IN ODE
Much to my pleasure and amazement…
No mental/physical pains or abusement!
I thought to depression I was impotent…
Much to my pleasure and amazement…
Realising this may change, just to be expedient,
It did! I suddenly felt enfeeblement!
Dizziness; too weak to feel incandescent,
For around an hour, I was impuissant,
Never before been so suddenly languescent!
Another annoying new pesterment!
I believe I was momentarily solivagant,

Luckily, this ailment was only transient!
Of to do the ablutions, they proved to be sanguinolent!.
Accifauxpas… not through my being totipotent…
Peripheral Pete’s Leg Dance, was persistent…
Shaking-Shoulder-Shirley was intent…
causing me many a razor-
shaving accident!
The shower-power-box was absonant…
After hitting my head on it, I applied urticant!
The day went from pleasant to recalcitrant!

06:30hrs: removed

Waste bags sorted out.

Computer on…

Off to the .
.
I think I had one like this early last week?

Spotted what looked like a cat or dog, in the bottom field…
Could have been anything really?
Although terrible photos, I discerned that it was indeed a cat.

Carer Kara arrived.  I think she pointed out how well I was looking, perky. ♥ and we had a laugh and chin-wagging for a little. As she left the Asda order arrived… Food!
Five carrier bags fool!
The bleach in the barfs was leaking a bit or had leaked judging by the smell.
Ah, grand nosh to nibble! I’m unsure how or why I ordered three packets of ready-sliced and seasoned potatoes?
Got some replacements for the nurses, drivers and carers’ treats shelf in the front room.
Make a great brew of Glengettie tea!

Back on the computer…
So, I watched the start of the football match twixt Spain & Norway. 2-1 to Spain, in between using the computer when , returned.
.
.

Carer Kara came for the 2nd call, and a moment before the gal came in, I’d nodded off to sleep at the computer and didn’t feel very well at all. This time she said how unwell I looked! This was the sudden change in fortunes and health I mentioned above in the Prooemium intro. My balance was all over the place, and memory had gone on strike I think. No pains as such at all, just confusion and disorientation.
I bade Kara farewell and decided that getting on with doing the might help me pull out of whatever it was that had a grip on me. So, I did!
The teeth bled profusely after cleaning those I had left.
The tiny nicks shaving also flowed more blood than usual.
But this blood-letting is half-expected, with the DVT Warfarin INR level so high recently.

The feet and legs were terribly pale and ashen, as mentioned by Kara. So I took a snap after getting out of the wet room.
Headed butting the shower power box didn’t go well. Hehe!

However, I did feel much better by the time I got back to the computer. However…

I’ll get some food cooking then… Tsk! 17:00hrs, and chimed from the doorbell, as in walked the Carer. I was late getting the meal, and he was a little early coming, but no bother, other than the meal was cold by the time he has done his bit and departed. Still, he was kind enough to photographicalise me, pretending to eat the meal. Hahaha!
Despite the lack of heat, I still enjoyed it.
Flavour-Rating: 7.5/10.

I nodded of easily enough, as is usual when I try to watch anything on the goggle-box. Humph!

I was woken up on the Carer’s last call. He put the night pouch onto the. He wrote his notes, during which I nodded off again! He checked the taps and the stove was not left on for me, and I insisted he take a can of whichever refreshment he fancied in thanks.

I jumped awake at 03:30 hours and got up immediately. Fool!

