This day was, well… Mayhem! Again!
Had to really cut back on blogging. As the nurse said I’ve to keep my leg raised! I’ll tell yer in a bit…

First thing on waking. Well, after passing wind, and sensing that both ingrowing toenails, on the left foot, and on the right, were painful, I bent down to remove the night pouch from the clutches of , and gave me head a wobble… not the usual one; this was an instant version, without the usual warning signs. This told me today, he was going to enjoy himself at my expense. (He did later, too!)
I was so amazed when I saw that the nocturnal pouch was completely empty. Yet the day pouch valve was in the open position? What happened there, I don’t know! So, I picked up and shook the pouch and tubing, and within a few moments, the urine flowed gushingly from the day to the night bag?
All seemed to be working again. lingered a little. Had this just actually happened?

I rose from the £300 second-hand shop bought, c1966, ache-making, moth-eaten, bedraggled, cringingly-beige-coloured, grotty, dilapidated, crumb-containing from my nocturnal nibblings, bug-ridden, itch-inspiring, not working recliner, and limped into the kitchen. Limping due to a combination of ailments this time. which was stinging something horrible, and challenging me to scratch at it. But I resisted. . , , the toes as mentioned, and assisted me to knock my torso against the door frame going into the kitchen. So, joined in the assault!
To make me feel even worse, the three photos I took of the morning view were all crappy!

Oh, double-dear!
Oh, treble-dear!

Off to the wet room…To get the ablutions tended to… Starting with a sudden urgent need to utilise the Porcelain Throne.
Got my feet in a bowl of soapy water with baking powder added. To soak-clean the feet while having a shave
The almost expected teeny-weeny cut, not in the neck-hole this time, but behind the earhole. The only places left that grow hair on my head. A swift sprinkle of the Brut aftershave
put an end to the leaking haemoglobin.
Then, after emptying and washing the bowl, I got into the shower. Closed the curtain, moved the chair into position, lowered the shower head to a reachable position, then…
opened the shower curtain, moved the chair, exited and out into the hallway, to turn the shower power on in the hallway. Humph! Back in, closed the curtain, and moved the chair back into position. Then I the on the chair leg. Swore, cursed a little more, and; and then I noticed the blood blood that was trickling down my leg from poor old. The pad on the geyser papule was almost dropping off, and a smidgeon of blood was making its way down the right leg as well.
I’d already decided that things were not going well, and would probably get worse, without any input for EQ either..
Got the shower finished without any other painful incidents.
The pad on the right leg , had stayed in position all through the process.

That’s the end of any detailed stuff. Rushing now…

Rubbish done.

Found that I’d left the potatoes in the crock pot for 20hrs! Tsk!

Mug of tea, Glengettie of course.

I Heath Robinsoned a new papule covering.

Good colour in the pouch.

The homemade dressing is still on.
engaged!

Did I put the food delivered on or not?
Nice!
Fridge choker-bloc!
Freezer, too!

Late rain.
We need it, not as bad as some areas do, though.

Just as well they were out of some foods!

Strawberry treats for the helpers.
Bananas, and my favourite three varieties of biscuits.
Maryland Cookies (UK), Lemon Puffs (Poland) & LU Petit Beurre. (France)… if only I was allowed more mugs of tea, I could eat them faster and more of them! Hehe!

Super Nosh! 9.2/10!
I made short work of this one!

Well, well, well, another farcical rising from the aged, grotty-looking c1966-made, charity-shop-bought, horribly beige-coloured, £300, Harold’s Haemorrhoid-testing, non-operational, acne-giving, virus-breeding, rickety, easy-to-fall-out-of recliner, with its new air-cushion. Supplied by my treasured Sarah, of the Rehabilitation Falls Team.
My right ankle was pouring water out all over the cover, my legs, the chair the legs were upon, and some reached the carpet! , Tsk!
Luckily I had a dry pad nearby, left from putting on last night’s plaster. I used that to stem the flow. Before cleaning up, the night pouch had to be removed. So I did!
In the few seconds, it took me to release the bag… The new plaster fell off! Off to the wet room to sort the pouch out, and used some toilet paper on the papule, held on with some medical tape.
Back to clean up the room. I had a wash and started to clean up Little Inchie. Oh, dear! The blood had dried, and getting the PPs off was a painful job!
The word Arrgh! That seems the optimum comment to use!
More cleaning up, me this time. The legs, Oh, and the wet room floor, too. All medicated where possible and cleaned up, I returned to the wet room to have a shave.

It didn’t go too well! Then the teeth started bleeding while cleaning them. The Brut aftershave was utilised. And did a good,, if stinging job!
Putting the creams away, I knocked some items off of the floor cabinet…
Some fell behind the WC, so I got the plastic picker-upperer I keep in there to retrieve the tubes. I got entangled in the bleach and cleaner bottles, and I decided to yank the picker-upperer free in my temper… Not a good idea on reflection; I no longer have a plastic picker-upperer… well, I have actually, but it’s in about six pieces, three of them broken!
♬ Morning has broken, like the ♬ So is Inchy’s spirit, now!

Carer Richard arrived.
He got the medications done, eye drops and put the next to last pad on the geyser for me; bless him. He also told me that he had checked the tablets & we don’t need to order any this week.

The pad he put on to replace the Heath Robinson affair I’d got on, stayed on, and is still there now, 15hrs later! Well done to Richard the Lionheart!

I got on the computer to update yesterday’s blog. But…
Liberty-Global oligarchs had failed again with their pathetic internet service. Although no doubt experts in Smoke & mirrors: someone who draw attention away from often embarrassing or unpleasant figures or issues, and figure manipulators, they are not very good at supplying a service. But nae bother this time it came back on shortly, and up to now, has stayed online for 17hrs!
I spent four hours grafting away. Making cock-ups, mistakes and errors.
Carer Marie called. We were both a little down and seemed to cheer each other up a smidge, bless her. She suggested I try eBay to get Olive Oil and some slippers, so I thanked her.
Spent a while longer and got the Sunday blog sent off at last.

