I think there must be someone high up there,
Who decided who would or would not have hair,
A sort of overlord, Tsar or Universal Emporer,
Who decided what would be unfair or fair…
Created humankind, including Pol Pot &
Hitler,
Mugabe, Stalin, Putin, so many experts in tyranny,
Giving his creations free will was undoubtedly silly.
National leaders full of thimbleriggery,
Thus, we have wars, dictators and seigniory,
Nations ruled discretely by the oligarchy,
Dominated in the name of greed, sinfully,
I see the end of Earthlings… undoubtedly,
Did he/she mean to create humankind’s ubiquity?
Was he/she mistaken in giving us free will? Maybe!
Why bother at all? Was it experimentally?
A challenge from the boss of the next galaxy?
Was Earth ever meant to be cruelly umpty?
Should it have been mankind-free?
If accurate, Adam & Eve are the ones guilty!
I was going to muse over Starmer, you see…
But I’ve got to go for another urinoscopy,
Not that I’ll ever again manually pee!

So far behind. Going to be a cut-short version.

Morning views.

Ablutions carried out. 3 tiny cuts shaving. Little Inchie fungal lesion bleeding. Shaking Shoulder Shirley throughout the session. Porcelain Throne painful, bloody and yet messy as well? Beats me!

08:45: The caregiver arrived. He had been delayed somewhere and was in a rush to catch up. I forgot to ask him to put on the diabetic socks for me. I’m blooming cold! Hehe!

Computer on. Update from Windows, update from WordPress and update from CorelDraw.

The browser froze again.

I still hadn’t got the browser available. Carer Joanne did the midday call. (I gave her a gentle hug and a kiss) Joanne put on the new socks for me—bless her. THe hospital kept her in on her visit. The test showed various levels tested for to be too high or low. (Catheter-needing problems, so painful). Gladly, she is out again, obviously. Super news! XXX

I’m assuming here cause the timings etc., could well be all too cocked up, as I spent so long getting the computer to restart and work, I did not make any notes on the reminder pad.

Took these close-ups of the local residences.

The Browser played up again, and an update took a long time. So, I took some more Kodak photos.

The DVT Nurse Hristina rang. I think she said that she would be calling on Monday around 08:00hrs. The reason for my uncertainty is that a mammoth seizure, the longest I’ve ever had, came over me after I put the phone down.
When things clicked back in with me, I’d been working on the computer and making a hash of it. It took me hours to make things right. Then when I went on CorelDraw, I found I’d done the same there. I’d also saved some photos, not many, but they were saved all over the place, and again, a lot of time was lost searching for them to use, as the computer had stopped allowing me to save again. That needed me to use the Ccleaner; by the time I got the long-winded procedure over with, I’d forgotten where I was before!
Depressions Dawned!

These seizures are a fantastic thing to understand. They can come on for seconds without me even realising, or like this one did, for hours. I merrily press on, no idea what I’m doing or have done. A sort of… erm, I’m not sure how to describe it.
If the telephone rings, the door chimes, or anyone comes in the room, I’m instantly back in the running, aware, almost alert. But this is often reversed when I find the things I’d been doing that I’d forgotten about. One such instance today was when Chris left after the evening call. I found a paper dish with crumbs in it, and it was warm on the side of the sink. I must have heated it up in the microwave and eaten it; no food was in the bin. This morning, I realised the cornish pastie was not in the fridge… it must have been in my tummy? Hahaha!

This may be why I often go to the fridge to get something and find it is not there? Worralife!
I assume it could be linked to or spurred on by FND. Neuropathic Myoclonus: (sudden, brief involuntary twitching or jerking of a muscle or group of muscles. The twitching cannot be stopped or controlled by the person experiencing it.

All these are linked to Peripheral Neuropathy, which itself is caused by one’s Neurotransmitter’s dying. This causes problems for the brain to read the messages being sent to it, and often, the brain gets confused and responds with the wrong responses.

It’s challenging to master cooking in a microwave.

After a wonderful night’s sleep of about an hour, the Fire Alarm went off. Oh, I am a fool. I’ve already written about the alarm in yesterday’s blog. At the time of starting this writing (15:20 hrs), I’ve already dealt with some of the expected visitors. And must now find the stamina and desire to continue until the last callers arrives. Only the cardiac murmur nurses left to  arrive. Then maybe, I think, the TV Bailiffs may come. ‘At any hour of any day’, as they put it in their letter. Mind you, I also forgot about Window Cleaner Joe coming today. Talk about being confused… well, you weren’t, but I was. Haha!
I had so many people calling and ringing up throughout the day. I think Concentration Conrad enjoyed it.
I’ll have to do another quick job. I don’t know when the Nurses will arrive, so I’ll get on with the photos. I fang You!

The urine was not so dark, but then again, I got woken up by the alarm, and I ferreted around each room to find the cause. So it was like a morning exercise for me. No luck—HAHAHA! No luck, as if I needed to tell you that!
Got the ablutions tended to. No chance of getting back to sleep… sleep? Sleep? Oh, yes, I remember it now.

Oh! Nothing has moved all day yet.

Then Window Cleaner Joe arrived. I opened the door, and the moment I saw him, I remembered that he was due today. Tsk!

Carer Christopher arrived. It got me medicated, and the diabetic sock is on for me. I told him of my struggle last night to get the lid off the beetroot jar. Carer Israel called, and he took of the cap without any bother. I can remember the times when everyone would bring such problems to me to solve. Things change.

I started working on yesterday’s blog update, which I was still working on hours later when Carer Kimberley visited. I asked her if she could call the nurses to order more day and night catheter bags, impressing the short-leg version, and ask for some of the muslin pouches if available. I gave her the wrong number; Kara used to sort everything out. Kimberley, but no one has told her, and I couldn’t advise her. They told her to ring a number. But she didn’t have time. I thought she was doing the Health & Bank (Not that she can, until Kara swaps the names with the bank). Kimberley said she’d ring them later. Thank you, gal.

