0600hrs: Naturally, the memory was blurry, but I could not work out why I still had my socks on and no nocturnal catheter pouch either. It may come back to me later. First, the apparently urgent need for the Porcelain Throne arose, and a response felt urgently needed, so I fumbled and fought my elephantine-bellied body up and out of the itch-creating, bruise-giving, catheter-tube-tugging, crumb-decorated from my nocturnal nibbling, God-awfully uncomfortable, cringingly grotty, no longer working, dirty beige, anti-sleep designed, c1966, second-hand bought for £300 twelve years ago from the charity shop in Sherwood, recliner. Although hobbling precariously quickly to the wet room, the urgency turned to panicky as the need got more urgent; I somehow found time to worry about my not having been sleeping in the bed? My mass of confused thoughts and fears were relieved by being replaced with an immediate emergency. I sat down just in time to keep the evacuated product contained and released while I was seated and not standing up! A near calamity was avoided!
The evacuation process took maybe 3 seconds. Splugh, done!
I emptied the day pouch again. It was a little dark in colour—and not a lot of it, either. If I was seeing okay, the amount indicated on the wee-wee jug showed 120ml. As Paul Daniels used to say, ‘Not a Lot! ‘ I started to have a wash, and Carer Marham arrived. She kindly shaved the back of my neck for me; bless her. Then, she swapped my socks for me. Medications and a little quick chinwag were enjoyed.

I took this snap through the balcony windows and tried to concentrate on blogging, but I was so far behind that it was unreal.

I nipped to get a cold drink from the fridge and realised I had not sorted out the waste bags yet.
So, I sorted them.
My mind was vague, with a tendency to wander off the subjects and forget the task at hand earlier. I don’t know why I bothered telling you that; it’s such a regular aspect of my life nowadays. Tsk!
Back to the blogging.

I meandered of to make a brew of my favourite Glengettie tea. I took this snap of the left and right houses that have been facing work done for months on their improvement work. I’ve not seen any workers at either house for three months now.

The Morrison’s via Amazon food delivery arrived. I got the items put away. Amazingly, there was space left in the fridge, but not the freezer, which was crammed to capacity.
I bought some more of the teeth cleaner wash, which was on offer at half-price! What a blessing these are. I no longer brush and break bits of teeth off and tear the dilapidating gums.

I had a minor problem with the box of four Jamaican Beef Patties. They were frozen! I’d got them for the Caregivers as a treat, but I thought they were fresh and had no room to store them in the freezer. Before I knew it, Caregiver Joanne arrived for the lunchtime call. She took them down to the staff room freezer. Kindness again!
I got the bags into one bag, and they were taken down late for me later on.

I was so good, I thought. With only one potato to bake, I took one out and left it to bake later so I wasn’t tempted by the others in the food drawer. You see, moments of almost near clarity at times!
The eyes began to offer weak and double vision. I knew I had to stop working on the computer, as I had not accomplished much of what I had intended. I can’t bring myself to stop, though. I love doing these things, reading, and commenting on others’ sites.

I watched a Euro football match. Well, I meant to. Instead, when the adverts came on at half-time, I sank into a deep, much-needed sleep. (Old photo used again, Hehehe!)  I woke up with a jump as the right Ankle and Leg Electric Shocks kicked off
Off to the wet room I went. I think this evacuation was completed within three seconds as well! I took a couple of the invaluable Galpharm capsules. I’ve got to do something to try and stop the almost liquid flow that evacuated today! I’m feeling a smidge queezy with it.

I put the spud in the oven and sat down again to fall asleep again, watching the next Euro game. Zzzz!
Yet again, I was woken up with a jump as the right Ankle and Leg Electric Shocks kicked off.
The smell of the burnt potato in the oven caught my nose. I went to investigate. The skin on the red potato was like thick leather, hehe! The flesh was well overcooked. But no bother—it was easy on the teeth to eat, especially after I added a dollop of the tasty No-Butter, Butter, sea salt, and black pepper to the potato. I got the meal onto the plate and tray and wobbled back to the TV.
BBQ’d porkpie, freshly podded peas, tomatoes and a well-so-well baked potato. No bread (The no bread is for Sister Jane, just in case she reads this, Hehehe!)
Gorgeous!
After I settled down after washing the pots, it dawned on me that the teatime Carer had not been. Or they had, and I’d not realised it. I couldn’t rely on my memory, so I checked the logbook. Yes, no one had called. Weekend again, I bet they were having trouble getting cover. But I dare not risk sorting the tablets myself. The late Carer, if one arrives, will issue them for me. Sweet Morpheus allowed me to yet once more fall asleep. A deep and very welcome sleep, even with me worrying over not getting far with the blog.

I was woken up by Carer Maryham leaning over me. (I enjoyed that, Haha!) I was in total confusion, though. Maryham explained that she had been called in to work to cover. I forgot to ask her to take the diabetic socks off and to put the Nocturnal Catheter pouch on. She was pleasant with me. Bless Her.
I was still confused in the morning.

This must be an old one with a wired mousse?

