GM L 0.0.130bl02:35hrs: Once again, I awoke, with a vagueness, an opacity of thought. Yet within a few moments, lucubrations started forming, plans laid and made, ideas considered within my grey-cells. My clinomania encouraged me to remain laid there, on the recliner. Thinking, planning, but without any logicality or precision. Which didn’t last for very long though.

I felt the cold draft coming in from the balcony door I had left open. The brain reckoning stopped. The need to escape the warm clutches of the quilt, and get up to close the door took priority. I was being sensible and taking my time in getting up, but the cool breeze, made me throw caution to the wind. I was fortunate in getting up, grabbing the four-pronged walking stick, making my way to the door and shutting it to, then needing an urgent wee-wee! All, without any toe-stubbings, dizzies or knocking over anything from the Ottoman! Smug-Mode-Adopted!

WD 0.0.0 (1) To the wet room and had a totally different style of wee-wee this morning. A first, a new style! Oh, yes! A PAVCT (Painful-And-Various-Coloured-Trickling) wee-wee! Amazing, it started off orange, then cream, and the last few trickles 5Fri02were a cloudy-grey! Crunggleisations!

WD 0.0.0 (1) I did notice the right-knee seemed to have gone out of sync, deformed a bit? But, t’ was of little concern, as there was no pain from it, apart from the Arthur Itis usual. Then I thought, are NN’s (Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters) out of actions again, not passing the nerve-ends messages to the brain, and will I get electric-shock like pains if it does belated get the information across? Tsk!

WD 0.0.0 (1) Perhaps, it could be a dirty-great giant alien worm lava, whose egg had been laid in my body, and was fighting his way out? Or a mutation of the Coronavirus? Maybe NN’s have died altogether, I have multiple broken bones, and don’t know it because the neurotransmitters are kaputt? Hahaha!

And to think, the Government is working to keep people busy so they don’t get bored being stuck at home, Hah! Never get time for a dull moment here!

Ah, my uneducated but fertile mind kicked into silly-gear: If there is a way to pass on Peripheral Neuropathy to folks, then let them have a stroke, and they will not be bothered about the virus then. They’ll have enough on their plate just getting through day-to-day? And, what am I ranting on about?

5Fri03Off to the kitchen, and got my breakfast. The BP Sys was down from yesterday, which was encouraging.

WDP 002WD 0.0.0 (1a) I was washing the mugs and mixing bowl in the sink, and got a visit from Shoulder Shuddering Shirley. Which moved my arm under the running hot water tap – the nerves were working then, cause it made me jump, and whip my arm away from the water; hitting the back of my hand on the corner of the bread bin. Broggleknockersworth!

To the computer, and made up a template. Then started to update the Thursday blog. Got the post sent off, emailed the link and went on Pinterest. Stopped to make a brew. Back to the computer, onto the comment section on WordPress. Tim Price informed me that he’s had a link talk to someone at WordPress, and they are going to force the new block editor on everyone. But there should be a way within the programme’s workings, of going back to the old editor. Ha! Me, learn how to do that?

Then I spent an inordinately long time on TFZer Facebooking, happily! Then set off to get the ablutions done.

5Fri04WD 0.0.0 (1) The need for the Porcelain Throne arrived. The evacuation was similar to the last two days ones. Start, blocked, do the crossword book, suffer the pain, appreciated it when things start again, and finish the session, with an exclamation of pain and relief!

5Fri05WD 0.0.0 (1) I did spot some new blood spots or papules on the left leg as I was crosswording. Ah, the mysterious wonders of Woodthorpe Court. The ghosts, hobgoblins, boll-weevils, aliens, gremlins, karakia-cursing entities. The materialisations, poltergeist, lemures, wairuas, kehuas, and manifestations. That permeate, pass through the pores and 5Fri06interstices of space, through the time-continuum. Usually, without rupture or displacement within the building. To cause havoc, fear and frustration, as they dislodge time itself, in their aspirations and skulduggery, to complete their given by Satan, ‘Let’s Piss-off Inchcock’ mission?

Hey-ho!

5Fri007cHowever, not-withstanding and apart from that, the ablution session was one of the best for months! One knick shaving, only five dropsies, and three of them were the min-soap tablet. No stubbed toes, not knocking anything off of the floor cabinet… no sorry, I did knock off the Daktacort cream, sorry about that inaccuracy. Olive oiled the ear-drums, Germoloided the piles, and Saccades Sandra’s drops in the eyes. Washed the spectacles, and went through the unpleasurable, delicate, always painful job, of treating Little Inchies fungal lesion

I got myself smelling half-decent, medicated things and got some clothes on. I made up two small black waste-bags and hobbled to the chute room with them.

4Thu15Back to the apartment, suddenly remembering I had some of the San Benedetto Prima Spremtura Clementina (Clementine juice) arriving today, 24x 300ml cans. I have to say, I adore the taste. Not too fizzy, not too sweet, but I find them very refreshing.

I looked at the Amazon tracker (right), but it seems like it’s going to be a late delivery, this time. It hasn’t even reached the dispatch yet, let alone out for delivery!

I suppose this means another miserable night for Inchcock! Globberations! I’ll have to not watch telly, cause I have to use the headphones, and cannot hear the Intercom or door chimes when I have them on. So, it’ll mean me staying up and trying to stay awake long enough, and I do get grumpy with myself when I am prevented from sleeping. It’s hard enough to drop off as it is. But, you can be sure tonight, I’ll nod off after staying up so many extra hours waiting for the cans to arrive. Still, serves me right for ordering them. Hahaha! Grumblegollocks!

I’ve still got a few left in the fridge if anyone fancies popping over? Tsk! Oh, I forgot, I’m not allowed visitors, cause of my High-Risk status! Clapbogsworthyness!

Ah, well, I’d better get on with doing some more graphicationalisationing then.

5Fri08WD 0.0.0 (1) Gawd, it’s going so slowly, Shoulder Shuddering Sheila, and Dizzy Dennis are the main culprits. Only got three graphics done, and I’m about to give up.

I came across some disturbing news while searching for facts for the blog. Nottingham is bucking the trend on Coronavirus and has had an increase in infection and hospitalisations.

Oh, dear!

5Fri09So late now, but I dare not nod-off, or I may miss the deliveryman. I’ll have a look at the tracker, hang on a sec…

WD 0.0.0 (1) Blimus! It’s not moving at all, over three hours ago, the tracker reads the same! Not even reached the despatch warehouse. No way it’ll get here before 20:00hrs. Gits!

I wish they’d just tell me it’s not going to make it today! But no! Muggins here has to stay up, just in case it does. No chance to listen to the TV or radio. I’m bound to nod off and not know if it has been or not! But if the dispatch is in Leeds, how can they make it tonight? I do not want or need the stuff today. Initially, they told me it would arrive twixt 18th > 20th… I may have got myself in a muddle here, I’ll have a look at the calendar.

5Fri10WD 0.0.0 (1) Well, I made a right cock-up over the dates! Brambackleshittums! Cracklepackers and Blockstooum!

According to the last eta given me, they are due next Thursday, Friday or Saturday?

I’m so confused now, but it definitely says arriving today by 8 PM on the tracker!

I’ve got to stay awake somehow, but fear it will not happen. I wonder if Amazon has made an error somehow? Or, has the lorry broke-down? Or the driver been arrested? Perhaps Aliens have landed fancying a drink?

Just had another decker at the Tracker, still not moved at all. I could spit! Why me every time? I’m not a bad or naughty boy! Hehehe! Sodwrangles!

I just went to put the kettle on, and the trees in the bottom field and along Chestnut Walk, look in danger of being uprooted! So violent was the wind!

Amazon arrived? It was to Thompsons Punjabi tea, 6 boxes! Marvellous!

5Fri13

5Fri09But most confusing. According to the Amazon email, it was the Clementine drinks that should be coming?

I did another tracker check. Obviously, the San Benedetto was not going to arrive. A mistake had been made by someone other than me for once, Amazon!

WD 0.0.0 (1) As I was putting away the tea bags in junk-room-two, Dizzy Dennis caught me out as I was stretching to reach the drawers, and over I went. Luckily, there was not enough room between the boxes that had been waiting five years to get sorted out all over the room, which broke my fall!

WD 0.0.0 (1) As I struggled to get near something solid to support me in getting back up and haul my onerous body from the floor, I could not reach the stick from where I landed. So, crawling through the rubbish to retrieve the stick… I found what I had done several searches for last week, but couldn’t find – Two packets pf Thompsons Punjana tea bags! I did feel a fool! Well, I’m stocked up for life now on the best tea bags in the world (Well, my favourites), Glengettie (Nine packs x80), Glengettie Gold (Two packs x80), and these, the best of the three, Punjana! (Eight packs x80).

5Fri11A perfect overloaded stock, suitable for a sinensophile, come tea-sommelier as me. Hehehe! But the confusion caused by all the wrong indications and dates from Amazon’s emails will probably mean I won’t live long enough to drink them all. But, I’ll do me bestest!

Got some Hickory in the beans and franks in each saucepan. There had to be something wrong with the new Hickory, and I soon found out what it was. It states clearly that a good shaking of the bottle is needed before use every time.

WD 0.0.0 (1) Well, the seal and cap on the bottle leaked when I shook it! Shame, cause it is a great tasting flavouring. It didn’t half take some getting off of my hands though. It went on the jammie bottoms and stomach too. Tsk!

5Fri14Nosh at last. Baked beans and German Franks with Hickory, a few mini-tomatoes, three small slices of bread, a lemon mousse and the Clementine drink for afters.

Taste-Rating: 9.2/10 Highly acceptable!

I got the pots soaking afterwards and settled down to a disturbing evenings rest. I wasn’t sure if the San Benedetto would or should be arriving, so I tried to stay awake a little longer…

ZZZ!

GMX06a03:25hrs: I stirred into a loose form of pretend-life, and recognised that the need for the Porcelain Throne was somewhat urgent. Without much thought or common sense, I attempted straight away, to remove my overly-stomached torso from the £300 second-hand recliner.

This was one of my more painful mistakes, but there was a more severe one to come yet! Oh, lucky me!

WD 128.0.0 A hard truth to put into understandable words, but I’ll try my bestest, such a lot of calamities came within seconds of each other.

  • As I prised my lump of meat up, I leant against the arm with the right hand, stick in the left, the arm slipped off of the chair, and I plump back down again.
  • The bleeding from Little Inchies fungal lesion and Harold’s Haemorrhoids were instant! Warm, wet and painful!
  • A small silent curse and questioning of my parentage, and I tried again. The pain in the overgrown nails on the feet almost had me over as I tried to stand on my heels. But the four-pronged walking stick prevented another sprawling of my Hindenburg-dirigible sized, but a lot wobblier, torso.
  • No time to gather my senses and balance, I made my way to the wet room, fearing I might be too late, as the innards churned.
  • I even got a bit of a move on; and clouted my left elbow of the corner of the doorframe as I got to the WC room. It was almost like an electric shock.

WD 128.0.0 Inside, I dropped the jammie-bottoms and PPs, and down on the raised disabled Grumpy-old-git’s seat. And it was for certain this time, that Trotsky Terence had left the field clear for Constipation Conrad to take over again! I think it felt more like concrete than ever before. But, to be fair, there was minimal bleeding considering the falling back down in the recliner accifauxpas. I took me a long time to force things along. Then, the worst job, cleaning and medication the fungal lesion had to be done. A delicate job indeed, one error and the flood of red stuff flows with a venom. However, uncomfortable as it was, I resisted rushing things, and they all came out okay. Phew!

4Thu01Off to take the medications and make a brew, and the letter that arrived last night was perused.

A good idea that is, a picnic on the flat balcony, and a chance to wave from a  safe distance to other tenants, that I haven’t seen for weeks, with another new sentence from the Doctors for 3-further months imprisonment and isolation, will be okay.

As I got back to the junk room to turn on the computer, the lousy, annoying, never-ending noise from ‘The Hum’ was as loud as it’s ever been. Drives you potty! The Governments best scientists can’t find out what it is caused by. Mind you, they are struggling with Coronavirus pandemic at the moment, so. With all the millions of people staying at home, I would have expected more of them to go mad with having the excruciatingly disturbing ‘Hum’, for 24/7. Hehehe!

