Worra Day!
Afraid these events are out of sync chronologically. You’ll notice the part-shaved moustache. This is on here because… Wait for it!… Today, Carer Chris learnt how to access the Kodak Tim memory for me. He transferred the ‘lost’ photos to the SD card! So, some old/new Kodak Tim pictures will be added to the blog over the next few days. This is the first one. I took it as I was in mid-shaving cause I thought it was funny. Not bad for a selfie. As I recall, I got the dressing gown on to fetch Kodak Tim and took this snap without the SD card in it. So it was a while ago cause the memory had been packed for weeks. Hehehe!

The District Nurse arrived, doing a great job with the ankle and leg. Compression bandages (I think she put them on) help to stop the oedema fluid from flowing freely from your legs. She also warned me that they would get tight and may cause too much pain for Burnt Ulcer Ulrich and/or Lymphorrhea Leslie’s Leaking Leg. I was to ring them if it starts leaking through. The Nurse or another one will call on Tuesday to check things out. I was appreciative and well pleased with her care for me.

I was disappointed with getting the five cuts while shaving, but the good stuff far outweighed that. And I’ve not mentioned the late Accifauxpas yet. I’ll tell you later. A delivery of nibbles has just arrived, along with Carer Joanne bringing in a letter from the bank; that’s one for Carer Kara there.

05:00 hrs, I stirred. I got the night pouch detached, then bounded out of the bed, doing a double flip as I leapt over the c1966, £300 Oxfam charity shop bought, second-hand, wincingly grotty, beige-coloured, crumb-covered from my nocturnal nibblings, itch-making, uncomfortable, positively unhealthy & dangerous, no longer operational, virus-breeding, easy-to-fall-out-of, Catheter-tube-trapping, recliner, and disome toe-touches and press-ups… You’re not believing this, are you? I don’t blame you! I’ll start again…

05:00 hrs, I stirred. I got the night pouch detached. Then, I fumbled painfully out of bed, resistantly, uneagerly, slowly, and due to the need for the Porcelain Throne, thus, under compulsion of necessity. En route to the Porcelain Throne, I gleaned that both and her fellow ailment , were both building up to give me some terrible torture today. I was not wrong, as I discovered later. I on the wetroom door edge, going in. Then, the great wait began!
I had a go at the crossword book long enough to realise I would not get any further with this puzzle, so I moved to start another one. I couldn’t even get a start on this page. So, I counted the cracks on the wet room ceiling, 23 today, but I can’t be sure about the state of my eyesight. The painful part-extruding concrete torpedo seemed to have stopped, and I did not show any response to my frantic physical urging it to move on. I had another go at the original crossword and solved some clues. I may have discovered a way to do better with the daily crossword efforts; I seem to get a few when I’m in pain? Gobsmackingly and slowly, the motion moved, with minimal bleeding, considering the almost cube-shaped concrete lumps that had evacuated.
I only had a quick wash because the blog was calling to remind me how far behind I was on yesterday’s issue.

I took these three blotchy Kodak Tim photos of the morning view to the left, then the right, and ahead, but not in that order.

Then, I continued trying to catch up with the blogging.

Her persistent attention annoyed me, and the cartilages wanted to give way each time I moved, which was not very often

Sorted out the three waste bags into one.

I got two potatoes out, intending to cook them early today. But my plans were scuppered when I forgot about the Nurse coming to do the leg and ankle today.
I got on with blogging, but it was a difficult time. Mind blanks, eyesight making things more demanding, and a couple of Seizures had me in the right state, confused!
I nipped to the kitchenette a few times to break the frustrations.

I took these three wonderful cloud views over maybe the next three hours. Very close and warm today.

I had a bag of seaweed crisps; they were tasty but costly.
I’m back blogging and feeling a little better.

I meandered into the wet room to get my belated ablutions tended to. I got the shaving done (2 tiny cuts) and a Body wash. I couldn’t have a shower with the leg being wrapped up.
It was the Midwife—no, I meant the District Nurse. I snapped the leg as it looked just before she got here. She saw me in the wet room and went to do someone else in the flats while I finished the medicationings and got some pants on. I thought that was a good idea.
I recall that the Nurse had been a lovely, well-built piece of the NHS—Haha! A lovely lady. As she was midway through sorting the leg out, Carers Chris and Ayu arrived. We all seemed to have a laugh and most pleasing chinwag as the Nurse did the job for me. Bless her.

Chris took a photo of the newly designed and tended-to leg and ankle and helped me get into the slippers.
The bleeding, spouting, bruised legs now have a ‘cap’ on the ulcer and lesion burn and a swath of padded compression bandages. Much more comfortable than the plaster pad thing was. This soon altered! And with

just haven’t stopped stinging at me. These ailments ruined my sleep again; I spent more time awake than asleep overnight

Here are some of the recovered snaps that Carer  Chris accessed for me.
These were from yesterday, I think. Carer Chris crept in while I was preparing the meal, cunningly grabbed Kodak and snapped all these shots of the flat’s chef (me, Haha!).
He got a little carried away when he was taking them.

