THE LOW-DOWN ON TODAY’S MAIN FRUSTRATION
The usual battle, failing and bleeding on the Porcelain Throne. Although painful and bloody in the extreme, I did manage an evacuation on my third visit.
Later, I got three more letters arrive, no, four!
① The TV Licensing wallahs about my upcoming prosecution with the outcome of a probable £1000 fine.
② My bank telling me that My Carer Kara must contact them… I think the word used was ‘imperative’. Difficult as she is not here. I hope she’s on holiday and not doing poorly.
③ I got a letter from my old bank telling me the savings account interest rate is being removed.
④ My home insurance company confirms that the increase in the renewed policy cost is 40%.
I was a little confused about all these Arithmaphobia-testing letters arriving, some for the second time. Well, it’s the third one, from the TV Licensing place.

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
I woke with a start at 03:30 hrs, but I soon easily nodded off again. At 05:00 hrs, lightning shot up my right leg from the ankle ulcer. I thought it was just as well, as I felt the rumbling from the innards and swiftly passed some wind. Well, a lot of wind. So, I fumbled about getting out of the hospital bed, but without any falls, sways, or toe-stubbing. This in itself cheered me up a little. Then my innards gave me a suspected it was a false pre-warning of an evacuation imminent. I grabbed hold of , and almost but not entirely in a perky mood,I got to the wet room.
The same routine has been followed for the last three mornings. The pain of trying to force things along forced me to try the crossword book. This morning, I also got several answers in!  . The cracks in the ceiling seem to have reduced from yesterday; only 22 were found.
I spent that long trying to start the evacuation. I started… wait for it… singing to myself, trying to remember the words to an Adam Faith song from 1960. Poor Me. It reached number one in the charts but didn’t help me recall the lyrics. Anyway, I gave up on the impossible mission and to go to the kitchen to take some window shots of the view.
After cleaning the Porcelain Throne’s state after cleaning it, I thought… no, I’m sure I saw a tiny fish-like creature in the bubbles in the porcelain. I fetched Kodak Two and took this picture of the suspected beast in the bubbles. Hehehe! Maybe a worm or something? I thought at the time, I’m going bonkers here!
Carer Christopher arrived. He’s not a morning lad. The nearer he gets to going home, the more alert and happy he seems. Still, he medicated me and put the diabetic socks on my legs.

I took a shot to the left, then to the right of the morning fascinating minimum clouds, with the red hue mixed in the scenes.

Minutes after Chris had departed, the mail arrived, which got me going, frustrated, and in a mental pickle. So much so that I decided that as the second carer yesterday could or would not ring the dentist for me, I’d try myself. I hoped that the receptionist lady with a clear voice and understandable accent would answer the phone. No such luck. I apologised for bothering her. I may have got the wrong number somehow, maybe? No joy there, then.
The banks totally do my head in on the phone, so I didn’t bother ringing them. I get so confused it is pathetic. But folks don’t understand my problems. I’m not even sure I do.
I sat and fretted for ages, and to make it worse, I got a few short visits from Sandra. I don’t know how to explain how this happened, but I rang the dentist again! ,
I was getting heated up, methinks, cause after being free of her since getting out of bed, kicked off. All this up to here found its way, scrawled as it was, onto the notepad. Nothing else until 17:30hrs when Carer Chris returned.
I can’t recall taking this shot, which was obviously taken from the balcony. I noticed a lack of vehicles in the end car park today.

Yet the ‘out-of-it moments were never for an extended period. In fact, they were the most frequent up 18:00hrs (they and the electric shocks left me alone – cause they could return) than they’ve ever been, and by far the shortest. No logic to things.

I was more compis-mentis now.
Carried on belatedly with my beloved blogging.
Beginning to get a smidge dark already. This might, hopefully, mean we get some rain.
There is talk of the hosepipe ban being implemented by Labour’s new HMG.

Well, would you believe it?
Minutes after taking the above shots, down came the rain!
The first three photographs were taken inside the balcony.
Yer even this downpour soon stopped. By the time I’d taken the photos, it was stopping.
Still, every little helps, Looking on the bright side. As I do. (Fib?)
The shot of the car park from the balcony looked a lot brighter. Now that tells you something.
I’ve no idea what, mind you.

The last shot was taken from the kitchenette window.
It looks like it’s stopped now.
The clouds still look dark, though, so there may be more to come later. Those clouds seem to be moving quickly.

I will see if I can eat some chicken without any teeth agony. I’ll have some instant potato with it.
Back in the morning with a full report. Haha!

I prepped the nosh and started to eat it as Carer Christopher arrived. He issued the medications and put them in the nocturnal catheter pouch.
Those instant mash pots are just the right amount and so tasty after I added some sea salt & oregano. The tomatoes were going a little soft, but that was all the better for the toothache. The earache seems to be easing off for some welcome reason.

I went to get the pots washed and caught the tail end of the sunset. First, I took one close-up and a wide photograph. I think I got that about-face?

Dried the cutlery, tray and dish.
It took about five minutes, and then the final shot was taken. The colouring had changed in a few minutes. That’s nature for you. Beautiful!