I pressed on with making the Template for this blog first. Then went on to updating the Wednesday blog. Got it finalised and sent off. Then Emailed the links. Then on WP Reader. Pinterested some snaps.

Then, got on with the ablutions. All going very well indeed. Up to taking the shower, only three dropsies! Razor, shaving foam, and soap. A sensational start to the session.

I got under the shower and saw some new mould marks near the floor. Bear in mind, I did not have the glasses on, of course. So, I grabbed a can of Cif 100% Mould Remover (I thought at the time, anyway) and sprayed it on the wall and floor. Started showering, and stopped to rinse away the soaking spray.

4Thu02WD 128.0.0 Oh, dear, stinging pains from the stomach? I investigated the problem, and saw some odd coloured stuff running down the overweight tummy? I soon realised when I put my glasses on what it was. (Impetigo Imogen rampant this morning?)

WD 128.0.0 The colour was the same as the mould remover I’d just used!

WD 128.0.0a4Thu03 Then, I realised I had not used the Cif 100% mould remover, I’d used Cif 100% Oven & Grill Remover! It did sting a bit! It might claim to be a Perfect Finish, but I saw nothing on it about warning of the bottle having a tendency to leak! Cholericalisations, What a plonka! Hahaha! I had a good long spray around from the showerhead of me and the wet room. The pain dissipated, but it left me with an infuriatingly annoying itch!

Still, it could have been worse.

I got the medicating of all things in need done, olive-oiled the earholes, Phorpain gelled the knees and toes. Yes, toes! Not easy using the picker-up so I can reach the toes, I can tell yer! Hehe! Aftershave applied, body spray and even a slash of Au de Caloone… no, that’s not right. I’ll nip and have a look at the bottle, hang on a second or two… Got it, it was eau de toilette spray.

Got dressed, shame really, that means more handwashing to do. Har-har!

Made up and took some black bags to the chute. The flaming toes are hurting more and more. Humph!

Hoping to get the electric can-opener and some more black bags delivered today from Amazon. Even more important, I pray that I will be able to operate the machine. Cramps and RAI (rheumatoid Arthur Itis), can cause problems enough, but when Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters nerve end die, it can be dangerous with the usual hand-operated can openers. The Warfarin levels are high too, which means bleeding can be a bugger to stop.

4Thu03aI made a brew and had a look outside. Some dogs walking their owners were about, so I got the camera to try and take a few shots. The dogs were a bit too lively for me to catch a photo of them with their owners.

Until a couple with some older woof-woofs came along. I see these dogs regularly, it looks like the larger, older one has arthritis or something like that. But he still does his best to keep up, bless him.

Then, as I was giving up, I spotted a lone crow on the bottom field near the tree copse and set about trying to get a decent shot of him for Lona, a gal on the Troll Free Site, who loves crows. As you can see, with him (the crow) being lively, and Nicodemus’s nerve ends letting me down, it was a struggle to get any shot of the bird at all. My best three efforts are below, I got a few shots with no bird many, one with part of him, and finally managed one of the carrion-crow. Then he flew off.

4Thu07

I checked on the tracker about the Amazon things, it indicated today twixt 16:00 > 20:00hrs. Then I updated this blog.

Then got a template for the morning made up. Then I set about getting some graphics made up. Things went okay with the nerve-ends. (Smugness Mode Assimilated!)

4Thu23As I checked on the potatoes in the slow-cooker, the intercom burst into life. It was the Amazon delivery of black bags and the electric tin (can) opener. I pointed rolled a can of G&T to the chap, and he was very pleased with it, and the genuine thanks I gave him.

The first thing needed, was my learning how to use the machine. The guide book was in too small and feint a print to grasp all of it. But I gave it a go on the large (400g whatever that is) can of garden peas without a ring pull on it. I observed the bit of plastic tubing on the blade in time and removed it. I wasn’t too confident I’d set it up properly, but it worked well. The tips that Sister Jane gave me earlier on the phone, were used and all went okay. Thanks, Jane.

4Thu22Having got the peas in the saucepan, I set about making up some black bags. The roll of sacks in my hand in this picture contained 200!

So you can tell they were a little smaller than I had hoped. Humph! On the other hand, they were stronger than the ones I had in stock Swings and roundabouts? I made up two of the old bags and one of the new, this confirmed the new bags being stronger but no thicker. So, maybe they were worth the extra cost? Hobbling was so painful, with my trying to walk on the heels to relieve the pain from the long toes, this caused balance difficulties, IU must have looked a sad sight.

I took the bags to the waste chute and returned to collect the recycling box and bag to take down to caretakers room.

As I was getting out of the lift on the ground floor, I met Angela’s Roy (15th floor). The man kindly offered to take the bag and box to the caretaker for me. Which was such a kind gesture, as he saw how I was struggling to walk. I thanked him and explained that I needed to walk, or try to, or else things would freeze-up. He laughed, which cheered me a little.

I got to the caretaker’s room, but Robert was out and about, so I left the big box near his door. Hope he doesn’t mind.

5Fri33Back up to get the nosh sorted. Very tasty. Flavour rating of 8.8/10, the potatoes that the Government had kindly given me in the food parcel, were excellent, slow-cooked with a drop of balsamic and malt vinegar added. The flavour soaked in well with using the crock-pot to sort of marinating.

As I washed the pots, and then me, thoughts turned to will I be able to sleep, the mind was a little active, churning over.

I rang Deana again, to ask her to cancel the Nottingham City Council food parcels, but the phone died on me after telling me ‘Not available’. I bet the ILCs are getting more stressed than I am. All of us to bother about, and their own clan too!

Got settled down, and watched To the Future 2 on TV. I’d seen it before, just as well, cause I kept nodding off every time the adverts came on.

When it was finished, I recall thinking, ‘Hello, Toothache Tim seems to be starting again’, and then a beautiful blankness for five hours of uninterrupted sleep! Yeehaa!

Keep safe, folks!

GM07RWD 0.0.128A wd 0.0.128 04:00hrs (The latest getting up time for months): I stirred and waited for the brain to catch me up. Which it failed to do in time apparently. Cause as I began to manipulate my grossly overweight-stomached body from the recliner, ‘Thud-thud’, I ended up on my knees! Fell off of the c1968, rickety recliner, knocking the swivel chair over to the cabinet as I did so. Which sent the nibble pots off of the arm and rolling all over the floor. The knees were stinging, caught my head against the other chair arm as I twisted in a vain effort to stop myself going down, and a few selected naughty words were silently muttered! (I hope they were silent, anyway) I crawled on all fours to gather the nibble-pots, the yoghourt coated cashew nuts thankfully, didn’t burst open! Phew!

I tackled the job of struggling to get back up, in an almost nonchalantly, blasé, laid-back manner, and I was seated back in the recliner again within a minute or two! Yes, I know, it surprised and shook me too!) I stayed there to receive a brain-storm for a few moments. Not the usual self-recrimination, hatred, and confusion this time. I merely accepted the incident, felt thankful that it was not worse, and got the taste for a mug of tea! (Honestly!)

4Thu01When I got in the kitchen, I spotted the moon was out again. But, being so much later than yesterday, it was more distant and further to my left.

I tried my best to get the lights below in the shot I took. I took me about five efforts, this was the only decent one out of them all!

I found a certain degree of, well, almost confidence creeping in this morning as I made the brew. I was singing to myself and whistling in between? I’d coped with the earlier Whoopsiedangleplop and Accifauxpas with no bother. I was feeling upbeat, and this worried me a tad!

My EQ told me that things were going to get hectic. No reasons or outcomes. Just things were going to get frantic, and soon! A shudder went through my body, and I foolishly ignored this warning and carried on singing to myself, as I took the medications, and took the tea with me to the computer. I did feel what must have been close to contentment and relaxed with it! This is not natural for me!

4Thu05My first job was to make up the template for today’s blog, which took a long time. Thanks to Shaking-Shoulder-Shirley and Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters going off and on-line at will. Got it done, and checked online for the virus figures. Not very good.

Then looked at the Emails, and sure enough, an Iceland order was arriving today, twixt 15>1700hrs!

I decided to get the ablutions done next, as with my getting to a semi-live state, so late, it was now gone eight! (No charge for the poetry. Hehe!). I put a long-sleeved t-shirt and pair of socks to soak while I got the shave and stand-up wash. Off to the wet room.

4Thu03WD 0.0.128A As I got in the doorway, the need for the Porcelain Throne arrived, it couldn’t have come at a better time! But it was again a start-stop operation.

Which let me have another go at the crossword puzzle solving. I got a few as well!

WD 0.0.128A When things started moving again, just like yesterday, it was ‘Klunk’ and all over and done with. Apart from the cleaning up, of course. No medicating, not with me about to have the stand-up wash and shave. The doing of the teeth, ave just one dropsy, the toothpaste. No cut gums this morning. The shaving was a little more accident-prone, though. Dropsies included: Shaving foam can (2), razors (6), and the after-shave bottle that I was using to stop the (3) cuts bleeding. However, no toe stubbings, and the sock-glide, I laughed at! (I didn’t put any socks on, Hehehe!) Most of the dropsies were caused me Nicodemus’s failing nerve ends.

Medicated the areas in need, olive-oiled the ear holes, Saccades sprayed the eyes, got the Brute and deodorant applied. One blessing here was that Little Inchies fungal lesion had only bled a tiny bit. Ah, nice!

4Thu04But I still felt in a perky mood! I dried off and got dressed, all bar the socks, and went to get the handwashing done, wrung and hung. For some reason, the ones I did yesterday still needed more drying time?

WD 0.0.128A You can see in this photograph, the diamond strengthed leakage from the air-vent, that the Nottingham City Homes maintenance man left me with on the wall years ago now. And it ran down and hardened all over the electrical socket! It still pees me off when I see it every day.

4Thu15I got the black bags sorted, replaced the bags in the waste-baskets (4), and took the full ones to the waste chute.

I spotted the new to me, but it would be, my not having been out for so long, a sign asking for only one person in the lift cage at any time.

When I returned to the apartment, I thought I make another brew, and try to drink it this time. I took another Co-codamol that a mystery resident had so kindly given me, to counter the toothache I felt coming on again.

4Thu10a

4Thu16There are plenty of aircraft/jets out today. How do they keep to social-spacing in them, then?

Back to the computer, I’ll get the thing started eventually, Humph!

WD 0.0.128A ♫ I only want to be with you ♫ rang out again. Looks like my EQ was right, doesn’t it?

It was Riechsfhúreress and Catwalk Model Warden Deana. She was handing out Easter Eggs from the Nottingham City Homes, for everyone. Bless em!

4Thu19dWD 0.0.128A I got back to the computer, and sat a moment, wondering if using it would bring another interruption. Just as the now even more familiar, ♫ I only want to be with you ♫ rang out again. It was caretaker Robert, with a big bottle of milk and a loaf of bread for me! I thanked him muchly for the loaf and explained that I have plenty of milk in at the moment. Slipped him a G & T in thanks.

WD 0.0.128A Back to the computer, I typed maybe five words, and the landline flashed and rang-out! It was a chap, this time from the Ingeus Diabetic course runners. He went through all what the lady did yesterday. Nothing really sank in, the line was that bad and with my hearing, Tsk!

WD 0.0.128A At last, I made a start on this blog. For about five minutes, and the landline flashed again!!! It was the man from Direct Help. I explained that is was a fortnight ago when I spoke with the lady, and things have improved since. As I have got through for an Iceland order delivered since! With the help of Jenny, I have some stuff arriving Sunday, I think, that will hopefully fill the fridge and freezer up. So there is no requirement for help now, there was three weeks ago, but no one called as expected. So, I should be fine for a while. I told him of my five-week wait for the Morrison order, that’s due a week on Sunday! He told me to ring him back in a fortnight if I needed any help with shopping then. I asked him for the telephone number. He seemed surprised that I didn’t have it on my phone. He gave it to me, anyway.

4Thu19EWD 0.0.128A On the computer, once more. And the intercom flashed! It was the Iceland delivery that I can’t remember ordering!

WD 0.0.128A Now, my friendly, warm, upbeat mood was changing.

