Inchcock Today: Tuesday 2nd August 2022

———————————–

TUESDAY 2nd AUGUST 2022

07:20hrs: I burst back into the world of woes with the regulation jump, jerk and jabberwockies. Realising how late it was, I climbed out of the £300, second-hand bought, c1968, nauseously beige-coloured, not-working, rusty, rickety, crumb-holder of a tatty recliner, was on the way to unlocking the door for Carer Richard and I had to nip into the wet room.
The actual evacuation was even easier than the last three days or so. But messier, you can’t win them all.
It was the worry over the water flood in the room that spoilt my pleasure with the rare good Throne visit. The water does not seem to lessen at all overnight, and, I admit, it made me nervous to walk in the water to get to the sink for a stand-up wash and shave. I chickened out. Cowardy cowardly custard! I can remember a year or so ago when the drain stopped working, and my going in to get the ablutions done… Mostly I remember the walking stick slipping in the water and my falling and entangling myself with the sock glide. The cuts and bruises took ages to clear up.

Hopefully, the maintenance will arrive today to have a look at the shower problem. I hope so because I must be ponging a bit by now, going showerless for so long. I’ve just had a sniff… Yep!

Arrived, and I’d forgotten again to unlock the door for him. He was in a rush this morning, so very little nattering was allowed. A inquired about his getting some sleep, but he was down in the mouth as he told me of the 24-hour gas works outside where he lives still drilling away and partiers making a racket again. Gave him some lager, teacakes and a bottle of Inchcock’s Special Brew. (That be a litre of Schweppes tonic water, with some orange cordial added, and stored overnight in the fridge for him). I thought it might cheer him up a bit; I got the first smile off of him as he left, taking the waste bags with him to the chute for me. Poor lad.

I got out the checking gear for sphygmomanometerisationing and the temperature reading.

I thought it was an idea to open the balcony windows to let a bit of fresh air in while I did the HCs… having not had a shower, no signs of any NCH maintenance man arriving yet. The howling wind encouraged me to close the doors again.

The results were heartwarming, all good readings again, and I was back down into the amber zone! The third time in three weeks!

Back on the computer, Cleaner Esther came in to get the laundry things. And she did not tell me off about a single thing! Mind you, she has to come back with the washing yet, so we’ll see. Hehe! She doesn’t frighten me!

Is back at his hobby, making steam trains for charity. I’m not sure if he makes so much noise on purpose or not. Hope he doesn’t kick off late at night again.

The ♫ Oh, Susana ♫ tune rang from the door chime. My heart gladdened and burst with joy at the thought of the Nottingham City Homes plumber arriving to sort the shower out for me… Humph! It was neighbour Josie returning the things from her Sunday-Monday meal delivery. It was nice to see her, but all I said was not heard nor answered; she had not got her hearing aids in. So I smiled effusively and often. I never did find out if she enjoyed the meals or not. Bless her!

A text message came through on my G6 Nokia Lumia 929 Icon mobile phone. Only joking!
I thought it might be from the NCH plumber (again, I am a fool), but no, it was EE trying to sell me some crap for when I go abroad to save money! Another flutter of hopefulness, utterly destroyed!

♫ Oh, Susana’s ♫ tune rang from the door chime. Aha! Is this the NCH plumber? Nope, it was Esther returning. She explained that she was going to South Africa for three weeks’ holiday but had someone who could cover for her. She phoned the lady, Carol, who came to check me out. Nice lady, an ex-carer, and agreed to do the washing for me after Esther had explained my problems. They left together. Now waiting for Esther to return, and she did. She’d spoken with Deana to see what day they may be coming. Deana has reported it. It’s just a case of waiting now… Fancy that!

With so little sleep, I am getting irritable with myself, I think. Not with others, just with me. Not much chance of catching up on the sleep, well, none! I’ve got to stay awake to have the slightest chance of hearing the intercom when they arrive. If I go into the wet room, I can’t hear it, so, no opportunity to address my filthy stinking body with a stand-up wash and shave… risky (tumbles, slips) anyway with water still on the wet room floor… I’m not a winner, am I?

I got creative when I went to make a brew of Glengettie Gold tea. Ailments have stopped me from taking landscape photographs long since. So I took two snaps of the view from the kitchen window, put them together and trimmed them with CorelDraw. This is the outcome: Rather semi-pleased with this.

After making the brew, it had gone a smidge dark, and I took this picture of the wonderful if dank clouds this afternoon.

Good for Esther to arrange cover for her holiday. Time to get something to eat, methinks. So I did!

I knew it would happen. I fell asleep. No idea if any plumbers arrived and could not get in cause I couldn’t hear the intercom. If I can wake up early enough in the morning, before the NCH plumbers arrive, I will have to risk having a shave and stand-up wash and be ready for the ‘Will they come today’ big wait-in. Again!

Sharon arrived to wake me up. Medications given. Cold drinkies from the fridge in appreciation chosen.

On with updating this blog. Then on the WP Reader, answered a mass of comments came in on this blog. Got them both replied to.

The landline rang; it was Nathaniel from the Diabetes Defence Team. It was hard to hear everything he said, but I think I got the gist of the call. He told me to attend the next session on Friday 12th August.  He would stay behind afterwards and talk me through the missed first session. Being aware of Dementia Doreen, I asked him to please rng Warden Deana to inform her, so she can arrange transport – explaining that I feared I may forget to ask her. He said he would, and I thanked him profusely.
Getting back may be dodgy, might need a bus or tram, then two more buses, to get back to the flats. Being a Friday evening, there will be no Wardens or Carer boss available if there are any problems encountered. I am a worry-guts!

I did it again. Drifted of to sleep, and I was woken by Carer Sarah. Who got the medications sorted, and I forced a treat from the fridge on the gal in thanks. ♥ I checked the texts on the super new G6 Nokia phone to see if any messages had come in from Nottingham City Homes about the shoer repair attendance. Nothing on it, so I hope I’ve not missed them. Sarah said they do not call on non-emergencies after 17:00hrs.

Which got me thinking. I could get a stand-up shave and wash when Sarah has gone. I can lock the front door and dive into the wet room, and if I take extra care throughout, can I still get the ablutions done? After dithering a while, I gave myself the go-ahead.
Worra, good session! I carefully blocked off the flood water with a mop bucket, and I pulled the shower curtain over the other area. Then if I wandered into the danger area without thinking, the noise of either obstacle should alert me to the danger – it worked a treat! Fair enough, it did cause a , but it saved me having a tumble. I was proud of myself for once. No bleeding teeth, not a single nick shaving! Yes! And, just a few small flecks of blood from Harold’s Haemorrhoids and Little Inches fungal lesion had not been bleeding at all – plenty of stinging, of course, when I medicated the little unused other than for wee-weeing thing. Hehehe!

I came out of the wet room, a cleaner, sweeter-smelling Inchie. (Aftershave, deodorant, and the smell of Germoloid and Germolene creams helped. Hehe!) And had o go back in for a rear-end evacuation. Always something, whenever I begin to feel smug! It was a delayed action, a sudden swift and spurting movement, and so messy as things got sprayed to amazing distances. Cleaning it up also needed care to avoid slipping on the standing water. Still, I got it all sorted. Grade Two .

I sky when I got into the kitchen, was looking fantasic. I’ll put the earlier shots I’d taken here, with the latest one last. I’ll make the shots a little larger, so they can be appreciated. What a change!

A feast for the eyes. When I get cataracts done, I can really
relish watching them again.

I carried in with updating and posted this blog off to WP.

Then made the Ode below.

Inchcock’s Diary with an Ode

Thursday Sorry, Wednesday 13th July 2022

I had a terrible job getting to sleep. It was a bad night; constantly waking up with a twitch or jerk. So, I overslept by hours! No time to get the ablutions done, as the morning Carer could arrive at any time.
I’m afraid my mind was all over the place, absent, and befuddled, sufficient for me to lose what day it was. I started so many things going, none of which gained any fruition, never mind getting completed. Yet I continued to potter about in the wet room, spare room, kitchen and front room, not getting anything done but starting so many tasks and forgetting about them… I knew this, but I could do nothing about it to rectify my stupidity… Ah, that could be my motto!

I’ve just read on my memory pad, ‘rubber balls’, I think. Not the foggiest why I wrote it! ♫Oh, Susana♫ chimed from the doorbell, and the morning Carer came in, it was Richard. Which surprised me cause he doesn’t usually come on a Thursday (At this time, I’d not been informed it was Wednesday and not Thursday, all a part of my visit from Confusion Conrad, Tsk!) Poor Richard was still coughing away; been this for a few days now; the lad has. I mentioned that I hoped it was not Covid, and this seemed to upset Richard (not a lot!). He replied in a resolute unquestionable tone; it was not Covid. So I left the subject. He couldn’t stay too long; he’d got other calls to do. But we still managed a little to and fro nattering. Handed him some nibbles, flavoured water and plonk. Went to the door with him (I am a talker!), on his way out – at which he put on a heavy-duty Covid mask. It looked the business too. I think he said he was coming to do me on the morrow morning… but how I was with chronology and dates… I might well be wrong. Hahaha!

I got the computer started. Will I ever get a blog written today? Made a start on getting the photos online and sorted. Then, ♫ Oh, Susana ♫ chimed out again. It was the J Sainsbury’s delivery coming. It took me ages to sort them out, not that were any particular difficulties or problems; it was my brain!
I got the fodder sorted… with the podding of the peas as well; it took me over an hour-plus! Humph! And I have some to do for tomorrow yet. How I’m going to find time to do this blog, I don’t know… Tsk! As expected, I got sidetracked by the beautiful view from the balcony.

That was it… of out into the broad-walk balcony, Canon camera in hand, and had a battle getting the windows open at both ends, so I could take different views of the emerging sun from the rear of the tower blocks.
Interesting that out there, this view is Her Majesties Prison, Nottingham. The City Hospital, twelve murder locations (2021), and fourteen at least drug-growing homes. They were raided last year by the Nottingham Constabulary. The previous year. Jillie’s house and businesses galore. Apart from the TSB Bank, Faucet & Albatross Wines, three restaurants, three take always, a flower shop and a carpet shop. Also, a sub-Police Station, Second-hand furniture store, greengrocers and butchers; have all been closed down. Oh, and Jillie tells me that two new unwanted or needed take-aways have opened in the same shops that the earlier entrepreneurs went bankrupt. A new Charity shop is opening that’ll make eight in the half-mile length of Mansfield Road in Sherwood. Oh, and the new J Sainsbury local store that was being built where the Council closed the library, spent two years fitting out… have pulled out of the deal! I’m waffling, sorry.