I spent an hour or two watching the TV and Heartbeat episodes.
I don’t think I viewed much of them. Nodding off and waking up repeatedly. So annoying! I gave up; I didn’t even get to the bed. I fell asleep in the second-hand, £300, c1968, overwhelmingly sickening beige coloured, tatty, uncomfortable, wobbly, germ-producing, falling to pieces, food residue collecting recliner. And I just woke up every few minutes due to the variety of nocturnal ailments of; , , and . Although credit to him did sneak in a few springing awakes for me.
Worst nights, Kip, for ages!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
I revelled in appreciation for the 4 unbroken hours of a deep, satisfying, heavenly sleep last night. Then I suddenly jerked awake so violently that I all but fell off of the bed!
Became aware that , with her fellow ailment both kicking of by way of a morning greeting. This was at about 04:00hrs, and I resettled into a comfortable position to nod off back to sleep. But it wasn’t to be. The shaking awake had stirred my loins and brain, making any chance of kipping again impossible.
So, I decided to get up and have a stand-up wash and shave. ‘The best-laid plans of mice and men!’
I removed the nocturnal catheter pouch, went to the wet room to empty it, and safely packed it into the waste bag.
Then, I felt the need for the Porcelain Throne. Thanks to ‘s attention, the last two morning’s efforts failed. I spent ages waiting and hoping things would activate. I went through the usual routine: I had a go at the crossword puzzle, couldn’t get any clues solved, and moved to an earlier uncompleted crossword (I’ve many of them in the book). I counted the cracks in the ceiling and found 22 today.
I gave up in the end. But I’d spent so long in the wet room, praying, painfully pushing in efforts tp prompt things into action and failed, that it was too late to get a shower because it is liable that a Carer would call on me. I’m not sure if I read the clock correctly when I shot awake cause if it was what I thought, it meant I’d been in the wet room for over an hour and a half! Surely not? But knowing me… making mistakes, misreading, forgetting, losing, confusing time, articles, dates, etc., does come to me naturally nowadays.

This cannot be denied.

I tidied the bed and had an  . I knocked the box with the camera gear off of the bed table. I landed on my ingrowing toenail.

I went into the balcony with Kodak Two and took photos of the early morning views. I can’t explain the bonus hue on the right of photo two.
The next one seemed to have larger stars in the sky. This Kodak does not have a night-time or through-glass option for me to use. Sob!

As I started to finish off last night’s Inchy Today blog, the bowels’ innards movements had me hastening hobblingly back to the wetroom. Unfortunately, the catheter tube pulled on little Inchie as I stood up. Arrgh!
This visit was almost a repeat of the last one, a complete failure. But I didn’t spend so long trying to force the unenforceable to flow.

I washed up and returned to the computer to finalise yesterday’s blog. I finished it and posted it off good and early for once.

As I was starting to work on this blog, arrived and got the diabetic socks on for me. Medicationalised me, too.

The work on this blog was now taking me ages. The double-vision came on so much earlier today. I should have been aware of my getting up so early. Humph!

Then the kicked-in big time. So for an hour or so, I was on the verge of pressing my alert alarm. It seemed to affect me every few minutes, but not for any length of time.

Domestic Marie arrived. She hoovered up and titivated the kitchenette.

Then Carer Kimberley, who was doing the midday and financial help calls, arrived. Of course, Carer Karer is my official representative, so Kimberly could not help me contact the bank or insurance people I needed to sort. I hope Kara’s on holiday and not poorly.

I gave up on this blog. It was not working, with my concentration broken with the callers and the mini-mind blanks. I tried to get some Cartoons sorted out for the blogs.

Change of heart. I made an Iceland order for the weekend. I also ordered some medications, a big tub of food grade Bi-Carbonate Soda, and a cleaning box of the same. This will eliminate me from having to use rob-dogs Asda ever again. Medications are coming today; the rest will be on Thursday.

I searched for suitable, funny cartoons to make CorelDrawable and use. I’ve spent hours getting a few cartoons done. One in particular Tim and Dog may like on WordPress. I’m putting it on the blog on August 24th. I hope it tickles them.

The medication tracker was viewed again three hours later and is one call away. Hurray!

Now, I’m the next stop.
Can’t wait to get the teeth sprayed…

The top two split ends of the front teeth are going black now. Four on the bottom right and one on the top row are painful. But after spraying on this painkiller, the pain lessened a smidge almost straight away. I’m nervous about using too much with all the regular medications; it might affect something else.
Darer Carer and then Carer Precious arrived.
I took this shot of the front car park on Chestnut Way. I’m not sure when.
The end car park was photographed next. Both from the balcony.
Then, off I trotted to the wet room and Porcelain Throne. Half an hour later, and in more tremendous pain than earlier, I gave up again. “Will Inchy ever have an evacuation again?” Hehehe! I’ve a trick to try that might help for tonight, Chilli-con-carne?

I asked the Carer to read the instructions on the ready-made Chilli meal for me, and wrote down the timing for the microwave to use later. 3½ minutes – I minute rest and then 3 more minutes.

Much to my surprise, when I got back into the main hotel room, I noticed that it had been raining, but there were no signs of any other than on the deck. That shower didn’t last for long. We need more… It’s not often that we can say that in the UK.

I prepped the chilli meal in the microwave, and it had some chips in it. I also added some defrosted bread to soak up the extra gravy I made and added to it. Nothing wrong with the flavour at all. But the chips were too hard for the teggies, and the peppers got to exposed nerve ends a few times. Of course, I just laughed it off.
.
I washed the pots up and got down into the itch-creating, bruise-giving, catheter-tube-tugging, crumb-decorated from my nocturnal nibbling, God-awfully uncomfortable, cringingly grotty, no longer working, dirty beige, anti-sleep designed, c1966, second-hand bought for £300 ten years ago from the charity shop, recliner. To watch an episode of ‘Heartbeat’.
I managed to last for about five minutes and nodded off into the depths of Sweet Morpheus.
And I woke to immediate panic… Panic? Why? I’ll tell you. Being so deep in sleep, I was aware that the medications had been delivered, and I thought straight away that it was them arriving. I got up quickly. Dizzy Dennis attacked as I got on my feet, and Cartilage Choe gave way. In seconds, I was a crumpled heap on the carpet! By good fortune, I was close to the £300 second-hand shop purchased, c1966, welt-causing, uncomfortable, not-working, itch-inspirational, crumb-containing recliner, and used it to drag myself up on my feet as the Carer came in. No diabetic socks to take off cause I forgot to remind earlier carers to put them on for me. Precious put the night pouch on for me. No medications were needed because I’d taken so much of the toothache spray and didn’t want any reactions between the different medicines.

