Welsh: Dydd Sadwrn 22 Mehefin 2019

02:35hrs. I wok5Fri24e with a determination, rekindled, reignited, rejuvenated, to stop my ever-increasing weight the last few days! Perhaps I’d been dreaming about it, but I cannot recall for sure. I was confident that the oleogustusness of the body had shot up, (not surprising eating meal such as last nights veritable feast – photo right), as I freed the torso from the £300, c1968, ancient, grotty beige coloured rickety recliner. So sure, that I decided to weigh myself, expecting the worse.

As I was using the stick to gain my balance and get up, it became evident that the need for a wee-wee and the Porcelain Throne meant a diversion to the wet room. The damaged toe was far less bother and painful this morning, but I still tried to take care not to have toe-stubbings anymore than I could! No dancing leg, shoulder or arm, cheered me up a tad. But the hand was playing up a bit. Which did cause me some worry. As I got myself gently settled onto the Porcelain Throne. (Naturally, Hehe!) The evacuation went well, only the slightest spot of bleeding from Haemorrhoid Harold, and things were far less messy.

WD 0.0.255c Then a wash and off to the spare (junk) room to weigh my enormously elephantine wobbly body. The mystery of the disappearing scales confused me for a while. After faffling around searching, moving the three and the four-wheeled trolleys, stacks of boxes of Protection Pants, knocking over one of the metal hanger racks, and picking up the togs and replacing them, I found the scales. They were nestled in a corner, under a pile of clothes to take to the Charity Shop? I dug them out and adjusted the setting, so they were correct, and cautiously stood on them… Well, it was not a bad as I thought it would be,  but still up on the last weighing. Although lower than before the stroke, at 14st-9lb. So, the stone I’d lost had gone down to about 9-10lb, I think. So, today onwards, I must try to eat a little less, every bit uneaten must be to my advantage? Semi-Guilty-Mode adopted.

Back to the wet room, for another wee-wee, and what a wee-wee this one was! I didn’t time it, but it must have been close to a record time-wise. But it was only trickling out 6Sat01again, and stinging a bit as it did so. A new classification for this one, a DTPLWW (Dribbling-Trickling-Painful-Long-Wee-wee) Humph!

WD 0.0.255c I took a picture of the poor old stubbed-toe, not an excellent one, mind, the fingers and hands untimely started jumping and the electric-shock-like dancing at that time. Tsk!

Then, I noticed a concern that 6Sat09bothered me a smidge. It looked like the ankle ulcer was coming back. Well, it looked like it to me, I could see the colouring coming on like it did last and the first time. I could feel the same tingling sensation from it as before, just before the growth bursting out?

Fingers-crossed that I am wrong. Mind you, if I recall it rightly, that time, it took me two weeks to get to see the Doctor, who got nurse Ann to bandage it, telling me not to go back, but replace the cream and bandage myself. Made an appointment at some Health Centre, the first one that can see me and is free will be used. Four weeks later, I got a letter appointment to go to the Mary Potter Health Centre, the date was in another fortnight. So, after the leg ulcer appeared, they had like a shot, got me an appointment within two months! Hahaha! Not funny, really, is it? The ulcer had all but cleared up by the time I got there (Which was a struggle, with the clinic not having a bus service that goes near it, Huh!). Then they diagnosed the Axonotmesis and Peripheral Neurosis nerve damage, told me there was nothing they could do about it, and eventually, I will lose the use of the leg and possibly the arm and hand as well. There is no diacatholicon. I remember thanking them! I got myself side-tracked and waffled on a bit there, Sorry!

6Sat10Got the health-checks done and medications taken.

The readings looked much betterer this jolly sunshine-coming-out morning. With, Sys 120, Dia 64, Pulse 74 and Temperature at 34.9°c: Decent looking figures for once?

A bit of a red sky showing. ‘Red sky in the 6Sat06morning, Shepherds Warning’ – I checked on the weather for today on Google. Possible thunderstorms around 16:00 hrs! But not much rain until the early hours of tomorrow morning.

I got on with updating the Friday Inchcock Today. Not too hard a job, the dancing and jumping from the hands, fingers, arm and shoulder was not too bad at the moment. And with so few photographs to publish, I got it done and sent off in almost a record time.

WD 0.0.255c I had to go for a wee-wee, I was using the EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-Wee bucket) by now. They were all of the new DTPLWW (Dribbling-Trickling-Painful-Long-Wee-wee) variety, this one had a tiny bit of blood in it. I may have caught ‘something’ against the top edge, though.

I hand-washed the t-shirt and, left them soaking for a while.

I went to make a brew, and about to take a few shots out through the unwanted, dangerous, hard-to-reach and clean kitchen windows, the ones with the thick plastic light & view-blocking frames, and changed my mind. I went out on the balcony to take a few shots of the Sunday morning views without a single tellurian in sight.

WD 0.0.255c I closed the windows without an injury. It was when I was gathering the walking stick to come back into the flat, that it dawned on me, that I had taken these photographicalisations… with no clothes on underneath the open dressing gown! Coy-embarrassment Mode Engaged! Thank heavens there were no people around! Phew and faugh! I just pray there were no photographers out there, laughing!

WD 0.0.255c I made up a template and got on with today’s creation. The fingers were now getting worse. They were so bad that I tried the ‘Talking to them’, as proposed by Sonia and Caroline. Amazingly it seemed to work, or perhaps they were ready to ease off? No telling, really. But they soon started again, and I swore at them… then again, I usually do this on bad sessions, Humph!

WD 0.0.255c I needed another wee-wee, and the bucket was so full, I decided to take it for emptying and being disinfected. And, damn-well stubbed my toe en route to the wet room! Argh and Asdfghjkl!

This led to a real shocker of a discovery! A fear-indu6Sat08cing moment! Oh, Gawd-blimey, yes!

WD 0.0.255c

Evil ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles!

As I passed the corner stand, I noticed how dusty that my Auntie Kath’s old Snoopy-type ‘Porcelain Peter’ ornament dog had gotten.

I immediately collected him to clean and took him into the kitchen, placing him in the bowl and filling it with hot soapy water

The will-power sank – they are back, I lamented to myself, adding some naughty words in frustration!

After the initial shock, I found that only one of the weevils was alive?

They all came from inside the pottery. I returned to investigate around the corner shelf stand. But could see no more of the cursed Evil ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles EIBWBBBs. I’m all confused now! They felt fresh, not dried out, but all but one that came out in the water were dead?

I can’t remember what time of year they started to wake up in 2018. I pray that they do not start over with their invasion again. Oh, Dangwangles! I checked to see that I had plenty of the bug-killer spray in stock, which thankfully, I had! Mind you, the side-effects of that spray might have helped give me the stroke? I’m even more confused now!

WD 0.0.255c I made another brew, and the ear-holes were itching, and I decided to put some olive oil in them. I was scratching a little, and the blighted fingers started to jump and dance about, and I cut the ear lip with the fingernail! Is it worth carrying on? Hehehe!

I cleaned up and got back to the computer with the mug of tea, and started this blog writing. Eventually getting up to here.

Then I went on the WordPress Reader. Only 08:00hrs now, not having to do Josie’s cheesy potato meal has saved me some hours today, but of course it will cost me some tomorrow. But I was disappointed in the lateness of being adviced of the change of day, but the gal didn’t know her family were going to invite her on the trip to some grand mansion. (blown if I can remember the name of it now. I’m not surprised, though! Haha!

I went to replace the mug of tea that I’d let go cold.

WD 0.0.255c I’d left the damned hot water tap (faucet) running. It had, of course, gone cold. So now, I had eight hours to go before any hot water was available. A showerless stinking day! I pondered over what I could cook for the meal, that would not need a lot of cleaning. I decided that some battered sausages could be oven baked in a foil dish and some baked beans in a saucepan that could be left in soak afterwards, in a kettle of boiled water. So I set about opening (ring-pull) a can of beans… I dropped the ring-pull, bent down leaning on the stick and side of the sink to pick it up… and the flaming arm and shoulders went into one of their dance routines. Which meant I spilt the beans on the floor!

WD 0.0.255c It gets better: I got down to clean up the mess, and struggling up, in what I thought was a careful manner, I clouted the back of my head on the shelf edge!

Good God, it’s not 10:00hrs yet, and I am already a physical and nervous wreck! Lost the scales! Then been talking to my fingers, hand, arm and shoulder! Stubbed my poor toe again! Having a new variety of DTPLWWs (Dribbling-Trickling-Painful-Long-Wee-wees) to contend with. Discovered another leg ulcer coming up! Suffered the Peripheral Neurosis inspired results of dancing fingers, hand, arm, leg and shoulder! I’ve done involuntary flashing while photographicalisationing from the balcony! Cut my ear hole! Discovered invading cursed Evil ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles. Spilt half a can of baked beans on the floor! Clouted my head on the kitchen drainer!  Ran the hot water away! And, there is still so long left for more cockups and disasters!

WD 0.0.255c And now, Horrible Herbert above has started his knocking and banging about!

And what help does one get? “You must be more careful!” Phwert! The Axonotmesis and Peripheral Neurosis dancing right-limbs at any time, the Stroke-induced loss of balance going. The untreated for months toes and feet don’t exactly help.

And Horrible Herbert above is still knocking and banging about! But this is acceptable, the Generalfeldmarschalless Housing Patch Manager/ Catwalk Model, Angela Gould says so! Which it is, of course, it’s just me getting ratty and sorry for myself over my ill-fortune today – Naughty Inchcock!

Sorry about that verbal outburst. But, things ain’t good at the moment, and there are no signs of any immediate improvement.

I made another replacement brew for another one that I let go cold. Then went on the TFZer site Facebooking. I stopped briefly to get the potatoes in the oven cooking and returned to the Facebooking for another two hours or so, then back to cheese-up the potatoes and put them back in the oven to brown off the tops.

6Sat13Some sorting of paperwork, then got the nosh served up.

I had to boil some water to leave the soaking utensils in a soak in the sink.

WD 0.0.255c I had one helluva Dizzy Dennis spell, just as got the fodder arranged on in the deep dish. Thankfully, only a short one. It’s a good job I had the stick with 6Sat14me at the time.

The meal was as disappointing a one as I’ve ever made. Shame! The sausages were tasteless and fatty, the beans were overcooked and just as insipid and unappetising as the rest of the meal. I even made a mess of the cheesy potatoes! They were poorly mixed and lumpy! Shame-Mode-Engaged! Flavour rating was given, of only 4/10! Most of it was thrown away, and naughty nibbles were eaten as a substitute!

The clearing up and cleaning afterwards was fine, for the hot water had come back on, which helped de-miserablise the situation somewhat!

I had hoped to watch the two ladies football matches. The Germany v Nigeria, then the Netherlands v Australia. The first match was a cracker. The Australia (who I wanted to win) v Netherlands match, was on too late for me to stay awake!

When I got to sleep, dreams made it a restless night. Hey-Ho!

Inchcock Today – Thur 20 June 2019: A visit from my mate Michael, saved a chronically bad day!

Hawaiian: Pōʻalima 20ʻO Lune 2019

03:30hrs. I was full of beans, psyched-up, full of pep, vitality, high-spirits, and ready for anything the day threw at me when I stirred into semi-life this morning. Then I moved… I was freeing my overweight torso from the £300 second-hand. c1968, rickety, near dilapidated, ramshackle, grungy-beige, sometimes working, rusty recliner, to use the emergency grey wee-wee bucket…

WD153.51.0 4Thu03And I gave the already, wounded, still-tender, bashed about right toe, another right-good stubbing on the Ottoman!