Well, the visit to the produced some action this morning. Fair enough, it was phooey, sticky, falling apart on hitting the water, khaki-coloured mini-torpedoes that evacuated with ease and no pain. Yet somehow produced a little blood to decorate the WC and my bum and legs.
Unfortunately I my toe on the floor cabinet corner when I bent down to clean the blood from the WC. No bother, of course, not for the hero of my sturdy, manly-pain-bearing capabilities. No arghs, cursing or swearing, spitting, growling or self-pity. Well, just maybe the odd cringe and wince. Hehe!
Carer Jo-Anne called the opticians for me to clarify what they rang me about last weekend. It seems my spectacles are ready to collect, and I have to fetch them to see how I go with them, and then they can do a reading pair. From what I recall, the left lens will be apparent, ready to be swapped when, or if, the left Cataract ever gets done. I’ve no idea if this first pair will be distance or a reading lens fitted. If the Blepharitis is not cleared when I get to the hospital for the left eye cataracts to be done, I’ll be refused and go back to the start of the waiting list again. As it took me over two years to get the right eye done, you can understand how apprehensive I am.
Then surprise, surprise, and a Great one too! Nurse Hristina turned up to take my blood today, not Wednesday! The INR level is still worrying them. Far too high! I got the new dosage sheet Yesterday. Far too high.

Night Pouch removed

The legs and ankles were much better this morning!

Trotsky was in charge again!

Taken through the balcony doors and window. Drizzling.

Washed the plates, great!

GOT CARRIED AWAYDoing the day’s blog, I came across a notepad page that was only partly completed; let me spend, wait for it… over 6 hours doing the ode page words! And it’s not finished yet! I simply plodded on uncaringly until the Carer arrived… Tsk!

Got on to CorelDraw.
The flipping day’s nearly done.
Still, I did stop to take some sky photos occasionally.

Photos were taken while Carer Benjamin was here.
Caught Benjamin taking a selfie on the balcony. Hehe!

As of 15@45hrs…

Here are the sky photos in the order they were taken.
The first one.
Above and below from the balcony.
Getting darker earlier now.
Looking almost scary now…
Still Bootiful, though!

Time to get the nosh sorted out… well, it’s well gone the usual time. If I get a crack one, just knuckle and potatoes, methinks, saving some time. That’s a rarity.
No, a sudden change of mind hit me. I had battered balls, bread and peas; that’ll do me. Wonder if I’ve got any crispy onions left in the cupboard? I’ll Soon find out! Nope!
So I added some to my Asda order for the morning.
The nosh was cooked and served.
Nothing special, but So-Tasty!
Flavour Rating: 8.8/10.

Washed the pots; I took care cause carrying the night pouch and can be a bit hazardous. In fact, using Metal-Mickey, helped me avoid a when I against the radiator as I went to take these two early morning photographs of the view from the kitchenette window.
High in the sky…
and down to the houses.

Settled into the £300 second-hand shop bought, c1966. Moth-eaten, cringingly-beige-coloured, grotty, bedraggled, dilapidated, crumb-containing for my nocturnal nibblings, bug-ridden, itch-inspiring, not working recliner. In search of . But he was in a stubborn mood, and it took me a couple of hours to nod off. I noted the time, 03:00hrs, when I knocked a bottle of soda water off the ottoman tray. Used the torch to check it had not burst open and saw the big battery clock. It seemed that seconds later, I was in the land of bliss. Ahh!

Carers called. Nor phone calls, No Texts, no other callers.
And… this is true! Guess what went down only three times in
well over six hours?

Mug of Thompson Punjana tea…
and a pot noodle!

After the midday Carer, Rhamat called; she bought my laundry bag, bless her, as I was about to post the finished blog for yesterday to WP.

Now, time for the dreaded full-service
Shave, shower, nasal spraying, teggies, Germolene, Germoloid, Corticoid creaming of , Eye drops, and . Pain Gelling of , , and medicating the tube that is stuck in Little Inchy’s protuberance. (I cringed when I wrote that, you know!) Then when dried off with the towel, that came back from the laundry still damp earlier, Sprinkle some aftershave to stop the inevitable cuts and nicks I’ll get shaving. A splash-over with the Brut, eye-drops… Oh, I may use the as well… it’s overdue!
I May Be a While... Hahaha!

GC tooth gumI’m back – it didn’t go very well!
Certainly not as planned or hoped for.
① I thought I was in need, at long last, of the . I was wrong. I realised this after about 5 minutes of astronomically induced amounts of spurting (the pot noodle?) winds finally ended. I gave up!