He caught me well, as he took them without a flash, and I didn’t notice he was here. Thanks to Cataract Katie, Glaucoma Gladys, Deaf-Duncan, and Peripheral Neuropathy Pete, I was oblivious to Chris even being in the flat. I didn’t half-jump when I finally noticed him. Ha-ha!
Chris’s smug smile and laughter were worth seeing as he roared, ‘I Gotcha!’ He did, too! Chris said I looked like someone doing a brain operation and was concentrating hard as I sliced the potatoes and added them.
The above shows the resulting 8/10-rated meal. I was so in pain and tired I made do with baked spuds and vegan sausages. This is a retrieved snap from the Kodak Tim memory. I think it was Tuesday’s or Wednesday’s meal.

, with to give me terrible hassle overnight pain-wise. I had to use two walking sticks in the morning, temporarily.

WOT A MESSY, GET NOTHING DONE DAY!
A quick rundown. You know me and quick, so it might not turn out that way. It was horrible today! But it didn’t start that way
05:00hrs: I woke reluctantly and waited for the to stop stinging me. A few minutes later, I edged my blubber-bellied body from the bed, cautiously started to do the balance exercises, and forgot I’d got hanging from Little Inchy, the tube and Catheter pouch on. Forgetting that took some skill on my behalf cause a moment earlier, I’d thrown it on the floor as I eased myself onto my feet. It has a very long tube. Then I trod on the bag, wobbled and . I got the nocturnal pouch removed and emptied, then made up the waste bags into one and left it near the door in the hallway. I took this early morning view on the left from the kitchenette window and decided I’d get a stand-up wash and shave. Which seemed to be going well, apart from when getting my feet in the bowl of water (it was too early to use the shower, as it can easily wake up the neighbours below), And stubbed the same toe for a second time on the raised seat leg on the throne. Got the shaving done in a fashion, teeth then I felt the need to utilise the . Yet another messy, misshapen, long, streaky bacon-shaped,  session.
I decided not to get the fresh PPs on yet and got back on the computer to start blogging again. He mentioned I was limping more than usual, so I told him of my morning so far, including the toe stubbings. He did larf! As I was boring him with my tales of woe, he was texting on his mobile, and I felt a little dampness in my groin. I got some kitchen towels and wiped the suspect area. When Carer Christopher left laughingly, I went back to the wet room and cleaned up and remedied things in need of it. Took another snap of the view from the same place earlier. Brightening up a bit now.
The new mouse started playing up. I tried various things to find out what the trouble was, but no matter what I tried, I couldn’t. I wiggled the sender plug, put in a new battery, and then tried another mouse, all to no avail.
Fed up, I took these shots of the oh-so-blue sky, with beautiful light clouds forming.
When I got back to the computer, the mouse was working??? I’d got many items being delivered this morning, from Amazon. Then I checked the emails, and Amazon told me the Cat Mouse Mat had been delivered. I found it in the letterbox after farting about searching for ages. I took this shot on the right through the balcony windows, and then I checked the tracker for the other mats ordered. Sod me, it said they had been delivered. Another search around was fruitless. (Well, it would be; they are made of rubber, Hehehe!).
My big fear was that Amazon had either left it down in the ground-floor foyer or maybe delivered it to the wrong block of flats, both of which they have done in the past.
I had to put on some pants and hobbled to the lift to go down to the foyer to see if it was there. En route, I met Carer Chris, who came down with me to have a look. There was nothing there!
I returned to the flat, and another email had come in, telling me the DPD company had delivered the Amazon parcel! What next could I do? Then, I spotted an update button on the email and pressed it. Up came proof of delivery from the company. A photo of the parcel being shoved through  ‘Your letterbox!’ I espied the cock-up that had been made. It was not my flat number on the door. It was someone on the floor, above the number 76! So, I went back out again and went up to number 76. There was a sign on the door asking people to be patient after knocking, as the resident was disabled. So I knocked and waited for a few minutes, then gave up and returned to the flat. I pondered what to do or try next, and the door chime chimed!
A gentleman from flat 76 found the packages and brought them down for me. That was so kind of him
Then the final delivery arrived from Amazon: a big box of Depend Protection Pants and a contraption I hope will let me use the new cheap camera’s mini-SD card. The highlight of this farrago was getting the first item delivered, the Cat-Mouse-Mat, out of the envelope and trying it out. I think that my cyber-mates Tim and Doug, both cat lovers, would have liked one of these mini mouse mats. Nowt special, it’s just the picture of the kitten that appealed to me. Can I get your addresses and I can order them for Amazon to deliver one to each of your homes? Go on, let me! The mouse seemed much better to use when on the Cat-Mat. Hehe! I got the Nurses & Carers treat shelved filled up. There’s a great choice for them now. I might try one of the grapefruit & pineapple. And pure grapefruit ones myself tonight.
I’ve got some cordials to add flavour to my Bladder-Needing spring and soda waters: cherry, orange, lemon, and pineapple.
Tons of choice in the cupboards, fridge and freezer to go at and pick from. Mind you, I’m broke now after getting the fodder and needs from Amazon, Tsk!
Carer Victor arrived to perform his teatime medicationings. Had a little laugh. Gawd, my stubbed twice ingrowing toenail hurts!
The blotches on the snap of the sun lowering really annoy me, but these things can’t be helped. It’s a bit like Putin, really.
Hehehe!
I finally finished and sent off yesterday’s blog and started on this one. It’s late now; I’m so tired after the complicated, problem-ridden day! Carer Victor did the last call.
A Food Craving bout dawns!

