was by far the worst ailment I had today. I have to find a dentist soon. Otherwise, I may find myself going stark-raving-mad.  come think of it, I think I’m at that stage now. What would be the next one up? Away with the fairies, barking mad, non-compos mentis, or nutty as a fruitcake, Hehe!
The meddlesome medley of like yesterday relented. However, I did have one hell of a mind-blank this evening that lasted for at least three hours. During this, Carer Joanne discovered that I’d cut up and seasoned some mushrooms earlier in the day and left the heat on under the pan when she did the taps and cooker checks for me. I genuinely thought she was joking at first. I went into the kitchen to her, and sure enough, I had. Why the hell I couldn’t remember doing it – and equally worrying, is how I did it without knowing and had no accidents, Accifauxpas or Whoopsiedangleplops doing it?
I also took some sky photographs as well.
But the mini-blanks, unless I didn’t realise, which must be possible, did not affect me much at all. On this long one, no blogging was done at all. What was I doing then? That’s a silly question. I was doing the mushrooms, but that wouldn’t have taken me three hours, surely. I found the sharp knife hours later, underneath the microwave cooker. I assume I’d used it to slice the mushroom with.
I used far too much of the pain-killer spray on the teeth today. was hardly any bother at all, up to now anyway. I’m going to ask a Carer to call the doctor on Monday. I’ll get to the surgery somehow or other. I rankling me now.
Getting yesterday’s blog done took me ages. This is surprising, really, because the toothache hadn’t been bothering me too much until today. Thanks to the pain-killer spray.

Cor, blimey. Must tell the doctor.

My first shot of the morning.

No mud, no rain.

Ablutions & Porcelain Throne time.
Urgh!

On and off of blogging.

These were found on the computer later.
Not only did I not recall doing the mushrooms that Joanne found, but I can’t remember taking these photos. But once I saw them, I remembered. Hehe!
To this one, after I’d sliced and seasoned the mushrooms.
Boy, did I season them!
Strong soya sauce, oregano, liquid smoke flavour, Polish Worcester sauce, sea salt, black pepper and some onion granules. I’m not sure, but I have a strange feeling, just might have added some mint? Just a feeling, like.

Afternoon view.

I wonder where the liquid in the car park came from?
No car washing, water shortage?

Beautiful clouds later on.

The big Blank arrived.

Two lovely sunset shots.
Smug-Mode Adopted.
But I was still bothered about the blanks.

Better put this result on while I remember.
I got eight of them in four hours. Haha!
Smug-Mode disengaged.

Waiting for Carer Precious to come.
I’ll go on WP reader and comments.

Caught the sunset for once.
I took these on the new Kodak.

Thanks to , the rating for the meal of the day was lower than it really deserved.

EPILOGUE
Carer Precious took off my socks. Checked the taps and stove, and was happier because he was on his way home.
Good for him. A nice lad.
I kept nodding off and waking up for hours.
It was a bad night, broken by , the odd strike, but most often it was who woke me up.
Terrible night!

I’m slowly developing into a worry-wart.
A whiner, crybaby, sniveller, up taut,

A second-rater, no-hoper, nought!
Inexact, fallacious, outfought…
Coping with depression, in a dort,
I have fears and dreams, unsort…
My hopes are ready to be thwarted…
My brain mangles each & every thought,
The catheter leaked today I have to report…
A wee-filled slipper is of no comfort!
Accifauxpas: I’m awaiting the onslaught,
It’s time for my sausage and sauerkraut,
‘Keep your chin up’, I was fore-taught…
I’ve got 3 chins, & still a worry-wart!

Please contact the New Nottingham Adoption Agency, should you be interested in adopting Inchy. Hehehe!

He has one or two ailments.
But is caring, if a little bonkers.
He can hoover, pet sit, & make a brew of tea.
He sometimes falls off of his walking stick.
He’ll keep you topped up with nibbles & drinkies.
He talks too much and hears less (he is almost deaf).
Most of his carers just don’t listen anymore.
He doesn’t blame them. He gets confused as he mumbles.
And tends to rabbit on a bit.
He easily forgets what it was he was saying.
Try not to over-ignore him; he sulks a lot

If anyone is still interested, please call us. Hahaha!

THURSDAY 18th AUGUST 2024

Dark.

Kitchen taken shots to catch the sun coming over the left read of the block of flats…
City Hospital, close up.
Then taken further out.

Chunky with liquid accompaniment. Haha!

I found time for a go on the crossword.
Got a few answered.

Balcony shot.

Carer Kara arrived. She noticed something that I didn’t…
WHOOPSIEDANGLEPLOP!
I was peeing down my left into the slipper that was slowly filling up with escaped from the catcher pouch wee-wee!
I was so embarrassed!
The closure tab was not shut all the way. Either that, or I’d caught it against something. I had a seizure at that moment.
Can’t recall the gal leaving.

Working on the blog.

ARRIVED yesterday.
Got it sorted and stored away.

Afternoon shot of the bottom field.

Getting a good few sudden dizzies today.

Carer Chris arrived. He took some shots on the spare camera.
Through the glass on the balcony.
Car park.
Then I took one of him of Christopher with one of his almost dangerous-looking expressions on. Hehe!

Getting late, I’ll get off the computer and get summat to eat.
See ya in the morning!

