Inchcock Today – Thurs 28th Feb 19: Not much got done today, but I enjoyed doing it!

WD128.0.0 01:55hrs. I woke up and battled with the memories of a nightmare I’d been having, doing my best to get it, and the repetitiously resounding recollections to dissipate into the ether and stop disturbing my contentment! It was not the fact that I was falling down off of cliffs, tightropes, holes, off of bridges, out of aeroplanes, down sewers, etc. It was as if somehow, I knew it was not real, and I just wanted to stop myself being scorched and killed by the ever-burning flames wherever it was I landed. Very odd sensations were invoked, and I appeared to have felt guilty about my taking up the firemen and ambulance peoples time?  I believe there was a St Bernard and a St John’s medic at one of the attempted rescues, that was the only one where I didn’t snuff-it immediately – the one where I ended getting singed and shrivelled down the sewer drain?

Waking up was a delight. Took me a few moments to clear the brain-box of the memories. But I did, getting rid of memories and thoughts come so much easier as one ages. Hehehe!

WD128.0.0 Escaping the clutches of the £300 second-hand, ci. 1968 rickety, rusty recliner was a little more difficult than it has been of late. The right knee and left heel ensured this. Humph! As I gathered my equilibrium, composer aplomb and balance; I had to abandon the aplomb as I made a quick bee-line for the Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-wee bucket! Making it with seconds to spare.

Cleaned things up, and got on the computer to update the Wednesday blog. Stopped to have another wee-wee. Although these were frequent for an hour or so, they were all of the SWWW (Short-weak-wee-wee) evacuation type.

Back to the updating, then had to stop again for a Porcelain Throne session. Not such a messy affair this time. But it was not precisely a rushable one. In fact, I got through a chapter of the Victoria Wood biography.

Back to the updating of the blog. Flipping hard work this morning!

WD128.0.0 I stopped again, as I had forgot to do the Heath Checks and take the medications. Oy Vey!

4Thu001The resulting readings were much closer to the normal.

And, I found that I had not missed taking last nights tablet dosages, as well, besides!

Smug, self-congratulatory, puffed up, pleased with myself mode adopted!

I did the ablutions next. So I would be all ready for the Morrison delivery and ready to go out to the Aldi-store. Also have a chat with the Sturmscharführeress guard and sentry Wardens Julie and Deana at the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights Flats, and Administration shed for the Generalleutnantess Wardens Temporary HQ, Willmott-Dixon workers breakfast and tea-break room, Holding cell. Sarcasm & Insult distribution area, Tenants Socialisation Shed. Rumourmongering Clinic. Telling Inchcock off Zone, Things like crockery and pottery to be stolen from, and residents room Portakabin, and spare ammunition armoury.

Too early in the day to try out and use the new shower-head, though. So a Stand-up-routine was used. After which I went to make a mug of tea.

4Thu01WD128.0.0 As I was putting the kettle on, I thought to myself; “Hello, where’s that draught coming from?”.

It was a long time before I discovered I had left the new unwanted window open last night. Tsk! What a plonka!

The intercom rang, it was the Morrison driver with the delivery.

4Thu02I got the stuff stored away. I now have the fullest fridge and freezer of my life.

In fact, there was some fodder I could not get into the freezer at all! So I took a pack of bread thins with me later, to hand out and not go to waste, along with the tea bags I shall never use now I have a lifetimes supply of Glengettie and Morrisons Special Assam in stock.

This is the little gadabout route I did later.

4Thu05A little mist about this morning, but not too cold at all with it.

I dropped off the jars at the recycling bin and put the recycle bag in the big bins, Robert the caretaker had placed them outside ready to be emptied.

The workers were very busy on the new Extra Care Winwood Court fittings inside and out.

4Thu04I took this shot of the Winwood and Winchester blocks as I ambled along Chestnut Way to Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Flats, Oberstgruppenführer Wardens Temporary HQ, Toilet, Sarcasm & Insult distribution area, Rumourmongering Clinic. Tenants Socialisation Shed. Telling Inchcock off Zone. Things like china and pottery to be stolen from, and residents room. I entered to find a few folks in there. One came in later, not realising that the Social Hour had been cancelled due to poor Jenny being so ill.

Thankfully, the bread and tea bags were utilised. And Deana, rang the doctors for me, to book an appointment for the blood test, that no one had done from the surgery. Tsk! Thanks, Deana. She’s mad about, you know. Why every time or trips me up, or she hits me, she says, “Excuse me first! Hahaha!

I was more pleased about anything when I heard Julie tell Dean they needed some milk. I said I could bring some back for them, and they let do it. Great to be able to do a little bit for others, I went up another notch in the contentment stakes. Now I must make sure I don’t forget some semi-skimmed milk!

4Thu05aI noticed a poster on the wall in Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights, Hauptbereitschaftsleiteress Bellerina Warden’s Temporary HQ. Sarcasm & Insult distribution area. Tenants Socialisationistical Meeting Shed. Telling Inchcock off Zone. Holding cell block. Where things like crockery and pottery get stolen from, Rumourmongering Clinic, and somewhere to rest while waiting for the bus, Portakabin. Makes you think, dunnit?

WD128.0.0 I chatted with the gals on the short bus ride to Mapperley top. Alighted, with some difficulty when I got thrown around on the bus when I stood up to get off.

As I walked along to the Aldi store, the light began to fade a bit, and a cold breeze began. Ah, rain on the way, I thought.

Got in the store and made my to pick up the milk first, just in case I got carried away and forgot to later. I collected the bits and got to the checkout, where I bought and paid for: The semi-skimmed milk, two sourdough part-baked baguettes, a pork pie, refuse bags, some tomatoes, sliced cooked loin and some German roasted meat.

4Thu06As I got outside, taken aback with much darker things had got since I entered the Aldi store, proper-threatening weather now.

AS I passed the old car showroom that has the mystery contents in the window last week.

All became clear. (He says, fibbingly!) Outdoor Living by Zoo… although not too clear! Haha!

4Thu06aAs I moved on along towards the Mapperley Rise turn, that I needed to take to get home, the vehicle drivers were turning on their lights, it was getting so dark.