But first, the evening’s earlier photos. I thought these were almost perfect specimens for me to do some of my beloved pareidoliaing.
I found a few worms, a dragon, and faces and more than a few noses in them.
Well, it gave me something to do while nipping in to check the cooking of the food every few minutes and test for readiness to feast.
I took a lot of care in getting the Vegan sausages cooked. This time, I felt I needed to give them a little longer in the oven, and it paid off nicely. I tried putting a splash of mushroom ketchup in the tomatoes instead of salt, but I’ll not bother next time.
The sunset picture taken from the kitchen window while I washed the dishes sadly had even more blotches on it than usual. I’ll try to see if Amazon has anything that may clean them off, although possibly they are inside the camera.
I could not help but try to doctor the Kitten-Mouse-Mad to make it look as it appeared to my eyes.
I love it!

Sorry for the missing regulars today. It was not a good day mentally, frustratingly, Whoopsiedangleplopwise, or medically.
In the midst of trying to sort out so many things that had gone wrong, I’d done incorrectly or failed. Several seizures visited me throughout the afternoon. These, I would have thought, would give me a break or rest of sorts. But, no. I was drained mentally and physically, earlier than ever in the day. I’ve got scribbled notes for the first few hours, so there is some gossip to tell. Hehe!
I imagine that last night’s tumbles played a part in the day’s struggles and tribulations today.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Jolly good colouring.

The burn scab had lost a few bits.

The ablutions seemed to go well, but of course no showering yet, too early in the day. The noise from the drain may bother my fellow oldies and cost them sleep.

Made up some waste bags for collection.
Carer Chris arrived. Guesstimation here. No, it was Caregiver Richard. His foot was still playing him up.

Made a brew of Glengettie tea and got the computer on. I was already well behind and about to get worse. This is when the ‘Out-of-its’ started off.

Notepad scribble consulted: Not that I could read much of it. Did I really write that small? I must be mad. A lot of it was illegible.
The fonts on the computer had changed on all MS programmes. The Helvetica font was now changed to Arial on all the MS sights… or even sites. Yet I could use it on CorelDraw? I lost hours searching for help with the problem. All seemed hopeful until I tried to follow the instructions, as with all four sites’ advice; the task got more complicated than it got me into dangerous ground of changing options, and what they suggested was not on the page they’d led me to. Afternoon, Carer Marie arrived and saw me, I carried on searching and trying things not too technical to solve the problem. I even uploaded different fonts Google said were very similar to Arial. Ha! Not on MS, they weren’t! They all changed as soon as I tried to use them. I’ve got hundreds of unwanted fonts now taking up valuable memory. Tried to delete them and found for various reasons, I was told if I delete this font, things will not appear the same on work done? Summat like that, repeatedly! I gave up altogether and did no more work on this blog until now, Tuesday AM, 07:00hrs.
I started to concentrate on CorelDraw, and it froze! I turned off the computer really early in the afternoon.

Frustrated!
But over time, I did get to take some photos of the sky & clouds from the kitchen window.
First two.
The blotches back on the camera lens.
I cleaned them, we’ll see on the next ones.
I can’t tell if the blotches were there or not.
Ah, yes, this time I saw them.
I’ll try cleaning the lens again.

Had an early meal.
Ham sandwiches and chips. I forgot about the tomatoes. Tsk! A pot of ketchup with pickles to dip the sandwiches in. Hehehe! Mandarins in an orange jelly dessert pot. Nice!

Carer Chris called for the last two visits.

I fell asleep in the itch-creating, bruise-giving, catheter-tube-tugging, crumb-decorated from my nocturnal nibbling, God-awfully uncomfortable, cringingly grotty, no longer working, dirty beige, anti-sleep designed, c1966, second-hand bought for £300 ten years ago from the charity shop, recliner.
But I was waking up every few minutes. There were no tonight at all.
Talk about broken sleep! It was instead of the ankle shocks, it was to blame. It was purgatory waking up so often, then chewing over the put-downs and mocking coming from within my poor brain.

It was another rush to get things sorted out before the earlier lift arrived to take me to the Riverside Diabetes Course. Carer Maryham helped me; she came as I was washing myself. She put on the socks and shoes and made sure I was leaving the flat in a safe condition. She even helped me into the overcoat. How kind. Bless her.
Actually, this morning in Bulwell, I went to two shops. The meeting went quicker than usual, so I plodded down the road to the Heron Food Store and then to the B&M shop. I’ll write about the events in those chronologically later. (Good stuff, not bad!)
Here we go…

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Up, in a rush, catheter pouch off took this snap of the blue morning.

Waste bags sorted.

Off to the wet room.
Porcelain Throne duties took me a long time to force out. Four chunky pale green torpedoes eventually clonked and splashed into the water closet.
Then I started to get the ablutions done.