The feeling full of beans, being psyched-up, in high spirits, and ready for anything the day threw at me when I stirred into semi-life this morning, declined, ebbed then vanished (probably permanently) into the ether!

The wee-wee was of the rare SPSHPLWW (Short-Painfull-Semi-Hose-Pipe-Like Wee-Wee) variety. Which didn’t help the rapidly-destroyed and dematerialised spirits, either!

I got the hand-washed t-shirt and socks on the stand-up airy. Took the medications and turned my attention to making up a blog on yesterday’s Tropical House visit. This took me several hours, with so many photographicalisations needing sorting out. However, the fingers, arm, and shoulder were not doing their Hokey-Cokey routine. Well, they were, but only for a few seconds each time, this was encouraging, I can cope with this.

So, by the time I had got it finished and posted-off to WordPress, In between a much-varied selection of wee-wees), it was a good four hours beyond my posting time for the previous days dairy.

4Thu001I did the belated health checks, which did not look good today. Sys 89, Dia 69, Pulse 105, and Temperature 34.1°c.

I made a mug of tea, and a heard a muffled sound from the hallway. Some mail had arrived, well a circular. It was about avoiding false Fire Alarms. The advice was the usual, but I wish they had added to their ‘Cook with care, switch cooker off,’ with, in between uses!

4Thu04The morning was nice and bright, even a bit of sun came out.

WD153.51.0 I made a start on updating the Wednesday diary. And what a job that was, the electric-like dancing fingers, right leg and shoulder were now coming on for more extended periods, making more corrections and time needed than ever to be sorted out. Most vexatious! I had to have a rest.

4Thu05I got some sliced mushrooms in the crock-pot with a splash of the 40% balsamic vinegar, and podded some peas and got them in the saucepan.

I thought I had done an excellent job, added a little vinegar and demerara sugar. When I was doing the pot cleaning, I espied one pea on the floor. How he escaped, I don’t know! Hehe!

I got the ankle-strapping on, then remembered I am not supposed to wear it without socks on. Klutz! Tsk!

The landline light flashed. It was my old mate Michael, he was checking to see if I was in or not. Great! He’s on his way to see us.

For a phlyarologist, I surprised myself as I persistently nattered with myself for the next hour. I chinwagged of the Porcelain Throne, chattered in the kitchen and waffled having another wee-wee. The so-called conversation for mostly a two-way disaster. With much of self-talk topic or subject matter being forgotten as I spoke it. Humph!

4Thu05aMichael arrived, and I was over the moon to have a great, proper two-way varied discussion for an hour or more. I wasn’t aware that Michael had had three strokes, and it proves his determination, they only kept him in the hospital for three days last time! Then he found out he should have gone to another hospital or clinic, but nobody had told him! Yes, we share our luck sometimes, Mike and me! I regretted it when he had to go, but it was great of him to call, and it cheered me up considerably! I tried to take his photo as he got in his car, but the shakes meant I could not take one in time. Still, I got his tank with him in it! Haha! The one on the left.

4Thu06Feeling a little blue after he had departed, I heard more muffled sounds, so checked, and I had had three letters delivered. The Warfarin INR level results. A letter from Boots opticians Which I screwed up an threw in the recycling bin. And, a message about the fitting of the upgrading of the door-entry Intercom communication.the very thought of any electricians working in the flat, gives me goose-bumps and scares me to death, at the thought of having to clean up after them!

At last, gone 13:00hrs, I made a start on this blog! Eight hours at least, later than usual!

4Thu27I got the nosh on that wasn’t already on, and put some chips (fries) in the oven.

Had another heck of an extra long wee-wee of the LSPWWW (Long Slow Painful Weak Wee-wee) mode.

Then got the nosh served up. Good one, nice mixture. 7.5/10 flavour rating.

Medications and I got down in the c1968 rickety recliner, to watch the ladies football matches. I started jumping twixt channel 9 and 61 on Freeview, between the two games being shown… I woke up and could not get back to sleep after the football had all finished. Spit!

Inchcock Today – Wednesday 19th June:

Wednesday 19th June 2019

Italian: Mercoledì 19 Giugno 2019

02:45hrs: WD 0.0.50 W I woke, (a decent six-hours kip) this Wednesday with an unnatural desire, nae, craving, to get the hand-washing I did last night, to the drying process. It was as if it was crucial, life-threatening or catastrophic consequences would be suffered if I di3Wed01d not get the t-shirt and socks onto the drier?

This was not a velleity! But an essential, vital job that needed to be done post-haste, at least it did to me at the time? I don’t know or understand why, either!

I extracted the increasingly more massive torso from the £300 second-hand, c 1968, rickety, gungy-beige, occasionally working, vintage recliner. I totally ignored the need for a wee-wee and got the hand-washing bits on the drier. And for some weird reason, a feeling of satisfaction overcame me?

I responded to the need for a wee-wee, using the almost-full EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-Wee bucket). It was of the LSPDOWWs (Long-Slow-Painfull-Drawn-Out-Wee-wee) variety, the type that actually wears me down a bit, all the waiting, praying and hoping for an end to the evacuation. Hehe! A long time later, all was done, and I emptied and sanitised the (often life and embarrassment saving) grey bucket, and disinfected it.

On to the computer, to update the Tuesday Inchcock. The computer or maybe the internet was very slow, but on the plus side, the right fingers, hand, arm, shoulder, and legs were a lot more kind to me, and their little electricity-inspired dances were few and far between. I can’t win, can I? The Axonotmesis, and the Peripheral Neuropathy damage to the nerves, for once eases off – which is terrific! But the flipping computer or internet plays up!

While on the computer, I found out I had been alive for 26,228 days, 3,747 weeks, 861 months, 37768321 minutes, 629472 hours, and 2266099348 seconds! Hehehe!

3Wed01aYet, still, I suffer ailments (Issues as used by the NHS departments who refused to tend to my toenail cutting and pediatric needs – no, I mean podiatry needs). I suffer from abasia, ischaemia, anxiousness, nervousness, equivocation, aquaphobia, ophidiophobia, I regularly get urine infections, insipience, I’ve overcome alcoholism, got inscience, get panic-attacks, absent-mindedness, and anandriousness. I stopped smoking, Arthur Itis, Shaking Shaun, Dizzy Dennis, Peripheral neuropathy, Lethologica, Axonotmesis, Have a metal/plastic ticker, never got beyond being a Prol, aboulomania, arithmophobia, atrial septal defect, duodenal ulcers, dysphoria, deafness, colour blindness, and prostate cancer. Bullied at school, been shot, generalised anxiety disorder (GAD), made redundant twice, loneliness, then had a stroke, lost mobility, balance, and coordination. And I was granted at birth, with the smallest most embarrassingly miniscule whatsit, anyone has ever seen! A source of total shame, embarrassment, awkwardness, mortification, self-consciousness, shame, humiliation, and shyness in my younger years. Thus the weltschmerz joins this list!

But you don’t like to complain does yer!

In between a few more LSPDOWWs (Long-Slow-Painfull-Drawn-Out-Wee-Wee) wee-wees, I got the Tuesday post finished and sent off to WordPress and emailed.

I took some photographs of the early fog, which soon turned to a light mist.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

I went to take the medications, do the health checks, and make a brew of tea. The flipping sphygmomanometer needed three tries to get it to take. The results all looked fair to me: Sia 95, Dia 71, Pulse 34.9, and Temperature at 34.8°c.

I sudden call to the Porcelain Throne arrived, so off to the wet room. I went there without the stick. Although pleased with how I coped, I knew it was a silly thing to do. If the leg and arm started doing their involuntary ‘Hokey-Cokey’, I could have been in trouble. I must remember, no matter how galling it seems, I must take the stick or trolley-guide with me everywhere I go indoors.

3Wed05a1I’d got the camera in my dressing gown pocket though, and decided to show you a picture of, possibly the most lethal piece of equipment in the apartment! Indeed, this month it has been, Hahaha!) The right big toe stubbing leg on the Red Cross provided second-hand used toilet seat raiser. I actually flinched as I took this photographicalisation! At the thought and memories of past-picklements and toe stubbings, I’ve had recently! Hehe!

Virg8 black

Grumphski!

Turned all off, swore, and went to get the ablutions done. I took my time and was careful, all went smoothly. Got smelling nice, then dressed and readied the trolley, etc. for setting out to the Doctors to beg for some Biprolalol Beta-Blockers.

WD 0.0.50 W Then a thought came to me, (it has been known before, although not very often). I think that Caroline and or Sonia is due today? So I decided to go down to the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights, Generaloberstesses Wardens Temporary HQ. WC, Holding cells. Rumourmongering Clinic. Sarcasm & Insult distribution area. Tenants Socialisationalistic zone. Telling Inchcock off thumbscrew room. Crockery and pottery to be stolen from location, and residents porta-cabin, and ask Obersturmführeress Warden and pole-dancer Deana, if she could phone them for me to be sure.

Just as I was about to go out, the landline light flashed. It was the surgery with the INR results and new doses. Took them down, thanked her and shot off out.

I got down and onto Chestnut Walk3Wed05a1a, and took a photo of the ‘Turf Accountant Gang’. The lads were laying the lawn in front of Woodthorpe Court.

T’was then I realised I had come out without the £2 second-hand rust-cased wristwatch. So back in, up in the lift and to the flat. I collected the watch.

Down and out again.

I met Sturmbannführeress Warden Deana as she arrived at the foyer door. I asked her, and she willingly called the Stroke Team for me. They were due today at 10:00hrs. I thanked Deana, and back in, up in the lift and to the flat, again.

I did of hoovering until both of the girls arrived…

WD 0.0.50 W On their last ever visit! (Gawd, life can be so cruel!) Sonia said she would have a talk with the nurse, to see if she can help sort out the tablet shortages for me. Caroline will refer me to an After-Stroke team who hold a weekly support group. The course will last for 18 weeks, and try to get me in the morning meetings.

The last farewells and cheerios with the ladies put me on a real downer!

Fed-up, I decided to catch the bus to anywhere! The mind mussed as I got things ready. I’ll go to Arnold, take some photographs, and get some pod peas. I was in a totally uninspired and dispiritingly dejected mood.

I was only half-with-it as I left the flats with the three-wheeled trolley-guide and shoulder bag with me.

WD 0.0.50 W I ambled out, not really with any oomph or gusto, just a determination to rid myself of the miserableness that had taken over my life, but no idea how to, and along to the bus stop.

WD 0.0.50 W A good crowd were at the bus stop, they were off for dinner at the cafe in Arnold. As I was handing out some nibbles, a chap came up with bad news: The Arnold bound L9 bus had broken down in town, and might not even get here at all! This would make a lot of folks late in getting to the diner. Many individual’s ideas, some people accepted lists from other tenants, some waited for the bus, others called for a taxi. Not a happy bunch of Winwoodonians at all! Oh, dear!

I pondered as I waited for the City bond L9 to arrive. And decided to go up to Woodborough Road on the bus, do some shopping, and made the penurious, masochistic decision to walk back down and through Woodthorpe Grange Park and nip in the Tropical gardens.

WD 0.0.50 W (Which proved to be one of my most painful ever mini-marathons, Humph!)

3Wed12

I made a full pictorial blog about this ill-fated, painful and miserable trip, and posted it the first computer task in the morning. https://gerrynottingham.blog/2019/06/20/72227/

3Wed01cI alighted the bus, and battled the scary traffic on my way first, to the greengrocers. Where I got some pod peas, not many, they were not in a very-fresh condition, toe big potatoes for Josie and me at the weekend, and some eggs.

Back out and I decided to catch a bus back down to the flats, as the feet and toes were particularly painful now.

