It’s genuinely difficult to write this little overview,
And wanted to write it in rhyme, too!
I’m not going to start moaning… I’ll try not to…
Naturally, I can’t promise you,
My brain used to act as an autocue…
Now, Wednesday, I’ve another brain scan due,
Dementia Doreen has me as a detenue & détenu,
It’s difficultest to maintain logic & virtue,
There is no point now in taking any long view…
It’s a battle to wash, dress, and take a poor!
Whatever can I do?
I try to stay witty and not feel blue…
Price rises in rent, electricity, & food accrue,
Bad enough, but now the mind does miscue,
The eyes give me misty, mottled view…
The catheter pain, pouch replacement is overdue…
Without help, I can’t get on a sock or shoe!
Taking too many tumbles. walk into doors too!
Deafness worsening will continue…
But I’ll not give in, I promise you!
When I see St Peter and his gate crew…
There’s going to be a right hullabaloo!

————————————
Sorry not have much on today; time beat me again…

This is the punch, one hour after emptying it. Not a lot?

Gloomy morning.

.
Potatoes were put in the slow cooker and forgotten about again.
I can use them on Monday?

Email from Manor Laboratories in the USA. The Time-Machine Professor Billum and HRH Lisa-Petal, are going to ring me again: Bless them! ♥
Being a logical Scientist, Billum asked which time would be bestest to make the call. I checked on next week’s calendar and sent a copy to the Manor. It was early Morning when I found this, hope  I got it right.

Yikes! This ain’t good.

Not so good view photos tonight.
Still, I’ve done worserer ones. Tsk!

The ‘In’s & Out’s of it’ continued today.
I think I had many more than yesterday.
Which resulted in dozens of mini-mind-blanks.
As for  recalling what I was doing… well?

Gotten Himmel!
I think it looked worse than what it was. The light shining on the masculine, jealous-making to others, postmarked scarred, blotchy right leg makes the blood in the bag seem darker than it really is. No? .
The pouch seemed ready to explode as well.

The vegetarian casserole went down well. I’d seasoned t with some Henderson’s sauce, sea salt, 7-Mediterranean vegetables sauce, and tomato passata with basil, and a vegetable Oxo cube. Oh, yes, and a sprinkling of some imitation soya-bacon crumbles.
I gave this a Taste Rating of 7.4/10. Not bad at all.

Sweet Morpheus was not keen on helping me again, and I ended up putting the TV on, that usually guarantees me nodding off. Well, it did this time… But unfortunately, it took a couple of hours longer than usual

Evening, all!
Well, Morning all then. Hehe!

DOREEN DEMENTIA; WAS SO HEGEMONIC...
She had my mind all over the place; it was most horrific,
Repeating my actions, & dropping things, I had another hat trick!
Peripheral Neuropathy Pete is to blame, too; he’s malefic!
On & off all day, Doreen & Pete were nudnik!
No idea what I was doing at times… I feel sick…
Most ailments are incurable or idiopathic,
But I still do my odeing, though most of it is iambic.
f it as rubbish and pathetic,
This Inchie Today will be mostly photographic…
Memory Blanks, lack of willpower & somnific…
And as of now, I’m mentally borasic!

Bit of blood in the night bag again.

Got some spuds in the crock pot and forgot all about them.

.Shot of the dreary morning later on.

One of many brews of tea that I made.
I split a few and forgot all about the others.
Some left with the tea bag brewing and went cold.
Some near the computer went cold.

Asda delivery.
The kind driver to them into the kitchen for me.
And put them anywhere he could find room.
I appreciated his help.
The Vegan shortbread biscuits were soon demolished! Hehe!.

Items I’d missed.

Waste bags sorted out.
INR DVT Warfarin nurse arrived.
Blood taken. Little natter enjoyed.
By me, anyway…
The next few hours were lost in the ether.
A carer came… she signed the book, so I am right.
Computerisationing, with accompanying problems with
the mouse, my bad eyesight, mistakes galore, and I was
not a happy laddie, methinks. Frustrated!
Noise from the list engineers, but can’t be helped.

was working okay, but a bit of discomfort when the
flow kept stopping occasionally But the colouration
was fine later on.

