Inchy: Tuesday 29th August 2023 – Common Sense Embargo Day

What a fantastic day it was today it was! Marvellous, gay, abandoned, happy, rewarding, stimulating...
Fair enough, it’s just that I’m getting fed up to the one-and-a-half back teeth I’ve got left; with my own wailing & moaning about life’s naturally unlucky, perversive, frustrating pattern of late! In fact, it was a lot easier than yesterday’s doom, gloom and despondency & pessimism. But, not by a lot!
I did the usual going off track when doing the blogging and found myself working on the rhyming words list again. So, it is now nearly 22:00hrs and I’m only just starting on this blog. Tired out, weary and fighting falling asleep. I’ve not yet had a meal, or shave, and I’ve been up since 02:55hrs! has had far greater success in getting me confused and misled. But one thing was like yesterday: instead of giving myself bad language and feeling sorry for myself, I’ve just said ‘Sod-it’ a few times, and was totally unaware of the things I’d not done, and started different things done, which confused me more than ever!
I think I need help. Hehehe!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Woke, I looked at the clock and tried to get back to sleep, but without any luck, but I did try.

So about 02:55hrs, I got the night pouch removed from , then hauled my elephantine body from the c1966, £300 pound, second-hand charity-shop bought, crumb-containing, odour-retaining, Harold’s Haemorrhoid-testing, nauseatingly beige coloured, non-working, virus-breeding recliner. Temporarily, I had a desire to get so much done… it didn’t last long.

I went to check that no taps (faucets) or the stove had been left on, and I got the kettle on for a mug of Glengettie.

Got the waste bags sorted out.

To the wet room for a wash and get the medicationalisationings tackled. Shortages of medications: Germoloid, Germolene, Olive Oil and Nasal Spray! Tsk!

I’m not sure if I have some new leg water papules coming up or not. New spots of some sort? The feet seemed to have differing colours; they started like this last time the feet legs and especially the ankles blew up? I’ll check later.
The white area on the toes seems to be getting bigger? My email, American Petal-Angel Lisa, suggested this may be Reynauds? I must look this ailment up. ♥

Got the computer on with a view to getting a good early start on yesterday’s blog finishing. But, no! With an hour of getting not much done was on…

The Asda order arrived while I was in another wait for the
to start again.
A big order today… Fridge products sorted…
Then, the frozen ones…
Too much bread in stock! Tsk!
Fridge cram-packed…
Bladder Belinda liquids built up…
My new favourites, are LU soft lemon-flavoured cakes. Very nice indeed. During the day I ate two of these, four shortcake biscuits and two bananas. No meal yet but I may stay awake long enough to make something. Or not!
Very nice, too!

Three hours after getting back on the computer.
Brown-outs had grown to ten.
But seemed to be getting far less now?.

Then, my wandering off onto the word listing for the odes began! I spent hours on it, just not realising.
Carer Kara called twice, and Carer Benjamin also.

As I was eating the second banana and taking this photo…
I felt the warm liquid in the lower region inside the Protection Pants! I knew immediately that this was a bad one.
Off to the wet room, it was I’m afraid due to . And no Daktacort Cream left! Stopping the flow of blood took me ages. Messed up my legs, dirtied the floor, and annoyed me so much. Once the flow stopped and I’d spent aeons medicating, it cost me another hour just to get the floor and myself clean again. The haemoglobin seemed very thick this time?
I returned to the computer, cursing, almost spitting, and feeling rather pissed off again. Especially when my pathetic ground to a halt again.
But it was the last failure. Bless them!

Carer Benjamin arrived for the late call. I was in a surprisingly perky mood for some reason. I took his blood pressure and temperature. All came out in NHS normal band: 123/68, Pulse 68 & Temperature 36.8 all good.

I went to the kitchen to put the oven on for hopefully some chips to bake. And took these two shots of the evening sky.
Bootiful!

00:25hrs: I did some more on this blog. Then got the nosh sorted and were cooking.

Have a Great Day, Each!

Since my birth, I’ve been an unlucky Virgoean,
Born proletarian, and abecedarian,
A lack of education and articulation,
A new fungal growth on my abarticulation…
A born loser, an attractor of spite & abusion,
My dreams, and hopes, all ended in destruction.
I’m gullible, submissive, & accept coercion…
From almost anyone, whoever is the person,
I used to get the odd day that was halcyon,
But those times are now long gone…
Got a card and email both a birthday one.
Then continued pondering over the operation…
Will it go ahead? I feel apprehension.
Life is full of mental & health tension…
No one to pay me any attention…
Coping daily with pointless iterations.
And what happened to the United Nations?
No chance of me committing self-jugulation,
My whole life has been a misapprehension,
But I’m used to it now, the dank depression.
The PN problems with my neurotransmission,
Cognitive Impairment Iris? I offer submission!
All my ailments… this is an admission…
Are a part of me, a natural inclusion,
Like the repeated blood transfusion…
This piffle may include some contradictions,
My hearings at the point of decimation,
My eyesight is suffering degradation,
My walking is turning to hobbling and limping!
I still love to do some cloud pareidoliaing,
Cognitive Impairing Iris is most troubling,
So, my memory includes some guesstimating.
My regular falls can be a little nerve-wracking,
The crawl to the recliner, to get up, irritating,
Fall-Team Sarah ordered a bed; I’m waiting…
All a part of PN, the Whoopsiedangleplopping!
Cuts, bruises, dropping things, and falling,
My life must come over as being appalling?
I’m not moaning, more sort of whimpering…
Yet my hopes are not sunk, just sinking!
One Birthday Card, one via emailing…
At least I got two folks me well-wishing!
Many have got nothing,
To those, I’m now singing…
“♥ Happy Birthday to You! ♥”
I hope that your cheer is now replenishing!