Good Morning.
Two shots of the sky.
Five minutes apart.

Taking the meal out of the oven…
And in came Carer Chris. Chris carried the food into the  c1966, £300 charity shop bought, second-hand, wincingly grotty, beige coloured, not working, crumb-covered from the nocturnal nibblings, itch-making, uncomfortable, virus-breeding, easy-to-fall-out-of, recliner for me. Treated him to some nibbles and a drink, and after attaching the nocturnal catheter pouch, and he trotted of home.
Ate the meal with a 7/10 Rating.

I went to wash the pots before getting my much-needed ablutions attended to. , Chris forgot to check the taps and stove. The hot water had run cold, which put the mockers on my plans to do the ablutions, and I’d left the oven turned on! I was glad I’d not left the plug in the sink!
 TV put on…
Zzz!

WEDNESDAY 7th AUGUST 2024

THE COMPUTER IS IN NEED OF FIRST AID.
At minimum, a corrective operation.
Maybe it’s due for a cremation.
BSOD Blue screen of death often comes on,
This helps the rhyming motion,
Lost files, at least a hundred and one.
They disappeared, they have gone…
Carer Kara is to telephone…
For computer doctor to pop along,
But no time to today. My fears are at Defcon!
Four times today, it’s frozen…
I worry, expecting the computer’s extinction.
I can’t get help or information…
I feel I’m existing in isolation.
Sinking into depression and frustration!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
I turned off the computer on the fifth BSOD. I tried every trick I knew to find out what the problem was, but I failed. I think the messages telling me the computer is low on free memory are indicative and possibly the art of the issue.
Tried again but nothing after the intro would move.
On the third try, I got to add this to the blog.
I hope it works for posting in the morning.
I dare not use up any more memory.

I missed the sun & cloud?
Gorrit, this time.
I used the ready-made mini pot of gravy for the meal. It saved a lot of time in preparing real gravy. Shake the pot rigorously, then microwave for one minute, wait 30 seconds and heat for another minute. What could be easier?
I’ll tell yer… making proper gravy! It took me that long to clean the splattered inside of the microwave; it would have been better to have made it from scratch! Hehehe!
Still, it tasted fine.

04:00hrs: I woke reluctantly, stirred back into imitation, pretended life, passed wind, and got an electric shock up my leg from the ankle ulcer via, checked on the time, and swiftly fell back to sleep again. Nice move!
I removed the nocturnal pouch from the catheter contraption. In doing so, I tugged at the tube. I’d like to say I did not shout out in pain, causing the bleeding to pour out all over the PPs, down my leg and all over the new nightshirt.
But if I did, I’d be fibbing.
I went off to the wet room, convinced I was going to have an evacuation this time. Fair enough, there were no rumbling and grumblings, but I did feel movement from the innards. I was wrong, of course.
I did some hoovering—I need to do it every day. Bits of foil from the tablets and mystery bits of what look like giant tea leaves magically appear. Haha!
As I went to the kitchen, I took a shot of the morning view. Then, I spotted a red light on one of the streets. So I zoomed Kodak 2 into it and took this effort on the left. I cleaned and nearly almost tidied up the kitchenette, and the car with its lights on was still there. See the streets in Nottingham, my American friends? Talk about narrow. Pavement parking is the only option for anyone with two cars.

Thanks to Jenny’s tip in getting a baby monitor and Deana and Julie putting it together for me, I heard the intercom chime! Great! Thanks to all three of them again! It was the Asda delivery. Possibly the worst one ever. It’s not the driver’s fault, I think. He packed most of the goods from his trays into boxes and bags for me. Then I got the bags in the hallway and carried them one at a time into the kitchen and junk room.
There didn’t seem many items as I slowly got them put away into the various places as needed.
The fridge didn’t look anywhere near full?
I donned my Sherlock Holmes Cap and went on the internet to find out what was wrong with this order. I soon found out.
Look at the items that were not available on this list from their Email. Five items were unattainable last week, but they went a step further this week.
There were some things missing: 3 Asda thick bleach citrus 750ml, Ben Shaws shandy 1×6, and 4 Asda Bi-carb! I was pretty pissed off at being charged for these.
Then, a genuine rumble from the innards, I limped to the wet room. 30 minutes of crosswording, whistling and counting the cracks on the ceiling (24) again, and no signs of any movement. Plenty of wind, though. Talk about trapped wind, but it kept coming out almost two-tone musically at times. I gave up,
I eventually made a start on yesterday’s blog.

I remember using the new Kodak camera to take these shots of the clouds below.

But so many, a flood of Dizzy Spells and Seizures ravaged me. I’ve no idea who came or didn’t. Yet I found these pictures which at the time amazed me… I’d ordered another food order earlier via Amazon from Morrisons. I need help with these mind blanks. I shall see if Kara can get me a lift to the Doctor’s sorted out ASAP, then see if the Dr can see me on that day and time. Or the other way around.

As Carer Cris arrived, I came back to as near to normality as I’d ever get. I think I was responsive; no, I was! And I can recall much of this visit.
But the seizures continued, but it seemed for only a minute or two at a time. Again, during one of them, I took more shots of the amazing clouds, this time with the new Kodak.

Then I had a bit of luck!

More sky shots with the spare old camera.

