INCHY’S POLITICAL ODE
HMG stuttering and Starmering,
Bad manners seem to be amplifying,

Murders, knifings, people dying,
Pensioners, children, starving,
HMG is uncaring, but angering,
Involved with lying backhanding,
No chance of the gloom alleviating,
They’ve done nowt worth applauding,
Their compassion needs reactivating,
HMG’s good at pensioner annihilating,
Accepting freebies, their wallets filling,
If Nye Bevan is looking down from heaven,
He was Labour’s best; what’s he thinking?
Of new Labour’s cabinet bickering?
Of their huffing, lying, cheating?
Most of them have bank balances bulging,
The Tories, after their election thwacking,
Not admitting the defeat was embarrassing?
With Labour split and arguing,
The future for the UK is spine-chilling.

This blog was not started until late last night.
More power failures. Mind-Mangling-Malcolm, perhaps the busiest day of the week… so far. The mini-seizures came in floods that lasted from a minute to fifteen. With a decent break in between. Of course, the power cuts lost me work done each time. And the biggest cock-up was my fault.

After a power cut and signing in everywhere again, I was getting caught up again and had this idea to remove some of the bookmarks I no longer use so that more of what I use can be seen. Ahem! I lost the lot! Try as I did, I could not get them back. I searched for how to make a restore point; that was before I made the cock-up. It seemed relatively followable, even for a Dumbo like me. It wasn’t!
A) Op[en Control Panel – So I did.
B) Open Recovery
C) Open System Restore. – So I did.
D) Select Next – So I did.
E) Choose Restore Point. – So I did.
Then another window opened, telling me I didn’t have a restore point to change!
F) Scan for affected programmes.
No idea what that would do, so I started the procedure again.

So I never got as far as the other instructions, which were.
G) Choose restore point – It wouldn’t let me.
H) Select finish – It wouldn’t let me.

I suppose my being digitally illiterate, non-tech-savvy, technologically challenged, Technology-averse, computer-inept, thick as two planks, technophobic, electronically apprehensive, and Glaucoma Gladys may have contributed to the resulting frailness of my attempted solving of the issue.
I put the ones I could remember on the bar, one at a time. It cost me two hours! So bear with me; I might get this done for you by Christmas. Hahaha! Still, in the morning (this morning), the computer allowed me to upload a greater percentage of photos and graphics onto WordPress until the Computer… well, the browser crashed!

Such a lot happened, but it’s all a jumble. Still, I did write some barely readable scribbled notes on the memory pad to use, but I’ll have to be quick. Please forgive any errors… well, I mean the errors. Although they didn’t all get on, photos can help me chronologically.

Had I known or even had an inkling of how the day would go, I’d not have bothered getting up in the first place!
As I write this on October 1st, I wonder what happened in history on this date. I’ll have a look.

Today in History

1993 Maastricht Treaty came into force. That created a common currency, the Euro, for European Union countries came into force

1955 United Airlines Flight 629 blows up over Colorado; A bomb hidden in checked luggage of United Airlines Flight 629 exploded over Longmont, Colorado, killing all 44 people on board.

1952: The first giant hydrogen bomb was tested by the U.S. On the Eniwetrok atoll.

1911 First bomb dropped from an aircraft: Before this, bombs were dropped using unmanned balloons. The first bomb launched from an aeroplane was used by the Italians in the Italo-Turkish War.

1957: Inchy got his first part-time job.
As a gas streetlamp lighter & snuffer.

The nocturnal bag was removed and emptied.

The first sky photos were taken at about 05:00hrs.

Constipation Conrad was clearly clinging to control of the evacuation… well, non-evacuation!
Several false alarms throughout the busy day. Finally, I had a passing, but not until 23:00hrs!
Got the stand-up wash & shave done (3 teeny-weeny cuts).
Carer Christopher came calling. I asked him to show me how to reset the power box, as I was sure I’d need to.

Jenny called to see if I’d had any more power losses. I told her about last night’s. She will speak to the Wardens about it. Window Cleaner Joe arrived, flashed through the job, and was off. He’s a good lad, and he likes lighting and cleaning windows. You’d be lost without him doing it.

I finally got on the computer, but not for long. The electricity gave up the ghost one more time. I rang Jenny, who again called Deana. I went hopefully to the wet room, and there was no activity again.

ILC (Independent Living Coordinator), OberstgrĂĽppenfuhreress Warden, Primo Ballerina, Deana, ILC (Independent Living Coordinator) Generaloberstess, Ice skating champion florist, and Warden Julie came in. They got the lights back on and investigated the cause of the failures, asking me to recall exactly what I was doing each time the electricity went off. Did they really expect me… Me, to remember? Hehe!
They deemed that the kettle was the bother, and Deana got the new kettle off of the top cupboard for me, took it out of the box, and tried boiling some water. There was no cut-outs. Thus they thought the problem was solved. It was the old kettle causing the blackouts. Later in the day, at about the same time as it did yesterday, at about 19:00hrs, I think, I turned on the hob… total darkness dawned! But no problem as I anticipated this, and I had the mobile phone and wind-up torch in my dressing gown pockets.

(Smug-Mode-Considered).

I phoned Jenny to let her know, but I didn’t want her to come up again. I put Christopher (on his evening call) on the mobile, as Jenny wanted to speak to him.

Jenny is so good to me. ♥

The photos and graphics were saved again. Yehaa!
This one I took earlier. Two of the three pairs of slippers I have. Excessive, you think? Not for an old fart with a that gets more leaks than a leek farmer! I reckon the slippers (left-foot ones) have been filled with leaking urine from the dodgy closure click so many times; it’s becoming almost expected nowadays. The shaggy brown ones once, the Tartan ones three times, and the ribbed brown ones twice! Do you think the Doctor will give me a prescription for some new ones?