04:00hrs: I clambered out of bed and onto my feet. I took the nocturnal Catheter Pouch off and emptied it.
I went to the wet room for a wash in response to the need for the Porcelain Throne. Wow! What a difference this morning’s evacuation was!
Constipation Conrad had returned after a four-week absence. A few Argh’s and oooh’s were verbalised. It took me a long time to encourage, finally having to force the gigantic Karki Coloured torpedo out from the innards. Lots of blood from Haemorrhoid Harold, but at least no mess to clean up. The cistern struggled to clear things a bit. Three pulls were needed.
I was on the computer when a belated Caregiver, Joanne, arrived. She brought the laundry back for me and, helped sort the socks into pairs and hung up the dressing gowns. I appreciated that; it was nice of her. Medications were given, diabetic socks were put on, and we had a natter while this was being done.
The Asda order arrived. I was not happy with it at all. The driver brought the food through to the kitchenette, but he did not give me time to get it into the carriers.
The food was spread on the floor, and the cooker, microwave, sink, and any free spots were available. I was pleased to get the Lemon Tartlets (a favourite of mine) at a Special Offer Price. I found some things on the window ledge, like the lime & lemon water.
I gathered the things and took these photographs of them.
Beef pies, burgers, drinks, and patties for the Caregiver’s treats. Some tomatoes, bread, mushrooms, and vegan slices, for me. Three things annoyed me. The Polish-cooked belly pork should have been in the usual airtight vacuum pack. But it must have been punctured somehow because it was loose, and water was leaking out of it. It’s a horrible colour, too! One of the cheesy potato trays had had its cover ripped off! I had to cook it in the oven later, so I mixed some extra-grated Leicester cheese into it and cooked it until the edges were crispy.
The third disappointment, was the wrapper on the pork pie had been partially torn off of it.

Caregiver Kimberley arrived on her cleaning mission, and I was duly ‘Domesticated’. Well, the flat was. Hehe!
She titivated the kitchen and wet room for me.

Carer Kara did the midday checks, looked over the Catheter contraptions, and mentioned that she would try to find time tomorrow to call British Gas about the two-year confusion of not knowing which numbers they want recording from the current metre, and the new fitting a smart-metre con they are pulling.

Kodak Tim was storing some shots to the SD card, others not? With the usual blotches showing on those that it did. The odd one on the card, but was not recognised by the computer or CorelDraw? I’ve had a look on Amazon to see if a similar Kodak was on offer to this one, that Cyber-Mate Tim donated to me. Couldn’t find one. A shame because this one I am familiar with.
The electric shocks from the leg were more frequent today, and they really do take the concentration away from what I was trying to do.
Stopped computing as the eyes were getting too blurry. Made an early nosh. The extra cheesy potatoes came out okay. Surami fish sticks, sugar snap peas, wholemeal
rolls, strawberry mousse.

Caregiver Christopher came. And he set about the Germolening of the Ankle Ulcer that was giving off so many electric shocks today. He spotted three new blotches coming up just below where the shocks were emanating from originally. They are climbing slowly up the leg now; in fact, it’s doing it as I type this. Almost feels like an electric eel inside, crawling up the leg. Hehe! Not that it bothers me in the slightest, of course.
With my incredible pain tolerance, jolly-outgoing nature, and being such a happy chappy… I gave Chris some treats in thanks.

I took a few shots of the view after Chris left. But only one of them made it to the SD card. Still, at least it was one that partially hid the blotches this time. Haha!

I found it, Smug-Mode adopted! But not until Wednesday at about 13:00hrs. That may be a little far over the ten seconds allotted? Har-Har!

Toodle-Pips!

Oh, flipping heck, pickled walnuts and groats! Just look at the colour of the pouch contents this morning! So, so dark! That was my fault, methinks. I told Carer Richard I’d try to take my diabetic socks off and fit the night bag myself, as he was not up to it. The lad still struggling with his poor legs. But, me being me, I could not get the diabetic socks off, and I fell asleep and didn’t put the night bag on. Life is a struggle for both of us. I was so glad to see him, though. So I left the socks on. As soon as I got on my feet, the electric shocks started from the ankles, and they have been on and off all day, as of 15:00hrs. Cartilages Chloe and Carole are taking it, in turn, to give way, as well. Carer Kimberley came, and I took some Kodak Tim shots. When the gal departed, I got the SD card out to load the shots onto the computer…
!

Only the open photo was on the card. Was that the urine pouch? I must have taken about ten more.
I got the card back in Kodak Tim and took a couple more, but they were not on the card. I swapped cards, tried again, and had no luck. Now I was almost in tears! Shit!

I lost interest after that. I turned on the TV to watch the football, only to see Ukraine lose to Romania. Then France won… Nothing is going right at all!

Then, a series of events played out. I can’t even get a wash and shower because I forgot to ask Carer Kimberly to take my socks off. Depression kicked in then. So, I had to try something to get back online, so I decided to have a stand-up wash and shave, but I didn’t enjoy it.
What utter frustrations!

Back in a bit… hello, the intercom is chiming out. I could see a nurse at the door, let her in, and started thinking of the things I wanted to tell and ask her: the electric shocks from the ankles, the cartilage, and the toothache. The doorbell chimed, and when I got to open the door, the nurse said she was looking for a lady. She realised she had come in the wrong block and needed Winchester Court, not Woodthorpe Court. My sinking spirits sank even further.
Off to the wet room.