Last call from Carer Chris. He wanted to get home, bless him.
I gave him some treats. He’s a good lad.
Another fairly long seizure or mind-blank.
I found two more photos taken on the SD card.
I’m afraid I missed getting full pleasure from these shots.

Better get this on before I risk making a midnight feast.

Hope to be back in the morning… Hehe, it is morning now.
Back later, he says confidently.
I’m back…
I consumed a hell of a lot of bothers and bleeding to make a meal… Tsk!

All behind again. A quickie.
No, not tomato soup…
It was my overnight urine.

First kitchen shot of the day.

Just like yesterday, we had an early light rainfall that dried up in about 10 minutes, and no more again. I think I’ve put the wrong photo on here? Sorry.

I got the hoover with the headlights out and did a bit of cleaning up. Not much mind.
Sunday again, 10:00hrs and no 07:00hrs Carer arrived to sort the medications for me. No surprise, this is almost usual recently at the weekends. I can understand the problems that can arise from my experiences as a Security Controller.

It was slow progress again with the blog updating. At 11:15hrs, Carer Fazziyya arrived. I got the medications from her, and we managed a little natter and let her pick her nibble and drinkie. She still had two more calls to do before she could go home, bless her. Nice gal.

I had a prolonged Seizure. Came back to as near to reality as possible and went to make a brew. Carer Helen arrived. She could not issue any medications, which meant I suffered a little longer with . The gap was not long enough to cover the 4 hours gap limit on painkillers. So, I put an effervescent Nurofen tablet in the spring water.

I made a meal of soft foods. Well, the potatoes I burned were painful, so I had to leave some. I washed the pots and intended to sit down briefly to clear my head before tackling the blog again, but… Zzz’s!
Two hours later, I woke up and got back on the computer. I seem to have lost a lot of wasted time today?

Then Carer Sushaman arrived. was already here, he’s been with me all day. Hehehe!
.
He sorted the big medication issues out for me.
He noticed I was scratching at my arm all the time, so we examined the offending limb.
,
Aha, a further outbreak of Acne or Eczema?
Well, fancy that, another ailment for me.

I carried on blogging, not getting very far cause I kept mind-wandering off to other things.

I meandered out onto the balcony and took some shots of the slowly getting lower sun, with the awesome pattern of clouds highlighted, it seemed for me personally, with my Pareidolia’s Delight.
I bet you can see some of the things I did in the sky. Go on, see what you can find.
The ghost? The dolphin? Or maybe it’s my new spectacles that will help me see them?
Hahaha!

I’ll have a go on the WP reader, before the next Carer is due.
Some great poems and photography on WP tonight. Doug’s cats, Andy and Tim, were exceptional.

21:00hrs I turned off the computer, having managed a little work on the blog, at last, and awaited the arrival of the last Carer of the day’s call.
21:55 hrs: Carer Richard arrived. He did not sound too happy. I got him a cold drink, and he took care of the medications.

After he’d gone, I had some hunger pangs despite my already having eaten a little meal. I took a night view shot while prepping the meal.
Potato waffles, veggie sausages, some Milk Roll sliced bread, and a very tasty lemon and lime-flavoured vegan dessert.

Everywhere there is cheating competition,
Humankind is at fault, the causation…
The world breeds an immoral civilianisation,
Each proletariat morphs into a curmudgeon,
World leaders get greedy & cantankerous,
Who can supply the counter-aggression?
From driving over a chevron…
to militarily, daily killing of a million,
Is this God’s & Allah’s dominium?
I have yet to make my decision!

Talk about a busy, messy, confusing, frustrating day.
Yes, it was a normal one for me. Different? Oh, yes! But coping with such a lot to do and sort at the same time and extra situations arriving, which is more than the eBay order did, I have to admit it got to me. and I even found time to have a few short that didn’t help me to cope. I had several Unexpected visitors, welcome as they were, who took up hours and hours of the day. It is now 22:20hrs… and I’ve just started this blog. It doesn’t help with having to recreate the icons and graphics I stupidly lost yesterday. I’ll try not to waffle too much, but the unexpected events, occurrences, and problems while being visited by to have the yearly fact & figure updating interview. One while Carer Kara and then Carer Christopher were here. Very embarrassing. I tried to write things down to remember, but much of today’s history is now in the ether, most of which I didn’t make notes of to prompt me later.
I was stuttering, mumbling and struggling to find words to answer the questions that came from the three occasions. I’ll do my best to fill in the blanks… no I won’t; I’d probably get that wrong. I’m becoming something of an authority and maestro at making an exhibition of myself, but usually, I’m not aware of it, but I was today, pure self-embarrassment.