I wandered down to see if the butcher had any cooked belly pork. He hadn’t, but I didn’t need it. The mood I was in probably had me yearning for some comfort food? All sorry for myself, pathetic!

WD 0.0.50 W But worse, as I came out of the shop, I stubbed my already-in-agony toe on the trolley wheels liting it done the step!

3Wed01dWD 0.0.50 W Then I had to stand pretending to take an interest in my surroundings and took a photograph, till the pain eased a bit. While I stood there, I saw the L9 bus go by early! Oy Vey!

Further dejected, I reverted to my plan to walk back down, through Woodthorpe Grange Park. I called in the mini-Sainsbury store en route and bought some oven-bottom-baked cobs, 3Wed01etomatoes and something else, can’t remember what at the moment.

I resorted the buys, and everything went in the shoulder bag, then into the trolley, well, I hung the container on the cart and set off on the marathon hobble home, down the steer Woodthorpe Drive hill.

WD 0.0.50 W I seemed to have gained the ability at, last, to stop the mind thinking, as I walked do3Wed01fwn the road, even when a pavement cyclist came up towards me, it didn’t really register. I was taking the shot to capture the speed-sign on the kerbside further down Woodthorpe Drive.

I kept stopping to ease the foot and toe, but by now, it didn’t bother me too much, and I have no idea why, but the discomfort was immense. And that’s not the right word either!

3Wed01gWD 0.0.50 W The humour returned home to me, a little further on down the road, as I took this photograph to use for a funny at some time in the future. Something like “I was not speeding with my three-wheeled trolley, here’s the proof!” Hehehe!

Down and around the bend, I arrived at the car park entrance, for the park. Hobbling through, I opted to take a rote to the Tropical Garden, 3Wed01hthat was new to me.

WD 0.0.50 W Crossing the car park into the fields and paths, I gave myself one hell of a good toe-stubbing against the broken road surface! I wish that I’d taken the four-wheeled-guide with me now, then I could have at least had a sit on it while I recovered. I imagine that the toe will be pretty… a bad word that let’s say well-blue by the time I get back home! Grumph! Gawd the pain is 3Wed01Kexcruciating!

WD 0.0.50 W After a while getting lost, I fond the entrance gates to the Garden Centre and Tropical Garden. And procedure through them, stubbing the toe against the broken roadway!

Now I really was getting irritated and annoyed with myself!

WD 0.0.50 W I found a low wall and had a sit-down… then got up as I realised ants were covering my feet and trouser legs… and stubbed the toe once again! To avoid embarrassment, I left this out of the Maraton Hobble blog! Oy Gevalt!

Just when, and the only time ever; I would have welcomed the damned leg doing one of its out-of-control hokey-cokey dance routines, it wouldn’t! I spent an age trying to painfully free myself of those invading ants, I’m not sure there are not some still in my pants!

3Wed01mAfter what seemed like a fortnight, I got myself at last moving again, gingerly, carefully and with a certain amount of trepidation, and briefly visited the Garden shop, nothing of interest in it for me.

Then, at last, I got to the Tropical House. Many more photographs in the dedicated blog near the top photo. The spectacles and camera lens misty-up with the heat. They must be in the middle of sorting things out afresh, cause man tree, bushes and flowers that were in there last time, had been uprooted. The bear had been moved too.

3Wed01ROn my leaving, I spotted the sign about the automatic door. If it’s automatic, why do you need to press the button to open it? Haha!

I made my way, not only in pain, but now feeling drained and tired, and a smidge of an annoying self-Pity-Mode came on.

The rest of the hobble-home seems to have a lot of detail from the brain?

3Wed12aa

3Wed10I know it was terribly painful.

Back at the hospital, no, home at last!

It looked like a ghost town.

I crossed over the road, in the lobby, up in the elevator, around to the flat and got in, with not a soul in sight.

Before doing anything, I had a wee-wee, a long smarting wee-wee! Washed, took a painkiller. Then got two eggs in the saucepan ready for boiling. Sliced and buttered the bottom-of-the-oven baps, and sliced some tomatoes.

Put the purchases away, and changed into my night attire.

3Wed11No fancy meals tonight, no time. I was in agony with both feet and the right big toe, and I wanted to stay awake long enough to watch the England Ladies match against Japan.

So, the battered haddock lump, two eggs, (disappointingly I’d bought the small eggs and not the double-yolk ones, Huh!). Tomatoes and put the eggs into a bap as I ate them! Too tired to be fussy tonight (well, this late afternoon) Although shattered, I ate it all and enjoyed it. A flavour-rating of 7.2/10 for this one.

Washed the pots and settled in the £300 second-hand, c1968, grotty-beige, rickety recliner. Hoping no one would phone or ring t3Wed12bhe doorbell.

I fell asleep and missed the beginning of the football match. I’m so glad they had won the game, but it was nerve-making.

Then I couldn’t get back to sleep.

Worra day!

Inchcock Today – Tues 18 June 2019: A mixed bag of a day, with a few Whoopseidangleplops of course!

Croatian: Utorak, 18. Lipnja 2019

(Who won the World Cup till France stole it by the ref cheating)

04:20hrs. On waking, I was amazed at how light2Tue01 it was – then saw the time, and understood. I had enjoyed over eight hours sleeping! Well, I must have needed and inwardly clamoured for it?

My EQ sensed and told me that today was going to be a struggle, despite this outwardly encouraging, but a late start to the day. And it was dead-right!

My heaving my generously-meaty-torsoed body out of the £300 second-hand, c1968, rickety, gunky-beige, sometimes working recliner, free (apart from the feet), of any pains of hassles, was not fooling me this time! Today, I listened to my EQ! (Not that it helped, really, Tsk!)

I made my way to the EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-wee Bucket) and relieved myself by means of an LSPDOWWs (Long-Strong-Painfull-Drawn-out-Wee-wee). Glad I got that out of the way! This was followed by a call to the Porcelain Throne. Sat there, the 1958TV Cannonball theme song came into mind, and stayed there. I’ve been singing it to myself all day! Probably, with Timothy Price’s brilliant writing and singing the Neropathetic Mambo song for me. Hehehe!

I did the hand washing, just a t-shirt and a pair of 1Mon26new, extra-long diabetic socks.

Bach to the Porcelain Throne for another heavy-duty session. Mmm? It went well, not too messy.

I must say, the stubbed toe felt much improved this morning. (Little did I know what was coming up later – Humph!)

I then went on the computer and the Google Calendar, to check dates for this week. I had no ING nurse appointment but assumed she will be coming tomorrow, Wednesday, the same as last week. The only other item was the Asda delivery twixt 06:00 and 0:700hrs. So I did no2Tue02t have long before I needed to do the ablutions before it arrives. I barely had the time, to add the link to Timothy Prices wonderfully done song to my post in response to his new link. He’s put it on his site as well. It took me two hours!

I did the sphygmomanometerisationing, first before doing the ablutions. The readings looked fine to me.

Off to get the ablutions done. No shaving cuts, 2Tue03no stubbing of the toe, and no dropping anything, either.

All went well, (worrying to me that was, you know!).

I got a pair of the shorter bamboo socks on after the shave, shower and teggies were all sorted. These have a thinner foot covering, so might not hassle the toenails so much as the 2Tue06new longer ones do.

I foolishly allowed myself, to get into a sort of over-optimistic, self-deluded, virtually content state of mind, after everything had gone so well with the Accifauxpas and Whoopsiedangleplop free ablutionalisationing session. Nebech that I have become, a fool of the highest order! Humph!

The Asda delivery arrived minutes laterIMG_0372. The driver told me it included some freebies this week. So, when I saw some Quorn Vegetarian Bacon fall out of one of the bags, I naturally assumed this would be one of the freebies. I thanked the young man and took the food through to the kitchen and unloaded them.

WD 0.51.0c And what a mess they had made of the order! None of the deliveries from any store has a printed copy of the order nowadays. Of course, they claim it is to save trees! But if we have a query or problem, it must be brought up at the delivery with the driver! Who does not have time to wait for you to check on the computer! Anyway, the freebies were a little pouch of freshener and two Muller Caramel yoghourts. It turns out that my order for the fresh Quorn vegetarian hot dogs was substituted with frozen vegetarian bacon! Four flaming packets! There was not enough room in the freezer. I had to take stuff out and remove the contents from the boxes to make room! Now I remember why I stopped using Asda deliveries! Grumph and curse!

2Tue08I went to make a brew and got some mushrooms sliced, and peas podded and put them in the slow-cooker.

I spotted down below, the new cross-over for residents of the new extra-care Winwood block, was almost finished. I took a snap of it from the unwanted, work-making, finger trapping new balcony.

2Tue09The sky looked so enigmatic, no, that’s not the word, is it? Delineated, almost like it was a painting. Wonderful!

At this stage, I had to take another wee-wee. Not had one of this type for a while, and I can do without them, now, I might say. An annoying ELDWWIEWW (Extra-Long-Dribbling-When-Will-It-End-Wee-Wee)!

WD 0.51.0c Then I realised I had not taken the morning medications, so I did.

Time for me to get off to the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights, Hauptbereitschaftsleiteress Warden’s Temporary HQ. Sarcasm & Insult distribution area. Tenants Socialisationistical Meeting Shed. Telling Inchcock off Zone. Where things like crockery and pottery get stolen from, Rumourmongering Clinic, Excellently designed painful toe-stubbing entrances and doors, and somewhere to rest while waiting for the bus, Portakabin. In the hope that Oberschützeress Warden and Catwalk Model Deana is in, so I can beg for help with filling in the Sherwood Health Clinic form.

WD 0.51.0c I made the wrong choice, then! A really lousy decision. But, as things physically were going so well this morning, I decided to go with only the walking stick, on the hobble to see Warden Deana. Inside the block, all went well, but when I got outside, on Chestnut Way, on the uneven ground, as I took an unbalance trip, and the dancing and jumping started in the leg, the walking stick came down dreadfully hard on the poor old stubbed toe! The suffering started! I arrived at the hut, and Warden Deana kindly filled in the form for me. We had a bit of a chat for a few seconds before she had a visitor to deal with. I thanked her, and limped, really did struggle, to walk back to Woodthorpe Court.

But I did not let the pain put me off of taking a photo of the buildings, showing their progress.

As I kept stopping en route to let the toe stinging ease-off, I spotted I know not what on some wildflowers on the hedging. Can anyone tell me what they were? There was several of them, about meat fly size, but they were of a fantastic black and orange colouration.

It was difficult taking the pictures, as the hands had started dancing again.

I got home without seeing anyone in the flats. And was feeling a little self-disgust, at my not taking the trolley-guide with me, and not relying on the stick. I should have known, my EQ had warned me as well! What a Nebbish! Oy Vey!

2Tue12dI was feeling a little unlucky, and I have to admit, a tad sorry for myself. Pathetic, I know!

Got the coat and shoes off, slippers back on, made a brew and took myself somewhat painfully out on the balcony for a little sulk. I don’t remember why now, but I took this close-up zoomed-in shot of some houses. I think at the time, I had an idea to make a funny or thought later.

At long last, I pulled myself together, and a made a start on updating the Monday post. It was a real moral sapper of a session. The lack of concentration, combined with the hassle from the electrified-like fingers dancing and jumping, were making progress frustrating and oh so slow. Which is not what I wanted, having started so late on the update, mate! Ah, poetry creeps in. Gawd the mistakes, and amount of time correcting things. Humph!

The landline light flashed, and for once, I was sorry at all in getting interrupted. I’m afraid things are getting to me today. Anyroad up, it was Brother-in-law Pete calling. With me being already hours past my usual time for sending off the blog, he was concerned about me. Nice that! He asked about Amazon returns, and we spoke for a short while. Nice to talk to someone.