Am I Lucky or What? I checked on the delivery of the steel cleaning cloths. I bought them to clean the cooker hob that had been messed up when I left a pan on the light and fell asleep. Of course, there was no rush for them now, as a new cooker would be needed and the old one would be too dangerous to use. No oven chips, roast potatoes, cheesy baked potatoes, Chilli, or bacon… I’m upsetting myself now. Just the microwave to use. Not enough room to fill the holes in my teeth, let alone make a meal! Not the same, is it?
Depressed? Me? What? Yes!

.
I gave up on the computer. Heaven knows when I’ll finish this blog, let alone start tomorrow!
I lurked around the hallway and opened the wet room door to hear the anticipated intercom when the delivery driver pressed the bell to open the door. But it didn’t happen.
I booted the computer again to check the Amazon site. It told me my parcel had been delivered and put through my letterbox! I went to the door to investigate. Nope, nothing there. I thought they may have dropped it in the lobby, which frequently happens. I went down to the front lobby but could not see anything there. I could go through the door into the outer lobby, as I had not got the keys and fob to get back in. But I could not see any parcels outside; it was pitch black anyway, so if the van was there or not, I didn’t know.
I returned to the twelfth floor and into the flat and tried to contact Amazon. Have you ever had to do that?
There’s more chance of Killer Starmer giving back the Winter Fuel Payment he stole from the pensioners than of getting through to talk to someone at Amazon. I made good progress despite not getting through all the way. I got to someone called something like a delivery organiser and clicked on a link to go to a supply organiser. Another link clicked to someone else, and I got a message back. If the problem has not been resolved within 24 hours, you can contact us again.
Huh, Thanks!

I was digesting this cunning message and admiring how cleverly they avoided anyone voicing opposition to Amazon’s inability to control things. Then the door chime chimed out. I thought this might be the delivery!
It was, being delivered to me by another tenant, who had got the same messages about his parcel, and of course, there was nothing in his letterbox either. He’d been down to the lobby and found his and my parcels in the unprotected outer lobby! And he’d kindly bring them up and drop mine off for me. We were disgusted and showed our feelings about Amazon, which included a few mild verbal rantings.

Depressed? Me? What? Yes!

Ah, I missed the changed cake!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

I made the very belated meal using the microwave.
A ready-made meal. Beef in black bean sauce.
I added some extra-cooked beef, red onions, more black bean sauce from a jar, oregano, and liquid smoke. I mixed it up in the only microwave bowl I had and cooked it for six minutes on the high-level rating. Delish!

What a lousy day computer-wise!

I’ll have to give up getting graphics and photos on.
I have to keep stopping, turning everything, and running Cc leaner. I even used Norton Cleaner today, but that made things more difficult for some reason.
After rebooting everything, I found I had to restart the bloody thing before it allowed me to save some stuff and upload it to WordPress.

What seemed like minutes later, it stopped again.
Another reboot, and it started. Then it began all over again.

I fear the end is nigh.
No, I know the end is high.
This is not what I wanted after spending the majority of the day restarting, closing, and rebooting it all day long. I’ve lost interest, really.

Pouch.

Another crap photo.

The Computer started playing up.

Oh, a decent photo of the fog.

Hoovered up.

Getting foggier.

Cleared a bit later.

Now the computer is making me sick!

Carers came, but I can’t remember who or when; I fear I was in the depths of depression but trying not to show it.

There was a bit of rain when I came out of a seizure and made a mug of tea; I have no idea when.

Hours and hours spent to get a ten-minute job done.

Rain

Lots of graphics and photos are unable to load.

Pee’d off, I’m going to give up and make summat to eat.

Humph!

It was scarcely credible, absurd, and preposterous that I woke up this morning in a spectacularly jovial mood! Despite a Toothache, Tiffany was giving me pain, and I had to reach for the toothache killer spray and give each of the offending teeth a squirt! I hit one of the molars with the end of the tube, and another chunk of it fell off. Also, had fallen off of the safety bar that was out of reach and needed retrieving. I found myself swinging the legs from the bed I was on top of, then getting a toe-stubbing and banging a knee against the overbed table that pissed-off … And the slipped and tugged at poor .
A series of events that should have put me on a downer, swearing and feeling sorry for myself. But I seemed to accept all that had happened as part of my regular morning catastrophe-ridden life.
I was temporarily the old me! I didn’t give a toss about things! I was singing to myself (not musically, but still) as I used the picker-upperer to get the stick, then took off the nocturnal catheter bag.
I straightened the bedclothes and limped to empty the pouch. (A number six on the NHS colour Richter scale card) And (still singing Elvis’s songs, the bits I could remember the words to (I hummed the rest). I decided to have my morning allowance of one mug of tea early and put the kettle on.
I then realised I was in such a chirpy mood and recognised that the pains for Cartilage Chloe and Little Inchie were still stinging, but it wasn’t bothering me.
It might have been the weather that had lost its fog and mist after three days of it. The sun nearly got through later.

I combined the kitchen and front room bins into one and put them near the door to take to the chute later. When I returned to the kitchen, I found the tea had gone cold, so I refilled the kettle to try again. Getting the milk out of the fridge, I saw a pie with an out-of-sell-by date, so I checked everything in there. Oh, dear, I filled another bag with outdated items. Tsk! But even this didn’t phase me. I got a summoning to visit the So I did. A messier mess than I’d suffered for months!
Carer Sham called. We have a chinwag & a smile or two between us. ♥.

