Another in and out of it day. Emotions, feelings, confidence, and concentration goings from one extreme to the other constantly. I’ve got to go see the Doctor next Wednesday… hang on, I’ll check that on the calender…
Yes, on Wednesday at 08:45hrs. Carer Kara rang to arrange a lift for me with Easy-Link, I’m awaiting confirmation of if they can do it or not.
has been social today, I’ve had many visits from him. Conversely, and have been very kind, not one giving way episode today from either of them ♥.
As I mentioned, my concentration has been terrible. With , and the gums, both painful and it’s a good job the Cartilage Twins eased off.
Here we go with the photo reminders. Haha!

Looks like a sunburnt foot on the night pouch?

I became of multiple pains coming from  and . Along with both  & , as the Carer Arrived to wake me up at 07:15hrs.
Then, as he removed the socks that should have been done last night and put new ones on, we both noticed the shape and state of my legs. A photo was taken of them…
Swelling up had started again!.
had flared up as well.
Also, with Vanessa having a go, the white toe ends are more predominant now. Of course, it’s just pain. A man of my calibre, with a phenomenal in-built pain resistance, it did not bother me in the slightest; I’ll not even mention .

Medications were given to me.

Window Cleaner Joe arrived. I was just about to go to visit the . He soon got the windows done and was off like a shot; he was very busy. Managed to bore him a little while he was doing them within earshot. Hehehe!

But things were again slow to start, and the first dollop was like concrete, then Trotsky followed up… and kept coming and coming… Hahaha!

It took me a while to clean ‘things’ up.
It seems impossible, but this did happen. When I first got the used Depends off, and new ones on…
the pouch had all but filled up?
Beats me!

End car park shot with .

.
Got some spuds in the crock to add to the the remnants of yesterday’s stew. These were different spuds from yesterday, but they, too, had some blight! Threw some of them away. And more later when I cut them to reveal that had blight inside.

After Carer Kara departed, things were vague, to say the least. Thankfully I took photos to assist.
Not many of these made it into the stew. Plenty, most of them, went into the bin bag. Humph!
Must have taken this much earlier.

Ah, a mug of tea that didn’t get drunk (went cold) and a banana that was eaten (Skin seen in the bin).

I seemed to resume my awareness partially, as the pouch filled up again…
I was lucky this one didn’t burst!

Aha! The evening shot of the night lights.
Artistic, but not what I wanted. Hehe!

But the solid torpedo first routine made sure that bled a bit, then go soak in type splashes and spitting gunk that followed the original torpedos.

Mor spuds to throw away.
Served up the meal after Carer Chris had had a little bowl for a treat.

Went with the night pouch tube in hand to wash up the pots. Got sidetracked with the beautiful belated sunset.
Slowly got dimmer as I took each photo.
Bootiful!

on the trolley wheel, as I was putting the things into the drainer.

Didn’t half make me jump!
Ha-Ha!

Ode hue in the flat this morning?

In the kitchen, too?

Nocturnal Nibbling Guilt!

Had a go at the crossword.
That hue is there again?

I got some of the fresh Ada peeled potatoes and cut them up in my intended vegetable stew meal.
Threw most of them away, above is what they looked like inside when sliced…
The thumb this time!
About half of them were alright.

Morning view from the kitchen.

I returned to the main (other) room and wanted to take a photo of the day bag that had filled to the max. So quickly. Could I find what I’d done with ? No! I started a search worthy of Sherlock Holmes, I thought, but it seemed to have disappeared! Hello, grinding in the innards, off to the wet room for another try at an evacuation…
I had a rinse, got a fresh pyjama top and dressing gown on, and went back for another look for the camera. As I was going from one room to another, only three arrived anyway. I was just telling him of my losing the camera… and I remembered where it was… I’d had it with me for the 90-minute search in the pocket of the jammie top! Well, fancy that? Me forgetting something. He saw the funny side. He didn’t put the ankle or leggings straps on, as I’d hoped to get a shower. This didn’t happen, thanks to the blanks!

At long last, I made a start on the blogging…
As the food delivery arrived… That’s the Iceland order that I thought was for next Wednesday! Done it again! I need help, but the Carer can’t do much; the visit times have been halved from 30 to 15 minutes. No time to get everything done that’s needed. Had I needed the ankle & leg strapping put on, Shaq would have had to leave when the time Sean was out. So, no help with dressing or Phorpain gelling on Arthur Itis, Cartilage Chloe or Carole either. Can’t do owt about it, I’m afraid that’s how it is, so be it. Grumph! Back on with the blogging, they tell me I am a little blogger. Hehehe!.

The goods were put away. And what a struggle it was! I swore not to make another order for any food until after next week! Pee’d off with myself now!
Moroccan tomatoes, Eurgh!
Treats for the helpers.
Basics.
Food shoved in the fridge.
And freezer.

I took a shot from the balcony of the end car park.

Did the midday call. She struggled and had to go in case she overran on the schedule. She still made sure things were okay with me. She is off on holiday for a fortnight… that is well-earned, but it shattered my confidence. There’ll be no financial assistance/guidance for a while now. She’s bound to be missed by all of us, such a helpful treasure.

Well, it’s more like one dirty, great, long one. I’m unaware of when it started, but Carer Israel was ringing the chime and came in, and I didn’t know what was what? Don’t laugh or say why bother mentioning it. I’d not done any work on the blog… what was I doing? I may never know!