After he was done, I checked the taps (faucets), cooker, etc., just in case I had left any on. Taking these rather sad photos with Kodak, two of the night’s views are from the kitchen. I returned to the junk room and battled my way into the bed.  It’s not easy!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Very few verbals were written today.
Sorry about that. But not all bad news. The teeth were less bother than yesterday… well, up tp 17:00hrs at least. Then it started and stayed overnight with me. That was friendly of Wasn’t it.
What was the trouble today? Luckily, I’d got the top half, the graphics, done before the mind-blanks launched their repeated attacks. I’m not sure of anything that went on today now. I don’t think anyone called the dentist for me, but they may have. The photos triggered the odd memory.

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Dark.

Not sure why I took these.

I Have no memories of taking these, but it looked like it was in three different times?

Vaguely recall getting these delivered.
The fridge was in a mess later.
No idea what I was up to.

Ah, these I remember taking.
From the kitchen window.
The first one was high up in the sky.
I caught the edge of the window in the second one.
That was taken to the left and lower.
Beautiful!

Front car park from the kitchen.

Fantastic shot taken here. It almost looked like a weather photo with islands in the sea below.

The blanks began to come less often.
And I made a meal I could manage with the teggies.
The sausages were too hard for the teggies to cope with.

Inchy’s Thoughts Unthought

Things I’ve missed, not caught…
Used to be almost nought,
Now I’m a get-it-wrong expert!
No longer able to romance or cavort,
Rest my loins in any port…
Manual pees for three years? Nought!
Seeing hearing takes some effort,
Can’t walk far, need transport…
Of the motorised or electric sort,
I refuse to get all distraught…
I’ll have another glass of port!

& ruled the day and had or played a part in every minute of the day. At one stage, while the Carer was here, I lost track of what we were talking about altogether. The teeth and earholes seemed to be competing to see who could hurt me most! Not all the time, there were breaks and the pain only lasted for 19hrs I was up and about. Then got worse when I settled into the bed! Arrgh! & Cragnangles!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Later, Carer Richard gave the urine colour a 7+ grade. I didn’t think it was that back. But, me having Protanopia, I’m can’t really tell.

I poddled into the kitchen and saw the dying-off rainbow.
In a rush to get a camera, I found the spare one first and used it. I didn’t want to risk the rainbow dissipating before I got back to take some pictures of it using the camera’s auto mode.

Not very distinct, but I thought it was beautiful. and it gave me the idea for today’s ode theme.
I soon felt grumblings from the innards and made my way to the wet room. I made a new tag for this one. The surprise of Constipation Conrad returning again after one day of Trotsky Terence regaining charge of matters was bad enough. But I tried five times over the day up to now (16:00hrs).
And I  still haven’t passed nowt from the rear end!
I took more photos of the view as the sun was coming around the blocks of flats. Still using the spare camera… until I can find where I left the new Kodak2. It’s a new camera, but obviously not a current model. It takes four AA batteries, and is short of many options that were on the one that Tim Price donated to me. No through-glass or in-rain options on it. But the bonus is, I had a similar camera twelve years ago, and can work things out easier on the new-old one. It has a macro option, which I hope to try today.
On with updating yesterday’s blog. Which was constantly concentration-affected periods every time that either,

or  kicked off. Believe me, they all constantly did. Later on, when I went to get a wash, I coughed and both the ear and the teeth stung painfully. The inside of my mouth seemed to have swollen. A bit of one of the front teeth broke off. When I used the facecloth anywhere near the face, the nose, cheeks, and throat hurt like hell each time I touched the area. I gave up, thinking the pain would ease off later. They didn’t!
I asked each Caregiver if they could call the Dentist for me, but I got a negative response. I think I must be moaning about things so much that they don’t hear or listen to me. Hahaha!

I hobbled my way into the kitchen, and the tiniest spots of rain I’d ever seen were falling. For some reason, a pt insects landed on the windows. I took the opportunity to try a Macro on the camera. (I found it hidden in full view near the Carers nibble pots.) I could not hold the camera steady enough to take a closer shot

Carer Joanne came in to return the nightshirts she had hand-washed for me. Bless her cotton socks. ♥ Gave her some treats in appreciation.

The very fine rain was falling again. I checked for signs of a mudslide in the end car park on Citrus Way. The rain had stopped again. Then, I heard the rumble of thunder. I went back out on the balcony and saw that many other tenants were out on their balconies to take a look. I think we all expected a downpour this time. But no, it was all dry again. We could do with a good downpour or more!

The sky brightened, and no signs of rain showed us any interest.

kicked off painfully, and I used up the last of the toothache spray.
Now I have to search around to see where I put the other bottle!
I found it in a kitchen drawer, and I walloped a Dollop into my mouth and olive-oiled the right earhole to ease who was joining in the
other ailments attacks. Humph!
I fear I may be using too much of the medications. But how can I get in touch with the dentist? Oh, I’d better get their telephone number ready. Got it!
The bank keeps sending me codes to pay LV insurance with? Kara paid them last week, along with an increase in the price of 50%! Grrr!