I investigated the eBay option for Samaritan Olive oil, and I found a pair of slippers that looked comfy.

I later got an email for each one of the items, on the right here.

Back on the blogging to make a start on this one.

I went for the third time to the Porcelain Throne and was tickled pink when the evacuated product flowed solidly for the first time in days. Not back to normal yet, but close. Then again, what is normal?
My releases seem to change to opposites each day sometimes.
Leaving the wet room, a burst forth. Not enough to have me over, but an excellently aimed wobble and my right shoulder clashed with the door frame. No need to tell you, but I will, kicked off. Well fancy that!

Carer Israel arrived, with a letter that had been delivered. There was a date-clash, between Audio Clinic and the delivery of the slippers and or Samaritan Olive Oil! Cobblers!
The plaster thingy, he said could stay on until the morning. So, it did! All I did was bend down while sitting in the chair, to have a feel if the padding felt wet; it didn’t to me, but started off, and stayed with me for the rest of the night. I suppose I ought to be glad that left me in relative peace. Hehehe! Blimey, the day bag, was all but at bursting point! I cleared it just in time to avoid a flood of urine all over me, the flat, and maybe the Carer!
When he left, I got the fodder prepared, and tasty it was too. I took a photo of the fine feast… but found (on Tuesday), that I had not put the SD card into Humph!
The view from the kitchenette window when washing the pots & dishes, I decided I needed photographicalisationing. I made sure the SD card was in first, this time. It was a one for me. Straight away I envisioned the higher cloud left, being a shark or swordfish, with its long bill upper and in front, open mouth below, and even an eye in this view?

Nightie-Night!

Too dark this morning. But why bother. Tsk!

As I was going to the , I thought of what I think was a witty retort to use on this blog… So I got out and took this photo…
Notice how it’s a little askew, did you?
That’s because, I was on my way down to the floor, following a  . Clouting my knees as I landed on the hard floor, and en route my right elbow against the door. I felt sorry for the neighbour below!
The toilet roll had only been used once, and there was only a quarter of it left by the time I’d cleaned up after the evacuation! Seeing in in the WC, reminded me of a dollop of Chilli Con Carne but yellow in colour. Eurgh!

Back to the Carer’s table and took the BP.
It’s been more consistent lately.

Off to the kitchen, I plodded…
And took this early morning view.
Then got the kettle on.
Made a tasty brew of Glengettie tea.
Tea GlengettieAnd onto the computerisationing. Where I stayed, making error after cock-up, for a few hours. Until arrived. We had a natter as she medicated me, did the eye drops, and departed. Not before putting a pad on.

To .

More computing mishaps, then out I poddled onto the balcony. Took this very sad to me, photo of the tree copse
The sad bit is that I can no longer go for a walk-through as I did for so many years almost daily. Humph!
The end car park mud-slide was building up in the rain.

Went to make my second mug of tea.
Checked on the soup left over from last night. It was edible enough to have tonight… and hastily responded to my innards message to get back to the

The yellow evacuated liquid, now had some red and black in it? The toilet roll was used up again! I anticipated this and had taken in two more rolls earlier on.

returned. She was tired, bless her.

Blogging, then…
Took these two photos of the beautiful clouds…

I stopped blogging for a while. Got a waste bag made up.
Then went to the kitchenette, to add a can of garden peas to the soup in the saucepan… !
Putting the empty can in the new waste bag, I managed to cut my finger down the nail of the sharp edge of the tin. I didn’t bleed much, and it was a teeny-weeny cut anyway. I washed it and put a plaster on it…  cutting the plaster, I cut the same finger on the other side of the nail!

I thought this was a smidge comical…
Adding sauce, the soup was vegetable.
I then dropped the sauce bottle!
I think my bad luck, may be perpetual!

Back to the computer.
.
The first fail all day; are they getting better?

came. A nice gal, who liked a natter and laugh, which suited and cheered me up a lot. Got the tablets issued, eye drops in, and accepted an ice cream. Not seen her for a long time. I asked if I could take her photo for this blog, and she agreed. Here it is…

The day bag was emptied.
The colour started as a number four, this morning. In the afternoon it turned rather dark, a 5 on the NHS scale. This time…
back to a better NHS-3, I reckon.

I took three photos of the amazing night view…
From a distance…
A little closer…
Then close-up! They were all a little fuzzy-looking, but still looked wonderful to me.

I started the soup warming and had to visit the Throne again…
porc tttThe tablets don’t seem to be helping with the Diarhorrea?
They have always helped in the past? Shame!.

Carer Richard arrived without ringing the door chime, nearly gave me a heart attack, when he woke me up! Hehehe!
The lad gave me painkillers and asked if needed any Peptac or the night pouch attaching. I explained that I had not had a meal yet, so no need to put the bag on for me. I’d take the Peptac after eating. Ricard checked the medication drawer, and put the eye drops in for me.

FOOD, GLORIOUS FOOD!

Taste-Rating: 9/10.

I saw this meal off without waste! Haha!

Washing the pots up, I took photos of the evening view again.
More blurred this time.
.
Not my best photographicalisationing!

Time to take the Peptac. So, I took the Peptac. Then went to drain the day bag ready to put the night pouch on, and the urine colour had gone to a 6 on the NHS scale.
Oh, what a todoo!

