CONFUSED!

07:15hrs: The semi-reactivation of the brain began. reigned. I lay there uncomfortably in the aged, grotty-looking c1966 made, charity-shop-bought, horribly beige-coloured, £300, Harold’s Haemorrhoid-testing, non-operational, acne-giving, virus-breeding, rickety, easy-to-fall-out-of recliner… The raging, interfering with my trying to work out if it was night or day, the watch told me only the time, which could have been night or day, of course. And what day was it?
I assumed it was evening, and I’d nodded off; because the TV was on. As I fought off the to get some clarity…

sounded, and in walked , a smile on her face… Why I’m not sure, but I was now convinced it was night.
She got the medications given to me, and we had a little chat. She asked me if I’d met the new Carer. When I said, “Yes, Ty… he came this morning…” Jodie pointed out that this was the morning, and he had come last night! My bamboozlement only got worse. I should have realised by the different medications she’d given me, but I honestly can’t remember taking them now.
As we chatted, I worked out that it was well into the morning when I got to sleep, and that’s the reason I was still in a head-down mode when Jodie arrived.
I told her of the new flavour available in the thank-you-treats. The red cans I put in yesterday’s blog. Selected a cold nibble from the fridge – I’m struggling now to recall everything spoken of. I think I asked Jodie to check the taps for me when she calls, to make suite I’d not left them running, and turn them off if I had?
I did apologise for there being two big bags of waste to go to the chute, explaining that I forgot to ask Carer Ty to take them. I think we parted laughingly. Oh, and I’d unlocked the door for her to get in, either… well, I was asleep still. Haha!

Making a brew of Glengettie, I realised that I had not had, and did not feel the need, for a wee-wee. Very rare, that!

As I got the computer on, the nyaff, noisy nasty nitwit in the flat above started his tapping and banging – for hours on end! Swine!
Not that it bothered me. of course.

After a couple of hours of updating the Thursday blog, Got it now; it’s definitely a Friday today [Jodie told me]). I noted the beautiful hue of the morning, and also, it was not raining!
I took this picture from the kitchenette window.
A dramatic shade, don’t you think?
Then it came to me that in my morning confusion, I had not checked the calendar. So, I did! Just a note to remind me to make an Asda order for next Monday. So, I did! ETA 16:00 > 17:00hrs. So, Carer Richard’s treats in thanks he can have Tuesday this week.

I eventually got the updating done hours later and posted it to WordPress. Then did some Pinteresting. Then I started this template an hour. Herbert was giving it some hammer again but stopped after an hour or so… I’m anticipating that he will be kicking off again soon. (He did later!)

I don’t like this lack of sleep when it makes me get up late; it throws everything in the mind into disorder. Heavens above, it’s 13:30hrs already!

Plodded on with the blogging (And still no wee-wee taken???) for an hour or so. but got weary again and turned off everything, and got a meal done

I couldn’t eat half of this plateful. I’d made too much. I was soon fighting to stay awake.

I put the tray down, and .

Broke my moments of bliss… I awoke in utter confusion. I was certain that it was morning, and my first thought was, did I lock the door last night?  I rose and caught my balance. I did hear Bang-about Herbert start his knocking and tap-tapping again as began to walk to the door to check if the Carer was locked out or not. From somewhere in my head, something told me this just can’t be… a doubt, nagging at me…

appeared just as I was doubting my earlier assessment of the day and time. He clarified it was Friday evening. Not Saturday morning for me. et doubts still lingered. This was, and is, a worrying concern for me!

Jozeph was understanding of my haziness. Sorted the medications and listened to them while I explained what the effects that can and are doing to my sanity. Not moaning; I was just explaining. But not fully understanding my present plight myself.
I insisted on his selecting a can of his choice and some nibbles for my keeping him from his own bed. As I said, he was patient & understanding toward me. This in itself cheered me a little, knowing that someone cared enough to listen. And the lad must have been tired out himself at the end of his shift. He’s in the mould of Carer Richard.

As I hobbled with him to the door to lock it after him, I spotted the bag of rat food I’d bought from Wilko, in mistake for bird food, and mentioned this whoopsiedangleplop to Jozeph. Turns out that he has a pet rat at home. I gave him the bag of food to use, I felt better after doing so, and it cheered up one tired Carer. Me, and hopefully, it will satisfy the taste buds of one pet rat. Haha! Should I remember, I’ll ask him the name of his rat on his next call.

After writing this, I had to check that I did lock the door… thus the kicked in. I checked the taps in the wet room and kitchen. Stove, fridge & freezer doors, and even checked the door another time!

What a nitwit!

I espied the last of the sunset when I checked the kitchenette out for any disasters.
I got the Lumix camera and, on the SCN setting, chose the Night View option.
Not too bad, I suppose. Trouble is nowadays with the three optical ailments, , the dreaded and also , I can never be certain if photos, graphics and things are right or not, good or bad, pathetic, or a shambles!

Hello… I sense a warm wetness in the front of my diapers… I mean protection pants! Hehehe!
acci-whoop I went to the wet room to investigate. At first, I thought it was going to be poor Little Inchies , and fear of applying the stinging, painful Daktacort ointment sank my spirits. This is one medication that is always an agony to use!