But Warden Deana, dealing with so many other tenants affected in a similar way, took it all in her stride. Bless her. Thanks, Deana, my preciousness. 💘
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
I woke up rather earlier, 04:14hrs.  (I don’t think I’ll even get to bed tonight! (00:24hrs now). I’d passed much urine overnight.
Wee-wee too dark again, though.
I took this sadly poor shot of the view from the kitchen windows.
I took a lot of photos today, I just couldn’t stop?
I shelled the last of the pod peas. Initially, I wanted to have a meal, but with all the hassle and need to get this blog done, I didn’t have a meal. But of course,  was on and off all day, even worse now, and missing a meal will do me little harm with the lard I’m carrying around my waist.
After washing, I took these three shots of the morning view from the kitchenette window again. I think I must have got a wobble on with the second shot.
I may have had a mini-seizure here. My next recollection is that I was at the computer, and I’d put it on, but nothing was done on it. I automatically, when coming out of the mind-blank, went and checked the taps in the wet room and cooker in the kitchen. The wet room was okay, but the hot water tap in the kitchen sink had been left on. I turned it off, but the water was stone cold. No shower today, then. I found I  had made a brew of tea. It was near the kettle; no milk in it, and that was cold too
. I didn’t get too annoyed with myself, lets face it, I get these blanks every day of varying degrees.
I opened CorelDraw and got some graphics created for the blog.
Downloaded some graphics onto Wednesday’s update and pressed on with getting it finalised.
Suddenly I had to abandon the blogging to go to the wet room and Porcelain Throne.
Trotsky Terence was back. But the evacuation was still painful. Bits of blood scattered in, Still Kharki coloured and excessively smelly. I even noted a whole garden pea in the mixture! The Ocado delivery arrived. I’d forgotten all about it coming.
I got the carriers to the kitchen and started sorting out their contents. Some of the bags were torn, so it took me some time.
There is plenty of food now. The red spring onions arrived; I do like them. I put them in the fridge and somehow made room for the bread in the full freezer.
Again my stomach and innards sent me to the Porcelain Throne. This time the battle between and was closer. Not only that, the blood was a deeper red. Which indicated that the poor had been torn open. The freshly put-on PPs an hour or so ago were well red, as were my bottom and legs! Washing up yet again, having to boil water in the kitchen and carry it to the wet room, a high-risk task, but all okay.
I went onto the balcony for a break from making mistakes on the Wednesday blog. It appeared that it had been raining during the night. The mudslide near the end car park had returned. The petricor was smellable as soon as I opened the window. Not many people about this morning. Back into the flat, Carer Chris arrived. Chris pointed out that I was stuttering a lot this morning. I’d not noticed until then. After he’d gone, I made an order for next week, for Tuesday, I think, from Asda. I got a phone call from the District Nurse to say they would not be calling, but they will next week.
Carer Kara arrived to do the finances. This is when the second Howling-Haze and Memory-Blank attack came. I’m sure I had to remember something she told me, but from here on, I had no notes to access. I know she went to the computer. I may or may not have mentioned my search for a child monitor, or maybe I mentioned it to her on Wednesday. We may have looked on the Amazon site, but we could not find a straight plug-in one. I’m not certain. Yet I do recall Deana arriving later on, and we did look on Amazon but could not find one suitable. She kindly said she’s check and email me back if she found any. Which she did. She emailed exactly what to put on the Amazon search box. She said the same thing is cheaper from Argos, suggesting I get one from there. So I ordered one. Of course, with the delivery charge, it proved costlier than the Amazon one. I can’t win! Nothing new there, then.
Deana carried out the personal detail listing. I was not fully with it and struggled to find words; that is not me usually. I could not find Sister Jane’s new telephone number or address. I had to call her and ask. I got a telling-off from her, of course, for not knowing where it was. Hehehe!
Then came a threat of a £1000 fine via a letter from the Government about me not paying the full price for a TV licence. The letter added that they had permission and that someone would be calling to check that if I had a television, a prosecution would follow. Deana wrote down her telephone number, and when they come, I’m to tell them to ring her. Apparently, several tenants have had one of these red letters.
Then, the big seizure came. Yet I had done a lot of work on CorelDraw, without too many errors as well,
The doctor’s receptionist called with the new Warfarin Doses.
The District nurse called… I’ve mentioned this already. Tsk!

The above sunset photos were taken, and then an hour or so later, the ones on the left.

Carer Chris arrived. He was in a good mood, bless him, and I took this shot of him while he was in a manly but jolly mood.
Hehe, there was no catheter bag to put on. I had not eaten, and cooking while carrying the bag and tube is dangerous. There were no diabetic socks to take off, which I had not put on. He liked his treats and merrily went off home. Thanks, Chris. Have a good kip. I left the TV on, thinking I’d have time to watch it while eating the meal. It didn’t work out, lol. It’s 01:20 hrs
now. No TV watching. Nothing to eat.
I’ve just put some spuds in the oven.
I’ll try to wake up in the morningOh, it is morning! And then I’ll get back on here. No, I won’t! I’ll carry on with this!

I’ve missed some photos off, better late than never. Humph!
Just before it went over the horison, I, at long last, got a decent shot of the retiring Sun.
I was pleased with this one.
.

An horison shot after the sun had gone to sleep. The lower shot is of the end car park, it was a bit dark. The drizzle had started again, but by the time I’d taken the photographs and closed the window – without trapping my finger (I knew something had to go right!).

Tired, deflated, and in a mind-haze, I got the much-belated meal  prepared and served on a  tray. I gave it a rating of 6.9/10 For flavour & taste, it would have been far higher had not made eating it so painful.
No sooner had I finished eating it than I delved into the warmth of Sweet Morpheus for at least ten minutes. Then, my right ankle took over the Keep-Inchy-Awake Duties. She did an excellent job of it, too. Humph!