WD 0.0.128A I got yesterday’s blog sent off, and made yet another attempt as doing this update. Guess what? The landline lit up and sounded again!

It was the cat-walk model and Warden Oberstgruppenfhúreress Deana. She had some questions that needed answering for Nottingham City Homes. I don’t know how the ILC’s (Independent Living Coordinators) are managing with all the extra duties and hassle they have to put up with, Bless em all! I got myself very confused, and being so tired again, things weren’t sinking in, well they were, but not staying in the memory bank!

WD 0.0.128A I got back to the computing, and the dreaded, feared, damp, and warm sensation spreading about in the lower regions was sensed! Botherations and blasticulisations! Little Inchies fungal lesion was bleeding! So, off to the wet room again, for cleaning and medicationalising.4Thu14

The task was more manageable and less painful than I expected, for it had not dried on, much less hassle! I had a wash afterwards and noticed that the old ankle scar looked like it wanted to return again. (Dangwangling, Dangwangles!)

I gave the hands another really weep clean. So much so, the yare getting all wrinkly again. Tsk!

4Thu13

And, how can I get some more carbolic soap? It was hard enough to get before the lock-down and self-imprisonment! (Gribbledockends!)

I went to make a brew, and I noticed a man and his dog down on the bottom field. It was different, and funny this time!

4Thu19c

The man threw something, a ball I imagine, but this dog was not having it at all! The hound plopped itself down on the grass, with no intention of moving! Hahaha! The chap could not get the animal to move at all. He got his mobile out and made a call. I wondered if he was walking the dog for someone, and calling for advice? A few possible funny scenarios went through my head.

WD 0.0.128A Then, ♫ I only want to be with you ♫ rang out from the door, again. Unbelievable! It was a delivery man, I didn’t see him of course. But there was mail been delivered, and a box on the floor.

The reading of a letter, pretend signed, by Boris, while the poor bloke is suffering in the intensive-care ward, was a strange thing. To me, anyway. Good and bad news from the blood results. Good, in that with it being Bank Holiday, they always leave the next test for longer. This time, it is not until the 21st of April. Which means, my Blood Vampire Angels will not be seen until then! Sob, Ululations, & Woe is me!

Finally, I got this post done as far as here. It only took me fourteen hours, as well. Humph!

At last, I got the Iceland order looked at properly. Their offer of two boxes of Gold corn flakes at £1 off for two, I had apparently taken advantage off. I vaguely recall thinking that if Jenny didn’t want them, she would know of someone who would, Nora perhaps? I gathered the things and bagged them, then called Jenny, to tell her I would drop the bag off at her apartment, in a few minutes. Which I did. It felt odd, after such a long time, to use the lift again, almost scary! Haha! If Jenny does not want anything in the bag at all, it won’t matter, cause I know she’ll soon have some worthy person to give the milk, Cereals etc. to, who deserves a bit of help.

4Thu19gBack up to my flat, didn’t anyone out in the building at all going either way. It felt so eerie, and reminded me of my recurrent dream of being chased and shot at in a crumbling building, by gangs of unpleasant persons.

I took a picture of a panorama shot of the scene 4Thu19foutside.

A man and his dog, sensibly kept their distance from the two young girls in the bottom field, as it looked like they were asking for directions.

I’m feeling weary now, but the toothache is no worse, the coughing has eased, and my mood was getting back to a good one.

Fodder decision time now. I chose to have bacon sarnies. Mainly to use some of the crap, watery, tasteless bacon I’d got! Tsk! I might have a tin of tomatoes with it instead, then use the bread to dunk with. Or something else? Hahaha!

I’ll be back in the morning to finish this blog off, I hope.

I’m back!

4Thu24I ended up making Halloumi cheese sticks and bacon in the same oven tray. I made up bacon sandwiches, caramelised chutney, an apple and some lemon Vienna cakes. And a can of the delightfully tangy Clementine juice.

The halloumi was okay, and the bacon was much better than yesterday’s offering. This is because I took Tim Price’s advice and poured the hickory over the bacon as it cooked, and as a result, it tasted a lot better. Flavour rating: 7/10.

WD 0.0.128A I didn’t even get to do the washing up, I fell asleep with the tray on my knee. I woke hours later, with the tray on the floor and my humungous body half out of the recliner.

I thought about picking up the dish, plate and crumbs… Zzzz!

GM 90.0.002:05hrs: I stirred from my slumber, feeling sedentary, reluctant to move. Jejune thoughts came and went; the brain didn’t want disturbing with anything too important. Nor in the least bit like any conscientious physical or mental activity! The maundering mind mused over puerile irrelevant facts and figures for awhile. The eyelids were heavy, and Borborygmus rumblings and gentle but scarily bubbly-sounding emissions of wind started in unison!

I was just not interested in moving! The dry coughing was annoying me; it prevented me from getting back to sleep! Hehe! Inevitably, the call to the Porcelain Throne arrived.

WD 150.0.0 Off to the wet room, got the stick out of the way, and plumped down on the throne. It was hard-going, but I forced the activity along. I wish I hadn’t now – the pain! One unpleasant mess to clear-up and medicate afterwards. The whole nine-yards of hassle to deal with this morning. What a start to the day!

WD 150.0.0 Little Inchies fungal lesion had been bleeding and was sore. The messy bowl (the Sennas had been working at last, too well!) needed cleaning. The evacuated product required much effort and flushing to get rid of! Which when I was in the middle of sorting things out, the metal four-pronged walking stick was caught with my left foot, and it fell, clouting the right foot big toe. On the way down, it knocked the pen off of the floor cabinet, which flew up in the air. It fell into the toilet without touching the sides, into the mess within! Crying was an option that I barely resisted!

1Mon04However, I reckon that the pins (legs) were looking betterer than they were yesterday! There was undoubtedly hardly any hassle from Arthur Itis this Monday morning. Anne Gyna and Duodenal Donald were making up for this, though. The stabbing pains from Ann, and the dull droning aches from Donald. As I left the wet room, limping a little, the toe was still a bit tender, I took care in case any dizzies, or loss of balance came on, not to use the stick too close to the right leg. What am I saying? I get them every day! Every hour, or less sometimes! Stop being splenetic Inchcock! (“Okay, Sorry!”) I think the pins will soon be looking healthy again.

1Mon01To the kitchen, where I was pleased to find I had not left any taps running, fridge door open, or parts of the stove left on! I got the kettle on and took a photographicalisation of the morning view. Made the brew of Glengettie Gold tea, and off to the computer to get the Sunday Diary updated.

WD 150.0.0 I got the computer on and checked first to see if Facebook had been repaired, and I could get back to tending to my beloved photo albums. As if! Third day with no access to collections now. Grrr!

1Mon02

I pressed on doing the Saturday blog and got it finished and posted off. (When I say this, it sound so easy, but took several hours) Then put what few pictures I had on Pinterest. Then went on the WordPress Comments. I checked the Amazon parcels; The one packet of red potato snacks and the 6 packets of Taokaenoi seaweed and the one bottle of Hickory sauce are due today. The absolutely ridiculously priced pack of 12 toilet rolls (I daren’t say what I’m paying, Oh, dearie me), are due on 18th to 20th March. Which was initially 16th, today. Will they ever arrive, or not? A few WUP (Weak-Unwilling-Painful) Mode tyle wee-wees were taken.

1Mon05I took a break, had a wee-wee, of the WUPT (Weak-Unwilling-Painful-Trickling) so very slowly, variety.

Then got the medicationalisationing sorted out. I remembered I should have made a vial of sample erm… water, for the nurse to collect, so had to fill the sample pot, which was no bother, the trickling is rampant today. Had a guzzle of the over the counter cough medicine as well. Then olive oiled the earholes.

I began on this post. I stopped and went to get the veg in the crock-pot. Onions, I’ve got two more in the fridge. I used the last of the other fresh vegetables up. Mushrooms, onions, and peas, seasoned with a little sea salt, light Soy sauce and vegetable seasoning stock cube. Oh, and a spoonful of mint in vinegar.

Weary-eyed,  I started to do the handwashing. Which went far better than yesterday, no big spillages and no toe-stubbings! Done, wrung and hung, I went to get the ablutions done.

During which, I needed four WUPs (Weak-Unwilling-Painful) Mode tyle wee-wees! But as with the handwashing, the ablutionalisationing went of a lot betterer than Monday’s. A few dropsies, only the toothbrush, razors (2), and the fresh air spray. Moreover, no toe-stubbing and the Sock-Glide tussle was injury-free!

Unfortunately, the chest pains started again as I came out of the wet room. I got the towel on the airer. Then made up three general waste bags and a large recycling one. There was no one about, so I took them to the waste chute.

WD 150.0.0 I came back and had a WUPT (Weak-Unwilling-Painful-Trickling) wee-wee. And decided it might be a good idea if I put the hot tap on instead of the cold one to fill the kettle with, and turned back to fill it. I now have some very artistic little scold-marks on my hand and arm. Frumpworthy Grobblecurses! I got the Savlon cream and used the last of it to ease the tiny blisters, but they all popped when I applied the medication? Now this made wonder. On closer inspection I found the ‘Use-By’ date on the box, to be ‘Oct 2006’! Ah, well, I don’t know how I’m going to get out for some more!

1Mon05bOn the computer again. I had a check on the Amazon bits progress for today. Nothing crucial, each one a bit of a treat actually.

Seaweed Snack, which was £1, I could have got packs of six far cheaper, but I thought it was commonsensible to try one first to see if I liked them. Did you see that? A moment’s logicality sneaked in there! Haha! I must not get carried away with it, though!

The toilet rolls I ordered but dare not tell you how much they cost, but TORK-UK company do not do a tracking system apparently.

1Mon06a

WD 150.0.0 I went on their website. Tork-UK is a New York owned and based firm, and their prices were a little less for the same thing than Amazon. But, not a lot, as Paul Daniels used to say. I looked up the details about the product, not that there was much of it.

1Mon06b

I shall have to work out what those, ‘M’ and ‘MM’ measurements are in English as I know it. Thank heavens for Google. 94mm is 3.7″, and 200mm 7.8″ per sheet, not too bad?

Of course, they have to arrive yet! Wednesday to Friday it says they are due. The lorry might get highjacked? And on Thursday, I have to go to the Podiatrists in the morning for an 08:30hr appointment, I hope it doesn’t arrive while I’m out! Oh dear, I’m worried now! If it comes on Wednesday, that would be the best thing. I’ll be stuck indoors anyway, I can’t go out until Thursday. I will soon need some bread and milk, although I can manage without them really, I suppose. Fresh veg and fruit will be sadly missed. Ah, I think I’ve ordered some of that stuff, from Iceland for tomorrow! I get confused easily, you know!

A leaflet was put through the door, weel, six of them were! I threw five straight into the recycling bag.

1Mon07WD 150.0.0 But had a read of the Farmfoods one. Unbelievable! They were advertising packs of 18 toilet rolls, @ 3 for £11!!! This may get them stampeded by the ruthless, nasty, hoarders of Nottingham. And will end-up in disaster for them! I hope not! But can already envision the responses from the Brexit-weary, Coronavirus C-90-frazzled, angry muggers, shop-lifters and gang members, even ordinary citizens, will be; after they have hastened to the stores to find they have sold out! A verbal insulting, vicious-marathon and possible blood bath will follow! Mark my words! The poor staff are going to be in for it when they run out of stock!

I rang Sister Jane to tell her of the advert. We had a natter, and things sounded better for her hubby Pete, medically speaking, I’m glad to say. Got a bit of a dizzy while talking to her, and most of the conversation didn’t make it to the memory-box. Phwert!

1Mon08WD 150.0.0 Back on the computer, but the usual old folk’s weariness was dawning fast. So I gave up, after trying Facebook first. Still no access to my photo albums! Grrr!

1Mon09aI got the chips in the oven and checked the vegetables in the Crock-Pot. The Amazon delivery arrived, and I left them to sort out later and pressed on with the nosh preperationing. And what a nosh it turned out to be. An 8/10for flavour. Super tasty! I could have done with an extra x6 servings of the Truffle Fries, but still.

1Mon09bI did the washing up, took the medications and opened the three bits from Amazon. The salt & vinegar flavoured seaweed snack pack (Not tried yet), six packets of Japanese style seaweed crispies (delicious!), and the Moores Hickory Marinade (Very costly!) I’ll ask on the TFZer Facebook if anyone knows how to use this Marinade.