The intercom sounded; it was the Asda order arriving. This made me realise that it was only 06:10 hrs. What flipping time did I get up feeling all perkily?
I got the bags inside and started sorting things out. They had sent all the bread ordered, which was good, 3 small sliced milk roll loaves, and a bag of mini wholemeal rolls.
Sorted the fresh stuff for the fridge. Some reet-treats here! Red spring onions, a tomato multi-type pack, 4 Lemon & Lime yoghourts, a lemon mousse, and two lemon curd yoghourts! Marmite-flavoured cheese, lamb patti, a BBQ-flavoured pork pie, and a cornish pastie to boot! I shall eat well tonight! I’ll have none of the meat, I’ve still got a lot of the Sokolow seasoned bacon to use, and I’m not going to waste it… I’m going to eat it! Hahaha! Oh, I forgot, I thought I’d made a mistake with the Asda order. The above medication arrived with it. Turned out it was a Freebie. Later on, Carers Sham and Sam said they’d ask if anyone was interested in having it.

Hristina (Polish, spoken as Christina), my favourite nurse, arrived, and my already well-reasonable level of contentment went through the roof. Of course, I love her. (I mustn’t get too excited but can’t help it). I can’t help that. But, being an enforced abstainer from the pleasures of coupling medically and many years too old, not to mention the catheter that ensured getting excited, is more than a rarity; it’s impossible, Humph! Now I’ve got myself all upset.
Hristina’s visit was a joy, but she was in a rush. Still, we managed a natter and laughed while she took the blood. ♥

Carer Sam did the midday call. I explained to Sam the problem I’m having getting a lift to the doctor’s next week. I explained about getting my trousers on and not being able to use the bus or taxi due to the cartilages, ulcers, shakes, etc., as I have done to so many carers for months now. Sam said she’d ask Warden Deana to see if she could help me. See how hard it is to get help? Now, the frustration started to appear, and the downward spiral began! (Mind you, it’s been a different but grand start to the day) Lovely. Thanks, Sam.

I did the morning BP check rather late in the day, I know. At least the SYS was a lot lower. The pulse was the highest for ages, as was the temperature.

I found this photo on the on the SD card. I probably took it this morning. Memory? Me? Pass! Which reminded me that I’d not emptied the catheter in a while, so I did!

By gum, the sun nearly got through late afternoon.
Nice to have pretty clouds up in the sky to photographicalise again.
Hello, hello. The catheter bag needs emptying again, and I’ve not been drinking the water for a while, so I did.

Look at the time. I’ll give up on this blog. The medical call Carer will be here soon.
Oh, he’s just arrived, it’s Christopher. Medications issued, and off he trottted.

These were taken spread over an hour.
Nice to see the sun.
Even only for a few minutes.

I’ll get some food prepped.
I cooked smoked belly pork and beans. Two wholemeal rolls will follow. I added liquid smoke and some basil-flavoured passata to the pan. Delicious!

A poor last shot of the day.

I woke up, checked, and removed the nocturnal catheter pouch from the day bag. I was eager to get going with the ablutioning. I seemed to be avoiding the usual morning depression today.  That’s good for me! As I pottered about getting the things ready to visit the wetroom, wind emitted from the rear end. So, sharpishly, I traipsed into the wet room to use the Porcelain Throne. It soon became obvious that yesterday’s Trotsky Terence affair was a one-off. I took this photo as the morning sunshine caught the General Hospital. It was captivatingly pretty, I thought.

I was smiling when I sat down. But no amount of urgings and pain would get things moving. So, I gave up, washed my hands, and decided to bet the ablutions after the first Carers visit. As I got into the kitchen, Carer Chris arrived. He got the medications sorted and my socks on. We had a short natter, not that we understand each other, accents and deafness on my behalf. Chris went on his way.

I began taking the things for showering and shaving into the wetroom, and as I opened the door…

It’s frightening how quickly one’s outlook on life can change. Depression can come on instantly and rapidly, followed by self-critical, lambasting thoughts and the desire to spit! I was so annoyed with myself for leaving the damned tap on to run cold. I felt I was physically shaking, I don’t think I was, but it certainly felt like it. I should have blamed
They seem to enjoy their brain-battering battles to see who can make my life more rotten. I’m now trying to blame them, but I just can’t help it when something distracts me or I get two things simultaneously.
Looking back at my jobs with Tesco, the co-op, and security, I realised that many things simultaneously needed attention. Yet I seem to recall coping well with the incidents back then. In fact, I was the one other people came to for help, and I got it. The anger turned to self-pity and sadness. But I’d sooner have than than the depressions. Well, maybe not really; the guilt of whatever I do that goes wrong also gets to me. Embarrassment and shame are always lingering dangerously for my mental health in the shadows.

I’ve tried to pass at the Porcelain Thrown 3 times until now (16:15hrs), but I have had no success. Blood and pain, yes! Hehe! Luck, well, good luck is an alien to me.
Bad luck; A constant late-life disciple of Lucifer.

Carer Sham midday. In a rush, but she still emptied the catheter for me. I had filled up rather quickly, but I’d not noticed it. (Fancy that, me not noticing something, Hahaha) Thank you, Sham. ♥

I eventually got on with the blogging. And, dare I say it, I was doing well. That was a fatal thing for me to be thinking! (Worrying that was)

The keyboard stopped working while typing. The light on the keyboard was still lit up. The mouse was still working.
The depression that turned into shame came back. No self-anger this time, just pure frustration and fed-uppers with my rotten luck. Not being technically capable, I investigated the situation. What to try, so all my limited abilities turned to solving the issue.
â‘  I changed the batteries in the keyboard. Rebooted the computer –  No, that didn’t work.
② Made sure the sender in the USB port was fully in.
No, that didn’t work.
③ I gave up on the keyboard and threw it on the recliner. Keep the pain-givers together. Then, why didn’t I realise it sooner? I realised I’d got a new keyboard I bought ages ago, so I decided to try to set it up.
④ Getting it out of the box was a work of art and must have taken me about ten minutes of struggling. Now, how do I set it up. I investigate the new keyboard further.
⑤ It was a bit of another struggle for me to get the battery hinge off. Fancy that!) Then, I saw it took AAA batteries, not the AA ones I have lots of in the flat!
⑥ Then a stroke of luck. (Worrying that was)
.
I found that the batteries were inside the computer!
⑦ I put the keyboard dongle in the USB port. Took out the old one. And rebooted the computer.
⑧ I bothered me that it was working. Then I got a Windows message telling me it had been successfully loaded, so I opened WordPress. And would you believe it…
HURRAH! It worked!