FRIDAY 9TH AUGUST 2024
After many false starts, lack of interest, and repeatedly nodding off again, I felt the motion in the innards. Rumbling with the odd, almost sloshing sensation at times that threatened the return of Trotsky Terence’s return. But not yet of an urgent nature, more a pre-warning, methinks.
As I was taking this snap of the removed from the catheter nocturnal pouch and saw the terribly deep colour, the need for the Porcelain Throne became more intense. In my haste to ensure I got to the WC on time, I  had a couple of Accifauxpas en route.  The first was my treading on the electricity cable and catching my ingrowing toenail on it; a quick curse worse was let out, then I dropped the walking stick, and finally (I thought), I shoulder charged the door edge as I clambered in my haste to get into the wet room. No messing, I lifted the gown, downed the protection pants and got seated on the plastic WC lid!
The motion of the evacuation was much slower than I’d anticipated; however, there was no boredom, counting cracks in the ceiling or crosswording this morning.
After a night without, as far as I recall, any electric shocks up the leg from the ankle lesion, the moment I tried to urge the motion to start sent a couple of disorientating streaks of lighting up the leg. I’ve never suffered two in a row before. She carried on throughout the day, giving me the odd one now and then, but no more doubles. That double was really painful!
Then, the motion splurted out. was back in full control, no doubt about it. However, the Kharki colour that he had favoured for a fortnight now was again on show. It was straw-like in appearance. I checked the time and decided I could get the ablutions done before a Carer was due. So I did…
ABLUTIONALISATIONINGS
Teeth cleaning and shaving are the first jobs. Careful as I was, the gums bled. Just two little nicks shaving, But at one stage, I had give me another single-strike visit. This caused  , to give way.
Luckily, I was rinsing and not shaving at the time.
I was fortunate there.
The Showering Session went well, too. The lower region cleaning was a smidge painful, though, with all the dried blood from Little Inchies Fungal Lesion and the tugging of the Catheter MedPhorpaintube. Next, to the various medicating duties. I olive-oiled the earholes. Then Phorpain gelled Cartilages Carole and Chloe. Then Arthur Itis’s patella to the front of both legs. Got Acne on the head and eczema on the belly and chest creamed. Red Rash ointment under the man-breasts and down bellow. I can’t reach to get the ingrowing toenails done or get my Diabetic socks on; I’ll ask the Carer later. Sprayed over the toothache. Nasal sprayed the nostrils.
I’m always left with the feeling that I’ve missed something after abluting, and the medicationings are done, or not done.

On to the blogging.
Took this snap from the computer desk through the balcony,
Well, this may sound ridiculous, but it is, I suppose. But it was as if I’d blinked, and four hours had disappeared.
I found that I’d finished yesterday’s blog and posted it of, and was currently working updating on today’s old ode.
Realising this, I checked the other rooms for taps or anything left on. The oven had been put on, but it was on low heat. Has it been like that all night and day? I don’t think so; the top of the cooker was not that hot, so I assume I did it not long ago.
Then, I had to check to see if I’d made any errors on Thursday’s blog. Yet I felt alright in myself. Apart from the usual confusion about what else I’d been up to.

Carer Jonee arrived. She’s an upbeat, straight-as-it-is kind of gal. I like her. I’ll not mention that she has similar problems to me, but she understands things that others don’t or can’t. Bless her. I carried on with starting this blog.

BEAUTIFUL CLOUDS
Photo Number One: I see a face/head of a beast and one of a human.
Photo 2: I see a cupid, two distinct faces; one is human, the other might be.
Three faces and bodies of a weasel-like nature.
Photo 3: An angel of sorts. A cat’s face in the right cloud. Maybe the outline of a pig is in this one
. I looked once and saw it, searched for more, and can’t find it! Photo 4. A face with an elongated head. Left, a partial face. All the pictures remind me of icebergs.

I was about to make up some more cartoons, and…CALAMITY!
CorelDraw stopped responding altogether!
I could not close anything or open anything!
No response to the keyboard on anything at all!
The Task Manager thingamagig came up.
All beyond me and depression dawned.
I considered crying after my initial swearing.
So, I left it for an hour, then turned everything off.
It let me close the computer, well no… I clicked
on Restart. When it came back on, CorelDraw loaded and worked? But not saving the work I’d done meant a lot of
lost time before it loaded the working screen. But it did!
I reopened Word, which had the Ode partly done on it,
that was auto-saved for me,
My concerns were quadriad,
Enough I have nearly had,
I feel a bit of a dingwad,
Dad would say, Young-fellow-Milad…
Life’s not all good, there’ll be bad,
Earn your wages, pay your way…
Be prepared to die one day,
Cause no sod cares, do they?
Some of the things that he did say!
Hahaha! Thanks, Dad!

The Iceland Man Cameth.
Popped the bags in the doorway for me.
I took them one at a time into the kitchen.
Topped up with drinkies to keep the bladder and catheter happy.
And some treats for myself.

arrived.
Sniffing at the bag with Joanne’s treats in for offering to wash my nightshirt thingies for me. After explaining that the cotton they are made of should not go in the tumble dryer, that’s why they have shrunk so much. And I was thinking I was piling on the weight. Hehehe! Chris sorted the medications, and will be doing the last call of the day later. So, I must now get something to eat before he arrives, or maybe leave it until after he’s been & gone. Decisions, decisions… not my scene at all nowadays!
No, no, I’ll make it afterwards because I still have to read the WP Reader. I’ll go on the reader now.
Some great blogs on tonight.