I phoned Julie the Warden and told her about some strawberries and flower treats available; she said she’d pop up later. Still working on her own, I think, bless her.

At long last, I made a start on the blog. After a few hours, mostly sorting out the photographs to use, I realised I had not done any washing of my finely hones, muscular body yet.
Humph! I got the pod peas prepared for tomorrow… I was still in denial mode about it being Thursday.

I did another whole bag of the delightful and much-loved garden peas.
Got then them into the saucepan, as
from the door blasted ♫Oh, Susan♫. It was Warden Julie. Handed her the strawberries, roses and some drinkies. When I asked her if she could drop the other strawberries off for Francis: Oh, dearie me… She told me that Fran had taken a bad fall yesterday and was in the hospital, but she’d keep them in her fridge if Fran returned. I thanked her and went into worry mode when Julie had gone. Poor Francis! I hope it’s not severe. I’ll find out if she is in the City or QMC; if she’s in the QMC, I can visit her after having my cataracts done! At first, this thought cheered me a smidgeon. Then reality dawned; wot a clot! How can I go to see Fran when I won’t be able to see anything? Also, they have kindly arranged a lift both ways, so that puts the mocker on me seeing how she is going, too!

I’ll have to get a rush on; it’s almost midnight, so I need to rush from here on.

I hastened into the wet room, mind all aflutter, thinking of having some bread and butter? Chinwagging to myself, a constant mutter? Concentration going, but the ankle ulcer looked a treat; so much calmer and no pain whatever! Cut myself twice shaving, but they were very minor. The session went very quickly, although I took the time to have two toe-stubbings.
Got the belated Blood Pressure done. Fair results all around! The body temperature was also a good reading! No complaints whatsoever today. Apart from the brain’s stubborn, at a loss status.
I got back on the computer to work on this blog, only to find I couldn’t find the new set of subtitles I’d done yesterday on CorelDraw? So another plan and route to go, gone! In the extreme, more time is lost
.
Hours later, the Amazon delivery arrived, forgot all about it? Me? Yes! I’ll sort the photos of it later, sometime.

No, I’ll do it now.

Carer Valerie arrived; I showed her the new years supply of hemp capsules; I couldn’t read what was in them. Val had a look and told me Hemp and Omega 3, 6 & 9?
No, I’m not going to have time to finish this and post it! I’ll post the stand copied from Blogger
. Then in the morning, I can get the Ode created.
Have to get something to eat soon.

♫ Oh, Susana ♫ chimed out again; it was Josie, Bless her, bringing me the bananas to make up for the terrible, split-open mushy ones that Iceland delivered. How kind! I thanked her, took them into the kitchen and tried one straight away…

Oh, dear! These bananas, too, were bruised but not as bad as the others from Iceland were; they’d been split in transit. I opened another one to try again to satisfy my craving for an edible fruit… Look at the bottom photo, please. This one had brown-black pieces of… well, I’ve no idea what they were. I think they were given birth from the inside cause the inner part of the peel had traces of the same colour? Does anyone know why the bananas are affected in this way? Obviously, with the Iceland ones, it was just lousy packing and handling. But Josie bought these at the shop. Could it be the not weather? Or will it be put down as usual to the Mysteries of Woodthorpe Court, with the hobgoblins, spectres, gnomai, phantasms, ghosts, the grotesque succubae, extraterrestrials, ectoplasms, spirits? Or the Fata-Morganas, that have been sent to taunt, irritate and terminate my already limited saneness of mind?

I took a snap of the evening sky as I was prepping the late nosh. The first one had a different hue for a change, just after the sun had gone below the earth’s horizon.

Ten minutes later, I took the second picture. The rippled clouds were now showing. I seem to recall my neighbour Jack, who’d just arrived from Kingston with his family, telling me something about rippled clouds and what they portend. Tsk! But I need not have written that cause I’ve forgotten while typing it what it was they indicated…

I carried on cooking, and as I set out the food tray, the need for a wee-wee arose. I didn’t make it in time! Shucks! I had to strip and change into the night attire and put the trousers in the bucket to soak in disinfectant and liquid soap. I forgot to add this sort of occurrence in the Ode, so any whippersnappers can be reminded of what’s to come. And when it wants to. Hahaha!.

As I took this rather tasty-looking feast into the main (other) room, I gave myself a relatively superior toe-stubbing. I just smiled, laughed it off, didn’t swear or curse, and merrily continued to get settled.

Whippersnapper Advice in Ode

Medicines, tablets, injection and tincture…
Morning routine, you get the picture?
Bladder & bowels, things get murkier…
Definitely, much more messier!
Bleeding; things get nastier,
I don’t mean to be a minger…
Or even a panic-monger,
Whippersnappers must know of the danger,
Awaiting them, after they are a teenager,
Life will slow down; it gets drearier,
The disbeliever and the God-fearer,
We’ll all have to disappear…
Which can bring on fear…
But fret not, my dear…
Death can’t be as bad as living here!

Nemo Mortalium Omnibus Horis Sapit

Inchcock Today: Diary & Ode, Sunday 22nd May 2022

Ah, the future of mankind, or an individual punter…
I’m not bothered about myself neverthemore…
My only claim for fame is being an ambidexter!
What prospects are there for the uneducated poor?
They can’t get a job as lamplighter…
They’ve even closed HMP Dartmoor?
Today’s youth will become even boozier,

Price rises will stir more violence and rancour,
The future for proletariat ankle snappers is unsure,
Innocents will be scared to leave their own front door,
Putin, of course, can make a life but a blur…
The Government’ll be worried about expenditure…
It won’t matter if you’re an unclever, underachiever,
In the shelter under No.10, they can still party and decanter?

Hospitals, police gone, what the hell can the poor sods do?
How many have died could be Boris’s main issue…
But it won’t be, I can assure you,
The Stock Market they’ll review,
Sell, sell, sell, or whatever they do…
Claiming insurance on MPs destroyed homes, too…
Scared stiff MPs… what will the stock market do?

Weapon selling will get very little revenue…
Gunrunners flooded the market; it’s all ambrew!
In nuclear fall-out, we’ll all be sodden through,
Fear not of no toilet paper; worry about no loo!
In need of help? There’ll be no one to go to…
But no need to fret; I’m not trying to scare you…
Bur, what if there is no nuclear pas-de-deux?
Oh… I’ve just got a papercut in my pirclicue…

If Putin takes war off of the Moscow maniac’s to-do list…
The proletariats could go back to getting pissed…
Cause it’d be better not to die and go see a traumatologist,
Train for a job in music? What about as a bassoonist?
Or join a drug gang, and you could become the rowdiest?
If you get caught, tell the Police all, get it off yer chest!
Best spend drug money made on a barrister, honest!

Sunday, 22nd May 2022

05:454hrs: I woke up and passed the wind. Then I thought about having a wee-wee, but the need for the Porcelain Throne arrived suddenly. I had to gather my thoughts on getting out of the recliner and getting the balance exercises done in time to get to the wet room.

Which I managed without skipping any of the sequences of moves. Damned good session for once.

Then, I needed an extra weewee after the main event was over. Oh, dear, I rushed about to get back in and went a little heavy-handedly on getting to Little Inchie, and I started off the Fungal Lesion bleeding. I cleared and washed things after the leak and had the job of applying the ointment. All I can say is,

I was sorting out waste bags and making a brew when Valerie arrived. After she gave me the medications and went through some questions.

Instant panic overcame me: “Had I left the hot water tap running?” The short answer is ‘YES, I had!

Not only that, in my lunge at the faucet to turn it off, I knocked the cold mug of tea over… one would have expected it to go into the sink… but, oh, no… This is me we are talking about, remember. The luckiest man in Nottingham. The mug bounced in the tap flow onto the edge of the sink, pouring the contents left in it down the front of my pyjamas; I had to clean the cupboard door, sink, floor and my rotund body with cold water! Luckily I now have an ever-increasing mass of flesh all around my midriff, which I pushed up against the sink to stop the mug from falling further – Which meant my protection pants and jammies got the worst water!

Despite my lousy language and wailing, Carer Valerie was oblivious to what had happened. After cleaning things up, she came into the kitchen (She’s not daft!) Off she trotted, taking the waste bag with her for me.

The tap water is now running cold, and it will do so until the heating comes back early tonight! No shaving or owt until then. Humph! I do hate myself at times! Doreen Dementia does it. If ever I get interrupted doing anything, there is always a high risk of a Faux pas, and I forget what the other thing I was doing was… Grunglenagwaggles! I think?

I double-checked the taps, lights, etc., and got the potatoes into the crockpot. There was another Throne visit and two more weewees, and I started prepping things for Josie’s meal.

I got the pork out and added it to the bowl with the sliced onions, mushrooms and leeks. And spotted some string within the edges of the rind of the meat? So, as if I’d not lost enough time already, I had to check over all the meat to see if there was any more string. Good job that I checked it; I found another small piece. (Photo)

It took me ages with cataracts, and I found closing the right eye gave me a slightly better view… But of course, it warped the peripheral view, and I knocked the boning knife off of the counter. It now has its pointed end dented around into a sharp point. What are the odds of another Accifauxpas?

I was washing a basin I’d used, and the landline chimed out. I had to get the basin safe and rushed to get to the phone in time; it took a while. It was Sister Jane. She was in line at the City Ground to collect her ticket for the play-off final for Forest.

Now, this is proof, if the Doctor wants any, that I have Vascular Dementia Doreen: I suddenly thought I might have left the tap running (Cold Water) and excused myself to go and check. I had to, no choice. I grabbed metal Micky and off to the kitchen… The tap was dribbling, and for some reason, I thought it was the hot water tap, and also totally forgot about my leaving the hot water one on earlier, and thought… well, I’m not sure, but I think I told Jane, when I got back to the landline, the hot water tap has run cold? Every time something takes my attention away from what I’m doing, there is a possibility of such farces happening!

However, I didn’t realise this at the time, and we had a chinwag about footy, family etc., for a good while. Colin Cramps was kicking off in the left hand, the bent arm holding the phone for so long; Jane had the same problem, Fatal! Hehehe! Fatal! I foolishly took a swig of nearly cold tea using my right.

