It is now 10:00hrs on Sunday. Just about to start updating this blog from here. No ankle shocks as yet. But Cartilage Carole is still inflamed from the tumble. Sparse details on the notepad.
Is this blog in a Whoopsiedangleplop-Noi mode? Hehe!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Gotten Himmel!

Struggled out of the bed, and tidied it up a bit.

Cleaning up took ages!
The ankles looked so much better.

The first-morning shot of the day.

The computer is on. I made a start on this blog, but not much. arrived with . The nibbles were attacked with some relish, and Chris took his drinkie treat. As they left, unobligingly kicked off.

.
I espied that the drizzle was falling, and went in the balcony to take this shot through the glass. The rain stopped within about ten minutes, not to be seen again.

They kept visiting me for varying amounts of time, ranging from a few seconds to ten minutes or so. I’m fed up with these!

kicked in. I needed some pain relief. I doused the mouth and teeth with the Pain-relief-Spray several times throughout the day. Probably a little too often. I also added a 20g Nurofen Meltlet to each bottle of the spring water that I have to drink each day to keep the urine flowing onto the catheter. I’m fed up with this, too!

The Memory Blanks kept coming. remained a permanent, perpetually pestering, penalising, paralysing, spirit-pulverising, problematising, sanity-purging, perduring, pillorying, and punishing persistent all-day partner that I could well have done without!
I’m well pissed of with him, too!

was in the right mood with me. So, I added one dissolvable tablet into two of the spring water bottles, which I have to drink each day to encourage the damaged bladder to pass the urine pouch on my leg to ease the pain. I’m really, really pissed off with this!

The hazy morning tempted me to try the new Kodak camera to take a couple of shots from the kitchenette windows.
I don’t think the first one of the houses came out too well. It was a little blurry, but the whole scene to the keys was a smidge hazy, as was the sky. But it was gorgeous to me.

Inchy got them, but not within the 10 seconds.

From this point, the seizures came on rapidly. I recall coming in with new. I feel we had a discussion and laughed about things, but I am not certain of what it was about. I can recall getting my words mixed up and forgetting the words needed. Finally, I finished the Friday blog and posted it to WordPress.

What happened the following two hours is anyone’s guess.

and new , arrived.
It was confusing, too. All the usual signs of a seizure; hard to find words, I was, I think, rabbiting on, verbose.  I fear I may not have been understandable to them or them to me.

I think I fell asleep. When I woke up, I took these shots of the sunset as it disappeared over the horizon.

Started to prep a meal that was easy on the teeth to eat.
Taking these shots a little later while in the kitchen.

I sprayed some of the pain relief on my teeth, then carefully, slowly, almost delicately, ate the snack. Nice!

I went into the kitchen to wash the tray and cutlery and…

I had a stroke of bad luck – (As if I needed to say that!)
gave way, and at the exact same time, I got a high-voltage shock from the right ankle via  . Resulting in my going down on one knee and hitting my head en route to the floor. The waking stick fell first, and the knee on top of it!
It all happened in a split second, and by the time I’d recovered enough to try to get back up again, I noticed I’d left the hot water tap running. How did I know this? The flood-water alarm went off! I had to rush getting up to reply to the alarm box voice, wanting to know what had happened and if I needed help!
I got near enough so they could hear my cringing apology and tell them everything was okay. Thank you.
By now, the pains had increased from , , , and the lump on my head. (I’ve no idea what I hit with it, but the radiator is the most likely suspect, I think) And , joined in with taking overall control of the situation!
A bit dodgy in my balance, I made my way to the computer chair and settled for a few minutes. I’m not sure if it was a signing in again or signing out sign, but send me what I hoped would be a final electric shock up the leg that reached up as far as my kneecap!
Feeling mildly out-of-sorts, I just sat quietly for a while. Which proved to be ten seconds. Hehe! As and new , and came in
After Chris stopped laughing at the slight scratch on my head, he took a photo of it.
As to be expected, I cannot recall the whole visit, but think we had a natter about something. I can remember Chris taking a can of plonk and some nibbles as they shot off home. No offer of diabetic socks being put on or a night pouch was attached. That is not blame offering; most likely, in the state I was in, I did not ask them to do so, either.
In the morning, I found these late-night shots taken obviously through the kitchen windows. It seems I got the wobbles on while taking the first one, and I probably realised it and took the second one. This is all supposition, of course.
I can’t recall when, or taking them at all.