But No! for it being just the lasered bladder that had passed a little … but without informing me that I needed a wee-wee! It does that sometimes, since the cancer-lasering. It got more frequent after the stroke. I only get embarrassed, not angry, about this ailment; after all, Bladder Belinda has lostrd of her storage capacity. At least it wasn’t blooded this time. (As it would have been if the Fungal-lesion had burst again!) Had a clean-up, got a new pair of Depend protection pants on, jammies back on, and back to the computer; feeling pretty good, really. I wish now that I’d had a shave while in there.

Those American PPs contained most of the escaping wee-wee. There are so reliable! Oh, dear, should I have risked saying that? Haha!

I got carried away with creating the Ode. Made a mess of it, and my concentration shot again. Errors after mistakes and  Mind-Blanks!

It’s almost 01:00hrs already!

Cheers, all! Have a great day!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

I actually got some sleep last night. I admit, not a lot, but the sleep lasted more than for the last three nights put together – 5-hours!
I woke around 05:30hrs, and after pondering over what day it was and what needed to be tended to… out of the blue grew! I was sure that something favourite suspected, , was my most regularly committed one, of leaving a hot water tap running.

If anyone was taking a video or filming in the flat for the next ten minutes or so. They would have captured enough comedy material to sell a series of comedy sketches to a TV channel! Of course, it’s all just everyday life to me! Here’s how I remember it going:

❶ Flapped about to get free of the recliner, and instead of getting up on my feet, my bum hit the chair, then the carpet. Bump Bumped! But this only delayed me for a minute. Somehow I got up on my pins within seconds? (Or, did I) I soon regained a modicum of control in my mission to check every room.
❷ Even though I could feel and sense the blood coming from Harold’s Haemorrhoids, I had to do these checks; whatever happened!
❸ Into the kitchenette, all the usual checks, windows, oven, stove, microwave, slow cooker and the taps (faucets). All clear there…
❹ Checked the front door, which was locked as it should be. I did unlock it then, as with getting up late, there is a possibility of the Carer arriving early.
❺ Into the wet room – I gave the door frame a shoulder charge as I went in – Luckily though, and for the first time ever, I hit my left shoulder on the door – thus, I avoided waking up or disturbing or damaging the right Covid booster arm, by clouting the right shoulder. Having semi-satisfied , you can never guarantee this fully; I returned to the front room to get my clothes on and get the brain running.
Brian Ricks, Charlie Chaplin and Del Boy to have performed what happened as I got the trousers on, any better than I did. Of course, for them to do it, needed a script, but my performance and facial expression needed no acting. Again though, to be fair, I couldn’t see my face; bewilderment, I imagine, is one word anyone seeing it might happen to use. Here’s the rundown as best as I can explain it:
❼ I got the trews on and knew I would get the ablutions done next and medicate the poor . I quickly pulled the belt to close the buckle – (bearing in mind these belts were only bought 3 or 4 weeks ago from Amazon). The buckle shot off, hitting the computer screen at the other end of the room, and the perfect trouser drop (Comedy-wise) was performed! I later found the buckle pin, three rivets and an unidentified metal ring on the floor.
❽ The belt itself fell limply to the floor, hitting a !

This ended any of my enjoyment of or seeing the funny side of the occasion. And not a soul, other than me, to see the happening. It just doesn’t seem fair to me! I could have had a belated career as a comedy writer! Humph! Mind you, with my blog followers list being so high, I should be content. They both occasionally email me.
To the wet room next. , Teggies, teeth, and then shaving. Kept down to just two mini-ones. Then under the shower. After today’s start with the trousers, somehow, I enjoyed the unrushed showering session greatly. Oh, and the showering, I kid you not, was free!

I fear something of a mind-blank happened here!
When the memory returned, complete with the ‘brain-freeze’ results. I was in the right predicament because I did not know what I was doing on the computer in the slightest. I’d got the Blog open, CorelDraw, the Ode Writer on Word, the calendar and WordHippo all open! Something I never do; is open so many programmes, but there you are… as lost as I am, presumably.
On the memory pad on the side of the computer, it said, “Took photos”

Which I show here on the left. Apart from the fact that they obviously made bad efforts at photography, I can tell you nothing.

Ah, the next line, which may or not be helpful, says, ‘ Inspired?

It also appears that Carer Sam had been, and we had a chat and a laugh. And the Pentac bottle dose-pot, I found wet on the kitchen draining board. So I knew she’s been, I looked up, on the Meridian record folder. I can’t remember washing it, so I assume Sam did it for me? A vague memory of walking her to the front door and wishing well as she took the waste bag with her?
Aha, I vaguely remember doing this line. Took a photo of the flats in town, then zoomed in to take a close-up of the block. No reason why I did this on the pad.

I assume something witty, clever or interesting must have come into my mind? (They do that sometimes, you know – the last time was about 1966).

Found a note written on the wrong pad, and I realised it was for today, but only when I read it: Four visits to the Porcelain Throne in three hours! I bet I bored Carer Sam with that bit of news? Hahaha! Maybe not. Sorry the mind-blank to the memory away, now.

