My Frustration & Hatred Is Growing!

Excellent 3 for the urine night pouch colouring!

Feet after the little wander around in town yesterday.

Laundry bag return awaited.

I’m not sure why…
I took two photos of the waste bags?

A blurry early morning shot of the car park.

Then two other bad shots of the view ahead.

Got up around 03:30hrs, and the use of the did not arrive until gone 07:00hrs. dominated. Took some cleaning up!
.

Looks like a ghostly seat! I hung the towel over the shower chair and turned on the heater to dry it off. Cunning!
I remembered doing this an hour or two later, and I went to turn off the wet room emersion heater.

The Meridian Domestic lady did not arrive. Hope she was on holiday and not poorly. So I hoovered the hallway. Unfortunately, I my toe on the trolley walker wheel, right against the . This may have had other lesser men cringing and wingeing, but not me. I just laughed it off!

Made an early fine feast of sliced baked potatoes, soy imitation sausages, beetroot & tomatoes, red & yellows. Naturally, no sooner had sat down to watch the TV with the meal tray on my knees, and my taste buds tingling!
14:35hrs: The opticians rang. Can I bring some old spectacle frames in to use in the varifocal spectacles? The one the Carer took for me is too old to get a lens made to fit it?
Back to the meal…
14:48: The Doctor rang to say the Blepha decision will be emailed to me later. Humph!
Back to the meal…
15:00hrs: DVT Anticoagulation rang; the DV vein draining has been cancelled. They will make me another appointment.
Back to the meal…
The potatoes were barely lukewarm by then. How does this happen to me so often? Whatever time I get around to eating, someone will call, or the phone will burst into life.
Still, the nosh deserved an 8.4/10 rating!

Took this slightly better shot of the Chestnut Way car park in front of the flats when I washed the pots up.

I decided to watch some TV again. Huh! Turned it on again, and some sad adverts greeted me.
Kids have to live using underground water.
I noticed my new glasses on top of the cabinet and realised how lucky I am really, compared to some. Then…

The TV went off. A message something about; check your external and internal ariels? It came back on later again.

Oh, getting dark?
Five minutes later…
Another five minutes.

Did the eye treatment. used, then when it had dried, the Gel.

After 18:00hr Carer Benjamin called, and we found we were missing some tablets. I was in a pickle about it, cause it was Atorvastatin, and I had a weirdly strange feeling that Richard mentioned something on Monday to me about it coming later when he kindly fetched the prescriptions for me… but of course with , I’m just not sure. So, none tonight. Benjamin said he would have a look around down in the office for me in case they were in there. Thanked him, and he said he was doing the late call; if the tablets are in the Meridian office, he’d bring them up with him.

I got back on the computer, to find that...

Late Carer Carer arrived. He brought up the missing tablets and issued them with the Peptac; no painkillers were needed. Then attached the night pouch to He also responded to my request for him to hang up the laundry, which was only dressing gowns; bless him.

Turned off this computer, and I got settled in the £300 second-hand shop bought, c1966, moth-eaten, cringingly-beige-coloured, grotty, bedraggled, dilapidated, crumb-containing from my nocturnal nibblings, bug-ridden itch-inspiring, not working recliner in search of sleep. I put the TV on, cause that usually helps me to nod off, when the commercial adverts come on… but only when there is something on I wanted to watch. Hehe!

Evening, All!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Somewhere around 05:00hrs. The last few memories of a dream I’d been having faded from my memory. Completely gone in seconds! Claimed by the ether. The only remaining detail was that I was enjoying it. Tsk! I almost nodded off again, but more escapages of inf from the rear end started, interposed occasionally by a few belches.
Then the part taste of last night’s vegetable chillie came up into my mouth. It was not unpleasant. I questioned my eating chilli-con-carne in any form – I love the taste of it, but the innards always play up like this afterwards… I’ve knave to consider stopping eating them. Honestly, the farting and belching continued for hours.

Fantastic results again! Three out of the last four days, I’ve been in the Amber Zone. (High-Normal) Grrreat!

I was so pleased with these results, I got the graphics to use done on CorelDraw.

Getting the photo’s in, I came across a rather silly I’d made. I’d failed to put these two evening views from the kitchenette sink into Monday’s blog.

Graphics posted, I went to get the kettle on for a brew of tea. But got sidetracked by the getting-urgent need for the .
Not that he needed it, after yesterday’s messy session, but had the backing of the after-effects of the vegetable chilli-con-carne to ensure one of the pongiest, messiest evacuations, ever!
The instant the flow began, I felt a little giddy. The aroma, I imagine, was the cause of this.
It was all over in seconds… but the mess it left on my rear and in the bowl, took ages to clean up. I started a new toilet roll, and there were precious few left on the inner core by the time I’d cleared things so I could wash my bottie!
Thank heavens I had enough Germoloid ointment to use; it took an awful lot to ease the stinging of the poor .

Got the nappies on…; I mean Protection Pants.
Put the eye drops in, although not a lot got into the eyes as usual. More ended up in my mouth and moustache than the eyes. Olive-Oiled the ear holes. All this time, I kept flushing the WC and repeatedly waited for the tank to refill to try and clear ‘things’ again!
I took a Galpharm capsule, hoping it may calm things down in the Dirrahorea department.

I washed up, checked things in the wet room, and went off to make a brew of tea again. The tea had to wait again…

For the moon was out and high late, and with the cloudy conditions out there in the dark, I just had to try and get some decent photographs of the planet. So, I fetched the Lumix to give it a go.

I was not pleased with the resulting photographs.
But I kept on taking them, hoping I could get just one decent, detailed picture, a good shot… Huh!.

But it was not meant to be.
.

To my disappointment, I forgot I’d made the mug of tea, and I left it to get cold on the side of the stove and went back to the computerisationing.

Started updating the Monday blog.

Chimed out as I got up, thinking I had not unlocked the door yet, and chuntering to myself.
Came into the room. How can I not remember if I’d unlocked the door or not? Silly Question!
Richard made an alarm battery alert check with the NCH (Nottingham City Homes) control.
Got the medications sorted out. And he’d used an End run to get around things and arranged for the Carer this evening to pack the morning medications in a pot, so I could take them in the morning before the trip out to the hospital. When I suggested this, at first, we thought the powers that be would not allow us to do this; in case I get up thinking of sorting the many things needed to take with me to the hospital and forget to take the tablets – I still might.
Richard wrote a note on the whiteboard that the evening carer might spot, and now it’s up to me to remember to remind her. (Fingers crossed, but I reckon I will!)
Rich moved the spectacles distance, reading, and sunglasses, that I had to take with me nearer to the list of instructions and medication listings he’d sorted out for me. A grand lad! We had a laugh over my passing wind and belching all the time he was here. Hehehe!
Om leaving, he said he wouldn’t see me until next Monday and wished me well with the Cataracts – if they do them, that is. Bless him! Gave him some treats in thanks, wished him well, and he took the waste bags on his way out.

I got back to blogging. But it was as if a different person was doing it. Back to the mistake-making, Blanks, and the concentration had collapsed again. Very frustrating. I pressed on and got the Monday blog posted to WordPress. Then decided to stop on this blog. I was almost going backwards, getting nowhere.
I ditched and washed the cold mug of brew, and I made the much-awaited fresh drink of tea.

The Asda delivery arrived, and this driver actually put the breakable and damageable goods in different boxes for me.

Thank you, mate!

The feast of food was put away after posing for some photographic recordings. Hehehe!

I’m hoping the treats products have a good life on them. But could not see the dates on so many of them. In fact, some don’t seem tp have any on them at all.

But that’s likely because of my ailments , , and .

