I’m dejected, depressed, despondent, downcast downhearted, demoralised, in the doldrums and discouraged. Why? I’ll tell yers!
The Red-Eye is redder. The Urine is darker. Cartilages Chloe & Carole are so painful and have given way a few times on me already. The Mystery rib pains are back again. I cut myself four times shaving. Neuropathy Pete has had two unintentional leg dances before 06:00hrs!
Clouted my Cartilage in Chloe’s knee both times. The Cathy Cateter contraption seems to work when only it wants to, having no bearing on how much I’m drinking or not. When I’d finished shaving and taken off the PPs, the blood from overnight had encrusted on the Catheter tube, my testicles, thighs and the protection pants. I’ve never had this so bad before. But, naturally, a man of my pain-bearing capabilities and heroic nature, did not cry out and swear, or nearly lose my balance as I started to clean things up, or spit on the floor!

Throughout the day, as of up to 15:00hrs which it is now, I’ve had three leg dances, a minor tumble, and now, had to when she kicked off for at least an hour of non-stop jiggling in an effort to dislodge the shoulder socket. Which, in turn, caused so many mistakes on the computer, I had to stop using it until Shirley had settled. Yet, I’m not complaining, for today there were two moments of sheer joy; admittedly, the second one didn’t last long, but still, every minor victory helps.

I’ve paid two visits to the , and they were both as near to normal as they have ever been in many a month of Sundays. Nice, not messy!

I realised that I had a cottage pie in the fridge, and planned to have some beetroot with it later on.
I didn’t, because when Carer Richard arrived on his first call, the use-by date was yesterday! Humph!.

Now, the computer is playing up again. I’m not taking any chances, I’ll get the photos on quick before it goes down again…

Oh, heck, that’s dark!

Morning views.

Again, not very good.

Into the wet room to get the ablutions done.

A bloody shaving session today.

The JS Delivery arrived.

I got some of the apple & mint drinks in again; they were popular with the carers & nurses.

Got the bread in the freezer, so as not to need an order Christmas week at all.

Stocked up the treats shelves.

The mudslide returned.

Flowers for the wardens are an early Christmas treat. I hope not to order anything again this year.
Deana could not get to fetch them but will do so in the morning. I hope they last.

The carers’ and nurses’ nibble was box filled up.My nibbles.

Sod-dit, not feeling well again.
I’ll get some food and a sit-down.
A lot of concentration and effort went into creating this simple sausage and potato meal, with Milk Roll bread.
Flavour Rating: 7/10. The dessert…
Flavour Rating 8.2/10.

Short again. Depressed, and not feeling well.

A little dark, but less than of late.

Fantastically detailed shot of the morning fog.

Tried again later.

So cold when I opened the window to take the photos. The heater is still not working… weekend again! Made a brew of Glengettie to warm up.

Ah, black turning to blue?

Later on, grey fog.

Only three trips today. All the same in nature.

Daily total for internet failures Much better…

The fog was still thick four hours later.

Second and last allowed mug of tea. Sob!

Aha, I can see shapes!

The day bag often filled up quick today.

Late afternoon, I see houses. Hehe!

Medicationings done.

, the sunshine got through the clouds and fog for the first time today…
Then sank out of view within minutes.

Did you get them all? I did…

Still feeling a smidgen dizzy and out of balance for some reason or other. And the periods of Dark, and dank  s, were horrible.

0515hrs: After a terrible night of supposedly sleeping all the time, my mind pondered over what I could do to get CorelDraw working again. No rest, no peace; it was an awfully disturbing nocturnal period.

I got up, gingerly, and , along with giving way, all but had me over. I grabbed the left at the side of the c1966, ÂŁ300 Oxfam charity shop bought, second-hand, wincingly grotty, beige coloured, crumb-covered from my nocturnal nibblings, itch-making, uncomfortable, positively unhealthy & dangerous, no longer operational, virus-breeding, easy-to-fall-out-of, Catheter-tube-trapping, recliner, and lunged for the saviour of the morning; , and kept him with me from then on, hoping not to forget to take him.

Then as I was starting the computer, rang out from the door chime. It was coming in. He looked well-tired out, bless him. He got the medications dealt out to me. Then went to check on the medication stock in the drawer in the kitchenette to sort out what needed ordering.
Despite it drizzling outside, the temperature was -3°f, he told me, he was sweating a bit. I think his Diabetes level must be well out again. I wished him a good kip, and off he went at the end of his shift.

I returned to the computer and tried to sort out the problem with CorelDraw if I could. Still, it opened the 2017 version…but without my doing anything, when I tried to save the graphics again… it did! This time, the option to use selected only was on view! So I got all of them done ASAP in case CorelDraw or they started again. Fingers crossed and a prayer offered to any God listening that I didn’t lose this capability later, or the next time I open CorelDraw… Pleeease!
I kept on with this blog, even though I knew that the nurse was coming today and that I must phone the Doctor to ask to cancel the earlier appointment. And desperately needed a good wash, shave and personal medicationings done. I stink!
They thought of the risk of closing down and restarting the computer to go to the wet room for two hours, meaning that I would not be concentrating on the task at hand and be worrying if CorelDraw would go back to the old status and cock-up my current joy when I get back to it… But here goes…

All went well in the wet room. Very decent job all around today!
Of course, with the current condition of the legs, there was no showering, and only one foot was washable. No cuts shaving, not a single one, I thought. Until it came to rinsing off the traces of shaving foam from the neck, only three shaving cuts today.
Back to the computer. The web was down… I needn’t have said that; I take it for granted nowadays with the Oligarchs Service!