② Got the teeth done; results can be seen above after I’d got dressed, 2 hours later, abluted! Haha!

③ Shaving: I dropped the canister of shaving foam, and it (as dropped things usually do for me) bounced off the side of the sink and fell right on the worst toe possible; My!!!

④ Getting into the bowl of water to do my feet medicationalisationing – I got a !

⑤ Into the shower, got the heat right, and dropped the shower gel bottle. I needn’t tell you what it landed on. OUCH!

⑥ My final occurred; I head-butted the shower power box. Getting a tiny little scar for the cut that I accrued. Tsk!
I did the medicationalisationing without any further injuries being suffered!

⑥ However, there was a late . Getting the Depend Protection pants on, I had a wobble getting the left leg into them. And against the floor cabinet corner… but remained on my feet!

I had to put the still-damp returned dressing gown on, as it was the only one thick enough to wear, as the weather had suddenly changed. The wind was howling now. It suddenly went dark when Carer Benjamin had been here for five minutes. As he left, I took this snap from the kitchen window. As I opened those mentioned above, I thought I would get blown over, so strong was the wind.
Murky?

Later one…
As I began preparing the late nosh…

Nosh Sorted!
Prettily presented plate of provender…

Simply battered balls and potatoes.
No-Butter butter and BBQ sauce, put on each half a potato with a bit of salt and vinegar on the battered No-Fish fish balls. Bootiful! Taste Rating 808/10! Ate it all up, put the empty food tray on the carers table, and fell into a deep sleep! Not for long, though…

Carer Richard arrived to sort me out. Although, at the time, I recall only wanting to get back to my precious, in short-supply sleep. Hehe!
A STROKE OF LUCK! (At Last!).
Tonight, finally, after a week and two days, of farting about trying to get the Blepharitis Gel tube to work properly…
It dawned on my impaired brain what I was doing wrong! How the heck? I didn’t realise it before; it beats me! I’d tried to apply it to the eye pad like you would with a standard toothpaste tube. Then understood I had to press the thingamabob at the top to release the gel. !
Ah, well!

As usual, being woken up again was no longer interested in letting me get back to my much-needed sleep. Humph! I nearly reached a state of stupefaction a few times, but on every occasion this happened, I’d burst awake with jolting, jarring, buffeting, twitch, tremor, juddering, judder! So, I cursed a little and gave up any idea of getting any sleep. And turned on the TV.
To find that replay football matches were on the channel.
This comforted me; the first of the new seasons’ Premiership League game highlights were showing. The first match was Chelsea v Liverpool. I nodded off into the land of nod in the game’s first minute.
Waking up with the regulation shuddering, flapping, and threshing about. Waking as the programme was finishing to realise I’d missed three other matches as they displayed the results as the programme closed

Spent what was left of the morning failing to get to sleep. At least the darned left me alone.

TODAY’S PREDOMINANT PESTERISATIONINGS
This Saturday has been dominated by losses of balance, the left leg giving way – for the few seconds it lasts, it’s as if the leg isn’t there. The
routines have been numerous.
They were pretty lengthy ones as well, nearly had me other twice! To blame, of course. Even more troubling, I’ve been struggling to get words out correctly. The Carers noticed this first. After that, I became aware of it. The brain has been playing tricks… but nothing new, just more persistently.
Memory has been terrible; I was talking to Carer Benjamin, forgetting what I was saying, and throwing in some double-di-gook words. I’m unsure if he thought I was messing about, but he laughed out loud & long. I grabbed the Kodak and took this shot. Hehehe!