I’m back on the blog, but with all the Catheter and Bank problems, along with worrying about the nurses and the TV License team calling, concentration was minimal.

The Deep Vein Thrombosis nurse came next; she was in and out quickly, taking my best pen with her! Took blood and my pen! Hehehe!

Then, the Iceland order arrived.
Four items were substituted.
One of them was the mini-plum top mates. They’d substituted a pack of four heavy, underripe tomatoes bigger than golfballs. They were that heavy, which indicates little juice but plenty of flesh… I took care not to drop any when putting them away. They would probably break a toe if they landed on my foot. Good job. I’ll get a drill and hacksaw. (Sarcasm)
I did get ready and microwaveable beef meals in rich stout gravy. I’m having one tonight if I ever get the unstarted blog done
. Head spinning, I sorted the other stuff out.
After jiggling the products to make room for them, I got the bread into the freezer.

The Cardiac Nurses arrived. I greeted them with a smile and Good evening. They got me on the bed, stripped my top half, and set up the worryingly technical-looking scanner system. It only took about 40 minutes, and it was all done. I had to keep silent and not move during the process. Me! Not talk or move for all that time! shook a bit, and they had to start again. I may have sulked a little when they told me off for moving. Haha!

The print-out must have been 6ft long on the machine. The nurse with the lovely stubby legs said they do not do analysis; that’s done at the hospital. I will get the results tomorrow. They were kind enough to take a nibble and drinkie. I love to thank them that bit special.

1710:hrs: I’m on with the blogging up to here. But I need food and, even more importantly now, sleep.

Carer Chris kindly didn’t disturb me too much during his last call. He took the socks off, and no medications were needed. I think we had a little natter.

Forced myself to get up and get the belated nosh sorted out.

pillock

I did better with the earlier sunset photo, though.

Finally, I got onto the bed for a glorious uninterrupted
7 hours of blissful sleep!
Waking up was the problem. Hehe!

Very few verbals were written today.
Sorry about that. But not all bad news. The teeth were less bother than yesterday… well, up tp 17:00hrs at least. Then it started and stayed overnight with me. That was friendly of Wasn’t it.
What was the trouble today? Luckily, I’d got the top half, the graphics, done before the mind-blanks launched their repeated attacks. I’m not sure of anything that went on today now. I don’t think anyone called the dentist for me, but they may have. The photos triggered the odd memory.

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Dark.

Not sure why I took these.

I Have no memories of taking these, but it looked like it was in three different times?

Vaguely recall getting these delivered.
The fridge was in a mess later.
No idea what I was up to.

Ah, these I remember taking.
From the kitchen window.
The first one was high up in the sky.
I caught the edge of the window in the second one.
That was taken to the left and lower.
Beautiful!

Front car park from the kitchen.

Fantastic shot taken here. It almost looked like a weather photo with islands in the sea below.

The blanks began to come less often.
And I made a meal I could manage with the teggies.
The sausages were too hard for the teggies to cope with.

Inchy’s Thoughts Unthought

Things I’ve missed, not caught…
Used to be almost nought,
Now I’m a get-it-wrong expert!
No longer able to romance or cavort,
Rest my loins in any port…
Manual pees for three years? Nought!
Seeing hearing takes some effort,
Can’t walk far, need transport…
Of the motorised or electric sort,
I refuse to get all distraught…
I’ll have another glass of port!

04:15hrs: The start of what was going to be a busy day.
I got the nocturnal pouch off of the catheter, and my mind wandered to last afternoon’s computer cock-up with the unknown message that informed me that WordPress could not access Jetpack, whatever that is, and would not let me save my work. Heres the wakkle that filled across the screen each time I tried to save the blog…
I was washing last night’s things in the sink and had to stop. I needed to know if WordPress would work again, so I got the computer on, added a bit, and then tried to save it. Goodness Gracious Me—it did! I got all excited and got on with doing the work I’d done yesterday, again, as it was lost into the ether when Jetpac interrupted me so rudely. A long slog, but Putin may take the bother away shortly.
Many hours later, got up to where I was before (yesterday) and realised I’d not taken a single photo yet, so I thought I should, so I went off to the kitchen. Would you believe this… I’d left my hot water tap (faucet) to run cold! My joy and excitement at finding the miracle of WordPress working faded to pointlessness. Boy, I was so angry with myself. This was made worse by the fact that I had no had a wash or shave, never mind a shower, in my haste to check the computer. Not a good start to the day anymore!

I did take one photo, mind you. I’d hoped to get the two houses being reroofed and extended together—the left and right dwellings. I may not be checking very often, but I can’t recall seeing any worker at either house all week.
Carer Shaquille arrived. After I got my medications done and my socks fitted, I got back to Google and blogging. Another two hours or so later, the Iceland order arrived. The first photo was taken as I was putting the food away on the right. Fancy drinks and a Pina Colada for the treats. Kitchen towels, salt, and how kind of Iceland. They sent part flattened, part squashed wholemeal sliced cobs. The bag they were at the bottom of had bleach and a large bottle of tomato ketchup on top of the cobs. Humph!
The second photo shows grated strong cheeses, a Cornish pastie, and a few beef slices on the offer price, which looked very nice on the packet, but they had also been pre-mangled. Next snap; the Warburtons sliced Milk Rolls had been manhandled and misshaped in advance, too! The 8 large pork sausages, I was most surprised when I made the order; over £1-50 off of the normal price; great, I thought. Putting them in the fridge, I realised their use date was today! Iceland certainly conned and mistreated me today. I felt more than a smidge irked by being treated like this.
I struggled to get the chips and bread into the freezer. A lot of taking out of and reshuffling was needed, but I eventually got them all in.
A lot of bits and mess from the freezer drawers fell out on the floor while making room.
I took the made-up waste bag to the front door and back to check the kitchen. The floor needed to be hoovered and mopped again. Iceland… Grrr!
Had a massive-long ‘Out-Of-It’ Carer arrived, then Carer Kara, that much I know. But recalling what happened is impossible.
Hazey, confused, and uncertain about anything.
When the ladies left, I was still working on the blog, but it felt as if I’d been sleeping, nodding off all the time. I did once mention this to a nurse, who patiently listened to me as kept looking at her wristwatch. I think I gave up.
It was Carer Israel’s turn to call. I gave him some drink and nibbles of his choice. I’m sure I was nattering to him all the while once he’d finished the medications, but what of?