Inchy: Fri 22 Sept 2023, Lymphorrhea Lesion Leslie leaks a lake! And some Old Odes Galore!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
But the new spectacles are not up to scratch – Mind you, I have already scratched the lens on them. Cognitive Impairment Iris, the water geyser on the right leg has had to be bandaged… by me, what a mess I made of it. Little Inchie is giving nearly as much pain as Back-Pain-Brenda is! Plus, Concentration Konrad is along with all of these, making it hard work! Can’t hear very well either. Humph!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Such a bad day for me. Worst in a long time. Confused, even more forgetful. Back-Pain-Brenda, Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley, Little Inchie bleeding, as were indeed poor Harold’s Haemorrhoids and the teeth. Then as I was about to get my head down in the early hours of this morning (Saturday), one of the right lymphatic leg leakage gysers burst open! Anyway, I must at least try to keep to at least an imitation of the events’ chronological order. (Which it is already tp late to do, innit?) But the chances of that are best minimal –  in fact, I can guarantee they and the grammar will leave you as confused as I am! Tons of things have been missed off this record. Due to my impressively effective habit of losing things – like the notepad I wrote all my notes on… the hearing aids, which I got out to show Kara two days ago, and have not got the foggiest where I put them! Oh, and the new reading glasses have absconded as well. I’m not sure whether to blame Dementia Doreen or Cognitive Impairment Iris. Maybe the constant pain I’m in is sending me a smidge more doolally than it normally does?

Great colour in the nocturnal catheter night bag.

Ten hours later, with little in the way of memory, and realising the notebook had done a runner. Liberty-Global Virgin Media had gone down at least…

Back-Pain-Brenda had forced me to take extra forbidden by the District Nurse, painkillers. Then, poor Little Inchie started bleeding as I bent down to retrieve biscuit barrel, and hit my head on the edge of the cabinet. The left Cataract eye, felt like it had glass in it, and assisted Confusion Conrad in making this a terrible day for me.

Off to the Porcelain Throne…
This procedure was repeated five or six times over the day. With the same result! Zilch!

The toes remain in a two-tone shade.

Sorted the evening bags out.

I do recall Carer Chis coming n the last call of the day.
He cheered me up a smidgeon. I took his photo as he was preparing to give me the Maxitrol Eye Drops. Note how he keeps the light bulb covered as he puts them in for me?
Feeling a little perked up now, I took his Bloof Pressure etc. and put it in the NHS thingamajig. After the lad had gone, I inputted it, with excellent results coming back. Insisted he takes a drinkie & nibbles in thanks for his kindness.

Got the Wednesday blog finished at long last, and posted it of just before midnight. Realising as I did, that the potatoes on the crockpot had been cooking now for about 18 hours!
I went to investigate the condition of them… Haha! They were fine! Just right, but they had been in a low-heat setting.
I put the cheese & onion pasty in the microwave and went to attempt a wet room evacuation on the ? Porcelain Throne…
No, nothing moved. I might have my stomach blow up if I don’t get a clearout before long.

Got the meal served up, and washed the pots & pans. Nothing exciting I know, but I enjoyed it all the same. So tired out now, still with pains and aches, especially so with Back-Pain-Brenda and Little Inchies sufferings. Flavour-Rating: 7.6/10!

As I was just putting the dish and cutlery in the bowl of water to wash them… slipped and I nearly went over, clouted my knuckles on the corner of the sink, and at the same time felt wet dripping on my right foot. My immediate thought was that the retaining clip on the catheter must have opened… Then it dawned on me, the was now on my left leg?
Oh, ‘ecky thump!.
One of the Lymphorrhea Leslie water geysers had burst open, and the fluid coming out was spreading from between my toes, all over the kitchenette floor. That’s why the stick slipped I think? No panic, though! Oh, no… just the most humungous pissed-off session of my life! Which turned into a self-pitying bout of depression at my rotten, ever-worsening state of health medically and mentally.
I was so looking forward to getting some sleep after being up for so long and suffering a horrendous day… well, much more than 24 hours. Now, I struggle to find the tapes, bandages and pads, which I have never applied on my own before. I found the equipment quickly, as the flow of Lymph fluid dwindled to just a slow seeping-out stage.

Let’s face it, there couldn’t be much left in my body to come out after the imitation Niagra Falls event! Hehehe!  It felt like I was wading through water as I got into the other room with the assorted medical stuff.
Uncertain about how to go with applying the coverings, I pressed on and hoped for the best. (Hoped for the best? Me? Hehehe!) I seem to recall several worries at this stage. This is not unusual as Tom Jones sang. I’ve to clean the mess up in the kitchen yet. What if I can’t stop the flow?
I recognised now what the bits of white on the kitchen floor were; I think they were skin.
Dizzy Dennis & Back-Pain-Brenda visited me, due to my breaking my strict instructions for the Falls Lady Sarah. As KI had no choice but to bend down to reach the lesion. It felt okay, and I was sure the flow had stopped within minutes of putting on my Heath Robinson medications.
Then noticed a new bruise on my other leg. Due mayhap, to my banging it on the cabinet as I stopped myself tumbling?

The agony never stops for muggings here. By the time I’d cleaned up the kitchen floor and mess, I found myself apologising to Back-Pain-Brenda… as if that was going to stop her hurting? Tsk!.
Inchy’s Ode to Getting Old

A picture I’d taken and forgot to put on earlier,
Today has been worthy of a two-finger gesture!

The hurt, confusion, and mental conjecture,
I miss nattering, a good blathering or clishmaclaver,
Old age brings ills, lurgies and conjecture…
Fears, and worries, one can’t disencumber.
I used to ruminate, contemplate, consider,
My brain’s now an expert at ecdemomania,
I was considered a flibbertigibbeter,
I often wonder over life, whysoever?
Philosophy is hard when one’s not clever,
Although, I used to be a willing forgiver…
Oh, forgive me, I’m starting to yatter…
Although, does this really matter?
I’m also known as a prognosticator,
An empath, clairvoyant, or prophesier,
Closer to the grave, I’m more of a toeier,
Now the brains getting slower, foggier…
Just to think, I was a half-decent squash player,
Ageing, deciding, opting? No, I’m now a procrastinator…
With physical and mental pains… it’s a bugger!