1Mon10I put the boxes behind the £300, second-hand, grottily beige-coloured, c1968, not working, uncomfortable, falling to pieces recliner.

Then found boxes I’d put there earlier and had not removed yet! But I’ll get around to it sometime, I’m sure…

Washed, changed, and got settled to see some TV. The usual happened; watch a few minutes, nod-off a few minutes repeatedly, but no proper sleep for hours! Spit!

GM09d02:20hrs: I woke thinking I’d only just nodded off, to find I’d slept right through for about six hours! I was feeling physically better than last night, thankfully. Mentally, I’ll decide later.

Almost without any rumbling, churning or the usual warning sensations, I had to hastily free my depressingly overweight wobbly-body from the lumpy old recliner. Off to the wet room and the Throne.

WD 0.51.102 “Ah, it was a lot easier this time”. It still hurt, but nothing like yesterdays session. The Sennas have started to do their job at last! Not messy either. The unfortunate side of things was that Little Inchies fungal lesion was bleeding. Judging by the condition of the PP’s, he’d been leaking for a while. Bit of medicating and cleansing, and off to the kitchen. It’s times like this that the embarrassment of wearing the PP’s disintegrates, temporarily replaced with fulgurate appreciation and a certain chuffedness, that I was wearing them! They saved me an awful lot of bother. Oddly, the aching and churning of the innards started after the evacuation? Mmm?

I got the kettle on and took a couple of photographs from the light & view-blocking unwanted, unliked, thick-framed, can’t get at to clean, with the photo-handicapping wide ledge sticking out, that make me have to take ‘blind’ photographs of below the window. But it doesn’t bother me!

4Thu02c

Took the medications, made the Thompsons Punjana brew, and got the computer started. Had wee-wee of the SBTSDWS (Started-Blasting-out-Then-Stopped-Dead-Within-Seconds) variety.

WD 0.51.102 I began to create some much-needed graphics. After ten minutes or so an even more urgent need for the Porcelain Throne Mark 2 arrived. I knocked stuff off of the Ottoman en route, hit my ankle with the stick, all in my haste to get there in time! Which I did, but with only seconds to spare! The evacuation began under control of the innards, all I had to do was suffer the pain and wait. Tsk! So different to the first session; messy, bloody and quicker. The now very sore bottom had Harold’s Haemorrhoids and blood that needed cleaning and medicating. Perhaps the most surprising thing was not 4Thu01the change in the consistency, but the colour of the evacuated product. The first visit, it was almost black, now mustardy coloured? I don’t know which is more bothersome nowadays, my mental or physical quirks? Hehehe!

At least the pins (legs) were looking fine. Which I put down to new Bamboo socks, but I’m not really sure, just glad they are so well.

3Wed23Ah, the Amazon delivery is due today. I don’t know why I bothered going out, so late as well, on Wednesday, all that hassle! And still, I couldn’t get what I wanted! So I ordered these on the right from Amazon. And they were cheaper than Boots (Olive drops), and I couldn’t find any droppers anywhere in Arnold! And this, after Tim Price had told me how much more accessible, it was to use Amazon.

Incidentally, last week I mentioned Tim in the Inchcock today, but unfathomably wrote Tim Hancock, not Price! Tim Hancock rang a bell, but I could not remember who he was. Well, I’ve remembered! He was the Personnel Manager, at what was in the day, was Carter’s pop factory in Kegworth where I worked, in the ’80s. A grand, fair chap. As is Tim Hancock as well!  A connection there, perhaps I can blame that fop my cock-up, or not. Haha!

Back to the computer and started this blog off up to hear, then began to update yesterdays sad diary. There were times when I was a different person yesterday, up and 4Thu03down spiritually so often. Things feel better today. But I still do not feel the need for food? I couldn’t believe it when I did not have a meal last night. Mind you, I wasn’t feeling up to much. Hey-ho!

I got some handwashing done, rung and hung in the kitchen.

WD 0.51.102 Then had a funny-moment to myself. I was suddenly aware that there was something important that needed doing. But could I hell as like remember what it was? No! I had a wander around each room. Hoping for some inspiration as to what it was that was so urgent. Nothing generative come across. I stood near the disliked windows and day dreamed-dreamed. In the past, I have had the odd occasion when by thinking of something else to ferret out something from my memory, has worked. So, I mused over Brexit, how we can save the elephants, why am so unlucky, Nottingham Forests Cloughie years and various other things. However, it was no good. I just hoped that whatever it is, is not too important. But I fear it is!

4Thu04WD 0.51.102 I got the clothes and warm towel and off to the wet room for the ablutionalisationing session. Not exactly the best, but far from the worst. Most of them, due to Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters failing. Dropsies total (5), Gum nicks from doing the teggies (1), shaving cuts (2, one-bad), soap (Not carbolic today I used the lavender) (2), Freshener spray can (1), cleared the top of the floor cabinet using the towel, and No Sock-Glide injuries! Smug-Mode Engaged!

Then, a first for me I think, coming out I trapped a finger (right hand, off-course) in the door, just as Nicodemus was coming back on-line. The Swine! Could’ve waited a few seconds, didn’t half make me jump! Hehehe!

Apart from a bit pale again, the legs were still looking good!

I got dressed and made up two black bags, and a recycling one then took them to the waste chute room.

WD 0.51.102 Came back, and spotted some marls on the kitchen floor where the bags must have spilt something as I swapped them. So, I got a cloth and using the Flash spray, I got down to clean up the marks. Jehosaphat! I had a job getting back up on my feet afterwards! Pain and an Agrhhallurgha and a few curses were uttered!

On the computer again. Updated this to here, then checked the Amazon deliveries tracker! The dropper bottles wi;; be here by 20:00hrs estimated, and the Olive oil, by 21:00hrs.

I went onto CorelDraw to do page top graphics, I’ve just used the last one on here. Many hours later I’d gt some done, but the weariness was dawning.

Got the nosh cooking, fish and sweet in the oven and mini brown and red tomatoes ready to slice in half.

WD 0.51.102 Turned everything off. And served it up on the tray, then turned on the TV, and Freeview was down. So, I forgot all about the nosh going cold in the kitchen Grumpworthiness! And did a Retune.

  • When it was done, instead of the usual 240 programmes, I had 82, with channels 21 & 31, my most viewed (well, fell asleep by) ones, missing along with many others!
  • Thought I must have made some wrong options setting it up, so tried again. Taking my time in which choices I made.
  • This time a message suggesting that I do a First-Time installation appeared, so I did! ‘No option available for East Midlands this time’.
  • Getting betterer, I then had 186 channels, but still no 21 or 31, and no BBC1 and others.
  • Another retune was done, via the updating option. I chose the UK, – England, – East Midlands. And swore under my breathe!
  • Aha! Gorrit! All back on, but some channels were a bit pixilated.

4Thu07WD 0.51.102 Then I finally remembered my dinner! It looked alright on the plate, but cold. I didn’t mind the raw peas, fish-sticks, tomatoes, radishes, red onions or beetroot; but the gone cool leeks, mushrooms, peas and smoked haddock was too much to eat!

I did eat some of it, not much mind. The majority of it found its way into the waste bin bag! Sob! I kept the yoghourt and potato cakes to nibble later on and got the pots washed.

Took the medications, and turned back on the computer, to look at the Amazon tracker. Approximately 2 hours, I guessed at and assessed on the graph. Now the problem of NOT falling asleep arose!

I selected programs with sub-titles, 5 USA, to watch some Law & Order episodes. Then I didn’t need the headphones on, so could hear when the Intercom or door chimes were activated. (Cunning plan, eh?) But, the sub-titles were very small, and I could not read them in time. I opted for some documentary stuff on channel 25 to watch.

WD 0.51.102 Despite my best-laid-plans, I did nod-off a few times. Gerumbulations! Each time I woke up from a mini-dose-off, I got up and checked the front door, in case the parcels might have been left.

4Thu08I reckon I must have dosed a good few times without realising it, for it was getting very late now.

I checked on the tracker again. It said the goods have been delivered! That’s a problem you see, here in the flats. Someone thinking they are being helpful, see a deliveryman-like-looking person with a parcel in their hands and let them in the foyer door. Which means, the intercom (I checked that, ‘No Missed Calls’) is not used, so I am not alerted. The door chimes, if both are pressed, usually I can hear? The solution? Don’t allow deafies to come live in the apartments, especially those who keep dropping off to sleep! Oh, hang on, that’s me! Hahaha!

4Thu05I checked outside the door, and there were the parcels. Well, it might have taken a few problems and Whoopsiedangleplops, but I think I now have enough ear dosing olive oil, and the means to apply it, to last me for the rest of my life. Be Prepared! And I wasn’t a Boy Scout! Life Boys then Boys Brigade for me, (I liked the uniform and the walking the streets playing the drums!)

WD 0.51.102 Those were the days! It didn’t last though, I got a walk-on part in a play, and knocked a candle over on my exit, and suffered the ignominy of being sacked for the first time! Well, they wouldn’t allow a lit candle as part of the scenery nowadays in kids plays. All signs of my future Whoopsiedangleplops developing! Hahahahaha!

I opened the parcels checks the content, all looked good to me. Placed them in the third-down medicines drawer, and exhausted (mentally).

WDP sleepLI got down again in the £300, second-hand, c1968, obnoxiously-yucky beige-coloured recliner.

At last, Zzzz!

GM06bWD 0.0.0 (1) 02:15hrs: I woke in a depressional gulley, and felt awfully low. Why? I don’t know! I laid there a while, not moving, and hardly interested being bothered to breathe, let alone getting up and doing anything!

My thanks now, to the howling ‘Hum’. For taking my attention away from the morass of melancholy, I was in. The instant I silently spat out my hatred for the ever-present, mindnumbing humming noise, everything started to get back to normal. The whole episode only last a couple of minutes or so?

I was out of the £300, second-hand, sickeningly beige coloured, c1968, rickety-recliner in no time. Well, pretty quickly for me, and with little aching or pains from any ailments either! Oh, yes!

WDP 002ARAs I was catching my balance, stick in hand, the summoning to the Porcelain Throne arrived, so, off to the wet room. A damned fine session today. No bleeding from anywhere, not too messy and I didn’t drop or knock anything over! Fair enough, I did stub my toe against the shower chair, but it was the right foot, and thanks to Nicodemus Neurotransmitters being on strike at that moment, there was hardly any pain! Hehehe! I shouldn’t laugh, when they start working again, the belated message will be sent to the brain (No wonder I get confused!), and the twinges will be felt then. Grubbulisations!

7Sun41WD 0.0.0 (1) To the kitchen, to find that I had not taken last nights medications! Woe is me! I had to guess at which tablets were the Furesomide, Beta-blockers and Codeines. This is thanks to Carrington Pharmacy, 343-345 Mansfield Rd, Nottingham NG5 2DA, who seem to have it in for me this year! They failed as promised to take out the Furesomide from the blister-packs, Twice! Then left me for five-days without any painkillers or Bisoprolol 10mg (Beta-blockers). This month, their blister packs came undone, and all the unidentifiable tablets have got mixed up! For anyone not wishing to be killed by this pharmacy; the photo above on the right indicates what is to be avoided. By anyone wanting to stay alive. Just another reminder: Carrington Pharmacy, 343-345 Mansfield Rd, Nottingham NG5 2DA.

WD 0.0.0 (1) As I was setting up CorelDraw to make some graphics for the page tops, Toothache Tim and Anne Gyna both kicked off. (I thought things were going wellish?) Throughout the next three hours or so, I kept making cups of tea and letting them get cold, in my vigorous attempts at getting the graphicalisationing done. Tsk!

The wind didn’t seem so strong this morning, but when I opened the window to take a photo, it soon got closed again! Brrr! Blimey, it was cold. As the sunshine seemed to get stronger and came out brighter, I swear it got even colder, not warmer! No view shot was taken!

7Sun02WD 0.0.0 (1) As I turned, there was a click, followed by Back-Pain-Brenda bitterly biting bother! Argh! I took some painkillers, bringing out the big boy Co-codamol and a Codeine.