Listening to Jane talk, I grabbed some kitchen towels to try to wipe things up. I spilt some tea on the desktop and memory notepad. What the hell next? A little later, Jane rang off as her cramps were getting painful. Bless her.

I cleared up the mess that left some indecipherable scribble on the pad; oh, dear! At long last, I got around to getting the Health Checks done.

At least these results were outstanding all around. SIS 132, DIA 62, Pulse at 79. And the body temperature was the highest it’s been all year. Not that my mind appreciated it at the time. All I could think of was getting yesterday’s blog updated and sent off, let alone thinking of getting this one started! I took some snaps of the car park on Chestnut Way. No RVM? (Red Van Man) I had a look around…

Aha, I found RVM. Parked in the front section. And… parked legally and properly too!

Down below on the right end, I spotted the regularly good parkers, having snuggled their vehicle in nice and tidily!

I updated the Saturday post and got it posted off, much belatedly than planned. Even I didn’t expect so much hassle, Accifauxpas and Whoopsiedangleplop to emerge, even for a Sunday! Surely things have got to calm down? Fingers crossed.

Deciding to treat myself to a non-alcoholic, not a Cocktail, but Mocktail. I enjoyed it… until I remembered that it had pineapple in it. What a pillock! Hopefully, it will not affect the Warfarin INR level too much. I looked at the NHS DVT site about fruits to avoid when on Warfarin. In order of the highest in Vitamin K ones: Dates, Plantains, Kiwifruit, Rhubarb, Cranberries, Pineapple, Avocados, Blueberries, and Blackberries. They added; Certain drinks: Cranberry juice, and Alcohol, can increase the effect of Warfarin, leading to bleeding problems. Avoid or consume only teensy-weensy amounts of Cranberry juice and Alcohol. These drinks, when taking Warfarin, can prove fatal in the event of a bleed. Fair enough, I was aware of all of these.

Da-Daa! I hope she likes it again and that there are no more bits of string in the meat! I got Josie’s meal presented and delivered with a few treats and nibbles.

On the computer, WordPress Reader first. Then Facebooking. Finally, WP Comments. Then remembered to check on Amazon to see when the plates were due to arrive. The Amazon site said they were expected to arrive twixt 16:00 and 1800hrs. Fair enough!

They were: 25 Pcs Disposable Palm Leaf Plates – Organic Wooden Plates Biodegradable and Compostable Natural Eco-Friendly Square Party Plates 15×15 cm. I can’t say why I ordered them, but it seemed a good idea at the time. I think there was some specific use I had in mind? But with the mind being under the influence of Doreen’s Dementia, I don’t recall. Not that that is anything unusual. I like the idea of them being eco-friendly?

I pressed on with making this template, then got to record some actual facts and words. For the more discerning blogger to peruse, of course. Both of them! Hehe! The card reader accepted the photos taken today.

Then the plates arrived from Mr Amazon. By gum, they are so light! They have unevenness across the base. Which may cause me problems when moving or using them and the Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters, Shuddering Shoulder-Shirley, or Dizzy Dennis kick-off when I’m eating off them? I wish I could remember what it was about them; they must have sounded attractive when I ordered them?

I’m so behind with this blog now; the Evening Carer will be here soon. I was obviously not going to get a shower today or a meal until very late. But despite the hassle, I do love creating my Inchcock Today… Ah, that reminds me, I’d better go and check on the state of the fungal lesion. Back in a bit…

Carer Sarah arrived. Got me sorted, and we had a laugh and natter for a couple of minutes, which I enjoyed.

Worked on the blog, but I was so far behind. Weariness won the battle, and I got down to get some kip. It was late, about midnight, and I was doing my health, mental and eyes no good staying up this late.

At least when I got down, I was soon in the arms of Sweet Morpheus. But had a weird dream; that seemed to go on and on all night?

Inchcockski – Monday 27th July 2020: Toenails cut, but bad news followed! Nottingham City photos taken. Ah, well!

Monday 27th July 2020

Hungarian: 2020 Július 27, Hétfő

20:45hrs: Not the odd time here on the left? That’s because I did the Sunday post early, and continue with it into this blog. To save time today. Cunning eh? I think that’s what I mean?

18:30hrs: I got out of the £300, second-hand, rusty, decrepit, c1968 rickety recliner, and got the computer back on, to finish the Sunday blog, and got it sent off. Emailed the links, then on Facebooking catching-up.

Had a bash at doing some graphics up, on CorelDraw. Did a couple and sat down in the rickety, c1968 recliner, to have a mug of Extra Strong Assam tea, and some Branston Pickle flavoured cheddars… Fatal! But oh, so pleasurable! I nodded off into the land of Sweet Morpheus, and a few hours (it felt like), off constant dreaming. All memories of my past, younger days.

0455hrs, I woke up, almost in a panic! ‘Oh, what time is it ?’ – ‘I’ve not sorted the things out yet for podiatrist trip!’ –  ‘What needs doing fist?’ But the need for a wee-wee arrived; breaking my train of thought.

The urgency of the sudden liquid-evacuation meant I made a right Whoopsie, and got up, caught my balance and wandered over to the EOGPB (Emergency-Overnight-Grey-Plastic-Bucket) without taking the walking stick. I arrived at the bucket, okay but as I began to relieve myself of the RSP (Reluctant-Sprinkly-Painful) wee-wee, Shuddering -Shoulder-Shirley kicked-off! How I managed to keep hold of the grey bucket, was nothing short of a miracle! As soon as things stopped flowing, I put the bucket down, and without spilling anything (Very-Temporary-Smug-Mode-Adopted).

Just to guarantee me a terrible start to this already worrying day, Peripheral Neuropathy Paul launched one of his involuntary, no-control-over, right-leg Neuropathic Schuhplattler dances, and over I went. Backwards – but this was a good thing, for I fell onto the £300, second-hand recliner. Not only that, but I missed hitting both of chair-arms on my way down! I wish I’d got the camera in reach, as I lay there, watching the last few dying twitches and flutters of the leg. Within a minute, it had calmed down altogether (which is not rare).

But, the incident had triggered thoughts of insecurity within me. I began to fear and imagine terrible consequences ahead for me. Will I manage going out after so long? Will Paul give me any bother at the Podiatry Clinic? I’m already doubtful that they will cut my toenails for me? Will the trolley-walker fit in the taxi? Will the cab arrive on time? Will I be able to get my shoes on? On, and on, the worries flowed…

Fortunately, the need of the Porcelain Throne arrived then, with the usual request from the innards, stabbing pains and a little inner-rumblings. Without delay, I got the camera and four-pronged walking stick, and hobbled to the wet room, with a degree of alacrity.

Oh, dearie me! What a session it was! Good and bad luck involved. I only just got there in time, (but thankfully did!) before things started to painfully and slowly evacuated of there own accord, I had no control over this whatsoever. Masses of pongy, sticky, messy product. Bleeding as well. I shan’t go too far into this (although I may have already done so, sorry). The cleaning things up was a long job, and the washing and medicating stung a bit. Hehehe!

I took a shot of the painful uncut toenails, and wondered if they will be cut when I get back from the Health Centre? I hoped this would be the last photo of my Howard Hughes feet.

Another thing I noticed was how flipping pale I looked, really anaemic! This may be the thing that will prevent them from treating my feet and cutting the nails. I have a horrible feeling about this, today’s hassle to get out, is going to be a waste of time! Surely they cannot make me wait until November at the Sherwood Health Centre? If so, it will be over a week since, so I’ll have to book again, and obviously, the available date will probably be in December or January!

I got to the kitchenette and took a shot of the blue-tinged (or should that be blue-hued?) sky. Got the kettle on, and the Health Check gear out of the medical drawer.

The dang thermometer was playing up again, all I could get on the readout, was ‘Low’, no figures.

But the sphygmomanometer readings were perhaps the best for months. Which doesn’t fit with my skin and body mass being so pale and ghostly looking?

Computer Cameron on, and updated this blog.

Turned off everything, and checked the face mask, money for the taxi, bus pass to get home, socks and shoes (hopefully) to put on (for the first time in months) after the treatment, in the trolley. But I was not confident I’d checked everything. It’s been that long now since I’ve been out anywhere, I felt nervous at the thought now? Silly old sausage!

Then I got the ablutions sorted out, early, thus allowing myself extra-time to have another check after the ablutionalisationing, for things I’m sure I’d not remembered. A touch of anamesia there?

Off to the wet room. (Which still had the Porcelain Throne activities aroma lingering – Cor!) I had a stand-up, teggies, shave, and wash. I did the feet stood in the bowl. A couple of nicks shaving, and only three dropsies all together! I need some more razors, I’ll see if I can get some after the Clinic if it goes well.

I prepped four waste bags and took them to the waste-chute. It was a bit awkward getting through to the chute room, as the decorators were starting work on my floor.

The lobby is looking better already!

I returned to collect the big bag of recycling waste and departed again to take the stuff down to the caretaker’s room. As I was on the way down in the lift, the cage stopped on the 9th floor, and a contractor bloke nearly got on, until he saw me in there. Naughty! Using the tenant’s elevator when we can’t use their dedicated one? But, to be fair, I’ve seen no-end of tenants using the wrong lift! So, fairs, fair! Hahaha!

The weather was little wet this morning, and seemed to be getting worse? I dropped the bag off at the bin, and the caretakers said something to me, but I didn’t catch what it was. They weren’t scowling or glaring at me, so I assumed I’d done nothing wrong. Hehe! Gave them a smile, and returned to the lobby and back up the elevator.

As the lift door opened, I struggled to get through back to the flat. Took my time and carefully worked my way through, without any hassle. Into the flat, and checked on things, taps, lights, stove etcetera, in readiness for my departure.

I looked out of the balcony window, as I pondered on whether to risk brewing myself a mug of tea or not. In the end, I decided against having a drink. Better safe than sorry, especially with the current PMPD & PMAD dribbling problems, and my going out, as well!

The precipitation was getting more substantial, and things went suddenly very dark?

I reappraised my arrangements and what I’d got done in advance, worried that I may have missed something. Checked the jacket pockets for the bus pass, keys, taxi money, note from Jenny etc., and timed it to get down for the taxi with fifteen minutes to spare. As usual, being the fussbudget, worrier and doomster that I am, I rechecked the flat for the umpteenth time, before my leaving, but still in an uncertain frame of mind. I knew something ‘botheration-wise’ was going to take place, no doubt about that! I’m not a soothsayer, necromancer or Augur, it’s just my EQ (Not IQ), was telling me of foreboding news in the offing today, and he has never-ever wrong!