I’d got a lot in, so as to avoid struggling in the event that the hospital does do the Cataract tomorrow. But it remains a mystery as to why I’ve been called in, and Deana called the QMC to ask if it is for the operation, and they were as puzzled with the wording n the appointment sheet as we were!

The imitation pork looked more like pot than pork does. If it’s anything like as good as the mock sausages, they should be good.

I got them in the oven after sorting the other things out.

The meal went down a treat! Yellow & red tomatoes, soya & herb pork, fries and some bread thins. Followed with a pot of lemon soya yoghourt… my new favourite dessert from Asda. My Flavour Rating for this one is 8/10.

.

Carer Shannon woke me up. We had a decent nattering session after she’d done the medicating. Shannon made up a pot of morning medications and left it on the things on the Carers table for me to take with me to the hospital, so I should see it and take them. Selected a nibble and drinkie in thanks. Took the waste bag with her on her way out. I locked the door.

As I got back into the hallway, the evening sky caught my attention.

I took these three shots, two of the sky and scene and one of the bottom cars parked on Chestnut Walk.

I resettled in the £300, bought eight years ago from the second-hand shop, Harold Haemorrhoid testing, repugnantly beige-coloured, crumb containing, virus-breeding, acne-giving, rickety, itch-producing, none-working recliner.

Then the started. I was concerned about the mystery trip to the hospital in the morning.
Of course, all the other worries and concerns kept nipping in between this concern, and the brain could not cope with trying to make decisions about what needed doing and when.
I think I formulated this plan eventually. “Go to sleep now – get up and finish this blog ASAP. Get all the needed things together, then get the ablutions done, get dressed, and sit with the crossword book (If I can see enough to read the clues) if I can see and read the clues. Wait there for the arrival of the NHS lift that Deana arranged for me. They should be coming according to the message, twixt 0700 and 0900hrs. Then, trying to ignore Mind-Storming, tried to get to sleep.

No chance… I then thought, would it be better for me to get down in the lobby for 07:00hrs and wait there?

Oh, dearie me, Confusion Konrad was having his way.

Woke and got up at 00:30hrs…

Inchcock Today: Wednesday 10th August 2022 Ode to Doreen: Part 21.3⅚th

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

I stayed up for a total of 29hrs; Gawd knows when I can finally get my head down again. CorelDraw mishaps, the main reason, and my stupidity in handling it. Today, CorelDraw has improved. But I still can’t get caught up with the blogging.
I did get yesterday’s finished; this afternoon. And am now making a start on this one at18:15hrs! So, note mong night in the offing! So this diary will be a bit shorter. Methinks I’ll never gerrit dun if not. Sorreh! Did you see that? I reverted to my early years Meadows upbringing slang! Hehehe!
The legs, ankles and feet were not looking so good, yet they were lass painfully than yesterday. One heck of shock after doing the sphygmomanometerisationing!
Glagnangles! The SYS was 186, DIA 63, & pulse 74. Blimey! The body temperature was great, though! Went on the NHS analysis site; interested in what they would comment on this figure.
I wonder if there will be anyone at the Riverside Health Centre on Friday who I can inveigle into doing a check for me on their machine? Well, you never know yer luck… No, hang on, it’s me we’re talking about, innit? Okay, forget it!
Arrived while I was making a mug of tea, my first one for 18 hours! Oh, I am good!
I told Richard about the eight pages of instructions from the C4N transport. The only bit I could read of the eight two-sided A4 paper and leaflet was what it is going to cost me. Very confusing it was. Richard had a quick look; he didn’t have much time, he’s got another client to see. Five minutes later, he said, “I can’t understand it either, Gerry! a right load of confusing waffle!” He kindly stuffed the paperwork into his bag of treats, telling me he’d have a look later on, and let me know if sorts owt out, in the morning. Bless his Cotton Socks!

The Morrison order arrived via the Amazon shopperess. I got the packages in the kitchenette.
I went for a wee-wee and returned to find liquid had been flowing from one of the bags, covering the kitchen floor. I’m not having a lot of luck these last two days, am I? A bottle of Tonic Water caps came off, and a litre of Tonic Water with a hint of lime had soaked through two of the other bags, and I had a right job sorting it out.
Got flowers put in the cool hallway for the warden’s treats.
Then made a start on sorting out the product delivered. kicked off.
Just as I was moving the things in this photo, as I was picking up the pin sprays… the top of one of the bottles shot off; at least I smell nice now, too nice for my comfort.

But dare not go put in these clothes with that sweet smell all over my torso and trousers. Tsk! I ordered a packet of vegan sausages and got a cheapo-ready meal of two sausages & mash in gravy. The limit on you could buy of Mash World chips (fries) as one packet!
The oven-baked fries were so unfrozen I felt the chips breaking up.
As I said earlier, I’m not doing very well lately. Humph!
Tried to phone Warden Deana, then Warden Julie, but both calls were diverted, so they must be up to the neck in it!

Got the fridge and freezer filled up. Tried to phone Warden Deana, then Warden Julie, but both calls were diverted, so they must be up to the neck in it!

Many Mind-Blanks now; I’m feeling right weary. The cataract eyes are making it even worse to see and concentrate. was so persistent today, and Reflux Valve Roger was having great fun with me.
Tried to phone Warden Deana, then Warden Julie, to get help with the transport letter reading and ask them if they could phone the Doctors for me. (Anne Gyna and Reflux Valve Roger), but both calls were diverted, so they must be up to the neck in it!
Deana rang back, and oddly enough, she said she was up to the neck in it today! I told her of the flowers and Strawberries, and if the DVT nurse came early and the Amazon nuts arrived in time, I’d nip them to the office for her.

Deana told me she arranged the transport for Friday’s Riverside Diabetes meeting. She needed the appointment list to arrange the others. Her voice told me she was up to the neck in it. She said she’s pop up later to pick things up. But never made it, up to the neck with it, you see.
Evening arrived as I was getting my din-dins out of the oven. A gorgeous but ridiculously costly roast Vegetable Risotto. I forgot to take a photo of it. Gave Valerie the strawberries and flowers. She was tickled pink. Haha!

I ate the risotto meal and, for a laugh, took a selfie of eating the last succulent forkful! There was not enough of it to get me. But £4 for a piddling meal is a bit much, thanks to Morrison’s, for the leaking tonic water. The crushed to bits cheese biscuits and squashed swiss rolls, too!

I cleared away the food things and took this snap of the view of the just missed sunsetting.
A quick wash, no shower or shave yet again today!
I must make sure tomorrow that I can get a mega-ablutioning session in. Not as easy as it sounds nowadays. Everything is taking so much longer to get done, thanks to the ailments and dementia-Doreen!

I put on a Dr Who DVD, and I was, not surprisingly soon, off into the land of nod. Where I stayed for nearly six hours of bliss!
Are things taking a turn for the better here?

Go forth and have a fiesta,
Fundamentally, fun!

Inchcock: Sunday 27th February 2022

Inchcocks Morning Ode…

There are some things of interest, some nostalgic…
I wish to admit to and share on this Samstag,
Like my being an insomniac…
But not a kleptomaniac…
My ailments ensure I move about, looking like a maniac!
My stomach doesn’t look like a sixpack…
The flesh wobbles, flails about, and bounces back…
This is not my only physical drawback…
Cateracted eyes are going; I can just see a haystack!
The hearing is fading, teeth covered in plaque…
Medical bother, I can’t get to see the quack,
My hobbling pace is down to that of a lollygag!
When Jillie came yesterday, she brought me a snack…
Did I mention it? To me, she’s an aphrodisiac! 💘

Inchcock: Sunday 27th February 2022

Gobsmacking! I woke up at 06:40hrs, having had an uninterrupted straight six hours of kip! At last! I think the Hemp capsules, just one at night, must be working! We’ll see!