And after doing the checks again, I set about sorting out what it was I was up to with the computer. It must have taken me hours to get sorted… Well, partly understood. Then I got the Friday blog finished and posted off. By then, it was about 14:00hrs!

Pretty confused and not totally content with the mind-blanks increasing. Glad I’ve got the face-to-face with Dr Vindla coming up on Tuesday morning. I shall try to be a bit pushier when telling her the facts of what I’m going through. It will be interesting to see what she says, and I might learn if she is ignoring was worries, as it seems to be to me. But of course, as I am nowadays, I just don’t know.

The was Kylie who arrived, and she got the medications sorted. She was in a hurry, but she kindly read the first part of this blog about the trousers and said it read hilariously and that I should show it to the other Carers. Hehehe! That cheered me up magnificently! She took the bin bag with her as she left, and I clearly remember locking the door.

Oh, better do them, belatedly…

I finally got on with creating this blog – sounds so easy, doesn’t it? But, no!
. What did I do? I’ll tell yers! I’d made a base template for Sunday, and I started this blog on that one! I even got confused when copying and pasting to the right post – and had to start afresh again! However annoying as this was, I handled it with more aplomb than the earlier cock-ups; because I’d cheered up since Chloe’s visit. I hope I’ve not got the Carers’ names mixed up? Worrying about this is all part of the attention from . The never existed until after Doreen started calling. The Memory-Blanks, either. If, and I’m not saying I expect, the Doctor ignores the signs again, I shall have to swap Doctors. Although, there is nothing to indicate a different quack will be any more interested in listening than Dr Vindla, either. Rambling on again there, sorry!

Well, with all the farcical events today, it is already four hours beyond my usual Shut-Eye time! And I’ve not had anything to eat yet. I shall have to get something quick and get my head down.

Oh, blimey, I’ve just remembered the mushrooms that I put in the slow cooker – around 15 hours ago!

I took the top photo just after putting them in the bowl. I’ll go to photograph what they look like now… back in a bit…
I hope.

The bottom two I’ve just taken.

Shrunk a bit, haven’t they? Hehehe!

I had a job prising the mushrooms out of the porcelain bowl of the slow cooker. The scalded finger will heal. I had to manually pull most of them out, but it wasn’t worth the pain and effort. Still, if I need something leather-like to mend any holes in my shoes, I’m already set up?
So, no mushrooms with the rice tonight, fair enough. I get the meal made mushroomless, of course, and catch up in the morning in the event that I wake up, of course.
TTFN.
Sunday AM, late, very late, updated this blog.
Found this email from Amazon. Checked on the tracker, and it’s not yet dispatched.
Made the most belated meal; BBQ rice (microwaveable), with 7-Mediterranian roasted vegetable sauce heated in the saucepan. A lemon yoghourt. and got settled. No mushrooms, of course!

I was going to have the last two microwave sausages; I even put them on top of the microwave to remind myself. As far as I know, they are still there.

Yet again, Sweet Morpheus was reluctant to permit to nod off. Even putting the TV on didn’t help. It must have been four hours before sleep came – then it was another load of weird dreams with it. Humph!

The Stigma of Dementia stinks!

As Bob Monkhouse used to say in the ‘Golden Shot’ – up a bit!

.
Taken from the balcony.

Prepping Josie’s nosh.

Carer Rihanna called.♥.

Hours updating blog. Kept nipping to check on Josie’s bean chillies cooking in the kitchenette.

Final tasting and titivating session.
I think I made the potato cubes too big.
They were not cooked at the same time as the
other ingredients. So I had to give them a further
fifteen minutes. Then stirred, tested and added the
soya bacon bits to marinate and to give it a flavour as
Josie likes. I forgot to take a photo of the meal.
Cragknangles!

Josie pointed out that I was three minutes late in delivering the
meal. With a smile on her face! Hehehe!
Then she gave me three bananas in thanks for the meal.
I thanked her.
The fruit was a bit battered about and bruised inside.
No problem with that; I bet a pound to a penny she
bought them days ago and either tried to give them to me
when I was out at the chemist or diabetes course, and she
forgot all about them! I have great sympathy with my
fellow / fellowesses who suffer from Dementia.
Memory-Blanks, and Mind-Confusions. That’s me
all over. Hehe! Lovely of Josie to try. ♥

Josie!

Late afternoon, as I was making a mug of
Glengettie tea, I spotted actually heard a dog that
was barking; 12-floors down, outside, and through the open
kitchen window. I had a look down in the bottom field.
The couple’s little black dog caught my attention.
She or he was barking madly, but with glee, as
they threw, and the tail-wagging puppy was tireless in
chasing and returning the ball.
The tiny dog got partly lost in the long grass in the picture.

Rihanna arrived. Sorted the medications,
and we had a little natter & laugh. ♥

..
SETTLED DOWN TO EAT MY NOSH!