Of course, it had cost me two and a half hours to get it to work. But working it is! YeeHaa!

Now, to get the photos of the day on the blog.
I went to put the kettle on, and Carer Chris called.
He took some photos on the spare camera and changed the settings so that it clicked when a shot was taken.
He did it all so quickly for me, too. Bless Him!

No shower again; the hot water was not hot enough.

After putting the photos together, I found the one I thought I’d forgotten to take of yesterday’s meal: caramelised sausages, fresh peas, tomatoes, beetroot & red onions. Early evening sky, Bootiful!

I was going to turn on the TV to watch ‘Heartbeat’ while continuing the blog.

I could not find the remote control!
I got the torch and looked underneath the dilapidated, breaking up, partially doored, second-hand bought Hopewell’s E-plan cabinet, with 7 drawers, of which two are still working, hoping to find that the remote had fallen and slid underneath it. I found pens, a pencil, and dried-rock-solid fresh peas. Along with a 1960 Scan Security Certificate of Merit, training courses passed, and two of the missing Health Alert wristbands… along with an old laptop, four AA batteries and an old pair of glasses in a case. But, no remote!
I then searched almost everywhere: the junk room, hallway, wet room, and Kitchen. I even looked on the balcony. But no remote was found.

Then I foolishly tackled moving the ÂŁ300 second-hand shop bought, c1966. Moth-eaten, bedraggled, grotty, cringingly-beige-coloured, much-filthied, crumb-containing from my nocturnal nibblings, bug-ridden, itch-inspiring, not working recliner. I couldn’t get down to look underneath, as the last time I tried, I could not get up again.

So, hauling it around, inches at a time, in the small space it stood in was the only option.
I hoovered as I went along to reduce the mountain of dust, more rock-solid garden peas, more pens, and yet another mystery: three packets of French Fries with a sell-by date of February 2020. Ahem! This made me feel so guilty.
I nudged the chair a little more and…
Saw a corner of the remote control sticking out.
Got the bugger! But as I bent down to pull it clear, Back-Pain-Brenda and Dizzy Dennis kicked off, and with the physical jerks, I’d tangled the catheter pouch strappings that needed sorting out. I was not in good shape and left the chair all askew, and I got on the computer to make this rather sad report for my multitude of blog followers.
I hope they can both see the funny side.
I could, even in such pain. Hahaha! Carer Chris is coming later, I’ll beg him to help me get the recliner back in position. It’s up against the bed at the moment. And I’ll ask him for extra Codeine. I missed one earlier, so it should be okay, I am allowed up to four a day.

Carer Chris turned up, looking a little tired. I told him of the farce with the remote-searching mess, and he quickly put the recliner back in position for me.
I was still a little ‘out of it,’ Chris picked up on this. Thanks to him, I got the nocturnal pouch fitted, the diabetic socks removed, and a Codeine given. He also took the waste bags on his way out. Thanks, Chris!

I will get something to eat now. But I’ll not cook in this tired and confused state, and dragging or carrying the nocturnal bag around is too risky! I’ve got some chicken and fresh peas in the fridge. I’ll have a pot of instant potato with them. I won’t look good or be fine dining, but I must eat, and I’ll pray that the ailments let me rest and recuperate for once. Then in the early morning, I must get a good shower and shave. Please let me wake up early!
But first, please let me get some sleep! I don’t know who I’m talking to; it’s out of desperation.

Please give me a break tonight. I have Back-Pain-Brenda, Sherida’s Electrical Shocks, Dizzy Dennis, Cartilage Chloe & Carole, Anne Gyna, & other ailments.
That should do it. Hahaha!

Confused and tired, I made the no-cooking meal. No problem with the trailing 4ft nocturnal extension tube & pouch.

After washing the pots, I took five shots of the early-morning views from the kitchen. This is the only one that came out reasonably.

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

I settled in the ÂŁ300 second-hand shop recliner I purchased in 1966, which caused welts, was uncomfortable, did not work, was itch-inspirational, and contained crumbs.
I was intending to watch a recorded episode of ‘Heartbeat’. Soon, I was with Sweet Morpheus for two minutes at a time, repeatedly waking up with a jolt.
I gave up the TV idea, and amazingly, or perhaps not. I slowly drifted of back into the land of nod.
I woke up five hours later, and the door chime rang out when Carer Maryham arrived.

Another day in the life of Inchy Gerald Chambers.
Living Proof that Bad Luck in later life is to be expected. Nae, in his case, is guaranteed.
Without Cogniscent Impairment Iris, Doreen Dementia and all the ailments he’s accrued, life would be so dull.
Dull sounds attractive to him.

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
I revelled in appreciation for the 4 unbroken hours of a deep, satisfying, heavenly sleep last night. Then I suddenly jerked awake so violently that I all but fell off of the bed!
Became aware that , with her fellow ailment both kicking of by way of a morning greeting. This was at about 04:00hrs, and I resettled into a comfortable position to nod off back to sleep. But it wasn’t to be. The shaking awake had stirred my loins and brain, making any chance of kipping again impossible.
So, I decided to get up and have a stand-up wash and shave. ‘The best-laid plans of mice and men!’
I removed the nocturnal catheter pouch, went to the wet room to empty it, and safely packed it into the waste bag.
Then, I felt the need for the Porcelain Throne. Thanks to ‘s attention, the last two morning’s efforts failed. I spent ages waiting and hoping things would activate. I went through the usual routine: I had a go at the crossword puzzle, couldn’t get any clues solved, and moved to an earlier uncompleted crossword (I’ve many of them in the book). I counted the cracks in the ceiling and found 22 today.
I gave up in the end. But I’d spent so long in the wet room, praying, painfully pushing in efforts tp prompt things into action and failed, that it was too late to get a shower because it is liable that a Carer would call on me. I’m not sure if I read the clock correctly when I shot awake cause if it was what I thought, it meant I’d been in the wet room for over an hour and a half! Surely not? But knowing me… making mistakes, misreading, forgetting, losing, confusing time, articles, dates, etc., does come to me naturally nowadays.