The fight to free my substantially flabbier and grossly larger-stomached body from the £300, second-hand bought, c1968, nauseously beige-coloured, not-working, rusty, rickety, difficile, crumb-covered tatty recliner; went so smoothly! No Dizzy Dennis’s antics, Cartilage Cathy was hardly any hassle at all, and no toe-stubbing. Arthur Itis, Duodenal Donald, Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley, were all calm!!! I realised this may be bluff from the body, so I delayed going into a Smug-Mode!

As I was hobbling into the kitchen and working out how long I’d been asleep, I cracked the right shoulder against the door frame! The glasses came off, I dropped the empty bottle I was going to refill! Of course, I took in all in good spirits. After respectaclising myself and cleaning up the mess, and laughed away as I got into the kitchenette. Ahem!

I realised it was Sunday (I usually work these things out within an hour or so of waking up, you know). So, I got all the food and implements needed for Prepping Josie’s chilli stew. Doing pork for her today, for a change. Chopped the veg and added it to the saucepan with the seasonings.

As I rinsed out the lemon washing up liquid bottle before putting it in the waste bag, the bubbles went everywhere, including up in the air! Got back and reran the tap, but it was no good; the suds had died a death. Shame! Like lightning… well, I hobbled as fast as I could and got the Canon to photograph this min-phenomenon.

I got on the computer to finish off yesterday’s blog. The door chime chimed, and I thought it might be the Amazon man with the belated bleach, but it wasn’t.

It was the nippy, perky, Cheeky Charley Carer. Who told me off for spelling her name wrong. She got the medications sorted out, and we had a little nattering session. During which she took a selfie with the Canon, of both of us! Chose her choice of treats (Back of photo), and off she went, taking the waste bags with her. ♥ You just can’t help liking her!

Ten minutes later, ♫Oh Susana ♫ chimed again. It was the food from J Sainsbury’s. The chap took the bags through to the kitchen for me; that was a nice gesture. As he left, he mentioned that I did not look too good. Oh, I felt okay? The first thing I did was get the potatoes in a cool fark place. See the potatoes above? Sainsbury’s new slogan, Helping everyone eat better, Does not ring true, does it! They also had only one day’s life on Strawberrys and two on the yellow tomatoes. One substitute and two unavailable items;  Which really helps the new slogan get across, dunnit? ‘Sainsbury’s, Helping everyone eat better‘ Crap!

The food cupboard had room left in them both? And the fridge was looking most positively sparse! Ring-pulls on the peas and chilli were no longer on the cans.

No fresh garden peas are available, along with lemon cheesecakes. And the baked cheese curls were loose in the box, with no wrapping!

I wonder which overpaid dimwit came up with this Catchphrase-Motto’? Hogwash! Proof of J Sainsbury’s commitment to their new logo.

Got on with updating the Saturday blog via what bits I could remember and the scrawl on the notepad. I kept checking on the cooking meal for Josie, in between wee-weeing and blog working.

The intercom buzzed, and I thought the Amazon bleach had arrived, even though their Email said it would be coming twixt 15:00>18:00hrs. But I could see no one on the lobby camera? Mmm?

Eventually, I got the blog almost finished, then realised the time, and had to get the Josie-meal readied and served. So, I did! I’d made far too much. So I put another serving in the grey-lidded pot, so she can have another nibble later on. I have to say, this pork one did taste good when I tried a spoonful! Added the extra tidbits; The G&T, Yorkie bar, Cadbury’s chocolate mini rolls, cheese discs, a pot of Devon custard, and two tiny pots of pineapple jelly desserts. Then in a bid to get it to her before it lost its heat, I plodded out into the lobby and rang her bell. She soon answered the door, making her usual perusal of the meal, asking what is it this week then?

I told her I’d put pork instead of beef in the Chilli-stew this time. And again, she told me I’d have her looking like Betty Bunter. Can anyone remember the Betty Bunter character? I’m sure she was in a comic in the ’50s. The comic title was June! The lads had Billy Bunter and the gals Betty Bunter… not sure I can remember the comic’s name. I’ll have a look on the web for Betty Bunter later. Which I did, here she is! It was Bessie Bunter!

I got back to the flat and got all the washing up done. Then posted the blog off. Visited Facebook, WordPress Reader, WP Comments… all between taking wee-wees, of course. Tsk!

16:40hrs: The Amazon box of bleach arrived. As the deliveryman plonked it on the floor through the door – I thought… this is poor! I immediately had a bit of a panic-station, DEFCON-two warning come over me! I didn’t like the idea of the label being on the side of the box. Got it into the kitchenette and used the sharp knife to carefully open it. It was apparent that every bottle had leaked! Good job; it was crap bleach; it had only worked its way through the inner box. I had a bit of a kerfuffle as I got the bottles from the decaying box and into the sink. Where I checked each one and cleaned it with paper towels.

Having not long gotten over J Sainsbury’s insulting treatment, now it was Amazon’s turn to insult me. Some of the bottles weighed far less than the others; obviously, they had spewed out more bleach. Grumph!

I got on with cleaning and drying them, putting each one in the rectangular bowl, in case they leaked again later; at least the escaping bleach should be contained to some degree… I hope!

Francis

I nipped the Strawberries down to Francis’ apartment. I almost forgot about taking them for her this week. Slipped her a cheese twist pastry as well. I hope she likes the cheese twists… ♫ Come on let’s twist again, Like we did last summer, come on… ♫

Been such a busy day for me in some ways. Good job, I remembered, cause they were delivered with one-day shelf-life left on them by J Sainsbury’s! Oh yes… How does it go? ‘Sainsbury’s, Helping everyone eat better.’

Made a long-awaited start on this blog, and an hour or so later, the tune of ♫ Oh, Susana ♫ chirped up. I was so glad that Carer Julie came to see to tend to me.

Julie kindly listened to me moaning about the Sainsbury’s and Amazon deliveries. She even checked the bottles to see they were safe. She really is an Angel to me. America’s loss, and aged decrepit Nottinghamians gain. 💗

The Sherwood sunset was not as dramatic as it has been these last few nights, but still a wonderful Mother nature sight to see.

The blogging was slow-going yet again. I surrendered to the eyelids’ demands and gave up. I’ll continue in the morning. Hopefully, Hahaha!

Impure Inchy – Thursday 4th March 2021 Diary

♥ TFZer Actresses on stage! ♥

Thursday 4th March 2021

Spanish: Jueves 4 de Marzo de 2021

23:40hrs: I removed my over-flabbily-bellied body from the c1968 recliner and utilised the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee Bucket). A short sharp affair, with a lot of CMD (Cessational Micturition Dribble) to follow.

No messing about, I got on the computer to create a template for today’s blog. Starting with doing a few graphics on CorelDraw. But, I didn’t get too far, the call to the Porcelain Throne arrived, so, off to the wet room. Incidentally, Cartilage Cathy was a lot kinder to me this morning.

It seemed to me that the daily PTDDSB (Porcelain Throne, Daily-Domination-Stakes- Battle) for supremacy in the evacuation was a close thing. Still, a comeback from Constipation Konrad had curbed the rampant messy tendencies of Trotsky Terence for once! So, I had a go at the crossword puzzle as I waited for things to kick-off. Just as yesterday, I didn’t solve a single clue! (Well, I’m consistent, if not capable. Hehehe! The movement started slowly and stayed that way, but no pain or bleeding, and as I said, it was a lot less mess to clean up. I still had to refill the tank by hand though, I think the problem is the fluffy too-thick toilet roll paper.

