours. And occasional visits from Shaking-Shoulder-Shirley, felt like the joint would either come out of its socket or freeze up in pain. She’s certainly left me with a sore shoulder! I must mention this to the Doctor on Wednesday.

The only thing I was capable of, was making a meal, and I felt so in need of food. I don’t know why suddenly? But I spent a lot of time (Perhaps it was because I knew I had to stay awake for the delivery of the socks and coathangers?), preparing and making the meal 5Fri007clook good. (Haha!) The black tomatoes were really-good as I moved the tray to the recliner and got sat down, dish on the knees, and the moment I took the first mouthful, the intercom flashed and rang!

WD 0.0.120 Well, I fumbled out of the chair, got the food tray on the Ottoman, fumbled to get up, nearly tripped over the waste bin as I made it to the intercom panel, and I pressed the wrong button, and lost contact with the caller! I saw an image of his stomach for a second or two before I accidentally cut him off!

WD 0.0.120 I got some trousers on, to go down to let the bloke in, I was panicking a bit. But as I left the flat, the delivery lad arrived at the door. He was kind enough of my Accifauxpas in cutting him off on the intercom. Thanks mate!

WD 0.0.120 He left the box inside the door for me. I left it there, and I returned to the front room and the now cold meal. And ate it all up, but the enjoyment was marred. Flavour Rating, 6/10.

WD 0.0.120 5Fri04I was doing the washing up, and the sharp serrated knife (thank you Nicodemus Neurotrammiter!) slipped from my grasp, hit the drainer and bounced towards the floor. I actually remember feeling a little chuffed with myself for getting out of the way rather nattily and avoiding the blade, I thought! But, could I find the mysteriously vanished knife to retrieve it? Nope! Well, not for ages. I actually moved this bin above several times in the search for the blade. I spot it, a long time later. Surprising, the knife fell in the optimum place to be camouflaged perfectly! Hahaha!

As I got down in the £300 second-hand, rickety recliner, I had a bit of the mixed bag of ailments all come on at the same time, and until I woke in the morning, everything is hazy, missing or forgotten.

WD 0.0.255 2 01:15hrs: I woke up to the wind, rain and the pestiferous, infesting everywhere ‘Hum’, that was the loudest its ever been! Grrr! I escaped the clutches of the uncomfortable, £300, second-hand, c1968 recliner with ease! No Arthur Itis grumbling this morning, he’s giving me a breather I think. But, once I was up on the pins, walking stick in hand and on my way to the kitchen, Saccades-Sandra and Back-Pain-Brenda joined in with Toothache Terrie, and my spirits sank back down a tad.

I got the kettle on and needed a wee-wee. It was of the SSPP (Short-Sharp-Painful-Powerful) mode, so I kept the GPWWB (Grey-Plastic-Wee-Wee-Bucket) handily near the computer chair, my EQ told me it would be needed frequently! Took the medications and made a brew of Glenghettie tea, then straight on the computer.

WD 0.0.255 2 I had to create some graphics first on CorelDraw. This took a while, but at least Neurotransmitters-Nicodemus was a lot easier this morning. Then I got on with updating the Saturday post, it was not a good day. The rain came, and the light resisted coming out. The wee-wees that were for some reason tenacious were all of the same style, SSPP (Short-Sharp-Painful-Powerful). The toothache was not too bad after I’d taken the medications.

Eventually, I got the post finished and sent off to WordPress. Then a few pictures to Pinterest. Then onto Facebooking, which, with me not getting any done yesterday, cost me a few hours.

I did a couple of graphics, then had a bash at the WordPress Reader section.

7Sun10a

I made a start on Josie’s plate layout while her potatoes, cheese, butter and onion salt, and peas were laying ready to be mashed and served up.

7Sun04Ablutions time. I don’t want to look scruffy when I take Josie her Sunday lunch. I’ve not seen her this week, I’ve called at her apartment a few times.

Another decent ablutionalisationing session again.

I took the new long socks in with me, the get on after the teggies, shaving, showering and medicationalisationing etc. I just hope they will be comfortable and long enough.

A few, as-to-be-expected dropsies. The only bad one was after the session when I was leaving the flannels in the sink to soak in disinfectant and liquid soap flakes; I dropped the bottle! A bit of cleaning up needed. The sock-glide battle was a draw.