I pressed on with the blog, but all the breaks along with the Mind Blanks, meant when I got back on WordPress, there were so many errors, it pee’d me off!
I stopped to take these two views of the amazing sky.
I got the sausages out ready for when the oven heats up. I opened the packet of chopped tomatoes, put them in the saucepan, and salted them, adding a bit of basil to tang them up.
Saved all the work and closed down the computer

I took a snap off the meal. No SD card.

Cutbacks, sorry.
Still too dark, Hey-Ho!

I didn’t do a good job with my shot of the morning view. It looked right till I uploaded it. Tsk!

He started off last night.

I lost hours when this screen came up on the computer. I may have pressed something unintentionally, a combination? I’m always catching the Conrol, Windows or Alt button without sensing it. Not the foggiest what it was all about. I turned it off and rebooted; I could not type anything without all the text being highlighted? Anyone help me?
Still, it came back on, but CorelDraw would not let me select anything. I had a sob, spat a bit, swore and turned it off again for ten minutes.
Things seem to be working again???

The highlight of the day? I’ve just remembered I’m not to post photos of any Carers on here! So, I have removed it. So funny as well!

I got domestic help from Carer Kimberly. She cleaned the kitchen floor, then the wet room and floor, and, for her final task, hoovered the front room. Lovely!
As she was putting the speedmop away, I suggested I take a photo of her doing it, like they do in the TV adverts. She was all for it and joked about her going for a model job, acting for Flash.
I took two shots, and caught her action in whipping off the strip, just as on the TV. I loved having a laugh about it. I felt a part of things.

The Iceland order came. The only thing different or worth mentioning is they had no substitutes, and the bananas, a hand of five, only had one of them squashed and bruised. Very good! For them!

I spent hours and hours doing the blog again.
The ups & downs of life…
Like no longer having a wife,
Depressed and suffering strife,
I cut myself on the steak knife…
The computer is giving me grief,
My tender area was bleeding underneath,
Also bleeding were my gums and teeth,
Panicking, in need of relief…
My bad luck beggars belief!
My nose is running like a sieve!
Life seems emotionally expensive,
Sorry, I’m just being expressive!
Sorry, it was a smidge intensive!

Amazing sky again, well, the clouds.

How did you do?

Noshtime!
The photo I took of the stew had gone AWOL again from the SD card.

05:40hrs: I rose in a cheery, gay, happy mood. Possibly a   Ahem!
I could hardly believe the dark colour of the Catheter night pouch contents—I was in shock, really. I took another shot of it when emptying the night bag.
Of course, at the time, I didn’t realise that much bigger shocks were awaiting me later on, today! Yes.

I took this picture of the early morning view from the kitchenette window.
At least it wasn’t foggy… yet! Only my brain was foggy.
I was off to the wet room for a wash and visit to the. There was another change in styles: from two days of  being in control, now was ruling things. Mega-smelly, almost watery, it squirted out more than flowed! It took me ages to get the place, and my body cleaned up! Tsk.
Since arriving in the wet room, I’d had three or four of the .
Seeing the state of the ankles, was no surprise.
may need putting back on again, if things get any worse and the lesions burst open. Won’t please the Carers.

The Asda driver rang me on the mobile phone with a connection as normal, but it was so bad that he might as well have been talking to me in Outer Mongolian, for all I understood. I assumed he could not gain access and told him I’d come down to him straight away. Big Mistake!
I got and left the flat to find that both of the lifts were out-of-action!
.
I looked down between the fire escape stairs… It looked and was daunting. 24 flights of stairs to get down. I automatically set off, with great difficulty and pains from , and . I really must have been mad, to think I could get down all that way and then back up again. However, thought I could. I couldn’t, of course.

I managed to get down to the sixth floor and started going back up again. This was when I heard the noises below me. The heroic, saving-the-day driver was on his way up; I could hear him going up a flight of stairs with two of the three boxes, back down and getting the third, then repeating the exercise for each of the 24 flights of stairs. I continued climbing back up, and the driver caught me up; I was struggling so much to get back to my floor. The ankles had swollen and also  was bleeding. The driver was pouring sweat, but he stayed calm and patient with me. As we got to the flat, arrived.
Between them they got the food into bags and took them into the kitchen for me. It was a big order as well.
I sent a thank-you note to Asda later in the day for the driver’s kind, beyond-the-call-of-duty actions. He deserves recognition.
Did the medicationalisationings. I took this shot of the well-tired Asda driver leaving.
Then, an Iceland order arrived! Which I was certain I’d ordered for next Tuesday? I may need more help here!
kindly put the bags in the hallway for me, ready for me to tackle later. Thanks,  Shaquille!

Then, I set about sorting out the Asda Delivery. This is going to be a long job. There is much stuff to sort out and store away. I made a start…
The spring waters and cordials were put on the floor next to the Water Alarm Sounder thingamabob on the floor. Something else to trip over.