I’m back and in a slightly teeny-weeny, microscopic, tinyish,  itsy-bitsy, almost imperceptible bit of a better mood. Why? I’m not quite sure. It possibly has something to do with cleaning my teeth and shaving without the slightest hint of a cut or bleeding.

Late on, Carer Chris arrived. He looked at the camera for me, used his phone camera to take a shot of the evening clouds, and emailed the picture to me. I got it on here Tuesday morning.
He’s caught the essence of the night sky very well. Not that I was jealous, of course. Chris had cleaned through the mechanics of the camera for me.

I made the evening meal and then tried using Kodak Tim again. It was hit-and-miss. The meal photo went through (Yee-Ha!), but my sky shot did not reach the SD card? Lamburger cobs and fries. 8.8/10.

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Carer Joanne did the midday call today, and I was overjoyed when she said the missing prescription had arrived. With no Codeines or Paracetamol in the medicine cupboard, I got myself into another uncalled-for deep semi-panic mode. Joanne called the doctor or chemist to tell them none had been served up. Whoever she spoke to said they could be picked up in the morning. I was fretting over not having anything to counter the carriages, toothache, and catheter tube pains. It was not until Carer Chris arrived at teatime that I realised there were Codeines and Paracetamol on the Carer’s desk. I felt like a proper fool!  But I decided to blame it all on Doreen’s Dementia and Cognitive Impairment, Iris, being in charge of my brain today. There’s no denying it: I get things so wrong so often. The doctor knows about it, but does she care or understand? I’m blown if I understand!
My eyes seem to be getting far worse earlier each day. The weather, as of now, at 18:30 hrs (yes, another late start to getting the blogging done!), a few rainy sessions, and being a little gloomy add to the frustration and depression of failure. Another early morning getting to bed. Still, despite all the trials, tribulations, and daily mental and physical trials and errors that haunt and stalk me, I really do love doing this blog and reading others. Time is the snag… well, that and having periods of not knowing what the hell I’m doing, saying, or, at times, thinking! And the annoying and ultra-confusing  doesn’t help!
When Chris pointed out the Codeines and Paracetamols in the Caregivers’ medical pot on their table, I felt disgusted with myself for getting it all wrong for a while. I think he was unhappy with me. Rightly so, too.
I’ve waffled again in my self-disgust, better get on.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

03:00 hrs: I bounded up from the bed and did 100 press-ups, 200 toe-touches, and then minutes of shadow boxing. This was followed by… Well, alright then… 03:00 hrs: I reluctantly woke and took off the nocturnal catheter pouch. And hobbled to the wet room and the Porcelain Throne. A messy affair again, all over in seconds, but it took ten minutes to clean myself and WC up after the event. I didn’t have a wash, but a rinse, no shaving done, and the teggies were cleaned. Applied the Terbinafine cream to the tender red armpits. The red eye had all but gone this morning. Harold’s Haemorrhoids were Germoloided. The barrier cream was applied to the lower regions and to my massive, wobbly belly folds.
Both Cartilages were Phorpain gelled, and some Germolene was applied to the ankle ulcer.
No sunshine out yet. Apparently we had little rain overnight, judging by the lack of mudslide in the end car park area. There was much vehicular activity.
It went even darker later on.
I knew the dune was trying to get through, judging by this Kodak Tim blotched photograph from the kitchen, no, balcony.
The intercom chimed out; it was the Low-Cost Food delivery driver; I let him in.
Opened the door a few minutes later, to find the box of nosh in the flat’s foyer. There was not a lot, but it was well-packed.
I opened the boxes and got the nibbles and drinkies out for the nurses and carers.
I put the empty cardboard boxes close to the flat’s doorway.
The cartilage Chloe gave way on me again, but at the best place to do it, in the mini-hallway. Walls within arm’s length to help avoid a tumble, from which it would be so painful to get back up on my feet. Arrgh!
Aha, we had some rain, and the end car park mudslide was soon showing. It’s about time we had a drop of rain, I thought. Little did I know the amount we were going to get shortly!
As you can see, we had a downpour for about an hour or so. Then, it stopped as quickly as it started.

Carer Christopher arrived. He got the diabetic socks on my legs (well, it seemed the logical place to put them, Haha). Did the medicationalisationings. Had drinkie and nibble, and off.

The rain came again on and off over the afternoon.
I took the chance to take a break from the hard work of blogging. Making errors, mistakes, etc., was the easy part of blogging!

Concentration was at a minimum for most of the day… no, for all of the day!
Carer Joanne arrived, bringing the prescriptions that did not come the other day. However, the medical drawer had no Codeines or Paracetamols in it. Joanne rang either the chemist or the doctor for me and told me they would be ready for collection tomorrow. Bless her! Later, when Chris came, he pointed out that there were still some Codeines and Paracetamols in the Carers pot on their table, so there was no need to fetch them tomorrow, as it is not urgent now.
I’d got it all mixed up somehow. I keep doing this, but no one seems to be interested; I need help if I can get it.