I’d just taken this photo and sat down with the tray on my knee
to tuck into it and chimed out.
Aha, my favourite gal in the block had been. She’s left a bag
of home-grown tomatoes for me on the floor outside the
door; Bless Her Cotton Socks! ♥
Believe me, these are the best-tasting tomatoes I’ve ever had!
I swiftly slices some up and added them to my plate!
Back down in the c1968 recliner, and the landline rang.
It was Jenny saying these gorgeous tomatoes were definitely
the last of the season. I thanked her profusely.
How kind of her! I’d got bits for her and Frank and Nora, I
must take them to her tomorrow. Just look at this photo of
fruits I took later. Superb flavour!
Bootiful!
It mattered not that the meal had gone cold while I was faffing
about. Just having these tomatoes on the plate was
enough for me to give it an 8.2/10 Taste-Rating!

.
I put the tray on the Carers table, and I drifted off into what I thought
had been hours of deep sleep. But, no! Shone the torch on the clock
and went into semi mode! It was 07:45hrs!
(Well, I thought it was at the time). The Carer is overdue… I’ve not had a
wash-up… alright if it’s going to be Richard, but he is not forced
to be the one to come… Then I got up and went to do the washing
up of the pots and get the kettle on. Taking these photographs of what I foolishly thought were early morning views…

The first one came out really well, selecting the Night View Mode on the Lumix Camera, for all of these efforts. I was gratified with the first try

In the second and third pictures that were taken. How can I say this?
Erm… Were they both rubbish?
Mind you, as modern art changes, modern photography might?

Maybe a pile of bricks buying Tate Gallery might show an interest in these failures? What do you think I could charge them? 50p each; Too much?

In this mode of shooting, I only needed to keep the Lumix dead-still
for three-seconds.
As you can see, if either
or

Decide to have a go; there’s no chance of a decent photo being produced! Even if
starts, she can shake
the whole torso with her blasts, stabs and pains.
However, the last try went a little better.

The penny dropped then.
It was not morning at all. And I worked out that I’d only been asleep for about two hours at the most; It was still evening! My already confused mind almost burst out of the skull – well, it felt like it was trying to!
I felt such a fool!

So, I got on with updating this blog.
23:00hrs; I thought I’d get the day late, shave, get the teggies done,
medicationalisationings and stand-up wash.
It’s too late to use the shower.
I’ll be back in a bit if I don’t fall asleep shaving. Tsk!

Monday Morning Updating:
Well, the stand-up wash went fairly well. No gums bleeding. No
teeth breaking. Nor , or the involuntary dance routines,
, ,
either. So the was just the one. And the
Went along; not too bad at all.

I got the night attire adorned and clambered into the second-hand, £300, charity shop bought, crumb-retaining, microorganism-microbe producing, grungy, moth-eaten, beige-coloured, non-working, incommodious, Haemorrhoid Harold testing, c1968 recliner, in search and hopes of finding
and joining . But No!
So, I got a Sherlock Holmes TV DVD on and watched two episodes
without any danger of my falling asleep. I think I was onto the third
when I drifted off. Better late than never!

NEMO MORTALIUM OMNIBUS HORIS SAPIT

Saturday Diary & Ode: 17th September 2022

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
To my cyber-buddy and fellow none-fitter-innerer Billumski!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

I think I had more sleep last night than I have in any week! Sadly, it was all in bits and pieces, broken by being woken and my habit of straying off doing things after I’d needed one of the several wee-wees. Also, some persistent Thought-Storms of an aggressive nature.

But I returned to the doubtful comfort of the £300, bought eight years ago from the second-hand shop, Harold Haemorrhoid testing, repugnantly beige-coloured, crumb containing, virus-breeding, acne-giving, rickety, none-working recliner; after each hobble about, or moving things around for no reason, and rearranging of a food cupboard. Why? I anticipate finding other things that I may well have done in my noctambulations later on.

I lay there, pondering over this and that, and anything and the bowels decided to try and evacuate the inner product of its own accord… There followed a sequence of events that were events that were worthy of the Comedy Sketch of a Year Award. I thank heavens there are no CCTV cameras in this flat!

①: I fumbled and bumbled my way up onto my feet; crumbs, the TV remote and a part-eaten packet of pistachio nuts hit the floor and spread all over the carpet..
②: No time for the waking-up to catch my balance routine, I grabbed Metal-Micky, and on the first imitation step, I found one of the pistachio nuts with my left foot.
③: So, as I crumpled onto the floor, my right knee found another escaped Pistachio nut!
④: I went through some pain getting up again, and was only concerned at that moment with getting to the in time… The narrow hallway walls sustain me getting into the wet room, for Metal Micky was laying somewhere in the front room wherever it was, I’d dropped him in the tumble.
⑤: The fight to get the pyjamas down delayed me and caused more panic; I tore them, in the end, to get them down quicker…
⑥: To no avail, I fear! The bladder and bowels won this one! They both started before my bum got down on the plastic .
⑦: At least things were over quickly, but they left me with I don’t know how long to put right and clean up the wet room, then the exit points had to be cleaned and medicated. Fortunately, I keep a supply of the PPs and large kitchen towels with the Germolene and Germolids to hand in the wet room. Along with the aftershave and plasters to steady any shaving cuts or leaks from Little Inchies Fungal Lesion while I’m doing the ablutions.

