In Quick Mode.

The nocturnal catheter bag was removed.

Say no more…

A tablet was found on the carpet.

Complete reversal.

Plenty of time for the cross-wording.

Wash & shave.

The new slippers are back on!

Waste bags sorted out.

Made a brew. The carer arrived; I forgot to ask them to take my laundry bag… again!

This’ll see me to the funeral.

That filled up quick again!.

Next, a box of catheters was delivered.
Then, some spare straps.

I decided to have a snack, a meat pastie.
I put it in the oven and returned to blogging.
Two hours later, I smelt the burning.
The top of the shortcrust pastry had literally exploded in the oven. Pain and effort were gone through to clean the mess up afterwards; it was taken matter-of-factly and light-heartedly. That was because today, the ups & downs periods continued, just the same as for the last four days. Shame, but the pie was well and truly beyond salvation or eating!

Blimey filled up again!

But I did get to do some crosswording.
Started a new one and was doing well until a mind freeze developed and mental confusion reigned.

See the stain on the carpet? That was where the damned catheter had been leaking, for all the time I was merrily crosswording and waiting for the evacuation to develop, that never did! Humph!

I tried to take some decent shots of the evening view as I titivated the stew I was cooking.
A bit wobbly this one!

Blimus! Filled again!
But the colour was much lighter; I’d say it was a perfect number one on the NHS grading card!

I’m not sure why I made such a fowl-tasting bean stew. Make the regularly, but have never done one with such a   terrible flavour? Eurgh!
I managed a few spoonfuls and gave up as Carer Victor arrived. Got the ankle and neg straps removed. Took his BP & vitals. (They can’t touch me for it, Hahaha!)

Caught the moon.
Then, the lights in the night.

Zzz!

Short again. Depressed, and not feeling well.

A little dark, but less than of late.

Fantastically detailed shot of the morning fog.

Tried again later.

So cold when I opened the window to take the photos. The heater is still not working… weekend again! Made a brew of Glengettie to warm up.

Ah, black turning to blue?

Later on, grey fog.

Only three trips today. All the same in nature.

Daily total for internet failures Much better…

The fog was still thick four hours later.

Second and last allowed mug of tea. Sob!

Aha, I can see shapes!

The day bag often filled up quick today.

Late afternoon, I see houses. Hehe!

Medicationings done.

, the sunshine got through the clouds and fog for the first time today…
Then sank out of view within minutes.

.

.
Did you get them all? I did…

Still feeling a smidgen dizzy and out of balance for some reason or other. And the periods of Dark, and dank  s, were horrible.

05:20hrs: I awoke, battled my way out of the £300, bought eight years ago from the second-hand shop, Harold Haemorrhoid testing, repugnantly beige-coloured, crumb containing, virus-breeding, acne-giving, rickety, none-working recliner, and detached the from and was up on my feet, and doing the balance exercises, within a few minutes. .
The wee-wee in the punch was less than expected, and of a darker shade. However, in the past, I have had it a lot darker on some mornings. So, not too bad.
The right leg bandaging still looked the same colour as the left leg’s skin. Note the long green throw I’d wrapped around my belly and put on under the dressing gown? That’s due to it being so flipping cold without the ankle and leg straps on. The nurse, Sarah, I hope, is coming on Tuesday, to see how the pins are going, so might have to start using the cumbersome, but warm again. Not that I’ll remember with all the medical appointments coming up. Hopefully, my red eye appointment with the doctor, can be cancelled somehow for Monday morning, as long as it continues to improve? It does look a little better this morning more of the white bit is showing. So, fingers crossed it continues to heal itself.
Another messy evacuation was tackled. The passing, I would think, took about five seconds, Eugrh! Hehe!
The cleaning up, took me about fifteen minutes or so. And all the bending down started to activate, but he didn’t have me over. Another   Tidied up a little in the front room. Not much. Don’t want to overdo things, you know. Hehehe! Found the spillage from last night’s exploding bottle of Schweppes tonic water, had stained the carpet something awful! What’s it doing to my stomach lining? You never know; it may even help me with & ‘s hassle?
Off to the kitchen. To get some potatoes in the crock-pot to have later on. I made a mess of taking a photo of last night’s nosh; it didn’t make it to the SD card for some reason. But I did take a photo of one mini-potatoes that I didn’t have the heart to eat. A tiny little thing.