My putting the Bleptha Eye Gel in both eyes, was again a struggle for me to get right. At least the Dry Eye Spray one is easy enough to do. Concentration has escaped me again. I’ve lost count of the times I’ve opened a drawer, gone into the kitchen, opened a cupboard… and forgot why I was doing it in the first place.
Other possible handicaps… The urine is not flowing as well as usual. And, I’ve not visited the all day (18:55hrs)
On the bright side, though… erm… there must be a bright side… I’ll make one up, shall I? Oh, no… there was one! England Ladies Won their Match against the Mafia-Drug-Growers, Columbia! Only just mind.
I’m afraid Stuttering Stephanie has spread to my handwriting on the prompt notepad. The worst writing ever, almost illegible!
Ah, well, the photos may prompt me.

Decent looking morning.

Started on yesterday’s blog finalisationing.

Carer arrived. Meds and a mini-natter were completed. I was, stuttering and struggling to get words out, and my balance was terrible getting about. Had a few close calls but no falls.

Back to blogging.
Made a brew of Thompson Punjana.

The third-bash at blogging, and I was already on…

I watched the Ladies World Cup match, Australia v France.
Australia won – GRRREAT!
So was France losing! Hehehe!

Back to blogging again. Concentration shot to pieces with the joy of France losing, I reckon!

Ah, the urine is now flowingeth! Into the wet room to empty out the . Still a good colour!

I went into the kitchen to wash to tea mug. Had it started raining!
Took this shot through the glass.
And this one…
Opened the window for this one.

Into the balcony for this one.
By the time I took this one of the end car park,
the rain had stopped altogether.

Got the Saturday blog finished and settled to watch the England 2 v Columbia 1 result match. Another close one, with Columbia scoring first.Very satisfying result

The third Carer of the day called Joanne. Had a laugh and joke. She also noted I was saying either the wrong words or talking rubbish. Worryingly!

Started this blog for an hour or two. Then got a meal cooking.

Carer Benjamin called. No meds, but he reminded me to put the & on both eyes. Added the without any bother to day pouch for me.
I remembered to ask him to take the laundry bag. He didn’t; with him being a new lad, I don’t think he knew where to take it. I’ll ask the morning carer if it is Benjamin; I hope to be awake enough to explain to him.
He’s a spirited young man. I like him.

After Benjamin had left, sleep was suddenly not an option.

Blepharitis Infection Eye Gel applying problems. brought on a few giving-way episodes on the left leg, which nearly had me over each time. But, somehow I avoided tumbling and having an . A close call though.

The delectable DVT Warfarin Anticoagulation Nurse came to take my blood for another extra INR test. And welcome she was made! “I’m so glad she did!” I happen to have fallen in love with her... but don’t say anything about this, or you’ll have everyone laughing at me! Hahaha!
She helped me by reading the minuscule writing on the  instructions.
Which seemed much more understandable now.
Unfortunately, when I tried it later, things were back to normal. What I am doing wrong is annoying not knowing!
Iceland delivery. That’s three delivered this week, an Asda and two Iceland ones. To replace the stuff I had to dish from the freezer when I left the darned door ajar for nine hours and had almost liquid products in when I found out about it.

After two hours on the computer trouble-free.

The 18:00hrs Carer called. I got the and the put on. The Gel applying, I’ve still not mastered very well.
Turned off the computer…

The final total of the
Failures had reached…

I got the meal prepared and served up!
No fish fish-sticks and fishless prawns. Canned garden peas, nice tomatoes, yellow & red, roast potato chunks done in the oven with olive oils sprayed on them, vinegared and salted on the plate, no sauce needed tonight. I then proceeded to eat the feast… and created a new record!
NEW RECORD!
I was trying to eat while watching the TV… but fell asleep at least five times during eating the food! I might have been more often. Each time I woke up, I had to recover whatever it was that had come off of the tray each time I dosed off, and the tray slipped… Peas went off wandering every time, I was still finding them on the floor that had rolled out of view in the morning. Potatoes, tomato halves too. Amazingly none of the no-fish, fish fell?

The last Carer Call. A were new lads today, so I took the opportunity to ask them each to check the taps, heater and fridge-freezer doors for me. We’ll see.

A final photograph from the kitchen window was taken.