WD128.0.0 I stood still for a few moments. Because the view reminded me something or some time, some experience… but I could not recall precisely what it was. I soon gave up trying to find the reason and moved on.

As I turned right down the road, I attempted to make a panoramic photograph of the dimly-lit view ahead of me.

4Thu08It didn’t come out very well, and again a third of the take was just black. So I trimmed it off later, to leave this effort.

On the corner of Maurice Drive, some kind Nottinghamian had created some Nottingahamian Street Art. Humph!

As I got further down the hill. I tried another panoramic shot, this time of the Deacon Tyres depot.

4Thu09This one came out a little wider, but I don’t know why. I think I’ll have to stop trying these types of pictures on this old camera.

Some herbicidal chaps were working on murdering the trees. The peccary swine! Still, it gave me a new view to photograph for you! Hehe!

4Thu10I crossed the road so I could walk down where there were fewer of the builder’s vehicles around.

WD128.0.0 But, the contractors had left something in the way on the pavement. So, I had to risk life and limb and walk in the roadway, until I came to the junction when I could risk stepping on the wet grass and mud.

If you want a flat here, I can put in a good word for you? Hehehe!

As I got to towards the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights, Generaloberstesses Wardens Temporary HQ. WC, Holding cells. Rumourmongering Clinic. Sarcasm & Insult distribution area. Tenants Socialisationalistic Area. Telling Inchcock off Zone. Crockery and pottery to be stolen from location, and residents porta-cabin, I took these two shots.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Got into the shed and handed Hauptbereitschaftsleiteress & Harpsichord player, Warden Julie the milk. She insisted on overpaying me. A few words of a socialisationalistical nature were exchanged.

Going up in the lift, I espied two new posters on the walls.

I made way back to the flat. After a wee-wee, I put the food away and got on the computer to update this blog. Three hours (and wee-wees) later, the odd persistent noises from the other side of the wall ceased! I’m glad to say. That being an external wall, I assumed the lads were filling in the holes and gaps like they had done on Winchester Court.

4Thu17I went to check on the heat on the oven to put in the Hock, leek, potato gratin with extra cheese and tomatoes added.

The noises had stopped again

I could see why now.

The rain was pouring down, and the lads were running for the cover of their vehicles.

4Thu16WD128.0.0 Note that the Sony camera, the one that gives me redeye, reflections and refuses to allow me to take panoramic shots, is now offering me black squares as an added free extra!

Bad luck? Unlucky? Me?

4Thu20I gave up and got the nosh prepared.

Hock, leek, potato-gratin ready meal, with extra cheese, garden peas, french fries and tomatoes added.

Surprisingly enjoyable, although later after eating it, I did get visited by Confusion Confucius toying with the brain for a while.

Flavour rating of 8.8/10.

When it came (in the morning) to updating this blog, I fear that memory blanks prevent me from writing about what I cannot recall from here on?

Inchcock – Sat 9 Feb 2019: Frustrating day, full of fedupedness. Tsk!

2019 Feb 10

Saturday 9th February 2019

Croatia: Aso Toonaʻi 9 Fepuari 2019

WD 128.0.128 00:15hrs After so many annoying urinational interruptions to my night’s sleep, requiring my extrication from the £300 second-hand 1968 recliner and hobbling over to utilise the Emergency Grey Bucket, then climbing back on to the rickety recliner and foolishly expecting to get some sleep for more than what seemed ten-minutes, I gave up.  But I waffle again, Sorry! I don’t know if wee-weeing can make you tired, but I felt as if I had got no sleep in at all!

Not a good start to the day. Grumph!

WD 128.0.128 Of course, as I was climbing up on my feet, the Emergency Grey Bucket was needed again. Flipping ‘eck! The thing was nearly full! The wee-wee was the same as those had been overnight: SUPWWs (Slow Unwilling Painful Weak Wee-wees) So Gawd knows how many visits I must have made to almost fill up the bucket? I took the container to the WC and emptied it, then to the kitchen to wash rinse and absterged the bin. As I was putting in the disinfectant, I needed to use it there and then, again! Things were not boding well for this Saturday at all! A Glum-Woebegone Mode was adopted! Well, it suited how I felt!

Washed up, and got the Health Checks done.

6Sat10I checked on the BP chart from the web. It seems I’ve been in High Mode area (Red) for the last sixteen sphygmomanometer checks, and once in the Pre-High Blood Pressure (Yellow) bit for one reading only? The high pulse might be due to the water retention, or the Furesomide side effects, I suppose, but I won’t find out until I can get to see Doctor Vindla on Thursday. Who always finds my BP okay when she has taken it? Or hasn’t said owt if it was high or low, anyway.

But, hey-ho, I’m still here (I think). Physically almost intact, mentally damaged and in constant pain, maybe, but time will tell! Hahaha!

The wee-wees were getting more frequent but passing less and less. Do I take a Furesomide or not with my medications? My dilatoriness, dilly-dallying and procrastinational tendencies when making choices, opting for routes, buying something, etc., has got so much worse with age. Shame! I ended up taking half of a tablet. Tsk!

6Sat11Off to the Porcelain Throne.Another messy evacuation, all over in seconds! Cleaning up began.

The pins (legs) had less fluid in them I reckon, but they still felt rock hard.

A couple of new blood papsules had appeared, and a set of spider veins had disappeared.

6Sat08I got on with updating the Friday blog. Then on the WordPress reader. In between wee-wees you understand.

I went out onto the unwanted new balcony to take some pictures of the morning outside.

I was going to take a shot to the left, but the howling winds were too strong for me to open the finger-trapping spring-clip on the window safely. The top photo is down to the right, and the bottom one, I leaned out and took a photograph upwards of the corner of the Woodthorpe Court flats.

I didn’t photograph the top, cause I thought the barbed-wire, escape alarm klaxon, machine gun nest and searchlights might give you the wrong impression. Hehehe! Ah, the humour returns?

I got the mushrooms and chopped parsnips prepped and in the slow-cooker. Then I started this blog off.

The wee-wees began to get slowly less often from here on in, but still a little painful even if short. I changed to finalising the Saturday post.