Arrived and we had a bit of a small natterisational moment. Only painkillers are required. She tested the alarm disc for me, and it is working.

Back on the computer, now smelling nice for when Nurse Nichole arrives to do the Severe Frailty Test.
I found this photo from last night of the meal. 8.2/10.
I took a photo of the windy, wet morning from the kitchen window. Then, ventured bravely out onto the balcony (it was darned cold out there, Hehe!) Then, the end window was opened to take a shot of the car park. It was looking bleak. The mudslide from the Woodthorpe Grange park was getting bigger.
Off to the wet room, and belatedly, I started the task of ing.

Well, that was the plan anyway. I actually thought Porc failedthat I was in danger of not getting there in time. But no! I whipped off the clothes I’d not long ago put on, and settled down on the, started doing my best to force something to happen.

But the evacuation did not even feel like it wanted to. No wind escaped, and I got out the crossword book and had a go at the puzzle for about 15 minutes. I got some of the answers filled in as well. Then, I counted the cracks in the ceiling. Sang a song and yodelled. Finally, realising whatever was in there must be rock solid, I gave up.

I made a mug of Laxative Laxido. It said I think the eyes are not too good, as you know. Mix with 125ml water and drink. Well, I wasn’t going to wash my feet with it, Hehehe! I hope it encouraged the mass of food that is festering in my stomach to get a move on and summon me back to the ! I fear I may burst open at any time. Fancy that, though… four weeks of being in total control, suddenly it’s all reversed? Then there’s the eye operations on the cataracts; I cannot see any better whatsoever? The Audio man hoovered out my ear holes, and I’m just as deaf now? Then, of course, the Catheter bag has been in for a year, and I’m further away from peeing of my own volition now. I can’t! Even worse from, the intrusive tubing into the bladder is doing him and me no good at all. Also, & bandaging for over four weeks now, so no showering allowed, and daily BO to contend with. Also, both legs  are still spouting bloody fluid! I’ll not mention or , or . , ,   , or , , , or even or Red-Eye. The newly discovered , or , But, I’ll not go on about these things, Haha!

I snapped this view of the bottom field just as the rain began coming down again.
I’m beginning to think I may have made a mistake about Surgery Nurse Nicol coming today to see me. It’s getting dark now, and there’s no sign of her yet. I hope I’ve not got it wrong again.
The end car park from the balcony again. The mud may have increased a tiny bit, but not much.
So, the rains must have eased off today.
The bananas are getting black bruises coming through again. So, I ate some of them out of support for the BAA (Banana Anti-Cruelty Association).

Carer Marie checked on some food dates for me today.
Ahem! And that was on just one shelf of one cupboard!

Differences

I missed a few, but then again, I usually do. When I checked the results, you may not believe this, do you know, it only went down again.
Today’s total of malfunctions from the money-crunching and number manipulating Oligarchs of the world’s worst, most incapable,

We’ve been promised some snow and rain this coming week.
Evenings, to be between -3 to -5 overnight. Brrr!

A simple meal for a sanity-challenged simpleton. The Walls pork pies that were supposed to have pickles in them but were pickleless and tasteless. The potatoes were undercooked, and the beetroot was lovely. Most of it ended up in the bin. Flavour Rating: 1¼/10.
Constantly nodding off and jumping awake every few minutes, a Carer arrived. I was in such a state of weariness and tiredness, I think it was …ah, yes, it was. On the chart in the morning, I saw that I’d taken his BP.

May your day be blessed with contentment!
Not for Oligarchs or Parole Boarders, though!

05:20hrs: I awoke, battled my way out of the ÂŁ300, bought eight years ago from the second-hand shop, Harold Haemorrhoid testing, repugnantly beige-coloured, crumb containing, virus-breeding, acne-giving, rickety, none-working recliner, and detached the from and was up on my feet, and doing the balance exercises, within a few minutes. .
The wee-wee in the punch was less than expected, and of a darker shade. However, in the past, I have had it a lot darker on some mornings. So, not too bad.
The right leg bandaging still looked the same colour as the left leg’s skin. Note the long green throw I’d wrapped around my belly and put on under the dressing gown? That’s due to it being so flipping cold without the ankle and leg straps on. The nurse, Sarah, I hope, is coming on Tuesday, to see how the pins are going, so might have to start using the cumbersome, but warm again. Not that I’ll remember with all the medical appointments coming up. Hopefully, my red eye appointment with the doctor, can be cancelled somehow for Monday morning, as long as it continues to improve? It does look a little better this morning more of the white bit is showing. So, fingers crossed it continues to heal itself.
Another messy evacuation was tackled. The passing, I would think, took about five seconds, Eugrh! Hehe!
The cleaning up, took me about fifteen minutes or so. And all the bending down started to activate, but he didn’t have me over. Another   Tidied up a little in the front room. Not much. Don’t want to overdo things, you know. Hehehe! Found the spillage from last night’s exploding bottle of Schweppes tonic water, had stained the carpet something awful! What’s it doing to my stomach lining? You never know; it may even help me with & ‘s hassle?
Off to the kitchen. To get some potatoes in the crock-pot to have later on. I made a mess of taking a photo of last night’s nosh; it didn’t make it to the SD card for some reason. But I did take a photo of one mini-potatoes that I didn’t have the heart to eat. A tiny little thing.