03:50hrs: Back to imitation life. I came close to toppling out of the £300, bought eight years ago from the second-hand shop, Harold Haemorrhoid testing, repugnantly beige-coloured, crumb containing, virus-breeding, acne-giving, rickety, none-working recliner, as I bent down to get freed from the Excellent shade of urine this morning. A fuller bag as well!

Off to the kitchen to check on the taps and cooker.
Taking two shots of the morning view.
Another bad one is aboveThis close-up looked eerie

Got the waste bags sorted from the bins

The Porcelain Throne was visited.

Then I started the
The teeth bled again, the instant the brush got close to one of the few rotten teeth I had left in my mouth. Leaving me with pain from .
A few nicks shaving. A good stand-up bath then tackled the ailment treatments. as per usual. I tried the Sudocrem as the Germoloid and Germolene had very little left in each tube. And not much chance of getting any more. But it is not effective, really. It went on , then painfully onto . I didn’t get any olive oil for the ears either, so used what drop I had left sparingly, and this was not good, as my hearing was so much worse than usual.
Some now water papules coming up on the left leg
You can see the fluid building up near the ankle bone.

The and Spray was applied

Made a brew of Thompson Gold tea.
And got the computer on…

When it returned, the Norton was showing messages that meant little to me. No idea what it wanted me to do. It’s so confusing!

Carer Richard arrived. He looked well knackered, bless him. Not much chin-wagging… if any, today. He kindly took the laundry down with him and waste bags.

So, I got the photos taken of the Ginsters Cheese & Onion pastie with the metal shard found inside. I searched for Ginster’s email number, found it easily enough, and double-checked that I’d spelt it correctly, but Google, did not recognise it? So did another search and found a site to contact them… What a farce!
It was so complicated. But eventually, after an hour or so, it accepted my complaint.
I sent these photos in. They said someone would contact you, but  I’ve heard nothing from them, yet.
Then I lost the flipping shard of metal! The intercom went and it was the ~Iceland delivery coming. After sorting out the food, I just couldn’t remember where I put it, or find it. Grumph!
The form to fill in, well, a part of it.

ICELAND ARRIVE
FOOD!
The driver took the bags through to the kitchen for me.
Some cleaners put away
Panini rolls; went into the freezer, and I took out a loaf of wholemeal to defrost. The desserts, Rustlers and soy balls went in the fridge, and the bananas were on the shelf.

Took this later shot of the puffer clouds.
Back on the computer…

Made the funny ode about the birthday up and got it on here.
Then started to update the Sunday blog.
It took me a long while for some reason. I wondered if I may have fallen asleep? You never know

SUDDENLY FATIGUED – Again!
This scenario has been happening now and then for the last two weeks or so. It’s horrible! Physically drained, feeling so tired, weary. Just had to stop everything, couldn’t even get a meal. I was fixated on getting some sleep. Down on the c1966, £300 charity shop bought, second-hand, wincingly grotty, beige coloured, not working, crumb-covered from the nocturnal nibblings, itch-making, uncomfortable, virus-breeding, easy-to-fall-out-of, recliner, and sleep came quickly.
The 18:00hr Carer called, not that I can recall too much of what happened. I think it was Carer Benjamin. The moment he departed, I was back in the land of nod. He returned minutes later, with my laundry bag, as I was getting my dinner… well, an iced sucker from the freezer. Sad, innit? Then, I had to hang and store the washing. Doing this simple task wore me out!

Back in the recliner…and the Landline Flashed. I was tempted to leave it, but, rightly as it happens, I had an idea (it was right, too! From my EQ) it might be Sister Jane, so I rose up and answered the telephone. I was not fully compos mentis, but we had a good chin-wagging session. Which, confused and tired as I felt, I did enjoy. Jane is going in for her Glaucoma operation on Wednesday. I wonder if I could get there to show her support? If I remember, I’ll ask the Carer in the morning to see if the people can fit me in for a ride to the EENT? I’d love to get to show her some attention. I’ll do that! I felt a smidge better after nattering and listening to Jane. ♥

Back in the recliner. Zzz! Where I stayed until his last call. I think he showed concern at my lack of response to him. I woke up occasionally, to find the legs had swollen. On the next wakening… Guilt! I espied in the waste bin near the chair… several empty Cheesy Curl packets, and crumbs on the night cover and floor! But just nodded off yet again. After this, it was back to waking up every few minutes with hypnic-myoclonic jerking me awake, then nodding off again and repeating the process, on and on and on, it went!

Today was undoubtedly one of the best days health-wise for many weeks. But the worst mentally.

Ah, well, yer can’t win them all!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

03:30: Woke and spent a few minutes worrying over anything and everything. I could feel the ticker beating heavily, so I stayed there in the c1966, £300 pound, second-hand charity-shop bought, crumb-containing, odour-retaining, Harold’s Haemorrhoid-testing, nauseatingly beige coloured, non-working, virus-breeding recliner, and spent time on concentrating what needs doing today, then had to work out what day it was. Plainly, I must have been having a dream that affected me, but I cannot recall having one?

Then I detached the night bag from the gripper on the . The pouch was lighter in colour and much fuller than of late.

Feeling much better now, I got the waste bags into one bag…
and taken to the front door.

A different than of late colouring to the morning view from the kitchenette window.

I made up some Spring Water bottles, adding a little orange juice and lime to the other.

Remembering I’d not even started yesterday’s blog yet, I got the computer on to add the photos from the Kodak… but…

Then I got carried away again, making up the personal diary I’ve been doing for years, on Excel. I tried the internet a few times, and eventually, it came back on… for five minutes!
Back to the dictionary of words.
back on.

Back to the dictionary of words.

It was struggling to get back on, so I lost aeons saving everything, all off – and again had to reset the box. Wait the regulation for 10 minutes and turn it back on. Twice, before it activated!

