An out-of-it-more than-with-it a day.
Cold, with escaping Southerly winds! Hehe!
Felt drained much earlier than usual.
Concentration was minimal… if that!
Acne & Excema storms.
Angiitis & Angiopathy itches, bleeding.
Fell asleep at the computer!
Then nodded off on the WC!
Mind-Blanks Galore!
So, a usual day for me!
Humph!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Although sleeping with its usual broken nodding and waken routine, I was still in the second-hand, £300, c1968, overwhelmingly sickening beige-coloured, tatty, uncomfortable, wobbly, germ-producing, falling to pieces, food residue collecting recliner at 07:15hrs.
And was almost annoyed when the summoning to the Porcelain Throne arrived and had to get up.

A decent amount of pee was passed! I can’t say the same for the rear-end evacuation on the Throne.
Ah, well! A False Alarm, then?

I found this mystery photo on the SD later. What it was and why I took it remains another mystery of Woodthorpe Court, with the hobgoblins, spectres, gnomai, phantasms, ghosts, the grotesque succubae, extraterrestrials, ectoplasms, spirits, or the Fata Morganas, Cognitive Impairment Iris, & FND, that have been sent to taunt, irritate and terminate my already limited saneness of mind? You never know; I might remember what it was all about while I’m doing this blog… What am I saying… Tsk!

Washed, and I went back to the recliner… deliberately emptying the bags without checking for any nocturnally nibbled empty packets of crisps. Looking through the balcony windows, the ground frost was apparent.

Ti the kitchen to make a brew of J Sainsbury’s Extra Strong tea. And took the view above.

Carer Richard arrived, I can remember bits of the session clearly, but so many blanks remain. Even I can’t believe or understand why. Then a  mild depression started due to this. I was losing what we’d said minutes earlier. But could recall the time he arrived?

I made a start on today’s ode. Concentration was good, and I knew this was going to take some time.
Carer Maryam arrived. She said she was here to do the domestic shift. And a grand job she did for me. And, I can remember a lot of what the gal did and said. She cleaned the oven and the kitchen floor, tidied around, and had a go at the wet room floor but had to rush it a little as the time was up. Bless her cotton socks. Oh, yes, socks; I can recall Richard putting on the socks, ankle and legging straps for me now. And he checked the medication’s stock in hand and dates.

Back on the ode creating, which for some reason, I was struggling with. This annoyed me, as they usually flow pretty easily from my   infected brain. But not today?
After emptying the fast-filling day pouch…
I got seated, and actually, no joking, I nodded off on the computer chair for I don’t know how long for.
I woke up as chimed out, and Carer Marie came into the room. She was in a hurry today, but we did have a little natter, moan, and laugh, as she issued the medications. ♥

As the gal left, I got another hint that I needed to use the again, so I did. Haha!

It was a long wait, but I got the evacuation to start, and it needed some effort on my part to free the initial concrete torpedo, which edged its way painfully and bloodily into the WC; there followed a tsunami of almost liquid shooting out! I felt drained, and somehow or other, as I was working out what needed doing cleaning up and medically… I fell asleep again and sat atop the dark brown torpedo and brown liquid in the bowl. When I woke up, things had dried on the lower rear-end region, the stink was terrible, as I got myself sorted out first, a good cleaning, drying and
Germolened the backside, I saw the clock, and by Jimminee, I reckon I’d been asleep for over an hour and a half, maybe longer. Another cleaning up session of the floor, porcelain and WC lid had to be done. Where did the time go? What day is it?

I got things sorted, went to the kitchen, and planned the meal of the day. Chips, peas and beef & gravy!
A banana and pot of jelly for afters!
Despite my frustration at the events and another bout of depression, I turned into a different person while eating this nosh. It tasted grand!

After Carer Chris called, I decided I’d had enough of taking horrible night photos and would do my damnedest to take some good ones!
Well, that one wasn’t any good…
Strewth, how many moons did I take? Haha!
Wrinkles again. A misshaped moon too, but at least I got it looking vaguely like a moon.

Had a mug of tea, and…
FELL ASLEEP AGAIN
When I woke up, Carer Chris was in the room, taking off the leggings. I can’t say much more; I cannot recall much of what happened at all.
After he’d left I realised that I had not started this blog off yet! Made a start, and now, at 02:45hrs in the morning, I’m up to here with it.