The tune indicated the arrival of the morning carer. It was Carer Maryham. And she really looked after me this call. She assisted me with the ablutions, put the diabetic socks on my legs, and helped me put on the trousers and shoes. Then, I checked the flat thoroughly to make sure everything was honky-dory. Taps, doors, and cooker. She even reminded me to take the keys with me. Bless her cotton socks.
Minutes later, I was out of the flat, locked the door, and entered the 13th-floor lift foyer. I went in and out of the lift and took this snap to the left, the way I was to go. Then, I took the second picture to the right, in the opposite direction. That leads to the connecting swipecard door passageway into Winwood Heights, the centre block of flats. I timed it well, the eta for the lift being 10 minutes later. I got seated in the main lobby opposite the clock and had a go at the crossword. The bus came spot-on at 08:15hrs.

I planned to take some photographs as we pulled away, but I only managed this one. Why? I’ll tell you.
The agony I was going through from the Catheter tube tugging at Little Inchie! I imagine that with going out yesterday as well, the Fungal Lesion had had enough of being tugged and pushed. Hehehe!
I was in such pain that I spent the whole journey trying to get into a more comfortable position.
The chap dropped me of at the front door of the Riverside premises. I thanked him, gave him a treat, and attended the session. I may not bother going again. I could not see the graphs or hear what the chap was saying. Humph!
I left early, meandered into Bulwell Market, and called in the Heron Store. Where I was looked after again! I like this..
. a lot. First, when I went to get some cash out of the machine thingy, ATM, I think it’s called, I could not recall how to put the card in, just like a few weeks ago. I did feel a clot, so I asked one of the assistants to help me. Yet she was very calm and sorted me out. The really fantastic thing is I remembered the 4-digits! Smug-Mode Engaged, temporarily, at least.
I spotted some great-value instant potato pots. I could just about reach them, and I did… But I dropped all three, which fell at an assistant’s feet on the floor! Kindly, she said, if you struggle to get anything, just ask, and we’ll get it for you. All this strange being nice to Inchy was worrying me now. Haha!
When paying for the goods, I bought a bag, and the lady packed it with the purchases for me!

I thanked them and hobbled down to the B&M Store.
They had some pork ball franks, as opposed to the usual sausage shape, and at a fantastic price. 75p each, two jars for a quid! Having them tonight with beans, potatoes and sauce. I struggled to get them off the high gondola end, and a lady came and got them for me. More Joy! I thanked her profusely. Got some bird food to feed the dickies on the River Lean on the way back to get the lift. I turned to look back and took this snap of the pigeons still nibbling away.
As I returned to the centre, the Easy-Lift bus had just arrived. This was another thing that went right for me; it’s nerve-wracking, you know! No, really, I’m just not used to it.
I got the Kodak Tim camera out ready as I got in the seat and took shots all the way home, depicting the Nottingham area. Here they are
Leaving the car park.
Leaving Bulwell.
Highbury Vale.
Bilborough.
Redhill.
Behind the City Hospital.
Mansfield Road Sherwood one.
Mansfield Road Sherwood two.
Turning up Winchester Street Hill.
Winchester Street Hill.
The flats, partly in view.
Turning onto Chestnut Walk.
And the flats.
The driver had a treat in thanks, and I felt Little Inchies fungal lesion was bleeding again.

I got inside, took the lift to my floor, and entered the flat without seeing a soul. I already began to feel jaded and tired.
Got the bags off of three-wheeled Theresa. Emptied the catheter bag. Washed and Treated Little Inchie, then back to the bags
The pork ball jars, potato pots, batteries, pork pie, carer and nurse treats, as well as cans of pop and two more Passion Fruit Martinis, sound good; I hope they like them.
Nibble treats, disinfectant and cooked beef slices.
Nice and cheap, too!
A good example is when I emptied the day catheter into the urine depository jug. Did you notice the change in colour in the bag now, compared to this morning’s, which I forgot to empty out? It’s a better colour now.

As time passed, I was getting increasingly tired. Carer Helen came and took a few old and new treats.

Then, on with this blog. There was a lot to do and a meal to prepare in between. The time flew, and Carer Chris arrived. We had some nibbles and a drinkie.
I took photos of the sky throughout the evening.

No idea of the timing.
Plenty of faces and animals in the clouds.
Semolina pudding? Haha!
Got some beans in the saucepan.
Illusionable snap?
A Pareidolianist Delight!

Carer Christopher returned the laundry for me.

I prepped and ate the football-shaped sausages with a can of BBQ beans and added Mediterranean vegetable sauce. A Lemon Curd yoghourt to follow.
Not bad at all.

Came. Took off the socks, and asked how the appointments went. Painkillers given & Peptac.
She checked the pouch, and I told her about the pains from Little Inchie, probably brought on by the exercise I’d been doing going out and about. I enjoyed it; Little Inchie didn’t. Haha! Kara left a night pouch handy for me to put on.

I checked before getting my head down, and I got this, very late, it seemed to me, a shot of the day’s final appearance of the sun.

Cheers!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
I coped reasonably well with getting up early, getting the ablution done, getting dressed with the trousers on, and being on time for the lift to the Doctor’s surgery with the caregiver’s help.
I was lifted back to the flats, and from then on, I got more tired progressively for the rest of the day. Drained, weary, done for. The day’s memory is muddled. Maybe the injections affected me? The photos helped a little, but things will be missing or out of order/sync.
Fell asleep on and off ever since getting back from the surgery. Memory blanks, possibly a few NE seizures in there. Slept too long and had to rush to do this in the morning. Many of the regular things missing, no time. Worries me a bit cause I’ve got to go out again today. At the doctor, an appointment has been made for a Hospital visit on Monday next for X-rays; I have not mentioned details cause I’ve likely got them muddled up. Not feeling too good at all, I’ll have to rush to get the time to get ready for today’s lift.