Inchy: Mon 18 Sept 2023 Struggling to painfully wee!

The many much-anticipated medicalists did not arrive!
And just as well too! Just the District Nurse, Rebecca.
She soon whipped out catheter paraphernalia. Gave me the instructions and what would happen… it didn’t as it happens.
She was to return later, in the afternoon, she said, with the scanner to see if the bladder was emptying or not. Asked me to record each wee-wee, how much liquid I took in, and measure the urine released. As an afterthought, she said it might be tomorrow when they come. I assume it will be, as it is now 18:25hrs at this moment.
I expect they will want me to keep on overnight recording and measuring each & every leak I take?

This is the log up until now, its just been updated. Hope I wake up when a trickle starts to painfully come?
Tomorrow looks like it is going to be even busier. Today would have been easier, but having to keep peeing, measuring and recording, especially with my wee-weeing in a little painful, and everyone, squirts. About 6 times an hour on average. Been a long day, and will be a long night. Wonder if the nurse will arrive early tomorrow? Hope so. I’ve not got much else done, today; my plans were destroyed.

Nocturnal Pouch.

Close to the window shot of the rain.
Upper window shot.

Ablutions & Throne visited.
Washed the cap.
Feet okay.
Spuds to nibble from last night.
Rain back middayish.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Nurse Rebecca arrived.

The rain returned.
Stayed for a few hours…
Nice views even if I did get wet taking them.
Almost constant wee-weeing, well, painful dribbles.Pareidoliaing view.
See him now? Hehe!
Mystery Photo of the day?
Mud Side that slid.

19:00hrs. Tired and peeing so often, but so little.

Packing up now; make some roast spuds and keep the notepad & pen, along with the measuring jug to record any Little Inchie leaks.

A simple nosh. After taking this photo, I remembered to get some of Jenny’s yellow & red tomatoes added.
Very nice.

Painfully peeing, a little at a time!

Cheers!

IN ODE
Not much today, folks; a few reasons why, for sure…
Yesterday’s tumble was no pleasure…
Today, my balance has gone, Dennis Dizzies for sure…
Taken painkillers, but there’s not a cure…
A.M. nearly over twice; do you know,
I swore?
Shaking Shoulder Shirley and more…
Back-Pain-Brenda, confusion to endure…
Left the tap running, no hot water, theretofore,.
The injuries are only superficially,
I broke two teeth, in the fall, both moving loosely!
A scratch on the chin, bruised knees badly,
Felt better last night than I do today,
Just my luck, what can I say?

Busy day tomorrow, Nurses coming galore!
I hope I don’t again fall on the floor,
Knees bruised, bashed the catheter…
Two nurses are coming to my very door…
Taking off the aforementioned catheter,
But after the tumble, I’ve got blood in my wee!
So they may not take it out; I’ll have to see…
They wanted to see if I could manually pee!
I think it might be Chrissie & Rosemary,
Then Nurse Hristina from the Warfarin DVT…
Taking blood, she always cheers me ♥!

Sarah from the falls team, maybe…

Now I’ve no hot water, so I can’t shower and shave.
If it doesn’t heat up, then the microwave…
Kettle, cooker to use, I must be brave…
I don’t have a lot of luck on Sundays…
Or Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays…
Nor Thurs
days, Fridays & Saturdays!
Concentrating on this leaves me in a daze,
I thought when I reached my twilight days.
There’d be time to snooze and laze…
Pareidoliaing, reading, life to appraise!
.
Ailments, infirmity, disquiet & mental malaise!
Peripheral Neuropathy issues many
a shockwave!
To suffering late in life I’m a slave?

This will be as I say, a quickie, sorry.

Last night’s nosh. Not as good as it looked.
Taste Rating: 6.5/10.

The first bag emptied at about 02:10hrs was deep red,
this one was at 07:00hrs when I stirred.

Asda potatoes from the bag. Some seem to have melted into liquid in the skins? Urgh!
I hope none of the crap ones got into the crockpot?

A late morning shot.

Not feeling good today. Dizzies, lack of concentration and just avoided a tumble at teatime, when the dizzies seemed to be coming from within my head? A first that!

Mystery photo!

Carer Rahmat, then Carer Joanne, then Carer Israel.

Three trips to the wet room. All with the same results.

Late now, and I was tired as well as not being up to much mentally or physically.
The busy day may mean me missing a blog; I’ll see how it goes.
All those nurses visiting. Lovely!
Back in the morning, I hope.

TTFN!

Inchie: Sat 16th Sept 2023 Took Another Tumble

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
While Carer Chris was getting Inchy back up on his feet, he said, “I’m going to do another rhyme about life!” And he did, as you can see. When the morning Carer arrived, there he was at his computer working on the aforementioned ode. When the next Carer called hours later… there he was, still on his computer, working on the aforementioned ode. It’s not as if it is any good, but he continues to dish out this rubbish. Which possibly proves the validity of what the old man wrote?
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Not as good as last week. But I’m still here despite the new ailments found lurking within… and around. Hehehe!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Easy-Peasy, pudding & pie! No idea what that means?
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Another day of disasters. Well, maybe not disasters, but calamities, maybe. It all started so well, as well. I was feeling well… to start with.  Then the cock-ups started!
I’ll just mention two of them in this intro. Cause they cost me so much time, it’s now gone 20:00hrs, and I’ve just started this blog. Plans went askew, as they usually do! No, I’ve changed my mind; I’ll reveal what I remember of it, more or less how and when they happened in this amazingly popular blog, so as not to keep my mass of followers on tenter-hooks. It’s not fair to either of them. It’ll be a little sparse… that’s another thing, poor on and off all day. I’ll make a start; the Carer is due soon…

