Wednesdays Sunset – Bootiful!

Sherwood’s Sunset, daunting, yet so picturesque,
Almost like it was designed by an artist…
With the aid of an abstractionist?
Believe me, viewing it, I heard a clarinettist…
Playing Stranger on the Shore, perfectionist!

The scenes almost spoke to me,
My worries were replaced, temporarily,
I began to think, rather melancholily…
When I snuff it, I’ll miss these sunsets, sadly!

For all my worries and ailments, I feel lucky…
Though I may be writing circumlocutorily…
In bad odeing too, but that comes naturally,
It brings on a desire to be conciliatory!
And admiration seems so obligatory!.

At this moment of photographing…
I don’t want to visit Beijing,
Go skiing or backpacking…
Have sex, or go mountain scaling,
I made a spot of decision-making…
Enjoy nature; I find it so enthralling!.

Hello, the cold rains started drizzling,
The winds are getting up, more nature enabling?
This means other worries are expelling…
The thought of getting back to normality is dismaying!

Back to the day to day stuff means disentangling,
Pleasures of Mother nature at work, disengaging…
Making a brew, having a wee-wee – blood-curdling!
I think it’s time I went for some counselling?

Editor Inchcock, happy as usual!

Lilly – Fort Thomas KY USA – I'm a published poet and essayist on women's lit, southern women's writers and have been a contributor to Know Theater Tribe original dramatic productions of evocative prose poetry. I also enjoy building, water color and acrylic. My work background has been from exec. secry to university fellow TA; advising;and consummate entertainment maven during a dream job as home maker! I traveled a great bit to and from my home state of CA and enjoy kayaking on the harbor and horseback riding. I love nothing better than an espresso and good music with a driving electric guitar! Ciao! (I'm also Italian and hot blooded!) This was written before cancer and the lock down! Now things feel quite different. I'm still me - kind of locked down with my two male family members! I will talk about both of them regularly and both are amazing people sharing the same DNA! I'm the "other" who slipped in and stayed for nearly 30 years when I planned on two! My life until I joined my family seemed both alarming and intriguing to so many people, I have been encouraged to write about the events that both formed, challenged and enhanced my state of being. Your kind attention is appreciated.

My Darling! I’m sad for your melancholia. Have you changed any meds lately? Your burden feels heavier lately. You are grand. You give so much many of us look forward to daily! I know how it is a thought of doing something you love and pulling yourself up short, saying, I love that but I can no longer do it. You have memories of good times, ,you want to walk or bike or even cook or some regular daily habits that can not return for us at this time in this body. We love our gift of a working and even handsome body, and long to use it as in the past. How the days blend and activities we miss seem to build up inside and real fear and sorrow when we know this life will leave this body sooner than later. We won’t die Inchie. I promise you the shackles of our waning physicality is all that will end. We will walk, jump, glide and fall into the arms of loved ones you may not know, and surely be joined with all the people we do know! I look forward to the dance we will share in the light of the spheres! Most near death experiences are a living witness to our instant of passing being bright, peaceful and so real. As you love your commune with nature, imagine combining with it consciously l , mot a metaphoric becoming worm fodder. Just a tiny tilt of perspective like in your photography and nothing is lost, all is regained . My love and lasting regard!