I can’t understand why now; no doubt it made sense at the time, but I felt a little smug at coping with these embarrassments and decided to get the done while I was in there.
The right knee was not in good shape after its attack on the Pistachio nut earlier. Hehe! in shaving, left me using the plasters and the aftershave to stop the bleeding! Little Inchies Lesion was not leaking; all were okay!   Oh, and the hair at the lower back of the head come neck is definitely growing again – white! I shaved it off.
After getting things all sorted, new PPs and socks (that were a hell of a job to get them on!) on, The right knee was now very tender!  I packed the affected PPs in the disposal bag and returned to get Metal Micky from the recliner room…
When I got back in the room, I thought I’d had burglars! I’d cleared the shelf above the electric fire of all the rubbish, and that had joined the crumbs and food on the carpet! Making it worse, a bottle of disinfectant I keep there for the wee-wee bucket had lost its cap when it got knocked over!
I’d also like to know how I managed to get Metal Micky left right in the corner her the bookcase? I think it would a physical impossibility, surely? Anyway, it was hard enough trying to retrieve it; I had to climb over the many fallen object to get to it – so I used the long picker-upperer. Cunning that, I thought!
I got Micky back with the stick and was almost on the verge of congratulating myself as I turned around and against the shredder. Another flipping moment!

I stopped doing everything. And mountaineered my way to the recliner, resisting crying, and just sat down and spoke to myself as calmly as I could… “This is not a good start. Fair enough, the bladder and bowels are out of your control, as are your fingers, feet, legs, shoulder etc… no good getting depressed, mate; it’s just how it is. What you need is some help when things like this happen. I agreed with myself, called myself a pratt, and did my belated balance exercise.
At this point, I noticed the clock… that was on the floor with all the other jetsam and flotsam – I checked with my watch, and they both indicated it was only 04:30hrs! Christ, what time did I get up then?

I swore to take things calmly from here on today. And tackled the mammoth job of cleaning and sorting things out in the room. I’m not saying I didn’t have a few moments of self-pity cause I did feel sorry for myself once or twice. But found the determination to just press on with the sorting. No rushing, doing it quietly. I got something out of it at the end of the task, I’d got three waste bags full of rubbish to go to the chute. Hahaha! Somehow or other, I perked up a smidgeon, too! It was well gone eight O’clock by the time I’d sorted the mess. Then I made a prayer for it not to happen again for a while, please.

It then dawned on me… the Morning Carer had not been yet? Quick as a flash, I realised it was a Saturday, so no fretting. Meridian was very late arriving last Saturday as well. They do have trouble getting staff at the weekend, it seems. Moments later, a call came in through the landline, and it was from Meridian.
The lady told me that the Carer was outside and could not get in. I took it as she was outside the building and told her to press the intercom 72 and I could let her in… then I thought I’d better check, and I inquired if she was outside the door or the flats? But the lady did not know. I said I’d get my walking stick and go have a look. Got the Wooden Wilmer stick, and I went to the door.
The Carer was outside of the flat door, complaining because she could not get the key lock code to work. I smiled gently, using one of my calming half-smiles, and told her I can’t either! And broke into a broad grin. That did it, I think; I caught her heart!   Hahaha! I explained that the door was not locked; sometimes, I forget to unlock it, but not often. If she presses this button, pointing out the door chime, I will hear it, but not anyone knocking on the door. I’m deaf, senile and decrepit, but that can’t be helped. She did larf! I liked her straight away.

Her name was Sinead, not seen before. I think she was from another assignment somewhere else; that’s why she was late, getting me added to her list. Nice gal, we had a little chinwag. She said she’d come again if she got the chance.

Well, I’ve still not done the Health Checks yet, better get them done. The last time I did them later in the day, the figures were down, so here’s hoping.

Well, that didn’t help much, doing it late, did it? Ah, well, as a part of my commitment to resist swearing, feeling sorry for myself and keeping calm, all I can say is: Hey-Ho!

Time to sort out something for dinner; no bother making up my mind today; I’ve a fancy for some chips and a veggie burger! The chips are oven ones that claim to be vegan. looking forward to trying them.
and Yet again, the photo I took of the meal has evaporated into the ether! I’d love to know how this happens; cause I took a look at it after shooting it and was pleased with the result. Come the morning, when I uploaded the last few photographs, there it was gone! Grrr!
The chips looked very tattie and were thick-skinned, but I did enjoy them all the same. Taste-Rating: 6.5/10.

Arrived, it was Sharon; I knew her name the second she told me after I asked her what it was! (Dementia Doreen again!) She didn’t stay long, but we managed a mini-natter before she chose her treats and departed.

Washed the pots, locked the door and a rinse, and made for the warmth of the rickety c1966 recliner. I feared that I may not be able to get back to sleep and put the telly on… but could I find anything worth watching? No!
I mused over which DVD to watch. Whilst doing so, I drifted off into Sweet Morpheus’ land… Nice!