I went to check that I’d not left the tap or stove on, and decided to try one last time at taking a morning hot of the view from the kitchenette.
Took the sky first, not very good was it… Again!
That’s it, a semi-decent one at last! Well…

The stretched photo revealed (Just the bottle).

So weary now. 03:50hrs!
I have the District nurse coming tomorrow, an Asda order, and someone else, but I cannot recall who, and I’ve not put it on my calendar. Humph!
So, I do not have much time free tomorrow.

CHEERS!

INCHY: Thursday 10th August 2023 – An inextricable confusing day!

So many hassles and ailments today…
Anything I tried to do, trouble got in the way!
The left leg kept collapsing… vulnerability?
The hospital doctor mentioned cerebropathy...
Thought when I get home, look it up straight away!
But Virgin Media did not want to play!
It kept going down for the rest of the day!
Shuddering Shoulder Shirley attacked at midday,
But she didn’t have it all her own way…
Shaking Shaun joined in: lackaday!
Balance walking, wobbly, made me feel giddy,
No time for my blogging & wordsmithery,
My DVT nurse comes tomorrow to take my blood away,
She rang me to ask what time of day ♥,
The opticians rang, I couldn’t hear what she did say…
What sanity I have, was drifting away…
EENT Clinic rang, about the operation day,
There may be some sort of delay…
Social Services are coming on Monday…
I don’t know what for, they didn’t say,
The Mobility Team on Wednesday…
DVT Anticoagulant rang; booked me into the faculty?
Sister Jane rang me, we were very chatty…
3 visits to the Porcelain Throne, they were whiffy!
Iceland delivered food, that costs pounds, over fifty!
Wen t to get things done ablutionary,
No hot water; the tap was dripping away!
The whole day was wrong, contrary…
Things seemed unreal, delusionary,
Still, no time to start the blog diary,
22:00hrs I started on the one for Wednesday,
There were always things diversionary…
I soon got feeling weary & wary…
My mind got into a bigger disarray,
Thoughts were going all over, thataway, thereaway,
I never want to suffer such an abominably, bad day…

Like I suffered this bloody Thursday!
Nearly midnight now, still need a shower someway,
Do the teggies, shave, change the catheter..
.
Eye drops, Germoloid the piles and basically…
Get some sleep; hoping Friday will go less diabolically!
And my body will act less dysfunctionally…
The brain too, the day goes less eventfully
And, Cognitive Impairment Iris, plays favourably,

All day I’ve not eaten anything gastronomically,
I’ve just been so damned up-to-the-neck busy.
I’ll put some potatoes in the oven, quickly…
Do the needed tasks ablutionary,
I’m feeling better already…
I’m doing this ode, quite lyrically?
And face my problems bravely,

Not moaning, groaning or snivelly!
The upcoming appointments, medically,
Only the one that’s neurophysiologically,
I’ll approach a little nervously,
Funny how I’ve cheered up suddenly…
Not bad, cause I’ll be showering nocturnally,
I’ll cope with things philosophically…
I’ll check what that means in my dictionary!

Worra Blooming Day!

Up at 05:10hrs.

The night Bag was removed.
Not a lot of it, and dark coloured too! Am I surprised? Then yes, not after the nightmare day, though!.

Waste bags sorted.

The was better!

First mug of Glengettie!

Computer on.
But not for long.

The intercom flashed as I got the spuds out of the drawer.
Aha, the Iceland food arrived to restock the freezer from my in leaving the door open for nine hours! Three bags of food were destroyed. Tsk!
The driver kindly carried the bags into the kitchen for me.
As I was getting the frozen things in the freezer first…
The watch strap broke. So I put it down on the counter, and continued to get the food in the freezer sharpishly!
Biscuits Galore. Not for me of course; they are for the Carers and nurses due Friday and next week.

Coffees (For the carers of course), Rustlers for Carer Richard. Potatoes and bread for me

The freezer filled once again!

Naughties?
Savoury nibbles in the plastic ottoman.