I made up some black bags, then took them to the waste-chute. Returned and gathered the laundry bag and nipped down with it, to see if a machine would be free. And one was, so I got the clothes in it and started it going. As I left the room to go out and take some photographs of outside, the lovely Jenny passed by on her way to the Saturday 6Sat13Coffee morning that she runs every week. We exchanged greetings.

The wind coming in through the outer foyer was actually so strong, it stopped the auto door from opening! I had to heave against it to get out. Hehe!

All the same, the sky looked so lovely and bright, fresh!

6Sat16I took the bags out to the caretaker’s door, on coming back in, there was pieces of cement or concrete that had been blown in, a testament to how strong the winds were this morning.

I had a seat and perused one of the books someone had left on the table, ‘Learn Spanish – lesson eleven’. The machine finished, and I swapped the gear into the dryer and started it going.

6Sat15Back up to the apartment, and nodded off in the chair. Luckily not for too long.

Woke up and went down, a little confused. The bright sunshine had departed, the wind still raged, and some tiny bits of cement or concrete we being blown into and around me? No idea where from of course, but they were too small to be of any hassle or harm.

6Sat14I checked the drying washing, that was not ready yet, and the sun began to come out as I did so.

Some residents were spotted, only a few, on their way out. A ‘Good morning’ from me got dirty looks and a sneer of contempt, so I shut up.

WD 128.0.128 I waited a while and tested the washing for dampness, and they were ready. So, I emptied the drum, cleaned the filter and casing, hitting my elbow against the corner of the sink unit at the same time, then got the clothes folded and in the bag.

Back up in the lift, into the flat, and I noticed how amazing the view was from the unwanted new windows in the kitchen. I tried to take a panoramic photograph, but this below was all I could manage. Amazing colours, I thought. Well, hue?

6Sat12I had a breakfast with a difference for myself.

Marmite biscuits and cheese, with a gloriously tasty mug of the Glengettie Gold tea. Well, it was different! Haha!

WD 128.0.128 The weariness and fatigue fell, so early in the day too!

I was incapable of doing anything constructive. At least no visits came from Dizzy Dennis or Shaking Shaun. Just utter exhaustion and weakness.

I spent hours and hours just sat there in the second-hand recliner. I had a DVD on, but might as not have bothered, the brain was not registering much at all. But, I did manage to do the Health Checks and take the medications.

6Sat17I came round a bit, much later, and got something to eat, although it’s a good job I took a photo to remind myself, but cannot recall making it. Yet everything looked cared-for and laid out properly how I like for it to be? I didn’t fins any scraps in the bin, so I assume I ate it all.

I’ll be glad to get to see the Doctor this Thursday about these horrible blanks and bouts of weariness.

I expect as usual she’ll listen, tell me I’m getting on and say “Anything else?” Hehe!

Inchcock – Thursday 7th February 2019: The day started off well – then got worserer and worserer, mentally and medically! Humph! Tsk!

Thursday 7th February 2019

Finnish: Torstai 7. Helmikuuta 2019

GCPram23:40hrs: Woke and tried my best to recall a dream I’d been having. About childhood and schooldays I think, I can’t recall any detail at all, but have the ‘feeling’ that I didn’t enjoy it.

The urgent call to the Porcelain Throne arrived, so I manipulated my grossly stomached body from the £300 second-hand 1968 recliner, and off to the WC. Amazingly, I had little bother getting free of the chair, standing up or hobbling to the wet room at all!

GC scowl Wd BLACK Got settled on the Throne, the evacuation took all of three seconds and was a right messy-sloppy affair. But this did not grab my attention much at the time, because the moment the movement began, Back-Pains-Brenda kicked-off around the kidney area, lower back on the right, and has stayed with me on and off all day! It feels like an intense but dull aching pain, no stabbing, just persistent while it lasts, and that varies from ten minutes to an hour or two? What next! Oy gevalt! I rubbed plenty of the Phorpain Gel into the area, but do not have a lot of faith in it doing much to relieve the situation. I dare not take any extra painkillers, cause I’m on my maximum allowed at the moment. What with Duodenal Donald, Arthur Itis’s knees and the left ankle and heel; now being joined by Brenda-Back-Pain and the kidneys. I wonder if the back pain is splanchnic? And boy, am I tired all the time lately! At least I got to book an appointment with Dr Vindla for next Thursday. I hope things don’t viliorate in the meantime. But I suspect my own senescence will be the cause of whatever this new debilitating ailment turns out to be.

Got the porcelain cleaned up and disinfected, washed the dandies, felt sorry-for-myself and went to get the Health Checks done. As like yesterday, I was getting the accoutrements gathered, and had to have a wee-wee again. Today, they seem to be of the SSNSWW (Short-Sharp-No-Sensation-Wee-wee), variety, up to now, anyway.

Back to the kitchen again.

4Thu01At least the Sys and Dia had come down a good bit. The temperature had gone up a tad. Not that I fully understand it all yet. As for the weight, I’d sooner not mention that; else it will get Sister Jane annoyed and set her off on one her ‘Shame-Inchcock-For-being-Fat-Missions’ again! Hehe!

Got the medications taken, and had to trot back to the wet room for another Porcelain Throne session. Tsk!

4Thu02Another super-quick, spurty, liquified, messy evacuation.

Checked out the pins (legs). They seemed to have far less fluid in them this morning. Still misshaped and rock hard though. And now, the left leg is bigger than the right one – opposite to yesterday. Confusing, innit?

I can see an unhappy face just above the Arthur Itis affected left knee in this photo, it even seems to have a moustashe! Can you? Hehehe!

I started to update and finalise the unhappy Wednesday blog. Got it finished and posted off and went on the WordPress Reader. Then caught up with the comments.

I caught up with Facebooking, which took a long time, a really long time with all the photos I’d missed putting on the albums. Klutz!

I gorrit done, eventually, Phew! Now I’ll get some brekkers! Had some porridge.

Got the ablutions done, and sorted out the nibbles and prizes for the Social Hour and got them in the bag.

4Thu03aWd BLACK The pins and ankle were starting to kick off again. Ah, well!

The drizzle looked threatening, but not to me, I was only going to the Social Hut today. Cause I didn’t feel all that good. Poor old thing, Hehe!

Took the black bags to the waste chute, and set off down in the lift and out onto Chestnut Walk.