Turning off now, the need for food, you know. Hehe!

I bought some vegetarian sausages and some chips (fries) today. They were pale-looking and unattractive to me at first, but with salt and vinegar added, they were decent enough and not too hard on the teeth. I also bought a few potato waffles and halved tomatoes. Two wholemeal rolls and a pot of mandarins in jelly to follow. I gave Carer Chris the other two rolls with his other self-selected nibbles and drinkies.
I took this shot of the sunset from the kitchen window. Then
I did the washing up and eventually worked out how to play back the recorded Heartbeat episodes. I started watching Series 8, number eight and fell asleep. I woke up what I thought was a few minutes later and found I was watching Series 8, episode 15. I couldn’t believe it. I must have changed summat without remembering because, according to the recording, I’d watched 7 one-hour episodes, which meant it should now be about 05:00hrs. But it was 02:00hrs. I’m sorry I wrote this now; I’ve just confused myself more. An easy thing to do, though.

The sleep was lousy, maybe the worst ever for getting disturbed. This time, by . He’d given me a break for two nights, but he was back with a vengeance last night.  I wish that & would ease off a little bit… if not go away altogether.

Sorted the night pouch. The next task was the utilising of the Porcelain Throne. After a long slog, the first of the three tungsten steel-type sausages was released. The second one was not too keen to escape. Several Oohs and Arghs later, it was released. A moment later, I was getting on my feet to sort the after-the-release cleaning out. I had to hastily get myself down again, just in time, too. The final flurry produced a tough, tiny torpedo that hurt more than the first two put together! Hehe!

My ankle ulcer looked much better, although the legs were a little bloated and misshaped, to say the least. Hehehe!
Shaving and showering – yes, a lovely shower, were bloodless, which can’t be said for Little Incies Fungal Lesion.

I then got the late morning (I got up later today) morning views taken and realised something about each of the shots taken.
Zoomed in shot of HMP Nottingham. Opened in 1890 as a city gaol but was reconstructed in 1912, and until 1997, served as a closed training establishment for adult males. In 1997, D wing and E wing were opened, and the prison became a category B local establishment serving local courts in Nottingham and Derby. Currently holding 1,200+ interned villains. 2 local and 7 illegal immigrant killers & Murderers, 5 attempted murderers, muggers, con artists, causing death by dangerous driving, con artist, child molesters, drug dealers, pick-pocket, rapists, and an ex-politician. Having just released a convicted murderer of three old age pensioners from his 20-year sentence after 6 years. No doubt he’ll kill more innocents again, thanks to the murderous Parole Boarder’s decision to free him.
Within this shot towards the City Centre, there have been, in the last year, eight murders.
The biggest drug raid done by the police in Nottingham was at these flats. They found drugs worth £1.2m in one flat. In which four immigrants were living free of all charges, awaiting a decision to be made. Only one was charged and is still waiting in the same flat for him to be deported back to Lithuania. Perhaps they will drop him by parachute?

Pod pea preparing – a nibble pot?

Afternoon view.

Early meal – Nice!

Afternoon shots of the sky.

Dizzy, double vision, I had to give up on the blog.
TV,,, and nodded off for a few minutes – sprang awake… repeatedly until the Care arrived, who caught me nodding and woke me up. Hehe!

I fell asleep. The springing awake continued, so I got up to check the taps, cooker, etc., and apparently took this photo.
What was supposed to be, I know not.

Ahem, I found it within 3 seconds!
No, I’m not joking.

It’s darned slow work having to recreate all signs, as the Smug-Mode one each time I want to use one. Grumph!

Thursday is likely to be a heavy day with other things too.
The snotty, superior, humourless SpecSavers chap is coming to find the new spectacles. Sister Jane & Pete might be calling. The nurse is due to take out and fit a new catheter set-up. The Ocado food delivery is due. The delivery of the present for someone is due. There’s something else as well, but I can’t remember what it was. Might it be a call coming in from the Diabetes Program chap? Or… well, summat else.

The old showerhead is breaking, and the new one is not working. I left the hot water tap running cold again. My eyes fade far too early in the day, and I have double vision, with shadows on the letters and words on the computer as and after typing.
and giving me some stick and occasionally failing. And pains. bleeding. Even a  …

All took second place in the agony stakes today, to  and the new ailments on the block! My concentration was almost nonexistent at times. Both came in waves, eased off a little, and then returned, not at the same time, of course. They cunningly made sure that extra discomfort of some kind from one or the other was omnipresent. Even stinging away at me was almost acceptable! Naturally this happens when there is no one to call for help at the weekend.
I’d forgotten how many painkillers I’ve taken – and am about to take even more. Excuse me…
I’ve just taken the last of the liquid Codeine. When that wears off, I think what I’ll do is in the hands of the Gods. I’ve sprayed water in the left earhole three times today, but it is not getting any worse at the moment, at least. I keep putting in the olive oils regularly, too. I’m looking on the bright side!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

04:10hrs: I disconnected the side-saddle nocturnal catheter pouch. (Later on, Carer Kim said it was a 6 on the NHS colour card)
Within minutes of rising from my much-needed but short slumber, both & kicked off.
I hobbled to the wet room to see if the shower had started working. Huh! Beep-beep-beep! Water supply, “Turn off & reset” Another bother: I’ll have to ask the Caregiver in the morning to phone or get Warden Deana to phone about the shower, then phone the dentist, then phone the Audio Clinic and Doctor about the earache. I have a distinct feeling this week is going to be… well, not a good one, possibly a swine!
I went to the kitchenette to put the kettle on to have warm water available for self-ear watering and took a photo of the view. Later, I found this one on the right, on the SD card. I can’t understand why I took it.
Then I did left and right Kodaking of the wonderful light sky and beautiful clouds on offer.