I made an order for Asda for next Tuesday. Then went to make a brew of Glengettie tea.
I left the tea bag in the mug to get nice and strong, then got the bamboo stick thingy to stir and remove the tea bag…
I’d like to offer a piece of advice on the Health & Safety aspects of making a brew of tea. I used a bamboo skewer pointed stick to stir the mashing, and you should get a sneeze coming on; it would be better if you put down the stick before covering your nose as one sneezed! Still, the little plaster fitted over the mouth and stopped the puncture from bleeding for me. But it could well have been worse, you know. I may have stuck it up my nose, Hehehe!

I was working in CorelDraw to create some headers. Actually, I was editing a bitmap at the time. ! CorelDraw Crashed Yet Again! I lost all the work done since the last saving! And had to start all over again on the Horoscope graphic! Grrr! Rebooted and got the thingy up to give me my email address and reason for what I was doing when the crash happened. Since getting the new version of CorelDraw, I must have had 20 crashes! I don’t think they even read these messages; they have certainly not replied to any one of them. I looked up who owns CorelDraw nowadays: “In 2019, Corel was acquired by the investment firm KKR and Co and changed its name to Cascade Parent Limited (Oligarchs, fiendish grubstakers, like Liberty-Global?), which trades under the brand name of Alludo. Consequently, the company is still headquartered in Ottawa, Canada”.

The sun actually got through late on in the day, and the previously hidden blue sky peeped through gaps in the clouds. Very pretty!
The rain came again for a while. Stopped, and was on and off for there’s of the night long.
I got a message about the return of an old favourite chocolate bar from Cadbury’s. This is a photo of the 1980s Top Deck as it was before being taken off the market. As I recall, it was a favourite of mine back then. It said the cost at that time was 15p a bar. I wonder what it will cost this time.

The sky was getting darker quickly and sooner tonight, compared to the previous few?

I got around to sorting out the mess on CorelDraw. It took me three hours to get things back to what and where I wanted them again. Humph!

THe last photo after I’d had my nosh. Which I definitely recall taking a photo of… but it has gone off into the ether of the camera again!

After posting this on the blog, it said there were no injuries; I later read that one lady had died in her flat. So sad.– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

A speeded-up minimum diary this time.
So late updating from here onwards, on Friday morning.
I hope to tell you about it tomorrow. Well, it’s tomorrow already. I’m confusing myself again!

Not a good colour.

Blue hue to the morning sky.

Four waste gags into one.

Sorted out the nibbles stock & reloaded the Carer table pots.

Carer Chris arrived while I was doing my ablutions. He pointed out that the neck shaving I thought I’d just finished doing was not shaved. Thanks to Peripheral Neuropathy, Pete, I cannot always have a sense of feel when touching things;  as today, I couldn’t feel the stubbles of neck hair that I’d missed. So he got the razor and saw them off for me. Thanks, Chris!

I carried on with CorelDrawing for the top articles: The Ode, Snippets, Horoscopes, and other graphics. But it was taking me so long that time ran out. Humph!

Amazon Delivery.
Nappies… I mean, Protection Pants
Nappies stored below the drinkie-treats.
Expensive Diabetic socks. But it is worth paying the extra for these Diabetic Snob Socks. Work a treat, comfortable too!

Pareidolianiable and Bootiful.

A ready-made black bean and beef meal microwaved.
A whole-meal baguette soaks up the liquid. Before cooking, it is added to the dish with chestnuts, red and green peppers, and a jar of black bean sauce. Slurp! Much of it ended up on my billing stomach and Protection Pants. Haha!

I made an order with J Sainsbury’s for next week. I hope that they have some Lemon Tartlets and Maryland Vegan cookies in stock this time.

Another pareidolianiable and bootiful view of the evening skies. I hope you can see what I do in this one.

I see only three circles?

BREAKING NEWS

I’ve driven endless times along Snake Pass, and I was nervous and careful every time, especially when I was delivering in the Derbyshire area when it snowed. Someone comments on this Snippet, saying a cyclist ignored a red light?
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –What a lonely day, today. Well, it wasn’t really. But none of the regular Carers called. So our little jokes, insults and swipes at each other could not be activated. I missed them! Hehe!
The computer was playing up, resulting in me not getting so many photographs due to the time I spent making corrections. Peripheral Neuropathy Pete was to blame. The right hand and arm had now joined in with the right leg suddenly dancing and Shirley’s Shaking Shoulder, which often made me so frustrated, angry, and annoyed. I would verbally curse, with such words as “Flip it!” “Bother!” and “Oh, Heck!