WD 0.51.0c I pressed on and got the post finished. By then, I was over seven hours behind my regular time for getting it sent off! This was due to the extra sleeping, which I assume I must have needed.

WD 0.51.0c I was about to make a start on this blog, and the intercom chimed out and flashed. It was the INR nurse. I didn’t know she was due today. Erica said she rang yesterday to tell, but I didn’t answer the phone. I felt almost chastised! She hurriedly took the blood, responded to her mobile and shot off, saying she might see me next week. I hope they are not going to make me go to the surgery for the blood tests again? Oh dear! I thanked her and off she ran.

On the computer again. By the time I had got all the emailing of the link done, it was well gone 13:00hrs!

I got some of this blog done. Then went on TFZer Facebooking, add photos and visit the Troll Free Zone.

Now I am knacke… very tried. Haha!

Getting the din-dins done. Trying some of the vegetarian bacon. It looks horrible in the oven tray, but we’ll see.

Well, it fooled me, it still looked odd on the plate, but it was tasty! A flavour rating of 8/10, surprised me!

2Tue22

Washed the pots up, and did the hand-washing to save time in the morning.

WD 0.51.0c Then it was the usual, watching telly, nodding-off, waking, view the TV, change channels, with a sort of habrobaniacal unawareness of what the heck was going on.

Ah-well!

Inchcock Today – Mon 17 June. Includes the photographicalisationing short hobble to Sherwood, that took me nearly three hours!

2019 June 19

Monday 17th June 2019

Welsh: Dydd Llun 17 Mehefin 2019

WD 176.0.93 02:30hrs. I woke so slowly it was hard to believe it was happening. The mind’s initial refusal to accept the very thought of waking-up, the clinomania, was stubborn. Thinking the brain was about to go into one of its uhtceare-moments, I had to adopt agrypnotic ideas to encourage and convince myself of the need to get out of the £300, second-hand, gungy-beige, c1968, sometimes-working, rickety recliner. I tried convincing myself that, “I have to get ready to go to the Doctor’s about the shortage of Beta-blockers” and “Ask about the mislaid, never to be seen Cancer Sample envelope again!”, and was answered with a distant, but not very committed, “Sod-you!” from within the grey-cells! As luck would have it, the rather sudden and urgent need for a wee-wee, forced my brain and body to engage reluctantly.

I hauled myself out of the rickety-rusty recliner, got the stick and caught my balance, winced at the pain from the feet, and took the few paces to the EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-wee Bucket), only to find it was almost full to the brim. Very carefully, I took it to the WC and emptied and sanitised, cleaned and disinfected the bucket, all hygienic for later use.

When the need arrived, conveniently timed for once, for the Porcelain Throne activities, I went through the final sample-taking routine and completed the pouch-card. I had a bit of a job cleaning up afterwards, as usual, the front end and rear end activated together.

1Mon01aWD 176.0.93 Finalising the sorting-out of the wet room, it happened again – I stubbed the dodgy toe on the WC seat-riser’s metal leg!

Amazingly, the pain was far less than usual, so things must be improving with the toe?

This brought on a degree of cerebricity, and I decided to sort out the medications, do the health checks, and make a brew of Glengettie tea. The test results were a little out of sync: Sia 89, Dia 62, Pulse 95, and the Temperature was okay at 34.9°c.

Then, I got the computer going, and made a start to this blog and here. Then updated the Sunday post, which I had almost forgotten to do. Klutz! The hand, arm, and finger dancing were not too bad this morning (But give it time, Tsk!).

Went to make another mug of tea and have an LSPDOWW (Long-Slow-Painfull-Drawn-out-Wee-wee). The bucket is getting filled up again. Humph!

I could1Mon07 see the Sherwood Health Centre from the unwanted new kitchen window. All lit up with the yellow lights in the car park. I was pretty pleased with the zoomed in shot of it I took with the Canon camera.

I checked on the Google Calendar for the upcoming appointment I have there, with the Podiatrist. I thought it was this Friday, but no, it’s for Friday 28th July, at 10:40hrs. By the time I get there, I dread to think what state the feet and toenail growth will be like. The pains from the tootsies and feet are growing worse every day. Sob!

I spotted the moon still out and hobbled to fetch the camera. By the time I had got back in the room, the clouds had covered it, shame. Then I took two shots of the view ahead, the second one from the balcony. I took extra care in opening the window metal spring release catch this time, no cuts, grazes or bruise acquired. Hehe!

1Mon07a

The pictures came out brighter than things really were to my eyes?

1Mon07cI carried on with blogging for a while, and I had to use the bucket several times, all for LSPDOWWs (Long-Slow-Painfull-Drawn-out-Wee-wees). I had to again take the bucket for emptying and sanitisationing.

Back to the kitchen for another mug of tea, and the sun was coming through from behind the flats, so I got the Canon in use again.

1Mon07dI notice that down in the shadows, below, in the Chestnut Way bushes near the footpath, some wood pigeons were seemingly airing themselves out.

I grabbed the camera and mounted the step ladder, but it was too dangerous a job for me. So I went on the balcony and photographed a well-zoomed-in shot of one of the birds. I had to take about eight photos before I got one that was not coming out too blurry. The hands and fingers were beginning to do their unintentional hokey-cokey dancing routines again. This problem stayed with me for a long time, and back on the computer, I got feeling a tad depresses at all the mistakes and corrections that were needed. Grump!

Time to tend to the ablutions. So, wearily I got to the wet room, and shuddered when I saw the seat-riser metal legs, and told myself not to stub the toe again! And I avoided it! Smug-Mode Adopted!

-The teggie-cleaning and shaving went well and blood-loss-less! Haha! Just as well, cause the INR level is on 6.0, which is twice as thin as the blood should be. So any cuts could prove bothersome. The Radio Nottingham gave out rain warnings for tomorrow, but I missed todays. But I don’t intend to go out until the long Bamboo-diabetic socks are delivered. I checked the delivery-tracker on the web, they have not been dispatched yet and will arrive sometime before 21:00hrs. So it looks like I’ve no choice but to stay in again. I was hoping for the best, and an early delivery, so I can get out to get some more pod-peas and call to tell the doctor about the beta-blocker shortage. I don’t hold out much hope, though! Being the accident-prone, accifauxpas-attracting, cataclysmic-cajoling person I am, I have little confidence, belief, or experience of good luck, Rather the expectancy of daily dubitationally c1Mon09ataclysmic exigencies. These don’t let me down, they are almost guaranteed!

I got the bath towel hand-washed, rinsed and on the stand-up airer.

Caught up with some updating on this blog, then went on CorelDraw to attempt to create some graphics for later use. Hopefully, I will have some success this time. A managed a few hours, and then the damned weariness and dizzies came on. I hate it when this happens.

The new socks were delivered early! Hurrah!

I accepted them, tinking they were very light in1Mon10 weight, and went tp the wet room, and utilised the sock-glide. Which, with the new socks being too long, was a bit of a battle. I ended up with some bruises, courtesy of the metal glide. Hehe! But I managed to get them on without drawing any blood this time.

Sexy eh? Hahaha!

I got myself all prepared for a hobble to Sherwood for some nosh I cannot get anywhere else. Many, Wilko liquid soapflakes, Exotic scented Ylang & Freesia softener and granules, fresh pod peas from the co-op and red lettuce, then sourdough bread from the Post Office shop. I expect I’ll return with other stuff, as well! Dressed and got the four-wheeled trolley-walker, and small shoulder bag with me.

1Mon12I set off, down Chestnut Way. Not being able to use the footpath, due to lighting repairs or cleaning, I limped up the roadway.

Calling in the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights, Hauptbereitschaftsleiteress Warden’s Temporary HQ. Sarcasm & Insult distribution area. Tenants Socialisationistical Meeting Shed. Telling Inchcock off Zone. Where things like crockery and pottery get stolen from, Rumourmongering Clinic, and somewhere to rest while waiting for the bus, Portakabin. A few folks in today, so I handed out some nibbles, had a little chinwag, and continued on my journey.

1Mon13As I turned down the Winchester Street hill, the brakes on the trolley were hardly capable of stopping the guide from running away.

When I stopped to photograph a bee in the bushes, I had to rest the trolley against the fencing, and lock on the brakes, to be on the safe side.

Not the best of pictures, but okay for me, with the hand-shaking, it was a fairish effort, taken with the left hand. (Not easy, but better than dancing digits of the right limb, Hehe!)

1Mon14I carried on down to Mansfield Road, and right up to the Co-op Store. The feet were particularly painful again. I hope I can manage until a week on Friday, when the poor feet and toes will get a check-over, after waiting to fifteen weeks or so, it’s probably longer. Grumph! Niggle!

I came out embarrassed with the Ylang granules, spray and softener. But also with shaving foam and Duracell batteries, cost in total £27.50, the batteries cost £13.50 for twelve of them, that was an offer price, the ticket said.

After paying the young lady, she saw I was struggling to get my things into the bag, and I was d1Mon15ropping stuff, thanks to the finger and hand dancing that had just come on from nowhere, and she helped me, bless her. Much to the annoyance of those in the queue behind me. Oh, dearie me!

As I exited the shop, the clouds in the sky looked threatening. I fudged and fumbled about trying to get the umbrella from the shoulder bag.

1Mon16Seconds later, the sky was all bright again? Beats me why?

I crossed the pelican lights and went into the Post Office shop in search of some Polish sliced sourdough bread. They had some on the shelves, but it felt old and a little too hard, so I exited the premises and back out over the crossing back to the other side of the road, and had a nosey in the charity shop.

1Mon17As I was going into the shop up the dodgy steps, I took this photograph I found on the SD card, but do not have much idea why? Ah, I see her now! Ahem!

Nothing of interest in the charity shop. But there was another serious-looking, catalogue holding member of the famous Nottinghamian ‘Anything-to-make-a-profit-from brigade, to watch! I love identifying them! All the usual 1Mon18recognition signs were there; Consulting a book while perusing the China ornaments, keeping his back to the assistants, and wearing a shifty look on his face! Haha! I departed and walked up Mansfield Road and called in the Card Shop for a nosey. I did make some purchases in this shop, however. A grand total £2.88, blow the expense! Some Thank You cards and a little plaque for sister Jane, but don’t tell her, will you?

1Mon19After a nose in A.C. Allan, my optician’s window (well, he has some gorgeous looking young assistants working there! Haha!), I moved on.

I took a photograph of the main road. The little dog having a walk was giving it some verbals, which attracted me in the first place. Bless her 1Mon20or him.

As I was trying to take a one-left-handed picture from just before the bus shelter, this turd, git, swine and ignorant young male pavement cyclist almost clouted into me on his freewheeling belt down the Mansfield Road footpath.

Luckily on this occasion, there were not many pedestrians about, he probably only had me to intimidate and bully?

1Mon21As I got to the L9 and others bus stop, I took a seat, (A rare happening for me!) to ease the pain from the suffering plates and tootsies, that were getting worse than ever, pain-wise. I spotted a pig-ignorant, uncaring, slob of a Herbert on the other side of Mansfield Road, making his way up the hill, nonchalantly on the Pedestrian Footpath. I tried to take a snap of him, but this is the result (Left). A car’s untimely appearance. Hehe!

However, I did manage to get a picture of the mis1Mon22erable excuse for a law-abiding imbecilic moron, a little further up the pedestrian’s pavement! Shame, he hasn’t got a job to go to. Mind you the oink, might be a night worker? No horn or bell, or lights on his mountain bike! He ought to steal one with them on next time. Still, he’s got a chain-lock on it.