Afternoon shot, then I lost another couple of hours.
During which, Carer Carole-Anne (I think) arrived
to return the laundry for me.

A couple of hours or so later, I took these shots
the evening view. No sunsetting to shoot – Humph!
As the darkness fell, I took more snaps.
Pleased with the two above and below.
Shot above here…
Ans below of the Citrus Way car park.

Carer Richard arrived later. But I think one came earlier
but the memory blanks obscured things again.

Found this photo of last night’s meal.
I don’t think I put in on yesterdays?

All confused, I may have got Tuesdays and Wednesdays mixed up together?

HOW LONG CAN THESE HORRID DAYS GO ON?

I woke at about 06:00hrs. The pains in the sole of the right foot were agonising. I tried to stand up, but the pain was so tender I had to sit down again. After a minute or two of ponderisationing, I decided to press the Wristlet Alarm. For I could not even get back up on my feet, let alone get to the Porcelain Throne (I don’t think I need to tell you what happened, very embarrassing indeed!) or unlock the front door.
I was having great difficulty hearing what the nice lady in Nottingham City Homes Control on the monitor was saying. This was hurting more than Mystery Rib Pains Petunia, Shaking-Shoulder-Shirley, or even Catheter Kathleen’s tune had been! It was only about, last a guess, 20 minutes before the Paramedics arrived, and the pains were already reduced to a level-5 rating as they arrived. But walking, or rather hobbling, took me a little longer to tackle. There were three of them, one I think might have been a trainee.

They did the usual ECG Temp etc. But could not even guess what was causing the pain in the foot. The lady had a close look underfoot, declaring that she could see nothing that might be causing the pains? However, they put a pad around the foot that should ease the pressure of standing up.
I just had to go to the Porcelain Throne, which I painfully did.
The pad fell off on my way back to the room.

They asked many questions, many of which I could not answer. The Carer not turning up for the medicationalisationings concerned them. I said they had probably had someone not turn in for work. And they were only about an hour late. Pressure on those at work today, methinks. They came an hour or so later; not their fault, no blame attached.

I told him about the Brain Scan due today and the lack of transport to get there. He assured me that the NHS transport would collect me. The man in charge, wrote a note for the carer to ring the number he’d circled on the QMC letter to ask for a lift for me. During their attendance, one asked me if I usually speak the wrong words. I said others had mentioned it, but I was not aware, pointing out that Dementia Doreen is to blame.

I remember ringing Meridian, but I could not hear properly. I went into a Mind-Blank-Mode for a while. A Carer arrived, Adele, I think. She medicated me. Then, I tried to get the blog for yesterday done…

I seemed in and out all day, mentally. Finally, at about 23:00hrs, the pain in the right foot became bearable… what the heck is it?
Carer Jozef and Carole Anne called. No idea if any others did. The pan had left me terribly confused… which, of course, I always am. But this was more acute in handicapping me.
The day flew by all the same. I’ll get the photos from the camera now and see if any memories ate prompted. I think they will be in order… Huh!