I got down to the ground floor and spotted that there had been a change of some sort in the Fire-Riser. But what is was, I couldn’t decipher. I’m losing it here, methinks?

I got to the front lobby and waited for the arrival of the DG cab. A black Hackney cab arrived five minutes before the DG on due, and I assumed it was for someone else. The driver came to me and asked if I was Gerry. He was for me. He was a lovely chap and helped me into the cab, and we soon at the Health Centre. He drove carefully en route. He dropped me off as close as it was possible to the entrance doors, bless him.

I paid him, thanked him and made my way into the clinic, as the rain started to come down heavier again.

I entered and followed the written advice on the advice on display, to use the hand sanitiser on entry. I made my way to the reception counter, and the young lady greeted me before I could speak with, ” Are you, Gerald Chambers?” – “Yes”, I said – ” Sit over there!” She said – “Thank you, I said. And sat over there. Hehehe!

Well early, of the appointment time, so I got the crossword book out. Moments later, a young lady came towards me, “Are you, Gerald Chambers?” “Yes!” “Follow me!” So, I did.

I could tell there was bad news coming. She went through a question and answer routine, and took the feets blood circulation test, with four blobs of jelly, two each foot. The disappointing news was given to me while she was cutting the toenails. There are new rules, and I don’t qualify for NHS nail-cutting, anymore, as my circulation in the feet is okay. I’ll have to use a private chiropodist in future.

I explained, that with the Coronavirus, maybe, I’ve had three podiatrists refuse to cut my toenails, last week. I told her how the Warden of the complex had rung them for me. This made no difference, the new rules have to be adhered to. (I expected something like this!) The lady gave me a place to ring or go to on the internet. Obviously, there are many other senile-sufferers in my position and agony with their feet.

Still, it’s not the ladies fault. She woman (in face mask and shield helmet, by the way, hiding a most appealing pretty face) did say I’d brought up a valid point, and she would mention this to her ‘boss’, but I was not to expect too much in the way of success. Haha!

I thanked her muchly and hobbled out into the rain. But I was not overly-disappointed at all. For I knew something was going to go wrong today, my good old EQ knew too!

I decided to have a walk into town in the drizzle. Apart from passing some characters that I knew were of a threatening nature, and made me weary, the hobble to the City Centre was enjoyed greatly. It’s been so long since I did this, it seemed a pleasure, especially as the toenails had been trimmed, and walking was so much less hassle now.

The going did get a little rough by the time I got to the end of St Ann’s Well Road, as the left side brakes of the three-wheeled-walker-guide, had now packed up altogether. Hey-ho!

Within half-an-hour I was on Upper Parliament Street. Crossing George Street, a git of a pavement cyclist almost got me! He plodded on uncaring up George Street, which like everywhere else, seemed most baron of tellurians, understandably.

I bought a packet of red and green seedless grapes from a stallholder. I’ll split this with Josie later. Then I can make sure she doesn’t wake me up to bring back the dinner tray and things again. I hope!

I passed the Wilko store, as a security guard was stopping folks going in without a face-mask on (Naughty!) I made my way into my beloved Poundland shop, and had a good look around, and selecting things I fancied.

When I got to the self-serve tills, I had a few dropsies and felt a right fool – which was guaranteed by Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley’s antics! I’d bought; A Pork Farms pork pie, Zoflora and a cheaper variety of disinfectants (3), lemon bleach (2), Bic razors, Individual milk pots, Lemon & cucumber scented air freshener (2), and a packet of 6 BBQ flavoured mini-cheddars. A lot of which got in the bag via a trip to the floor! (Thanks to Shirley! Huh!) I’ve never seen so few customers in the place!

I paid with cash, and the change also had a trip to the floor. Suddenly I had help arrive! But not all of the change monies were rescued. Humph!

Getting out and controlling the trolley was not an easy task, and my stopping to take photographs caused a few near-accifauxpas, as the brakes were so unreliable.

I made my way stutteringly to Milton Street and the Bargain Buys, previously known as the PoundStrechers. As I arrived, the heavens opened up! Just in time eh! Hahaha!

I consulted my shopping list I’d made for this shop. Pakistani Potato Cakes, 6 x small cans Garden Peas, Egg Mayonaisse, Woolite liquid soap, vegetable Oxo cubes, a lemon and a lime cooking juice, Zoflora lemon, and 3 chocolate almond. I realised I was going to have a heck of job carrying all of these, with the two baf=gs I had on the handlebars already. Oh, dearie me! As it happened I had no problems at all? They only had the Woolite and one pack of chocolate almonds on sale. Tsk!

This bothered me more than the podiatrist let-down! I paid the lady at the checkout and somewhat miserably made my way through Trinity Square.

Still, the rain almost stopped, and I had a great photographicalistical few moments, snapping all around where I stood in Trinity Square. Again, a lack of people! I limped down to Parliament Street and snapped the Frankie & Benny food store on the corner of King Street. Only three customers as I could see in there.

Then walked down towards the City centre, and back up Queen Street to find the times of the buses back home. This was the first time I’d had a choice of buses to make. The L9 was due in five minutes later, the 40 bus was fifteen minutes from arrival time. So, I trudged up the hill to the L9 stop. One other lady was waiting. The bus arrived, the driver got out for a fag, we waited, and then the uncommunicative pauciloquent driver, got on, managing to issue two words to the lady and me; one of them was Huh! Bless him! Probably in line for Driver of the Year?

I struggled to stay awake on the trip back, only one person boarded en route, making a total of three passengers!

I dismounted and ambled through the warm rain along Chestnut Walk, back to the flats. I thought of poping in the office and asking Riechsfuhreress and Catwalk Model Warden Deana if she would ring about the podiatrists for me. But I realised she would be on her nosh, so didn’t bother her, I’ll try again later on.

I got in the block of flats, spotting the updated list of working areas. Then had a bit of a wait to get the tenant’s elevator to get to me.

DeanaThen I noticed the time on the electronic display board. It was earlier than I thought it was, only 11:34 hrs.

I got up to the flats. Put the purchases away, and called at Josie’s with the grapes, and she gave me the tray back. Maybe this week, I can get to sleep and stay asleep! Fingers crossed, that Herbert is quieter.

Back to the flat, and planned some cooked beef cobs with extras (tomatoes, egg mayonnaise etc.) for the meal later.

Then got on with updating this post. In between satisfying unusual urges for mugs of tea?

The Vampire Nurse Hristina called, (lovely to hear a friendly voice) and told me she would be calling to do the blood test tomorrow, twixt 08:00 > 10:00hrs. Marvellous! I pressed on updating, despite Nicodemus’s neurotransmitters playing up and costing me a lot of time.

Great balls of fire! I’ve been at this blogging for over five-hours now! How time flies!

I like missing the toenail pains! Haha!

Better pack up and get the nosh sorted out. I did some part-baked cobs, buttered them and added sliced tomatoes and a slice of cooked beef to each one. On the disposable plate, sliced apple, some grapes, egg mayonnaise, and chicken thighs (Which were not eaten, eurgh!) Flavour rating 7/10.

Went to wash the pots, as the clouds turned threateningly dark suddenly.

After the long day, an enjoyable bit of exercise, the let-down over the podiatrist, and how worn out I felt, I hoped I would get to sleep easier tonight.

Not so! Humph!

Rainbow inspired photographicalised ode

5Fri05

On the computer, picking at my cold sore,
I drew the curtains, above is what I saw,
For beauty, one couldn’t ask for more,
I was gobsmacked, as I looked in awe!
Life wasn’t so complicated or obscure,
There was hope yet, I was sure,
I forgot all about my credit score!

5Fri007c

My zoochosis meant nothing, against this delight,
Magnificent colours and bending light,
Some pale, transparent, others being superbright,
I took in the gorgeousness, as well I might,
I forgot the hassle of Monday and yesternight.
I wanted to steal this inspiration, get the copyright!

5Fri12

How did the phenomenon occur, I lacked the insight,
It even beats the heavenly blue moonlight,
A plane flew by, lucky devils on that flight!
Not that I don’t love the days twilight,
What an incomparable, wonderful sight,
It’s even more desirable than toasted Marmite!

5Fri11

Rainbow, that’s an excellent euonym,
My self-control wandered, I felt grim,
Mind facts were substituted with skrim,
Dizzy Dennis was afoot, a thought-storm brewed!
For moments the brain froze, and logic stewed,
My head cleared, after a prayer and a hymn.

5Fri019

I no longer drink, or use tobacco,
Don’t play any instrument, no piano,
I do overeat and love a fresh tomato,
Eventually, semi logic I did re-bestow,
Thus ended this thought-storm fiasco!

5Fri03

No peace, no rest, from the unbalanced mind,
Sometimes from life’s hassle, I wish I could resign,
Oh, to find an existence that is gentle and kind,
Peacefulness, tranquillity, are so hard to find,
Even around here, with its lanes, tree-lined,
Why is life, so complicatedly designed?
Have I any right, to moan and whine?
The body and brain are both on the decline,
Red Dwarf’s on the box later, so never mind!

GM GreensLWD 0.50.0 2 02:10hrs: I woke with two voices talking to me, both apparently, mine? One said “Sod-it, go back to sleep,  soddum all!” the naughty me. The other, obviously a more conscientious me, said, “Don’t mess about, it takes you that long to get anything done nowadays, here is your chance to get caught up on your CorelDrawing, come on, gerrup!” The naughty me won this argument, and I drifted off back into slumberland!

4Thu16WD 0.50.0 2 05:00hrs: I’d been having a bad dream, where I was being chased by a gang of armed, vicious, blood-thirsty hoodlums again, through demolished offices, I sprang awake. Passed wind violently, and the innards started churning and rumbling, and a tummy-ache of Defcon Two proportions kicked in. My immediate thought, was, is this through those damned pork and leek sausages I ate last night? They looked almost white, the skin was three or four times the usual thickness for wienerwursts, I was a bit doubtful about eating them at the time. But I think not, cause they were very mild with a delicate taste of leeks, any pork flavour had done a bunk.

