The days get harder & longer,
I’m turning into a whinger,
Difficult to wash, not that I’m too eager,
I may be developing ablutophobia?
My broken rotting teeth are acicular,
But the nurses have been avuncular,
Learnt I’ve now got Ideational Apraxia,
(I’ll look it up later…)
Leaking legs, my brain goes into auto-closure,
It’s a battle to keep my composure.
Dark depression lingers… Howsoever…
Later on, I made some Leicester Cheesy potato!

Woke late, nearly 07:00hrs: Mind you I didn’t get my head down until about 04:00hrs, I stayed up all night to get caught up with the blogging. Got the pouch emptied and changed, and needed (I thought) to go to the wet room to visit the Throne. I was wrong!
Only one long blast of wind!

arrived as I was cleaning the blood from and poor battered about … I spoke with her through the open door. She kindly asked if I needed any help.
She got the medications sorted, and we had a natter. I do love a laugh and a chinwag! But, I forgot to ask her to put the leg strap back on for me. I’ll ask when she returns. Jenny also took the washing down for me.

This means that the strap and stocking could be cleaned: bless her. As she was about to leave, the Asda order arrived. A big one, but no hassle about storing stuff away; the majority of the order was Christmas pressies, nibbles and drinks, for the medicos and Carers. She got them in the kitchen for me, not a lot; most of it went in the spare room.

I also got some more tonic and soda water to appease the demands of my non-working bladder.

No wash, no shave, the day was belting passed fast again. And I sank into a ‘Soddit-Mode’, and pressed on with the blogging. With the usual memory losses, mistakes, cock-ups and lack of sufficient concentration.

Unbeknownst to me, the District Nurse came in and made me jump. Hehehe!  This is how the legs looked after a night with no straps on.
Today, I had to have another strap put on the right leg.
which looked like this.
She put some pads on the wounds, before putting on the diabetic decompression sock, and then…
After both straps and socked legs were done…
and now having chicken legs, the new slippers could be got into! I thanked her, and she said that she would be back, ‘Just Like Arnie’, on Friday to check.

A Photo of the Asda bits here, I forgot.

I selected three potatoes, to use later to use making some cheesy baked spuds.

Many more hours were spent without any interruptions. Not that I needed them today. The mind would float away, then the left-leg-up periods. No nodding off at all. Back to the computer, and misspellings, typographical errors, grammatical mistakes, heterography clangers and various howlers flowed. My concentration was minimal. Annoyingly, I had no idea why?
Do you think it might be something with all the nurses calling on me and getting me excited? Haha!

I started an early nosh.
I’d got the spuds from the oven, making a right mess dropping bits of potato all over the floor and treading on them, while scraping the flash out of the husks, into the basin with the cheese in it. Bashed them about and mixed it all up. I added sea salt and no-butter butter as I did my best to blend the mixture together.
Back in the oven to crisp up for an hour, and had another feast to eat! After that, I settled down with my legs and feet up on the Carers chair. Carer Leuman returned and took off the leg attachments for me. Dealt out the medications and off to his home. I thanked him for his help & wished him well.
After he’d gone, I realised that the pads had been leaking. No bother; they soon stopped.

Then, back on with the blogging. Where I am now, at 03:15hrs! Better try to get some sleep in.

Zzz!

I’m not really scowling in this photo, honestly; I’m not. It’s just that I’d just had an accident in the kitchen, and … well, , and at the same time, I knocked the milk off of the counter and hit my elbow trying to catch it from falling on the floor. I missed, and a splattering of milk was spilt. Bent down to wipe it up before it got sticky, and that set off. Not that it bothered me, of course.
The slip on spilt milk I’d missed got to me a bit.
However, the day was an improvement from yesterday!

It’s not very often that I can say that and be truthful
Even if things did get a smidge confusing later on.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

04:20hrs: I woke with both  and both stinging away at me… but not for long, oh, no. As I lowered the left leg carefully, It was undoubtedly failing that caused the heavily bandaged leg to clunk onto the floor. , followed by a few quietly emitted oaths and curses, as I hit my against the leg stanchion on the chair. I pondered… “Surely this can’t be happening”. But it was!
I got the Germolene from the ottoman, rubbed some in the left knee, and rubbed it in well for a while. The knee was a little larger than when I got my head down last night after doing the same thing, rubbing in the ointment. Took off the , and grabbed , to take this photo of the colouring. Which was not too bad at all.
I gently raised my elephantine body up on its dodgy knees, leg ulcers, with and in both, to catch my balance… I don’t know why I’m not in hospital. Hahaha! Grabbed the wooden walking stick, and hobbled into the kitchen to get the kettle on. Where I took these three-morning view photographs – Gawd! They came out worse than yesterday’s were? What’s the opposite of smug-mode-engaged? I’ve just looked up an antonym… and made a tab to use; !

Yet another photo that I either can’t remember taking or, took without realising that I’d taken it.
Not good, is it?

Eventually, I got the first of the two permitted brews of tea made. Thompson’s Punjana this time.

Sorted out the waste bags, and got them into one large one.
Took it to the front door to be collected by the Carer at a later time.

Then got the daily doses, dosed, and the ointments, cream applications, and medications tackled. Ear drops, eye drops, and eye-cleaning sorted.
Washed the Jenny-Donated mugs ready for the second brew, possibly Glengettie in the afternoon/evening.
Off to the wet room for the first   duties.
Far less rumbling within the innards this time pre-session.
Things seemed to be nearer normal this time… Not that I ever have a regular evacuation. Hehe!
The lovely Carer arrived and I asked her to check the date written on the day pouch. I asked her if she could change the bag, but could not help her on how to do it. She rang someone, Meridian, I think, I could not hear what she was saying.