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Doesn’t yer know that today started so well that I was questioning my own insanity? What a start to this prospectively enlightening, trouble-free, and confidence-returning day! Then I climbed out of the hospital-provided bed, caught the catheter pouch tube against the metal anti-fall bars, and without any hassle or leaks occurring! Fan-bloody-tastic!
The colour of the urine was classified by Carer Richard later, as a seven on the NHS rating colour card. That was a bit of a downer for me. Yet, I found myself whistling, well, I say whistling. I was trying to whistle; it was not easy with me losing another half-tooth to the land of rot and yesterday. Still, I laughed it off; even when Little Inchy’s fungal lesion started to bleed, I kept up my pecker… Honestly!

I’m off to visit the Porcelain Throne and have a stand-up wash and shave. I must remember to ask Warden Deana about getting the shower head mended. Having failed on the Porcelain, I started to have a shave, and I gave myself a little cut.
I put the Kodak Tim in my gown pocket and tried to take a selfie shot of how little the nick was.
The steam from the water blurred it. Shame! That double chin was embarrassing as well!
I then put on the Protection Pants in record time with far less hassle and pain than I usually do. By gum, today is going so well!
Feeling a little perky, I turned to leave the wet room and involuntary shoulder-charged the edge of the door! The response was a bit of bad language and a dip in perkiness!

I took a photo of the morning view from the kitchenette window and put the kettle on to make a brew of Thompson’s Punjana tea.
Then, I emptied all of the waste bins into one and placed it near the door for the Carer to pick up for me.
As I turned to hobble back to the kitchen to make my tea, guess what?  I against the towel dryer. Now, I was beginning to feel a little riled, ruffled, ratty, almost to the point of getting hacked off.

Carer Richard arrived, and I forgot to ask him yp put my diabetic socks on. Thus, I’ve been having activities from the vicious ‘s via  .
I wish someone could tell me why, although I expect I may know. It’s with. Of course, I could well be wrong about that. You know, I’m becoming something of an expert in getting things wrong these last few years. No effort on my behalf is needed.
I was well behind on getting this blog started. So I knuckled down while I knew there were no carers to call and did a pretty lousy job on CorelDraw, and then WordPress kept changing the font on its own accord. I spent about two hours trying to find a cure. I did some risky, easy-to-forget and lose where I was amended in the Settings and Appearance options. But although it accepted my different font in the editing sections, it did not change them on the blog editor. Sometimes, it would be on the Preview. Back to the editor and the old font was back.
Nearing losing my marbles with the frustration, I thought I’d try a different font… and the door chime rang out.
! It was a man and woman (Amelia) from Specsavers checking the eyes. It was, I suppose, perfectly understandable that I forgot they were coming.

Between , supported by   it’s no surprise. They came in, barely hiding their disgust at the state of the room with the bed in it. Their superiority oozed from them as they went through the selling parts of their mission. Q & A’s. Sense of humourless. Prospective future Oligarchs, I think. Anyway, it seems I am cataract-free in both eyes. They think it must be the Glaucoma that’s causing the problems.

Arrived, full of beans. Gave her some nibbles and a drinkie for her kids. No medications were needed; I was too confused to take any after the WordPressing farce. Which is what I returned to after she rushed off on her duties.
It took another four hours of fighting to get the font I wanted to work on. I failed. Now I can’t remember what I’d done to try and get it accepted in the first place. Had enough of this.  Frustration Frank visited.

Now, the persistent painful got as bad and persistent as she’s ever been. Carer Chris came, and I’m blown if I can recall much of the visit. I certainly didn’t make any notes on the pad, which indicates to me, that I possibly had some or most likely a or two.

Tired out now, but still messing about trying to sort out the changing font issue. Sod it, I made a brew of Glengettie tea and enjoyed it. Oh, I’ve just realised I’ve not had a Porcelain Evacuation all day!