4Thu04Angela was waiting to go out, I got the umbrella out and covered her as we hobbled in the rain to the hut. I turned to take a photo of Woodthorpe and the New Winwood Court and the Oberstgruppenführer Wardens new holding-cells and offices.

I got in the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights Flats, and Administration shed for the Generalleutnantess Wardens Temporary HQ, Willmott-Dixon lecture room, Sarcasm & Insult distribution area, Tenants Socialisation Shed. Rumourmongering Clinic. Telling Inchcock off Zone, Things like China crockery and pottery to be stolen from, and residents room. A good crowd today, but I with my feeling under the weather and the damned legs giving grief I was struggling. Then Dizzy Dennis joined in the ‘Let’s give Inchcock more pain’ brigade.

I feel sure I enjoyed most of the meeting, but memories are not specific. Jenny I recall was on good form, bless her. I think I left early, cause I found photographs that triggered memories in the morning.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

I got in and did two Health Checks straight away, and took the medications early, cause my EQ told me I was about to fade alertness-wise and this means memory blanks. Feeling-sorry-for-myself-Mode-Engaged. Tsk!

4Thu08I grabbed something to eat, eggs, sausages and bread with a dessert while I was still awake and aware.

I know this cause I found this photo on the SD card in the morning.

The wee-weeing seems to have stopped altogether, don’t know if that is good or bad, cause the legs are filled up and hard, still?

4Thu09I do vaguely recall taking this beautiful shot of the sky later. I think.

I fell asleep at a ridiculous time and just kept on waking up, the TV on, nodding off, waking up, nodding off, waking… well, you get the idea.

Terrible night!

I must get all this written down, to tell the Doctor about things.

Inchcock – Sat 19 Jan 2019

jan20 2019

Saturday 19th January 2019

Zulu: NgoMgqibelo 19th January 2019

23:35hrs. I sprang awake, without the brain fully engaged. I seemed to out of the recliner and in the kitchen with the wind-up torch assisting me to do the Health Checks, almost 6sat02without me realising it?

WD 0.0.255b The mind did join in with my bulbous body in activationalisationing when I dropped the torch and hit my shoulder on the cabinet in the dark when I bent down to pick it up. Tut-tut!

The BP readings were down. Good!

6sat06Needless to say, but the flickering bulb was doing its best to light itself, but it’s on its last legs now.

There is a more significant area of the tube gone brown/red, and the flickering had already brought on a Dizzy Dennis attack, that I could have done quite well without. Ah-well!

Off to the Porcelain Throne. Messy evacuation with a little bleeding on this occasion. The flickering light tube had also brought on vision problems, well, focussing. When I got on the computer, it seemed to take a bit longer for me to do things?

6sat05I uploaded the pictures taken, and found this unintentional mystery one shown on the left here on the old Sony SD card?

I made up the Thought of the day rhyme and graphic for the top of this page, using CorelDraw, and went to take the medications and make a mug of tea. The Morrison’s Assam, now one of my favourite brews.

It dawned on me that I had been up for around an hour now, and I’d only had two wee-wees! Remarkable!

Back to the computer. I found I was having difficulty, a sort of acataphasia as I started this blog off.

I got myself side-tracked for an hour or so, with updating my personal word list. Huh!

Every time I stand, this so-called bruise causes a sharp pain with every step taken. I’m still suspicious that it may be something other than a bruise. But again, it’s no foofaraw!

I went to the obnubilated kitchen, to make another brew of tea. Where I opened the window and tried to take a panoramic photo of the horizon facing me. I attempted ten 6sat07times to shoot it, but the old Sony camera kept informing me I was too slow, or shook the camera or was too quick for it to be recorded. Humph! I’ll have to but a larger tripod I can use in future.

This would have been no problem with the old windows layout. Tsk! So I took this picture. I might use it as a backdrop for a Morning Thought later on.

I started this blog off and got as far as here, then went to make a mug of tea. I used the torch again, to avoid the flickering light flashing, and avoid setting the dizzies off again.

Then I got on with finishing yesterdays Inchcock off and got it posted. Then went on to the WordPress Reader section, some good stuff on there today.

Then I considered my option in the jentacular field. I decided on a pot of porridge, and a few Scottish Highland Shortie biscuits would do me.

Beyond this point is all a blur I’m afraid.

6sat23But I did find this photo on the SD card in the morning.

I’m not sure what happened. But a memory blank for some reason?

I vaguely remember watching some TV later on I suppose.

No signs of any other meals, but tons of nibbling evidence. Tsk!

Inchcock – Fri 4 Jan 2019: A brain-foggy day

jan04b 2019

Friday 4th January 2019

Scots Gaelic: Dihaoine 4mh Faoilleach 2019

23:25hrs. wd 0.51.51 Once again, I woke up with the urgent, nae, desperate Furosemide-induced need for a painful PHBLWW (Persistent, Hosepipe-Blasting like Wee-wee). No time to make it to the wet room, I utilised the grey plastic bucket I nowadays keep handy for any nocturnal emergencies such as this. The evacuation was an extra-long one, and the splashbacks countered by my cunningly-clever ploy of placing kitchen towels over the proceedings. Smug-Mode Adopted! I have now lost all control over the process, and have to look down to see if things have stopped, as the sensation has also gone. It’s not easy, having to see down and over the mountainous stomach, you know! Oy Gevalt!

Approximately 00:05hrs. wd 0.51.51 Tapping/knocking noises were coming from somewhere above? Hope someone is not in trouble. They lasted on and off for about ten minutes or so.

I drifted into a feeling-sorry-for-Inchcock-mode. But not for long, I was stern as I chastised myself. Off I limped to the wet room for a Porcelain Throne session and had an SSPWW (Short-Sharp-Painful-Wee-wee) again as well. No bleeding from the rear, but Little Inchies Fungal lesion bled a good bit. wd 0.51.51

The ideas had grown for a humorous ode of my Thoughts, and it was the first thing I did before anything else, made up and posted the Ode off to WordPress. Taking two more PHBLWWs as I did so. But I think they are getting less in volume a bit now. The Ode link

I got the Health Checks done next.