7Sun05The pins (legs) looked to have more colour. But it was most likely due to my having the wall convector heater on. Feeling a touch more vibrant and smelling nice, I made a start on creating Josie’s meal. Well, vibrant was not the word, erm, err… perhaps, Feeling not so bad, is a more accurate way of saying it. That was until I tackled the sock-glide, although no injuries or 7Sun08knocks were suffered, I discovered that the new ‘long socks’ were not so long after all! Ah, well, my own fault for buying the wrong ones! Pillock!

WD 0.0.255 2 I got everything meal-wise prepared and was about to get on the computer to do some graphics, and I realised the handwashing still needed doing! I changed direction to go back to the kitchen, lost control of the stick, and bounced into the door frame! If I remember correctly, I think I said out loud, something like; “Well, fancy that!” The bad thing about it, was, that I caught my chin on the frame, and now the blasted toothache is really giving me some stick!

7Sun09I then got the handwashing done, rung and hung. A more challenging job today, t-shirt, the weighty jammie bottoms, socks and the thin dressing gown.

I pondered a while, should I take yet another pain killer to ease the tooth? Hope the Dentist can fit me in tomorrow, and also, that he 7Sun06doesn’t (but he will) charge me for the appointment I missed!

Went to check on the cooking for my meal, and it was like someone had turned off the light! The rain was coming, on and off. By the time I’d checked the fishcakes and cheesy potatoes, it was light again. Storm Dennis? Phwert!

I got Josie’s dinner ready and served it at her door. She was in good form today, bless her.♥

Then I got my cheesy potatoes in the oven to crisp-up and did some computer catch up. Then I tended to the meal, still wondering if I dare take another painkiller. I resisted it.

WD 0.0.255 2 I moved the dressing gown and hung it in the wet room, but the wall heater on, with the intentions of turning it of in a couple of hours. (In reality, I found it ten hours later, when I went in for a Porcelain Throne session, on Monday morning! – the dressing gown was dried! Oofta!)

7Sun11I got the herring in sweet onion and pepper sauce left-over from Josie’s plate, and I sliced a black Ibera tomato. Kept checking on the fishcakes and cheesy mashed potatoes in the oven.

Got a Rumpole of the Bailey DVD in the player, ready to watch after the fodder-intaking.

7Sun12What a feast of a meal today! Cheesy mash, baked in the oven to crisp up. Garden peas (not so good, from Lidl). Herring in sweet onion and pepper dressing, black tomatoes, battered fish cakes. Onion relish, and two wholemeal cobs. A light lemon yoghourt for afters. Taste-Rating of 7.5/10.

WD 0.0.255 2 But, I paid for this treat, with a load of washing up to do, from both meals. I cut my finger on the tomato slicer. Dropped and broke the tea-bag pot! Spilt the water on the floor when emptying the bowl. Sad, innit?

Got settled early to watch the Rumpole on the DVD. Fell asleep after a few minutes, and wondered what the noise was, surely the ‘Hum’ can’t be this loud!

WD 0.0.255 2 I got up, fell over, thanks to Arthur Itis’s sudden attack in both knees, got myself back up with the aid of the four-pronged stick and the Ottoman for leverage, and went to the kitchen to have a look around to investigate this odd, loud noise. It was the rain pelting down, and wind galing around the flats!

I returned to the recliner, restarted the DVD from the beginning, and fell asleep again. A couple of hours later, I woke up again, with a start! As I considered getting up back for another poke around to see what might have shaken me from my reverie… but decided not to bother, and promptly nodded-off again! Zzzz!

00 Feb 07

5Fri00101:50hrs: I stumbled into a sort of imitation life, and waited a few seconds for the brain to catch me up. When it did, the short pleasant moments of vagueness and freedom from fears ended. As the cerebrum  galvanised into life, the regular first instructions on waking arrived; “You need the Porcelain Throne, now!”

So, I stumbled up out of the £300, second-hand, c1968 recliner with relative ease, fell back down again, had another go at getting on my feet, and all went well this time. Off I gingerly wobbled to the wet room.

4Thu03

Sob!

Passing the picker-upper that I broke yesterday, and making a mental note that I need to get out and buy a new one today! As I limped carefully with the wooden walking stick, I thought to myself: ‘Well at least the brain seems to be working this morning!’ First thoughts and reactions can be very misleading, though. I’ve noticed this before.

WD 128.0.128 The evacuations started then stopped part-way again. I waited for nature and my innards to move things along, cause last time I energetically encouraged activity, the bleeding was terrible. To avoid a repeat, I waited patiently, and in pain, nevertheless, I still fell asleep on the Throne! Harumph! It’s not the first time I’m done it, but I haven’t for a long time now. I even had a dream, that seemed to me so vivid, I got the impression when I woke up, that I’d been dreaming for ages. But the clock told me, I’d only been in the arms of Morpheus for two minutes or so? In the dream, I was in a Courtroom, built from parts of bodies and innards as if I was in a chest or something. I was discussing and arguing with ribs, lungs etc. about why they weren’t sorting out a pact with the Neurotransmitters to get them to work again?