Scary red urine!

View.

Leaving the flat, down to wait for the lift.

I have a doctor’s appointment for an examination of the knees and ankles. I have an appointment at the hospital on Monday. The receptionist arranged a lift for me there. Barrier cream and something else was added to my prescription list and sent to the chemist, and I need carers to collect them for me.

Lift home photos.
Surgery car park.
Arriving at flats.

In the foyer

A hazy blur once I got into the flat.
I think the receptionist from Sherington Park rang to confirm the lift for Monday and the timing. I found it on the calendar this morning, but I have no memory of putting it on there at all. Scribbled notes, the odd one I could read. Carer Chris came first, and then as I got home, Carer Kara changed the catheter pouch and checked for appointments, I think.

Wearier and wearier, I made a meal.

I Fell asleep and couldn’t concentrate on blogging at the time; so tired and confused.

Carer Kimberly woke me.
I fell asleep again…
The last Carer woke me.
Fell asleep – and did not wake for about five hours.
Had to get up to do this update straight away.

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

A short blog, as I anticipate tomorrow due to the diabetic session, will have to be… and Mondays with the hospital appointment.

Several times today, I experienced moments of quietism, almost mysticism, involving quiet contemplation. On another day, I may have called them mind-blanks or PN Seizures. But not today! I think I enjoyed them. Not that I am aware of what they contained, but it is a sensation of, well, a degree of self-satisfaction and a rare understanding of things. No, I never felt an understanding of things before!
Of course, I can’t recall what they were. Tsk!
Hopefully, these little mental gems I write may help someone working in psychiatry, occupational therapy, Community Mental Health, or counselling glean whatever I’m waffling on about. They may kindly inform me of their findings afterwards. It would
be nice to know why I wrote them in the first place.
A plea for help, mayhap?

04:10hrs: The nocturnal catheter colour was much improved. Also, was much less than it has been.

A terrible photo of the morning view.

Mostly liquid sludge!

The right leg was looking good again. Of course, were hitting me throughout the day, but nothing as bad as they were when I was supposed to be sleeping. Every one of them woke me up (well, they would, I guess), but I soon nodded off again, awaiting the next one to arrive. The pain from them only lasted for a couple of seconds.

Carer arrived as I was starting to update the blog. Back to the blogging, photographs being uploaded from the … and…
The Pictures folder suddenly went into full-screen mode! I imagine I hit the wrong combination on the keyboard. () But there were no resize buttons on the tabs, and the arrows to resize were not working either. What a mess I got into trying to sort it out. I asked Google, copied down the procedure given, and followed it. Of course, it didn’t work.
I thought I must have copied it wrongly, so I tried again. The problem was that when I went to the picture window, it blocked out all the advice on the Google page! I checked the procedure and wrote it down more clearly. Then I tried again. No Luck!
I went back to Google and searched for other advice there. Many were too technical for me to understand.
I found one. To get to the list, I had to press the F button, scroll down to Size, and press Enter. Size was the first item on the list, but it was not highlighted, so I couldn’t get into it to follow the rest of the advice.
Then, I tried stab-in-the-dark procedures. I had no idea what I was doing, so I turned off the computer and restarted it, hoping things would be back to normal when rebooted. No! Oh, No, no, no!
I often wish that one could turn off life and reboot it to see if the body and mind might have reset themselves to default mode! Hehehe!
The flaming picture window opened in full mode again. Then, I realised that it was not in full mode before because, this time, it filled the screen entirely, thus revealing the bottom left option of closing the ‘Hide Folders’ button. I pressed it, and the screen became a smidgen smaller, allowing the bottom right seize arrow to be accessed—WUNDERBAR! I spent the rest of the day a bag of nerves in case I repeated the wrong key combination and did it again. The ticking eye and twitching of the lower lip started!
I was a b
ag of nerves!
So, another two hours plus was lost!

I went to make a brew of Glengettie, and the colouration of the lunchtime view was terrific.
Straight ahead.
Then, I took a shot of the Cannabis-Growers road.

As I returned to make the brew. And the state of the kitchen floor brought forth shame and guilt!
Flash Speed Mop utilised.
They are crap!
Mind you, they did pick up some of the dirt.
Hahaha!

Gorgeous afternoon clouds

Found this attached to an email.
What is it, please?

As it got a little later, I just couldn’t resist taking more snaps of the clouds.

I made a nosh, took a photo of it, got settled, and ate it. What happened to the photo that was not on the SD card is a mystery. Nothing new there!

I was well into the land of nod and without any of the awakenings, being kind to me! And left me alone, too. But the Carer came in to wake me instead. Hahaha! I was not compos-mentis and forgot to ask him to remove the socks and attach the nocturnal catheter pouch. I found out in the morning that I had very dark urine and an overflowing bag, and with the socks on, the shocks from both ankles kept waking me up. Humph!