If a need for food develops, then I might have an evacuation. I have more eyes and shoots to remove from the potatoes before putting them in the oven.
I took these pictures on the left earlier and forgot about them; it could happen to anyone, I say.

But the odds are it’ll be me!

Gorgeous clouds.

Then, I had another go at this blog. I’m not certain what’s happened or happening now.
But I was brought back to reality a smidge when the bloody, costly WordPress package started changing the font again. The obvious reason for this? Me! I doubt I am capable any more!
Amazingly, I grafted away without struggling to see as bad as I usually do in the evenings. I spent hours, most of the time, changing the font back and making errors. Eventually, I gave up. I had to. It’s now 01:45 in the morning.  I’m drained and tired out, and I just smelt the burning potatoes in the oven! Another oven tray to throw away. More potatoes to de-scab and cook again. Which I did, smilingly, happily, contentedly… I speak LYINGLY Hehehe!
I did take these final photos. I hope to stay awake long enough to snap a photo of the potato meal. That is if I don’t get a  or fall asleep and burn these potatoes. I do live well!

I forgot, Warden Deana called with my change for the foot lady and told me that poor Josie was not the woman we all know in the home she went to after her fall.

Back in the morning… well, it’s morning already, innit.
I made a meal for the third time, and I got to eat instead of burn it.
Nothing fancy, but I was hungry, so I enjoyed it.

Sometimes, haziness can turn into fuzziness or, occasionally, frazzled-dazzlement. This morning was that day. Things started foggy mentally, yet my vision had a degree of clarity for an hour or so. The blogging flowed flowingly until the eyes returned to double vision, and static things seemed moving. This worsened as the day progressed, but this is usual nowadays. And as for the new ailments, I’m running out of names to give them. Hehe! Today’s naughty ailments included: , , , ,  , along with , , , & several nasty  & . No doubt these were assisted by .
Carers Richard, Kimberly & Chris attended. The camera was digesting photos again and sending them into the ether.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Far too dark, again!

Carer Kimberly took a photo of my head wound that I knew Nothing about. So, there’s nothing new there!

Bootiful clouds!

A rather skimpy early meal. But it tasted nice. Podded fresh peas, a pastie and a dab of pickled ketchup.

Afternoon, the sun was in and out for hours.

Medications are needed in certain areas.
Bottom rear department…

Carer Chris arrived, taking snaps of the leg and ankle problem area. I must ask someone to call the District Nurse; maybe they can send a photo of the infected area?
The electric shocks were climbing up the leg!

This is the last shot of the day that Kodak Tim allowed onto his SD card, but where did they go? How? Why?

Sleep was no problem tonight… Now, staying asleep was a horse of a different colour! I lost count of the times I detonated and burst into wakefulness! Although it was the longest overnight period of skip I’d had for a long time, I reckon actual sleeping amounted to a couple of hours at most.

Oh, flipping heck, pickled walnuts and groats! Just look at the colour of the pouch contents this morning! So, so dark! That was my fault, methinks. I told Carer Richard I’d try to take my diabetic socks off and fit the night bag myself, as he was not up to it. The lad still struggling with his poor legs. But, me being me, I could not get the diabetic socks off, and I fell asleep and didn’t put the night bag on. Life is a struggle for both of us. I was so glad to see him, though. So I left the socks on. As soon as I got on my feet, the electric shocks started from the ankles, and they have been on and off all day, as of 15:00hrs. Cartilages Chloe and Carole are taking it, in turn, to give way, as well. Carer Kimberley came, and I took some Kodak Tim shots. When the gal departed, I got the SD card out to load the shots onto the computer…
!

Only the open photo was on the card. Was that the urine pouch? I must have taken about ten more.
I got the card back in Kodak Tim and took a couple more, but they were not on the card. I swapped cards, tried again, and had no luck. Now I was almost in tears! Shit!

I lost interest after that. I turned on the TV to watch the football, only to see Ukraine lose to Romania. Then France won… Nothing is going right at all!

Then, a series of events played out. I can’t even get a wash and shower because I forgot to ask Carer Kimberly to take my socks off. Depression kicked in then. So, I had to try something to get back online, so I decided to have a stand-up wash and shave, but I didn’t enjoy it.
What utter frustrations!