The man told her the bag was to be changed every month. This left me feeling confused. I felt sure that Kara checked every week to check and see if the day-pouch had been changed? convinced me that I’d got it wrong again. I apologised to for getting things mixed up. A lovely gal. I think I’m losing it worse than usual? I’d have put money on it that I was right, and it should be weekly, and the dried blood from backed me up. “Thunder-Cocker-Upper Inchy” Strikes Again” Hehe!

Galore on the blogging, so I gave it up and did some sorting in the spare room. No lifting or bending, though, as per the instructions and recommendations from Sarah of the Falls & Rehabilitations Team. More bags to go. Back to the mistake ridden-ever correcting the blogging.

The next caller was . Another nice gal. We managed a little natter, leg-pulling and laugh. During which I explained my earlier over my thinking that the was changed every week… And she said I was right!
It’s the entire , tube and all, that should come out monthly; the day bag was to be changed weekly.
We decided that the communication with whoever it was who was rang on the phone was muddled, and the advisor, whoever that was, thought she meant the whole shebang being changed. You know, the inserted tube being removed, Argh! I left off overnight to see if I could manually pee again. Over the last 12 months or so, this has never been the case. Then, a month trial on Finasteride tablets to try and reduce the size of the prostate as a last gasp-chance, and if this does not work, a permanent catheter will have to be fitted. The month trial turned into a 6-month trial; no passing, but still on the Finasteride even now! No signs of any permanent catheter being fitted either. This seemed a logical conclusion to me, and Joanne. We both wondered if they were waiting for me to snuff it. Save them the expensive operation? Won’t keep them long. Hahaha!

I selected the lesser bruised potatoes and put them in the oven tray for baking later. It turned out to be ten hours later as it happened. Tsk!
A snack, a treat, was the next thing I made. Two mini butter croissants, with some naughty lemon curd in a side dish for dipping them into, and the final mug of Glengettie for the day.

As I took this snap of the beautiful sky…
I thought of Mother Nature, and far beyond the sky…
Are there really aliens out there monitoring the earth and its tellurians, especially humans?
We seem to assume that they will all talk in English? Learning it while spying on our planet.
Will their language, to us, sound all gibberish?
Our greed, lust, and criminality make the sick?
Our inventions, Money, H-Bombs, & arsenic?

Will they understand anything oligarchic?.
Spite, hatred, and Jealousy are pathetic!

Are we destroying our own earth, killing each other?
Home to some is a Fatherland or Mother?
Our lack of morals, bigotry, greed & multi-faiths?
Slaughtering the innocents, children & waifs?

The unknown below our ocean waves?.
Going to the moon, some say we didn’t, some did?
Our war criminals who fled and hid?
We free murderers to kill again, wrong, surely?
Families die of starvation daily?
Proletariats, scroungers, people controllers?
Some still believe in help from prayer?
Does anyone on earth care?
They all want more than their share!
Although, to be absolutely fair…
The aliens detected mostly despair,
And said, “Oogle bzz rticklum zare”
Translated: “Sod it, we’re not landing there!”

What a fantastic, beautiful display of clouds in the sky this afternoon.
My love of pareidoliaising was inspired! I saw a frog, nose, fingers, and many creatures with open mouths, and beaks. Took me a while to pull myself away from searching and finding so many things within this view from above.
It’s one of the best, most pareidoliaiable I’ve ever taken… speaking as a committed, dedicated Pareidolianist. I just can’t help myself, Hehehe!

The blogging was not very productive now. Feeling tired and weary. Thus, even more cock-ups and mistakes were being made as I pressed on regardless. I cheated on my two mugs of tea a day… and made a third one. Naughty? Yes! In mitigation, it was not intentional then, as fooled me. But by the time I’d sat at the computer to drink it… the Memory returned and guilt flowed. I thought, well, I’m not throwing it away now, and drank it gladly! I didn’t realise how long it took to make so many errors on the blog!

Checked the spud in the oven. Soon be ready to get them made into cheesy potatoes.

Nightie-Night Sunshine!
See you tomorrow.
Well, let’s hope we do anyway, my friend.
Evening Carer Victor called. Took his Blood Pressure, pulse and temperature. All was fine! ♫ Jealousy, t’was all over my Jealousy ♫. Hahaha!

Made a start emptying the potato husks into the mixing bowl, with some delightful Leicester Cheese to taste.
I got them mashed as well as I could without any major droppages or spillages. Flesh back in the halved husks, with sea salt and not butter, butter. Forked the tops to aid with crisping while cooking. And into the oven on 220° heat, and back to close the computer down. Then, I got the dirty pots I’d made washed with my not-so-secret method: I’d put the dishes in the bowl, baking powder and washing up liquid added, and as the hot water filled the bowl, most of the bits of burnt cheese floated up and out of the bowl into the sink! A tip here: if you try this, make sure you run plenty of cold water around any metal bits in the sink cause it stains it rotten! As I discovered the first time I tried it, I didn’t rinse the baking powder properly. Now, with all my ailments, I also have a horrendously well-staind metal sink! That is impossible to clean off!
Here it is!
Two potato rissoles, and the ultra-tasty, & flavourful, took three hours to cook and came out alright for once, famous throughout the land.. the World, and the Universe are my own secret recipe for Leicester cheesy baked potatoes! Well, my neighbour Josie likes them.

TTFN, each!

BACK TO NEAR NORMAL
Which is not necessarily a good thing. In fact, the loss of the Flu Vaccine’s unique side-effect of removing my guilt and self-hatred, thus giving me an air of “Sod-it!” to all my physical and mental problems, granted me the best, most peaceful 22hrs of the year to date!
The pestering-browbeating, doubts, fretting, frustrations, apprehensive, distracted, distraught, nervous, on edge, stressed, self-despising, muddled brain, constant forebodings and depression have all returned! Sadly! Tsk!