If they would, I offered and promised a bribe of free flowers for life amongst other things that escape me now. Back and forth the arguments went on for ages (in the nightmare), and I ended up being sentenced to life imprisonment without any cheesy potatoes! At this stage, I came back to wakefulness. I was writing down some notes before I forgot everything when I realised that ‘things’ were still half-in half-out! It nowt else, it brought me to life properly. Another few minutes past by and things did flow again and the evacuation was tortuously finished!

Well, two firsts there, dreaming on the toilet, and the most hurtful evacuation ever! I was over-the-moon when I found no bleeding had taken place. Yee-ha!

Washed and cleaned up, and limped to the kitchen. Kettle on then took the medications. Off to the computer to update the Thursday blog. I got it done around 04:00hrs. Had a brew and some bikkies and did some Pinterest uploading, then went on the WordPress reader.

Time to get the ablutions done now. Cause I want to catch the L9 bus at 09:30hrs to Arnold. To get a new picker-upperer. Costing me a fortune these are, Tsk!

Phenomenally few dropsies today. A couple of tiny nicks shaving, it was going smoothly for once. Then as I was medicating certain area in need, and I clouted my elbow on the door edge. Then the door chimes rang-out ♫ I only want to be with you ♫!

As I grabbed the thin dressing gown, I heard Jenny saying something as she let herself in. I hastened to cover my privates, not wanting to Angel to hurt herself laughing, and exited the wet room.

JennyTo find that Jenny stood there with a new picker-upper in hand for me to have! (She had read the blog and the picker-upper fiasco, and there she was helping me out again, Bless her cotton socks!) ♥. We chatted a little, and Jenny gave me good advice on certain things, and off she went. I can’t even remember if I thanked her properly, for the Godsent help, for at the end of the day, this tool became so priceless and pain-saving. (Explained later on). I thought I’d get one of the long reach ones today, from the Disability shop in Arnold, that collapse (they break in half when you fall on them, hehe!) and can be taken with me in the trolley guide when I go shopping. This one was perfect for picking up, as I found out when I tried it on a tablet! Smashing, thanks, Jenny, you truly are a comforting, faith-returning Angel! ♥

5Fri04Back to the wet room, and finished off, got dressed, and ready with a deal of alacrity, to be in time to catch the bus. I took the bags to the waste chute on the way out.

The work taking place, and giving everyone a headache, on the fire sprinklers was showing signs of advancement in the lift lobby.

WD 128.0.128 I walked out onto Chestnut Way to hobble to the bus stop for a change. Where many residents were waiting, Mary, Shirley, Christine, and others, with Malcolm in Newsreader-form. It seems that last night, Winwood Heights had had a fire in one of the flats, and the bloke in flat below, got flooded, he has no power, his cooker, fridge, etcetera are now useless! Carpets destroyed. The discussion that I listened to, was about who does he claim off of, his own insurance, the Fire Department or Nottingham City Homes. By gum, when money is mentioned, the atmosphere got heated! Hehehe!

5Fri05The sun was bright, but it was bitterly cold, I was glad when the bus arrived. As I got settled in the side-saddle seat, I noticed how white and pale the hands looked? Either the carbolic soap had increased in strength, or I’d died and nobody told me! Hahaha! Colin Cramps started in that hand at the same time. Tsk!

5Fri06I looked up and noticed how deep in thought, and Russian-Romanian looking, Mary was. I sneaked this surprisingly decent snap of her.

Most folks got off in Sherwood. Margaret and I tried a conversation en route to Arnold, but it was farcical, with us both being on the deaf side.

5Fri007cWD 128.0.128 We dropped off on Front Street. I walked with Mary as far as the Iceland store, and I accidentally bumped my trolley into Mary’s, twice! This did not please the gal, oh, dearie me! Trouble ‘t Mill!

I went into the store and said my farewells to Mary. The damned shop didn’t have any of the tinned new potatoes in stock. Tsk! Worra let down! They did have the pork & pickle pies, Truffle chips and Wholemeal sliced rolls, which I purchased.