I got the computer on, and guess what?
No signal was available.
After ten minutes or so, one came on.
An hour later, the 6th failure showed up. This time it needed the full treatment to get it back on. Lost the work I’d done by turning everything off. Reset the whatsit box… router, left it a minute, then pressed the rest button and waited in hope. 20 minutes later, it came back on. I cracked on with the Saturday blog updating. Got it done and was about to email the links and it went again. I lost all I’d done on the Email, of course. But, it did come back on of its own accord about an hour later, while I was doing a graphic on CorelDraw for Sunday’s blog.
I hastily for the Email done again and posted it.

Just in time for the dubious financial Oligarchs of again!

arrived. He got the various medicationings sorted out and offered a bit of advice on the computer problems that I was having recently with the maddening problems of Firefox crashing, Norton changing things without telling me, and CorelDraw freezing on me regularly. ‘Always back up your work’.
Finally, after Victor had departed, I got and drank a mug of Glengettie. Hurray! No biscuits were eaten with it, which I felt a little proud about!
After this failure from the famously inept , and another full reset to get it back, the thing went so slowly; it was hard work.
I went back onto CorelDraw, praying that it would not freeze on me again. IT DID! HAD TO TURN EVERYTHING OFF.

Turned itself off. Now when I try to open it, it comes up in a version from 5 years ago. Will not save anything! I could cry. The Internet is down again; just come back on; this may be the last from me… if I can get to post it that is.
All that work I did lost too!

No new graphics, no new photos, no imported things, written word only in future.

Farewell!

Morning…

Kitchen views
Why the difference?

The Iceland order, that I put in for a delivery next Tuesday, arrived today. Thus the incogitable, never-ending, for this lucky young lad, (Hehe!) Cock-Ups began!

Most of the cost went on drink rather than food.
Still, the nurses and Carers will be right for treats over the year’s end.
No, I was wrong; I meant Sainsbury’s, not Iceland.
Helpers & Carers bubble box refilled. They like these treats.

Drizzling this morning. I’ll try to keep my eye out for any of the seagulls that go on the hunt today.

The rain persisted as I went to get the ablutions done.
What a change! Constipation Conrad gets the upper hand after the six-day reign of Trotsky Terence!
The Cock-Ups Continue!

The ablutionings took me well over 2 hours again. All the usual pains and hassles, which you must be sick of hearing about by now, so I’ll not list them. Just mention that the leg’s water geysers were leaking thin blood today?

I got everything needed after a ten-minute search to find the list I’d made and had to rush a bit to get down to the lobby, for the Easy Link bus due in ten minutes. Thoughtfully taking the crossword book with me in case there would be any long waits at the clinic.
The Cock-Ups Continue!

The gal was late arriving, so I got the crossword book out.
But I forgot to take a pen with me! Humph!
The Cock-Ups Continue!

Carole arrived, and we had a natter, as she took the money from my pocket to pay for the trip and got me belt-buckled. And off we started…
But only got about 200 yards, when I realised that I had not taken the hearing aids with me! So, she turned around at the mini-island and back to the flat for me to get up and retrieve the aids, back down and out to the bus again.
The Cock-Ups Continue!

On the ride to the hospital, .
I was taking a photo through the bus window, as we went over the speed bumps on Woodborough Road a little too fast…and started bleeding in response to my bum lifting off the seat for each of the eleven-speed bumps, and thudding back down on the hard seat. Obviously, this did not bother me, an ex-Boys Brigade member, and acne sufferer. Hahaha!
I did manage one more photo.

We arrived just in time for the appointment after all that, but with the currently stinging state of , and , I was now having to put with joining in, so was a little late by the time I’d got into the clinic waiting hall.
The Cock-Ups Continue!

I went to the reception desk and was told, in a voice that threatened no mercy, and little like Clint Eastwood’s through the teeth, ‘Go ahead, make my day!’ So I took a seat. I got the crossword book from the walker… but could I find the pen? No! The Cock-Ups Continue!