Got carried away again, and the Carer arrived. Blimey! I’d been up for about five hours already and I’d got nowt done! It was Carer Rhamat, a nice gal. I took her Blood pressure as I took mine. Hers came out as ‘IDEAL’ on the NHS thingamabob. SYS 120, DIA 70, Pulse 91, Temperature 36.8 Great! Mine? Well… SYS 148 DIA 78 Pulse, 74 Temp 36.9.

At last, I made a start on yesterday’s blog. Time is running out already! I persisted, despite the failure now at

Got the blog posted to WordPress, and off to the wet room to activate the functionalisationing.
The new Sudocrem ointment is not effective at all, I’m afraid.
Germolene and Germoloids supply are so low now!
Having to ration the use of them, but paying for this in terms of discomfort and pain. Does the Prime (No idea) Minister know?

Brightening up a little out there. lovely puffers!

The summoned me back to the wet room. This time it was back in control.

.

Then I got the eyes done. and then when that had dried the
As I was about to check to see if I had some more Olive Oil in stock to use… the pouch began to slip down. THE bladder was pumping it out better, as it does now and then, to catch me out! Then… and it’ll be hard to explain this, but I’ll try to…

I bent to empty the , as I was flipping the rubber end to encourage the final few drops of urine to come out… I think something shot out of the tube… Here is the best photo I could manage of it with the Kodak…
I could swear it was an insect of some sort. Where it came from puzzled me. The urine was almost a clear colour and I poured some to investigate what the thing was. It appeared to have tentacles at the thick end, and a head, at the other.
It shows up as red for some reason on the picture and is not clear. Bit in the urine, and after getting it out, it looked dark blue to me? Another Mystery of Woodthorpe Court, with the hobgoblins, spectres, gnomai, phantasms, ghosts, the grotesque succubae, extraterrestrials, ectoplasm, spirits, or the Fata Morganas, that have been sent to taunt, irritate and terminate my already limited saneness of mind? I wondered what the third one would be… they say puzzles come in threes?

For a change, when the current bottle of spring water ran out, I had a can of Bud (alcohol-free) never tried it before. And, I’ll never try it again, terrible! Ah, well…
So, I made a reliable mug of Glengettie tea, unfortunately, this means none will be allowed for me tonight. Two a day is the limit… mind you, I can have as many mugs of decaffeinated as I fancy. Have you ever tried decaf tea? Don’t! Urgh!

The toes and extremities were even whiter today!

Last photo of the day.
Well, I did take three more, but I’d left the flipping SD card in the reader and didn’t realise. Grumph!

Messy Day, Nowt else to say
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Nocturnal wee-wee a little dark this morning.

Amazing… Green fluid from the bleeding teeth?
Medicationings
Germoloid and Germolene tubes getting near to empty.
The Sudocrem substitute used is not too bad, but it has no cooling qualities and is a little greasy.
The usually dithering session over which of the Protection Pants to put on. Used the smaller Asda unisex ones!
The ends of the toes are going properly white now?

Tea for two, well, just for me, I made a brew

Blepharitis gel and eye spray applied

Kitchen morning view

Waste bags sorted out

View of the balcony from indoors.
Went onto the balcony to take this car par shot of the excellently parked vehicles.
Then, I spotted a Carer parking up and walking into the flat. I took this quick picture through the glass to catch him…
What a terrible photo! He looks like a transparent ghost in this picture. Wonder who it is? Hahaha!

Off to the . With these results…

with a rattling good contribution by suddenly attacking me in unison. I was mentally immobilised for hours. I seriously thought of pressing the wrist alarm… but knew they could do nothing… it was birthed by and the dying-off . It has never lasted this long before, though. I moved from the computer to the £300 second-hand shop bought, c1966. moth-eaten, cringingly-beige coloured, grotty, bedraggled, dilapidated, crumb-containing for my nocturnal nibblings, bug-ridden, itch-inspiring, not working recliner, to await the ailments stopping. Which they did eventually, bo so slowly.
Two Carers called, not that I was with it enough to remember much. But they came, cause I saw they had signed the call log when I improved enough to get up for a wander around to see how things reacted. Another weird thing, after I’d been sat down for a few minutes, I had a cracking, body-shaking, violent ; and this is only the second time I’ve had one of these while sat down.
Things seem to settle after a little hobble about with . But I’d lost a heck of a long time for doing the blogging… again!

I was with it all right when the night Carer Altere arrived.
Took these early evening cloud shots decent enough…

Amazing, the black and then white cloud formations tonight!

No chance to get this blog started, so did it early in the morning. Although I didn’t get any sleep during my hours resting, I still felt so tired.

Got the meal prepared, a nice, easy-to-make one.
Tomatoes, instant mash with some Leicester cheese added to it, and the battered balls were done in the air-fryer. It may have been because I was feeling so much better than I did earlier, but I really enjoyed this little dish. Taste: 8.4/10!

The Carer kindly washed the bowl for me.

After I thanked him and he left, I spotted this view, that demanded to be photographed!

Brilliant!
Even if I do say so myself!

I soon fell asleep. I woke up early (03:30hrs) and made a start on this blog at long last.

TTFNski!