The phone started ringing almost nonstop for hours.
Nurses, Carers, Social Services, Fall Team, Optician, Sister Jane, and others. The computer was not touched again until late evening… but by 21:00hrs, Had amassed no less than…

The second and last mug of tea, Thompsons Punjana this time, was being gulped down with three shortcake biscuit sticks. No, I’m not kidding, just three!

I got a new strap on the wristwatch.

The Days Sky Photos.
All from roughly the same spot at the kitchen window.
Good Morning
Good later Morning
Good Afternoon
Late Afternoon.
Sunset One
Late Sunset Two…
Bootiful!
Early Morning

Now I’ll try to get a meal made.
Potatoes in the oven, and thought I’d change the night bag and get the ablutions done. But I .
So, got the burnt potatoes out of the oven… buttered the potatoes unsparingly, and added some yellow tomatoes, with a lemon dessert for afters.
Scoffed it all up. Flavour-Rating 7.5/10
And fell asleep again…

Cheers Middears!

INCHIE TODAY: Monday 6th February 2023

I got carried away today… No, not the undertakers or men in white coats to blame. Har-har! It was a moment of freedom granted to my mind by VDD; Vascular Dementia Doreen. A cunning trick on her behalf to give me more grief, and it fooled and lured me into spending half an hour or so of heavenly pareidoliaing as the sunset faded for the day. And I took many photos of its progress, Bootiful! (Further down never the bottom of the blog.

But and however, she made me pay dearly for my moments of contentment. While viewing, photographing and admiring the beauty of Mother Nature through the kitchen window…
I’d left the hot tap running. And dangerously accifauxpa-temptingly held in the evacuation that was brewing; So as not to miss the last photos as the darkness fell – But I had to rush off to the Porcelain Throne as things in the rear-end were starting of their own accord!
Naturally, I failed to make it in time. Another mess to clean up! Which I did as quickly as I could to get back to the photographicalisationing.
Which is when I noticed the hot tap (faucet) running. The water was cold by then. But the real pisser of them all? I missed the dawning of the darkness to picture. I do believe I swore vociferously!
Ah, well, on with the diary…

Up at about 06:40hrs. I think the shock of a certain organ being extended, thus giving me great discomfort with the catheter, helped get me up and into wakefulness of sorts.
I got the night pouch disconnected.

Went to wash the tube end, and the moon was still in view, so I snapped it wide and closer.

Not very well, mind.

Unbelievably, the day bag had reloaded with clear wee-wee.

I soon got it emptied.

Carer Richard arrived. Medications were given, and he reminded me of Thursday’s visit to the Mental Health Coppice Hospital. Now I must remember to ring Easy-Lift to make sure I have booked a lift. Before it is too late to do so. (Of course, I forgot to do it). Richard checked the taps and stove for me.

Ah, a bit of blood in the urine now. But it cleared up later.
I caught the tube earlier, and it may have ripped the fungal lesion a bit. It hurt like hell. (I did this three more times in the afternoon and evening)

I received an email from Lisa at the Rehabilitation and Falls Service (South Locality). She is a caring lady. Asking many questions, which I probably went into too much detail in answering, now I think of it. But I answered them all. Bless her.
Carer Sam arrived. Meds and safety checks were done.
I was working on making mistakes, errors, misspellings and forgetting things on the blog.

Carer Kara called. Always helpful, that gal.

Teatime, I went to make a brew, and the sunset photo farce began.
Here are the photos in the order they were taken; some zoomed in and some not. There are a good few; sorry if they bore you.

But I love them, even if they did cause the Porcelain Throne and tap to be left on scenarios. Hehehe!

I took a couple, one of the car park, the other of the houses, to break up the monotony for you.

Then back to the sky…

Then I had to tend to the Porcelain Throne farce.

Air Fryer tried
Carer Richard arrived; good timing on my behalf. The frier-timer had about ten minutes left to go. Richard let me make the meal before he gave me the medications and put the night pouch onto the day bag for me. He took the waste bags with him.
The chip putties were consumed with some tomato ketchup.
The letdown (I usually get one of these regularly) was that the Lumix would not work for me at all. Well, it gave me a blank screen. I’ll try it again in the morning… but my hope is not high.

Haben Sie einen guten Tag!