5fri003aSys and Dia were getting gradually lower again?

wd 0.51.51 Took the medications, finding out I had missed last nights doses when I fell asleep so early. Humph! So I just imbibed one Warfarin and a painkiller with the morning ones.

wd 0.51.51 Made a brew and as I was taking it, I needed another wee-wee. Grabbed a pot and did my duty… to find that something came out with the urine that shouldn’t have. I won’t show it here, but I took a picture of it to show the doctors next week. It might be dried blood that came from the Fungal lesion? But I am not sure. I’ll keep an eye on every discharge that follows today, if it happens again, I will call the surgery or 111. I’m a bit concerned with this. Always something extra to fret about at the weekends it seems!

wd 0.51.51 Hello, I’m involuntarily passing wind now! A lot of it! Might it be due to the side-effects of the Furesomide? There are more than enough of them on the list. Hehe!

5fri004wd 0.51.51 Off to the Porcelain Throne again. The check of the water-container legs, revealed that some of the papules had disappeared and some new ones matured? Why the red scuff marks on the knees? (These took me back to my formative years and joy on the carpet? Hahahaha!)

No problems passing-wise, other than everything was accompanied by the escaping wind. I thought it was crude, but comical at the time. Apparently, the cunning Furesomide sensed the porcelain and kept me waiting sat there so long, I read a bit of the book, as I waited for the PHBLWW (Persistent, Hosepipe-Blasting like Wee-wee) to end. I feel like I could plotz!

Back to the kitchen to make another brew. Funny that is, I have a thirst like never before, just when I do not need one. Or do I? Is it part of the Furosemide make-up, so I can clear out any impurities with the fluids? You may think I am getting all disoriented, confused and mixed-up about the problem? You’d be right, too! Tsk!

Oh, how I’d love to get out for long hobble, chinwags, natterings, seeing other tellurians and feeling alive! I’m an outpatient stuck indoors, with no nurses. Just thought I’d mention it, feeling sorry for myself again. Stop-it!

5fri006Back on the computer, I looked up for things that might be causing my current additional problems. I found out that, it may be a Phosphatidylethanolamine problem. Or not. Phospholipids consist of a hydrophilic (or ‘water-loving‘) head and a hydrophobic (or ‘water-fearing’) tail. Phospholipids like to line up and arrange themselves into two parallel layers, called a phospholipid bilayer. This layer makes up your cell membranes and is critical to a cell’s ability to function. Simple isn’t it? Not a good idea to look things up on the internet, when you are as uneducated and thick as what I am. Hahaha!

Two more PHBLWWs later, I got on with updating the Thursday blog, at last. Took me longer than usual, as Dizzy Dennis was making a few appearances. During which, the Wee-wees turned into SPWWs (Sharp-Painful-Wee-wees), not so long in duration now, but still powerful jets and splashbacks.

I’d been forgetting to check the fluids in the grey bin for foreign matter. What a schmuck! I’ll scrutinise the next one.

I made a beginning of starting this post next. Between SPWWs and the never-ending drive to shove tea and water down my gullet.

Decided to get some brekkie. Into the kitchen to put a lamb burger in the oven, to have with the last of the Asda Walmart sourdough bread. If I can get my teeth through the crust, that is. When another call to the plastic bin for a wee-wee arrived, and there was no waiting, if I had not had the bowl nearby to use, the PPs would have been tested beyond their limits! A lengthy session this one was, but not so painful I think. I examined things afterwards, no signs of unwanted intruders. Phew!

5fri007I got the breakfast sorted. The knife had to be sharpened again for it to get through the sourdough bread.

I’m afraid things went to pot while I was eating the bread. The stomach churned, off to the Porcelain Throne, Little Inchies lesion was bleeding badly, stomach-cramp like pains as soon as I had evacuated. Not feeling so well now.

I threw the brekkie away and just sat down staring, as the light began to rise. I used the grey bin was utilised several times over the next hour or so of nothingness. So much so, that I had to get up to empty and clean it to use again… and again, and again…

I had a bad turn (I assume)… not really sure what took place, but I seemed to come back to reality hours later, while I was taking a wee-wee in the wet room? Without the foggiest idea of what I’d been up to. Oh dear!

5fri34The thirst and hunger were in need of satisfying.

I did some chips (Fries) and the just-out-of-date sausages, no trimmings or extras or dessert, for I still felt so tired and a little out-of-it.

Perhaps I had fallen asleep earlier?

Concentration has not been my good point today.

Tray still on my overblown belly, I fell into a deep sleep as soon as I finished the nosh. I woke hours later with the tray in the same position. Then, uninterested in activating the brain, I nodded off again… Huh!

Inchcock Today – Wed 19 Sept 2018: Porcelain Throne record attendance, and Blank Spots as I seemed to lose track of what was happening. Tsk!

Wednesday 19th September 2018

Finnish: Keskiviikko 19 Syyskuuta 2018

0135hrs: On waking up, a repetition of yesterday mornings agrypnotic activities followed: Realisation that the Porcelain Throne was crucially required.

3Wed05a Off to the wet room (Although, this morning there was no Accifauxpas or Whoopsiedangleplops en route) and a swift evacuation in almost liquid form, but a mite less messy than on Tuesday.

Seeing a few Evil ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles, far more than of late, around the wet room floor, I decided an attack was required. Cleaned up, and armed myself with the ‘Raid’ Beetle Killer spray, the camera and little pots to keep any captured weevils in to photograph them all after my, hopefully, surprise raid is successful.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

There seemed to be many more of the adult beasts today. I reckon they have been doing manoeuvres and attack training, that’s why I have seen so much less of them for the last two days? Hehe!

Everywhere got a good long blast of the ‘Raid’ Killer Spray – the can is now low in content. I must get some more when I can get out. Cough, cough, choke!

I might mention this to Nottingham City Homes, Come Dancing contestant and Cat Walk Model, Manager Oberschützeress Angela.

I added an anti-Trotsky capsule to the medication pot and took them.

I updated the Tuesday Diary and got it finished and posted off. Despite the interruptions of Liberty-Global Virgin Media Internet having many blank moments. Oy gevalt!

3Wed06 No sooner had I done this, it was hurriedly back to the Porcelain Throne! The evacuation was another liquified affair, but far less of it. The tummy started to grind away after the session again. Cleaning up took a long time.