This cannot be denied.

I tidied the bed and had an  . I knocked the box with the camera gear off of the bed table. I landed on my ingrowing toenail.

I went into the balcony with Kodak Two and took photos of the early morning views. I can’t explain the bonus hue on the right of photo two.
The next one seemed to have larger stars in the sky. This Kodak does not have a night-time or through-glass option for me to use. Sob!

As I started to finish off last night’s Inchy Today blog, the bowels’ innards movements had me hastening hobblingly back to the wetroom. Unfortunately, the catheter tube pulled on little Inchie as I stood up. Arrgh!
This visit was almost a repeat of the last one, a complete failure. But I didn’t spend so long trying to force the unenforceable to flow.

I washed up and returned to the computer to finalise yesterday’s blog. I finished it and posted it off good and early for once.

As I was starting to work on this blog, arrived and got the diabetic socks on for me. Medicationalised me, too.

The work on this blog was now taking me ages. The double-vision came on so much earlier today. I should have been aware of my getting up so early. Humph!

Then the kicked-in big time. So for an hour or so, I was on the verge of pressing my alert alarm. It seemed to affect me every few minutes, but not for any length of time.

Domestic Marie arrived. She hoovered up and titivated the kitchenette.

Then Carer Kimberley, who was doing the midday and financial help calls, arrived. Of course, Carer Karer is my official representative, so Kimberly could not help me contact the bank or insurance people I needed to sort. I hope Kara’s on holiday and not poorly.

I gave up on this blog. It was not working, with my concentration broken with the callers and the mini-mind blanks. I tried to get some Cartoons sorted out for the blogs.

Change of heart. I made an Iceland order for the weekend. I also ordered some medications, a big tub of food grade Bi-Carbonate Soda, and a cleaning box of the same. This will eliminate me from having to use rob-dogs Asda ever again. Medications are coming today; the rest will be on Thursday.

I searched for suitable, funny cartoons to make CorelDrawable and use. I’ve spent hours getting a few cartoons done. One in particular Tim and Dog may like on WordPress. I’m putting it on the blog on August 24th. I hope it tickles them.

The medication tracker was viewed again three hours later and is one call away. Hurray!

Now, I’m the next stop.
Can’t wait to get the teeth sprayed…

The top two split ends of the front teeth are going black now. Four on the bottom right and one on the top row are painful. But after spraying on this painkiller, the pain lessened a smidge almost straight away. I’m nervous about using too much with all the regular medications; it might affect something else.
Darer Carer and then Carer Precious arrived.
I took this shot of the front car park on Chestnut Way. I’m not sure when.
The end car park was photographed next. Both from the balcony.
Then, off I trotted to the wet room and Porcelain Throne. Half an hour later, and in more tremendous pain than earlier, I gave up again. “Will Inchy ever have an evacuation again?” Hehehe! I’ve a trick to try that might help for tonight, Chilli-con-carne?

I asked the Carer to read the instructions on the ready-made Chilli meal for me, and wrote down the timing for the microwave to use later. 3½ minutes – I minute rest and then 3 more minutes.

Much to my surprise, when I got back into the main hotel room, I noticed that it had been raining, but there were no signs of any other than on the deck. That shower didn’t last for long. We need more… It’s not often that we can say that in the UK.

I prepped the chilli meal in the microwave, and it had some chips in it. I also added some defrosted bread to soak up the extra gravy I made and added to it. Nothing wrong with the flavour at all. But the chips were too hard for the teggies, and the peppers got to exposed nerve ends a few times. Of course, I just laughed it off.
.
I washed the pots up and got down into the itch-creating, bruise-giving, catheter-tube-tugging, crumb-decorated from my nocturnal nibbling, God-awfully uncomfortable, cringingly grotty, no longer working, dirty beige, anti-sleep designed, c1966, second-hand bought for ÂŁ300 ten years ago from the charity shop, recliner. To watch an episode of ‘Heartbeat’.
I managed to last for about five minutes and nodded off into the depths of Sweet Morpheus.
And I woke to immediate panic… Panic? Why? I’ll tell you. Being so deep in sleep, I was aware that the medications had been delivered, and I thought straight away that it was them arriving. I got up quickly. Dizzy Dennis attacked as I got on my feet, and Cartilage Choe gave way. In seconds, I was a crumpled heap on the carpet! By good fortune, I was close to the ÂŁ300 second-hand shop purchased, c1966, welt-causing, uncomfortable, not-working, itch-inspirational, crumb-containing recliner, and used it to drag myself up on my feet as the Carer came in. No diabetic socks to take off cause I forgot to remind earlier carers to put them on for me. Precious put the night pouch on for me. No medications were needed because I’d taken so much of the toothache spray and didn’t want any reactions between the different medicines.

After he was done, I checked the taps (faucets), cooker, etc., just in case I had left any on. Taking these rather sad photos with Kodak, two of the night’s views are from the kitchen. I returned to the junk room and battled my way into the bed.  It’s not easy!

The master phrase to describe things today is not easy to select. I’m so far behind with everything and meandering. I’m losing track, forgetting, and struggling to see and hear things.
‘CONFUSION’
It is already Thursday, and the confusion is still with me.
Along with giving way a few times. In fact, when Carer Christopher was visiting Thursday morning, he saved me from a tumble with his quick reactions. Thanks, Chris!
The day was full of bafflement, confusion, and an inability to comprehend what was happening. I got weary and tired, and my eyes worsened far earlier than usual today.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Still not good.