I emptied the nocturnal catheter pouch into the jug. To get a more accurate assessment of the colour to record on the log
I gave it a four, I think.
Off to the wet room in response to the rumbling innards. I thought Constipation Conrad would be in charge. But no. ruled again.
Minutes after coming out into the hallway, I had to dive back in and on the Porcelain Throne.
An even more giant dollop of liquid waste shot out this time. With such force, not many areas of the wet room or I didn’t need cleaning up this time.
I returned to the medicine drawer and took two of Morrison’s Anti-Splatter capsules.
I suppose it might have been caused by last night’s vegetable and beef dish, which I enjoyed so much. It contained a lot of vegetables, gravy thickener, and even a splash of liquid smoke.
Took a break from the irritating error creating on the computer, to make a brew of Glengettie tea. Took this blotch-ridden photo of the late morning view.
Back for my third and final… up to now, visit to the .
Much less evacuated this time. And came out with a few discernable lumps in the almost liquid mass.
Back to CorelDrawing. It hasn’t crashed, but I’ve hit the wrong colour or function tab so often that it’s taken me longer than ever to create three find-the-difference graphics.
It’s galling bothersome!
What a fantastic set of small clouds Kodak Tim could take from the kitchen window. Contrails, blotches, and tiny puffs of cloud seemed alive as they were being blown about so easily. Great!
I got the mug from the very effective tea-stain removal I use. Baking soda, bleach, a drop of washing-up liquid, and hot water are poured into the mug. It comes clean within a minute of soaking. It’s just a rare moment to get something right, you know. Hehe!
I thought I’d have one of the Carer & nurses nibbles. I found this Snickers bar cooling in the fridge for the next one to call. Guiltily, I tried to eat it with my mug of tea. The teeth bled,
My lips bled, and I promised never to eat chocolates from the fridge again!
Took these two cloud shots as the sun came down.
Then, I sorted out the fodder. I put the vegetable pie in the oven and prepped the instant potatoes to be made after it was cooked. I’m in an Egon Ronay mood, or maybe it is a Gordon Ramsey one? This might turn out a good one again… Mmm!
It is close to the time for the last Carer call. The last one said the belated prescriptions ought to be arriving soon. He told me that two medications were run out. I leave it to them nowadays.
I got it served up, and it was delightful. It’s been a good meal for two nights on the trot now.
It was a hell of a job to wash up afterwards. The bowl with the cheese and potato in it was a battle to get cleaned. Well, the cutlery was as well. But I enjoyed it so much. Also, the Carer was a little later than usual, so I ate it in undisturbed peace. I got down to watch the 21:00-hour Lethal Weapon 2. When the adverts came on, I nodded off, waking several times and missing a few minutes of the action. The last time I woke up was to see the screen credits rolling. Humph! No Care called. So, I’ll have to have a stand-up wash and shave in the morning. I cannot get the diabetic socks on or off without help.

I hope the catheter equipment arrives soon. The day pouch should have been removed and replaced on Thursday, I think it was. But we agreed not to bother, as the District Nurse was coming to change the whole she-bob on Friday. But they couldn’t find any of the Catheter set-ups to put on. Said she’d return the next day with a kit from the base. But she didn’t. Then I got an email from Vyne saying they had received my order and requested a prescription from my doctor, who would let me know when it was dispatched. So it may be well into the week before it does arrive. I hope the medications arrive soon. I’ve no idea which ones I’m currently missing. Not that any blame is attached. Some staff are on holiday, others are off poorly, and replacements are not offah with the system or needs. It reminds me of my time as Security Controller. Late arrivals, clients calling, alarms to be responded to, Patrol Officer instead of three, Police messages, Clients ringing in, and no staff left to call and beg to come in on their day off. I know the feeling!

Zzz!

Due to unforeseen circumstances, from the injuries I received from Friday’s tumble, I now await the arrival of the ambulance. But fear not; I am certain I’ll be back later and can do a bit more on this blog before posting it tomorrow. I can do a bit now cause the ambulances I had to summon on the last two occasions took over 4 hours and the other over 2.5 hours to not arrive, and I cancelled them. So, it may not make it this time. We’re struggling here with the NHS suffering so many shortages. I played things down a bit when the Carer called them, but now, of course, I’ve got to get prepared, dressed my socks and shoes on. When a Carer calls, They can help me with the tasks at hand and assist me in getting the trousers and Protective pants on. I’ll be okay. Then, ready things, just in case they do come. Life is getting terribly complicated. Hehehe! Catch up later.

After writing the above, joy of joys, the bleeding stopped again! Yee-Ha! I cancelled the ambulance. But I am not feeling up to much with all the blood loss, so I will not be able to do much more on here. I’ll do what I can before I flake out. Har-Har!
I said complicated about life; there must be a more apt word to have used? Erm…

Not so dark.

First window photo.

And then I started to have a wash…
Phoaw!

Bin bags into one.
And guess where I had to go to?

Tsk!

Started the computer and got today’s ode done.
Will this headache ever stop? I’ve not had one for years, and now I can’t get rid of this one. Codeines tried again.

The forecasted storm did not appear.

Beautiful sky and clouds. But, the blotches seem more numerous and larger?

Took this close-up of my beloved and much-missed walking through tree copse. It hid the blotches.

This was when the first, the big one, arrived. I was in the kitchen making a brew of Glengettie when I realized and came out of it. Many memories. I could recall two Caregivers visiting, and I knew that I’d visited the Porcelain Throne twice more and that Trotsky Terence was in charge… but little else. No further work has been done on the blog.
And the headache persisted, although maybe not so violent now. But hours had passed. I felt so tired, I got the drink and ate some Frazzles, put the computer into sleep mode, and had a devil of a job to get the grubstakers,  speculators, plutocrats, securities-brokers, stinking-rich, plutocratic, multi-crore, plutocratically, con-artists. Artful deception, flimflam, hokum, legerdemain,  clandestine
amphibological Liberty-Global owned Virgin Media’s pathetic TV box to work. Then fell asleep. For hours!