Back to the grahicalisationing, I went. Then made-up and started this template. Which took me ages to get this far with. Then, I went on to update the Wednesday Diary, at long last. I got it updated fully, emailed the link and went on the WordPress Reader section. Which I enjoyed considerably. Pinterested a couple of photographs, the read and replied to the WP comments that had come in. Some witty puns and quips came on this Thursday.

I was about to start collating the advance templates and realised the hours had shot by; it was time to get the ablutions tended to. As is usual with me, I got into the kitchen and got myself sidetracked once more.

I decided to get the hand-washing done first. But and however – guess who had left the hot water tap (faucet) to run cold? Yes, pickle-brain Inchcock had struck-again! Gawd-blimey, I this far too often! Hence decision had to be made (another Inchcock problem area!) My EQ told me there nothing to do but press on handwashing boiling the water in the kettle and saucepan, for more Whoopsiedangleplops were on their way! He also called me a name, a naughty one!

So, the half-hour or so handwashing exercise took me nearly two hours! Not to mention the scolding of two fingers fetching the kettle to the sink… Oh, I’ve said it! It’s a good job that I was in a slightly better mood today! I washed the long-sleeve jumper, the jammie-bottoms and the pair of long bamboo diabetic socks. The washed ones from yesterday were not fully-dry enough to put on today, so I got a couple of 100% short-ones to adorn after the ablutions to wear.

Then, as I checked the dryness of the other things that were hanging above the kitchen window, with perfect-timing, Peripheral Pete went into an involuntary right-leg Neuropathic Schuhplattler dance routine! This caused me to drop the coat-hangars and the washing I had in my hand. Belt Cathy Cartilages knee against the floor cupboard, and hit my head against the heater getting back up again!

I made a start on moving the stuff back into the cupboard, but soon lost interest!

My new found emotions of satisfaction, semi-contentment and renewed hopes sank without a trace! I took some painkillers and moped my way to the wet room, leaving the clothes where they had fell on the floor, and swearing a little still, got to the wet room, totally uninterested in what I was there for! Pissed-off would be a quicker way of putting things!

Had I been aware of what was waiting for me, I wouldn’t have gone in! The worse Ablution session in months!

Ablutionalisticalisationing Report:

  • I realised there was no hot water to be gleaned from the sink tap for shaving! But felt sure I would manage using the hottish water from the shower-head without any bother (What an idiot!)
  • Have you ever had to keep going to the other side of the wet room, and with Peripheral Pete shaking me about like a good un, repeatedly, bring the shower-head, which only just reaches the sink, and spraying the tepid water all over yourself and the room? It’s not easy! The cleaning up afterwards wasn’t either!
  • The de-nasalising went well. No water needed, you see! One dropsy only!
  • The teeth-cleaning had a bit of discomfort.
  • Then the shaving began. I had to keep emptying the sink of the water that went too cold, turning up the thermostat, and dial, to get as hot that I could from the control panel, but it wasn’t scorching enough, even then.
  • The whole shaving job was farcical in the extreme. Although having said that, there were only five dropsies! A few little nicks and one cut under the chin. One the throat, two in the neck-hole, and one on the cheek.

I got belated Health Checks done next. The Boot’s, made in China Sphygmomanometer’s SYS reading was fantastically low! Grrreat!

At least I think it is; hang on, I’ll check on Mr Google later on.

The in Hong Kong produced, Chinese Harpin Xian Di contactless thermometer reading was, I think, a smidge high, but well down on yesterdays worrying high of 37.9°c – 100.22°f.

Since the side-effect-ridden AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccination was given to me a week last Saturday, SYS has also been higher, its the lowest reading today than for ages. I think I might be getting confused here, between the SYS and the temperature? Well, fancy that!

I found an NHS site on Google, where you can put in your reading for SYS and DIA, and you get an instant show of where you stand on the chart, with a black cross! Proof that I was right to worry when the SYS went up to 180 five days ago, well, that was well in the red area!

Gotten Himmel! Look at the time! What happened, where did it go?

I’d better close down and get my pre-planned, easy, tasty (I was well wrong there!) meal prepared. I’m afraid the beautiful looking Iceland bought tin of tomatoes was terribly bland, tasteless, watery. Savourless and unappetising. These Don Holio chopped tomatoes needed a warning giving-out about them for anyone unlucky enough to buy any. The Sainsbury crispy smoked ready-cooked bacon slices were very fatty tasting as well! The last of the sourdough bread saved the meal. A flavour-rating of 4.5/10 was granted. Reluctantly to a degree! Eurgh!

However, and leaving the pots in the sink in cold water to be cleaned when I have some hot water again, in the morning, at first, I was well-pleased that I was in time to watch the channel 11, Tales of the Unexpected episodes.

I stayed awake until the first set of commercials, and Sweet Morpheus visited me, and off into the land of nod I floated.

And slept for four unbroken hours, which was so nice! Ahh!

Saturday 6th February 2021

Spanish: Sábado 6 de Febrero de 2021

01:00hrs: Woke, no wee-wee wanted? I was in a somewhat vague haze to start with, just went with the flow… sort of.

Up caught my balance, and off to the kitchenette, and made a brew of Glengettie tea. Then back into the main junk room with the mug, and got the computer on… but not for long, an urgent message from the innards sent in haste to the wet room and Porcelain Throne.

And what an odd session it was! I got settled, and the movement began at the slightest effort from me. It slid out painlessly, undemandingly, smoothly and pretty quickly, too! No signs of a struggle, and absolutely mess-free!

Add to this, that there was no bleeding whatsoever; and for a while, I thought I must still be laying on the uncomfortable, c1968 recliner, and dreaming that this was happening?  Amazing!

I got the updating all finished and posted the blog off. Sent the email link. Went on Facebooking catch-up. That cost me two hours, but I do love it so. But today, I have got to get a few templates done, I’ve none left to use!

I made a brew of Thompsons Punjana, and the second call to the Porcelain Throne arrived, and very urgent too! In fact, an embarrassing leakage arrived before I got settled down on the Throne. (Shame and self-loathing time!) The flow was stickier but still painless! Soon over, and left me with a filthy gooey mess to clean up on the floor, Throne and myself! This put me galvanically into Depression Defcon Two-level! Cleaning up again, took me yonks.

The Subconjunctival haemorrhage eye was stingy just a bit, no real pain as such.

I read and replied to some WP comments, got CorelDraw on to upload photos, and then made a strat on graphic creating, for the template making. This is going to be a mammoth job.

First things first, though, a wee-wee, washed and made a mug of Glengettie.

The view from the kitchen window had acquired a beautiful red tinge. So I took this picture of it. Not very good, but of course it was the Canon Camera being used.

I made the tea and used the Evolve Hypromellose eye drops, I had leftover from the last time the blood vessels burst. I struggled just like before to get the stuff into the eye, and lost a lot of it down my face. I wish the hospital people would have told me how to put them in, cause I can’t get the hang of it. I’ll recheck the eye later on, but now, back to the CorelDrawing.

Stretching to use the picker upperer to retrieve a dropped letter, I had a tumble and clouted my head and right shoulder. Henceforth things are using photographs as reminders and details remain sketchy until I seemed to come back as I was making a brew. The intercom flashed, it was the Iceland delivery, that I’d forgot all about coming.

Took the bags through to the kitchen, I do recall being aghast at the green potatoes in the large bog of potatoes delivered, and struggling to get the things the freezer as it meant bending down, which was currently very painful.

Feeling unwell, tired and only really want to go back to sleep?

I think I did some CorelDrawing, but not much is there as I type this, in the morning.

I stopped everything, to go and get the ablutions tackled. But was just not up to it, the head was spinning, the shoulder and head aching, and I just sat down to rest.

Not sure how long for, must have been a few hours or so. I constantly got up, checked lights, windows, faucets etc., I couldn’t get top sleep, and the Thought Storms were rampant, getting no rest at all.