How Gorgeous!
I spent a while on this one.

For a complete change, there was no , gave me a break, and no bother at all! This time is was the eyes that kept me awake! Both of them felt like there had to be grit in my eyes? Every time I nictated after waking up! I had to give up trying in the end. I sprayed some extra on both, but it made no difference; it’s still a painful nuisance this morning. I still think it’s I am applying the wrongly. I must try to get some professional help on this issue. I’m worried that the Cataract operation on the left eye might be cancelled if the infection does not clear up. Sister Jane has the same problem after having her eye done!

FOR THE DAY IN ODE
The keywords for this Wednesday, are…
Moments of acrimoniously,
I had moments of being superbity…
I was baffled by technology…
The EENT, Doctor & Falls team called me,
I was hoping for some sort of theopneusty…
The whole day was tumultuary!
Little did I know then what Thursday would bring me.
No rest, respite; today I thought was purgatory…
My EQ warned me, I’d be turning poorly…
On Thursday, mentally and Physically!
Already my ankle has gone all scabrously…
My left leg keeps collapsing; Peripheral Neuropathy.
Today was bad enough, I have trepidity!
Doctors to see, nurses will be calling…
INR Warfarin level… No, I’ll stop writing…
Thursday night now,  this blogging only just starting!
I can tell you now Thursday was more gruelling,
I thought it was bad on Wednesday evening…

Bad today, Thursday was less accommodating!.
If ever I get time; I don’t like hypothecating…
The left leg gave way again; hospital visiting?
This blog will again be a bit thin…
Sorry, but I’ve got a few some photos to put in.
But no notes to use, just my memory bin!

I do recall nearly taking a tumble when I caught the catheter night bag’s long tube. Hehe!
Parkers below from the balcony.
So a lot of cleaning up to do!

Waste bins sorted.

Laundry.

Heck of a job podding the peas.
One for me, one for the pot…
Should I save some for later?
Not made into the saucepan?
Early meal.
The battered balls had to be thrown away.
I ACCIDENTALLY LEFT THE FREEZER DOOR OPEN FOR NINE HOURS – Had to dish the contents & did an order for replacements for Thursday morning. Aargh!

Oh, missed this morning’s front car park photo off!

Evening shot.

That’s it, I’m afraid.
I don’t feel up to explaining the medical situation, and the time I had to spend away from my Little Flat.
If I get time, I’ll put it in Thursdays… if I get a chance to do one. It’s all going wrong ailment-wise.
Still, I think the nurses and therapy gals will be calling on me soon

I managed not to leave the hot water tap running last night adopted! However, I did leave the oven on a high setting after making the meal later on for three extra hours. Certainly warmed up the flat! I ate the terrible meal and fell asleep in the c1966, £300 charity shop bought, second-hand, wincingly grotty, beige coloured, not working, crumb-covered from the nocturnal nibblings, itch-making, uncomfortable, virus breeding, easy-to-fall-out-of, recliner.
Cock-up with the morning medications. Usually, I’d just take them and swallow them, but spotted what looked like a Warfarin in the pot, and remembered they are nighttime only.
I realised also that the tablet Finasteride, for reducing my prostate size so I might be able to see of my own accord through Little Inchie, is a morning one, but it didn’t look like them? I discovered a strip of Warfarin tablets was put back in the Finasteride box!
Well, at least I know why the DVT nurse, and then the Doctor had called me asking if I am taking the right doses, cause my IRN level was dangerously high – now I know why.
I put the Warfarin back in the Warfarin box. Confusing for the Carers with all the changes in dosages, and change of eye drops. Although, I have to put them in and on myself. I just ask that the Carers make sure I don’t forget to. I got a letter today from the EENT, telling me to make sure I put the Bethpa Gel in twice a day for certain, but not on the day of the operation. “Failure to do this may result in your operation being cancelled by the surgeon on the day”. The presence of Blepharitis increases the risk of infection.