Back to the kitchen and did the Health Checks.

3Wed10 Hello, the hiccups have started now, and this has spurred Reflux Roger to join in. Humph!

Went on to Facebooking for ages.

3Wed07 Cleaned-up, a lot better session.

3Wed10 Howling high winds coming from outside, really noisy. The new balconies seem to be making it worse? The news said: Winds of up to 80 mph could put lives at risk and disrupt travel and power supplies across parts of the the UK as Storm Ali sweeps in. “Two people have died after Storm Ali swept across parts of the British Isles, bringing winds of up to 100mph.”

Did the Health Checks.

Then on CorelDraw to make up some diary page header graphics in advance.

I seem to have gone into one of my rare, but unsettling ‘Out-of-it’ modes.

3Wed10 I came back to semi-awareness hours later. I was sat in the chair, the TV on, computer off, the small hoover and the Raid Weevil Killer spray both on my lap. Why? No idea!

3Wed08 The urgency of needing the Porcelain Throne added to my confusion, I was in a right Shemozzle. The evacuation was a little less watery at least. The brain taking its time to get a grasp on what had happened and was going on. I’d lost hours, memory-wise. Both my shoulders were hurting, well, rather, aching badly?

The winds were howling more than ever outside. I got the Health Checks done and medictions taken. Realising that the midday does pot was empty, so I must have taken them, but cannot recall doing so.

3Wed29aI think I must have been ‘out of it’ for a long time.

I had made some notes on the pad as well. Much of them unreadable.

Made a nosh of sorts, not a lot. And left most of it. Eating, was not high on my agenda it seemed.

Some blanks in my memory remained, although some things were clearly stored in the grey-cell box?

I got settled in the £300 second-hand recliner, to clear my mind, or rather to kick-start it. Hehehe!

The nodding off started straight away, minutes sleeping, springing awake, then minutes later dropping off again. Disconcerting, to say the least, especially as I had apparently had a long sleep earlier. Or did I?

3Wed09 Half-asleep, I got free from the recliner with consumate ease considering, off to the Porcelain Throne. A much better session this one, almost solid.

I honestly can’t remember getting back to the chair, but I found myself half-on, half-off of it at 0100hrs, when I sprang awake. So I got up.

It’s an odd life, sometimes.

Inchcock Today Tuesday 12th June 2018: Worst day of the year for Hassles

Tuesday 12th June 2018

Swahili: Jumanne 12 Juni 2018

0420hrs: Woke up in a right state mentally. This morning’s rampantly independent brain-box was offering only thoughts of abandonment, aggressiveness, alienation, distant and self-recrimination. Yet, at the same time, I was anxious and fearful, dreading getting something wrong or upsetting anyone? The aberrant thoughts were milling around in the tangled labyrinth of other wayward, frightening, counterfactual thoughts and those few that had any logic or relativity all resulted in suboptimal decisions or meek acceptance of failure.

These tormenting mind teasers seemed to go on for ages but actually only lambasted my grey-cells for around five minutes or so. You wouldn’t believe how pleased I was when the bubbling started in the innards turned to threats of involuntary movements, and my attention was turned to my immediate need to utilise the Porcelain Throne.

1Mon01b How I wish there were a CCTV to have recorded my grappling battle to free myself from the £300 second-hand recliner. Farcical would be the best word to describe the fight. Hehe! As soon as I began to manipulate my blubbery torso from the seat, Dizzy Dennis visited as I tried to stand up. This caused me to sway to the right, where I knocked over the waste bin, the empty (luckily) bottle of Clementine juice and the dinner tray from last night all over the carpet. I put my hand out to stop myself going further over, and the truncheon, my Margaret Thatcher squeaky-bust-toy, and the clock joined the other stuff on the carpet as my hand slid along the fire surround knocking them off of the ledge. But I did not go down on the floor. (I’m not sure how I prevented this, but it was nice to get something right for once, Hehe!) And the pain from Hippy Hilda and the knees didn’t last for too long. The bruise on elbow was no bother.

1Mon01b I took a few seconds to recover my equilibrium and went into the kitchen to get the cleaning equipment. I was pleased to see I had not left the taps running, oven turned on, or found the light turned on. Hitting my head on the side of the sink when I was getting the cleaner out, I was not so pleased with. Klutz!

By now, the need for the Porcelain Throne had got a little more urgent, so off I trudged to the wet room. The fungal lesion was bleeding profusely, no doubt my ballerina-like antics getting out of the recliner were to blame for this.  I did the evacuation and cleaned and medicated specific areas. Humph!

Back to the kitchen and did the Health checks and took the medications.

Blimey, it’s 0550hrs now, and I haven’t even got the blog started off yet. Worra muddled, messy mornin’!

I remembered then, that I forgot yesterday, to fetch the medicine that the kind Chemist had missed off of my prescriptions last week. Who I called at four days later to get the antacid and was told they had none in stock, and I must come back to collect on Monday. Life can be so tricky. Haha!

0620hrs: I made a brew and got on with doing this blog.

0710hrs: Then started to finalise yesterdays diary.

0825hrs: Ah, the Willmott-Dixon lads are up in the hoist outside now. The clanging and related noises start again. Hehehe! I went on the WordPress Reader section, the replied to a comment I’d received.

Blimey! Its gone 0900hrs already! I had to close-down and get the ablutions done. Just about to go to the wet room and the door chime rang. It was Matron Warden Deana, to check the wrist alarm with the Nottingham City Control Room. We had a short chat. Naturally, my being barred from detailing any communication between myself and any Nottingham City Homes agents, representatives or staff, by the Management, I will say no more.

I took the sorted-out bags to the waste chute on the way out to the chemist.

2Tue04Fair, clear weather outside. The workers were busy at it on the New Build flats.

Took this photo of the new build extra-care apartments in the forefront and Winchester Court the background, as I left the lobby of the flats.

2Tue03Further along Chestnut Walk, I spotted this brave battling little daisy on the battered, car flattened grass on the concreted edge of the verge.