I decided to take some solvable over-the-counter painkillers, spray the tooth pain-killer in the mouth and did the first ear flushing of the day. Over the day, I did five flushing of the left ear, which seemed to help a little. I also used the toothache spray six times and took painkillers.
I took the first macro photo, and I was pleased with taking this pain spray picture on the left later in the day.
I got on the computer to update yesterday’s blog. It was farcical, as the pain from the toothache kept on and on. Concentrating was impossible, but I pressed on. The mind-blanks were not helping things in the slightest. Carer Kim arrived and saw straight away the state I was in. I just waffled on, not sure what to say. I was in the middle of suffering a mind blank at the time she arrived. I think she looked at the showerhead. She was certainly caring and concerned about me.
I offered nibbles and a drink in thanks. I got the photos mixed up earlier; this is the one taken in the morning. I fear there may be other errors in this blog.

Also I refilled the Carers & Nurses nibble box earlier and missed it off or got it mixed up in my muddles, pain-filled head.
Sorry.
I think I took this one later, with the first cloud shots way above.
The kids and family play area in Woodthorpe Grange Park. There was no mudslide today, and there has been no rain for ages! I have been working on the blog for hours but am not really aware of doing it at the time. Pain distorts one’s brain. How I got the photos out of sync and order, I don’t know. I do, really, but I am trying to avoid feeling sorry for myself. Hehehe!
These cloud shots I think I took from the balcony, but I most likely didn’t. I should have said I don’t know where I took these shots. The pain is getting bad now. The toothache is much worse than the earache. I kept dosing myself; I’m not sure I had any choice in the matter, really. Arrgh! Twice!

Carer Ali came. He wanted to call for an ambulance or at least 111. Bless him.
At least the ankle and legs were much better. Or is it because the toothache is worse? Tsk!
It’s mid-afternoon now, and I’ve got some potatoes in the oven. If one cooks them slowly and for longer, the potato flesh is much softer and edible. Hopefully, it’s less painful to eat, too. I said mid-afternoon, but I just looked at the clock, 19:00 hrs gone!

I better get the potatoes and find something soft to have with them. I’ll dollop a load of no-butter butter in them; that might help—or not, knowing my luck!
Back in the morning… He says!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Carer Richard called. In a rush. My earache was a little better. The Toothache was not!
I couldn’t eat the pastry; it was too hard. But the soya and gravy were alright if I ate carefully. The lemon non-dairy pot of whatever it was called was okay.
This is a poor evening shot. No, not so. By now, it was a morning shot taken after washing the pots, pans, plate, and tray and putting some more tooth spray in my mouth.

THE PRISONER

The captive looks out at the world beyond his cell, erm, flat, and also beyond his capabilities to get out into.
He can recall the past from his still semi-active long-term memory.
Marathon running, playing squash, boxing, and both of his sexual contact experiences, in great detail, actions, emotions and failures.
What is his short-term memory? He’s wondering why he went out onto the balcony. He can clearly see His Majesties Prison Nottingham from his balcony, where the criminals are fed for free. There are no worries over doing the laundry, paying rent, or paying for the electricity. They are fed three times a day at no cost to them. Free computer access! A medical nurse is in attendance 24/7. There is a dentist, too. There are no caregivers’ bills for them. If they get tooth and earache at the same time, they will be tended to. Inchy won’t, he has to wait until Monday, then hope a friendly carer calls who will phone the dentist and doctor for him. If their showerhead stops working, they can use the one next to it and get the other repaired in less than the eight days Inchy has waited. (Up until now). and will not have to pay either; Inchy does!  Inchy doubts if they would have to wait the three years he has to to get his Glaucoma lasering done. (Up to now). Inchy had been referred to a specialist to investigate both of his cartilages, it’s been nearly a year ago now. Would the prisoners, murderers, child molesters, drug gang members, etc., have to wait so long? Inchy doubts it. Then again, he doubts his very sanity, logicality, longevity, and practicality.
He gets more dithery, edgy, jittery, uptight, jumpy, nervy, wobbly, unstable, vacillating, doubtful, and tentative, which brings us back to his dithering. His hazey-maze of hesitation, indecisiveness, humming and hawing, equivocation. Not that it matters; he’s incapable of remembering. Only this morning, he once again left the hot water tap running!
And his ankle feels like there are worms inside, burrowing!
He’s forever worrying over everything and nothing.
I don’t know why he does this chronicling.

