Inchcockum – Thursday 9th July 2020: Enoxaparin Injections to Continue – Amazon Delivery – Upsurge in Coronavirus in Nottingham. Oh, dearie me!

01:30hrs: I was having a dream about my being chased in tunnels underground again! I found a small cave and hid in it; it was a harem. I woke up spreadeagled all over the £300, c1968, second-hand, not-working, sickenly beige-coloured recliner! The quilt had been thrown over the swivel chair, the bottle of spring water was on the floor along with the camera and Enoxaparin-filled box of needles, the toes were stinging something rotten. I mused, over why?

: Soon, my childish interest in the unfathomable waned. When, as I straightened my embarrassingly bulbous-bellied body, and caught my little finger on the arm of the chair (Again!). It didn’t half hurt! I fear this is the start of rheumatics in the fingers now. The skin looked rather pale this morning. As if I needed something else to help me drop things! Cragknockers!

I launched myself off of the recliner, caught by dodgy balance, grabbed the stick, and made my way to the kitchenette. Slowly and carefully, I might add. For my EQ had warned me to, that was good enough for me!

I got the kettle on, nipped for a wee-wee of a surprising RPOD (Reluctant-Painful-Orange-Dribbling) variety.

Washed the dandies, got the kettle on, and took the morning medications.

I had to have a think through on whether I needed to do an Enoxaparin injection or not. But with the INR nurse coming again today for the blood sample, I think not. Got the BP taken. The body temp was 82.5°f. Made the brew and left it to cool down, I don’t want the Toothache to get any worse.

Then, I took a shot of the poor right legs, uncut toes! Not a pretty sight! Hehe!

I started to update the Wednesday blog, and this took me ages! Concentration was lacking this morning, mistakes with the help and without the help of Shuiddering-Shoulder-Shirley and Nicodemus’ Neurotransmitters failing. I struggled through, and before checking it, I got the crock-pot in use, to make another of the beef stews. The beef in first, with some vegetable and beef gravy seasonings. Added some red onions, sliced and without any blood being spilled (Smug-Mode-Adopted!). A few Piccolo tomatoes, and as a silly after-thought, I added some Stubbs Hickory liquid smoke. I fear this may prove to be a mistake, but it’s too late now. Unglefrogwogglings!

Then,  after a wee-wee, I made up a template for this diary. Went on the WordPress reader. Checked the nosh again, all looking good, took a photo of the now misty and raining view. It’s been drizzling on and off all morning.

Then off to get the ablutions tended to.

It was a little early, but with my going without a shower for two mornings now, I just had to have one. And before the time for the nurse to arrive.

Very few dropsies this session in the wet room, I reckon about six. A dizzy in the shower, and a couple of cuts shaving. Toothache Thomas was bad. Overall though, a decent result.

Checked the Emails, and Amazon now tells me that the Dettol and Lemon disinfectants will not be arriving today after all, but tomorrow before 20:00hrs! I bet it changes again! Splerminescence! However, the Hoisin sauce will be arriving today, before 22:00hrs. Ha! Tracked it, and it looks to me like it should be here this afternoon or teatime. Which is bedtime for me, usually? (He spouts confidently!)

I spent some time catching up on the WordPress Comments. Then went onto Facebooking. The nurse is due about now (09:30hrs). She told me she’d be here on twixt 08:00 & 10:00hrs. Well, it’s 10:50hrs now, no nurse yet.

The phlebotomy nurse arrived fifteen minutes later. She was with me for about five minutes. Obviously, the gal was in a rush. But kept pleasantness about her. And had to press-on, with her being all behind on her roster. Thank you, M’am.

I got an update on Nottingham’s Coronavirus status. It was not good! Oh, dear!

I made some graphics up on CorelDraw. I was checking on the nosh in between.

Nosh prepping, got spuds in oven. I finished one graphic and then served up the nosh.

Half-way through it, and the intercom chimed and flashed.

I did a toe-stubbing on the way to the machine. I gritted my teeth and muttered a few curses under my breath. Grampshackle-Globberisations!

An Amazon delivery had arrived. It was the Dettol Lavender & Orange oil medicated disinfectants, all six bottles! I got them checked and put away, leaving one out to use, under the sink.

Thanked the chap and slipped him a can of G&T. I’m glad I got these now, what with a possibility, nay, expectancy, of a Coronovavirus re-lockdown in Nottingham.

Back to the food, and finished off the rest of the meal. A flavour rating of 8/10 for this one. I got the pots and pans washed up, and found something on TV, erm…Law & Order it was, with subtitles to watch without the use of the headphones. There was a chance of the Hoisin Sauce being delivered, so I had the task of staying awake until it arrived.

Krucklebads! I fell asleep! When I woke up, I wondered if I’d missed the delivery, so went in hopes of finding the box at the front door outside. Well, well, well! There was the box Hoisin, on the floor! Phew!

Plastic bottles this time, which suited old fumble-fingers here down to the ground! Sorting out the bottles, well, I stuck them in the corner. Then I noticed last nights used Enoxaparin needle. I’ll get it in the yellow Contaminated Sharps box, and went in the front (junk) room, and promptly fell asleep again.

The landline lit up and flashed, “Aha, I said to myself” (well I was the only person present, Hehe!) that will be the Anticoagulation, Deep Vein Thrombosis, Warfarin clinic with the results of this mornings rest. It was.

Julie, who explained the INR, was still too low, at 1.8, (3.5 targetted) and I must keep on with injecting two Enoxaparins a day until Monday night. The Warfarin Doses are to be:

Tonight x3, Fri x3, Sat & Sun 2½ tablets. And the next blood test will be on Monday. I thanked her muchly, then set about the self-inoculating procedures.

All done, I realised I’d not had a chance to ask the nurse about the Sharps Bin getting full. Humph! Well, she was very busy and in a rush.

I filled in the record log with what I’d done and took the evening medications.

I hadn’t noticed before, but on the cover of the log folder, were contact names and telephone numbers. I’ll get these in the Diary just in case I ever need them. Not that I can hear what they are saying over the phone, it’s even worse now the Audio Clinic is in lock-down, and getting hearing aid batteries is nigh-on impossible. I’m not allowed on buses; physically, things are that bad, I can’t walk too far, never mind getting to the Clinic, which is closed anyway.

So, why am I rambling on? There is an answer to that question. But it will most-likely involve words like; senescence, senility, senectitude, Ethonomia, septuagenarian and bonkersness. So, it’s best, perhaps if I do not try to find it!

I went to get a drink of spring water, and it was pelting down outside. As I took a picture with the Nikon camera, I noticed in the dead-end street ahead of me, were two gentlemen, Socially distanced in the middle of the road having a natter.

The circle in the top photo shows roughly the zoomed-in area, I took the second snap of, below. But in this rain! I take it they were both pluviophiles. They must have been soaked to the skin. Yet I wish I could have been out there with them! I was quite pleased with the Nokia pictures, considering the weather.

Hours beyond my head-down time now. I fear not getting up in time for my Iceland delivery in the morning.

Hey-Ho!

Inchcockski – Tues 30 June 20: No sleep, Blood Test, Fire Alarm, Stubbed Toe and dropped a mug of tea, Paramedics on site, Morrison mess with the order. Humph!

Tuesday 30th June 2020

Sinhala: 2020 ජුනි 30 වන අඟහරුවාදා

23:25hrs: No sleep at all, Sweet Morphious, denied me by being woken up repeatedly; callers, Toothache Thomas and Anne Gyna, all successful in ensuring I got no rest. Groggleknockers!

I decided to give up! I edged my colossally-stomached, wobbly-torsoed body and skinny-dangly legs, out of the £300, second-hand, not-working, c1968, rickety recliner. Off for a wee-wee.

Ah, things were better this time! A bit more force and less spraying. Still the green-grey colour, mind.

Off I plodded to the kitchenette, every step taken was an example of coping with pain. From the toes and feet! (A little sympathy prompting there, sorry about that!) The late-night view was difficult to photograph. I had four goes on different settings before I got a shot that was as close as dammit to what it looked like in the viewer. This one was with the Aperture Priority selected. The Night Panorama that I tried produced a black picture only?

I got the kettle on and did the first of the Health Checks.

The sphygmomanometer results were the best for ages! SYS 136, DIA 64, Pulse 80, and the body temperature was just showing up as low. (It does that, it goes from the reading to high or low, when I am insensate and not quick enough to get it out of my ear-hole to have a look, Hehe!) Ah, well!

I took the medications and made a mug of Glengettie Gold Tea. On the first sip of the brew, I started hiccuping. Two-hours later, when I got around to writing this, I was still hiccuping! I hope this did not bother Herbert above me, for they were loud and vicious disembogue’s, irritating, almost non-stop!

So annoying and frustrating! I tried the drinking of the luke-warm tea from the opposite side of the mug.

I shouldn’t have done that! Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters failed at the wrong time, and I dropped my mug and created a picklement for myself! Bugglesworthlessness!

On the light at the end of the tunnel search: The miracle of it hitting my left knee and depositing some hot tea, down the leg as mentioned above, then bouncing off of my knee, and straight into the waste bin, pleased me! Amazingly the mug didn’t break (that’s twice I’ve dropped it in the last three days), and the mess was minimal because of where it came to rest. So, the cleaning up was more straightforward, and the foul language was not so severe as it might have been! A smidge of good luck there methinks!

I cleared up the mess and went to make another mug of tea. I got the pork shoulder steaks, with new potatoes in the crockpot cooking. I added sea salt, Light Soy sauce, some pork gravy granules, and seasoning. (Too much methinks?) I’m not sure how old the gravy and seasoning is, but it still hadn’t dissolved two hours later?  Have I viliorated my meal planning? Having a feeling that this is not going to have a happy ending, and my EQ backed me up.

The day is breaking now! I updated the Inchcocks Photos widget on the blog. Replaced with all Winwood Heights people now and then. I updated the Monday post. WordPress Reader. Next, on to the Facebooking.