WD 0.50.0 2 I had no option other than to get my still aching from cleaning up the flood mess body, dragged off of the £300, second-hand, c1968 recliner, with some difficulty. Arthur Itis and Back-Pain-Brenda being the main culprits. Grabbed the stick, and wobbled to the wet room.

WD 0.50.0 2 And to think that I thought yesterday’s last visit was a painful one! This was a painful one! I almost tired myself out with all the agonising force needed to get things through. But at least, the bleeding was no worse, and not a messy evacuation.

Washed, and off to make a brew and take the medications. Toothache Terence wasn’t too bad for once, so no extra painkillers were taken… of course, I’ll probably get a Neuropathic Schuhplattler dance, Dizzy Dennis spell, or Shaking Shaun attack and injure myself later, and end up taking one anyway. (Depressed? Lack of Confidence? Anxiety? Insecurity? Self-doubt?, Self-loathing? Nervousness? Defeatism? Negativity? Pessimism? Demoralised? Despondent? Melancholia? Me? Yes!)

I took a couple of snaps of the view outside. The mist was clearing, I just wish the fog of depression would go away from me.

5Fri01

WD 0.50.0 2 On to the computer, and made a start on the updating of the Thursday post. It became a tad farcical, Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters were on and off, which meant it took me even longer than I expected. Saccades-Sandra kept making focussing difficult at times. But neither were consistent, they keep coming and going. This was getting to me today. Hours were lost in just correcting things done wrongly through the senseless fingers or Sandra’s blurring of vision. What with the floods that were my fault, the struggle to sort out food, not being considered at risk, so no food parcels, I fear that depression is coming over me again. Sickly, pathetic self-pity! Humph!

5Fri05I made the comments on WordPress and then went on the Reader Section.

My usual heart and enthusiasm were not with me. I didn’t, couldn’t, seem to snap out of it this morning.

I checked the emails, I can’t work out if the virus situation is getting easier or not. Confirmed cases seem to be getting fewer. But, of course, there are millions of people who have not had any checks yet, so, if they check fewer patients, the figure will go down? And the deaths recorded are only those who died in a hospital. The hundreds who have died in care homes or their own home are not registered. According to the Guardian newspaper anyway.

WD 0.50.0 2 Boy, I’m on a downer today!

I emailed the blog link and pressed on, stutteringly with this blog.

The landline tinkled and flashed. Sister Jane, who was out shopping, to get some eggs on Central Avenue in West Bridgford, rang me from the ‘Social Distance’ waiting queue! She said she was at number 18 on the list.

It really cheered me up a bundle, when I was informed that she and Pete had had there weekly freebie box of food delivered today. Fruits, canned goods, pasta, toilet rolls, vegetables, sauces, rice, cakes, bread etc., oh, I was pleased for them! I’m not complaining really (much!), I did get a loaf of bread and bottle of milk last week from the Nottingham City Council.

It seems I am not ill enough or do not have sufficient ailments for me to qualify as in need, for any food parcels. Nottingham County Council, give them out to fit people of the same age as me. Who are pools and lottery winners, have been left a fortune by unknown distant relatives, retired at 32, live in a mansion, on a tree-lined avenue, with a bus service at both ends of the road, car-owners as well! Luckily, this does not bother me.  Hehehe!

WD 0.50.0 2 Well, I might add something to the list of my ailments (Which are, Reflux Valve sticking, Mechanical Aorta Heart valve fitted, Duodenal ulcer, Hernia, Ever bleeding piles and awaiting a strangulation operation, Peripheral Neuropathy, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Ischemic stroke, given Clopidgrel in hospital and found to be allergic to it, but it’s in my bloodstream, and blotches, lumps on the ever-changing legs have to be contended with now. Dizzy spells every day, At risk for falls, Saccades, Thrombophlebitis, and Neurotransmitters dying (right side of my body) which makes walking and keeping balance very difficult. Deafness, Warfarin for life, Bladder cancer. And now Stuttering-Stephanie (along with the deafness) is making life and communicating a bloody nightmare at times!

WDP 02LcBut this list above is not enough to get a food parcel. I’ll see if I can catch something else to add to these and try again. Depressed? Me?

5Fri08I went to make a start on prepping for the meal later. I got some canned potatoes in the saucepan, (Took them out of the can first, mind) and added some hoisin sauce and hickory.

WD 0.50.0a 2 I emptied the beef in onion into the pan with the potatoes. Unfortunately, Nocodemus’s nerve ends failed while I was pouring in the hickory, the whole lot tipped into the saucepan! I spent the next hour or so, keeping nipping in to extract some gravy and add boiling water, to weaken the juice. Boy, it was intense! Hehe! Another mess to clear up. Tsk!

The mist had cleared. I took a photo of towards Nottingham. Then zoomed right in to try and get a decent shot of the high-rise student flats right in the distance (Near the centre of the panorama photo).

5Fri04

A lady Vapour was taking her three doggies for a walk. I tried to catch all three dogs with her in one shot, but the younger one was very lively. Hahaha! I did manage to get one chance.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Well, I wanted to do some more graphics, but Saccades and Nicodemus decided I shouldn’t.

5Fri33So I got the nosh sorted out. I had overdone it with spilling the hickory into the stew. I and to remove a lot of gravy and weaken it, before serving it up. But it was worth the effort, it tasted most delightful! The flavour rating was a worthy 8/10.

I got it all slowly masticated and digested, got the washing-up done (Slow job).

The door chime rang out, and I stumbled to the door. It was Robert. Our caretaker, he’d kindly brought me a bottle of bleach. I think I must have mentioned to him on Wednesday, about not being able to get any. Kind of him. I ignorantly did not offer to pay for the bleach, I was half-out of things with Dizzy Dennis having a go at me at the time. Sorry, Robert, and thanks. Saved the day for me there!

WD 0.50.0 2 Settled to watch some TV, got my head down a bit earlier today, in hopes of getting some sleep in for a change. (Oy vey!) The self-derogatory thought-Storming started almost straight away! On, and on they flowed. Eventually, and thankfully, I nodded off…

WD 0.50.0 2 The landline rang and flashed, I struggled to get to the phone in time. I was the nice lady from the NCC Support Team. But Stuttering Stephanie came online, and the worst visit ever, I could hardly get words out, and when I did, the poor lady could not decipher them. Then said, “You don’t sound too well, I’ll ring you back later another day.” I thanked her, but then again, I think I thanked her and seemed to find myself back down on the recliner, with a blank period in between talking and getting sat down.

WDP 1LcbSleep had decided it would not return again, I’d upset it I think with keeping getting up.

I spent hours, musing, thinking, Thought-Storming, and passing wind!

GM cap01WD 100.20.0 02:35hrs: As I stirred, thoughts of my pathetic, wretched, feeble amnesiac moment last night, and the ensuing flood, was grinding away at my brain and giving the stomach a taste of bile and acid.

I felt no self-pity for the physical pains I found myself in this morning, most of them were from the hours of cleaning up the bathroom, well, wetroom, and all the bending, the tumbles I took doing it, and all with the knowledge that it was, after all, my own fault! I hope and pray the person below has not got much of a mess.

WD 100.20.0 I fumbled out of the £300, second-hand, none-operational, rickety recliner, to the wet room for a wee. Discovering on the slow, careful, unbalanced hobbling to get there, on arrival, that boy, it was still a mess, after hours of doing my best to sort things out last night and into this morning. I had to set too again!

2Tue09

2Tue11WD 100.20.0 ac On near completion, I bent down to pick up the shower chair – and hit my cheek on edge of the lethal, cruel, cursed sock-glide, lurking ready to pounce on the seat! I quietly muttered a few oaths and curses!

Then I laughed gaily and started to sing ♫I’ve Got the Whole World in my Hands…♫ This is a factless-fiction, and a fib here, sorry!

Hahaha! I swear I heard mechanical laughter coming from somewhere! I was a walking example, (well, hobbling) of mental and physical inabilities and deformities.

I did resist grabbing hold of the glide and misshaping and twisting, contorting it, though. I realised I will need it later, the state Arthur Itis’s knees, Back-Pain-Brenda and the feet are in after all the bending down I’d just done, it would be an impossibility to get the hosiery on by hand, these knees, the back and Anne Gynas input would never let me. Oh, and I had to use Drain-Unblocker, two-bottles, get the last of the stagnant water, I’d missed last night to go down! Unblocker, all gone now, what chance of any being on sale for delivery?

Well, I’ve got sod-all done other than trying to correct my mega-Whoopsiedangle up to now. I considered having an antejentacular feast of some mini-cheddars. But as I regained a semi-perpendicular position, the humungous, wobbling stomach, plopped and bounced, and nearly had me over again! So, I desisted from picking at the Branston pickled nibbles. (A smidge of will-power there, did you see that?, Haha!)

2Tue10WD 100.20.0 I made up two more black bags of rubbish, and took them along with the five from yesterday, out and to the waste chute. Another Accifauxpas, after the struggle to carry the bags and walking stick to get there, I got in the room, okay but the first bag got trapped, stuck half-way. Trying to free the bloody free, I used the walking stick to reach to encourage it to disappear down the chute. As it plopped through, a smile nearly came on my face… but Peripheral Pete decided this would be an excellent time for him to activate the right leg, into a Neuropathic Schuhplattler dancing routine! Frogglemoths!

WD 100.20.0 ac Not having the stick, which was still stuck down the shaft at the time. As soon as the ten-second imitation of a cross between the Waltz and the Okey-Coky stopped, I fell in a heap on the floor. Serendipitously, all the other bags were on the deck, for me to land on! And without any pain much at all! Which thinking about it, meant that Nicodemus’s Neurotramitter nerve ends, were not on-line, else I would have felt something other than just a jolt. Of course, sometimes the message does get to the brain, but later, so I’m hoping for the best, but pleased about it at the time.

Getting back on my feet was not easy, nothing in the room other than the chute-poster lid was solid enough to be of use to me. But I retrieved the stick while still on the floor, and got myself perpendicularish, and loaded the rest of the bags, one by one. I actually felt a smidge proud as I hobbled back to the flat.

Back in the apartment, I realised how long I’d been up, and still not made astart on the blog updating! So, I took the medications, I left the antisepticating, creaming and oilings until ablution time. Once I got the computer going, the gang of Shuddering Shoulder Shirley, Shaking Shaun, Dizzy Dennis, Saccades Sandra, and Nicodemus were all kind to me, and progress was, for once, made with relative ease. Smug-Mode-Engaged!