I’ll get summat to eat – that’s soft enough for the teeth.

Carer Precious arrived. I hoovered the carpet and went to make a meal. I’ll be back later, or maybe much later.

I made the softest meal I could manage. It was not too bad pain-wise either, although long after eating the mini-feast, kicked-off again. Making me suffer yet another ever-awakening night of misery.

I took this shot as I washed  the things from the meal. Carer Precious arrived. No socks to take off; no one had put them on for me.

Did you notice the deliberate grammar mistake?

Worran ‘orrible night’s sleep!
, , and ensured a miserable nocturnal nightmare of ever-waking-up. Muttering, swearing, cursing and fighting to get back to kip. I’m feeling fedder-upperer than I’ve been for a long time.

I must ask a Carer to call the dentist to see if they can see me.
has been worse than ever today. Hope I can get in the dentist.
My concentration is non-existent. The agony is doing me no good at all. Even the tooth-pain-killer spray is not easing the teggies in the slightest. I’ve taken extra Codeines, Ibuprofen dissolvable in the bladder water drinks, and been eating Paracetamols as if they were podded peas. Not much in today’s blog, apart from moans and gripes.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

At least the nocturnal wee-wee was a better colour.

The new Kodak.

I took these shots out of the kitchenette window with the cheapo backup camera, not the Kodak.
It captures the varying colour shades of the rising sun behind the building to my left. It’s not too bad at all.

Then the need for a visit to the was called for, so I went.
One final shot of the sky was taken. There were not many clouds yet; there were no more at midday. What does that indicate, I wonder? I poddled to the wet room.
No pain in evacuating this time.
But the stink was beyond the putrid classification. Phoaw!
Cleaning things up afterwards was a task and a half.
I think I had a while in there. I do not recall finishing up the cleaning and was back on the computer when I realised this. I grabbed a hold of , (I could not find and raced, well, hobbled back to the wet room to check if I’d left the taps running. I had not, and I’d cleaned the faucets!

I worked on CorelDraw and updated yesterday’s blog. I sent it off. It took me about three and a half hours.
I went to see if the skies were worth photographing and found that  had been left in the kitchen.

arrived. was then joined by , in a two-pronged attack while Precious was still here putting my diabetic socks on. The lad showed some concern. Then, as he was putting the other sock on, a kicked off, and I nearly hit him. Then,  sent a cracking bolt up my leg that went beyond my kneecap.
I gritted my teeth with the pain and instantly forgot all about the same pain… I’d crunched one of the bad front teeth against a lower one. Boy, well, Arghhh!
Precious then issued the medications, and I gave him a cold drink from the fridge and his choice of a nibble.

Within minutes of his leaving, I had another blank that must have lasted for a while, but I had not worked on this blog during that time. I may have done some CorelDrawing, or I could just be getting things all mixed up again. Carried on giving me some stick, and foolishly, I sprayed on another dose of the toothache painkiller. It’s losing its effectiveness now. Then, a second Caregiver arrived, but I can’t recall her name. She was in and out quickly because there was nothing for her to do, apart from taking a choice of drink with her as she left. Hehe!

Now, I concentrated as best I could on starting this blog for an hour or two. Then, I topped up the Nurses & Carers’ nibble table stock.

I tried to make up some Cartoons as I only had two days’ worth ready. It was hard work with the toothache and electric shocks, and the earache was gaining power. I’m fed up!

I took this shot from the kitchen window. Cloudlessness?

I went to make a microwave-ready soft-to-eat meal. Minutes later, these on the right were five minutes apart. The sky had a few clouds up there now.

Carer Israel called next.
I got the lad to take off the diabetic socks for me. I lost the plot a bit as he was on his mobile for a long time, but know that I did tell him of the tooth and earache and had a decently powered shock from & the ankle ulcer while he was here. I told him to take some nibbles and a drinkie on his way out.
I had a ready-made shepherd’s pie. The vegan sausages I added were too firm and painful to eat. They pissed off   too much. But I managed all the rest; the soft sliced milk roll bread and lemon & lime yoghourt were delicious.

I went to wash the pots, etc. and caught the sunset again. I snapped the first effort. Then, I proceeded to reach to close the window against the radiator. Swore, then swore some more.
I took the second shot with the sun now gone to bed.

I decided to watch something on TV. I drifted off into a deep sleep for about ten minutes, and then the TV woke me up, and I swore a little more.
Then the door chime chimed (they do that, I’ve noticed, Hehe!), and in came Carer Richard. Of course, I bored him with my tales of the last few days’ toothache, earache, and electric shocks. Following up after he gave me the medications, I opened a bottle of spring water and added some effervescent Ibuprofen painkiller to it. Well, another
The fizz shot up so fast that it drenched my nightshirt, protection pants and right leg before landing on the carpet!
I took off the gown and limped to the wet room. I removed the PPs, put them in the bin, and struggled to add a fresh pair. I bent a fingernail backwards, and it split, causing the new PPs to tear. Bending down to get them off again, I gave way as I was getting yet another pair on. Naturally, of course, the PPs kept me company.
When I returned to the main room, Richard asked what had happened. He had heard my language and cursing. It was good of him to wait to see if I was okay. A drinkie was chosen, and nibbles were offered.
I was not in a good frame of mind now!
I got back on the computer to write down the farcicalness that had taken place before I forgot it.