Me bothered? Hehehe!

1Mon23As the time got close to the bus is due, there was still no signs of any of my fellow oldies, not that many of them are old nowadays, with the minimum age going down to 50 for applicant residents…

Where was I? Oh, yes, I got up and took this last photo of the day, of Sherwood, from the bus stop. The bus arrived, and I was soon back home, dropping off the bus. Penny from the 13th floor kindly slowed down to my rate of knots, and we had a jolly-good chinwag on the hobble back to flats. Thanks, Penny.

I was home, beyond my usual kipping down-time. And so tired, and even more in pain than average. Haha!

I set to and got the meal cooking, and put the buys away.

1Mon24Too tired to even think of doing any updating to this diary.

What a grand nosh, though! Red lettuce, tomatoes, fresh garden peas, frankfurters and some of the most beautiful tasting cheesy potatoes I’ve ever managed to make!

I couldn’t eat it all, but a flavour rating of 9.25/10 was well deserved!

1Mon25I washed the pots, stripped and got settled to watch some DVD from Keeping Up Appearances, with Hyacinth and Richard.

Kept nodding off and waking, as usual. Then I realised that I had still got on the diabetic bamboo socks. What used two be a two-minute job of removing them, took considerably longer, and caused pain, anguish, a bruise and some pretty naughty language was used! When I first got them on this morning, they felt wonderfully comfortable. As the hobble continued on my walk, the souls of the feet and the toes were indeed no longer in any comfort! But I hold back from blaming these expensive socks, yet. The leg pains were relieved a lot. I think the waiting so for the podiatrist, without anyone willing to cut the toes for me, caused the failure of these socks today. The bottom of the socks are thicker than the rest, and may have caught on the extra-long bent, twisted nails, causing te extra discomfort?

Even so early, I nodded of proper. I think Jane might have telephoned me, or I dreamt she did? Huh!, What a plonker I am!

Inchcock Today – Sat 15 June 2019: In a funny mood… Nae, Weird Mood?

2019 16 June

2019 June 16

Saturday 15th June 2019

Bulgarian: Събота 15 юни 2019 година

03:10hrs. I was up and out of the £300 second-hand, c1968. grotty-beige coloured rickety recliner, got my balance and was using the EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-wee Bucket) and taking, or relieving myself via an LHBLWWs (Long-Hosepipe-Blasting-like Wee-wee), all within a couple of minutes. Standing up for the first time reminded me of last nights toe-stubbing when the pain greeted me! Also, the variety of wee-wee that returned yesterday was continuing this morning! Phwoar!

6Sat06Got the hand-washing done and put yesterdays on the dryers.

WD 200.0.0 I shot off to the wet room for a painful Porcelain Throne session.

After thankfully a quick evacuation, I had another search for the Sample return envelope – with the usual result, failure!

Then, I got the computer on, and as I made my way to take some pictures out of the balcony, I had to utilise the already half-filled grey bucket, again. Now, it was an LHNCWW (Long-Hosepipelike-No-Sensation-Wee-wee). Washed up, and got back to the balcony, with the stick in hand, for a photographicalisationing session of the sky and lowered view.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

6Sat05Hobbling my way back in from the unwanted light & view blocking balcony with so many windows to clean but no access and flesh removing metal spring opening devises that need pressing the spring and pulling at the same time. (Cor blimey. the toe was stinging now!) I took another unintended blurry picture of the utility (bedroom, lost items haven, toe-stubbing domain, dining room, tea drinking zone, sock-glide and ankle strapping applying surgery, Office,  TV lounge and walking stick, pens etc. absconding area) room. Haha!

6Sat07I got the oven on low heat, so that later when I do the cheesy potatoes, it will heat up to temp quicker. And got a few Anya potatoes in the slow-cooker on low.

Checked the t-shirt and socks and moved them to aid with the drying process.

Made a start on updating the Friday post. Inconceivably, the flipping electric-like dancing started in the right-hand fingers, arm, and shoulder the moment I began typing! I’ve never had it so bad or for so long. Hours it lasted. More time was spent, or lost, redoing and amending the flood of errors I kept on and on making! I got a stage where I thought about giving up with the blog altogether, so frustrating it was!

Nearly 09:00hrs, at last, I got it finished, not confident that is is right, though, even after I made a mug of tea and had a thoughtful self-pity session. Things like yesterday, I had to go to the Chemist about the beta-blocker shortage – no one is willing to help me with it. It also took me a whole day to do the task! Now, I have to go to the doctor’s on Monday and beg for some more Bisoprolol Fumarate, then go to the chemist to pick them up, another day lost! And the normal as was, hobble to the surgery take around 40 minutes, now after the stroke, and with the saprogenous leg ulcer and the peripheral neuropathy, it takes me well over an hour for the same journey. I looked up the symptoms at this stage, out of interest: damage to the nerves that carry messages of touch, temperature, pain and other sensations to the brain and damage to the nerves that control movement. That sounds about right. Thank heavens that Duodenal Donald, Anne Gyna, Arthur Itis and Kidney Kevin are not joining in!

But the medics, because I have the stroke, are not seemingly interested it these problems any more? I’m just told that nothing can be done about it. Or is it me?

The hearing aid farce, I’ve been without them for six weeks now, and it will be another two weeks before the hearing aids are examined, and another five-six weeks before the new moulds are made!

Fifteen weeks since I saw the chiropodist, who will no longer treat me or even cut the toenails due to my “Many issues!”

The lost cancer sample envelope, struggling with my one love, blogging, the finger bleeding this morning where I cut it on the damned metal spring opening on the new unwanted balcony window, stubbing my toe every day it seems… but eventually I stopped these pathetic little moans, and went for a wee-wee.

Emptying and sanitising the EGPWWB (Emergency Grey Plastic Wee-wee Bucket), can be very therapeutic. Hehehe!

I hope that the psychopannychism lot is wrong. Imagine being forced to come back with the same ‘issues’? Arghh!

GC June 14e

For some unascertained and mystery to me, reason, I shook off the sad self-pitying quatsch and got on with creating this Inchcock Today, with a little more enthusiasm. It helped that at last, the finger dancing had eased off a bit, of course. For which I felt grateful in the extreme! But knowing they will return. Thus the frustration!

I seem to ha6Sat08ve lost my catagelophobia today?

I am proud to announce that I went to shell the pod peas, and, no fibbing here, I only lost one pea! It shot up and rebounded off of something, came down and hit my nose and ricochetted to heaven know where.

Hahaha!

6Sat09I got the potatoes in the oven.

I got around to looking at the email that Sister Jane had sent me. She’d bought this in the Victoria market the other day. I had to smile! Humph!

Got the spuds out and bashed them up well with extra sharp cheddar cheese, onion salt and a bit of Lurpac butter.

I then went on the TFZer Facebooking to catch up.

Then I tackled sorting out Josie’s cheesy potato Saturday meal.

6Sat10It was fortunate timing today when I delivered the meal. Josie was just getting back from the laundry room, so it was good and hot when she got it.

Two filled extra buttered cheesy potato husks this week without any vinegar, well, a change is as good as a rest, they say. (Well someone did!) Brown and yellow tomatoes, a pickled egg, some Anya potatoes, gherkins and tuna chunks. Orange jelly with mandarins in, and a lemon iced slice. I do hope she enjoys it!

I’d forgot to take Josie the coke and whisky, so nipped to hand it to her, and she was going out in a hurry, she said she would return the tray and plate etc. when she gets back, and collect the can of coke treat then. I hope she is not back too late, and I have fallen asleep.

Then back to computerisationing for a while. Longer than my disbursed brain could cope with. I kept checking on the fodder, and soon, the computer was put to rest and recover (Haha!), and the nosh was prepared.

6Sat28I had the last of the Nordic Style Bacon, cheesy baked potatoes, Anya potatoes, gherkins, mixed tomatoes, and the gorgeous fresh pod peas. I think I may have out a little too much butter in the potatoes, but they were still lovely tasting, just not up to my usual standard (Hehe!)

I pot of Limoncello and some soring water with orange cordial added, to finish the feast off with. A Flavour-Rating of 8.8/10, given.

I now had to say awake if I could, ready for Josies return. I put the TV on, and channel hopped looking for programmes with subtitles on them, so I didn’t have to use the headphones and could still hear the door chimes when Josie gets back.

Surprisingly, I drank all of the spring water and went to get some more.

6Sat29While the kettle warmed up, I took this picture from the unwanted, light & view blocking, unreachable for cleaning, new kitchen window. With its wide ledge that prevents viewing downwards, without the use of the stepladders, which when in use, always seems to bring on a the scary peripheral neuropathy inspired leg dancing, and usually involves me falling off of the steps and getting injured.

I’ve logged up a few Accifauxpas over this year since the windows were fitted, especially since returning home after the stroke. Ranging from stubbed-toes, falling off the Porcelain Throne, and tripping up, ending up on the floor. All thanks to either the Axonotmesis or Peripheral Neuropathy activity. Not that anyone is interested. Sorry about that, another little grumbling session sneaked into the diary here. Humph!

Anyway, I did fall asleep, and Josie returned, she always presses both of the chimes though, and without the headphones on, I heard her ringing. I got up, but having been laid down for two or three hours, Arthur Itis and the balance made it difficult for me to get to the door. I think Josie saw me struggling with the stick, and she took the tray and implements through to the kitchen for me, bless her. She said I must be trying to fatten her up! Haha! She added she enjoyed the nosh, and a natter ensued, then she went back to her apartment.

As I turned to go back to my utility room, I saw the can of Whisky and Coke. Bother, I’d forgotten to give it to Josie. So I nipped and rang Josie’s door-bell, and handed it to her.

When I got back down in the £300 second-hand rickety recliner, any chance of sleep coming quickly had been lost. The earlier nod-off, then getting up had disorientated the old body-clock, I think. So the headphones went on (hoping there would not be an unheard fire alarm go off), and some crap on TV was watched. Which used to help me nod-off, but not tonight. Ah-well!

2019 June 14

Friday 14th June 2019

Azerbaijani: Cümə günü 14 İyun 2019

00:35hrs. I woke, full of the joys of spring, happy, gay, bright, and ready for anything the world would throw at me… No, I mustn’t lie! I woke in a right-grumpy mood with life and its pain, eccentricities, dishonesty, fraudulence, unethicalness, inequity, unjustness, bigotry, crime, iniquity, dishonorableness, discrimination, inequality, prejudice, unlawfulness, unreasonableness, villainy, crookedness, deceitfulness,  bullying, underhandedness, callousness and its greedy, voracious, intemperate, self-indulgent, grasping, venal, cupidinous, materialistic, predatory, money-grabbing, pleonectic ways! Our, so-called leaders, (dubious, dishonest, dauntless and deleterious), utterly driven and ridden with their money-grabbing, ingurgitate, and usufruct desires for self-gain and personal wealth and notoriety!

WD 128. 0.128 3 2019 June 3aLuckily, my mood was soon changed as the urgent need for a wee-wee arrived. Off to the wet room. Which, unfortunately, took a little longer than I would have been comfortable with. The freeing of my becoming gargantuan-again torso from the £300, c1968, second-hand, grotty-beige coloured rickety recliner chair, was hampered by several things this morning. Arthur Itis was revisiting both of the knees, the axonotmesis and the peripheral neuropathy had got the right-hand fingers, arm and shoulder doing their involuntary hokey-cokey dance routine (but only for a minute or two, then things settled down), and I stubbed the already well-stubbed toe against the Ottoman! I may have uttered a few words of discontent under my breath, like, “Oh blow it!” or “Fancy that!”