Shloer drinkies for treats and thankyous for the Caregivers and nurses who tend to me. Soda water and spring water for the daily Catheter filling routines. A bottle of Mushroom sauce and Tomato Ketchup with pickle. Lastly, sterilised milk.
Some reet-treats for myself in this photographicalisation on the left. Vici Surimi sticks Sweet & delicate). Jamaican Lamb patties. (Tasty!) Asda Crisp & Golden Potato Rostis (Not bad at all when done until burnt a bit). But nice!

Some favourites in this one! Brown sliced baguettes! Ready meals, Cumberland Pie, Minced beef hotpot. Texas beef chunks, an all-day breakfast, and a newly discovered gem. mini caramelised sausages!

Then I moved on to the Iceland delivery storage. Far less to work with.
Curry & Barbeque baked beans, mushrooms, sugarless biscuits, batteries AA & AAA. Treats drinkie, and some ready-made coffees for the Carers who like them.

Made up and took the waste bags to the rubbish shoot in the 12th-floor main lobby.
Noticing the lifts had been repaired as I passed by them en route.
I managed to trap my hand, well finger,  in the cast iron closure drawer without any effort or input. No cursing, swearing, or spitting, just an Argh!

Back in the detention cell. I mean the  apartment, I avoided a calamity and  with seconds to spare, got it emptied just in time!
The colour was a lot healthier looking now than first thing. I got on with the blog finalisationings at long last. Worra, day! It’s well into PM now!

The mist had been around all day once it had fallen. Too busy to notice what time it fell. More like November weather, really.

Slurp, gobble!

Took ages to force out this time.
Spent some time on the crossword puzzle.

Overnight, despite the horrendous day I’d had,  left me alone. But… the woke me up each time when it struck. Higher up on the leg now. Wakes you up with a jerk, I can tell yers. I feel a little pain each time, but it soon eases off, within seconds. By then, they had done their job, mission, aim… to stop me sleeping!
Either because of the mysteries of Woodthorpe Court, with the hobgoblins, spectres, gnomai, phantasms, ghosts, the grotesque succubae, extraterrestrials, ectoplasms, spirits, or the Fata Morganas, that have been sent to taunt, irritate and terminate my already limited saneness of mind. Or, my brain that is not communicating with that is dying off, or maybe it’s the cunning ? I’ve always had a sort of affinity with him, you know. I don’t think he likes not being liked by the souls he collects? It could be part of his plan to make living (for me) hell, then when he comes, I’ll welcome him. Just a thought. I’ve no quarrel with him at all. It’s smarty-pants Saint Peter I’d like a word with.

Sayounara.

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

05:45hrs: I tackled the removal of the stubborn attachment on the nocturnal and day bag and got it done by 06:00hrs. Hehehe!

It was damned cold this morning! Mind you, I’d not got the ankle & leg straps on yet.
Took the first shot from the kitchenette window, and I knocked a bottle of Lloyds Tomato & Basil sauce off of the window ledge. It landed on my right foot. I may have cursed a bit? On the plus side, it didn’t break, missed my , and it was the only item that I dislodged. I disrobed and went off to the wet room. It was too early to use the noisy shower to get a stand-up wash and shave. I got the dressing gown in the laundry bag; it was well full now. I collected a pair of protection pants to change into later, and as I did so, I decided it best to check on the computer first to make sure that the Iceland order was not going to arrive while I was doing my ablutions. A rare moment of temporary mental clarity and memory activity there! Smug-Mode engaged temporarily!
The session went well… Yes, that’s what I said! Only two weeny cuts shaving, mind you; there’s always something, and the gums gave me the only bother I had. Even getting the PPs on went almost easily. Great!

Confusion Reigns…
I knew I’d got an hour and a bit before the earliest possible time for the Iceland delivery. So I was about to try to get the sink cleaned; I’ll get it done one day... And . Well, Iceland was well early? Within minutes of pressing the unlock button, a rattling came on the door from the food deliveryman. It did not register with me when he said do you want it in the kitchen, I said please, and adjusted my now rather loose dressing gown, and adjusted the day pouch that was slipping… and he’d put the stuff all over the kitchen, loose… this was when I realised it was not the Iceland man at all! He was from J Sainsbury, with whom I had a mess on last week’s order on Friday, delivering the order I’d made for next Tuesday, not today! He shot off, and I went into a semi-panic mode. I’ve got all this stuff to get in the fridge and freezer, but I knew it would fit in… and the Iceland order was also due shortly!
It was hard work, but some fodder had to get ditched from the fridge to make room for the new stuff. I ended up taking a carrier bag full of short-dated stuff to the waste chute and ditching it. Then started rearranging things to use less room on the shelves and freezer, suddenly realising I had all the JS stuff to sort yet…
These were sorted…
Then these…
I hope I can get the soda bread in.
Great news here, though. The terrible foul-looking meat in a jar that tasted heavenly was delivered, Yummy!
More sorting…
I got some of the Anya potatoes into the slow cooker for later with the mushroom risotto.
Took this shot of the blue-looking view. It wasn’t this blue; I can’t understand why it came out like this. If I remember, I’ll ask Tim from New Mexico later on.

Carer Marie, with a new carer with her, Sanamal and showing her the ropes. Marie is an angel; she said she would get me a pair of slippers from Primark when she goes to town again. ♥ Bless her!

Then, the Iceland delivery arrived.
I had to empty the day bag as the chap took the bags to the kitchen for me.
Thankfully, not a lot of frozen stuff.
Some sauce was substituted, but I gave that and the bread I could not get in the freezer to Carer Kara later; she can hand them out to whoever she thinks.
I had a heck of a job getting the fresh stuff into the fridge. I’d bought treats for the carers.
Just look at the choc-o-block fridge now!
Still, I’ll not starve. Haha!