The day is now a blur to me. (Saturday A.M.)
The level of pain from the Mystery-Underfoot-Pain varied throughout the day, I think. From bad to chronic, Tsk! Yet some bits I recall in detail, others not at all, or vaguely. Then again, maybe I just think I remember? But do I? I sense I was laughing and joking with some Carers? But was I?
I’ve had a painful lump or bruise on my neck this morning. Mayhap, I had a tumble or walked into something. But did I?
I’ll get the photographs from the SD card and see if they help. I can recall the sunset being stronger… I think. I’ll get them loaded and onto CorelDraw to sort out and post here.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Woke in agony with the right foot underfoot pains.
Pressed the wristlet alarm when I realised it was too painful to stand up, let alone hobble around. Controller called the paramedics. Three arrived. (See above, please) Man left a note for Carers in their log book. Asking them to ring the QMC to try to book a lift to the Brain Scan job.
The District Nurse, or the Warfarin DVT nurse, or both (I think) arrived. O~ne rang the QMC for me, but I could not get through. She rang their main switchboard, and they tried but could not get through, (Leave a message each time). The lady will ring back as soon as she knows.
She did ring back. No lift was available, so she cancelled the appointment and rearranged it for March.
I got through to Easy-Link, and the kind lady accepted the booking for Wednesday, 15th March, at 13:15hrs for the brain scan. Bless her!
I was not in a good state, panic-wise and mentally, by then.
I thought it would be a good idea to let the Carers know that I am not going out this morning. So they do not get confused like what I am. Haha!
As I dialled Meridian, I suffered a Stuttering Stephanie Attack, and Dizzy Dennis joined in. I must have been waffling on intelligibly cause I was told I was talking rubbish. Which I naturally assumed I was, no doubt about that. I apologised and rang off.

But my hatred outweighs any fear

Heartbreaking, I bet Rishi is worried about her?

Hopeless crooked, creep!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Yet another depressing demanding, busy, can’t-get-anything-done day.
Several acci-whoop of note:
After approximately. six weeks of suffering, bleeding, blood in the urine, and general agony with , I got a letter from City-Care with help and advice on using and coping with the painfully stuck-in Little Inchy tube of .
After several… no, many with bleeding from the filling pouch pulling at the tubing, I went a step further today, and the connector from Little Inchie to the pouch came off altogether!
Having unknowingly and. unintentionally weeing all over myself, the letter with the tips arrived. They were in print to faded and small to read, mind you, anyway. But just one of the graphs, I could decipher. Drink no tea or coffee other than decaffeinated, Green or Herbal tea. I couldn’t read 80% of it; far too small a print… have I said that already?

Also, a Urine Score Card.
Tonight it was level 7, I fear!

First photo of the day.

Blood in the night catheter.

Cleared up during the day, and the flow was much freer and more frequent. It did stink a bit, mind you. Dettol and air spray to the rescue.

Looked like there was a fire in the Basford area.
I didn’t see any blue lights, though.
Ten minutes later, and the clouds were preparing for the sunset?

Phase two…
Phase three…
Phase four…
Then the mail arrived…

Confused, and wanting not to miss the sunset photos, I left them in a pile for perusing later back in the kitchen…

Wow!
Awe-inspiring!
Great colour variation!
An almost marbled sky…
Amazing, this looked like something solid and cream?

Tendrils…

Looks like a cave opening?

Tendrils back?
Could be used in an alien film this one?
Shot down at the car park
Back up to the beautiful sky…
To the left a bit…
Gorgeous!
Nightie-night!

Copy of last week’s BP results, etc., that cost me so much time in preparing to send to the Doctors as requested. You would not belive the mistakes I had to correct… probably still some in it. Humph!

A quickie one here. Ran out of time, patients, and concentration and had so many calls and visits, but not the ones I wanted.

CATHY CATHETER…
Behaved kindly enough to me today.

Early morning photographicalisations…

Late Moon.

Carer Kara called. Meds given. Tea. Email from Iceland
Got onto starting this blog.
Calls (three) from the Doctor’s surgery about BP taking.
Lack of INR Blood Tests for three weeks? I mentioned
my problems getting to the surgery.

Cathy Catheter started causing problems, and I lost an hour trying to get the tube into a less painful position.

Porcelain Throne activities are very messy. More time is lost cleaning up after every visit.

Burnt the stew and lost another hour-plus cleaning and salvaging the saucepan and stovetop. Hot tap left running again!

I’ve really no idea what took place for the next five hours – Not the foggiest. A mind-blank of mega proportions until the evening’s wonderful sunset, and I sort of ‘found myself’ leaning out of the kitchen window, taking this shot of the view on offer.

Ni idea which carers called… I think Carer Joseph and Adele later. But am not sure, as a second blank spell hit me.