I was called in and followed the man through a maze of Victorian passages to his toilet-sized room. He vacuumed out the ear wax; it took him a while. Told me to book an appointment for the hearing test to be done. Thanked him and nervously approached the reception. Then I had a bit of a session, and am not sure how, but I ended up with a letter appointment, for two days time at the clinic… but not for the hearing test, but with a Dementia Team Supervisor? What! I know I was not feeling up too much and at the same time as talking to the receptionist, . But what the hell went on to get me this appointment? Puzzled, I sat down to have a think. While it suddenly dawned on me, I have an appointment with the Doctor on the same day and time as in the appointment letter, and would surely not be able to get a lift with such short notice anyway.
The Cock-Ups Continue!
I gave up, and thought it best to ask the driver of the bus; if they could get me a lift, and then I could cancel, or rebook the doctor’s visit, I’d forgotten why I was going anyway. Then I realised it was time for her to collect me, and made my way outside, taking some photos whilst waiting. She was half an hour late arriving.
Outside the Ropewalk clinic.
As it was a little cold and damp out there, I turned to go back inside to continue the wait…
The Cock-Ups Continue!
As I went through the waiting room door; .
I felt the catheter pouch dropping down my leg, trapping itself in between the trousers and  The Cock-Ups Continue!
It was unknown to me, whether the bag had leaked or the valve come open on my or not, cause I wouldn’t have left the urine if it had… not until I saw it running out on the floor. !
I tried to look casual, as I limped with the three-wheeled walker to the back of the room, then went right, along another Victorian-style passage, and found the sign for the gents. No one was in, and I had a devil-of-job getting the trousers down to get at the  to find no damage or leaks, Phew! I distinctly recall thinking at that time, as I was getting my leg up to release the nearly full bag into the WC… precariously, that not everything I do is doomed. and I very nearly went into a … but cancelled it!
The Cock-Ups Continue!
While emptying the catheter bag, gave way, and there was no avoiding it, I fell sideways… in between two Victorian-styled hand basins, which were sturdy enough for me to use to keep my elephantine body from ending up procumbent. However, and Chloe & Carol were all rather annoyed at my landing on the knees. Showing this in their usual painful style. Then I had to clean up the WC and floor, using up the closet’s entire stock of hand towelling. I cleanedp up the bleeding as best I could, and told a lady I’d used up all the hand towels.
The Cock-Ups Continue!

Red-faced and feeling guilty and a pillock, I went out to the front of the clinic again. The lift had not yet arrived.

Took this shot of the basement from the entrance.

Then the one above & below of the signage.

Interested in seeing the yellow message: NUH Glaucoma Service? I’ll look up NUH…
Ah, Nottingham University Hospitals!

The gal arrived. I was still partly in a… what can I say? Erm, A corroboree, confusion, mayhap even a semi-panic over the visitations calamities that left me a dithering mental wreck. I asked her, stutteringly and rambling if she would please use my mobile to ring to see if they could fit me in for two days time for a lift. It was obvious by her facial reaction that I had no chance, but bless her, she rang them anyway ♥. No-Go!
The Cock-Ups Continue!
She went in with me to explain to the reception chappie about no lift being available. The man was not happy, and I was getting more agitated with things, and so angry that I could not recall what happened during my two unwanted, and prayed I’d not missed anything important, that I need to remember later.

The Cock-Ups Continue!

I shall have to stop here.
May not get back on again.
Firefox playing up AGAIN!

Kara gave me 15 minutes today, I was so confused, I can’t recall anything she said, but know she’s tried to help ♥.
I do recall these oven-cooked Cumberland sausages.
 With caramelised onion! Taste: 9/10!.

It is not a record, but it is still a pathetic oligarchical failing:  As per writing this.

03:00hrs: Worryingly deep-coloured urine today?.

The need for a good ablutionalisationing session was smelt as I passed wind, removed the nocturnal crumbs from the dressing gown, and tackled the escape. That being from the c1968, tatty, scruffy, unkempt, uncomfortable, virus, microorganism, bug, bacterium, bacillus, germ, parasite producing, and disease-fermenting second-hand, eyesorely-horrendously grungy beige-coloured, ÂŁ300, charity shop bought, crumb-retaining, moth-eaten, non-working, itch-encouraging, incommodious, Haemorrhoid Harold testing, catheter tube yanking, recliner. My chicken legs were not looking any worse! Deciding on taking an early morning Sh_ _, shower and shave, I removed diabetic socks from my legs… This was … but naturally, a man of my bravery, healthiness and pain tolerance didn’t flinch and had to keep stopping to catch my breath and cursing at any time. The thought of me taking a couple of minutes sitting there to recover from my efforts is ridiculous.
My chicken legs were not looking any worse!.
Hobbling into the wet room.
I realised I was leaving dirt marks on the floor from the bottom of my slippers…
So, I had to get the slippers washed and left to dry.
It was hard work doing everyday stuff lately, but it gets more complex each day. (Hidden plea for help here… Hehe!)
Cleaning the teeth, unfortunately, left me with , and, not a little pain from the bleeding gums too. The shaving left me with several tiny cuts all around the cheekily growing stubble at the top of the back of the neck.
Showering: A Challenge I did not respond to very well this morning. The first snag was working out the best way to get the feet washed with the minimum danger of falls. I got a bowl next to the shower chair and put some Dettol disinfectant and shower gel in it. Filled it from the shower, and of course, the drain pump started chuntering away because no water was going down the drain at the time…
So cleaning the feet was a rush job. Then, I had to empty the bowl slowly to not overfill the drain flue. Then, I got out of the shower without any slipping and put the bowl away in the corner; I dare not leave it in the shower for fear of forgetting all about it and having a tumble, trip, fall, or another
While doing this, I had to divert to the As much as I was getting chilly sitting there covered in cold water, I had to wait a few seconds to recover from the efforts of encouraging the evacuation.
Getting back into and under the shower as hastily as I could once I moved…
I against the shower chair leg, and as I did this, (I know, you don’t believe me… I’m even doubtful, but the pain memories help) but, with dear giving way at just the wrong moment, she crashed into the chair arm. I got in the chair and spent considerable time recovering, just letting the water ooze over me. That was nice! I had to stand up to deal with the more intimate departments that needed attention, but this was no bother… needed no medical attention, but this was no bother… I also like this statement. I’ll repeat it; intimate departments that needed no attention! I even managed to get dried off with only one mishap: when I got the towel from the airer, I knocked it over. Got dried thoroughly and commenced the medicalisationings..
. Then, I splashed the Brut
aftershave on the neck nicks that were still bleeding.
Med Hydr Tried the new medications for this. Then, Phorpain gel was used on several areas in need of it. , with an extra bit on , as she was being a bit of a nuisance to me this, as she does most mornings.