was by far the worst ailment I had today. I have to find a dentist soon. Otherwise, I may find myself going stark-raving-mad.  come think of it, I think I’m at that stage now. What would be the next one up? Away with the fairies, barking mad, non-compos mentis, or nutty as a fruitcake, Hehe!
The meddlesome medley of like yesterday relented. However, I did have one hell of a mind-blank this evening that lasted for at least three hours. During this, Carer Joanne discovered that I’d cut up and seasoned some mushrooms earlier in the day and left the heat on under the pan when she did the taps and cooker checks for me. I genuinely thought she was joking at first. I went into the kitchen to her, and sure enough, I had. Why the hell I couldn’t remember doing it – and equally worrying, is how I did it without knowing and had no accidents, Accifauxpas or Whoopsiedangleplops doing it?
I also took some sky photographs as well.
But the mini-blanks, unless I didn’t realise, which must be possible, did not affect me much at all. On this long one, no blogging was done at all. What was I doing then? That’s a silly question. I was doing the mushrooms, but that wouldn’t have taken me three hours, surely. I found the sharp knife hours later, underneath the microwave cooker. I assume I’d used it to slice the mushroom with.
I used far too much of the pain-killer spray on the teeth today. was hardly any bother at all, up to now anyway. I’m going to ask a Carer to call the doctor on Monday. I’ll get to the surgery somehow or other. I rankling me now.
Getting yesterday’s blog done took me ages. This is surprising, really, because the toothache hadn’t been bothering me too much until today. Thanks to the pain-killer spray.

Cor, blimey. Must tell the doctor.

My first shot of the morning.

No mud, no rain.

Ablutions & Porcelain Throne time.
Urgh!

On and off of blogging.

These were found on the computer later.
Not only did I not recall doing the mushrooms that Joanne found, but I can’t remember taking these photos. But once I saw them, I remembered. Hehe!
To this one, after I’d sliced and seasoned the mushrooms.
Boy, did I season them!
Strong soya sauce, oregano, liquid smoke flavour, Polish Worcester sauce, sea salt, black pepper and some onion granules. I’m not sure, but I have a strange feeling, just might have added some mint? Just a feeling, like.

Afternoon view.

I wonder where the liquid in the car park came from?
No car washing, water shortage?

Beautiful clouds later on.

The big Blank arrived.

Two lovely sunset shots.
Smug-Mode Adopted.
But I was still bothered about the blanks.

Better put this result on while I remember.
I got eight of them in four hours. Haha!
Smug-Mode disengaged.

Waiting for Carer Precious to come.
I’ll go on WP reader and comments.

Caught the sunset for once.
I took these on the new Kodak.

Thanks to , the rating for the meal of the day was lower than it really deserved.

EPILOGUE
Carer Precious took off my socks. Checked the taps and stove, and was happier because he was on his way home.
Good for him. A nice lad.
I kept nodding off and waking up for hours.
It was a bad night, broken by , the odd strike, but most often it was who woke me up.
Terrible night!

TTFNski each.

I’m slowly developing into a worry-wart.
A whiner, crybaby, sniveller, up taut,

A second-rater, no-hoper, nought!
Inexact, fallacious, outfought…
Coping with depression, in a dort,
I have fears and dreams, unsort…
My hopes are ready to be thwarted…
My brain mangles each & every thought,
The catheter leaked today I have to report…
A wee-filled slipper is of no comfort!
Accifauxpas: I’m awaiting the onslaught,
It’s time for my sausage and sauerkraut,
‘Keep your chin up’, I was fore-taught…
I’ve got 3 chins, & still a worry-wart!

Please contact the New Nottingham Adoption Agency, should you be interested in adopting Inchy. Hehehe!

He has one or two ailments.
But is caring, if a little bonkers.
He can hoover, pet sit, & make a brew of tea.
He sometimes falls off of his walking stick.
He’ll keep you topped up with nibbles & drinkies.
He talks too much and hears less (he is almost deaf).
Most of his carers just don’t listen anymore.
He doesn’t blame them. He gets confused as he mumbles.
And tends to rabbit on a bit.
He easily forgets what it was he was saying.
Try not to over-ignore him; he sulks a lot

If anyone is still interested, please call us. Hahaha!

THURSDAY 18th AUGUST 2024

Dark.

Kitchen taken shots to catch the sun coming over the left read of the block of flats…
City Hospital, close up.
Then taken further out.

Chunky with liquid accompaniment. Haha!

I found time for a go on the crossword.
Got a few answered.

Balcony shot.

Carer Kara arrived. She noticed something that I didn’t…
WHOOPSIEDANGLEPLOP!
I was peeing down my left into the slipper that was slowly filling up with escaped from the catcher pouch wee-wee!
I was so embarrassed!
The closure tab was not shut all the way. Either that, or I’d caught it against something. I had a seizure at that moment.
Can’t recall the gal leaving.

Working on the blog.

ARRIVED yesterday.
Got it sorted and stored away.

Afternoon shot of the bottom field.

Getting a good few sudden dizzies today.

Carer Chris arrived. He took some shots on the spare camera.
Through the glass on the balcony.
Car park.
Then I took one of him of Christopher with one of his almost dangerous-looking expressions on. Hehe!

Getting late, I’ll get off the computer and get summat to eat.
See ya in the morning!

Good Morning.
Two shots of the sky.
Five minutes apart.