Today was not a good one… but no disasters as such.
Not a single visit to the .

Managed a new record, I think…

Ah, a betterer colour this morning!

Another not-so-good photo of the morning view.

I had not seen her for ages; nice gal.

I got on with blogging for a few hours. All the regular anticipated mistakes and errors were committed. More than usual, really, with…
So often.

arrived for the PM call. She did a kitchen and bathroom check on the taps & stove and took the waste bag to the chute for me.

I took two piccies of the afternoon clouds later.
One to the left…
‘Tother to the right!

No seepage from .

Then, when I took my four hours with the leg up on the chair, I turned on the TV to see if anything worth watching was being broadcast… that’s when I drifted off. Five hours later, I woke up with a nervous twitch and tic.
I lay there all distorted on the c1966, £300 Oxfam charity shop bought, second-hand, wincingly grotty, beige coloured, crumb-covered from my nocturnal nibblings, itch-making, uncomfortable, positively unhealthy & dangerous, no longer operational, virus-breeding, easy-to-fall-out-of, Catheter-tube-trapping, recliner…
I recall knocking the remote control thingy off the recliner’s arm, thinking about retrieving it, and…
Zzz! Another three hours of heavenly, if broken by mini-wake-ups, sleep was enjoyed.

I think it was who called to wake me.

I was not exactly with it, but I got the potatoes from the slow cooker and mashed them with some not-butter butter, sea salt and a dash of Pryprawa seasoning. I put them in the oven to keep warm and added some no-meat sausages in a saucepan with more Pryprawa seasoning. Tomatoes, pickled beetroot, and some chunky pickles as well.

Took this shot while waiting for the cooking of the meal.

caused the hand to wobble, so I had more salt than planned. Hehe!
A taste rating of 8.2/10 was given.

I stayed awake long enough to get the pots cleaned, do a safety check, and then back into the recliner.

Now I plan to sleep. Which initially went well, straight off into dreamland almost instantly. With the absence of last night, it annoyed me when he kicked off non-stop all night.
I got fed up with waking up!

Horrible day today. causing more bother each day. No choice but to keep stopping doing the odeing or blog, to get the leg up on the chair, until the fluid stops erupting. But it’s pouring out more than ever. Some found their way down into the slipper this afternoon. Naturally, my concentration was all over the place. I made so many mistakes again. I saved files to the wrong day in the file – I’m still not sure I’ve got the photos sorted to where they should be. Humph!
Then, a break to go to the Throne or get my leg up again, and what and where I had got up to and was doing before the ‘Leg-Break’ needed working on. With even more errors being found later on. This is bad enough…
But the constant pain from the leg and flipping was frequently joined by . And I’ve got this until Tuesday when the nurse returns to check on the state of my leg… That’s not all… Two medical appointments on Monday, one on Tuesday, and two on Wednesday to cope with. Getting the ablutions done with no showering allowed is going to be a battle. Getting my shoes on to go to the appointments, getting dressed and remembering everything needed are more challenges to get right.
Wot? Me Worried? Hehe!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Is it a pretty deep colour?

Another go at taking shots of the moon.
The first one was the bestest.
The second one, I nearly missed it altogether!
Oh, dearie me…
Ah, well, I did my best!

Early mug of Glengettie.
With the spuds that I intend to bake, take them out of the oven and empty the husks into a basin. Mix them up well with Leicester cheese and a splash of sea salt.
Refill the husks with the mixed, mashed-up potatoes, put them back in the oven for half an hour to brown and crisp them, then gorge myself eating them!
Hope the teeth don’t start bleeding again.

Morning view.
And the car park too!

looked no worse than yesterday. But in fact, the stinging was getting more & more frequent as the day went on. I had to keep stopping to put the legs up. Which meant getting back to the blog and not really being sure where I was up to or doing when I sat with the leg up each time! I lost more time and had problems with making me get things wrong again; I’m not sure if there are more errors in this blog, but I feel confident there will be. Humph!

Late afternoon view.

Then, while taking another breather in the £300 second-hand shop bought, c1966, moth-eaten, bedraggled, cringingly-beige-coloured, grotty, dilapidated, crumb-containing from my nocturnal nibblings, bug-ridden, itch-inspiring, not working recliner, to allow the pains from to ease a little, the urgent need of the arrived, and the next half hour, I had to make two more visits!
All calls were of the same style.

Got the cheesy potatoes out of the oven.
Rubbed some Germolene on the burnt ringers…
I emptied the husks into a bowl and bashed them as best I could… The bowl slipped, but I caught it before it fell to the ground… unfortunately, some of the potato mix fell out of the bowl…
I automatically tried to stop it from escaping.
Put the bowl down and retrieved the lumps of precious cheesy spuds from the floor…
Banging my head on the counter-top as I did so.
Eventually, I returned to the kitchen and put the spuds in the oven to brown them off.
I was beginning to regret making these. Haha!

I intended to do some more blogging. But by now, was giving me some more hassle, and thanks to the bending done, the mean, nasty had joined in, too. So I saved the work, turned off the computer, and got my leg up again while the spuds browned off & crisped.

Carer Chris arrived and got the night pouch out, ready for me to use later after having my late meal.
Did the eye drops, and off he went.