them both next.
Did the nasal cleaning. And because of the irritation in the and the infested left eye.
Then the challenge of an everyday fear that is done with a certain degree of apprehensiveness, almost dread! Getting my nappy… diaper… Well, Protection Pants on. Which would be difficult enough without having to cope with getting them up beyond the hanging below the knee, tubed! It’s a work of art, I can tell yers! A formidable one! However, I can report for once that there were no or
of any worth mentioning. I still don’t know how I managed it without the usual pain and mishaps?

I left the bandages and straps to soak in the wet room sink. I can dry them later on. Can I use the microwave safely to do this little task? If anyone has advice for me on this, please?

I emptied the wet room waste bin and took it to the kitchenette.
Got the kettle on to make a brew but never got around to it and went brewless all day.
I didn’t even bother to try to take any early morning shots today, not with my recent abysmal record.
SudoIt’s a wonder that I’ve still got any skin left on!
I dabbed some Sudcrem on the forehead, chest and cheeks.
I’ll leave it on for a while to allow it to soak in before rubbing it in. It didn’t work well the last time I tried using it.
Should I suddenly sneeze, the dressing gown, computer keyboard and carpet are covered in lost bits of skin. Devil-of-a-job for me to get cleaned up! Tsk!

I got on with my blogging catch-up, then arrived and got a bit of a shock. HaHaHa! So did I when I noticed what she had seen; I’d forgotten to rub the Sudocrem in the face. Poor gal, what a shock for her. It’s a bad enough face to look at without the cream on the mush, making it more scary for the gal!

Grangnagles!

During one of the multitudinous failures of Oligarchal, conspiratorial, hermetical, and surreptitious, owned , I sorted the waste bins and put them near the front door.

There were still no signs of the owned internet shower’s signal returning, so I ventured into the balcony to take a shot of the end car park. The mud-slide was active this morning.
Took a view of the sky to the North.

The rain was persistent looking today.
Then, a shot of the viewhead, which is to the West.
Followed by a picture to the left, in an Easterly direction.

visited. Had a little laugh and joke before she departed.
I was getting more & more annoyed with the interruptions from Mike Fries, Chief Executive Officer and Vice Chairman of Liberty Global, who took home a $64m salary in FY2, .
I was close to giving up. Hence, I am now even further behind with this blog. 9 hours after waking, and I’m only up to here with it. I keep saying to myself that I will have to reduce the content of this blog, but I do love it when someone says they like it or get a laugh from it. I’m addicted, I suppose? failed yet again, I went to the kitchen to photograph the view. The first one on the right didn’t seem too bad at all to me. So, I tried to get a closer shot of the houses and bottom field greenery.
Well, that didn’t work, did it?
I failed again!
Undaunted, I tried once more in a different shooting mode selected, with .
Humph! Another failure! Time to give up, methinks.
I might try again later.

I realised that I hadn’t had a meal today.
Mind you, I wasn’t hungry at all! That’s not me?

The two last calls of the day from the carers were made by…
Well, erm…Either, or, not in any particular chronological order, and or . I think. I was so worn out, tired and in need of sleep again. I think it was Christopher first, then Benjamin who got the diabetic sock off for me, I was half asleep each call.

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Not a single left! I’m having to keep waking up and emptying the day bag overnight.
Which will help cure the bladder infection, I’m sure!
Just look at the colour of this morning’s urine!
I’m assuming that they are having trouble getting the pouches. But no one has said anything to me.
But 🎵 It’s not unusual 🎵

With the two big leg & ankle straps for both of the, gallons of water, to keep refilling the , and my nibbles all over the room, the place looks like a smidgen ramshackle!

One of my worst-ever shots of the morning view.
.
I think the planet in view, might have been erm… I’ve forgotten the name now. Tim Price in  New Mexico gets some brilliant shots of this planet… was it Venus? Not that you can see it properly in my close-up effort.
You can just about see it in the first shot, very tiny, in the first photo. But I got the shakes on the next one, I’ll try to remember to ask Tim why this happens to me.

My left ankle. No change
My right ankle is much better!
The right leg. Is also looking better!

Morrisons Unisex Protection Pants on today.
Don’t suppose you needed to know that, sorry!

Sister Jane called me on the phone. A good natter, grumps & mutual ailments discussion was enjoyed.

Arrived, and got the leg & ankle straps on for me, no bother!