The sky looked like it had been painted.
Bootiful!

.
The mudslide at the end of the car park.

Even I got this one. Haha!

What a magnificent view!

The came, and I got up and had a walk about; they lessen when so this.

Three last shots as the sunset fell.
Farewell!

05:40hrs: I rose in a cheery, gay, happy mood. Possibly a   Ahem!
I could hardly believe the dark colour of the Catheter night pouch contents—I was in shock, really. I took another shot of it when emptying the night bag.
Of course, at the time, I didn’t realise that much bigger shocks were awaiting me later on, today! Yes.

I took this picture of the early morning view from the kitchenette window.
At least it wasn’t foggy… yet! Only my brain was foggy.
I was off to the wet room for a wash and visit to the. There was another change in styles: from two days of  being in control, now was ruling things. Mega-smelly, almost watery, it squirted out more than flowed! It took me ages to get the place, and my body cleaned up! Tsk.
Since arriving in the wet room, I’d had three or four of the .
Seeing the state of the ankles, was no surprise.
may need putting back on again, if things get any worse and the lesions burst open. Won’t please the Carers.

The Asda driver rang me on the mobile phone with a connection as normal, but it was so bad that he might as well have been talking to me in Outer Mongolian, for all I understood. I assumed he could not gain access and told him I’d come down to him straight away. Big Mistake!
I got and left the flat to find that both of the lifts were out-of-action!
.
I looked down between the fire escape stairs… It looked and was daunting. 24 flights of stairs to get down. I automatically set off, with great difficulty and pains from , and . I really must have been mad, to think I could get down all that way and then back up again. However, thought I could. I couldn’t, of course.

I managed to get down to the sixth floor and started going back up again. This was when I heard the noises below me. The heroic, saving-the-day driver was on his way up; I could hear him going up a flight of stairs with two of the three boxes, back down and getting the third, then repeating the exercise for each of the 24 flights of stairs. I continued climbing back up, and the driver caught me up; I was struggling so much to get back to my floor. The ankles had swollen and also  was bleeding. The driver was pouring sweat, but he stayed calm and patient with me. As we got to the flat, arrived.
Between them they got the food into bags and took them into the kitchen for me. It was a big order as well.
I sent a thank-you note to Asda later in the day for the driver’s kind, beyond-the-call-of-duty actions. He deserves recognition.
Did the medicationalisationings. I took this shot of the well-tired Asda driver leaving.
Then, an Iceland order arrived! Which I was certain I’d ordered for next Tuesday? I may need more help here!
kindly put the bags in the hallway for me, ready for me to tackle later. Thanks,  Shaquille!

Then, I set about sorting out the Asda Delivery. This is going to be a long job. There is much stuff to sort out and store away. I made a start…
The spring waters and cordials were put on the floor next to the Water Alarm Sounder thingamabob on the floor. Something else to trip over.

Shloer drinkies for treats and thankyous for the Caregivers and nurses who tend to me. Soda water and spring water for the daily Catheter filling routines. A bottle of Mushroom sauce and Tomato Ketchup with pickle. Lastly, sterilised milk.
Some reet-treats for myself in this photographicalisation on the left. Vici Surimi sticks Sweet & delicate). Jamaican Lamb patties. (Tasty!) Asda Crisp & Golden Potato Rostis (Not bad at all when done until burnt a bit). But nice!

Some favourites in this one! Brown sliced baguettes! Ready meals, Cumberland Pie, Minced beef hotpot. Texas beef chunks, an all-day breakfast, and a newly discovered gem. mini caramelised sausages!

Then I moved on to the Iceland delivery storage. Far less to work with.
Curry & Barbeque baked beans, mushrooms, sugarless biscuits, batteries AA & AAA. Treats drinkie, and some ready-made coffees for the Carers who like them.

Made up and took the waste bags to the rubbish shoot in the 12th-floor main lobby.
Noticing the lifts had been repaired as I passed by them en route.
I managed to trap my hand, well finger,  in the cast iron closure drawer without any effort or input. No cursing, swearing, or spitting, just an Argh!

Back in the detention cell. I mean the  apartment, I avoided a calamity and  with seconds to spare, got it emptied just in time!
The colour was a lot healthier looking now than first thing. I got on with the blog finalisationings at long last. Worra, day! It’s well into PM now!

The mist had been around all day once it had fallen. Too busy to notice what time it fell. More like November weather, really.

Slurp, gobble!

Took ages to force out this time.
Spent some time on the crossword puzzle.

Overnight, despite the horrendous day I’d had,  left me alone. But… the woke me up each time when it struck. Higher up on the leg now. Wakes you up with a jerk, I can tell yers. I feel a little pain each time, but it soon eases off, within seconds. By then, they had done their job, mission, aim… to stop me sleeping!
Either because of the mysteries of Woodthorpe Court, with the hobgoblins, spectres, gnomai, phantasms, ghosts, the grotesque succubae, extraterrestrials, ectoplasms, spirits, or the Fata Morganas, that have been sent to taunt, irritate and terminate my already limited saneness of mind. Or, my brain that is not communicating with that is dying off, or maybe it’s the cunning ? I’ve always had a sort of affinity with him, you know. I don’t think he likes not being liked by the souls he collects? It could be part of his plan to make living (for me) hell, then when he comes, I’ll welcome him. Just a thought. I’ve no quarrel with him at all. It’s smarty-pants Saint Peter I’d like a word with.