INCHY TODAY
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

For once, things seemed to be going not too bad at all when I stirred in the £300, bought eight years ago from the second-hand shop, Harold Haemorrhoid testing, repugnantly beige-coloured, crumb containing, virus-breeding, acne-giving, rickety, none-working recliner, which was a bit of a shock to me, as you can understand. Not exactly full of the joys of spring, but the depression and Peripheral Neuropathy aches, shakes, and pains were noticeably absent this morning! At first, I thought I must have died during the night. And the Thought Storms were not pestering me either!
This state of non-panic or worrying mode… unfortunately, lasted only fugitively. As I lowered one leg at a time from the chair on which they were rested overnight, I managed to stub my right foot toe… my , against the waste bin. Guilt at my having moved it nearer to me last night to drop the crumbs and bits in as I nocturnally nibbled away at my cheese curls served to lower my previously pathetic moment of almost exhilaration at the lack of pains coming from within my blubbery body! Then, in mid-wailing, the other leg gave a mini , and slipped off of the other side of the chair, the knee hitting, with some venom, on the, which shot across to the Carer’s table and knocked a bottle of the expensive eye lotion off the counter… Yes, it hit the deck, and the cap came off – releasing about £6 worth of medication, which is currently clinging on like glue to the slipper it fell in!
Good Morning!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

After initial, almost traditional morning mayhem, I needed to get the goolies, toe and knee sorted out, then clean up the mess. This did not go well. However, a cheery bit came to me: The Urine in the night bag was the best it’s been for ages… Colourwise!

Arthur Itis was gelled off to the wet room, and some cream put on the toe – it wasn’t easy, but I managed it painfully! With the unplanned leg exercises, I found . So, it cost me even more cash, and I had to apply creams, not only the Fungal Lesion but Phorpain Gel, to Arthur’s knees, but and now I’m on the last drop of Germoloids!
I’m a bit dubious about the ankle conditions this morning.
Hope they are not going to start ulcerating again! Still, fingers crossed. I got the Asda PPs on again. They seem small but did the job of containing the blood leaking out this morning… Good!
I sorted the waste bags and placed them in the hallway near the door.
Then, off to the kitchenette to get the kettle on for a mug of Glengettie tea. The morning view from the window. The first two I took did not come out well at all? Carer Shaquille arrived. After he’d left, I got the computer on. Shame! Humph! I decided to get the potatoes in the crockpot while waiting for to return to service. I’d
forgotten to make the brew of tea. So, I made a brew of the Glengettie tea.
Not that I got to drink it. The net came back on, and all my somewhat rather limited concentration went on starting yesterday’s blog.

Better late than never? But it didn’t last long!
Titivated the area around the Carer’s Chair & table.
The little hand vacuum is on the way out, methinks. There’s not much oomph left; the light showed the battery as fully charged, too. Pity, but it’s lasted for some years now.
Rechecked on the cooking. I put the potatoes into the saucepan with the other vegetables in it, added some tomato puree, stirred it and left it on a low heat setting.
Got the eyes sprayed, then the applied it to both eyes.
I must try the Sudocrem in the morning. The Germolene & Germoloid medications seem unavailable at any shop at the moment. I’m not expecting it to work, but I’ll try it anyway.
Got the meal prepped and served up. This one was worth all the time and effort it took.
Flavour-Rating: 9.3/10!

Carer Benjamin called for the last visit.
I’d , chimed from the doorbell, and Benjamin came in, checking that he was putting the light on before doing so. He is aware of my sight problems; bless him. He issued me with the Peptac and painkillers. Then got the night pouch attached to the day bag.
After asking him if he didn’t mind me doing so, I took the photo above of Benjamin in the Balcony. I wanted a picture of the hill dwellings to the left of the flats in the frame. That’s the ‘Upper-Crust’ housing area, Mapperley Hall Drive. With a few lower-class ones on the edges, mostly converted into flats by the Oligarch owners. That’s where the two bodies were found murdered last month… or was it in June?  I bade a thank you farewell to the lad.

Got back in the £300 second-hand shop bought, c1966. Moth-eaten, cringingly-beige-coloured, grotesque, grotty, bedraggled, dilapidated, crumb-containing from my nocturnal nibblings, bug-ridden, itch-inspiring, not-working recliner.

But sleep would return and kick off again. So after an hour or two of failed sleep-searching, I checked the taps (faucets) and the cooker was not left on or running.
What a view from the kitchenette window presented itself!
I thought the entire sky looked so much like the surface of a planet at first, maybe the moon’s? With possible lava coming from underground.

The rest of the night was spent with the thoughts tormenting me, with precious few minutes of nodding offs interspersed here and there, each followed by moments of myoclonus.

A Bonus Ode from Inchy
A rarity indeed…
MY BRAIN’S CHANGING!

I’ve worked something about myself out…
My brain is erecting a mental redoubt,
It realises there’s been a turnabout…
And is now permanently on the lookout…
For Cognitive Impairment Iris, without a doubt…
Who’s using my cerebrum as a hideout!
Where she plays, on her gadabout!
Creating senseless thoughts that whirlabout?

She could cause me a brain brownout!
It’d be good if she’d just clear out!
Well, it’s time now for me to phase out…
Now, where’s that bottle of stout?

Fare Thee All, Well!

Quick Ode Today
Got all behind again with the day being so messy & busy.
So, this will have to be a quickie,
I try to use my time economically,
Apart from my Carers, my days are solitary…
I get extra help on a Wednesday,
One Carer with things financially…
Another with things medically,
And a lady for things domestically…
The Falls Team lady… psychologically!
So getting the blog done, rather hopefully…
It usually ends up apocryphally!

Urine in the night bag was looking good!