Early morning view.

Rubbish readied. This reminded me of the damaged saucepans delivered by Amazon. One had a broken handle end and two dents in another. I can’t be bothered complaining; I’ve enough worries to cope with without this.

Off to the Porcelain Throne.
Messy!

The lower legs had thinned, but around the knees, the Cartilages and behind the knees were bloated.

Front rubbish room balcony shot.

Made a mug of tasty Thompson’s Punjana tea.
I started the notes and am ready for blog creation.

Within an hour, the eyes began to go double-vision. This was very annoying, as up until then I thought I’d been doing so well. Serves me right; I should have known. Progress after this was painstakingly slow. Mistake-ridden, too!

I think the sky began to darken early.

I had just a ready-made Beef in black bean sauce for the evening’s meal. I had this because it had a use-by date of today. But it was alright.
Some leftover sliced bread and a wholemeal roll helped me soak up the black bean sauce. Slurp! I had to disk the white bread when I found some green mould. I washed the pots, carefully not leaving the tap (faucet) running.

I had to give up early on the computer, and my eyes were not up to it. So, I cleared some rubbish into a waste bag and left it near the door for collection.

This I assume, was a snap of the clouds.
But it could be anything.

Got down in the c1966, ÂŁ300 Oxfam charity shop bought, second-hand, wincingly grotty, beige coloured, crumb-covered from my nocturnal nibblings, itch-making, uncomfortable, positively unhealthy & dangerous, no longer operational, virus-breeding, easy-to-fall-out-of, Catheter-tube-trapping, recliner. And off into the bliss of sleep…

Carer Israel came in. He gave me the medications. I gave him some treats, and off he went. It seemed to me that ten minutes later, he was back, waking me up. Haha!
He removed the diabetic socks and gave me some Peptac and a painkiller (Codeine).
Could I get to sleep again this time? No!
It was one of those nights that was in a determined, mind-blowing mission to remind myself of all the things I loved but cannot get, enjoy or even do nowadays.
He rampaged through my brain non-stop for hours.
I got so angry with myself because it was obvious to me that the messages, put-downs, and fears brought to my attention were from myself, or maybe or . Is this the same thing?

It was a horrendous night!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
There was a twinkle in my neighbour’s eye,
As she’d taken it out I asked her why,
She smiled. I noticed she was tooth-free,
Her reply: “I can’t find my hearing aid battery!”
I said, Oh, I’ve lost my spectacles, see!
We both had a catheter, we couldn’t manually pee,
I led her to her flat, smilingly…
Told me she’d lost her key…
We opened the key-safe, eventually,
I went back to flat 73…
Could I find it? Not Me!
Carer led me to it, and I had a mug of tea!.
Hehehe!

Sorry, it’s not a good one (blog) from here on.
The England match, Seizures with the shock of them winning on penalties, the tumble, and much-needed sleep overtook me.
Highlights here and there, but little written content.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Very dark.

Unknown why I took this. I can’t recall taking it.

Morning.

Taken seconds before the tumble.
Struggled to get the slippers on. You can see the loose carpet I slipped on seconds later between the slippers.

Waste sorted.

Bootiful!

Food delivery.
4 Frazzles were ordered and charged for, and 2 arrived.

Football Match. Seizure.

Taken to the right.
Taken to the left, both from the kitchen.

Still kaki, almost cube-shaped.
Had to patch up the compression dressing, then do the usual medicationings, olive oiled the wears, and Germoloided the haemorrhoids. Acne and Barrier creams were applied.
Had a struggle to get the PPs on today.
And getting the Phorpain Gel on;
MedPhorpainIt was as painful as it had ever been.
Talk about making myself jump, which, of course, got the Cartilages playing up. With the compression tackle on the right leg, I can no longer use Phorpain to ease the agony. Hehehe!
So, more painkillers were taken. At least getting dressed was not so bad; it was just the long pullover nightshirt.

The carer arrived and got the one odd bamboo diabetic sock and slippers on for me.

Fantastic sun rays are coming through the cloud to the right of the balcony. Had the alien invasion started? Hahaha!

Lamburgers with sliced tomatoes in sourdough rolls, & a can of carrots & peas were cooked and served up. A pot of mandarin segments in orange jelly was the day’s dessert.

What a great hue later on!
A Pareidoliaising Delight!
Heads, eyes, animals, Great!

Here’s the brolly revealed that I could not find!

I’m even further behind with the blog this morning. Today was busy, which naturally sunk my plans, intentions, and concentration into non-existence.
Hence, I’m so far behind with everything. The seizures were fewer today, but some lasted for so long.
No help with the finances, but Carer Jenny helped with domestics. Mopped the kitchen and wet room floors
for me. Hoovered around, not under anything, but the gal was running out of time. Thanks a lot to Jenny.
On with the dairy…