Incurable Inchy: Friday 26th July 2024 – A Mass of Annoying Whoopsies

Last night’s sleep was full of intrusions. Dozens of them! I spent the night waking up with a jump and, amazingly, swearing and falling rapidly back into slumber. Occasionally, pain from ‘s  Ankle Ulcer got in on the act. Fair enough, I try not to have any favourite ailments. Hehe! … Unfortunately, the Sherida Shocks didn’t know when to stop today. I think they are connected partly to having my stroke . I signed onto the healthunlocked.com site, and sometimes, well, very often, others say of their electric shocks. The American ones have specialists and many varied treatments received. All I got from the NHS, was when they diagnosed it; ‘It will only get worse with time, the is nothing we can do to repair dying neurotransmitters’ the nwent home and looked up what they were on the laptop.
However, I did not suffer with them then. Since the Diabetes took a stronger hold of me, so did .
So, not a restful night. Humph!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Not a lot of writing today. You’ll see why later. Huh!
Yet another too-deep colour for the nocturnal catheter pouch to be recorded.

The one good thing about the Porcelain Throne evacuation was that for the… wait for it, 15 minutes spent waiting for the motion to start, plus the 9 minutes of agony it took to force it along, I didn’t have a single shock from .
However, for the first time in three days, poor old bled this time.

So, I got the extremities cleaned and medicated next. Olive oiled the ears, tooth tinctured the teeth, Barrier creamed my underarm, and man-breasts rashes. Then Phorpain gelled Arthur Itis, Cartilages Chloe and Carol. Got the eye drops in, I could not reach to treat the ingrowing toenails, but Carer Christopher did them for me later on, bless him. Then, as carefully as I could, I started shaving. A lot of blood was coming from the right earhole tab; I had to pour some Brut over it to find where it was coming from.   Instantly, I found it… it stung a bit. It turned out to be a massive, gigantic wound about the size of half that of a small pinhead.  Hehe!

Carer Kara came. She was in a rush; she was doing a double. Medicated me, barrier creamed all my red spots. ♥ We spoke about something on the computer, but I can’t remember what else due to my going into a Seizure of some sort; I assume Kara thought I’d nodded off. Or it may have come on after Kara had left? Hahaha!
Later, Carer Chris arrived.
I was sorting out the Low-Cost Food Shop order that was delivered last night, and I’d forgotten about respite walking around the boxes all morning and last night. Fool!
WHOOPSIEDANGLEPLOP!
My annoyance was more annoyanced than ever before! How I did it, I don’t know… but the word list I had to create again after losing the original to the ether just couldn’t be found! I committed myself to do nothing else at all until I found it.
No doubt at all; I also lost the page on the notepad where I had the noddle for once to write down the name of the file and where I’d stored it last afternoon; it brought shame, misery and depression I could have done without. And the time that it cost me! I searched everywhere to try and find that notepad page. No luck, of course. I then search through all the Word. docs on the control panel.
I was getting more upset and self-lambing and was on the verge of giving up and doing something silly. After three hours, to me, it was so important to find it to do today’s blog with I was tempted to start drinking again. Instead, I meandered depressedly into the kitchen and took two shots of the sky views.
The beauty of the clouds took my mind off of my worries for a few minutes. Then, I searched each room again for the note page. No chance, of course. Then took more snaps.
Back on the computer, as I started another search in the hope that I’d missed them, with my eyes getting foggy and double vision – I had an epiphany!
At the same time, an inner self-anger rose up!
Twit! Dumbo! Imbecile! Idiot!
Bird-brain! Featherhead! Stupid-Clot!

Doofuss! Nerk! Knuckle-dragger!
I suddenly realised that I’d saved it in Notepad!
My self-esteem was low enough before…
ARGH!!!
Giving up seems like an idea at this moment!.

I shelled some more, the last of the fresh garden peas ready to use later. I’ve spent so much time searching for ~ Words I’d lost but hadn’t, I just forgot where I’d stored them—that Chris did his evening call already!
If I ever catch up on this blog, I’ll look forward to this feast. Or will I? I’m feeling low.
Chris took these Kodak snaps of my poor old legs for me.
The ankle ulcer does not look like it is going to erupt, but the base has gone all around the lower leg, so we’ll see what happens. Along with the shocks it sends up the leg, it has now started itching like mad. Oddly, for the first time, the lower arms are the same. Beats me?
I’ve waffled more than I planned to, but I will be on this blog for hours yet. Might have to pack up, but I can’t sleep cause the replacement showerhead is due at 22:00hrs. I’ll check the tracker again; hang on… Yes, it’ll be ten before it gets here.

I’ll make some nosh. But I dare not not fall asleep before the showerhead arrives, and I am so tired. I’ll not be back on tonight.
I do fear missing hearing the intercom when the delivery arrives. Oh, dear. It’s back to near normal for me today!

The showerhead and batteries arrived at about 21:40hrs.
Carer Chris will fit it for me in the morning.

I got the belated nosh at last.
This is me, feet up, tray on the humongous belly, watching some recorded ‘Heartbeat’ episodes. It took me a while to work out how to get them running. I’ve got to remember to ask Carer Kara again because there must be a quicker way of doing it than I did.
I nodded off to sleep, so I won’t be going to bed tonight. However, the sleep was much better, believe it or not. And, awakenings were far less than they have been lately. She may have tired herself out with the legions of daytime shocks she issued me with!

I found them… (Smug-Mode Adopted) But it took me nearly 10 minutes, so the Smug-Mode was removed.