I got the computer on, and guess what?
No signal was available.
After ten minutes or so, one came on.
An hour later, the 6th failure showed up. This time it needed the full treatment to get it back on. Lost the work I’d done by turning everything off. Reset the whatsit box… router, left it a minute, then pressed the rest button and waited in hope. 20 minutes later, it came back on. I cracked on with the Saturday blog updating. Got it done and was about to email the links and it went again. I lost all I’d done on the Email, of course. But, it did come back on of its own accord about an hour later, while I was doing a graphic on CorelDraw for Sunday’s blog.
I hastily for the Email done again and posted it.

Just in time for the dubious financial Oligarchs of again!

arrived. He got the various medicationings sorted out and offered a bit of advice on the computer problems that I was having recently with the maddening problems of Firefox crashing, Norton changing things without telling me, and CorelDraw freezing on me regularly. ‘Always back up your work’.
Finally, after Victor had departed, I got and drank a mug of Glengettie. Hurray! No biscuits were eaten with it, which I felt a little proud about!
After this failure from the famously inept , and another full reset to get it back, the thing went so slowly; it was hard work.
I went back onto CorelDraw, praying that it would not freeze on me again. IT DID! HAD TO TURN EVERYTHING OFF.

Turned itself off. Now when I try to open it, it comes up in a version from 5 years ago. Will not save anything! I could cry. The Internet is down again; just come back on; this may be the last from me… if I can get to post it that is.
All that work I did lost too!

No new graphics, no new photos, no imported things, written word only in future.

Farewell!

I wearily stirred from the broken spells of slumber. Edged my elephantine-bellied body to the edge of the £300 Oxfam charity shop bought second-hand, uncomfortable, wincingly grotty, beige coloured, crumb-covered from my nocturnal nibblings, itch-making,  positively unhealthy & dangerous, no longer operational, virus-breeding, easy-to-fall-out-of, Catheter-tube-trapping, recliner, and took this photo of the

Carried out the balance routine, rose gingerly, and into the kitchen with in tow.
Got the waste bags collated and taken to the front door, ready for collection by the kind Carers.

The stomach rumbled and squelched inside.
Off to the wet room I hastened. I was very nervous, thinking that I would not make it in time. However, things did not go to plan. Nothing unusual there, then! Getting the motion started was a long and painful exercise. To mask the pain of forcing things along, I had a go at the crossword book. Then, I counted the cracks in the ceiling and spots of dirt on the floor and mat. Eventually, a grindingly hurtfully slow evacuation began. It took ages and stopped part-way for a moment. I thought something would give inside my rear end, to maybe even split open! The exiting torpedo eventually freed itself with a clunk and splash! Immediately followed by perhaps a gallon or two of stinking, almost liquid follow-up! It was such a pleasure when it finally cleared! I’ll not waffle on too much about these events, just to tell you that three more evacuations during the day and night were all similar. (And the innards are still rumbling) Oh, dearie me!

I thought a mug of Glengettie might settle the tummy, and I made a strong brew and drank it… That did me no good!
Back to the for visit number two.
I’m getting all behind with things already, having to spend so much time cleaning up the Porcelain and myself regularly. Getting miffed off with these strange evacuations.

The tea went cold again.
I went into the kitchen to wash the mug and took pictures of the morning view. Not too bad an effort for me.
In the second photo, at last, I captured a shot of Venus in which you can actually almost see the planet!
.

I’d apparently done the updating of the Monday blog. It took a good four hours to achieve this. I say apparently because I cannot recall anything for that period, even who the Carer was called. I had to look at the singing-in register to find out.

Arrived later. I was not entirely with it, and I will have to ask her if anything was decided that I need to do next time she calls. I’m sure she rang someone for me… I think.

I vaguely remember taking these two photographs of the view from the kitchenette.
And thinking about how unique nature is, producing such views of beauty. While tellurians continue eating, bullying, murdering, killing and hating each other.
Just a thought.