WD 128. 0.128 3 2Tue15eBy the time I had got to the wet room, I also needed the Porcelain Throne. And what a messy evacuation I had to cope with. I had to spend what seemed an endless time, cleaning things and myself up afterwards! During which, the brain decided that either the Senna tablets had suddenly started working after weeks of failure – or, most likely, the copious amount of fresh pod peas I had eaten with last nights Cheesy potatoes, flavour rated 9.55/10 meal, had got things moving again? My money is on the amazingly tasty pod peas. Hehe!

I returned to the utility (front) room. (The computer office, bedroom, Emergency Wee-wee grey bucket storage area, Camera-charging unit, Having a Stroke in, sock-glide usage area, dining room, Vacuum cleaner storage and maintenance garage, Dropped and lost items never seen again storage area, and already stubbed, toe stubbable area facilitated surgery. Hahaha!) Had a look on the TFZer Facebook, but not for long.

WD 128. 0.128 3 A clattering noise from somewhere close by was heard? It must have been load, cause I heard it without my hearing aids in. Not that there is any point in putting them in, mind. I am still waiting to go to the clinic to have new ear-inserts measured. That will be in two weeks, I think the appointment is. Then a five or six weeks wait for them to be made, then a long wait I suppose again for another 5Fri002meeting to have them fitted?

Back to the diary; A decent look around revealed nothing by way of an explanation for the noise?

So while in the kitchen, I got the Anya potatoes in the crock-pot. I’m planning on having them cold later, so cooking them early will do no harm, I hope, at least.

5Fri001I took a picture through the unwanted, thick-framed, multi-glass windows to clean that cannot be reached, that prevent me from taking photographs of out and down, due to the ledge being too high. However, if I am in a suicidal mood, the step-ladders can be mounted and then I can hang outside to see if any fire engines are on site when a fire alarm activates, that I cannot hear anyway, goes off. It needed saying!

If I should snuff-it in 1a fire here, or fall out of the window, please ask for any compensation I might be due, for breach of care, goes to the RSPCA, thank you. Oh, and you’d better warn anyone who thinks about using my spare parts for others, about the Metal Mickey ticker. The bullet pellets still in the arm, Arthur Itis, Anne Gyna, Reflux Roger, Prostate Pete, Shaking Shaun, Dizzy Dennis, Hernia Harry, Axonotmesis Alan, Peripheral Neuropathy Nigel, Sid the Stroke, Craigs Cramps, Leslie’s leg ulcer, Wally’s Water Retention, Duodenal Donald’s ulcer, Dave’s almost Deaf Earholes, Haemorrhoid Harold, Cathy’s Cataracts…

Nae! Please, just tell them not to bother! Hahaha!

At last, I made a start on the updating of the Thursday post. The dancing fingers had eased off, so I got it done a little quicker than expected, which was encouraging for once. Posted it off.

Got the morning medications were taken, and the health checks were done. The results were not as good as they have been of late, but not too bad at all, I reckon Sys 166, Dia 66, Pulse 92, and Temperature 36°c.

A mug of tea then checked on the potatoes and got on with starting this blog off.

I went on the WordPress Reader section next.

Then onto TFZer Facebooking.

I checked on the Anya potatoes in the crock-pot again. They are still hard, after over four hours on a high setting! I don’t want to quodlibetificate, but surely this can’t be right?

My aboulomania is rife and ripe this morning. With the Physio nurse coming to give me a workout this morning, I am concerned about getting out to the shops for some large potatoes for Josie’s meal-treat tomorrow. If she comes late, I will be in a pickle. I wish I could manage not to worry about this, its not the end of the world. Yet quisquousness and fretting, I do. Poor old thing!

I put the computer to sleep and we5Fri007nt off to get the ablutions sorted out. I realised as I was washing the used cup up, I had not done the hand-washing yet, so set about getting the t-shirt and socks in the bowl and cleaned and left them soaking while I got the teggies, shave and shower tended to. I took my time and used the shower-seat today. It felt so unnatural. Got dressed and had another search for the mysteriously disappeared sample return envelope – it must have gotten thrown away by mistake?

All refreshed, I got the hand-washing rinsed well, wrung-out as best I could, and hung up the shirt on a hanger to drip dry. I put the socks on the flat airer.

I was doing well this Friday, no Whoopsies had stopped coming, and I was feeling better in myself overall.

WD 128. 0.128 3 The phone rang, and it was a lady from the Doctors surgery. Apparently, I had not answered her last Email. So, well told off, she told me to send an email telling them I had received the dosages, which she then gave me verbally. But I was a little confused by them, they were as I wrote them down as she spoke: Today 0 – Mon 1 – Tue 1½ – Wed  1½ – Thur 1½ – Fri 1 – Sat 1½ – Sunday 1½?

5Fri007aWD 128. 0.128 3 I managed with and with complete ease, showing my ineptitude and stupidity, to scold a finger on the right-hand (It had to be that hand with the Peripheral neuralgia of course!) while making a mug of tea.

The pleasant Stroke Physio lady arrived and was kind to me, and we had a little chinwag. A limited range of exercises, and off, she trotted to her next patient. It was 10:26hrs, so obviously I was going to miss the 10:30hrs bus down the hill. So I decided to take some photographs from the balcony, then set off on foot to the Chemists to find out when the prescriptions were due for delivery.

WD 128. 0.128 3 I got in a bit of a state rushing around getting ready. Eventually, I departed, with the shoulder bag and the three-wheeled trolley, in case the medications were ready to collect, but I don’t th5Fri007bink they will be. It’s just the beta-blockers that I am short of. Confusion-Mode-Continuing!

I took some black bags to the rubbish chute on the way out.

I was soon trying to avoid the rain puddles along Chestnut Way.

To the end of the way and right down Winchester Street. A bit of a struggle, as usual, to get by the pavement parked vehicles, thus situated to make room for the L9 bus to get through.

5Fri08b

I had to go around in the end, onto the road, the danged trolley nearly tipped over. Still, after two-years of contractors vehicles parked on the pavement, and the prospect of it continuing until the end of next November, I’ve got used to it, now.

5Fri12No altercations on the way down and onto Mansfield Road, and left towards Carrington.

At least the rain had stopped, and it wasn’t cold at all.

WD 128. 0.128 3 A little further on, a Pavement Cyclist shot out of an entrance on the left, and all but had me over!

I crossed over the road to be on the Chemists side and continued up the hill.

5Fri09I noticed at the bus stop as I hobbled by, the Subway franchise was advertising Vegan Your Way on the boarding. It had a disclaimer showing in tiny letters at the bottom of the advert; ‘Subway Your Way products may have come into contact with none-vegan and meat products during the preparation.’ Gawd, they have to cover themselves nowadays to avoid being prosecuted, I suppose?

WD 128. 0.128 35Fri11 A Nottinghamian Pavement Cyclist was going up the hill. I’m not sure that this ignorant, bullying, uncaring, anti-social excuse for a human being was not the same one that hit me last February as I limped along the same bit of road coming home from the surgery?

But he had decent legs, Hehehe!

5Fri014Over the crest and down into Carrington.

At the smelly rubbish-bin point, I saw the Nottingham City Council had placed a large tub of flowers.

A good job we have Labour in charge, or I wouldn’t have a home, and flowers like this beauty to admire. No idea what it is, but it had braved the cigarette nubs, empty beer cans, and 5Fri015bottles that had been thrown in the bin! With the rubbish cage and bins right next to it, I could not understand why people had used the flower bed and not the supplied boxes to rid themselves of their waste?

Then realised, of course, that earth’s tellurians are to blame.

Mankind is doomed!

5Fri016WD 128. 0.128 3 The next few hundred yards, there was so many Pavement Cyclist that I could not picture anywhere near all of them.

The bottom one was coasting downhill at such a rate of knots, he came from behind. I didn’t expect him to come, so suddenly and close to me as he shot by.

WD 128. 0.128 3 The force of the wind he created was so strong, I called something nasty to him, that questioned his parentage! But he could not hear me. Probably just as well, or he might have got off and knocked-hell out of me. Hehe!

WD 128. 0.128 3 I got to the Carrington Pharmacy. Where I was told that I had a two-months supply of prescriptions collected by a nurse, and there was definitely a sufficient supply of Bisoprolol. The next is to arrive in July. Again, no date was given, it never it by them! This caused me some concern, and I mentioned that I have only five tablets left? He told me to ask my Doctor if I needed extra. I’m afraid that seeing my Doctor usually takes two to three weeks. He gave me some Furesomide tablets from 30th May? The different nurses have been dealing with the prescriptions and medicines for me, and to be honest, I’m just confused altogether now. I explained how things were with me now, and struggle for logicality and frustration abounds. At least I think I said it, but there was no reaction, it was as if I hadn’t spoken at all. Did I imagine talking? I was downhearted and told him: “Not to worry, I’ll do without!” Boy, I was pissed off! I walked out.

WD 128. 0.128 3 After going twelve weeks without the toenails being cut, due to being hospitalised, it took me three more weeks to get the doctor to arrange a referral for a paediatrician to examine the feet and to cut the toenails. Two weeks later, I got the appointment at the Sherwood Health Centre, for a meeting in another two week’s time! “Depressed, Pissed-Off and Had Enough Mode Adopted!”

WD 128. 0.128 3 I foolishy called in the Lidl store. Shopping is a kind of therapy to me, a costly one! I got to the self-serve checkouts with, Rocky bars, Caramel bars for the Social Hour Nibbles that I can no longer attend? Frozen potato cubes, and some baking potatoes and Tuna lumps in water, for Josie’s Saturday nosh.

5Fri017WD 128. 0.128 3 As I came out from the store, feeling a mixture of frustration at the medications having gone wrong, and needing to be sorted, and pure hatred when I saw two Nottinghamian scumbag Pavement Cyclists weave their bullying way through some people, and go by the bus stop. Swine!

At least the timing was not too bad this time. I had about forty minutes to get to Sherwood to connect with the L9 bus back home up the hill.

WD 128. 0.128 3 I joined the lugubrious looking passengers waiting for a bus in the shelter. They were all uncommunicative when I offered a smile and said ‘Good Morning’ to them. Oh dear!

The bus was in Sherwood within a few minutes, and I got off at the Post Office shop.

I crossed the road and had plenty of time to call in the Oxfam, and then the Mind charity shops for a poke around.

1Mon06

It said a lot for humankind, my finding both shops cram-packed with potential customers. I didn’t buy anything from either shop. But I enjoyed watching the obviously, ‘after-money-making’ merchants. One man and woman had books and catalogues with them, one from John Pye Auction House. I could almost see mucous secretion dribbling 5Fri018out of the woman’s lips as she looked carefully and excitedly at an old tea set in a cabinet – followed by Hubby consulting one of his books, and the utter dejection on both of their faces that followed… I assumed he had found out the tea service was not worth much, after all! Hahaha! I almost felt sorry for them, until I remembered they were just two more of the ever-growing number of Line one’s pockets, have one’s ship come in, make a pretty penny, laugh 5Fri013all the way to the bank, strike it lucky, make a fortune folk, out for something for nothing. But, I am not interested in riches, affluence, opulence or prosperity. Surely proof of my insanity? Hehe!

I exited and made my way up the hill towards the bus shelter. Noticing this new sign on Mansfield Road as I hobble along.

I was the only person at the bus stop, and the pain from the foot and toes was sufficient to make me sit-down. Something I usually avoid due to Arthur Itis playing up when I have to stand again. Several other buses passed, a few dropping off, but no one got on any of them? Suddenly, it was as if a football match had just ended, and a mass of people turned up at the shelter.

5Fri019But none from the flats. When the L9 arrived, I was the only person who got on. I was soon back at Windwood Heights.