Taking the meal out of the oven…
And in came Carer Chris. Chris carried the food into the  c1966, £300 charity shop bought, second-hand, wincingly grotty, beige coloured, not working, crumb-covered from the nocturnal nibblings, itch-making, uncomfortable, virus-breeding, easy-to-fall-out-of, recliner for me. Treated him to some nibbles and a drink, and after attaching the nocturnal catheter pouch, and he trotted of home.
Ate the meal with a 7/10 Rating.

I went to wash the pots before getting my much-needed ablutions attended to. , Chris forgot to check the taps and stove. The hot water had run cold, which put the mockers on my plans to do the ablutions, and I’d left the oven turned on! I was glad I’d not left the plug in the sink!
 TV put on…
Zzz!

Talk about a busy, messy, confusing, frustrating day.
Yes, it was a normal one for me. Different? Oh, yes! But coping with such a lot to do and sort at the same time and extra situations arriving, which is more than the eBay order did, I have to admit it got to me. and I even found time to have a few short that didn’t help me to cope. I had several Unexpected visitors, welcome as they were, who took up hours and hours of the day. It is now 22:20hrs… and I’ve just started this blog. It doesn’t help with having to recreate the icons and graphics I stupidly lost yesterday. I’ll try not to waffle too much, but the unexpected events, occurrences, and problems while being visited by to have the yearly fact & figure updating interview. One while Carer Kara and then Carer Christopher were here. Very embarrassing. I tried to write things down to remember, but much of today’s history is now in the ether, most of which I didn’t make notes of to prompt me later.
I was stuttering, mumbling and struggling to find words to answer the questions that came from the three occasions. I’ll do my best to fill in the blanks… no I won’t; I’d probably get that wrong. I’m becoming something of an authority and maestro at making an exhibition of myself, but usually, I’m not aware of it, but I was today, pure self-embarrassment.

But Warden Deana, dealing with so many other tenants affected in a similar way, took it all in her stride. Bless her. Thanks, Deana, my preciousness. 💘
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
I woke up rather earlier, 04:14hrs.  (I don’t think I’ll even get to bed tonight! (00:24hrs now). I’d passed much urine overnight.
Wee-wee too dark again, though.
I took this sadly poor shot of the view from the kitchen windows.
I took a lot of photos today, I just couldn’t stop?
I shelled the last of the pod peas. Initially, I wanted to have a meal, but with all the hassle and need to get this blog done, I didn’t have a meal. But of course,  was on and off all day, even worse now, and missing a meal will do me little harm with the lard I’m carrying around my waist.
After washing, I took these three shots of the morning view from the kitchenette window again. I think I must have got a wobble on with the second shot.
I may have had a mini-seizure here. My next recollection is that I was at the computer, and I’d put it on, but nothing was done on it. I automatically, when coming out of the mind-blank, went and checked the taps in the wet room and cooker in the kitchen. The wet room was okay, but the hot water tap in the kitchen sink had been left on. I turned it off, but the water was stone cold. No shower today, then. I found I  had made a brew of tea. It was near the kettle; no milk in it, and that was cold too
. I didn’t get too annoyed with myself, lets face it, I get these blanks every day of varying degrees.
I opened CorelDraw and got some graphics created for the blog.
Downloaded some graphics onto Wednesday’s update and pressed on with getting it finalised.
Suddenly I had to abandon the blogging to go to the wet room and Porcelain Throne.
Trotsky Terence was back. But the evacuation was still painful. Bits of blood scattered in, Still Kharki coloured and excessively smelly. I even noted a whole garden pea in the mixture! The Ocado delivery arrived. I’d forgotten all about it coming.
I got the carriers to the kitchen and started sorting out their contents. Some of the bags were torn, so it took me some time.
There is plenty of food now. The red spring onions arrived; I do like them. I put them in the fridge and somehow made room for the bread in the full freezer.
Again my stomach and innards sent me to the Porcelain Throne. This time the battle between and was closer. Not only that, the blood was a deeper red. Which indicated that the poor had been torn open. The freshly put-on PPs an hour or so ago were well red, as were my bottom and legs! Washing up yet again, having to boil water in the kitchen and carry it to the wet room, a high-risk task, but all okay.
I went onto the balcony for a break from making mistakes on the Wednesday blog. It appeared that it had been raining during the night. The mudslide near the end car park had returned. The petricor was smellable as soon as I opened the window. Not many people about this morning. Back into the flat, Carer Chris arrived. Chris pointed out that I was stuttering a lot this morning. I’d not noticed until then. After he’d gone, I made an order for next week, for Tuesday, I think, from Asda. I got a phone call from the District Nurse to say they would not be calling, but they will next week.
Carer Kara arrived to do the finances. This is when the second Howling-Haze and Memory-Blank attack came. I’m sure I had to remember something she told me, but from here on, I had no notes to access. I know she went to the computer. I may or may not have mentioned my search for a child monitor, or maybe I mentioned it to her on Wednesday. We may have looked on the Amazon site, but we could not find a straight plug-in one. I’m not certain. Yet I do recall Deana arriving later on, and we did look on Amazon but could not find one suitable. She kindly said she’s check and email me back if she found any. Which she did. She emailed exactly what to put on the Amazon search box. She said the same thing is cheaper from Argos, suggesting I get one from there. So I ordered one. Of course, with the delivery charge, it proved costlier than the Amazon one. I can’t win! Nothing new there, then.
Deana carried out the personal detail listing. I was not fully with it and struggled to find words; that is not me usually. I could not find Sister Jane’s new telephone number or address. I had to call her and ask. I got a telling-off from her, of course, for not knowing where it was. Hehehe!
Then came a threat of a £1000 fine via a letter from the Government about me not paying the full price for a TV licence. The letter added that they had permission and that someone would be calling to check that if I had a television, a prosecution would follow. Deana wrote down her telephone number, and when they come, I’m to tell them to ring her. Apparently, several tenants have had one of these red letters.
Then, the big seizure came. Yet I had done a lot of work on CorelDraw, without too many errors as well,
The doctor’s receptionist called with the new Warfarin Doses.
The District nurse called… I’ve mentioned this already. Tsk!