I perked up a bit and quickly took the BP of; he had to shoot off.

I got the sliced spuds out of the slow cooker and into the stewpan on the stove.
Then, I added some tomatoes and chunky vegetables to the mix, stirred it well, and turned off the heat. So that will be an easy-to-prep meal later.

Back for a third try...
If I don’t pass something soon, an explosion is likely! I hope not like… Haha!

Evening shot.
A terrible shot of the houses below.

A little harder this one.

Went to get the meal heated up, and…
Getting tummy ache now.
The stew might move it along.

The moon seemed very small tonight. I had to zoom in to get this shot… I took four; this is the only one of the moon looking recognisable.
Later, the moon was hidden altogether.

Worked on this blog until gone-midnight again.
(Finished in the morning).

Washing the pots is not easy when you have to lug the Nocturnal catheter bag around with you. I tend to put it down to do something needing both hands and forget about it. Walk away, the bag catches onto something, and the tube yanks in Little Inchie… Argh! Twice tonight! But at least the release valve wasn’t knocked open. I got sorted and thought I’d better get my head down for some much-needed sleep.
Hahaha! As if!

Cheers, everyone.

High & Lowlights…
The Ablutioning sessions, of which there were many, were all unpleasant affairs, with being in full control throughout.
The telephone and Panic-Alarm were still not working.  could not find my mobile phone anywhere. I did eventually find him, hidden within the depths of the itch-creating, bruise-giving, catheter-tube-tugging, crumb-decorated from my nocturnal nibblings, God-awfully uncomfortable, anti-sleep designed, c1966, second-hand, bought for £300 ten years ago from the charity shop, cringingly-grotty, no longer working, dirty beige recliner. Amazingly, I seemed to have wrapped it up in a blue plastic bag & tied it up in the way I would for the waste bin bags? Don’t ask; I cannot remember doing this at all, apparently, I did it in my nocturnal slumber?

ILC (Independent Living Coordinator), Oberstgrüppenfuhreress Warden and Primo Ballerina, Warden Deana, had finally been told that the phone and alarm were not working, and she responded by coming to see me, to explain. She had not been informed until told her this morning. Bless him, of my problem. It turns out, that many other tenants have the same problem and are telephone and Panic-Alarmless, just like what I am. She had rung Virgin about the situation, and got a reply, from .
Apparently, the letters sent out, told us that we had until December whatever to sort out the fibre change; in fact, it was November, not December, in error. Not bad for , those who pay their CO, $62m million-plus salary with guaranteed bonus in shares, and an open-ended expense account. Worryingly, they own or have money invested in every single internet supplier in the UK. Virgin, BT, Vodaphone, EE, Three, Talk-Talk, and dozens of others in Europe! They are all going ‘fibre’. I wonder if they all left people at risk without the safety of their landlines and emergency alarms?
I’ve written before about the failing of . Mainly due to my jealousy of how much Mr Fries gets for letting such things happen, and still gets his million in slaty and bonuses. I did read that during the Covid period, he got a $1m monthly bonus! $62m a year! Jealous? Me? Spit! Especially as he left me in the shit!  Truly Oligarchal!
Anyway, thanks to Deana’s intervention and help, each abandoned and let down by , will receive an adaptor, which will be posted to us. I have got to ask the carer on the day to inform Deana, and she will arrange for it to be fitted for each client. Well, that’s saved s from sending people out to fit them, hasn’t it? Further proof of my suspicion of the smoke and mirrors, thaumaturgy, number-crunching, figure-shuffling, illusion, deception, and hocus-pocusing, that is a daily part of their activities. I’m glad I got that off of my chest… just waiting for the incoming Lawyers (Bet that they have shares in them, too) letter, summons for slander, or whatever it is called

Onward…

Got up at 04:00hrs. I took a photo of the nocturnal catheter pouch and busied away  cleaning and sorting

Great balls of fire! I nearly took a decent shot of the early morning view from the kitchen window… Wow!

During the ‘Couldn’t get a connection with for two hours”, my spirits sank to a new depth.
Surely they had not cut off the internet as well! Argh!
Turned off the computer, and I tried again, but no luck.
Reset the router. But no luck!
Took the router plug out of the socket. Waited half a minute, and back in and turned on the power. Surely this time, I thought. But no luck!
While I was pondering on what else I could try…
Norton came on, telling me I was connected to an unsafe connection? I did a Norton Virus Check. Then goon with the blogging at long last…
Within a minute, the connection was lost again!
I tried resetting the router again.
Minutes later, it was back on.
Had to go through another Norton Check.
But this time, the stayed on. Well, for an hour or so.
It went down several times again later, but I didn’t have to resort to all that bother these times. But of course, I am developing a hatred of Norton now; it comes up each time I reconnect… Ah, I wonder if they have investments in Norton too?
Scumballs!.

A couple of photographs here that confused me.
Why did I take this one?
And what was this one of?

Got the waste bags sorted.

Then the Asda order arrived.
The man put them in the provided Iceland bags.
Bad news on the tomatoes. They were Spanish and bitter foul tasting. I wish they’d say where they were from on the internet listings!
Wonder how many will have black spots on the this time?
Bottom freezer draw.
Middle freezer draw.
I didn’t photo the top draw, cause I
couldn’t open it. Too full! Hehe!
Top food cupboard.
Bottom food cupboard.
I’ll not starve then! Mind you, I might bleed to death, die from another stroke to heart attack; thanks very much to cocking things up again and leaving me without a lifeline. Humph!