Two hours later, I woke in desperate need of a wee-wee! The memories of this morning’s facial, embarrassing and painful events came flooding back.
Would I make it to the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee-Bucket) in time without any more Accifauxpas? again, but I got things flowing without any disasters.
Stopping it flowing was the problem! The went on and on… I was almost tired out by the time it ended. Hehehe! I did have a mini during the leaking, but it only lasted for seconds – !

I felt the warm wet sensation when I pulled up the PPs. So, off I limped with Metal Micky to change the pants and clean up.
As I entered the wet room,
I stubbed my toe against the vicious, blood and bruise-bringing, metal, agony-to-use, brutal
!
I’m sure she had moved from this morning; I thought I’d put her safely out of the way behind the mop bucket… I’m sure I did! Now, she was near the sink? Obviously, the work of the mysteries of Winwood Heights, the ghosts, wraiths, spectres, cacodemons, apparitions and other grotesqueries haunt the hallways and lobbies, searching for Inchcock, to create ambiguities, abstrucities, perplexities, misfortunes and botherations, to scare. worry and confuse me! Or maybe .

That was the end of any thoughts of getting back to sleep again!

06:30: Up later than planned, hoping the J Sainsbury order, which was due twixt 06:00 > 20:00hrs, had not been, and I’d not heard them. I meandered wobbly into the kitchenette and took these photos of the view.
I took the one on the right through the bottom window. It had been raining but was just stopping now.
The houses looked reasonably wet, I could not see the roadways clearly enough. So I used the camera to zoom in to have a look at Cavendish Road, or Close, or Street, or whatever. Hehe!
I was not exactly soaking wet, more severely damp.
I stripped off to get the ablutions tended to, and the left wrist looked terribly swollen and blotchy. No idea why; it itched but did not hurt at all. I got in the bathroom and realised that I had only got two pairs of my smaller American-made Nappies… I mean Protection Pants, left! I had the best of them all, the Tena, but they are not suitable for going out in, they are so bulky, they show through the trousers, but ace at coping with any leakages! So, I ordered some of the American Depend ones from Amazon. Sod the cost, I got a multipack to last me for a month at least. Likely even longer cause, as I say, the Depend ones are not used other than when someone is visiting, or I go to the hospital or as it happens tomorrow to the Doctors. Not a lot of people can say that! Hehehe! Got the ablutions sorted out.

J Sainbury sent me an email about the order due today.
As you can see, they continue to be short of various foods, like bread, nuts, and veggie products.
They also sent a tray of ‘Fresh’ Parmentier potatoes that showed on the pack it arrived today as the last use-by date!
What’s the Sainsbury slogan? Sainsbury’s, making life taste better!
Yes…
I’m sure!

Arrived while I was bending down to pick up some bits I’d dropped, putting them in the wast bag. He fetched the picker-upper, handed it to me, and told me off for not using it. Hehe!
Pillock! I lost it again and thought for some reason that I was going to the Doctor’s today, not tomorrow. And although Richard wanted to get away, I asked him if he could go through the things I need to remember to tell the doctor about. Obligingly he did. But rushed off afterwards – Whoosh! He still took the bags to the chute for me. Bless him. Moments afterwards, I realised my cock-up; I did feel like a right proper fool!

Oh, Susan chimed out ♫ It was my precious Nurse Hristina, come to take the Warfarin INR test blood. She is an Angel. I managed to have a natter with her this time. So, that made up for Richard having to shoot off early. A sweetheart, remind me of HRH. ♥ Of course, she fancies me so much!

As Hristina went, the Sainsbury man arrived. This chap usually does not squash the soft stuff at the bottom of the boxes… but not today. I cheered up a smidgeon when I got the boxes into the kitchen, and I spotted something in the left carton… Germoloid Cream!
What a sight, I could feel pain from easing just looking at it. Har-Har!
Not cheap, as the Protection Pants I’ve ordered, but both are sort of vital to me.
I placed it in the usual place in the wet room, safely in view, where I knew I can find it when needed… which was now! But the food needed storing away first. You can just see the crushed cakes, almost out-of-date Parmentier potatoes? Along with orange desserts, disinfectant, orange cordial, cheesy Idaho potatoes and Richards beef slices, I always get him a pack or two each week. He’s a good lad.
Here are the baked bean pasties, freshly podded garden peas I bet the bank manager can’t afford these, well, I can’t, but they are delicious) Yellow and red tomatoes, ordered before Jenny gave me some, strawberries for Warden and Table-Top Dancer, Deana if I ever get to see her again, and sliced potatoes.
The fridge has never been fuller, and I think I’ve got another order coming later in the week, I think… maybe. Perhaps?

A bit of bad luck here; hard to believe, I know! I was taking the waste bags and boxes back to the front door and had a spot bother with a , only of a few seconds, but enough to have me over this time. The bags and boxes I was carrying prevented me from using the walls as support. Shook me for a minute or two. But all okay when I got back up, apart from a leg on the airer that I fell on, Gorilla tape to the rescue. A minuscule scratch and an even smaller bruise on the right knee. All goodski!