I used to take the picture on the right. My being I got the idea to make this photo with the sun out, a little more interesting, and CorelDrawed in an additional graphic on an arm and finger. At the time, I think I had an amusing quip in mind to add to it… but with the attention of , the idea escaped the clutches of my inattentive memory. Most annoying. So, if anyone can think of a funny or suitable quote, please let me know… it might be the one I had and lost? Hahaha!

Challenge No. 2
I took this snap of the TV screen in the evening. A sad, blurry effort. But I thought it might be an idea to see if anyone in the know of British TV shows can identify the character… with the following clues, please.
1) A show recorded in Yorkshire.
2) Character names include Oscar, Greengrass, and Nick (the one in the photo).
3). The photoed character usually wears a uniform
4) A Buddy Holly song, the name of which is the series name, played at the start and finish of the programme.
WHAT WAS IT CALLED?

The Nosh!
Shortcrust pie, tomatoes, a bread roll, Followed by a pot of children’s jelly. Hehe!
The innards burst into like within half an hour! Back with great haste to the again. It was the same performance, be it took even longer to escape this time!

Did the last two calls.
and attaching sorted out.

Lousy night’s sleep again!

A mishmash of mordant mental malignancy was gone through today. Confusion over metastatic prostate cancer; Why am I still taking the Finasteride.
It was originally told me by the specialist at the Haywood Hospital, that they were for a month’s course. Then the
would be removed for 24 hours, to allow me to try manually peeing. Then a bladder scan would be done to see what’s left in it, not passed. If all is well, the Catheter can be removed. If not, the only course left open is for you to have a permanent one fitted.

This has been done three times now. Every time the bladder was found to be 30% full after weeing.
I’d hoped to be told that I’d be going on the waiting list for the operation on the bladder. There would still be a bad to be controlled of course – but the key factor in this cheering me up was that a tube would go into the bladder via the side of the stomach. Hence: My poor battered and getting cut up and causing so much pain, would hopefully be a memory! But, No! They just replaced the contraption again, and the whole procedure was repeated twice more. Same results not enough passed!
ensured a free run from ensued today. Deepak-Depression, self-criticising, Fed-Upperedness and I have to admit it… to a certain level of self-pity. Which dissipated I
. It seems to make me aware that I am far better off than many people in the world, country, Nottingham, even Sherwood and in these flats where I dwell, with my topsy-turvey, ever-changing moods.

At the moment, typing this, albeit already Sunday afternoon and I’m miles behind with everything; I’m verging on feeling almost, practically contented!
Of course, it won’t last long, but there you go. Had I not been feeling up, the downers would never have arrived… I think I got that wrong somehow?
I’d better get a move on. My photo comments will be a little shorter than usual (Well, we’ll see how it goes). To save me time. A lot to get done today. A lot to forget, lose and do wrong as well.

.
A photo missed off of yesterday’s blog.

07:10hrs: Up late again, needing to appease the demands of the bowels. Much firmer products were evacuated!

Waste dogs sorted out.

Making the first of the two mugs of tea allowed me…
However…
So the tea had gone cold! Tsk!

Fodder arrived…
Unpacked the bags…
Plenty of bread!
Fresh foods.
Disappointed with the bananas! See the black strips underneath the stalks? A sure sign of age and mistreatment. All bar one were bruised, uneatable!

Daily medicationalisationings.

The new dressing gown was delivered, just before  arrived.
Just after I’d taken a photo of the gown. It didn’t come out the colour that it actually was. took the camera and tried to get a better shot for me.
He held them up while I tried again.
Better, but not right yet…
Not a lad to be beaten, he took it out on the balcony and got this ace shot taken. That’s the colour!

Spent ages on the blog, and nearly forgot about the emptying. Hehe!

But the flow steadied, and three hours and 2 litres of spring water later, the pouch was nearly empty?

Had to sort through the Asda-Walmart frozen diced potatoes before getting them in the oven.

Took this photo of the getting dark earlier sky as I made the vegetable soup.

Chunky vegetable soup, with plenty of diced, boiled then roasted potatoes. A better job this time. Taste: 8/10.