I was sat-sitting at the computer, with a blank stare on my face and also with a blank mind. I noticed my own reflection on the screen; horrendous it was!
I took two snaps… the first one turned out to be yet another semi-mystery one…
What the heck part of my body, was this above?
Ah, that was me! Hehe!

The Royal Mail delivered the AA batteries that I’d ordered from eBay. It said they were Duracell, but…
they were a Procell Constant brand.

A mug of Thompson’s Punjana tea, in the Jenny-donated China mug. Which was forgotten all about… when arrived. He removed the leg and ankle straps, but of course, he could not attach the , as we’ve run out of the nocturnal bags… yet again.

I took two views of the same area through the balcony windows. Why two? No idea now!

I slow-cooked the redskin potatoes for about 7 hours or so, then sliced them and put them in the oven, to crisp them up. Later, I got an imitation meat pie in the air-fryer.
Overall taste rating: 5/10.

I’d been slightly pea-brained all through today.
Due to worrying about so many things that I have no control over, I suppose. Important to me things, that I just cannot achieve without help!
The fretting and self-condemnationing have undoubtedly made things worse than they were when I woke up.
My confused vagueness of thought did not stop from constantly whittling away at my already minimum confidence. This causes me even more anxiety; It’s not as if I need any more worries, physical or mental hassle, is it? Fears, apprehension and scepticism shadowed by pangs of terrible unfathomable guilt… Or it may be shame. Are enough, no, maybe too much to cope with as it is.

Down Only Seven Times today!

Alla Salute!

The days get harder & longer,
I’m turning into a whinger,
Difficult to wash, not that I’m too eager,
I may be developing ablutophobia?
My broken rotting teeth are acicular,
But the nurses have been avuncular,
Learnt I’ve now got Ideational Apraxia,
(I’ll look it up later…)
Leaking legs, my brain goes into auto-closure,
It’s a battle to keep my composure.
Dark depression lingers… Howsoever…
Later on, I made some Leicester Cheesy potato!

Woke late, nearly 07:00hrs: Mind you I didn’t get my head down until about 04:00hrs, I stayed up all night to get caught up with the blogging. Got the pouch emptied and changed, and needed (I thought) to go to the wet room to visit the Throne. I was wrong!
Only one long blast of wind!

arrived as I was cleaning the blood from and poor battered about … I spoke with her through the open door. She kindly asked if I needed any help.
She got the medications sorted, and we had a natter. I do love a laugh and a chinwag! But, I forgot to ask her to put the leg strap back on for me. I’ll ask when she returns. Jenny also took the washing down for me.

This means that the strap and stocking could be cleaned: bless her. As she was about to leave, the Asda order arrived. A big one, but no hassle about storing stuff away; the majority of the order was Christmas pressies, nibbles and drinks, for the medicos and Carers. She got them in the kitchen for me, not a lot; most of it went in the spare room.

I also got some more tonic and soda water to appease the demands of my non-working bladder.

No wash, no shave, the day was belting passed fast again. And I sank into a ‘Soddit-Mode’, and pressed on with the blogging. With the usual memory losses, mistakes, cock-ups and lack of sufficient concentration.

Unbeknownst to me, the District Nurse came in and made me jump. Hehehe!  This is how the legs looked after a night with no straps on.
Today, I had to have another strap put on the right leg.
which looked like this.
She put some pads on the wounds, before putting on the diabetic decompression sock, and then…
After both straps and socked legs were done…
and now having chicken legs, the new slippers could be got into! I thanked her, and she said that she would be back, ‘Just Like Arnie’, on Friday to check.

A Photo of the Asda bits here, I forgot.

I selected three potatoes, to use later to use making some cheesy baked spuds.

Many more hours were spent without any interruptions. Not that I needed them today. The mind would float away, then the left-leg-up periods. No nodding off at all. Back to the computer, and misspellings, typographical errors, grammatical mistakes, heterography clangers and various howlers flowed. My concentration was minimal. Annoyingly, I had no idea why?
Do you think it might be something with all the nurses calling on me and getting me excited? Haha!

I started an early nosh.
I’d got the spuds from the oven, making a right mess dropping bits of potato all over the floor and treading on them, while scraping the flash out of the husks, into the basin with the cheese in it. Bashed them about and mixed it all up. I added sea salt and no-butter butter as I did my best to blend the mixture together.
Back in the oven to crisp up for an hour, and had another feast to eat! After that, I settled down with my legs and feet up on the Carers chair. Carer Leuman returned and took off the leg attachments for me. Dealt out the medications and off to his home. I thanked him for his help & wished him well.
After he’d gone, I realised that the pads had been leaking. No bother; they soon stopped.

Then, back on with the blogging. Where I am now, at 03:15hrs! Better try to get some sleep in.

Zzz!