♫ Oh, Susana ♫ chimed up again. It was the Amazon long Diabetic socks arriving, with the Organic Hemp Capsules, Hemp and Lemon Balm. A bigger bag this time, not in a tub, but three times as many

They seem bigger to me as well. And, they work out cheaper. Plus, of course, they will last longer. On a rare winner here, I think! But I’m not going into a
Well, knowing my luck, Hehehe!

I gave the socks a good check-over. I have to admit they seem strong enough and long enough to me. All ready for the winter months!

I very belatedly got the Sunday blog finished and sent off. Busy day up to now; I don’t think I’ve ever been so late in posting one off to WordPress. Obviously, this means another stay-up-late job to get this one started. Just when I needed to get the sleep in to be prepared for the Doctor’s tut-tutting and ignoring me in the morning’s appointment.

I’ve not done the darned yet! I’d better get them sorted, then.
Just look at the results! They tell me to take these Blood Pressure readings in the morning, but taking them tonight – and I got the best ever results!
I AM IN THE GREEN!!!

Happiness, Happiness…
Great, a definite upgrade to a Class One – Grade A, Super Class One upgrade! There’s a chance I may regret saying that!

♫ Oh, Susana ♫ burst forth from the door chime. Jodie called. Nice to see her again; we had a little chinwag and laugh after she’d tended to my needs. (Ahem!) A special thank you treat & choice of cold drink.

Then, I went to put the kettle on. A habit of mine; the same as finding the mug of tea I made hours ago on the counter and stone cold! Getting late now. This photo of the dying sun was taken. I got this decentish shot on the first try. It had to happen sometime! Hehe!

At last, I got around to doing some work on this blog. I was doing well… until the two little fingers started dancing about of their own accord! I nearly dropped the camera taking this photograph of little monkeys!
It was impossible to type safely while they were wallowing all over the place, so I gave up until they stopped dancing.

Then, ♫ Oh, Susana ♫ burst forth yet again! A little late for a caller? I opened the door, and there was Jenny’s hubby Frank. A nicer bloke does not exist! He was returning the tablets that I gave to Jenny yesterday. Just one used. A note with them from Jenny: Said they did not agree with her at all. Poor gal was sick and unsteady, then fell asleep for four hours.
I wanted to call her on the landline but thought better of it in case it disturbed her. Poor Jenny. So I sent an email of condolences at her predicament. Not that would help her. Typing that was fun.

Off to put the oven on, ready for the now past-the-sell-by-date Parmentier potatoes that J Sainsbury delivered yesterday. (It is Friday morning now!) Not that the folks around here would know, lights still showing in all the houses. Have I lost it again, timewise? I took another photo of the multitude of household lights. The flippy photo disappeared from the SD card again! So much for bragging about the last photo I took. Humph! Big-Gob strikes again.

I’ll put the photo of the meal on tomorrow. He’s say’s full of confidence!

Hope I don’t get up late, must get things done for the Doctors visit. So the blog may be even later… Fed-up!

Cheers, all!

Opening Political Cartoon
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

I woke up and was on my way to the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee-Bucket) within 30-seconds of stirring back into ersatz life! With managing to almost fall out of the £300, second-hand, c1968, charity shop-bought, eyesorely-horrendously grungy coloured, Harold Haemorrhoid-testing, easily-falloutable from, unfit-for-use, not working, recliner last night. I don’t know how I didn’t lose contact with the Amazon-bought, uncomfortable, plastic-peeling-off-of swivel chair! Hahaha! Yes, I’d fallen asleep at the computer!

The wee-wee was of the variety of UTD (Unwilling-Trickling-Dribbling) and CM (Cessational-Micturitional dribbling). The after-dribble after the initial wee-wee, possibly tool three times longer!
As I turned back with the bucket to be emptied held in my hands, I stubbed my toe against the ottoman! My reaction to saving the bucket from being dropped; was nothing short of a miracle. I dropped it, but not from a great height, and the liquid stayed in the bucket. Naturally, as the pain shot up the leg to the brain, I merely laughed it off. No cursing whatsoever.

I got the bucket emptied, sanitised and disinfected, and got on with the task of sphygmomanometerisationing.
I was jolly-well pleased with the Blood

Pressure figures. I put them in the medical site’s programme and returned this descriptive graph. I remembered that the Riverside Diabetes meeting for today had been cancelled as I was doing the readings.
I added my graphics to it in the name of entertainment… and because I love making them for a bit of fun.
After four days in the red zone, one day nearly of-off the graph: Things seem much improved today. Back in the amber area, that’s where I like it to be as well. Although two years ago, I had one day in the green Zone. Yes! That’s been my target ever since! If I live long enough, I might achieve this.