Waste bags collated and put in the hallway

Started with a session on the .
With cream-coloured streaks?
Just thought I’d mention it…
The towel was put on the shower chair, and the wall convertor heater was turned on to warm it up for later. (I forgot to turn it off; I reckon it cost me about £16 in electricity costs, Tsk!)
again. And with . Being joined by , the floor of the wet room reminded me of Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho film!
Using the chair in the shower safely will take me some planning. I could not reach the shower box or spray thingamabob to adjust the direction or flow of the water from the seat. The water was splashed all over the room, and even the cracked ceiling was dosed! Regarding cracks, UI found another danger of the shower chair – I had two , when I got up to adjust the spray direction and turned it off. I’ll have to give this some thought.
Olive-oiled the ear holes. Tended wincingly to apply the Little Inches ‘Makes Me Jump Fungal Lesion ointment. Daktacort!
Sparingly applied the rapidly running out-of-stock Germoloid Ointment to . Then, I MedPhorpainapplied some Gel to ease to then to
I struggled, although this is nothing new; I needn’t have mentioned this; it goes without saying: the new Asda Unisex large protection pants on. I really had a , when I saw how dark, deep red, almost brown, the urine in the tube coming from Little Inchy was passing! But realised that while trying to get the blasted Daktacort gel to reach the lesion for pain relief, the pipe must have been agitated and torn at the tissue again. I’ll check that later!
After spraying it with some antiseptic disinfectant, I put the bloodied towel in the laundry bag.
Finally, I got the room cleaned up and in a reasonable state of hygiene and realised how long the had actually taken me when I put the wristwatch back on.
A staggering two hours & twenty minutes!
At least the new Asda PPs were not so painful to wear. (Yet?)
The day was rapidly disappearing!

A made me one of my two-a-day permitted mugs of tea, Thompson’s Punjana, this time.
The moment it was mashed and milk added, the tune burst forth from the door chime. It was Carer Shaquille.
He put the fresh pouch on for me and issued the medications. There are still no Ramipril blood pressure tablets available. Benjamin said they were at the chemist’s awaiting pick-up yesterday. It’s the third day without them now, or four. It can’t be helped, though.

At long last, I got the computer on to make a much-belated start on this blog. Guess What!

So, I titivated my Ottoman, making up some drinkies.
I added some of the Soda water with the Raspberry juice. To avoid the boredom of drinking gallons of the same stuff to get the bladder going, as instructed. I have been guzzling them for 5 months plus! Nice though!

There was still no internet service from .
So, I popped into the wet room to search for the nail clippers to cut the fingernails…
This was when I found I’d left the wall heater on!

Hello... the internet is back on! Amazing!
I got some photographs from the SD card onto a computer file and considered doing this blog… but.

Carer Kara arrived to do the financials. But they were short-staffed with holidays, so I only got half an hour’s help this time.
But it was invaluable to me. A helpful gal is Kara. ♥
She asked me to sign something about Kara being my financial helper to make it legal. So I signed it.

Almost made a start on this blog… but no!
The DVT Clinic rang. I had to ask them so often to repeat things that I did not pick up with my delinquent ear-holes; it took ages to grasp what was being passed on to me.

Then, my precious DVT nurse, Hristina, called.
KristAShe would call to retake the blood on Monday ♥ Or, was it Tuesday? Erm...

Domestic Denise arrived to titivate things for me.
Carer Kara, Carer Benjamin. And, I still didn’t get this blog started until Tuesday morning. Oh, I moan well… Haha!

I Prepared the Meal!
Not that it took a lot of effort. Mini Pickle pies, Mini vegan sausages, & mini tomatoes – Easy-Peazy!

A small Banana and mini-pot of lemon curd cheesecake.
Even the pickle-seasoned chutney was mini-sized! Hehe!
But it’s big on flavour! Taste-Rating: 802/10!

Woke up and got the Blepharitis medication done on the eyes.
I’m anticipating another tooth loss at the front
any time now, with two sides, one upper and one lower.

Gathered the food things to get them washed and took these night views of the sky.

What a Start This Morning!
The Go-Wrongables went wrong again!

It all started the moment I woke up, with agony from the gonads area. Due to the movement of the long night pouch tube that was attached to much unwanted, I must have chaffed away at the gonads as ‘things’ moved for the first time in months! I’ll not go into too much detail, but the dreaming involved things of an amorous nature, with a bit of physical passion thrown in! As I began to launch myself from the depths of the aged, grotty-looking c1966 made, charity-shop-bought, horribly beige-coloured, £300, Harold’s Haemorrhoid-testing, non-operational, acne-giving, virus-breeding, rickety, easy-to-fall-out-of recliner, I believed a glance at the wall clock, that fell off of the wall and now resides next to the squeaky Margaret Thatcher toy, on top of the electric fire, that I can’t afford to use with the cost of electricity; and panicked a little when I saw (Wrongly as it happens) that the clock showed it to be about ten past seven. And the food delivery is coming twixt 07:00 > and 08:00! In my haste to get up, the tube caught on the new air cushion that was delivered for me yesterday. No messing about with jokes at this stage… It was horrendously painful, and I felt sure the blood flowed much more than usual this morning!
I fumblingly got the night pouch off ASAP and grabbed for my , and off to the wet room to check on the state of my inguen department in the lower regions. en route against the door frame. But did not stop, went in and peeled off the bloodied protection pants, and went into an investigative mode to assess the damage. Not much Germolene left; I used most of it on Little Inchies. Then realised I had even less left of the Germoloid ointment! But remembered my taking brave choice, to order a tube of each on today’s Morrison order, and dang, the cost! Taking the wristwatch off, I spotted the real-time! 03:30hrs. All that rushing and pain for nothing.
Tea GlengettieGot the computer on to update yesterday’s blog. The time flew, but I took a break for a brew of Glengettie and the two last biscuits from the jar. No, I didn’t cry! But it was a close call. Hehe! I’d ordered some on the Morrison order, which cheered me up.
Little did I know what wasn’t being delivered and substituted, or I may have cried then!
MORRISON MUCK-UP!
The driver was kind enough to put the products into carriers I had saved and took them into the hallway for me. Kind of him; many tip the food out of their trays onto the kitchen floor or in the doorway. Thanks, mate, I appreciated that. I set about emptying the carriers and photographing the various foods, thinking of little witty things to say on the blog
. I must have taken about eight decent photographs, starting with the line of carriers in the hallway. Freezer, fridge, and cupboard goods.
Then, as I was putting the things away… I realised how many had been substituted or were not available. Tsk!
No Germolene or Germoloid! ‘Sudcrem’ had been substituted. The two vegetable risotto meals had been swapped for, of all things, Vegetable Lasagne, Horrible stuff! But I didn’t notice it soon enough to send it back. Or I would have. Urrgh! Kara is a vegan; I’ll see if she will have them on her next call
. The two Morrisons Acute Diarrhoea Relief Caps (Cost £1.20 each) were substituted with one Morrisons Diarrhoea Relief Instant Tablets. £6! Then, Pukka Cheese Leek & Potato Slices, £1.20, were replaced with Ginsters Cheddar & Onion Slices @ £1.48! Suddenly I remembered why I’d stopped using Morrisons delivery service – too late now. Gits! Can all these things keep happening to me every day? Well, yes!