Realised how late it was, so turned everything off, and went to get the ablutions tended to.

001bI got some of Josie’s dinner cooking, and the landline flashed and rang. It was Sister Jane. I’m afraid I could not hear everything she was saying, she was talking as fast as our Auntie Bobbie. (Hehe!) But, my being not log out of the showering session, I did not have my hearing aids in. I must ring her back! (I forgot when I fell asleep later, Oh, dearie me, in trouble again methinks!)

WD 0.0.0 (1) The dropsies were galore today. Toothbrush (2), toothpaste, shaving foam, razors (2), mouthwash (broke plastic bottle), carbolic soap, flannel, shower-head, towel (3), jammie bottoms, socks… on and on! The usual Sock-Glide brouhaha, battle and bruises were avoided, by my not putting any socks on (Cunning Plan!).

When I came out of the wet room, things were very blue! Not the naughty language type (Hehe!) but the colour blue. The Hue!

7Sun07

I took these shots from left to right. Amazing, how quickly the dank, drizzly sky was when I entered the wet room, now look at it! But despite the cloudless blue sky, it was still so damned cold with the window open!

7Sun08 (2)I got the handwashing done, rung and hung. All over the flat in different rooms, it was hanging.

WD 0.0.0 (1) I got Josie’s nosh all ready and forgot to take a photo of it in my rush to get it to her while still warm. A Special one today, too. The cheesy-mashed potato was the best I have ever made. That was thanks to the coloured extra-strong red cheddar I bought from Fultons. It really was strong, lovely! (Naturally, being Josie’s official Sunday Chef, I had to taste it). With Lurpak butter, sea-salt and some chives, I was proud of it. The tuna flakes in brine had some mayonnaise mixed in it. Tomatoes sliced and sea-salted. The five-bean mix, I made sure was well cooked through, and the last tin of Aldi garden peas was used. Beetroot was sliced for her, and some caramelised onion chutney on the side. A pot of limoncello dessert, and a can of pin Gin & tonic, all on the tray.

WD 0.0.0 (1) I did, in my haste to get it to her, foolishly carried the tray instead of using the wheeled server trolley. But got away with it, despite a couple of wobbles, in which I clouted my elbows. I shan’t risk that again! She seemed glad enough at the look of her meal, we had a few seconds gossip in which I explained that sadly, she may never get such a good cheesy mashed potato again. With me getting it from Fultons, a shop that gets stuff if it is cheap, and often I never see them on sale again. I wished her happy eating, and returned to the flat, all of three paces (Hehehe!)

Josie noticed some letters on my hallway floor and stepped over to pick them up for me,  bless her. She put them on the radiator. (Not working)

I got the dreaded job of the washing up done first. Gawd, cleaning the cheesy-mash off of the cutlery, is the hardest job on a Sunday! Then as I started to get my nosh on the go, a twinge of sadness overcame me, when I realised that my days of cheesy potatoes on my plate are numbered! (Diabetes!) I did, of course, have to try the potatoes after mixing, as part of my part-time chefs’ job (Haha!) Two overloaded filthy-great serving spoons full! It tasted gorgeous!

Then as I was getting my nosh prepared, (Braised beef in onion sauce, cook-in-the-bag) a moment of uncertainty arose. Had I locked the front door, I sometimes do, as getting into the habit of never locking it while I’m inside, so the paramedics can gain entry, is still hard to remember not to do… Does that sound right? I went to check, finding the door unlocked. Then saw letters on the heatless heater.

WD 0.0.0 (1) I opened them in trepidation. The first was obviously the test results of last Monday’s INR blood taking. Took their time getting it back to me, didn’t they? It must have been delivered on Saturday, five days later, and the dosages had changed because the reading was down to 1.7 INR, and I have been taking the wrong amounts for five days! Inchyangulations!

7Sun12a

The other two were both from Ingeus diabetes people. A letter outlining the procedures for the sessions. And again, telling me to ring then if I want to proceed, on a Birmingham telephone number. Which is not available on a weekend, but Mon to Frid 0800 > 20hrs. Along with an eleven-page questionnaire for me to fill in. Something tells me these courses are not going to go well! Not my EQ, I might add, just a feeling. It appears that the courses are for different times than the man with the undecipherable voice told me. Once a week for four weeks, then I might get invited back for once-a-month follow-up sessions for nine months. It said in the letter in bold print: “8 out of 10 people who turn up once complete the first part of the programme” I’m not sure what this intimidatory, subliminal message implies?

Many years ago, when suffering one of my many redundancies, and claiming benefit, I went on an Ingeus Training Course in Nottingham, on Maid Marion Way. It was delivered in an automaton, emotionless, empathyless style as I recall. Obviously, the company has conned the NHS (or back-handed someone) to get the contract.

7Sun09I pressed on making the meal. I moved the five-beans, baked (burnt) parsnips, potatoes and garden peas into one saucepan, flavoured with black bean sauce.

Got them all drained and added to the braised beef in onion gravy. I certainly filled the bowl!

7Sun14I got the meal into the front room, put it down, and the telephone chirped and flashed! It was the Amazon delivery. (Don’t I have a lot of bad timing lately? Humph!)

I thanked the young man, wished him well, and hobbled hastily back to the room, and placed the collapsable walking stick and Picker-Upperer on the flat airer. I’ll check them out later in the morning.

As you can see above right, my meal on the plate on the chair in the background was awaiting my attention! Tsk!

WD 0.0.0 (1) I got down and tucked into it, with my feet up on a chair, the TV on with Hetty Wainthrope showing, and proceeded to dribble gravy onion down my chin, chest, and belly. Yes, Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters failure was back again! I just carried on, nowt else to be done. By gum, I enjoyed this nosh! A flavour Rating of 9.2/10!

Then, after giving things time to digest, while I watched to the end of the Hetty programme, and it was off to do even more washing up! But my meal’s muck was so much easier to get cleaned.

The usual weariness dawned, but the sleep once again refused to come for yonks!

WDP 10R01LWD 150.0.0 23:55hrs: Another flipping disturbed sleep. The constant dreams! It peeves me so that I cannot recall much of them. Other than they all involved my working days happenings, cock-ups, mistakes etc. were relived, but with a different outcome… I think. When I had to get up (yet again) to go for a wee-wee, (They were all of the LHNPOS (Long-Hosepipelike-No-Pain-Or-Sensation) variety, I decided I might as well stay up.

“Morpheus, sweet Morphius, please return to me – Please! I’ll be moaning in three or four days, about me falling asleep on the bus or Throne! Hehehe!

6Sat03I got the stick and went to the kitchen, to take the medications and make a brew of Thompsons Punjana tea.

WD 150.0.0 Then I opened the Amazon bag and got the new coat out to try it for size. It was supposed to be XXL but was just a bit tight. When I saw the ‘Made in China’ label, this explained things a bit. I took off the hood, so I could keep it somewhere that I will not remember when I need it. Phwerp! It was lovely and warm, with six pockets for me to lose things in.

Most importantly and the reason I paid so much for it, it was long enough to cover-up the signs on my wearing the PP’s. The main worry was the delicate but stiff working zip, fingers crossed on that! I put it on a hangar, in the hope that the creases from it being wrapped tightly and squashed in transit, might fall out.

With no demand for the Porcelain Throne yet, I got on the computer, no point in going to have a wash and disturb the neighbours at this ridiculous hour. I started to update the Friday blog. During which, I got the hiccups for about an hour and a half. Why though, I just don’t know.

But I did recognise, that Arthur Itis, after yesterdays bad sessions, was all calm again? But there were tweaks of movement from the Peripheral Neuropathic right side leg. I felt sure that a Neuropathic Schuhplattler dancing session was soon to affect me, even my EQ warned me If I read him correctly – their’s no words, just emotion like feeling from him. I can’t understand or learn from him a lot of the time, but he’s rarely wrong). Bonkers? Me?

Later, the shoulder and arm-shaking started, but the finger-ends neurotransmitters were not too bad at the moment. The wee-wees all the same type, have been regular. I might have got a Furesomide taken by mistake for a Codeine 30g or Beta-blocker, with all three of them looking the same clour, size and shape, thanks to Carrington Pharmacy, 343-345 Mansfield Rd, Nottingham NG5 2DA, (Near the Lidl Store).

This is why, about 4-5 weeks ago, Nurse Leoni (Medicines Management Team) phoned Carrington Pharmacy, 343-345 Mansfield Rd, Nottingham NG5 2DA, (Near the Lidl Store) pharmacy for me. Told them not to put the Furesomides in the blister-pack, because they are taken on an as-needed, ad-hoc basis.

But, Carrington Pharmacy, 343-345 Mansfield Rd, Nottingham NG5 2DA, (Near the Lidl Store) who assured Leoni they would in future be sent in packets, failed miserably and dispatched them in the blisters again. This should have annoyed me, well, it did at the time. But I couldn’t get too worked up about it, because Carrington Pharmacy, 343-345 Mansfield Rd, Nottingham NG5 2DA, (Near the Lidl Store) delivered my medications five days late last month, and I had no Furesomides, Beta-blockers or Codeine to counter the pain I was in for those five days.

ChemistNo apologies from Carrington Pharmacy, 343-345 Mansfield Rd, Nottingham NG5 2DA, (Near the Lidl Store). And to think, that ‘Yell’ (Yellow Pages) on the web, class them as one of the top three chemists in Nottingham! Astounding in the extreme, Troppo!

There must be some dangwangling, ‘Not-exactly-fair’ business practices going on here?

6Sat02aI began this post off. Then went to open the Crock-pot box. It was ginormous! Far too big for me to use. A family size one, for sure.

I had a proper struggle to get it out of the box. I then pondered on who to give it to. I’ll have to buy a smaller one.

6Sat04WD 150.0.0 I put the cooker on the kitchen-top.  As you see by the picture, it ain’t gonna fit! It will have to squash things to get it in under the wall cupboard, and the heat of five or six hours simmering is going to be too dangerous for me. Nope, disappointing as it is, I will not risk using it. Tsk! It’ll have to go!

6Sat05WD 150.0.0 A proper shame that. I was going to do some mushrooms and tomatoes. But on a closer look at the Dutch tom’s, they were all seeping, with skins cracked and black spots coming up to the surface on them! Well, EQ did warn me! So it didn’t matter as much, now. But my idiocy still wrangled me!

WD 150.0.0 I went all coy and ashamed. Suddenly badly depressed. I didn’t know whether to cry, commit hari-kari, lambast my own stupidity in not checking when I bought the slow-cooker, or just sob for a bit! Tsk! What a pathetic, stupid nayfish I am. Oy-oy-oy!  Goodnight! As my spirits sank, a massive, moody moroseness, of mammoth-magnitude, made me melancholy and sulky!

WD 150.0.0 As I began to go on the TFZer Facebooking… Oh, crap!

Virg 150.0.0

WD 150.0.0 More time lost! I’d been up and about for eight-hours. And with no sleep, and the hassle with the cooker-cock-up I’d made, and now the internet, and still having some graphics to make up, downhearted and a lack of interest came over me.

When it came back on, the internet was very slow and kept having freezing moments. Which took the pleasure away from my TFZing! But I spent many hours on CorelDraw doing a couple of templates in readiness, a slog!

Feeling rough now. But hungry, which is not to be unexpected (that’s not grammatically correct is it? Or is it?), with not eating last night. Chilli-Beans with black bean sauce, pork slices and some bacon. And few slices of slightly stale Milk Roll bread.

While I was preparing the meal, as the brain drifting off into a meandering, thought-Storm of confusion, the ET came into communication with me. His message was short and sharp. “Expect a shock, soon!” But being as I am always doing this, as a natural part of by resilience building, Huh! I ignored him.

6Sat24I got the nosh finished, served up, and tucked into. The black bean sauce weakened the chilli flavour, which suited me down to the ground. I blame Morrison’s, for substituting my curry beans with the Chilli ones!

A flavour rating of 7.2/10 was granted.