The above sunset photos were taken, and then an hour or so later, the ones on the left.

Carer Chris arrived. He was in a good mood, bless him, and I took this shot of him while he was in a manly but jolly mood.
Hehe, there was no catheter bag to put on. I had not eaten, and cooking while carrying the bag and tube is dangerous. There were no diabetic socks to take off, which I had not put on. He liked his treats and merrily went off home. Thanks, Chris. Have a good kip. I left the TV on, thinking I’d have time to watch it while eating the meal. It didn’t work out, lol. It’s 01:20 hrs
now. No TV watching. Nothing to eat.
I’ve just put some spuds in the oven.
I’ll try to wake up in the morningOh, it is morning! And then I’ll get back on here. No, I won’t! I’ll carry on with this!

I’ve missed some photos off, better late than never. Humph!
Just before it went over the horison, I, at long last, got a decent shot of the retiring Sun.
I was pleased with this one.
.

An horison shot after the sun had gone to sleep. The lower shot is of the end car park, it was a bit dark. The drizzle had started again, but by the time I’d taken the photographs and closed the window – without trapping my finger (I knew something had to go right!).

Tired, deflated, and in a mind-haze, I got the much-belated meal  prepared and served on a  tray. I gave it a rating of 6.9/10 For flavour & taste, it would have been far higher had not made eating it so painful.
No sooner had I finished eating it than I delved into the warmth of Sweet Morpheus for at least ten minutes. Then, my right ankle took over the Keep-Inchy-Awake Duties. She did an excellent job of it, too. Humph!

Today’s main contestants in life’s pain and bother battle have been Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters, or rather, the difficulty of his battle with Neuropathy, Pete, in trying to get the cerebrum to identify the messages he was sending to the brain!
I was all over the place. Dropping things, walking into things, stuttering verbally and physically while resisting the Cartilage Girls Chloe & Carole’s desire for me to take a tumble and end up on the floor throughout the day!
I was also waiting for the arrival of three deliveries: one from the Cheap Food Shop and two from Amazon. Even if I found the time (three hours needed) to get a sh_ _, shave and shower, I dare not. I cannot hear the fire alarm, door chime, intercom, mobile, or telephone when I’m in the wet room. Absolutely no chance when I’m under the shower, and I do need a good scrub-up badly; having the Diabetic sock on the left leg and the diabetic compression bandaging on the right one for four weeks now meant I couldn’t take a shower.
I needed the toothache tincture spray, upholstery cleaning spray, and brush (delivered today) that I’d bought. They came very late in the day, so my eyes worsened, and tiredness came on rapidly.
I just ran out of time again.
Up around 05:00hrs.
I found that the nocturnal bag had more in it, but Shaq later confirmed that it was grade 6 on the NHS chart. That’s not good.
The rubbish from yesterday’s delivery of the damaged saucepans was put near the flat’s entry/exit door.
This inspired me to take a look at the three new saucepans and try to photograph the damage.
The new small saucepan arrived just before Carer Shaq arrived. The saucepan at the back left was put underneath the stove.

Here, on the right, is the damage to those delivered yesterday. A broken handle and a dented rim on the other one at the corner.
The new small pan that came today seemed to be okay.
Shaquille classed the urine as a 6 this morning. I went off to the Porcelain Throne.
I went through the crosswording and counted the cracks on the wetroom ceiling routine. Constipation Conrad was adamant that nothing was to escape. None did!
I made up another bag of waste, and then, at long last, I got onto the blogging duties.
The new saucepan was nice and heavy, as are the others. Less chance of my knocking off the cooker!
I went to make a brew of the wonderfully strong Thompson’s Punjana tea. I took a kitchenette view shot and then went back to the computer. This is when the shaking and shuddering started. I dropped the mug of tea and came close to dropping the computer mouse.
The washing returned yesterday that I’d forgotten all about. It’s not surprising; I was in the land of nod when it came.

I cleaned up and made another brew of tea, Glengettie.
Back to the wet room. Conrad was in full charge again, but this time, my efforts to force things along worked, and four torpedo-shaped, rock-hard chunks created a slash up my bum as they hit the water. It didn’t half stink with it. It also retained the Kharki colour of the last few days. I used the extra-strong bog cleaner, added some Lemon Sherbert disinfectant and left it to marinate for a while longer.

The fabric foam sprays were delivered at about 15:00hrs. I’ll have to ask a Carer if they can read the instructions for me and write them down later.

I made an Asda order for next week and will put it on the Google diary to avoid the double order from Iceland coming this week. I am a fool!
The blog’s progress was so slow. Error, mistake, mix-up, grammar, hitting wrong keys… Not good at all!
Aha! The tooth pain spray arrived. I think I may have whooped for joy? Not sure! But when I opened the crushed and torn little box, I found the instructions were too small to read. Even with the magnifying glass!
Glaucoma Gladys, Cataract Katie and the eyelids drooping with tiredness forced me to stop blogging.
I’ll ask whoever comes on the evening call if they can read the instructions. It’s been a busy day. At least, it felt like it had.

The cheap food shop order arrived next. I’d got some lemon wafers (also for me), Clara’s Truffles for nurses and carers’ and other treats. As soon as I remember what, I’ll let you know.