When the door chimes rang out.

I struggled with surprising difficulty to the door, it was the postman, who immediately showed concern over how I looked and inquired if I was alright, “Would you like me to call you an ambulance?”

He delivered a letter and a parcel.

I think Sister Jane rang. All confused.

Just what I needed in the envelope, a multi questionnaire from Nottingham City Homes to be filled in. I’ve already got the two NHS ones, the monthly passing and BP one, and Covid-19 to fill in, and can’t face doing them how I feel, Humph! The box was the Amazon Dettol that the tracker tells me will be here Monday.

I left everything and sat down again, and stayed there for hours, getting up only for wee-weeing occasionally. Eventually nodding off.

I woke about 23:00hrs, feeling horrifically unwell, but not poorly-sick, really. I got some nosh made. Didn’t eat much of it.

Then got the computer on to finish this post, and let the mind stew as it was going to anyway.

TFZer Nancy ♥

03:30hrs: I stirred into imitation life, and awaited the brain to join me. (It took a few moments).

As I maneuvred my cumbersome, wobbly-blobby frame up on my feet, I noticed that the Clopidogrel allergy inspired blotches and lumps had started to return. Ah-well!

The need for a wee-wee arrived, which I took, and then to the kitchen to do the medicationalisationing as needed. It was of the WSSUGG (Weak-Squirty-Spraying-Uncontrollable-Greeny-Grey) wee-wee style! But no pain, at all with it. Nice! The SYS had come down winsomely at last.

I opened the thick-framed, can’t get at to clean, letting rain in, anti-photographer designed, light & view-blocking new windows, to take a shot of Chestnut Walk below, and crikey, was the wind blowing in!

The medications were taken, and a welcoming mug of Glengettie tea was imbibed!

Off to the computer, and got started on doing up this blog on Blogger. But as I was doing so and searching for graphics, I spotted a comment from Tim Price. He’s put how to get to the old (not block) blogger, without going through a lot of bother and confusion. I tried it. An amazingly simple way to do it, thanks, Tim. I’m back in the editor before last now, so no full alignment button, but I’ll manage without it. Yipee!

I set to creating this blog and did a little CorelDrawing to get some graphics to use.

I remembered that my Iceland delivery was due, a pleasant change that, remembering something! Haha! So I had to stop computerisationing, and get the ablutions done, to be ready in time, in case the delivery comes early in the 8>10 given window.

It was drizzling in the breeze, so I took these shots through the balcony window, the first one towards my left and Sherwood, Mapperley, and Carrington.

The second picture was taken to my right, towards Daybrook, and Arnold, the North of Nottingham. It shows where the garages used to be at the dead-end of Chestnut Walk. I don’t know what the Council or Nottingham City Homes plans are for the area. It’s been fenced off.

It seems that red cars are making a comeback?

As a heavy shower, blown in a blustery than earlier wind started, I grabbed the four-pronged walking stick and hobbled off (rather nattily, I thought), to the wet room!

I assembled everything needed (apart from those I forgot about, hehe!), and amassed them outside the door, and turned on the shower power. Before I could do anything, the need for the Porcelain Throne arrived.

I had a sat-down mini-marathon of a wait for the evacuation to begin. And a partially successful go at the crossword book. But nothing moved! I could sense it wanted to, but Constipation Konrad was preventing any movement. So, I gave up, checked things were not messy, all was okay, and I got on with washing the dandies and getting the teggies cleaned.

As I was getting the teeth-cleaning things ready, I had to divert a few paces back to the Throne. It took me some time again, but when things did start, the motion was excruciating but short-lived. Leaving an aroma, with me coughing, that if it could be bottled, might be used as a nerve gas by the military (Hahaha!)

Now I have batteries; the power-brush was utilised and without a single gum cut! (Smug-Mode-Engaged!) Then, on to the shaving. A few dropsies, but fewer than usual. Razors (3), and the Shaving foam can, and no, I say, No Cuts! (Top lip curls in Elvis fashion and Smug-Mode goes up to Defcon 2. Hehehe!)

Even betterer still, in the shower! Not a single visit from Dizzy Dennis, that’s never happened before? (I’m not sure whether to happy about it or worry over it, Haha!) No shower-head drops! No involuntary right-leg Neuropathic Schuhplattler dancing either! (Smug-Mode goes up to Defcon 2.2 Hehehe!) Mind you, I used one of those freebie hotel-sized soap tablets, that produced about five dropsies.

Oh, and no knocking into the shower chair or the grab bars either! Fanwondertasic!

The medicationing was also of a far less painful exercise. Little Inchies fungal lesion was not bleeding, Harold’s Haemorrhoids were less bothersome. Even the feet, not the toes, seemed less troublesome. Arthur Itis was in a rough mood with me, mind you. Overall, a decent session!

I got semi-dressed; No socks, too painful to use the sock-glide, anyway, it’s been that long, I’m not sure I can remember how to use it, now. Tsk! Got PPs, trousers, a jumper, and the slippers on.

With the Porcelain Throne extra-curricular activities, I got the ablutions finished much later than planned, but just before 08:00hrs, so in time, in case the Iceland delivery came early.

On the computer, to update this post. Now Tim Price has shown me how to get the Classic Editor going; this, even without the full-alignment option, is far better, more utible than the Google Blogger to use. Thanks, Tim!

Five minutes later, the natty Dusty Springfield ♫ , I only want to be with you! ♫ tune rang out from the front door.

Someone had let him in. He’s left the bags in the hallway near the door, and offered to put them through into the entrance for me. But I was in amazingly good, rude, health (for me, anyway) and feeling up for it, so declined his kind offer, and slipped him a can of pink G & T. I know he likes them! I got them through to the kitchen and deposited them where I could find room. Haha!

Not such a big order today, but the fridge was still a tad crammed with nosh by the time I’d finished putting things away.

I then got a pack of small fresh mushrooms in the crock-pot for later. Seasoned them, accidentally from the hickory bottle, in error for the Light Soy sauce bottle. Bungle-Grumplewuncks! But, hey-ho, I just added some Soy to it as well. So, fingers crossed.

The wholemeal deli rolls were flattened as only Iceland damaging goods skills can be. However, this will not stop me from eating them. I plan for some of the Robirch skinless sausages, two of each to go into the individual rolls, with some sliced tomatoes and the mushrooms as a side? The problem with this plan being, the tomatoes are Morrocan. The last time I had some, they were really, in fact, not eatable! Little juice, bitter and rock hard! But of course, these may be sweet and tasty? Pigs might fly! Haha!

As I got back to blogging again, the landline burst forth with its flashing light. It was Brother-in-law-Pete. advising me that they had not received the link for yesterday’s blog. So I investigated and found I had not sent it. I made the excuse that with all the trouble with getting back on WordPress had thrown me off course. I apologised and promised to get it sent off straight away. I did feel a fool!

I went on Facebook next.

I heard a familiar yapping and went to see which dog it was.  It was the fussy-full of life little black dog. His, or her tail never stops wagging, doesn’t stop, only for the odd sniff here and there. Lovely animal.

I took a snap that shows what I mean by the new windows being light & view blocking. I’ve been spoilt by the old windows, they were one turnable giant sheet of glass, that was easy to clean, and gave me freedom when it came to photographing.

I got the nosh prepared and served up. This meal was given a 6/10 for flavour and taste. The mushroom that I cocked-up cooking and put the Hickory in to season instead of the Soy sauce, then added light-soy, were just about edible, but not very nice. The Morrocan tomatoes were less foul than last weeks but still horrible. The delightful seedless grapes, and tasty skinless sausage baps, were excellent!

I put the TV on to check if there was anything worth viewing and saw some back-to-back documentaries were showing, on channel 91. So I went to get the pots washed up.