After dining well, I got the pots all finished washing up.
And I took this snap of the evening view.

Then I dived (not literally of course) into the c1966, £300 Oxfam charity shop bought, second-hand, wincingly grotty, beige coloured, crumb-covered from my nocturnal nibbling, itch-making, uncomfortable, positively unhealthy & dangerous, no longer operational, virus-breeding, easy-to-fall-out-of, Catheter-tube-trapping, recliner. Hope I can get that bed soon from the hospital. I’ll have to beg someone to ring them for me… and hope and pray they can get through this time.

Your coming Lottery win is innervating,
So much, you’ll want it reaffirming!
What’ll you spend it on? I’m just guessing…
A new bathroom for your ablutioning?
Pay for your noisy neighbours assassinating?
Pay off your Auntie to stop her blackmailing?
No need for any more of your burgling!
A holiday in Australia, backpacking?
Go to a health spa, for detoxificating?
Your power bills will be less concerning!
No more fears, or talk about bankrupting!
Or your mental health deteriorating!
Go live somewhere with security gating?
Private Doctors may charge £10 per Aspirin,
Go on, live an idle life that’s high-faulutin’!

Oh, yes, that’s what you have been doing!
Rishi & wife Murty, have been capitalising.
Destroying HMG, the Tories are dying…
But, no need for your sighing...
Positions of power you can be buying?
Purchase a fifteenth home in Pekin?

After the longest night’s sleep of the year, of over eight hours! 06:55hrs: I was woken from my deep heavenly sleep to the tune of the door chime charmingly but alarmingly chiming .
(A caring gal), was eventually recognised as the fizzled brain tried to get into gear. It was hard work, confusing and annoying to me cause I knew I was waffling about the leg straps and diabetic socks but could not get a hold of things. The gal gave me the medications and put the compression socks on me, but I struggled with fitting the two leg straps. I tried to guide her, but I was as much use as a bible in a mosque. Thanked her, and off she went to her next person in need.

Storm Babet was settled in for the majority of the day. A run of nine hours of rain. As a record of this, I took photos of the end car park mudslide throughout the day as it gradually grew gruesomely!
Tried to take a close-up through the window.
Then, opposite the flats.
It’s flowing down now.
Tried a closer shot with the window open.
Then, an even closer one.
Muddier water now…
Still growing slowly.
Another close-up.
The top white car had escaped.
It’s at its peak here!

Ablutionings.

Mug of Glengettie.

The District Nurse, Sophina, arrived. Now I’ve got two new diabetic socks on, with ankle straps, I think.
Poor gal got soaked in the rain, and her feet and socks soaked through. Luckily, I have several pairs of new, unworn socks from back in the day when they fitted, and I could use . And we went in to pick a pair so she could have dry tootsies on for the rest of her rounds. Lovely gal.

Do you remember me telling you about her?
It was never easy to manipulate by getting worse legs into the darned thing. Every time, I ended up with bruises, bleeding or blood nips. Many Tumbles as well. But nowadays, she lurks in the spare room, and I feel a hatred (well, fear) for her each time I go into the room. I swear the green-coloured, plastic-covered metal implement of torture still laughs as I go by! I can no longer physically cope with using her now.
‘Thank Goodness!’

As indeed, the other five visits of the day were!

Late afternoon,The plastic pouring cones arrived. I refilled a dropper bottle with Olive Oil. And to think they came from Taiwan within three days of ordering!
When I was filling the bottle, a burst forth from the door chime. A resident had seen the other driver leave the quilt I ordered for the bed that may never arrive, and he’d left it in the ground floor lobby! Things have gone missing from there many times, and I thanked the man venomously for bringing it up to me. Now, if I can get some help with ringing the Age UK number the nurse gave me, I can find out if they can help at all, pay them, and after the clearing is finished, inform Sarah from the Falls & Rehabilitation Team that it is cleared, and then she will order a bed for me. But I have to find out first if they can help.
Then, there is that new appointment at the EENT for the post-cataract procedure – whatever that is. I’ve got to book a lift with Easy-Link there & back.
It’s all go here! Haha!