Teatime views.
An odd bit of blue on the clouds? Pretty though!

Curried beans, tomato passata, with
I got a mite carried away with the seasoning?
However, Taste-Rating: 8.6/10.

– – – SO SADLY MISSED – – – –

I woke up (as you do) at 03:35hrs; it was cold. I was cold and getting old, but I was bold and rose from the clutches of the itch-creating, bruise-giving, catheter-tube-tugging, crumb-decorated from my nocturnal nibblings, God-awfully uncomfortable, anti-sleep designed, c1966, second-hand, bought for £300 ten years ago from the charity shop, cringingly-grotty, no longer working, dirty beige recliner, and checked on the condition of the overnight .
Not so good, a little too dark again. I emptied the pouch and packed it up for disposal. Then realised I had not got the mobile phone with me. With the landline and alarm not working, I aim to ensure it is always with me, just in case of an , and I go down or trip over something, or into something again this week. I fetched my up-to-date modern Nokia mobile phone and put it safely in the dressing gown pocket; I even remembered to switch the lock on it.
.
But had to change plans as the need for the Porcelain Throne arose. Off to the wet room, naturally taking Nokia Nelly with me, and of course. As soon as I started hobbling any distance, the terrible twins, and her newly formed sister, started the odd bit of botherisationing. The third time, nearly had me over, luckily I was putting my bum on the WC at the time. Another messy evacuation.
I decided I would have time to get the done before the Carer came; it was only about 05:30hrs, and the Carers usually come later on weekends. So I did!
No intention of having a shower; why? I’ll tell Ayer… When I struggled to get the diabetic socks off, flakes of skin shot all over the wet room, and are a bugger to get up from the floor due to the non-slip surface. If I had gone in the shower, there was so much skin peeling off it may well have blocked the drain. I did my best to clean the flakes off first thing. But I was not too successful. Cleaned the teggies & rinsed out the blood from the gums, and got on with shaving. I’d been doing well lately with very few cuts and nicks being suffered… but not this morning. As far as I could tell, I accrued five on the neck. Nothing serious, though, and the Brut aftershave dealt with stopping the bleeding well enough.
I sorted through the medications to find something to put on the flaking skin on both my legs, forehead, and chin. I tried the Sudocrem cream. No good!
The legs, on closer inspection, had gone like chicken legs. And to think, two weeks ago, they looked like elephant

legs? Hehe! Seriously, they were so skinny for a change.
The red on the lower legs is where I scrubbed a bit to get the flaky skin removed. It was not easy to do.
I put some of the cream on the legs and will ask whoever the Carer is if they can manage okay to get the & diabetic socks back on for me. By the time I cleaned the legs up, they looked a bit better to me.
I was about to sort out which of the many varieties of old men’s nappies I had in stock, but the innards urged me to change plans and get back down post-haste to the WC seat without any delay. So I did. But the came out was the longest-ever blast of wind?
So, I searched for a pair of pants that might not be as painful as the others. I opted for the larger ones this time, the Morrisons Unisex type. What a farce it was getting them on! I kid you not!
I utilised the small picker-upperer, trying to take care not to split the fabric of the pants with the sharp end. Again, not easy… in fact, I made such a mess that I was on the verge of leaving the damned pants off! But daren’t, in case I get a bleed from both at the same time as .
Well, I did the usual and got my bottom in the corner of the room, in case I lost my balance. (It’s not unknown that I do this often, Haha!). The shower wall grab bar was within easy reach, and the small picker upperer hanging on the bar… so far, so good.
The most dangerous of the legs is the right one. He has, along with , and is famous for having me over, the no warning routine. Now, of course, these are joined by the,  I got him in without too much trouble; however, now the real fight begins.
I have to pray that Chloe and Carole are not going to give way on me, as I have to put my full weight on the right leg and physically lift the left leg up to get it in the PPs!
Not that the left leg has more problems; he has less than the right leg. Only and to cope with. But, also, it was him that got shot, and bending him is even more painful! I haul him up and try to hold him there while reaching for the short picker-upperer to hold open enough room to get the foot in the pants. , , , and ,

Daily complicatedness, don’t yo

u think?

That is because it is! Particularly Today! I managed, in response to a mini-leg-dance from the right leg, I tore the PP right down and did consider crying at the time. I had to get another pair of PPs and start all over again… Then I noticed all the dried skin from the legs and head that had fallen during my losing first-round battle with getting the PPs on. What a mess! However, getting the fresh PPs on did go much better… just as painful, mind you.
Then, the cleaning up of the skin, blood and bits of torn PP had to be sorted.
This took me ages. I got the waste and rubbish sorted. A big bag was made up, a modicum of cursing took place, and an iota of self-pity may have escaped.
With all the flipping, kerfuffling and cleaning up, I think the session took me well over two hours! Fortuitously, the Carer arrived late, it being the weekend, so I didn’t miss her coming. I got the dressing gown on and made a brew of Glengettie at long last.

Well, fancy that!
gave way again as I was taking the mug back into the kitchenette. Another chunk of luck here: I was in the hallway when it happened, so I had the benefit of the walls nearby to slide down slowly on my way to the floor. Thus avoiding any nasty injury. And, it wasn’t too far for me to crawl to get to the c1966, £300 charity shop bought, second-hand, wincingly grotty, beige coloured, not working, crumb-covered from the nocturnal nibblings, itch-making, uncomfortable, virus-breeding, easy-to-fall-out-of, recliner, to haul my rhinoceros type body back up its skinny, frail legs again.