I did find it, but it took me 12 minutes. Tsk!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Carer Richard informed me that the latest straps for are to be removed late at night and replaced in the mornings by the Carers; he then took them off for me. The compression socks underneath the straps are to be washed every two days. And , pads or whatever they will be, should arrive shortly, likely on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. There is no news from the Audio Centre about either of the appointments they are making for me to get the ear wax vacuumed out, and ears retested so they can calibrate both hearing aids for me on a third visit.
A phone call (On a Sunday? Oh, no, it’s Monday, innit!) from the QMC Hospital DVT Haematology Anticoagulation Clinic. They said I had missed my appointment… not that I can remember making one? In two weeks, you need to book in with your Doctor for an INR Blood Test. The Doctor has not taken a blood test for me in the last 6 months or longer? A carer said I am nearly out of day bags for my . Someone came up and had a search for some, but no luck. I am somewhat confused now. My In & Out of it spells today were numerous and worried me a smidgeon.
Another short blog, detail-wise. Sorry!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Although it was a good start to the day, albeit later than usual. Excellent coloured urine in the night bag to greet me. Much better!

The two great-unwashed feet. I’ve got a leg strap under the Carer’s table ready to go on the right leg tomorrow if the wounds have healed sufficiently. The Nurse will be coming, hopefully, tomorrow.
I made a mess of the first-morning view photograph taking.
A sad effort. From a tragic, aged, hand & limb-shaking Nottingham lad. Then I took this one of the kitchenette windows with the ledge reminiscent of Steptoe & Son’s from the 1970s television comedy. The white bit on the window is not the moon; it is a reflection of my .
arrived. He looked tired out, bless him.
He got the medications done and then got the black straps back on the left leg for me. We managed a little natter and a mutual moaning session. Hehe!
Afterwards, I actually got the slippers on both feet! This is a Testament to the excellent job done by the convoluted leg strap assembling. Comfortably too! Thanks, Richard!
I got the Carers & Nurses Treat Shelve topped up.
Looks good now. I like to offer a nibble and or drinkie for them in thanks.
I put the waste into one bag and put it near the front door in the hallway… which was a good idea cause I don’t have a back door. Hahaha!

I snapped this view of the late afternoon sky. Bootiful!
I wonder if the streaks were contrails -from planes? Or maybe it was from the much-anticipated and awaited aliens investigating life on Earth?
Back on the computer.
Arrived.
During this, it came to light that the instructions on the packaging of some creams were written and read: To Be Used Cutaneous Only! So I looked this up on Mr Google. “Cutaneously” means of, or relating to on the skin” As opposed to under the skin. So, now we know!
I’m miles behind with the blogging again. But I saw and had to photograph this evening shot from the kitchen window. Some eerie patterning from hours ago still showed high in the sky.
I got a simple meal prepared, some a simple man, me.
Bacon bits were done in the oven, and two cheesy topped cobs were put in. Putting the last two mini croissants to eat after the bacon cobs. With frequent drippings into the lemon curd at hand. Tasty, too! It deserved this worthy Taste Rating of 8.2/10!

TTFNski, Each!

I’m not really scowling in this photo, honestly; I’m not. It’s just that I’d just had an accident in the kitchen, and … well, , and at the same time, I knocked the milk off of the counter and hit my elbow trying to catch it from falling on the floor. I missed, and a splattering of milk was spilt. Bent down to wipe it up before it got sticky, and that set off. Not that it bothered me, of course.
The slip on spilt milk I’d missed got to me a bit.
However, the day was an improvement from yesterday!

It’s not very often that I can say that and be truthful
Even if things did get a smidge confusing later on.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

04:20hrs: I woke with both  and both stinging away at me… but not for long, oh, no. As I lowered the left leg carefully, It was undoubtedly failing that caused the heavily bandaged leg to clunk onto the floor. , followed by a few quietly emitted oaths and curses, as I hit my against the leg stanchion on the chair. I pondered… “Surely this can’t be happening”. But it was!
I got the Germolene from the ottoman, rubbed some in the left knee, and rubbed it in well for a while. The knee was a little larger than when I got my head down last night after doing the same thing, rubbing in the ointment. Took off the , and grabbed , to take this photo of the colouring. Which was not too bad at all.
I gently raised my elephantine body up on its dodgy knees, leg ulcers, with and in both, to catch my balance… I don’t know why I’m not in hospital. Hahaha! Grabbed the wooden walking stick, and hobbled into the kitchen to get the kettle on. Where I took these three-morning view photographs – Gawd! They came out worse than yesterday’s were? What’s the opposite of smug-mode-engaged? I’ve just looked up an antonym… and made a tab to use; !

Yet another photo that I either can’t remember taking or, took without realising that I’d taken it.
Not good, is it?

Eventually, I got the first of the two permitted brews of tea made. Thompson’s Punjana this time.

Sorted out the waste bags, and got them into one large one.
Took it to the front door to be collected by the Carer at a later time.

Then got the daily doses, dosed, and the ointments, cream applications, and medications tackled. Ear drops, eye drops, and eye-cleaning sorted.
Washed the Jenny-Donated mugs ready for the second brew, possibly Glengettie in the afternoon/evening.
Off to the wet room for the first   duties.
Far less rumbling within the innards this time pre-session.
Things seemed to be nearer normal this time… Not that I ever have a regular evacuation. Hehe!
The lovely Carer arrived and I asked her to check the date written on the day pouch. I asked her if she could change the bag, but could not help her on how to do it. She rang someone, Meridian, I think, I could not hear what she was saying.