Back in a bit… hello, the intercom is chiming out. I could see a nurse at the door, let her in, and started thinking of the things I wanted to tell and ask her: the electric shocks from the ankles, the cartilage, and the toothache. The doorbell chimed, and when I got to open the door, the nurse said she was looking for a lady. She realised she had come in the wrong block and needed Winchester Court, not Woodthorpe Court. My sinking spirits sank even further.
Off to the wet room.

I’m back and in a slightly teeny-weeny, microscopic, tinyish,  itsy-bitsy, almost imperceptible bit of a better mood. Why? I’m not quite sure. It possibly has something to do with cleaning my teeth and shaving without the slightest hint of a cut or bleeding.

Late on, Carer Chris arrived. He looked at the camera for me, used his phone camera to take a shot of the evening clouds, and emailed the picture to me. I got it on here Tuesday morning.
He’s caught the essence of the night sky very well. Not that I was jealous, of course. Chris had cleaned through the mechanics of the camera for me.

I made the evening meal and then tried using Kodak Tim again. It was hit-and-miss. The meal photo went through (Yee-Ha!), but my sky shot did not reach the SD card? Lamburger cobs and fries. 8.8/10.

Given way today – Cartilages Chloe left (3) & Cartilage Carole (1). Right Ankle Albert. Peripheral Pete (right side). And a new one for me… Following a particularly vicious bout of Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley, it went into a mildly painful stiff mode for about an hour or so. As the day went on, my eyesight got worse and worse. I had to give up blogging. Still, I got to watch the football, but reading the subtitles was hard work. So, this is another late issue for my worldwide fan club. I hope that neither of them minds too much.

Another number 5 colour rating for the overnight pouch contents. For some unknown reason, there was not very much of it this time.
A kitchenette shot of the morning view. Yes, it was raining again. The horison was misty with it, at the same time. Blotchy spots, again.
A few hours later, the rain was beginning to die down as I snapped this photograph.
Gave myself a little toe-stubbing as well.
Our famous mud-slide at the end car park had spread well.
Talking of spread well, I adjusted my order for Tuesday from Asda, adding some Marmite Spread and the delicious No-Butter butter from Flora. Great on sarnies, especially tasty when mixed into the boiled or baked potatoes. Yummy!
As the late afternoon brightened up, I was pleased to report that an array of adorable clouds was on view. Pareidolia’s Delight. I could see a whale and various animal heads and faces. But not when taking the shots. But afterwards, blown up in CorelDraw.
ACCIFAUXPAS:
Getting the chips out of the oven. I burnt a finger again on the oven tray racking. But it’s worth mentioning, really, compared to the last time I did it, which must have been about two months ago now. I don’t think the scar will ever disappear from this one.
The third visit to the Porcelain Throne.
Another messy, Trotsky Terence in charge affair. The other two were similar.

Little Inchies fungal lesion had been leaking blood again. It had soaked the PPs, and I had to ease them off, pulling more hairs out with the dried blood. Then, I had to clean things up, medicate the lesion, and get fresh PPs on. That was more painful than treating the lesion! But only just.
This is interesting to me anyway because I can’t recall taking the photo at all, let alone why I snapped this view. What was in it? It’s a mystery.

While waiting for the chips to cook, I took two snaps of the pretty view from the kitchen window.
The blotches on the pictures are included, free of charge.
I thought these looked relatively peaceful and restful. I’m not sure why, though.

I agree that it is not precisely an imitation of the Gordon Ramsey-designed and made meal. In fact, it’s a commoner’s nosh: sausages, garden peas, chips, and sausage-sized rounds of Milk Toll loaf to be dipped in pickle-flavoured tomato ketchup. For afters, there is a Muller lemon dessert.
Not bad at all!

A final blotchy shot of the sky after I’d got it all on a tray. I went back to the TV to watch the England match. And that was a disappointment, but at least they won, only on points.