5Fri16WD 128.0.128 Paid, and went to the Mobility shop to get a long reach picker-upperer. So very-most irking. Agravannoying! Flanglemanglingly-Frenetically-Frustrating! They didn’t have any in stock! The lady joyfully told me they will have some in next week. Huh! That was disappointing! It proves the value of befriending Jenny and her wonderful help in donating the picker-upperer earlier. Thus saving me struggling! ♥

5Fri08Off to the Futltons Food shop. Found another type of Tuna for Josie, and got a bottle of sterilised milk.

Twenty-five minutes before the bus was due, so 5Fri017I nipped across the road to the Asda (Walmart) store. I bought: Gravy granules, lemon yoghourts, including a large pot of Sicilian Lemon Layered type. Bit of a luxury. A can of chilli-con-carne, and mushrooms.

5Fri09Out in the heatless sunshine onto Front Street and to the bus stop. No signs of Mary? As I stood there waiting, Mary arrived, telling me she was going to Asda and will catch the bus later at the back of the store.

5Fri10So, I waited and caught the bus and as it went on its circuitous route, the brain seemed to go into one of its vacuous-moments. I may well have fallen asleep, though. Either way, I was shaken out of it, by the driver papping his horn.

A car transporter was blocking the road. Parked right on the corner! The driver radioed in about it. The lorry did not move and the driver of the transporter seemed uninterested. Eventually, the L9’s driver skilfully, but dangerously had to drive on the grass to get us by! Well done, Sir! Mary did not get on the bus in Arnold.

5Fri12Back at the flats, I had a job getting up on my feet to get of the bus. (Arthur Itis’s knees) The driver was patient with me. Once up and on the move, things improved with the knees, and I took a photo of the Chestnut Tree, on Chestnut Walk outside Winwood Court. The light-giving, 5Fri11but gelid sun seemed to be getting brighter now. I arrived at the Woodthorpe Court entrance and took this shot. I thought at this time, of the fire last night, and the good fortune that it was at nighttime. For sure, the emergency services 5Fri13would have difficulty in finding anywhere to park, not that it would have been easy in the day either really.

I had a visit from Shaking Shaun, that lasted for a few hours, but it wasn’t too severe and Shaking-Shoulder-Shirley did not join in.

I got the jammies on, and did the handwashing, while the oven chips cooked. I checked to see if any details of last night’s fire were in the news, but as usual, nothing was mentioned. It wasn’t even on the Fire Brigade’s ‘Incident list’? Although there were four false alarms at the flats on it, three of them from the workmen accidentally setting off the alarm. It doesn’t show much confidence in the Fire Sprinklers reliability when they eventually get finished and working, does it?

5Fri14I made up some wholemeal rolls, buttered, added cooked slices, and thickly cut black Ibera tomatoes, salted them. Then I added the truffle-chips to the tray. A pot of lemon yoghourt for afters, and got settled in the £300, second-hand recliner to digest the fodder.

WD 128.0.128 Again, the third day on the trot, I got disturbed as I took the first bite! Not the telephone this time, but the door chimes ringing out! I took a while in getting to the door, making sure the food tray was firmly placed so it didn’t fall off of the chair, grabbed the stick and poddled to the door. Nobody was there? Mmm!

WDP 1LcWD 128.0.128 Back to the chair, and talk about bad-timing… The autonomic nerves in the hand and fingers failed at the very moment I foolishly used my right hand to pick up the tray of food! I think I retrieved all of the chips, that had spread in the folds of my stomach, the creases in the chair, the carpet and one even fell right into my drink of orange juice on the Ottoman! The search for and cleaning up of the tomatoes, beef, roll crumbs, smudges of butter and yoghourt took me ages!

WDP 1LbWD 128.0.128 Picking up and sorting things out, was sop painful! Especially the repeatedly having to get down and back up to clean the butter marks and pressed in crumbs where I’d stood on some. Now I had Anne Gyna and Hernia Henry giving me grief as well! I really felt sorry for myself! Hehehe! Thank the Heavens that Jenny had given me that picker upperer! Her caring actions had saved the day again, for sure! ♥

WDPright05So, no nosh tonight then! I did have some biscuits to nibble, mindful that Duodenal Donald might kick-off as well if I didn’t eat something. I don’t think I could have coped if he’d joined in with the others at the same time. Then I realised I had not taken the medications, so I did!

I finally got resettled in the £300, second-hand, near-dilapidated, horrendously gungy-beige coloured, c1968, sometimes working, uncomfortable, rickety, rinky-dinked, rattling, rusty, resurrected, repaired-repeatedly, reconditioned, recalcitrant, recidivating and rotting-away recliner.

But as for getting to sleep? Huh!

What an odd day!