I took this shot and got on with the blogging. For hours, and hours… it’s been seven up to now.

Teatimish, I took a couple of more…
Through the glass of the balcony.
The one above showed rejectionist patterns in the rain. Har-Har! How did it get a copy of the cars not in the shot, in amongst the trees and bushes? They look like ghostly cars.

Carer Christopher came, taking the wee-wee out of my peed-on several times and washing designer slippers. Haha! He dished out the medications, and as we chatted, I told him about my not being able to get at the hairs growing on my neck to shave them. We went into the wet room, and he dry-shaved my neck for me… I’m sure the bleeding will stop eventually. (Only joking!)

Back to the blogging.
The blue sky returns.

Carer Christopher arrived on his last visit. I was just getting my dinner out of the oven and plated. He took it to the front room for me, and I forgot to photograph it. Mushroom Risotto with some Anya potatoes.
Nothing like as delicious as the mushroom Risotto Sister Jane did for me in 1989. That was so good, I can still remember the taste of it! But it was a processed meal, so I couldn’t expect too much.

Zzz! But not for long…
soon kicked off. He was vehement tonight, waking me up many times, & starting again within minutes each time I nodded again.

Not so Good This Week

Another day of ineptitude. My time-consuming, managed brain, meant terribly vexing periods of mistake-making, finding, and still not correcting properly – thus, I spent far too much of the day in grammatical investigations. Intermingled with getting so involved in my blogging, I kept forgetting the 4-hour leg-up, and then 4-hour stood-up as a routine treatment, as the nurse explained being essential if we have any hope of the now ulcerated, wound to be effective and will ever heal. Not that this was the worst of things today… Oh, no! It’s being so cheerful that keeps me going, you know! Oh, no… The , or to be more precise, the tube that is slowly dismantling poor, painful and the flesh around it, is far more bothersome. Not to mention now being supported in her “Let’s Make Inchy Hurt & Fall-Over” mission. Now backed up by a new ailment, a sister, . They are easily outdoing the old regular, in the pain stakes. At least this morning, they are. I’d give 6/10, the new girl an 8/10, and the old man, a mere 3/10… things can change!
———————————————————-

A bit clearer this morning in the nocturnal pouch

Why? What? I know not!

Day pouch filled up with darker urine?

The compression bandaging was looking good.
I like having two-tone coloured toes! Hehe!

Into the kitchen to check the taps.
The floor was disgusting from being mopped and the things that I had spilt love the last few days. I must try to give it a mop job, but first…

You’d not believe how long and the mess it took me to get the pad on the mop. The ‘Speed-Mop’ – Huh!
It didn’t move a lot of the dirt and stains…
Just about worth the effort & pain it cost me.
Of course, I spotted patches that I’d missed altogether, the next time I went to the kitchen. Spit!

Finally got a brew of tea made. I made it carefully, cause this is the last of the three china mugs I bought. Last week, I mourned the passing (and shattering) of the second mug this year. I do think that tea tastes better, imbibed from these mugs. Well, mug, now!.

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
The delivery arrived as my beloved Nurse Christina was taking the blood sample for the INR level testing.
KristAShe kindly took the bags through to the kitchen for me.
What an Angel of Mercy &Beauty she is ♥
I thanked her, and was suddenly slightly stupefied as she departed; When I realised (or thought) that the order was ordered for 8 days later? I shan’t go any further into that, as this sickenly often-repeated Whoopsie with the food, was getting me into a self-loathing mode.
Household items.
Treats, luxury fodder!
A mixture.
A crammed-to-the-hilt fridge & freezer.

The rain had been coming for ten minutes or so when I went, as I often do, due to the memory-distorting qualities of , to check that I’d not left anything on the cooker or taps (faucets) running. I saw that the mudslide had started at the end car park, took the above photo from the balcony.
The rain was pouring down heavily as I took this photo from the kitchen window to the North.
Then one straight ahead… all taken through the window
A final one towards the City Centre.

I’ve tried to explain these blanks to the lady at what was then, a Dementia counselling meet. But it was taken casually and she moved on to other areas, as if she did not believe me, or didn’t want to discuss the subject.
There are flakes of partial memories in there, (my head), but dirty great blanks at the same time. I don’t seem to have done any computer work during the approximate five hours of the mental vacuum.
.
I realised later, that a Carer had called; the log had been filled in. But who and what took place is mega-blank. I’ve not got the foggiest! Yet I do remember cooking and slicing the potatoes, and pasty, that was about to take out of the oven, to serve up for myself.
Another carer called as I was eating the meal. But memory is patchy of even that. By the time I was washing the pots up, things seemed to clear?

Sleep was a no-no on my first try. So, I wandered into the kitchen, with my, and
Took this shot of the evening in Night-Scene mode using . It came out much brighter than it looked. Which helped give an impression of the houses, few with any lights on. Mind you it was late.

During the day, Domestic Denise called with some bad sad news. She is leaving the job and going back to her old one.
All I can say is;

I think that Riahanna was one of the callers. Of course the fact me forgetting or getting it wrong, are picayune… but not impossible, of course. Hehe!
Victor was one I reckon. Think, maybe, perhaps…

I’m finishing this blog off now – and it’s taken me until 11:00hrs on Thursday to do so.

FARE THE WELL!

Scarily deep colours in the night pouch?