WDP 2019A2AWD 150.0.0a After eating, I decided I had better get the washing up done. Maybe to assuage my guilt with the Crock-Pot farce? When the pot-cleaning was done, I lifted the bowl to tip out the water so as to wipe it dry… Within seconds I had, soapy wet jammies and socks, the cabinets had running suds down them, the floor was awash, and all due to an involuntary Neuropathic Schuhplattler drop-something and flail-about dance from the right leg! To add to the misery, I kicked the four-pronged walking stick over, and the handle part fell on my left foot corn! Somehow, I knew that this incident was not what EQ was warning me about! That is to be revealed, yet, if at all.

I cleaned everything up (I think), and changed the jammie-bottoms with my other pair, and hun the old ones to dry. Then, my enthusiasm, will-power and energy drained, I got settled very early into the £300, second-hand, cringingly beige-coloured recliner. Although I was sure I would not be able to stay awake to watch it, I still put on DVD, ‘Hello I’m Alan Partridge’ Well fatigued, I drifted of within minutes.

After another dream involving my past failures and embarrassments, and I can recall bits of this. I put (in the daymare) “I shall not disclose these events, they were private and of a nature that was not revealable to avoid more embarrassment for me” The internet went crazy with people for all over the world demanding I tell all? I can’t recall, but I’m sure I did not do so. Hehe! Worra lucid, real-feeling dream!

I woke up and wrote some scribbled notes about the dream on my pad. Then, looked at the clock, it showed 3:30, for a while I thought it was in the morning, and I’d slept for over 12 hours! A moment or to later I acclimatised my brain (as much as is possible) and realised I had only been akip for two hours, and it was the afternoon. The day being so dark fooled me. (A searched for excuse, Haha!)

WDP sleepLWD 150.0.0 Then I saw that the DVD was still playing, (Or I’d hit the remote that lay between my legs and turned it back on) so turned it off, and considered getting up to do the handwashing. But nodded off again, and this time it was for nine-hours or so! I woke at midnight!

WDP 08R02aWD 0.0.5 01:35hrs: I woke up, feeling instantly depressed at the thought of having to go to the After-Stroke Physio session, knowing how it always gets to me mentally, as well as physically. Then I pondered, have I got the right bus fare? Then it dawned on me; it’s Monday, not Tuesday! (I’m quick, you know. Tsk!)

The regular first thing in need of the Porcelain Throne soon arrived. So I disencumbered my onerously-overweight body from the £300, second-hand, c1968, sometimes working, horrendously tatty, beige-coloured, rickety recliner. The one that xyrophobia-suffering Brother-in-Law Pete damaged, while he was flat-sitting when I was in the Stroke Ward. And he fitted new CCTC cameras, he erected a drone-landing platform outside and searched for my valuables, which he found and took (I still haven’t got them back yet six-months later).

I got my balance and the four-pronged walking stick and carefully wobbled off to the wet room. The evacuation, as it has been doing for a few days now, started on its own accord, was substantial and insalubrious, grungy, and messy again! I had a good clean up of the room, utilities, and myself, then made for the kitchen.

1Mon02

WDPT03LWD 0.0.5 The moment I turned on the hot water tap, hot water flowed from the tap (faucet) over the block and into the sink. Oh, dear! I’ll have to beg Brigadefuhreress and pole-dancer, ILC Warden Deana later, if she can inform the Nottingham City Homes repairs for me. I’ve already got to ask her to call the NHS Medicine team about the appointment they made clashing at the same time as the Podiatrist’s Sherwood Health Centre trip on Thursday. And the Police Pegasus Record people for me. I’m not going to be a very popular tenant again, bothering them! Mind you. That is if the gal is in today? If not, and she’s on holiday or working at another complex somewhere as holiday cover… I’m well-up the creek without a paddle! Confusion and depression were on the way, the EQ told me.

1Mon05I moved the handwashing onto the airers. I kept jiggling them about to get it to dry better as the morning went on.

I then got on the computer and started to get the Sunday post updated. But it was a slow and frustrating job today. The myasthenia gravis finger-ends were alternating between total and partial none-response. So, much time was lost in finding errors and correcting them repeatedly. This got to me, a bit, and my spirits sank somewhat. Having to go bothering people for help with the phones didn’t help much either. I always feel a hindrance to them. They seem so busy all the time. Which they are, of course.

1Mon 01WD 0.0.5 I’d nearly got the updating done when I realised that I had taken the morning medications yet! Tsk! So I made another brew and did so.

Back to blogging. Another hour or so, and I’d posted it off. Then put some pictures on to Pinterest.

Then I made a start on today’s post.

1Mon07The right arm, where I’d burnt it on the oven racks taking out Josie’s smoked haddock last night, began to itch, and I found it difficult not to keep scratching it. So I rubbed some Savlon cream on the little scars, this should ease off the itchiness! And it did, too! Any more medical help or advice you need, just call me! Hahaha!

I went on the WordPress Reader next. Then onto TFZer Facebooking.

WDP 11eLOff to the wet room for a wee-wee. And what a wee-wee it was! Of the MES (Marathon-Endless-Sprinkling) variety. I thought it must be time for dinner when it finally ended! It must have taken several minutes to trickle its way to a final conclusion. I think that maybe, had I used a receptacle to relieve things in, a teacup might have been too big! The pain, as well. Blimey!

I got the ablutions done, so I would have time to try and get down to the Oberuppehfureress’s Holding and Interrogation Cell office, and not be late in getting back for the Angel of Mercy Phlebotomy Nurse’s arrival. Which I didn’t want to be late or miss the beauty of!

1Mon06I got in and stripped off for the cleaning session, and boy oh boy, were the plates (feet) colourless! They were whiter and paler than I have ever seen them before! I could be dead here, and no one has bothered to tell me about it, you know. Hahaha!

WDP 02lb

WD 0.0.5 The day’s ablutions Whoopsiedangleplops are worth recording. Just for the sheer number of them! During my time in the wet room doing my ablutions, I considered giving up, moving to the Guinness home on Colville Court, Nottingham NG1 4HG. Where assistance is available 24/7, for just a few pounds more a week in rent… but realised there would be no point in moving again, I’d only take my bad luck with me. Suicide was not on the agenda. Just a pissed-offedness of 1Mon08mega-proportions. Anyway, how could one leave Jenny, Cindy, Penny, Mary, Gaynor, Margaret, Christine, Angela, Josie, Mo, Deana, Julie etc.. Not that I see them much, but when I do, it never fails to cheer me up. Back to the farcical wet-room session: Oh, the legs looked a little better today.

Ablutionalistic Whoopsies:

  • Dropped the toothpaste tube.
  • Clouted shoulder when bending down to pick it up.
  • Hit the other shoulder on the sink, getting back up.
  • Cut the inside of my mouth, when the autonomic nerves started the right hand shaking as I cleaned the teggies.
  • Dropped the toothbrush.
  • Dropped the razor, three times!
  • It broke on the third occasion, replaced it with the spare one.
  • Cuts on cheek, neck and the ear-hole acquired.
  • Dropped the carbolic soap twice in the shower.
  • Dropped the shower-head, it hit the knee on the way down.
  • Grabbed the towel from the hallway airer, and knocked over the machine.
  • The warmer gave out a little dull-sounding ‘Plump’ as it stopped working!
  • I hit my knee on the shower stool, fetching it back in.
  • Finally (I hoped at least!), I knocked the Sock Glide off of the chair as I lost the old balance a bit.

One of my more interesting, shall we say, shave & shower sessions that one was. (And saying that isn’t easy, Hehe!) Having got the spit and polishing up done, I hastened to get ready for the trip down in seeking assistance.

1Mon09 In the lift lobby, it looked as if the Mysteries of my beloved Woodthorpe Court. That lies somewhere between the twilight zone and a wormhole slipping through a tear in the fabric of space & the universal continuum, illusion, delusion, & hallucination, had been busy again? Haha!

I poddled along, the three-wheeler in front of me, and my mind all over the place. I arrived at the ILC’s Kamp Kommander’s Interviewing and Correctionalisationing Office. The three sweethearts were all in the room, busy catching up with their Tenants Monday morning problems moans and gripes, I should think.

  1. WDP 02aLI explained my problems, starting with the Pegasus form to be filled in, and the silly bit of paper with the return address on, in need of guidance on how it supposedly works. Oberstúrmbannfhreress Warden Deana (Just a cognomen), knuckled down and helped out straight away. She filled in the form from details held on the Nottingham City Homes computer record for me. Then supplied a safer envelope for me to use for posting back to the Nottingham Police Headquarters. Thanks, Deana!
  2. Then, she tackled the problem of the two appointments this Thursday at the same time. The lady who will be calling from the Medicines Team, Leoni will call back to me later when she returns to the office. Thanks, Deana!

I passed the nibbles around, and Deana gave me the envelope to post. Thanked her and walked out to near the bus stop, and posted the form. I went over to the bus stop, and a lady who thought I was going for the bus, stood up let me have her seat, bless her! I explained that I had just come over to offer a ‘Good Morning’ to everyone. No one answered! Haha!

1Mon09aWD 0.0.5 WDP 02LcRI made my way back to the flat, taking a snap of the windblown al-fresco seating area in the drizzle. I noticed that the door was ajar. I pressed the green open button, and a chap came along to tell that I must not push or force the door! I explained to him that I did have to if I wanted to get outside! He repeated that it was a fire door – I pointed out that it is not like the doors in the new Winwood Court, that is how come there, is a green button to press, it does not open automatically, you have to push the door! That is what I have been told. He was not impressed; he just repeated that I must not force the door, tutted and went off in a huff! Humph! I don’t know who he was.

1Mon09bWDP 02lbWD 0.0.5 I got inside the flat, (09:40hrs) and found a note from the Phlebotomy nurse, who wrote she could not get me to answer the door at 0930hrs. Talk about bad luck in the timing. If it hadn’t been for the know-all bloke, who was wrong in what he said anyway, I wouldn’t have missed the nurse! Globdollocks and Rumbustiousness!

WDP 14LWD 0.0.5 Now I have to ring the Sherringham Medical Practise Surgery. It ended up that I have to go to the surgery for my Warfarin blood test. The only slot they have left is for Wednesday at 11:45hrs. Just can’t be helped, though. Not with my rotten, horrendous, continuos, lousy, soul-destroying, heart-attack-prompting, pathetic, suicidal-tempting, crap, horrible luck! But, it doesn’t bother me, mind. Lie01a!

The doorbells chimed-out, and it was Josie, returning the things from her Sunday nosh. Happily, she said she loved it! Which, despite the Whoopsies, cheered me up a tad!

WD 0.0.5 Then Leoni, from the Medicines Management Team rang. To change the Thursdays double-booking with the Podiatrist, at Sherwood Health Centre. Cancelled Thursdays, and made one for Wednesday 4th December for 09:30hrs. Bless her, she made it nice and early for me! ♥

WD 0.0.5 Then the phlebotomy nurse rang me, making an appointment with me, also for Wednesday 27th November, but did not know what time it would be for yet!

WDP 4RI was now in a state of utter confusionableitis!

WD 0.0.5 My head was spinning – My concentration shattered – My will-power was virtually none-existant! – It was gone passed my head-down time! It had gone dark and dank, and the rain is falling slowly again!

And the thought of going to the miserable, pettiness and sarcasm-ridden After-Stroke Physio session in the morning is already lingering ready to grow and develop into a new depression…

WDP 03RWD 0.0.5ARGH! I’ve just realised, with having to stay in all day. I’ve not got the money for the bus fare in change for the rotten, unwanted morning! I’ll have to walk to the bloody-physio work-out now!!! That means two and a bit hours, so I’ll have to leave by 06:00hrs at the latest, and knowing my sodding luck, and the British weather, it’ll probably be raining!

1Mon14WD 0.0.5 Oh, so fed-up! I went to make a brew and think about something to eat. And the door chimes rang out again! It was an Amazon delivery! The mood changed slightly, still not happy, and even depressed, but a twinkling of hope came into my mind – “Aha, is this the Rice-cooker replacement lead! Hahaha!

1Mon13WD 0.0.5 No such luck! It was the monthly Mannen Lemon cream wafers that were being delivered! Ah, well, I should expect something to go right? An absolute, Shlimazel like me? Don’t make me larf!

So, I’ll have some of the quick rice later. Not all that later, I hope. Cause I’m worn-out and mentally drained now.