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Up and at them this morning. (I hasten to add, this morning, well moment, only!)  I dislodged the nocturnal pouch from the day bag. When getting up, the balance was a bit dodgy, and I ended up plopping back down into the £300, second-hand bought, c1968, nauseously beige-coloured, not-working, rusty, rickety, crumb-holder of a tatty recliner. A bloody experience. Poor blood flowed out, and as I got up again to do the balance exercises before trying to walk, I on the Ottoman. I’m not sure which hurt me more. Hehe!
Off I poddled, very carefully to the wet room to Germoloid and wash my end. Picked up , & off to the wetroom. After washing and medicating Harolds’ wounds, putting olive oil in the ears, and then I sprayed some Brut over myself, I got the fresh dressing gown on.
You wouldn’t believe how painfully I accidentally shoulder-charged the door frame when leaving. Naturally, this started both , joined in then. I was a bit of a confused wreck for a few minutes! Nothing new there, mind you.
After a sit-down, drink of spring water, and a couple of the delectable Le Petit Beurre biscuits, I decided I must get on with things, and not feel sorry for myself. (As if!)
I found this photo on the right when I got onto the computer.
Must have been yesterday when I took this one, unknowingly. Then realised I’d not done the waste bags and safety checks. So, I did.
Made up[ the bag from three bins and put them near the door.
Then to the kitchen and took a picture through the window, hence the flash reflection. You can tell I’m a professional photographer, can’t you? Hehehe!

Checked in the kitchen, taps were okay, the oven was not left on and the fridge & freezer doors were shut–too.

Back on the computer. Sorted the photos from the SD card for yesterday’s blog updating, and was doing a reasonable job of it, if you don’t mind me saying so.
Then, an interruption for the use of the .

Another half-hour was lost! The mess, and I had to change into new Protection Pants due to my not being quick enough to get there to avoid a little seepage!
So more cost with having to re-Germoloid and Germolene my more delicate parts again. I was slowly sinking into a depression. But forced myself out of it, and into the kitchen with the aim of making a brew of tea.
But arrived. Got the eye drops done, and we had a little natter while she issued the medications for me.
I took her blood pressure. She’s one of the best BPs I’ve ever seen.
Hello, back to the .
What a mess again!
However, I did get there in time – only just, fair enough. But I was pretty pleased with my dexterity in getting there…
Not so with my dropping the toilet roll onto the WC; I’m getting wee’d off with doing this so often lately. The blame is on my , and after reading about the symptoms yesterday on the web, .
I’m losing my grip or hold on things so much more often this week. The right hand and fingers are getting stiffer and even less sensitive to touch. The digits often freeze on me. That’s how I dropped the mug of tea a week ago. Which managed to avoid the whole of the kitchen floor as it landed directly on my poor little .

I then got carried away when spending three hours, just doing today’s Ode! Even worse, I got involved in researching suitable words for other rhymes. Again, it’s messing about with my brain. I’m certain she’s getting more masterful at it.
Carer Joanne arrived, and we had a little chinwag. mutual moans and laughs. At last, I remembered to pay her for the eye pads she’d fetched me last week to use for the .
Bless her cotton socks.

I had this inane idea, of picturing the pot and me attempting to release the contents of the day pouch, which actually came out a bit decent, I thought. (Right)
However…
And what a one…
My right hand fingers froze as I was about to close the release valve. The pee shot all over my legs, feet and the carpet, not to mention the 1966 second-hand Hopewell’s G-Plan cabinet!
I faffed about trying to spray the disinfectant on the paper towels and tread them down, then remove them to the bin, and repeated the process. The third time, the towels were breaking up, and I could not use the picker-upperer this time.
So I got more fresh towels and.. wait for it… Bent down to gather the residue in them.
Of course, I should have known better. The Fall Team Lady, Sarah, told me not to bend down from now on. But when I keep constantly dropping and knocking stuff over, I don’t really have a choice? The urine must be cleaned up and the smell obliterated… But I’m sorry, I tried it now…
As I leant down with the fresh towelling, a visit from had me toppling forward, hitting my face on the cabinet and scraping against it on my way down slowly to the floor!
I’d a few little scratches on the chin; two teeth had been loosened, and were bleeding. was upset with me landing on her knee. This started of the bothersome , then joined in. Getting back up was its usual struggle. But at no time did I consider using the alarm wristlet.

The whole day crumbled after this one. Although, when arrived, he helped me… well, he cleaned it up all on his own for me. A nice lad.
He asked if I needed him to ring the ambulance or Doctor’s. I think the neuropathy shakes and shudders made me look worse than I felt. I was lucky for once, I think; at least the bag didn’t burst open on me and make things even worse. When taking the medications, the right-hand fingers played dead again. I all but dropped the bottle of soda I was drinking from to get the tablets down. I took his BP, and here are the recent results from the Carers tests. They are a healthy lot. Haha!

I shall now, at 00:20hrs, invest some time in getting something to eat, at last.

I hope to be back in the morning,
And doing a lot less moaning,
I hope not to be groaning,
Suppose I’ll be mentally fidgeting?
If I can make time, do some vacuuming?
The computer needs fragmenting,
My teeth and jaw are stinging…
My back is really aching,
I am unfortunately anticipating…
a struggle with the ablutioning,
Trotsky Terence, Porcelain Throning…
I hope Little Inchie stops bleeding.
And I’ll try to stop burping!