2Tue01WD 100.20.0 Duodenal Donald, Reflux Roger, Anne Gyna, and Hernia Henry were all in an opposing frame of mind with me, and the pains flowed consistently. But, that is to be expected, with last night and this morning’s physical jerks with the flood damage limitationing. But straight pain, I can handle better than most, and work with it to a limit. The nerve-ends dying and unaccountable on-off mode, and the depressions that get to me more. So, I was pleased with how things went today, on the updating. Got it emailed, and sent off to the WordPress site.

2Tue02I thought I’d try again to get an Iceland order in. Nope, but I got one in last week after seeing these similar slot graphs, so I’ll have another go later.

Send bits to Pinterest, then on the TFZer site for a good while, well over an hour.

I called Jenny on the phone, to ask if it was alright for me to take the bits up for her and Frank, and leave then outside her door and ring the bell. I got the okay. She said she would leave a note for me, to give the taxi driver in the morning, in case Stuttering Stephanie was making things awkward for me. That’s kind of her, bless her cotton socks. I think she’ll like the stuff this time, and if not, there is no one better at making sure the fodder goes to a worthy cause, so either way someone will benefit who deserves it. She will let me know what time the taxi is due in the morning.

1Mon03I made a start on this blog, better late than never. But after an hour or so, I thought I’d try Iceland again, I really would like to get some more of their own label beefburgers back in stock they are not fatty and taste delicious! This is what they look like. so you know what to look for folks. Mind you, they may not have any in stock. And…

2Tue12By, Jiminy, I got a message telling me I am in a queue! Grrreat! A couple of minutes later, and I was and giving an order. I only had 30 minutes to get it done, so could not phone Jenny to ask if she wanted anything adding, mind you, I can do that later, I think.

Blimey, they had stuff on offer, 3 for so-much, but were not allowing any more than 2 to be bought! Bleach was limited to one bottle of the one brand they had in stock. They did have some of the beefburgers in – Tadaa! But they had gone up by 85p! Still, they are worth it. I ordered a new brand of chips, called by the name of, ‘Naturally Imperfect Chips’? They can cook oven to fried, and they are so cheap at £1, I tried one on the order. They did not have any full cream milk, though, but I’m sure I can manage. The cooked meats and other stuff was one only per order as well. I didn’t order any tomatoes, the last lot from Algeria were like red ball-bearings. So, I’m hoping it all arrives for me.

2Tue13I nipped down and dropped the bag off at Jenny’s. She’s left a printer typed note for me to hand to the driver, in case Stuttering Stephanie is bothering me.

As I was coming back up,  the lower right leg started to sting, and it felt like I had worms wriggling under the skin? I took a look, and it seemed to me that the Clopidorel effect was returning again. We’ll see if the veins start bursting again. If its the spider or iliac veins, nowt to fret much over. But, it will be another story if Varicose-Veins-Victor’s bleed. Still, no need to panic, even if whatever it is, is tingling and tender at the moment.

I put tomorrows Iceland order on the Google calendar, they will be arriving twixt midday and 14:00hrs tomorrow. So, I should hopefully be back from the bank in plenty of time.

2Tue14It’s getting very late now, but I need to make some graphics for tomorrows template. I had a quick bash at the WP comments, made a brew, then got on with some graphicationalising.

As I stood up, Back-Pain-Brenda and Anne Gyna, joined moments later by Duodenal Donald in giving me some stick. As I grabbed the stick and started to hobble into the kitchen, the tingling in the right lower leg, turned to proper-pain. I don’t like to brag, but my guess looked like being right for once. The spider and iliac veins were coming through. Plenty of other ailments to guess at for this. Colin Cramps, Clopidogrel Clive, maybe Peripheral Pete.

What next? and my Doctor and Nottingham City homes don’t think I’m an at-risk old man? I’ve flooded the place and my poor neighbours below, too! I’m in agony, bleeding from various orifices and the veins… Never mind. I’ve the bonus of having Jenny keeping an eye on me and helping.2Tue15

Duodenal Donald was taking control, and I gave up thinking about CorelDrawing when Nicododemus’s nerve-ends started going on strike again. Ah, that’ll be it then. The message about the tumble earlier, must have just got through to the brain?

But not to worry, I’m not at risk. I’d better get the lesion cleaned up and medicated.

2Tue16I’m a lot betterer off than the poor mites in a 54-bed nursing home in Nottinghamshire, who have had 9 patients die from Corona-19, in the last four days! (Nottingham Post)

I’ll get something to eat then. Canned chilli con carne, haricot beans, added tomato juice and 2Tue21some Hickory.

Lemon Vienesse cakes, apple, and a can of the delicious Clementine drink. Flavour: 7/10

Yet again, sleep was reluctant to come to me. The mixed Thought Storms lasted longer than ever.

GM07RWD 0.0.128A wd 0.0.128 04:00hrs (The latest getting up time for months): I stirred and waited for the brain to catch me up. Which it failed to do in time apparently. Cause as I began to manipulate my grossly overweight-stomached body from the recliner, ‘Thud-thud’, I ended up on my knees! Fell off of the c1968, rickety recliner, knocking the swivel chair over to the cabinet as I did so. Which sent the nibble pots off of the arm and rolling all over the floor. The knees were stinging, caught my head against the other chair arm as I twisted in a vain effort to stop myself going down, and a few selected naughty words were silently muttered! (I hope they were silent, anyway) I crawled on all fours to gather the nibble-pots, the yoghourt coated cashew nuts thankfully, didn’t burst open! Phew!

I tackled the job of struggling to get back up, in an almost nonchalantly, blasé, laid-back manner, and I was seated back in the recliner again within a minute or two! Yes, I know, it surprised and shook me too!) I stayed there to receive a brain-storm for a few moments. Not the usual self-recrimination, hatred, and confusion this time. I merely accepted the incident, felt thankful that it was not worse, and got the taste for a mug of tea! (Honestly!)

4Thu01When I got in the kitchen, I spotted the moon was out again. But, being so much later than yesterday, it was more distant and further to my left.

I tried my best to get the lights below in the shot I took. I took me about five efforts, this was the only decent one out of them all!

I found a certain degree of, well, almost confidence creeping in this morning as I made the brew. I was singing to myself and whistling in between? I’d coped with the earlier Whoopsiedangleplop and Accifauxpas with no bother. I was feeling upbeat, and this worried me a tad!

My EQ told me that things were going to get hectic. No reasons or outcomes. Just things were going to get frantic, and soon! A shudder went through my body, and I foolishly ignored this warning and carried on singing to myself, as I took the medications, and took the tea with me to the computer. I did feel what must have been close to contentment and relaxed with it! This is not natural for me!

4Thu05My first job was to make up the template for today’s blog, which took a long time. Thanks to Shaking-Shoulder-Shirley and Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters going off and on-line at will. Got it done, and checked online for the virus figures. Not very good.

Then looked at the Emails, and sure enough, an Iceland order was arriving today, twixt 15>1700hrs!

I decided to get the ablutions done next, as with my getting to a semi-live state, so late, it was now gone eight! (No charge for the poetry. Hehe!). I put a long-sleeved t-shirt and pair of socks to soak while I got the shave and stand-up wash. Off to the wet room.

4Thu03WD 0.0.128A As I got in the doorway, the need for the Porcelain Throne arrived, it couldn’t have come at a better time! But it was again a start-stop operation.

Which let me have another go at the crossword puzzle solving. I got a few as well!

WD 0.0.128A When things started moving again, just like yesterday, it was ‘Klunk’ and all over and done with. Apart from the cleaning up, of course. No medicating, not with me about to have the stand-up wash and shave. The doing of the teeth, ave just one dropsy, the toothpaste. No cut gums this morning. The shaving was a little more accident-prone, though. Dropsies included: Shaving foam can (2), razors (6), and the after-shave bottle that I was using to stop the (3) cuts bleeding. However, no toe stubbings, and the sock-glide, I laughed at! (I didn’t put any socks on, Hehehe!) Most of the dropsies were caused me Nicodemus’s failing nerve ends.

Medicated the areas in need, olive-oiled the ear holes, Saccades sprayed the eyes, got the Brute and deodorant applied. One blessing here was that Little Inchies fungal lesion had only bled a tiny bit. Ah, nice!

4Thu04But I still felt in a perky mood! I dried off and got dressed, all bar the socks, and went to get the handwashing done, wrung and hung. For some reason, the ones I did yesterday still needed more drying time?

WD 0.0.128A You can see in this photograph, the diamond strengthed leakage from the air-vent, that the Nottingham City Homes maintenance man left me with on the wall years ago now. And it ran down and hardened all over the electrical socket! It still pees me off when I see it every day.

4Thu15I got the black bags sorted, replaced the bags in the waste-baskets (4), and took the full ones to the waste chute.

I spotted the new to me, but it would be, my not having been out for so long, a sign asking for only one person in the lift cage at any time.

When I returned to the apartment, I thought I make another brew, and try to drink it this time. I took another Co-codamol that a mystery resident had so kindly given me, to counter the toothache I felt coming on again.

4Thu10a

4Thu16There are plenty of aircraft/jets out today. How do they keep to social-spacing in them, then?

Back to the computer, I’ll get the thing started eventually, Humph!

WD 0.0.128A ♫ I only want to be with you ♫ rang out again. Looks like my EQ was right, doesn’t it?

It was Riechsfhúreress and Catwalk Model Warden Deana. She was handing out Easter Eggs from the Nottingham City Homes, for everyone. Bless em!

4Thu19dWD 0.0.128A I got back to the computer, and sat a moment, wondering if using it would bring another interruption. Just as the now even more familiar, ♫ I only want to be with you ♫ rang out again. It was caretaker Robert, with a big bottle of milk and a loaf of bread for me! I thanked him muchly for the loaf and explained that I have plenty of milk in at the moment. Slipped him a G & T in thanks.

WD 0.0.128A Back to the computer, I typed maybe five words, and the landline flashed and rang-out! It was a chap, this time from the Ingeus Diabetic course runners. He went through all what the lady did yesterday. Nothing really sank in, the line was that bad and with my hearing, Tsk!