When I woke, a Carer was coming into the flat. She gave me some painkillers, and she put a new plaster on my teeny weeny head wound. I’d taken off the plaster earlier, and it bled a bit. But, I doused some Brut aftershave on a rag and pressed on it for a few minutes; that soon stopped it.

I didn’t, but that’s not new. I got one.

porc tttFancy that!

Seeing this photo on the SD card was a bit of a memory teaser. It took me a while to recall making and eating it. I found the chips in a bin bag near the computer; this triggered the grey cells, and I remembered they went cold as a Caregiver called as I started eating them. I wasn’t doing well at this moment. Yet within minutes, I was much more with it, and things stayed that way for the rest of the night.
Went on the WP comments. And enjoyed that.
Another two bags were made up.

Back on the computer. Over the next three hours or so, I took these night shots.

I’m so tired and confused. WordPress putting the wrong photos, not the current ones, on the reader did not help. I had to keep renaming them and deleting the previous ones. I don’t seem to have any luck lately.

Now, the headache is just starting again!

I’m fed up!

Terribly dark!
I broke the plastic drainer tube off of the Day Catheter, getting the night pouch off! Hobbled to the wet room initially to empty the pouch. Which had to wait as I almost tore the PPs in haste to get sat on the Porcelain before the flow started flowing, and boy, it came and came!

The legs looked a little worse for wear. The ankles in particular.
Not sure if you can see it, but the right leg swelling was growing again. The day pouch bag is due to be changed today.

I thought the red eye was looking better. But later, when Carer Christopher arrived, he said it was a lot worse.
Can’t win ’em all. Hehe!
As Chris was putting the diabetic socks on my legs, the light went out. No matter what we tried, it would not work. We assumed that the plastic bayonet had broken. I asked Chris to inform the Wardens for me, which he said he would.
I hope they can get someone to sort it out before it gets dark. Walking, well, hobbling around with a loose catheter bag, cartilages that might give at any time, or worse still, the walking stick and cooking to get done as well. Then there’s a chance I could trip over something, but the Cataract can’t. Well, they won’t be done again until the Glaucoma lasering has been done, but that’s doubtful at my age. Then a real risk of a
kicking off! The double vision doesn’t help either. I’m talking myself into a depression here, ain’t I? Hahaha!
I collated the various waste fabs into one and placed it near the front door, ready for collection later on in the day.
I took a photo of the trees and felt so sorry for the birds. It was howling out there. I bet a few nest chicks and eggs got smashed, then I spotted…
Police officers in the Woodthorpe Park bottom field.
In the second photo, I caught two officers chasing something or one to the left end, rear of Muggers Alley. Blotches on the lens again! Humph!
I went to the other room to answer the mobile phone that was ringing. It was a lady from the Nottingham Council Social Prescribing Team, but I had to ask her to ring back on the landline, which she did pleasantly. I have to get a Carer to read through it to find out what it is all about. Just my luck, Carer Carer has just gone on a fortnight’s holiday! (Vacation)
So, I’ll see who comes. She wants me to read it and ring her back. This does not bode well, but it does because it’s lovely that someone cares enough to help. It’s me who gets things mixed up, forgets things, and, at times, panics a smidge about anything official. Silly old fool.
Like with MS, CorelDraw, and WordPress, it sometimes does not put the right photos on, and I only find out when I do a preview. I found I have to rename them all the time. What’s the bloody hell is going on here? Is it Google or WordPress wrong? Or thick-me?
Oh, I do miss helpful Kara!

I got carried away there, back to the police presence…
Police appeared coming down the hill of foot, a police van and two more cars arrived.
Innit annoying when you don’t know what going on?
Mind you, that’s standard procedure for me.

I took a snap of the mudslide that had gone down a lot. The wind helped, I think.
Talking of the wind, I had a little escape from the rear end, and ASAP, I fumbled my way back to the wet room.

Warden & Desktop Dancer Julie came in. Carer Christopher had told her about the light bulb problem. She came up to make an assessment. Hopefully, she can get some help today for me, but if not…

When I was just a little boy
I asked my mother, what will I be
Will I be pretty? Will I be rich?
Here’s what she said to me
Qué será, será…

Now piss-off!

The clouds gathering high in the already dank sky, seemingly getting lower, oh my, oh my…
I don’t know why I said that?
This often happens!

Ah, 168, that was obvious…

Better get summat to eat then. Sausages & Spaghetti?
Spaghetti with Mediterranean tomatoes and vegetables, small vegan sausages, Milk Roll sliced bread, and a small pot of orange jelly. I settled to eat it and took this photo on the left. Then I realised I’d still got some large vegan sausages in the oven that I forgot to add to the meal. So I retrieved them and added them to the feast in the bowl on the tray. That’s more like it! Hehehe! T’was not as good as I thought it would be.

Even redder this morning… the urine, I mean!

I had a quick check on the weather. Misty, it stayed that way all day. Although, it wasn’t cold.

I felt the need to go and attend to an evacuation from the rear end. There was no rush, as there was no rumbling or grumbling from the innards. Indeed, I felt sure it was time for Constipation Conrad to make an appearance. I even got the crossword book ready… Huh! I was wrong again!