The wee-wees had decreased. Anne Gyna had eased off. Toothache Thomas, the feet and toes continue as the main pain-donators. Haha!

Then, the Phlebotomy Nurse, Christina, let herself in the flat. She’d been pressed in by someone in the foyer. Didn’t half make me jump! Hahaha! A good job, I’d taken the wash and shave early, and had some clothes on! Gawd that would have made her jump more than her arrival made me! Pity, she was in a great rush again, that’s why she had to come so early. She still managed a bit of nattering while she took the blood, Bless her cotton socks ♥.

I felt a bit peckish, and I went to get some biscuits and made a fresh mug of Glengettie tea. Dizzy Dennis kicked off while making the brew. Humph! Two hours later, I limpingly meandered off to get the Ablutions tended to.

Ablutionalisticalisationing Report:

  • The need for the Porcelain Throne arrived. Much easier than yesterday. Not so messy, and far less painful! Only two dropsies.
  • Toothache Thomas made cleaning the teeth a grindingly, agonising job!
  • The shaving had a few clangers involved. Cuts were in fashion this morning. Several of them, but every one of them was tiny, yet bled a lot more than usual.
  • The Shaving dropsies just might have been a record. I lost count of the times the Jenny-supplied picker-upperer was used! Razors about six times if I recall rightly, the foam and the After-Shave bottle I used to stop the bleeding.
  • The medicationalisation went better than usual, though. Only dropped Harold Haemorrhoids cream once, the Germolid the same! I did come close to losing the Olive-Oil-dropper, but I kept control. Smug-Mode-Adopted!
  • The deodorant, Saccades Sandra Spray, and room freshener were all dropped several times! Humph!   A final fling, as if to put it. Hahaha!

The knees looked much better, and the leg veins were shy today. Oh, I’ve just noticed, I’m no longer Hiccuping!

Off to check on the pork in the slow cooker. The seasoning I’d added, had still not dissolved? (I must be careful and make sure everything is safe before I make it into a stew).

On closer inspection, I found that the pork shoulder was already cooked, and was soft. The potatoes were still hard. And I’d forgotten to put the mushrooms in the mix.

No problem, mind you. My absent-mindedness, paramnesia, and blank-spells were ion existence before the stroke. It’s just that since then, they have taken up permanent residence within the grey-cells! As with the Peripheral Neuropathy and Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters, they are a part of Inchcocks make-up nowadays. I took out the pork and some gravy and added them to the saucepan with the peas.

As I was pondering on whether to take another picture from the unwanted, unliked, thick-framed, thick-framed, impossible to get at to clean (without risking life and limb to use the step ladders), letting the rain in, new kitchen windows. I put the kettle on to boil again, the flats Fire Alarms sounded.

By the time I got to the balcony and opened the finger trapping end window, that also lets the rain in, well, they all do, the first of the tenders responding arrived. Followed a minute later by the second vehicle.

The crews strolled into the foyer. Judging by their casual and ambling approach, I took it that they didn’t expect the alarm to indicated there was a real fire. After all, it must be three weeks or so now, since the Winchester Court Fire. Longer since a Woodthorpe Court one. The crews were on their way home within five minutes. Thank you, lads!

When I nipped onto the balcony to see if the chaps had departed, I took a snap through the window of the end of Chestnut Walk. I didn’t want to risk injury opening the lethal metal spring clip window again. No, that’s wrong. That window is just impossible to open, too tight. The maintenance men tried for me five months or so ago, and they couldn’t do it. It was when they came to look at the plaster breaking up on the ceiling of the balcony. Naturally, they have not been back.

I opened the left end window that one works! To take the 2nd shot in the other direction. The picture looked pretty with the oh-so green trees.

Then onto CorelDraw to do some graphics.

Oops! Time for the mobile shop, it’ll be here in twenty minutes. So, I put Computer Cameron in Sleep-Mode and got the wheels, cash and down to the ground floor… well, that was the plan, anyway!

A new system has been set-up for the lifts again. Sensible, but time-consuming! As it is, we are only allowed one resident in a lift at a time. So, it can be a long wait to get the elevator at times. Now, we can only one lift, the right one is for residents & Visitors, the left one is reserved for Construction Workers Only. As I say, understandable, but so frustrating.

The Construction Workers lift kept coming and the door opening, repeatedly. I leant in, and pressed the ground floor button, then pushed the call button (Which works for the nearest lift). The Workers lift kept coming back up and tempting me to be naughty, but I resisted! This happened three times. Would I make it down in time to catch the mobile shop? Dang, dang, dang… Dang! Hehehe!

By the time I’d got down to the ground floor, the electronic sign informed me I had a minute to get outside before the ETA of the shop.

Luckily, it was a few minutes late in coming. It was nice to have someone to natter to, even from a safe-distancing way away.

It was windy out there, one gal had not got a jacket on either. Brr! I took this picture while awaiting my turn. I got some bits, about three, the chap had not the other three items I fancied. Can’t be helped!

As I said my farewells and got back into the flats, it dawned on me how much I’d spent to buy this few items? I purchased four tomatoes as well. Had to tell him that two were rotten and gone soft. He changed them for me. Well, the chap is new to the game, and a life-saver at times, so no complaints from me. He was a used-car salesman before the danged Coronavirus arrived. His missus doesn’t come out with him anymore, here is the entrepreneurs’ story link: Car Salesman starts Mobile Shop.

Josie came in behind me and insisted I take a pint of semi-skinned milk for the one I let her have on Friday. I said, “I don’t use semi skinned, I prefer to use whole milk, but less of it.”- “Why did you have it in then?” – “I kept it in reserve with it being long-life, just in case” Anyway, she forced it on me. Hehehe!

We got up to the flats, and Josie held the door open for me to get in with the trolley, bless! I got in with the bits bought – £6 something for these. The apples were of particular interest. The label read, Product of France. The apples look tasty, so I got one out to nibble. The stick-on tag on the fruit read, Grown in New Zealand. I took a couple of the seedless grapes to try, and noticed there were a lot of bare fruitless stalks! Hahaha!

I’m getting a smidge tired now, nearing my usual nosh and head-down time. But, I need to stay awake for the Morrison delivery arriving late on. So, back to the CorelDrawing for a while. Hello, a phone call coming in, I hope it’s Sister Jane to tell me how she and Pete’s coping.

Nope! It was the Morrison delivery man Julian, saying he might be arriving early. So I saved the work, turned off Computer Cameron, and got ready for him arriving. I took a peep outside to see if I could see the van…

I thought at first, it was the Morrison van. But on a closer look, I’m afraid it was the Emergency Ambulance. Oh, dear!

A few minutes later, and the fodder arrived. The chap put the carriers in the hallway for me, I thanked him, slipped him a can of G&T, and took them through to the kitchen and stored them away.

Well, they made a right mess of the oven trays I’d ordered. They charged me for 1×2 large trays and sent just one (Crushed) individual one! And 2×4 small trays and I didn’t get any, but the label that goes on them, was in a carrier? I’ll be so glad when I can get out and buy food for myself. Humph! The two packets of sweet potato pancakes were one! I was all confused!

And muggings here thanked them and gave him a treat! Frangleklops!

I got the stuff put away, and got the meal served up. At least this turned out alright. Made even tastier with the two Sourdough muffins dipped in the gravy! A stew of sorts. Onions, mushrooms, pork shoulder, all overseasoned with Soy sauce, Balsamic vinegar, tasty juices, canned potatoes and garden peas.  Flavour Rating: 7/10.

Got the washing in the bowl to soak overnight. And down into the £300, second-hand, rickety recliner, in search of sleep. Which surprisingly came sharpishly.

The landline flashed. I hazily of mind, struggled up to answer it. It was the Doctor’s surgery, with the new dosages for the Warfarin, from the Anticoagulation, Deep Vein Thrombosis Unit. Tue 2½, Wed 2, Thur 2½, Frid 2½, Sat 2½, Sunday 2. There was no number for Monday? Unless, in my half-awake state, I missed it. Which is a possibility? The next blood test is in on Tuesday 7th June.

I wrote the figures down, thanked her, and climbed back into the none-working, sickeningly beige-coloured, c1968 recliner. In search of Sweet Morphious once more.

This time with a lot more success!

Apart from several disturbances to have wee-wees. (All of the RPD (Reluctant-Painful-Dribbling) variety, I must have got, ready for it… six hours kip in between! Great!

Inchcockski – Sunday 28th June 2020: A mansuetude lingered amidst the mayhem, today!

TFZer Pattie ♥

03:30hrs: After waking and nodding off again several times, I forced myself to activate the brain and limbs (I needed a wee-wee!), and rose from the depths of the slowly disintegrating, £300, second-hand c1968 recliner.

The stomach where the tea spilt onto last night, was tender, the feet agony the moment I got my weight on them.

Off to the wet room, for the most sprinkling and spraying release ever! I had a job to see that much of it had reached the porcelain at all. But, on the bright side, it made me clean the WC tank, seat, floor cabinets, the floor itself and the handwashing sink. Also, various parts of my body. Christened this one a VSWAO (Viciously-Spraying-Wildy-All-Over) wee. You’d be surprised at how much had sprinkled on the arms and upper torso, too, I was!

Took the medications, and remembering yesterdays nightmare Accifauxpa, I very carefully, nervously made a brew of Glengettie Gold tea. I managed it without any further dropsies, scolding of my body parts, or injury! Phew!

Waiting for it to brew, I took a shot of the morning view. Then, imbibed the morning medications, and back to the wet room for another wee-wee. Which was of the same VSWAO mode as the first one was!

I got the Health Checks done. The SYS had come down at last. The earhole temperature of 64°f seemed fine enough.

Then I got Computer-Cameron going, and did a graphic first, then on to updating the I Saturday post. About three hours later, I’d got it finished. Then I emailed the Link. Went on the WordPress Reader. Then Facebooking. Shoulder-Shuddering-Shirley was in a good mood with me!