Woke a little light-headed and pondered the time (04:05hrs)… ! Then I felt the wet, warm blood trickling down through the Protection Pants; they had never let me down before. Assuming that the tube on the catheter bag must be leaking, I rose from the c1966, £300 Oxfam charity shop bought, second-hand, wincingly grotty, beige coloured, crumb-covered from my nocturnal nibblings, itch-making, uncomfortable, positively unhealthy & dangerous, no longer operational, virus-breeding, easy-to-fall-out-of, Catheter-tube-trapping, recliner, and placed my hand on the wet area… only to find out it was blood!
I went to the wet room and adopted my Sherlock Holmesian mode to discover the problem was down there… I soon found the blood flowing close to the tube’s entry point.
The PPs were removed, and new Depends were readied to use. I then tried to stop the flow of blood. The Fungal lesion on the little chap appeared to have increased to four now! Argh! No doubt due to the presence of the deadly catheter that has been inserted for over a year now! I did take a photograph of the Sudoarea… well, the blood on the pants, but decided not to show it, as it looked pretty gruesome. But at least I can show it to the nurses who are due today. But not on the web. Cleaned myself up and daubed masses of the Sudocrem cream on the lower regions of little . A mite too much, mayhap… I almost slid right off it when I had to get seated on the Throne. Hahaha! That was another Trotsky Terence-controlled evacuation – what a smelly mess!
Off to the kitchen to make a brew of tea. I was having more trouble this morning from my leg.
I took a fetching photo of the car park below the kitchen window. Eerie or not? What do you think?

Added another bag of sorted rubbish to the one not taken last night.

Oh, heck, back to the yet again. It’s been a hectic day up to now. I anticipate it will get worse… my EQ has just given me the nod to expect ructions, unexpected porc tttdisappointment, or of that nature? He’s never been wrong in his tips, yet. I’m afraid. The evacuation was another Trotsky in-charge affair, but the content came out differently this time. It’s a sort of sludgy with flaky bits around the edges; I’ve had this type once before, a few months ago. I think!
I went off to the kitchenette again, only to find I’d left the damned kitchen hot water tap (faucet) running yet again! I keep blaming all these faux pas on , as I used to do with the now apparently absconded … there is something within that is crushing, obliterating my plans, thoughts and abilities to pieces lately. In particular, she loves toying with my short-term memory. I’ve thought about it a lot recently. It erks me!

Later today, I realised that the most cock-ups come when I’m trying to concentrate on something, and a simple thing like a phone call coming in a Carer or Nurse coming in will leave me open to forgetfulness. Even with talking, if someone changes the topic, alters a question… I’m lost! Not only to the new subject but what I was doing before the chinwag started. I’m amazed that I can still do the odes? But everything is error-ridden and takes far too long to get written as I originally meant it to…
I often lose the plot in mid-typing!

The blood papules on the left leg had increased a bit. I’ll mention it to the nurse when she arrives later on. He says with an air of fallacious, blind confidence.
An odd hue in the flat this morning. Some of my photos seem tinted with a bizarre shade, looking almost as if they are old? But not to fret. Too much!
I took another shot straight away. And that came out a different shade altogether?
All a part of the mysteries of Woodthorpe Court, with the ghosts, wraiths, spectres, cacodaemons, apparitions, and other grotesqueries that haunt the hallways and lobbies, searching for Inchy to curse with lousy luck, create ambiguities, abstrucities, perplexities, misfortunes and botherations, to scare. Worry and confuse me! Hehe!

Aha, the Iceland order has arrived. So, I left the computer so I could forget where I was up to and what my next move would be. I admitted the driver via the intercom box and opened the door for his arrival. The kind young man carried the box and bags to the kitchenette for me. I had to almost insist he took a can of his choice from the visitor’s drinkies and nibbles shelves.
I thanked him much for his help and set about checking the items sent and dates that I could read, anyway. Here on the left is the first bag emptied out.
Then, the tasty bagful was sorted. The new cookies from McVities were tried later, and I had high hopes of them being tasty… They were not!
The LU bikkies and soft bakes are delicious! The lemon puffs are for Jenny’s other half, Frank. Nice chap, and lovely Lady, they are. He does love them Lemon bikkies so. I hope the nurses finish the leg so I can deliver them later to the lad. But my hopes are low after EQ’s earlier warning.
The last carrier had cleaning things in it. Putting these away in the drawer, I proceeded to give myself a tear-prompting against the server-trolley wheel. Naturally, me being a brave, almost heroic, man of courage, grit and gamely pain-tolerant, there was no groaning, moaning or Arghs!
The intercom lit up, and I went to investigate. It was two of the District Nurses, who were soon up and in the flat, checking the legs first. They took photographs of the new blood leaks to show the Doctor when they returned to base at the Community Centre. Then, one of the Angels got her computer out and started asking many questions about my medical history, who and where each one was diagnosed when the various ailments first, what treatment I had, and when started. Well, that did not go too well! Instead, I feared she’d ask me for my date of birth because, cause for the love of me, I couldn’t recall it…  It came back to me later; she didn’t ask for it.
One nurse was training the other. And the young nurse (they were both socially minded and laughed at my ailments, all having been given names)
They explained what they were about to do. Take off the old bandage & patch. It was a shock to me when it hurt so much, especially in my right leg, which seems semi-immune to pain at times when the are off-line to the brain. Unfortunately, they were getting through at the time the patch was taken off. Hahaha!
The nurse said, “This is my first time putting a diabetic wrap on a leg!”
They then had a look at the catheter scabs. Naturally, I forgot all about mentioning . !
As they departed, I insisted they take their choice of drinkies and or nibbles, and I thanked them. One said they would be back on Friday to check out the state of
. But this has been said so often, and no one turns up, that a pinch of salt was tasted. Har-har!
They did warn me that it would be more painful than the last dressing, as the diabetic wrap is tighter, to keep the fluid higher up in the leg to give poor a chance for the wound to heal. Also, if my toes go blue, I’ve to call them ASAP and for me to take off the dressing straight away. Bless em!