Sayounara.

Today has been, up to now, a nothing day.
This is the oddest one I’ve had for a long time; although the hectic ones were annoying, this does nothing other than make a mess of blogging and getting a delivery from Amazon Day; it was out of this world… No, the fact that I just went along with the nothingness all around me is a surprising bit. No Josie, no Wardens, and my mind was wandering all over the place. Anywhere I wanted it to go, well, Humph! On the bright side, Carer Shaquille and Carer Kimberly were in a decent mood, and we managed a few laughs… which were the highlights of the day!

I had to make some templates up, and I got carried away when I found a few words I could use in the ode.

Not so dark this morning.

Moon, or reflection of flash. I don’t remember taking this one at all?

A gone-wrong early morning shot of the houses.

Ablutions.

Looks to me like , along with are beginning to blow up, bleed,  and scab again.
The two-tone-shaded toes… Scrawny leg bottoms, but fat at the top? Hehe!
are more prominent too! Some vein lumps rising.

Another change in the evacuation department!

Took a close up of the two-tone-shaded toes.

A truly blue hue now.

The output was more consistent today. I took these about an hour apart from each one. And a good colour, too.

Late afternoon clouds.Getting darker now.

I got carried away doing the ode.
Spent hours on it, but the result was disappointing.
Peaceful!
Aha, a misty sunset.

Today, , & tended to my needs.

Another seasoned vegetable stew tonight!

So, busy a day again…
The memory losses, blanks a pain,
There was only one trip to the Porcelain!
Only one person called me a lamebrain,
Frustrations, mixed messages from my brain,
Errors, confusion, errors; all a bane!
So many medications… but never cocaine,
Think of the poor devils in Ukraine…
I’ll try never to complain again!

The diabetic socks, I forgot to take off again.
I think I’ve laddered them?
During the night I’d been wen by the usual Thought Storms, and last night, a sharp pain under one of my toes. Why? No idea, until a carer arrives to have a look at the toes for me.

A smidge dark.

Medicalistationings tended to.

Gottwo spuds out to have later. (11 hours later, it turned out to be) Tsk!

Made the only brew of the day.
And let it go cold. Humph!

Topped up the Nurses, Carers & deliverymen nimble box on the carer’s table.

arrived. After giving me the medications, she took off my socks and investigated the painful toe. She thought it looked like a verruca or corn coming on.
We realise this must have been caused by the going out shoes yesterday with all the hobbling. She put some cream on the toe for me. The Asda delivery arrived while Marie was with me. Marie took the bags into the kitchen from the door to the kitchen. After the gal departed, I set to putting the food away.
Fresh foods for the fridge.
Frozen for the freezer.
Cupboard supplies.
Nibble Treats.
Cleaning stuff.
The fridge looked full.
Even the fridge door.
I may well get depressed and tempted…
But starve, I shall not! Haha!

The day pouch was filling again while I was doing this supremely popular, intelligently written, followed by thousands of worldwide masses (and they both like it) blog. A darker colour, though!

Severe Up to taking this sunset.
Almost like an oil painting?

I found that I’d put the two red potatoes into the oven on a medium heat. How long ago that was… I don’t recall, but they were well-cooked by now. So, set about making a meal of sorts.
While making the hurried meal, I took these belated sunset photos.
A wide view.
And zoomed in one.
Then back to making the meal.
As I moved to the sink to put the oven tray in to soak with bleach and washing liquid, I felt the catheter pouch slipping down with the weight.
Got it emptied, washed my hands and then the oven tray. Even darker urine this time!
I finally got the meal eaten…
Liquid Sea-salt & Flora none-butter, butter were added to the potatoes…
A vegetable Pastie, And very nice too!

.

Cheers, each!

I woke up at 06:00hrs and fought to get back to sleep. Finally, I drifted off… only to be woken up at 07:10hrs by Carer Maryam arriving. I took off the night pouch.
Medications were issued, and off she trotted.

I trotted to the wet room…
Porc failed

I took two-morning view shots.
A blue hue again.

Made a potent brew of Glengettie tea.

Made a start on the blogging, and an hour or so later…
took a snap of the bluer-than-ever sky.

To the wet room for a wash.
Again!

The sky getting lights now.

Back on the computer.

I got this from WordPress via email.
Anyone else got one? Beats me!

The day bag was once again filling rapidly.