What, me… Worried?
Onwards…

04:50hrs: Sleep was resistant again.
Removed the night pouch, initially with ease…
As I got up right after bending, two of my ailments had a go at me at the same time. and . I ended up falling backwards, onto the £300, second-hand, decrepit, Haemorrhoid Harold-testing, sleep-deterring, nauseatingly beige-coloured, not-working, recliner, with a hell-of-a-thud!

Within a minute or so, I whipped off the dressing gown and had my PPs down. Only to discover that Poor old , onto the Protection Pants, the new dressing gown and trickling down the back of my legs! I used the ready torn-off kitchen towelling to clean things up a bit. No Germoloiding yet, as my plan was to get an early ablutioning session and also needed the Porcelain Throne.
I wrapped the bloodied stuff and pants wrapped in a blue bag and put them in the waste bag. Then off to the wet room.
The saving I thought went well this morning, until I felt the chin and neck… Made a mess of it. Tsk!
Showering, and the blood started pouring again. It reminded me of that horror film, erm… can’t remember the name now. Had a good long clean up, and I enjoyed it too. Glad to say that soon stopped leaking.
Started to dry off, and I thought I heard someone knocking on the front door; went to check, but no one was there. Back in the wet room, I could not find the white towel I’d started to use? Nor my spectacles. Another of the mysteries of Woodthorpe Court, with the hobgoblins, spectres, gnomai, phantasms, ghosts, the grotesque succubae, extraterrestrials, ectoplasm, spirits, or the Fata Morganas, that have been sent to taunt, irritate and terminate my already limited saneness of mind? Where was the damned towel? I thought maybe I’d taken it with me to the door? Went to check, Nope!
When I got back again, I spotted the towel!
Well, without my glasses on, the towel sort of blended into the white of the WC. Haha! Which spurred on the need for the

At 16:50, the caring considerate, compassionate, kind…

Got back online.
For 20 minutes, then…

Failed once again. Weekend innit?

Got the last of the eye treatments done… well, there is just one dose of the spray in each eye to do.

Then I got the nosh sorted out.
It looked okay, and smelt nice… but was
The potatoes were tasteless, with far too much garlic. The chunks were also bland and tough to chew!
Ruined the meal! But the peas were okayish.
The beetroot and tomatoes were grand tasting!
Flavour-Rating: 503/10!

After the last Carer calling…

I went to check on the cooler and taps being turned off,
This turned out to be a bad decision!
I had, what I consider to be one of my worst (Most Painful) ever, . I used so much bad language and got a sore throat afterwards! I’m only joking, I didn’t get a sore throat!) I did take this photographicalisation of the evening view, from the kitchenette window, though.

I was hoping to stay up to watch the lady’s Football Match in the morning. But I fell asleep in the computer chair, waking up to do more on the blog, but this…

Turned it off to watch the TV. I wondered if I’d wake up to watch the football?

More in Sunday’s exciting, incident-filled blog: Heroic deeds performed. Good Luck in abundance! Romance is in the air.
Health Improvements. No Shaving Cuts. No toe-stubbings!
Amazing Joy & Merriment. Contentment…
Oh, alright then…

Cheers mi-dears!

Goodness Gracious Me!
I dislodged my humongous body from the clutches of the c1966, £300 pound, second-hand charity-shop bought, crumb-containing, odour-retaining, Harold’s Haemorrhoid-testing, nauseatingly beige coloured, non-working, virus-breeding recliner, giving up to the chances of ever returning. The rattling in my head from the consistent eased immediately. Phew!
I had planned to get the ablutions and shaving sorted first thing, with a stand-up bath so as not to disturb my neighbours with the noise from the shower… but…

Great balls of fire! pillock  ,
, I could spit! That’s the second night I’ve failed to check the taps and cooker, and lost all the hot water! Both me and the Carer, actually. NO HOT WATER to do the ablutions with. No way am I going to risk carrying hot water about again, after the last scoldings I gave myself, carrying it to the wet room for shaving with. At least it didn’t overflow.