Then returned to watch the TV.

But the concentration on the engrossing and I think a most interesting documentary was lost. Lost to the Thought-Storming. That was worrying, fearing and at times a little panicky. My confidence was at a low ebb.

Sleep stood no chance at all! Hey-Ho!

GM L 0.0.130bl014:20hrs: I lay there in the £300, dilapidated, second-hand, c1968, gut-wrenchingly horrible beige coloured, not working, rickety recliner. I stayed there for a while, uninterested in anything practical, in an unconventional, incredibly optimistic frame of mind, almost contended.

I spent a few minutes putting the world to rights… I solved the Coronavirus problem, brought about world peace. Then I legislated a few new laws; Life imprisonment for Pavement Cyclists, brought back corporal punishment for paedophiles, freed all prisoners, bar the violent ones, on the promise of their being hung drawn and quartered if they offended again. Solved the global climate problems, and gave medals and an increase in pay for all the NHS staff.  Volunteer helpers were given free air travel for two years…

3Wed0204:40hrs: Then I woke up. In need of a wee-wee and the Porcelain Throne. I grabbed the stick, caught my balance, and poddled off to the wet room. Where the wee-wee, for a change, came first. It was of the ELPJL (Extra-Long-Powerful-Jet-Like) fashion. Yet, it was painless! The evacuation can be described as meat-ball-like (Sorry, but it’s true).

WD 0.0.30 W I spotted some marks on the arm, Clopidogrel Clive inspired, or maybe Myasthenia Gravis Mavis? I rubbed some of the antiseptic creams into the area, and I felt a bit of a tender area on the other side, so 3Wed03investigated. I think this might have been my leaning against something in the hours spent and failing to get to sleep last night. Hey-ho!

I was now cheering up, mostly prompted by the helpful folks being such a boon to me this week. So inspirational, despite my recent adoption of a Grumbly-old-man mode. Tsk!

I so appreciate this food parcel, if it comes each week. I can forget all the worrying and hassle over trying to get a food order slot, in the knowledge that things will be alright. A blessed relieve that! Thank you Nottingham City Council and Homes. ♥

I made my way to the kitchen, feeling industrious and ready for the challenges of the day (I may regret saying that. Hehehe!) I spotted the shirt I’d left in the bowl to soak, and went to get the washing done, wrung and hung before even putting the kettle on. (Mmm?)

WDP 003bWD 0.0.30 a I caught the tops of the toes on my right foot underneath the cabinet door. Bending some of the overgrown nails backwards. Argh! I managed to keep down my coprolalia response to a low volume.

3Wed05Well, that ensured I was in an alert and awake state now. Haha!

I got the washing finished and hung.

Then got the kettle on, and tried taking a different sized photo on the Panasonic camera, from the thick-framed, unwanted, disliked, 3Wed01light & view-blocking, kitchen window. It came out, alrightish.

WD 0.0.30 W Getting the camera setting back to the original setting was a farce, as I couldn’t remember which one it was on! Eventually. I tried the 4-3 ratio. We’ll see later if it was right. What a memory I have!

3Wed06I got a brew of Thomsons Punjana tea made, took the medications and did the medicationalisationings.

I got on the computer and remembered to make an order for an electric can opener from Amazon. Not cheap, but I hope that RAI (Rheumatoid Arthur Itis and Nicodemus’s dying nerve-ends) can cope using with it. I’ve not been able to use a can opener for yonks now, and have to use the ring-pull ones. Of course, with having to use delivered food now, there is no way I can tell if what I buy has ring-pull or not. The kindly donated food parcel delivered, had no pulls on any of the tins, so if it is usable for me when it arrives, at least I can use the peas, beans, soups etc. that I have amassed since the lock-down. Fingers crossed!

WD 0.0.30 W I made up a template for this blog and started writing it. Then it dawned on me, I had not yet finalised Tuesday Diary! What a feebleminded, lunkheaded, glaikit I really am! Hey-ho! So, I started to update the post, at last!

WD 0.0.30 W Huh! Foolish me, thinking I was going some diary work done! I really should have known better than even try to! It’s madness! The landline sprang to life. It was Sister Jane & Pete, worried because the blog link had not been sent to them. I was ruining their morning coffee session when they usually read it. Hahaha! The conversation was enjoyable but challenging to understand all of it, as Jane spoke to Pete in between, and I was getting confused, not knowing who she was talking to. Anyway, Jane told me I should buy a microwave. I mentioned I haven’t got the room. She told me to make it! Haha! We managed a few laughs between us, and I ended up enjoying the natter. But it cost me an awful lot of time, and I was already three hours behind the usual posting time, and I had not yet got the blog updated.

I was accompanied by the odd clang, bang and tapping noises from above. At least I know that Herbert is alright. Ferreting away at his model-making. Poor thing, he must be missing his jig-saw puzzling now the social-area has been closed down for the duration on the pandemic. He loved doing them, too.

I made brew, and decided nothing was going to stop[ me getting the updating done this time!

I was wrong! WD 0.0.30 W ♫ I only want to be with you ♫, chimed out from the doorbells. I got up and put some pants and a shirt on. It was only another food parcel! This time from the Government. And a good one it was, too!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

The both-sided A4 letter said it would be weekly. So, I thought I would phone later, to cancel the Nottingham City Council parcel, and thank them for their efforts.

I got the things stored away, and made up two black bags and took them to the waste chute. (Arthur Itis and the toes were being a bit bothersome… well, damn painful! But I was in a grateful mood towards the volunteer’s efforts for the gift.

WD 0.0.30 W Back to the flat, and called Trapeze artist and lap-top dancer, ILC Warden Deana, to cancel the food from Nottingham City Homes. But the message said she is not available at the moment.

I thought I’d better get an order in; if I can see one suitable for an electric can-opener on Amazon. Hoping I can then use the tinned goods without ring-pull tabs on them. After much kerfuffling about, indecision and pusillanimity, I opted for this one.

3Wed12 (2)

I’m not sure or confident if I’ll manage to cope using it. Janet tells me it is easy. But with the Colin Cramps, Rheumatoid Arthur Itis, Nicodemus’s unreliable neurotransmitters, Dizzy Dennis, Shaking Shaun and Neuropathic Nigel to cope with, people can’t understand or believe the difficulties I have in doing everyday things. Even I can’t at times. Hahaha!

WD 0.0.30 W Great balls of fire! I got carried away and out of kilt there! I’ve still not updated the Tuesday post! What a lamentably pathetic, neglectable, nitwit I am! I’ll do it now!

WD 0.0.30 W For crying out loud! The landline lit and rang forth again! It was the Cardiac Unit, calling for someone of another name? I had to go all through my personal details to convince them I was me! The caller asked for someone with the surname Chamberlain, I think it was. Ah, well, it was reassuring that others can get things wrong as well!

WD 0.0.30 W I tried to get the updating done, seven hours later than usual. Botherations and blasticulisations! Ah, well, I’ll get on with…

Well, that cost me a couple of hours or more. With the link sent off, the WordPress Reading, then TFZer Facebooking I’d used up a total of four more hours of the day!

I rang Jane, to make sure she’s received the link to the post. I found out I was not to order any more food. Still got to buy a microwave, and must cut down on doing things to give me more time for the blog. Thanks, Jane. Humph!

At long last, I got back on CorelDrawing. Well, I managed to get two done. better than none.

3Wed25Got the nosh started. Lamb burgers, boiled spuds, tomatoes, sugar snap peas, and all prepared and served up.

A splash of Hoisin sauce on the halved spuds. All acceptable. The lamb burgers made a nice change, but they were not as good as the beefburgers. Flavour rating: 7.5/10.