WD 0.0.5 1Mon11Hello, a noise from the door again, I’ll investigate. Fancy that, a load of junk mail had been delivered for me to enjoy! Well, that cheered me up no-end that did! A good job I live on my own, for the mutterings coming from under my breath, that was not to be repeated in any civilised company! The Houses of Commons, perhaps?

I had another look at the Google Calendar. Now, what needs doing? Ah, the surgery must be contacted, about the phlebotomy, or have they already been in touch with the nurses?

1Mon12

I feel deficient now. I imagine that the electric lead will be delivered tomorrow while I’m out unhappily being glared at and spoken of behind my back, be read to from a book. Listen to crap “You are walking along the beach, the sun is warm, and to paddle along the water’s edge…” or some such so-called relaxing taped talking, and hearing of other’s holidays to Asia, America, Australia. Their latest new car. Their families Christmas arrangements. Going through agony with the exercises from Arthur Itis, Anne Gyna, Maria Myasthenia Gravis and so on, leaving the… oh, I got carried a bit there. Sorry.

I had to close down the computer, through over-fatigue (Mental I think).

1Mon22I got the handwashing done, wrung and hung. Got into the night-attire, and once the meal cooked and served up, tucked into it!

Cooked Turkey, RRQ flavoured rice, with chopped tomatoes and onions added. Some wholemeal sliced cobs, but I only ate two of them. Flavour-Rating: 7.5/10.

I got the pots washed, and settled in the second-hand, c1968, recliner.

I lay for a while, pondering on the things, well, the cock-ups that had come my way today. But did not get around to actually thinking-out any solutions or damage limitation. For once sleep came quickly, defying the mind-blast in my head!

I’m not sure how I got through today’s mighty, mayhem of macabre, morose, mentally-testing mishaps.

03:55hrs: Woke up, and almost like a robot, out of the second-hand, £300, c1968, rusty, not-working-again-today thanks to Brother-in-Law Pete damaging it, while he was flat-sitting, when I was in the Stroke Ward, and he fitted new CCTC cameras, and searched for my valuables, which he found and took, (I still haven’t got them back yet four-months later), recliner. Had a wee-wee, but could not find the GPEB (Grey-Plastic-Emergency Bucket), I don’t know why, but I could not find it at all! Nae bothers to me, I seemed to be in a very laid back state? I poddled to the wet-room, and needn’t have worried more about what came out, or instead didn’t. It was of a PWWDIB (Pathetic-Weak-Why-Did-I-Bother) mode.

To the kitchen and moved the hand-washed last night, long-sleeved shirt onto the airer. Then I took my medications. Made a brew. And got the computer booted up. All these actions were done in a very matter-of-fact way, and no thought-storms or worries bothered me! Somehow this made me worry.

I did the updating of the Wednesday post. So quickly, I kept thinking I must have missed something, surely. Maybe I did, but haven’t worked out what it is yet? Odds are this is what happened. Haha!4Thu02

When I made a mug of tea. It had got light, and I drew back the curtains.

WDPright02WD 100.20.0 I moved the stepladders back inside from the balcony. Because opening the curtains, more of the hooks fell off the top rail. Oy Vey! It took me ages and many brave actions up on the step-ladder to get the hooks put back on the rail. But still no hassle or bother to me. (Have I been taking something I ought not to have taken?) My unflustered, unworried, unnatural mood continues!

WDPleft02WD 100.20.0 4Thu05Then to my amazement and flabergastation, I noticed that the newly made-up three-wheel-guide that I’d left out there yesterday with the stepladders, had moved to the right end of the balcony! Tight up against the right side? Is this possible? I thought? Then the worrying, fretting, nervousness, and the uncomfortable neurasthenia kicked-off. (It had to come!) I pondered on what could have caused this. Ghosts, Aliens, or giant Boll-Weevils? Hehe! Then, I remembered the falling bit of concrete or cement that I spotted on the balcony yesterday!

3Wed12a

The joke I put in yesterdays dairy about the crumbling balcony, isn’t so funny now. Hahaha!

The whining and droning noises were still all around. But, someone starting the drilling and banging (Fire Sprinkler fitting?) in the flat nearby, took off the hassle of the ever-present humming noise.

4Thu04I got the ablutions sorted next. With stunning results… are you ready? Here goes; Only two dropsies! The battle with the sock glide was won, without pain or injury! And, the sink water was flowing away much easier! The pins I thought were looking a bit betterer today, too! Smug Mode Engaged! Jim-dandy!

The delightfully appealing Phlebotomy Nurse arrived and soon had me sorted out, and the blood was taken. (And cheered up a little, her attendance always cheers me up, even when she tells me off. Hehe!) I was too late to catch the 09:30 bus to town. So, I titivated around a bit. Then got some computer checking on the updates done and corrected, computer off, and readied the things for the outing to the City Centre. I think a World Market is on in Nottingham’s Slab Square; I might get around it and take some photographicalisations.

I set off, dropping the black bags down the waste chute, the knees giving me agony, (Two 19-hour plus days and not getting out, has annoyed the knees. Hahaha!), down in the lift, and along the link-passage into Winwood Court, and to the Obersturmfhuress’s and Catwalk Models Wardens Julie and Deana’s interrogation and holding cells office, where Julie was with a gang of builders. I just walked into the middle of the huddle and disturbed them, handing out the nibble bag. Then, out to the bus stop on Chestnut Way.

A super chinwagging session, with a lot of laughter, sarcasm and mild insults flowing to and fro. Great fun! The L9 to town arrived first, and I mounted with some other tenants and got the crossword book out en route.

4Thu07aI got off at the terminus on Queen Street, and poddled down to the Slab Square and Council House. There was a ‘Spend Your Money’ market on. Foreign foods, knick-knackery stalls, etcetera available for me to wander through taking photographs, later on, after the urgent job of overspending on things unneeded at the 4Thu07Poundland shop, which I visited first thing.

I noticed a Your Bus pulling out, bound for a roundabout route to Derby. I felt a little sad, that I have not been to Derby on that bus, since having the stroke, and determined to try and get out again sometime.

In the Poundland Store, I did the usual buying too much. I arrived at the self-serve tills with a right load. Pork Farms pork pie (2), More drain unblocker, bleach, Gold bars, Poptastic crisps for the nibble bag, Dettol disinfectant, Almonds and Cashew nuts as a self-treat, and a BLT ready-made sandwich. Enough to have to use the heavy-duty carrier and fill the trolley bag.

WDPright02WD 100.20.0 I paid up, and as I was leaving the store, Dizzy Dennis attacked, and I had to stop for ten-minutes to regain my equilibrium. I was left feeling so weary and tired afterwards, it bothered me. So, against the wishes of my RAI (Rheumatoid Arthur Itis) knees, I foolishly had a sit down on one of the benches outside for a short time. Oh, getting up again was a heck of bother and discomfort, Tsk!

4Thu06But up I did get, and painfully moved over to South Parade and into the Slab Square for a photograph session.

Walking was not easy, RIA and a few more mini-dizzies saw to that for me. Humph, and thanks for that!

I made my way into the Market Place, and nervously got hobbling along the lines of stalls to see what was on offer.  Various take-way food stalls, finnimbrun, Wine stalls, foreign beers stalls, and the regular alcohol stand for Nottingham’s bibacious addicts:

4Thu13This Police Car and another one, were patrolling through the crowds all the time I was there?

I wish I knew why. Terrorists? Escaped prisoners? Meal selecting officers? It must be important to let two vehicles and four officers out knocking over shoppers, surely? Hehe!

1Mon02 - CopyI later had a look to see if I could find any reason on the web.

I couldn’t but did find this snippet: Old Market ‘Scare’ (instead of Square) will be returning to Nottingham as Slab Square’s next big event – and there’s going to be a terrifying new attraction. Halloween?

4Thu14I had a walk around the outside of the Council House and took this snap from High Street up towards Upper Parliament Street, though Clumber Street. Showing the gay, abandoned, merry, happy smiles of my fellow Nottinghamian’s as they go from shop to shop on their shoplifting and benefit claiming outings. Hehe! Sorry, I couldn’t resist it!

WDPright02WD 100.20.0 I limped down Long Row, up Queen Street, and to the L9 bus stop. I started to fade, flaked-out, succumbed to the sudden fatigue, while waiting for the bus. No more dizzies, though, just weltschmerz, all-in, and unbelievably exhausted! Concentration dissipated, interest flagged, and nothing mattered more than my desire for sleep. So much so, that on the bus home, I fell asleep several times, and was lucky enough to wake up at Winwood Heights bus stop, as it went around the island and I nearly fell off of the precarious side-saddle seat! Else I may well have missed it, and ended up in Bestwood! Still, I could have swiped my pass again and stayed on for the return journey. But, would I have fallen asleep again and ended up back in town. Hehehe! Oh dear! Tsk!

4Thu15I can’t really recall getting from the bus to the flat.

I took the medications. Handwashing was ignored. Got the meal ready, an all-cold affair, I dare not have risked any cooking, and falling asleep again!

I think I enjoyed the meal, though. Found a scribbled FR 8/10 on the notepad later. I assume it was for Flavour-Rating 8/10.

WDPright02WD 100.20.0 Then, the phone rang out. It was Tamsin from the Falls Team. She had arranged for a chap to call on me, regarding the wheeler guide and they may have one to swap the current one with, that might be of a more stable- design for me. Initially, the date given me for the gentleman to visit me, was next Thursday, but not until 15:00hrs. I explained about this being a little late in the day for me, and she kindly looked up the next free date and booked it in when I agreed and thanked her graciously. This would be for Friday 11th October, at 09:30hrs. I wrote it down on the pad, to remind me to add it to the calendar in the morning. How kind of Tasmin!

I managed to get the washing up done.

WDPright02WD 100.20.0 Then just as got down in the grotty recliner. The landline rang and flashed again! I struggled up and got to the phone in time before it stopped. It was the Doctor’s surgery, with the INR results and new dosages for me.  Mon 2, every other day 1½. (So, the dubious-looking to me pill-splitter should get some use this week, Hehe!) The next date for an INR Warfarin blood test will be for 3rd October, and she will inform the Phlebotomy HQ for me. I thanked her, and considered suicide… but decided instead to try and get some sleep…Please! Hahaha! I added the date and time to the list on the notepad.

WDPright02WD 100.20.0 I got down again, in the Brother-in-Law Pete damaged while he was stealing my valuables when I was in hospital, £300, second-hand, near-dilapidated, gungy-beige coloured, c1968, sometimes working, but not tonight recliner, I nodded off within a few minutes. But soon woke with a jump. Wondering what day it was, where I was, who I was, and why! Unfortunately, this repeated itself, many times, and getting to sleep proper, took me hours. So much for catching up on my sleep, then. Grumble-Sodit-Blast!

A most irritating feeling of ‘Feduppedness’ festered!

Tsk!

Inchcock – Wednesday 25th September 2019: A busy, frustrating day! Finding the new balcony crumbling was interesting, though. Photo’s provided!

3Wed001

03:15hrs: I woke, reluctantly, and in a self-imposed, premeditative frame of mind. After just a few moments vacillating, I decided to get at least a start made, on trying to sort-out the Amazon deliveries. It was manifest that the trolley-guide delivered was going to need some construction, assembly, and DIY skills to assemble it. Such skills and capabilities that I do not possess! No-Confidence-Mode-Adopted! But, at least I was in a slightly better mood this morning, and was determined to have a go!

Oddly, I felt I was more clear-headed than for a long time, as I rose from the Brother-in-Law Pete damaged while he was flat-sitting, when I was in the Stroke Ward, and he fitted new CCTC cameras, and searched for my valuables, which he found and took, (I still haven’t got them back yet four-months later), £300, second-hand, near-dilapidated, gungy-beige coloured, c1968, recliner. No wee-weeing was required?

3Wed01eI noticed the ordered things in a neat pile, completely blocking up my mini-hallway. They’ll have to be sorted soon!

I wandered into the kitchen, and got the kettle on, then imbibed the medications. A call to the Porcelain Throne arrived via the suddenly rumbling and almost squelching movements and sounds from the innards! Off to the wetroom. Well, well, the evacuation was practically a pleasure! Much more comfortable, and no bleeding! Wunderbar!