I woke at around 05:00 hrs after a terrible, broken, dream-filled, ever-waking-up night I’d sooner forget about. I struggled out of bed. It’s surprising how some mornings are so much more challenging than others. I soon discovered the reason for this morning’s bother. It was down to two things; , and agony coming from  . The swelling behind the patella and back of the leg hurt the moment I moved the leg. Trying to get my balance, a normal routine, was not assisted by my right ankles and PN shocks kicking off.
I emptied the pouch, made up a bag of all the bin bags, and left it near the front door.
The innards grumbled, rumbled, and ground all at the same time. Just as I passed the wet room. Nice and convenient that was. This session was almost identically as messy as yesterday’s, but boy, did it funk more! Yes, it did! I did my teggies and washed, medicationalisationing various bodily parts in need. I had to put some cream on my underarms; they were red and so painful when I moved. But I could not remember which cream to use. Over the last few days, I tried the acne cream, but it made them worse. Th
en the barrier cream, that made things even worserer! This morning, I tried putting Germolene on the underarms. I’ll ask a Carer in the morning to ring the Doctor for me, and ask for some more suitable cream to use.
I removed the catheter bag to take this shot of the swollen,
and kneecap. Should Saint Peter send me back to earth at the gates, I’ll ask if I can become a Doctor this time, a Neurologist and Psychiatrist. Just in case I need to self-treat myself in the next life. Cause nobody is interested in this life. In fact, I’m even losing interest now.
Hahaha! I think I’ve used the wrong photo above?
I took this terrible picture from the kitchen window as I made a mug of Glengettie tea. The urologist only allows two cups a day, but over the last three days, I’ve only had one! I just seemed to go off of it. But the pangs returned today, and I think I had four mugs of tea. To assuage my guilt, I used  Lacto-free milk. Most of the tea went cold, as I kept making mistakes and errors on the blogging!

Back to the flipping again. A bit of a mess again.
arrived a little late, he said the timings had changed again. No one told me other than Shaq. Medications, diabetic socks put on, and we had a little natter.
I started making an Iceland order and got carried away. They had some offers on full cases of Lucozade and Coke. After making the full order, I ordered some, but I realised that I’d spent ÂŁ88. I put the full order on screen, only to find that almost everything was unavailable! The ÂŁ88 was now…
Nine items were unavailable! I thought about this later on. I suppose with it being full cases, they may have been available only at the shops, not on deliveries? I made up the minimum order and sent it off. I forgot about the potatoes I’d thrown away that had gone off, so I amended the order, adding a bag.

arrived to do the medications and some domestic work. Jenny was her usual jolly self. She mopped the kitchen and wetroom floor at my behest. And had a quick hoover around the place for me. No financial help this week.

The subsequent catheter day pouch emptying went differently.
Bubbles and bits of what I assume were my prostate floated in the urine. A decent colour, all the same! A couple Kodak Tim’s blotches there.

Afternoon and late afternoon photographs of the view from the balcony window here.
Nothing spectacular, but I found them fascinating. I still can’t understand why, but I do.

came in. Medications were given, and I took his Health checks, blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rate. He had a very high diastolic of 92, which worried me a smidge. I’ve had higher, but that is to be expected with my problems. After the lad had gone, I analysed the results on the NHS site. It came back as Hyper One Low. So, it was not as bad as I’d expected. His SYS was lower, which balanced it a little, I think.

I pressed with making a pig’s-earhole of the blogging.
Over the next two hours, I kept nipping out to record the beauty of the evening skies.
I still can’t get used to it being so light now that we’ve changed the season to summer.
The last one brought to mind a Zeppelin. Loved the C-shaped bottom cloud.

Then, it had to come; I’d not had one for two days…
I noticed the mess underneath the Carer’s table and stretched with the picker-upperer to retrieve a tablet and bits of silver foil on the carpet… THUD! Down I went on my knees! Cut my lip (as I thought, it turned out to be a bleeding tooth) on my way down. The pure agony from both knee cartilages was bad enough… then I felt the urine valve leaking on my leg! I’d caught the tap and opened it! So, that at least stopped the leak, but the more painful, risky and time-consuming mission was to get back up on my feet again!
& were the most significant handicap. The pain even had me wincing! After repeated failures to get up using the recliner and , I was on the verge of pressing that alarm wristlet. But I knew what would happen if I did. The operator would ring for an ambulance. They did this on the last two occasions I’ve tumbled. The first one, a bad one, I lay on my back. The lady rang for an ambulance and kept checking on me. Not that I could hear her, flat on my back, with the microphone facing upwards on the cabinet. As with every call, all I needed was for her to ring the Carers and ask for help getting me back on my feet or in a chair. 4 hours later, the ambulance had not arrived, and I somehow got through the agony, from sheer desperation really, cause the Catheter bag was chocker-block, and I feared it would burst.
Anyway, I got up then after 4½hrs, and she cancelled the ambulance. I didn’t think I would get myself up, and I was on the point of pressing the button. From somewhere, my grit and determination flourished. I managed to go through the pain barrier and into the c1966, ÂŁ300 Oxfam charity shop bought, second-hand, wincingly grotty, beige coloured, crumb-covered from my nocturnal nibblings, itch-making, uncomfortable, positively unhealthy & dangerous, no longer operational, virus-breeding, easy-to-fall-out-of, Catheter-tube-trapping, recliner. I had to sit there for a while to recover from my efforts and the pain. I found the  . Well, leaking. Both kneecaps and Cartilages calmed down pain-wise amazingly quickly. The toe nail on my right foot took the lead as the primary pain player!
The tablets, tinfoil and empty tablet boxes are still underneath the Carer’s table. And there they will stay!
Pain? Agony? Embarrassment? Yes! But I am a heroic pain-bearer, brave, and not in the least bit concerned over such a trifling , I treat them with mere frivolity flippancy and see the amusing funniness they can cause.
. Possibly.

I turned off the computer and gingerly hobbled along with my walking stick to the kitchenette to make a meal.

I was in the kitchen for a long time, prepping the vegetables and trying not to cut myself. Haha! While preparing the food, I stopped several times to record the changing evening views. Each one was delightful to me.

I do love the clouds. But why?

Here’s the nosh.

A vegan meatless pastie.
Yellow and red peppers, courgettes, beetroot, sweet potato, red onions, sugar snap peas, and cubed white potatoes were all sprayed with olive oil and cooked in the oven. I added the pasties later, so they were cooked simultaneously.
A small pot of clementines in orange jelly followed.
Bootilicious!
The last picture was taken when I was busy washing up. The red area under both armpits began to sting again.
I am lucky, you know!