Aha! My spirits rose enormously! This morning’s Carer was Carol-Anne! Not seen her for months, many months. I thought she’d left to be honest.
What a precious gal. I had to give her a kiss and cuddle on her arrival. Carole didn’t mind, bless her. She spoke of the extra hour on Fridays, not having been since it was so-called arranged. I explained: It was initially for the Carer to do the laundry. But sometimes the laundry would come back not dried, and the clothing wrinkly. Also, I had not had socks, bobble hats, and shirts returned. Conversely, I have made a hand towel, tea towel, and pair of ladies’ knickers. I’m still paying for the hour, even though I’m paying Esther to do the laundry. She does a good job, and Esther hangs up the trews and shirts for me. Also as well as and besides that, she sews missing buttons on for me. Carol and I had an excellent nattering session, mostly me bemoaning my plight with the Diabetes, PN and Doctors farce. As I was paying for the hour, she lent me an ear. Hehehe! She checked the dates on the stuff in the fridge for me, cheese and ready meal found out of date. She will talk with my Doctor for me when she gets back to work. Carol has a few days off, going with her Mum away for a while. Great! She had to rush off after the hour, another call to make.

I spent many hours on CorelDraw before getting onto the blogging. Most of it was accompanied by Herbert’s mechanical concert from above. Percussion and drums mostly, with an odd clunk, throw in for good measure.

It was well into the afternoon before I started the daily ode and cartoon-creating. But I love doing the blog. Sometimes my hoard of followers and fans comment on them, you know. Why, on one day, only last month, both of them did!

That took a while too. Better get summat to eat before the evening carer arrives. Now then, what’s in the fridge freezer to have? I shall investigate… hang on; I’ve got some potatoes already on the boil.

Hang on, I’ve got to get the Warfarin tablets cut. So, I will do that. All done!
I’ll get a meal of some sort sorted out. Potatoes, tomatoes, and pretend fish sticks, it looks like. Good job. I’ve got the JS order coming on Sunday. It’s looking bare in the fridge after throwing away the short and out-of-date food. Tsk!

I’ll have a rummage around to see what can be found. To make a decent meal… Doreen makes me feel a schlemiel!

Well, I managed to knock up a half-acceptable-looking plate of fodder.
Imitation fish sticks, crispy onions, tomatoes, gherkins and those terribly-tasteless so-called by J Sainsbury, new potatoes. The overall flavour score was 6.4/10. The tomatoes and pretend fish sticks were not bad.

Arrived late, into that it mattered to me. Two Carers, one presumably a trainee. I was in a half-daze from being rudely awakened (Haha!), so I cannot say who it was that came or what happened. I recall telling them to help themselves to a treat on the top of the bookcase. Then walking to the door with them to lock it and wishing them well.

After that, I got down in the recliner again and started to watch the end of the heartbeat programme. I and my nodding off again. I woke for a wee-wee with a mammoth amount of

Back to the TV, nodded off again, and woke for another wee-wee! With the regulation .

Fell asleep again and woke up with the Dirty Harry film being shown; it was just starting. I decided to try and enjoy viewing it and bugger the sleeping. Ah, I like Clint Eastwood films.

At least another ten or twelve times and had to have four more wee-wees.

Woke up with the film credits scrolling down the screen! Well, that was Farcical!

I was worn out by then.
One final wee-wee with , and off to the wet room to clean and freshen up. Changed into new PPs, of course.
Straight off into the land of nod when got down again.
Overnight, I had to force myself awake eight more times for a wee-wee! Each one was short and sharp. Thankfully there were no more leakages, seepages or in these ones.

What an Oddlimost day!

ENDING POLITICAL CARTOON

The VAT Fiddle! Ode & Cartoons

It took seven years, to get sorted. How can the morons expect me to be in debt for VAT, with about 0.6% VATables of the total sales of £900 weekly, and demand £19k from me… well!

Gits!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

I woke with a new papule!

So, here are a few photos I managed to take miraculously… Boring noshes, one taken today… after which the Lumix decided to not let me take anymore, just when I was almost getting excited and thinking I’d cracked it! Frustration grows! What have I done it?

Sunday – Josies Nosh

Incidentally, after serving up Josie’s and eating my own lunch, I suddenly felt so tired. I was feeling fine before this. Then had a mind-blank and was incapable of doing virtually anything. Didn’t touch the computer for about 15 hours! Until this morning. Mind you, I woke up feeling back to normal. But decided I had to get to see the Doctor! And waited until Richard came in, hours late. He’d got in a pickle that delayed him. But the lad was really looking worn out and so tired, he did not offer to ring the surgery. He just wanted sleep, something the lad had problems with without having to do a 16hr shift. He’s done his best and asked their head office to ring me or let me know he’d be late.

Bit of cock-up there on my behalf. I did get a phone call but thought it was the spammer man, he had the same Asian accent, and I thought he said he was ringing from Virgin, so rang off! Oh, dear, it must have been Meridian, he said! I felt terrible about that. But it’s no wonder I want someone to phone the surgery, is it? So when Richard had gone, I rang Deana. Explained the problem with last Friday’s mind-blank when I was at Bulwell and another today. Also quickly mentioned the cataract getting worse, as was the hearing. Also, I reminded her that she failed to turn up Friday. Poor gal was ultra-busy, s I expected from the tone of her voice on Freitag. Bless her, she only asked ME – to phone and remind her in the morning! Me! For her to call and ring the surgery for me. Hahaha! Worra life, innit? It never gets any easier. Oh, the photos…

My nosh, before the funny turn.