For several long, uninterrupted hours, I got on with blogging with the usual errors and mistakes in abundance.

Then the innards gurgled, and wind escaped from my rear end. So, off to the I hobbled.
Another variation in this evacuation. I’ve had a couple like this before, which proved as stinky as the earlier ones!
Still, a change is as good as a rest, as some idiot said. Winston Churchill, I think it was who said it?

I’ve missed some earlier photographs and tales off! Sorry about that; I’m still miffed and upset at the struggles I had with the , and associated frustrations and agonies that I had to contend with… and will all need doing again tomorrow!
I took this one on the right of the morning view. Eerie, misty and typical November weather for Nottingham.
Grateful Thanks to the Community Nurses who sent me the boots yesterday. I found this morning that they had also not only sent the , but fresh Diabetic socks as well!
Which, made a fantastic job of fitting on for me. Thanks, mate, a great job well done! As you can see in the photograph above left, Israel’s fitting was so good that I could, with his help, get the slippers on top of the strappings. I was very impressed!

Flying around seagulls caught my eye a little earlier through the balcony windows. I went out to investigate. I believe they were all hunting for birds, rats and squirrels to eat for tea. I watched their ploy for an hour; it was fascinating. I could see doves and magpies Fluttering into the trees and bushes to hide. The gulls circled continuously, and when a chap with a little dog appeared, some of them dived down and circled the dog and man? Then, a larger group of the gulls circled where a dove had gone into the trees near the gravel path up the hills. I’m sure I saw the dove in the beak of one of the now noisier than ever gulls as it carried it away, up into the trees in the park, with a couple noisy gulls chasing after it, after a taste of the dove no doubt?
The centre-right picture shows some gulls on the ground; they must have spotted a squirrel or the like?
Riski should send them back to the seaside, coming here eating we land-lubbers birds! Hehe!.

Here is the answer to the little puzzle. I don’t mind admitting, I thought at first, no, no, they’ve made a mistake here, that number 29 can’t be right at all! Oh, no! Finally, I got it! I’d not noticed that only the one cherry was on the bottom line you see. Me becoming an Arithmophobic in my old age, didn’t help me. Took me hours to work it all out. Tsk!

Carer Taslini came. By then, I was well tired and confused.
She got her name on the Christmas list and will collect it later. All good.

FOOD, GLORIOUS FOOD!
Potatoes – slow oven cooked.
Cut in halves, flesh taken out into mixing bowl.
(A certain amount [quite a lot] fell on the floor).
Unfortunately, when it came to seasoning the spuds, I only had white cheddar extra strong cheese, now out of my favourite, usual Red Leicester Cheese. Added some sea salt and basil on with the mixture, oh, and some absolutely gorgeous not butter from Flora. Mini Hog pork pies and delicious Dutch mini tomatoes.
Taste-Rating: 8.8/10.

After consuming every bit of the meal, I went to get the washing up done.
I thought I’d try again to get some decent photographicalisations of the evening’s dusky view. But decent ones I couldn’t do.
Although the second one was not as bad as the first one that I took. They both came out lighter than they seemed to the naked eye… but with my eyes affected by , , Saccades Sandra, and it’s not surprising.
Typing this reminded me of my upcoming visit to the QMC, EENT, to have the eyes checked that have been done to correct the Cataracts in both. I think they may then explain the procedure/stroke treatment (Laser again?) to tackle in my left eye. I checked on the calendar; It’s on Friday the 1st of December. Tuesday, the 21st of November, is the first of four visits to the Audio Clinic on the Ropewalk. has arranged the lifts with to get me there and back. Then I’ll have to make sure I remember to ask to do it again three more times for me, and also arrange a lift there and back for the QMC ENNT visit; life’s a bugger at times.
Getting the ablutionings and dressed into outdoor clothing is a mammoth task for me nowadays.
Getting the catheter in the optimum position is vital to avoid crushing and, essentially, scarily from.
Remember to empty the before leaving. I’m not drinking anything before going out to avoid the pouch filling and having nowhere to empty it in private! Cause it will mean the removal of the trousers to get at it, and having to struggle to rearrange the removed , to protect poor little when it goes back on… Remember to take the hearing aids with me to the Ropewalk and all spectacles with me to the EENT. January radiology at the City Hospital, then the FND assessment at the Mental Health Nuthall Hospital in Bulwell is coming up…
I’m going to stop talking about these problems… I’ve only depressed and scared myself now! Hehe!

I sank down onto the c1968, tatty, scruffy, unkempt, uncomfortable, virus, microorganism, bug, bacterium, bacillus, germ, parasite producing, and disease-fermenting second-hand, eyesorely-horrendously grungy beige-coloured, £300, charity shop bought, crumb-retaining, moth-eaten, non-working, bacillus encouraging, incommodious, Haemorrhoid Harold testing, recliner, in search of Sweet Morpheus. I couldn’t find him!
started tormenting me straight away. I really didn’t realise just how many things I had done wrong in the past. Mistakes, wrong choices made, and lamentable decisions I’d taken and made. at one point, had me believing that getting shot the first time was my own stupid fault! He would not ease up, so I clambered out of the recliner and hobbled into the kitchen to put the kettle on. I tried to take a close-up shot from the kitchenette window of the housing on view. I really tried to hold things steadily and this photo is the outcome. In the morning, when I put this on here, it looked to me like a type of weird art from? Maybe I could call these failed photos, PNP? Hehehe!