This was an easy one; even with Cataract and Glaucoma problems, I found them within 10 seconds.

The urine looks a decent colour. Carer Sam thought it was number 3 on the NHS scale.

I started the ablutions. I cut shaving cream, cut gums while cleaning my teeth, and stubbed my toe against the support bar. These were not unusual incidents; they were everyday incidents. Hehehe!
The ankle ulcer looked likely to erupt again. But blessedly, the Left and were rare today, as indeed they were last night in bed, only had three.
I noticed that the finger’s mystery blue patches were back again. They don’t hurt, and it’s not often I can say that about my ailments, especially the catheter tube giving Little Inchy so much stick!
The cut lip from yesterday’s was scabbing up already. I could see it later on, and the blood flowed.

I opened the window to take this shot but got wet in the rain.
I closed it and took this shot as the rain suddenly got a lot heavier. I’d like to point out that I didn’t trap my finger! I’d turned off the flash, so I think the flash on the photo must have been from the reflection of the lightbulb.

Sorted the waste bins into one bag.

The end car park mudslide was building up.

I got on with updating yesterday’s blog. But for some unknown reason, the damned tube was so painful this morning. And it felt again, just like yesterday, that I thought I was getting a backflow? Still, it’s only pain. Luckily, I have an incredible pain tolerance level and am a brave, heroic sort of chap, you know.
It made concentration difficult, and, of course, many mistakes were made and corrected. I expect I missed many.

Carer Shaquille called. Medicated me, put the diabetic socks on for me, and the light build blew! He heard it crack!
I got the spare out of the cabinet, and he offered to swap the bulbs. He’s a tall lad who could reach up easily enough.
It took him ages, as the bayonet in the socket had a bit of plastic broken off, making it difficult to fit it in, but he did it. The replacement bulb had a clear glass. Boy, it’s got a bright light; neither of us could believe it.
Thank you, Shaquille! Saved the day!

I tried to concentrate on the blog as best as I could. Cock-up, following a mistake, quickly followed by another error.

Carer Sam arrived. I was telling her about the problem and pain with the Catheter. (Which, incidentally, eased off a lot of hours later.) However, the pains started almost the second Little Inchie got some respite.
It’s being so lucky that keeps me going, you know.

Still raining!

I think this was an unintentional snap that I took. I’m not sure what I Kodak-Tim’d.

The flow of urine increased. It suddenly became less frequent that I had to empty the pouch. And I was busy blogging (or making mistakes), so I wasn’t drinking anywhere near the usual spring water intake. But what I was passing was gin clear with none of the fluffy bits in it. I was baffled and in pain at the same time. After about an hour, the flow restarted.
Then the pain lessened, still there, but far less severe.
I thought, what’s going on here?

Carer Israel arrived as I was emptying the pouch into the jug.
He pointed out that the fluffy bits were back again! Embarrassingly, he looked at the tube entry point and noticed that light brown gunk around the plastic tube had also returned. He wanted to ring the Doctor for me. But the pain was easier to cope with. (Of course, it got worse later. Tsk!)

It’s still raining!

Took this shot later. Came out fairly well.
Apart from the blotchy smudges, of course.

I noticed this advertisement when looking for local snippets earlier in the day.
It reminded me of my cyber buddy, Tim Price in New Mexico. He’s a clever photographer and naturist, amongst other qualities. He lives near a bosque, and his photographs of the local Owls are just great. Here’s one in particular that I think should be in a nature or art gallery.
Brilliant!
I’d loved to have gone on a visit to see the baby owls.

This is the early morning shot of the mudslide.
This one is how it looks now! Wet!

I think the rain is easing off.

Ten minutes later – Yes, at last!

A late call from Carer Israel is due anytime now.
Then it’s food, then Kip for me!
Israel arrived. My socks were taken off, medication was given, and he checked the Catheter for me. Gunk still leaking from the tube at the insertion point. Tsk!

Food attended to.

How did you do?
Well, that should have been easy enough.
Even I got two of them. Hehe!

Sorry, but this will have to be rushed. I’m so far behind with everything after the ÂŁ290 CorelDraw 2004 programme I just installed a few days ago crashed four times. As usual, a message came up after reloading each time, wanting my email and an explanation of what I was doing when it crashed, and I lost everything I’d done! Then I had more bother when the Control+I, and E did not work. The trouble is, if I do find a way around it, I forget how I did it the next time it happens.
And, when I was making some comment replying, WordPress blinked, and the comment disappeared! I turned everything off and rebooted. It was still off in the ether. But then I could not access the comments at all! This morning, it seems to be working… hang on, I’ll check again… They came up, but I’m not going to risk answering yet, until I get this blog done.

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Pouch.

Urgh!
Yet it took ages to get started?

Hoovered the hallway.

Balcony sky view.

The first mug of Glengettie.
I let it go cold as I fought for hours to get CorelDraw working again. It was not easy; unbelievable it took me three hours! I’m still not confident.

A food order arrived. I think I’d bought comfort food. Balson shortbread biscuits, lemon mousse, pork pie, marmite nibbles, with some tomatoes (which were nice!), and sliced potatoes.

Drinkies, some for the treat shelf, vinegar and seasoning.

As the evening approached, the sky looked good.

I was fed up with all the time I wasted on computing, so I made an early meal for myself. Well, why not?
Pigged the meal down.
Thoroughly enjoyed it. But the sense of doom over the WordPress and CorelDraw problems would not leave.

Many blank spots throughout the day. Sorry.

Took this shot from the kitchen window.
Thought it was good and showed hope that the Borealis may return later… Not that was awake, so I don’t know if it did show up in the skies or not… sky or not.
I did wake up around 03:00 hrs, thanks to the , and hazily made my way to the window to take this picture.

Not sure if that was the moon or not?

I got the chalk, Hehe!

TTFNski, Each!