Friday 15th September 2023 – Inchy’s End Of The World Dream Revealed

Well, butter my butt and call me a biscuit! Over six hours of sleep, with just one wake-up early in the morning, about 05:00hrs, after I’d had the dream about the end of mankind & the planet. I scribbled some memory notes to help me in recall for the writing about it on the ode for today. (above). It was like a documentary. Forecasts, images and disasters were being revealed. Constantly changing between countries and different types of catastrophes. All of them, humankind made.   I did wonder if had had a hand in creating this nightmare, well, morningmare? Apparently, the end will come in three years’ time. But by the time it ends, judging by the details given to me, those still left on earth will be glad to see the back of it. Millions of humans committed suicide, genocide, fratricides, sororicides, infanticides, homicides, general populicides, and a few tyrannicides as well. Still, it made a nice change to wake up with something on my mind. Hehe!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

At 0605hrs, I emerged from the aged, grotty-looking c1966 made, charity-shop-bought, horribly beige-coloured, £300, Harold’s Haemorrhoid-testing, non-operational, acne-giving, virus-breeding, rickety, easy-to-fall-out-of recliner, with scribble on the note pad to create an ode about the dream for this blog. And that was all I seemed interested in.
The nocturnal catheter pouch urine was darker today. This makes me worry about the District Nurses taking off the entire on Monday, to see if I can manually wee-wee. If it is this colour when they arrive, I can’t see them bothering. They may decide to book me in for a permanent catheter option? I pray not!

I got on the computer, but as soon as I started using it…
Down it went! But I got it back within 15 minutes. Then spent a good one-and-a-half hours making the Dream Ode.

Sorted the waste bags out.

Went to the kitchenette, and the morning mist up high was obliterating views from the window.
The first shot I took, had the flash on.
The 2nd at least you can see the houses.
Neither photos were very good.

Then… nervously off to the wet room. But only slightly this time. Messy again, but at least there were a few torpedo-shaped chunks in there. Haha!

The feet and toes looked surreal with their oh-so-white toe ends. Otherwise, they were looking good.

The Carer Arrived. Had a natter while she did the medicationings and eye drops.

Worked on yesterday’s blog, and within three hours I’d updated and posted it off to WordPress!

Before starting on today’s photos, I fetched an ice cream cornet from the freezer – it was far too soft, so I expect my leaving the freezer door open has done more damage than I expected. When I get time, I’ll have to dish some stuff.

Took a photo to the left of the flats.
Where the morning sun is still behind Mapperley Hill.
Then straight ahead.

I adjusted the strapping on the catheter. Not very well, though. Carer Victor arrived and readjusted the straps for me. Where did the time go? afternoon already!

Wee-weeing well… but…
see how it comes out of the pouch?

Better tackle the ablutioning now. This is going to be a long job. Getting things together and ready to go in.
Oh, I’ll do the waste first. Been tidying up… Oh, Yes!
13:12hrs: To the Wet Room! Charrrge! Well, I limped in.
Pleased with the shaving while standing in a bowl of water at the sink. No trips, slips or balance problems. I even got out and washed and dried the bowl, harm-free!
And as for the shaving, huh, only two cuts! Honestly!
The showering I admit was a bit of a farce. Hit my head on the power box. dropped the loofah twice, and stubbed my toe on the flipping shower chair leg.
Drying off, I knocked a selection of things off of the floor cabinet. I took two photographicalisations of the mess, but neither made it to the SD card.

Even getting into the Protection pants was relatively easy today? I’m not saying it was easy; I meant it was less painful, and no injuries were involved. But it still hurt! Hahaha!

15:15hrs; All done. Got some potatoes in the oven, and back to the computer to get on with this blog.
Getting tired now (16:25hrs), so I’ll get the nosh sorted out.

Carer Marie arrived as I was planning the meal. Showed me a way to shred cheese in a safer way; bless her.
I got on with making the cheesy potatoes, with some of Jenny’s yellow & red tomatoes, fishless fish sticks, And sliced beetroot. The strawberry dessert was on its last sell-by date.
Flavour Rating: 9/10!

I took some snaps earlier, that I forgot to put in here. Well fancy that; Me! forgetting something!
Sky to the North.
Sky to the North, a little higher.
A later shot of the same area.
Even earlier and missed off, a shot of the car park end.

Went into the wet room, to change my PP’s…
and clean & medicate my lower region.
I was flabbergasted to see that the bruise on the left thigh, that I got when taking the last tumble, and two days later had completely vanished – was back again? Impossible, surely? I haven’t taken any knocks or falls for days now.
Ah, unless I took a knock nocturnally… could be?

Carer Victor did the last call. I was asleep when he came, and have little knowledge of how things went, but he had put the night pouch on for me. Getting back to sleep took a while, and when I got there, there were the odd flapping and threshing about awakenings. But at least didn’t go on and on as he has been doing; in fact, he’s given me two nights off… but he’s back, but not with a vengeance this time.

TTFNski, each!

INCHY: Monday 11th September 2023

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
SORRY ABOUT ALL THE MISTAKES – I HAD TO RUSH IT
Thanks to Liberty-Global Virgin Media for letting me down so often yet again. Not so often, actually, but in total, I had no internet for over 4-hours! Cocked up all my plans.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Where can I start? What few words will satisfactorily cover today’s disastrous, frustrating, farcical, pathetic, depressing, failure-filled, up for 26hrs of trying to catch up… Oh yes, they’ll do!

What a difference in yesterday’s & today’s nocturnal colouring of the wee-wee!

I see this as a danger sign that they threatened and been warned that, a permanent catheter would be put in, shortly? It’s been a long time now since I’ve been taking Finasteride prostate-reducing tablets. It must be 3 months by then? Remember when I first had the catheter fitted? All the blood in the bags. I found this photograph on file from December 22.