Another dollop of semi-liquid straw-like-waste was released.
I decided to get a wash and wash after cleaning up the mess from the inner landslide of Trotsky. For a change, I got my magnificent lower parts of my body medicated first, then got the peggies done.  And started shaving…
Now, don’t ask me how I managed it, but as I was getting the dressing gown on, I spotted in the mirror that blood was coming from both nostrils! I know I get confused easily nowadays, but I was pretty sure I hadn’t shoved the razors up my nose! Hehe!
Can you see the pale-looking, handsome, young features of my face?

That was thanks to the cream for the Acne and Excema being applied, maybe too liberally. Carer Christopher arrived and helped me get the PPs on, then issued the medications and got my socks on for me. Thanks, Chris!
Then I popped into the kitchenette and took this depressing-looking Kodak Tim shot of the view. Not much sun got through today. I made up and took the waste bags to the front door. Being a keen, alert young man (Hehehe!) I espied some mail stuck in the letterbox. A new dosage sheet for the Warfarin from the Anticoagulation DVT clinic,
Some unwanted selling bumph and a possible worry-letter. It looked official to me. I’ll get a carer to open it later. (I didn’t remember)

For the next five hours, I spent trying to sort out the CorelDraw, and learn why it was opening different dockers when I clicked to Edit a Bitmap? I never did find out, but it seemed to stop stop of its own accord later on? But, it also changed a;; pf the dockers back to a small size. I could barely see them, and my memory was not good enough to remember. So this is being done using my spyglass! Although, to be fair, for some unknown reason, I seem to remember where and which to us creating paragraph text.
I stretched my legs and went out onto the balcony to take this ‘blotched’ snap of the end car park and standing rain or mud.
Then, I spent another four hours on the blog. Carer Joanne came for the midday checks, and we had a little natter and laugh. It seemed to me an hour later, but it was three when Carer Chris returned. He spent a minute or two showing me how to get the Cheap Camera working. But we could not use it as the card that came with it was a mini-one. Another bash at the blogging. I got tied up with doing the ode for a while. It didn’t flow as easily as it normally did today. The blotches seemed to be getting bigger. So I got the cleaning stick, no good. Then, I used some spectacle cleaning sheets. I may have made it worse!

I was feeling a smidge down, so I thought I’d make myself a brew of Glengettie…
ARRGH!
As I stood up out of the computer chair, pain like never before came from Little Inchy! I grabbed at the Protection Pants to release their grip on Little Inchy and found he was bleeding blood! Haha! Off to the wet room to get the Germolene and Barrier cream applied. I thought the tube must have been chaffing against the Fungal Lesion – but no! It was too loose for that. I made sure that the catheter bag was emptied, but there was very little urine in it to have made it drop down. Puzzled and in pain then – well, I’m still suffering with it now. Gotten Himmel! The sun battled its way through so late in the day.
Carer Christopher made his last after-nibbling and drinkies call. He returned the laundry for me, and I gave him a cold drink and pasty from the fridge. Then I got the washed clothes, hung them up, and put them away. I had a little bother trying to feed the belt through the eyes in all three dressing gowns—well, two of them. One didn’t have its sleeves inside out. All the socks were inside out, though. Hehehe!

I’ll have to finish this in the morning.

Good Morning. I was beyond doing any more blogging. Carere Christopher made the last call. I asked him not to attach the Catheter night bag, as I had plans to make a very late meal.
He left it in the bed for me, so I wouldn’t forget to put it on later. Removed the diabetic socks and gave me an extra painkiller due to Little Inchy’s Fungal Lesion and the catheter tube causing a fair bit of pain. It’s still leaking a few drops of blood as well now and then. Said our farewells, and got the meal prepared and served up. Vegan sausages, potato cakes (well burnt, how I like them), the last of the sugar snap and garden peas. A pot of ketchup with pickle added and two small pots of dessert. A lemon mousse, and an orange and lemon ‘Sour’ jelly. Oh, that was good!

But we do not know for sure. Do you have any ideas?
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

There are times, quite frequently lately, that I don’t want to struggle anymore with problems… well, anything. Which, of course, is an impossibility to achieve. At my age, my mental and physical condition is a smidge on the slope to depths of unmanageability. With Carer Kara about to be off for two weeks, my problem-solving inabilities will no doubt get further behind; the memory devolves into “Sod-It-Mode”, “Self-pity”, and “Confounding-Confusionability” are already at the limit I can cope with at the moment. Now, this morning, as writing, the have started again; below the knee, lumps are getting bigger and thickened for the first time ever. And started failing, in the fashion of, currently not too bad & . Just three times up to now, but on one occasion, when I was in the kitchen, it could have had me over. But for my razor-sharp reactions and cunning anti-fall skills… Alright, I was standing at the sink when it kicked off. I grabbed the edge of the sink and knocked over some plates and cutlery as I fell forward onto the draining board, having missed my grip.
First Carer Shaquille. Then, I got on with the blogging.
Carer Kara arrived. She checked the finances for me. She opened a British Gas Email to try and make sense of it, which I couldn’t. Then, she addressed the Demand for a Meter Reading from me. She went with me to the housing in the lobby outside the door and found that according to the meter, I was on five different rates for electricity! None of them produced a five-digit reading, which BG was asking me to fill in on their website. We were baffled by this! Kara said she’d asked the wardens if they could help. I’m not hopeful. Then again, I’ve been bereft of hope ever since having the stroke.
And still, no one wants to Adopt a Grandad. Hehehe!