Did the washing up, moved the handwashing, and got settled, determined to get some good sleep in if I could.

Ah, well, you can’t win ’em all!

Inchcockski – Tuesday 28th April 2020: Grobblefinks, ug… I’m losing it!

Tuesday 28th April 2020

Welsh: Dydd Mawrth 28ain Ebrill 2020

000 April 28

GM blu0104:50hrs: I woke, and within seconds of attempting to encourage my brain to join me in activating, the need for a wee-wee appeared. I removed my overly-stomached torso from the £300, second-hand, c1968, cringingly-foul beige coloured, none-working rickety recliner; and limped, literally, to the GPEWWB (Grey-Plastic-Emergency-Wee-Wee-Bucket)  and got two shocks at the same time, no, three actually! Tsk!

WD 0.0.128 3 As I began to appreciate the lack of much bother from Duodenal Donald and conceded that the toenails and Arthur Itis were going to be today’s top-dog ailments. (They gave it away by being so painful, Hehe!)

WD 0.0.128 3 Then realised that the wee-wee was of the LHLBS (Long-Hosepipe-Like-Blasting-Splashback) variety, not experienced for many months. Not any pain with it, mind!

WD 0.0.128 3 Then the bucket slipped from my grip, as Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters died a death on me. How I managed only to get my jammy bottoms and the PPs wet, is a mystery and miracle.

2Tue01I went to the wet room, taking care not to stub the overly-long-nailed toes. I washed things up, put the jammie-bottoms in the bucket to soak, and had a stand-up wash and shave. Again surprises, Nicodemus’s visit ended, (It’s going to be a start-stop day methinks). And hardly any dropsies at all! Just the razor (2), and the 2Tue04toothpaste! It was a confusing start to the day. With merit points, and the usual Whoopsiedangleplops. It looked like the reactions to the Clopidogrel is returning again on both legs and feet.

Off to the kitchen. This reminded me of the Iceland delivery due in a couple of hours or so. I made a brew and took the medications. And set out with a degree of enthusiasm for once, to get the updating done of the Monday post. I got it finalised, despite the nerve-ends playing up on and off, in a reasonable time. Emailed the links. Went on the WordPress Reader.

IMG_4015Then the intercom rang and lit up. It was the Iceland delivery that had arrived. The same chap as yesterday, I think. I pointed out the can pf G & T the side for him in thanks. Off he trotted, and I got the bags indoors, and to the kitchen.

2Tue08aA lot of stuff to find room for again. Amongst them were some new salt & vinegar flavoured Fish Chunks, if all goes well today, I plan to have some of these, with potatoes, tomatoes and sugar snap peas. That’s the plan anyway. Getting the things away was a battle and-a-half! They had sent some of the Naturally Imperfect chips as well, so I made a point of making room for them in the freezer, at the cost of dishing some bits to make room for them.

2Tue09I got some of the potatoes in the sizeable crock-pot cooking. A bit of sea salt and vinegar added.

Then, as I was pottering around, I spotted some dirt marks on the kitchen floor. I got some spray on the floor and got down with the micro-cloth to clean it up a bit. Huh!

WD 0.0.128 2A I cleaned it up alright but getting my stomach-dominated bulk back up on my feet, was no easy feat! Gawd knows how long it took me. I ended up crawling on my knees to the side counter, (it’s easier to grab hold of) and hauled myself up, on the third attempt, and much silent howling and cursing, back into a semi-perpendicular position.

WD 0.0.128 3 Which was bad enough, but the agony from the toes and ankles were hardly bearable. I decided to stop cleaning.

I went to the wet room, to clean and medicate things now in need of the same. The struggle to get up had set Little Inchies fungal lesion bleeding. Arthur Itis’s knees needed Phorpain gelling, and the toes were gelled in a fashion, from cotton wool at the end of Jenny’s picker-upperer! Needs must, and all that!

WD 0.0.128 3 Which proved a mistake to make! Unbeknown to me, the skin around the toes had cracked, and Phorpain gel shouldn’t be applied to this. I think there might be a few cracks in the wet room roof where my head hit it when I jumped! Hahaha! Then I had another unpleasant job, putting my feet in hot water to remove the gel!

WDP 2aI tried to look on the bright side, but it was difficult with the tears running from the eyes… only joking! I cleared the kitchen a bit, made up four bags of waste, and took them to the chute in the loft lobby. Walking was even worse than earlier, things were getting into their usual stride again. Dangwangles, damn and blast!

Made a start on this blog at last. But only for a minute or two. The landline burst forth. It was a lady from Nottingham City Council. Asking if I had received my food parcels yet. I explained about trying to sign on last week after a letter from the Doctors Confirming me being of a ‘High Risk’ status. I rang them (Wednesday I think), auto line, and my Hospital number not being recognised. I asking Deana to help, she rang back saying someone was going to call me and am still waiting for the call-back. Perhaps it is you? We checked the details and answered the questions again. After which, the lady offered to make another application for me. I thanked her, she will call back if anything is sorted. Int life good? I mentioned I have a 4kg bag of instant potato flakes if they could use it. She gave me a number to ring, where it could be used.

WD 0.0.128 3 I rang the number. The gentleman said it was of no uses to him, then he started talking too quickly for me to hear anything he was saying. I thanked him and rang off.

WD 0.0.128 3 The Salvation army might be interested. So I looked up their number and rang it. No answer. I tried another one, no answer. I looked up a local charity and rang one, who said they would not be able to use the potatoes but thanked me. She gave me another number to ring, which I did. No answer. I tried a third Sally-army number I found. No answer. Then I gave up!

2Tue11I made a brew and checked the potatoes in the big slow-cooker. They were still rock-hard! A shame that. I made sure they were on the high setting.

Then tried to change the picture size on the Panasonic, and took these shots from the unwanted, unliked, thick-framed, rain letting in, kitchen window.

2Tue21

I found a Coronavirus chart and copied it on here. Later realising it was well out of date. What a Schmuck!

2Tue13

2Tue14Maybe today, I can get some graphic done on CorelDraw for the posts?

I’ll make a start by creating a template for tomorrow. I got the computer booted up again, and managed to get about ten-minutes on it, got ready to make progress at long last with the CorelDrawing…

WD 0.0.128 3 Oh, no I won’t! The intercom rang again. No rest for the wicked! Well, bless them, it was a lady from Nottingham City Council, delivering my first food parcel.

A very pleasant lady put the carrier through the door after confirming who I was. I2Tue22 asked her if she knew of someone who could use the 4kg of instant potato and told her the story of how I came to have it.

2Tue23She took it to deliver to a homeless shelter charity who care for street sleepers. I thanked her for her kindness, and off she flew. Bless her cotton socks!

Milk, bread, oranges, canned beans and sweetcorn, individual sauce pots, jam pots, potatoes, and an onion, milk and much more.

They even supplied some TRs and two little hotel samples of soap. Wonderful! I felt humbled and cared for.

2Tue24They even supplied a mass of paperwork with them. Some coronavirus advice, and must and mustn’t doe’s check-list.

An in-depth list of all the foods in the bag. Allergies, halal, vegan etc.

Marvellous!

Looks like it’s too late to get any graphics done now. The weariness is creeping in, and the toes and knees are so painful, it’s unreal! I nipped into the wet room to get some gel on the knees, Germolene the tootsies, and Germoloid the stinging piles.

I had a look at the state of the legs, and they were not very encouraging at all!

2Tue25

Talk about pale!

Another day flashed by, and not much got done! Yet a lot did really, I’m losing it again.