Another good-coloured nocturnal pouch of wee-wee. Hehe!

Struggled out of the £300 second-hand shop bought, c1966. Moth-eaten, bedraggled, cringingly-beige-coloured, grotty, dilapidated, crumb-containing from my nocturnal nibblings, bug-ridden, itch-inspiring, not working recliner. And into the kitchen to get some potatoes in the crock-pot to have later… much later on.

Barely discernable in this shot is Venus.

Emptied the three waste bags into one. Last night’s was not taken, I spotted.

Grafting away at making misreckonings, goofs, errors, typographical & grammatical cock-ups, blunders, and the usual selection of general mistakes while working on this blog opening. I was so very annoyed with myself.

Lovely cloud formations…
Developing early in the day.

arrived. Looking somewhat weary, bless him. It was the last call of his shift.
Richard got the ankle and leg straps attached to my limbs. I was as much use a fart-in-a-cullendar to help him. Bravely, he persisted and got them right after several tries. Dealt out the medications. And rubbed some Phorpain Gel into for me. Much appreciated.

Blogging until did the midday call. Painkillers and I declined to have any of the applied, as after Marie goes, I’m hoping to get the ablutions sorted out and, at long last, have a shower. But I forgot to ask to take off the Another from me!

Getting the straps off myself was a painful and risky procedure. But, I needed a good ablution session, shave and shower, a freshen up all round!

So, it had to be done, and it was. Annoyed and inspired while carrying out this task, were, , , , and . While getting the things ready, I got a short sharp attack from
The teeth cleaning caused a little gum bleeding. Well, I have more gum than teeth left now! Tsk! Shaving went well again; there was only one little nick on the neck.
The curtain rail hook fell off again. The stepladder was used to reach it. Lost a lot of time getting the pin back in. Showering was eventually started.

I enjoyed this. And had no Whoopsiedangleplops under the shower!

View to the right. Got it right this time!

I think came. I’m lost and in a rather confused state writing this tomorrow afternoon. Mislayed my notes, and it’s been a busy day for me. So many things happening, that I seem to have lost more than just the notes; I’ve lost track altogether! Marie got both the diabetic socks and back on for me. It’s a lot warmer now! Thanks!

A brew of Glengettie tea.
I let it go cold again!

Getting dark earlier today.

Late call.

Getting the very late nosh sorted, took these shots.
I tried a close-up again. Not too good, but different?

Sliced the cooked spuds and added the vegetable soup on the hob. Gently heated it after adding some seasonings first. Taste Rating: 8/10.

A day of vagueness, the brain full of wanderlust.
After staying up until the early hours of the morning hours to try and make some progress on blogging. I didn’t get up until the Carer woke me.
The ablutionalisationings took me well over two hours, and I could not shower either, or even wash the usual one foot now, with the new strapping over the compression sock, and on the masses of compression bandages on top of the woolly wrapping, I’m beginning to smell I think?
The day buzzed by, and no blogging was done at all.
And I nearly had a tumble and fall.
So forgive this catch-up for being small…
It’s Monday night now, as I type and scrawl,
Will I get any sleep at all?

Straps and diabetic socks on the left…
both legs…
& ,

crippling .

Views from the balcony.
The Tree Copse, can no longer visit, sadly.
The mud-slide dwindling.
Straight ahead. Gloom!

But in the afternoon…
The cloudless sky did look wonderful.

Evening Nosh Preperationing…
Sorting out the dodgy Asda potatoes.
Then I cheered exponentially
(Is that the right word?).
Yes, I looked it up!
Flavour Rating: 7/10 – Decent nosh.

I felt I was just about to nod off, and a mob of,
happy-go-lucky, pot-smoking yobboes in the
bottom field got the Reggae music going.
Bless them!

This day was, well… Mayhem! Again!
Had to really cut back on blogging. As the nurse said I’ve to keep my leg raised! I’ll tell yer in a bit…

First thing on waking. Well, after passing wind, and sensing that both ingrowing toenails, on the left foot, and on the right, were painful, I bent down to remove the night pouch from the clutches of , and gave me head a wobble… not the usual one; this was an instant version, without the usual warning signs. This told me today, he was going to enjoy himself at my expense. (He did later, too!)
I was so amazed when I saw that the nocturnal pouch was completely empty. Yet the day pouch valve was in the open position? What happened there, I don’t know! So, I picked up and shook the pouch and tubing, and within a few moments, the urine flowed gushingly from the day to the night bag?
All seemed to be working again. lingered a little. Had this just actually happened?

I rose from the £300 second-hand shop bought, c1966, ache-making, moth-eaten, bedraggled, cringingly-beige-coloured, grotty, dilapidated, crumb-containing from my nocturnal nibblings, bug-ridden, itch-inspiring, not working recliner, and limped into the kitchen. Limping due to a combination of ailments this time. which was stinging something horrible, and challenging me to scratch at it. But I resisted. . , , the toes as mentioned, and assisted me to knock my torso against the door frame going into the kitchen. So, joined in the assault!
To make me feel even worse, the three photos I took of the morning view were all crappy!

Oh, double-dear!
Oh, treble-dear!