I rose around 02:00hrs and took off the night catheter bag from the .
I had a thirst for a mug o Glengettie tea come over me. This is when I found the hot water tap running cold as you like. Self-condemnation and hatred spouted from my mind and loins, I was annoyed with me! This was despite having a sign up in the hallway opposite the door, that Carer Richard had kindly done and stuck up on the airing cupboard door for me to use to remind myself and other carers. As I said earlier, thank heavens I’d not left the plug in the sink! Could have been a lot worserer, I suppose. Humph! I took these two terribly bad photos of the morning view from the kitchenette window. Then cleaned up the mess in the sink and draining board. I got the waste bags sorted ready, and went to get the computer on… always a nerve-shattering thing, hope that Liberty Global will, might, maybe it’ll work… But No! I should have known better than that, shouldn’t I?
It was not having the quick solutions to come back on this morning. In the end, I had to lose what bit of work I’d done on CorelDraw, WordPress and the Ode – Spit, Spit, Spit!
Turn everything off, DVD reader that’s not right… erm… SD Reader, keyboard, computer and the Liberty-Global thingummy whatsit box and leave things for a while, in the hope that it could come back on in ten minutes or so. I reset the router and hobbled off to respond to the needs of the .
shared a little control with again. Not a lot! The thing that puzzled me a smidgeon, was the three shades of brown in the two torpedoes? One of them was almost black. Still, it made a change.
I got my first mug of Glengettie made and enjoyed it. A lovely strong brew! Have way through gulping it down and chimed out as the Carer arrived for the first visit. It was the new gal, Marilyn or Maria I think her name is. Nice gal; we managed a few minutes of chin-wagging in between. Nice lady.

I pressed on with the blogging but kept feeling guilt and annoyance at having no water, so no shave. You bet your bottom dollar that tonight when the water has heated up, I’ll have nodded off, with me getting up so early in the morning.

This late afternoon, I managed to take two of the worst photos I’ve ever managed before!

Both pictures were set on the ‘Indoor Option’ on the Kodak.
Both, as you can see, came out weirdly reflective, if that’s the right word. I wonder what I did wrong this time?

Made the semi-prepared meal. The spuds were done in the slow cooker, halved and a splatter of BBQ sauce was applied. The fresh garden peas with a bit of mint in them were gorgeous!
The cheese pasties were done in the oven. The tomatoes were halved and liquid salt was added. Nice!
Flavour-Rating: 7.9/10.

I gave up trying to sleep at 05:05hrs and shuffled to the edge of the c1966, £300 pound, second-hand charity-shop bought, crumb-containing, odour-retaining, Harold’s Haemorrhoid-testing, nauseatingly beige coloured, non-working, virus-breeding recliner, to reach down to remove the detach. But it wasn’t there! I was so tired last night, I thought it had been put on…

This left me with a heavily full urine day bag that dropped with some alacrity the moment I’d grabbed . This caused a certain amount of pull on poor Little , via the inserted catheter tube that tried to do a runner. Obviously, a man of my calibre winced-not at the agony. I can endure and tolerate such minor mishaps with ease. I did not flinch, swear or cry out ‘Arrgh!’ at all over the trifling matter. No forlornness or glumness from me.
Off to sort out the day pouch in the wet room. The rumblings from within, made me adopt the use of the toilet seat with some haste. And there I sat, with the crossword book for ages.
CW01bNothing other than large doses of wind were evacuated.
Hehehe!
The urine in the day bag was the darkest it’s been for a while.

To the kitchen and I took these terrible photos…
of the heavy rain.
Then onto the balcony to see how the mudslide was.
Sizeable, cause it wasn’t raining much yesterday.

Did the waste bins sorting, and made a mug of tea, I later regretted having one of the two allowed so early.