I called into the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights, Stabsgefreiteress Warden’s Temporary HQ, WC, Willmott-Dixon workers breakfast and tea-break room, Sarcasm & Insult distribution area, Tenants Socialisationing Area, The telling Inchcock off Zone, Crockery and pottery to be stolen from, and residents room, shed. The only person in there was Big John, sat snuggly in the corner reading a newspaper or magazine. I gave a ‘Morning, John’ out to him, but heard nothing in reply. Although I’m not saying that he did not reply, just that I could not hear the gentleman noisemaker do so.

Being as no one else was in the place, I left via the door at the far end to continue my hobble to the chemist.

2Tue051Mon01b Travelling down the Winchester Street hill, I had a cracking visit from Dizzy Dennis. I had to lean against the wall for a while before I continued on.

The thoughts were a little muddled, and I cannot recall how I got there, but I was in the Co-op Store when things started to clear, thought-wise.

I’d already got a TV magazine, a carton of what I thought was orange juice (which turned out to be apple juice, that I don’t like, Humph!). I limped around and added a bottle of lemon/lime spring water and a baking potato to the basket, and paid at the self-serve checkout without incident.

2Tue06I don’t think I called anywhere else, (Another blank spot, Tsk!) but found myself at the bus stop at the top of the hill in Sherwood, waiting to catch the L9 back to the flats.

I have to admit to being worried about the increasing number of these blank-spells I’m getting lately.

1Mon01b I realised I had not been to the Carrington Chemists to collect the missing medicine, cause it was not in my shopping bag. Schlemiel!
I can call in the morning when I go for the blood test; if I remember.

The head cleared and things seemed to be back to normal; if that word can be applied to me. Haha!

Frank got on the bus at the next stop. Two stops later we were getting off at the being updated Winwood Heights flats.

I reckon I had a word with someone in the foyer on the way in.

2Tue07I got the nosh prepared very early in the day.

No computerisationing was done at all. For I felt so worn-out and drained, suddenly. But not tired as such?

I ate the fodder, washed the pots and just gave-in. Sat there in the £300 second-hand recliner and stared at the TV screen without absorbing any of the rubbish that was on it.

1Mon01b The mind went off on one of its independent roaming sessions, without any agreement or decisions being reached.

2Tue08The sleep just would not come. This mind of mine was too active, not productive. Just seemingly busy worrying about so many varied things.

I took this evening photo when I went to get a drink of clementine juice, but it had all gone. The apple juice I’d accidentally bought can be given away as a raffle prize at the Social Hour on Thursday.

Ultimately, I nodded-off around 2230hrs, I think.

1Mon01b But not for long. The telephone light flashed, and the bell thingy rang. I struggled out of the recliner and answered it. A chap with a foreign accent waffled on. It felt like he was reading from a script to me. However, I could not make out anything he was saying. I asked who he was, but the voice carried on without any break. So, I put the phone down gently.

1Mon01b Ten minutes later he was back ringing. I struggled out of the recliner and answered it. I picked up the receiver and put it down.

1Mon01b Five minutes later he was back ringing. I struggled out of the recliner and picked up the receiver and put it down. I set the ringer tone to ‘None’, thinking this would solve the issue. But No! The phone still rang, the light still flashed the same as whichever position I put the ringer selection option onto.

1Mon01b Another ten minutes or so, and he was back again. I struggled out of the recliner and pulled-put the plug from the box.

1Mon01b Then I got a message from Nottingham City Homes Monitoring Control via the Help Alarm Box. I could not hear what the voice from the box said, but it clicked in the brain and, I remembered, the Alarm System is linked to the telephone line. It must have been advising me they had lost the connection or something of that nature.

I wasn’t in the best of forms before all this unwanted telephone palaver started. Now I felt uptight, and Duodenal Donald had kicked-off.

So, I had to reconnect the phone-line, else I’d be without my lifeline.

1Mon01b Another couple of minutes or so, and he was back again. I found the flashing red light in the dark, and the annoying Brrr-brrr to much to ignore, so I  picked up the receiver and put it down again.

Anyone who knows me, would not ring me at this time of night. No medical contacts would be working this late. I assumed it was another con-call after getting into my details. A persistent little bugger this one was.

I took ages, hours and hours to get any sleep in. Then I woke up two hours later, with the need for a porcelain throne attendance. The problems found made me give up and start to update this post.

I am worried, frustrated, confused, unwell and a wee’d-off boy, now! Hehe!

TTFN all.

Inchcock Today: Thursday 7th June 2018

Thursday 7th June 2018

Scots Gaelic: Diardaoin 7mh Ògmhios 2018

0020hrs: I sprang into semi-life as if I’d had an electric shock. The mind was concentrated and determined that the laundry must get sorted straight away. Nothing was going to get in the way of my carrying out this task. It was as if my life depended upon it.

As I was getting out of the £300 second-hand recliner and looking for my slippers, a silly Churchillian Quote came into my mind “We shape our buildings; thereafter they shape us.” No wonder I’m crumbling! Hehehe!

This energetic resolution appeared to give me a new lease on life (Albeit, it didn’t last long). The ailments, despite Hernia Henry giving me a fair amount of pain, were of no concern to me.

Whoosie3W01 Looking around for the footwear and stubbing my toe on the towel airer, just didn’t bother me! Such was my Sitzfleisch and unwavering (Temporarily, fair enough) assertiveness. There was a new, unconcerned, pertinacious man in the flat 4Thu001this morning!

Then gathered the requirements and was off down to the laundry room minutes after having risen from his recliner.

I got the washing in the machine with no hassle and popped outside to take this picture of the view.

4Thu02Back up to the flat, observing that according to the Nottingham City Homes electronic display board in the lift lobby, it was 0041hrs, 11°c with light cloud outside at the moment.

Where I got the morning Health Checks done, and the medications were taken.

The readings all seemed to be fine to me. Although the Sys is continuing on a downward spiral; 155 – 151 – 149, and this time, 144.

4Thu03No signs received of any Porcelain Throne requirement as yet.

The now throbbing stubbed toe was getting a bit annoying.

At this stage of the morning, the new found gift of mental control and will-power toe withered away and the usual worrying, prevaricating, pontificating, fretting, and self-traducing returned. Along with a few of the regular ailments. Hernia Henry, Reflux Roger, and the Fungal Lesion began bothering me pain-wise, all at about the same time.