The man told her the bag was to be changed every month. This left me feeling confused. I felt sure that Kara checked every week to check and see if the day-pouch had been changed? convinced me that I’d got it wrong again. I apologised to for getting things mixed up. A lovely gal. I think I’m losing it worse than usual? I’d have put money on it that I was right, and it should be weekly, and the dried blood from backed me up. “Thunder-Cocker-Upper Inchy” Strikes Again” Hehe!

Galore on the blogging, so I gave it up and did some sorting in the spare room. No lifting or bending, though, as per the instructions and recommendations from Sarah of the Falls & Rehabilitations Team. More bags to go. Back to the mistake ridden-ever correcting the blogging.

The next caller was . Another nice gal. We managed a little natter, leg-pulling and laugh. During which I explained my earlier over my thinking that the was changed every week… And she said I was right!
It’s the entire , tube and all, that should come out monthly; the day bag was to be changed weekly.
We decided that the communication with whoever it was who was rang on the phone was muddled, and the advisor, whoever that was, thought she meant the whole shebang being changed. You know, the inserted tube being removed, Argh! I left off overnight to see if I could manually pee again. Over the last 12 months or so, this has never been the case. Then, a month trial on Finasteride tablets to try and reduce the size of the prostate as a last gasp-chance, and if this does not work, a permanent catheter will have to be fitted. The month trial turned into a 6-month trial; no passing, but still on the Finasteride even now! No signs of any permanent catheter being fitted either. This seemed a logical conclusion to me, and Joanne. We both wondered if they were waiting for me to snuff it. Save them the expensive operation? Won’t keep them long. Hahaha!

I selected the lesser bruised potatoes and put them in the oven tray for baking later. It turned out to be ten hours later as it happened. Tsk!
A snack, a treat, was the next thing I made. Two mini butter croissants, with some naughty lemon curd in a side dish for dipping them into, and the final mug of Glengettie for the day.

As I took this snap of the beautiful sky…
I thought of Mother Nature, and far beyond the sky…
Are there really aliens out there monitoring the earth and its tellurians, especially humans?
We seem to assume that they will all talk in English? Learning it while spying on our planet.
Will their language, to us, sound all gibberish?
Our greed, lust, and criminality make the sick?
Our inventions, Money, H-Bombs, & arsenic?

Will they understand anything oligarchic?.
Spite, hatred, and Jealousy are pathetic!

Are we destroying our own earth, killing each other?
Home to some is a Fatherland or Mother?
Our lack of morals, bigotry, greed & multi-faiths?
Slaughtering the innocents, children & waifs?

The unknown below our ocean waves?.
Going to the moon, some say we didn’t, some did?
Our war criminals who fled and hid?
We free murderers to kill again, wrong, surely?
Families die of starvation daily?
Proletariats, scroungers, people controllers?
Some still believe in help from prayer?
Does anyone on earth care?
They all want more than their share!
Although, to be absolutely fair…
The aliens detected mostly despair,
And said, “Oogle bzz rticklum zare”
Translated: “Sod it, we’re not landing there!”

What a fantastic, beautiful display of clouds in the sky this afternoon.
My love of pareidoliaising was inspired! I saw a frog, nose, fingers, and many creatures with open mouths, and beaks. Took me a while to pull myself away from searching and finding so many things within this view from above.
It’s one of the best, most pareidoliaiable I’ve ever taken… speaking as a committed, dedicated Pareidolianist. I just can’t help myself, Hehehe!

The blogging was not very productive now. Feeling tired and weary. Thus, even more cock-ups and mistakes were being made as I pressed on regardless. I cheated on my two mugs of tea a day… and made a third one. Naughty? Yes! In mitigation, it was not intentional then, as fooled me. But by the time I’d sat at the computer to drink it… the Memory returned and guilt flowed. I thought, well, I’m not throwing it away now, and drank it gladly! I didn’t realise how long it took to make so many errors on the blog!

Checked the spud in the oven. Soon be ready to get them made into cheesy potatoes.

Nightie-Night Sunshine!
See you tomorrow.
Well, let’s hope we do anyway, my friend.
Evening Carer Victor called. Took his Blood Pressure, pulse and temperature. All was fine! ♫ Jealousy, t’was all over my Jealousy ♫. Hahaha!

Made a start emptying the potato husks into the mixing bowl, with some delightful Leicester Cheese to taste.
I got them mashed as well as I could without any major droppages or spillages. Flesh back in the halved husks, with sea salt and not butter, butter. Forked the tops to aid with crisping while cooking. And into the oven on 220° heat, and back to close the computer down. Then, I got the dirty pots I’d made washed with my not-so-secret method: I’d put the dishes in the bowl, baking powder and washing up liquid added, and as the hot water filled the bowl, most of the bits of burnt cheese floated up and out of the bowl into the sink! A tip here: if you try this, make sure you run plenty of cold water around any metal bits in the sink cause it stains it rotten! As I discovered the first time I tried it, I didn’t rinse the baking powder properly. Now, with all my ailments, I also have a horrendously well-staind metal sink! That is impossible to clean off!
Here it is!
Two potato rissoles, and the ultra-tasty, & flavourful, took three hours to cook and came out alright for once, famous throughout the land.. the World, and the Universe are my own secret recipe for Leicester cheesy baked potatoes! Well, my neighbour Josie likes them.

TTFN, each!