THE QUILT

At midnight, I gave up on the blog and got my Friday meal prepared. Although, it was a Saturday meal by the time I got it cooked and served up.

Not too bad. Taste-Rating: 7.2/10

A day of vagueness, the brain full of wanderlust.
After staying up until the early hours of the morning hours to try and make some progress on blogging. I didn’t get up until the Carer woke me.
The ablutionalisationings took me well over two hours, and I could not shower either, or even wash the usual one foot now, with the new strapping over the compression sock, and on the masses of compression bandages on top of the woolly wrapping, I’m beginning to smell I think?
The day buzzed by, and no blogging was done at all.

Aha, this is a better shade!

Potatoes with sea salt added.

Balcony shot of the end car park.
It was not a very good shot as the shower started.
The mini-seconds-long shower stopped!

The tree copse.
East end of the car park.

Back inside from the balcony.

Three spuds that took longer than the rest of them?
Left them in a bit longer.
Cut up some pots, tomatoes and carrots, and
added them to the veg soup.
Added some beef flavouring.
Stirred it in…
Then, I added some gorgeous tasting…
to the saucepan and gently heat it so as to
get the flavours in all the veg.
Made a brew and left it warming up gently.

Starting to eat the not good looking home-made
Borscht soup, which tasted gorgeous,
arrived. I continued nibbling away as we had an excellent two-way nattering session. It filled me up, and I could eat it all. As Joanne said, I put it in the fridge for
consumption tomorrow. The medications were done,
and off went Joanne. A nice gal.

The sky looked worth photoing.

The bin bags were belatedly sorted out.

Taking them to the front door for collection, I felt the
dropping down the leg…
It looked like wind more than liquid?
It may have been from the Borscht? Hehe!
Emptied it and later got the night bag attached
to the day bag, ready for head downing.

Checked the taps and stove.
The view had changed dramatically.
Where did the sun come from?

As I was about to sink into the c1968, tatty, scruffy, unkempt, uncomfortable, virus, microorganism, bug, bacterium, bacillus, germ, parasite producing, and disease-fermenting second-hand, eyesorely-horrendously grungy beige-coloured, £300, charity shop bought, crumb-retaining, moth-eaten, non-working, bacillus encouraging, incommodious, Haemorrhoid Harold testing, recliner; in search of Sweet Morpheus. But the need arose… off to the wetroom, with the in one hand, and in t’other!

I banged my shoulder on the door frame going in.I dropped both
and the tube gave such a pull as it fell, it started ! This left me in a quandary, as kicked off, and the need for the rear-end evacuation felt more urgent!
Blood trickling from Little , I decided to get the pants down sharpishly and seated on the WC.
Nothing but wind escaped!
Leaving emitting and leaving a putrid pong!
To stop the bleeding from ,
clean up the bloodied tubing, and treat, of all things, bleeding. How come, if I only passed wind, the piles bled? Powerful Wind?
Another problem arose... I had to empty and remove the night bag, which has a once-only valve for draining, then hobble with the stick to get another night pouch and back to the wet room. (It looked like someone had been stabbed to death in there. Hahaha!) But first, before attaching the night bag, I had to get the fresh PPs on…
Then I got the nocturnal pouch back on.
Then, the task of cleaning up the mess… With no cleaner to help, the place was already looking even worse and dirtier. So, I just used the picker-upperer to soak up the blood spots as best I could and called it a day… well, morning, which it was by now.

Mornin’ All!

Well, butter my butt and call me a biscuit! Over six hours of sleep, with just one wake-up early in the morning, about 05:00hrs, after I’d had the dream about the end of mankind & the planet. I scribbled some memory notes to help me in recall for the writing about it on the ode for today. (above). It was like a documentary. Forecasts, images and disasters were being revealed. Constantly changing between countries and different types of catastrophes. All of them, humankind made.   I did wonder if had had a hand in creating this nightmare, well, morningmare? Apparently, the end will come in three years’ time. But by the time it ends, judging by the details given to me, those still left on earth will be glad to see the back of it. Millions of humans committed suicide, genocide, fratricides, sororicides, infanticides, homicides, general populicides, and a few tyrannicides as well. Still, it made a nice change to wake up with something on my mind. Hehe!