I fell asleep in the £300, second-hand, decrepit, Haemorrhoid Harold-testing, sleep-deterring, nauseatingly beige-coloured, not-working recliner. Without a thought about the potatoes cooking away in the oven…
I woke with the jerk and could smell the burning of the potatoes! No panic or worry, or nearly taking a tumble as I hastily clawed my way up on my feet and en route or knocked over the spring water bottles on the way to the kitchen!
above!
I opened the oven and got the tray out ASAP…
Same fingers, but no pain whatsoever. This was due, temporarily, to combined with failing to inform the brain of the smoking burn on the back of my hand. A few minutes later, while I was applying the Germolene again, the shock of the pain got through… Arrgh! I dropped the now nearly empty tube of antiseptic on the floor. This time, I cunningly used the plastic-picker-upper to get it back. Then served up the late, semi-burnt potatoes feast. It looked good; I had to stay awake long enough to eat it… Not easy sometimes, you know!
The husks were really overcooked, yet I, inadvisably, tried to get my few teeth left into them… one of them literally!GC tooth gum
I now have one less tooth! Well, ¾ of one.
But the flash of the cheesy potatoes went down wonderfully well. Flavour Rating:9.2/10
I’m not rating the potato husks here. Haha!
The tomatoes Jenny had gifted me were magnificently tasty (Thanks, Jenny ♥). The vegan sausages were very passable flavour-wise, too!
The things that marred the noshing session a little were , and pestering stabbing pains. In fact, it was Leslie who kept me from nodding off again. Each time I almost drifted into paradise, she reminded me of her presence!

I often wonder why I give my ailments names.
I’m still working on this…

Cheers, Folks!

Today, many a calamity-cluster!
Abated by precious Carer Kara,
A tumble, the nurse followed after,
Things got worse, thereafter…
Dropped a bowl of dishwater…
Lymphorrhoea Leslie’s water…
Ingrowing nail pains started!
Knee & back pains agitated,
But I was unintimidated…
Sorry about that… I lied!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Due to , I’d stored photos on the wrong day in the file. So some may be from earlier, as I got myself in a muddle trying to sort them. Sorry again. if so!

06:14hrs: was leaking rather painfully as I stirred back into my mock-imitation, forlorn pitiful life. She was stinging much more this morning as well.
As I removed the night bag from the catheter, other ailments joined in. With what seemed a concerted effort. A  lets attack Inchy with as much pain as we can today. They were successful! , , and a rare visit from . The pain behind the left eye kicked off…
EQ kept telling me, “I warned You!” I knew things were not going to go well at all today – and boy was I right!
Had I known what was going to happen, I’d have hibernated there in the £300 second-hand shop purchased, c1966, welt-causing, uncomfortable, not-working, welt-creating, itch-making crumb-containing recliner.

I got to the wet room and utilised the first job. Aha, had not lost control completely, but I’d say was fighting back! The shaving went bloodlessly. !
The showering did not! The patch I’d put on was loosening its grip a bit. , and flowing freely was . giving me gip each time I had to bend or stretch. But the Germolene and Germoloids I’d managed to buy, did a fine job in stopping the bleeding for me.
Emptying the bowl that I’d washed my feet in while shaving, I got a little, but enough, of the shakes and twitches from , to ensure that I dropped the bowl of dirt water. Innit amazing how far water can spread? Come think of it, she had support from my to inform the befuddled brain of my physical needs.
The urine was a good-looking colour today. It kept changing several times later on from this practically near perfect to a deep orangey-red?
Little was jealous of the other ailments’ success I think, and the pangs and pains started coming from him, and are still with me tomorrow.
I thought today was bad… but having already lived tomorrow, they are not so bad!
I made another Heath Robinson affair and put it on Not the foggiest idea what I might have done wrong, but boy did the pain increase! Yes, it did!
seemed the ‘Ailment in Command’ at this stage. Even worse than the , this was a first!

arrived. Medications sorted, and the eye drops. I did ask the lad if he could put some of the Phorpain gel on , but somehow we both forgot about it. No blame attached, other than to me. I’m the one in pain, and I forgot to remind him. We’ll settle I think for blaming

Arrived, for financial & advising. Well, she was overwhelmed I think, all the problems I needed help with.
â‘  Covid-jab appointment making.
â‘¡ Flu-Jab appointment making.
â‘¢ She called the district nurse to get some advice for me on the bleeding. Told me they will report this to the nurses.
â‘£ She tried to arrange a lift for the Audio Clinic appointment that she had made for me, but it doesn’t look too good – no free spots. The chap told Kara, that if any do come free, I’ll be first on the list to get a lift. He would ring back to let me know if that happens.
⑤ Kara did the eye drops and medicationing.
â‘¥ Checked on the Catheter bag for me.
⑦ When I went to find the Olive Oil applicator for the ears.  She even found time to come and pick me up after I took a Dizzy-Tumble. Bless her!
⑧ There was something else she did, but I can’t recall it now.

I thanked her again, and off she had to go, always sad!

I’d be Lost Without Her Weekly Call to Help me!

I went out onto the balcony for a look around, hoping maybe to find some trees or clouds that I might do some with.
But the clouds were very minimal and high and with my eyesight, they were not seeable enough really. But the close-up stuff was. Taking a shot of the end car park, I saw that the mudslide was receding at a good rate. No rain last night?
I opened the door and took a close-up of the car park area.
The mudslide had a sort of glow to it? After I on the raised ledge when getting back inside. I smiled, passed wind, and laughed it laughing it off, of course...