My precious nurse Hristina phoned to let me know she would call in the morning, between 9> and 10:00hrs, to take blood for the anticoagulation DVT department ♥

Unbe-rotten-believable!
Not the right, known as , is the one that can give me problems, but the left one (she’ll need naming now); Gave way, and down I went in the kitchen onto my left knee – which, as you know, is the one currently having attached to it! The pain from the fall was of little bother; I was more concerned that the bag may have burst. I checked and thought; well, that was a bit of luck! I thought it an opportune time to make the second brew of Glengettie tea of the day in celebration…
Cleaning up milk from the dropped milk carton took me ages and a lot of pain. However, I did so and finally got on with this blog. Talking of lasting, I didn’t get to kip until well-gone 02:00hrs; I just had to get some blogging done after the kerfuffle with the medical things and cleaning up the floor in the kitchen, then the bits of fluff and bandage on the carpet near the £300, second-hand, most uncomfortable, decrepit, Haemorrhoid Harold-testing, micro-organism-microbe-bugged, easily-fallout able-from, unfit-for-use, not working, recliner, that I sat in, for the treatment from the nurses.

I’m addicted, you know!

So I Did!
I was so hungry.
Sitting there in the £300, second-hand, musty, Haemorrhoid Harold Testing, cringingly beige, crumb-covered, not-working, rickety recliner, I slowly peeled back the outer skin, and my mouth was watering at the thought of munching into it…

As the top part of the flesh broke off and slid down my overly proportioned belly, via Little Inchy and over the , and as I tried to catch it and missed, I trod on it as I lost my balance, and I squelched over the carpet…

The darkness began to fall. And I had a spell at the kitchen window. With…
Just caught the end of the sun setting.
Zoomed in a little…
Moments later, she’s gone!
Nightie, night!

Then, I industriously set about preparing the simple evening meal. Just potatoes baked, emptied out, causing a few burns on the fingers. Then, even more, I scooped out the flesh and mashed it with No-Butter, butter, Leicester cheese and sea salt in the mixing bowl. Ran a fork over the top of each skin to create ridges so as to crisp up the finished product, and back into the oven,
arrived as I was putting the nosh back in the range to crisp up.
Medications were given. We managed a little nattering session and laugh.

After the lad had left, I checked on the cheesy spud’s progress, cooking-wise. They needed a little longer. So, I put the TV on to see if anything worthwhile was showing. Not half! Two episodes of ‘Cracker’ with Robbie Coltrane started at ten o’clock (22:00hrs). I knew, of course, it would be the same as last week, and I’d fall asleep when the adverts came on and most likely wake up wide awake as the credits were rolling at the end of the programmes.

I was right!

The last three nights’ differences were phenomenal, unique, and welcome.
I slept for over seven hours! Great!.

Inchy: Wed 20 Sept 2023-Being Got At Physically & Mentally

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
– – – – – – – – –– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
– – – – – – – – – I can’t! – – – – – – – – –

Not a good day. Little Inchie is now bleeding from the usual Fungal Lesion, and sores it accrued from the chaffing of the Catheter tube for so many months. He is not pleased with, having been pulled to the right for 14 months by the set-up; and now being pulled to the left! Uncomfortable is the word. Also, the contraption being put on the left legs is confusing me. Hehe!  No idea why laughed then. It’s Thursday morning at 1025hrs, and I’ve only just got around to doing this blog!
Knowing now, how much worse things have gotten, my concentration, interest and previous love of, and willingness for blogging, have sank. This will have to be quick once I start. My hearing is as bad as ever; my vision, even with the new spectacles on, (I found them!), is not all that good. The computer and internet are giving constant worries…

Back-Pain-Brenda is giving me jip even if I think of bending,
Little Inchie joined Brenda, constantly hurting!
Frequent attacks from Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley,
Stubbed my ingrowing toenail… Wailing!
Another stinging from Little Inchie paining!..
But I’m not going to start complaining.
Cause this morning, Inchie’s agony is increasing!
Oh, the urine when pouch-releasing…
Looks like worms are in it, swimming,
There’s no guarantee, & I’m not pledging…
But I’m not going to start sulking,
At least the nurse didn’t mention amputating…
But I may consider running away or hibernating!.
Of course, I’m going wool-gathering,

My thoughts are jumbled & entangling…
Life is even less amusing, and invigorating.
Things physical & mental are inexplicably hurting!

I just hope my Doctors are reading!
Cause my inner thoughts need exhumating,
My sanity needs a rebirth facilitating,
And my wobbly-flabby body, recalibrating.

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Excellent colour… Shame about the bits in it. I assume they are bits of my Prostate that the Finasteride Tablets should have been destroying to make room for more content in the bladder. No one has told me whether to keep taking them or stop? Like with the Cataract operations, or rather after them? Same with the Blepharitis gel?

Do I need to keep on with the Finasteride, Dry Eye Spray or not? I’ve got another fortnight of the Maxitrol drops, I believe or not?

EyeDropsCarer Kara, bless her, phoned the Audio Centre for me, and booked an appointment with them for Monday 7th, October at Standard Hill Centre. I used to walk all the way there years ago, and then back to the flats in Sherwood. I can’t even get up Standard Hill nowadays!
This actually is the photo I took as I struggled up Standard Hill, over four years ago, to get to the clinic.
This time, Kara is going to book me a lift with Easy-Link. She’s so kind to me. If only I was 68 years younger… Hehehe!
As it looked then.

Where was I? Oh, yes, rushing; Another failed plan. Tsk! This is going to be a late-night job, cause I keep writing, talking, and thinking too much!