WD 0.0.128A At last, I made a start on this blog. For about five minutes, and the landline flashed again!!! It was the man from Direct Help. I explained that is was a fortnight ago when I spoke with the lady, and things have improved since. As I have got through for an Iceland order delivered since! With the help of Jenny, I have some stuff arriving Sunday, I think, that will hopefully fill the fridge and freezer up. So there is no requirement for help now, there was three weeks ago, but no one called as expected. So, I should be fine for a while. I told him of my five-week wait for the Morrison order, that’s due a week on Sunday! He told me to ring him back in a fortnight if I needed any help with shopping then. I asked him for the telephone number. He seemed surprised that I didn’t have it on my phone. He gave it to me, anyway.

4Thu19EWD 0.0.128A On the computer, once more. And the intercom flashed! It was the Iceland delivery that I can’t remember ordering!

WD 0.0.128A Now, my friendly, warm, upbeat mood was changing.

WD 0.0.128A I got yesterday’s blog sent off, and made yet another attempt as doing this update. Guess what? The landline lit up and sounded again!

It was the cat-walk model and Warden Oberstgruppenfhúreress Deana. She had some questions that needed answering for Nottingham City Homes. I don’t know how the ILC’s (Independent Living Coordinators) are managing with all the extra duties and hassle they have to put up with, Bless em all! I got myself very confused, and being so tired again, things weren’t sinking in, well they were, but not staying in the memory bank!

WD 0.0.128A I got back to the computing, and the dreaded, feared, damp, and warm sensation spreading about in the lower regions was sensed! Botherations and blasticulisations! Little Inchies fungal lesion was bleeding! So, off to the wet room again, for cleaning and medicationalising.4Thu14

The task was more manageable and less painful than I expected, for it had not dried on, much less hassle! I had a wash afterwards and noticed that the old ankle scar looked like it wanted to return again. (Dangwangling, Dangwangles!)

I gave the hands another really weep clean. So much so, the yare getting all wrinkly again. Tsk!

4Thu13

And, how can I get some more carbolic soap? It was hard enough to get before the lock-down and self-imprisonment! (Gribbledockends!)

I went to make a brew, and I noticed a man and his dog down on the bottom field. It was different, and funny this time!

4Thu19c

The man threw something, a ball I imagine, but this dog was not having it at all! The hound plopped itself down on the grass, with no intention of moving! Hahaha! The chap could not get the animal to move at all. He got his mobile out and made a call. I wondered if he was walking the dog for someone, and calling for advice? A few possible funny scenarios went through my head.

WD 0.0.128A Then, ♫ I only want to be with you ♫ rang out from the door, again. Unbelievable! It was a delivery man, I didn’t see him of course. But there was mail been delivered, and a box on the floor.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

The reading of a letter, pretend signed, by Boris, while the poor bloke is suffering in the intensive-care ward, was a strange thing. To me, anyway. Good and bad news from the blood results. Good, in that with it being Bank Holiday, they always leave the next test for longer. This time, it is not until the 21st of April. Which means, my Blood Vampire Angels will not be seen until then! Sob, Ululations, & Woe is me!

Finally, I got this post done as far as here. It only took me fourteen hours, as well. Humph!

At last, I got the Iceland order looked at properly. Their offer of two boxes of Gold corn flakes at £1 off for two, I had apparently taken advantage off. I vaguely recall thinking that if Jenny didn’t want them, she would know of someone who would, Nora perhaps? I gathered the things and bagged them, then called Jenny, to tell her I would drop the bag off at her apartment, in a few minutes. Which I did. It felt odd, after such a long time, to use the lift again, almost scary! Haha! If Jenny does not want anything in the bag at all, it won’t matter, cause I know she’ll soon have some worthy person to give the milk, Cereals etc. to, who deserves a bit of help.

4Thu19gBack up to my flat, didn’t anyone out in the building at all going either way. It felt so eerie, and reminded me of my recurrent dream of being chased and shot at in a crumbling building, by gangs of unpleasant persons.

I took a picture of a panorama shot of the scene 4Thu19foutside.

A man and his dog, sensibly kept their distance from the two young girls in the bottom field, as it looked like they were asking for directions.

I’m feeling weary now, but the toothache is no worse, the coughing has eased, and my mood was getting back to a good one.

Fodder decision time now. I chose to have bacon sarnies. Mainly to use some of the crap, watery, tasteless bacon I’d got! Tsk! I might have a tin of tomatoes with it instead, then use the bread to dunk with. Or something else? Hahaha!

I’ll be back in the morning to finish this blog off, I hope.

I’m back!

4Thu24I ended up making Halloumi cheese sticks and bacon in the same oven tray. I made up bacon sandwiches, caramelised chutney, an apple and some lemon Vienna cakes. And a can of the delightfully tangy Clementine juice.

The halloumi was okay, and the bacon was much better than yesterday’s offering. This is because I took Tim Price’s advice and poured the hickory over the bacon as it cooked, and as a result, it tasted a lot better. Flavour rating: 7/10.

WD 0.0.128A I didn’t even get to do the washing up, I fell asleep with the tray on my knee. I woke hours later, with the tray on the floor and my humungous body half out of the recliner.

I thought about picking up the dish, plate and crumbs… Zzzz!

GM06 L01:30hrs: The Saccades-Sandra affected eyes opened, the body teased and tested for signs of which other ailments might be bothersome this morning, and I awaited the brain to join me. It slowly engaged gear, and the Thought Storm that came with it, had me fretting, worrying and trying to make sense of the emotions, mainly taciturnity, self-hate and criticisms. Then, I had a few moments of uhtceare fretting, over just about everything that it was possible to vex about. They were soon lost to the ether, as the sudden urgent need for a wee-wee joined in the mind-confusion.

WDP 10R03RWD 255.0.255 I struggled and grappled my way free of the £300, second-hand, c1968, broken-down, rickety recliner, and up onto my plates-of-meat. So quickly, I caught my balance, then limped to the GPWWB (Grey-Plastic-Wee-Wee-Bucket). There I stood, without the stick, thinking things were about to burst forth… but no! Things were resistant to flow! Had I been nearer the bookshelves, I think I could have read War and Peace all the way through, before anything activity in the wee-wee stakes had started!

If Shaking Shaun, Dizzy Dennis or Shoulder-Shaking-Sandra had attacked at this time, I could have been in a right mess! One hand against the wall, the other holding the bucket, imagine the pickle I would have been in if an involuntary right-leg Schuhplattler Dance routine had come on!

WDP 10R02LWD 255.0.255 As for the actual wee-weeing, after waiting so long for some sort of activity, it was of the discomforting WUP (Weak-Unwilling-Painful) mode. By the time it had decided to stop dripping, I was almost ready to get back down in the recliner for a rest, to recover! Hehehe! This did nothing to encourage me to get going.

Still, things had to be done. I hope I explain this bit clearly, cause my silly actions even made me smile.

WDP 2aWD 255.0.255 I got the four-prong walking stick and decided to get the emergency bucket cleaned and refreshed, straight away. I went to the wet room to carry out this task – and realised I had not taken the bucket with me. Back to the front room, and picked up the bucket, but had a Nicodemus Neurotransmitters failure, so waited a few moments for it to die down before trying to carry the bucket, for apparent reasons. I carefully turned on the computer while waiting, which convinced me that the nerve-ends were working again, so back to the wet room… Huh! I’d left the bucket behind still! I’d actually taken the waste bin back with me! Oofta! What a meshugener, I am!

6Sat05I got it right on the third attempt. Tsk! Then, in between several more slow hurtful WUP wee-wees, I took my medications, made a brew, and took some pictures of the moon smiling at me, from the dark sky.

Next, back to the computer. Where I had to create a template for this blog first and then started updating yesterday’s post.

By gad, that cost me a lot of time, several hours. Five wee-wees, that have now transubstantiated into an SSD (Short-Sensationless-Dribbling) style. At least the pain had dissipated.

Then off to the Porcelain Throne. The easiest and least painful for weeks it was! Bleeding yes, but the main concern was having to tip jug after jug of water down after flushing, as the system was not coping with it.

I returned to the computer, with a new mug of Morrison’s Extra Strong Assam tea, made en route. I put some bits on Pinterest. Then a long time on the TFZer Facebooking page. The WordPress Reader was caught up with.

I put the washing to soak in the bowl. Then it was time for the ablution battle. (Well, the sock-glide battle) For today, with having (prospectively anyway), some visitors from the Golden Volunteers calling, and if they do call, I wanted to look half-decent for them. Who knows, there might be a lady who falls for me, and desires my… Steady Inchcock! You’re losing it again!

I put the computer in sleep-mode, gathered the items and clothing needed, and off to the wetroom.

I’m back, and you might not believe it, but the ablutions dropsies count, was two! Amazing! Nothing walked into or banged, no shelves cleared. Extraordinary! No Dizzy Dennis, Shaking Shaun, or Shoulder-Shuddering -Shirley. Phenomenal!

WDP3eLWD 255.0.255 Sadly, the same cannot be said of the parlous, fraught with danger, high-risk, terrorising, suicidal, blood-covered, finger-bruising. black-spot, blood-blister giving, losing confrontation with Sock-Glide! Eventually, I got the first sock on. But, I was so battered, I had to give up, and tried putting on the right sock in the traditional way… Huh!

WDP 02lbWD 255.0.255A Over I went, and now I have a twisted right patella and a new bruise on the left elbow. To make things really teeth-grinding and extra-vexing, I had to do battle with the Sock-Glide again! This time, I got the second sock on! Cleaned up and medicated the injuries. Applied the pile cream, oiled the ear-holes, cream Little Inchies lesion, and got the PPs on, and used the sprays to freshen up. I left the wet room with a tick in my eye, and a nervous twitch on my lips!

And I was so proud of getting the ablutions done with so few Accifauxpas and dropsies, too! If by chance, the Golden Volunteers do not call today, and I’ve gone through all this for no reason, I might cry!

6Sat05aBlack bags (8) taken to the waste chute. I got in a fumble getting into the chute room with all the bags and stick, but did it injury-free!

Back to the flat, and got the handwashing done, wrung and hung. Only the jammie-bottoms, I did the shirt last night.

WD 255.0.255 I went to get this post updated. But the picture gallery would not open for me? Woe is me! Alas, alack, and Sigh! If it was Liberty-Global Virgin Media Internet going slow or down again, or the impossible unfunctional WordPress playing up, I don’t know, but I was pee’d off with it! I had to give up and I tried to get some urgently needed graphics done on CorelDraw. But the computer was very slow, and I had to give up.