Off to the wet room…To get the ablutions tended to… Starting with a sudden urgent need to utilise the Porcelain Throne.
Got my feet in a bowl of soapy water with baking powder added. To soak-clean the feet while having a shave
The almost expected teeny-weeny cut, not in the neck-hole this time, but behind the earhole. The only places left that grow hair on my head. A swift sprinkle of the Brut aftershave
put an end to the leaking haemoglobin.
Then, after emptying and washing the bowl, I got into the shower. Closed the curtain, moved the chair into position, lowered the shower head to a reachable position, then…
opened the shower curtain, moved the chair, exited and out into the hallway, to turn the shower power on in the hallway. Humph! Back in, closed the curtain, and moved the chair back into position. Then I the on the chair leg. Swore, cursed a little more, and; and then I noticed the blood blood that was trickling down my leg from poor old. The pad on the geyser papule was almost dropping off, and a smidgeon of blood was making its way down the right leg as well.
I’d already decided that things were not going well, and would probably get worse, without any input for EQ either..
Got the shower finished without any other painful incidents.
The pad on the right leg , had stayed in position all through the process.

That’s the end of any detailed stuff. Rushing now…

Rubbish done.

Found that I’d left the potatoes in the crock pot for 20hrs! Tsk!

Mug of tea, Glengettie of course.

I Heath Robinsoned a new papule covering.

Good colour in the pouch.

The homemade dressing is still on.
engaged!

Did I put the food delivered on or not?
Nice!
Fridge choker-bloc!
Freezer, too!

Late rain.
We need it, not as bad as some areas do, though.

Just as well they were out of some foods!

Strawberry treats for the helpers.
Bananas, and my favourite three varieties of biscuits.
Maryland Cookies (UK), Lemon Puffs (Poland) & LU Petit Beurre. (France)… if only I was allowed more mugs of tea, I could eat them faster and more of them! Hehe!

Super Nosh! 9.2/10!
I made short work of this one!

Well, well, well, another farcical rising from the aged, grotty-looking c1966-made, charity-shop-bought, horribly beige-coloured, £300, Harold’s Haemorrhoid-testing, non-operational, acne-giving, virus-breeding, rickety, easy-to-fall-out-of recliner, with its new air-cushion. Supplied by my treasured Sarah, of the Rehabilitation Falls Team.
My right ankle was pouring water out all over the cover, my legs, the chair the legs were upon, and some reached the carpet! , Tsk!
Luckily I had a dry pad nearby, left from putting on last night’s plaster. I used that to stem the flow. Before cleaning up, the night pouch had to be removed. So I did!
In the few seconds, it took me to release the bag… The new plaster fell off! Off to the wet room to sort the pouch out, and used some toilet paper on the papule, held on with some medical tape.
Back to clean up the room. I had a wash and started to clean up Little Inchie. Oh, dear! The blood had dried, and getting the PPs off was a painful job!
The word Arrgh! That seems the optimum comment to use!
More cleaning up, me this time. The legs, Oh, and the wet room floor, too. All medicated where possible and cleaned up, I returned to the wet room to have a shave.

It didn’t go too well! Then the teeth started bleeding while cleaning them. The Brut aftershave was utilised. And did a good,, if stinging job!
Putting the creams away, I knocked some items off of the floor cabinet…
Some fell behind the WC, so I got the plastic picker-upperer I keep in there to retrieve the tubes. I got entangled in the bleach and cleaner bottles, and I decided to yank the picker-upperer free in my temper… Not a good idea on reflection; I no longer have a plastic picker-upperer… well, I have actually, but it’s in about six pieces, three of them broken!
♬ Morning has broken, like the ♬ So is Inchy’s spirit, now!

Carer Richard arrived.
He got the medications done, eye drops and put the next to last pad on the geyser for me; bless him. He also told me that he had checked the tablets & we don’t need to order any this week.

The pad he put on to replace the Heath Robinson affair I’d got on, stayed on, and is still there now, 15hrs later! Well done to Richard the Lionheart!

I got on the computer to update yesterday’s blog. But…
Liberty-Global oligarchs had failed again with their pathetic internet service. Although no doubt experts in Smoke & mirrors: someone who draw attention away from often embarrassing or unpleasant figures or issues, and figure manipulators, they are not very good at supplying a service. But nae bother this time it came back on shortly, and up to now, has stayed online for 17hrs!
I spent four hours grafting away. Making cock-ups, mistakes and errors.
Carer Marie called. We were both a little down and seemed to cheer each other up a smidge, bless her. She suggested I try eBay to get Olive Oil and some slippers, so I thanked her.
Spent a while longer and got the Sunday blog sent off at last.

I investigated the eBay option for Samaritan Olive oil, and I found a pair of slippers that looked comfy.

I later got an email for each one of the items, on the right here.

Back on the blogging to make a start on this one.

I went for the third time to the Porcelain Throne and was tickled pink when the evacuated product flowed solidly for the first time in days. Not back to normal yet, but close. Then again, what is normal?
My releases seem to change to opposites each day sometimes.
Leaving the wet room, a burst forth. Not enough to have me over, but an excellently aimed wobble and my right shoulder clashed with the door frame. No need to tell you, but I will, kicked off. Well fancy that!