Still no need of the Porcelain Throne heavy-duty usage needed, yet? Off I trudged limpingly (Oh, the toes!) to get the ablutions tackled.

Ablutionisticalisationing Report:

  • The terrible Toothache Terence was triggered, cleaning the teeth.
  • The shaving took such a long time, but I was extremely wary after yesterday.  However, no cuts whatsoever!
  • The showering had few repeated dropsies. The shower gel bottle (3), the showerhead It’s a miracle it hasn’t broken yet? (2), the flannel, and the back scrubber (4).
  • Dizzy Dennis visited me towards the end of the showering, but thankfully for only a couple of minutes or so.
  • The drying off under the wall heater went almost perfectly! (Smug-Mode-Adopted!) Not a single item was knocked off of the floor cabinet (Honestly!)
  • I did make a Whoopsidangleplop when getting dressed, well a couple. I clouted my knee on the WC as I lost balance getting the trousers on. And then, putting the shirt on, I hit my right knuckle on the edge of the door. But nothing serious.

I sorted out the waste bags. Five small bags were taken to the waste chute, and the gigantic blue recycling bag had some stuff added to it. Far too big for the minuscule opening in the chute, so I can take it down to the caretaker’s room in the morning.

Back to the apartment, and a message came in from Iceland. Another round of my getting addled and disconcerted, dementia or memory loss, call it what you will. But I was convinced I’d ordered it for next Monday? Anyway, it was due to arrive in a few minutes! Sad, innit?

Minutes later, the intercom rang but then stopped after a few seconds. Now I was confused. If I got down to have a look, I might miss whoever it was of they rang back. It turned out to be the Iceland delivery driver. The chap said he had other deliveries in the block, so rang each one to let them know he was here.

He put the good through in the hall for me, I slipped him a can of G&T, then got the bags into the kitchen to sort through them.

I made a mug of Thompsons Punjana to drink while getting the things away.

I started off with the frozen stuff. Far too much to fir in the freezer! So I did mean to order these for next week? Sadly, some throwing out of food was needed to get the new stuff fitted in. By the time I’d done it, there was another bag ready to go to the waste chute!

Then, on to the fridge and fresh food bags. Mushrooms, orange juice, pork shoulder steaks. Some of what I am sure will be uneatable Morrocan tomatoes, the last lot were. The mushrooms, well-covered in nutrient-rich compost! The wholemeal rolls, crushed flat, as only Iceland know how to do. Kitchen towels, potatoes etc. Next bag, endless cakes?

I just cannot remember ordering all this lot? Blimey, if the dates are long enough, I’ll still have to hand some out, so many! Cheddar biscuits as well? Oh, and a Raspberry and cream swiss roll. (That could have been ordered, a vague memory guiltily lingers!)

Made a start on this blog for a couple of hours, then got Josie’s meal prepared and delivered. Cheesy potatoes, tomatoes, gherkins, silverskin onions, Surimi-sticks, smoked haddock, peas and beetroot. Delivered it Josie’s door. And then got some belly pork in the oven to slow-cook, coated in hoisin sauce, for my feast. Started on the computer again.

Saccades Sandra and Dizzy Dennis paid me an extended visit. I had to give up on doing the computing.

Concentrated on making the nosh… carefully, not taking any risks.

A fairish plateful, considering how Dizzy Dennis and Shirley were giving my so much bother. A score of 7.5/10

The early-weariness joined in. I got the pots washed and took the evening medications, but that was all.

I got down in the recliner and the TV on, and nodding-offs soon started. None of them lasted for longer than five minutes. Amazingly timed for me to miss and exciting bit of whatever I was watching!

But for any proper sleep, my Sweet Morpheous, I had to wait for hours!

I gave-up on the TV and laid looking lazily and lackadaisically at the rain coming down the balcony windows and in through the cracks to soak the running board.

The wee-wee trips were frequent, but each time they would have struggled to fill a tea-cup! They were getting less and less. Still, I got up and down each event without any further injuries.

Eventually, I went to make a brew of Glengettie tea, and the dying sun put in a surprise visit.

With Sweet Morpheous still refusing my requests, I put the TV back on. And was pleased to find a documentary on Freeview channel 66. I really got into it as well… During the second set of adverts, Zzzz!

Inchcockski – Saturday 27th June 2020: Whoopsidangleplops, Accifauxpas. Not one of my better days!

Seven TFZers in the Antique Shop

Saturday 27th June

Welsh: Dydd Sadwrn 27ain Mehefin

05:00hrs: It has been the worst night for sleep for many a month. Due to the Post-Micturition After-Dribble (PMAD), Diabetes insipidus. They warned me that this might take a grip on me! Boy, it did too last night! To make things worse, all the utilisationing of Little Inchie, caused the fungal lesion to bleed as well. I spent more time using the GPEB (Grey-Plastic-Emergency-Bucket) than sleeping!

All of the releases were of the OSSPAD (Orange-Sprinkly-Short-Painful-After-Dribble) type. I lost count of the number of times I had to scramble out of the £300. second-hand recliner, take a wee, then climb back into the chair again. But it was always only a few minutes at the most before the next one came along! Blanglebotherations!

I gave up trying to get any Sweet Morpheous around 05:00hrs, and needing yet another wee-wee, I rose for the last time, used the bucket, and took it to be emptied cleaned and sanitised, for the second time! I made sure I washed my hands and certain areas and disinfected the contact points.

I noticed the stomach in the shaving mirror, with the Enoxaparin needle marks scattered about. It looked quite artistic, I thought. Hehehe! I changed the PPs again, thanking heaven for my friend Michael who supplied me with them. Cheers mate!

I got the kettle on, as the sun tried to come out from behind the blocks of flats. The red sky that soon disappeared looked so pretty and beautiful.

I got the Health Checks things out; the blue sphygmomanometer, the old, smaller ear-hole thermometer, olive oil, Germolene, and the tablets. No need for the Enoxaparin hypodermic needles now that the INR level has risen.

What a shock! Thunderisations! The SYS was at 182? Far too high undoubtedly? DIA and the Pulse seemed alright, though? I’ll do an extra check, later on, to see if it’s dropped any. Perhaps the lack of sleep and frustration of all the wee-weeing overnight, might have affected it? Oh, dearie me! At least the body temperature came out alright, at 35.7°c.

I took a blind-snap of below, on Chestnut Walk. Two parking spaces free? Disabled ones?

I made the brew of Glengettie Gold, and off to the computer to get the updating done on the Friday blog. Within minutes the stomach ache started, and this meant an urgent hobble to the wet room to utilise the Porcelain Throne!

Gordon Bennet! The flesh of my highly desirous (to lions and tigers in the wild) body, was so alabaster, anaemic, and lacteous like. The legs seem to have gained a bit of meat, or fat as well. The ankle ulcer was trying to flourish again, methinks. But this often happens, then a day later it will have gone down yet?

The feet were no better. So corpselike. And hobbling was so painful to the soles and toes.

Still, the evacuation, although messier than ever, and was still khaki in colour, was less painful, and quicker.

I washed and went to make a brew of Thompson Punjana tea. The skies had gone darker, the sun had given up, and a little light drizzle had just started to fall. Maybe the Yellow Warning for floods and storms might have some validity?

I launched into concentrating on the post updating. It took me about four hours, but I got it done in the end. Emailed the links. Then answered a couple of comments, moving on to the WordPress Reader next. Finally, on Facebooking.

Then on CorelDrawing to get some graphics done. And this time, I must get some done! I managed a few, then went to do the health Checks again. A bit of a surprise on the first try, it seems I’m dead and didn’t know it. Hahaha!

I tried again and got these result on the right. Much better than the first test I did today.

I noticed the sausages in the tray ready to go in the oven, so turned on the stove heat to put them in later on. I decided it would be a good idea to make a brew of Glengettie Gold tea, and did so.

What-a-Mistaka-to-Maker! I decided there was not enough boiling water in the mug, turned the kettle on to bring it back to the boil, and for some silly reason I moved the mug with my right hand – Nicodemus’s neurotransmitters failed. And, I dropped the kettle as I tried to save the mug from being lost to my grip.  Ending up with them both on the floor!

I got the kettle up first as the electrics would be dangerous all wet, and managed to spill some hot water down my bulbous stomach and on the left foot!

Making an even bigger mess and getting myself more and more het-up!

Granglesknackersbuggerit! I used up four rolls of kitchen paper, clearing things up. Accompanied by various curses, oaths and almost spitting with it!

I bet my blood pressure has shot up again now!

Making things worserer, the right-hand side nerve-end failure, meant that some things had to be done with the left hand only. A few moments of frustration turned into another sickening self-pity-period.

To makes things even worst, I slipped on a patch of wet I’d missed as I was putting masses of towelling in the waste bin. And stubbed my toes on the cabinet door! I’d gone from an unusually semi-contented mood to one of absolute self-hatred and frustration in seconds!

I got the place cleaned as best I could. Sausages in the oven, it had taken so long to get the sorting out done, and a bit of panic began to set-in, so I imagine the cleaning will all have to be checked and done again.

For me, the day was finished. No enthusiasm left. Knowing how these things can happen with Peripheral Neuropathy, or Dizzy Dennis, Shoulder-Shaking-Shirley, Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters dying, and Neuropathic Pete’s leg dancing, still doesn’t prepare one for when a couple of the ailments kick-off together, and things like these happen. I suppose a bit of self-pity lingered about. Sorry!

I even had to force myself to make the meal. But when I came around a bit later, I was glad I did. Hahaha! I went to make some notes of exactly what had happened, but the memory-blanks were there again. But it was a good job I had these notes when it came to writing the memories of incidents.

I got the meal served up. By this time, I had resigned myself to the accident, realising that the situation is not going to improve, only get worse. Thus, I enjoyed eating up all of the fodder. Skinless sausages, new potatoes, garden peas, onions and seedless grapes. A pot of lemon yoghourt, a jam tart and some fresh orange juice. A flavour-rating of 7/10 was given.