I got the mushrooms in the saucepan. Put a can (in date) of cheapo Asda chilli-con-carne and the last of the Piccalo tomatoes in there, too. The hickory is almost gone, so I just added a drop, and a can of tomato puree, that Jenny had kindly given me. I washed the crock-pot and did some imitation cleaning of the kitchen for a while, then as I was going to check on the saucepan of chilli, the landline rang.

My hearing ion this connection was not good, but I think I caught the drift alright. It was a volunteer Golden lady, about the help. I told her the prescriptions were sorted by Deana. Also, I would manage over the weekend with the nosh Jenny has got for me and explained that I still need money so I can pay the lady for her help. She suggested that I call 0155 960 209 Thompson Bro. store, not cheap, and limited choice, but they can deliver. I explained about my hearing problem, she knew that, by the number of times I had to ask her to repeat things, I reckon, bless her. She asked if anyone can phone for me, but a negative answer had to be given. She said she’ll ring them, to ask if they can take my card because I’m broke for cash. I told her of my owing money for the first time as I can remember, and asked if she had any ideas. She’ll ring back. I thanked her, and then…

WDPrightWD 255.0.255 Then a touch of panic hit me… Argh! the saucepan! I hastened to the kitchen, honestly expecting the worst, but all was okay! I’d not turned the stove on at the plug! That got me going for a few moments, I can tell yer!

Take your choice, am I a dimwit, fool, idiot, blunder-brain or plain pillock? No, don’t answer that! Tsk!

The kind lady rang back, she could not get through to the shop. She confirmed that I would be alright until Monday, when someone else will ring me, regarding a possible food parcel being arranged, and shopping advice. I think that was it anyway. Stuttering Stephanie paid a visit for both calls on the phone! So, I had made the shopping list as commanded to, but it was redundant. I did make her laugh though when I told her I was getting withdrawal symptoms for my smoked bacon! Hehehe!

I’m more confused than ever now, and poor Jenny is out of pocket for helping me out!

I put the computer back on to record these facts while I thought about it with a modicum of certainty. Well, a minimal degree of certainty.

Tired and well on the way to going brain-dead now. I’ll get the nosh done.I checked the saucepan and thought the contents needed a little longer, as the mushrooms were not fully cooked.

I spotted another tellurian and his dog down on the bottom field outside. I took two snaps of them, well five or six really, but only these below were any good to use.

6Sat10

Cheered me a little, just watching them. Especially the dog’s resistance to letting go of the ball. Haha!

6Sat12I got the meal sorted out. It looked a little threadbare compared to how one would usually look for me. No fresh orange juice, no lemon yoghourt or mousse, Tsk! Still, I mustn’t complain, bet there are lots of folks worse off than I am. The mushrooms I would not have had was it not for Jenny’s help. The can of chilli-con-carne, and last of the tasty Piccolo tomatoes, all seasoned with, balsamic vinegar (¼ of a bottle left), Light Soy sauce (half a bottle left), and some beef gravy powder (Two tins and a bit, left), tasted more than fine top me. I had the last three slices of bread thins with it. I’ve got a sourdough part-baked baguette for tomorrow, so no problems there.

I think we have been spoilt, with all the choices we have available, normally or as we used to have, I should say.

I ate it all up, taste-rating of 6/10 granted. Haha! Got the things washed-up. The crock-pot and saucepan were difficult to get cleaned for some reason?

Then I went again, to check to see if the ear-wax remover parts had been left on the lobby outside the door. Nope! However, a two-sided A4 letter had been put through the door.

6Sat11

WDP 13LSad, how I’ve ended up. Even making sense of these guidelines had me a tad confused. To think. I used to manage Tesco and Co-op stores all those years ago. Piteous, it is. Hoggledruids!

I reflected on an error while typing earlier, I typed crack-pot by mistake for crock-pot. Mmm? It seemed to fit the bill, betterer!

The damned Thought-Storms started after I got down in the £300, second-hand, uncomfortable, best-its-best, c1968 rickety recliner. My emotions were in turmoil. Self-critical and hating, loathsome fears and concerns and a total lack of confidence stirred in and out of the brain-box for ages. My owing money weighed heavily on my mind.

TTFN folks, sorry it’s been a bit gloomy.

GM DbrownL01:00hrs: I woketh up, and soon realised, the moment I straightened the legs to move, that Rheumatoid Arthur Itis was back with a vengeance! Still, he has been very kind to me lately, now it’s payback time! The need for a wee-wee encouraged me to put up with the pain and remove my over-heavily stomach-burdened body from the second-hand, c1968 recliner. The GPWWB (Grey-Plastic-Wee-Wee-Bucket) was utilised, for a ferocious, vindicative HDTBS (Heavy-Duty-Torrential-But-Short) wee-wee. Again, oddly, stomach pains started after the release?

wd 60.25.0 2 T’was then that I felt the wet warm trickling on my leg! Little Inchies fungal lesion was bleeding again, but not too much. A cleaning up and medicationalisationing session was carried out in the wet room. It took some time, and was a tad painful, but had to be done. At least the flow was stopped with relative ease this time. Other bonuses were no toe stubbings, walking into doors or walls, knocking anything over, or visits from Shaking Shaun or Dizzy Dennis were suffered.

I didn’t feel too bad at all, even with Arthur Itis’s attention, and then Duodenal Donald joining in. How can I describe it for best? I seemed more resilient and determined not to get depressed or feel sorry for myself this morning. How or why I was in this new-found la-la state of mind, remains a mystery. I anticipate things will change later.

4Thu01Off to the kitchen, and got the kettle on. I took a blind shot of Chestnut Walk below. It had to be blind, thanks to the new kitchen windows fitted in the upgrading of the flats. That the Coronavirus has now put a stop to. The thick-framed, rain-letting in, light & view-blocking windows, with the ledge that sticks out too far 4Thu02for me to see what is below, Fire engines etc. or see anything to photograph without using the step-ladders, which usually ends up with an Accifauxpas and personal injury! But, still, it came out alright.

I got the computer on and made some comment replies. Then got on with beginning this blog template, as far as here. During which, the rataplan of rumbling from the innards started, at the same time as the horrendously loud ‘Hum’ increased in volume as well! There’s no peace here!

I then made a start on updating the wearisome Wednesday blog. I don’t think I meant wearisome? Ah, a belated call to the Porcelain Throne, so off to the wet room.

wd 60.25.0 2 Well, that was an odd session. It needed a little pushing, and the plop-plopping started, stopped, then it started again. The room, (Possibly the whole flat) filled with a distinctively evil-smelling, mephitic aroma that I could still smell hours later! There was no mess at all, the nugget-shaped evacuation cleared away first pull of the chain. Minimal bleeding from the rear-end and Little Inchies fungal lesion was not leaking at all? I felt a smidge light-headed when I rose from the Throne, a good job I had the four-pronged stick with me. The fragrance seemed to follow me out and into the kitchen. I wondered if the out of use-by-dated meat I ate, might be a cause of this?

I did some more updating, then poddled to the kitchen to start the vegetable preparing and get them into the crock-pot.

4Thu06

I think I got carried away somewhat and made too much! Mushrooms, leeks, red onion and parsnips went in the pot (All my thanks to Jenny, who got them for me ♥). I added some gravy granules, hickory and light soy sauce. No salt needed with the Soy going in. I put it in Auto setting, which brings it the boil, then goes on to the low setting.

wd 60.25.0 2 Blimey, toothache just came on without any signs or warnings. So bad, I tried to ring the surgery to get booked in – Closed due to Coronavirus! Ah, well! Now I’ll need some extra painkillers. But as I’m not allowed to get out to get cash or shopping in, how to get the Co-codamol is another unsolvable problem for me to contend with. I’ve a supply of paracetamol, but they are not very strong. A bit like me. Hahaha!

3Wed14wd 60.25.0 2 I then tried to get an order from Iceland. But, no! I’d hoped doing it earlier in the day might help, but no!

wd 60.25.0 2 Then I tried for an Ocado one. Unbelievable! The site let me get all excited and make an order up, it took me a while, but I seemed to be going to get some things that I am out off. I was going to ring Jenny and ask if she wanted anything, that way I could pay with the card and settle what I owe her, Great! But no, I pressed the button to carry on, thinking I could add anything later that Jenny might need, and the No Slots Available sign came up! What a Con! Botherations and blasticulisations! Swine!

It cost me no end of time as well! ‘Do they think I’ve got nothing else to do, nowhere to go, no one to visit… Come think of it, I haven’t! Hahaha!

wd 60.25.0 2 At the moment I got started on preparing the meal, the mind engaged one of its involuntary-unplanned ‘Panic Modes’. It does this now and then. Although it’s been a few months since the last time. This crushed my confidence and willpower. I tried the usual tricks to indurate my mind, and free the tension and worry. It was so discountenancing and ignominious. I can’t truly remember much of the following hours.

4Thu10Not even taking this photo of the fodder, nor eating it. So, I have no taste rating or comments to make on what it was like. And, how come I took such a decent photo if I was not in control of the brain-box at the time?

I started to return jitteringly, back to my semi-normal state, as I woke up. So I must have fallen asleep in the recliner?

I found the kitchen tops all clean, and for me, tidy. The pots washed. And several hours had passed since having the meal. What took place in between shall remain a mystery.

I decided to get the hand-washing done, and then get a much needed, long-overdue ablutionising session done. But I was questioning everything I did with myself as I went along? The fretting continued in the background. But I was somehow, a little chuffed with myself for deciding to get the handwashing done. Maybe to give me something to concentrate on that was not too complexed, and block out the worrying?

wd 60.25.0 2 Huh! The best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry – as in this case! There was no hot water! I was not sure if the element had gone again, or I had left the tap running during my ‘blank-spell’. I still can’t find Jenny’s phone number, so Emailed and asked her if her (hot water) had gone off. She kindly emailed back that it was alright in her and Franks apartment. I decided not to worry, but phoned warden Deana just to inform her, got a Not-Available message.

So, no hand-washing, shave, teggies done or showering for me. I changed my plans and got back down in the recliner to watch some TV… and did as well. The earlier kip made getting to sleep properly impossible. I kept dosing for a few minutes and waking up repeatedly.

I think the phone flashed and rang. Unless I dreamt it had? Cause there are no recollections of who it was, or what about? I sensed that other stuff happened, but blown if I can recall what.

When I got off to sleep properly, I think I slept uninterrupted for over six hours! Which was good!