The place was almost deserted. No signs of any workmen at all. Although there were signs of their activities along Chestnut Way.

The puddles had drained away while I was out on my walk (hobble, then).

5Fri019aMore signs of the workmen’s activities as I got inside and to the lift foyer.

They had been working on the cut-through passageway to the new block and what will be eventually, the location of the Riechsführeress and Catwalk Model Warden’s new HQ, roof garden, new extra care flats, paediatrician, hairdressers and new reprimanding Inchcock cell. Haha!

I was utterly drained, shattered. All the walking, and the medications farce etc. had done for me. I had an unexpected LHBLWWs (Long Hosepipe-Blasting like Wee-Wee) and got the meal cooking.

5Fri20I was ready to fall asleep while I was standing up. This bothered me a tad?

I got the food prepared after a while, an tucked into it, but could not eat it all. I put this down to how I felt, burnt-out, zonked, fagged-out, weak, almost narcoleptic!

I managed to do the washing of the pots and put the TV on, Rumpole of the Baily to watch, (but I just knew this would not happen) and fell on the £300 second-hand, c1968, rusty recliner and almost immediately fell asleep.

WD 128. 0.128 3 I was sickened when the landline rang, and the light flashed! At first, I thought of ignoring it altogether. Then thinking it might be the Chemist or Chiropodist, I rushed best as I could to answer it before they rang off…

I made it in time, amazingly it was Siste Jane, and the heart-stopped a second as I began to expect bad news, she would not ring this late knowing my sleep pattern unless it was. Thankfully, it was not bad news. Phew! She had sent me an email. I’m not sure if anything else was said or arranged though, my still being sleepy-eyed. Just glad it was not bad news!

WD 128. 0.128 3 Then, as I returned confused to the £300 second-hand rickety-recliner, that looked oh, so appealing, I stubbed the damned already stubbed six times toe this week, again! Seven times now!  So, tired as I still was, the pain… nae, the agony kept me awake for a while. As it eased off, I got back to sleep. Ahh!

Inchcock Today – Thursday 13th June 2019: Bus trip out, Fresh Pod Peas purchased and digested. Exciting life, innit? Haha!

2019 13 June

2019 June 13

Thursday 13th June 2019:

Finnish: Torstai 13. Kesäkuuta 2019

02:50hrs: Woke up, with a bit of what was, or seemed, a long dream in the memory box. I was in the jungle in a campsite, staked out on the floor in a clearing, and being skinned alive by Charles de Gaulle?

As is usual lately, the waking-thoughts being processed were rapidly replaced with the need to have a wee-wee.

I exited the £300 second-hand, gungy-beige c1968, rickety recliner with ease almost. No Arthur Itis, Reflux Roger, Hernia Harry or Shaking Shaun was bothering me at all! Although, I did take a little longer than usual to gain my balance. With the aid of the walking stick, I got to the wet room without any accifauxpas.

4Thu02WD90..0.0 While in there, I carried out another rummage around in vain hopes of finding the misplaced or lost Cancer Sample return envelope. No luck, of course. Humph! I also tried to pass on The Porcelain Throne to get a sample. Going through almost agony, but managed.

But, I still had no return envelope to use. Most irritating and annoying, my not knowing what the heck I did with that envelope. Frustration Mode Adopted. Humph!

Off to the kitchen, and got the hand washing done. Washed a shirt and socks, and got the trousers from yesterday drying on the flat airer. Hung the t-shirt up over the sink, and put the socks on the pipe-airer.

I took the morning medications. A little early, I know. Then I did the health checks; Sia 81, Dia 72, Pulse 92, and the Temperature was at 35.5°c.

I put a large potato in the crock-pot and started it going on low.

The view outside had to be photographicalised. The morning’s colouring was one of almost ghostly, and or phantasmagorical. Well, it was to me, but I am partly colourblind.

4Thu05a

Back to the wet room for another wee-wee. This time of the rare LSPDOWWs (Long-Slow-Painfull-Drawn-out-Wee-wee) classification. While in there, I put down the drain dose of drain unblocker, in the wet room sink.

WD90..0.0 I set about on the Computer updating the Wednesday blog. It soon turned again into hard work. As the fingers kicked off on their dancing and electrified-jumping routine. To be joined at times by the wrist and shoulder; which at times, was so violent. This Peripheral neuropathy seems to be getting worse each morning, as is to expected thinking about it. It is in the mornings mostly that I am to be found belting away at the keyboard. So, the nerves at the finger-ends are bound to be worse at this time. Forget I said owt!

4Thu07I got the Tuesday lactarium finished at last. And went to make a brew.

The lightness of the morning caught me out. Of course, I had to realise how long I had been working at getting the diary updated and finished.

I got it posted and sent off to WordPress.

Then its time for the ablutions to be done, in case the INR blood nurse comes early, as she did last week.

4Thu08Off to the wet room again. The shave was almost blood-loss-less! Haha! The new toothpaste was, how shall I put it? Erm… Well, er, disappointing at first. Not a nice taste. I thought I ought to go back to the regular one.

But as I was showering, the mouth felt a lot fresher? Was this due to the MaxFresh paste? If so, it might be better if I put up with the odd, taste that comes with it.

I got things ready and poddled to the hut, and handed some prizes and nibbles out. Then caught the 09:30hrs L9 bus to Arnold. Many nattering sessions and chinwags were enjoyed, very much so.

Most folk got off in Sherwood, but four of us from the flats went on, to Arnold. I was chatting away, en route.

In the Estate, I took these shot on the bus, from the side-saddle seat.

4Thu13aa

They show how murky it was getting. I dropped off in Daybrook, and called in the Sainsbury store, in the hope of getting some fresh garden peas.

I was in luck. I came out with some garden peas. Anya potatoes, yellow sunglow and brown Caramella tomatoes. Not a lot! Paid the woman on the till, and out to catch the same bus on its return journey. Mary, Pete, and Ray were on the same bus. We had another natter en route to the flats. In Sherwood, three more Winwoodonians got on. Angela, Roy and Shiela. Even more, gossip ensured.

Walking along Chestnut Way with Angela and Roy, I stubbed the same flipping toe against the wheel of the trolley-guide when a car came from behind and broke my concentration. No complaints, we were all walking on the road to avoid the filthy footpath with our wheeled aids. Haha!

Roy needed a sit down in the lobby. I stayed to keep him and Angela company and keep them smiling. Cyndy came in later, and we all went up in the lift together. Up in the elevator and another bit of jollity shared.

4Thu11Fond cheerios shared, and I got in the flat. A wee-wee. Wash. And got the peas shelled and in the saucepan for cooking later. Got the mature cheddar out to add to the spud later on.

Here are the day’s purchases (Just showing off the healthy foods I got, Hehehe!).

WD90..0.0 Then as I was setting about updating this post, the intercom rang. It was the INR nurse – Blimey! I’d forgotten all about her coming! Thank Heaven, she arrived late. I avoided making a right clanger there! Oy vey!

I mashed the slow-cooked potato and husk up with some shredded mature cheddar cheese, and got it in the oven cooking and browning, I hope. Washed the crock-pot and cutlery. Did some more blogging, and it was soon time to get the nosh served up!

I got a call from a Stroke Physio nurse (I think). Making out what was said was confusing. (I shall be so glad when I eventually get the hearing aids mended… mind you, I might be ninety by then, the way things are going so slowly Tsk!) I think she is calling in the morning, to put me through the agony of physical activities. Argh! Hehehe!

2Tue15eBoy oh boy, the potatoes came out beautifully burnt and crisp on the outside! The fresh garden peas were just fantastic (So were the ones that never made it to the saucepan as they were being podded!). The fancy tomatoes were tasty and sweet. The Polish herbed-meat was magnificent. Even the gherkins tasted so good today!

A flavour rating of 9.55/10 for this one!

I got the pots washed, had a wee-wee, and settled down for few dozen five-minute nod-offs – waking up and repeating the process. I’d put the TV on to keep me amused for the odd three minute sessions when I woke up! It also allowed to see what programmes I was missing Hahaha!

Inchcock Today – Wed 12 June 2019: Bestest trip to town in ages!

2019 12 June

2019 June 11

Wednesday 12th June 2019

Croatian: Srijeda 12. Lipnja 2019

02:35hrs. Woke, remembering the Stroke Aid visitors Caroline and Sophia, Morrison’s delivery to arrive twixt 06:30>07:30hrs, and the Blood Taking Nurse all to sort out this morning. Freed my bulbous-body from the £300 second-hand, c1968, grotty-beige coloured, rickety recliner, then, off I went for a wee-wee. Taking care to avoid any more of the painful toe stubbing en route!

I must say the colouration was very bright this morning on the toe inspection picture. But I had to use a flat board to hold the camera steady, as the right hand, fingers, and arm were in a full electricity inspired dancing mood.

To the kitchen to do the health checks next3Wed01. The readings seemed excellent to me. At, Sia 122, Dia 64, pulse 83 and temperature 34.8°c.

Got the medications out to take later, and placed them near the computer, so I do not forget to take them. (I hope!)

I got the computer on, to get started and finish off the updating of the Tuesday blog.

3Wed03I noticed the Cancer Screening kit laying near the sock-glide as a reminder to me.

Maybe today, a Porcelain Throne Evacuation might come. I feel like one is on the way, so I’ll attend to taking the samples first thing when I get in the wet room.

Yesterday, there were none at all? Mmm!

WD51.51.0 deepOlive Working on the keyboard today was a nightmare. The flaming right side fingers, hand, and arm were pretty consistent with their electrified jumping and dancing about. Making doing the post update, a long, frustrating session. Nevermind! I did get it done eventually.

3Wed05Then caught up on the WordPress Reader, and TFZer Facebooking.

Time to get the ablutions tended to, I hope the shaking doesn’t cause problems with my taking the samples, that could be really embarrassing!

Took the photo on the right of the rain, from the balcony windows.

Back in a while, I’m off to the wet room, hopefully, for Sample-Taking and to get the ablutions done and sorted. Too early for a shower, though.

3Wed04WD51.51.0 deepOlive Well, what a comical fumble about! I was advised to ‘catch’ any evacuated material, in a disposable container, to take the two samples from it. Print my name (Already done) and date in the sleeve cover, seal it up, and ready the next lot for tomorrow’s sampling. Of course, everything was as solid as a rock, and despite my best efforts, nothing could be moved! Not even any wind escaped!

So, I gave up and got an extended stand-up scrubbing, shaved, teggies, and got ready to adorn my clothing.

WD-A 51.51.0 d olive I achieved using the sock-glide without any toe stubbing the hand/leg shakes. But I did take a little skin off of a finger knuckle on the metal and rubber holding grip. I’m not sure why I tried the glide with this small pair of socks made from Bamboo. I considered putting on the Ankle-Support, but the toe was stinging as it was, without the blood flow being cut. I battled my aboulia, hesitatingly, hummed and faffled about, should I, shouldn’t I, for ages. In the end, I decided to leave the decision making until later. Humph!

Back to the computer, and did some Coreldraw work, and edited this blog.

The intercom rang and flashed, it was the Morrison delivery. I got to the phone as quick as I could, for the toe seemed to be getting more painful. I buzzed him in and… The damned right hand burst into one of its involuntary Axonotmesis inspired shakes and twitching session, and I dropped the phone…

The coil wire allowed the phone to fall straight down, as the shaking hand made me drop the handset, and guess what?

3Wed05a1aWD-A 51.51.0 d olive It was just long enough for the receiver to reach far enough for it to land on, and clout my already suffering and unlucky poor stubbed toe!