Due to all the kerfuffle, I forgot to take the Warfarin and evening tablets! I accept my lousy luck, I’ve had years of practice after all. But this time, it was too much, and I withdrew into myself, moping, repining, lamenting, regretting and generally in a despondent mood.

I remember washing the pots and taking this photo. It seemed to show localised showers falling in the distance.

As for owt after that, nothing! Can’t recall getting back to the recliner, or anything really.

But when I woke up in the morning, the green lid I usually put the medication into, was on the Ottoman, and empty, so I assume I did take the evening doses.

Not one of my better days!

Unglefrogwogglings!

Inchcockumski – Friday 26th June 2020: Diabetes insipidus ensures a lousy nights none-sleep. Globblegripes!

TFZer Star, Betty ♥

Friday 26th June 2020

Romanian: Vineri, 26 Iunie 2020

03:30hrs: I woke up, requiring the traditional wee-wee. But for some reason, the Porcelain Throne was not needed.

I rose from the semi-comfortable, £300, second-hand, rickety, none-working, rusty, and spew-promptingly-beige-coloured, c1968, recliner, without any undue trouble. Grabbed the stick, and made my way to the GPEB (Grey-Plastic-Emergency-Bucket), and took a WOPT (Weak-Orange-Painful-Trickling) mode wee-wee. It still amazes me sometimes, for the bucket had been well-used overnight, yet I cannot remember using it once? Considering the pain and effort that I need to get up, the stick to get to the bucket, then back down into the seat again, I find this bemusing? Can some neuropharmacologist, or psychoanalyst (or whichever word I should have used) out there, explain this for me, please? I can’t recall if this used to happen before I had the stroke, but I think it occasionally did. Nowadays, it’s a regular phenomenon. Just thought I’d ask, like. Sorry.

I took the bucket to be emptied, cleaned and sanitised. Washed the hands and contact points, and off to the kitchen to make a mug of Thompsons Punjana tea, and excellently flavoursome it was! Mind you, making the brew, and Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters let me down, again at just the wrong time! I spilt the hot tea, and naturally, it went on the biggest nearby target available, my stomach! Niggleclump!

Through the unwanted and unliked new kitchen, my favourite room, window. (Hahaha!) I tried to take a photo of the morning view. But, it came out so different from what the eye saw in the viewer? I used the night panorama option, on the Nikon?

I must find time to sort out the medicine drawers. The health Check results were much better this morning, apart from the temperature, at 61.8°f, low I think. The SYS, Dia and Pulse all looked well within the range permitted for a grumpy old fogey?

I got the brew made, and off to get Computer Cameron going.

The timing of Nicodemus and Shoulder-Shuddering-Shirley was annoying. The moment I started typing, they both kicked off! Even Saccades Sandra had a bash at me! But not for too long. I found a determination and concentration from somewhere and pressed on, ever-correcting mistakes, I’ve likely missed some I suppose. Eventually, I was so glad to get the updating finished, hours later, naturally.

I nipped (talking loosely), to the wet room, as I felt a little discomfort from the innards, and did not want to risk any more embarrassing incidents, so, off to the Porcelain Throne. What a life when yer grows older and get iller! Haha! But apart from an excessively large amount of wind escaping from the innards (quiet musical, too!), there were no signs of any evacuation! I even spent a while on the crossword book, just in case anything happened belatedly. Nope, nothing did!

Back to the computer. Emailed the link off. Then went on WordPress Reader. Followed by Facebooking. Then, I made up a template for tomorrow’s blog.

Herbert’s having a bash at his modelling methinks. I’d love to know what it is he’s making.

I nearly missed the Priority Iceland order spot. Got an order in, just in time. Phew! Got some different fish ordered for Josie to try this week. And, some shoulder pork to try and cook in the crock-pot.

I went to make another brew, feeling guilty, I haven’t got the ablutions done yet. Scallywag!

There seemed to be a green hue in the air now? I took a snap form the unwanted, unliked, dangerous kitchen windows, of the frontal view.

Then, I got the old Lumix camera and tried to take a rolling shot, of Chestnut Walk, below. But I failed, as I expected I would. I just can’t keep the camera still enough to scan with. I’ve tried on all three cameras now, but I failed on every effort. Sad innit? The danged Peripheral Neuropathy is to blame. Broggleknockersworth! Still, the green hue, or the Lumix camera giving everything a green tinge, was refreshing. Lenny Lumix is like me, getting on a bit, and certain parts of it, are not working right nowadays. Hahaha!

I went onto CorelDraw then, to get a few graphics done, I’m getting low on them for the TFZers, now.

Aha, the mobile shop as arrived. Back in a bit, folks. Nipped down and managed a natter with Flo, Josie and Roy, but the bloke had only got one tin of garden peas left, no tomatoes, no bread and no milk in stock! Josie was going to struggle with no milk, but fortunately, I had a carton of long life semi-skinned in emergency stock in the flat. I went up first and got it out and took it for Josie to have.

Brought in my one tin of garden peas, half a cucumber, tin of stewed steak and an ice-cream cornet. Humph!

Got the nosh sorted out. Not one of my betterer efforts. The battered fish I let overcook a smidge. An overall flavour rating of 6.5/10.

Then, the Diabetes insipidus boosted the wee-weeing, and almost none stop piddling was required, every one of them with Post Micturition Dribble (PMD).  By morning, I used eight pairs of PP’s! Flipping good luck that my mate Michael had supplied me with ample reserves! Thanks, Michael! Hope you’re coping out there, mate?

I needed so many, not just for the after-dribble, but all the over-use of Little Inchy had started the fungal lesion bleeding.

Watching the TV was not on, I had to climb out of the recliner – use the emergency bucket and back down repeatedly. And the EOGPB (Emergency-Overnight-Grey-Plastic-Bucket) needed emptying and sanitising to get me through.

The worst night for months!

Grobognangles!

Inchcockski – Mon 15 June 2020: Working, fiddling about and getting nothing done. Impractical, incommodious and indeterminant day!

Monday 15th June 2020

Greek: Δευτέρα 15 Ιουνίου 2020

02:00hrs: I woke up well wanting a wee-wee. Wriggled my ghastly onerously bulky, but wobbly body from the depths of the £300, second-hand, none-working recliner, and with surprising dexterity, I shot off to the wet room (alright, hobbled precariously). The release was of the WOPT (Weak-Orange-Painful-Trickling) mode. (Indeed they were all of this style, all morning, and there were so many of them!)

The poor old uncut toes, nails, and feet looked more gnarled than ever. I swear when I raise my foot, even a few inches, there is pain from under the nails! And I’m forever catching them on something, which is like an electric shock? Tsk!

To the kitchen, and got the kettle on. I know it’s a little earlier than I’ve gotten up for a couple of days, but the mist seemed to be coming down already.

I got the sphygmomanometerisationing done and assembled the medications ready to imbibe. All of the results were down vs yesterday. Including the temperature; that was at 79°c, one down on yesterdays.  No, that should be 79°f, surely. The pulse was ten points less. The Sys was five lower, and the Dia was two below. Better, methinks? Note the arithmophobia may mean I got something wrong.

Took the medications, with an extra painkiller, because Toothache Thomas was kicking off again.

Made a brew of Glengettie Gold, and put too much milk in it. So I used another tea bag to strengthen it a bit.

I got on Computer Cameron and went on the emails to check on the Morrison order. They have substituted Saver Garden Peas with Batchelor’s Mushy peas – and it looks like they are charging me for the more expensive unasked for ones? No Morrison Saver marrowfat peas, but they tell me they cannot deliver an alternative. Thank heavens for that. They may well have sent me a grilled Octopus with Ancho Chile Sauce & Noodle ready meal! But, at least they have sent the tissues for Jenny and Frank!

Then I made a start on updating the Sunday post. Finally, I got it finished and had to make some graphics for this diary. Then emailed the link, then went on TFZer and Windwood Heights Facebooking.

I went to make a brew of tea and took another view of the changing mist and fog. It’s getting a bit thicker now. But it didn’t feel too cold as I hung out of the anti-photographer designed, thick-framed, light, and view-blocking new window.

When I returned to the computer to download the photo on it, and this even amazed me: I had to go back to the kitchen, and search for the lens cap for the camera. After many minutes of searching, I returned to the computer area and scanned for the lens cap. This in itself is nothing new and is a frequent, almost several times a day event. I was getting annoyed with myself again. I looked in the wet room and hallway, no luck! Gave up and returned to the computer… the lens cap was on the camera!

I may have had another Blank-Spell, I suppose. But I don’t think so. I can usually read things and know something had happened, not sure what, sometimes mind. But not this time. The actions were all there in the grey-cells. Which in itself is something to be thankful for! Hahaha! I think my brain cells are showing signs of senescence.

Ah-well, it’s time to get the ablutions sorted out. No showering, of course, the noise may disturb the slugabed neighbours. Hehehe!

Well, well, well, one of the bestest ever ablutionary session for months! (Apart from a toe-stubbing against the shower chair as I moved it!) Not a single dropsy of the toothbrush or paste, soap or razors. Smug-Mode-Instigated! But I could have done without the toe-stubbing bit.

I got the bags made up for the recycling and waste chute, but with the deliveries being expected, I shall not take them out until after both have been delivered. Don’t want to miss them.

The mist is lifting a bit, I think?

O got on with this blog starting, and made a mug of Thompsons Punjana tea, much more of a bite to it than Glengettie Gold, but not as much as plain Glengettie. Confusing innit?

The intercom rang out, and I heard it well enough. T’was the much uptight Morrison delivery driver. With all the isolationists and their own worries about Coronavirus, this is only to be expected, the pressure on the lads and lasses much be extreme nowadays.

The lad left the bags near the door. I thanked him and slipped him a G&T. Off he raced.