I shall return with an update in the morning. (He says)
I went to see what food was available, I hope I can read the use-by dates. I took this rather decent, apart from the blotched snap of the view.

Carer Chris turned up. As he sorted the night catheter pouch out to put on, he listened to my tale of cleaning the upholstery and suggested I buy a new recliner. He got on my computer to have a look at the prices. The prices put an end to any intention of buying a new one. Until Chris spotted what I would have been interested in, a brown one, which was so cheap that it must have been a mistake, I thought. The others he looked at ranged from £999 to £4,120! This brown one was only £300! Too good to be true? But Chris confirmed the price. Delivery in 3-5 days at £99. I thought I’d ask Kara to take a look. This had tweaked my interest. Chris took the diabetic socks off, slipped me a painkiller and then read the instructions on the toothache tincture bottle. I asked him to do this to confirm whether I should spray it inside or out and what to do immediately after application. He patiently read through them and told me that I had to spray them on the affected area inside but that I must not swallow for any reason for ten minutes after spraying it on. Bless him.
I had a last look at the advertisement for the recliner…
Whoopsiedangleplop! I realised it is self-assembly. Me? Able to assemble a recliner? No!

Out of the blue, a new pain came! On the top of my left foot, ankle-end. This was painful, a sort of fluctuating throbbing stinging kind. This bodes not well! I’ve already got Arthur Itis, a currently dormant ankle ulcer and Cartilage Chloe collapsing painfully on my left leg. I’ll be struggling to hobble around in the morning. (I always look on the bright side, Hehehe!)
Toothache Tiffany launched a pain attack as I was mountaineering up onto the second-hand hospital bed. I thought about spraying some more of the painkiller onto the gums. But I don’t think Chris said anything about the frequencies to be used; how often, timewise?

As I was about to settle, I remembered I’d not had anything to eat yet. So I descended from bed and doubled up two ready meals in the microwave. I hoped it was soft enough for my teggies to cope with.
I ate about a third of it.

I wasn’t up to getting back into the bed, so I collapsed thuddingly onto the aged, grotty-looking c1966 made, charity-shop-bought, horribly beige-coloured, £300, Harold’s Haemorrhoid-testing, non-operational, acne-giving, virus-breeding, rickety, easy-to-fall-out-of recliner.

Zzz!

The master phrase to describe things today is not easy to select. I’m so far behind with everything and meandering. I’m losing track, forgetting, and struggling to see and hear things.
‘CONFUSION’
It is already Thursday, and the confusion is still with me.
Along with giving way a few times. In fact, when Carer Christopher was visiting Thursday morning, he saved me from a tumble with his quick reactions. Thanks, Chris!
The day was full of bafflement, confusion, and an inability to comprehend what was happening. I got weary and tired, and my eyes worsened far earlier than usual today.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Still not good.

Early morning view.

Rubbish readied. This reminded me of the damaged saucepans delivered by Amazon. One had a broken handle end and two dents in another. I can’t be bothered complaining; I’ve enough worries to cope with without this.

Off to the Porcelain Throne.
Messy!

The lower legs had thinned, but around the knees, the Cartilages and behind the knees were bloated.

Front rubbish room balcony shot.

Made a mug of tasty Thompson’s Punjana tea.
I started the notes and am ready for blog creation.

Within an hour, the eyes began to go double-vision. This was very annoying, as up until then I thought I’d been doing so well. Serves me right; I should have known. Progress after this was painstakingly slow. Mistake-ridden, too!

I think the sky began to darken early.

I had just a ready-made Beef in black bean sauce for the evening’s meal. I had this because it had a use-by date of today. But it was alright.
Some leftover sliced bread and a wholemeal roll helped me soak up the black bean sauce. Slurp! I had to disk the white bread when I found some green mould. I washed the pots, carefully not leaving the tap (faucet) running.

I had to give up early on the computer, and my eyes were not up to it. So, I cleared some rubbish into a waste bag and left it near the door for collection.

This I assume, was a snap of the clouds.
But it could be anything.

Got down in the c1966, £300 Oxfam charity shop bought, second-hand, wincingly grotty, beige coloured, crumb-covered from my nocturnal nibblings, itch-making, uncomfortable, positively unhealthy & dangerous, no longer operational, virus-breeding, easy-to-fall-out-of, Catheter-tube-trapping, recliner. And off into the bliss of sleep…

Carer Israel came in. He gave me the medications. I gave him some treats, and off he went. It seemed to me that ten minutes later, he was back, waking me up. Haha!
He removed the diabetic socks and gave me some Peptac and a painkiller (Codeine).
Could I get to sleep again this time? No!
It was one of those nights that was in a determined, mind-blowing mission to remind myself of all the things I loved but cannot get, enjoy or even do nowadays.
He rampaged through my brain non-stop for hours.
I got so angry with myself because it was obvious to me that the messages, put-downs, and fears brought to my attention were from myself, or maybe or . Is this the same thing?

It was a horrendous night!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
There was a twinkle in my neighbour’s eye,
As she’d taken it out I asked her why,
She smiled. I noticed she was tooth-free,
Her reply: “I can’t find my hearing aid battery!”
I said, Oh, I’ve lost my spectacles, see!
We both had a catheter, we couldn’t manually pee,
I led her to her flat, smilingly…
Told me she’d lost her key…
We opened the key-safe, eventually,
I went back to flat 73…
Could I find it? Not Me!
Carer led me to it, and I had a mug of tea!.
Hehehe!

Cheers!