Carer Shaquille arrived. Checked out the new eye treatments, the and . He could read the small print, and Chris & I could not last night. I thought it was four times a day for the Spray, and two for the Gel, but it’s the other way round. He did the eyelids like a professional. Sorted out a new day pouch and fitted it, too.
Thanked him muchly and off he went on his rounds.

Got the computer on, and what a surprise.

I had a safety check around the flat when I got back, and the internet was on again. It must have been off for about only 15 minutes. Please don’t tell, the owner of Mr Fries of . It might upset him if he knows.

The Iceland delivery arrived.
Just after I took this later view of the oddly shaded sky.

& Frozen Foods… I’d got them put away, and returning to the computer, I espied the laundry had not been unpacked and hung up. So, I unpacked it & got it hung up!
All three dressing gowns had their sleeves inside out. The shirt and belts took a lot of untangling, too.
But I got it done, and back on the computer.

ILC (Independent Living Coordinators), Oberstgrüppenfuhreress, Warden and Primo Ballerina, Warden Deana came in. Bless her cotton socks. Hearing of my failure to get some cotton pads for using the gel on the eyes, yesterday; she had found a pack at home, and had brought it for me to have! ♥

Then Domestic Assistant Denise arrived. We had… well, I had a natter while she was working. Nice gal.
Back on the computer…
Fancy that!

I titivated the laundry and started a new bag, by into a clean dressing gown. As Denise was about to leave, doing her paperwork, Carer Kara arrived for her weekly financial guidance visit. Be lost without that gal.
As I was leaning forward to take a closer look at some mail she had gathered from the letter box – How can I put it? The catheter tube seemed to twist of its own accord! A little blood was found when I inspected things in the lower regions. I went off to the wet room and got things cleaned up. No idea how it happened? And this caused me to get confused with so many visitors, and my concentration bit the dust for a while.

Kara tried to ring Age UK about two letters sent to me. It took her a long time to get through the automated system in place. When she did, she was told to ring back later on 28th August? Kara was baffled as I was at this?

Then she rang PayPal, which ware suddenly unobtainable. No joy with phoning them. But she knew the problem, they had the wrong mobile number for me. She will try to find a way to contact them for me.
What a crazy day!

I used the Deana-gifted eye pads to gel the eye.

Before the rain returned, the sky was wonderful.
The Citrus Way car park.

I got the nosh tended to.
Photoed it when ⅔rds of the way through eating it, and Carer Chris called on me. I was just about to watch ‘Heartbeat’ as well on the goggle-box.
Although I was keenly aware that I would fall asleep at the first set of commercials, as per usual. I was well drained by then, and could not hear a lot that Chris was saying to me, as he seemed to find it hard to understand what I was saying. It was a bit surreal, really. He said he was doing the last call later. I finished the meal in between medication taking.
Put the tray on the Carers desk, and had to get up when Chris had gone, to empty the .

As expected, I nodded fitfully off when the commercials came on. I took the plate and cutlery and put it in the sink, with baking soda, bleach and washing-up liquid, to soak and free the gunge from the oven tray.

Very early last call from Carer Chris, about 08:35hrs as I recall. The chime rang out and in rushed Chris. He almost forgot to put the night pouch on, but amazingly I remembered to ask him. Off like a shot the lad perused his other duties, I told him to take a treat-can or bottle with him.

Sleep was no longer an option; all this being woken up breaks the pattern methinks? Laying there waiting for to return… and !!! I suddenly feared that I had left the washing in the sink with the hot water tap running – and found that I had!
No hot water for a late-night shave! I was going to have one cause I couldn’t get to sleep!
Change of plans, then!
I took this photograph of the moody-evening sky.
Bootiful!

I clambered back down in the £300, second-hand, musty, Haemorrhoid Harold Testing, cringingly beige, crumb-covered, not-working, rickety recliner.
It must have taken hours for Sweet Morpheus to enfold me. None of the , which I thought would do in my sleep again, as it has for several nights now. It was so easy to nod off… but it felt like every time I did, I was jumping awake within minutes, repeatedly!

Humph!