I went to get the kitchen sink & floor cleaned…
Dropped the mop, and as I bent to retrieve it, had me on the floor on my knees in a flash, and a kicked in at the same time. These ailments are getting cunning now!
By the time I’d crawled to the £300 second-hand shop purchased, c1966, welt-causing, uncomfortable, not-working, itch-inspirational, crumb-containing recliner, and got myself back up on my feet, it took an awfully long time. It confused me as to how it happened; what brought it on? I got the knee Germolened and had forgotten all about the cleaning up I was doing, and got back on the computer. Hours later, at about 10:00hrs, it dawned on me that I’d ordered the Morrison’s delivery to come twit 08:00hrs>09@00hrs. I had to empty the bladder bag again…

Unfortunately, this was when the delivery from Morrisons was due to arrive. I was in a bit of a state of pain and confusion. I had to crawl to the front room and get up on my feet using the recliner, but this took a long time, and I forgot about the delivery due.
I cleaned and Germolened the knee injury, just a scrape. Took an extra Codeine and onto the computer.
Saw an email telling me it was due, and this was 2 hours after the time given. Panic set in…
I rang Obergruppenfurheress Deana to ask for help calling Morrisons. I got a not available message. I was hoping that Carer Kara would come next.
I got contact numbers off the internet for Morrisons cause I was sure that the delivery had come, but I could not get through on the intercom… with me spread-eagled on the floor, I wouldn’t have heard the weak chime anyway. Carer Maryam arrived. I got the contact number written down along with the order reference ready and asked her to ring the number for me after explaining my predicament. She got a ‘You’ve dialled the wrong number message.’ And she had to go to get her other duties tended to.
Now, this was getting to me. The 0345 322 0000 number Maryham had rang failed. So I did another search and found 0345 611 611, listed as customer services, so I rang it. The line was pretty clear, and I got most of what the lady said without asking her to repeat it too many times. Told her of my woes and gave her the order number and postcode. During the recorded music while she investigated for me, I got an email from Morrisons, giving me this number to ring, as the delivery could not be made or entry gained by the driver.
With Stuttering Stephanie in attendance, I mentioned this email to the lady when she returned.
They will deliver the order later today, at around 15:00hrs, today. Smashing!

It didn’t happen like this, of course.
I found that 0345 calls from landlines are typically charged up to 65p per minute. And Maryham and I must have been on the lines for a total of 3/4 of an hour. Oh, dearie me! I picked this little snippet up while searching for a contact number: Back in 2021, private equity giant Clayton Dubilier & Rice (CD&R) paid £7bn to acquire Morrisons, with the deal finalised before the steep hike in interest rates. I’m waiting for the delivery and hoping I do not have another tumble before they arrive. Humph!

I tried several times to get to Josie today. All failed. I am worried now; I’ll ask the morning Carer if she is okay. My EQ tells me she will not be. Fingers crossed!

I sorted the waste bins out.
Nibbling guilt again?
More wee-wee escaped of its own accord.
The sun came out – then back in again.
I took this artistic close-up shot.
Bad full again!

Got a call on the mobile. Morrisons told me the man would be with me in 15-30 minutes. And to keep an eye out for him, which is impossible. If I go to the balcony to keep an eye out, and he’s at the foyer doors, I cannot hear the intercom if it goes off.

Carer Kara called. Sorted some paperwork for me. But I was nervous about concentrating on the finances in case I missed the Morrison man due in ten minutes. But he did not come; at least I didn’t hear him.

Another phone call, the delivery will arrive in 15 minutes. We’ll see, I thought. Not that it is Morrison’s fault, but the Accifauxpa caused me to miss the original delivery. Let’s face it: what with the Catheter bag leaking yesterday and now the tumble? What can I get wrong next? I’ll tell yer…

I kept having a quick look out of the balcony and saw an Asda van parked up – ensured that I made this error. I rang Warden Julie, and while explaining my accident and the confusion… I realised that it was not Asda but Sainsbury’s that was overdue! I think she thought something like; Hehehe! But she was patient with me. ♥
I got nothing done on the blog, as I was now staying in the hallway, which I hoovered all the time, just in case the intercom rang. I think An hour passed, and the evening Carer, Christopher, turned up at about 17:15hrs.

The mobile chimed again while he was here, and I could not understand what the caller was saying, so my mate took the call. Chris said the driver was calling, and he’d gone to the wrong floor. It was the Asian chap who delivered the last JS order. A grand patient lad. He and Chris put the goods into carrier bags and left them in the hallway.
And the kitchen.

I needed to sit down for a few minutes. Chris left with the driver, and I settled for a bit of rest… But, No!
Three failures, and now the innards were beginning to give me some gyp! Fancy that!

Fish week, by the look of it? A bit of lamb crept in there. False surimi prawns, fishcakes of three types… Yes, another cock-up with my ordering! And two brands of surimi sticks. Having them tonight… although it will probably be morning by the time I get them.
Vegetable Risotto meals, cobs, bread, cheapo cooking bacon, but no milk. Due to one of my famous mistakes or not,  I know not.

I got on the computer for a few hours at long last.
I’m now going to get something to eat.

Oh, nearly forgot to put the quiz thingy on…

The Friday Fish Treat
Well, most of it was…
The Surinami sticks were terrific. As were the beetroot and garden peas. The Morrisons’ smoke haddock fishcakes and battered hake were not so good. I had to abandon eating these fishcakes; they were bland and tasteless!

Here I go again…
Mid-eating, I had to stop to empty out my  pouch yet again.
Got the pots washed, and I got back into the itch-creating, bruise-giving, catheter-tube-tugging, God-awfully uncomfortable, cringingly-grotty, no longer working, dirty beige, anti-sleep designed, c1966, second-hand bought for £300, ten years ago from the charity shop, recliner. Turned on the TV.
Nodded off, then woke every few minutes, so I gave up and settled to sleep.
Nodded off, then woke every few minutes…

TTFNski!