Now, this is when my mood and physically improved status went down, ♫Way-Down!♫. On my first bend to collect a couple of the carriers, Back-Pain-Brenda gave me shocks of pains that have not cleared up yet (three-hours later!) Every slight bend or twist in the torso, brings forth knife-like stabbing pains I could do well without! I dare not take any more pain-killers, having already taken one extra to counter Toothache Thomas! Grunglegrogs!

Gingerly, I got the bags into the kitchen one at a time. Sorted out the tissues for Jenny, then got the other stuff checked and put away. It took me a lot of time, at one point I got down to put the chips in the freezer, and the back pain was so bad, I had to stay in that position for a while, and wait for it to ease-off before I dare get back upright again. Hey-ho! Got it all sorted, in the end. And back to Computer Cameron.

The Amazon folks had sent another email with a revised ETA.

I pressed on with doing this diary. Until at least I thought that I needed the Porcelain Throne activities.

But no! I sat there for ages, doing my best to encourage the evacuation.

I had a go at the crossword puzzle. (I got a couple solved as well. Mind you, I was at it for ages, but no signs of any movement)

Not doing a lot of anything, I noticed the legs were an odd shade this morning. I didn’t see it earlier? When it came to standing up, I was wary of not catching the toes on anything. Anyroad, the pins may be a bit blotchier and anaemic. Still, the Clopidogrel allergy lumps, the spider veins, and the Thrombophlebitis give them an appearance, that Tim Price thought, some Art Gallery would like to display. Hahaha! I think the odd colouring in the leg picture, is down to my lack of photographic skills, in reality, they were not so vivid.

Moved onto CorelDrawing. Managed to get a few graphics done.

Jenny emailed me. Checked the Amazon tracker. The progress graph has no moved at all, and the ETS has changed to a little later. Oh, dearie me! Fingers crossed.

Intercom, Amazon delivery. Got the flaky biscuits ready with the tissues near the front door. I was meaning to slip a masherina (facemask) on, before opening the doors, but forgot to. Humph!

Getting Shaking Shaun, joining in with the back pain. Then sudden fatigue came over me.

Jenny emailed, then later rang me, but I could not hear her, the line was terrible. I tried four or five times to ring her on the landline, but it was engaged.

Frank came up with the bleach and yoghourts for me and collected the bags from me. I still had the shakes going a bit ferociously.

Got some nosh prepared. And got down to eat it, with designs on getting to sleep soon. Hahaha! Fool!

GM L 0.0.130bl02:35hrs: Once again, I awoke, with a vagueness, an opacity of thought. Yet within a few moments, lucubrations started forming, plans laid and made, ideas considered within my grey-cells. My clinomania encouraged me to remain laid there, on the recliner. Thinking, planning, but without any logicality or precision. Which didn’t last for very long though.

I felt the cold draft coming in from the balcony door I had left open. The brain reckoning stopped. The need to escape the warm clutches of the quilt, and get up to close the door took priority. I was being sensible and taking my time in getting up, but the cool breeze, made me throw caution to the wind. I was fortunate in getting up, grabbing the four-pronged walking stick, making my way to the door and shutting it to, then needing an urgent wee-wee! All, without any toe-stubbings, dizzies or knocking over anything from the Ottoman! Smug-Mode-Adopted!

WD 0.0.0 (1) To the wet room and had a totally different style of wee-wee this morning. A first, a new style! Oh, yes! A PAVCT (Painful-And-Various-Coloured-Trickling) wee-wee! Amazing, it started off orange, then cream, and the last few trickles 5Fri02were a cloudy-grey! Crunggleisations!

WD 0.0.0 (1) I did notice the right-knee seemed to have gone out of sync, deformed a bit? But, t’ was of little concern, as there was no pain from it, apart from the Arthur Itis usual. Then I thought, are NN’s (Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters) out of actions again, not passing the nerve-ends messages to the brain, and will I get electric-shock like pains if it does belated get the information across? Tsk!

WD 0.0.0 (1) Perhaps, it could be a dirty-great giant alien worm lava, whose egg had been laid in my body, and was fighting his way out? Or a mutation of the Coronavirus? Maybe NN’s have died altogether, I have multiple broken bones, and don’t know it because the neurotransmitters are kaputt? Hahaha!

And to think, the Government is working to keep people busy so they don’t get bored being stuck at home, Hah! Never get time for a dull moment here!

Ah, my uneducated but fertile mind kicked into silly-gear: If there is a way to pass on Peripheral Neuropathy to folks, then let them have a stroke, and they will not be bothered about the virus then. They’ll have enough on their plate just getting through day-to-day? And, what am I ranting on about?

5Fri03Off to the kitchen, and got my breakfast. The BP Sys was down from yesterday, which was encouraging.

WDP 002WD 0.0.0 (1a) I was washing the mugs and mixing bowl in the sink, and got a visit from Shoulder Shuddering Shirley. Which moved my arm under the running hot water tap – the nerves were working then, cause it made me jump, and whip my arm away from the water; hitting the back of my hand on the corner of the bread bin. Broggleknockersworth!

To the computer, and made up a template. Then started to update the Thursday blog. Got the post sent off, emailed the link and went on Pinterest. Stopped to make a brew. Back to the computer, onto the comment section on WordPress. Tim Price informed me that he’s had a link talk to someone at WordPress, and they are going to force the new block editor on everyone. But there should be a way within the programme’s workings, of going back to the old editor. Ha! Me, learn how to do that?

Then I spent an inordinately long time on TFZer Facebooking, happily! Then set off to get the ablutions done.

5Fri04WD 0.0.0 (1) The need for the Porcelain Throne arrived. The evacuation was similar to the last two days ones. Start, blocked, do the crossword book, suffer the pain, appreciated it when things start again, and finish the session, with an exclamation of pain and relief!

5Fri05WD 0.0.0 (1) I did spot some new blood spots or papules on the left leg as I was crosswording. Ah, the mysterious wonders of Woodthorpe Court. The ghosts, hobgoblins, boll-weevils, aliens, gremlins, karakia-cursing entities. The materialisations, poltergeist, lemures, wairuas, kehuas, and manifestations. That permeate, pass through the pores and 5Fri06interstices of space, through the time-continuum. Usually, without rupture or displacement within the building. To cause havoc, fear and frustration, as they dislodge time itself, in their aspirations and skulduggery, to complete their given by Satan, ‘Let’s Piss-off Inchcock’ mission?

Hey-ho!

5Fri007cHowever, not-withstanding and apart from that, the ablution session was one of the best for months! One knick shaving, only five dropsies, and three of them were the min-soap tablet. No stubbed toes, not knocking anything off of the floor cabinet… no sorry, I did knock off the Daktacort cream, sorry about that inaccuracy. Olive oiled the ear-drums, Germoloided the piles, and Saccades Sandra’s drops in the eyes. Washed the spectacles, and went through the unpleasurable, delicate, always painful job, of treating Little Inchies fungal lesion

I got myself smelling half-decent, medicated things and got some clothes on. I made up two small black waste-bags and hobbled to the chute room with them.

4Thu15Back to the apartment, suddenly remembering I had some of the San Benedetto Prima Spremtura Clementina (Clementine juice) arriving today, 24x 300ml cans. I have to say, I adore the taste. Not too fizzy, not too sweet, but I find them very refreshing.

I looked at the Amazon tracker (right), but it seems like it’s going to be a late delivery, this time. It hasn’t even reached the dispatch yet, let alone out for delivery!

I suppose this means another miserable night for Inchcock! Globberations! I’ll have to not watch telly, cause I have to use the headphones, and cannot hear the Intercom or door chimes when I have them on. So, it’ll mean me staying up and trying to stay awake long enough, and I do get grumpy with myself when I am prevented from sleeping. It’s hard enough to drop off as it is. But, you can be sure tonight, I’ll nod off after staying up so many extra hours waiting for the cans to arrive. Still, serves me right for ordering them. Hahaha! Grumblegollocks!

I’ve still got a few left in the fridge if anyone fancies popping over? Tsk! Oh, I forgot, I’m not allowed visitors, cause of my High-Risk status! Clapbogsworthyness!

Ah, well, I’d better get on with doing some more graphicationalisationing then.

5Fri08WD 0.0.0 (1) Gawd, it’s going so slowly, Shoulder Shuddering Sheila, and Dizzy Dennis are the main culprits. Only got three graphics done, and I’m about to give up.

I came across some disturbing news while searching for facts for the blog. Nottingham is bucking the trend on Coronavirus and has had an increase in infection and hospitalisations.

Oh, dear!

5Fri09So late now, but I dare not nod-off, or I may miss the deliveryman. I’ll have a look at the tracker, hang on a sec…

WD 0.0.0 (1) Blimus! It’s not moving at all, over three hours ago, the tracker reads the same! Not even reached the despatch warehouse. No way it’ll get here before 20:00hrs. Gits!

I wish they’d just tell me it’s not going to make it today! But no! Muggins here has to stay up, just in case it does. No chance to listen to the TV or radio. I’m bound to nod off and not know if it has been or not! But if the dispatch is in Leeds, how can they make it tonight? I do not want or need the stuff today. Initially, they told me it would arrive twixt 18th > 20th… I may have got myself in a muddle here, I’ll have a look at the calendar.

5Fri10WD 0.0.0 (1) Well, I made a right cock-up over the dates! Brambackleshittums! Cracklepackers and Blockstooum!

According to the last eta given me, they are due next Thursday, Friday or Saturday?

I’m so confused now, but it definitely says arriving today by 8 PM on the tracker!

I’ve got to stay awake somehow, but fear it will not happen. I wonder if Amazon has made an error somehow? Or, has the lorry broke-down? Or the driver been arrested? Perhaps Aliens have landed fancying a drink?

Just had another decker at the Tracker, still not moved at all. I could spit! Why me every time? I’m not a bad or naughty boy! Hehehe! Sodwrangles!

I just went to put the kettle on, and the trees in the bottom field and along Chestnut Walk, look in danger of being uprooted! So violent was the wind!