Earlyish morning photo of the view from the kitchenette window, not a good one. As usual lately. I recall what happened to me next… Whoopsiedangleploppery!  I had a Dizzy Dennis Spell as I was filling the kettle. It was nothing short of a miracle how I managed to stay on my feet. I did a mini pirouette and lunged at the corner of the draining board for stability.
Back to the computer. Fancy that! So I did a wander around doing safety checks in the flat, taking the stick with me, naturally. I made a start with the hallway. The door was secure, and the heater and airer were turned off.
Then into the kitchen…
Whoopsiedangleploppery!
I’d left the hot water tap running yet again! Grr!. I do hate myself at times. Not all the time, just mostly when I’m awake! So, no hot water for a shave & shower again! .But it didn’t bother me.
Inchy May Have Been Fibbing Here!
At long last, I got back on to the internet.
Putting on the photos and.
blow me, one more Liberty-Global Cock-up!

So, I went to make a rare brew of tea again. Excellent parking once again in the bottom car park I thought.
Not that

I can’t really blame them, after seeing the rain warning come up on the TV & now working again for a little computer. Parking away from the mud Slide area is wise.
I made a brew of Glengettie tea and took it to the computer to slurp while blogging. If ever I get any done.
I’d just about got the photos checked and into the file. And guess what happened?

Yes, it’s most irritating, innit?

Carer Shaquille arrived. We had a natter, well, at least I did a lot of moaning about the catheter propers and ensuing pains, Liberty-Global, and hating myself for the Accifauxpas and Whoopsiedangleplops that without any doubt, Cognitive  Impairment Iris has had a hand in. Back-Pain-Brenda was giving some stick again, with the odd Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley session; I wouldn’t be surprised in the least if my right arm falls out of its socket! Hehehe!

Another let-down from the Liberty-Global Virgin Media oligarchical, money-seeking, number-crunching, dubious, slithery-sidestepping, money-jugglers, financial-escamotage, illusionists, dubious, hocus-pocus driven, mumbo-jumbo, grubstaking speculators, plutocrats, securities-brokers, stinking-rich, multi-core, fact-distorting, tycoonocratic, nabob-led Liberty-Global. Who own or have invested in dozens of European internet-mobile companies in the last few years.

They paid $24 billion in cash and stock, to buy out Virgin Media. The acquisition was noted by The New York Times as one of the 10 largest cable deals of all time. It was reported that this acquisition would make Liberty Global the largest broadband company in the world. But, they cannot get a signal that’s worth anything to Sherwood, in Nottingham.
Their CEO, Mike Fries, estimated Net Worth of Fries is at least $192 Million dollars, as of 1st May 2023. Mr. Fries owns over 216,802 units of Liberty- Global
.
A Liberty Global Proxy Statement reveals that Fries earned a total of $63m (£50m/€59m) in the year to 31 December 2021 (FY21), boosted by $41.7m in option awards. He earned less in FY20 when he received a total compensation of only $48m.
And still can’t get a reliable connection or service to Sherwood in Nottingham!

And if you think this was being written out of pure frustration, jealousy, resentment, covetousness, enviousness, and or a colossal hatred… You’re Right!

Carer Denise, who shredded the extra-strong matures Leicester Cheese for me, got her strawberries in thanks later.

I felt a smidge guilty when I checked to see how many things I had achieved on Falls Team Sarah’s to-do list.

The Iceland Order Arrived.

The kind delivery driver carried the carrier bags through and dropped them on the kitchenette for me to sort through and get put away. Which I did, after getting Kodak Tim, to record my efforts and order.
The bananas were kindly put at the bottom of a bag, with jars, cans and some bottles of Soda Water on top of them. Two hard been burst open. Still, they sent some Paracetamols. My favourite soft Milk Roll bread – slightly misshaped as that was squashed for me as well. Some red potatoes, too. No fish-fish sticks, bread twists with cheese, not a lot. Low-calorie lemon bars to onto the thank you treats stand. Strawberry mousse, and some delightful biscuits.
Bananas less the leaking ones. Three Strawberry punnets; for Kara, Josie and Denise. No more food orders this week. But… no, no more!

I caught the rain in these the first of the evening shots, taken through the kitchen window.

The next two, to the right then left; I thought had strange huje to them.
But the beauty of Mother Nature still shone through to me.
To the wet room and WC.
Ah, that went better!
The teatime caller arrived, and we had a minute it two of socialisationing. I forgot MedPhorpainto ask him to put some Phorpaingel on my back… again!.
The rain had stopped for the sun setting. Lovely!

WHOOPISEDANGLEPLOP!

Positively a much better style of evacuation this time. But I did have a bother with Little Inchy; the inner and outer lesions were bleeding at the same time. I coated him with some of the Sudocrem. It’s no good for calming down the pain at all. But I can’t use Germolene on such a… well, delicate area, Haha!
Little Inchy is getting even more painful now that I’m getting tired.

The sun has disappeared now.
But leaving another beautiful

view as his last drops of light fade away.

I started the process of preparing the anticipated feast of the week.
The spuds were in the oven, and UI set about trying to get some blogging done. But no!

So I gave up, and the whole farcicalness was about to start again, but worse on Thursday!
I was up nearly all night catching up on this blog! Grumph!
Thanks to Denise, I could use the Leicester extra strong cheese. Got the baked potatoes, scraped out the flesh and mixed it as best I could in the basin, with sea salt, and no-butter butter. Garden peas, and no-meat sausages. A banana and a lemon dessert. Smashing!
Flavour Rating: 9.3/10. Lip Smackingly Good!
I found this photo of the missing Audio Clinic Record Book.
And spent hours having a good rummage around for it – but all to no avail.
I’m so tired, in pain, deaf, can’t see properly, and can’t even voluntarily pee! All part of my luck, getting old & senile….
Now, where did I leave the CBD?