Carer Israel arrived, with a letter that had been delivered. There was a date-clash, between Audio Clinic and the delivery of the slippers and or Samaritan Olive Oil! Cobblers!
The plaster thingy, he said could stay on until the morning. So, it did! All I did was bend down while sitting in the chair, to have a feel if the padding felt wet; it didn’t to me, but started off, and stayed with me for the rest of the night. I suppose I ought to be glad that left me in relative peace. Hehehe! Blimey, the day bag, was all but at bursting point! I cleared it just in time to avoid a flood of urine all over me, the flat, and maybe the Carer!
When he left, I got the fodder prepared, and tasty it was too. I took a photo of the fine feast… but found (on Tuesday), that I had not put the SD card into Humph!
The view from the kitchenette window when washing the pots & dishes, I decided I needed photographicalisationing. I made sure the SD card was in first, this time. It was a one for me. Straight away I envisioned the higher cloud left, being a shark or swordfish, with its long bill upper and in front, open mouth below, and even an eye in this view?

Nightie-Night!

Too dark this morning. But why bother. Tsk!

As I was going to the , I thought of what I think was a witty retort to use on this blog… So I got out and took this photo…
Notice how it’s a little askew, did you?
That’s because, I was on my way down to the floor, following a  . Clouting my knees as I landed on the hard floor, and en route my right elbow against the door. I felt sorry for the neighbour below!
The toilet roll had only been used once, and there was only a quarter of it left by the time I’d cleaned up after the evacuation! Seeing in in the WC, reminded me of a dollop of Chilli Con Carne but yellow in colour. Eurgh!

Back to the Carer’s table and took the BP.
It’s been more consistent lately.

Off to the kitchen, I plodded…
And took this early morning view.
Then got the kettle on.
Made a tasty brew of Glengettie tea.
Tea GlengettieAnd onto the computerisationing. Where I stayed, making error after cock-up, for a few hours. Until arrived. We had a natter as she medicated me, did the eye drops, and departed. Not before putting a pad on.

To .

More computing mishaps, then out I poddled onto the balcony. Took this very sad to me, photo of the tree copse
The sad bit is that I can no longer go for a walk-through as I did for so many years almost daily. Humph!
The end car park mud-slide was building up in the rain.

Went to make my second mug of tea.
Checked on the soup left over from last night. It was edible enough to have tonight… and hastily responded to my innards message to get back to the

The yellow evacuated liquid, now had some red and black in it? The toilet roll was used up again! I anticipated this and had taken in two more rolls earlier on.

returned. She was tired, bless her.

Blogging, then…
Took these two photos of the beautiful clouds…

I stopped blogging for a while. Got a waste bag made up.
Then went to the kitchenette, to add a can of garden peas to the soup in the saucepan… !
Putting the empty can in the new waste bag, I managed to cut my finger down the nail of the sharp edge of the tin. I didn’t bleed much, and it was a teeny-weeny cut anyway. I washed it and put a plaster on it…  cutting the plaster, I cut the same finger on the other side of the nail!

I thought this was a smidge comical…
Adding sauce, the soup was vegetable.
I then dropped the sauce bottle!
I think my bad luck, may be perpetual!

Back to the computer.
.
The first fail all day; are they getting better?

came. A nice gal, who liked a natter and laugh, which suited and cheered me up a lot. Got the tablets issued, eye drops in, and accepted an ice cream. Not seen her for a long time. I asked if I could take her photo for this blog, and she agreed. Here it is…

The day bag was emptied.
The colour started as a number four, this morning. In the afternoon it turned rather dark, a 5 on the NHS scale. This time…
back to a better NHS-3, I reckon.

I took three photos of the amazing night view…
From a distance…
A little closer…
Then close-up! They were all a little fuzzy-looking, but still looked wonderful to me.

I started the soup warming and had to visit the Throne again…
porc tttThe tablets don’t seem to be helping with the Diarhorrea?
They have always helped in the past? Shame!.

Carer Richard arrived without ringing the door chime, nearly gave me a heart attack, when he woke me up! Hehehe!
The lad gave me painkillers and asked if needed any Peptac or the night pouch attaching. I explained that I had not had a meal yet, so no need to put the bag on for me. I’d take the Peptac after eating. Ricard checked the medication drawer, and put the eye drops in for me.

FOOD, GLORIOUS FOOD!

Taste-Rating: 9/10.

I saw this meal off without waste! Haha!

Washing the pots up, I took photos of the evening view again.
More blurred this time.
.
Not my best photographicalisationing!

Time to take the Peptac. So, I took the Peptac. Then went to drain the day bag ready to put the night pouch on, and the urine colour had gone to a 6 on the NHS scale.
Oh, what a todoo!

Inchy: Fri 22 Sept 2023, Lymphorrhea Lesion Leslie leaks a lake! And some Old Odes Galore!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
But the new spectacles are not up to scratch – Mind you, I have already scratched the lens on them. Cognitive Impairment Iris, the water geyser on the right leg has had to be bandaged… by me, what a mess I made of it. Little Inchie is giving nearly as much pain as Back-Pain-Brenda is! Plus, Concentration Konrad is along with all of these, making it hard work! Can’t hear very well either. Humph!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Such a bad day for me. Worst in a long time. Confused, even more forgetful. Back-Pain-Brenda, Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley, Little Inchie bleeding, as were indeed poor Harold’s Haemorrhoids and the teeth. Then as I was about to get my head down in the early hours of this morning (Saturday), one of the right lymphatic leg leakage gysers burst open! Anyway, I must at least try to keep to at least an imitation of the events’ chronological order. (Which it is already tp late to do, innit?) But the chances of that are best minimal –  in fact, I can guarantee they and the grammar will leave you as confused as I am! Tons of things have been missed off this record. Due to my impressively effective habit of losing things – like the notepad I wrote all my notes on… the hearing aids, which I got out to show Kara two days ago, and have not got the foggiest where I put them! Oh, and the new reading glasses have absconded as well. I’m not sure whether to blame Dementia Doreen or Cognitive Impairment Iris. Maybe the constant pain I’m in is sending me a smidge more doolally than it normally does?

