Another Friday of losing it mentally. Not like going bonkers, oh, no!
It was just
mainly to start with. My concentration, eyesight, hearing… For the first time in two days, I even had STUTTERING STEPHANIE, making things embarrassing every time a Carer called! Thank heavens, there were no phone calls for the six hours or so that Steph was stopping me from getting my words out, and/or they were coming out wrongly. I mentioned this to the nurse at the Mental Health clinic. But she didn’t seem to show any interest. I got the feeling that this problem was expected?
So, things did not go to plan. I even forgot that I’d not sent the WordPress blog off yesterday. This happens so often when someone calls; I’m lost before they arrive, and when my limited attention to the subject changes!
I think ostensibly, my concerns over the Cataract operation… or rather its likely cancellation, if the Blepharitis hasn’t cleared up, they cannot do the procedure. The thought of going to the back of the queue again is a worry! Then there’s the running out of Ramipiril for four (5 now as I write this on Saturday) days; they are for my Blood Pressure. Carer Benjamin, not that anyone else knows either has no idea when they will, if they will come before I cross the great divide to meet St Peter at the gates.
I’ve known for ages that things will get worse with the PN. Combined with
spending more time confusing and my brain worries over the Cataracts, Glaucoma and hearing -, I’m having trouble getting words out properly. Running out of medications so often, the ridiculous rise in food costs and Medications… Yep… things are getting more & more frustrating and distracting. What’s the word I’m looking for? Hard to bear, I suppose. No one seems to understand this… myself included that! Every morning, there are changes to my mental and physical health… Still, no use moaning! Sorry about that!
I needed that little chunter! Thank you!

As I was finishing preparing the meal, Carer Benjamin arrived. I put the meal in the used oven tray and back into the oven to keep warm. He didn’t stay long this time, bless him.
Two mini-pretend pork pies with caramelised onion, boiled spuds, and beer-coated oven chips. It was nice, even though the chips were now overcooked a smidge.

I just caught this end of the sunset!

I took it all in good spirits, though.