I woke Saturday morning at a loss memory-wise of Friday.

Found these late-evening photos.

The Iceland delivery arrived.

Some of the scribbles on the memory notepad were discernable. Although confusing all the same:
Burnt stew… Made meal with night catheter and stick – not easy, had a few acci’s (Accifauxpas?). Stubbed toe – Concentration crap.
Made meal at 02:45hrs. (but I still took this photo of it)

Back on the Computer. CorelDrawing

Too tired to continue. As I closed things down,
I found a mega…

acci-whoop

That I’d done earlier, not that I could remember doing it.
For the fourth week running, I’d ordered another load from
the same place. But really outdid myself this time…

Burke!
Idiot, Tit-Head, Dolt, Pillock...!
Although Dementia Doreen may
have played a part in this error?

The last entries on the notepad were a few naughty words
of self-hatred and disgust (Well, a line and a half, actually).
And sorry, self-pitying phrase of despair.
I’ll not repeat it; it depressed me.

Made worse by the promised help with the medical confusion, and to make sure that this double-ordering did not happen again, did not happen.
No one called to go through the hospital misunderstandings, instruction etc, either. Not that I was genuinely expecting anyone to come.
Had someone arrived, this cock-up with the food would not have happened. Or would it?

Now (Saturday morning), I am not in good spirits.

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

I got carried away today… No, not the undertakers or men in white coats to blame. Har-har! It was a moment of freedom granted to my mind by VDD; Vascular Dementia Doreen. A cunning trick on her behalf to give me more grief, and it fooled and lured me into spending half an hour or so of heavenly pareidoliaing as the sunset faded for the day. And I took many photos of its progress, Bootiful! (Further down never the bottom of the blog.

But and however, she made me pay dearly for my moments of contentment. While viewing, photographing and admiring the beauty of Mother Nature through the kitchen window…
I’d left the hot tap running. And dangerously accifauxpa-temptingly held in the evacuation that was brewing; So as not to miss the last photos as the darkness fell – But I had to rush off to the Porcelain Throne as things in the rear-end were starting of their own accord!
Naturally, I failed to make it in time. Another mess to clean up! Which I did as quickly as I could to get back to the photographicalisationing.
Which is when I noticed the hot tap (faucet) running. The water was cold by then. But the real pisser of them all? I missed the dawning of the darkness to picture. I do believe I swore vociferously!
Ah, well, on with the diary…

Up at about 06:40hrs. I think the shock of a certain organ being extended, thus giving me great discomfort with the catheter, helped get me up and into wakefulness of sorts.
I got the night pouch disconnected.

Went to wash the tube end, and the moon was still in view, so I snapped it wide and closer.

Not very well, mind.

Unbelievably, the day bag had reloaded with clear wee-wee.

I soon got it emptied.

Carer Richard arrived. Medications were given, and he reminded me of Thursday’s visit to the Mental Health Coppice Hospital. Now I must remember to ring Easy-Lift to make sure I have booked a lift. Before it is too late to do so. (Of course, I forgot to do it). Richard checked the taps and stove for me.

Ah, a bit of blood in the urine now. But it cleared up later.
I caught the tube earlier, and it may have ripped the fungal lesion a bit. It hurt like hell. (I did this three more times in the afternoon and evening)

I received an email from Lisa at the Rehabilitation and Falls Service (South Locality). She is a caring lady. Asking many questions, which I probably went into too much detail in answering, now I think of it. But I answered them all. Bless her.
Carer Sam arrived. Meds and safety checks were done.
I was working on making mistakes, errors, misspellings and forgetting things on the blog.

Carer Kara called. Always helpful, that gal.

Teatime, I went to make a brew, and the sunset photo farce began.
Here are the photos in the order they were taken; some zoomed in and some not. There are a good few; sorry if they bore you.

But I love them, even if they did cause the Porcelain Throne and tap to be left on scenarios. Hehehe!

I took a couple, one of the car park, the other of the houses, to break up the monotony for you.