When Carer Kara arrived, the bleeding from the private quarters had stopped, but not the pains. Tsk! Still no Ramipril Tablets, hence the high Blood Pressure readings for today. Kara checked the day pouch, due to be replaced on Wednesday. She kindly said she’d ring the Doctors or chemist about the tablet situation for me. Fingers crossed! It seems that all medications are in short supply at the moment.

I got around to putting the pictures taken onto the computer, my lovingly, carefully, time-consumingly taken shots throughout the late morning. But not one was on the SD card!
The SD card I’d left in the computer reader slot – AGAIN!
, I swore, cursed and lambasted myself as I ground my teeth and wanted to hit myself in the face! What else is going to go wrong? Don’t answer that, please!

Carer Kara arrived. I forced her to take the unwanted Vegetable Lasagne ready meals. It’s that white sauce on the that I don’t like. And I adore the Vegetable Risotto, but the last two times, they have substituted lasagne. Grrr!

Well, there’s no time to make a meal now. I’ve got to get the ablutions tended to… I’ve not started the photos yet; I better get them done first. Then, as instructed, I had to use the chair in the shower, fair enough.

Please let my luck get betterer?

The night bag colour is looking good.
Plenty of it for once, 500 ml!

A rainy morning close to the glass shot.
A wider view…
But neither was very good. Tsk!

Rubbish bags sorted out.

Popped into the spare room; I did a bit of sorting, but not much.
More waste bags to go.

Titivated the nurses, carers, and helpers nibbles.

.

Computer issues bamboozled me.

Water Chestnuts Pickled!
After getting them into the jar, Kara told me they needed 4 days in the fridge. As instructed, I shook the seasoning in the tub.
Sorry, I did now. The lid wasn’t waterproof; vinegar went all over me and the floor to clean up. Fancy that!

The Morrison Farce Arrived.
All those lost photos, I took a few more, too late, of course.
Fridge close up. Leicester cheese to go in the potatoes later… well, that’s the plan, anyway.
Fridge full view.
Terribly bad freezer shot…
But the bananas came out alright.
I’ve eaten two during the day.

Balcony photo of the end car park.

Low puffer clouds, Bootiful!.
A Higher in the Sky view.

What were these two supposed to beat me?
Although this one could be my finger?
Better get on with the ablutions… Oh no…
It’s too late… no, I’ll get them done.
Back later.
He says, full of hope!

I’m back, but much later than planned. Tuesday morning.
I’d . Woke and went to check on the cooking and spotted the part moon high in the sky. I took these poor efforts for  photographicalisations
Got the wobbles, methinks?

Turned on the TV & .
The clouds had taken over the view.

I took these from the kitchenette window.
I forgot to check on the cooking. Tsk!

Gorgeous!
What a remarkable change to the scene!
Bootiful!

Got the meal served up. Instant mash with Leicester cheese and sea salt added! Vegan sausages, chestnuts, red & yellow tomatoes, salted, and mushrooms were over-seasoned and overcooked! And a banana. Shame! Carer Benjamin arrived as I was serving up the meal. He kindly put it into the microwave to keep it warm for me.
But I ate most of it; I just had to leave some of the mushrooms.
Flavour-Rating: 8.1/10! Got the pots washed and…

Slept for a couple of hours before the usual jumping awake with a jolt. Which, unfortunately, tugged at the tube from deep within Little Inchie, causing to bleed a bit. (It also made me wince and curse a little, but no matter.) Off to the wet room, carrying & the , to clean and medicate things in the lower regions. Washed and got new PPs on. I forgot about the instructions to sit down to get dressed. I used Protection Pants for the first time to see how with them. They are much thinner than the others, and the actual pads seem smaller in ratio. But we were comfortable enough after the gruelling battle to get them on! Hehehe!

All medicated and cleaned up, I hobbled into the kitchenette to ensure no taps (faucets) or stove had been left on, and the fridge & freezer doors were shut!
Which was when I spotted the orange moon high in the dark sky. I decided to take a photograph of it… But it came out like this below… Artistic, methinks, even if it was not planned.
How the heck I managed to get three copies of The Moon in there is beyond me. I bet WordPress photographer, singer, songwriter, animal lover, novelist and jolly-good-fellow Tim Price in New Mexico would know!

TTFN, Each!

Night pouch removed

.
A decent amount overnight!

Morning medications were done, , and were applied. ointmentated. and , Phorpain gelled.

Khaki-coloured mush!

Morning shot in the slight drizzle

Waste bins sorted out, a big bag cause I did a bit of clearing in the bedroom again, but it didn’t last long, and made sure of that, by offering up ailment trends.

Got some potatoes in the crock-pot

No headache from the bruise

Carer Richard, no Ramipril tablets (an ACE inhibitor type medication used to treat high blood pressure, and diabetic disease) The Blood Pressure today shows the lack of medication, as it had gone up a lot.
Richard checked the stock in the medical drawer. Gave me morning doses minus hate Ramipril of course. He’ll look into the situation. Nice lad.