It took them from my getting into hospital when the deep red blood started to flow. After three visits to the QMC hospital, I was kept in again. During this, over two days, the catheter was put in and taken out, then back in, then out, at least eight times. Oh, the pain! I got to learn the sounds of other patients having theirs out and in again; because it was the same sort of Arrgh!, that I was making each time. Humph!

Then I was transferred to the City Hospital. Where the frequency over three days of the agonising tube going in repeatedly, was twice as often as at the QMC!

Next, a visit to a Specialist in Sherwood Hospital. Eight outpatient visits to the City Hospital Urology, to be told they are not sure what caused it in the first place. The last time I met any Doctor about the problem, was at the Private Hospital. That turned out to be an eight-minute talk, and I was told he was going to advise my GP to start me on Finasteride but must take it for two months, which hopefully, potentially may reduce the size of my Prostate and allow the flow of voluntary urine flow to begin again. Nurses arrived to put the new type of catheter cruelly in Little Inchie Hehehe! Four months later, of my taking Finasteride, the nurses returned and took out the catheter, calling back two days later, and they checked with the scanner how much urine was in the bladder after I rid as much as I could to the WC. One of the nurses said the bladder was still a third full. So, back in went the catheter again!
Supposedly for another two months, of Finasteride taking. That was four months ago. I’ve had the Catheter contraption taken out and straight back in twice more times, but no sign of me being allowed to try to manually wee-wee again?
I lost the plot there, didn’t I?  It’s the getting darker urine in the bag that’s got me going. They didn’t know or didn’t tell me, apart from ‘Some Infection’, the cause of this nearly a year ago started blood from the bladder.
Back to today… Well, yesterday, it was already 04:00hrs, and this is as far as I’ve got with this blog; waffling does not help, and boy, am I tired. Have to cut corners, Sorry. (But I ended up bogging, spitting and passing wind all night long, blogging instead)

After taking the nocturnal pouch from the day bag, I tackled the waste bin assembly.
Placed them near the door.

I took a snap of the extremely blue views from the kitchenette window.

Then the ablutions were tackled. Not a good session. Stubbed a toe, and spilt the washing bowl all over the floor, picking up after standing in it to clean the feet. The teeth were bleeding, just two cuts shaving. The feet, or rather toes, seemed to be getting larger areas of apparent bloodlessness?.

Another change in the Evacuated Produce in the WC. Can’t understand this. I mentioned these variations to the Doctor, but, either she wasn’t interested, didn’t hear me, or, I meant to mention it but forgot to? Spent ages cleaning up.
Hristina, my sweet DVT, INR phlebotomist nurse, arrived to take some more blood ♥♥♥. Lovely to see her. The INR level, was at 2.9 last time, so I may not see her again next week. Boo!
As the internet went down again, Carer Richard arrived. He looked and sounded a little better this week, I’m glad to report. Nice chap.
As he left, the Ocado order arrived.

DOWN FOR 4.5 HOURS

The driver carried the bags through to the kitchen for me. Thanked him, and offered him a nibble or drink in thanks, but he declined.
I’d got Tonic Water, instead of Soda Water, but that’s no bother. Lavender Dettol for washing the tenderer areas washing. The seaweed arrived. Ans some biscuits made by LU to try, which I did, but they were not to my liking, too hard and sweet for me and the few teggies I’ve got left. Tsk! I gave them to the next carer, as he tried one and liked it. The batter scraps arrived, too, I intended to have some of these later. The fresh Kenyan peas were a treat to have as well! Aha, a soft biscuit, I see! Jolly good for me!
I didn’t get the bananas, but have one left. I think I may have ordered some from Asda?
After working on and off on the blog for some fours… The Mammoth Blackout, from you know who…
IT WAS OFF FOR 4.5hrs!
I spent a long time trying to sort it before I started watching the time. .Nothing seemed to work. Wi-Fi swapping and that didn’t help either. Reset, reboot, I closed down everything completely, and that failed.
All shut off again, restarted the crap Liberty-Global Virgin Media box, gave it a reboot and sat waiting.
Another do-no-good idea. At one point, the service did return, but lasted only a few seconds; this repeated several times. Most frustrating. I had to give up and reset the box again, leaving restarting while I got an early nosh sorted out.
Made a mess cooking this meal, a right one! I actually wrote the timing down after I worked out what was needed in order. The potatoes were left over in the crock pot from last night… well the early hours of this morning, I was having them cold. Only the pretend fish, peas and fish batter to heat up in the oven for just two minutes. I’m looking forward to these; I’ve not had any for months. The fish in the air-fryer needed 20 minutes, the peas a few minutes to just heat up in the saucepan, tomatoes soy sticks tomatoes and beetroot no cooking needed. When I laid out the plate, there seemed to be a gap?
I got the cooking utensils, washed up straight away. Then got seated and tucked into the meal. I was about 90% of the way through eating it… and suddenly remembered I’d left the batter bits in the oven! I foolishly rushed to the kitchen, and grabbed the bits tipping them on the nearly finished meal tray.
Of course, they were burnt to buggery! What a Plonka! No internet, burnt meal what next? Although you can’t see it in the picture on the right, it was belting down with rain. Not that that bothered me. I was just hoping to get the computer internet working again. The two Carers who called were amazed to me not on the computer!.
Interesting shot here on the left. Why I snapped my fingers? No doubt I hadn’t meant to, surely? Hehehe!
I took a shot of the sky while waiting for the damned, blasted Liberty-Global Oligarchs box to reset yet again. A highly Pareidoliaiable Picture this one!.
(Incidentally, it is now 05:50hrs on Tuesday) .
Carer Benjamin called earlier on the last visit of the day. I took this photo then but only just got around to getting it from the SD card. I sent him a copy by email.