Amazon arrived? It was to Thompsons Punjabi tea, 6 boxes! Marvellous!

5Fri13

5Fri09But most confusing. According to the Amazon email, it was the Clementine drinks that should be coming?

I did another tracker check. Obviously, the San Benedetto was not going to arrive. A mistake had been made by someone other than me for once, Amazon!

WD 0.0.0 (1) As I was putting away the tea bags in junk-room-two, Dizzy Dennis caught me out as I was stretching to reach the drawers, and over I went. Luckily, there was not enough room between the boxes that had been waiting five years to get sorted out all over the room, which broke my fall!

WD 0.0.0 (1) As I struggled to get near something solid to support me in getting back up and haul my onerous body from the floor, I could not reach the stick from where I landed. So, crawling through the rubbish to retrieve the stick… I found what I had done several searches for last week, but couldn’t find – Two packets pf Thompsons Punjana tea bags! I did feel a fool! Well, I’m stocked up for life now on the best tea bags in the world (Well, my favourites), Glengettie (Nine packs x80), Glengettie Gold (Two packs x80), and these, the best of the three, Punjana! (Eight packs x80).

5Fri11A perfect overloaded stock, suitable for a sinensophile, come tea-sommelier as me. Hehehe! But the confusion caused by all the wrong indications and dates from Amazon’s emails will probably mean I won’t live long enough to drink them all. But, I’ll do me bestest!

Got some Hickory in the beans and franks in each saucepan. There had to be something wrong with the new Hickory, and I soon found out what it was. It states clearly that a good shaking of the bottle is needed before use every time.

WD 0.0.0 (1) Well, the seal and cap on the bottle leaked when I shook it! Shame, cause it is a great tasting flavouring. It didn’t half take some getting off of my hands though. It went on the jammie bottoms and stomach too. Tsk!

5Fri14Nosh at last. Baked beans and German Franks with Hickory, a few mini-tomatoes, three small slices of bread, a lemon mousse and the Clementine drink for afters.

Taste-Rating: 9.2/10 Highly acceptable!

I got the pots soaking afterwards and settled down to a disturbing evenings rest. I wasn’t sure if the San Benedetto would or should be arriving, so I tried to stay awake a little longer…

ZZZ!

GMX06a03:25hrs: I stirred into a loose form of pretend-life, and recognised that the need for the Porcelain Throne was somewhat urgent. Without much thought or common sense, I attempted straight away, to remove my overly-stomached torso from the £300 second-hand recliner.

This was one of my more painful mistakes, but there was a more severe one to come yet! Oh, lucky me!

WD 128.0.0 A hard truth to put into understandable words, but I’ll try my bestest, such a lot of calamities came within seconds of each other.

  • As I prised my lump of meat up, I leant against the arm with the right hand, stick in the left, the arm slipped off of the chair, and I plump back down again.
  • The bleeding from Little Inchies fungal lesion and Harold’s Haemorrhoids were instant! Warm, wet and painful!
  • A small silent curse and questioning of my parentage, and I tried again. The pain in the overgrown nails on the feet almost had me over as I tried to stand on my heels. But the four-pronged walking stick prevented another sprawling of my Hindenburg-dirigible sized, but a lot wobblier, torso.
  • No time to gather my senses and balance, I made my way to the wet room, fearing I might be too late, as the innards churned.
  • I even got a bit of a move on; and clouted my left elbow of the corner of the doorframe as I got to the WC room. It was almost like an electric shock.

WD 128.0.0 Inside, I dropped the jammie-bottoms and PPs, and down on the raised disabled Grumpy-old-git’s seat. And it was for certain this time, that Trotsky Terence had left the field clear for Constipation Conrad to take over again! I think it felt more like concrete than ever before. But, to be fair, there was minimal bleeding considering the falling back down in the recliner accifauxpas. I took me a long time to force things along. Then, the worst job, cleaning and medication the fungal lesion had to be done. A delicate job indeed, one error and the flood of red stuff flows with a venom. However, uncomfortable as it was, I resisted rushing things, and they all came out okay. Phew!

4Thu01Off to take the medications and make a brew, and the letter that arrived last night was perused.

A good idea that is, a picnic on the flat balcony, and a chance to wave from a  safe distance to other tenants, that I haven’t seen for weeks, with another new sentence from the Doctors for 3-further months imprisonment and isolation, will be okay.

As I got back to the junk room to turn on the computer, the lousy, annoying, never-ending noise from ‘The Hum’ was as loud as it’s ever been. Drives you potty! The Governments best scientists can’t find out what it is caused by. Mind you, they are struggling with Coronavirus pandemic at the moment, so. With all the millions of people staying at home, I would have expected more of them to go mad with having the excruciatingly disturbing ‘Hum’, for 24/7. Hehehe!

I pressed on with making the Template for this blog first. Then went on to updating the Wednesday blog. Got it finalised and sent off. Then Emailed the links. Then on WP Reader. Pinterested some snaps.

Then, got on with the ablutions. All going very well indeed. Up to taking the shower, only three dropsies! Razor, shaving foam, and soap. A sensational start to the session.

I got under the shower and saw some new mould marks near the floor. Bear in mind, I did not have the glasses on, of course. So, I grabbed a can of Cif 100% Mould Remover (I thought at the time, anyway) and sprayed it on the wall and floor. Started showering, and stopped to rinse away the soaking spray.

4Thu02WD 128.0.0 Oh, dear, stinging pains from the stomach? I investigated the problem, and saw some odd coloured stuff running down the overweight tummy? I soon realised when I put my glasses on what it was. (Impetigo Imogen rampant this morning?)

WD 128.0.0 The colour was the same as the mould remover I’d just used!

WD 128.0.0a4Thu03 Then, I realised I had not used the Cif 100% mould remover, I’d used Cif 100% Oven & Grill Remover! It did sting a bit! It might claim to be a Perfect Finish, but I saw nothing on it about warning of the bottle having a tendency to leak! Cholericalisations, What a plonka! Hahaha! I had a good long spray around from the showerhead of me and the wet room. The pain dissipated, but it left me with an infuriatingly annoying itch!

Still, it could have been worse.

I got the medicating of all things in need done, olive-oiled the earholes, Phorpain gelled the knees and toes. Yes, toes! Not easy using the picker-up so I can reach the toes, I can tell yer! Hehe! Aftershave applied, body spray and even a slash of Au de Caloone… no, that’s not right. I’ll nip and have a look at the bottle, hang on a second or two… Got it, it was eau de toilette spray.

Got dressed, shame really, that means more handwashing to do. Har-har!

Made up and took some black bags to the chute. The flaming toes are hurting more and more. Humph!

Hoping to get the electric can-opener and some more black bags delivered today from Amazon. Even more important, I pray that I will be able to operate the machine. Cramps and RAI (rheumatoid Arthur Itis), can cause problems enough, but when Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters nerve end die, it can be dangerous with the usual hand-operated can openers. The Warfarin levels are high too, which means bleeding can be a bugger to stop.

4Thu03aI made a brew and had a look outside. Some dogs walking their owners were about, so I got the camera to try and take a few shots. The dogs were a bit too lively for me to catch a photo of them with their owners.

Until a couple with some older woof-woofs came along. I see these dogs regularly, it looks like the larger, older one has arthritis or something like that. But he still does his best to keep up, bless him.

Then, as I was giving up, I spotted a lone crow on the bottom field near the tree copse and set about trying to get a decent shot of him for Lona, a gal on the Troll Free Site, who loves crows. As you can see, with him (the crow) being lively, and Nicodemus’s nerve ends letting me down, it was a struggle to get any shot of the bird at all. My best three efforts are below, I got a few shots with no bird many, one with part of him, and finally managed one of the carrion-crow. Then he flew off.

4Thu07

I checked on the tracker about the Amazon things, it indicated today twixt 16:00 > 20:00hrs. Then I updated this blog.

Then got a template for the morning made up. Then I set about getting some graphics made up. Things went okay with the nerve-ends. (Smugness Mode Assimilated!)

4Thu23As I checked on the potatoes in the slow-cooker, the intercom burst into life. It was the Amazon delivery of black bags and the electric tin (can) opener. I pointed rolled a can of G&T to the chap, and he was very pleased with it, and the genuine thanks I gave him.

The first thing needed, was my learning how to use the machine. The guide book was in too small and feint a print to grasp all of it. But I gave it a go on the large (400g whatever that is) can of garden peas without a ring pull on it. I observed the bit of plastic tubing on the blade in time and removed it. I wasn’t too confident I’d set it up properly, but it worked well. The tips that Sister Jane gave me earlier on the phone, were used and all went okay. Thanks, Jane.

4Thu22Having got the peas in the saucepan, I set about making up some black bags. The roll of sacks in my hand in this picture contained 200!

So you can tell they were a little smaller than I had hoped. Humph! On the other hand, they were stronger than the ones I had in stock Swings and roundabouts? I made up two of the old bags and one of the new, this confirmed the new bags being stronger but no thicker. So, maybe they were worth the extra cost? Hobbling was so painful, with my trying to walk on the heels to relieve the pain from the long toes, this caused balance difficulties, IU must have looked a sad sight.

I took the bags to the waste chute and returned to collect the recycling box and bag to take down to caretakers room.

As I was getting out of the lift on the ground floor, I met Angela’s Roy (15th floor). The man kindly offered to take the bag and box to the caretaker for me. Which was such a kind gesture, as he saw how I was struggling to walk. I thanked him and explained that I needed to walk, or try to, or else things would freeze-up. He laughed, which cheered me a little.

I got to the caretaker’s room, but Robert was out and about, so I left the big box near his door. Hope he doesn’t mind.

5Fri33Back up to get the nosh sorted. Very tasty. Flavour rating of 8.8/10, the potatoes that the Government had kindly given me in the food parcel, were excellent, slow-cooked with a drop of balsamic and malt vinegar added. The flavour soaked in well with using the crock-pot to sort of marinating.

As I washed the pots, and then me, thoughts turned to will I be able to sleep, the mind was a little active, churning over.