Carer Atere, said he’s ring the doctor on his call, for me. On his late call, told me the prescription had been sent to the chemist.

The intercom flashed, and it was the Red Cross Technician. Buzzed him in and up he came to the flat. No bed, just the air-filled cushion. He got it going and put it on the £300, second-hand shop bought nine years ago, c1966, discomfiting, alarmingly beige-coloured, crumb-containing, TV remote hiding, not working recliner. He mentioned something about antiques? Haha!

I pressed on with the updating of the blog.

An Email Arrived. From the Falls Team Lady Sarah.
A list of things I’ve to do.

That’s Yer lot!

INCHY: Sunday 20th August 2023 – Worried, frustrated and took a tumble.

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Woke up worried about the situation with the mystery of whether or not the cushion, bed, or both are arriving on Monday. Always on a damned Friday, I get confusing unclear communications from someone late on Fridays. No Meridian management to ring for advice; no Wardens at the weekends.
This means I can only advise them when the delivery is due! It makes it look like I’ve not told people in time, but what else can I do to get help moving the debris in the room to make what for the bed to go in? If it’s coming, it’s unclear what is arriving on the mobile phone text message left for me. It could be catheter bags, the bed, the cushion, or any permutation of?
So frustrated!
The Spain v England Football Final didn’t help my sanity! In the first half, when Spain got the only goal, they played better than England, who made midfield errors that led to the Spanish goal.
In the second half, the Ispancha back-handed feminine referee made damned sure that England lost the final, not that England needed her help. Losing the ball, bad passing, and lack of movement was not a good display. Spain could have won without the referee letting them dive to the floor if they looked like they would be tackled, commit foul after foul, etc. But they did deserve to win without a crooked referee in charge of the game. Fair enough! England used up all their good luck in beating Nigeria and Australia.
I keep worrying about how it will go tomorrow. Bet I get it in the neck and take the blame. I’ll have to try and move some stuff myself now the match is over.

12:00hrs: I’ll be back later to update this blog if I get time.
15:20hrs: I’m back. Bruised and bleeding as it happens. Thanks to as I was stretching to get a box of whatnots! I took a tumble, hitting the handle of the four-wheel walker trolley on my way down, and I stubbed my toe. . Right on the wrong digit…  Don’t think I swore or felt sorry for myself, but I had to abandon the tidying-up job. I casually wiped the blood away (not worth mentioning, but it might make me sound braver than I really am, Hehehe!) and Germoloiding the minuscule bruise. I’ll take a photo of it later to prove just how innocuous it was if it can be seen. Har-Har!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

05:30hrs: I woke and rose from the depths of the £300, second-hand, decrepit, Haemorrhoid Harold-testing, sleep-deterring, nauseatingly beige-coloured, not-working recliner. In a state of some agitation over the short notice of the bed arriving and no one to ask about it, it was late Friday night, and no one in charge was here at the weekend. I determined I’d have a go at getting the room cleared on my own; I’ll see how I go with it.
Other matter filtered through making it into the brain. Like the final of the world cup for the ladies. EQ warned me not to expect a victory for England. I didn’t, and they didn’t win. Sister Jane phoned me at half-time; we were both doubtful of their gaining a victory. SADLY!

There was not much in the night pouch as I went to take it off the
A sudden gush and it looked fuller?
It looked like a good 3 rating. However, during the day, Carer Rhamat classed the second check as a ‘6’ on the card! On her 12:00 call. It was a ‘two’. I’ve just done another review, with the cards, and it’s a ‘three’?

The day is breaking through the balcony doors.

Kitchen sorted.
Ablutions and Porcelain Throne.
Urge! Haha!

Blepharitis Eye Gel and Spray were used.
I’m getting used to these reading glasses now!

First mugs of tea. Sainsbury’s Extra-String Brown Label

Started updating the photographs.
I got a message from Norton re-drivers that all need updating (18). So bought the package and waited while it updated. Got a text from the bank needing code to use.
Norton then needed my password. Then Norton said to restart the computer, telling me I can use my computer now.
Then, a bill receipt for £44 arrived that had gone through. However, another message came through from Norton; telling me that one of the drivers could not be updated.
Getting all confused now? So I clicked to update it… Another message: This cannot be updated at this time, but this will not affect anything or harm your computer. Then why make me buy the updater in the first place then?

Watched the Football match. Carer Rhamat, Sister Jane, who called at half-time, and me, all agreed things were looking bleak for the England team. I’d sooner not go into detail. Sob!

I decided to get as much done as possible in the spare bedroom, to make room in case the bed does arrive.
I spent a few hours grafting away, trying to clear the rubbish as I went. And there was a great deal to be bagged.
The first lot that Rhamat took for me.
Second dollop, Carer Benjamin, after the cleaning-up session ended so ignominiously. Why? I’ll tell yers…

Just as encouraged me to drop a box of cans & bottles I was struggling to move, an instant
erupted with a vengeance like never before!
Not a plain simple one, of course, Oh, No! Not me!
I was falling after knocking the leg on the four-wheeled walker, and , not just any toe, but the one that hurts without it getting bashed about, but the flipping! Then the trolley I’d grabbed hold of, brake gave way, and down onto my knees I went. That did not please either or , nor did the forehead that hit the corner of a box of bleach! I was a little dizzy by the time I’d got through on my hands and knees to the c1966, £300, second-hand charity shop bought in 2008, crumb-containing, odour-retaining, Harold’s Haemorrhoid-testing, nauseatingly beige coloured, non-working, recliner.
That was enough for me. Not that it bothered me, of course.
Well, maybe a little. Somewhat… Aargh!
Got some cream Germoloid cream on the head scratch…
Then dolloped some Of the…
MedPhorpaingel on the knees and chin.
Hard graft!
Much mess still needs doing, though, in the room!