Potatoes on the boil. Then I searched for my new bottle of olive oil… Couldn’t find it, despite finding it hours later smack in the middle of the Carer’s table. Tsk!
Tea GlengettieMade the second permitted mug of tea.
Glengettie of course.
I used the Jersey Full Milk this time. Lovely! But naughty, Sister Jane says!
The Carer arrived, and UI left the mug of tea to go cold, forgetting all about it.
The mug was well stained when I discovered it. Testimony to the flavour of the brew!
The Community Nurse arrived, to look at the state of .
She took a photograph of the lesion where the fluid was seeping from. Then set about drying it and wrapping the leg from just below the knee, down and around the foot!
It felt better afterwards, but of course, I was being distracted by the presence of a young lady, manhandling me. Hahaha!
She told me I must keep the leg raised at all times when not moving about. I had to insist she chose a dinkie and or nibbles from the display.
She obliged me, bless her; after I’d told her if she didn’t pick one, I’d be sulking all day.
Which brought forth the first laugh of the day.
Hehehe!. She said someone would come out on Monday to change the bandages and check on things. Amazingly I remembered Carer Kara telling me she made the appointments for the Audio Clinic and Covid jabs for Monday & Wednesday, as she thought I might be tired after the trek to the clinic and it would give me a day to recover. Now that was kind! ♥ I mentioned this to the nurse, who said they would come on Tuesday instead.

Three hours or about, later, I checked on the leg when the Carer came.
He took this photo.
Looks like the fluid and a smidgeon of blood had started to flow.

Then it dawned on me – I would not be able to take a shower! It’ll have to be doing the washing stood at the sink. Which, will mean difficulties in getting access to certain areas that the shower spray usually takes care of. And on Tuesday, if they rebandage it again, an even longer period without a shower? Will I begin to reek? Haha! There is not a lot of escapage at the moment, so the chances are that they may leave it to get some air… or not. Mind you come think of it, it’ll be five days before they call… Ah, well!

The blogging will have to be cut short: if done at all. It seems essential that I get my leg up! There is no answer to that! Har-Har!
I’ll try to get a cartoon made, and an ode daily. If time or I’m up to it. Sorry folks. Evening photo of the oddly light night.

There are also three medical appointments to sort out and fit in next week? I’m not feeling too good about the coming week. EQ agrees with me.

Great meal, though.
The Flavour-Rating given was a deserved 8.5/10.
Would have been higher if I had not undercooked the potatoes. Tsk!

Fingers Crossed – I can’t cross the legs or fingers voluntarily anyway.
The worst of the ailments at present is the pain coming from the s Papules; a close second is the toe nail, which for some reason dosen’t like putting my legs up.

POLITICAL EDITOR INCHY HeHeHe!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

From yesterday. When waiting for the internet to come back on, I turned in the TV, and this procedure was on…
A gigantic lymph thingy was growing on a chap’s back.
Bit by bit, they kept on tugging out the growths.
Then stitched up the hole.
The evacuated pile!
The man expressed his relief at getting rid of it. Now he can swim again on holiday! Good for him!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
My Legs transformed into close to, or as normal as they have been for ages. The ulcer is itching like mad on the right ankle, but no real pain. Apart from when I scratch at it. Haha!

I took this first outside shot, through the kitchenette window, in ‘Through Glass’ mode using the camera. To get the raindrops on the glass. The flash activated, and some reflection must have been caught. Of what, I know not.

.
Went onto the balcony, to see if the mudslide had begun with it raining. This was a decent shot. But, when I took a wide shot…
.
I seemed to take two at the same time, which is not possible, surely? Still, it looked sort of artistic.

This shot, (they were taken through the windows), caught how it looked to the eye.

Waste bags were assembled.
Taken to the Hallway door.

Sainsbury’s order arrived.
The driver put the stuff in carriers for me.
I thanked him, and unpacked the things.
Great! Got some Anusol for , and Savlon for the ankles and chaffs. Even got some olive oil for the ears at last! Bikkies & Marmite cashew nuts (These’ll test the teeth!). A Milk Roll loaf too.
Other goodies: Lemon mousse, dried roasted onions, and liquid sea salt. Oven cook chips, and canned veg soup.
I set about getting the meal prepared! By gum, it was a good one. Taste Rating: 8.2/10. The teeth hurt after eating up. Tsk!

Nurse Nicole rang while was here. She asked if I’d like them to arrange for a ‘Social Prescription’ for me. (Said Kara who was on the phone for me). She said it was for Social Contacting and would be arranged for someone to ring me. Confused!  I replied yes please, and Kara passed on the message.

Spent hours on blogging, but the lack of sleep… well, I’d not had any last night at all, forced me to stop, and just sit myself down again in the recliner, in anticipation of a good kip!

An hour later…
Carer Benjamin arrived. Evening medications, eye drops administered, Peptac, and he checked the taps and oven for me, before checking .
I soon nodded off again. But not for long; I sprang awake and could hear a clattering noise from the flat above. I believe that she/he may have dropped something. I pondered on getting dressed and calling at the flat to see if they were alright… But I heard other noises; one was plainly a walking stick falling and came from another area of the ceiling. I assume things were okay up there. They or he or she, is always making loud noises, late at night sometimes. But, with my tumbles and droppages bothering those in the flat below me, I take in my stride now.
Getting back to sleep was not an option, as I tried to, and unfortunately started on at me.
I was relieved, when blared from the door chime, and in came . Painkillers, eye drops and the night pouch attached, and off home he went. Haha!

I tried once again to get some sleep catch-up. It was not a successful effort. Constantly almost bursting awake so often, I gave up at 03:30hrs and started another day. Of which, I anticipate will be another one of frustration-ridden mishaps, and, as warned by my EQ: Whoopsiedangleplops, Accifauxpas, hurdles, harassments, hassles, hopelessness, hindrances, hitches, handicaps, headaches, and negative aspects to cope with.

It’s being so cheerful that keeps me going, you know!

SORRY ABOUT ALL THE MISTAKES – I HAD TO RUSH IT
Thanks to Liberty-Global Virgin Media for letting me down so often yet again. Not so often, actually, but in total, I had no internet for over 4-hours! Cocked up all my plans.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Where can I start? What few words will satisfactorily cover today’s disastrous, frustrating, farcical, pathetic, depressing, failure-filled, up for 26hrs of trying to catch up… Oh yes, they’ll do!