I woke around 0215hrs due to the ankle ulcer and electric shocks and decided to get up, as sleep was not an option as the shocks became persistent.

I made a mess of the first attempt to snap the nocturnal pouch. I’m not sure what I did wrong, but the second one seemed to come out a lot better.

Even worse than yesterday!

Rubbish bag to the doorway.

Interesting shot through the balcony door.
I’ve forgotten why it was interesting now. Tsk!

First of the day pouch emptying session
Bits in the urine and bubbles. Erm?

End car park later on.

A late afternoon balcony shot.

Early evening skies.

A beauty to these, I thought.

Hello, back to the Porcelain Throns.
Trotsky was well in command.

Did as described earlier. It helped me settle down on the electricity billing. Not only that, she worked out how I could get the publications linked to Linkedin! I was completely lost on how to do it! Bless her! I’ll miss her when she’s on holiday, by the way I will.

I missed this one, so I loaded it out of sync. Of course, that is nothing remarkable to me, as you know.
My favourite Puffer Clouds soon disappeared as the low outer clouds fell. Or had I loaded one from another day? I am not sure why I put this in. However, I also found this one below.

So, I assume the sunshine sneaking through indicates they were taken together. I’m waffling on here! As the sun passed, these may have been taken early in the morning. Or not. I’m struggling with things today, although I’m doing better with blogging. I thought! Until I spotted the new Grammarly telling me, it had 27 Review suggestions for me. I’d better get them done then. Huh! That took me ages to get sorted.

Nurse Hristina Arrived
Coming from the Deep Vein Thrombosis, Wafarin, INR level, and Anticoagulation blood-taking clinic session. Such a lovely lady. Always a pleasure when she calls.

The intercom rang, and it was an Asda delivery, I thought I’d ordered this for next week? Never mind; the J Sainsbury one must be coming next week.
I asked the driver to put the light things into a box so that I could carry them to the kitchen, which he kindly did. I then moved them from the doorway to the kitchen.
By the time I lugged the bags and box into the kitchen, I was ringing with sweat and breathing heavily. As I just got them into the kitchen, Carer Israel arrived, full of beans and feeling perky. He sorted the medications out for me and took some nibbles as a treat. I gave him a can of grapefruit drink from the fridge, which would cool him down a smidge later. Hehe! Then I got back to sorting the delivery out. Getting the things in the fridge and freezer called for some jiggling about a bit. The fridge loading was easier than the fridge was. In fact, there was still some room in it when I’d finished. Plenty of drinkies in there for the carers to have in this warm weather.
On the other hand, some fodder had to be removed and dished out of the freezer to make room for the newly delivered items. It’s chocker-full now! Damned good job that I ordered J Sainsbury’s order for next week and not this. Else I’d had another load of food to store away! Hehe!

I pressed on with the blogging.

Found this mystery photo on the SD card on Thursday morning.
Looks like an accidental snap to me. Why, when, I’ve no idea! Where? Balcony curtains?
More blotches than ever in this first evening cloud shot. I got the last of the lens cleaner out and tried to clear it again, but it doesn’t seem to work.
The blotches are still there in the second photo I took. I’ll have to see if there is any other cleaner I can buy and try. I’m not too hopeful.
I made a meal – a simple bowl for a simple man. Hehe! But it tasted fantastic. I still can’t believe these no-meat vegan sausages taste so good, but they certainly do.
I cooked the sausages in the oven at 190° for 25 minutes. I added them to the can of tomatoes in the saucepan but forgot to add some salt. Yet the feast tasted so nice. I used Milk Roll bread to put each sausage in and dip it in the tomatoes. Bootifully Satisfying!

I fell asleep watching the Heartbeat episode on Virgin Media, which conned me into buying a new, expensive TV package.
Night Carer Israel came and woke me up. (What’s happening? Have I died? What day and time is it? Hehehe!) and took my diabetic socks off. Israel attached the nocturnal catheter bag to the day bag, treated to nibbles and a drinkie, and off he went. Looking forward to his own bed. Thank you.

Minutes later, I needed to use the. Twice in one day!
And what a controlled evacuation it was! I started quickly and kept flowing and splattering for ages! A lot of cleaning up was required. Which, I’m sure you’ll appreciate, was a little painful and messy, with me carrying the attached to the day bag nocturnal night bag by the tube and trying not to get it tangled up with , or the tube trapped against anything. After finishing the cleaning, I decided to check everywhere for safety, taps (faucets) in the kitchen, fridge & freezer doors, and the stove being left on.  Seeing the view, I fetched and took photos of the evening view.
The fanged blotches were still showing on the snaps. Humph!
So much for cleaning the lens again. A fat lot of good that did for me! Tsk!

Naturally, a man of my intelligence, know-how, keen, alert, spot-on eyesight, educated, mathematician-like operational brain and investigative skills…

Although Putin is threatening,
The West doesn’t seem to be fussing,
The danger they’re not appreciating,
What’s this attitude accomplishing?
Is their ploy not to do anything?
Is NATO not amalgamating?
With WW3 approaching,
Will NATO end up acquiescing?
I find the whole situation depressing,
The last thing I see might be Earth’s atomising?