WDPrightWD 0.30.0b I decided as I was in there anyway, to get the ablutions done early. An ablutionalisationing session with a series of dropsies throughout. Toilet roll dropped (straight into the WC!), Toothpaste then the toothbrush. Facecloth (x3), Razor (x2), and the aftershave bottle. No toe-stubbings and I avoided using the injurious, dangerous sock-glide, I left the socks off! Hehe!

3Wed001bWDPright WD 0.30.0bA I did have a sudden Hitler Salute from the right arm, and a little Neuropathic Schuhplattler dance from the right leg – both at the same time! I’m not sure how or what I had cut my head on. As a guess, I’d say the razor in the right hand, as it offered it loyalty to Herr Hitler pose. Then it shot off into the shower area as the dandy lost its grip, and rebounded back down on the bonce!

3Wed01cYet not one outburst of frustration from me, I took it all in my stride. (Smug-Mode-Adopted) Not a single naughty word passed my mouth! (Although, a couple may have sneaked silently into my mind) Haha!

The pins (legs), were looking a lot better this morning, and no bleeding from any papsules or clopidogrel’s welts. Plus, the fluid retentions was still low. I was pleased about that! Lucubrations permeated the brain for a few seconds or so. But not the worrying, all ‘Doom and Gloom’ regular ones that visit me! This little brain-blast was merely to inform me that the sorting-out of the new arrivals must be tended to, and the expected strawberries and limoncello treats on there way from Morrisons, taken to the wardens holding cells, and the Spices down to Jenny’s, later. 3Wed01f

I unpacked the deliveries. As should have been axiomatic to me, the new Made in China, (come think of it, everything I ordered was Chinese made) three-wheeled tri-walker, I found it to be in need of a lot of assembling. The empty box, I am going to use for the recycling storage, before taking it down to the caretaker’s room on the front of the flats, when it get filled-up. 3Wed01ga

I extracted it from the box and moved the guide to the front room. To await my attentions and no doubt feeble efforts to assemble it. I have a fitment coming today, so I can take the walking stick with me when I use the trolley. I’ll most likely make a cock-up of fitting that as well and then brakes, bars, basket etc. Humph!

3Wed01iThe Chinese made… (Oh, I’ve already mentioned that, sorry) Oven ‘Copper-Crisper’, must be resisted for the moment. Since I am making a determined effort to cut back on the chips intake, I’ve been gobbling! Whether I will be tempted today, is questionable, to say the least. But being as I had planned a salad of sorts, maybe my fortitude and strong-mindedness will prevail?

3Wed01JThe Hearing Aid Impaired Wristlets were utter and complete, absolute rubbish!

The one of the two I bought and adorned first lost its lettering doing so!

Never mind, the Warfarin one should be arriving today sometime.

3Wed01TThe ‘Tablet crusher and slicer’ has a blade in the lid for slicing pills. I assume because there is no instructions come with it. It looks very delicate, so I’ll take care when I use it for the first time tonight.

I then ignored all the mess around me and the apartment and got on the computer to update and send off the Tuesday post to WordPress.

Made another brew, then I went on the WP Reader.

Then took two photographs from the gallery of the morning view.

3Wed01L

3Wed01pThe Morrison delivery arrived at 06:55hrs.

By gum, it was raining out there! The poor chap dropped the wet bags inside the doorway, and seemed to in a rush, as he was only just within the hour allotted for the delivery. Nice chap. He sounded Polish or Lithuanian. Thanked him and wished him well as he shot off.

3Wed01QI moved the ordered goods into the kitchen, working my way through the rubbish and mess the place was now in. Tsk!

I’d not over-ordered this morning. I got some treats for Jenny and the Wardens to hand out later. If the Amazon stuff comes early, I might get out to the shops, properly. We’ll see.

3Wed01sI got the bags unloaded and but the stuff for the fridge and freezer on the server trolley. I’m so glad they have the limoncello desserts on offer, so I can hand some around.

The apples were English Worcestershire. But I can’t wait for Cox’s Pippins to arrive. I had got too much milk in, but this was soon corrected when I made another brew. The smell of the Cavendish bottle in the fridge encouraged me to throw away the contents. Eurgh!

I started doing some graphics on CorelDraw for the dairy, or even Diary Tops.

0850hrs, I took the treats to hand-out for Jenny and the wardens. I went without the camera, Tut! Dropped the straws and limoncello off at the Wardens Holding-Cell/Office. On my way back, I diverted from going to Jenny’s, as I thought it might be too early to catch them awake and about yet. I’ll go later.

As I got back in the flat, that droning noise seemed to be getting louder again. Drives you bonkers! On the computer and…

Virg green

Hard work! The landline rang and lit up. The line was so bad, the lady who I think from bits of the conversation that I did get was from the Falls Team, was impossible. She rang back, and the line was much better. They’d had a cancellation and wanted to call to see me this afternoon around 14:30hrs. I thanked her and assured her I would be in.

I carried on updating this blog for hours. Now with Amazon expected at any time, and the Tamsin Peach (It sounded like anyway) calling from the Geriatric Falls Team, I will not be to visit Jenny with the nibbles. Ah, well, plenty of life in the limoncello yet.

3Wed10a WDPrightWD 0.30.0b I set about building the new three-wheeled-guide. I cannot express in words, the struggle, farce, frustration and failure in my enterprise of putting together the ill-made poor quality various parts! The handles I cannot get to fit without rattling around in the slots. A DIYer, I’m certainly not. I can’t even blame the fingers, hands, shoulder or leg for my downfall. Because they were not playing up. Tsk!

As I was finishing, or rather giving up on mechanical stuff, the intercom rang out. It was the Occupational Therapist, Tasmin Peach, from the Falls Team come to see me.

We spent a couple of hours going through things. Blood Pressure reading and making sure the current medical history is up to date. History, hopes, and taking extra care were disgust. A charming, social and delightful lady, indeed.

3Wed10She departed, which made me sad, it always makes me feel a little blue when any carers leave, me. (Yes, I’m a sad old scoundrel! Haha!)

I got the chestnut mushroom in the saucepan with some Balsamic vinegar, and Light Soy sauce added.

WDPrightWD 0.30.0bA I got returned to the updating of this diary. Got carried away a bit, and the smell of the liquid coming out over the saucepan onto the stove, made me panic somewhat! Grumble-Sodit-Blast! Argh! One heck-of-a-job cleaning that all up! I had to transfer the mushrooms to a larger one, and wash the semi-burnt receptacle! Humph!

3Wed04I took a photo of the view outside, bootiful it was!

I spent a few minutes pondering over if there is something I’m doing wrong, that might be causing the falls.

Then had a rarity for today, a wee-wee.

3Wed11Back to the computerisationing. I checked on the Tracker again for the Walking Stick fittings. Judging from what I learnt from yesterdays timing, I reckoned there would b about two hours to go before it would arrive at the apartment. It already being so late in the day for me, 17:00hrs, and well beyond my head-down time, I must ensure that I keep doing something. I do not want to fall asleep and miss the intercom or doorbell sounding.

I updated this blog to here and started to do some graphics on CorelDraw to use as page tops headers and ‘Thoughts’ for later on.

WDPStraightWD 0.30.0b The curtains suddenly fell off of the hooks on the balcony top! I kid you not! Without rhyme nor reason, I had to rehook six of the flaming things! I got the stepladder from the balcony, and gingerly mounted it. Only two steps, but it was painful and trying for the RAI (Rheumatoid Arthur Itis) knees. More worrying than the hassle and pain, was the mystery of why they would all unexpectedly, and instantaneously drop off at the same time? Tim Hancock will know. He worked out that: The Mysteries of my beloved Woodthorpe Court. That lies somewhere between the twilight zone and a wormhole slipping through a tear in the fabric of space & the universal continuum, illusion, delusion, & hallucination! Aliens, perhaps? The Return of the Boll Weevils? Ghosts? Or the building’s getting ready to collapse? Ah, I had a look outside and found some crumbling of the new cement and concrete above the balcony! Also, found some bits of grey coloured stone had fallen onto and in between the planks! Dang dang, dang! Well, it has been done for about two months now. One cannot expect it to last much longer. Sarcasm thrown in there, my pleasure!

3Wed12a

In the event of Woodthorpe Court flats collapsing shortly, would you please:

  • Kindly let the Nottingham City Homes Management, know that I warned them! Hehehe!
  • Oh, and remind Sister Jane about my funeral all being paid for in advance, she’s got the details.
  • Yes, and Recliner-breaking crook, Brother-in-Law Pete, tell him not to bother returning the valuables he stole while I was in the hospital. But only, of course, in the event of my being crushed to death, or however I croak out. For God’s sake, don’t tell him to keep it if I’m still alive! Thanks, Tim, Lynton, Ian and Clive.

The tracker for the parcel was in the same position when I rechecked it again. It’s not easy for us older folk, having to not fall asleep! Staying awake is just as hard!

Back to the graphicationalisationing… Huh!

VirDown 0.30.0

Sufferin’ succotash! Cozens! Scumbering-Swine! Ay, caramba! Unreliable Fries! Gits!

3Wed12bComputer off. Black bags. Wee-wee.

Amazon check. Getting closer!

Amazon arrived!

I must get some sleep.

Phlebotomy nurse arriving in the morning to 3Wed14take the Warfarin INR blood. Wonderful woman, I hope she will take some Manner Lemon Wafers, as a thank you, for her patience and extra help phoning the surgery etcetera, and her tolerance and understanding with me when I get dates mixed up and so on.

The computer still very slow, I gave up again.

3Wed18I did the handwashing and hung it to try, only one shirt tonight.

As the thought of the daily battle with the sock-glide, which more often than not, the sock-glide would win, combined with my not needing them with staying in again all day, I just left the socks off. (Coward Class 1 – Grade A, speaking!)

3Wed22WDPStraightWD 0.30.0b I checked on the brand new, not-working now correctly, again intercom screen, to view the Foyer entrance. Boing! The Mysteries of my beloved Woodthorpe Court. That lies somewhere between the twilight zone and a wormhole slipping through a tear in the fabric of space & the universal continuum, illusion, delusion, & hallucination, strikes again!

3Wed2119:50hrs, Amazon arrived. I didn’t hear the pathetically weak, considering they have put them in an old folks dwellings, and it is still not working correctly. The delivery driver had got in anyway and delivered this parcel for me.

I just photographed it, put it down, and made a start on making the nosh, I was as weary and tired as I have been for years.

3Wed24WDPStraightWD 0.30.0b Straight on with nosh making. I weakened in my resolve about not eating any chips (fries), but at least I only did a few. I used the new Chip-Crisper set-up. I agree with the claim that it would make the food crisp, it did. But, some of them had hard bits in the middle? I was not impressed at first but thought afterwards, I may not have left them in long enough, with my impatient craving for food? The Morrison chestnut mushrooms might as well have been slices of cardboard! Morrison’s organic tomatoes (that I cannot remember ordering?), were bitter. The Morrison Worcester apple, soft fleshed and crumbly! The Morrison chopped beetroot reminded me of grape nuts! The Milk Roll bread from Morrisons on Special Price was alright, as was their butter on them, but the German Smoked Ham was bland, tasteless and plastic-like. Morrison’s salad was okay. Even the Limoncello dessert tasted just like sugar – what happened to the lemon? I may sound critical, and possibly my overtiredness affect the flavour? But for a Taste-Rating, I give only 5/10!

WDPStraightWD 0.30.0bA I went to do the washing up, as I was handing paraphernalia onto the drying board, the dang right arm gave just one, not too violent, imitation Hitler salute. But it was enough for me to end up with a right mess and mangle of plates, dishes, pots, cutlery and trays, knocked off of the draining board, landing on the floor and my corn! Oh, and bruising my knuckles against the cupboard side, on the wall! I thought about fetching the camera but decided I’d had enough Whoopsies, and got on with retrieving and rewashing them, and cleaning it all up. The place looked a right mess, even after I’d tidied it up!

I eventually made my way, bypassing the giant box the trolley came it, being used for recyclable storage. The shrewd about bits left-over from new Walker construction. Tools. General rubbish that reminded me of Steptoe & Son’s front room, in miniature, and into the £300, second-hand, c1968, horrendously beige-coloured, rickety, not-working (Thanks to Bother in law Pete!), recliner.

Shattered!