I took a photo of the perilously bad-luck ridden for me, intercom phone, with the flex in its “Watch-Out-Inchcock – pain on the way” position. Tsk! Showing how well, nay, perfectly, that it was set-up, the optimum length of flex available for reaching, falling on, bashing, bruising further, and clouting any unsuspecting stubbed toes that might foolishly be joined to the end some fools foot, that is in the vicinity or using the intercom. Hahaha!

3Wed001A few words of a naughty variety were uttered underneath my breath. Like, ‘Oh fancy that!’ ‘Well, blow me down! and ‘Arghh!’ Hehe!

The Morrison chap arrived up at the flat and placed the bags in the hallway. I could not resist telling him of my Accifauxpas with the phone. He was not impressed, but he m3Wed06anaged a half-smile. I thanked him, and off he shot.

Once again, I had forgotten about returning the carrier bags that should have been recovered from the previous order delivered. Ah, well! Worse things happen at sea!

Yet, still, my IQ told me things would improve later?

3Wed08I put the purchases away. I had overdone it again, and, or, made more cock-ups doing the order in the first place.

I’d ordered six pots of Limoncello desert, the most significant bag of chips (Fries) available, a ready meal (that I thought about, but think I changed my mind but didn’t, Hehe!) amongst the many items bought that were not needed! I even got some more of the baked beans and vegetable sausages. I must stop getting back into this bad habit!

I was so pleased when Caroline arrived at the flat. All business to start with, a firm and determined: “Are we going out on the bus today, we must do! No messing about, after a little natter, the gal started to get the four-wheeled trolley out ready for me to rush things along. I was having trouble keeping up with things. And when it came to us going out, I was all confused whether I had left lights on, heaters, stove, faucets, etc.

We had an enjoyable gossip as we walked along Chestnut Way to the new bus stop. At the bus stop, there were many Winchester Court folk, but a scarcity of Woodthorpe ones? But a chat here an there was had. On the bus to town, talking was difficult, but Caroline and I managed some. It was decided while being monitored by Caroline, I’d go to the pound shop, for toothpaste, drain-cleaner, and Pork pies if they had any in. Then to the Victoria Market for a pair of trousers, and get the bus back so that Caroline was not out too long. That was the plan!

We dropped off the bus on Upper Parliament Street and walked in the light drizzle to the Poundland store. I moved as fast as I could around the store, to impress Caroline ♥. First I got the drain cleaner, the into the fridge but no Pork Farms large pies on sale, the into the toothpaste, and what a mind-blowing selection they had! I usually use the Colgate gel type. Today they had many different brands on sale. I ended up getting one that was smaller, 75g compared to the 100g normal one. Maxfresh, with intense foam! I thought I’d try it out.

3Wed12aaOn the way to the self-serve checkouts, I spotted they had some cans of Churchfield Chilli Con Carne, I bought a couple to try.

This little lot filled the pathetic storage box come seat, on the four-wheeled trolley to capacity.

We walked over the road into Boots, through to the Victoria Centre. Caroline pointed out the lifts, and we used it to get up to the Market level. As we walked through the fruit & Veg market. I said I’d look to see, but thought it was too early, for any fresh garden peas. Caroline said she had seen some in Tesco earlier.

WD51.51.0 deepOlive That was it, the thought of getting trousers was abandoned, and we made out way out to the lift and down to the ground floor, and walked to Tesco, in my search for the garden peas! I’d have a look for some Pork Knuckle at the same time. Miserable at having found neither, we walked back onto Upper Parliament Street. Where I took a couple of pictures of the traffic lights opposite Clinton Street.

3Wed11

The Nottinghamian’s, as usual wandering across the (Only one fatal accident at these lights so far this year) pelican lights, against the red light. Bless em!

4Thu06

Not so bad, really, I’m just glad I don’t have to use the trolley or stick in Tokyo! Hehehe!

We made our way to the L9 bus stop and caught it back to the flats.

As we got off, farewells and Caroline shot off to her car, having spent too long looking after me, on to her next mission of the day.

As I began the walk down Chestnut Way, the bus turned at the new traffic island, to pick up passengers at the outward bound request stop shelter.

3Wed11a

Winwood Heights was looking more like it is meant to now. But we have until around November until everything is in place and sorted.

WD51.51.0 deepOlive I got in the apartment, and the feet, ankle, knees, stubbed toe, feet, and Anne Gyna were all giving me bother. Tired and weary feeling to, poor old chap! I got the purchases put away. Stripped off and adorned the dressing gown and slippers.

3Wed12bI decided on the Chilli-Con-Carne and frankfurters for the meal, with some of the chips from the gigantic bag morning. Huh!

I liked the Chilly-Con-Carne. It was not too hot for me. The franks tasted fine, but the substituted or wrongly ordered chips were a disappointment. Had some Milk Loaf to soak up the tasty fluids. A limoncello to follow. A Flavour rating of 7/10, despite the crap chips.

I had a search for the missing return envelops again, no luck!

All I did, apart from the odd wee-wee after doing the pots, was watch TV for ten-minute, nod-off, wake up fifteen-minutes later, nod-off. Wake up…

Inchcock Today – Tues 11 June 2019: The whiffled stubbed toe is getting incommodious again? Fingers, hand & arm jerking is too. Hey-Ho!

Tuesday 11th June 2019

Greek: Τρίτη 11 Ιουνίου 2019

01:45hrs. I almost sprang awake and was just about to recall bits of a dream, when the need for wee-wee arrived. Which took precedence, and the nightmare was forgotten about. The extraction from the £300, second-hand, warped, c1968, rickety recliner, and getting myself semi-perpendicular, went well.

wd 0.0.255 Apart from the stubbed toe still being tender, and my bashing it against the sock-glide as I made my way to the wet room, the other ailments were being so kind to me. (This can’t last, of course!)

2Tue03Another encouraging sign when I took the SWDWW (Short-weak-dribbling-wee-wee), the colour seemed to be much nearer its normal.

wd 0.0.255 The not so good thing, was the toe seemed to be more tender and painful.  So I whipped off the slipper and had a decker at it. Oh, dearie me! The earlier stubbing on the sock-glide most likely brought on some more bruising? Ah, well, it was a decent clouting that I gave it!

2Tue01I set about taking the evening medications that I forgot to imbibe last night. And then got a t-shirt and a pair of socks hand-washed, and drying on the airer. I got the morning tablets out and placed the pot near to the computer, to remind me to take them later. Then did the health checks for the day. The results were good this morning, apart from the pulse that was a little high, I think.

Sys 137, Dia 70, Pulse 108 bpm, and Temp at 35.4°c.

wd 0.0.255 I got on the computer to update and finish the Monday post. It took a while, but this was mainly due to having so many photographicalistions to put on, that I took in Nottingham yesterday. The odd decent one, too. The fingers were not doing a lot of the electric-like jumping for once. But the arm and shoulder shake’s replaced them. Not complaining though, cause they are much easier to cope with when typing.

I eventually finished and sent off the diary to WordPress.

Went to make a brew of tea. Then took a horrendously lousy picture of the night. Through the unwanted, light & view-blocking, thick-framed, new kitchen windows; with the impossible to reach panes of glass that need but will2Tue02 have to do without being cleaned glass. And, necessitate the use of the step ladders, if one wants to take a picture out and downwards of the complex. Or needs to check to see if any emergency vehicles are on site when the alarm that I cannot anyway, hear goes off.

The picture came out terrible. I’m not surprised. When the arm and shoulder-shakes come on, they might be less detrimental to the using the keyboard, although selecting things with the mouse can be dodgy; but they do tend to make taking steady pictures, difficult.

I made up a template and started this blog going.

Then went on the TFZer Facebooking, to add photographs and make comments, etc. A long job, with all the pictures I’d taken yesterday, in Nottingham. It took me hours to get done, but I enjoyed doing it.

I had to make some graphics done for later use, on CorelDraw, another time-consuming job, however, I enjoy doing these too! Worked away, even as the arm and shoulder were involuntarily dancing and jumping again! I made few cock-ups with the jerky movements, jumping and clicking icons that I didn’t even know some of them did, never used them before. So, you can understand me getting ratty with myself, as it took me ages to get back to where I was – doing it blindly, so as to speak. I just hope I haven’t reset any of… erm what’s the word. Huh, gone potty all together here… Presets. That’s not the word, but its the nearest I can get. I hope this doesn’t mean another funny-turn is coming on. I imagine that this lethologica is worse due to the stroke?

wd 0.0.255 Not complaining all the same; the nurse last week told me that two of the blokes in the Stroke Ward with me, didn’t make it out, so schtum Inchcock! One of them was, no; I’ll not mention his name, that would be thoughtless, in case anyone reads this blog. We exchanged email addresses. But the nurse spilt a jug of water over my notepad on the morning I was moved to the Residential Home. And the Arriva ambulance women who lifted me to the Acorn Home… Huh done it again, got the name wrong. I had to go on the web to find it, Humph! It was called the Oaks… I’m losing the plot here. Oh, yes, the Arriva ambulance drivers, rushed me so much, I ended up with stuff belonging to the poor chap in the next bed, and half my stuff missing!  It is now of sincere regret that we didn’t get a chance to use the emails. A grand chap. Not being morbid, just so sorry it had to happen to such a friendly and spirited young man.

Thinking about this, how the staff at the Oaks coped amazes me. At times it was like a nursery with aged adults. The kindness of some of the carers and cleaners will stay with me for as long as I have left. I took some chocolates and nibbles for them the week after I’d gone home. I really must take them some more, so they know how appreciated they were (Not all of them, of course).

Anyroad up, it took me over three hours to do one Brexit funny (A good un though, I think) and one Inchcock’s Thoughts in Rhyme.

I went to make another mug of tea, and the rain was still falling. The wee-wees seem to have slowed down. Just thought I’d mention it, like. Haha!

2Tue04

Alk08kI had a change and went on the TFZer Facebooking again. Pattie from Canada asked me if I had received a card and some flowers when I was in the Stroke ward in the hospital.

At the time, I was not really with-it when they were delivered. But could only see from the TFZers and no names. Bless yer, Pattie ♥ & Sandie ♥.

That would be the yellow flowers, in this picture that Pete took for me on a visit. I had no camera, no money, and no bank card. Pete had taken charge of them, for fear of them getting stolen. I had to scrounge a pen to do my crossword book with when the one I had dried up. No cash for papers either. But Jane kindly brought me a Nottingham Post from the day before that she had read and cut the coupons and quizzes out of. Hehe!

Back to CorelDrawing. I must get a move on, Tsk!

wd 0.0.255 Bloomin’ hard work this. I’ll have to give up, the hands, more so the arm and shoulder are going haywire too often with the shaking.

wd 0.0.255 The baby potatoes I put in the new slow-cooker three hours ago, were tested. Still rock-hard? Fed-uppererdness-Mode-Engaged!

2Tue22A change of plans then, chips again.

A super-doper meal and a half was enjoyed, despite the tiredness, the drooping eyelids, and the cracking headache and sneezing after the meal. The Aldi sourdough bread was brilliant as usual. A taste-rating of 7.9/10 for this effort, not bad at all.

It dawned on me; no porcelain Throne visits today at all. Just when I get the Cancer Screening kit to use, too. Tsk!

Did the washing up, took the medications, and sat down in the second-hand, gungy-beige recliner. Only to nod-off every ten minutes or so, and wake again. This lasted for ages.

2Tue07Got up for a wee-wee, took a picture of outside, and the rain had stopped. But it still looked a bit dodgy out there.

Head down again, I continued to nod-off every ten minutes or so, and wake again.

It was so late by the time I managed to get a decent bit of kip in. Hey-ho!