Not that I can get much sleep, cause the Carer is calling in 2-2.5 hours. But I can go on no further. Busy day tomorrow, I’ve got to have a battle with the internet again, I may cry!
The Asda delivery is due. The DVT and FAlls Team Sarah… ‘Might’ be calling, and the spare room needs clearing. I still need help with arranging the flu jab at the chemist. I may be back… or not!
Overnight shot of the open balcony doors and the TV I watched when you know who’s internet went on strike again! I viewed a ‘Something Inside Me’ programme and took a few photos as I did so.
I put these on Tuesday’s blog, and got two hours sleep, then started to do that.

Mentally Shattered – But EQ was here, telling me things were going to get much worse. He was right!

INCHY: Saturday 9th September 2023 – Aboulomania!

Ahem! I found this in ten seconds! Fair enough, it was designed for infants to work out. But still – Hehe!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
It didn’t last long, though…
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
This day, I was more out of it than in again. The urine in the night bag was dark but grew darker as I refilled the day bag. Well into the evening, it turned an almost perfect near-white? The Porcelain Throne visits (4) were bloody and painful, with absolutely nothing getting through to the WC! I spent ages on the Throne, all to no avail. I’m now taking crystals to help me go, after months of taking anti-diarrhorea pills to stop me from going! In fact, I was on the Throne when Carer Chris came in and tapped on the door asking if I was alright. I’d not heard the chime. He said he could hear me oohing, r’ing and swearing! Guilty!

The memory, Dizzies, Confusion, and I could barely hear anyone I spoke with… I must try to sort out the problem with the Audio Centre, to get some help to ring them next week. No Kara next week. I think she’s on a deserved holiday. The financials are all on hold. Carer Atere said he was coming in her place. He knows the financial paperwork storage system, which will be a big help.

The usually Nocturnal Thought Storms Steve had a bash at trying diurnal Thought Storming! Huh!  Just what I needed, Not!
Concentration Konrad was noticeable by his complete absence
.
The number of times I just could not think of what I was after an interruption, was so often I lost count. I’m not kidding. And yet there was an air of acceptance with me today. I reckon I thought I deserved it… Well, according to Thought Storm Steve, who was constantly reminding me of the shameful things from my youth.
The day was spent on the computer. Apart from the emptying of the catheter pouch, the failed visits to the Porcelain Throne, and the Carers calling. The worst repeat interruptions were from the , .who amassed many brown-outs today. Which in their usual fashion lost me work that I’d done and could not save, because I had to turn everything off, and reset the box, then restart the computer. Even change Wi-Fi connection numbers each time it went down, and do the same work again!
What me, Cry? Blubber, Howl? Curse, Swear?
It was only my dyspathy towards the number-crunching oligarchs, the smoke & mirrors money & figure manipulating financial geniuses of Liberty-Global that kept me going, and not packing up on the blogging.
Spit!

Still got a few photographicalisations done though!
Bejesus! What a colour!
Still dark hours later, when I belatedly emptied the day pouch.

Waste bags sorted out.

During one of the failed visits, I had to change into fresh PPs. I tried one of the cheaper XXL ones…
The first laugh of the entire day!
I struggled, as usual getting them on, but kept my balance; no fall or tumble, not even any banging on the wall, stubbed toe or door-head-butting
. Finally, I got both legs in the right holes… Don’t laugh; I have been known to get them the wrong way around… also trying to get two legs in the same hole. Go on then, laugh! Hehe!
I carefully got the pants up my legs, without catching the release valve lever… this was going so well. The laugh came to me when I got them fully pulled up… they were so big the waistband was only inches from my nipples! Hahaha!

Artist Impression done in CorelDraw by Inchy. Har-Har!

Aha, much lighter shade this afternoon!
My favourite puffer clouds to the north.
And, to the east!

Liberty-Global Internet went down a few more times.
Gnash!

I dropped a tablet and thought it fell in the waste bin.
Had a sort through the bin, but could not find it.
So I got the torch and looked underneath the second-hand bought ex-Hopewells  G-Plan c1960 sideboard with the computer on it. Not only couldn’t I find it, I stubbed my toe in the struggle to get back up on my feet again! It has to be in the bin…
So, another dig around in the waste bin.
And another failure to find the Codeine. Hey-Ho!

Then realised when I’d stubbed the toe, I’d caught the right ankle ulcer. It stung a bit, but I now had the Germolene to rub in to ease it. Of course, bending down to rub in the ointment, kicked off , so she got some Germolene rubbed in… at least the area I could reach. I wonder if any youngsters read this blog? They’ll, just like I did, and think it’ll not happen to be, getting dithery, dozy and daft as a brush. Haha!

Night Shots From the Kitchen Window
Peaceful looking?
Lights out time.
Sky again to the left.

Here are the results of the carers tested for their BP.
All looking good!

Well into the morning now, I’d better get some nosh done.
I shall report back with a sit-rep for you every one of my avid readers in the morning. Hope you both sleep well. Har-Har!

03:00HRS: AT LAST… FOOD!
Vegetable Chilli-Con-Carne!
Breadsticks, a banana, and an iced lolly for afters.
Flavour-Rating: 9.2/10!

Got bedded down around 03:20hrs, and low & behold, was waiting ready to start again. But I did get off eventually and had nearly three hours of bliss. .
I would have stayed in the £300 second-hand shop purchased, c1966, welt-causing, uncomfortable, not-working, itch-inspirational, crumb-containing recliner for longer; Unfortunately Dementia Doreen’s compatriot, , convinced me on waking, that it was Monday! So I thought I had a delivery coming between 7 & 8, and it was already 07:15hrs; a semi-panic-mode was engaged and I got up in a bit of a rush; Dizzy Dennis visited, and I plumped down again, with a foggy head. Then realised it was Sunday.

Int life Good? Haha!
TTFNski!