What a difference in yesterday’s & today’s nocturnal colouring of the wee-wee!

I see this as a danger sign that they threatened and been warned that, a permanent catheter would be put in, shortly? It’s been a long time now since I’ve been taking Finasteride prostate-reducing tablets. It must be 3 months by then? Remember when I first had the catheter fitted? All the blood in the bags. I found this photograph on file from December 22.

It took them from my getting into hospital when the deep red blood started to flow. After three visits to the QMC hospital, I was kept in again. During this, over two days, the catheter was put in and taken out, then back in, then out, at least eight times. Oh, the pain! I got to learn the sounds of other patients having theirs out and in again; because it was the same sort of Arrgh!, that I was making each time. Humph!

Then I was transferred to the City Hospital. Where the frequency over three days of the agonising tube going in repeatedly, was twice as often as at the QMC!

Next, a visit to a Specialist in Sherwood Hospital. Eight outpatient visits to the City Hospital Urology, to be told they are not sure what caused it in the first place. The last time I met any Doctor about the problem, was at the Private Hospital. That turned out to be an eight-minute talk, and I was told he was going to advise my GP to start me on Finasteride but must take it for two months, which hopefully, potentially may reduce the size of my Prostate and allow the flow of voluntary urine flow to begin again. Nurses arrived to put the new type of catheter cruelly in Little Inchie Hehehe! Four months later, of my taking Finasteride, the nurses returned and took out the catheter, calling back two days later, and they checked with the scanner how much urine was in the bladder after I rid as much as I could to the WC. One of the nurses said the bladder was still a third full. So, back in went the catheter again!
Supposedly for another two months, of Finasteride taking. That was four months ago. I’ve had the Catheter contraption taken out and straight back in twice more times, but no sign of me being allowed to try to manually wee-wee again?
I lost the plot there, didn’t I?  It’s the getting darker urine in the bag that’s got me going. They didn’t know or didn’t tell me, apart from ‘Some Infection’, the cause of this nearly a year ago started blood from the bladder.
Back to today… Well, yesterday, it was already 04:00hrs, and this is as far as I’ve got with this blog; waffling does not help, and boy, am I tired. Have to cut corners, Sorry. (But I ended up bogging, spitting and passing wind all night long, blogging instead)

After taking the nocturnal pouch from the day bag, I tackled the waste bin assembly.
Placed them near the door.

I took a snap of the extremely blue views from the kitchenette window.

Then the ablutions were tackled. Not a good session. Stubbed a toe, and spilt the washing bowl all over the floor, picking up after standing in it to clean the feet. The teeth were bleeding, just two cuts shaving. The feet, or rather toes, seemed to be getting larger areas of apparent bloodlessness?.

Another change in the Evacuated Produce in the WC. Can’t understand this. I mentioned these variations to the Doctor, but, either she wasn’t interested, didn’t hear me, or, I meant to mention it but forgot to? Spent ages cleaning up.
Hristina, my sweet DVT, INR phlebotomist nurse, arrived to take some more blood ♥♥♥. Lovely to see her. The INR level, was at 2.9 last time, so I may not see her again next week. Boo!
As the internet went down again, Carer Richard arrived. He looked and sounded a little better this week, I’m glad to report. Nice chap.
As he left, the Ocado order arrived.

DOWN FOR 4.5 HOURS

The driver carried the bags through to the kitchen for me. Thanked him, and offered him a nibble or drink in thanks, but he declined.
I’d got Tonic Water, instead of Soda Water, but that’s no bother. Lavender Dettol for washing the tenderer areas washing. The seaweed arrived. Ans some biscuits made by LU to try, which I did, but they were not to my liking, too hard and sweet for me and the few teggies I’ve got left. Tsk! I gave them to the next carer, as he tried one and liked it. The batter scraps arrived, too, I intended to have some of these later. The fresh Kenyan peas were a treat to have as well! Aha, a soft biscuit, I see! Jolly good for me!
I didn’t get the bananas, but have one left. I think I may have ordered some from Asda?
After working on and off on the blog for some fours… The Mammoth Blackout, from you know who…
IT WAS OFF FOR 4.5hrs!
I spent a long time trying to sort it before I started watching the time. .Nothing seemed to work. Wi-Fi swapping and that didn’t help either. Reset, reboot, I closed down everything completely, and that failed.
All shut off again, restarted the crap Liberty-Global Virgin Media box, gave it a reboot and sat waiting.
Another do-no-good idea. At one point, the service did return, but lasted only a few seconds; this repeated several times. Most frustrating. I had to give up and reset the box again, leaving restarting while I got an early nosh sorted out.
Made a mess cooking this meal, a right one! I actually wrote the timing down after I worked out what was needed in order. The potatoes were left over in the crock pot from last night… well the early hours of this morning, I was having them cold. Only the pretend fish, peas and fish batter to heat up in the oven for just two minutes. I’m looking forward to these; I’ve not had any for months. The fish in the air-fryer needed 20 minutes, the peas a few minutes to just heat up in the saucepan, tomatoes soy sticks tomatoes and beetroot no cooking needed. When I laid out the plate, there seemed to be a gap?
I got the cooking utensils, washed up straight away. Then got seated and tucked into the meal. I was about 90% of the way through eating it… and suddenly remembered I’d left the batter bits in the oven! I foolishly rushed to the kitchen, and grabbed the bits tipping them on the nearly finished meal tray.
Of course, they were burnt to buggery! What a Plonka! No internet, burnt meal what next? Although you can’t see it in the picture on the right, it was belting down with rain. Not that that bothered me. I was just hoping to get the computer internet working again. The two Carers who called were amazed to me not on the computer!.
Interesting shot here on the left. Why I snapped my fingers? No doubt I hadn’t meant to, surely? Hehehe!
I took a shot of the sky while waiting for the damned, blasted Liberty-Global Oligarchs box to reset yet again. A highly Pareidoliaiable Picture this one!.
(Incidentally, it is now 05:50hrs on Tuesday) .
Carer Benjamin called earlier on the last visit of the day. I took this photo then but only just got around to getting it from the SD card. I sent him a copy by email.

