The days get harder & longer,
I’m turning into a whinger,
Difficult to wash, not that I’m too eager,
I may be developing ablutophobia?
My broken rotting teeth are acicular,
But the nurses have been avuncular,
Learnt I’ve now got Ideational Apraxia,
(I’ll look it up later…)
Leaking legs, my brain goes into auto-closure,
It’s a battle to keep my composure.
Dark depression lingers… Howsoever…
Later on, I made some Leicester Cheesy potato!

Woke late, nearly 07:00hrs: Mind you I didn’t get my head down until about 04:00hrs, I stayed up all night to get caught up with the blogging. Got the pouch emptied and changed, and needed (I thought) to go to the wet room to visit the Throne. I was wrong!
Only one long blast of wind!
arrived as I was cleaning the blood from
and poor battered about
… I spoke with her through the open door. She kindly asked if I needed any help.
She got the medications sorted, and we had a natter. I do love a laugh and a chinwag! But, I forgot to ask her to put the leg strap back on for me. I’ll ask when she returns. Jenny also took the washing down for me.
This means that the
strap and stocking could be cleaned: bless her. As she was about to leave, the Asda order arrived. A big one, but no hassle about storing stuff away; the majority of the order was Christmas pressies, nibbles and drinks, for the medicos and Carers. She got them in the kitchen for me, not a lot; most of it went in the spare room.

I also got some more tonic and soda water to appease the demands of my non-working bladder.

No wash, no shave, the day was belting passed fast again. And I sank into a ‘Soddit-Mode’, and pressed on with the blogging. With the usual memory losses, mistakes, cock-ups and lack of sufficient concentration.
Unbeknownst to me, the District Nurse came in and made me jump. Hehehe! This is how the legs looked after a night with no straps on.
Today, I had to have another strap put on the right leg.
which looked like this.
She put some pads on the wounds, before putting on the diabetic decompression sock, and then…
After both straps and socked legs were done…
and now having chicken legs, the new slippers could be got into! I thanked her, and she said that she would be back, ‘Just Like Arnie’, on Friday to check.
A Photo of the Asda bits here, I forgot.
I selected three potatoes, to use later to use making some cheesy baked spuds.
Many more hours were spent without any interruptions. Not that I needed them today. The mind would float away, then the left-leg-up periods. No nodding off at all. Back to the computer, and misspellings, typographical errors, grammatical mistakes, heterography clangers and various howlers flowed. My concentration was minimal. Annoyingly, I had no idea why?
Do you think it might be something with all the nurses calling on me and getting me excited? Haha!
I started an early nosh.
I’d got the spuds from the oven, making a right mess dropping bits of potato all over the floor and treading on them, while scraping the flash out of the husks, into the basin with the cheese in it. Bashed them about and mixed it all up. I added sea salt and no-butter butter as I did my best to blend the mixture together.
Back in the oven to crisp up for an hour, and had another feast to eat! After that, I settled down with my legs and feet up on the Carers chair. Carer Leuman returned and took off the leg attachments for me. Dealt out the medications and off to his home. I thanked him for his help & wished him well.
After he’d gone, I realised that the pads had been leaking. No bother; they soon stopped.
Then, back on with the blogging. Where I am now, at 03:15hrs! Better try to get some sleep in.
Zzz!