Great colour in the nocturnal catheter night bag.

Ten hours later, with little in the way of memory, and realising the notebook had done a runner. Liberty-Global Virgin Media had gone down at least…

Back-Pain-Brenda had forced me to take extra forbidden by the District Nurse, painkillers. Then, poor Little Inchie started bleeding as I bent down to retrieve biscuit barrel, and hit my head on the edge of the cabinet. The left Cataract eye, felt like it had glass in it, and assisted Confusion Conrad in making this a terrible day for me.

Off to the Porcelain Throne…
This procedure was repeated five or six times over the day. With the same result! Zilch!

The toes remain in a two-tone shade.

Sorted the evening bags out.

I do recall Carer Chis coming n the last call of the day.
He cheered me up a smidgeon. I took his photo as he was preparing to give me the Maxitrol Eye Drops. Note how he keeps the light bulb covered as he puts them in for me?
Feeling a little perked up now, I took his Bloof Pressure etc. and put it in the NHS thingamajig. After the lad had gone, I inputted it, with excellent results coming back. Insisted he takes a drinkie & nibbles in thanks for his kindness.

Got the Wednesday blog finished at long last, and posted it of just before midnight. Realising as I did, that the potatoes on the crockpot had been cooking now for about 18 hours!
I went to investigate the condition of them… Haha! They were fine! Just right, but they had been in a low-heat setting.
I put the cheese & onion pasty in the microwave and went to attempt a wet room evacuation on the ? Porcelain Throne…
No, nothing moved. I might have my stomach blow up if I don’t get a clearout before long.

Got the meal served up, and washed the pots & pans. Nothing exciting I know, but I enjoyed it all the same. So tired out now, still with pains and aches, especially so with Back-Pain-Brenda and Little Inchies sufferings. Flavour-Rating: 7.6/10!

As I was just putting the dish and cutlery in the bowl of water to wash them… slipped and I nearly went over, clouted my knuckles on the corner of the sink, and at the same time felt wet dripping on my right foot. My immediate thought was that the retaining clip on the catheter must have opened… Then it dawned on me, the was now on my left leg?
Oh, ‘ecky thump!.
One of the Lymphorrhea Leslie water geysers had burst open, and the fluid coming out was spreading from between my toes, all over the kitchenette floor. That’s why the stick slipped I think? No panic, though! Oh, no… just the most humungous pissed-off session of my life! Which turned into a self-pitying bout of depression at my rotten, ever-worsening state of health medically and mentally.
I was so looking forward to getting some sleep after being up for so long and suffering a horrendous day… well, much more than 24 hours. Now, I struggle to find the tapes, bandages and pads, which I have never applied on my own before. I found the equipment quickly, as the flow of Lymph fluid dwindled to just a slow seeping-out stage.

Let’s face it, there couldn’t be much left in my body to come out after the imitation Niagra Falls event! Hehehe!  It felt like I was wading through water as I got into the other room with the assorted medical stuff.
Uncertain about how to go with applying the coverings, I pressed on and hoped for the best. (Hoped for the best? Me? Hehehe!) I seem to recall several worries at this stage. This is not unusual as Tom Jones sang. I’ve to clean the mess up in the kitchen yet. What if I can’t stop the flow?
I recognised now what the bits of white on the kitchen floor were; I think they were skin.
Dizzy Dennis & Back-Pain-Brenda visited me, due to my breaking my strict instructions for the Falls Lady Sarah. As KI had no choice but to bend down to reach the lesion. It felt okay, and I was sure the flow had stopped within minutes of putting on my Heath Robinson medications.
Then noticed a new bruise on my other leg. Due mayhap, to my banging it on the cabinet as I stopped myself tumbling?

The agony never stops for muggings here. By the time I’d cleaned up the kitchen floor and mess, I found myself apologising to Back-Pain-Brenda… as if that was going to stop her hurting? Tsk!.
Inchy’s Ode to Getting Old

A picture I’d taken and forgot to put on earlier,
Today has been worthy of a two-finger gesture!

The hurt, confusion, and mental conjecture,
I miss nattering, a good blathering or clishmaclaver,
Old age brings ills, lurgies and conjecture…
Fears, and worries, one can’t disencumber.
I used to ruminate, contemplate, consider,
My brain’s now an expert at ecdemomania,
I was considered a flibbertigibbeter,
I often wonder over life, whysoever?
Philosophy is hard when one’s not clever,
Although, I used to be a willing forgiver…
Oh, forgive me, I’m starting to yatter…
Although, does this really matter?
I’m also known as a prognosticator,
An empath, clairvoyant, or prophesier,
Closer to the grave, I’m more of a toeier,
Now the brains getting slower, foggier…
Just to think, I was a half-decent squash player,
Ageing, deciding, opting? No, I’m now a procrastinator…
With physical and mental pains… it’s a bugger!