I rang Deana again, to ask her to cancel the Nottingham City Council food parcels, but the phone died on me after telling me ‘Not available’. I bet the ILCs are getting more stressed than I am. All of us to bother about, and their own clan too!

Got settled down, and watched To the Future 2 on TV. I’d seen it before, just as well, cause I kept nodding off every time the adverts came on.

When it was finished, I recall thinking, ‘Hello, Toothache Tim seems to be starting again’, and then a beautiful blankness for five hours of uninterrupted sleep! Yeehaa!

Keep safe, folks!

GM07RWD 0.0.128A wd 0.0.128 04:00hrs (The latest getting up time for months): I stirred and waited for the brain to catch me up. Which it failed to do in time apparently. Cause as I began to manipulate my grossly overweight-stomached body from the recliner, ‘Thud-thud’, I ended up on my knees! Fell off of the c1968, rickety recliner, knocking the swivel chair over to the cabinet as I did so. Which sent the nibble pots off of the arm and rolling all over the floor. The knees were stinging, caught my head against the other chair arm as I twisted in a vain effort to stop myself going down, and a few selected naughty words were silently muttered! (I hope they were silent, anyway) I crawled on all fours to gather the nibble-pots, the yoghourt coated cashew nuts thankfully, didn’t burst open! Phew!

I tackled the job of struggling to get back up, in an almost nonchalantly, blasé, laid-back manner, and I was seated back in the recliner again within a minute or two! Yes, I know, it surprised and shook me too!) I stayed there to receive a brain-storm for a few moments. Not the usual self-recrimination, hatred, and confusion this time. I merely accepted the incident, felt thankful that it was not worse, and got the taste for a mug of tea! (Honestly!)

4Thu01When I got in the kitchen, I spotted the moon was out again. But, being so much later than yesterday, it was more distant and further to my left.

I tried my best to get the lights below in the shot I took. I took me about five efforts, this was the only decent one out of them all!

I found a certain degree of, well, almost confidence creeping in this morning as I made the brew. I was singing to myself and whistling in between? I’d coped with the earlier Whoopsiedangleplop and Accifauxpas with no bother. I was feeling upbeat, and this worried me a tad!

My EQ told me that things were going to get hectic. No reasons or outcomes. Just things were going to get frantic, and soon! A shudder went through my body, and I foolishly ignored this warning and carried on singing to myself, as I took the medications, and took the tea with me to the computer. I did feel what must have been close to contentment and relaxed with it! This is not natural for me!

4Thu05My first job was to make up the template for today’s blog, which took a long time. Thanks to Shaking-Shoulder-Shirley and Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters going off and on-line at will. Got it done, and checked online for the virus figures. Not very good.

Then looked at the Emails, and sure enough, an Iceland order was arriving today, twixt 15>1700hrs!

I decided to get the ablutions done next, as with my getting to a semi-live state, so late, it was now gone eight! (No charge for the poetry. Hehe!). I put a long-sleeved t-shirt and pair of socks to soak while I got the shave and stand-up wash. Off to the wet room.

4Thu03WD 0.0.128A As I got in the doorway, the need for the Porcelain Throne arrived, it couldn’t have come at a better time! But it was again a start-stop operation.

Which let me have another go at the crossword puzzle solving. I got a few as well!

WD 0.0.128A When things started moving again, just like yesterday, it was ‘Klunk’ and all over and done with. Apart from the cleaning up, of course. No medicating, not with me about to have the stand-up wash and shave. The doing of the teeth, ave just one dropsy, the toothpaste. No cut gums this morning. The shaving was a little more accident-prone, though. Dropsies included: Shaving foam can (2), razors (6), and the after-shave bottle that I was using to stop the (3) cuts bleeding. However, no toe stubbings, and the sock-glide, I laughed at! (I didn’t put any socks on, Hehehe!) Most of the dropsies were caused me Nicodemus’s failing nerve ends.

Medicated the areas in need, olive-oiled the ear holes, Saccades sprayed the eyes, got the Brute and deodorant applied. One blessing here was that Little Inchies fungal lesion had only bled a tiny bit. Ah, nice!

4Thu04But I still felt in a perky mood! I dried off and got dressed, all bar the socks, and went to get the handwashing done, wrung and hung. For some reason, the ones I did yesterday still needed more drying time?

WD 0.0.128A You can see in this photograph, the diamond strengthed leakage from the air-vent, that the Nottingham City Homes maintenance man left me with on the wall years ago now. And it ran down and hardened all over the electrical socket! It still pees me off when I see it every day.

4Thu15I got the black bags sorted, replaced the bags in the waste-baskets (4), and took the full ones to the waste chute.

I spotted the new to me, but it would be, my not having been out for so long, a sign asking for only one person in the lift cage at any time.

When I returned to the apartment, I thought I make another brew, and try to drink it this time. I took another Co-codamol that a mystery resident had so kindly given me, to counter the toothache I felt coming on again.

4Thu10a

4Thu16There are plenty of aircraft/jets out today. How do they keep to social-spacing in them, then?

Back to the computer, I’ll get the thing started eventually, Humph!

WD 0.0.128A ♫ I only want to be with you ♫ rang out again. Looks like my EQ was right, doesn’t it?

It was Riechsfhúreress and Catwalk Model Warden Deana. She was handing out Easter Eggs from the Nottingham City Homes, for everyone. Bless em!

4Thu19dWD 0.0.128A I got back to the computer, and sat a moment, wondering if using it would bring another interruption. Just as the now even more familiar, ♫ I only want to be with you ♫ rang out again. It was caretaker Robert, with a big bottle of milk and a loaf of bread for me! I thanked him muchly for the loaf and explained that I have plenty of milk in at the moment. Slipped him a G & T in thanks.

WD 0.0.128A Back to the computer, I typed maybe five words, and the landline flashed and rang-out! It was a chap, this time from the Ingeus Diabetic course runners. He went through all what the lady did yesterday. Nothing really sank in, the line was that bad and with my hearing, Tsk!

WD 0.0.128A At last, I made a start on this blog. For about five minutes, and the landline flashed again!!! It was the man from Direct Help. I explained that is was a fortnight ago when I spoke with the lady, and things have improved since. As I have got through for an Iceland order delivered since! With the help of Jenny, I have some stuff arriving Sunday, I think, that will hopefully fill the fridge and freezer up. So there is no requirement for help now, there was three weeks ago, but no one called as expected. So, I should be fine for a while. I told him of my five-week wait for the Morrison order, that’s due a week on Sunday! He told me to ring him back in a fortnight if I needed any help with shopping then. I asked him for the telephone number. He seemed surprised that I didn’t have it on my phone. He gave it to me, anyway.

4Thu19EWD 0.0.128A On the computer, once more. And the intercom flashed! It was the Iceland delivery that I can’t remember ordering!

WD 0.0.128A Now, my friendly, warm, upbeat mood was changing.

WD 0.0.128A I got yesterday’s blog sent off, and made yet another attempt as doing this update. Guess what? The landline lit up and sounded again!

It was the cat-walk model and Warden Oberstgruppenfhúreress Deana. She had some questions that needed answering for Nottingham City Homes. I don’t know how the ILC’s (Independent Living Coordinators) are managing with all the extra duties and hassle they have to put up with, Bless em all! I got myself very confused, and being so tired again, things weren’t sinking in, well they were, but not staying in the memory bank!

WD 0.0.128A I got back to the computing, and the dreaded, feared, damp, and warm sensation spreading about in the lower regions was sensed! Botherations and blasticulisations! Little Inchies fungal lesion was bleeding! So, off to the wet room again, for cleaning and medicationalising.4Thu14

The task was more manageable and less painful than I expected, for it had not dried on, much less hassle! I had a wash afterwards and noticed that the old ankle scar looked like it wanted to return again. (Dangwangling, Dangwangles!)

I gave the hands another really weep clean. So much so, the yare getting all wrinkly again. Tsk!

4Thu13

And, how can I get some more carbolic soap? It was hard enough to get before the lock-down and self-imprisonment! (Gribbledockends!)

I went to make a brew, and I noticed a man and his dog down on the bottom field. It was different, and funny this time!

4Thu19c

The man threw something, a ball I imagine, but this dog was not having it at all! The hound plopped itself down on the grass, with no intention of moving! Hahaha! The chap could not get the animal to move at all. He got his mobile out and made a call. I wondered if he was walking the dog for someone, and calling for advice? A few possible funny scenarios went through my head.

WD 0.0.128A Then, ♫ I only want to be with you ♫ rang out from the door, again. Unbelievable! It was a delivery man, I didn’t see him of course. But there was mail been delivered, and a box on the floor.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

The reading of a letter, pretend signed, by Boris, while the poor bloke is suffering in the intensive-care ward, was a strange thing. To me, anyway. Good and bad news from the blood results. Good, in that with it being Bank Holiday, they always leave the next test for longer. This time, it is not until the 21st of April. Which means, my Blood Vampire Angels will not be seen until then! Sob, Ululations, & Woe is me!

Finally, I got this post done as far as here. It only took me fourteen hours, as well. Humph!

At last, I got the Iceland order looked at properly. Their offer of two boxes of Gold corn flakes at £1 off for two, I had apparently taken advantage off. I vaguely recall thinking that if Jenny didn’t want them, she would know of someone who would, Nora perhaps? I gathered the things and bagged them, then called Jenny, to tell her I would drop the bag off at her apartment, in a few minutes. Which I did. It felt odd, after such a long time, to use the lift again, almost scary! Haha! If Jenny does not want anything in the bag at all, it won’t matter, cause I know she’ll soon have some worthy person to give the milk, Cereals etc. to, who deserves a bit of help.

4Thu19gBack up to my flat, didn’t anyone out in the building at all going either way. It felt so eerie, and reminded me of my recurrent dream of being chased and shot at in a crumbling building, by gangs of unpleasant persons.