Not that I can get much sleep, cause the Carer is calling in 2-2.5 hours. But I can go on no further. Busy day tomorrow, I’ve got to have a battle with the internet again, I may cry!
The Asda delivery is due. The DVT and FAlls Team Sarah… ‘Might’ be calling, and the spare room needs clearing. I still need help with arranging the flu jab at the chemist. I may be back… or not!
Overnight shot of the open balcony doors and the TV I watched when you know who’s internet went on strike again! I viewed a ‘Something Inside Me’ programme and took a few photos as I did so.
I put these on Tuesday’s blog, and got two hours sleep, then started to do that.

Mentally Shattered – But EQ was here, telling me things were going to get much worse. He was right!

Inchy: Friday 8th Sept 2023 – With Moments of Mental Yobbery!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Easy-Peazy! Even I found it in about ten minutes! Hehe!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

A had me over in the kitchen, and onto the floor, within about ten minutes of waking up.  But, he was assisted by giving way at the same time. Clouted my cheek on the corner of the counter on the way down with a sort of crunch-thud. Haha!
Minutes later, when I was shaving, made me turn to get , and I completely misjudged it. I spun around, giving the door frame a half-decent shoulder charge. I turned quickly when  I thought I may have left the tap (faucet) running, which did the trick. I must have splashed some of the soapy water on the floor, and soon found it! Luckily I fell against the shower chair, which saved me struggling to get back up again, at least. A good start!

The night pouch was even darker this morning, (which I don’t think is good for my chances of ever getting the bothersome and sometimes painful, always frustrating, and/or irritatingly, often needing to be emptied, which meant a trip to the wet room then kitchen to clean up) removed permanently.
Whipped back the balcony window curtain, using the long picker-upperer, To see the view of the morning mist, surrounding the flat’s complex.
I went onto the balcony, to try and take a photo of the front car park through the glass.
It didn’t come out well, as you can see from this fudgy picture that I took. Not so good?
I got some potatoes in the crockpot straight away. I did this because there’s always a chance that my ever-present, will allow me to forget later.
I spent some time sorting the waste bins out. Got them placed at the front door, so the Carer can see them and take them to the waste chute for me; bless them.

Onto the computer, I’m so far behind with the blogging, and I got settled to have a good bash and try to catch up. Hehehe! I should have known better, of course. A Porc failedDemand for the , so off to the wetroom, which produced no evacuations, just effort, pain and failure to perform. Haha! A little bleeding. So, I cleaned up and shaved, applied
Germoloid ointment. Which was a blessed relief! Shaved & washed. The Carer arrived. Medications & eye drops issued. I took my and his BP. Benjamin’s was great! Mine was not so good. As was expected.
I did Carer Chris’s later on.
Here are the written figures before they went onto the NHS sight for analysis. One came out as Normal, the other as Ideal. Two Fit Carers I have!

The shortage of Olive Oil for my ears was wrangling at me, still. So I had another search for medical olive oil and found that Ocado, do some.
So, made an order for groceries to be delivered on Monday, hoping the Ocado have some in stock to send.

I spent hours and hours catching up on blogging and artwork on CorelDraw for future blogs. Despite this, I am still far behind schedule.

Suddenly the last Carer call was done, and I hadn’t used the , Nor had I had anything to eat… no, that’s a fib. I’ve had a banana and several of the gorgeous Le Petit Beurre biscuits. Irresistible, in fact, I’m sorry I found them now. They should be banned! Haha!

A late meal was hastily prepared. The potatoes I’d put in the crock-pot, about 14 hours earlier, were drained and on the plate. I added the last of the just out-of-date smoked ham, after sniffing each piece. some were removed. The yellow & red tomatoes, these were four days out of date, but tasted lovely. Some bits of no-butter butter were placed on top of the potatoes. Some tangy sauce on the plate, to dip the bread with ham squashed in them… nice! The tasteless Asda raspberry ready-made jelly was well-edible to me.
Then… as I was picking up the tray of fodder… again, I got a hit. And the plate and food had to be scraped up from the tray and floor! I was in semi-agony by the time I cleaned things up and dolloped the once attractive-looking food back on the plate. But I ate it all, well, not the bits with dust from the floor on them.
Flavour Rating: 4.8/10!

Then, I got weariness and tiredness come very late for me. Got the pots washed, and I honestly almost fell asleep at the sink doing them! Flavour Rating: 8.8/10!

As I was checking that the taps (faucets), and hobs were not left on, and made my way out of the door, I remembered I’d not checked the fridge and freezer doors. Went back to do so.
They were okay, and the view outside I thought was amazing for the early hours of the day. Taking this photo of the houses, I noticed how surprisingly light the sky looked for this time of day?

I almost dropped into the aged, grotty-looking c1966 made, charity-shop-bought, horribly beige-coloured, £300, Harold’s Haemorrhoid-testing, non-operational, acne-giving, virus-breeding, rickety, easy-to-fall-out-of recliner, in search of .
But with almost immediate effect, began his tirade of fear, guilt and shame-producing verbals.