4Thu01And now my mindset, objectivity, and attitude to life returned to its usual often depressing, and singularly ever increasing confused state. Tsk!

Down to move the clobber from washer to the dryer. I noticed this sign on the Tenant’s Notice Board. Too late for me to consider it, with payment needed by the 7th May. Still, I’d only spend more money that I can’t afford to. Hehe!

4Thu06On the way back to the flat, this notice caught my eye and prompted some thoughts on the situation to burst forth. Reporting Drug Use: (Which has often been done by fellow tenants,) I notice that they no longer advise the few honest Nottinghamians left, to speak with the local or passing Police Officer. This is because, of course, there are no local or passing Police Officer left.

On all of my last four trips to Nottingham, I have not seen a single police officer. Fair enough, I did see one police car with its blues and twos on, they would likely have been running away from a gang of youths or just rushing at speed to avoid anyone who wanted to report a crime. Sarcastic stuff here! Thanks to the Government cutbacks.

4Thu05I made a start on this post, and it was soon time to go down again to collect the laundry and titivate around a bit.

I opened the washer and started to clean inside the drum. After three wipes inside the grey rubber seal, I had removed the following: Bits of eggshell, what looked like a piece of metal, and two unrecognisable items of food or waste?

4Thu07Then got the laundry out of the spinner thingy, folded up and into the bag.

Wiped the drum and cleaned out the filter.

Reflux Roger was not helping with his making me take deep breaths in.

Still, at least I know the lungs are still working. Haha!

4Thu08Up and got the togs stored away got the kettle on and had a wee-wee.

Got the computer started, and unfortunately, a Dizzy and out-of-it spell hit me. My EQ told me I was going to suffer today. I have to admit I hate it when these spells occur; I’m so out of self-control with how the mind gets its blanks, and confusion cause memory losses. Still, this one did not last long at all.

Then updated yesterday’s post and sent it off.

There I was, expecting the Morrison delivery to arrive soon, then I got this email.

Whoosie3W01 They have cancelled the delivery, due to ‘operational issues’. Oh dearie me? 4Thu09 I’ll have to try to get out for some stuff today then.

Went on Facebook to get caught up.

Got the ablutions tended to.

Got the bag and set off to the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Flats, Unterscharführeress Wardens Temporary HQ, Willmott-Dixon workers breakfast and tea-break room, Sarcasm & Insult distribution area, Tenants Socialisation, telling Inchcock off Zone, Things like crockery and pottery to be stolen from, and residents shed.

Whoosie3W01 From here on things may get a little vague and or confused in places. Sorry about this, but blank spells in the memory took place here and there for the next five hours or so.

I did meet the Willmott-Dixon boss in the lift while going down and we spoke of things I’m not permitted to repeat on my blog by Nottingham City Homes Management. I think it was arranged for someone to call at the flat at 0830hrs in the morning to finish off the kitchen window holes and gaps.

The Social Hours, I think went very well. Much laughter, ribaldry, and even singing took place. (Vague memory)

I think I went on the bus to Arnold with Margaret. Get the feeling that I was talking with Margaret and not in control, confused.

Got some belly pork from Chambers Butchers. The last thing I needed? Went to Fulton Foods and got some BBQ cooking sauces (Neither wanted or needed), and something I did need, some bottles of mineral water.

Pretty sure I met Margret again in Asda. Again, I did not buy things I needed, but many I did not need. More spring water, potato slices, mushrooms, cheese curls, a turnip, and one thing I did mean to get, a packet of oven-bottom muffins. I know this, cause I found the food and receipts when I got home and the Blanks faded. (Vague memory)

I think Margaret and I caught the bus back together. Both loaded up with her trolley and my two heavy bags of fodder.

Whoosie3W01 When we got back to the flats on the bus, Margaret had to wake me up. I do remember feeling a fool!

Can’t recall getting from the bus to the flats, but can remember saying cheerio to Margie in the lift?

I must have put the food away, cause I found it later.

There must be other stuff that I cannot recall that took place.

Health Checks were done, cause I found the results written down ready to go on the computer record.

Not sure about what happened next, but I woke up in the £300 second-hand recliner with a tray of half eaten dinner on my knee, and bits of crumbs etc. all around me, the TV was on. I panicked a bit. The first thing I did was to struggle out of the chair go and check taps, cooker etc. in case I’d left something on. All looked fine. I washed the meal pots.

I was feeling more in control now and remember most of what followed. No more blanks now.

Settled back down, turned off the TV. Then realised I had not checked in the wet room taps and sink, so got back up and did so. All clear in there. Phew!

After getting down in the recliner again, I fell asleep in almost seconds.

Woke with a heavy-head around 2230hrs. I laid there thinking through and making sketchy notes on the pad to use when I update this diary in the morning. A sudden decision was made. I will get up now and do the updating, for I feared if I left it, all the memories of the day would be lost. I found a sign over the Computer to remind me that the workman will be calling at 0830hrs about the window. I could not recall making this sign at all, but I was glad I had. Tsk!

4Thu11So I got up, had a wee-wee and made a mug of tea, got the computer going and started to update this blog.

I was about to take a photo of the evening sky and the lights coming into the kitchen and was surprised to find a picture of last nights meal on the SD card when I downloaded the card onto the computer. I must say, considering I could not remember making this meal, let alone taking a picture of it, I was impressed with how good it looked but amazed that I 4Thu10should have made such a dirty-great big plateful! And, where did I get those fresh garden peas from? Hahaha!

This daytime photograph is yet another mystery. The date on the card told me I took it today at 1350hrs. No recollection of doing so at all.

Had the Aliens, ghosts or another mysterious entity 4Thu13done it for me? Also, like the meal picture, it was of a decent quality, had I actually taken them?

The night’s lights combined with Noisy Herbert’s made a decent shot.

It suddenly dawned on me (This type of dawning does happen occasionally), why I was so fascinated and thought the shot of the 4Thu12kitchen looked so different to other times.

It was the thicker and more numerous frames with having so much light blocked out.

Had another short, sharp wee-wee, and tool last nights medications that I had missed.

I pressed on with the updating, had another wee-wee and then made another mug of tea, as the morning arrived and hopefully, the memories of such a horrendously confusing day of ‘blanks’ was naively, destined never to happen again.