2Tue25I went to check on the spuds progress. Coming on alright. I got the thighs on the plate and added tomatoes, a Marmite cheese medallion and silverskin onions. The slow-cooker cooked potatoes were great tasting, I added some splashes of Hoisin sauce on them. A small can of garden peas as well. The orange kindly donated on my food parcel was almost juiceless. The fowl were not very flavoursome at all. Overall the meal as good, all the same. The Muller light lemon yoghourt and the Clementine drink were lip-smacking good, as usual. An 8.8/10 for Taste rating!

Got the pots washed. Took the evening medicines and medicated areas of the flobby-body that was in need. I got down in the 300, second-hand, uncomfortable rickety, none-working recliner, with some mini-cheddars and a pot of yoghourt covered cashew nuts for nibbling later.

WDPright05WD 0.0.128 3 The mind-storming was filled with taradiddle, quixotic-nonsense, and a confounding assortment of the weirdest ideas and plan-formulating, ever known before! This was not easy to free the brain of and lasted for many hours. Thus, ensuring that Sweet Morpheous was denied again! Dranglewangles!

Keep doing your bestest, and stay in if you can. One nipping out to the shops when unnecessary, can mean you catching, or giving someone else Coronavirus. Best of luck!

GM cap0103:50hrs: I didn’t wake up – because I didn’t get to sleep. I just grumpily, cantankerously decided to reluctantly get up, mainly because I needed a wee-wee.

WD 130.0.0 I quickly got out of the £300 second-hand, rickety recliner, gained my momentum, picked up the four-pronged walking stick, and made for the wet room. Within two paces I was in pain from the toe I stubbed last night! Argh! It’s not going to get any better until I can get the toenails cut somehow, but have no idea how I can get them done in the current lock-in? I’m due for a lot of slowly increasing suffering now. And have 12 weeks of enforced hibernation to get through before I can even think of getting out to the clinic. Gawd, I’m in a rotten mood, already!

A right sprinkling and spraying wee-wee it was, a bit of blood from Inchies fungal lesion joined in the drizzle. A good start this, I thought. I’m tired out, irritable. I go for a wee and find the place needed ten-minutes of cleaning up, medicating, and a lot of pain to do it, afterwards! A message of gloom from my EQ lowered what bit of confidence I had.

I needed to pull myself out of the darkness. I tried singing my favourite ‘happier-times’ related songs to myself as I went to the kitchen. But, the sharp stinging from the toe put an end to that idea! Whimper-whinge

I took the medications, including several swigs of the useless Peptac antacid medicine to calm Duodenal Donald down. Made a brew of Glengettie Gold tea, and got the computer going. I sent an email to Jenny, as I had not heard from her for a while. Which is not surprising, like me, she is busier than before the lockdown, helping and caring for so many people.

WD 130.0.0 Then, it was back to the wet room, for the Porcelain Throne this time. I had a bit of luck though; Duodenal Donald was really giving me some stick. I’m sure this helped me feel the effects of Constipation Conrad’s hurtful evacuation, much less. Does that make sense?

On the computer, and worked through updating the Saturday post. Took me a few hours, but it was all done. Published it, then I posted (emailed) off the links. Pinterest, Comments and Facebooking were visited.

Jenny emailed, she has got some bleach for me and will get it to me later, no rush for the money. Wonderful!

Made a template and made a start on this blog. Got it finalised, and then tended to the ablution duties. It was a right mixed bag of luck, this session was!

I had another trickling wee-wee, and as I moved after the session, and got the camera to take a photo of the ankle ulcer (I never did get around to making it):

7Sun02WD 130.0.0 a Instantly, with no warning twitches from the right knee or ankle (a rarity), a Neuropathic Schuhplattler right leg dance, kicked off! It lasted a while this one, too. But the more surprising fact. As I leant forward to the nearest solid object to grab onto, to keep my balance and not topple-over, the toilet cistern, the camera which was in the right hand, took this picture on the right as I fell forwards. Yet the photo came out great?

The dropsies were very few, probably fewer than for weeks if not longer. All I can recall, (Of course I was a little shook-up with the dance and Duodenal Donald stabbing at me) was the soap, razors (3), the towel, and the Germoloid cream tube. Smug-Mode-Adopted!

And the legs Peripheral Neuropathic, Clopidogrel legs, well, knees had changed the expressions on both patellas. Can you make out the shape that I can see in them on the left ones? I could make a competition to find the hidden object with these knees! Hahaha!

7Sun04a

I ignored the need to wear socks again, and I threw a verbal sneer at the Sock-Glide (Haha). But, being as I was planning to leave the flat, I thought it best if I put on the PPs, a shirt and some trousers!

Jen rang the bell and dropped-off the bleach for me outside. Grand of her, and it was the lemon-scented one that I like, too! Bless her. ♥

WD 130.0.0 a I went to ring her to thank her and tell her I’d drop the cash off later. ‘Clanger!’ I could not find the paper with peoples flat and phone numbers on it! I emailed her back, explaining my stupidity. Replied with her phone digits. Rang her, it was engaged. Took the bags to the waste chute and down to Jennies flat. Left bag with cash and rang the bell.

WD 130.0.0 I foolishly got in the lift, and went down to the ground floor and got out before I realised what I was doing. Waited to get back in, only one in a lift nowadays. When the elevator came, Cyndy got out, greetings exchanged. I think only about ten words were used between us. But it was nice to talk to someone real.

7Sun04bBack to the flat and got Josie’s nosh done. A little earlier than usual, but I took it to her door and pressed the bells. No answer. Oh, dear! I nipped back in the flat and covered the plate with foil to hopefully keep it warm for a while, and put the Limoncello back in the fridge to keep that cold.

More sorting in the kitchen produced another black bag for the chute. So I took it and called at Josie’s on the way back. No answer.

Updated this diary a while, and then took the now cold meal to Josie’s, for the third time. Aha! A response! She’d been in the shower. We had a natter, and I explained why the meal maybe a little cold. My fault for going too early. She should like the potatoes this time, I’d got some Leicester cheese to use, and thanks to Jenny, some butter to add to them.

Then I got back to the computer and remembered I’d forgotten to take out the Limoncello from the fridge! Back to Josie, and explained. I got a rum look, and she mentioned that I had already given her a pot of orange jelly. IU told her that will keep for any time, I know how much she loves her Limoncello.

7Sun01WD 130.0.0 I did a quick check of the latest Coronavirus figures. My first thought was, good, only 20 new cases confirmed yesterday. But on seeing the local deaths, it shook me a bit.

And these figures are not including anyone who dies anywhere other than in a hospital.

We’ve a long way to go yet. Confidence in a solution being found is limited

I then prepared my own meal.

7Sun40WD 130.0.0 I was a tad disappointed in how the cheesy mashed potatoes turned out. I’ll leave out the butter on the next lot I try making, I reckon. All that Leicester cheese I used, and still not much of a flavour to it. The caramelised onion pate will not be tried again if I can get any, it will be the pork & mushrooms ones in future. The overall taste rating was 5/10. But it looked lovely! Hahaha!

I got the pots washed, cleaned a bit of the kitchen floor, but stopped when Duodenal Donald complained.

7Sun41I made up a bottle of spring water and lemon cordial mix.

Spotting these families out in the sunshine on the bottom field, I got the Nikon to record the view. It didn’t particularly cheer me up as it usually would have done. Cause a bit of jealousy came to the fore. How I wish I could still be able to take a walk through the Tree Copse! But, my new disabilities since the stroke, and now the enforced twelve-week imprisonment in the flat, guaranteed my days of ambling, smelling the petrichor and falling over in the Copse, are finished. Tsk!

I got down in the no-longer working, broken by my xyrophobia-suffering Brother-in-law Pete, rickety recliner.

A first here, no nod-offs came at all, even with the TV on! No thought-storming! Just a sort of vagueness, and mind wandering without aim or resolution.