Carer Benjamin came for the evening call and saw the funny side of the bruised head. Hehehe!
I put the Blepha gel on the eyes, and
Sprayed on the water spray, while Benjamin was here.

Checked on the potatoes in the slow cooker.
Added some liquid smoke and.

Twinkly sun shot.

Then off to get the potatoes cut up and chop up some beetroot to add to the can of chunky veg soup. Fingers crossed.
We’ll see…
Not bad at all. Flavour-Rating 7.2/10

Got the washing up done and was in the process of trying to get a decent shot of the oddly-shaped moon, and Carer Benjamin arrived. He got the medicationings done and added the
to . I got my last health Check monitoring done and took Benjamin’s BP. It came out as “Ideal” at SYS 120 and DIA 66. Mine was slightly different at 148-59, “Hypertension High”. Fit lads, Benjamin and Christopher. Jealous? Me? Yes? Hehe!

Back to trying to get a shot of the high in the grey sky moon.
Made a mess of that!
Horizon shot.
Made an even bigger mess of this one trying to take the moon.
It’s the white bit bottom left. My camera skills are getting worse! Mind you, I was taking these and carrying the walking stick and catheter night bag at the same time  Best excuse I can think of, Hahaha!

I settled down in the £300 second-hand shop purchased, c1966, welt-causing, uncomfortable, not-working, itch-inspirational, crumb-containing recliner. Turned on the TV and swiftly drifted off into a deep, dream-filled sleep. Waking up in the same position five hours later, the TV still on, and… this is true, by the way… no crumbs found! I can’t recall anything about the dreaming; I just know I had them?

Keep Safe, & Have a Great Day!

Late getting off to sleep again, so I was late getting up. Just gone 06:00hrs. Took off the pouch, and made up the waste bags, Then I hobbled off to get the ablutions done – another struggle there, but I have had far worse ones. Two cuts shaving, only tiny ones; the after-shave stopped them from flowing blood easily enough.
Carer Chris arrived. We had a natter and laugh while he sorted the medications out: He’d brought the missing medication up, the Atorvastatin, they are half strength these ones, so I have to take two until the chemist can get some of the full-strength ones in stock again. The gentleman from the opticians called on the landline. He was at the flats. I told him to ring 72 on the panel, and I could admit him. He rings on the panel, but only for a few seconds, then stopped… The telephone rang again, I asked if he had got the right one of the three courts; he said yes. I went down painfully to the front door lobby in my dressing gown but saw no one. I returned to the flat in case he was up there… The landline rang again, and it transpired that he was at flat 12, not 72.
The landline rang again. He said he was outside the door… I hobbled down again, thinking he meant the lobby door, no one there, back up to the flat. He rang the bell and smiling told me of his visiting the wrong flat. A nice chap. Handed me the new varifocals, so now I have two pairs now.
Made a brew and got the computer on…
Carer Joanne arrived. I thanked her for fetching the spectacles for me yesterday; bless her. Told her of the cost of the Bleptha medications that I had to pay a fortune for, and she mentioned that her catheter bags, she had to pay for. Took her ages to get them back on the NHS
!
She said she would try getting some eye pads for me. I told her of the optician coming.
Then I went to clean up the wet room and found a can of lemon cleaner foam to use. It had a price tag on it… 49p. I think I must have bought it in 1980! Hope it doesn’t explode if I use it. Hehehe!
Then a couple of hours searching for the costs of Protection Pants from Asda then Morrisons. As the current stock is getting low now. I got myself confused about the prices and spent ages going back and forth from site to site. But I found some own-label that were cheaper than the others, not men’s, but suitable for both sexes. Morrisons had some of the vegetable risotto on sale, so they got the order. I’m hoping I got it right this time! No more double orders for Inchy!
He says with little confidence and a nervous twitch!

PHOTOGRAPHICALISATIONS

Excellent colour in the night pouch!

Waste Bags Gathered.

Taken during the ablutions.
The legs are so much better, visually!

Carer Chris this morning. Looking broody? Hehehe!

The age-old Bathroom Foam spray!

Puffer clouds getting thicker now.

The glasses from which the optician chose a frame that should be capable of new lens fitted. The gentleman also said he’d return this afternoon with the done glasses shortly.

Clouds getting thicker still.

A bit of a mini-mudslide, I don’t recall it raining?

Ah, thicker than ever now, but beautiful!

The optician man returned with the new varifocals. They were in a very frame that he had chosen earlier.
They may take me some getting used to. But that is not surprising after nearly three years since the last pair was issued. Naturally, with the Blepharitis in both eyes and the left eye due to being cataracted on the 31st of August, might not get done unless the infection has cleared up!

WORRIED
The text message I got Friday evening about something medical being delivered on Monday, has got me worried. The Social Service lady who called on me said she would see Meridian about me getting a hospital bed and also ordered a special cushion for the recliner, that avoids bedsores.
But the email gave me no time to contact Meridian to ask for help or find out what the plan was. Weekend arrangements yet again! So, come Monday, I’ll not know if the cushion or bed is arriving until they do, on Monday. Three days’ notice, proved to be one day’s notice; cause Meridian will not know about it until the day it arrives and will not have time to sort out any help with
moving the things around in the room to make space for the bed to go in. I’m gonna get the blame methinks for not informing them in time. But had no choice in the matter. Maybe they contacted them to let them know? But again, no management would be in the office at the weekends… I’m getting anxious now.

I made some baked potatoes for Nosh.
Well buttered with the tasty none-butter butter, and sea salt, with some mini-tomatoes, and a strawberry dessert.
Tasty, even with just spuds! Rating: 7.8/10.

Later Photos Taken

An hour or so later…
The last one.

Good Evening, All!