I took a picture of a panorama shot of the scene 4Thu19foutside.

A man and his dog, sensibly kept their distance from the two young girls in the bottom field, as it looked like they were asking for directions.

I’m feeling weary now, but the toothache is no worse, the coughing has eased, and my mood was getting back to a good one.

Fodder decision time now. I chose to have bacon sarnies. Mainly to use some of the crap, watery, tasteless bacon I’d got! Tsk! I might have a tin of tomatoes with it instead, then use the bread to dunk with. Or something else? Hahaha!

I’ll be back in the morning to finish this blog off, I hope.

I’m back!

4Thu24I ended up making Halloumi cheese sticks and bacon in the same oven tray. I made up bacon sandwiches, caramelised chutney, an apple and some lemon Vienna cakes. And a can of the delightfully tangy Clementine juice.

The halloumi was okay, and the bacon was much better than yesterday’s offering. This is because I took Tim Price’s advice and poured the hickory over the bacon as it cooked, and as a result, it tasted a lot better. Flavour rating: 7/10.

WD 0.0.128A I didn’t even get to do the washing up, I fell asleep with the tray on my knee. I woke hours later, with the tray on the floor and my humungous body half out of the recliner.

I thought about picking up the dish, plate and crumbs… Zzzz!

Inchcockski – Mon 16 Mar: Stuck indoors again, Facebook not letting me in to add photos, I need undepressing!

GM 90.0.002:05hrs: I stirred from my slumber, feeling sedentary, reluctant to move. Jejune thoughts came and went; the brain didn’t want disturbing with anything too important. Nor in the least bit like any conscientious physical or mental activity! The maundering mind mused over puerile irrelevant facts and figures for awhile. The eyelids were heavy, and Borborygmus rumblings and gentle but scarily bubbly-sounding emissions of wind started in unison!

I was just not interested in moving! The dry coughing was annoying me; it prevented me from getting back to sleep! Hehe! Inevitably, the call to the Porcelain Throne arrived.

WD 150.0.0 Off to the wet room, got the stick out of the way, and plumped down on the throne. It was hard-going, but I forced the activity along. I wish I hadn’t now – the pain! One unpleasant mess to clear-up and medicate afterwards. The whole nine-yards of hassle to deal with this morning. What a start to the day!

WD 150.0.0 Little Inchies fungal lesion had been bleeding and was sore. The messy bowl (the Sennas had been working at last, too well!) needed cleaning. The evacuated product required much effort and flushing to get rid of! Which when I was in the middle of sorting things out, the metal four-pronged walking stick was caught with my left foot, and it fell, clouting the right foot big toe. On the way down, it knocked the pen off of the floor cabinet, which flew up in the air. It fell into the toilet without touching the sides, into the mess within! Crying was an option that I barely resisted!

1Mon04However, I reckon that the pins (legs) were looking betterer than they were yesterday! There was undoubtedly hardly any hassle from Arthur Itis this Monday morning. Anne Gyna and Duodenal Donald were making up for this, though. The stabbing pains from Ann, and the dull droning aches from Donald. As I left the wet room, limping a little, the toe was still a bit tender, I took care in case any dizzies, or loss of balance came on, not to use the stick too close to the right leg. What am I saying? I get them every day! Every hour, or less sometimes! Stop being splenetic Inchcock! (“Okay, Sorry!”) I think the pins will soon be looking healthy again.

1Mon01To the kitchen, where I was pleased to find I had not left any taps running, fridge door open, or parts of the stove left on! I got the kettle on and took a photographicalisation of the morning view. Made the brew of Glengettie Gold tea, and off to the computer to get the Sunday Diary updated.

WD 150.0.0 I got the computer on and checked first to see if Facebook had been repaired, and I could get back to tending to my beloved photo albums. As if! Third day with no access to collections now. Grrr!

1Mon02

I pressed on doing the Saturday blog and got it finished and posted off. (When I say this, it sound so easy, but took several hours) Then put what few pictures I had on Pinterest. Then went on the WordPress Comments. I checked the Amazon parcels; The one packet of red potato snacks and the 6 packets of Taokaenoi seaweed and the one bottle of Hickory sauce are due today. The absolutely ridiculously priced pack of 12 toilet rolls (I daren’t say what I’m paying, Oh, dearie me), are due on 18th to 20th March. Which was initially 16th, today. Will they ever arrive, or not? A few WUP (Weak-Unwilling-Painful) Mode tyle wee-wees were taken.

1Mon05I took a break, had a wee-wee, of the WUPT (Weak-Unwilling-Painful-Trickling) so very slowly, variety.

Then got the medicationalisationing sorted out. I remembered I should have made a vial of sample erm… water, for the nurse to collect, so had to fill the sample pot, which was no bother, the trickling is rampant today. Had a guzzle of the over the counter cough medicine as well. Then olive oiled the earholes.

I began on this post. I stopped and went to get the veg in the crock-pot. Onions, I’ve got two more in the fridge. I used the last of the other fresh vegetables up. Mushrooms, onions, and peas, seasoned with a little sea salt, light Soy sauce and vegetable seasoning stock cube. Oh, and a spoonful of mint in vinegar.

Weary-eyed,  I started to do the handwashing. Which went far better than yesterday, no big spillages and no toe-stubbings! Done, wrung and hung, I went to get the ablutions done.

During which, I needed four WUPs (Weak-Unwilling-Painful) Mode tyle wee-wees! But as with the handwashing, the ablutionalisationing went of a lot betterer than Monday’s. A few dropsies, only the toothbrush, razors (2), and the fresh air spray. Moreover, no toe-stubbing and the Sock-Glide tussle was injury-free!

Unfortunately, the chest pains started again as I came out of the wet room. I got the towel on the airer. Then made up three general waste bags and a large recycling one. There was no one about, so I took them to the waste chute.

WD 150.0.0 I came back and had a WUPT (Weak-Unwilling-Painful-Trickling) wee-wee. And decided it might be a good idea if I put the hot tap on instead of the cold one to fill the kettle with, and turned back to fill it. I now have some very artistic little scold-marks on my hand and arm. Frumpworthy Grobblecurses! I got the Savlon cream and used the last of it to ease the tiny blisters, but they all popped when I applied the medication? Now this made wonder. On closer inspection I found the ‘Use-By’ date on the box, to be ‘Oct 2006’! Ah, well, I don’t know how I’m going to get out for some more!

1Mon05bOn the computer again. I had a check on the Amazon bits progress for today. Nothing crucial, each one a bit of a treat actually.

Seaweed Snack, which was £1, I could have got packs of six far cheaper, but I thought it was commonsensible to try one first to see if I liked them. Did you see that? A moment’s logicality sneaked in there! Haha! I must not get carried away with it, though!

The toilet rolls I ordered but dare not tell you how much they cost, but TORK-UK company do not do a tracking system apparently.

1Mon06a

WD 150.0.0 I went on their website. Tork-UK is a New York owned and based firm, and their prices were a little less for the same thing than Amazon. But, not a lot, as Paul Daniels used to say. I looked up the details about the product, not that there was much of it.

1Mon06b

I shall have to work out what those, ‘M’ and ‘MM’ measurements are in English as I know it. Thank heavens for Google. 94mm is 3.7″, and 200mm 7.8″ per sheet, not too bad?

Of course, they have to arrive yet! Wednesday to Friday it says they are due. The lorry might get highjacked? And on Thursday, I have to go to the Podiatrists in the morning for an 08:30hr appointment, I hope it doesn’t arrive while I’m out! Oh dear, I’m worried now! If it comes on Wednesday, that would be the best thing. I’ll be stuck indoors anyway, I can’t go out until Thursday. I will soon need some bread and milk, although I can manage without them really, I suppose. Fresh veg and fruit will be sadly missed. Ah, I think I’ve ordered some of that stuff, from Iceland for tomorrow! I get confused easily, you know!

A leaflet was put through the door, weel, six of them were! I threw five straight into the recycling bag.

1Mon07WD 150.0.0 But had a read of the Farmfoods one. Unbelievable! They were advertising packs of 18 toilet rolls, @ 3 for £11!!! This may get them stampeded by the ruthless, nasty, hoarders of Nottingham. And will end-up in disaster for them! I hope not! But can already envision the responses from the Brexit-weary, Coronavirus C-90-frazzled, angry muggers, shop-lifters and gang members, even ordinary citizens, will be; after they have hastened to the stores to find they have sold out! A verbal insulting, vicious-marathon and possible blood bath will follow! Mark my words! The poor staff are going to be in for it when they run out of stock!

I rang Sister Jane to tell her of the advert. We had a natter, and things sounded better for her hubby Pete, medically speaking, I’m glad to say. Got a bit of a dizzy while talking to her, and most of the conversation didn’t make it to the memory-box. Phwert!

1Mon08WD 150.0.0 Back on the computer, but the usual old folk’s weariness was dawning fast. So I gave up, after trying Facebook first. Still no access to my photo albums! Grrr!

1Mon09aI got the chips in the oven and checked the vegetables in the Crock-Pot. The Amazon delivery arrived, and I left them to sort out later and pressed on with the nosh preperationing. And what a nosh it turned out to be. An 8/10for flavour. Super tasty! I could have done with an extra x6 servings of the Truffle Fries, but still.

1Mon09bI did the washing up, took the medications and opened the three bits from Amazon. The salt & vinegar flavoured seaweed snack pack (Not tried yet), six packets of Japanese style seaweed crispies (delicious!), and the Moores Hickory Marinade (Very costly!) I’ll ask on the TFZer Facebook if anyone knows how to use this Marinade.

1Mon10I put the boxes behind the £300, second-hand, grottily beige-coloured, c1968, not working, uncomfortable, falling to pieces recliner.

Then found boxes I’d put there earlier and had not removed yet! But I’ll get around to it sometime, I’m sure…

Washed, changed, and got settled to see some TV. The usual happened; watch a few minutes, nod-off a few minutes repeatedly, but no proper sleep for hours! Spit!