Ah, well…

INCHY: Monday 4th September 2023 – Mentally intensated

Let’s have no cheating, please… Hehehe!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
My eyes were hurting when I woke up with a jerk. Before getting the night pouch off the catheter, I’d taken two naughty, but effective strong Nurofen tablets. I keep some near the £300 second-hand shop bought, c1966. moth-eaten, bedraggled, cringingly-beige-coloured, grotty, dilapidated, crumb-containing from my nocturnal nibblings, bug-ridden, itch-inspiring, not working recliner, on the Ottoman, within reach. By the time I’d got the pouch off and made a brew, the pain had eased a lot from the right eye… not the left though. I didn’t take any more naughty painkillers, cause the Carer will be here to give me some Paracetamol & Codeine. Don’t want to overdo things. I’m not saying KI wasn’t tempted to, though.
A highlight of pleasantness arrived in the form of Nurse Hristina from the DVT Anticoagulation Clinic to take some blood for INR analysis. The poor thing sounded like she had a sore throat. Bless her cotton socks. Such a lovely kind lady.
Carer Chris arrived. Eyes and medications issued. Started the blogging update, and it happened yet again, even as early as this. Carer Victor did the midday and early evening calls. The weariness and tiredness dawned, and I went off on the Ode word-finding mission that took me hours and hours. KI just couldn’t stop; the brain seemed to be blinkered?

A bad start got worserer. And yet, when I semi-recovered my grasp on things, I was so cheerful about it.
No time or instinct for taking photos, although I did take a few. Carer Victor took some of the evening sky for me. But through the balcony windows

The night pouch is nice & fullish, a good colour.

Sorted the waste bags into one.
The scratches on the wall, came from when I fell over getting the bags in position and the walking stick hit the paintwork..

Sported out some bladder-filling bottles.

A mug of Glengettie went down well.

Evening Carer Victor arrived, and eye drops and medications were done. He took these snaps through the balcony glass.

I finished the blog and sent it off.

Made up several templates, which was time-consuming, but I was pleased I got them done. A long job and I made many mistakes in doing it. No doubt I’ll find more when I use them.

Turning of now, so weary, and the flaming eye seems to get worse as the night approaches.
Back in the morning, all being well, like. Haha!

Roving Reporter Inchy (well, moving occasionally around the flat anyway), is back with this catch-up report.

Carer Victor arrived, waking me from a period of sleep, that was free of interference from . A precious rarity that, of course, they returned the instant I nodded off after getting down in the after Victor had departed.
Medications were issued, the night pouch readied, eye drops put in, and he helped me get the chips out of the oven and onto the plate for consumption. (Is that the right word?)

The chips were burnt to my favourite crispiness; well, with my shortage of teeth, they can be sucked at. Haha!Yellow tomatoes, and soy balls. Flavour-Rating: 8.2/10!

Down on the c1968, non-operational, tatty, scruffy, unkempt, uncomfortable, germ-breeding, Harold Haemorrhoid-Testing, sickenly beige-coloured, crumb covered recliner, in search of sleep. But, it was not to be!
Made sure of that! I was getting s smidge wee’d off with this and got up to wash the food things.
Glad that I did now; the evening sky had a great hue to it. I fetched Kodak Keith and tried my best to get a decent shot of the view on offer. was bothersome. She had been all day really come to think of it, and when I was getting settled at the window, kicked off, too.

My first photographicalisationing shot came out wobbly-shaky, to say the least. But it was different if nowt else…
A never-been-known for months, determination rose from within my demented afflicted brain. I was not going to give up this time! My resolve cost me a lot of time. Getting gently wedged on the window locking block, I tried again to take a better picture… but no, it came out terrible again. So, putting some paper towels behind the block, to help keep the botherations from and to a minimum, I tried again…
Aha, that one came out betterer. For me, anyway.

Back in the aged, grotty-looking c1966 made, charity-shop-bought, horribly beige-coloured, £300, Harold-Haemorrhoid-testing, non-operational, acne-giving, virus-breeding, rickety, easy-to-fall-out-of recliner.
To my utter pleasure and delight, there was no interference from . I had a few mini-dreams; they were each doom-ladened, depressing, confusing themes.

TTFNski, all!

The second meal of the day – A rarity?

So many ailments attacking today. The most annoying and bothersome one was without a doubt; . For constant sheer pain, and causing me balance loss. The above-average ones were , and . With support from & a particularly persistent kept failing.
An awful lot of jobs that I could not handle were being left undone. How I’ll ever catch up is beyond me.
The Domestic did not turn up for her hour of cleaning; she’s catching up with her due holidays she told me two weeks ago, so no blame there. The flat is getting untidy now, and beginning to look uncared for. A messy carer’s desk with bits of tablet packaging residue on the carpet. But it’s too dodgy for me to start bending and cleaning in the state I’m in. Sarah the City-Care OT, sent me an email, telling me not to bend down, amongst other advice:

Mission impossible for some of the suggestions. How can the carers find time or staff to help me clear the room? They can’t supply the domestic now. They’ve had to cut down the hour, to half an hour, of financial assistance. It is the holiday period now; the poor devils are struggling. Staff are taking their breaks when they can, before the time runs out, can’t be helped mind you. I know how difficult it is, being in the same position when I was Security Controller at Sawley Security, a nightmare! Mission Impossible for them as well, re this guidance.  Everything is getting behind schedule, and my already dilapidated memory is suffering; I’m trying to catch up, and things get further behind. Now, the eyes & hearing have joined forces & stopped me from doing things. Hey-Ho!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

I’d spent nine hours updating this blog. Too many brown-outs from you know who…
This time, I lost all the stuff I’d done today!.
So I’ve lost heart here are some bits, mostly photos!

Morning moon.