At 0605hrs, I emerged from the aged, grotty-looking c1966 made, charity-shop-bought, horribly beige-coloured, £300, Harold’s Haemorrhoid-testing, non-operational, acne-giving, virus-breeding, rickety, easy-to-fall-out-of recliner, with scribble on the note pad to create an ode about the dream for this blog. And that was all I seemed interested in.
The nocturnal catheter pouch urine was darker today. This makes me worry about the District Nurses taking off the entire on Monday, to see if I can manually wee-wee. If it is this colour when they arrive, I can’t see them bothering. They may decide to book me in for a permanent catheter option? I pray not!

I got on the computer, but as soon as I started using it…
Down it went! But I got it back within 15 minutes. Then spent a good one-and-a-half hours making the Dream Ode.

Sorted the waste bags out.

Went to the kitchenette, and the morning mist up high was obliterating views from the window.
The first shot I took, had the flash on.
The 2nd at least you can see the houses.
Neither photos were very good.

Then… nervously off to the wet room. But only slightly this time. Messy again, but at least there were a few torpedo-shaped chunks in there. Haha!

The feet and toes looked surreal with their oh-so-white toe ends. Otherwise, they were looking good.

The Carer Arrived. Had a natter while she did the medicationings and eye drops.

Worked on yesterday’s blog, and within three hours I’d updated and posted it off to WordPress!

Before starting on today’s photos, I fetched an ice cream cornet from the freezer – it was far too soft, so I expect my leaving the freezer door open has done more damage than I expected. When I get time, I’ll have to dish some stuff.

Took a photo to the left of the flats.
Where the morning sun is still behind Mapperley Hill.
Then straight ahead.

I adjusted the strapping on the catheter. Not very well, though. Carer Victor arrived and readjusted the straps for me. Where did the time go? afternoon already!

Wee-weeing well… but…
see how it comes out of the pouch?

Better tackle the ablutioning now. This is going to be a long job. Getting things together and ready to go in.
Oh, I’ll do the waste first. Been tidying up… Oh, Yes!
13:12hrs: To the Wet Room! Charrrge! Well, I limped in.
Pleased with the shaving while standing in a bowl of water at the sink. No trips, slips or balance problems. I even got out and washed and dried the bowl, harm-free!
And as for the shaving, huh, only two cuts! Honestly!
The showering I admit was a bit of a farce. Hit my head on the power box. dropped the loofah twice, and stubbed my toe on the flipping shower chair leg.
Drying off, I knocked a selection of things off of the floor cabinet. I took two photographicalisations of the mess, but neither made it to the SD card.

Even getting into the Protection pants was relatively easy today? I’m not saying it was easy; I meant it was less painful, and no injuries were involved. But it still hurt! Hahaha!

15:15hrs; All done. Got some potatoes in the oven, and back to the computer to get on with this blog.
Getting tired now (16:25hrs), so I’ll get the nosh sorted out.

Carer Marie arrived as I was planning the meal. Showed me a way to shred cheese in a safer way; bless her.
I got on with making the cheesy potatoes, with some of Jenny’s yellow & red tomatoes, fishless fish sticks, And sliced beetroot. The strawberry dessert was on its last sell-by date.
Flavour Rating: 9/10!

I took some snaps earlier, that I forgot to put in here. Well fancy that; Me! forgetting something!
Sky to the North.
Sky to the North, a little higher.
A later shot of the same area.
Even earlier and missed off, a shot of the car park end.

Went into the wet room, to change my PP’s…
and clean & medicate my lower region.
I was flabbergasted to see that the bruise on the left thigh, that I got when taking the last tumble, and two days later had completely vanished – was back again? Impossible, surely? I haven’t taken any knocks or falls for days now.
Ah, unless I took a knock nocturnally… could be?

Carer Victor did the last call. I was asleep when he came, and have little knowledge of how things went, but he had put the night pouch on for me. Getting back to sleep took a while, and when I got there, there were the odd flapping and threshing about awakenings. But at least didn’t go on and on as he has been doing; in fact, he’s given me two nights off… but he’s back, but not with a vengeance this time.

TTFNski, each!