ARRGH! I woke, coughed a little, and edged toward the side of the bed to get my legs down… By Gum, it was painful! Both , and , the second one, in particular, did not like being moved at all. I suppose an Arrgh! Would describe it at the time. When the legs were lowered, and I tackled, standing on them, Arrgh! Seems far too timid an expression to use.
I had to riskily sit down again to get at the , for removing it. Took a poor snap of it here.
Even darker this morning.
I went to the kitchen to check if I’d left any of the taps running, the cooker on, or the fridge or freezer doors open. Everything looked good, so I took the above photo from the kitchenette window.
Then I got the dressing gown, socks, and shirts from the laundry bag that Carer Christopher returned last night and that I’d forgot to sort out. Made a mess of the snap of the T-shirt Sister Jane bought for me… “Grumpy Little Elf”, indeed! Hahaha!
I topped up the carer’s and nurses’ nibble boxes on the carer’s table.
Then, I got the waste bags into one. The knees were not getting much better. I’ll be glad to get to the doctor’s appointment to have them checked over. The very thought of the injections working and hopes of some pain relief instead appeals to me.
Off to the wet room, Porcelain Throne duties and ablutions to do.
Constipation Conrad was back in control. At least the pain from the ginormous concrete torpedo that eventually slowly emerged, and I was doing rather well on the crossword, too, took the pain of the knees away for a few minutes. Until I had to stand up to clean up!
The teeth cleaning brought bleeding. The shaving did not! Fantastic! A bit of a downer, though. I struggled to get the clean PPs on after washing and took a semi-tumble. Luckily, I tumbled towards the corner, which saved me from buzzing for help getting back up again. With the state of my knees today, there would be no way I get back up on my own. Naturally, the drooping day bag pulled like heck on Little Inchies, and I had to clean up and medicate. It could have been much worse. I got the dressing gown on and wobbled to the computer to put the photographs on WordPress, which was ready to use. I thought I’d better cause when the nosh arrives later, I’ll have less to do and maybe save some time. I found this photo on the card? A classic cock-up, I’m thinking?
The Asda order arrived, and it was a big one. Carrying the bags through to the kitchen upset the Cartilage girls. Hehe!
The top-up for the treat drinks was left in the doorway. They were the most hurtful to carry.
Daffodils are to be given to the
wardens and handed to whoever. I topped up the drinkies shelves in the front room with the new cans delivered.
Flavoured Cider, Carlsberg, and Corona are amongst them.
A lot of long-life foods go into the cupboards. Some packets of instant mash. Fresh spuds, brown Baguettes, and tiny pots of sour lemon jellies.
♥ arrived as I’d just got back on the computer. She put my diabetic socks on for me. Medications were handed over. She was hurrying this morning, but we managed the odd natter.
A fine rain descended, and the whole place became so cold. I was glad Marie had fitted my socks.
Brrr!

For an hour or two, I was out of it. Nothing was done on the computer or anything at all during that period. Had it been a , I’d still have been working on the blog and found some done, but it wasn’t.

I arrived a minute after clearing the fog of what must have happened. She sorted the medications. She listened to me as I told her of the Doctor’s and Clinic Appointments needing a lift.
She was busy, too, and said she’d look at things tomorrow for me. I was surprised at how light stayed tonight. To those unaffected by FND, or , they would have naturally expected it, considering the time of year… but not me! Although I did remember later on, while I was sitting on the . Why the Hell did I tell you that?

I sorted out some food. I have to admit, it’s not an exciting-looking vegetarian meal. Also, as you can see, I burnt the Mediterranean vegetables, and the sausages looked undercooked rather sadly at first. But I pressed on with eating. I couldn’t believe how good it tasted! The sausages were pretty tasty, and the flavour of the vegetables was supremely tasty! However, the look of it, bruised banana, and dry bread let it down a smidgeon.

I thought it was an epaulette!

I got the pots washed and settled to watch some TV. I drifted off the second the adverts came on and woke up feeling terrible. I was sneezing, coughing, and in a mini-mind fog. Yet now, in the morning, the memory of it is clear. Carer Christopher arrived to take off my diabetic socks and give me medications… and, of course, to have his supper. Hehehe!

It took me over three hours to get back to sleep. I know this for sure because as I was tossing and turning. (I wasn’t, but it gives the sentence a richness, don’t you think?) I caught the remote control, and the TV came on. It Frit me! The new TV with its large screen suddenly flashed at me… I thought I might have snuffed it, and this was Hell welcoming me!
I saw time on the screen and turned it off.
